Healthy Meal suggestions for Outback Steakhouse

I had dinner with my wife's parents and Grandparents which created a kind of uncomfortable setting for me. When we arrived we were sat promptly and were offered beverages and presented with bread quickly. The table next to us were filled to the brim with twelve loud people who kept knocking over our bags and yelling at each other. We ordered meals which included side salads. Between the ordering and the delivery of side salads the table next to us presented a baby like a magic trick to the table. The baby had been quietly sleeping but when they woke up the baby it cried and cried. Yeah for us! Needless to say when our entrees arrived they were warm but not hot and the baby had been passed from person to person at the table. Positives: prompt service, polite server, organized menu and spacious tabling. Negatives: a little overpriced and warm but not hot entrees.

When you go to a steakhouse, order the steak. This is why I gave the rating 2 stars instead of 1 star. We went on a weekday. We were not offered or given a happy hour menu, even though it was 5PM. I ordered a beer. It came with a short pour. That is a bad way to first be served. I watched other beers getting filled to the brim. The baked potato came with toppings not ordered or wanted. But it was cooked fine and tasted great. The bill showed a $4 charge for one of the entree items included with the steak dinner. The error was fixed. The cobb pecan salad had maybe one pecan broken into 8 pieces. Insane. The bloomin' onion was blooming tasty, but really designed for four people. It is good to try once. A gift card tip: ALWAYS check the balance before trying to use a gift card. Whoever gave us the gift card I tried to use did not get it properly issued, and with no receipt available, I was SOL. Yes, the steak (sirloin) was excellent and cooked as ordered. Service was a bit slow, but nothing to fuss over. Overall, we had a bad experience today. I had hoped, after reading other reviews, that our time there would be fine because I thought the staff would work to make things better. Maybe they are, maybe they're not. For us, it was not.

I came here with my boyfriend and his family for his dad and sister's birthday. I asked the hostess if they do anything special for birthdays, and she told us that birthday guests get a dessert of choice on the house. At the end of dinner, our waitress told us that she would bring out sundaes for the birthday peeps. When I asked about the free any dessert on the house, she said that's not true and just left us. She did not apologize or make an effort to try and say they won't make the same mistake in the future with other guests. I thought the service was slightly rude considering we were told one thing at first and another thing at another time. She could have honored the free dessert of choice because they were already excited for it. The food left a lot to be desired for also. Though the portions were large and filling, none of our steaks were cooked correctly. A well done steak was still pink in the middle and our medium rare steaks were almost completely raw. It was also extremely chewy and sinewy rather than tender and melt in your mouth. I probably won't come back again unless it's requested by someone else.

I have been craving for some steak and its been some time so we came to Outback. I notice on Yelp its pretty much same from alot of cusyomers. We have received good Service from our carying server! The food's really was not as good what I'm used to especially steak that I have paid $20 and it came out flat and it look like for the bottom of my soul. I didn't even try it left it. My kid burger came out so pink it was not even funny! I left my plate alone and untouched. This was the worst food in a long time and I honestly won't be coming back for a long time. I didn't say one thing I payed my bill and left. Let's see if the management really cares

The Outback is another chain steakhouse. In my opinion, it's in the same category as The Sizzler, Black Angus, etc. I dine here couple of times a year because my husband is a fan. I usually order Ribs, Filet or Sirloin. The food has always been mediocre at best. PROS: Complimentary bread. The honey wheat bread loaf had always been very moist and fresh out of the oven. The butter cream spreads nicely on the warm bread. Chicken Wings. Probably the best thing that I've had here. The wings here are one of my favorite wings at any restaurant by far. They use a variety of spices to season it and there's a good kick to it without being too spicy. Portion size. The steaks and other entrees come with two sides so they feed you well here. Service. Pretty good and attentive service. I haven't encountered anything negativity from their servers. There's also an electronic portable monitor display at each tableso if you wanted to order anything extra, you could do so without waiting for your waiter. Pretty neat idea. CONS: Food quality. If you want a good piece of steak then I recommend going to a higher end steakhouse. It might be pricey but at least you get your moneys worth. I've never been satisfied with any of their steaks. It always tasted like it was previously frozen. They also lack flavor and seasoning. My last experience I ordered a caesar salad as one of my side it was very poorly mixed. There were still chunks of dressings present. The romaine lettuce tasted as if it was starting to wilt. I never feel like I'm getting my moneys worth after dining here.

Ordered meals to go and half of the food was forgotten. Paid over $60 for 2 meals and sides were missing. Steak was way over cooked. I've been to this location several times and each time gets worst and worst. They seem to always be short staffed and never get the orders right.

We eat at this Outback frequently and 99% of visits have been perfect. The seasoning used on steaks is delicious and steaks cooked right on. Once it was not and the server immediately rectified. Service is fast and friendly, food is tasty. My out of town guests are always impressed.

Ordered a $29 bone in rib eye, ordered it medium well, it came out medium rare. Not even close. Won't be returning.

I haven't been here in many, many years until I was recently in the bar. It was the first time I've seen little order terminals at the tables. You can order, pay, and everything with minimal human interaction. Because, you know, the last thing I want to do when I go out in public is talk to other people. I opted not to use their depressing contraption and parked myself at the bar. Service was very slow and impersonal, even though there were few people there. My margarita was okay; definitely not the best I've had, but not quite the worse either. The bloomin' onion we got as a snack wasn't like how I remember them from the past. It was extra greasy and not overly pleasant at all.

First of all, I've never been a fan of Outback but after my experience last night, I'm a fan. I've been wanting some good chicken strips and heard theirs are great so I tried chicken strips at a steak restaurant and very glad I did. they were perfectly crispy juicy chicken breast strips. They gave me some great honey mustard dipping sauce and I also asked for some BBQ sauce too. The BBQ sauce was great being a great combination of sweet and hickory smoke. My friendly and informative waitress told me they make the chicken strips in house and mix the BBQ sauce on site. They are some of the best chicken strips I've ever had, period. I look forward to my next visit.

Had a great visit to this Outback. Both my wife and I ordered steaks and both were cooked perfect and had zero fat to trim. One nice touch was a new terminal similar to a tablet at each table. You could order your entire meal from that tablet or an extra beer. You can also pay your bill and add a tip right on the tablet. No more waiting for your waitress who sometimes has mentally moved on to the next table by then. This tablet probably shaved 10 minutes off our visit. The only thing to be careful of is that games are not free (after the first two plays). Don't just give the tablet to your five year old or you might have a bigger bill than you expected :). If Outback is listening I would recommend just making these "games" free. It may seem like an opportunity to earn some extra revenue, but most people will just play games for free on their iPhones. Just my 2 cents. Everything else about our dining experience was typical for an Outback Steakhouse. We'll certainly be back.

The steak quality is the best! You obviously go here only for steak! It is better in rare but it more of optional, stone grill pr wood fire are both good, but the stone grill has more flavor. The bread here serve free and it is heavenly good, free refill! Steaks are awesome! Services are really nice.

We ate last night. Had the portobello mushroom filet mignon. Both steaks were cooked to perfection. Mine was prepared rare which is far trickier than any other method. My hat's off to the chef. The star of the show was our server, Vanessa. She was friendly, fun, attentive, and speedy. She filled our glasses before they were empty, checked on us without being a bother, and was just a nice person. She is the model server and should be a trainer!

I eat at Outback because, as a general rule of thumb the quality of the food and service is consistent throughout the chain, all across the country. Tonite was no exception. I had the Victoria's cut filet and lobster tail. The steak, (6oz) was cooked as I ordered it and the lobster tail (4oz) was steamed and very tasty. My side was steamed broccoli which was cooked perfectly. Started with a blue cheese wedge salad which was fresh and served cold, the way I like it. Service was good, and this restaurant featured the new electronic terminals at each table that allowed me to pay the tab without having to give my card to the waitress. All restaurant's should have this. A good dining experience overall for this business traveler.

No baked potatoes!?! Really? Isn't this a staple at every so-called steakhouse? Apparently, this isn't the first time this location has come up short. Do not recommend it.

Steaks were gristle, hard to cut and cooked wrong per our request. The blooming onion never showed and we had to ask for it to go when the server offered it for free. The manager asked us if everything was ok, but a bit late since we had already filled up on mediocre potatoes and under cooked veggies. What a horrible experience. This is also our 2nd time going there in the last two years. Same experience last time but we thought we'd give it a shot. Too bad nothing has changed. The corporate mongers have raided the last bastion of what use to be a great steak house with cheap cuts and shabby ingredients. A very unique taste I use to love is gone. So long Outback, we're done with you.

The steaks here are just amazing. My unborn baby (just like his daddy) loves steaks. We visited the Outback in Tukwila twice this month. The steaks are big, tender, and mouthwatering. We don't mind that the bills are over $200.00 each time because we believe you get what you pay for. I tried other steaks at other places and it just makes my baby want to vomit. We're going to have to come for a 3rd time before this month is over.

We ate here on a Friday night at around 7 PM. This Outback has been remodeled (not sure when) and the decor is not at all like the old style. It's sort of wood panels/modern/black leather? The staff no longer wear gaudy shirts and pins. We were seated right away, our server appeared right away. We got our drinks very quickly and our food very quickly. I ordered the Outback special -- a sirloin steak. I had the loaded baked potato, which was good. The salad that came with it was smaller than they used to be -- plain iceberg lettuce pieces, a few small pieces of red onion, one grape tomato sliced in half and about a teaspoon of grated cheddar. A couple teaspoons of blue cheese dressing. So not at all like the old days. My steak was okay, but was a little tough and dry -- though flavorful. My feeling is that I would rather save the $ for the cost of going to Outback twice and just go to a better steak place once. There's a good one in Renton called the Melrose Grill that is not quite twice the price but is much better and at least as good as the really pricey places like Daniel's Broiler or Ruth's Chris.

