I went back here today for the first time in quite a while; it will also be the last time in quite a while. In the past, I had been ok with the whole conveyor belt/kaiten style sushi thing. It was fast (once you got seated). It was cheap. It was usually of ok, if not great, quality. But, then I started to get turned off on the whole thing, mainly from a sanitary perspective. The high turnover in these places make them very hard to keep clean. More than once, I have seen intrigued toddlers lifting the little plastic covers off nearly ever plate that passes them. One time, I was in a kaiten sushi place on a very hot day. There was no air conditioning and the crowed conditions and adjacent kitchen made the place all the more hotter. The thought of uncooked fish going round and round for lord knows how long under these conditions really grossed me. I had not been back to any since. Until today. We were in the Southcenter area, wanting just a small nosh. My husband loves sushi, and it had been so long since I'd been to any kaiten sushi place, I suggested we give this place another try. Big mistake. It was prime lunch time and we had a long wait for a seat. I accept that. I don't accept that our table (really, our piece of counter) was sticky. (While we were there, they cleaned up after other patrons who were done with their meals. They cleared the dishes and such away. And, while I cannot say for certain they did not wipe down the tables/counter after, I can definitely say I did not notice their doing so.) Some of the plates were sticky. The sushi itself was room temperature. (And, really, shouldn't raw fish be served cold?) We ordered miso soup and THAT was cold. When we told our server, she took our bowls away, then came back and told us the heater being used to keep it hot had malfunctioned and that we were the first customers of the day to mention this. [BUT, I ask, shouldn't whoever scooped the soup out have said heater have noticed this? Or, the server who brought it to us?] They heated the soup for us (in the microwave, I guess), and it was ok. But, later, I could not help but wonder how long it had been sitting out not heating and was it really safe to eat. I also thought, under the circumstances, they should have comped us the soup, which they did not. Disappointing and off-putting on many levels. Even my husband, the sushi man, agrees it is not a place he would make any efforts to visit again.

Ok, ok...it's not THAT bad. It's quick, cheap and close by work. So why complain? When I'm craving sushi and don't want to spend a lot on lunch, I'd go here. Service seem to have picked up. I get my check, water and green tea faster. And I can be in and out in 20 mins and still have time to hit the mall....or make my little way over to Red Mango for some dessert =)

Not my favorite sushi place, but satisfies my sushi craving when I don't feel like spending a lot of money. All I really eat at Sushi Land is the seared salmon and the tako yaki, and they are tasty. They don't have the best service, it takes a while to get service after they seat you. But all the staff are friendly. If I feel like driving further I personally prefer Genki Sushi, their sushi tastes better and their service is better.

Service has gotten even slower. For some reason it takes two people to clean but no one checking if customers need drink refills or their checks written. Someone's takeout order was messed up but instead of ringing up other customers, the cashier waited until the order was fixed before ringing others up, causing a huge unnecessary backup. It doesn't help that there's only one cashier. I would give this place 0 stars now if I could. Not coming back.

The prices are good, but the food was OK to poor. It seemed like most of the rolls that passed on the conveyor belt were some combination of cream cheese rice and fish. I tried two plates and decided to leave. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Coming back to this place after many long months was okay. Although when I picked up the Crab salad roll off of the conveyor belt, it tasted a bit too creamy till I saw another that was more crab n less creamy at the right amount. Their service was okay and I had a good evening with my mom and sisters when we were there today 3 hours ago before a lot of people showed up waiting to get a booth. Miso Soup was good. I can definitely make some of that at home. Finally, I had Green Tea ice cream flavour and it was good (: Until I see more improvements when I come here the very next time, then I will honestly give 4 stars.

I wait for 40mins to getting a seat to sit down. Even there are many empty seats available during the time. 2:30pm. The hosts is counting the tips, pay a no tension to customer at all.

I enjoy sushi. It used to be a Sunday traditional with my family to go to the location in beaverton, or after church. I shared this tradition with my fiance and we have been going as often as possible. I have loved sushi my we life. This however was a subpar experience. When we entered, there was a rather long gone wait. I am used to waiting for sushi, especially at meal times. The wait this time did not make sense though because over half the seats were open and clean and ready to be used. There were about six parties wait g to be seated. Not to mention the line for to go orders. Overall, not a pleasant experience this time.

If you're looking for decent, not top of the line sushi, this is perfect for you. Belt and call order. Once again, decent pricing. You will get full for a good price. I love the seared salmon. Good for bigger groups, but be patient because it seems that the waiters are always busy.

I used to love Sushi Land, but it's either gone downhill since then or I just came on a really bad day. I was in a party of two and there were no people waiting and obvious spaces available around the belt. The hostess said we had to wait, so we waited for about ten minutes before she flagged down a waitress to look for seats for us. We then were seated in two seats that were right in the hostess's line of sight - I don't know why we had to wait so long or why she acted like there were no seats open. The service we received was really weird too. The waitress just kind of shoved our glasses of water toward us and had us take them out of her hands. When we finished eating, we had to wait yet again for another ten or fifteen minutes to get our bills. Several waitresses passed us and saw us just sitting and waiting for our bills, but we had to notify one of the cooks to get a waitress to come over to us! She also just shoved the bills at us. It was a really bad experience and I was quite shocked considering I used to enjoy eating at Sushi Land. The only positive was that the cooks were really attentive, I should have directed my tip straight to them.

If this place served me the best sushi of my life, the crappy service alone would still warrant and overall 1-star rating. This however, wasn't the case: the service was horrible and the food sub-par. I was never asked if i wanted something to drink (my server didn't even give me water..??). I thought i was asking my server for some udon, but apparently i must've been ordering some attitude, because that's all i got. Also, "Sushi Land" is kind of a misnomer. It should be called "California Roll Land", because that was about the only thing going around the track. If you're in the Southcenter area and craving sushi, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

If you are craving for something cheap and average sushi (taste and place wise), this is a good place. I've been here twice and the only drawback is the waiting line. You have to wait from 15 mins to 30 mins. We were also seated next to the cooks. I've seen everything how it's prepared. Yes, they follow sanitary measures with gloves etc. The only thing I was kind a disappointed is they use frozen sushi for the "deep fried sushi". Or it needs to be frozen so that it's crunchier after it's deep fried? Not sure... Everything is pretty good but I'm wishing they have more variety. After few minutes, you'll see the same item all over again. I know... it's conveyor so that's the purpose but you know what I mean. Did I mention we were seated near the preparation/fryer area? After we left the restaurant, I just smelled oil etc on my clothes and jacket! I wrote somewhere that it's my pet peeve when a restaurant doesn't have enough vent to suck those smoke etc. It didn't affect my review on this one though... if the whole restaurant smells, that's a different story.

I'm going to make this a quick and painless review. Pros: -Cheap conveyor Sushi plates range between $1 - $3. Cons: -Long wait -No drink refills (unless it's a full moon OR you know how to taxi-whistle...but please don't) -I would be amazed and suspicious if they passed a health inspection.

Just saw them drop fried rolls on the ground and them cut them up and serve them what the hell!! They all talked about it were going to fry them again but cut them up and passed them out. How did this happen ? This is not ok

Marinepolis Sushi Land - a New Sushi Joint in Tukwila??, This is actually the 5th & newest location in WA of the Marinepolis Family. Located Next door to Acme Bowl & Just across from South Center Mall. Sushi-go-round I call it, also know as kaiten-zushi. Today was actually my first try with Marinepolis Sushi Land. My First Impressions of the Venue were really nice. The inside was still bare/empty.. not to heavily decorated probably since it just opened. Plenty of seats to go around. The Prices are really Affordable & the Overall Quality was good. I had a very welcomed feeling, The Employees were very attentive & Polite. The Sushi chefs offered special requests. Most people refer these places as Yesterday Sushi Leftovers....Marinepolis Sushi Land in Tukwila did not Disappoint. This is a great place to check out if your looking to try Some Yummy Raw Goodness, without heavily emptying your wallet so you can go Bowling nextdoor & Mall Shopping After-wards. Location..Location... Location..wins it for me, especially since its so close to home =D

Perhaps its not the best sushi in the area, but it is what it is. I like the idea that I don't have to choose one particular roll and stick to it for my entire meal. As indecisive as I am, I like to have a variety in front of me, and this is just that. Conveyor belt sushi is what I call it.... and there's no other way to really describe it. The service here is okay... but I can say that it is better than the Bellevue location (one of my first reviews, actually). This location is probably the biggest out of three I've been to (downtown Seattle, Bellevue, and now Tukwila). The sushi makers are pretty attentive so don't hesitate to ask them to make something that you don't see on the belt. They would make it right away and even bring it to you so no one else can snatch it off the belt before you can. The calamari is good... and a good size... for only $1.50!! Try it with the spicy orange sauce that they use for spicy tuna and others. You'd have to ask the people making the sushi for some if you don't see it on the belt (which usually they don't have it), but that sauce makes a huge difference! Secret: I always ask for the sauce and I eat it with almost everything I get because its not only tastier, but its also cheaper!! You compare two sushis that are identical except for one having some of the sauce drizzled over it and its about 50 cents difference. If you get ten plates, BAM! Thats five bucks difference! Cha-ching! I just hope they don't start charging for the sauce like at McDonalds or something. My favorites? SEARED SALMON!! You MUSSSST try this one! They usually don't have it on the belt, but just order it because its pretty popular and they don't have it on the belt because its best when its hot! Don't question it... try it... $1.50... on me if you can find me! :D Baked mussels! Nom nom nom... not really sushi, but its still good as heck! Like I said, the calamari and hot sauce! Ahhhh... salivating as I type because I'm hungry and poor so this is the spot for me! Too bad its a thousand miles away now. Womp womp womppp!!

Conveyor belt sushi. The prices are reasonable. It's a good place to get a generic fill of sushi on a budget. Otherwise, if you're looking for quality crafted sushi, go spend the extra $ somewhere else.

This place, in particular the Tukwila location, is horrible. I've eaten at the Queen Anne location and it was alright but this location is pretty bad. The tables are sticky and the little plastic displays for specials on the table are sticky and crudded over. The plastic tops on the revolving sushi are all scratched and clouded over. The quality of the sushi is so bad and the rolls fall apart. It's pretty disgusting.

  • Nicholas H.

I liked it. It wasn't gourmet Sushi, but I don't think that's what one should expect when food is made on an assembly line and delivered on a conveyor belt--that's like hoping for a Lamborghini when you go to a Ford dealership. The textures weren't as good as Blue C, but I thought the selection was better. Service was prompt (you can ask the guys cutting fish to help you, and they won't be pretentious and act like that's someone else's job). And prices were good. The California roll was delicious, and their misu soup is good too.

Sushi land is the place to go if you either are a sushi-beginner or want a quick cheap sushi meal. Since it is conveyor belt style, choosing what you eat is easy - they are good about having a decent variety going around and they have a picture menu. (But don't be rude and put it back. If you need help, ask or just be adventurous and try things.) Everything here is standard American sushi fair. Prices are cheap and haven't changed much since when I first ate at a Sushi land years ago. Same goes with the taste and that is a good thing. I've tried too many sushi places to ever be blown away at Sushi land but I come back because I feel I get a good deal for my money and convenience, unlike some rival conveyor belt sushi restaurants. Try the salmon skin roll or creamy scallop. Some things to know - many locations can get busy but the wait is usually not more than 15 minutes. If it's busy, you need to be comfortable with sitting next to strangers. Sometimes people can get packed in. And again, don't be rude - take it off the belt and you bought it. Sometimes the calamari, while it takes a while to fry, is worth it, when whomever making it doesn't go heavy on the salt/seasoning, and doesn't overcook it, which leads to an overly chewy experience. Although it doesn't exist in Japan, try some spicy sauce. I am not 100% sure what it is, but I think that it might be srircha sauce and mayo? Service is pretty much non-existent, although you can always see them all milling around. It is the worst out of the sushi lands that I have tried, but eventually, someone will eventually refill your water and tea and take an order or two. It just depends on how long you're willing to wait. This location, versus the ones in Bellevue and Seattle, is nice, due to its ample parking and ability to seat more diners. The murals on the wall are fun and lend to a funky atmosphere. Although waiting in line is never fun, they accommodate those who have to wait, by providing booth seating. Don't come here for good, high quality sushi. Don't come here if you want to be respected and paid attention to as a customer. Come here if you're in a hurry or are looking to have an affordable meal or wanting a sushi fix. There is nothing really remarkable and amazing about Sushi land, so don't set your hopes too high.

