Unbelievable menu with mouth watering flavor. Caribbean food that has just the right amount of spice. The jerk chicken is great as well as the rasta pasta. We had ceviche on our last trip and that wasn't as good as I have had in the past. This is our go to spot when we fly to MSP. Cute little town on the St Croix river.

Great/Awesome Service from Hostest, Mangment, Wait Staff, Bartenders and the Cook's. Small place, Awesome Food and Drinks, Starter Salad/Bread was De-lish. Not, for large groups or Kid's. Small patio seating out back w/no view. Added San Pedro to 1 of Our Favorite Spots

I was a bit surprised that I hadn't rated this place yet, but decided to do it today since we had an unusually odd off experience. Bad experience + 5 stars? Just keep reading. If you happened to be there for brunch today and had the slow & potentially bad service, just know that its a fluke. Something was off. Mismanaged, slow cook, bad ticket spacing... who knows. Really slow and some of our food was cold. We've been there lots of times and they are always busy & always knock it out of the park. Through all the troubles, Bartender Bobby worked his tail off and even gave me a free drink to help and compensate. So if you just happened to get a bad experience, which you can tell by the rest of the ratings is extremely odd, give them another chance, you won't be sorry. We've never had anything bad and we've worked our way around the menu a bit, sans desserts. The drinks, apps & meals have always been consistent 10 out of 10s. Well, I take that back. The banana mashed potatoes... um... no. Interesting thought, but no. Its not really a new flavor profile created, its kind of like having mashed potatoes and a banana in your mouth at the same time. It was like when my bro-in-law and I decided to make the "donut burger" in Vegas one year with Krispy Kreme's and McD's. Again, no new flavor profile, just a burger and a donut in your mouth at the same time. Except that was, kind of, sort of still delicious. (SECRET - don't hate me, but I love McDs). We had the chicken smoked nachos for the first time today after eyeing them up multiple times before, pretty darn good. We probably would have gotten the duck nachos, but I guess through the slight aggravation of waiting,etc... we forgot about them. Maybe next time. Hands down you have to get the Jamaican Hot Pepper & Garlic Shrimp, the Sea Scallops & Coconut Smoked Sweet Corn & the absolute MUST have Coconut Mango Red Snapper + the green curry. WOW! A pineapple margarita isn't gonna hurt either. Go there!

We have been traveling in Minnesota and Wisconsin for the past week, and have eaten our fill of (excellent) burgers, walleye, wild rice, and other American fare. This sounded perfect by its description of Caribbean and Mexican cuisine--something spicy, please!!!! I had the shrimp with scotch bonnet peppers and pina colada sauce. All I can say is "AWESOME!" I live in Chicago, and I have never experienced this taste sensation. Just what the doctor ordered. My husband ordered the conch and corn soup and scallops, and loved it. The gold margaritas were smooth, refreshing, just the right size (not too big, therefore not watered down.) Service was cheerful, efficient, informed. This is a very popular place, for good reason, with some outdoor seating. Should I ever get back to Hudson, WI, I will definitely go back.

Best restaurant in Hudson! Love their food and drinks, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I've ordered a number things off their wonderful menu, and my latest fav is their wood-fired pizza!

All the food is awesome here, but they serve the BEST BREAKFAST EVER. Make sure you head here on a Saturday or a Sunday. It's worth the trip and the possible wait.

Overall experience today was great! Quick, friendly service, and the food tasted great! Started our meal with a golden margarita. Margarita was strong and satisfied the taste buds! Mixed well and a good sized glass too. Price was comparable to other restaurants. Ordered the sea scallops with roasted coconut cream corn which I have to say was the highlight of the meal. 4 large, thick scallops cooked to perfection on a bed of the best cream corn you can imagine. This is by far the best appetizer I've had in a while. Pretty pricey, but scallops aren't cheap! Side note, you have to like olive oil to like this appetizer. For my meal, I had the shrimp St. Croix. Lots of large shrimp, and just the right blend of sugar and spice. Roasted vegetables inside the dish were roasted to perfection! Every time I go I have to get a side of the banana mashed potatoes. This time was no different. Highly recommend for anyone that doesn't care for tradition mashed potatoes. This puts a tasty twist on a ordinary side. Server "63" was friendly, fast and hard working. Even with the amount of work she had, refills were fast, service excellent and check backs were frequent but not annoying. If I had anything bad I could say I would have given it 4 stars but this meal was about as good as it could get! Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants a twist on an ordinary dinner. Will definitely be coming back!

The food is descent and the outdoor seating is super fun. It's like grandma's backyard except all the neighbors are there too. The wood fired pizza was good but I would say it has nothing on Punch pizza. The ones says spicy, they are not. Next time i would ask for no lemon aioli on my pizza. It adds the fatty mouth feel but not much a flavor. The pazole soup was okay but I was hoping for more meaty taste rather than the hominy rich flavor. The jerk chicken is very good. That's all I could eat anyway.

Great Bloody Mary's. The patio is great for happy hour. The location is small so go early or expect a wait for brunch.

I had the Cuban meatloaf.... And it was amazing!!!! It will be something I crave weekly. Plus the gold margarita I had didn't hurt either. I will be putting this on my restaurant rotation.

Fast service and great food! We sat on the patio and were chewed up by mosquitos so dont forget your bug spray. The mahi filet was great as were the shrimp street tacos. We would visit again but bring bug spray!

This past January, my boyfriend and a couple of our good friends went to Belize and Guatemala. Needless to say, it was FABULOUS. And we mastered a good balance of keeping active and constantly shoveling food into our faces. Pretty sure we ate roadkill once and that was great too. But our most memorable gastric pleasures were introduced to us in San Pedro, on a Belizean Caye. Literally conch for days. It is tastes like a scallop and a squid made sweet sweet tentacley / shellfish-y love to each other. So delicious and so kinky. We also had Belizean ceviche at every possible moment. So when I heard about San Pedro cafe, and saw that they have both conch and ceviche on the menu, my friend (who was one vaca with us) and I made the trip out to Hudson without question. Service was perfect and friendly, and my blueberry-lemon mojito was sexy. We immediately ordered ceviche, and it wasssss... bad. Usually I'd be like, "hmm, well this is not good" but no, I found it undoubtedly sh*tty. The liquid in it, which should pack a spicy citrus-y punch, was very dull. And the shrimp and "lobster" had the texture and flavor of rubber. I didn't have more than one bite of it, which is saying something for me (see above: thought roadkill was great). Onto the conch chowder... the conch was unrecognizable. I think it was the tiny flecks of what felt like overcooked chicken and tasted like nothing and sadness. Well at least there was sausage in the chowder. We also had the pulled pork "Belizean street tacos" which were ok, but did not remind me of the any of the 2,300 street tacos I tried in Belize. The stewed beans were the best part of the dish. Redemption: the scallops. Generous-sized scallops that were sweet and not bitter, with a salty crust, served on sweet corn. THANK YOU FOR THAT. And again, the service and cocktail really helped this place with the starrage. I also liked the ambiance and location, but the food was overall a boner-killer.

