For a chain, Champps has a pretty good handle on the food their producing. We have been there a number of times over the past few months, and I have been very pleased each time. Our visits are for post-workout meals and to take in a sporting event or two. The service is always great, even with the walls bulging and people pouring in. Never a water glass empty or a mishap with an order. I am impressed by their specials and the variety they offer. The menu can occasionally be overwhelming because of its sheer size, so the shorter "Specials" menu is helpful. You will actually find exciting plates too. This go, I went with the Summer Chicken Salad and found a fresh garden on my plate. I didn't imagine it the way it came out, including its size, but it was no less delicious. The plate itself was covered in mixed greens, dried cranberries, candied almond slices, goat cheese crumbles, sliced strawberries, and halved red grapes. Everything appeared fresh (i.e., no bruises, blemishes, wilted leaves, etc.). The dressing was a honey Dijon vinaigrette. On two corners of the plate, there were also scoops of rotisserie chicken salad. The entire salad was enough for three lunches. The portion may have been large, but so were the flavors. The sweet fruit, the crunch from the almonds, the sharpness of the goat cheese, the tart cranberries, smoky chicken, and the tangy dressing all made for an amazing salad. It is one I would certainly keep in my recipe box and share with others. This did not taste mass produced. Even though you're in a sports bar, it is a nice surprise when you can have something out of the ordinary AND it's extraordinary. Who would've thought?

Good place to watch a game; definitely a flight above your average sports bar. Huge food and drink menu with lots of types of fare and ongoing specials. For a full review of their bloody mary, visit outforbloodies.com .

I was here this past weekend and was there to watch the UFC fight. We arrived early and were able to snag a spot at the bar. We were immediately greeted by a bar tender. We looked over the menu and ordered drinks. I started out with the ultimate margarita. It was very delicious and very strong. We also ordered the nachos and those were good. There was enough cheese, meat and sour cream. We added the guac and it was good. Two different bartenders checked on us after we got our food to see if we needed anything. As the night got busier I felt like we kind of got forgotten. I was without a drink for a while and couldn't flag the bartender down. I had to practically beg for refills on my water. There was 4 of us in our party and we ordered food and drinks but yet we were ignored. I understand that the place got busy but there were times the bartenders were just huddled in an area and we had to wave to them to come over. The restaurant was clean and everyone was friendly but the bartenders were not on top of their game. I believe there were 4 of them but I waited too long without a drink. This is a great place to watch sporting events, plenty of tvs.

If you haven't been here in a while I suggest giving it another try . Their menu use to be big ... Almost to big . They have now made it smaller and more limited , which I think increased the food quality . They have the best homade potato soup Their Bloody Mary is another must try . They have taco Tuesday , $2 off any taco meal . They have a new Korean taco that is super flavorful and a generous portion amount . The space is open concept and a great place to watch any sports games or fights . They have a side room you can rent out for parties as well . It's a great place to eat with the family , they have a few old school arcade games in the back by the bathrooms . They have a little bit of every kind of food from burgers , pastas to pizza . Defiantly not your average pub food !

One of my favorite restaurants! You can go to watch any sports game. Best potato soup ever! Great service and very helpful waitress. Prices pretty decent

Best part of this place? The beer! The pub has a nicely curated list of taps that switch often. They also host events that bring in rare beers. I've heard they are a must-visit spot during Milwaukee Beer Week. The menu was nice. Bar food mixed with some other not-so-bar food options. The corn chowder was to die for - creamy, nice bit of spicy kick to it. The server said she works on Wednesdays because that particular soup is on the menu.

Service was great and speedy...had the Kung Pao Lettuce Wraps and the flavor was amazing! If you don't like spice then this isn't the dish for you! Overall great experience

New menu , again, order same thing as normal as the sesame seared tuna salad is officially back. Overseared today, yet worthwhile to eat. Just one of the thirteen of us ordered soup, so that was forgotten. Still give it a slight edge compared to the nearby Friday's, and big edge over Chili's outings the last few years.

I am a huge fan of Champp's as is most people based on how busy they always are. The beer selection is pretty outstanding and I can always get something that interests me. Prices aren't posted on the beer menu so if you are concerned just ask. The food is awesome in quality and portions. Services has always been good and you can see the managers working hard along with the employees. It can get noisy so be prepared for that. We come here often... probably more than any other place. Check out BeerMenus.com to see what they currently have on tap.... no other place in Brookfield has their selection.

