OK, where to begin... First off, don't walk into the wrong place. The door splits into ...Cold Stone was it? Hell, maybe I'd have enjoyed myself more there! Ok, on to Five Guys: The store is really awkwardly shaped! Did anyone else notice that? When I went there were only two people, no one in line before me, and my burger took like 10 minutes. Seriously? If you're a burger joint, isn't making burgers sort of... your thing? Anywho, I was scared to eat some of the peanuts because... ya know, public peanuts are scary. Who knows what snot-nosed, booger-eating kid was digging his hand into them, right? So yea, I skipped on the peanuts. When the burger came, I was a bit underwhelmed. Ok, ok, I've been to a Five Guys before, so I know what to expect, ya dig? This burger looked to be the 3rd cousin, twice removed, of the burger I ate at the other Five Guys. ...that didn't stop me from eating it, you crazy? I'm just sayin, it was a sad looking burger. I guess I'm just not a fan of the whole... odd shape of the building, the decor, and the depressing burgers. So two stars, because I've LITERALLY experienced better, and from other Five Guys at that!

Five Guys' burgers and fries are pretty damn delicious. Yeah it's a chain and the decor truly is horrific at times but the burgers are big and tasty and the fries addictive. The employees working there when I last visited were very kind and apologized profusely when one of our burgers was accidentally made with cheese. They let us keep the original and immediately fixed the problem. The food here can get a little spendy but for an occasional visit to a specialty burger place, Five Guys will have my repeat business. In a weird way, a visit to Five Guys feels like a visit to a burger place from the 1950s or something. The menu is very simple and no-nonsense, which is refreshing.

I'm so conflicted about Five Guys. Some things to consider: 1. I love burgers. (clearly) And I thought Five Guys' burger was pretty dang yummy. (Surprising!) 2. I don't like chains. That said, I understand that there are some chain restaurants/stores/etc., that are acceptable-ish. c. I don't like the decor or the vibe. It's so loud and so so many "accolades" on the walls, everywhere. What are you trying to prove, giant burger chain? And it's all Bob Seger and the Eagles and stuff. Vom. 4. The burgers are pretty delicious. 5. Ranch is not a food group, that said, I'm one of those people. (clearly) They haven't any ranch. I mean, bad ranch is bad, but good ranch is heavenly. Um. g. Weird that they have peanuts sitting out, but the burgers are pretty delicious. Three stars.

Duuuude... what a ridiculous experience we had when we understood the menu better than the servers. On the menu there is the choice of the "kosher style dog," being that hubs and I do not eat pork, we dig the kosher options aka beef. Hubby asked for a kosher dog and the kid at the register looked at him dumbfounded and asked "what is that?" I was staring at the menu that said "kosher style dog" and thinking "are you friggin serious?!" Anyways, after hubby explained it means "beef hot dog" the kid turned and yelled to his co-workers "WHAT'S A KOSHER HOT DOG?" "OH, DO WE SELL BEEF HOTDOGS??" Duuuuude... learn what is on your menu, staring you in the face daily.

Good burger: way overpriced. Cheeseburger and fries $11.29. Who r u kidding? They have up all the reviews because it's the marketing NOT the quality of products. Dollar for dollar there are so many better options.

Yuk. This is the worst 5 guys I have ever been in. The place was filthy and the burger was meh. I have never been a huge fan of 5 guys. This place did it for me. I will not enter one again unless I absolutely have no other choice.

I think people are a little too harsh on Five Guys. Is it overpriced? Maybe. Is the decor unexciting? Maybe. Is the food good? HECK YES! I would gladly pay a few more dollars for a burger that is made to order with fresh ingredients. You can add on just about anything you want for no extra charge. The small size of french fries is enough to feed two. The first couple times I had their fries I didn't think they were anything special but then I came around to really like them. I've always been amazed by how friendly the staff is at all Five Guys locations I've ever been to. They go out of their way to be funny and seem to have a lot of pride for their burger. Give it a try. It's a great lunch spot.

