Pho Tai Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Pretty good but not as good as the one in Lacey. I won't say that I am a pho genius, but this pho was average, which is kind of unexpected for it's general location. I would have got a bubble tea like I normally do but the pho kinda set me off. It is really hard to find a good pho place. I won't say that I won't go back to this place but it's not high on my list.

Poor customer service.. I asked for a fork and the lady you can get up and get it yourself there. Worst part is that it wasn't even busy. Not going back

This is theee BEST Pho Tai restaurant I've been to with excellent food!! I loved the shrimp spring rolls with the peanut sauce, the seafood soup, and the beek teriyaki was pretty good! Dining in the OC (Cali) where there are many Pho Tai places to choose from, you gotta come to this place if you're in the area...it's awesome!!! Thanks Rachelle for introducing us to this place!!

I enjoyed the best of #41 in its Tukwila store (on Southerner blvd) with real flavorful soup (no hint of MSG) and plenty of tendon to make me happy, clean place and wait staff that spoke good English, as compared to its worst pho franchise in the world in Fife, WA. The chain should be made aware of this operator in Fife and go clean house. I will never go back to its Fife franchise as long as these people and staff are there! The franchisor of Pho Tai should be told of its problems in fife to not ruin the reputation of its good store as the one in Tukwila.

I've only came here a couple of times. I usually get vermicelli bowls but today I got pho. First of all, most places usually lets you customize your pho so I asked the waiter if I can customize. He had no idea what customize was so I asked if I can just have brisket and tripe. He says okay. When my bowl comes, I find that it was just steak in my bowl and no tripe at all. My receipt says number 7 (steak and tripe). If they don't have brisket, that's fine. I had to tell one of the ladies that there is no tripe in my pho. When she brings a bowl of tripe, she said they thought tripe was only for my friend's order. Yes he has tripe in his order but so does mine... I later find a piece of hair in my food. It was a small hair so it was not a big deal. Most people would probably freak out. The broth was pretty bland, now I know why I never order pho. Service is good but can't say the same for the pho. Pho is all about the broth. The lady gave my friend a dirty look for not tipping. We felt that they didn't deserve it. It sounds horrible and rude but our experience could have been better... Just saying...

The whole experience was mediocre. To start off me and my friends sat down, got our menus, ordered. Very typical Vietnamese service but after it went all down hill from there. We Ordered A Pho Tai (Steak) with a side of Hanh Yum(Onion Vinegar), Chicken Teriyaki with extra chicken, and Chicken Katsu with a side of Bun(Vermicelli). When the food came out we got our main entrees but none of the sides that we ordered. after asking three different times we got our sides. Now to get to the food, the Pho Tai was pretty standard nothing to special but the Hanh Yum on the side had NO vinegar at all so it was pretty plain. The chicken katsu presentation was horrible, the side of bun was badly made(Too Sticky), but tasted surprisingly OK. Last but not least the chicken teriyaki, the food was actually tasted pretty good, the only problem I had was at the end of the meal when I put my plates all together so cleaning up would be easier for the staff, my friends noticed the ridiculous amount of oil they used for the teriyaki sauce. That was such a disappointment. Overall if your looking for a bite to eat then don't be surprised by the bad service and Alright food. If that doesn't bother you then this MIGHT be your place, but I wouldn't recommend it.

This is place just average. Pho is something that I thought cannot be messed up. But the beef you get at the place is really lacking and the broth is not as flavorful as I'm used to. The price was cheap though.

    (3)
  • Dana M.

Food and price are decent...not good enough to make you want to come back... BAD SERVICE! No smiles, no welcome, no good.

  • Gavin N.

Came in here for some quick Pho while my family was here. Quick service, good pho, good prices. Bubble Tea available along with many other typical Vietnamese rice and noodle dishes (although no Ban Xeo...sorry folks) other than Pho. If i'm craving Pho and around South Center this will definitely be my stop. ~G

i've walked past this place numerous times, heading to bai tong. this is the first time i've actually ventured in. not the friendliest staff in the world, but it's clean, there is a big parking lot and the broth was tasty. the portions are a bit smaller and there might be a little less meat. the condiment plate also might not have had the freshest thai basil too. still, it was fairly tasty and it came quick. when it comes to pho, i'm not looking for white tablecloths or engaging conversation. it's about the broth and this one passed the muster.