In a time when large chains are shaking up their menus it's nice when places like this remember to keep the basics. It seems that they are attempting to manage more tables with much less help. The server was very nice just very over-worked. Not an exceptional experience but not a bad one either.

My husband and I love Outback. It was our first date many years ago in Key West, on Tuesday it was our three year wedding anniversary and we thought maybe we would go back and just "remember" our first date. When we walked in we were sat within a decent time but the host (a younger male) was in a hurry or he didn't care that I was pregnant and holding the hand of a two year old and we walk a little slower than his fast walk. He was around the corner by the kitchen by the time we started moving! When we sat he threw the kids menu and crayons we asked for a high-chair, he never returned. We sat there for about 10 minutes and our server came over, he seemed to have a section away from our table so we understood why he needed some extra time. No biggy, we didn't mind the wait at all. After a few minutes I went up to the back of the restaurant to get a booster seat because I got tired of waiting. We ordered wings and fries for our starter, they were nothing fancy. Fries were soggy, cheese was nothing great and the bacon was chewy. I could of made the same thing at home. Wings were ok. We ordered the chicken for our son, he loved it. I ordered the Victoria, the 6oz and a bowl of soup (they didn't have potato so I had to have tortilla, that's ok I like tortilla but it would of been nice to have the potato soup the one that's on the menu.) The soup was good but like the appetizer nothing fancy. My steak was good, not worth the 26$ we paid for it. My husband ordered the Victoria too, he said he was decent too. He ordered a Cesar and rice for his sides. The Cesar had no dressing, was very boring salad. It was just very disappointing, we paid almost 100 dollars on our meal and it was nothing great. We could of made something better at home, and by better I mean more tasteful. Our server bless his heart was running around like a mad man but he was really good with making sure out drinks were full and we had everything we needed. We might not be back again, not because of service but because it was nothing special. Not worth the price of the food. There is a steakhouse in the next shopping center, we will try that next time.

Mealy ahi ahi tuna appetizer. No IPA's on tap. Okay bloomin' onion. Friendly and very helpful server. Consistent with previous tries, a mediocre experience.

Ordered full rack ribs, house salad, fries, root bear, calamari. Ribs were undercooked, very fatty, and lacked the usual outback flavor that we always find with Outback Steakhouse ribs. Mushy. Bland. Lots of fat. Meat pinker than usual. Calamari very greasy. Root beer over carbonated sent it back changed for sprite. Told waiter about ribs he said he would inform manager. Paid and left. We will stick with our usual outback bellevue location - always consistent and great

Overall okay.... had a few good and a few bad experiences. The food quality is pretty consistent, which is good. The service isn't as consistent, which is something the management should work on. A new concept is the tablet ordering system, but this only works with a good server to explain any exceptions. The last time, I had ordered one kind of soup and a different one came - and the server explained that the system isn't always right or updated. I emailed through the website about my last experience, we'll see if the restaurant gets back to me.

Hey, Outback management, your table side ordering machine advertises beverages from a Coke Free Style machine. Apparently they don't have that machine. I HATE false advertising!!! Ruined my meal before I even ordered it.

Sometimes you go to a place just to say you've been there. This is one of those place. The steaks are mediocre at best.

Food was ok. Seat and service was not. I was seated in the back, so we could hear the chatter of the staff all through the meal and every single one walked past our table-worst seat in the house. Our waitress is either new, uninterested, our didn't feel like waiting on us. I had to ask for everything- multiple times. We really liked this place last time we came. This is probably our last time for this location-not s good experience at all.

I used the Curbside TakeAway Service - the server was very friendly. On the one side, Outback's food is always very good. It was still flavorful and I enjoyed my meal for the most part. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes tasted burned and the steak (which I ordered Medium) was well done. I don't know how you overcook meat that badly. I wish I'd checked it before I left but... oh well. I was also disappointed to find that they removed the Teriyaki Medallions from the menu - my favorite item. Come on, Outback! Bring it back!

We decided to go here for dinner and its been years since I've eaten at Outback. It will be years before I ever return. The service was horrible, the quality steak was incredibly low and it was an all around bad visit. Our server had 4 tables. She acted like she had 20 tables. We were never visited and asked if we needed anything but she would stop and talk to the other three tables. We ordered a drink from the computer thing at the table, it never showed up. My steak was like a piece of rubber and hardly cut with my huge steak knife. We will never visit here ever again.

This is a great restaurant with consistently good service and food for such a large franchise. The prices here are reasonable. I also like the new tablet computers that are at each table (some locations). If I'm in a hurry, I just get seated, grab the tablet, and order. No waiting for a server. When I'm done and ready to pay, no waiting either. Just swipe my card and away I go. Overall, it's a great location with solid food and a nice environment for a chain restaurant.

  • Jack Z.

Really friendly server and staff. Very efficient as well. What I really like about the restaurant is the Presto electronic payment system. It's so cool and very convenient to order and the payment system is so smooth. As for the taste of the food, the meat is very tender even if you want your steak well done. Try the King Crab as well, its worth the money because it's very fresh.

Here for a birthday. Our waiter Muri is amazing! Super attentive and follows up appropriately to ensure all of our needs are met. There were a few food issues (our fault) and despite the fact we made the error he was so flexible and made everything perfect. I'm not a fan of the tacoma location, so I was tentative when I heard this was where we would be dining but based on this experience I will definitely return

Horrible communication from our server. This is why I avoid chain restaurants but I was in Seattle, hanging with my folks and they pretty much only eat at chain restaurants. So...None of the current promotions were mentioned. I find out later, via a Tv ad about far better special menu promotions. I hit the website--of course they are promoted there. And a 10% off sat football promotion so I call the manager. I leave a message. The manager calls back 15 minutes later-- he wonders why we didn't mention the promotions to our server or complain while in the store- uh because our server didnt give us the special promotiinal menus nor was a computer screen the manager mention at our table and although they weren't busy when we got there they were when we left and the whole experience felt like we were cattle on speed dial. But OK, whatever. Again before I give up on communicating with the manager he again asks why we didn't complain during our visit and I'm putting my face in my palms. He finally offers free dessert or an appetizer on my next visit. This is after I explain I live 400 miles ne of his store location. Cool. They'd be so lucky if I give them another shot at my hundred bucks for just me and my folks again.

I could almost copy/paste Kevin B's post. I had the filet as well, it was most delicious. Anna was our server and she went above and beyond, adjusting the menu to accommodate my wife, and even getting my cell phone charged while we ate! Good service seems to be harder to find these days, but we felt very appreciated here. Thanks for taking such good care of us Anna, we really appreciated it!

4 of us for dinner out - Food was just not good. Bloomin' Onion was so salty we couldn't eat it. Salads - meh. Could probably get better at a diner. Dinner - The Alice Springs Chicken was so greasy and salty that it could barely be eaten. One of the Rib Eye steaks was ordered med rare and was cold in the center. It was sent back and then came back so over cooked it was not edible. Manager offered to bring another one but was told no - we'd waited too long already. He insisted he had one "ready to go" on the grill - came back a few minutes later to say, no that wasn't the case. He did offer to "buy" the steak. Sirloin steak - zero flavor. The other Rib Eye - was too rare as well but I did try to eat it. The steaks come out on a plate completely alone unless you order a separate side. And I mean ...NOTHING on the plate - not even a sprig of parsley. Baked potatoes - nothing special. It is considered a side dish - for which they charge $3.99. EACH. Supposed to be "loaded" - would have been so much better to ask for it plain and then put on what I wanted. Oh - and it wasn't even piping hot as I think a baked potato should be! When the bill did arrive, it was not itemized so there was no way to know how much they took off for the steak fiasco. We probably should have asked for an itemized bill but we were so ready to just get out of there. As we were leaving, the car next to ours had the passenger window bashed in while we were eating! We went inside with the car info, including license plate, to tell the hostess and we weren't sure they were going to follow up on it. The response seemed like it was a common occurrence. I feel sad for whoever owned that car and had to discover the issue after a miserable dinner! The service was rushed and the evening was not what any of us had hoped for. We won't go back. .

So disappointing! We went here last night for my friend's birthday. Though our waiter was nice, he was a bit annoying. However, THAT I could overlook. What I couldn't overlook was the terrible food! I ordered a chicken BBQ salad that was just a mess. The salad was expensive ($13.99) and it was pretty much disgusting. The chicken was fine - but the bacon was pieces of fat and undercooked. It was DRENCHED in the dressing. A soggy mess. My friend ordered a steak cooked medium and what she got was red and cold in the middle. It was also FULL of gristle that couldn't be chewed. Also, there's a new tabletop monitor thing - and you could order on it - but our server told us NOT to use it. It was weird. But, okay. Then, you could play games on it - unfortunately, you could only play two short games before you had to pay .99 cents to play more. What a rip-off! Also, the tables around us went uncleared for almost the entire hour we were there. A disaster.

The cooks and staff here are never clean. Majority of them are constantly stoned/high... That's why your food is contaminated and they rarely get your orders right. I avoid this place like the plague... Go somewhere else where the staff actually bathe themselves and wash their hands.

So after a really bad day, we went here because we are semi regulars and thought we would have a good time relaxing.. No such luck. The actual owner of the franchise was there and when shown an email I had from Outback that showed the price of the unlimited shrimp and steak as being 3 dollars less than priced here, Kevin's response was " oh well we are franchised and things are more expensive on the west coast. I told him what a terrible day we were having and he didn't seem to even care. We told him we come there at least once a week and it's deceptive advertising and we wouldn't be back. His response? "Ok" Seriously we drop 50 bucks every time we go there and he didn't even care we wouldn't be back. We will write corporate on this and tell them this franchise owner's attitude is poor and does a disservice to the name of Outback Steakhouse, Never again. Deuces Outback Tukwila, your owner Kevin sucks and has zero personality. For a three dollar difference they lost a regular 50 dollar check, nice work Kevin.

