Cake bite update: these bad boys are now up to $2 a piece! When I discovered them back in 2009 they were $1, which in my opinion is the perfect price for this bite-sized piece of deliciousness. Then they went up to $1.50, which seemed a little silly but I understand the cost of materials / etc goes up, so whatever. But $2 for a little bite-sized treat? Come on! ---- The cake bites are to die for! I've never been a cake lover, every birthday my entire life I've had ice cream cake ... but the cake bites (especially the red velvet) are amazing! Go ahead and get 2 right away, you'll want them! I'm also a BIG fan of the raspberry cheesecake ones, although they have them less frequently which is sad, so get a few when they have them!

you don't know what true love is until you've eaten some treats at C. Adam's Bakery. The Cake Bites are TO DIE FOR. Red velvet, carrot cake, mint chocolate, chocolate orange, raspberry chocolate omg I think I've tried them all. The Heath cookie is amazing, as with all of their cookies. Perfect texture, crunch on the outside, chewy on the inside. Such a yummy yummy place I want to try everything! Plus Laura Beth and Katy are the best!

This place is just ridiculously delicious... If someone tells you to bring over a dessert for any sort of get together, get your butt to C. Adams in the Milwaukee Public Market for as assortment of Cake Bites. I highly recommend the carrot cake and red velvet. Absolutely INCREDIBLE! Reasonably priced too. Great value here! I've picked up a slice of carrot cake and absolutely loved it. High quality ingredients, make for something that tasted real. No Crisco here! Also, the date bar is chewy and delicious. This place may be one of many places you zip on past in the Milwaukee Public Market, but stop that nonsense. Stop at the counter and spring on a small cake bite. You will likely buy another.....

Everything is made from scratch and with great care...and it shows. The cupcakes are my favorite, hands down. The cake bites are a great treat and buying an assortment is a good option for a host/hostess gift or a little something extra to bring to a dinner party. The cakes are gorgeous and you can place special orders ahead of time for birthdays or events.

This is the ONLY bakery in town to get a good cookie and their Danish are fantastic as well.

My boyfriend and I had purchased a variety of cookies for a family gathering. I have had MANY of their desserts on multiple occasions so I knew I was in for a treat. By the time we got to serving them, they were in pieces and some...crumbs. I was very disappointed. I called the next day and spoke with a lovely young lady named Carrie. She contacted the owner/manager to see what they could do. They provided me with a full refund AND a $10 gift card. I was VERY impressed with how they treat their patrons. This story started out as kind of a bummer but ended with a "sweet" deal:) Keep it up!!!

What does the C stand for? C might stand for cookies. We brought two of them home, a peanut butter and a oatmeal raisin, and they were both scrumptious. I'm usually on the chewy cookie side of things, but these crumbly cookies were mouth watering. C might stand for Can do without the brownies. We also brought one of these home, a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup brownie. It was a little dry and a little too rich. My wife bought this, didn't like it and passed it on to me. I took a couple bites, and try to pass it on to baby. Baby wouldn't eat it, the next natural progression is the dogs, but since they can't eat chocolate, it became mulch. Hopefully the worms like it. C definitely DOES NOT stand for C U Next Tuesday. Some folks had problems with the lady workers here so I was hesitant when I approached the counter. I hate paying good money to be treated like crap. While they might have not been the most affectionate customer service reps, they were quick to serve, attentive and definitely not rude. Good job ladies. I'm pretty sure C stands for cheesecake. While most restaurants crash and burn when they offer "New York Style" cheesecake, C Adams does a great job with their version. Rich, thick, creamy it's the real deal. The texture is just right and it's a huge slice for your money, enough to be shared with your significant other. The only complaint I have about it is that they put an inch thick layer of whipped cream on the top. While I love whipped cream, this cheesecake is great on its own. You could cut the whipped cream in half and still have a great piece of cheesecake. C stands for Come in and try the Cheesecake.

After a lack luster dinner at the Safe House we were in search of something to satisfy the sweet tooth. Mission accomplished here! This bakery has a great selection of pies, cookies, cakes, sweets and deserts. I couldn't turn down a slice of the cherry-topped cheesecake. Great taste and a huge portion, my only regret was not having the stomach to finish it!

I adore this place. When I get pastries for my office everyone hopes they are from C. ADAM'S. Has the NEST brioche buns and cheese danish. I am personally adicted to the pecan sticky bun and the cranberry bran muffin-more like spice cake than a bran muffin YUM! And yes, what everyone says about the cake bites is TRUTH.