When you feel a craving, you satisfy it. Pho! Me want pho now! So, I just got done at the gym and figured I'd go for something I've not had in awhile. So, where can I find me some pho within walking distance.... Ladee dadee daaa... Pass by Sizzler, poke inside Miyabi, glance at Mayflower chinese---ah! Pho Tai! In I go. Pretty nice place I like. Soft lighting from the modern simplistic chandeliers. Cool, clean, bold contrast with the dark cherry/dark red/mahogeny toned chairs and wood frames. Sandstone colored walls and floor tiles which aren't too small nor big. Perfect wall pho pictures balance. Darn good shape for its age. I just got #18. Some dark sauce (forgot what it is lol), chili sauce, and pepper. Num num num.. *adds more pepper, etc.* Num num num.. *more!!* Numnumnumnum---.... awwwwww. gooooood.

maybe it's just me, but this is the second pho place i've been to and they got the noodles exactly how i like them! thin and chewy :) i had the small chicken pho and it was just to my liking. the chicken pieces were majority white meat and the broth was really flavorful. there's really nothing else i can say except that it was good. nothing really outstanding and nothing really horrible (which is why i gave it three stars). the service is pretty good and the place seems pretty clean. parking should be no problem as there's a big lot right outside. and if you're craving pho after you finish shopping at southcenter, it's right around the corner.

    (3)
  • Mazz L.

I come here often as I find this south center branch better than other Pho Tai branches and nearby competitors in service and food quality. Pho noodles broth is flavorful with very generous amount of meat and everything. Service is always accommodating especially for kids. Ice milk coffee is usually very strong and flavorful until recently - they are really cutting back on this one adding a lot less condensed milk and coffee was only filled to barely 70% of the cup given the full cup of ice! For over $4 , it's very stingy portion compared to other pho places for ice milk coffee. I no longer order this at every meal due to this change. Their rice noodle salad with grilled pork and egg rolls are always very flavorful in big portion. Overall, a pretty good place to frequent as its close to my home too.

Pho Tai Review: Plus: Lots of Meat in the Pho' Tai Minus: lack of flavor! Summer Rolls: Roll was room temp and hard.... Again the search for pho' is a never ending adventure.... :(

  • Jeff F.

I've been to Pho Tai a lot of times in the past, because there weren't any closer Pho options near bye. Pho = OK price OK quality, but small portions Setting = Typical plain setting for Pho restaurant Vietnamese Sandwiches = I use to like them a lot, but on my last take out order I found a curly lil hair. Disgusting. I know it's impossible to prevent a hair getting in the food 100% of the time, and all restaurants eventually/accidentally do that, but it's still disgusting. I'd rate Pho Tai 3 stars if it wasn't for the hair in the food. I'll probably check out What the Pho down the street in the future.

  • Lei W.

Beware. I walked into this place during one of my pho cravings and was sadly disappointed. The place didn't seem very clean which led me to not venture into their menu and stick with the chicken pho. Which was not good. The chicken in it was mostly dark meat, kind of chewy and I found a piece of tripe in my soup. Now, I am not a picky eater and I'll try anything once. But an unexpected piece of tripe floating in my chicken soup was not in the plan. No Thanks.

  • Brooke B.

I might have given 4 stars if the service was somewhat friendly. I never saw a smile on anyone's face and nobody asked how my meal was. It was alright, thanks for asking. :-) The prices were comparable and the selection was pretty good. I had the bun with egg roll and beef but I added grilled shrimp and a meatball. I was also disappointed that they didn't play traditional music, just top 20. At least it wasn't country.

I've been here a couple times, though I've gone to the one in Burien plenty of times. haha. This place isn't much different, though it's a bit cleaner. I've come on two week nights, so it isn't packed. I like their broth. Some say pho is pho, but every restaurant's broth is a bit different. I don't know what it is. I got the large 17. Yes, it put me to sleep. Can you drive me home? I can't drive on this full stomach.

  • Lori P.

We first tried this place a couple weeks ago and now go there once or twice a week. Tucked away in a strip mall it's inconspicuous and easy to overlook - but well worth visiting for lunch or dinner. The pho is probably the best we've tried and the teriyaki dishes are a nice change, too.

    (4)
  • Sandy L.

Although I'm not a huge pho fan, I do crave it after a long night! I always find it difficult to find a place that serves true vegetarian pho. My mom convinced me that the vegetarian pho is meat free and delicious. I must say, mom's are always right! The veggie pho was truly vegetarian and delicious. The only down fall is the 4 little pieces of tofu you get. Hope my fellow vegetarians will find this review useful.

  • Aubrey G.