We nearly didn't eat here last night because of the reviews. Having to eat gluten free can be a problem for travelers, but Outback is one of those chains you can rely on to be knowledgeable. Had a meal last night, Friday. Service prompt, food up to their normal standards, good steak and fish. Decor has been updated. So basically, we had a great meal at short notice.

If you are trying curbside take-out, don't bother calling! They don't answer their phone! I tried several times. I let it ring, until it went back to the recording. Around and around. Don't bother!

food was good however, service was terrible. it takes literally 20 minutes to get a refill (not including the time it takes for the server to realize all of our glasses were empty). make sure you check to see if your steak was cooked the way you like, otherwise you'll be stuck eating and extra rare steak.

OUTBACK has improved a lot in my opinion. I wrote a negative tip from who knows when but I would like to take that back and say that it's been actually quite good. Fast friendly service. I use to hate using those machine to place our orders. Now I appreciate that technology even though it still takes away the old fashioned face to face interaction between the server and you but whatever and when ever you want something it's right there on your tablet ready at your command. Not to mention our sever was at our table conversing with us and checking up on us often. The #1 plate for me is the prime rib. Man it hits the spot. Thing about that is you preferably have to tell them how you would like it. Umm like... I like my prime rib bloody so instead of saying rare ( which usually comes out a bit more cooked than I like ) I tell them more on a bloody side more like a seared prime rib. Shzzz_zam! It come out perfect. All in all it was a great dinner.

To preface: I have very fond memories of working my way through college at an Outback Steakhouse in Oregon for almost 3 years. That's why I took my son there the other night. I have not walked out of a restaraunt in years, but! The server was abrupt and seemed annoyed with our questions. I understand that restaraunts get busy and that people have a lot to do. All four of our forks (entree and salad, 2 people) had food stuck to them. One of the napkins was dirty. When our server brought our bread and salad, the breadboard was carried on top of the salad, so that part of the salad was stuck under it when it was placed on the table. Finally, there was fuzz (like from a sweater) AND hair right on top of my salad. So, we left. This place is awful. Look, I signed up for Yelp! and wrote an essay - it was that freaking bad.

Twenty-five years ago when Outback Restaurants first appeared on the scene, there were two hour waits; diners lined up for Bloomin' Onions and Victoria's Filets. The food seemed better back then; the long wait times seemed worth it. These days, the long lines are for the most part gone, certainly due to the increased competition but probably due just as much, to the decline in food quality. That's certainly the case for this particular storefront. I visited twice on a recent business trip to the area. Both times the cuts of steak were below par and improperly cooked to order. The sides were also mediocre. The highlights of the meal were the passable loaf of hot bread and the cheerful waitstaff. While the prices are slightly below those of a high-end steakhouse, the quality of the food rivals the Sizzler across the street. I will not return.

I orderred the $12.99 sirloin and a free $7.99 [Outback Bowl promotion] fried onion appetizer. My total bill with water for a beverage and tax and tip was about $17. The tender juicey sirloin was A+, you could cut it with a fork. Makes Black Angus look like a hack shop, albeit I'd rate the place a 4 star without the free appetizer. Too many other choices out there that have bogos or better yet restaurant.com .

Had no complaints. Lemon drop and house margarita were made to perfection. Ordered wings, Cobb salad, coconut shrimp and bloom petals off their $4 bar menu! Everything was excellent and server super happy and friendly even though we came at near closing time.

Ok, so I know chains nowadays are just not our first choice anymore, but if you are ever at the Southcenter Mall and like beer and a solid lunch - go here! The Southcenter Outback is not only nicely renovated, but it has the most icy mugs you have ever drank from! IT IS AWESOME! Sit in the bar, use those nifty little touch screen pads to place your order (if a server does not get to you first) and enjoy. Such a nice little stop when you get hungry after shopping. The last time we went, service was a bit slow, BUT the servers were very friendly and my mug was still super icy!

I've been to Outback two times and both times I have received horrible food and service. Just yesterday when I went with a group of friends all of our food was cold or room temp. Two if my friends decided not to get new food but two of us did. My Fried Fish and what was supposed to be Aussie Cheese Fries came back over cooked. They had the Fish too long in the fryer because the outside was almost burnt. It was a very dark brown color. They also forgot the bacon on the fries. Thus just making them cheesy fries. I was pissed off that they messed up my order the second time around and that it was only a minor mistake at that. The reason I think the service is horrible is because I'm pretty sure our food say on the kitchen counter for a while to get that warm. Our waiter was horrible and did not follow through with request the first time asked. Like bringing extra dressing for our salads, we had to ask several times before she finally brought it out and by then the salad was eaten. Also they brought ranch for our chicken wings after we got our food. Which was also long gone. The timing of how they do everything is pretty slow. If you want crappy food and service go to Outback in Tukwila (Southcenter) or in Federal Way.

I can see why this Outback only has 3 stars being a chain that is normally good. First of all my clam chowder soup was barely warm. I blew on it expecting it to be hot to my lips, instead I had to chow it down before it turned to a mash potato consistency. I order my steak medium well because I want it to be cooked. When it came out I unwrapped my silverware to discover the forks were both dirty. Not like spotty, but actually had good stuck to them both. Well I get a new set and start to dig in. Right away I can tell my filet is rare. The knife is more like pulling it apart than cutting through it. I send that back to be microwaved because I have about 30 minutes to eat it before I need to leave for a 7:20 movie. I think this place is going to disappoint me and then make me late for the movie too. When I got the new and improved steak...it really did not taste right. I even cut a piece for my buddy to try and he agreed it didn't taste very good. Usually I would just eat it and pay for it, but I had lost my appetite. The only reason this outback got 2 stars is because I didn't have to pay for my steak.

My wife and I received a gift card for here over the holidays and it had been awhile since the last time I have eaten at an Outback restaurant. I was happy with the food and definitely impressed with the service. We split a bloomin onion which was really good and addicting. I ordered the boomerang shrimp with a cup of their potato soup and I was really pleased with everything. I will suggest getting there a little early on Saturday night though, we showed up right at 5 and there was a 10 min wait, so we ended up sitting in the bar, and about 15 mins later it the entire front waiting room was PACKED with standing customers.

We came to the outback Sunday hoping for a meal as good as the first one we had here the week prior. We sat down in the bar at a booth the host told us we could sit at even though it was dirty with glasses and plates. Ok, no big deal. Someone will come over and bus the table. Our server comes over looking frustrated and irritated. She then grabs everything off the table and asks us if we already sent drinks off to the kitchen with their nifty new gadget they have on the table to place your own orders. Yes, we sure did. Ten minutes later she comes back, still annoyed with our drinks and bread in hand and walks off. Ten minutes later we order our meals and request a few simple additions. Twenty minutes later the food comes out in the hands of another server, ribs are luke warm, the additions we asked for are not on our plates and our drinks are empty. Our server never returned until our meal is almost over. My fiance' and I then decide not to waist any more money on cocktails and request a coke. Ten minutes later she comes back after I had already used the gadget on the table to pay. In short term, food was cold, waitress was terrible and it seemed to me like everyone could care less. I've been a server in Seattle for four years. I'm pretty patient. Service industry is hard. But, don't treat your guests like they are bothering you. It pained me to tip less than 20 percent. I don't know that we will be back. Now I see why the reviews are quite terrible.

Sometimes things don't always happen the way you want, but I tell you.. the management and staff at Outback was very professional and fixed a little mistake. I was so impressed with the professionalism and not to mention how good the food was.... I would go back in a heartbeat ..... great job Wendy

I think I am being nice by giving this location three-stars! :( We really had an awful time here, not with the food, which was ok, but really had tremendous problem with the lack of good customer service.Of course there is the food that was also mediocre Wow, this place's staff were stone cold! Proved to not care and really had non-existent customer service skills. Boo-boo experience

It was awful!!! Four of us went and we went through 3 sets of silverware each and they were still dirty. Food was awful and the price for each one was way too expensive for what you got. Never had the same waitress. Order a side of sauce and she'd forget to bring it. NO STARS FOR YOU, tried to post but have to pick a star. Fettuccini was a few noodles, very little sauce and a piece of chicken on top. Never go back.

We love outback. Best steak for the money. Kids mac and cheese is awesome. Wedge salad is better than restaurantts charging 3x the price.

The first time I went here, I ordered Medium-Well and it was SUPER well- done. UGH. I thought the service was horrible. There was like 9 of us, and we had to sit at 2 separate tables, and when we wanted our checks, we waited over 20 minutes for MIA waiter. I would like to go back definitely. But this time, was blehhh.

Went here for a friend's birthday a bit over a week ago and was left super disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food was fine, but it was some of the worst service I've had in a while...and that's saying a lot, since I live in Capitol Hill. We were super confused by the tablets at the table. The hostess explained that we could order on them, or play games. Seems totally unnecessary and over complicated if you ask me. Seeing as how we were told we could order ourselves, we placed orders for drinks. Honestly, we weren't even sure if we were going to see a waitress at all. Our waitress came just as we started to place our food orders. Right away, she was obviously annoyed we were using the tablet to order, and told us that was her job. We must have deeply offended her, because after that she made sure to come by rarely, and when she did she didn't seem very happy about it. The kicker was at the end, when she brought my friend some bday ice cream (after we had paid) and told him to "hurry up and eat it". Seriously? I really don't see a need for electronic tablets at the table if you still have a waitress. Let the waiter or waitress do their job....if we aren't even supposed to order on the tablet, don't put it there!