Can't have a savory meal without having it followed by something sweet. Even if it's a itty bitty treat. Well look no further, C Adams Bakery is your meal ticket to the sweet land. Cookies galore, a plethora of cakes including red velvet, german chocolate to name a few. Brownies, a hodge podge of pies. We picked up a slice of the pecan pie and the Derby Pie. The Derby Pie was to die for. It's a glorified pecan pie with dark chocolate mixed in. uhmmmph. Thanksgiving just got a whole lot brighter! I may have to put in some special orders here and take a road trip it back specifically for this pie (and a stop at our new favorite St Paul's Fish Company). The cookies were good. If you like your soft and chewy, these may not be your favorite. These are the crunchy, crumbly kind. Noted? Ok!

Mea culpa! I owe an apology to C. Adams. I was hungry and was a tad over-stimulated about a grand opening when I reviewed nearby seller of some similar items. Now, I realize that the Chocolate Covered Cheesecake slice is $3.50 here...compare at $10.95/slice at other place. I have not done a taste test because I'm not willing to pay the $10.95 for the guilty pleasure of one slice that I shouldn't be eating. The excellent cake bites are $1.25 at C. Adams...compare at $2.75.

Cake bites. They get an extra star for these deliciously moist cake balls dipped in chocolate. Wasn't a huge fan of the lemon poppy seed, but I adored the carrot cake and red velvet. Again, prices aren't great, but it's worth the treat.

I had to go to Oro for my balsamic run and thought I'd stop at C. Adams for a "sugar fix". The display was outstanding! 5 stars for that. I was planning on getting the tirimisu, but it was not the typical layered cake, but looked more like a cup of custard. I decided on a scone and a blueberry muffin. What a waste. The scone was dry and dense - no taste. The blueberry muffin had the majority of blueberries on the outside of the muffin (a total of 6 blueberries AND NONE in the inside of the muffin). The scone and the muffin seemed as though it was made from the same batter. I was so disappointed that I spent money on tasteless bakery. Never again.

Five stars for the best cookies ever! Everything they had looked good but we were on a mission for cookies and they delivered. We got the chocolate chunk, snicker doodle and peanut butter cookies and they were fannnnnntasic! They had cute St Paddy's day cookies there too. Service was fast and nice.

I have a love/hate relationship with this bakery. I want to love their products because it all looks so good, but at the end of the day it's how things taste that matters. Love: the single serve chocolate pots de creme. Holy. Shit. They are incredible. As good as anything I've eaten in France and better than those served at a certain fancy pants restaurant by the lake. Creamy, chocolatey goodness and perfect in every way. Hate: Their Red Velvet in any incarnation. Cupcakes, layer cake, etc - it's all just bad. The cake is flavorless and gummy - another reviewer said it tastes like food coloring and I'd agree. The frosting is again, too dense - and not cream cheesy. It's like eating a picture of a red velvet cake - just sad. Love: they had samples of a breakfast danish that ham, cheese and eggs baked right in. A winner - the pastry was light and flaky. Yum. Hate: snippy, borderline rude service. I had a hard time deciding between 2and 3 stars....red velvet cake is my favorite so pushing a whack variety is a sin. But those delectable pots de creme redeem things....somewhat. Work on your Red Velvet game, C. Adams.

Pro: ... cake bites! Con: Price of one singular cake bite! ($1.50) Pro: Serving size of said cake bites; they're small so I won't get too huge too quick (... but are they worth the ridiculous price)? Con: Not really. Con: Damn. --- Pro: Really awesome looking cakes and pies! Cookies never seem as appetizing, but whatever! I've had the Cowboy cookie and it's damn good! The Wisconsin cookie sounds pretty great too. Sweet stuff, you guys. Con: Reality: Some of their goodz are teh awesome, and some of them are just, well, lackluster. (High hopes for the raspberry streusel bar only to be met with disappointment... ) Pro: Key Lime Pie! Con: I've not had theirs yet. Pro: They have key lime pie! I love key lime pie! Con: Everything here seems really expensive, some things more so than others. Con: The girl behind the counter was really disaffected and seemingly hated her life. That's the worst. Con: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE

Over the past few days I have tried a number of items. The chocolate peanut butter cake slices...delish! The red velvet cake slice...amazing! The decorated butter cookie...yum!! The oatmeal scottie cookie...heaven! The chocolate peanut butter brownie, uh not that great. The small chocolate chip butter cookie...um no. Overall some very good bakery items! I loved the oatmeal scottie the most!!!

