Always amazing. Great service. Good food. What more can I say? Been going here for years and nothing has ever changed. I wish they still had pole position in the lobby, though. I miss playing that game!

The parking lot is always full of cars so I finally stopped in. At 6:20 am on a Saturday just after opening the lot had many cars in it, I thought this place must be great. When I entered I looked around and thought what a dumpy looking place. The place was full of older people and a lot of them. The woman that was serving me was working the room like a boss, she was a pro. My menu and water came quick. The menu is typical greek breakfast food. I ordered the two eggs with sausage and ham. The food came quick, see my pictures. The two eggs were perfect sunny side up. The hash browns were hard, dry and horrible. The sausage links were juicy and very mild, not that great. The ham was off the bone and good. The toast was nice sourdough, thank you. As a bonus you get a moist cinnamon piece of Coffey cake on the toast. $9.98 was the total. Over all this is not my favorite breakfast place and I love breakfast. I don't see why the lot is always full because this was very average but the service was excellent. That woman with the pony tail was the best server in action working the room.

Maxim's is a large Greek style restaurant. Been there several times. The place is clean, the people and servers are nice and usually around if you need them. The menu is also large but missing key things I like. For instance. No Dr. Pepper or Cherry Pepsi. No open faced sandwiches on the menu either. They serve large 1/2 lb. Angus Burgers but I don't think Angus is my thing as there isn't much taste to them until you add extra toppings to them. The homemade chips are really good as is the 5 cheese grilled cheese sandwich. However, overall it is still a good place to stop if you like a large variety. With better soda choices and a few more things I usually like added to the menu, this could easily become 4 stars.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Brookfield area! Great food, great prices!

Great service but the food was horrendous. Pot Roast was dry and served with a strange gravy that had a very off, artificial taste. The cooked vegetables were slathered in too much butter and salt. The mashed potatoes were bland but edible.

For a family style restaurant, the food is very good. We have always had good service fromt the staff. Recommended!

Maxims is a nice little family restaurant with some tasty Greek food. We came here before a cake tasting at Cakes by Gloria, which services out of the restaurant. The place caters to the older crowd, and the decor reflects that. I made the mistake of getting a classic American dish, but my fiance got something Greek. I would definitely recommend going the direction she did. My meal was mediocre, but hers was quite good.

Maxim's is a classic casual dining family restaurant. You know the kind. The sort of place that has a HUGE menu. The sort of place that is PACKED on Sundays with freshly churched Christians. The sort of place that identifies as a Greek restaurant when there are maybe two menu items that contain Greek-like ingredients. It's the place you can bring kids. And parents. And grandparents. And great-grandparents. You can reach deep into your ancestry & everyone would still be comfortable. I saw a representative of the homo erectus species wearing a polo & some khakis going to town on a Denver Omelette. Maybe he was homo ergaster. It's always hard for me to tell. Is that bad? Maybe it's not bad that I can't tell the difference, but it is bad that I'm bringing it up. Sort of like, hey, if it's not a big deal, why talk about it? It's not a big deal. I'd just prefer to be accurate & not assume. But maybe it's that I see a need to identify him at all that is the problem. Just tell the story, dude. We don't need to know the specific species of the human ancestor that was enjoying his Sunday breakfast at Maxim's. I guess the point is, who wouldn't enjoy a Sunday breakfast at Maxim's? No one. The people watching can be great. For example: I visited for dinner with my most recent ancestors, my parents, and there was an older dude sleeping at one of the tables in the dining room. He was dining & sleeping alone. No one bothered him. You're damned right. THAT is casual dining. It's not like he was snoring or disruptive. I saw no drool. And after a while, he woke up. Maxim's knows it's all good. I think there are a lot of us who wish we could fit in a few quick naps now & again. So refreshing. If you're hung over & in Brookfield, if you're with your family or a church group, if you want daily drink specials & a gigantic menu, if you want an extremely casual dining experience, Maxim's is your place.

We have eaten breakfast here numerous times with very good results. The food is great with large portions and reasonable prices. The service is always friendly and attentive and your coffee cup is never empty. The patrons are primarily an older crowd.

We stumbled on this place one time when we were starving and we've come back many times. Menu is huge. Desserts are WONDERFUL. Service is fast and friendly. There's a full bar that's separate from the food area. Decor is clean and pleasant. Each time we've gone there seems to be an abundance of older adults who are regulars. Appetizers are good. You get a freshly baked loaf of bread with your dinner and salad or soup. Gyros are not greasy and very tender. Greek dishes are generous and very good. You will leave with leftovers and you will make a trip back! Be sure to save room for dessert -- their cheesecake is to die for. I decided not to cook this Thanksgiving, so we're going there for their holiday buffet!

One of the best breakfast meals I've had out. And the pancake was the size of my head!

Came here with a huge family group, and while I can't really recommend the place for anything in particular, it was convienent for a large group and we were served and attended to in a timely manner. The prices for breakfast/brunch seemed very reasonable, and the amount of food you got was definitely sufficient. Many of us shared a meal, and those who didn't were stuffed. They also brought out some tasty mini strawberry muffins ahead of time! The hot chocolates were massive and awesome looking! The service was nice and the timing very reasonable, though we were there at an odd time on a not very busy weekday. Overall, nothing to complain about, just nothing special about it that I would really recommend either.