Came for brunch on a Sunday, arriving about 1:30pm which was perfect timing. I ordered the Hammock Breakfast which was wonderful and had just the right amount of heat. My husband had the Caribbean Eggs Benedict which included lobster cakes and they were great, too. Recommended!

Good food and drinks here. The ribs are great with the banana mashed potatoes. The salad was fresh and tasty too.The back patio is good when the weather is nice. I will be back again! Good service

My favorite restaurant in Hudson! Besides the good memories that have been created here, the food is unique and very tasty! Love the atmosphere and have always gotten good, or at the very least decent, service here. Favorite is the wood fired pizzas with goats cheese on top! Great mojitos with a sugar rock candy garnish! Yum!

I came here one time with some friends, ordered an appetizer (crab cake). It took 50 minutes for me to get my crab cake..... when I received it, it was burnt (black, fried, and hard).

Great spot for spicy pasta and seafood! They're well known for their rasta pasta and it's amazing, but not for the faint at heart! It's HOT! But so, so tasty with the carribean jerk spices. Pair that with one of their delicious margaritas and you're in business!

We ended up here after getting rude service at another local restaurant. We looked for patio seating and from the street, this one looked pathetic. As we turned the alley corner, we saw a colorful sign pointing to the restaurant and once we entered, it was an "ahhhhhh..." Super cute patio that makes you feel as though you are anywhere but Wisconsin! We had the pork tacos...so yummy, smokey and tenderly roasted served with lightly seasoned beans and rice...yum. We also had one of the wood-fired pizzas, I believe called St. Lucia. Really tasty with our awesome margarita. Will definitely return since our server was also very sweet and patient. Loved it!

Have only been for breakfast but I've absolutely LOVED it every time I went. The prices are reasonable, service is great, and food is without error. The boyf likes more routine breakfast fare and I like to try something different. We both loved our plates on the most recent visit. Something about that veggie frittata - I tell you! Plus, the toast comes with this lovely orangey jam. I don't even like oranges, people, and I like this jam. My dad keeps forcing me to go to the Dock Cafe every time he's in town and sometimes I just want to shake him and ask, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR TASTE BUDS, OLD MAN?!

Stopped in for a couple of drinks and dinner with a close friend. Enjoyed a couple dirty martinis - perfectly prepared and chilled! The dinner was fantastic. My other half enjoyed the wood roasted chicken wrap that is tossed with mango, red onion, celery & apricot chutney mayo, rolled with field greens for 10.95 - very tasty and a great value. I had the Jerk spiced chicken simmered in a spicy red chile cream sauce with penne pasta and garnished with asiago cheese (a bit too much cheese) and wood roasted vegetables for 13.95 also a great value. Though served in a smallish bowl, a bit difficult to navigate, so our very sweet and helpful waitress eagerly offered a plate - making my experience much nicer and easier to enjoy my pasta. The overall dining experience was very enjoyable, well timed, and with a great waitress (I wish I knew her name...she was very friendly and helpful).

I happen on to this restaurant by accident but I am glad that I did. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the bartender and the wait staff. Since I was alone, I sat at the bar. I asked the bartender for the menu. I ordered the conch chowder soup and the Cuban chicken sandwich. The soup came out quickly. It was very good. You should try the soup when you visit this place. The chicken sandwich took a while but the bartender was able to help pass the time by chit chatting. I found out that she used to live in Milwaukee but now she is here and she using Sprint phone. When the chicken sandwich came, I was concerned that the chicken would be dry due to it's thickness. What a surprise! The chicken was cooked perfectly and moist !! It was delicious . I loved this Chicken sandwich. I will most certainly visit this restaurant again when I am in Hudson, Wi.

The food was excellent, that's about the only thing giving this place 3 stars instead of 1 or 0 (if 0 was an option). The service was atrocious. I stopped in and it appeared all the staff was there, but they paid almost 0 attention to my wife and I, and it took over 20 minutes for our appetizers to be brought out. And then another 15+ minutes for the check.

After our first visit to San Pedro's Café, we were impressed, but I don't post reviews based on a single visit. Last night my wife and I took advantage of the tropical temperatures and dined at San Pedro's. We asked to be seated on the deck, had a cocktail and ordered dinner. I made sure to douse my red snapper with ample grapefruit habanero hot sauce. The combination of the food, their beautiful deck and the weather made for a nice Caribbean escape, less the airfare.

This place deserves 6 stars if I could give them out. wow what can I say the food is incredible. We sat overlooking the Chef as he made our dinner_ring side to the kitchen. It's the type of place you go too and tell everybody for days after wards.

Never had a bad meal here! Service is excellent and their chefs...awesome. My mouth waters for their banana mashed potatoes.

San Pedro makes me swoon. Literally. From the moment you walk in the door, you get the laid back Caribbean vibe from the decor, exotic fish tank and open kitchen. The food is fantastic - go for the shrimp cerviche, street tacos or any of their salads. Follow it up with the Chocolate Habanero Cake, that little bit of pepper gives it a bite. The only thing that could make it better would be if it were actually on the river, but the Caribbean charm pretty much makes up for that.

First time vistor and will certainly go back! The chicken nacho's were fabu as well as the pork stew (you better dig spicy foods). Kasi the server was bubbly and very efficient! So happy that they used eco-friendly take home containers for my leftovers. This Arden Hills FOODIE digs it!

