It's an Outback -- so, considering things are pretty standardized, it's A-OK. The good stuff: Add yourself to the waitlist in advance via their website or by calling. I'd never been to this location before and was shocked when we found out it'd be a 90 minute wait, so we wandered around Target until the designated time and then were seated pretty quickly after arrival. For those who do find themselves waiting in the lobby for a while, the staff was periodically coming around with menu samples, which was a nice touch. Other than that, the food was as good as any other Outback I've visited (that bread = top notch). The "meh" stuff: Perhaps due to the busy crowd, but there just seemed to be confusion among the staff and kitchen. In general, food seemed a bit slower than expected coming out of the kitchen. Our waiter kept apologizing because another server apparently grabbed our appetizer two separate times, so it arrived about two minutes before our entrees. Not a big deal and the manager kindly comped it without our asking, but the poor waiter seemed exasperated about it. Hang in there, dude.

Why do I always end up at Outback when I am traveling for work? It never fails. I digress. I am sure its because I know I will not be disappointed because I know what to expect from them. I decided to change it up this time and I ordered the Victoria Filet with a Blue Cheese crust OMG it was so great! Seasonal veggies nice and crispy. The people were so nice and even offered me a free drink while I waited for my food before going back to the hotel. I guess they could tell I had had a long day :)

The food was too spicy. They are very heavy handed on the pepper. We took our young son out with us, as a treat. He didn't want to go unless he could have french fries. We said we'd go to a french fry place. When we ordered for him, we specifically asked for french fries. The waitress said he'd get fries. When he got his order, no fries! I asked the waitress about the fries and she said: there's already a starch with the meal, so he doesn't get fries. What the? I'm his parent! Aren't I the one to decide if he can have "a starch" and which starch? Never going back. I don't want to support this chain anywhere.

Steakhouse? Wife had filet and I had the porterhouse, both added the auce shrimp. The steaks were a disaster, inedible, questionable quality at best. Have had better steaks out of the back of a chevy S-10 (door to door crappy beef deals)... The shrimp took a long time to get and asked after receiving the garlic butter shrimp if it was supposed to be served cold or if you could get it warmed? Server seemed concerned about the delay and temperature but didn't address either issue after taking 20 minutes to return with the next order of shrimp. To her defense, she did bring us each an additional serving for waiting, but again they were cold. The shrimp being served cold created quite a gelatinous nastiness. Overall; The outback is just nasty. Why waste your money?

Our server was run and gun kinda guy. Smooth talker. We started with waters and bread. Ordered pretty quickly, waited on appetizer wings. We both ordered steaks with sides; mash potatoes, Mac and cheese, salad. My son ordered a flat iron steak and I choose the sirloin. Wings were 5 mild and 5 hot with blue cheese dressing and celery. We plowed through the wings pretty quickly. My Cesar salad was drenched in dressing with a healthy dose of parmesan cheese. It was very tasty. Waited on steaks. We where told it would be 20 minutes. Much longer than expected.

Staying at the attached Country Inn and Suites hotel. Ate here two nights. First night received great service and fantastic food. Second night the waitress was great, but my shrimp was not hot (scampi butter congealed). They took it back to heat it and it came back the same. After two tries I suggested the fried shrimp. Received overdone shrimp. At that point I decided to finish the rest of my dinner and call it a night. The server did deduct for the inconvenience, but that really wasn't the point. She was great, not her fault the kitchen was having issues.

Why even make a reservation if they still treat you as first come first serve? Nothing new here though, this has been a 12 year problem and we usually just go elsewhere than deal with it.

The service and food at this restaurant chain has fallen in the past several years. Quality and quantity. Went on 10/18/2014 Ordered ribeye and baked potato. The complimentary rye roll was dry and tasteless. Steak was ok but just ok Potato was under cooked with sparse butter, sour cream and chives!

This is not a great chain . The steaks are not great and the past two times I have been there the service has not been good. For the prices they charge the food should be a lot better. The one good thing is they have some tasty bar drinks. I recommend go for drinks and skip the food. Oh and the blooming onion is way overrated

I had been bugging my boyfriend for months to take me to the Outback Steakhouse. I was craving steak and lobster at a reasonable price. I was telling my boyfriend that I wasn't going to order the filet mignon since this is a steak place they should know how to make a good steak even if its just a sirloin steak. Boy was I wrong steak was horrible. The steak was hard to chew although they did get it correctly made being medium rare the outside look like it battled with some charcoal was black and chalky. I also asked for a mushrooms in fried onions on my steak, but I ended up with a bowl of button mushrooms and what they call fried onions. It was horrible no taste very plain, and then when I got the bill I saw that I was charged $2.99 for the horrible mushrooms and fried onions... Ridiculous. Now lets go on to what they call lobster, I understand I'm only paying 8 bucks for a lobster tail but I really did expect more than 2 tablespoons of lobster meat. I was so pissed at the quality and quantity of the lobster tail and the food. I couldn't even mention it to my boyfriend, because he ended up paying 86 bucks for food and drinks that I didn't even care for... and it wasn't like I was going to tell him his hard earned money went to shitty food. The only reason I'm giving them one star is because they're berry sangria was pretty good that's where they get their one star. Also the waitress was screaming at us yelling at us like her voice tone wasn't pleasant, it seems like she was constantly yelling and barking out stuff at us it was not a relaxing experience . When we got home my boyfriend said he was glad he got the bloomin onion but he could have passed on everything else . It's pretty sad when your boyfriend says he doesn't know why we go out to eat when I cook a steak it's better than most restaurants. Honey we go out to eat because I get sick of cooking every single day. ;)

Overall a good experience. Filet portion of the porterhouse (classic style) was very good, but the strip portion seemed almost too lean and had more pepper than I would have preferred. Again, the baked French onion soup was definitely above average, by my taste. My main gripe with outback: the "call ahead". We only waited 5 minutes for our table, I just wish they didn't take these silly almost-reservations, which are just a mind game anyway.