It seemed like yesterday I was here! My goodness, a repeat of my 2/1/13 review and reason. My friend John, the Certified Italian Chef called me Sunday night needing my help again to drive one of his cars from Fox Point to Pewaukee Monday. Like clockwork we did it again. Heading back east on Capitol Drive we came upon Maxims quickly after entering Brookfield. Although it was my turn to buy, with John driving I had no choice, we quickly entered the crowded parking lot at Noon. Surprisingly, while the lot was filled, we were just the seventh table. Where were all the people? We never found out or saw them in our nearly hour stay. Jan was our very good server making sure we had everything we needed, checking on us repeatedly. That's where the good ended. The menu is now even more "over-priced." Gone are the desserts that were included with dinners. You'll have to pay half the menu price now. Lunch items were almost all in the $8 and up range, dinners in the $12 and much higher range. John ordered the Cod lunch which at $11.45 came with only a single piece of Cod. "Not enough" was the Certified Chef's" response. Being a 'Greek' establishment, I ordered the Gyro ($7.95) which unfortunately had far more french fries to off-set a skimpy sandwich. A final warning, the prices you see for many items in the on-line menu is incorrect. All I can say is "enter at your own risk." Sorry again stomach!

We like going here because it's fast and delicious. You can get breakfast all day long and the pancakes are as big as your head. I love their Gyro here and the family likes the seasonal sandwiches that they have. It's also a great place for meeting people for a meal. The staff is always friendly and the restrooms are clean. Dinning area is large and you can find a quite corner if you need to talk. I would recommend this restaurant to any one in need of a quick and delicious meal.

This is a great family restaurant. Great clean interior and friendly staff. Get the giant pancakes, they are delicious. But overall the dining experience is great. Love how fast the food comes out. Its almost like it is pre-made. Looking for a diner on the west side. Check it out. You will find a large variety of food for the whole family.

As far as your family style Greek restaurants go, Maxims is okay. In my experience, breakfast is your best choice. For lunch and dinner, the sandwiches are pretty good, meal selections are decent, but the soups are kind of bland. Friendly staff and clean.

Best omelettes anywhere with very friendly staff. I live 3 min away and love this place. I can see myself going here for years...

Eh. Ordinary breakfast fare, nothing amazing but a good meal and attentive service, enjoyed the quotes painted on the wall. The desserts in the case looked good, but, alas, it was breakfast.

Big prices for very average food. We were disappointed, as we'd bought a boxed cake there a few years ago, and that was pretty good. We expected better. I used an entertainment book coupon there, and they gave us a bit of a run around about it as well, as the waiter failed to note it on our bill. I don't think we'll be back.

Raised in Brookfield - as a kid - Maxim's was my favorite restaurant to go to for dinner. But especially for dessert after a concert or other school performance. There is a reason they are still around! For me, this was the place I enjoyed my very first Cherry Turnover (which is now my favorite food/dessert - all because of Maxim's). The turnovers are the biggest I have ever seen... and you know when you're a kid, how everything seems gigantic? Well, I recently came back and they are just as big as I remembered. Plus, the pastry is flaky and there is a nice glaze on the top with sizable pieces of sugar sprinkled on top. Maxim's really has a nostalgic effect on me and is why I returned after all these years, I don't remember ordering many dinners. That could be because they serve breakfast all day. So I would say this makes it a great place to bring your kids if you need a family friendly restaurant. Breakfasts are great! But, I can't remember a dinner specific meal that I've had, but my grandpa and parents seem to really enjoy the food! If you find yourself in Brookfield, you should at least stop in and try some desserts. Aside from having the Best-Turnovers-Ever, they have a wide variety of other pastries and cakes. My younger brother has enjoyed everything he's ever tried.

Went there for the Mother's Day buffet and what a disappointment it was. The food was below average at best and for the size of crowd it seemed like most of the food was sitting in the steam tables for a long time. The plates staked up I found a number of them still with food stuck. I will say the couple of desserts I had were good but not worth going back for. Looks like next year I will be picking the restaurant for Mother's day not my sister.

Great food at great prices. Huge menu, something for everyone. Half price apps in bar all day. Friendly servers, great place for small kids to seniors and all ages in between.

The food is truly nothing to write home about. Chicken fajitas were very bland and dry. The free dessert (ice cream) was freezer burned. Definitely an old people's restaurant. Lots to choose from on the menu but I'm always leery of restaurants with so many different choices. Their breakfast is better than the dinners, in my opinion. But breakfast is hard to screw up too badly. Service was very slow and she didn't really check on us after we ordered.

My senior citizen parents go here at least once a week and love it. It's the first place they take me whenever I come in from out of town. They love the owners and the wait staff, a well as the food. I'm a bit non-plussed overall. Highlights: the Perch Fish Fry is very good.