The atmosphere was casual. The servers were very friendly and helpful. The drinks were amazing. I recommend trying their mai tai's and especially their watermelon mojitos and it comes with a a sugar/hard rock candy which adds a nice to touch to it. You can dip it with your drink. There was 5 of us at the restaurant and we shared one appetizer: The duck nachos and it was huge! For my entree I ordered the street tacos and it was fulfilling. My girlfriend had the shrimp linguine which was delicious a little spicy. Dessert was the chocolate haberno cake - highly recommend this

Excellent service - our server was knowledgable about both the wines and food. Crab cakes were good (not great) and were served with a sweet salsa and coconut sauce - nice if your tastes go that way. Salads were excellent. I would go back and try other items any day

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to travel to Hudson, a cute town on the Wisconsin-side of the St. Croix. Hudson is like a mini version of Stillwater; it's less crowded but has the same historic town charm on a smaller scale. While Hudson may be considered a smaller town, it has a lot of great restaurants to offer, including San Pedro Café. San Pedro's is a Caribbean-themed restaurant and bar serving up Island cuisine cooked in a wood-fired oven. The restaurant features many fresh seafood dishes and has a great offering of wood-fired specialty pizzas. They also have a great offering of Island-themed cocktails including a Pineapple Mojito and Blood Orange Sangria. The menu has weekly feature items, and on our trip to the restaurant, they were featuring Coconut-Crusted Wahoo with a banana-mustard aioli served with red beans and rice and wood roasted vegetables. All of the fish served at San Pedro's is fresh and never frozen. The dinner menu at San Pedro Café has a variety of salads, sandwiches, pastas, and specialty dishes including Jerk Rubbed Chicken. After perusing the menu, I couldn't get passed the San Pedro Street Tacos. The tacos are served in soft, white corn tortillas and can be filled with wood roasted chicken, hand pulled pork or red snapper. I was leaning toward the red snapper, but our helpful waitress informed me that the red snapper is not one of their better fish and recommended the chicken. The dish comes with four tacos, which is a pretty big portion; I could only finish two. The seasoning on the chicken was excellent, with just a slight kick. Unfortunately, the chicken was a little dry, especially when combined with the corn tortillas. The tacos came with sides of pico de gallo, green chilies, red beans and rice. On my trip to San Pedro Café, I also tried the Jamaican Pizza, which was topped with wood roast chicken, tomato pomodoro sauce, jerk-spiced caramelized onions, rosemary and goat cheese. This pizza was excellent. I don't like onions, but the caramelized onions on this pizza were the star of the dish. They were sweet and soft, with a great kick from the jerk seasoning. I would definitely recommend ordering this pizza as an appetizer for your table or as your main entrée. When you go to San Pedro Café, make sure to order dessert. They make everything in-house so you know it will be fresh. The menu includes traditional island desserts like Key Lime Pie and Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, and more exotic dishes like Banana Bread Pudding and Chocolate Habanero Cake. We were feeling adventurous and wanted to try one of San Pedro's specialties, so we ordered the Chocolate Habanero Cake. The dense chocolate cake is infused with spicy habanero pepper and served with chocolate sauce and fresh whipped cream. When the cake first hits your tongue it tastes like any other rich, flourless chocolate cake. But wait a few seconds and you feel your tongue start to warm up as the spices hit your mouth. This cake is definitely unique, and not for those who don't want to try something different or for people who don't like spicy food. I thought the cake was excellent, and unlike any other dessert I have tried. I really liked how the creamy chocolate cake sat on top of a slightly crunchy Oreo cookie crust. When your mouth heats up, just take a small bit of the whipped cream to cool it down again. If find yourself in Hudson, I would definitely recommend stopping by San Pedro Café for one of their wood-fired pizzas and a homemade dessert. Go during the summer so you can enjoy their rustic and cozy backyard patio.

On my way from River Falls I took a detour into downtown Hudson for brunch and found myself here. The name didin't draw me in, but the cute storefront did. I took a peek at the menu and knew right away it was for me. I'm not a french toast kinda gal, but thick sliced ciabatta bread dipped in vanilla egg batter and pan fried and served with REAL maple syrup, was too much to resist. My men had the Hammock Breakfast with all kinds of stuff rolled into a big tortilla, served with red beans and rice. We all shared and found everything quite fresh and delectable. My only complaint, restaurants, this one included, that refuse to put a non pork side item on the breakfast menu. Really?! At least add a corned beef/roast beef hash or chicken sausage to your offerings. There are more non-pork eaters out there than you think!

The Puerto Rican scallops were tasty but I really hoped that with its location we'd get a view of the river, but they're on the wrong side of the street. The patio was nice but felt a little cramped. Service was ok but slightly slow.

Love this place. A favorite of mine since the first day nine years ago when I had the Rasta Pasta and Chocolate Habanero Torte. I haven't had a bad meal yet. I often just stop in for pick-up when it gets busy, usually on the weekends especially in the summer.

Stopped in here for some desert on the way home from Blake's which is right across the street. Got 2. English Toffee Chocolate cake and the Habanero flourless Chocolate Cake. Both very good and tasty deserts but the Habanero cake took the, no pun intended, cake. ;) It was taste, heavy, but tasty and has this curious heat the comes on just as you swallow the moist chocolate cake. Very cool. Like I said, I brought the cakes home. Went up stairs for a bit and my kids (9 and 3) decided to dig into the cakes, sneaking them, without asking. All I could thing was, muh huh huh huh huh! That'll teach ya! As the 9 and 3 year old were pounding down the Habanero Cake, literally, pounding it down on bit 4 or 5, the heat started coming on from the Habanero. LOL! Don't worry, it's not SUPER HOT or HOT at all really, just a little heat that left them looking at each other confused about what they just ate. Just wish I had it on video!

The food is awesome in this place. The food was great. Just about everything i have had there is good. The fish always has great flavors and so does the meat. The barbacoa is spicy and not as good as barbacoa found in florida or in central america but it was still good. The service was fast and fun and the drink selection is very good. I would recommend reservations because the place gets full fast. The wait time is almost always 35 to 45 min wait on fridays.. You can sit at the bar.. there are 4 seats side by side and request to be moved to table once one opens. I been to this place many times and i will continue to go... The outside patio seating is very nice in the summer and fall. It has a beach feel to it.

    (5)
  • Scott K.

The re-model is nice, one of my biggest complaints about the place used to be the seating, high wooden chairs are not the greatest after a half hour or so. The food for the most part is very good, the patio can be nice in the summer.

Great drinks, food and service! one a few places I know to take kids and not feel like you are in a kid place. Outside sitting is very relaxing.

I love this place! Went there for the first time the other night and requested a table out on the patio. They said it would take 10 minutes and it ended up taking much longer (we were the only ones waiting for a table out there but people just weren't leaving). The staff kept apologizing even though it was beyond their control, and eventually gave us free chips and salsa! We were happy sitting at the bar sipping drinks while we waited. And it was SO worth the wait. The outdoor patio was cozy, intimate, and beautifully lit. It is actually two levels and it has beautiful lighting and plants, flowers, and trees all around. Barely noticed the other diners. Food was tremendous too. I tried almost all the dishes at our table and they were amazing. The tortilla chips got the only complaint (tasted like cardboard and needed salt).

