This place is awesome! Breakfast was fantastic-make sure to try the sausage and eggs. Our waitress, Nancy, kept our coffees full and was delightful to talk to. Watch out for the portions though-it's so much food that my friend Mark looks like he might explode. Too much gravy and syrup...

A nice find but not a place I would travel a long ways to reach. That said if I was in the area I'd definitely return. Plenty to choose from, good coffee, good service. Country cooking with breakfast-lunch-dinner to choose from. Fries could be improved...maybe with crinkle cuts

Very cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. They have a really wide variety of breakfast dishes to choose from. I had the corned beef hash and it was good, even though I would have liked it better if it was a bit more cooked and crispy. Besides that, great genuine breakfast and good service. We'll visit again soon.

Friendly staff, pleasant environment. Right near the highway. Food took a long time to arrive. Salad was disappointing. In early September should be made with fresh tomatoes, etc. The rest of the food was ok. Good wild rice served.

A bit hard to find, but seek it out for breakfast. It's just off the Interstate for those heading into or coming out of the Twin Cities. I'd much rather support a family-type place like this than a Denny's. The ingredients are fresh and prepared with care. The service is friendly. I had a veggie omelet that was well executed. I also liked that the toast had more character than that made from packaged bread. My son said his pecan waffle was delicious, and my mom noted that the breakfast sausage was several notches in quality above what she usually is served at other places.

Great prices and friendly staff. Expect a wait on the weekends, as it is a popular local destination. Sunday mornings are my favorites: an interesting amalgam of elderly people and hungover college kids. Waitresses are great and work with dietary restrictions. Very accommodating. A great place for quick takeout or a long brunch catching up with old friends. Definitely the best breakfast place in Menomonie!

Went there for breakfast with my mother and I have nothing at all to complain about. The service was excellent. The food was fantastic and the portions were wonderfully huge for the price. They had a selection of pies that made me want to try a couple but I was stuffed from the scrambler I had, that also came with eggs, hash-browns, and huge fluffy pancakes. I will definitely eat there again when in the area and recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.

I am in love with this place for a great breakfast. If I have learned one thing in the world is if there are older people there drinking coffee for hours it is a great place to be. The skillets are some of the best in town, the waitstaff is is wonderful and it does make you feel like it is a locals only kind of place.

3/5 cause the burger was something frozen bought from walmart but the 3 other people enjoyed their food. Smells like old people....

I have to admit, I'm a breakfast junkie, I've lived in Menomonie for four months now, and I JUST discovered the Menomonie Family Restaurant. Housed in an old train depot at the end of a culdesac near Goodwill and Wal-Mart, this restaurant is going to be a staple of many breakfasts to come. This place seems to be *quite* popular with the older generation and families, and not so much w/ the UW-Stout students, which I'm very surprised about. Perhaps it is due to the distance from campus, but they are definitely missing out. The breakfasts are good, and there are a TON of choices, ranging from your typical fare to a bit more unique (ie: vegetarian eggs benedict w/ artichokes or vegetarian asparagus omelette). One thing that they seem to really like to do here is smother things w/ sauce - either hollandaise or sausage gravy - so don't say you weren't warned. They serve lunch and dinner as well, and I'm looking forward to trying those meals at one of my new favorite Menomonie-area restaurants.

Pretty standard family restaurant, there was not a huge wow factor here. It worked perfect with the three kids and prices were fair.

Driving thru town we found the MFR on Yelp. We had a family of 9 and were seated after a short wait on a Sunday morning. The food was excellent and the service was stellar. The prices were beyond reasonable. Try the Greek omelette. Unique breakfast fare.

I always love a bottomless cup of coffee. prices are cheap but the food wasn't that great. I might have just caught the cook on a bad day but the hash browns were a solid little brick

If you like breakfast/brunch, this is an excellent place. Large brunch menu and great food. I have had fantastic omelets, eggs benedict...etc. The only place I like to go eat brunch in Menomonie.

I was in Menomonie for a week, and ate here twice. The pork chop was AMAZING!, the omelette was better than ok. The beef with barley soup appetizer was also outstanding. Next time I'm in Menomonie, this will be my go-to place to eat.

Menomonie Family Restaurant is a community hub for those who are retired or on fixed incomes in Menomonie, and that includes some college kids. Every day senior citizens flock here for real down home cooking of your classic American favorites. From cheeseburgers, stir fry, melts and even BBQ ribs, Menomonie Family has something for everyone. I have no personal favorite items on the menu, but their daily homemade soups are fantastic! The owner himself concocts the soup up every morning. They also have a very large selection of pie that is scrumptious. The pie is made daily at a small bakery in rural Dunn County. Very, very tasty! I go here at least once every week or two. The service is fast and the food is just good ol' kitchen cooking with decent portions. A solid place to eat in Menomonie where non-chain restaurants are scarce. Give it a try, I bet you won't be disappointed!

A pretty decent place. The food isn't anything to write home about, but I've certainly had worse. The pie is outstanding, but brought in from another business. Friendly staff and good prices.