We expected more from a popular franchise in a high traffic area. It wasn't super busy, got seated right away. The " interactive" device wasn't explained ,so we didn't use it. Might have got faster service if we had, but I don't come to restaurants to place my own orders. We both ordered the sirloin with the lobster mushroom sauce. We both ordered the watermelon moonshine drink...meh. Salads were delish. Steaks arrive, both covered with sauce, they were both ordered med-rare. My husbands was cooked correctly, mine was bouncy rare. Took at least 5 minutes to wave down a server to take it back. Another 10 plus for the replacement. The manager brought it with the sauce on the side, and stayed to have me check it's done ness, which was med rare. By this time my husband was totally finished with his dinner. They made apologies , weak attempt at comping dessert , which we didn't want. And then it was like we were basically ignored, other than the check being literally dropped off. G'Day outback. Not going back. Ugh! Oh, and the lobster mushroom sauce was very salty, and spicy.

Most people like the Outback. From their greasy Bloomin Onion to their steak and lobster. It's your typical goodness. Not healthy but yummy. The service was fine. It's neat to have those game things that you can also use to order your meal on. Gives you something fun to do while waiting for your food. It's what you would expect. I guess there's nothing to complain about but also not anything necessarily to rave about.

We went to dinner here twice in the last 2 weeks. The service is slow and inattentive. And the steak was over-cooked and hard to cut of chew. thought us was an off night so we tried again tonight. Different server but same service and bland food. Surely will not be back to spend $60 on lame food.

Do not go to this location. They refused to cook my fathers steak properly and treated him so rudely it is unbelievable. I did not have an iD on me, I'm 32 and my daughter lost it, so I was fine without having a drink I only asked the Latino manager why since I'm obviously way over 21. When my Dad ordered a medium rare steak they send out a bloody piece of steak. When he asked the manager to cook it properly, this racist jerk basically told him he couldn't have his steak cooked how he wanted it! He told my dad "not to talk to him like that" when he didn't talk rude to him at all. My Dad then just asked him to go away and let us eat out food. I had a hair in my food and said nothing since I didn't have a chance to. I didn't take ONE bite of my food. I then got up from the table and asked the manager to please just have another one made. We drop hundreds at the Outback quite often. This "manager" told me "not to speak to him like that." Like WHAT? I just asked a simple question we should have been taken care of for those prices. That made me so upset I couldn't believe it! I think I said something like "can you just made the damn steak" (I was very upset with this service by then). He then told the waitress to "go call the cops" and told me to leave! For wanting a steak cooked properly at a STEAK HOUSE? So I left. We all left and didn't get to eat. I then called the police station to talk to the officer called and he said no report was filed basically there was NO reason for this jerk to call the cops. I did nothing wrong and was treated like a pile of trash. Last night I tried to call back to understand why they did this to us. Crystal who works there asked me to "hold on" and hung up on me numerous times. So today I called to talk to the manager on duty and I get the owner who I figured would have somewhat of a brain or want his customers happy. He told me we are not allowed there. He told me that the cops were called because I was screaming profanities! Umm ok nice try but if I was it would have been wry obvious. I was not I didn't even raise my voice. Kevin the owner is also extremely rude and unprofessional. He then hung up on me twice just for trying to ask him questions or understand why we would be treated so horribly. The Southcenter location has always been the worst one I've EVER been to and I have been there a few times in the last 20 years. They always cook everything too rare. I have no words to describe how managers and even the owner can be so mean to people and unprofessional. I wouldn't even give this one star. The food was not even good from what I barely got to try. I might be white but racism comes from all races and this was really bad. We were discriminated against just for asking a question and wanting the food cooked as it was asked to be done. I am appalled at this complete lack in customer service. Who calls the cops for no reason making everyone in an establishment uncomfortable?! I can't believe how a "professional" restaurant can treat people, even people with money, like they are absolute nobody's who don't matter. I'm disgusted.

I love this place!! Always great food and excellent service! This location seems to b busier than most but the staff are always attentive and friendly- the bar was extremely packed last night and the bartender was smiling and seemed to be having a good time though being busy. She was nice and offered me a taste of their outback ale because I wasn't sure what beer I wanted- it was good! The specials they run are always a great combination of seafood and steak- although the all u can eat shrimp is over- I had te lobster with a filet mignon steak and enjoyed it very much! I will be back to this location!

Food got better from a year ago when it seemed like everything shrunk but prices went in the opposite direction. This time, everything was pretty yummy. We had the mahi, salmon, and 4 sirloins (6 of us) and we all enjoyed the entrees our respective sides. HOWEVER, we had the most incompetent waiter (name on the receipt said Mathew - yes, with 1 T) who completely messed up our orders (well done came out to medium rare, 7oz came out 9 oz and vice versa) and didn't refill our drinks fast enough and didn't even bring out bread until after the meals came. WTF?! I tipped him only 11% - which is not small on a large bill. He's lucky to have even gotten that. I'm actually one of those people who believes that you have to EARN your tip. So, technically, I'd give the food a 3 and the service a 1, to average to 2.

This was perhaps the worst meal I've paid for in years. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because our server was great, and my steak was well prepared. The lettuce in my salad was so watery, you could barely taste the dressing, and I was only given two croutons. I usually like to eat my baked potato skin and all. Mine was so overdone, the skin had a chewy consistency. The toppings came on the side. There was about a 50 cent piece size of sour cream with a few sprinkles of cheese, bacon bits, and chives. When we asked for more, she apologized, stating her manager was helping in the kitchen. Step it up, and stop being so chincy with your sauces and sides! Outback is not a fancy steakhouse, but it's not super cheap either. Ending on a positive note, our server was friendly and quick with drink refills and the check. My rare steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection.

I mean, you know what you're getting with an Outback - average, expected food with no surprises. Sometimes, that is a good thing. When you're not feeling so well, and don't have a car (since you're at the hotel next door), it's a really good thing. So entered my experience with the Tukwila Outback. I decided to get my food to-go on a Sunday evening, so I could sulk in my hotel room over my misery. I ordered a half-order of medium chicken wings and a side salad. While I was waiting, I strolled to the bar for a Sprite, which was free from the friendly bartender since I was getting takeout food. The friendly gentleman from the takeout area brought my food to me about 10 minutes later, and I rolled out back to my hotel dungeon. Opened up the food and...it was exactly as I expected. The wings were fine, the salad was fine, and the prices were fine. It was all fine, it was all A-OK. It was all what you would expect from Outback - nothing special, nothing extraordinary, but good enough food at a good enough price served by good enough people. Sometimes, that's good enough for me.

This is a chain steak restaurant so it can never really be anything more than ok. The Ceasar salad was meh. The filet was well cooked and tasty but the other side (broccoli) was overcooked, as if they had left it in the warm hold bin on the stove too long. They have recently implemented table side ordering systems. So every table comes equipped with your very own screen. Whatever happened to no TV at the table? Well, Outback wants you to do away with that. And it seems with their new table top ordering service they also want to do away with servers entirely. Really not very classy Outback. Way to be family oriented.

AVOID THIS PLACE! I USUALLY love outback but this WORST service I've ever had!!! Took five minutes to be greeted. Server rang in the wrong drinks from the bar, and only the drinks from the bar were delivered, the others I had to ask for again. She also didn't even know what their soup of the day was. She took forever to come and check back on us, and would forget to bring what we had asked for. After her 4th trip to the table we finally got bread. She dropped off out check before we weren't even half way through eating. The shrimp was over cooked and fries weren't really hot. After Jennifer caught up and we were practically done she kept coming back to check on us, almost to an extra annoying point. Another guest knocked over a glass and they left the shards sitting all over the floor. Which is ridiculous on so many levels! Worst service at any outback or really restaurant for that matter.

The Crab Avacado Stack It lifted this review above 2stars. Also the service was excellent last night. (a bit after 7 on Jan1st) despite a full house. Order it. Don't have any doubts. I talked my husband into tasting the crab (he hates avacado) and then I had to share the whole thing with him. It was AMAZING. I need to figure out their dressing (maybe a fixed up balsamic? it wasn't heavy) they had good quality crab avacado and cilantro. The bartender was great. I think her name was Jackie. She really hustled and still had a good sense of humor and a few extra smiles. And skills. The drinks were excellent. Otherwise, everything was okay. What you would expect from the Outback. The Blooming Onion was tasty but unhealthy. My stomach started to churn at the 3rd or 4th or 5th bite. I had to ask to box it up then because my will-power was weak despite the stomach cramps that were bound to start up. Happy Hour was over at 6. We missed it. That wasn't a surprise.. There was a 15minute wait for a dinner table but we were welcome to wait or dine in the bar, so we bellied up and ate at the bar. But that meant no electronic game style ordering machine. oh well. We were celebrating and I decided to splurge on The Victoria Steak with lobster sauce. I put my lobster sauce, which was a little too rich and not very lobster-ish, on my gralic mashed potatoes, which were NOT garlicky enough. I've always ordered the house sirloin before, and I won't bother ordering anything more expensive than that here again. I thought the Victoria was really disappointing. It was tender but just kind of tasteless. I can't remember what the 'real' cut description was. Maybe it was a ribeye.