We were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere. We were kind of forced to sit at a round table in front. the other tables were smaller and high or higher. The booths are really cute and are meant to slide into. We however don't slide into anything. We got lucky because we were under a nice breeze on a very hot day. Caribbean themed food translates as spicy most of the time. The linguine and shrimp were very spicy and I'm glad I didn't get it. Our waiter Phillip was very helpful to steer me away from some things. I settled on the red snapper sandwich and hit pay dirt. What a flavor with a homemade tarter already on it. I am a chowder hound, so I tried the conch corn chowder. Once again spicy also with chorizio. We didn't ask for one refill of pop. This guy was great. He told us the desserts were made in house. Basil is a key lime pie fanatic. I'm not big on tart flavors. This piece was so huge and dense it looked like a cheesecake. Loaded with whipped cream that I was able to share on a delicious blueberry maple creme brulee. I love the contrast in menus between here and Agave across the street. A definite mood palate place.

San Pedro is a must-eat at place. Just go. Drive to Hudson and eat there as soon as you can. Smoked duck nachos = unique and delish, my sea scallops were cooked perfectly, banana mashed potatoes may sound weird but definitely don't taste weird. My husband had the Beef Barbacoa which has a spicy flavor but isn't hot hot. Both entrees came with a side of veggies. Now I know you never take more than one bite of the standard steamed nasty smooshy veggies that come as an unwanted side on so many plates, however, these are NOT those veggies. These are firm, fresh, never frozen, cooked just right, these are the vegetables that you've always wished vegetables tasted like. Portions are big. A salad came with both our meals, I took two bites, it was a nice salad, the lettuce was fresh and not crappy iceberg bs, but I wasn't about to waste any space in my stomach with a salad after I saw the dessert menu. Oh the desserts! I wanted to try everything. We limited ourselves to the chocolate habanero torte (ECSTASY IN MY MOUTH), while you're chewing it is a rich wonderful orgasm of chocolate, then as you're swallowing it leaves just a hint of heat, an interesting sensation. My 17mo baby ate many mouthfuls, so you know it isn't too hot. We also tried the creme brulee, the flavor of which changes with the seasons. Ours was rosemary and I think maybe raspberry? To be honest I was anticipating the torte so strongly I didn't hear the waitress describing the brulee clearly. It was very tasty, very unique mix, we liked it, but really, that torte took the cake. =) We went for lunch and we spent maybe 90 minutes eating. I did see they have an 'express lunch' menu that is supposed to get you back to work w/in an hour. I think we both really enjoyed spending some time in the restaurant, savoring the food. Our waitress was really really really good. Very friendly, kept the drinks full, stopped by often. This is my new favorite restaurant. I cannot wait to return again and again to try everything on the menu. I should probably start riding my bike over from St Paul to counteract what is sure to be a love affair with their dessert menu!

Decent I guess! Classic ram you face with ship mexican food and get ham-boned! Fun for like a 25 or 35 or 45 year old birthday with the right group - rambunctious.

  • Nick C.

The service sucked on a moderately busy summer day. The food was decent, but over-priced. Our waitress screwed up our order for artichoke dip by giving us a crab cake (which we asked about but didn't order) then she ate it in view of our table. She was one of those waitresses that thinks she has a really good memory and doesn't have to write down an order. Not a good experience and probably won't go back because of it.

A cool Caribbean menu try the Yucatan stew a pulled pork in a spicy gravy there house salad is great as are the brick wood. Fire pizzas an outstanding side if your lucky to be here when the make it is the habanero mashed potatoes but they only do that 1 weekend a month ,but the banana mashed potatoes are good too some great Margarita's and other drinks and save room for dessert too a great selection of desserts

Generally only visit for breakfast...and would recommend. Cinnamon rolls are kind of a must-have (at least for my kids). Our family of 5 can share two of them. Otherwise, I'd go for the Island omelet or the French toast. Portion sizes are more than sufficient.

We tried this out a few months ago, when we were looking for a place to eat after a visit to Wisconsin. We sat on the patio, ordered a pizza, and asked for extra goat cheese, which they did for free!! The desserts looked really good, and I would love to go back sometime soon. Not sure what the real theme is-Mexican, tropical, a wine bar? but I didn't really care, because the food, prices, and service were great.

I'm a local and I love going here. The service is always fast and friendly. I always order the Chicken Chili Penne. It has some heat to it, but it's so tasty! Their deserts are always fantastic especially the Chocolate Habanero Cake. It's a small and very popular restaurant, so try to avoid the dinner rush and go early or very late.

So I can't say that I felt like I entered some exotic Caribbean restaurant when I walked in, but at least they tried. The place does have lighter, pastel colors which are nice in the middle of winter so I probably shouldn't be quite so harsh. The second time my wife and I went we sat out back on the patio and really liked the cozy atmosphere out there. Both times I've been there it's been packed and pretty loud, so sitting outside was very nice. The vibe is definitely pretty lively and fun. I can only guess that the reason that the place has been packed both times I've been is because the food is really good. It's fresh, inventive and tasty. The second time I was there I order a walleye dish and it was right on. My wife ordered the coconut scallop pasta and she loved it (she's a discerning eater). It's a pretty heavy dish so don't feel like you need an app if you're going to order this. We had to wait at the bar the second time we went and the bartender was very friendly and quick to get us our drinks. Of course we had to get a margarita (we were "on island time mon" after all) and they were very good. I love a good margarita but I can't stand the sweet, syrupy ones that make me want to get a beer after a few sips. The was not the case here. San Pedro is another very good main street Hudson restaurant that shouldn't be passed up if you want to pretend your somewhere in the Caribbean for a few hours.

well..its true...i am writing a review for dinner i had over the border in hudson. le sigh. anyways, this place is actually quite good and adorable! The menu is extensive, offering a variety of dishes from pasta to red meat to fish and pizzas - all with a Caribbean flair! The service was prompt and friendly and the decor was what i like to call "kitschy cute". We weren't too hungry so ended up splitting the guacamole/salsa appetizer and then the jerk rubbed chicken. The guac was delicious - chunks of red onion and seasoned with the right amount of S and P. (side note: it IS readily possible to screw up guacamole. trust me.) The salsa was great too, fresh, chunky and just a hint of lemon -- which is how i like it! the chicken was really quite good! The spicy skin was crispy and melty and the meat was tender, juicy and well seasoned. The platter came with beans, rice AND vegetables...more than enough to share! We didn't try any but I must admit...the dessert menu and bakery display looked AMAZING! Tortes, pies, cookies, etc....yummmm

Early one Sunday morning I was traveling east on 94 and heading into Wisconsin. Hungry and not sure where to stop its no surprise Yelp came to my rescue. Browsing through local establishments it quickly became clear that San Pedro Cafe was the locals favorite. The Caribbean flare and decor gives this place special charm. Mid morning on a Sunday this place was already busy but we easily got seated on a small table for two. Staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Brunch options are unique and oh so flavorful! My "create your own omelet" was delicious. My girlfriend opted for the wood fired breakfast pizza. Tasty with a kick! I can't wait to come back to this little local gem. Next time I'm brunching it I am going to make time for one of their luscious tropical drinks. Either that tropical mimosa or that breakfast mojito.