I've eaten a lot Pho in my life time (too much! lol) This place is the best. Great flavor, lots of options, low prices and they even have really good teriyaki. I'm pretty sure they marinate the meat instead of just drenching it in overly sweet teriyaki sauce like most places. They also have a very tasty carrot beef stew if you'd like to try something new. It's not your moms beef stew ;)

  • Betty D.

Quick service, so you can't complain. I come here when I'm craving pho. You basically can be in and out in 20 mins or less. Their pho is flavorful and enough to feed one person off a small. Unless you have a big stomach you can go medium or large. I always get the usual, small pho tai (rare beef) with no onions. Can't be smelling like onions when I get back to work. Spring rolls are fresh and eggs rolls are good too. It's funny how the employees think I'm not Vietnamese; hearing all the things they say about others...and then they look at my debit card and see my last name and realize that I am....hehehe

  • Diane K.

I don't want to seem ungrateful when this place has helped me escape mall food hell with basic, fresh Vietnamese vermicelli bowls on quite a few occassions, but unfortunately it's still 2 star quality. If it's not a food emergency, drive 10min east on 180th to the Great Wall area and have some decent Vietnamese. Life is too short.

    (2)
  • Rachel F.

First and last time eating here. The restaurant wasn't the nicest I've been too, but that doesn't necessarily mean the pho will be bad. I've been to some questionable places with great pho! The staff here barely acknowledged my existence. I got a small chicken pho and the meat was brown and grizzly and the noodles were already soggy. The broth was decent and the price was low. For those reasons alone I give it a 2

  • Janson L.

Update since 3/30/10. I noticed yelp has not posted my previous mediocre -3star review...hmmm. Anyway, I came back to this place to give it another try, but the quality has gone kaputz. Too much noodle and the brooth and meat is flavorless. I guess this will be a last option for lunch now.

This review includes the Fedreral Way Pho Tai too.....Both are excellent!!! I have ate Pho at sooo many places and you'd think it would be impossible to screw up but that is not the case. I have ate BAD PHO...Here however, it is perfect everytime. Priced right, good size portions and their fresh spring rolls are delicious. My only complaint is on occasion they do not rinse the poop from the schrimp in the rolls and that is gross. Service is fast and always friendly....Definately try this place when in the mood for PHO....

  • Ken L.

I'm not sure if the establishment is now under new management, but I used to love this place! I'm assuming it's under new management because the pho tastes different and the wait staff is new. When I used to go here there was always the same wait staff, who always provided me with excellent service and great tasting food. Now with this new wait staff things are a bit different and the food doesn't taste as good as it used to - and the service is also not that great. Regardless,I think it's the best pho restaurant in the Tukwila/Southcenter area (sure beats Cafe Pho in the mall and What the Pho). It's not as good as it used to be, but it's also not that horrible. If you don't want pho, I would recommend ordering one of their vermicelli bowls or a rice plate - which have yet to fail me.

    (3)
  • Jamie B.

Foods good, the staff acts like your doing something bad to them by making them wait on you. The people at the Burien one are more friendly.

I'd give it a 1/2 if I could. Today I had the chicken fried rice. Now i am sick, i' m not going back.

    (1)
  • C C.

I've had better Bun. The chicken was grilled ( yeah), but it was grilled on a dirty grill with many days of grilling meat. The chicken had black grilled leftover chunks coating the freshly cooked chicken. It gave it a very dirty, burnt charcoal taste ( nasty). I used my fish sauce dip to try & wash the black bits off the chicken. It helped a little. Mushy egg roll, no tea serviced to me, but serviced to other tables upon arrival. I doubt I'll go back.

  • Scot K.

For me three stars means that it is average. I've been to this restaurant numeous time and it is a decent pho place. Not great, but when you want some pho and are in the Southcenter area, you don't have a lot of options. The ownership seems to have changed and the service is not as good. If you don't want to leave the area, this place will do. If you want better pho, take a road trip.

Before I get on the plane to come back to the Bay, I always try to make it a point to come here to get the avocado pearl shake. If you like avocados, and any of you familiar with the avocado and condensed milk (OMG, I love that stuff), you will love the Avocado Shake with Pearls. You just have to ask to have it sweet and it's perfect. :) The food is pretty decent. I've had Pho here a couple times and it was ok. I love Vietnamese sandwiches, but the one here isn't that good. The avocado pearl shake is enough to make me come here. :)

who knew there was so many pho restaurants in seattle? we were craving some pho in the morning, so a quick search on the gps lead us to this place. from the outside and inside it looked authentic, kind of run down looking, the way i like it! my mom ordered in vietnamese, she looked at us like she didn't understand a word...thats cuz they're korean owned! never been to a pho place that is owned by a family of koreans.... surprisingly the food was VERY fresh, the bean sprouts and mints were clean, soup was good (no msg), noodles were just right. this was the first restaurant we ate at in seattle so we didn't know if its its restaurant or a seattle thing...later found out seattle has decent food!