The most amazing chocolate chip cookies I have ever has in my life... So buttery and flaky and chewy in the middle so amazing... From LA was at Marquette for a school thing and just stumbled upon the market... Loved everything about the place ... Seeing if they will ship their product at the rate I am craving it I'd pay anything!! lol

Stand in front of C Adams' glass case of treats & bask in its awesomeness. I certainly did the other day. I was sitting at home feeling perfectly fine, then I heard the siren song from their butter cookies. I had to go to it. As I stood & admired all of the delicious looking types of cake bites (while telling myself to only spend $5) I was a bit disappointed at the price of $1.50 each. But alas, the song that drew me to C Adams was from the butter cookies anyway, and for a measly $0.50 each, I would've been remiss not to answer the call! They even had a jar full of my favorite, the chocolate chip butter cookie. Its texture is sublime; slightly crispy, but velvety and sweet. This is the kind of cookie that can make your day in an instant. I also got a L'oreo cookie. At $2.00, I thought its price to be a bit steep, but that chocolaty marvel is leaps & bounds better than that Nabisco cookie of a similar name. I nibbled it as I drove home, & had the urge to sing Smokey Robinson's "Oooh Baby Baby" to the cookie. Seriously. Need I say more?

I haven't ever had a problem with the service there. They are always friendly and helpful. The slices of cake that Mr. Snarky and I had were delicious... moist, rich, the right amount of frosting to cake ratio. However, I have stopped back a couple of times and bought two different of the mini cakes... they were both dry and lacking in flavor. They were certainly sweet, but lacking in other flavor. I think I will stick to the slices of cake.

I had the New York Style Cherry Cheesecake. It was heaven on earth. Just like Ma's when she actually "put her foot" in her cheesecake recipe back in the day. I will be back.

They have an award-winning cake decorator, literally. Their sweet baked goods are all beautiful, and in taste they range from delicious to okay. Everything is Public Market priced, which is to say, it's overpriced. Also like most other places in the Public Market, service varies from quick and friendly to tired and worn out, depending on a set of variables I have yet to figure out. One annoying assault on English I've noted here, all over the Public Market, and elsewhere with counter help is, "can I help who's next?" Excessive wordiness. What happened to, "next please?" And in this particular case, there's a single counter, room for only a single row, single file line, and I get the "can I help who's next?" even if there are only two of us standing in front of the glass. How hard would it be to just pay a little attention and ask the first person to look up if he or she needs something? I really like the Kentucky Butter Cake (a variation of pound cake) and their German Chocolate Cake. The Chief of Staff likes their cake bites. All in all, the product tends to be good enough to excuse the lapses in customer service quality and slight overpricing.

If you want a red velvet cupcake that tastes like they slathered a tub of Philadelphia's creme cheese on it, then this is the place for you. I was in Milwaukee for a baseball game and had a few minutes to check out the downtown area so I decided to find a place that sold cupcakes. The two girls working there looked like they hate their lives. Come on ladies could you look a little less enthusiastic, geeeesh?! Maybe their other stuff is good, but the cupcakes. No bueno.

Amazing bakery - I don't think I've ever been disappointed with any thing - cookies, pies, cakes; either special order or out of the case, they make an amazing product. Service on the other hand often disappoints; this is one of those situations that you go there for the product, but deal with "dealing with them". On three occasions I've placed special orders, and two of those have been wrong. One instance involved them misplacing and not making my special order (they rushed to make up for it when I picked it up), and the other instance was prepping a special order wrong. The clerks are fine just delivering something out of the case - but that's as far as it goes. We're also a member of the Third Ward Assoc and are supposed to get a 10% discount on Tuesdays, but the first time I used it, the clerk gave me a discount on ONE cookie when I ordered 9. I know none of these things are huge in the big picture when they have amazing goods, but something to pay attention to in an upscale environment like the Market. Advice: Watch special orders very carefully (and even call the day before to make sure they're getting it right). Otherwise - enjoy thoroughly what you get from them - it's worth the higher prices. Final note: Their cookies are probably the best you can get.