Absolutely delicious food! The first food I've had since moving here that actually had a bit of spice and heat to it. Each bite provided a flavor-packed kick. Their drinks were imaginative and paired with the food perfectly. Service was very nice, though a touch on the slow side. This place will definitely be a go-to lunch or dinner spot for us whenever we head across the river to Hudson!

My wife and I "discovered" this place years and years ago. Our favorite place throughout the years. Over time they have managed change fairly well, with the exception of the two favorite dishes one of us would always get. One was a seared sea scallop pasta with a delicious coconut sauce...I have heard we should try ordering this now off menu. The other favorite WAS the smoked duck nachos, we would get this EVERY time we went there. They for some reason changed, not yet explained at least to us, the smoked duck part of the nachos. We both thought the new duck is not good at all and ruins the dish. Despite this the place is still very worth trying...it's the type of restaurant where you might find the best you've had of whatever you get. It doesn't seem as consistent as it used to be and in our mind may be sliding away from our expectations, but we will give it another go or two before we decide we need a new "go-to" restaurant. I wish our minds weren't at this stage!

Stopped in with mah wife and we both tried the "Street tacos" in shrimp and pork if I'm recalling correctly. I recall this very clearly, these are about as street as a cul-de-sac in Pleasantville. If you're hoping for proteins that have been simmering all day in a vat of juicy and spicy goodness you my friend should keep on westward to St. Paul. The place is very nicely decorated with vibrant colors and artwork and had a decent bar for watching a game or something but the food was not worth it. I also tried the jalapeño margarita which was disappointingly sweet. Not a terrible place by any means but more comparable to an American Mexican joint rather than a good old family owned place where they've actually been on the streets of Mexico.

WOW! The food, drinks, service and decor are ALL five stars! Tried this place for lunch and was blown away by how good everything tasted. I had a bowl of seafood chowder. It was piping hot and full of yummy fresh shrimp, scallops and chunks of salmon in a spicy, delicious broth. Simply divine! The caribbean inspired cocktails; Mojitos are the best I have ever experienced anywhere. Can't say enough good things about this gem. I want to go back for lunch again, tomorrow!

This is one of my favorite places to go and usually where I go for my birthday! I have yet to have something bad. Some favorites are the steak, jerk chicken and the lettuce wraps. I want to eat the lemon habanero aioli on EVERYTHING. The drinks are awesome too. The chocolate cake is really good as well.

My wife wanted to come here for our anniversary. I tried to make reservations only to be told they don't take reservations. However, they do subscribe to this app called...hell I don't know the name because I deleted it. Anyway, this magical app is updated regularly to inform would-be guests of their seating. Upon leaving the house I looked at the app and to my glee it said, "no waiting! Come on in!" Woo hoo! We drove to San Pedro 10 minutes away only to find a line out the door. When I inquired within, the girl said there's been a 40 minute wait for some time. I showed her the app on my phone that was supposed to notify me of their seating and she didn't realize she hadn't updated the seating app. Oops. This is the second time we've been screwed over at this place. Never again. Jaggoffs!

Lunch was very good. It has fun and interesting decor. The food was fresh and very yummy. Our waitress was great, she knew the menu and really was very friendly. She made some wonderful suggestions on what to have. This is a great place to have a relaxing lunch or supper.

Had the vanilla salmon - it was awesome. The mojitos - terrific ! But the star of the meal had to be the lobster mashed potatoes. Let's not forget the welcoming staff working all night in close quarters on a hot, busy night and they were still smiling at the end of the evening. We sat on the patio which was much cooler and quieter than inside. We will definitely be back.

THE BEST RESTAURANT IN HUDSON-or rather-the entire st croix!! Everything and everyone in this place is amazing. Cocktails amaze. Food best. Atmosphere rocks. Smoked chix nachos will leave a void in your life no other nachos can ever fill. Street tacos are divine. And if you aren't into Caribbean food there's a million other options including great lettuce wraps (g-free/dairy free) and wood-fired pizzas. It doesn't get any better than San Pedro's. Seriously.

This is my favorite restaurant ever! Their biggest downside is that it's small and when it's full...it is noisy. Hubby and I have never minded though. I cannot say enough. There chicken nachos are a must have. They are not really like a traditional nacho you get at other restaurants, but they have crispy chips, real cheese, chicken, guacamole, a peppery pico and my absolute favorite, the lemon aioli! I always get a side of it for dipping too, but it is spicy for the weak of heart :). It is a big portion, so hubby and I often get filled up on it. I'm not a big salad girl, but their mango vinaigrette dressing is so good that I crave it. I usually get that on romaine lettuce since I'm a boring salad girl. I would have never tried their conch soup if a friend hadn't had it, but it is fantastic too. I have had it several times now. I have had all their pastas, and they are good! They all have the same base, so the sauce is similar. Rasta Pasta is spicy and bold, the Shrimp St. Croix has a great limey taste. They have a red sauce one too that is good. I haven't had the meatloaf, but I've been there when people at my table have and it was a hit. I have found most of their food to be spicy except the pizza, so if you are a person with a mild tongue then this might not be the place for you. Oh! I forgot to mention their Pedros Punch! It is a fruity drink, but anything with rum and pineapple juice is wonderful to me! It's my favorite drink...I think it has surpassed the margarita. Pizza! Great wood fired pizzas too, but I love all their other food so much that I usually only have this when I steal a piece from someone at my table. Dessert: they have a Habanero Chocolate cake that is awesome! All my girlfriends love it. My husband hates it :). It is...warmed, not really cakey, but more like something between a cake and a custard, but I don't like custard and this is good! It has a hint of spice to it. It is served with whipped cream (wish they had ice cream). My mother and aunt die for the Chocolate Toffee Cake. It's rich and dense with a touch of crunch from the toffee on the fuggy frosting. I'm a chocolate girl, so I'm not into anything that doesn't have it which means.. I'm not familiar with their other desserts. -side note: also want to mention for those who like to share...they charge $3 to split your meal and the $3 gets you your own side salad with a piece of toasty ciabatta bread. I have been going to San Pedros for 13 years with husband and friends and we recently moved out of state. I have not found anything close to it here and miss it greatly. It is at the top of my list of things to do when I go back home. Hudson has great restaurants and a great downtown feel.

