I've been coming to this restaurant since I was 10 years old and not by choice. And guess who takes me here?! That's right, my grandparents. They swear by this place. Even with all the new, fancy schmancy restaurants popping up at Bayshore, they still prefer this place. I understand the appeal (for my grandparents, that is.) The dishes are reasonably priced. Their menu is quite extensive, featuring American, Italian, Greek, and Tex-Mex fare. They even have Senior Specials that come with a soup or salad and dessert. I ordered a chicken caesar pita with fries and soup for 7.95. These days it is hard to find sit down restaurants where you can leave paying less than ten dollars a person; however, at Family Table that is still possible. I gave it three stars because everything about it is just okay. The food is mediocre at best and the service is nothing special. However, for my grandparents it's perfect. Did I mention I was the youngest person in the place? Also - my gps LOVE their Taco salad. I had a bite and it was pretty tasty.

Nothing about this place stands out except it's one of the only places in the neighborhood that hasn't turned over. It's been here forever because it's been here forever. Considering that it's an amazing establishment. Taco salad fried chicken breakfast whatever. I'd tell you to stay away from things like the ribeye, but of course stay away from the ribeye. My mom ordered that and loved it.

The food is what you might expect - quickly served, decent, and a good value for the money. However, Renee, the hostess leaves a lot to be desired. We came in with my granddaughter, asked her for a sling to seat her in. She said sure, and walked away, presumably to get it. She didn't. And she proceeded to ignore us and seat others. And she never checked to see if anyone else had gotten the sling because, sorry, it wasn't important to her. Food 4, wait service 5, personality and hospitality of hostess 0 That gives it an overall 3

I live really close and normally I've enjoyed it here until tonight - when my waitress brought out my food she also told me she was leaving and needed me to pay right away before she left. I went to the court term and the manager was like "how was everything?" I relied I don't know I just got it. I thought that was pretty rude and tacky. I understand wanting g to close out the bills but as you brought out my food? Really? Might think twice before coming here again.

The Pink Palace?? Is that what they call this place? Well I,for one, don't care what it's called as long as it keeps the coffee hot and fresh and the eggs done just the way I like 'em!! We went for breakfast on Christmas morning and this place was hopping! I was warmly greeted at the door and shown to a booth by the front windows. Now know there is nothing fancy about this place. . . In fact the 80's are probably calling wanting the wood booths with the flower upholstery back, along with the brass lights and hanging plants!! But the hospitality shown to me by the owner as well as our server, Renee, was outstanding so who cares that the place is a little dated? It's all a part of the charm!! I ordered an omelet and my dining companion had the Eggs Benedict. Both came up quickly ( amazing since the place was so busy)!! The bacon on the side was perfectly cooked as were the main dishes. And know if you want a fruit cup rather than the potatoes they will substitute it out but know that the potatoes are pretty darn good! And the price? Just about $30 for 2 so it was a good deal as well. So don't let the color put you off stopping in. For this is one "pink palace" that is worth a trip!!

I haven't been here in years and I won't be back! Our waitresses was very friendly but the food was horrible. I ordered the Denver omelet. Well it came and there was no cheese. I was informed that I had to ask for it and there was an extra charge. Once it came back with the cheese I noticed there were no mushrooms. What kind of Denver is this? Only ham onion and green pepper. As for my wife, her pancakes were cold, and both her bacon and sausage were both frozen microwave meat. Never again! I should have gone to McDonalds.

My husband and I visited Family Table for dinner a few weeks ago. It's a typical family restaurant type of place. The reason that I'm rating it 4 is because not only was the waitress (an older lady-sweet) very friendly (as well as the customers-who were obviously regulars) but the homemade bread and soup were delicious. We ordered Mozzarella sticks which were wrapped in like wonton wrappers. It was different and they were good. My husband liked the chicken parmesan and I had broasted chicken. Our dinners were good and dessert was included. They had homemade desserts which were nice. Nothing crazy special but we did get a lot of food for a reasonable price. If we lived closer we'd be regulars. If we find ourselves in the area again, we'd definitely go back.

This is a great restaurant for a business lunch! The service is really fast and the food is fantastic and inexpensive. The portions are HUGE too! The menu has just about everything and anything you can imagine. I ordered the Gyro and it was really good. All the meals that were ordered at our table looked equally as good too. I will come back here any time.

Bright spacious Greek restaurant indeed. Mauve seats with floral pattern check. large brass lighting. or railing made of brass. Live hanging green plants, check. Verdigris table with glossy oak trim check. large tables for plenty of food. check. large comfy booth with flat panel TVs check, check. Desert counter filed with pies puffs and cookies. check. Came in on a Tuesday around 6:00 plenty of parking and we were quickly seated. Waitress came introduced herself and took drink orders. delivering bread basket with crackers, while we reviewed the menu. The menus are large and easy to read. We ordered Turkey club and two Gyro platters. the dinners came with soup, coleslaw and fries and a whole pickle. The food came right after our hot soups. These were thick hearty soups with plenty of meat. Mine was beef and barley, and the other two were chicken dumpling. The waitress checked on us plenty. Overall a very good value in a relaxed setting not to loud and we the Onion rings and fries were excellent and large enough for 4 people share. And as usual with a Greek style restaurant, we had plenty to eat and left overs to carry out for later.