Great place to get a quick sushi fix. Quality isn't all that, but hey, for these prices and easy access to your food, you can't complain too much. Oldies but goodies here are the seared salmon, creamy scallop (add some spicy mayo on top), spicy tuna and the agedashi tofu. The broth is what makes me like the agedashi tofu here. Be sure to be a little assertive if there's something you want that's not on the belt. The sushi chefs will be more than willing to get you hooked up, but you just got to get their attention.

The sushi here is ok... You can't really expect great sushi when it comes to cheap sushi chain places. I recommend this place if you want to eat something Asian and fast. Aside from the sushi, I think the restaurant can improve by training their employees about better customer service. The waitress last night 3/2 around 8PM didn't even greet us. After we sat down, she came by and just threw the chop sticks on the table and put down the glass of waters in a very apathetic way. The Hispanic woman at the cashier was very impolite. She just took my cc give me the receipt to sign and didn't say anything. No thank yous to any one. I didn't even hear her say thank you to the customers before us. The sushi chefs should be more attentative to the customers. I didn't see a single chef try to make eye contact with customers to see if they need anything or even ask if anyone needs anything from the menu. The poor customer service pretty much downgrades this place. I've been to couple belt sushi places and this place is the worst I've been to as a sushi restaurant.

I went there for lunch today. It's my third time there. I wouldn't call it good eats. But it is cheap eats. The plates are generally from $1.50 to $2.50. The staff is always friendly and the place looks clean. It gets really crowded for dinner. So at least the food hasn't been sitting around for a long time. I wouldn't bring anyone here that I'm trying to impress. But for a quick bite and not spend a lot of money, this is the place. The total bill for two people this afternoon was $14. Heck, it cost almost this much going to Burger King. I would come back here again.

Sushiland's my favorite sushi place. Everything always tastes good and is so cheap. I love their udon soup and their calamari. Around lunch time gets a bit busy and when you start seeing less and less on the conveyor belt. Other than that, the waiters and waitresses are nice! Try their mango icecream - tastes great!

Three stars, barely. Elena has some very accurate things to say about Sushi land, but first, look at point #1 A decent selection of decent quality sushi at excellent prices. Yes, it is a decent selection of decent quality; but I don't want decent quality sushi, capeesh? I won't go back here again because for $15, I expect better than just 'ok' stuff. The other qualm I have about this place is the service. Because they hire (at least the day I was there) very young people, you get a level of 'I don't care-ness' about the service you receive. If I worked in the area, I might go every once in a while, but since I don't work in the area, see ya, sushi land-our relationship was short, but I'm sure you'll meet other people; really.

This place is recession proof! So inexpensive, it has you checking the prices over and over again. You grab a dish (conveyor belt style) and you look at the color and realize that you're holding a dollar fifty worth of food in your hand. It's almost cheaper to eat here than it is to eat at home. To top it off, green tea is free! For such amazingly low prices, you obviously are not getting choice cut of tuna and no (that I've seen) hamachi in sight. But the calamari is delicious (yes, I do enjoy it greasy and chewy) and there's hot sauce going past you every so often. No wonder it's usually really crowded! Arrive early and put your name on the list.

I'm def a regular The sushi is good, the salads and veggies are good also. Service is always top notch Puyallup has a location across from the Best Buy! YES!

This place is conveyor belt sushi, not expert chef sushi. You walk in, sit down, eat, pay, and leave. Easy, quick, good. There are places in town for better sushi - for more money - and you can get grocery store sushi (worse) for less. This place fits the quick work lunch market fine. There is often a line at lunch so get there early.

We go here every Sunday between 11 to noon. This place can be packed if you show up around 1pm. Food are fresh, alot of selection, quality sushi at excellent prices. We love their deep fried squid "calamari", tofu soup, california roll, save room for their red been ice cream. Service is great and plenty of parking.

Sushi on a conveyer belt! Who came up with that? This is heavon on earth..... Nirvana Ok, so who likes sushi...well the question is who doesn't like it! You walk in and you are seated next to a conveyer belt. You see little plates of three colors; blue, green, orange and purple. Little plastic trays adorn the top of each plate. The little plates are placed on the rolling conveyer belt around the restaurant. You pick what sushi treat you like and eat until your fishly little heart is content. Green Plate: $1.00 Typically on this plate you'll find more of your basic sushi delights. California rolls, veggie rolls etc. Most have 2-4 pieces of fairly sized sushi. That's like .50 cents a piece! My favorite green plate sushi is a yellow egg wrap filled with tuna and cucumber! YUMMO Orange Plate: $1.50 On most orange plates you got the 2-3 pieces of a good sized sushi roll, the 4 roll pieces are a delight to see on the belt. My favorite orange plate treat is the spicy salmon with tobiko. They also have a yummy elcair desert on the orange plate special if your lucky Blue Plate: $2.00 Most of my favorites are on the blue plates. Tempura sushi rolls, Panko slathered rolls (japaneese bread crumbs galore), eel nigiri and my favorite! baked muscles topped with a yummy sauce! Purple: $3.00 Although the menu advertises these plates as 'Purple' they are floral decorated. They consist mainly of the straight up sashimi ( 3-5 slices depending on what cut of fish), the bigger more complex rolls (dragons, rainbows, phillies etc). They mostly have the bigger pieces of sushi as well. I can't help but grab a few of these elegant delights a couple of times! Overall, this is the place kids. I know they have a few locations throughout the Seattle Area. When I tell my husband I want 'conveyer belt sushi' he knows what's about to go down! And that's sushi on a conveyer belt! Ok, so past the novelty. The service is not so hot. I too experienced the waiting when there was empty seats available. My theory is that: 1. They are cleaning and prepping the area 2. They want to create a 'night club' concept, you know the kind. This place is so hot you have to wait to be seated! Tell your friends! And, the servers are young and have no concept of customer service. We were seated, then given drinks, and then never seen again. We had to hunt someone down for refills. P.S: I hoard spicy sauce, because i want some on every bite of sushi!

    (4)
  • Christine S.

Good food, but their customer service is not that great... I usually have to order the items I want because they're not on the belt to conveniently grab. The staff will seat us, but does not check to see if we're doing okay. When we ask for assistance, the staff does not seem too happy about helping out with whatever we need.

This is probably the biggest (and busiest) Sushi Land location. It is located near the mall and everyone and their mom seems to know about it. Try to go when it's not peak eating time (aka 12-1pm etc). My favorite part about this place is their decision to not squeeze mayo or sprinkle raw onion on everything. This means crab stick - no mayo drizzle. This means salmon nigiri style - no mayo drizzle + no onion slices! For some reason, the Queen Anne Sushi Land *loves* throwing that swirl of mayo and sprinkling onion w/ a swirl of mayo on most their items. I am starting to see that the Lynnwood Sushi Land does the same. Oh well, I am sure they know their customer demographics better than me. As long as they keep making fine, delicious tasting sushi, I am good to go! HIP HIP HOORAY FOR SUSHILAND!

Walked into this place and stood for over 5 minutes without anyone greeting me. Nobody even sitting at the front to greet people as they came in or keep track of who was waiting and who hadn't been helped. It was complete chaos, I'll never be coming back here and I will surely tell everyone I know not to either. Judging by how many stars this place has I'm not surprised at the service. This is why you ALWAYS CHECK YELP FIRST

The only time I come here is when I'm at Southcenter and I gotta have my sushi fix. Other than that, I avoid this place and I go to Ghenki's instead. The service sucks. Neither the waiters or chefs are very attentive at all. I'm either waiting forever for my check or waiting on an order that I put through for calamari. I try my best not to order anything because I know that they will take forever to make it, and on many occasions have served people that ordered after me, before me. They used to be really busy. Lately, the few times I've gone, they've been really empty. And their conveyor belt has been empty as well. Womp.

I've been going here for a couple of years now. The food is delicious + cheap and the waiters are quite nice. However, it's somewhat dirty. Maybe they should invest in more outfits for their workers-- their typical outfits look a bit dirty... + their work area seem very unsanitary. The best part about this place is the rotating belt and black chalkboard with cute drawings.

  • Kaila M.

This was my first time at a Sushi place where the food was going around on a belt. You simply chose what type of food you wanted as it went around! I love this concept. Not only do you not have to worry about what the food looks like before you order... But the plates are also color coded so you know the prices! :) The food was delicious and I enjoyed the Krab Salad rolls the best. My husband also enjoyed this process because the prices were totally reasonable. The staff were very friendly. One of the sushi makers told us to not be afraid to ask for whatever we wanted it we didn't see it on the belt. I thought this was totally great because a lot of times I don't like to come across as needy... So I remain silent. Overall, great place for a lunch date. Great staff. Yummy sushi.

  • Terrance D.

This place is slowly going downhill over the past 5-6 years that I've been coming here. There seems to be not enough staff. The sushi does not seem fresh anymore. I stopped coming here. The only reason to come back is to eat calamari, but only to go.

Sushiland is my go to quick "healthy" food place. It's quick, cheap and service is usually not bad. The Tukwila location is much bigger than the Seattle one and I've never really had to wait too long to be seated. Personally, I don't get many things off the belt, but instead order several dishes as I'm seated. Try the seared salmon, creamy scallops, eel, spider roll and the udons.

My companion and I came here for lunch during weekdays. It's easy to find becase it's right in between LA Fitness and AMC Bowling. You won't have problems with parking. I arrived first, signed up, and probably waited for 5 mins. Then, we got seated. The restaurant itself is fairly big. For some reason, it smelled very greasy! When I walked towards to where I got seated, it was slippery. Food was ok. Well, you get what you pay for. So, I shouldn't complain. The service was good. The server stopped by a few time filling up our tea. Between two of us, we only ate $23 worth of food. Small appetite I guess!

  • Amy W.

I normally really like Sushiland, but maybe it was the timing of when I came in. I came in during the 3 o'clock hour. Waited 20 minutes for my name to be called for a seat and finished eating in 10 minutes. In the past, I normally see a lot of what I want. But like I said before, could be because I was between the lunch and dinner rush, I couldn't find more than two things that stuck me as appetizing enough. Yes- I know I could order, but I wasnt in the mood to wait.

We love Sushi... I have a special place for sushi land since I lived on lower Queen Anne and often visited the 5th avenue location for a quick dinner on my walk home. Once I moved to south Seattle I was happy to learn about the location by South Center...until our latest visit. We were seated in the back by the fryer which is entertaining to watch...except for the fact that there are a few handling violations that appear right before your eyes...handling food with gloves and then touching the door handles of the freezers, pulling product then back to the food. (Eww) Uncovered product on the line, serving chipped saki cups and MICROWAVING saki?! What?! The menus seriously need to be replaced...laminated and taped over and gunk peeling, crusted with food. And the smell back there...it must be the small freezer/refrigerator units and the air coming from them because there was a distinct fishy frozen-y freezer burn-y smell coming from back there. Messy. That TV tray they use as a table by the fryers seriously needs to get disinfected or thrown out, because again, eww. It will be a while before can go back there, cheap "fresh" sushi or not...

I have noticed over time the service and sushi have gotten really bad. Before the service used to be on top of it and you'd get what you asked for in a fast pace and the sushi used to have so much variety and you can tell was made with care. But now, Sushi Land has became the McDonald's of sushi. There's no workers and once you ask for something your order gets passed along from worker to worker till someone actually does it. What's rotating on the belt looks like it's been on there for ages, when you ask for something from the chefs they talk to you very rudely. The workers all act like they've never worked there before and look extremely clueless to what's going on. Sushi land used to be packed with customers and over time the customers have decreased because the quality has too. Go to Genki.

Living in Renton for years, this place was pretty close by and I used to like coming here. The food isn't bad for the price and what it is. The wait times aren't bad either, there was a few times I came here and it was 30+ mins. Now coming here lately it seems people at the register and sitting you could be less rude and short. I can deal with that but what really sucks is when they forget and mix up orders. If you sit down and order something then about 10 mins later another group sits down and they order the same thing and get it before you, that's not good service. It's even worse when you see it happen to others as well. The way they take orders can cause some confusion with people the waitress trying to yell across the way to the cook while the music is going and people are talking. Add to that the cleanliness seems to also be going downhill. They could do a better job of cleaning the tables before sitting the next customer. No one likes to see scraps and pieces from the people before them.