  • Ken N.

For the few reviews below three stars, I guess I'm surprised, but I suppose it is what you try. If you like some of the more different meat combinations, I like this place a lot. For example, the beef tendon at this place is ALWAYS soft. Many of the Pho places it is not cooked enough and can be at times very chewy our tough. For my wife and I, this place is our favorite and we frequent many different pho restaurants. I also recommend the Carrot Beef stew. Very tasty soup base and you probably won't find it at any of the other Pho places. Make sure you try it with noodles and soup (pho style) and not with rice.

All I know is that coming from San Francisco and arriving in Seattle is weather shock for me. Naturally, I am a sun baby, and if it weren't for my some of my family being up there, then I would not have much of a reason for visiting. However, I would like to say that the weather up there is perfect for a good bowl of hot Vietnamese soup. The soup here is delicious. It is flavorful and not too salty. This is the perfect comfort food for Seattle weather in case you haven't tried this kind of soup. It's always good to know that Vietnamese pho' is available in Seattle.

Food is edible but definitely not worth a second go. Pho is below average compared to anything near the Great Wall Mall. My wife got the Pho and I got one of the rice dishes and we were still starving afterwards. Spend the extra 6 minutes to drive over to the Great Wall Mall and have better Vietnamese food.

I've been coming here on and off for 5 years, and food is always good, service is what you would expect from a pho restaurant. We came on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was almost full. Probably a handful of open tables left. For the most part, it's self seating, or if you're uncomfortable self seating, just stand there and they will tell you to have a seat. Menus were brought over promptly, followed by water. You have about 2 minutes to look over the menu before the waitress came back and asked if we're ready to order. Just a FYI, this is VERY typical, you go have pho to be in and out, don't expect 5 star service. I glanced over the menu and was glad to see they still have the crunchy & fatty brisket on the menu!! Not a lot of places have this! They also have a kids menu that includes a kid sized beef pho or a chicken teriyaki dish plush a soda for under $6. Food is good, noodles are perfectly cooked, not too soft & powdery or way too chewy. Broth was a little saltier than usual today, but by most people's standards, this just means lightly salted. It wasn't so much sweet as it was salty. Eggrolls are good sized, but spring rolls are a bit on the smaller side. I could probably finish in 4 bites. They also sell them by per piece, not order. My son and I left with our tummies warm & happy! Our check came to $22 after tax & tip for one small bowl, one kids bowl, 2 spring roll & 1 eggroll. Not too bad. They are actually one of the decently priced places in the area!!

  • Ken Y.

I come here pretty often. I like that it's not in the Eastside so prices don't have that special mark up. For a party of two, a couple of bowls of pho will run you about $16 - $17 after tax. I'm a little surprised by the complaints about poor service. I've had no major complaints but I think I may know who others reviewers are complaining about. I had the "good fortune" of getting one of those evil eyes when I asked for water for the table. However, for as many times as I have dined here, that was a really minor blip. The owner is very friendly. She always smiles and says hi to us, and asks us how we are doing. The pho here is yummmm. A large bowl is just about $8 and you get a hefty serving of both noodles and meat. The broth is also really, really, ridiculously flavorful. Sometimes I feel bad drinking a lot because I know they dropped a sodium bomb in it. But it's soooooo good. The pork banh mi is delicious here. The first time my brother-in-law tried it, he was floored. About half way through the sandwich he said, "This sandwich is awesome. I'm so happy right now." Haha you had to be there! The chicken is also really good. You can't go wrong either way.

  • Vicky M.

No. No no. Looks like a typical pho place, nothing special. I ordered the chicken pho and when it came it looked delicious! When I tasted it that we a complete different story. It had such a strange taste, I just couldn't even take another bite. I have eaten at a ton of different pho places and I know what the broth usually tastes like. Bottom line, I think they use some different recipe or ingredients and I didn't like it period! Won't be coming back here.

    (1)
  • Ken S.

My wife and I come here because it's never really crowded. The food comes out pretty quick. Pho is hit and miss though. Some days it tastes better than other days. Been to other pho tai restaurants, this one seems the best out of the others in terms of service. Check out the photos for the menu.