I have been here a couple of times and both times the food was below average. I got the wings the first time and they were burnt crisp. Second time I tried the steak and it was tough and had very little flavor. Maybe a great place to grab a beer and watch a game but the food is sub-par.

I love this place. Every time I'm in the Milwaukee area I make sure to visit! It's a great atmosphere for sports too but it's not in your face to the point where it's a sports bar. Classy atmosphere & great food! What more could you ask? Friendly service you say ... Well they have that covered too. No doubt the management "gets it". I look forward to my next visit.

I'm kind of getting over my Champps obsession. Ever since they rolled out their new menu things just aren't the same. It's expensive, and their menu has a lot of random items, but not a lot of typical items. I still think their burger is one of the better ones in the city but don't dare get their lunch burger - it's tiny and they use a lower quality meat. I used to crave Champps and now I'm more like meh. Still a great craft beer menu with like 20-30 on tap, but the beer isn't too cheap $4-6. Might come here for a Packer game or two in the fall, but most likely not every weekend like I once did.

Over the years I have been invited to many a happy hour at champs, but since Brookfield isn't really my jam and it's miles from home base, I never made it. I ended up here for a work dinner last week however, and I really kind of liked it! It sort of reminded me of a bw-3 on steroids. Bright and bustling, with huge tv's with different sporting events everywhere. Tons of bars and tables (or so it felt) and a hectic, lively atmosphere. They had a nice beer list along with some mixed drinks. We had a ton of the apps--the Kobe sliders in particular were big enough to make a meal out of. I had the soup and salad combo which was huge! I could barely finish half of it. The baked potato soup was everything you'd want that type of soup to be, thick cheesy with tons of bacon (a tad salty but that's just me.) The Caesar's salad was nicely dressed. (I love a Caesar salad with tons of dressing, but if you don't I'd ask for the dressing on the side. So I'm not up this way much but if I am, I would definitely stop in here again!

This place is a giant chain sports bar. So if you're into that sort of thing, you'll like it. It's not my cup of tea, however. The staff was perfectly friendly, lots of TVs for sports-watching, and generic bar food. It's not a bad place, but there are so many more imaginative places to go. I guess I don't really have complaints, Champps is just really boring. I could definitely recommend it if you need a serious sports bar with giant burgers. I'll be hunting down a Mexican place instead.

Celebrated Mothers Day with a small group outing for dinner. We've been here numerous times and remember when the chain started in the Twin Cities a few years ago. The food was good, service was satisfactory and the cookie dessert excellent. Lots of big screen TV's going with baseball, hockey, golf, poker and more.

Descriptive phrase: THE place to watch a game. I've been to Champps in Brookfield a number of times, and it's one of those great places to go watch any sporting event you can imagine. This review, however, is about my recent lunch. I came here on a Friday around noon. There were a lot of people but we were seated immediately. It's really a big place. I ordered the lunch special (smaller version) Guac Burger ($8). It came out extremely fast. Quacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro, cheese, all on a burger. It mixed together so well, with the cool toppings offsetting the hot burger. The waffle fries were good too. Service was fast which is what I wanted at lunch hour, food was good, and the lunch-serving was the perfect size and price.

Ordered take out from my hotel room. Got a chicken salad with lots of fresh veggies and fruit. Also got the spiked chocolate cake. Good. Good value and good service. My order was exactly as I had ordered it.

Great people, horrible management/owner. I have been going there for 1-2-3 days a week for about 6 years and apparently because they messed up on my food for the 5th or 6th time in 6 years that is too much. In all honestly I think normally they are accurate, good tasting, and have always recommended. So while I think management is awful, I will promote staff and food. Lost a customer and all future recommendations. Sad.

Above average bar food. Great atmosphere. Kids really enjoyed it. Staff was excellent. Ice cream sundaes for kids were the best.

We love this place on Fridays for Martini night. All martini's are $5 and you must try the patron pomegranate. The food has always been good and the great service keeps us coming back. Do yourself a favor and ask for Stephanie to be your waitress.

