Great custard! What I particularly like is that you can pick any 3 items to add to your chocolate or vanilla custard, so it's like being able to customize it. Tastes great too! It's a little wonky trying to come into the place and get to the rear of the line. Pretty tight corners. Parking in the rear.

Aw shucks. I just love Out & Out. Its new location is cute, clean and more spacious. It has indoor and outdoor seating which is great for summertime custard eating and people watching. If you are getting food, I suggest the Three Cheese Chicken Mac or the Americano panini. The slushy lemonade is perfection on a hot summer day. Out & Out is a great alternative to your everyday sub and hamburger places. Check it out if you want casual dining with fresh and tasty food.

My whole family has cravings for Mac n cheese from this place! The kids like the regular Mac, I have to have the three cheese Mac with chicken and my husband loves the spicy chicken kick . You can't go wrong with any of the custard creations either!

The new location is fantastic and finally meets the standards of the high quality of food that they have been shelling out since day one. Their food is both extremely fresh and and different from the surrounding standard fast food restaurants. The staff is always willing to customize whatever you need on the menu and I have yet to have a meal where the staff is not excited and happy to serve you. Overall Food is great New location is perfect for the food they serve Prices are great for the quality of food you get Definitely recommend you stop in to try it out

Pretty darn good, but the Mac and cheese fell flat. The menu makes it seem like you'll get something special, but when it arrives you realize you could have made some Kraft at home. My sandwich was delicious. I had the Americano which has chicken, roasted red peppers, cheese, spinach, and garlic mayo. I'd suggest that. The atmosphere is nice and clean. It's a good family place with lots of booths and a big community table. There's also kid's books for them to keep entertained. I'd come back, but skip the Mac and try the custard.

I'm a bit shocked at how great the reviews are. Apparently cedarburg doesn't mind pre-made, microwaved food. We ordered a Cuban and mac & cheese. The flavor of the Cuban was unimpressive, as was the size for $6. Putting horseradish on a Cuban is just wrong. The Mac and cheese sauce had a nice cheddar flavor. Too bad the noodles were heated in a microwave, had the cheese sauce poured on and then heated in the microwave again. Sadly, the hummus was my favorite thing! We also ordered a peanut butter trophy which we loved. Point being, stick to dessert only.

Out and out is one of my favorite Cedarburg l casual dining option I personally love love love that really basic plane mac & cheese. The tomato basil mozzarella Panini is my the rest the paninis that I have tried are pretty good too. They are currently operating out of a temporary location. They were initially located at the former dairy queen which has now been leveled and cleared out and a new modern building is going in for Out and Out. It looks like it's going to have a pretty big patio perfect for outside dining. It's a great place to stop by when in Cedarburg just to grab a bite to eat outside. It's fast quick and cheap and delicious. Some other things that it has going for it are multiple gluten-free and vegetarian options. They also have a soup of the day and custard flavor of the day. In addition to other standard custard stand treats

Not sure what people see in this place. I ordered a Cuban and it was yuck! The mac n cheese taste like it was reheated in the microwave. Noodles is much better then this place with a better variety and just a better deal. Had a bite of my daughters three cheese Mac n cheese with chicken.. Yep nothing to write home about!

Love to have a healthier option in town. They have gluten free and veg. options as well. Yummy soups, wraps and mac!

Have catered lunches for my business many times. Have always been easy to work with and done a good job. Food was fresh and well prepared. Love the Mac and Cheese!

Tried this place for the first time today and loved it. Totally affordable and a cool little spot. Try the cranberry turkey wrap. It's awesome and fresh tasting for the summer.

We went there this evening with some mild expectations. It was OK. Not bad, but not really wonderful. My first observation came when shortly after we arrived, a customer returned a dish to the kitchen and asked for them to cook it a bit more, that it was 'a bit underdone' followed by the telltale sound of keys being pressed on the keyboard of a microwave, followed by the sound of an Amanna Pro Microwave turntable in action. I looked over beyond the counter and saw a beautiful Blodgett 8 burner stove and convection oven, pristine and not in use. In there place, two microwave ovens and a paninni. I ordered the tuna wrap which was nice, no complaints but nothing fantastic. My wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich and she described it as OK, but really, deli shaved chicken. I wish that they would make their food fresh. They have all this wonderful kitchen equipment that is just sitting there. I enjoyed the vibe of the decor. Lots of reclaimed wood such as bleacher seats used as wall paneling and thick barewood tables. Will I return? Hmm. I was not dazzled.

The new (temporary) location is down the road about 1/2 mile from the walk up stand. This new location you can walk in and place your order. I have only had the huge butter burgers, cuban sandwich, and of course the frozen custard. The frozen custard is always amazing and the flavors rotate daily. The cuban is decent - I would stick with the burgers. Definitely a greasy food joint yet fun to stop by in summer if you are biking by.

I love this restaurant because of its new renovated store that lighted up the whole area even attracting the attention of a bank that built a bank right next to it. Also has great food and ice cream a little crowded though. Can't blame them for that though! I always go here with my friends and always have a great time. It's very clean and they always take pride in cleaning their tables.