Review for their sandwiches. Ordered tofu sandwich, it took a little bit longer to come out..... THE BEST SANDWICH EVER. Thoroughly toasted, good serving amount of everything inside. Jalapeño, tofu, sauce, daikon, carrot... AMAZING. This place has the best, take it from me.

  • Rykiel E.

Stuck between giving this place a 3 or 4. I came down by myself to cure a hangover before work, so it was close by! I've never been here but I always knew it was here. I'm surprised at everyone's reviews! Maybe they have new owners? I had great service here! The older woman was very welcoming. The place is very clean and I can smell the sanitizer they used to wipe the tables and chairs. It even looks like they took the time to wipe down the sauce bottles at all the tables!. The food came out super fast, I waited less than 5 minutes. The veggies were pretty fresh. There are wooden disposable chopsticks next to the regular plastic ones? Not sure what it's more.. For kids.. Preference... Germophobes? Idk but it's kinda nice. The small bowl had a lot more noodles than I expected. The broth isn't overbearingly salty like many other pho places. Could be a good and bad thing; less MSG, mineral tasting, but also makes the noodles taste bland (maybe I just have a problem with the noodles idk). The meat here is gooood. Best brisket I've had at any other pho place. I wouldn't go out of my way, but I wouldn't mind coming here in the future.

  • Kirstie C.

This is not bad for Vietnamese food, especially when the other restaurants are way too crowded and you're hungry. I had the vermicelli bowl and I wish they had more variety in options for the type of items to go on top, though I'm sure you could customize it but have to pay more. They put way too many bean sprouts in in though so that was kind of a downer. I also wanted to order their durian shake but of course they said they didn' have any. I've had their pho there before and it was decent. I did enjoy their beef carrot stew dish especially with the french baguette I picked to eat it with. I would go back here if it is convenient but this isn't my first pick for Vietnamese food.

  • Michael G.

It's ok, no more no less. It's a slightly cheaper option then close by What the Pho, which led me to have lunch here. A nice option is they actually serve Cafe Sua with a french press, which I know... sounds crazy not to but it happens in this area. At LEAST a three star for this and a pretty accommodating male server. Got my usual, pho gau, no noodles and couldn't complain about the taste if I tried to think of something. It's worth a lunch visit in this area.

Worst service ever. We had a group of 5, and the service was TERRIBLE. I understand that if you're the only waitress working and there are 5+ tables, then you can be stressed and not as good service wise, but this was BAD. - waitress started collecting our menus (grabbing from our hands) before we were done looking at it / ordering. - she didn't smile once. Always giving us dirty looks, as one reviewer said, for no reason. - MOST WORST THING IS THAT SHE SAID THERE WAS NO MORE TAPIOCA LEFT. But guess what? A couple came in after us and got their boba before us WITH tapioca. - we asked for our bill 3 times before my aunt decided to just go up there - TONS OF HIDDEN CHARGES. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! Review on food: - the pho broth had no flavor - the meat balls were tough, old, and tastes of freezer burn - tough steak - soft tendon though! So that's good. Bottom line: not good pho place service or taste wise

  • Danielle K.

Terrible experience at this place. Every single spoon at the table was dirty. The waitress was very rude for no reason. The food was your average vietnamese in the area but def not worth the hostile environment! After the meal, I forgot my cell phone at the table and went to the bathroom. When I came out, the table was cleared but no one stopped me on my way out. When I went back the waitress gave me a bitchy look before handing over my phone. Just horrible.

Just your typical chain pho restaurant. I've never had a problem with my food or service when I've been here. When I order to-go, whether in person or over the phone, they are super fast! Out of all the Pho Tai restaurants that I've been too (Southcenter, Burien, Federal Way), I think their broth is the best.

  • Trent H.

Even though I don't live near by any and every time I am in the area I make it a point to stop here and fill myself up. The ladies behind the counter are always welcoming with smiles which is a nice change of pace. What sets this pho restaurant apart from other restaurants is that the tables, floors, and chairs are actually clean and not sticky. Also everything on the table has its place and is organized (thank you!) As for food I don't have a regular order I like to mix it up but I would say the go to is a small brisket and flank #40, steak and flank #5, or the steak and meat balls #3 add a side pork bahn mi. If you're not hungry enough for a bahn mi ask for a small side of salad, I don't know what, how, or where its made but I would buy a Costco sized container of the dressing and eat it every day. All in all welcoming, clean, great food, with great prices 5 out of 5.

