My friends and I were in Milwaukee. Some of us were hungover. Some of us weren't. Thus, we couldn't eat total crap, but we needed some good hangover food before the Cubs/ Brewers game. El Greco delivered. First of all, we were seated immediately on a Sunday morning. A group of six. Seated immediately. This place is huge. Cups and saucers were already at the table, so we were served coffee as soon as we sat down and said, "Uh, yes please." Everyone ordered an omelet of some kind, and everyone was more than satisfied. The food and out quickly. It was so hot and fresh that you could actually see the cheese melting as it sat in front of you. Prices are reasonable, the menu is large, and the service is top notch.

Gyro was very good! I would recommend it to anyone who is hungry. Also they have a large selection in their menu!

As Joe G. mentioned earlier, Greek family restaurants are plentiful in Milwaukee. You are guaranteed a large variety of food in generous amounts, served round-the-clock on a consistent basis from year to year; from the first time visiting, to the last time there, with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. My friend and I split the beer battered mushrooms as an appetizer and we each had the cheeseburger and fries. The burger was big enough to bring half of it home and came with lettuce, tomato, a dill pickle spear, coleslaw, mayo on the side, and with sliced raw red onions on request. You can add a bowl of hot french fries for only a dollar. My only complaint was that the beer battered mushroom appetizer was kinda skimpy for the cost which consisted of 8 mushrooms for around $4.99. It came with Ranch dressing and Marinara sauce on the side, but as my friend mentioned, "Well hey, it comes on a bed of lettuce!" Aside from the mushrooms, I'm very sure I'll be back because you know it's a, "no lose situation" if you ever take a chance on any of the Greek family restaurants. Next time... Breakfast!!!

While Greek restaurants may be easily found in Milwaukee, none do it better than El Greco in terms of combining fast service, excellent prices, and a large selection of items to choose from. Breakfast is solid and has something for everyone; dinner is not as good, but the pumpkin challa bread is outstanding. Whenever my mother-in-law comes to town, I already know that I have to carve out a stop at Greco! My only complaint is that the service can be spotty, not in terms of responsiveness, but in care and concern. The waitress' opening line should never be, "Do ya know what you want?" Pretend to care and say "Good morning," or "How are you?" You'll see that reflected in your tip!

I like having breakfast at El Greco. The omelets are always good and they serve coffee cake with your meal. The staff is always friendly and the waitresses are prompt and kind. I've only had one waitress who was slow to come back with our check and when she did, she smelled like a cigarette. yuck.

Great food and bakery...friendly staff with prompt service. Simply a great breakfast stop! Love the corned beef hash & eggs...my favorite!

Price vs quality vs taste makes El Greco one of the most solid breakfast places in the Milwaukee area. The sour dough toast is dense and hearty, not that wimpy light kind. The sausage patties are zesty and flavorful, not the bland kind. The eggs and hash browns are always perfect. After my 5 or 6 visit here I am always impressed by the consistency and quality of the food. The service is always wonderful and the whole breakfast experience is alleyways great.

Routine stop-off after work with my colleague and friend... Great service always, the only negative was one experience with poor patrons and had nothing to do with staff... Great place locally, essentially halfway between work and home.

Great food @great prices. Breakfast all day in addition to lunch and dinner menus. We typically go here for brunch and food is always fast and delicious. Typical Greek & American cuisine. Open 24hours! Why have I driven past this great place for so long?

Faster service than McDonald's, for as fast as it came out I was surprised it was so good.

Two stars for cleanliness and decor. If you like large potions this place is for you. They don't have a healthy menu if that's something you're looking for fresh veggies, fruits or smoothies. Its a meat eaters crowd over weight unhealthy in appearance clientele mostly family style environment typical diner. Some where to take your grandparents not place for Millennials.

One of the many privately-owned Greek Family Restaurants in the greater Milwaukee area, this one is attractive, clean, comfortable, friendly and has many, many well-prepared choices at reasonable prices. We've eaten here a number of times and usually take half of the order home because the entrees are very generous. Recently had two stuffed cabbage rolls, an Eastern European specialty, but El Greco had inserted it's own Greek touch with unusual seasonings. The breads served with the meal are interesting, corn bread and challah. You can return often and always find either a unique special or something as yet untried on the menu. Not gourmet, but comfort food ad its best.

I've been here about 15 times with my aunt. The staff knows her very well and they are very personable with us. They take a lot of crap from angry and demanding customers (let's be honest, my aunt can be this way), yet the wait staff remains very patient and takes care of you all the same. The Hawaiian omelette is a good option if you enjoy pineapple in pizza or other random dishes. Huge portions and tasty ($7.95). Coffee is always so-so but I'm used to more high end coffee anyway. Don't be deceived, it's not Greek food. Anytime I tell a friend I went here, they think it's greek. They basically have EVERY type of food, and they somehow do a good job making all of it.

Best breakfast in town hands down. While Greek family restaurants are plentiful in Milwaukee, I feel this one has the biggest and best menu, and somehow the majority of the food still tastes fantastic. They have great soups, great bakery, great specials. And on top of all that, it's also one of the few quality restaurants that's open 24 hours. For breakfast, they have awesome omelettes and huge waffles. For lunch and dinner, they have some good burgers, gyros, and great lamb chops. You really can't go wrong with this place. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Wonderful staff and service!

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the gyro plate, and my boyfriend ordered the fajitas. Was a little disappointed that my gyros didn't have the cheese that I'm accustomed to being with them, but otherwise it was great. my boyfriend was very happy with the fajitas, while I was embarrassed as hell when they came out because the plate was loudly sizzling and smoking for at least five minutes after it arrived. all around decent atmosphere, although I'm wondering if the one rotting corn on the cob that was sitting on the windowsill was supposed to be there.

A wide selection of decent food at very affordable prices, plus great service. The restaurant was clean and bright, dishes were huge, and the dessert selection was incredibly hard to resist.

Greek restaurants are a dime a dozen in Milwaukee, and you pretty much expect to find good food, large portions, and reasonable prices as reliable features of even the mediocre ones. El Greco's exceeded expectations in each respect, offering great service and above-average food in a very pleasant restaurant that was clean, interesting, and obviously very popular with the locals. Lunch was so large that the leftovers came home as dinner, and my sandwich was just as good for dinner.