Such great treats yet such rude employees; C. Adams, you are conundrum. If your Seventh Heaven bars are appropriately named, should your employees be called children from the Fifth Circle of hell? Seriously, there might not be a better mouthful in Milwaukee than your red velvet cake balls, but oh the hassle of getting them... A trip to your counter reminds me of the old adage that says you have to take the good with the bad. Can't I have only the good, C.Adams? Just once?

I was dying as I ate the parmesan croissant from this bakery. Flaky, cheesy, salty croissant that was perfectly baked. Then I also tried the chocolate chip butter cookie: WOW. Some of the other baked goods didn't look so great, but the ones I tried were 5 stars. LOVED IT.

Of all my visits to the market why have I never stopped here before!? My boyfriend, being the sweet tooth that he is, insisted we pick up cookies for a "snack" later (even though we just finished our dessert). Seriously, I'm legitimately sad I never discovered these amazing cookies earlier. He got a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and I got the "Wisconsin"- cranberry, walnut, maple syrup goodness. He also got a New York cheese cake ball. I personally thought it was a little bit ridiculous to pay a dollar for this itty bitty bite of cheese cake but OH EM GEE it was good. like, beyond amazing good. My cookie? Despite it being the size of my head and me promising myself I was going to save half for breakfast, I scarfed it down. and stole more than a couple bites of my boyfriends cookie. I really can't stop craving more of that cookie. I legit may have to eat there everyday and get cookie fatigue so that I don't miss them too much when I leave.

There's nothing worse than when you want a delicious treat, pick one out based on the name and look of it, and come to find that it just sucks. Husband and I got an assortment of treats today; a "heath" cookie, two red velvet cake bites, and a slice of peanut butter cup chocolate cake. First, the cookie... gorgeous, but tasted like little other than a chocolate chip cookie. Not terribly exciting, but edible. Next, I tried a cake bite. The outside chocolate shell was flavorless, and the inside cake part was mushy and wet and just... bad. It tasted like food coloring. I was saving the cake for last, hoping it'd be the show stopper. Boy was I wrong. I love cake. LOVE cake. And I couldn't even finish this. Ask my husband -- this has never happened before. The frosting was almost like a weird thick oversweetened pudding. The cake part wasn't bad, but there was too much frosting in between the layers to enjoy it. Maybe the bars and brownies are a bit more tasty, but I probably wouldn't bother to find out.

The cookies look good but they're not. Crumbly, not soft, not chewy, not moist. Crumbly. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. The Chocolate Chip was better but it wasn't what I asked for. I asked for Ginger Cookie and discovered Chocolate Chip in my bag.

    C. Adams Bakery is normally at the top of my list when stopping at the Public Market. In the past, it has been my main or only reason for making a trip there. I think those days are gone. My poor experience started with the service. I have seen this bespeckled young lady behind the case many times, but she was particularly indifferent and stiff during this visit. She asked, "May I help who's next?" I told her our selections--a Wisconsin cookie & a Cowboy cookie--after some indecision, and she went to check us out. She showed no sign of personality and continued without expression. I felt much like a part of an assembly line, an item being processed to ship off. $2.50 for an oversized cookie is very reasonable. $2.50 for what tasted like a day-old cookie was far from acceptable. I bit into my cookie as we drove away from the Market, and the taste was almost enough to make me turn around. The cookie was difficult to bite into and tasted like cardboard. I have never had this experience at C. Adams before, and it nearly made me stop dead in my tracks, literally. If cardboard is made in Wisconsin, then I guess the cookie was appropriately named. Please get the memo: Integrity and humility allow your product to remain true to the origins of the brand. C. Adams needs to go back to its humble beginnings, and put love back into their baking ingredients.

Everytime we have been here, we have gotten something different...the cake bites will satisfy the one bite dessert craving. Overall, they are pretty heavy though. The croissants are decent as well. This time around I also tried the "seventh heaven', a concoction cacophony of a brownie with caramel, nuts and coconut. It was too much for one sitting, but it tasted nice with coffee. The oreos and cupcakes are just average, it you are going for something here, go for the cake bites. Great for dessert while dining at the public market.

  • Heather B.

I am obsessed with this bakery's red velvet cake bites. I have never in my life tasted any cake this moist!!!! I often buy a bunch of these and hand them out to co-workers and friends. After one bite everyone is an instant fan and HAS to go buy some for themselves. At a dollar a piece, everyone needs to pop into the public market and try them. You will not be disappointed!

I have had the almond horn and the chocolate silk pie here. Both were a very good, though a bit too pricey. The chocolate silk pie is very dense and rich, not a light fluffy silk pie.

