First off, the 2 for $10 is such a great deal for a really good hot sandwich. Comes with: 2 sandwiches 2 fries (sides) 2 cookies (desserts) Okay.... I came in to check out the new decor of the cousins subs on campus and was pretty impressed. It's like Robert Irvine came in for restaurant impossible here. The space just feels so much more clean, new, and modern. I finally know what toppings are available with the new glass shields. I hope cousins subs change all their shops in this way. Cousins always had great quality sandwiches if you're not in a rush. I shared the 2 for $10 with a friend (I owe him a sandwich now) and got the Italian cheese steak. You can never go wrong with cheese and steak combo. What I really love about this place is the staff. One of the guys who works there has been there for foreverrrrr. He seems to love life and love making good food for his customers. I don't even think he's the manager but I am sure you will know who I am talking about if he ever serves you. Made some good conversation with him, had a laugh, and he even made suggestions that made my sandwich even more delicious! The food is good but the five stars is for this guy Concluding Haiku: Takes awhile to wait Give that man a big fat raise! It is worth the wait

I would normally rate a Cousins at about 3 stars. I know exactly what I will get when I order. This location just has a terrible layout with two large columns right were the line should form. The spacing kind of makes waiting for you sub to be ready awkward, as no one really know where to go after ordering. Otherwise, this is a pretty typical Cousins.

Someone thought it would be a good idea to put a sandwich shop here, with huge building supports scattered throughout the restaurant that makes it difficult to move about while you go from ordering to paying to waiting for your lunch. But whatever, it's all about the food, right? Well, the sandwich was decent. Somewhat better than Subway and maybe not as good as Quizno's. I did have their Cuban Sandwich and it had all the right fixings they just didn't taste right. They're only open for lunch. I've walked past in the evenings and seen the employees busily slicing tomatoes and meats for the next day.

They're inexpensive, quick and good. I had had them before, once in a suburb that is near where I live. They're located in an interesting spot, bc they're surrounded by bars and brat type places, but I guess that makes them stand out. If you need something quick and don't have time to sit down and have a lengthy meal, stop in to Cousin's.

I miss these subs! I love the bread! I've been a fan of their ham subs. Oh and of course I get the fries. Wish they would move closer to Chicago. I came across one in East Dundee, IL...but that's about 35 miles north of the city. :( Every time I'm in the Milwaukee area...I always stop for a sub.

I've been to this location at least 50 times so by now I should be considered an expert. Layout - 0/5 stars. Whoever decided to take the layout of this place and make it into a sandwich shop went to design school at the Braille Institute. It is narrow with perfectly positioned pillars to get in the way of every person walking in or out. Service - 4/5 stars. Most of the employees look and act relay happy. Maybe they are on some good drugs or maybe they enjoy watching people get pissed at the horrible layout. Either way service is good. Sandwich - 3/5 stars. I love mayo (Side story... I used to refuse my moms home cooked meals as a child in lieu of mayo on white bread), but they layer it on a little too much. When I forget to ask them to hold back, even I am a little disgusted. Other than that it isn't too bad. I am a bigger fan of Jimmy Johns, but that would require another 10 blocks to be walked during a lunch break. Bonus - Each day of the week they have a menu special. I am a fan of the free cookie with combo Monday and the $5 combo Thursday.

Had the Philly Steak for lunch today. The meat was a mystery meat and I could only stomach half the sandwich. The roll, onions, and green peppers were all fresh and tasty, but the meat was not good. I have had other sandwiches here that were better.

Been going to Milwaukee in the summer annually for years now as a family. During the winter months, my kids make comments often about how much they wish there was a cousins around. Food is very good, pricing is right, and we have never received bad service.....that is all I want from a sandwich shop. Good Job!!

This must be Jimmy John's cousin :-) I actually didn't visit the store but bought a club sandwich from a cart in front of 777 E Wisconsin during lunch rush. Very convenient. The cart business would go better if the guy pushing it had more personality (poor guy has to compete w/ the Mexican grill and George's hotdog for busienss)

It's really more like 3 1/2 stars. There isn't too much to this place other the great subs. The sandwich's are very good and a great alternative to going to any fast food joint. Not to mention, the prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The only knock I have on this particular location (the one I frequent most) is the staff is very dry. Almost all of the employees seem to lack personality. I get you probably don't love your job, but don't make it so obvious you hate being there. I'm always friendly and speak when it's my turn to order, but you don't always get a response back. If you can put up with the unpleasant staff (most times - not always) then this is a great spot to stop for a good sub.

Yes, it's the bread that makes the sub and Cousins has very good bread. Look forward to visiting again.

My spouse brought me a Greek Chicken sub from Cousins and it was delish. Good bread, perfect (if rather messy) seasonings, and just the right thing after a morning of swimming. Highly recommended.

Best subs ever. Hands down. I can't put my finger on the seasoning that makes them so good, but I have yet to find a better sub sandwich.