This is probably one of the best Pho Tai place out of ALL of the Pho Tai that I've been too. Owner was friendly but some staffs need more work and some were rude but what do you expect when going to an Asian restaurant. I had two staff plus the owner coming to my table to bring food over. 1st staff was nice, she got the order correct and brought out everything else. 2nd staff was rude, we ask for tea plus water with a straw for a child but never received it and was giving an attitude. Finally, the owner came and brought it to us right away after we asked her. Overall, it's a hit or miss on the staff service and food was decent. It's not the best pho that I had but it's definitely the best out of all the Pho Tai locations that I've been too. I'll come back here but it won't be my first choice to go to for pho.

Stopped in with my BF for dinner. We were looking for chicken teriyaki. The sauce didn't taste very good, and the salad was just sliced cabbage with a sliver of carrot, but it was cheap and fast. Not much chicken, and my gyoza was somewhat burnt. The gyoza didn't taste like anything except burnt wraps so after 1, I couldn't eat the rest. The server kept our water glasses full, and she was very speedy with taking our order and delivering the food. There isn't any kind of atmosphere in the place. All I can recall are white walls and 2 pictures of food on the wall. Slim to none of a chance of returning, simply because there are a lot of teriyaki and Vietnamese places to go where the food is a lot better. Food: 1 Service: 3 Ambiance: 1 Parking: 4

My boyfriend and I are frequent customers! We've pretty much tried most of the things on their menu but our favorite is the BBQ spare ribs rice plate. It comes with rice, ribs (obviously), salad, broth, over easy egg, and shredded pork all for about nine to ten dollars! I think they recently changed their menu because the last few times we ordered it, they didn't include the egg and shredded pork :( We went there yesterday though and requested to have everything on the plate. They were able to do it, so that's a good thing! The dressing that goes with the salad is to die for! I always ask for extra so that I can dip some of my BBQ in it. LOL. My boyfriend and I come here way too much that most of the staff know who we are and always make some light conversation with us. I know some people have stated that they think the customer service sucks but whenever I go there, I really have nothing to complain about! Another thing that we love about this place is their mango bubble tea and tapioca. Their tapioca is cooked just right and it isn't hard to chew like some places that serve it. I used to work in a bubble tea place and we made tapioca all the time, so I'm pretty familiar when it gets overcooked or under cooked. This is definitely our go to place when we're craving some quick and easy Asian food!

Ordered large chicken pho. Mix of dark and white meat. Basil was skimpy and not so fresh. So so for Pho.

Friendly staff, good service. I had a large veggie pho. They could've added a little more noodles for a large. Veggie broth not very tasty and the veggies didn't taste fresh - maybe a little over cooked.

I've alway ordered Vietnamese noodle salad but this time I ordered chicken katsu. It's the worst chicken katsu I've ever had. Chicken was hard and sticky. Not going back again.

Rating is based on service or lack there of. Never actually got to eat or place an order. We waited 15 minutes, watched three other tables that came in after us get their orders taken before us. The waitress walked past us several times without acknowledging our presences, finally gave up and just walked out.

My family stopped by for breakfast while on vacation (cuz IHOP was jammed packed) and the pho ( chicken and tai) was fantastic. The broth was savory and flavorful.

Not very friendly staff. But I got my take-out order quickly. Ordered Pho and paid for extra tendon. The size of the meal was really big! I was able to share the Large pho with my husband and we both were full! Will definitely go back soon!

Waiter thought he's cool enough to take down our order without writing it down. Seriously the longest I've had to wait for pho. Been sitting for a good 15 min before another waitress came back and asked is to "remind" her what we ordered. Total bull crap. Really bad service. How do you get a 2 person order wrong? 4 other tables that sat down after is got served before we did. The service here is definite not worth it.

I don't like Pho here. The soup very terrible and they have to much MSG. They not clean and too much funny I pay for the Pho and I just worry for so many people come here for the MSG soup. Never come back again

This my families go to pho spot. We rarely get bad service here. The ladies are nice. If you need affordable dinner in a pinch, this is it.

Food is ok but rude service and there is always something in my cup of water. This is probably one of the dirtiest photai I've been to. Go to a different one if you can.

I don't come here regularly for lunch because it's quite far from where I work in Bellevue. But around South Center, it's probably the best Pho. Pho Tai has many locations around Greater Seattle and I have been to several place. This place looks quite new (or maybe they cleaned well). The waitresses are nice and friendly. They served very quickly too. I can just walk in and order before I even sit down. By the time I remove my jacket, they already bring out a hot bowl of pho. Today is especially cold (in 20F range) so pho is perfect! Highly recommend if you take a day off and shop around South Center, just swing by here for a quick lunch.