OMG the carrot cake. I could have ate the whole cake. Trust me, get it! Now the ginger cookie.... That was just nasty and left a terrible aftertaste. Couldn't eat more than one bite, and I usually love gingerbread/ginger snap cookies. But that carrot cake was good enough that if I lived here, I'd be there everyday.

WARNING: ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! LOTS OF YUMMIES AHEAD. 1. They have some pretty great pastries, and a nice variety for the most part (+) 2. Sometimes the items they have can be more on the expensive side compared to other places (-) 3. They have a very delicious, rich New York Style Cheese cake which is to die for. (+) 4. Service is often short/rude (-) 5. They are open early, so I like stopping by before work (+) 6. They don't always have chocolate macadamia nut cookies, which is the main reason I go there (-) 7. The things they do have, cookies wise at least, do stay nice and soft for a while. e.g., I ordered a cookie and an apricot pastry last week Friday and didn't get to them until today (Tuesday) but they are still soft. Dry, but soft. Which I mostly appreciate. I'd recommend.

I like to celebrate those things that are Milwaukee. Good or bad im pretty much ride or die. I will tell the truth in the process about the establishments that are good and or bad. This bakery im sure has its good days. Ive thumbed threw a couple of reviews so i know this to be fact. Its just on this Sunday that i decided to go it was a bad day. The market is crowded as usual no biggie. I didn't want to go but my kids did want to go. We are waiting in line while people ahead are being called on, I say hmm to myself. Finally i make my way to the counter and i say do you sell your items by the dozen. She says you can buy how many you want but the price will remain the same. So let me think if i grab 12 cookies at 3.50 a piece im paying 30 bucks for 12 cookies? Nah! So the kids and I grabbed some ice cream and came back i got a couple of 50 cents cookies and I asked what were the biscotti bites. The lady says an Italian desert. Im like ok I have no idea what it is. Im assuming you baked these so before i spend my money on these i would like to know more about them besides that they are from Italy. What do they taste like? What is the texture? Flavors? Something she gave me nothing besides a face full of fake shagrin. I said let me have a couple of the peanut butter 50 cents cookies. Abruptly she says Pecan butter cookies. Just like that, correcting me as opposed to educating me or making sure that i want them and i could have mistaken pecan for peanut. I got the cookies home and the majority of them fell apart. The cookies i had which were the Sugar and Peanut Butter tasted gritty and dusty if you can imagine. I will stick to my fav place Amaranth Bakery. It tasted better and the customer service is much better. A white man owning a business serving the community on 32 and Lisbon makes you check your self as a owner. A white man owing a business on water st in the third ward serving the community makes you do what? My point exactly. I don't like to make things racial, but I have had weird experiences at the market. This lady today really didn't pay attention to me or my children and from what i gathered just wanted to take my money and get me out of her face as quick as possible. If this was a matter of perception.... I would apologize and ask the people who were ahead of me if they felt slighted at all. Im sure that they wouldn't say anything but niceties, i would like to as well. The point is the baked goods are so over priced versus the quality. The customer service wasn't as good as it could have been. Would i give them another chance? Most likely no. I have found a place that serves better food and has a philosophy about their food and exchanges.

This is for the Wisconsin cookie. It's so good that I don't need to try anything else. I'm not sure of every ingredient, but I'm guessing crack is one of them because they are so addictive. I know there's oatmeal, dried craberries, and walnuts (and plenty of butter) as well as a few others. It's a large cookie, with some thickness. And it's baked just right; moist on the inside with a hint of crunch on the outside. I wish I could buy them in Chicago.

Amazing! I was told to check this place out for their homemade Oreos so I hade to get those and then wanted everything else. Home made Oreos and homemade Nutter Butters, peanut butter cookies with chocolate chunks, oatmeal scotchies were what I ended up getting. Everything was reasonably priced and the service was friendly. A definite must if you are going to Milwaukee's Public Market.

Thanks to C. Adams Bakery, Third Ward workers like me never have to worry about being caught with nothing to soothe their sweet tooth during the day. A bonanza of baked goods awaits. They have cheesecake, four layer cake, miniature custard pies and fruit tarts, cookies of all kinds, brownies, bars and other delicacies. Have I forgotten anything? I'm sure I have. I will be glad to return and research further :-) The first time I visited I had a miniature French Chocolate Silk Pie. It was $5 amd could have fed two, although I didn't share. The chocolate mousse folded into a graham cracker crust and topped with chocolate shavings was delicious. Later the cookies caught my eye and I sampled the Snickerdoodle and on a second visit the peanut butter cookie was the perfect thick chewy texture. I've had other treats there, including the seventh heaven bar and a couple of varieties of brownies. The hands-down favorite? The Oatmeal Scotchie. So much better here than I remember from my childhood. Yum!