This is my favorite place for food in Cedarburg. I no longer live in town but every time I visit, I stop by and get something, usually the Three Cheese Chicken Macaroni. It is to die for! Menu is generally healthy. Cute little place, and I can't wait until the new location opens.

The Out & Out is adorable. The custard is fine, not the greatest, but the mac and cheese is one of the best things I've ever ingested. I am sure it's just a powdered cheese mixed with curly noodles, but that cheese sauce is one of the most perfect flavors I've experienced. I would order a round of shots of that cheese sauce if I could.

Yeeeeeee Haaaaaaa! The new/old location is now open! Same great custard, sandwiches, salads, and awesome mac n' cheese. I have been going to this place since it opened and moved, and now thank the gods almighty, re-opened at the original location. Walked over to new place tonight, opening day, and I am swooning all over again. Same excellent custard and 3 Cheese Chicken Mac with garlic breadcrumbs. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. If you are looking for the same old burger, hot dog and fries then drive on by -- this is not that kinda place. Once chili season is in full swing I hope they have the same recipe. Sure there is indoor seating now, but you can still sit outside on the thoughtfully designed space and watch the townies drive-by. You can tell that the Out & Out owners were thoughtful in their design of the new building in order to keep the same amenities of the old place: a walk-up window which faces the street, outdoor space to see and be seen, and a delicious menu! This place also gets a thumbs up because it hires a lot of local kids, who even had a hand in painting some of the tables inside. Out & Out is what a small town stand should be. I am glad it is back on the corner.

I have been here a few times and ate the wraps which have been very good. Today we ordered a couple BBQ bowls and a Mac & Cheese. The Mac and Cheese was awful...so watery it could have been soup and no flavor. The two BBQ bowls were no better. Both were clearly made in the microwave as other reviewers have noted. Mine was so over cooked the chicken was like jerky. My son's was so underdone the rice (from the fridge) was still cold. The new location is nice and clean but they better get a handle on quality. It's too bad...I really liked this place. It appears they are experiencing some growing pains.

I can't say for sure how we ended up here, but we stopped in for lunch on our way home from Door County. I'm a huge mac n cheese fan and a bit of a snob about it, and I ordered the veggie mac n cheese, which comes with gluten friendly brown rice pasta. The pasta itself had a good texture and it was nice to have some veggies in there, but I was disappointed with the cheese. It was bright yellow and a bit watery and tasted exactly like Kraft mac n cheese. The husband had some kind of sandwich and I really wish I'd tried the custard. I might give them another shot if it was in the area again and wanted something quick, at least this time I'd know what to expect from their mac.

I had the small size mac and cheese and it was still large, but very good. The turkey wrap was good as was the shake. Great comfort food.

This is the best place to grab a bite to eat in Cedarburg. They also have a great catering service. I am very excited for them to cater my wedding.

Do not let the word "custard" scare you off, health nuts. There is a lot of freshness and Paleo-friendly menu items here. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to order a Greek salad with greens that included sprouts. Yeah! The salad was a nice portion size, offered wonderful flavor, and allowed me a guilt-free lunch from a custard stand. That included my side of carrots and hummus. Seriously, Out & Out? I love you. By the time I'm done eating the salad and side, I forget all about the custard. Kind of. I find myself glancing back at the malts, but remind myself that there is another time for that. I am not going to waste my calories on that when Out & Out has so many diet-friendly options without sacrificing taste. This is a new midday fave!

WHERE DID THIS PLACE COME FROM??? Okay, I was across the street from Out & Out, at Starbucks with my zany Uncle Jack. He was fussing because Starbucks didn't have what he deemed "real food." The barista, overhearing his objections offered us the Out & Out take out menu, and told us we could eat our meals in Starbucks while drinking our coffee. Smart, because while there, we drank more coffee. A win/win for both businesses! My uncle looked at the menu, and scoffed, "ah, this isn't my kind of menu." But I pressed him and said, "Well, just what IS your kind of menu? A nasty fat-ass burger from McDonald's? What exactly is it you require--lard, sugar, mystery meat, and salt?" He caved, and we both had a really decent lunch. You're welcome, Uncle Jack! I was reluctant to try this little stand, until I really examined the menu. The sandwiches and wraps were seemingly made with impressive combinations of fresh ingredients. Case in point, The Cranberry Turkey Wrap: turkey, pecans, herbed cream cheese, boston lettuce, cranberry preserves in a tasty wrap. It was fabulous! And it was a big wrap. It was cut in half and I saved the other half for dinner. I was in town the next day to have a car repair done in town, and I just HAD to try their BMT (Basil, mozzarella, tomato) with balsamic as a hot panini. Wow! Fresh basil, real (not Kraft) mozzarella, and flavorful tomatoes with a balsamic that wasn't overpowering. These guys are really imaginative! The prices: at first I thought, how odd, $4.73? Then, duh, it occurred to me that with tax, it brought the price a penny under $5. I never would have ventured to stop at this take out stand that was a former DQ (that relocated down the street into a sit down location). But damn, am I glad I did! They have a heat lamp that you stand under when you order from the window, and they quickly bring your bagged sandwich and other accoutrements to your car for you. Nice! They also have other soda fountain fav's and custard, if that is your bag. I try to avoid these, so that I don't end up suffering from a prevalent American disease: Assigus Fatigus. My reviews are usually a little acerbic, but I can't think of a pissy thing to say about Out & Out. Really, what's wrong with me? Do I have a fever? Five stars for the damn good sandwich spot that could easily be my daily go-to spot if I lived in Cedarburg. These guys could easily franchise--I'm just sayin'.