It's A-OK. Here's why: -The burgers are pretty gigantic. For a fast food chain, you get big portions. There's never really a reason to order above a small fries unless you're feeding a family of 6 on it - super generous. -Perhaps because the portions are so enormous, it's a pricey place. 1 burger + 1 little burger + 1 small fries + 2 sodas = $20+. For real? Yes, it tastes good, but I could go somewhere with table service for that much. This is the part I always seem to forget when I go to Five Guys. -The staff at this location are pretty darn friendly. I've been here a few times and have always been treated politely and with great customer service. Two thumbs up to the staff.

I found the reviews of this place way too harsh. They make the decor seem awful and shabby, it isn't. Perhaps it's not chic or overtly aesthetically pleasing, but the place was clean and had a clear-cut theme. The food is good. You can add as many toppings as you wish at no extra charge, so even if you find the burger patty itself bland you can amp it up. The fries can feed multiple people, and if you're concerned about blandness I recommend the Cajun fries. The service may seem a little slow, but you should realize the food is being prepared specifically for you. The hamburgers aren't already made like at other fast food places -- it takes time to cook the meat. The burgers are large. The little hamburger is a quarter pound patty so don't listen to reviews that claim everything is small. Also Five Guys is a bit pricier than your average fast food restaurant because the portions are large and of decent quality.

Overrated and overpriced! I had the classic burger, fries, and a soda and it cost more than $13?!?!?! I haven't been to a fast food joint in a while, but have prices really gotten this bad? The burger tasted okay but for the price I was paying, I thought it would be bigger. The fires were another story. They were very greasy and over seasoned...it was disgusting.

Even the "little cheeseburger" is friggin' huge. The fresh cut fries are fab. I like the big box of gratis peanuts (though don't remove them from the store because someone might have an allergic reaction?). I've been to a few locations both in MKE and Chicago, and they are always pretty consistent in my experience. The burgers and fries are really tasty. The portions are huge. The staff is friendly. Sure, it's a chain, but it beats out McDonald's in every way possible as far as I can see.

Walking into this Five Guys, I felt like I was back on campus (UW-Milwaukee) and in search of anything that could fill my belly after a night of drinking. Decor is barebones, an afterthought that this is a sit down restaurant. I guess they want to just be judged by their burgers, fair enough. But then the burgers ain't all that. I found the hamburger to be tasteless, needing salt and pepper in addition to the toppings I had ordered, and I never salt anything. I like that you can get a ton of toppings, many not available at other burger chains, like A-1 sauce, BBQ sauce, fried onions or raw, but the toppings just can't save a tasteless burger. The cajun fries, however, were awesome. Skin-on hand-cut fries with a nice spicy cajun rub, I would pop in here just to grab fries if in the area. But next time I'm skipping the burger.

Five Guys offers a phenomenal, minimalistic approach in regards to their burgers although for only having a handful of menu options I would expect something a bit more mind blowing. While the burger was quite good in the traditional sense of flavor and quality of ingredients the fries were lacking in literally every regard. Limp and lifeless are adjectives I hate to use when describing food but I could think of nothing redeeming to say. For far better quality and bang for your buck in the area I will choose Kopp's in the future.

Sorry, but its just been erking me that I gave this place 3 stars. It's not anywhere I'd return and I was way disappointed. Overhyped. eh...liked the burger, not the fries, not the decor. Service was decent but there were only a couple customers in there anyhow . I had a little hamburger, which was actually really good (and pretty big) it was kind of sloppy and the bun kind of got compacted, but I did kind of like that. I got a regular order of cajun fries (wish they had a "small" cuz its a big order.) I don't no, I could have really done with out the fries. They were mushy, and the cajun flavor was just weird and not good to me. This meal with a regular soda also came to about $10. It just seems like fast food and I like my fast food in the single digits. It does look very very clean (important when the main dish is meat,) still...it just didn't feel inviting to me at all. I'll see if I like it better when the one opens at east point.

I had heard that FIVE GUYS was voted best fast food chain in America...so I finally caved and gave it a try. The burger was pretty good, but nothing really special about it. If you have beef and bread, and all those other simple burger ingredients at home...it's definitely something you can just put together yourself. In my opinion, I still think In-n-Out is way better. Five Guys offers more "toppings" for your burger like choice of mushrooms and jalapenos that In-n-Out doesn't, but I still think their burgers are more unique. Bottom line is, you can't go anywhere else to get a burger quite like an In-n-Out burger...and that's what keeps me coming back. Good points are that Five Guys gives you a bigger burger, and bigger patty if you like a lot of meat, and a ton of fries. The bad, their burgers and fries cost more than other places, and they stick their fries in a cup, so everything on the bottom gets soggy and gross. Also, they don't serve milkshakes. =(

TThe decor was nice and i like the fact that u get to eat peanuts while u wait. But the burger was over priced and very bland.