Outback holds a special place in my heart: when I lived in Japan, it was one of the few places where you can get an true Western-style steak - many meals were spent here commiserating with other homesick gaijins. It's been over 5 years since I've set foot into an Outback and I decided to drop by here on a nostalgic whim when my friends felt like some steak and wanted to try this Aussie/American chain unavailable in Canada. We ordered the signature Bloomin' Onion - it was a lot worse than I remember. Extremely greasy and salty, if it wasn't for the beer I was drinking - I don't think we would have made it through 1/2 the plate as we did between the three of us. Oh well, I couldn't go to Outback and not let my friends try out the famously greasy Bloomin' Onion. Feeling uber-hungry and unable to resist food-challenge-like portions, I went for the 20 oz 'Melbourne' porterhouse (~$27). I ordered it 'rare' and the waitress confirmed that I wanted it 'purple'. Now, I usually expect something closer to medium-rare as few places make it as rare as I like - but they delivered it juicy and bloody just way I like it. Meaty, bloody goodness in a huge portion - what more can a guy ask for? The steak was decent and is definitely a notch above other steak joints (I guess that Zagat stickers proclaiming the chain having the #1 Voted Steak holds some weight?). If you can tolerate the faux-Aussie charm that died in the '80s but no one told the owners and looking for a safe-bet on a steak-chain, you can do a lot worse than Outback. However, it will never be as good as the Outbacks in Japan for a homesick, steak-deprived foreigner.

Maybe what they say is true. If service is good, one is likely to perhaps tell a friend, but when it's not good, one will tell anyone who listens. Listen to me when I tell you that this Outback is struggling with providing a decent meal. On more than one occasion, the food has been a tremendous letdown. Shouldn't a steakhouse know how to prepare a steak? Multiple letdowns from this location leave me looking elsewhere for a meal. This Outback features tabletop ordering devices with a touchscreen. Two things come to mind with a device such as this... First, touchscreens are notoriously filthy. Do you think the kid with smelly hands left some bacteria on it for me? Second, ordering through a wanna-be ipad knock off takes away the experience of speaking with a human (something people here in Seattle embrace with the whole Seattle Freeze act). It's kind of like self checkout at the store - shouldn't you get a better deal for doing all the work? If the wait staff can't take my order or process my card for payment (this device handles payments also), they're not in the position to hit me up for the same tip. Funny, the device automatically suggests a 20 percent gratuity at checkout.

If I could give this location a negative star rating I would. I absolutely love outback and since this one is closest to my house I kept trying it hoping it was just one bad experience. I have been violently Ill twice from eating at this location. I know youre wondering why i went back but let me stress outback is my favorite steakhouse. My friend also threw up in my car on the way home from dinner here once. I will NEVER eat at this location again. The federal way facility is the outback I go to now. I've never had any problems with food or service there.

Decent food if you're looking for something not too interesting. Meat, meat and more meat. We got the grilled shrimp appetizer which was surprisingly good. Cooked just right with tasty seasoning. My strawberry passion martini was too sweet. Should have opted for a dirty martini. Had the slow cooked flank steak which was served with a port wine sauce and mushrooms. Came with steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. Good sized serving, tender meat, and tasty. My friend got the prime rib which came with a baked potato and all the fixings. Must've been good since he finished it all but the fat. We had a sundae for dessert which was served with delicious toasted coconut. I'd go again just for the sundae. Other than that, I'd only go if I was looking for a hardcore meat fix.

I love outback. This location has friendly service and of course they open the doors for you as you enter. Depends what cook is cooking your steak here. I always ask for the most trained and best cook when I order. Steaks here are pretty cheap compared to Ruth Chris steakhouse. Cute people work at this location to which is thumbs up!!

I like Outback's steaks even though they're not quite as good as the steaks at the Keg. There's more variety on the menu at Outback, and it's more casual, making it slightly better for groups. This location has successfully swallowed up 12 of my friends and I on more than one evening, and they've given us great service and food that everyone was satisfied with. The never-ending bread and butter is popular with many people because the bread is really good. They're going to keep your drink refilled too. The appetizers are all pretty good, with the blooming onion being a signature and really, actually, it's quite tasty and easy to share with a crowd (no fighting over four pieces of whatever as with some appetizers!) Steaks are consistently good but not outstanding. The chicken dishes are different from many other places and their side dishes are more varied as well. The soups and salads are often excellent. They offer call-ahead seating, which is not really a reservation for a specific time, but putting your name on the list for a table. This has resulted in very little waiting for me, so I like it.

Of the Outback Steakhouse's I've been to, this one is not one I'd necessarily choose to go back to. If you don't sit in the bar, you have to wait for at least 20min to get a table. The food itself was good, and the service was okay.

Delicious! Great time, food, and friendly service. They have a really neat new computer like tablet on each table with games, trivia, etc.. Coolest part is you can pay right there at the table and review the bill. My steak was perfect! I will say the salad was good but slightly wilted.

Most of us have eaten at Outback's around the country so know what to expect- good and less than good. This location seemed just a bit friendlier and happy to have you there than some of the other locations. Tonight enjoyed the prime rib and a Caesar salad with anchovies that did not disappoint. Drinking water, bill was under $20 (plus tip) that was well worth it. Looking forward to next visit.

This evening, after not visiting Outback for a very long time, we stopped in at the Tukwila Outback. We arrived early and were the first customers to be seated this evening. Having absolutely anywhere to sit, they placed us in the rear of the restaurant a couple of booths from the restrooms. Not bad, and we didn't mention anything about it. Our waitress was the best. Not one misstep. The food was excellent. Arlene gave the food a 4.5 out of 5. Her only issue was the amount of "fat" in the form of butter and oil that arrived after asking for no butter, etc. I gave the food a 5. I wasn't concerned by the "fat", at least today. We both ordered the Out back Special Platter which consists of a 6 oz sirloin steak, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. Arlene substituted grilled onions for the potatoes. The onions were the "fat" culprits. I like it when Arlene orders steak because she always gets it well-done. This is a challenge for most restaurant to provide a delicious steak AND make it well-done. In this case they provided a perfect well-done, delicious steak. I requested my steak medium and it was also perfect. The portions for all items were spot on. No take home bag, just pure enjoyment. If we could record 4.5 stars, we would. I recommend this Outback to everyone. Too notch food, service and pretty good atmosphere.

My husband, myself and few friends went last night for dinner. My husband ordered the Grilled Shrimp and Filet. Some funky dish with a mushroom sauce was brought to the table. Being a man, my husband didn't really notice that; A. there was no shrimp and B. It wasn't even what he ordered. (He doesn't even like mushrooms! :) ) After cutting into the overcooked meat, we all agreed this was not a filet. We even asked the waitress if there was a mix up on his steak. We then explained this wasn't even what he ordered. Her answer, "Do you just want me to go get you your shrimp?" Uh, no thanks. He forced down their 1/4 inch thick, burnt filet. My friend ordered their $17.99 special of steak and lobster. Again, burnt to a crisp. How embarrassing. Not only that, our waitress asked us, count em', FIVE times for boxes. When we told her we were still eating, she brings them and sets then right in the middle of the table. What a subtle hint to get out. Never again.

The husband and I were looking for a place to get some jaw-flappin action going on. We seen this and though hell yes. Steak. Can't go wrong with that right? We walk in there, we're seated, I fold my arms across the table and I'm wearing someone elses leftover food. The waitress hands us our water and takes off before I can let her know this table was dirty. I look at my water, and there was not only a chunk of somethin floating in my water, but the glass was dirty as well. We just got up and left. I'm not chowin down on leftovers from dirty plates. Psh, forget that.

As a follow up to my 30th birthday fiasco, I returned with my gift cards to Outback Steakhouse. I have to give credit to Christian at the Bellevue location credit in following up from a customer service standpoint. However, I was still traumatized from my earlier terrible steak which promptly ended up on my dad's lush, beautiful green lawn following dinner. Anyways, this experience was better but I am still a bit unsure of this place. I used to love Outback but something just doesn't seem right about the place anymore. It's kid friendly which is good, but the food has dropped off in quality. This time, I went with the new Bloomin' Burger which was ok, and I wasn't brave enough to venture into "steak-infested waters." Overall, it was a fun night out but I think I'm going to try some other options next time when I want a decent steak.

came here last Friday for date night. they were having a special for $11.99. three course meal, salad, 6 oz. steak and desert. i got the special and my husband opt for the fish and chips. we also ordered the onion bloom. i haven't been here in years and was really looking forward to the onion bloom. our waitress Tanya was really great!! service was good throughout the whole meal. the only thing i would say was that it was a little odd having the bus-er wait right there in plain sight while you eat. it was like they had a contest who could turn the tables faster. kinda odd. at least have them wait where we can not visually see them. the onion bloom came to our table and looked so good. but as i started to eat it. the inside of the onion was not cooked all the way. there was wet batter still uncooked and the onion was raw. so i just stop eating it. my husband on the other hand is not as picky as i am. so he ate the rest. my salad came out and i was expecting a small bowl but instead i got a pretty decent size salad. it was great!! then out meal comes out. if you are a meat lover, don't order this. its a real small serving that's why its only $11.99!! the portion was good for me, but my husband would have to eat at least 3 portions to be full. the steak was cooked good, i got it done medium rare but next time I'm gonna get it done medium. i had garlic mash with it and was not loving all the skin in it.. there was a lot of skin. i don't mind if the skins are from a red or yellow potato but brown potatoes have such a funny texture to their skins. i couldn't eat it after a while. i started to pick them out but it was too much work because there was soooo many!! i just gave up! my husbands fish and chips were so good. flaky and golden brown. it was not oily at all. most places where we eat fish and chips at are so oily, it makes my tummy funny! the only thing he complained about was the fries were not hot. then the desert came out, it was a take on beignets. it was served with apples, ice cream and a sweet caramel sauce. something like that. Ive had beignets in Louisiana at the cafe du monde. these were like a regular fried donut. not light and airy at all, but they were still good. it was a good dinner overall but i would not get the onion bloom again!!

I actually like this place. I always order their pasta dish, I forgot what it's called, but it was always good for the times I've ordered it.

I had the OB Special with crabcakes. It was not very good. The steak prices at this location are $3 more than any other that I have been to, also they should not call them crab cakes they should be Pancakes. They were about the size of a silver dollar. The staff was friendly though.