Great food! By far my favorite breakfast place. The inside is very nice and clean despite the pink building!

I finally gathered the nerve to venture over to the Pink Palace for lunch today. I was jonesing for a french dip, and hoped they had one. We walked in a little after 1:00 and there were only 6 other tables in the restaurant. We were seated and watered immediately, but our server didn't come over for TEN minutes! We were making a scene of looking around dramatically, we only had a hour for lunch! Once she finally came, we were ready to order. They started off by giving us a "bread basket", which was hilarious - it was literally two slices of bread that you could buy at the supermarket, separated into a plastic sandwich baggie, in a basket. Cold and old. We started with mozzarella sticks. They came right away and were won-ton wrapped and really good. I had the french dip, chicken dumpling soup and french fries. Holy hell. I couldn't eat it all, and I was starving! The meat wasn't fatty or stringy which was good, but the bread was hard and tasteless. The au jus was VERY salty, but about what I expected. My guest got a gyro and complained of the 'frozen tasting' very thinly sliced meat. She ate most of it anyways. I ate half my sandwich and was done. The fries were perfectly cooked, however had a very fishy taste to them which made me question when the last time they cleaned their fryer was. Overall it was quick service for a decent price, and I would return.

I wasn't expecting a lot from this place; from the outside, it's certainly not much to look at. But, we needed to find a place for breakfast, stat, and this was the closest. We were nervous going on a Sunday at 10ish, and while it was indeed packed almost to capacity, we were seated right away, and our food was delivered in a very timely manner. We had the veggie omelet, chicken breast skillet, and two "deuces" (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon). They were all really good. Hot and fresh, big portions, but not omg-this-is-ridiculous big portions. We did take home some leftovers, but some plates were finished without feeling like we overate. Our server was very nice and asked at the beginning if we'd be splitting our check, which saved some hassle at the end and was very appreciated.

First off, I'm very happy that Family Table is my 500th review. I had been wanting to come here for a while and glad I finally did. My gf and I came here for dinner using a coupon I got off the back of a Pick N' Save receipt. To start, we were both kinda overwhelmed by their menu. It was one of the biggest I've ever seen. Breakfast all day, steaks, sandwiches, melts, burgers, (both a 1/3 lb section and a separate 1/2 lb section), and more. You get a good amount of food for your money. For $13 I got chicken that came with veggies, fries, soup, bread and free desert. You definitely leave full. So since FT likes to advertise with Pick N' Save, I'm sure I'll go back there as I got 3 more coupons for them on the back of my receipt good until the end of the year.

First, the service I've received the past few times I've been there has been great. There's definitely been an attitude adjustment. The food continues to be good as well. I always know that I will get a decent meal. I was going to raise my review to 4 stars but I thought about the carpet and ceiling tiles. The carpet is beyond redemption and the ceiling tiles are filthy. Not to mention that old tube TV hanging down just reminds you that there hasn't been an update in decades.

I've eaten at the "Pink Palace" so many times that I've lost track. Today, I ordered the "Dueces" (probably not the best name for a dish) which included 2 pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausages, and 2 strips of bacon. All was pretty standard and exactly what you'd get at any other Milwaukee Greek restaurant. The only disappointment were the pancakes... they were really difficult to cut through with the side of my fork like a good pancake should be. And they could have been a little warmer too. The ol' man got the "South Of The Border" breakfast: Mexican rice, beans, and Chorizo hash with tortillas. He ALWAYS gets this whenever he eats there. It must be really good for him to be that loyal, but I'll have to take his word on it because I don't touch beans or Chorizo. Our server seemed a little weird this morning. Talking strangely about the weather and raising children. It was just odd and uncomfortable. But I suppose she was just trying to be personable, so I can't fault her. Up at the front, they sell whole cakes and slices and some other random desserts. I've actually heard that some of there cakes are amazing and I spied an awesome looking German chocolate cake on the way out that I wanted to take home devour all by myself in a dimly-lit room. All in all, it's a standard Milwaukee Greek restaurant and the only one in the Brown Deer area, so go there if you're looking for relaxed dining and huge menus with alright food at reasonable prices.

This place has very little curb appeal, but don't be discouraged! Service is usually good and the food is always out quick and served hot. Try and have an empty coffee cup, I dare you. Overall the service and food have been very good on the half dozen times I've eaten here. I have not tried lunch or dinner, but their breakfast service is quite nice.

Super helpful wait staff. Non-stop coffee/water refills. Great "meat lover" omelette recommendation from our waitress. So hungry, I would have eaten anything. Packed, Greek-style family restaurant. Thumbs up if you are looking for "not a chain".