I seem to assign stars in extremes, so I vote "no" for Five Guys with one little star. One would think that, in Milwaukee, in 2011, near a college campus, a burger place would have a veggie burger option... but no...not Five Guys. They do have a "veggie sandwich" which consists of veggies that you would find as a supplement to a burger, stacked on a bun, but I find that completely unpleasant and a weak attempt to a veggie friendly menu. Maybe I was presumptuous to think I could go to a burger joint and expect vegetarian kindness. Personally, I don't think so. Furthermore, I don't enjoy the cold atmosphere, or the endless bag of fries. It epitomizes the gluttony of our overindulgent culture. They get one star because I liked the mustard.

I ordered your basic cheeseburger and fries, and both were excellent: big, juicy burger with lots of taste--big bucket of tasty fries. So far, a 4 or 5. On the other hand, the decor is appalling, less classy than the average McDonald's, at twice the price, and the chairs were rather uncomfortable. Given that, I'd give it a 3. Since I like to sit and linger over my food at lunch, rather than do take-out, I doubt that I'll be back.

This place is meh. Way too hyped and trying too hard to achieve a certain "look." Sure, the rave reviews plastered on the walls sound great, but where's the real excellent burger I keep hearing about. Here's a tip, if you order the fries, ask for them extra crispy. As good as hand-cut fries sound for you, they're really mushy if they don't keep it in there longer. It's a cool addition to the neighborhood, but it's not local. Also, I think it's pretty lousy they don't have a veggie burger patty for there veggie burger. I asked the cashier there if they had an actual patty. She told me yes, and I got a sloppy mess of vegetables in a bun. The place doesn't make me excited to go back. If their burgers were jumbo, then maybe I would reconsider.

The Five Guys by UWM is delicious! The location is great because it is located by a college campus and a decent way from the highway. The parking is easy because they have their own parking lot. Also there is a bus stop located right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is very spacious so you should be able to always find a place to sit. If you want a delicious, large, juicy, fast burger on the east side... this is the place! I have never had a problem with timing here. The staff has always been nice and it has never taken more than 10 minutes to get my food. YUMMY!

This is a review for the Five Guys by the UWM campus: It's a chain and it seems to vary a bit in quality depending on which one you go to (and also the time of day), but I think this one by the campus is pretty damn sweet: I was just happy to get a big fat juicy bacon cheeseburger and the meat was cooked juicy and damn right with a good amount of beef flavor. They also use pretty good bacon too -- I really enjoy taking a bite and having that bit of pork flavor hit my tongue. It's also nice to know there's a chain that uses fresh stuff (lettuce, tomato, onion, anyone?) and they seem to use some pretty good buns as well. They also make some pretty kickass fries as well -- My general experience with Five Guys is that their fries are hot and have a good taste of potato on the inside and yes, I mean they have a taste of potato -- If you thought potatoes had no flavor, then this place can prove that wrong. They leave the skins on (always a bonus for me) and the insides are soft and fluffy with a slightly crisp outside. Be warned, a regular order of those is a LOT and even with my highish metabolism, I still needed to share them with a friend just to finish them. In all seriousness, you can probably split them with two other people if needed. The one thing most people should probably be cautious about is if they have a peanut allergy. As far as I know, they fry their stuff in peanut oil and they have peanuts all over the place. Also, quality seems to vary from chain to chain -- I went to the one on Bayshore Town Center and that one wasn't so great in comparison (the burger was very sloppily put together, kinda soggy, and fell apart). I'd like to give them a 5-star rating, but because of the variance in quality (they overcooked my patties one night), I knocked down a star. In all seriousness, they really do deserve more of a 4.5.

Worst burger joint ever. The staff were extremely rude, burgers were poorly constructed, took way too long, and WAY too expensive for a burger. They also have their uncooked french fries sitting out where customers sit to eat, so people can sneeze on it and cough on it... Never going here ever again