This place is just incredible as in the food is INCREDIBLY tasteless. This has to be the most mediocre food I have ever had in my life. The entire experience was just disturbing to me. It's like it should be good, you want it to be good, your brain is expecting it to be good until it actually reaches your mouth and reality sets in. It's not good, it's not bad, it's just NOTHING! For an appetizer I had the Walleye Fingers and they were mega greasy and totally lacking taste, but no worries I made up for it by eating my napkin instead, it had way more flavor. Then for the main course I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi Tacos. OMG, unfortunately all I can say is more of the same. It tasted like something that a 12 year old kid would have made after finding the recipe off of the internet and then leaving out half of the ingredients. And hey, it's a 12 year old kid, I would have to give them 5 stars just for the effort, but this wasn't made by a 12 year old kid it was allegedly made by a chef in a restaurant. The Mahi Mahi was fishy fishy, the lettuce was old, the lemon cream sauce was horrible and the overall ensemble was just DRY and stale. It came with some black beans that were just way to hot n spicy, but I ate them anyway because I was so desperate to have some sort or taste in my mouth after this ordeal even if it meant setting my mouth on fire and bringing myself to tears. The only thing good about this meal was that they had the tacos placed in some sort of nifty taco holder. Other than that, lame city. Not to mention that my hands smelled fishy for hours after this, even after washing them a millions times. And NO! my hands did not already smell like that. I doubt very seriously that I will ever come here again. I work way to hard for my money to pay for a meal of such low quality. Not to mention I'm just getting way to old to leave the house for anything that is less than stellar, mediocre just doesn't cut it anymore. I was going to give this restaurant 3 stars because the waiter was really hot looking, but I didn't want to be guilty of reverse sexism so I did the right thing and gave it the 2 it deserved.

I moved to the Waukesha/Brookfield area about two years ago and I go here pretty often. Great beer menu, decent happy hour specials and the restaurant is huge, so you never feel cramped. I have an unhealthy obsession with buffalo chicken sandwiches, and this place is so-so. If you decide to go this route, I highly recommend you get the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich. It's excellent! The first time I came here, I got the fried/breaded buffalo chicken sandwich. It was overcooked and pretty difficult to bite through. I wondered if it was an anomaly, so I got it two more times after that. Same thing -- tough, chewy. Don't get it. You'll be angry you did. The rest of the menu is fantastic.

They always have great food and the bartenders are always super nice. I love watching football games at the bar because of all the TV's. Good play to also watch the ufc fights.

I've eaten here over a dozen times, always by others requests. It's glorified bar food, however if you like burgers, Americanized quesadillas, and chicken tenders, look no further! Loud music FYI so don't plan on having many conversations that go beyond, "Huh? What did you say?"

Huge place and fantastic for the sports fan. Where else can you go and watch one of 20 tv's while you eat. Menu has a big variety. Prices are a bit high. Wait staff was friendly and the place is always packed. Don 't get here often but had a good experience and will be returning.

Sunday specials...kinda like happy hour but happening all day long. Happy DAY special? I hate when I hear happy hour or specials and then discover it's not so happy. The drink special on Sunday was for 3 basic Budweiser products, isn't this a Miller state? I don't really drink either brand so I went with soda. Drink "specials" aside, it's still good for game day watching. There are so many televisions, which way do I look? We were splitting a few orders of wings, a 50 cent wing special. They are big wings too. Too often I've had wings where there is little to no meat on the bones, not these babies. Meaty! I liked the teriyaki wing sauce best. I ordered the Oriental chicken salad, it's my go to entree salad at Champps. I always get both dressings which come on the side, sweet & sour and the toasted sesame. The kids got balloons...but some how they always manage to get loose and wind up hanging from the ceiling.

Stopped here for lunch. $11 for a 2 piece cod fish fry. 1/2 piece of rye bread. Decent coleslaw. The Blue Cheese Potato Salad is still one of the best things I have ever had. The service here is always friendly. Not a bad place to get a meal!

Enjoying the Big Bloody Mary special $6.99, 25 oz drink on Sunday afternoon. Great sandwiches and burgers and the best hot wings in my opinion. Good selection of decent bar food with entrees too. Excellent salads and soup.

My second lunch at Champps with my sister. The first one was near Chicago. I'm not much for the sports bar scene but the food is very good. Waiter was a bit hard to hear with all the TV's and music but I just kept asking him to repeat until I understood what he was asking. I'd go again but it's a hard place to hold a conversation.