We've been here many times. I don't expect great food or service. They have the usual conveyor belt sushi assortment, nothing spectacular. It's just fast, cheap and convenient. If you see something you like, grab it :).

I love going to this place. Took me in the first time that I sat and ate. Nearly every time that I go I am beginning to fall back in love with the food! They prepare everything for you by hand, and have always seen them wash their hands all the time. If you wanted to go here, this is somewhere that you would go if you were on a date as a teen, wanted a cheap meal, or going somewhere quick for a bite. The waiting experience could be a little better. I would really enjoy if there was more life in the place. Everyone greeting you with a smile. I would also love if there was an FDA approved door for the hard working chefs to go from the Sushi bar to the kitchen. They always seem to go to the left and under this little mantel. Ouch! Doesn't that hurt someone's back? Something that should be FOR SURE be discussed with management on the construction of the location. Also, bring a little bottle of hand sanitizer just in case for your hands cause sometimes they don't fill the women's bathroom with soap and leave the bathroom floor wet a lot. They seem to only put it in when the last employee goes in and needs it. Which is a bit concerning. I also think it's time for an overall makeover for the establishment, I have been going there a while, and it has much more potential than it's displaying itself as :) Luckily, to me the food and price is worth still going.

You won't go wrong if you're looking for sesame balls, because that's all that was on the belt.... This location is put to shame by the one in Queen Anne near the Space Needle. Not including kitchen staff there were 4 sushi chefs, 3 waitresses and 1 pseudo bus boy/waiter, but somehow they had a 30 min wait when there was 5-6+ seats open at a time. This was the first time going to a Sushi Land that was an unenjoyable experience and I do not see myself returning to this location again.

Seriously the worst service ever. Usually a 30 minute wait or longer. We finally got a table, the whole time we were eating there was 7 to 8 seats available. Around 30 people waiting to be seated, didn't set anyone in those empty seats the whole time we were eating. Very unorganized servers don't work together, sushi is alright. I'd fire all of them worst staff ever!

So I decided to give this place one more try.... And honestly, NO STAR is what thy deserve!!!!!! There was barely any sushi on the belt and on top of that, other customers were even complaining about that. The sushi makers seem like they were lazy... Also, how can you guys not have clean dishes ready to go?! ITS NOT LIKE YOU GUYS DO A GOOD JOB WASHING ANYWAYS. (Dishes are always dirty) I ordered beef udon because udon is usually good here... I was watching them make the udon and they rinsed the frozen noodle in the sink under warm water with no dish.... I threw up a little just watching them make my food with no care.. The beef was so cold it was still stuck together by the fat.. The broth was warm.... It was just gross. Decided to order calamari because it never disappointment me.... What do you know?! It was DISGUSTING! The batter wasn't on, the calamari tasted like it was old calamari that was just refried. Who ever rates this so called restaurant more then 1 star must have never had quality sushi before at a sanitized, professional environment before. Like seriously guys?!?! You have how many locations in the northwest and how can all of them SUCK?!! CORPORATE YOU NEED TO STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING. 259 reviews and 2 and a half stars?! HA! Good luck.

Yikes, that's the only word that comes to mind when I eat here now. I haven't been to sushiland in over 5 months but I decided to come here for sushi because my cousin from California was craving it. The service here was terrible. We were half way through our meal before the waitress gave us out sauce cups. My water was refilled once only because I asked the waitress to refill it for me. The calamari was beyond bland. The California roll was mediocre. And they charged me an extra dollar for the tofu udon for no reason and I specifically asked for no green onions and low and behold, there were onions. All in all, I was embarrassed that I brought my cousin to eat here. If you're looking for bad service and mediocre "sushi" then you've come to the right place. If you want good service and good sushi, go somewhere else.

To eat or not to eat, that is the question! I give Sushi Land a 2.5 star rating. Though there are some drawbacks, it's definitely a way to get quick and okay tasting sushi on the cheap. ********* PROS: 1). LOCATION: Convenient location closeby Southcenter Mall in Tukwila (by LA Fitness). 2). COST: Pretty inexpensive sushi, ranging from $1-4/ plate. 3). GREEN TEA: I dig their green tea a lot, and it's better than other sushi places I've been to. ********* CONS: 1). CROWDS: It gets super crowded on weekends and there's often a long line. 2). CUSTOMER SERVICE: It's generally inconsistent. 3). FOOD QUALITY: Sushi quality is okay, but nothing special or unique. Unfortunately, Sushi Land doesn't transport me to Japan (which I wasn't expecting it to). It's just an average /okay conveyor belt sushi chain restaurant.

Literally, hole-in-the-wall. I was a first timer, who, aside from the not-so-hot reviews on Yelp, wasn't expecting much. I'm also not a fan of fish, but was craving a mean California roll and something tuna'ish. On the plus side, the place is very cheap. My girl friend and I got there half hour after opening (on a Monday) so we were immediately seated- this is a plus, because on our way out, about a half hour later, there was already a long line; weird, because there were so many open booths. The poor place is falling apart! Not a very good first impression: Upon entering, their glass door was filthy, smudged with fingerprints, there's a big gash in the bottom of the wall; is a dimly lit atmosphere; and sadly, not a very clean environment. Soon as we sat, my friend asked if I wanted to leave, but since it was my first time, and she insisted that a few of their dishes were worth trying, we opted to stay. Their little plastic containers that cover the plates of food were stained (from obvious wear and tear) and grimey looking, so I chose dishes that weren't touching the cover. The little conveyor belt that transports the food along was dirty, with bits and pieces of food strewn along. I usually love sushi bars like this, and by the end of the meal, I'll have stacks of plates; this time, I could only eat 4 servings. The whole 'unsanitary feel' made me lose my appetite pretty fast. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even though the only dish I enjoyed was the Shrimp Tempura roll.

Yikes... All I can say is that this establishment went completely downhill throughout the years and is inches away from hitting rock bottom! Back when this first opened, this used to be my go-to sushi spot when it came to wanting cheap sushi and fast service! Nowadays, it's the worst of the worst. Long wait times even though there are more than 5-6 tables open at a time. Staff members are beyond rude and display utter obliviousness towards their customers and to one another. Need a refill on drinks? Nope! They are far from attentive and often forget about customers' orders. Oftentimes, the chefs have to call and yell out for wait staff's help in order for customer's to get their checks. Sushi plates that are rotating on the belt look like they were made from the 1800s. The quality of some of the plates is absolutely horrendous - old black/moldy avocado in my California Rolls?! Once or twice, I've even noticed some chefs who do not use gloves! This place is just a complete disaster. If I could, I would rate this place ZERO stars! They're in dire need of new management or just new staff members who actually give a flying rat's arse about their company!

read this review like Stefan from SNL. The hottest place to go for your mad sushi is Sushiland. If you like your raw sushi warm and slightly slimely - Sushiland is the place for you. If you like your sushi to crumble in to pieces when you pick it up with your chopsticks - Sushiland is the place for you. If you like to see your sushi in a covered dome with a fog of sweat covering the inside- Sushiland is the place for you. If you like your restaurants dirty and have visible signs of questionable cleanliness - Sushiland is the place for you. Let's all meet up at Sushiland!!!! Yeah! Again - read it with Stefan's voice....

Not coming here again! I was at the UPS Store nearby at around 4 pm yesterday and thought I'd grab something quick, as I often do at Blue C. The place looked from the outside like it might be closed and the windows were dirty. There were just a few people eating, and there were 3 servers at the front counter. None of them stopped their conversation to greet me or the couple that followed me in. Eventually, one led all 3 of us to adjacent tables and took our drink orders. That was the last time I saw a server. We passed dirty tables. The plates on the conveyor all were $1 and $1.50. I could not tell what was on the plates because the covers were scuffed and foggy. I chose spring rolls, tako nigiri, and some sort of fish nigiri (which was warm!). I had hoped for some ahi, maybe spider rolls, even just cucumber rolls, but nothing new showed up on that pathetic belt. After about 30 min., I gave up and got out a $5 bill, which I handed to the person at the cash register on my way out to pay for my $4 food purchase. (The ~60-cent tip seemed appropriate.) The person seated next to me told me that I needed to flag down the waitress to get my check, but I just had to get out of there.

Sushi Land what happen? I've been here on numerous occasions and everything was good. The service, the wait and everything was decent until yesterday. I took my fiancé and her friend out for dinner and it was the most horrible experience ever. We waited for about 45 minutes (kept on telling them it as worth the wait) before we got seated and they had us sit all the way in the back where the deep fryer area was. We basically sat where the employees would sit down and eat. The waitress that took care of us was really rude. I believed her name was "SALLY" as of what I was told. She totally ignored us, every time we tried to get a hold of her or any waitress at all they would just look at us roll their eyes and walked away as if they didn't see us. While we were waiting for the food to come another employee came up to us and gave us the remark, "are you still eating?" And this was about 10-15 minutes after we had just got our table. After that little incident we tried ordering other dishes, salmon sushi, and one of the sushi chefs (female with black and blonde hair) by the name of "Sarah" was also really rude. She looked like she didn't even want to be there. The tone and way she talked to us was way below standard from keeping it professional, made our sushi and didn't even give us any attention that it was ready just basically shoved the dish and our face while looking away and walked away with like disgust. Awhile after that they didn't really have anything good to eat until we were ready to check out which took another 20-25 minutes, then food started rolling out. I got so mad and FUSTRATED with the staff. They gave us that feeling that they didn't want us to be there or as if we looked like we didn't have money to pay for the food. Overall the management team there needs to reevaluate their employees or either retrain them to have better customer service skill and hospitality skills. I am really disappointed in this place.

Was there last night. Very crowded and we waited for 45 minutes because the wife really wanted sushi. We're familiar with the menu being from Portland area we have several that we visit, all outstanding. Out of calamari, yeah it happens. Nothing on the belt that didn't look like it was there for some time. We special ordered asparagus rolls and it took awhile to get it and our spicy sauce. We mainly sat there not eating because they were busy making special orders for everybody and they took a while to get out so the track was bare. Just not a very good experience as we left hungry. Not willing to wait another 30 minutes for another special order so we left. I understand being busy but a business like this knows there busy times and should have more people in production.

Cheap and decent sushi BUT bad and slow service. I think they're either understaffed or management needs to train the employees better. I swear the service gets worse each time I come here. The servers never come check up on you so therefore you don't get water refills. We ordered two different things that never came. I can pinpoint a couple good sushi chefs that actually listen and hustle but other than that this place needs to revamp their staff.

  • M N.

Me and my buddy came in here not expecting much and we were still completely disappointed. The sushi process were thin, the service was poor. I walked fifteen minutes for a refill on my tea after having waited for ten minutes for someone to stop by. Thirty minutes for an order of eel because they kept in giving the eel to other tables that didn't order it. I've been here numerous times and this was the worst experience I've had

You get what you pay for. The only good dish here is the seared salmon, that and the unlimited amount of ginger you want.

First impression is disgust. Greeted by multiple holes in the drywall behind the door, dirty floors, and dirty walls. It is pretty obvious they do not care about the customer experience. The sushi was grocery store quality. The service was slow and the employees really didn't seem to care.

Last time I will ever come to this dirty nasty place. My husband wanted some quick sushi so we decided to stop in. This place has definitely down graded. The tables r sticky n nasty. Quality of food is definitely POOR! The doors n windows seem to never get wiped down. Last, as I was eating one of the legs on my chair broke so I fell my ass straight to the floor. I will never come in ever again. However I gave them one star only because of the supervisor lady who apologized sincerely and said she would take care of the tab. Sushi land needs some work.

