Located right down the street from Tibbets Elementary School (for the off-duty teacher), this rural Elkhorn watering hole is truly depressing. When you walk in, it is hard to determine if they are currently remodeling or trying to impress upon a new look for bars. Most of the bar sits in what reminds me of some guy's iving room. In fact, the bar is literally attached to someone's house. Where else in this country can you find a bar attached to a house? Do you need a permit for this? Most of the decor is made of chipboard and the mixed drinks are poured stiff and cheap. An OK pool table but other than that, rough around the edges. Townies definitely abound here and I have yet to see this place with more than five people. ** Update: As of Christmas Eve, 2006 -- a contingent of Elkhorn Area High School alums and friends will be celebrating the first annual Depression Eve, a gathering of drunks and cheap drinks while ringing in Christmas amongst chipboard, domestic tappers and townies who have yet to finish their holiday shopping at 3:30am at the Elkhorn SuperAmerica Gas Station.