This CHAMPPS is so much better then the one near me....Lombard, Illinois. They have a much smaller menu, which allows them to do those items to perfection! The Loaded Potato Chips appetizer was spectacular and should be for 4 or more diners. This location also has the original Mongolian Egg rolls and Messy Sundae which no longer grace the Lombard menu. My fellow diner had the Roast Beef Melt and LOVED IT.

I have a two-pronged review: one part is about the restaurant itself, the other part is for their catering service at the Country Inn & Suites. The restaurant is just not to my taste, as I am not into sports and don't like watching television while I eat. This is no fault of the restaurant - the sports bar theme is a common and successful one, especially around here. I ate here for lunch with coworkers once and had a nice time, despite the restaurant being loud and busy (again, good for them, just not for me). I had the club sandwich which was HUGE and I took about 3/4 of it home. Not bad for a $7 entree. The food and value were good, but the atmosphere makes it a restaurant I wouldn't tend to frequent if it were up to me. Just how it is. The service was quick and friendly, and the waitress was good about splitting our checks even though we were not a huge group. Now the catering service, on the other hand... phenomenal. I would give them 10 points, if I could award that many. The catering food is prepared by their own chef, and it is delicious. The manager Rob has been excellent. Friendly, attentive, quick to respond, answers to all our questions. Their event catering menu is flexible, extensive, and can be adapted to any event. They have fair and competitive pricing, and offer a tremendous value for what you pay. We just had our tasting yesterday, and we had selected the Roast Strip Loin, the Roast Prime Rib of Beef Au Jus and the Lasagna, since we were trying to pick 2 of the 3 for our buffet. Man, were we blown away! We arrived at Champps at 3:00 on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet (which was nice). Rob had our table already set up with place settings and he came out to greet us. He introduced us to Kim, the other manager we may be working with, as well as Courtney, our fantastic server, Tony, another manager, and honestly there may have been a few other people who came to greet us who I can't recall, I'm sorry to say. Everyone was super nice to us and we were treated like royalty! The Roast Strip Loin was to die for - melt-in-your-mouth, tender, juicy, buttery, garlicky... scrumptious. The Strip Loin was served with a plateful of roasted redskin potatoes, which were also fabulous. They actually tasted like maybe they'd been seasoned with cumin, which was a delightfully delicate surprise. The Prime Rib was also very tasty but compared to the Strip Loin, the choice was obvious. The Prime Rib was served with a plateful of the green beans almondine, which were very flavorful and crisp but not under-cooked. The Lasagna was great as well - very very soft, and the meat layer tasted like a meatball on its own but then as you chew the flavor of the sauce and cheese rose up to meet it. Yum. After all this, Rob offered to buy us lunch off the regular Champps menu! We were so full we had to politely decline, however he talked us into a dessert to go, which we thoroughly enjoyed later that evening. We got the trio, which came with a cookie with ice cream, a piece of chocolate fudgey cake, and a slice of cheesecake with various toppings. It was adorable how Rob packaged all the toppings and the ice cream in little separate cups surrounding the primary desserts. If the catering menu desserts are anything like the restaurant desserts I'm sure we can't go wrong with any of those, either! Toward the end of our tasting, our event coordinator from the hotel popped in to say hello as well and we ended up having a quick tour of the recent updates to our banquet room. Along with the Country Inn & Suites, Champps will take care of you - included in our banquet package is the place settings, the soda and milk and coffee and tea, two buffet choices plus 5 sides/salads, a dessert, the linens, the chairs, the tables, the coat rack, the microphone, the podium... we only have to pay $30 for a set of speakers. Really wonderful gem.

Several summarizing statements: Champps is definitely a sports bar. If you're looking for a packed place to drink beer and eat appetizers and watch the big game with your buddies and a ton of other people, Champps isn't a bad place to go. If you're looking for average food for average prices and with average service (not bad, just not spectacular), and don't mind the loudness of all the aforementioned sports fans, then you won't mind Champps. I just feel it could be better. Don't get me wrong - I enjoy watching the game on their millions of tv's and drinking a beer or three, but I feel that just because a place is a sports bar doesn't mean they should let their food suffer. Again, it isn't bad, there's just so much room for improvement here!