I love sushi, and I love conveyor belt sushi restaurants! These type of restaurants give you the option to try out the different types of sushi that they offer. Well, that's not really the case here at sushiland since most of the sushi they offer on the belt are the same ones over and over again. Basically if you want their specialty sushi you'd have to order it but that's only when you can get the attention of the wait staff. Before I go on about that, I am going to continue talking about their sushi. It's not the greatest, but it is acceptable and CHEAP! Like one reviewer said, it's "the McDonald's of sushi places" and it is indeed! Plates range from $1 to $3 so it's cheap and you can easily get full without breaking the wallet. Now on to the waitstaff. I don't know why, but they tend to disappear! They never refill drinks unless you stop one passing by you! I think they are always under staffed to the point where it's very rare that I go to a restaurant and have to ask them to cash you out, but at least they thank you with a smile! This location has much better service than the one located in Lynnwood, that one is just unfriendly! Anyways, if you don't want to spend too much on a decent sushi, but dont mind the lack of attention from the waitstaff then you should come to Sushiland!

I would rather save my money and go somewhere else. My last experience there was horrible. I spent way too long there because no one would help us. Cons: They did not refill our water even when we asked They did not remember when we ordered food and 15 minutes later we asked about it and he said he forgot. We waited 10 minutes to try and get someone's attention to get us our bill. The wait to actually be seated is really long. The rolls are tiny There was no plates on the conveyor belt. It was half empty.. Pros: They have eel sauce on the table now I only went to sushiland because my friend picked it but next time I am going somewhere else. Sushiland has downgraded a lot. They need to get it together. I would rather go to Genki Sushi in Renton.

This place is great for a on the go eat. Very cheap and you do pay for what you get. This place needs to take a day off to be deep cleaned! Not many people there when I walked in so I waited to be seated as the sign says. I asked the hostesses or servers (4 of them at the front) in the vacant spots were available and what I got from them was "oh it's not clean, we have to wait for the busser to clean it when she gets back from break." Seriously. Finally got seated, they handed me a sticky menu and the table was still sticky. The chefs were very nice, speedy, and great service. I asked for a spoon and they tossed me a plastic spoon. Never again will I eat any raw seafood from an unclean establishement.

  • Tiffany S.

Best time to come is Tuesday nights. Don't plan on getting seated quickly during the weekends. Seared salmon is the best and also the udon. The noodles get a little soggy toward the end of the day since they've been sitting in the broth but you get what you pay for. I think if you're looking for cheap and good sushi come here. Compared to places like Genki and Blue C Sushi, I believe you get your bang for your buck. If you wanted high end sushi go somewhere else.

I love sushi, but this place isn't a good place to go to--not anymore! Very bad service! It wasn't that great as before. Long waits for seating and orders, this place needs an improvement or else they could just close it down!!! I waited for more than 30mins in just 3 kinds of sushi and the employees are just very rude and careless!

This place has gone downhill from what is was before. I went here recently with my sister and it was just all right. First, when we got in, there were plenty of open seats, but we weren't greeted and we were waiting around to get seated even though the workers saw us waiting. They didn't have a lot of selection on the conveyor belt, so we just ordered everything we wanted with the waitress and she told the sushi chefs. Service was terrible, and I don't think the workers like working there. The sushi chef couldn't remember who's orders went to who, more than once. The cashier took forever even though she could see us and more people waiting to pay. I have no desire to go back here.

First off let me be honest, I don't eat fish but my fiancé and her dad love it so I go to sushi land more often than most non fish eaters. The Atmosphere: dimly lit, chilly and lots of noise. Very casual and laid back. The carasol is usually well stocked during dinner time with a wide variety of seafoods including fish, shrimp, scallops and fried foods like gyoza and desserts! There is always someone yelling Japanese phrase mixed with Spanish words or in A very distinct Spanish accent. The Grub: the food is always very fresh IMO and I have never had any issues with it. I'm no sushi snob or expert so my palette is not that picky(besides the not eating fish thing). Also if there is something specific you want that is not available on the conveyor belt you can have them make it fresh. The caveat to that is that there is a 50% chance you will not receive it at all and have to order it multiple times. You have been warned! The verdict: the fast food of sushi is what you would expect. They are no frills sushi and I can appreciate that!

  • Samantha L.

It may be cheap, but it's still a huge waste of money. I went with my friend for lunch today and we both had gyoza, fried spring rolls, California rolls & shrimp tempura rolls. We went today at 2:30 and about 5 pm my head started pounding and my stomach felt like it was going to come out my mouth. The place smelled funny, it was dirty. The service was terrible and I could tell they used sub-par ingredients. Less than sub-par. Your money would be better spent at McDonald's...you probably wouldn't spend all night wishing you were anorexic. I seriously hope I don't die from food poisoning tonight.

Stopped going here after the day there was bites of hard rice in all of my sushi. Service was never great here but I decided to go in for a quick bite with a group of friends yesterday and the service was absolutely horrible. We were seated but not given soy sauce plates nor asked for drink orders. Once we got our drink orders 10 minutes after seating we were still waiting for sauce plates. So when I asked I was told they were in the dishwasher. I then heard other customers asking servers for sauce plates too and complaining. I don't think a sushi restaurant should be short on sauce plates. So everyone just grabbed a sushi plate and used one for their sauces. We ordered some calamari and seared salmon which took forever to get. We were already about ready to leave by the time it got to us. Nothing was on the sushi line (meaning no actual raw fish). I only ate 2 different kinds of sushi. Asides from the delays none of the servers even apologized for the slow service. Very disappointed in the service here and definitely not going back to this location.

  • Martina N.

The service is horrible! "First come first serve" is a fat lie. I came here with my boyfriend. They skipped everyone's name that was less than 2 people. Anyone higher than 3 would be seated fairly quickly. Their excuse was that they did not have singles tables available and want to seat the bigger groups and have all the "single" or two guests wait for one of those spots to open. I've been here for a good 30-40 minutes. She said that was what makes sense in a "business point of view" That does NOT make sense to keep people waiting....what happen to first come first serve?

    (1)
  • Terry-Jo L.

Sushi was fair. The service was horrendous!!! I agree with what was written on most of the previous reviews. Terrible terrible service!!! Waitress actually told us she forgot about us. We basically had to ask for everything we needed, refills of bev's, food not seen in conveyor belt etc... I also thought it was interesting that a Japanese Sushi place had an ALL Hispanic work/wait staff. Cheap sushi, bad service.

    (1)
  • Jarenn N.

Went there for lunch and ordered about 8 plates for a total of $16 including tax. Can't go wrong with that! The sushi is great for the price. Which means it was decent and cheap. The staff was friendly and attentive but the restaurant was only about half full so it was expected. I will definitely come here again for quick work lunches!

    (4)
  • Vy T.

The costumer service has deteriorated over time. The chef and prep cooks forgot half of my order and when the food did come, it was no longer fresh. The avocados were bruised and the calamari was "warm." Our order kept getting passed on and on. I waited about 20 min for our order, but it never came, so I got up, paid, and left. Will not eat here again.

    (1)
  • Roy H.

Not the best thang but it will fill you up at a low cost. Quick and fast. Food is average. My calamari felt like hard rubber but it's expected.

  • Krissm A.

Place is inexpensive... Not bad at all quality. If you look up where you wait to be seated you'll find dust and debris all over, it usually doesn't bother me but they need to clean that stuff up, especially if there serving food and imagine if that stuff lands in your food and you swallow it. Other than that salmon cheek is great dish. It's cheap and convenient. Just don't go on a Friday and weekends peak hour times! Oh well I'm done son!

Customer service is HORRIBLE I. This sushi spot! I thought maybe it was a fluke and the girl was having a bad day, came back about a month later, same girl served my girlfriends and I. She must be one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. We all have or currently work in a restaurant so we try to be as easy going and nice to servers as possible. There's no winning with this girl. What we wanted wasn't on the belt so I asked if we could order with her, she rolled her eyes and huffed as she took out her notepad. Began to take my order, once I was finished my friend began to order and she cut her off rudely and abruptly saying she needed to wait that she hadn't finished writing mine down (I only order three items, two were the same thing). Anyways then our food comes, I'm handed something I didn't order confused. She in a harsh tone tells me I ordered the shrimp tempura... No I ordered the shrimp tempura roll... Which I'd already received. I ask to speak to the manager after she walks away irate and clearly talking shit as she speaks to her coworkers about the situation. The manager didn't seem to comprehend what I was saying about her poor service skills. I didn't complain looking to get a discount- this place has AMAZING sushi that is really cheap so it wouldn't have benefitted me getting a discount on my $7 bill. Just thought her attitude needed to be addressed. Needless to say none of us tipped. Which is outside of our character because we too are In the business. Her attitude was just repulsive. Shocking because there is another waitress who is always smiling and friendly when I make an inquiry. Wondering why we always get stuck with the rude girl but I. Pretty sure they pool tips so she's effing it up for everyone else trying to make any money. I'll only go back to this place because the food is good and cheap. Otherwise I'd never enter this establishment again!!!

  • Sophia L.

The food and service has really went down hill since it first opened. The only good service you will get is from the sushi chefs and preps. The servers are practically useless. They will take forever to clean up, seat you, get your water and your bill. I don't expect much from barely legal kids. They ought to teach a thing or two about customer service.

  • Anna T.

This place is kinda a hit and miss. Sometimes you get your orders really fast, and other times...they forget everything you even asked for. I come here just for a snack or for a little meal while I'm around the area. My favorites are seared salmon, and the beef udon yum! The best. Also try their mango ice cream, it's very interesting. Prices are good in my opinion $1-$3 a plate? Steals! The workers are nice as well, although sometimes it's hard to communicate with them. Be careful, the feeling of being bloated after eating here is not pleasant!

    (4)
  • Ryan W.

We used to frequent this spot because of how fast and convinient it was. However times must be hard now... this last time we went was the worst experience I've had. The selection was poor, the quality and freshness of the fish was suspect and the servings are smaller. There was also a server who was battling a cold which was evident by her frequently blowing and wiping her nose behind the service counter.... she was still washing her hands after each time.. but just knowing the fact kinda turned me off from eating there. They're still suprisingly busy, which is good for the... but for me, things will have to turn around for the positive before I come back.

I never thought I would ever step foot in another Sushiland after the beautiful Genki Sushi arrived in Seattle a few years back. But who knew that destiny would bring me back here... and I would actually enjoy their food? Oooh, so deceitful. I feel like I just cheated on Genki's, hahaha. I'm so serious though. :) So, of course, this is a kaiten sushi, with pretty cheap deals. I like how the prices have not changed (compared to Genkis). We write our names down (there's 3 of us) and wait to be seated. We wait for less than 2 minutes and are seated right away. We are seated next to the conveyor, which is purrrrfecto! We had our orders of drinks taken, and proceeded to nibble and chomp away. I must say, I am a lover of the cream cheese/salmon roll... I have to eat it everywhere I go for sushi. I simply had that (I think it was 1.50), & their deliciously scrumptious salmon skill rolls (1.00, I think). They never have the spicy mayo sauce out, but we asked and were handed the freakin' bottle. I almost went crazy and stole it--but I just jizzed out what I needed to eat my sushi. Oh, and their ginger, is on point! I literally probably ate like 5-7 slices with each of my sushi. They have the BEST ginger ever. So sweet, but so pickled and lovely. Yumm! So overall, I think we had great service. The sushi was fresh, always so prompt in making them especially when you order. they are so fast, and so friendly. I never thought I would return here (literall, I haven't been to Sushiland in almost 2 years). But I am so happy that I came back because I enjoyed my food & service.

Dang I'm kinda surprised about the low rating here. I mean I can understand why it would get some lower ratings here and there because it is not "high-class sushi" by any means but I mean come on, its conveyor sushi LOL. I do like this place and its pretty affordable too, which is a great combo in my book. I think this is a good spot for quick sushi fix when Genki is too far to drive.

I just came back from Japan and this place closely resembles a standard running sushi restaurant you would find there. The quality is NOT an A+, it is closer to a B+ but it is a great balance between cost and quality. The seared salmon is pretty darn good. Get the hot green tea and a cold Saporo beer.

This location used to be my favorite Sushiland when it first opened because of its ample parking space. Sadly, the quality of the sushi and service has degraded over the year . It has gotten to the point that I would have to get up and walk over to the register to ask a server for our check. Our sushi orders would be forgotten and all the sushi on the belt have been sitting far too long or lack variety. I will be sure to avoid this location in the future.

