Service, Gratitude, Hospitality gets 5stars. Customer Service was spot on, wish I could say the same for their food. I had the four rib pack I was excited to dive in and eat. I was on the run so I had to take it to go. Once I took a bite of one rib it was dry and crunchy seemed like I was chewing on bark. Grabbed another piece then another my entire rib snack was bark covered in bbq sauce I couldn't believe how terrible the ribs were I was hoping for tender, fall off the bone deliciousness. But all I got was burnt pieces. The potato salad was the best thing but how can you mess that up. The cornbread muffin was dry & lacked moistness, and had an odd after taste. I would have driven back too complain but I was too far from the destination. From this experience it would be a hard sell for me to return. I would not suggest going here. It's sad to say because we do not have many soul food places in the region because a bulk of well known places i.e. Catfish Corner, Silver Fork, & Kingfish Cafe have closed their doors. Any advice would be for Southern Grill to taste their product before serving.
The oxtail here was totally worth the wait. The taste on the ribs was good, and I didn't have the dry experience the other reviewer did. I love southern food so finding this place near work seemed like a great pair up. Corn bread could use a bit of work as it was a bit dry. Yams were good and collared greens tasted just a bit too healthy, but still can't get enough of that kind of food.
I work nearby, called in a lunch order around 1:45 pm. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich w/potato salad. It was ready very quickly, went in and picked up my food. The place was clean, nice. The staff was friendly! The food was great! Delicious!! The sandwich was perfect. Will be back!!

Just. Wow. The food was awesome. We had a mix of quesadillas and enchiladas. All was wonderful. The green sauce for the enchiladas in particular was fantastic and the addition of pineapple in the enchilada filling was both awesome and inspired. Awesome.
We were looking for somewhere different to go for dinner when we stumbled upon this restaurant. In my attempt to order something light, I ordered the 4 tacos for $10.95 (the alternative was the wet burrito, so I consider this a success). I wanted to try a variety and ordered the cabeza, lengua, al pastor, and fish tacos. Each of the proteins were delicious and tender. The al pastor was packed with flavor and the fish (tilapia) was flaky. Each tortilla was topped with a generous portion of meat and eventually, the Asian in me told me forgo the rest of the tortillas in order to finish the protein. I washed the entire plate down with complimentary chips and salsa (with extra salsa options from the salsa bar) and a large glass of sweet horchata. My dining partner ordered the tamales which I had to try a bite of (yumm!) and we also ordered the churros for dessert; which my partner enjoyed, while I found them a little too dense. We were completely stuffed by the end of dinner. The service was great too and though they got extremely busy by the time we left, the two people working kept a smile on their face and made sure to check on us enough that we didn't feel neglected. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. I'll definitely have to come back for their HH.
It's OK. Restaurant is clean. Semi-authentic, poorly executed. Scoop and serve meals. Carne Asada was obviously sitting in a warming container, since it was hard and salty; almost like it had been reheated to prep tacos. I am used to restaurants cooking a fresh piece of meat and chopping it up for tacos. Enchilada sauce is flavorless...maybe from a can. Beans also flavorless.. can???. Rice was OK, but cold. Chips and salsa are also from a bag and jar. For the price and the quality of the food, I don't think I will be returning. Service was good! I travel quite a bit and rely on Yelp reviews for places to eat. Sometimes they miss the mark. I don't believe these reviews are fake, I just think these people have not had good quality Mexican food.

Checking this place because of the reviews. We did not order edomae sushi since they are popular for their fusion-style sushi. We had the sounders, white tiger, eel & avocado maki. We also had chawanmushi and takoyaki. The service is good. Staff is very knowledgable and helpful with maki choices. The food is good, not exceptionally delicious because the sauces on these sushi were heavy and over-empowering to our taste. The Japanese Worcester sauce on the takoyaki was thick and covered each balls. The batter was made with a little too much water . The chawanmushi is perfect. All in all, it was a good dinner and we enjoyed the experience.
I've been craving sushi for the past few days and was finally able to get some. I didn't really eat much today until about 3 so I was super hungry (ran errands and went for a run at Alki). My friend suggested Miyabi so we went. I got the blazing Godzilla, a super salmon roll and some sashimi. Both were just ok. Nothing really special about them. Not sure if I want to come back or not...
Great bar and great people. The chefs are top of the line and friendly. I always do dinner here when in town twice a year!! A must do!!!
