Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

This is a great place. Excellent excellent pizza. Not overly crowded. Drinks are top notch. And service is good. They just added a patio. It's a diamond in the rough.

Horrible service. Slow to bring menus, fill waters and bring the bill. Pizza is fair at best - bland, canned mushrooms and soggy, tough crust. Owner was friendly upon arrival and nasty and below the line when we left. Stayed behind the bar rather then apologizing. We live close. Convenient spot. We will never return. I like to patronize establishments that care and appreciative of my business.

I've had pizza all around Milwaukee, Brookfield and many other suburbs and Pizza Vino's is by far the best I and my wife have ever had. Their Cheese, Italian Sausage, Onion and added Bacon. The thin strips of Vidalia onions were very good and the crumbled Bacon added a nice touch. Their house wines are very good since the owner picked them out specifically to put his restaurants name on them, so you know they are acceptable. All of the different meals we had were tasty and priced right. They also have excellent fish frys. owner, Chris, tries to stop at everyone's table to check on the quality of the food and service. He adds a nice touch to a fine restaurant. There are also friendly and professional bartenders. I highly recommend trying this place. You will NOT be disappointed.

Good pizza, horrible service! We saw 6 tables arrive after us and leave before we even received our food. It took the owner coming over to our table to ask how things were going to get the water and soda we'd asked for 45 min prior. I recommend avoiding dining in and just get the takeout.

This is a nice place to come. The pizza is very good and the people who work here are very nice too. I will be back soon

I had heard great things about Pizza Vino, so we decided to give it a try. It wasn't very busy, but there were a few big tables. We ordered right away so we got in before a table of approximately 10 ordered. We waited 45 minutes and then stopped the owner to ask if this was a typical wait time. He got very snippy and told us that we were not waiting 45 minutes. He then said he would check on the pizza. He came back and told us it would be 5 more minutes. It took 10 more. When we were leaving, he sarcastically said "have a nice evening". When I approached him to explain our issues, he just kept saying that we did not wait 45 minutes. I told him that I have already put our experience on Facebook and will be putting it on Tripadvisor and Yelp. He then yelled "f-you, lady" at me! I will NEVER step foot in there again, and hope this review helps people to decide the same

Excellent pizza and great garlic bread. Chris (extremely friendly) provided a sample of their marinara sauce and it too was delicious and flavorful. Will go back for their fish fry soon and for more pizza!

The sausage and peppers are excellent. The sausages are homemade by the owner. My wife has the mussels which she thought were fantastic and would have them again. We've has their pizza also and thought highly of it too. We will make it one of our favorite stops.

Old school italian and good. Sausage and peppers are fantastic! Chris the owner made a personal stop at our table, great touch. Portions are big and tasty. Will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a very tasty dinner tonight, beginning with a piping hot loaf of Italian bread served with sun dried tomato pesto, and a fantastic dish of sausage and peppers - and those sausages are homemade, thank you very much! We could have stopped there, but pizza. :) We tried the Margarita and a sausage/mushroom/green pepper/onion. The ingredients were all so fresh and flavorful, we really enjoyed both. Service was courteous and well paced. Wine list offered a small, but decent variety, and the personable owner stopped by with enticing details on other dining options -- homemade rye bread served with the fish fry and house made tiramisu and cannoli? Sign me up!

Nice atmosphere and good food, but it took forever to get it. We sat down at 8pm, and it took 20 minutes to get our appetizer. However, it wasn't until after 9am when they served our main dish (pizza). How long should it take to make pizza in a restaurant that's not that busy???

  • Frank A.

This was our first time there, and we tried it based on the reviews. Since pizza was in the name, that's what we had. Everything about the pizza was as good or better than we have had anywhere, and we get around. The crust was crisp and done just right. The owner, Chris, said they make their own sausage. There was plenty of it, and the flavor was terrific. Our other toppings were spinach (not burnt!), basil, sun-dried tomatoes, green peppers, and mushrooms. All were plentiful and fresh. My wife felt there could have been just a touch more of the sauce, but I was OK the way it was. There was also a cool fish tank with a big variety of fish. We'll definitely be back.

This pizza is as good as it gets in Brookfield! Plus the host (he could be the owner for all we know as he seems a jack of all trades) is every inch the perfect host! If you come twice he will remember you and greet you like an old friend. We can only speak for the eggplant and the pizza, but each will be delivered piping hot to you (we always eat at the bar). Absolutely delish. Visual sitings of meatballs, etc make us want to return. We are definite fans

  • Goldie S.

I have eaten here twice, once during Happy Hour and once for Pizza. The food is made from scratch, not deep fried out of a box. The pizza was really loaded with Italian sausage, mushrooms, and thick Vidalia onion strips. Yum! Chris, the owner, came out both times to meet me and find out how I liked the food. Very personable and warm. Bartenders are attentive and polite. My new favorite hand out after work!

Who would have ever thought that one could get fabulous pizza in the "burbs"? We didn't know much about this 1 year old restaurant and have generally been disappointed with other pizza places nearby. Their toppings were thin and cheeses were bland and overly salted and oiled. But tonight, we had the supreme pizza--layers of fresh vegetables, meats, all expertly sliced and delicious. And just the right amount of cheese. The mussels were fresh and the eggplant lightly breaded and fried. Get the house red for $13 a bottle. The owner bottles his own little table wine at a very decent price. It's more than just drinkable--it tastes good! The owner/host is a fabulous guy as well. Ask him for a tour of the fish tank loaded with beautiful tropical fish. You can't go wrong with this restaurant. Try it!

Let me start by saying the food was very good - besides the canned mushrooms. Service was another story. Food took a while to come out, which is understandable on a Friday night. Had to beg for wine refills. No offer on water or soda refills. Waitress was MIA when we were looking to get more water. The straw for me was when it took over 15 minutes to get the 3 year old his ice cream and was told by the server "the kitchen is backed up, it will be another minute". I doubt they make their own Gelato here... Anyhow I was up to my ears by now with the situation. Asked for a manager. Got a very busy, preoccupied, rude owner. I introduced myself. He made no eye contact. I gave some feedback similar to what I said here. He couldn't care less. I was very disrespected and am sad I wasted $75 at that place. I so do NOT recommend