This is hands down the WORST sushi restaurant I've ever set foot in. It was so bad we walked out without eating. I have never been so angry at wait staff in my life. First off, I have a service dog who accompanies me everywhere. The moment I walk in, I get cornered and told, "We don't allow pets." My dog wears full vest and identification, and I was still told that my dog was not welcome.... I promptly told them she was a service dog, and that's why she had the vest on. The waitress looked at me like some sort of freak, and went and told her manager who proceeded to stare and glare at me for the remaining time we sat in this sad excuse for a restaurant. Next, apparently being disabled and with a service dog means I don't get waited on. The servers specifically avoided our table the entire time we were there. They would help the people on either side of us, but wouldn't help us at all. We finally gave up, and walked out. I sat in the car while my fiance returned to complain about the pathetic treatment we received. They wouldn't even respond to him, nor speak to him. They treated him like he was in the way, and unimportant. I am SO furious with this restaurant I will shortly be filing a formal complaint with their corporate offices, if not the BBB, and Federal Agencies responsible for protecting the rights of Disabled Americans. Bottom line, don't waste your time with this hell hole.

WOW! I don't understand why there's ALWAYS a crowd of people waiting at the door!! This MUST be a Sushi Land tactic to make it appear as if they're busy when they're NOT! Their service....well... what service...? Let's just cut to the chase--- Pros: Cheap dining Cons: Expect LONG WAIT for cheap dining

3 things: *FOOD POISONING FROM THIS PAST SUNDAY NIGHT (Feb.15) a cheap sushi date for my boyfriend and I turned into a $1000 bill. We woke up Monday morning with terrible food poisoning! I've never been so miserable. After we both missed three (unpayed) days of work, two doctor visits, and expensive anti-nausea medication, that cheap sushi turned into $1000 3 day ordeal. Unbelievable! *UNORGANIZED SEATING SCHEDULE: they wait until 20 to 25 seats are open before they seat anybody. I don't understand this. This means you will wait for "fast food sushi" for like 40 minutes to be seated. Then this creates a rush wherein the waitresses forget to bring drinks or take orders. It also creates an exit rush where all those people are finished eating at the same time so they're all checking out at the same time. Instead of a staggering eating schedule everyone is done at the same time so you're waiting in a huge line to pay. This also occupies all of the staff to except payments rather than attend to eating customers. *TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE: although the food poisoning was the last straw, we used to come here pretty often. We very frequently never get the food orders that we put in, never get drink refills (we have even gone up to the drink station ourselves and ask for a refill after like a half an hour, you would think maybe that would be a clue). Pretty unacceptable. I frequently see the same two waitresses doing absolutely nothing and not even trying to look busy. It seems management doesn't even care about that.

Seriously, I love this place, love it, love it! I like sushi. A lot. But I don't really have $50 to spend on one dinner, and that's what I'd have to do if I wanted to walk out of a sushi restaurant feeling full and satisfied. At least, that's what I used to have to do. Not anymore. Sushiland is amazing! I average about $11 here. Okay, so this is not the freshest, best sushi you've ever had in life. But it's pretty damn good. I generally like nigiri more than maki, and if you ask the chefs to make them for you instead of plucking random stuff off the conveyor belt, then you're good to go! Seared salmon is the best stuff they have. Yep, I could just eat that all the time. So yeah. Total bang for your buck, and you can spend the other $39 on stuff you really need. Like, say, the gas you need to drive to Sushiland....

There's inexpensive sushi and then there's cheap sushi. This is the latter. With $1-$3 plates, you think you're in for a nice $10 lunch. Unfortunately, it is because the sushi is so bad you just stop eating. Both my California and Spicy Tuna rolls were days past their prime, with a horrible "bad seafood" smell and taste. It was so bad, I lost my appetite and didn't even try their nigiri options. The restaurant was packed for lunch and I'm not exactly sure why. This place is the McDonald's of sushi.

this place really deserves 2.5 stars at best. i've never been a fan of conveyor belt sushi. and this place is no exception. i go only because majority rules. its a tough pill to swallow to think the one plate you picked up could have been circling the belt for the past hour. or worst yet you are about to consume a $2 piece of raw fish. it just doesn't strike my appetite as appealing. given that paying all the money in the world for a piece of fish doesn't classify it as automatically good. but you do get what you pay for in this world when it comes to food. i mean don't eat a $1 hamburger and expect a filet mignon flavor. so back to the review... i don't see/feel/taste a thing different about this place than any other place. the only thing i like are the little sweet bean sesame balls. that's all.

I'm always coming here whenever I'm in or around town. Really good prices for the plates they offer. The chefs are really nice and 8\10, you get plates that you specifically order pretty fast. Every once in a while they do forget, unfortunately, but only when there are a lot of people. There's new things they add every month or two, but their actual printed menu desperately needs to be updated. Lines can be long certain days and times. The most I've ever waited was about half an hour but, I'm always willing to.

Needed to fax some stuff at UPS, was hungry. Didn't feel like Qdoba or Pizza, so I was like, let's try this again. So on my Wednesday afternoon, after 5 months of avoiding this restaurant, I decided to give it another shot. The sushi is a tad better then 5 months ago, or maybe just because it was lunch hour? I didn't get sick, but maybe just because I stuck with safe food. Now years ago, this place made me fall in love with calamari, but it's almost never on the conveyor belt. So I decided to ask for one, and I tried calamari at other places but the price and taste is better then the calamari plates that cost like $10!

Last night was THE last time I will ever go to Sushi land. The shop was dirty ( empty plates stacked if everywhere ) looking and not busy. The service friendly yet couldn't bothered and the variety of sushi was zero. I asked for three things items, a seaweed roll, eel and sweet tofu roll. It took at least 20 mins(again not busy @ 5) to get the items I wanted and had to ask twice. When they finally were brought to me the eel was cold and the seaweed really wet. To top it off I was alone and when I asked the server for the bill she asked are you together or separate ... Excuse me? Together or separate? No it's just me..what are you talking about .. Who's going to pay for this and points to a pile of empty plates ..the person who was sitting there. Oh?! Sushi land you were a go to for cheap quick sushi but not anymore.

  • Lisa L.

Seared salmon is super good. So is the calamari. Pretty good pricing, but with that comes horrible service! Almost all of them had an attitude. I ordered two dishes for my little sister only to find it pass by on the conveyor belt. Luckily she still got one of her dishes but they basically made the order for her, and then completely forgot and just put it on the belt. They also forgot one of my dishes, and only checked in with us once. Not always a bad experience but don't expect much from the service.

Not only a Hispanic woman at front is rude to asian customer but sushi cheffs are simply stupid. Ok sushi, soy souce is some what sugar added kushu style and it is nasty for the people from Tokyo who grew up with Edomae style.

Hello? Anyone see me in here? I feel ignored and non existent! Sushi may be cheap but service here is unacceptable! Everyone appears busy but there's a lot of confusion going on. About 40 people dining I and 30 people waiting in line. 5 chefs prepping sushi but just two waitresses who are seating anxious people, being cashier and serving drinks. I ordered take out and waited about 30 minutes before having to ask for our order which had been sitting there. There is definitely no urgency to get people in and out. Hope u have a lot of time to waste if u decide to come here.

arrived two hours before closing and the staff was sweeping and hosing everything down around the restaurant full of customers. Ordered the same order 4 separate times and the incompetent staff couldn't fulfill the order even then. When I tried to order a fifth time I was told that their cleaning what is used to make it (thirty minutes before closing).

Let me start off by saying that I love sushi. Every time that I've been here there is a substantial line. I went here for lunch with my friends and ordered half a dozen sushi plates. It's not the best sushi that I've ever had, but I enjoyed it nonetheless especially considering the price. I've noticed that the cashier short-changed me one time. The cashier gives you less change than they owe you. My friend has complained about them short-changing him too in the past, so it wasn't an honest mistake. I still go here, but I always remember to pay with debit and take my receipt.

I usually look forward to eating here but my most recent experience has me thinking otherwise. Upon walking in, the hostess answered the phone which is no problem but it was not related to work at all. She was talking to what seemed like a friend about ordering bubble tea. When we finally got into our seats, our sauce plates were not clean at all and covered in old noodles. The first plate of sushi we opened had a fly fly out of it. (seriously the salmon looked grey) And when we told a waiter about the issue, she couldn't understand English well enough to comprehend what we were saying. Not to mention the guy next to me had two different plates with two different types of hair. The customer service is awful from just about every waiter. The food preparation and presentation is not sanitary at all. I'm never eating here again and I suggest you shouldn't either. 10/1/2013

If I could give this place less than one star I would. The sushi is comparable to what you might find at a gas station. The selection is between only four or five items on the belt. The wait staff is negligible and they use a lot of mayo in their sushi. Over all, if you don't care about quality or variety and just want something cheap, this is your place. Otherwise go to Blue C Sushi across the street. It's way better.

the order service is so bad. i had order udon, and it is not coming after half hour。 the servicer said that i did not order。The ice cream is bad and little, not even one scoop.

The service at this place is what got them the 2 stars. They NEVER get you water before yours is gone and you frequently sit there for 10 minutes without any unless you ask, and even then you sometimes don't get it. The food is just ok for the most part. I will say that the seared salmon they have is better than any I have ever had anywhere else.

Bro... 1. Can't multitask 2. Took 3 people to ring up 1 customer at register 3. Waited 20+ minutes for a table because they didn't clean the booths. Literally there were like 4 booths right in front of my eyes that just needed to be cleaned, but nope. They just left it and took their time. It wasn't even busy.

  • Yuen Tung P.

I loveD this place. I mean yeah, literally everything suck about them at the moment, but is still quick dinner for cheap. Only reason I want to write an update is because I feel like the waitresses there needs to be slapped. Not all, of course, but most of them do need to be slapped with a lesson in customer service. For example, you don't roll your eyes at customers. No matter what they do, you don't move your eyes in any way as to constitute it looking like rolling your eyes. And seriously, do we need a "+1" sign if we're waiting for someone too?? It happened twice to my friend while waiting for me. They sat him down, and then they seat someone else down next to him. Oh uh wait, he needed a table for two. Hmm... How will the other person fit now?? So yeah same day, it happened twice, I was just running a bit late. And he was seated twice before giving up and going back to the wait area. I'm sorry, but y'all are messed up. They also ALWAYS look like they're out of breath when you're asking for for things. It comes off as they don't wana help you. Idk I love certain things that they have, but they also really need a completely new wait-staff. Ohhhh one more thing, don't try to speak Japanese if you don't know how. It sounds so bad everytime they try to greet people in Japanese.

Despite all the negative reviews, this place will still ALWAYS be busy & packed. Why, it's cheap and cheap means it makes it's sales by getting mass group of people in & out quickly vs. focusing on service/quality. You are paying 1-3 dollars on each plate, please don't expect much. I usually just stop by for snacks because I can't stand the seafood smell here for too long, service isn't stellar, but I'm happy with it because nobody is ever intentionally rude. It's just super busy that staff is always running around which is fine because I would remind myself that I'm leaving with a bill that's less than $10 after tip which by the way if your server happens to be excellent that day, tip them on credit card instead of cash so that way they don't have to split it with anyone since they deserve it.

I think that all of the bad reviews are funny. First of all, dont expect too much from this place for the prices they offer. Fun place to hang a fang on some decent tasting raw fish.

  • Calvin Y.

It's very cheap -- prices are at placed at $1, $1.50, $2, and $3. However, the service here kinda blows. Larger groups get seated here first even though we arrived and checked in first. We ordered five dishes that weren't on the conveyor belt, but only received two. The fried foods are pretty good though.

  • Max C.

We use to frequent this Sushi Land almost twice a week. The staff were always friendly, the sushi was O.K. and you couldn't beat the prices. Most of the time we had to place an order to get what we wanted as the belt usually didn't have anything we were interested in eating. My reasons for giving this establishment one star is due to the fact that the place is really in need of a deep clean as well as an educational program for employees who do not seem to think that dropping shrimp on the floor three times within five minutes and putting it back on their preparation table is very WRONG! We would gladly return to this Sushi Land if they would not only do a deep clean and keep it clean, but also educate employees in proper food handling.