Definitely glad we stopped in for a little "getaway" which is exactly what it feels like when you step into this Caribbean themed eatery. The service was friendly and helpful, and very prompt. We sat at the bar. I enjoyed a blood orange jalapeño margarita and it was DEELISH!!! I chose the nights special which was the Enchiladas Del Mar. This was so good I'll be very disappointed it's not on the regular menu. It was fresh corn tortillas filled with very fresh and perfectly cooked lobster, tiger shrimp, and sea scallops, spinach, roasted red peppers and cheese. It was all topped with a delectable, rich coconut lobster cream sauce. OMG this was so good I couldn't get enough. I highly recommend San Pedro cafe for anyone traveling to the Hudson area.

I went here once for breakfast and once for dinner. Both time, the items on the menu sounded better than they tasted. They weren't bad, but they also weren't good enough to keep me coming back. Also, the space is SO small! You really don't have any privacy!

Great place. Food is amazing , service is top notch. A table can be hard to come by in this small venue but definitely worth the wait. The food can vary but is always terrific. Somewhat family friendly if dining before 8ish. A real gem East of the river!

My favorite restaurant in the area! Unique flavored you won't find anywhere else, feels like a tropical getaway. A few menu favorites: The mojitos are great, served with rock candy as a stir stick. Crab cakes are delicious. Shrimp st croix linguine is great, has some kick to it. Any way they prepare scallops always tastes delicious. For pizzas, my favorite is the puerco diablo- pulled pork on top! Also love the salads and bread served with the entrees. The desserts are also too notch. Love the chocolate habenero torte and the chocolate toffee cake- which is a huge portion, can be easily shared. If going for lunch, the pork and pepper wrap is a great choice. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, just keep in mind many of the dishes have kick to them. The wait staff is great at pointing out which dishes are spicier if that's not your thing.

We always have a great meal when we come here - great food, tasty cocktails, fun ambiance. However, last time we visited, our experience wasn't what it normally is. My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We sat outside and had the San Pedro ceviche, which was just so-so. It was a bit lackluster in the seasoning department - it could have used more lime and maybe just a bit more spice. While we were waiting for our entrees to arrive, the server delivered our cocktails. I ordered a mojito, which fell off of our server's tray and into my husband's lap. His left pant leg was soaked, as was the tail of his untucked silk hirt. The server felt awful and provided napkins to soak up the wetness and club soda for the shirt. So, my husband had to spend the remainder of our meal in mojito-soaked clothes, which was somewhat unpleasant, but since it was a nice evening, he tolerated it. Even though the server apologized, we never heard anything else about the incident - no manager stopped by to check in; no part of our meal was compensated; and no offer was made to cover the cost of the dry cleaning of his shirt. We left feeling somewhat disappointed about the whole evening. Not sure if we'll be back anytime soon - especially to celebrate any sort of special occasion.

San Pedro Café makes you feel like you are smack dab in the middle of the Caribbean. It's warm & cozy and you can watch the chefs work their magic with the open kitchen and grill. I recently went for brunch and highly recommend getting a bloody mary or any of the mojitos. Anything from the menu is guaranteed to be fresh and full of flavor. Check out Heahter K.'s recommendations below - agree with them all!

I thought the menu would be a little different than what I expected, but we tried it anyway. Ordered the chips and salsa to start out. While the chips were good and the salsa ok; it was not worth it for $10.00. Chips were not made there. We got to choose from 4 or 5 salsas; ended up choosing the pico de gallo which was good and the pineapple roasted salsa which was ok. Neither of them blew us away. I ordered the "Aruba" wood fired thin crust pizza. It had tiny little tiger shrimp and lobster, spicy peppers and alfredo. I was told it was spicy, but I think it meant more of a WI spicy. J ordered the Jerk Rubbed Chicken. While the chicken was good in size, we both thought it would be a little more flavorful. The wood fired vegetables that came with it looked good. The rice I tried, and didn't care for. It had somewhat of a nutmeg taste to it, and I usually love all rices. It also came with a small salad and some bread to start out with. Our server was friendly and outgoing. The restaurant is cute and honestly, not something I would expect to see in Hudson, WI. J said it reminded him a lot of restaurants in Seattle. The interior was quaint and welcoming with the booths and two toppers spread out. Would we return? Perhaps if in the area, but probably wouldn't make a special trip as nothing we tried really stood out that much.

The vibe inside is a little busy and full of energy. It is a menu filled with spice and fish and mostly Caribbean inspired dishes. I am not a fan of spice so I had a Cesar salad with chicken added and the chicken was really deliciously prepared. I believe wood fired. My side of beans and rice were decent. I sat at the bar and they take pride in many various Margarita and mojito type drinks with muddled fruits and mint. Not really my kind of place but still stellar establishment.

My family and I went here on a Friday night a little after 7pm for dinner and drinks. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. Which was fine because we were able to find a spot at the bar area to have a pre-dinner cocktail. When our table was ready we were seated right next to the kitchen area, which was super loud (not a place for someone that is hard of hearing). At times, we felt we should have yelled "OPA" due to the sound of crashing dishes to our left. However, our server was awesome, she had great knowledge of the menu and provided great suggestions. I ended up getting the lettuce wraps - Amazing! Overall my family was very satisfied with the food and will be returning.

Great place! Tasty food, nice atmosphere, and delicious drinks! If you like spicy food\drinks and something out of the ordinary, this will be your new favorite place to eat. For those non-spicy lovers, there are non-spicy food options, as well. I rated this restaurant 4 out of 5 because I was initially overcharged but the problem was corrected immediately after I informed my server of the problem. Additionally, service was a little slow. Also, be ready to walk because parking can be hard to find. I look forward to dinning here again.