I would rate the food a 3 the cooking a 2 and the service a solid 4.5. My wife ordered the steak which wa cooked properly, but my burger was horribly overcooked. When I told them of it they apologized and said because the double burger patties are so thin they can't do anything but well done. I kinda get that but recently at tally ho and boobys they both had thin patties and managed to get them medium rare and medium respectively. They did however replace my burger with two normal patties which came out more rare than medium rare but was a vast improvement. Again the service and manager were great...just the cooking was not really up to par. I would go back but would be more inclined to go somewhere else firt.

Our visit was 50/50....It seemed we were in the wrong section....Everything seemed to be in slo-motion, even the host meandered us to the table. Our drinks were slow getting to the table and together. Our Bloomin Onion took a long time to arrive and was overcooked and luke warm. Our Avocado Stack came right before our main course. the server said our ticket was lost and we were comped for the apps. The meal came... again another round of drinks were slow getting to our table. Our dessert never came, we had to ask our server for it to go when she brought out the bill, which was slow in getting to us! Then paying the bill was slow getting it back to us! The food, even the only warm, overcooked Bloomin Onion was very good....no problem with taste, portions or choices of main dishes. Don't know if we would return to this OS just because of service!

Friendly staff. My Victoria filet was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My take w away order was not correct, but what I got was delicious.

Stopped in here after the long drive back from St. Louis, wanting some comfort food (steak as comfort food? why not?) Was hardly impressed with my meal. They put so much pepper on my steak, it was all I could taste. I had to scrape huge blobs of it off with a knife and put it to the side. In addition, my sweet potato fries were not cooked all the way through. Yuck. On the plus side, though, I liked the atmosphere of the place, our waitress was really nice, and the rye bread was AMAZING (and I usually hate rye bread!). Am going to try to give this place the benefit of the doubt. May have to go back one more time just to give it another chance.

Food is sub-par and the service is slow. We will probably not be back.

Had 4 pm reservations on Mother's Day to avoid the supper rush. Waited 45 min. before most of our group (only 7 people) received their order. My daughter and I had to wait an additional 15 min. to get our entrees (soup and salad). I took a few bites, then took the rest home, because everyone else had finished eating. A request to speak with the manager was ignored. Customers were packed in like sardines and several tables left without eating. Holiday or not, it's unacceptable for a restaurant to overbook and understaff. Our family will not be returning.

The owner of the Brookfield Outback restaurant, Ross, called me to talk about my concerns. Pretty cool! He said he takes gluten-free issues very seriously and is saddened by the quality control issues in take-away. He suggested that when I place an order in the future for take-away that I should ask to speak with the manager on duty. Apparently, they go through a lot of different people and although gluten-free is a part of training, some part-time employees just don't get it. I have not tried this yet. But, I'm certainly hopeful that this might help... although I'm not holding my breath either.

Came here for my uncles 80th birthday. Our server was superb, the food was not. The bloomin onion came out a little over fried and had a slight burned taste. I ordered the 6 ounce Victorian filet, medium rare, baked potato fully loaded and the green beans. When our plates arrived I was a little surprised. My filet was the smallest I had ever seen, maybe 1/2" thick and 4" in diameter. Overcooked. The potato was undercooked, rather hard and just a bit warmer than room temperature. The green beans were limp. I didn't complain because it was my uncles birthday AND Outback was my suggestion, they wanted to go to another eatery, but I said I had never had a bad steak at Outback. I didn't not finish my meal, I cut up the steak and potato to take home to my dog. When we got home, my leftovers were not in the bag. I was disappointed and a little embarrassed by my suggestion of going to Outback! I will not be back to this location.

After living in Australia, I can say the food isn't exactly "Aussie", but it's still MORE than delicious! Outback... Hot diggity I LOVE THIS PLACE. Two for One happy hour and the manager always comes by to make sure everything was really delicious and that the service is up to par. Many times, I've even been offered free appetizer coupons other customers have left behind just for being there. Now that's customer service!

Thought I would check out my local Outback after seeing the tv ads. Had been there before but it had been sometime ago. Ordered the sirloin special medium rare accompanied by steamed vegetables, blue cheese salad & dessert. The salad was over-dressed and, despite the blue cheese crumbles, had little blue cheese flavor. The sirloin was cooked to order but had no flavor-I had inquired of my server whether to go with the wood fired or the seasoned grill...she suggested the latter & I complied but I couldn't taste any flavoring or really even the meat. The steamed vegetables were limp and equally flavorless. When asked by my server about my meal, I opted for the truth and was visited by the assistant manager to whom I repeated my comments. The dessert was carrot cake sprinkled with cinnamon-the best course of the meal by far. The check came and the meal had been removed much to my surprise-I prefaced my comments to my server & the assistant manager with the thought I just wanted to share my experience, not receive any special treatment. So, great service & responsive management but there are better deals with superior food to be had elsewhere. Don't shortchange yourself thinking you're getting a bargain when you're not.