I have had some really good experiences and not so good ones for Outback but when I saw the commercial for their $15 sirloin and lobster special, i couldn't resist! Took the better half yesterday to the place and got seated immediately. You get some fresh bread and that was good. We both ordered their $15 special and when it came, the size of the portions was quite reasonable and the steaks were cooked just the way we wanted. The steak itself was a good cut and has a nice flavor to it with no excess fat and came with 3 small lobster tails and a medium sized baked potato. The lobsters were made just perfectly and I thought it tasted just right! We enjoyed my meal and we left out of there very satisfied and paid exactly what was advertised. Good job at this location thus far. Reading some of the review from others on this about unhealthy items...hmm don't order the deep fried fatty stuff and stick to the steaks and salads! You will do fine, I tell ya! Doh!

Alright we went with another family so we had 3 kids age 5-6 and two 12 and 9. We are aparty of 9. We order the onion thing for appetizer: -seated 05:20 -5:30 orders in -5:45 drinks come? Does it really take that long for drinks? -6:00 one person at our table had ordered coffee at table and it finally arrived 1/2hr later -appetizer finally arrives -6:35 I am tired of waiting so I snag a waiter and he checks the automated system and says our order will be fired next..says kitchen tries to fire a table within 12-15 min cycle -we have seen table after table seated after us get their food -our snippy waitress comes to the table, no preamble "we don't put the order in until after appetizer is served!" Does she even try to engage us in conversation? -6:40 food is served 70 minutes after we are seated They build a suggested 18 percent gratuity into the bill. My wife has to deal with it along with my wife's relative because I am going to lose it. They asked for the manager who was indifferent. He never asked about the problem just said "how we gonna work this out?". My wife, diplomatically asks for change on a 20 and our waitress snatches it out of her hand. She was actually going to leave some kind of tip. Was.....Manager makes no attempt to intervene. We almost never leave without tipping. I have worked in the restaurant business for over 15 yrs. and done every job. Poor leadership and our waitress tried to lie instead of just being honest. She became hostile when I could not find her and checked on the status of our order. Mangements coping strategy is get the problem out the door. Now it is our job to tell everyone who will listen..never, ever go back. Cannot say anything positive about outback.

I loathe chain restaurants for the most part, but I was brought here for a birthday party because Outback is her favorite. I had the salmon, and to my surprise it was quite tasty. I couldn't believe it! It really hit the spot and was cooked well. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience, and didn't come remotely close to the train wreck I was expecting. A surreal evening to be sure, thanks Outback for keeping it interesting!

The waiter was the best part of the entire meal. We ordered steaks cooked medium well and they both came out medium rare and bloody. We had to pay $5.00 extra per meal for a lobster sauce topping over the steaks that tasted fair. I asked for English Breakfast tea and an Australian based restaurant didn't know what that was until I asked for a black tea. The waiter was very fast and couteous.

Came here for dinner last Sunday (June 27). There were 7 of us in our party. Called ahead to put our name on the list but they were pretty slow so we probably would have been fine without calling. We had a GREAT server, Alisson. She was patient, helpful & a professional. 5 of us were there on time & while we waited for the last 2 she got our drinks and answered any questions we had about the menu. I had the fantastic Filet with Wedge Salad. A ginormous hunk of iceberg lettuce smothered in blue cheese crumbles, diced tomatoes & a balsamic drizzle. The 2 pieces of filet that came with were very tender. Hubby had the $13.99 6oz. sirloin & snow crab special adding a $2.49 salad. Mom had a pile of fried "boomerang" shrimp on top of fries. Hot, crisp & not greasy. Dad had a ginormous Rib Eye that was worth every penny. Leftovers for him. ;) Sis had the chicken salad that was HUGE! Would consider that next time if I'm not in the mood for red meat. Sis-in-law had a beautiful prime rib. I was almost sad I didn't get it, but my wedge with blue & filet was so good I didn't mind. Bro was the only one who might have got short changed. He had the pork tenderloin and the portion for it seemed to be the smallest of the whole table. He wasn't wild about the sauce served on top of it either. I had written off Outback Steakhouse a few years ago thinking they were too expensive and just so-so. After this visit my mind is changed. I feel I got my moneys worth and the service was on par with more expensive restaurants.

Great atmosphere, low lighting and australian decor really give the place a "personality". The food is consistantly good and the portions are generous. I'm a fan of the house seasonings on their steaks and they make a mean pomegranate mojito! Also a favorite of ours is the tuna nigri appetizer with 2 dipping sauces.

I went for the first time for my wife's company party, okay well I like the decor, the best items on the menu are the dessert and James Boag beer, ah and of course the bloomin onion. The steak I had was overseasoned and sub par for my taste. The garlic mashed potatos are an abomination to mashed potatos everywhere. Cold and old tasting. Stick with the chicken here, like the Alice Springs chicken.

The food was pretty good, but the Australian accent on their telephone machine was horrible. We were seated right away and our waitress was very attentive of our group. I was told that the ribs they serve were beef ribs, I don't think it was but it was still good and it fell right off the bone as I am picking away at it. Probably not one of the more healthier restaurants but occassionally well worth the sacrifice!

My honey and I keep going back to this place. His favorite? The Alice Springs Chicken with fries. My favorite? The Outback Special, light on the seasoning, with sweet potato! We've never waiting more than 10 minutes to be seated, even on a busy Friday or Saturday night, and the bloomin onion is of course a long-standing tradition. Fast, more than adequate service with a great big ole grin, and delicious food.

Here's the thing....We never go to this place and since it had been years, we couldn't remember why. Ok fast forward to now....we received a giftcard and we returned to this place. Now we remember! The amount of money you pay is in no way aligned to the value of the product that you receive. My husband and I were once again disappointed and it had been years since we had been there. We ordered the appetizer of chicken flatbread. It was very cripsy and soso. I ordered the tilapia with lobster mushroom sauce, this also came with veggies. The tilapia was cooked well but the sauce was so salty and the four mushrooms that were included absorbed all of the sauce. I ended up scraping the sauce off of the fish. The veggies were ok, but all in all a truly uneventful meal. My husband ordered the wedge salad with a small filet. He specifically asked for the steak to be prepared medium rare.Too bad...badly cooked, rare, rare! The rest of the salad was ok, completely uneventful also. The waitress had an issue with describing the iced tea and couldn't understand my question of if the tea was sweetened or not. I finally gave up and ordered regular tea. We said no way to dessert. Even after the $25.00 giftcard,we ended up paying close to $30.00. Way too overpriced and not even worth it.I say forego this place and hit the Keg.At least you would get your monies worth. I won't be back to outback for a good long time and I bet I remember why next time the question comes up.

For a generic chain restaurant I found Outback tolerable. I was a bit afraid to order my steak medium rare, but I took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't die. They look at you funny here if you try to order a cocktail that isn't one of the wacky-named "Australian inspired" (read:overpriced and watered down) cocktails on the menu, but do it anyway! For freedom!

Um, where do I begin?? I used their online ordering system which seemed pretty cool and user friendly, was told my food would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes, so I headed right down there to pick up my grub. Only problem was when I arrived the curbside to go waiter looked at me crazy and asked if I had placed an order. Um yes, I have the email confirmation on my phone to prove it. Apparently they missed the order and it hadn't even been started yet! So another gentleman comes out and tells me it will be a 20 minute wait and asks if I would like a soda or something. "No" I reply. I am pretty mad at this point and considering saying screw it and going somewhere else, but you know how when you have a dinner idea in your head, your taste buds kind of drive the bus? I really wanted that steak! So I sit in my car for like 10 minutes and decide I should go speak to the manager so this doesn't happen to any other to-go buyers. I walk into the bar area and ask the bartender for the manager, he says he'll go get him. The second waiter guy comes to give me my change at the bar and then shortly thereafter brings me my food. Still waiting for the manager.... I ask the bartender again for the manager and he says the second waiter guy IS the manager! But he is dressed like a waiter and never identified himself as the manager! WTH?! So I call him back over to express my displeasure and let him know that now I am concerned my order will be incorrect due to the rushed nature of them pulling it together. He verbally confirms it is correct and apologizes for my extended wait. And surprise, surprise! When I get this dinner all the way back to my house, they are missing the steak sauce and potato toppings I asked for! I will go the Keg next time and pay more.

I've been wanting to try this place but always put it off. Now I know why. I always give places second chances but this this definitely one place where I will not be back. Even if a friend was like "oh hey May, come stuff your face at Outback, I'll even foot the bill!" Noooooooo thank you. I mean I've had worst food and worst service but not quite exactly at the same time. It's kind usually one or the other or varying degrees of one but this place just sucks ass for both. You know how some people when you meet them it's just totally awkward; it was kinda like that with our server. I've had super lackluster service and even borderline rude service but take in mind I go to a lot of Asian owned restaurants where service is just not very friendly because it's a rule that when you go to a super authentic Asian eatery where only minimal English is spoken you will get what I like to call "the Asian service." It kinda goes like this. They ask you what you want in like three words, you tell them using numbers (no modifications done or else they will either look at you confuse or shoot you the stink eye OR go back to the kitchen and talk mad shit about you in their language or maybe all three) and you get your food within 5-15 minutes and that is all the contact you will have with your server. Well it was kinda like that here except our sever spoke perfect English. He just chose to speak as little as he could. He takes our drink orders. It takes like 10 long minutes for them to come out because its so hard to pour two cokes and pineapple juice into a cup you see. We look over our menu. It seems limited which I guess is expected since it's a steakhouse? I chose the steak and shrimp meal but apparently I didn't because when my order came out the shrimp wasn't really there. There is where I kinda judge if you should get a good tip or not; how well you listen and interact with us. Apparently how well he listened kinda failed as he somehow forgot half of my dinner order. And then my 6 year old son ordered because I'm a believer that if you have a mouth and can speak perfectly you should use it. But then when the server went over our order my son's order wasn't on there and he looked at me and was all like "so will he be sharing food with you?" And I look at him all confused and then my bf had to explain that our son wanted the chicken fingers. So apparently my son is a stuffed monkey and shouldn't be taken seriously when he orders food that will feed him. Anyway. Food took too long to come out but we were kept busy by the breads that came out so they did something right I guess. The only good thing about my order were my steamed veggies. The mashed potatoes had no salt, my steak was cooked right but had absolutely no seasoning. I even tried pushing it off on my bf who turned it down and since I hate wasting food had to ask for a bottle of A-1 to drench my steak in in order for me to finish it. The bill was too high for awkward service and unpleasant mediocre food. Its kinda sad when I can cook a better steak at home for free and I had to pay out the ass for a steak that wasn't even good from a supposed steakhouse. The end.