Love, Love, Love this place. Everything is delicious. I've tried several paninis, wraps, mac and cheese, salads, custard, soups... all delicious. Prices are fabulous. Everyone there is friendly. I work nearby so it's a bonus that it's quick, tasty and affordable. Way better than eating at a fast food restaurant.

So I finally tried Out and Out. My wife and I are on a mission to try as many custard stands in the ozaukee county area as we can because we are trying to find a similar stand to our all-time favorite, LeDuc's in Wales, WI. Anyways, back to the review. We had lunch here, my wife had the Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap, which was quite large! She said it was very good. I had the Americano Panini, it was quite delicious and very satisfying. We each then shared a S'more Sensation sundae, its a good thing we shared, it was very sizeable which isn't a bad thing! As far as the custard goes, it was average, I would say their strength is their sandwiches and other meal type foods. The custard, although creamy, was missing something. If you've ever been to LeDuc's, you'll know what I'm talking about. I would definitely return to try their other lunch items, as far as the custard, I don't have the need to go there solely for it.

I used to work on the next block and would stop in often for the Basil, tomato and mozzarella panini with olive oil and balsamic. My favorite sandwich and theirs was pretty good. I will say the ingredients thinned out after they had been open for a couple of months making me less interested in spending $5 on it. Plus in the winter, there is no where to sit....

Looks like my review got filtered. After the time spent writing the previous review, I hope this one stays. If I was in the area again, I would definitely go back for a meal. Why go from 5 stars to 4? Hey, it's a hamburger stand!

My whole family loves the Out & Out. The paninis and wraps are great, and my 3-year-old can't get enough of the twisted mac & cheese. (Actually we all love the mac & cheese.) And whenever some friends of ours come over, they ask to bring dessert and stop at the Out & Out for a quart of custard on their way. Great stuff, and they also have great gluten-free options if you want/need those!

The Mac & Cheese is the absolute BEST!!!!! They also have really great panini choices. I'm convinced that there is NOTHING bad to eat at this place! Love it!

My husband and I came here for one thing -- custard. I am by no means a connoisseur, but I've had better. I am generally loathe to choose a chain over a local place, but Culver's custard is smoother, creamier, and more custardy. This just tasted like ice cream to me.

EXPENSIVE for mac and cheese! My family all ordered some type of mac and cheese. It was bland. Make sure to order the smallest size, I ordered the regular mac and cheese and it was way too much.

When we travel we always try and use Yelp as a guide to finding different places to eat. We are used to tons of fresh food and so after the second day of fried food that seems popular around Milwaukee we were looking for something a little lighter. This place is a refreshing change. My husband enjoyed his wrap and I loved my side of salad and fresh toasted bread. The custard was very good as well. This one is a keeper. We will be returning here on our next visit.

The frozen custard is as good as Kopps. They are obviously using a good mix and the best equipment to make their custard. If you happen to be in the neighborhood and want a great custard, this is THE place to go in Cedarburg, Outdoor seating only (formerly a DQ), go there on a nice day and kick back on the patio with a cone and enjoy without having to pay full-service restaurant prices. I haven't tried the food, but the selection of sandwiches is a step up from the greasy fare at most casual food places.

Fresh and delicious wraps and also very good malts - tasty, healthy food to go that totally outclasses the fast food alternatives down the street.

Little stand on the corner on the main drag through Cedarburg, south of the commotion of downtown, kiddy-corner from the Piggly Wiggly. This is strictly a take out place. You stand outside to order at one window, get your chow at another window, and there's some outside seating or get your food here and drive over to the park and watch the river flow. Very good food too, wraps and paninis, some "classic" sandwiches like grilled cheese, ham and cheese, hot dog, and a bbq pulled pork sandwich. NO BURGERS NOR FRIES I TELL YOU NO LIES! Salads, and custard sundaes (everydaes) in more possible combinations than you can shake a stick at. Ice tea, smoothies, shakes and malts, and, of course, bottled water. Also macaroni and cheese plates and soup of the day for the colder weather, so its as good as the lunches mom used to make in the fall and winter. Its a small place on the corner with a small bunch of hard working people, and they turn out some pretty good food. Open at 11 and close at 10 (close at 9 in the winter). Take a break from the chain fast food places and get something a little bit different and very tasty. Your body and soul will thank you.