By far one of the best bakeries in Milwaukee! I have numerous adjectives that I'd like to use to describe how my tastebuds feel after eating one of their many decadent desserts, however I'll contain myself and let you experience the utterly amazing delights this place has to offer. My Top 3 recommendations: 1. New York Cheesecake 2. Carrot Cake 3. Red Velvet Cake I'm dying to try their german chocolate cake as well as their Kentucky Butter cake. Do yourself a favor and forget that anyone is looking and go all willy nilly when they ask you what you'd like....its best to go with your gut and not your conscience at this place.

Super solid baked goods. Great cupcakes, absurdly rich and delicious cakes. On the pricey side but worth every penny.

They have an amazing assortment of goodies to choose from - all kinds of cookies, cupcakes & cakes. Sadly, we were pretty stuffed and after we were done drooling over the options we settled on taking 2 cookies to nibble on later. The oatmeal raisin & the cowboy cookie were darn good. The perfect amount of a bit of crunch on the outside and a chewy inside - and they are BIG cookies.

If I were rating C Adams Bakery solely on the appearance of their display case, this would be a five star "Stop the Presses" type of review. My daughter and I were visiting the Public Market for the first time and the fully stocked display case at C Adams made quite the initial impression. After fawning over the embarrassment of riches, my daughter elected to go with the red velvet cupcake and we ventured off to our next destination. Now for the unfortunate section of the review. My daughter generally does not discriminate when it comes to pastries, she loves them all, whether they come from a fine French patisserie or the neighborhood Piggly Wiggly. However, after a couple of bites from her cupcake, she uttered the words I never, ever thought I'd hear: "Dad, this cupcake really sucks." I stared in stunned silence, concerned that my daughter was abducted by aliens and replaced with a pod. Before racing to the authorities to report the impending alien invasion, I thought it wise to sample the cupcake myself. And you know what, the cupcake sucked. It was dry, dense and bland. The frosting had a weird, dense texture. When I bit into the cupcake, the topping actually fell off the cupcake in a single piece. Not cool, C Adams, not cool. So if you like just looking at your cupcakes, I highly recommend C Adams. Otherwise, go elsewhere for your sugar fix.

If you come here, opt for the pastries- the cinnamon twist was amazing- or a brioche. I stopped here a few months after returning from France and they were just as fresh and delicious as a local Parisian patisserie.

What's not to love about confectionery goodness? Occupying one spot in the Milwaukee Public Market, which delivers on bakery items like cakes and cookies and pies, but if you're not up for the whole deal I would strongly recommend the cookies bites. Yep, there a solid hit at $1.50 apiece and there's really only enough in each one for maybe three bites. One if you're feeling particularly sugar deprived. I had the lemon poppy cake and the carrot cake for dessert one day and both were really awesome. Looking to bring afternoon snacks to your office? Get a double dozen cookies or maybe a cake! I'll be waiting.

Ugh why are cake bites now $2 a piece? They used to be $1, then $1.50, and now $2. They're so little and I just couldn't bring myself to buy one yesterday. I'm going to try making my own cake bites.

I'm not a cookie person, but I saw that they were having a presidential cookie poll. Since President Obama is leading, I decided to purchase the democrat cookie to show my support. However, I was a little disappointed that the cookie that she gave me was broken into several pieces. I had to put it together like a zig saw puzzle, so I could take a picture. Anyway, the cookie was alright, and good with a cup of coffee.

The staff in this little slice of the Public Market are great. They all give a welcome feel and (not to make any comments about age, ladies, so please don't take offense) there is always a matronly feel about the shop. The cookies are ridiculously good, as are the muffins and cakes. In addition to the very appealing cheesecakes today,I saw some sort of Kentucky Butter Cake that I've never even heard of before (and I'm a pastry chef). It looked awesome, but didn't quite fit the bill for the cookie stack I was purchasing It's a welcome part of the PM experience, and nice to have as a dessert station opposite Kehr's. The pricing isn't at all over the top considering the location, so I hope the business stays steady and keeps them around.