Service was alright, food was awful. A few months ago, my husband and I ate here for the first time, we vowed to never return. But last night, my father-in-law was visiting and he suggested Outback Steakhouse, so we figured we would try it again. What an embarrassing decision that was! I ordered the fish and chips, I only ate a few bites before pushing my plate away. How many days was that fish in the freezer? We live near the coast so shouldn't all of our fish entrees be fresh?! Not to mention the fries were mediocre at best. My husband and his dad both ordered the New York strip. They said it was very fatty, almost rubbery, and they also did not finish their dinners. My experience at this location has been incredibly disappointing twice now. If you are reading Yelp reviews because you're hungry and trying to find something good to eat, Outback is NOT the place to go tonight, or ever!

The staff seemed to be more intent on speed and turnover, than providing a good experience. Sat at the bar and the bartender was zipping around and almost out of breath. As soon as I sat down was asked If I wanted a Sam Adams beer or a lemonade? Very odd. I asked for a wine list and then I received the meal menu also. About 2 minutes later, was asked what I wanted to drink and if I was ready to order dinner. I did order and my salad arrived about 5 minutes later along with my wine. Before I was done with my salad my meager Filet steak arrived before I was finished with my salad. About halfway thru my steak, I was given the bill and was told "thanks for stopping in". The entire meal with wine took about 30 mins. I saw other patrons receive the same rushed service. There was another patron that asked for the manager, so he could compare the beautiful picture of the steak in the menu and compared it to what was on his plate. The manager told the customer that the picture in the menu was cooked rare and his steak was medium, which will make it smaller. Are you kidding me? I left because the experience was not enjoyable. Won't be back

Woodfired steak is excellent. I love going here when I'm on a diet because the woodfired steak + steamed veggies (hold the butter) and salad (hold the cheese and croutons, dressing on the side) is a low cal high protein option! Plus, yummy! Downside? Children. Common people this isn't a DENNY"S keep your kids quiet. :/ I eat in the bar to reduce the child factor but I don't like sports either... wish they had a non family section in the regular restaurant.

Foods great. Everyone was great but the bartender was in slow motion. I've seen paint dry faster! No pep in her step! For crying out loud at least tell me "hi, I'll be right with you". Nope. No bueno. Teach some people skills to your bartender..

Outback is a chain standard, you know what to expect and it comes out pretty much the same every time. That said, the same is usually pretty good, just watch the high calorie extras, they'll really impact your diet. Nice recently renovated decor, pleasant staff. Order at the table doohikeys are kind of neat, though they can't deal with substitutions very well.

As corny as this may be, I had been begging to go to Outback when I was in Hawaii and eventually got my way last night and visited the Southcenter location. I had not been here in a very long time, but remembered a couple of things: the peachy vodka-y slurpy concoction, the brown bread with whipped butter, the tangy tomato salad dressing, and the loaded baked potato. This is a no frills, but good food, kind of place. There's a new gadget on the tables that you can place your order, play games, and pay your bill. Our sweet, young, waiter was prompt, helpful and very enthusiastic. Started out with the slurpy drink, though he didn't ask me if I wanted to make it "down under" for a couple bucks more - is that still an option? It's a $7.50 glass of goodness. I opted for the $12.99 6 oz. Outback special, which came with a choice of salads and one side. Tossed green salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, but none of the buttery croutons. I flagged down our guy and he asked if I wanted extra. I said no, I wanted some. He quickly brought out two little bowls of croutons. The steak and potato were served up and were both perfectly cooked. He was right about the coconut prawns - they were not a pre-fab product, but rather dipped and fried to order. There was absolutely nothing bad about the meal and I am not ashamed to say that I like Outback!

I really like foster beer on tap so that preference guided me here today. Really bummed that they don't have Wifi. Do the managers here know that we are in the third millenium now? Wings were ok but don't think I'll be back.

Even though it's a chain restaurant, the food seems to be pretty good every time. My favorite is the bloomin' onion and the alice springs chicken, that's the only thing I order. The menu is pretty decently priced and there are some different drink choices. We will always go back.

My friend and I went after shopping at the mall, walked right in and found a spot at the bar immediately. Had to wait a bit for a booth but the bartender was extremely nice and joked with us while we waited. Finally got our table and there was this little machine called the "Presto" waiting for us. You can view the menu, play games, AND pay your bill (there is a little slot to pay with card, and you can adjust the tip yourself, and choose between printed receipt or emailed one!) All from this machine! It was awesome. We still had a waitress though, who we did our our through because we had lots of modifications. But we played games while we waited and it helped pass the time. They have a good variety of games, games for kids, games for couples, games for families, solo games. They were a lot of fun. And the food was amazing! We didn't have anything other than water for our drinks so I don't know about the bartender's ability but overall this was an amazing experience. Especially with the presto! And all the tables in the restaurants have them, not just the bar! Always a great time at the outback, this was the best I've had so far!

Several other reviews correctly point out that the service here stinks. I've had better service at a fast food restaurant. After sitting down, it took the waitress 10 minutes to get to the table. The order was simple, steak and potato, soup and salad. Salad comes out to the table and two bites into it here comes the steak. A quarter of the way into the steak, the original waitress comes back and I ask her to take the soup off the bill since it never showed up and I no longer want it. Instead of following what I want, she brings out the soup. It's clear by now that I'm unhappy with their service and I tell her to take the soup away. She doesn't even bother to tell the manager/owner that they have an upset customer. When I call to complain he has no clue about what happened. It's a place I'll never go again and you'd be better off avoiding as well.

Had dinner here tonight, been a LONG time since I've been to an outback. i ordered the 10 oz rib eye. its was cooked to Med as requested. There is a lack for flavor, its was just Ok to me. I ordered it with Sweet potato fries that were good but had a little too much sugar added. Ceaser salad was also ok. Overall the service was also average, i had to ask twice for some A1 but drinks were topped off and she was attentive.

I come here on/off for a few years with my broseph who introduced me to this place. This place has always been good to me and brought some good memories. A chill place, where you can bring your family or groups around for a good time. They offered drinks, good food and great service. I feel like every time I come here, this place always change for the better, now they have a machine where you can take orders and play games! How cool is that? I only see that kind of shit in Canada, but this place definitely keeps up with the new trends, which I like. Okay now for the food, I always get their ribs. Their whole portions are huge... last time I had to share my baby back ribs with my broseph and it always give off a smokey smell of goodness. They also have steaks, which personally, I don't think I've order one here, but their chicken wings...GET THEIR CHICKEN WINGS! THEY NOW OFFER A LARGER PORTIONS AND IT'S STILL SO SO GOOD. I like chicken wings, so I will be back.

If I were comparing this restaurant against it's chain restaurant competitors it would get 4.5 stars. But I'm rating this against the general pick of restaurants and this place is pretty solid. 3.5 stars in my book ***1/2. We had the Mojito Trio, and, um, YUM! So awesome! I ordered the Bloomin' Berger, eh, nothing too special. Sweet potato fries were awesome though! LOVED the bread appetizer, rocked! The service was also great! A little pricey for a chain but otherwise, good.

This place was okay. It is really the only restaurant within reasonable walking distance from the DoubleTree. Me and folks from the conference I was attending went here for dinner the first night. Great ribs, good service, but the caesar salad had so much garlic in it that it burned my mouth. Great for warding off vampires, but not good for close moments with my wife. We came here a second time ONLY because we were unable due to the physical condition of some members of my party to walk the long distance to other restaurants. Again, the food was good, but it had a spicy tang that I simply didn't want day after day. In contrast, we were more than content to have breakfast every morning at the hotel (because the flavor was not invasive), but after the second visit here I heard people say, "God, I don't want to go to Outback again." Outback has a unique flavor that is good every once in a while, but NOT regularly. There are some restaurants I could go to every day for a while, but in Tukwila, we opted to pay for a cab to drive us down the road a bit on the last night of the conference rather than walk to Outback again. This is a great place to go to every six months or so. Go more than that and you can get Outbacked out.

A bit confusing and not what I expected. I had dinner here again because I saw an ad for a steak and lobster for $15. I was close to the Tukwila Outback so I decided on dinner, they don't do lunch. When I checked for a special I only noticed the Outback special for 6oz steak and lobster with mushroom at $15 so I ordered it with an upgrade to 9oz. I asked for a salad with vinaigrette dressing. What I got was mustard vinaigrette, not what I would have ordered. When I got the steak there was no lobster but a lobster sauce. The sauce was very salty. I should have asked. I asked for the steak to be medium and they gave me one that was rare on one side and medium well on the other side. Not too happy about the $30 dinner (with tip). It should have been a much better experience.