I can not say enough good things about my experience at San Pedro Cafe! The location is narrow, and was full- every table- when we went the evening of 3/22/14. We sat at the "pasta bar" that overlooked the small kitchen and well-orchestrated kitchen staff. That was an experience to remember. They were clearly extremely busy but managed to move like a coordinated, choreographed team. Ticket times were brief, salads, appetizers and entrees were plated efficiently but also appealingly and nothing was dropped or even bumped. All staff were cheerful and friendly. Our meals were delicious. We each had a house salad that was fresh and crisp. My companion ordered the scallops and I ordered the andouille/lobster wood fired pizza (both were specials). We shared the chocolate/habanero infused torte. The scallops were crisply seared on the outside and firm but tender inside. The pizza had a flavorful blend of textures and ingredients. The habanero-infused chocolate torte actually changed my life. Our server explained San Pedro's method of steeping the peppers and using the flavor infused liquid to make the torte, thus ensuring the even distribution of heat throughout the dessert. Truly a wonderful meal at a very lively, pleasant place!

I don't gush about restaurants often. That said, this is by far my favorite stop in the "metro" area. On my first visit, I asked the server what I should have (they know better, they eat it everyday.) She pointed me to the street tacos with pork. Now I have a really hard time getting anything else. Great tortillas, marvelous pork, and fillings that will perfect this wet taco. The jerk chicken sandwich is great. The herb mayo is a great smoothing touch and the mango dressing on the accompanying salad is light, fresh and crunchy. The yucatan stew is also one of my faves. It has some special spice combinations, (they won't tell you what they are) that result in a full bodied wonderful meat stew. It was enough for 3 days of food for me. Since the remodel, it is much more comfortable while keeping its light and casual ambiance. The bar is fairly small, but always well staffed. That brings me to service. We have always had wonderful but never in your face service here. On occasions when the kids have come along, the service always seems to know just the right amount of interaction while keeping mommy and daddy's privacy in check. Vote for Pedro. Hope this place has a long and happy run here. Can't wait for my next street taco.

Wow, this place is great. It's rare you find a restaurant that really excels at all the facets of a restaurant, but obviously they have some very attentive owners as everything here is clearly well thought out. The place is spotless and well designed, down to the menus and patio. The food was delicious, even the happy hour specials. We stopped in for a light meal, and ended up stuffing our faces up to dessert because it was such a good experience. Definitely worth a drive from the Twin Cities.

We wandered into this place on a drive from Minneapolis to Madison. We sat in their outdoor patio not knowing what to expect. The coffee was weak and bland so I feared the worst. Everything changed when the jerk chicken lettuce wraps arrived though. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The aioli was just the right amount of spicy. Next was carne y huevos. It came on a heaping plate. The steak was tender and smothered in guac and spices. The eggs were mixed with pockets of good Wisconsin cheddar. The table hot sauces packed a serious punch. Overall a great find in a tiny Wisconsin town. Five stars despite the weak coffee.

My wife and I come to San Pedro's numerous times a year. The service is consistently great! I'm not sure where they find their wait staff, but everyone is smiling, helpful and has a positive attitude. I've yet to have anything on their menu that isn't worth ordering. Pizza, pasta, steak its all done to perfection. I highly recommend anyone dining in Hudson make it over to San Pedro at some point. The only bad thing is there can be a long wait at peak hours, but there is often room at the bar to sit and wait. We went at 8 last night which was a nice summer Saturday and got a table immediately.

My husband and I randomly tried San Pedro Cafe on the way home from hiking. It was about 4pm and there was a lot of staff and not a lot of customers. We both ordered soup and appetizers at which point we entered the land time forgot. We watched clumps of servers hang out at the bar, or eat an entree by the (open) kitchen, but our soup never came. I think we waited 15-20 mins for our soup to be brought to us. By a new server? The food was great, but the place needs a sous chef or soup guy.

The ten of us decided to try out this place for the first time tonight. 6 adults, 4 kids. With a busy Friday dinner crowd, I was worried this might go really bad. Just the opposite. We had a great experience. Usually I am not one to place a whole lot of weight to the service. Being a former server, I realize that it's basically a crap shoot as to who picks up my table or whether that person has already had a crappy day to start. But this was really outstanding service and a total group effort at good service. From the moment we got in with 2 small children in hand, they were nothing but absolutely pleasant and accommodating. Not those fake pleasantries either. The servers, the manager, the bussers, and even the chef that leaned over to check on us were absolutely brilliant. I really enjoyed the open kitchen concept too. Now on to the food. We arrived a bit late and the others were already digging into a plate of the smoked chicken nachos. Damn, these were really good. The spicy aioli was awesome. The price of the appetizers seemed a bit steep however. My wife had the chicken street tacos. She said they were very tasty and a healthy portion of food. After much deliberation, I decided on the ribs. Yeah, the full rack. Fabulous. Maybe not the best ribs I've ever had, but definitely very good and a nice change from regular old ribs. Well seasoned. Nicely charred. The sauce was kind of a Caribbean take on regular BBQ and had a spicy cranberry flavor in it. The meat was very tender. My kids split a pepperoni pizza and seemed to like it a lot. It could have used a bit more cheese but as it is a "wood fired" fancy shmancy pizza and not Savoy, I'll let it slide. Everybody else at the table really liked their meals and said they would come back. My only knock would be the pricing overall seemed a bit high. I realize Hudson is becoming a happening little riverside town, but it's still Wisconsin and no where near the big city. Seems like an area that should give you more value for your dollar. Anyway, I will be back and I definitely recommend this place if you happen to find yourself in Hudson.

I came here last week to meet up with a co-worker. Yup, it's 20 minutes from Woodbury but it's worth it. In this sleepy town Hudson, San Pedro Cafe is on its main street and across is a nice waterfront for walking, biking, etc. Weather was not so great but managed to walk around with co-worker to see the bridge and some boats. Later that night, the place picked up with more people. Parking is along the street or just park by the fire dept in the back with 4 to 8 hour parking. There are specials and I had the snapper with some vegetables which was nice. The spotted cow was on tap and only can get it in WI not MN.

We came here for lunch on a lovely Saturday a few weeks ago. Being that the weather was so nice, we were able to snag an outdoor table on the back patio. It was quite enjoyable. The service was good and the servers were very nice and expeditious. The food and drinks were good, too. By meal consisted of the Jamaican Hot Pepper and Garlic Chrimp appetizer with a Caesar side salad with lime vinaigrette substituted for the Caesar dressing. The side salad was huge and very tasty and the shrimp were spicy and flavorful. My cocktail was the One Barrel Punch, which was an excellent rum punch. I also sampled the sangria and the margarita and both were good, too. My dining companions had the Cast Iron Chicken Sandwich and the Smoked Barbecue Pork sandwich and they enjoyed both. I like this place and I'm glad we chose it for lunch. I would return if I was in the area again.