Let's talk about conveyor belt sushi for a sec. We all know it's about quick sushi at affordable prices. High schoolers and college students love it. Newbie sushi eaters can test what they want and not feel like their getting ripped off. The different colored plates represent different prices. It's on a belt and spins in a circle. If that's not enough there's even pictures on the menu to help. I fall in the category of enjoying cheap sushi with "responsible freshness." That's right, I don't expect conveyor belt sushi to be good on the freshness level. In fact, I expect mediocre fresh (ie. hard rice, shrivel seaweed, even luke warm tea, etc). Here's my breakdown of Sushi Land. For service, expect rude sushi makers and a long wait time to be seated. The waiters and waitresses are nice, but busy. For food, expect well below average freshness and taste. I'm just grossed out. We found maggots in our edamame. I'll post a pic. Maggots in your food is a violation of of my definition of "responsible freshness" in a conveyor theme sushi dining. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, hide yo husband, cause Sushi Land is feeding everyone maggots.

I think this is the only restaurant that I know is 3-star quality but that I'm here embarrasingly a lot. Really, really good sushi is actually pretty dang expensive. The artisan sushi places are like cocaine and Sushiland is like crack. You know that cocaine is way better but you can only afford crack which, in the end, will satisfy your drug habits. Sushiland will hit that crack spot. Service can be spotty and you have to flag down a waiter or get the attention of one of the sushi chefs to order from the menu. But my god, $1.50 for two pieces of seared salmon? $1.00 for fishcake tempura? You can't beat that. I'm such a crackhead for sushi.

I really like eel tempura rolls. I ordered 4 plates. 30 minutes later, no eel tempura rolls. No eel tempura rolls, no tip.

This place was disgusting. The service was slow, the food didn't look or taste fresh, the place looked nasty, the menu was unorganized and I wouldn't suggest this place. Izakya in Renton Landing is MUCH BETTER!!! Don't go!

I love sushiland... That being said, I'm NOT a fan of their tukwila location. I went there today, though the food was good an expected , the service sucked! I ordered 2 seared albacore (which never came), a calamari and a chicken karage. My boyfriend and I never got our water refilled once... Or my hot tea. The one time they came around we had just gotten our beverages. The last time was when I was fed up and decided against the refill. 10 stars for the people making the food, 1 for the shit service. The lunch rush was over and it wasn't even super busy! Queen Anne is the way to go for this girl! They have never once let me down!

I normally go to the sushi land in downtown Bellevue. They are a little smaller then this location but they have the same stuff and I love the salmon. This location.... Bigger dining area, more seats. But yet, no one is being seated. I came in one time an hour before closing and there was a lot of seats open but they just haven't cleaned the table off yet.. We waited at least 15 minutes before they seated us..... It wasn't even busy at all. My second time here the customer service was not any better but the food is still great. The girls who work here need a real attitude check. Really unfriendly, not helpful, don't even greet customers who come in. I felt very unwelcome the two times I came in. And I don't ever plan on coming again or suggesting this place to my friends.

  • Emily Y.

Sushi is fine, taste like any other sushi place. Sometimes the service is good but usually the worst service ever. Cooks don't care and and their sweet time to get your order. Or they don't even bring it. Unfriendly and simply terrible. Nothing has changed, this was a draft and I forgot to summit it. Went there recently and nothing has changed. Service is so bad that we just left and only had one plate of sushi. Went to dukes instead.

It was a somewhat packed day so we decided to do take out. Little did we know that take out took longer than it would if we had just gotten a table. there was just two of us and we just wanted something quick to go so we ordered and waited. Forty five minutes into waiting and after several people who came in after us sat down, i finally got frustrated enough to ask the cashier whats taking so long. She replies that they are only waiting for the spider roll and i walked out after that. I didnt even order spider rolls. Over forty five minutes of my time was wasted at that place.

I give 2 stars because it is cheap but I won't be back - long wait, bad service, gross stuff going around on the conveyor. We ordered several things from the menu that were okay - I guess that's what you have to do if you want anything decent because what comes around is roll after roll of unidentifiable stuff. No one checked on us after seating and taking our original order and took forever to get someone to check us out. If you want cheap, nasty imitations of sushi, this is the place. I think Blue C and other kaitens around town are overpriced but will go there over Sushiland any day of the week to actually have an enjoyable meal.

The best Sushi Land that I've tried is the one in Queen Anne. Soo many things lacking here. T he place was not full or packed, but there still was a wait to sit down. Why? It really seemed like the servers did not want to be there. Which as a human-being I can understand. But it is so unappetizing. Not to mention the rate at which they bus tables is probably why we weren't seated immediately. Also, unappetizing sitting next to plates that could bussed quickly rather than be met with an extreme lack of enthusiasm. Look, I don't like writing negative reviews. They're more taxing that writing the good ones. Service was overall horrible. Drinks took a while to get. Plates sat on tables waiting to be cleared off. Waiting to be acknowledged for a refill or even for a tally up didn't help either. The chefs, bless their souls because again as a human-being I can understand not being excited about work - had no idea the request I was talking about. Forget ordering with a server btw. But, there was only one sushi chef who knew what he was doing. These are all things I can handle. But what really put me over the edge was how disgustingly dirty this place was. If you ever go, don't look up. If you have allergies, don't look up. Because the amount of dust on the lighting fixtures will set you off. That was absolutely it for me. And it was dark inside. I don't understand...

I've been coming here at least once a week for the last couple of months and have always been pleased with the overall food and service. Food wise, I say this place is a 3 to 3.5 star establishment. However, the friendly staff behind the sushi counter have always been so kind and attentive - here's star #4 for you! Thanks for always checking in to see if I have any order requests. I'm always in and out within 30 minutes for a quick fix of seared salmon, ika, creamy scallop, calamari and a few other things. Sushiland certainly hits the spot. It's not the highest grade of sushi, but for the price - I'm definitely not complaining and neither is my wallet. :) I prefer this location over the Bellevue one - simply because it is much more spacious, sleeker and at a glance, "cleaner". Bellevue is in dire need of a remodel and update. I'll remain a loyal customer at this location unless something goes terribly wrong - which I hope not!** ** The middle-aged Caucasian manager and/or supervisor at the Redmond Sushiland was so off-putting that I vowed never to come back. They haven't gotten a penny from me in nearly 4.5 years. Every time I brought up an issue about the food quality to him, his response was "Oh really? Oh well." There is plenty more that I cannot recall but trust me, it was that bad that I haven't been back since.

Leave your standards at the door. I know it's a cheap place to get your sushi fix but when looking at the quality of service and food, I still think that the price is way too high! And that's saying a lot. People should get paid to eat here. The people that works here seems like they don't have any respect themselves or the business, so I am not surprised that they do not respect their guests either. It's clear to see, just look around the walls have holes and cracks, the upholstery on the benches are torn, graffiti all over the bathroom stalls, and back of line seems messy and disorganized... I'm glad that we don't get to see what's behind the curtain. Their way of communication is by yelling at each other, which is fine if it's effective. Too bad because with just a little bit of coaching the young staff actually have the potential to be great, but there's no leadership here. We are never coming back, sad thing is that they propably don't even care...and that's when businesses looses its credibility. Not because we are VIP or anything, but because feedbacks are the seed to growth, and they're not accepting them :(

This used to be my go-to sushi place until I started to see their proportions and food quality decrease. I usually love their deep fried unagi (eel) rolls but during my last visit, I ordered it and I got 3 pieces (usually it's four). Not only has the number of sushi per plate changed, but when I started eating the unagi roll, it was all FIN and BONES and perhaps less than half a centimeter of actual eel. Now I usually wouldn't complain if it was only on one piece of sushi, but this was the case on all four plates meaning every 12 little unagi roll was inedible. I asked for it to be remade and they looked annoyed for having to take back all 12 of these guys and having to remake it. And when I got my fresh new unagi rolls? All the same fin and bones. It never used to be this way and now I'm very disappointed because that was my favorite roll. Other than my favorite roll now being inedible, there's a reason why this place serves cheap sushi. You get what you pay for but I have to give the seared salmon a shoutout. It is usually fresh and really delicious and such a deal!

Customer service is horrible, the entire restaurant is generally dirty, and the seeming ineptitude of the cooking staff produces some of the most questionable and unappetizing food I've ever laid my eyes on. I absolutely would not recommend coming here, even just for a cheap meal. The innumerable potential ways things could go wrong for you is just not worth it.

The restaurant is for low end customers; they have cheap price, but disappointing service, treat us like trash. The cook pilled over the food on my friend and our stuffs. They apologized. That's fine, but then I ordered the sea urchin and they gave me only 1 piece (normally 2 pieces). I was surprised, and asked them why there was only 1. The other cook was acting like he wanted me to just SHUT UP AND EAT IT. I heard he was mumbling to the other that because the sea urchin was rotten and that piece was all they had. Woohoo!!! THE FUCK!!!!!

Absolutely in love with their salmon nigiri, I know simple right? But the taste is perfect. Its fresh and clean and they always have it. If you are looking for a cooked version they do the seared salmon which is pretty tasty as well.

Whenever we are in the area it is our choice for sushi, we been coming here since they opened. I know all the people that work, nice people. They are always attentive to your needs, fast service. They have a nice variety of sushi. We love the miso soup! Can't beat the price either. I wish they open one in the south side so we can eat here more often, thanks!

Came here yesterday for a quick sushi fix. It wasn't as busy as it normally is on a Saturday afternoon, but there was still a wait. Service is mediocre here. They are slow, but friendly MOST of the time. Seared salmon and udon soup is my go-to choices at this place. It never fails me. I also just recently tried their sesame balls. Pretty tasty for something sweet after all the sushi. Trust, this isn't high class sushi dining. It's quick and cheap and it fulfills the sushi crave. Which is good enough for me on a day like yesterday.

The service here has got worse and worse. Walked in to a troop of staff standing around the front desk and not a single person greeted me and my wife. Instead just looked... More than plenty of tables opened they did not even bother looking at the list yet more worried about what they are wearing or what the plan is the next day. Before it was always so welcoming now it feels like we are being a hassle for the waiting staff.. I give 3 stars because the cooks are friendly and work hard to make sure everyone is satisfied. The downtown Seattle one is much better service wise. The Southcenter location feels like a junior high school with the immaturity of the FOH staff. I hope the owners/management sees how bad the FOH is and how much it is going to effect business with people walking out and going to a competitor that has much better service. The fact that no one actually greets you and welcomes you into your business is pretty bad.

I work at Westfield Southcenter and I'm allowed a mandatory 30 minute break. I was craving sushi that day and decided to walk all the way here just to get some. I know that I wouldn't have enough time to sit there and eat so I decided to call in and order to go. Once I arrived, I was not helped at all. The female workers just stared at me and came and went without asking if I needed help. I stood there for about 10 minutes while the cashier just stood there and helped other customers who arrived after me. I finally spoke up and before I could say an entire sentence, she asked if I was the one who ordered to go. I said yes and she proceeded to tell me to get in the long line of customers waiting to pay. Yes, it would be rude of me to cut others but I was technically there first and would be done paying already if she had told me to get in line when I first arrived. It was my first time ordering to go here so I didn't know the procedure. By the time I got back to work, I only had 2 minutes to go put the sushi in the fridge and clock back on. I didn't get to eat the sushi at all until I got off work. I only come here since the food is cheap and tastes pretty decent. So last Saturday, my ex boyfriend's brother and I went here to kill some time before our movie started at AMC in Southcenter. We ordered 6 seared salmon and waited 20 minutes while we watched everybody else get their food. I told my ex's brother about how I think they forgot about us so he reminded one of the gentleman making sushi about our food. The worker replied with "it's about to come out" yet I see them just starting to make it after we complained. They also forgot about 2 other orders we had. Not that great of a place. But decent I guess. Genki sushi is better in my opinion. Although it is a little pricer.

This is a good place to come for some fast food sushi as my gf calls it lol. The price is cheap and for conveyor belt sushi it isn't bad, but I think Genki in Renton has better quality and overall better choices in what they offer for the different kinds of sushi rolls. Even though I am not a fan of eating raw fish, I don't mind coming in to try their California roll and pot stickers. Both were not bad and I even liked the pot stickers here than at Genki. One big concern was that some of the plates going around the conveyor belt had no covering for the food which made the food cold and maybe subject to other unhealthful things. The wait here can be long on the weekends as we had to wait about 30 minutes on Saturday to be seated. Luckily the name list moves quite quickly if you have a small group or a being a couple. The restaurant is about the same size as Genki or a little bit bigger, but not by much. Nothing fancy about the place and was just plain looking with a big wall painting in the back. Service was kind of hit n miss as my gf had to request certain rolls that were not served on the conveyor belt that night, but at least they were quick to fill the order. Would I come again??? Maybe for my annual sushi meal.

