The freshness of the food is appreciated. There are whole vegetables and meats are roasted instead of fried. They changed their model, where they now use real dishes and silverware, they offer to walk you to your table and they bus the tables now, At the same time, the food seemed to drop in quality. The turkey was tough and dry and the gravy was not very good. The chocolate cake is still insanely good!

I love any restaurant where nothing is fried! There is no grease here, every side dish is steamed. The rotisserie chicken has an awesome tasting flavor; reminds me of Lawry's seasoning. It is more expensive than your average "fast food" establishment, but then again, so are organic foods and at least here you know nothing was sitting in a bunch of grease!

Really a 3.5. Boston Market is one of the few chains I don't feel terrible about eating at. I do like that one can get a reasonable facsimile of a Thanksgiving dinner any day here and sometimes you just need some of their Mac & cheese. But - there have been some changes. I think they're trying to go a bit upscale because they want to show you to a table and bring your food out now. Ok...I just wanted a quick bite, not a relationship. The staff, while super nice, seemed to feel as uncomfortable as I did. One other change is that things seem less salty than in the past so that's good news. Still, very awkward....

Incompetent and ignorant employees, they are unable to converse with customers. Were suppose to be open at 1030 and instead will be open and 1200. Check this, the reason was because they were having technical difficulties. No thank you, if you cannot communicate with people and use decency and common sen se it's time to shut the doors and close up permanently. With the help they have it won't be open much longer!

Sigh. I like Boston Market. The food is tasty, it's quick, and it's not fried. I'm not claiming it to be healthy, but it at least has a different stigma in my fast food brain. However. Every time I eat at this Boston Market, they screw something up. Wrong food, forgot my cornbread, etc. This time, the person on the other end of the drive-thru headset was barely intelligible over the speaker. Speak up, son. I ordered a Salad Bowl, and made it a combo with a side and soda. He asked if I wanted chicken on my salad....why on earth would anyone order a salad from Boston Market without the meat on it (of course, unless you are a vegetarian and brought here under duress). So, on the menu, the Market Bowls, Salad Bowls, and Carver sandwiches are all in the same section. At the bottom of the section it says "Make it a Combo - $2.49". I looked at my receipt that I had to ask for, and I was charged separately for my soda and side. I called and asked about my $0.70 and they said the combo only applied to the sandwiches. Why? Isn't the soda and side exactly the same whether I eat it with a sandwich or a salad? I don't mean to get all nickel and dime-y here, but the sign is misleading...and I realize its $0.70, but I don't like to be mislead intentionally. Back to the food. Generally it's hot, I likes me the cornbread a lot, and roti chicken is pretty much good anytime. Happy Thanksgiving, any day of the year!

THE PARTICLE BOARD OF MEATS...Complete Frankenfood! My one and only reason for visiting Boston Market is to satisfy my better half, who sings their praises as if their sodium-soaked tidbits of slimy meat are like manna from heaven. They describe their meat as "succulent", which to me is just oozing with disgusting juices. I may be the minority that likes my turkey dry. I guess that's just what I've come to expect that turkey should be. If you like pussy, slimy textures, then Mmmmm, Mmmmm, you're in for a treat with Boston Market. This Boston Market is like all of the others. So, i paste on a smile and partake in my semi-annual sacrificial meal at this horrible restaurant. First, let's talk about the meat. I order turkey, which is the most edible selection in the joint. It is pieced together sections of turkey, fitted together like a jigsaw puzzle. I don't know about you, but when I carve up my Thanksgiving Turkey every year, the slices don't have patterned veins of cartilage running through them like a stained-glass window. I call Boston Market's mystery meat "the particle board of meats", because that is essentially what one is eating when they choose this restaurant. I try my best to cut around the windowpanes of white gristle, but it is a ridiculous endeavor. With your meal, and I use the term loosely, you will get a choice of two side dishes generally, and a slab of cornbread. I'll just clue you in now to skip the green beans. Not even Boston Market regulars like the flavor of these undercooked, sinewy green legumes. The rest of the options are all things one would expect to find at an Old Country Buffet, served under the infamous sneeze guard. All are equally as flavorless, except of course where they are salted to death. I always clip the coupon from the circulars when I go here: $4 off on $20. But the soft drinks are where Boston Market nails you. They have ONE SIZE of soda: GIANT, and it's $2. So basically, you are getting two free sodas with your entrees. Whoopee woo! The soda on our last visit was flat, which really frosted my cookies because when we brought it up to the otherwise very friendly and attentive staff, they chose to do nothing about it other than say "thanks". Oh no, "thank you" Boston Market staff--for saving yourself from expending even a single calorie. The atmosphere is exactly like eating in a Blockbuster. The color scheme, cold formica, sparse furnishings, and overall cold feeling mirror the insides of the almost-defunct video chain. The only good things I can say about this place is that the staff have always been friendly, and genuinely seem happy to be working there. Apparently, they've partaken in the same Kool-aid that my other half has drunk. The other really nice thing about Boston Market is that, even though it is cold and stark, it is remarkably clean. That says something. Even thought I don't like their food, I know I will not get poisoned by it since their standards of cleanliness do sparkle. Look, let's call Boston Market what it is: a fast food restaurant masquerading as something healthier than it actually is. This is no different than most of the genetically modified food we find lining the aisles of our grocery stores, and it's no worse than any other fast food chain. I could give Boston Market more than one star, but I just really don't enjoy going here. And the fact that I have to keep my mouth shut and eat their lame product to make someone else happy makes me resent them just a little bit. So, one star--no more!