I so want to give this place 4 or 5 stars but they are inconsistent. We've been coming here for years and had some fab meals and service. But every now and then we will have such a bad experience, crappy service or a bad meal it takes us a long time to come back. One time we boycotted it for close to 2 years due to a super rude server....came back and fell back in love with San Pedro. Unfortunately, tonight we had a very young server who lacked training was clueless about what spicy food means. I explained I want all my dishes as spicy as possible. When I was asked which dips I wanted for my guac- she recommenced their supposedly hottest dip, which she swore would burn my eyeballs, it was some pineapple salsa that tasted like a candy bar or gummy bears. It was so horrible & sweet we couldn't gag it down. I did mention that it had no spice and she giggled and said she gets this jobs menu mixed up with another job? Not cool. Tap beers were warm . Guac, Pico de Gallo, homemade chips and Yucatan stew, all very good though. Also, we asked our server to add our Twin Cities Original member points to our card. She said we had to enter them ourselves online. I just got off the phone with TCO customer service and that was completely wrong information. The server must do it at the restaurant. The customer service gal was nice enough to add my meal and give me my points, and is also going to email their management to inform their servers the correct protocol so there is no more confusion. Someone needs to train this gal.

Thanks to the unseasonable weather, we were fortunate enough to sit on their patio in mid-March. I did notice that on the other side of the fence, there was a dumpster which may not be so great on a hot and humid day. The drinks were great - I had a rum punch that was very similar to ones I've had in the islands and hubs had a marg which he said was very good and not too sweet. We had the scallop appetizer which was amazing - so flavorful and cooked perfectly. For our meal, we split the street tacos and meatloaf sandwich. The tacos were good but WOW, the meatloaf was out of this world with black beans and roasted corn. (The server mentioned that they use several different meats in the meatloaf including bacon) Its going to be very difficult to figure out what to order next time because it was that good. Everyone staff member we encountered was so nice, it was a pleasure to be there.

I have lived near great restaurants my whole life. I have traveled around the world to eat, and i cook Puerto Rican and Mexican food at home, and I own a small cafe in California with my wife who just happens to be from Hudson WI. I used to think i was going to starve when we went to visit. That was until i ate here. This food had flavor and everything on the menu was familiar to me. This was my kind of place. i do feel that the menu has been adapted to appeal to the demographics of the area, but i see that as a smart business move. Good move serving food with some flavor. I wiil be back.

Our group of 8 had a nice dinner here last night. We ate inside, where the ambiance is fairly typical "Midwest meets Caribbean Island, Mon." The outdoor patio looked like the place to be, and would be my first choice for seating when I return. Going in, I expected a straight Mexican menu. In fact, the offerings are much more varied, from wood-fired pizzas to pastas to salads to, yes, Mexican. My pork tacos were generously filled with hand-pulled pork, nicely smoky and tender. House salads were attractively presented and came with a nice touch--julienned jicama. The pizzas were creatively topped but the crust, though crispy, did not appear to benefit significantly from being cooked in a wood fired oven. Pastas and sandwiches looked good. The "Gold Margarita" was good--in fact, way better than I expected--but when I saw the house had Don Julio Anejo behind the bar, I knew I should have gone in that direction instead. Next time. The beer list (all bottles) was not extensive, but hey--they have Negro Modello, so what else do you need? Wines were predictable and wholly serviceable. Our server was very friendly and made some good recommendations. He even climbed up on the bar to take a photo of our assembled selves--nice! Prices were fair across the board. I've been treating Nova as my default dining option in Hudson. Now, I can say it's nice to have choices.

Great service. Try the mango mojito with the jerk chicken. Delicious .

It is unfortunate to have to write such a negative review, however they did it to themselves. San Pedro used to be a very good restaurant with excellent food, service and decor. Sadly, they can only boast of one of the three these days. Our experience started the moment we entered the door and were greeted by a surly hostess who couldn't believe we would be asking for a table for dinner at 5:30pm. Okay, no problem, we wait for the suffused 20 min at the bar for a table opens up. Five minutes after receiving our drinks 3 tables had opened up but we were not being seated. Then strolls through the door a couple asking the same question we asked 15 minutes prior, and of course they were sat immediately. Huh! It must be because our party is 3 people not 2, and booth size must be the reasoning. A couple more minutes go by and suddenly a table that has been open for ten minutes is ready for us, the shocker is that it is the same size booth as the couple who arrived fifteen after us were seated. Not cool! However, we are not going to let this ruin our night. So we start ordering appetizers, food, and more drinks. The service is okay but nothing to write home about. The decor used to be of brick and dark wood tables, and now it consists of brick and booth seating that I think they bought from a old country buffet liquidation sale. As we continued our meal, my wife had the tuna, while I had the yucatan stew, and our daughter the kids pasta. The food was all very good. The chefs are clearly quality bit they must be working with incompetence. I have been to a few restaurants in my day and I would say it is typical to receive bread with a stew. When it wasn't accompanied with my dish I simply asked if I could have some so I could dip into my delicious meal. The waitress says no problem, and ten minutes later she returns with the goods. In whole, we ordered entrees, appetizers, and numerous drinks, so when the bill came and there was a charge for bread. Interesting! I feel this added charge is indicative of the restaurant. As a family we spend $75 and you are going to charge me for two slices of bread. When is common sense going to win out? Therefore I have no reason but blast this restaurant for complete stupidity and unprofessionalism. We will never go back there, and yes, it is over an added charge on bread and a surly hostess. The food was good a But overpriced. Especially taking into consideration the terrible service. Going out for dinner is supposed to be an experience, and this was a really bad one! San Pedro doesn't care about it's customers, it only cares about the money in the till at the end of the night. Avoid at all cost and go to one of the neighboring eateries!

Excellent place to eat in Hudson, the food is consistently good, although when it is busy, it can take what seems like an eternity to get your food. However, I would rather have my food cooked fresh than pre made or sitting under heat lamps. I recommend the street tacos, wood fired pizzas, the homemade guacomole is outstanding. With regards to the street tacos, I wish you could split the meat order. Our server told us, that it has to be all chicken, all pork, all shrimp, or all veggie. With four tacos on the dish, would it be that hard to split the meat order. She was relatively crabby while answering the request, so many customers must ask for that. The Pasole is excellent as are the duck nachos. And of course, the habanero chocalate cake is a must have.