I had their vermicelli rice noodle with fresh vegetables and shrimp and pork. This was just what I needed with a nice balance of meat to carbs after my workout. I would come back here when I stay at a hotel near the SeaTac airport and paying for my own meals as its healthy and tasty enough for me to return, The ambience is just okay and could use some sprucing up,

This joint really went downhill from when I used to frequent it in 2009. Today I was greeted by a Vietnamese male waiter that obviously had a chip on his shoulders. When my friend ordered the seafood phō it came with two shrimps. Very small one I should say. When I politely mentioned to the waiter I saw his female mate go back in the kitchen and watched as it seemed that the French Revolution had suddenly exploded in the kitchen. The request to add a few more shrimps was taken as a declaration of war on humanity - I would rather face an upset Mike Tyson wielding a medieval weapon made of snow in hell. Needles to say I didn't tip neither am I ever going there again.

I used to come here all the time, the best price/quality but their customer service SUCKS. They are rude and mess up orders, the last three times we came here there always was something wrong with what we ordered and they are never happy about fixing it. I felt very unwelcome today and will not come back. Time to find new places where they want my business.

This seems like a good typical pho restaurant. I haven't had pho in a while and only have another twenty minutes for my break but my pho came out quickly. I got a steak, brisket, and soft tendon small with a special vietnamese combination beans my total bill is 9.99 not yet including tip. Not too bad for a full tummy on a rainy day :)

Broth had great flavor, but the steak and brisket (tai chin) were both dried out. The broth is fully flavored - beefy with all the right notes. Amazing how hard it is to find places that get this right, it's the most important part! Recommended if you're in the area and in need of a convenience bite.

Decided to try this place out today with a friend who had recommended it. It was very empty and quiet and at first the service seemed alright. Their service was quick but the broth was so flavorless I felt like I was eating a bowl full of water. It was plain and the meat was very dry. On top of that, my friend found hair in his food. We weren't looking for a refund, or new food, we just wanted to let the staff know. However, when my friend told our server about the hair as she rang us up, the lady didn't say ANYTHING. she just smiled and ignored us. My friend repeated himself about the hair a few more times and she didn't say anything. She only told us our total. And on top of that, she practically insulted us because we asked for the bill to be split. The two of us are Vietnamese, and she spoke to us in Vietnamese laughing saying that "it's an American way to ask for separate checks. Vietnamese people always pay for each other"

Unfortunately I have to report that this is just another sub par Vietnamese restaurant. Very little emphasis on customer service with "meh" food. Far from the best, but it's alright considering the location next the mall and all of it's fellow "meh" pho local competitors. I legitimately felt ignored the entire time. And even felt like I was a burden when I asked for a desert menu. I asked for a recommendation and she just pointed at the fridge at the front of the restaurant. What a joke! My favorite vietnamese desert was in a cup with saran wrap over it. Ugh... Major turn off.

I was in the mood for some pho and this was the closes place to my work. It seemed really nice in the inside, I was able to sit down the waiter was very quick to come out and take my order. Then with in no time they had brought me my food. This was really nice since I was on my 30 min lunch. So I was able to get my good and eat with in that time limit. Although there shrimp roll only had two little shrimp in it. That was the only thing I didn't like. Food was great though.

I visited this place only because the thai place next door was packed. The spring roll and peanut sauce were good but the pho was very average. Thankfully the broth was not loaded with cilantro. On the plus side, the food arrived VERY quickly. Like speed of sound fast. Now they just need to channel that energy into making the pho more delicious instead of ordinary.

Originally, we were going to go to Bai Tong Thai Restaurant but there was a 20 minute wait. Pho Tai was severely lacking in quality in all areas. Service was rude. Every request seemed like a chore. Servers constantly barking to each other and BBQ short ribs was old and quantity was basically one strip cut up to make it look like more than actuality. BBQ Chicken was obviously microwaved. The fried rolls were packed with MSG. The spring roll sauce was way too sweet. And to top it off, our orders came in less than 5 minutes which means there wasn't any actual cooking involved. So avoid this place at all cost. I normally don't write reviews but this place is so bad that it would be a disservice to everyone if I didn't write about our experience. So that 20 minute wait for Bai Tong would've been well worth the wait.

I am a regular here. Their meat is so juicy and soft... Just melts in your mouth. Others can not compare. I would prefer the place to be a little cleaner. But other than that I am a fan of the delicious food.