Had the Filet Wedge Salad tonight--HOLY TOLEDO, that was good. I don't usually get too excited about chain food, but this is one of the best steaks I've probably ever had. I thought it was going to be some small pieces of steak, I didn't realize it was a full little filet mignon. Plus the salad wedge with bacon was great. Service by Moody was outstanding, attentive, and cheerful. Overall, a fantastic visit--we'll be back!

    1. Their soup, coffee and even bread were all barely warm. 2. McDonald's chicken salad is way better than their $13.99 one. 3. Watch your bill. They charged us an extra beverage!!!

This was a terrible experience. I could only eat about half of my 6 ounce filet because it was loaded with nerves. I doubt it was actually a filet. Seemed more like a cheap round steak. The server was very rude and seemed bothered by the fact we were there. Her tip reflected how much that bothered me. We got our appetizer within five minutes of ordering, 5 minutes later got our salads and five minutes after that got our dinner. I mentioned this to the person who brought our food as she was sliding it across the table to us and she just replied, 'that's a lot of food.' The lobster tail was like rubber. The wedge salad was wet and the lettuce was yellowing. My husband's steak looked like a strip of leather. I eat out a lot and I am not concerned with a $100 bill unless the food and service sucks. In this case it did. It was the worst $100 meal ever. Not sure if all Outbacks are like this or just this one but I am not willing to risk it. Never going to Outback again!

This was my first time trying Outback Steakhouse and I have got to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The food in the commercials always looks scrumptious so I was curious to see what the real thing was like. The restaurant is very family friendly and casual. There was a computerized touch screen menu at our table that allowed us to order without even speaking to the waiter if we pleased. We ordered an appetizer, the bloomin' onion, which was deep fried deliciousness. It was a little greasy but so so good. There was plenty and it was filling. I got a BBQ bacon burger and my boyfriend got a sirloin steak and we were both pleased with our meals. All in all, it was speedy and the service was great. The computer ordering was interesting, I wonder if that will become a norm in the chain restaurant industry. If it does I can't say I hate it, it was speedy, proficient and there were pictures for everything. All in all good experience! I would go back.

Sunday night dinner in the bar/lounge. Loved the new ordering system which is just a computer touch screen. One of my pet peeves is cheesy fake conversations that service people want to have with you while they take your order, so it was nice to nerd out and do the ordering myself! Meal was great. Appetizers were great. Steak cooked perfectly. Great night out!

Ate dinner after shopping at the South Center West Field Mall and in hindsight should have eaten in the mall The orders were basic, 10 oz ribeye with (2) side dishes (Baked potato and steamed veggies) and salmon with steamed veggies. The salmon was not satisfactory and the steak was nothing special. Ordered a virgin pina colada which was not potable, I ordered Heinkein so can't go wrong, Service not bad, not great. Bathrooms very dirty, not good thing for restaurant. Did not get sick, thank goodness, would have been horrible plane ride home if I did, Will skip this place next time.

YUMMY! The food was amazing! I think the order machine may be making service a little worse though, because we could self service so much we never had drink refills and they only checked on us when they were bringing us things. So ya bit of a bummer on the service front but the food was so amazing!

I've always had a good experience here. Waiters are always friendly and willing to answer any question (I'm always asking which cut has more fat hehehehehe) and the atmosphere is super laid back. I've had the bloomin' onion twice and I don't know if it's just me but both times they were super bitter... so I don't think I'll be getting that anymore. The Kookaburra Wings are pretty good! They add blasts of flavor and spices in your mouth with each bite. The Coconut Shrimp isn't so bad either. I wish they gave more but eh... If you're a fan of coconut and like things on the sweet side you'll most likely like this appetizer. Classic Blue Cheese Wedge Salad - I had this with caesar dressing and I loved it. It was such a fresh start to my meal. The three cuts I normally get here are the Outback style prime rib, New York, or the Rib-eye. I'll tell you that ALL of these are YUM!!! ESp, the fatty parts ;) MmmmmM! hehe I love 'em all with the loaded baked potato too but the fries and mash aren't bad also. When I'm craving steak, I don't mind outback. Good for if you're on a budget.

I agree with John E. If Applebee's gave birth to a steakhouse. This would be it. Cheesy music. Friendly service. Cheap steak. I tried a 12 oz ribeye for $22. It was on the salty side and the quality? If you're familiar with the steak cuts from WinCo, it tastes like they got their meat from there. However, the dish DID come with 2 sides. I tried some grill veggies (tiny portion) and some sweet potato fries (decent) My friend tried the filet & grilled shrimp on the barbie ($17) . The pre-sliced filet was more of a prime rib (served medium rare). From the look on her face, I don't think she liked it very much. We decided against the blooming onion. Over 1,500 Calories? No thanks.

One day, my hunny and I are going back to this location for some good-time memories of our early courtin' days for that great margarita I had the last time I ate at this location. Don't remember the food, but I do remember the booze. It made me so drunk, I had to lie down on the enormous seat benches that they have to stop my head from exploding. Then I think I walked on the curbing in the parking lot to prove to him I was sober enough to drive. Yeah, I'm an easy drunk. At an Outback, no less.

I went here because I love Outback, but was very disappointed when my burger I ordered medium/ well done came to me very rare. The waitress told me that is how their medium/well is cooked, but if I insisted she would send it back. I asked her to please have one cooked a little more done. I don't mind medium, but I do not like raw. A few minutes later she came out with me a hamburger and it was cooked medium/ well. The part that grossed me out was it was my original burger. I could still see my own bit mark. When we asked the waitress about this she said it was their policy to put all returned food back on the grill. She brought over the manager and he confirmed that all returned food goes right back on the grill with the food being cooked for everyone. I find this to be a gross practice and I do not think I will be returning.

The most amazing sweet potato fries i've ever experienced. Not sure what they put on them, but they were delicious. My boyfriend ordered a steak, medium. It came out very much on the rare side, which was kind of gross. He ate it anyway, said it was good but not for the price. I had a side of rice that was really bland and greasy tasting. The house salad was yummy. Finished with "thunder from down under" or whatever cheesy thing they call it, a warm brownie with ice cream. This did not disappoint in the least. Very yummy. Service was poor. Waittress forgot to bring things, was slow to refill drinks. Bathroom was disgusting. Out of seat covers, 2 stalls out of toilet paper, and no paper towels. I won't be going back, unless I have a gift card or someone else is buying. The sweet potatoe fries would be worth it then.

It's Applebees with the lights dimmed. We never even made it past the five minute wait while an overplayed song by The Eagles was blaring. After noticing the prices are only a few bucks less than JaK's Grill, we bolted for West Seattle and a real steakhouse with bigger, very tasty steaks and prices about $5 higher that includes a salad. Thank God we left. I will never go Outback. Aussies should be angered.

It is good for steaks. Not very healthy, in fact, 2 of the items fall in the 'worst items' ever, the blooming Onion, and the chili cheese fries. When I have gone there, I usually get the filet mignon, with a blue cheese crust. I have also had the horseradish crust, both are pretty good. Go with the baked potato. It is in the mall zone area, so traffic can be a pain.

We ate there last week after not visiting an Outback for several years. Overall, the food was ok, but nothing special. The french fries were very limp and soggy, and the blooming onion was a big disappointment. Our server was average, but rolled her eyes at my wife when she complained about the drink she ordered. The picture of the sangria on the table menu looked great, but when it came, it lacked all the fruit and color shown. The drink was replaced by another that wasn't much better. For $7 bucks, it wasn't worth it. We spent over $60 for 2 of us and have to say, we probably won't be back soon. At least the restaurant was very clean and updated.

Typical? yeah... Ribs were ok. My g/f's ribeye was so so, they didn't trim the fat so there was a lot of cutting to be done. The bread they bring out is probably the most delicious part of the meal. The blooming onion was looking good on food network and so we ordered that too... albeit it was good but it was too much for too as it ends up being too greasy and just blah by 1/2 way through the blooming onion. Anyhow, I think the ribs were ok, the steak was subpar and the whole atmosphere is A-OK.

Service was so terrible and I am not impressed by the food either. They have these new kiosk type order systems on the table that are not even explained to you when you are sat. It looks like you are supposed to make the order yourself, so what is the point of a server? I think if I am paying $20 a meal, I would like an actual person, not a machine to take my order and make sure the orders come out great. We had to eat the appetizer at the same time as the entree because they guy came out and left the appetizers so quickly, we couldn't even ask for plates or ranch. They didn't seem THAT busy, to have such bad service. We also got the wrong salad order and the food overall was only sub-par. Maybe happy hour at the bar is the way to go here, but I am not ever planning on coming in for a full "dinner' again. One good thing...I did like the wings and the wine wasn't bad.

My husband and I were able to have a "kids free" Saturday night so we wanted to go out and have a nice steak. We didn't know of where we should go but then remembered that Outback had pretty good food (well at least 2yrs ago). We ordered and recieved our drinks and a bloomin onion...then we got our salads. 3mins into our salad our main food arrives (the table was so small there was no room for main meal and salad plates) so we hand over our half eaten salads and begin to eat our main meal. I ordered the special of the steak and crab legs and my husband orders the special of steak and shrimp scampi. We both order our steaks med.-well. I cut into my steak and blood starts oozing all over my plate, I asked my husband to cut into his and his was bloody as well. After waiting for 15mins the waiter brings our steaks back (mind you we had eaten the other stuff on our plates) they were so burnt! They were cooked beyond the point of well done. So we wave our waiter down and he says he will get the manager...another 15 mins goes by and then we were told that the manager would be with us shortly because he was handling a situation at another table. So the manager comes and he leans upon my booth with his left arm and his right hand on his waist and acted like he had some kind of concern (his body language said it all)and told us "don't get mad at me, its not my fault" and then he said he wanted to fix our steaks right. After all this aggravation we lost the rest of our appetite and refused and he eventually removed our steak meals. What a waste of a good date night!!