There were good number of people in line for this place and I was excited, thought will have a good sushi. Was very disappointed after testing one after another in search/hope to get the right one, never got worth/testy one.

Horribly slow service for takeout. I asked for basic menu items on a Tuesday afternoon, and I was told it would be 30 minutes for ordinary sushi. If you have time to waste, go here for so-so sushi.

There is not much more to say than this is low end but decent sushi that comes at an extremely low price. I usually go to Sushiland with two friends, eat until we are completely stuffed, and then end up paying a bill that might reach as high as $30 if we went -really- crazy. Not the best sushi around, but I've paid more for worse, so I can't really complain. Staff is a little hard to flag down, but if you make an effort you can get anything you want.

It's alright, busy since it close to the mall. Average wait is like 10-30mins depending on your group size. If your solo it's pretty quick, but if it's busy service will be slow. The food is average and service is average but what did you expect for a chain belt sushi spot? Be careful though the plates can add up quickly if your hungry.

I go here because it's cheap and I'm cheap. There must be something wrong with me because I do enjoy the food here and believe me, I know the quality. It takes forever to get your drink refilled, even when it's pretty empty. Do not go here at dinner time, unless you like to wait. It gets really busy.

I'm not going to lie, this is the first conveyor sushi restaurant I went to. Not being a seafood fan, I was dragged here because my girlfriend and her friend were craving sushi. We were seated minutes after writing our name on the waiting list. Note it's lunch hour. I was please. I'm so glad there were plentiful of sesame balls to fill me up as that was the majority of my meal. There are special rolls where you have to order from one of the sushi chefs thats there. Usually 3-4 gentlemen. The miso soup was quite bland. Wouldn't order it again. Most of the rolls were good eso especially the eel. Seems like it's a hit or miss with this place. Luckily my first visit was a hit. Our waitress was very nice, she constantly came over to see if we needed anything. Despite the place being packed, she did well.

Eat at your own risk. This place is wicked dirty. I can't believe it. Let's run down some icky stuff I witnessed yesterday at lunch. Ate at 6/412 approximately 2 p.m. 1.Uniforms were so dirty it actually grossed me out. Sushi cutters and the fry cook looked like they had worn the same clothes for a week. Clearly dirty, smelly, and disgusting far beyond one lunch service. 2. Spicy mayonnaise sitting on the counter everywhere. Multiple jars, just sitting out for who knows how long. (mayonnaise should be refrigerated) I also witnessed raw shrimp and other seafood just sitting on the counter, not on ice, just sitting there, the whole time I ate. Nobody touched it or anything. Also calamari sitting in the fry batter as a future prep measure. Not right at all. A reckless, super lazy shortcut to preparing food. I can guarantee there are no times and dates on anything. A very dangerous situation when running a restaurant that way. Especially when dealing with RAW seafood all the time. 3. Staff clearly does not give a shit. My wife and I used to eat here regularly about 2-3 years ago. We quit coming because the service sucked so bad. Not worth cheap sushi to wait forever. The back sushi area has become so black and dirty since that time. You can tell no real cleaning is done. It's really disgusting. I don't how these guys are opened as far as the health department goes. There is no way they would pass an inspection. I saw clear automatic fail violations right in front of me. I am shocked they are still busy are haven't lost more customers. No manager. I see this as a common scenario in small business's now. Cheap idiots think you get the same from paying someone fifty cents more and calling them the manager as you do from an experienced leader with incentives to increase sales. There is no comparison. Hire a manager.

3.5 stars Have been to numerous conveyor belt sushi places and this one is pretty good. Better than blue c and genkhi, that's for sure. I especially liked the spicy tuna roll and mussels. I tried the gyoza, which was decent as was the cali roll. Great prices and spotty service. Will be going back soon!

As far as cheap sushi goes, this place is on point, with good food and friendly service every time I come here. When you walk in, write your name down on the clipboard and wait to be seated, usually taking 5 minutes or less. Be forewarned however, as this place can get VERY busy in the mid-afternoons, especially on weekends. Conveyor-belt style service is apparent, but you are always free to give your order to any of the chefs or waiters. I would opt for the hot green tea though, as it is warm and free! The sushi here is inexpensive: ranging from $1 to $3, most plates will set you back a mere $1.50. Based on this, you get what you paid for. I always enjoy the tempura rolls, fried calamari, seared tuna, and edamame, however there is so much more to choose from. My friends enjoy the smoked salmon rolls, spider rolls, and tuna. Whatever your flavor, make sure you ask for some spicy mayo to dip your sushi in! With a really casual, young atmosphere, and cheap eats that satisfy my sushi cravings, I would recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Cheap sushi, decent quality, nice staff. There was a decent wait on a Friday night but once we got seated it all went smooth. I love Sushi Land for a quick cheap sushi meal.

Sushi Land is know for it's very cheap sushi and the toppling tower of plates after every meal. But this time the tower was shorter and the sushi was more disappointing. My family and I took a day to enjoy sushi, and we choose the nearest place, which was Sushi Land. The location of the place is very convenient, because it was located right across the street from Southcenter Mall. Once we arrived at Sushi Land, we were seated immediately, but at a booth near the back. Now I've been to Sushi Land a lot, ever since they have opened, and I never sat in the far back. The server attended to our drinks, and left after they were served to us. We finally got time to pick out the sushi we wanted to eat, but the most disappointing part was that the sushi belt had no variety. I kept on seeing the same type of sushi over and over, and made me want to eat less. California rolls kept on popping up! On the side note of the sushi belt, we tried ordering from the menu, to get the ones that we wanted to eat. The problem was that the waitress wasn't even showing up on our side of the sushi belt. I was considerably annoyed because the waitresses didn't even consider spreading themselves out for a more even service across the restaurant. It took us forever to get the attention of the waitresses, and once we got one of their attention, they seemed pretty annoyed that we asked them just one simple question. I'm not sure of the name of the waitress, but she has glasses and has a pretty bad attitude. And then I noticed something...the restaurant had a stench to it, like it somehow was very unsanitary smelling. The table we were sitting at was very sticky, alongside the condiments at the table as well. So once the waitress came by again, she didn't have the sushi ready. It took about 10-15 minutes for just 2 plates of the same sushi. So while we were waiting, my mom ordered some calamari, since we were seated next to the fryer. I asked the person who was there, and he quickly made two bowls of calamari. But he took the calamari from a dirty cold bowl, and once we had a bite of it, it was SUPER cold. My mom couldn't have any of it. Once our sushi arrived, the waitress looked really annoyed, like she wasn't even happy to serve us. So once we left the restaurant, we gave no tip and left with half full stomachs. That was a really disappoint experience at Sushi Land. The reason I left it at 2 stars was because I've experienced better. I don't think this was necessarily how the waitresses acted all the time. But I lowered the rating because of the food and the condition of the restaurant. It was very unsanitary! So overall... * No sushi variety * Poor service * Poor cleanliness of the restaurant * Poor quality of food * Good location I hope I get a better experience!

I love Sushiland. Love. Love. Love! That being said, I don't eat the raw stuff, so this review is for the cooked rolls and foods only. My favorite is the house special roll. $1 for 3 pieces! If I'm here, I almost always get the california rolls, too. I love their spider roll, calamari, and takoyaki, too. Yum. It's quick, cheap and watching the plates go around the restaurant on the belt makes it a fun meal. :)

Ewwwww, just ewwwww. First and LAST time here. Enticed by a friend to meet her for a quick lunch, we were seated in single seating (only 3+ get a table) area by the clean-up station. This place would get NO stars except the staff is very friendly. This is one of the smelliest, dirtiest places I've ever been. The smell of old oil, tables that weren't bussed, a front door so dirty you couldn't see out, the logo peeling off the window and don't even get me started on the bathroom - if it sports graffiti, we have a problem. Yes, the "eye-candy" dishes on the conveyor belt is enticing - lots of choices - but watching the cooking process was gross. Had 2 dishes - that was it for me. Checked the Seattle Restaurant Inspection website after returning home and guess what - violations for years, most recently last month. Close down this place - save your life!

Extremely average, even for sushi on a belt. However, great for a quick sushi fix. Pros? -Fast since it's on a belt -Salmon is quite tasty -Pricing is easy to figure out and cheap -Get to watch sushi being made Cons? -Slow to seat -Lots of the same stuff on the belt -Often slow with drinks Tips? -Have the chefs make you something good, and you'll be pleasantly surprised -Be forceful with your wishes here- you need to be

I've gone to a few Sushilands in Seattle, and I'll be the first to admit that this one is the busiest. Wait times can range from 20-40 minutes, so don't go here if you expect a quick in and out meal. The service is also mediocre at best. Most of the time you have to flag someone down to get your bill or order from the menu. Prices and selection are similar to the other Sushiland, but in terms of time management and cleanliness, I'd have to recommend you go elsewhere.

This has to be the least favorite of any Sushiland I've been to. Walked in and it smelled fishy (not a good thing...........). Fortunately, didn't have to wait but there was an employee (on break, on a date - taking up a prime table on the belt........). Stayed away from the fresh fish (except the salmon) because it wasn't looking so fresh. Overall just a meh expericence. Had to basically jump in front of any waitress working to get any service.

I've been going to this location for over a year now, and it was fine then, but it's a dump now. Today I went and there was hair in my sushi. Lost my appetite right there. Sadly, they didn't even offer to give me the 4 plates I had eaten for free. I still had to pay. Also, since I've eaten there this afternoon, I've had nothing but an upset stomach all afternoon/evening. I did see several pieces of sushi sitting out on the cutting boards for quite a long time, so I'm thinking I have a mild case of food poisoning. All that aside, the sushi looked positively awful on the belt. It honestly looked like my 6 year old nephew had made it. Small pieces, uneven pieces, sloppy sauce application, I have never seen such ugly looking sushi. Oh, I also watched a busboy wipe the counter down next to me and let's just say he didn't take any care in doing it. He didn't staighten up the area and left the lids he had knocked off the ginger and wasabi pots on the counter. It's quite obvious that the staff here hate their jobs because the customer service is awful and the product is inedible. I guess when you pay for peanuts, you get monkeys.

Normally I eat my sushi at Blue C, but I thought I'd try something new. BIG MISTAKE. I know I'm eating fish but the fish was extremly fishy and the service was terrible. I guess I learned my lesson!

For conveyer belt the kaiten sushi place, Sushiland offers great price, tasty basic sushi varieties. Not too creative but a good place for a quick basic sushi meal. I also enjoyed their beef udon and green tea ice cream very much. Scallop roll is always very tasty with added spicy sauce. It's usually busy due to its location near Southcenter mall but it was alway easy for me to find seats on weekdays outside lunch/dinner hours.

Can all of the Sushi Land - Tukwila naysayers please leave the building? I admit, Sushi Land isn't the most exotic sushi place around but the Tukwila location spits out a lot higher quality food than its other locations (such as Bellevue). I love their house rolls, spider rolls, and calamari. Not to mention you're paying pennies on the dollar for really delectable SUSHI. When I get authentic conveyor belt sushi in Tokyo next year I might hum to the tune of a different flute but until then IRON CHEF SAYS 3-STAR!

Decent quality for the price, nice budget friendly sushi meal. I like that I can get a small bowl of udon for about $2 to compliment my spicy tuna roll, spider roll and philadelphia roll. The usually have ample salmon on the belt but the hamachi is usually missing. Ask for it. They will make you pretty much anything. I was here a few nights ago and I had much to much, but it only cost me $20,. about $5 more than my average visit to this place. Service is improving, getting speedier.

I am not much of a sushi eater however, my boyfriend is the sushi lover. Sushi Land provides a few alternatives to us sushi "respecters." Tukwila's edamame- the best by far out of the any sushi bar in the Seattle and surrounding areas. I only gave them 4 stars because I am not one to wait a LONG time but I will... The wait for a table here is incredible!! 30 minutes for 2 people at 1pm. Crazy!!