This is average Pho...and to be honest, giving it three stars is SLIGHTLY (very slightly) above what I would like to give them. First of all, the service is very friendly here. And I used to think the pho here was great when I first found this place several years ago. However, since that time, I have had lots of pho in lots of places around the world, so I can assure you that this pho is only average. My last order was a flank steak and tripe pho. While there was a decent amount of tripe (which was also tender and quite good), the beef really lacked...only a few pieces, and it had no flavor at all. The broth is decent - not overly salty, but also lacking in flavor just like the beef. The extras (bean sprouts, basil, etc.) come in a huge quantity and taste fresh and flavorful...best part of the whole pho dish? Prices are dirt cheap for the quantity you get...but they should be when most of the contents are filler and not protein.

They have alright gyoza. It was odd though because they served it with a SWEET orange sauce instead of the savory soy/hoisin/garlic sauce. More info (SPECIFIC info on individual food items). You can see what items I reviewed there (including pics!): nosh.com/restaurant/1108…

I used to really like the Pho Tai chain, about 2-3 years ago. Lately, I've been able to find better spots with flavorful broths. We were in the area looking for Halloween costumes and I didn't feel like driving in the pouring rain all the way to Renton.. Hence why I just came here. Bad idea. I've came to this location a couple times before and it was pretty good but this time was not up to par. The broth was fairly bland and the noodles were too soft like it had been sitting there for awhile. I did get A LOT of noodles but next to no meat. I had asked to omit the steak like I normally do wherever I go because I prefer brisket and some other stuff. They didn't give me steak, but they also didn't put any other meat except some soft tendon and bits of tripe. My meal wasn't very pleasant. I ate as much as I could just because I was paying for it but in no way satisfied. Maybe I should have just went across the street to Mc Donald's.. I'd at least get something tasting okay. Or next time, don't settle.

*shrugs* Meh kinda pho. Meh service. I'm more in favor of the Pho Tai in Federal Way if anything. If I do come here for pho, it's mostly because I'm also doing a thrift store and book store trip, which is in the same plaza. Sacrifice quality and customer service for convenience. I've come here multiple times, and almost every time I get less than expected from the servers. The pho is a little less than average as well. Not much meat and the noodles are never quite consistent. One time my noodles were super overcooked that they kept breaking on my chopsticks. Like I said before though, convenience.

Pho broth was below average. Noodles had distinct ammonia taste - like a wet rag. My friend ordered the chicken fried rice, and halfway through her meal, she found a little black curly hair - I can only guess where that came from. We completely lost our appetites so went up to pay and told the waitress. She just said "sorry" and still made my friend pay for her meal. They were willing to make a new plate for her, but did not offer a refund. We could not stomach getting another plate, so we paid and left. We will not be visiting there again.

Your craving that Vietnamese fix? Hold up.. Came here one afternoon because my girlfriend and I was feeling homesick and was fiending for some pho. I ordered the #18 Pho with Chicken and the "Supreme Combination Bean" drink because it was a scorcher and I was famished. 18. Pho with Chicken [ s3yelp3-a.akamaihd.net/b… Vietnamese chicken noodle soup.. the perfect cold cure! .. All except that I'm not sick. Pho Tai gives you large amounts of (only) dark meat chicken however, the broth tasted nothing more than water.. Supreme Combination Beans iced drink [ s3yelp3-a.akamaihd.net/b… Plain and simple, this is a bad imitation of the Three Colored drink you can get at most Vietnamese restaurants. I'm assuming Pho Tai renamed it to Supreme Combo Bean because it lacks about 2 vital ingredients in a Three Colored drink. Also, if you see from the picture, it was half full with ice cubes and it tasted pretty watered down. Overall, very disappointing.. Pho Tai offers cheap eats but the quality is severely lacking (if you've eaten a ton of pho in your life, you can distinctly tell the difference). I know for sure there are better Vietnamese restaurants out in Tukwlla, but we just wound up here..

Honestly, if you think this place is the BEST place you've ever had Pho, you've never had good pho. No offense. This place is okay. I'm always skeptical of places like this because I can just tell it's not going to be the best pho. It's a very simple place, but not the most traditional Pho restaurant. They didn't have Bun Bo Hue, but that's okay. I ordered the 17 pho and it was okay. The meat was most definitely tender, however, the broth was okay. It mosdef had MSG in it. You can instantly tell. It was a light broth, not too bad, but I adjusted it with hoison, and the srirachas. The small bowl was about $6. Not too bad, but I've had better pho. It's just okay. I've had better pho for cheaper, and better quality. if you're desperate, I'd say come here, otherwise, go to other places! PS. Service was fast though, but the server kept giving us really awkward stares.