This was my first conveyer-belt sushi experience, the first time I went. I came back 4 days later, and I now eat here regularly! Let's just get this out here: Will this be the best sushi you have ever had? No. However, the quality for the price? Excellent. As one friend described it, the sushi just barely not as good as Blue C. Sushi, but it is half the price. It's good sushi at a great price, and that's what Sushi Land does well. Want gourmet sushi? Don't go to a place where it is on a conveyor belt. Someone also mentioned the seared salmon, and I completely agree. I have had to ask for that, though, but they are really wonderful about taking requests. The have a good variety of things, including several $1 plates. You could make a meal out of those. I also enjoy the house special. I really enjoy the mango ice cream. If you go during peak hours, yes, there is a wait, but I have never experienced it to be too long (you will have to wait pretty much anywhere you go on a Friday or Saturday night). I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. Overall, I have had good experiences here, and plan to go back many, many times! Nom nom!

Love/hate relationship with eating here. My favorites: tempura udon, seared salmon, deep fried Cali roll, calamari and green tea ice cream. Sadly, the service is a hit or miss. Sometimes the food you order that's not on the belt takes 15+ minutes. Also, don't come here if you're super hungry and there's a long line, it'll take forever.

  • Zerina C.

To be honest, the reason I keep coming back is for the House Special Roll and sentimentality. That isn't to say that I don't try other things, but I can safely say that half my plates will be the $1.00 House Special plates. The reason I rate this place four stars is because for what it is, a cheap and very casual sushi conveyor belt restaurant, it lives up to my (lack of) expectations. I usually like to meet here with friends because it's a fun, informal and cheap place to eat. I really don't remember a time where I came back unsatisfied. The calamari, gyoza, sesame balls and seared salmon are definitely favorites among my group :) The lack a lot in terms of service and seating. Service-wise, I think they've improved a lot since their opening, but I might have just had a stroke of luck the past few times I visited :) I think the place could use a bigger space because the wait times can get pretty long, so plan ahead. There are too many times where we might decide to go but the wait list is so long that we end up having to eat out somewhere else. I hate feeling pressured to make decisions about what I want to eat right on the spot, so the conveyor belt totally suits me, but if that's not your thing then you aren't going to have the best time, haha. I also love that they'll make whatever isn't on the conveyor belt just for you if you ask for it, like the seared salmon, and the chefs are pretty attentive, unlike the other staff. All in all, it's worth a visit if you're in the area and you're looking for a fun and cheap eat. ;)

o man, sushi is sooo good here. lol but beware...all the little plates you grab eventually add up. So...if you're on a budget, don't forget how much you're racking up on the bill. The hot mayo sauce is so freaking good. it's amazingly delicious. The calamari is so bomb too. it's a must have for me. everything else is good to, but..idk what they're called, only what they look like.

Eh. Whatever. Don't waste your time. The cooks gave us better service than our server did. She took our drink order and never came back for refills. I didn't want sushi and asked what else they offered and she said they don't have a menu for non-sushi items. And it was like pulling teeth to find out what else I could get. Me: "Do you have calamari" Her: "Uh, yeah" Me: "Since you have shrimp tempura sushi, can I get it without the rice?" Her: "I guess so" She yelled over our heads to the cook, "Calamari and shrimp without rice" and we never saw her again. However, the cook asked several times if I needed anything else so he apparently he takes care of her tables since she doesn't. They also lack in the dessert department - where other sushi bars have a selection of desserts, this place only had sesame balls filled with red beans. Everyone at our table said the sushi was "just OK" or "I've had better", and since service was sup-par we won't go back. We've been to too many other restaurants who take good care of their customers to have to put up with that crap!

My friend and I meet here pretty often for dinner since its halfway inbetween. You can really get full here for $12 to $15 which is a great deal. They have a wide variety of rolls and nigiri. On this visit, their special nigiri was copper river salmon. Was good, and was $3 for two pieces. I really like the spicy tuna sauce also. Its not a fancy place but you can eat well for cheap and it will satisfy your sushi fix!

This place to me has always been a solid 3 star of course I have been to places better, but their food is relatively cheap with a huge selection of sushi. One thing I love most about this place is every now and then you will hear one of the sushi chef's or cashier person yell out something which I like to believe is Japanese, I've always wondered in my head "Is that really soemthing he is saying or is he just jabbering away?!" HAHAHA Quality= can't really complain, you get what you paid for selection= huge selection going around on a conveyor belt price= $ seating= there is usually a wait if you came in at their peak lunch hour Almost forgot to mention, today there was this little brat sitting next to us using his chopsticks touching every plate! Uhh......ewww?! I was going to say something but I thought it might have been rude and was hoping one of the staff members there might have said something.

Lately, the service has gotten ALOT better here. I hope it's because they've been reading these reviews. We're able to get our special orders in and taken care of promptly, and our drinks refilled often. They've been alot friendlier lately too. Keep it up, Tukwila Sushi Land...and I'll make this a 5-star! :)

This place is terrible. All Sushiland locations in are generally mediocre but this Tukwila branch takes the cake for being the worst in terms of food, atmosphere, and especially customer service. It gets really crowded, and tends to be filled up with a lot of teeny boppers as it is right across the street from Westfield mall. Someone I know also found a worm in one of their edamame dishes once upon a time (yes, this location). This place also holds the prize for some of the most ignorant customer service I've ever experienced, courtesy of their airheaded under-age-18 staff. When the only soysauce plate available to me was dirty with some brown stains (fail dishwashing), I signaled the watiress to get a new one. She replied, "It doesn't look dirty to me," without even looking at it. Excuse you? I was appalled, and insisted again that it was dirty. She looked at it for a long moment then, without a word, walked away to get me a new one. To Sushiland management, if you are reading this, please fire these jokers and hire competent employees. It's too late to regain my business, however. Try Genki Sushi or any of the other conveyor belt copycats out there. Hell, even spend a few more bucks at Blue C for some better atmosphere and customer service.

It not bad for conveyor belt sushi. This is a chain that started in Bellevue. Sushi land is your basic sushi. There are a lot of there places that have more roll selection on their belt. If sushi comfort food.

Sushiland has a good variety of sushi dishes. Fast food of sushi for those that want a quick, cheap and simple meal. The conveyor belt that goes around makes people hungry. Friendly staff members. You can ask the chefs to make a sushi roll on the menu that you prefer. Usually busy during lunch and dinner, but the sushi is worth the wait. The place might not be an upscale sushi restaurant, but it has fresh sushi and other Japanese food items makes up for it.

  • Suzanne H.

Honestly I don't know who would give this place more than 1 star unless: 1. You've never had quality sushi 2. You're cheap or broke 3. You want something that's quick This was not my decision to go this place as I've been to Blue C Sushi @ the mall and had a similar experience. Nothing is fresh unless you see them making it and quickly ask them for the plate before they set it down on the conveyor belt. Shrimp tempura rolls were old, gyoza and fried rolls were cold... not a very large menu either. If you ever see a conveyor belt sushi place that is filled with plates but not many people inside, then do not eat there. It means everything has been going around the belt for awhile! DUH. The service was horrible. I don't even know if I'd bother to even say they had servers. Read the other reviews, I'd say this is the consensus. One girl asked what we wanted to drink then forgot to bring my friend a water so 15min later we had to ask someone else who was walking by. Only the guy who was making the food behind the belt asked us how we were doing the entire time we were there, but isn't that the servers job? The only other time our server came by was to give us the bill. Seriously if you want good sushi go to Miyabi down the way. I guess for $1 plates what do you expect? Save your dollar bills for another sushi place, or a strip club.

Idk what it is . If there rasict or what . I used to come here a couple times a week with my boyfriend and Everytime I would order something the deep fryer guy would look at me like I killed his dog . The last few times I came in I never got what I ordered . I watched everyone get there calamari, even people that ordered after me . I was upset and left . Stupidly, I returned . This time I saw him making my calamari . Ahhhh finally !! Guess what happens next ? The guy sees its me, turns around and puts in on the other side of the belt for Someone else to grab . At that point I was heated !! I went to talk to the manager and told them what's up, all the cooks are talking in Spanish to the manager so I couldn't understand . Luckily despite my boyfriend being Asian he can speak pretty good Spanish and the guy that wouldn't give me my food said "I just don't like her" . Okay. You hate your life cuz your a fry cook like spongebob . Don't take it out on me . I will never return . I didn't get nothing more then a "I'm sorry he's having a bad day" . Worst experience I've ever had out eating .

I've been here a few times in the past and really liked it, probably because it was when I started trying sushi and had no other place to compare to, but more probably because it was when they had all plates for $1.00. This last time, we were craving sushi, and I wanted a place with the conveyor belt...Sushi Land was the closest and we didn't feel like paying an arm and a leg, so we came here...huge mistake. They kept putting the same things over and over on the belt, so I finally placed an order with our waitress, and she seemed annoyed to be doing it. I waited and waited for my order, and it seemed like everyone was getting theirs. I just thought, maybe it takes longer to make mine. Another waiter comes check on us, and I told him we had been waiting for an order for 20 minutes and that I was done with waiting and wanted my check. He went to check on my order, and said they can have it ready in two minutes. I told him I did not want to wait anymore. He was very nice and apologized and said that my waitress must've not put my order in. Well, I left very disappointed and still very hungry.

This place has seriously declined since it first opened. I get that there were new cooks and servers but service and quality was appalling and it's not because I'm some snobby customer expecting to be pampered, this is coming from someone who also works in the food/service industry. I know for a fact you're not supposed to leave the conveyor belt half empty with only two types of sushi. We watched one of the cooks make like 3 rolls the whole time we were there. Like you're getting paid to do nothing or what? Shitty service from the 3 servers that were available. One of them couldn't even complete my order and the other one walked by us when our drinks were empty. Oh and the green tea? it smelled like it came out of the toilet, no kidding. And even though it's a cheap sushi place, I've had higher quality rice from here before so there's no excuse for putting out mushy rice. Here's a business tip, hire more experienced people and fix your pipes and maybe you'll get a tip from me.

I'm not impressed with this location. 9 times out of 10, all they have is the same 5 sushi plates. If you want anything good off of the menu, you have to order it or else you'd be waiting all day for it to come around. The sushi here isn't always as fresh as it is at the Queen Anne location. I come here often, but it's not some where I'd bring someone who has never had sushi. They'd probably hate it.

Quality has dropped to crap at this location. Used to be our favorite sushi place... Not anymore. This the second time it sucked, so this review is not based on one fluke visit. Lunchtime at 12Noon, the only things on the belt were the $1 plates of non-fish items. What's up with that?! Customers were ordering trays of SALMON NIGIRI and staff could not keep up. No UNAGI, no SPIDER ROLLS... Plenty of TAMAGO & INARI... sure, but Monkey could get eggs & rice at home! Ordered some handrolls and waited patiently until someone noticed and asked if everything is okay. Um, no. Upset to see a favorite go down like that.

My friend had called me up one day and said she wanted to go have sushi and she insisted on going to sushi land. I had never been there so I thought, why not. I might like the place. We went on a Monday around 4ish or so and it wasn't too crowded. We were seated right away and dug in. The sake ones are AMAZING and I could live off those. California rolls are decent too. What I didn't like was that they didn't have much variety. They had maybe, 4 or 5 different rolls going around and on their menu they had I'd say at least 20. What also made me subtract a star was our waitress didn't check up on us at all. I also noticed that someone had requested sushi for take out and I watched them and it took FOREVER for the customer to get their food. Glad I wasn't that person. But for the price, it definitely isn't bad. I've had better but of course I paid more so I'd say this place is good if you're on a budget and want your sushi fix. :)

Dude! A Sushiland in the south end! I don't have to drive to Bellevue anymore! In truth, I find Sushiland to be just "okay" in the local world of sushi, but good for the price. And this location is quite large, which should alleviate some of the crowding issues. It seemed hugely popular tonight (a Wednesday) and we waited about 10 minutes, but it wasn't bad. The variety on the belt was really limited compared to what I'm used to from them. Cali rolls, unagi, krab sticks, salmon, shrimp, tamago, cucumber rolls... anything else (maguro, calamari, seared salmon) had to be asked for. I didn't see any edamame, which surprised me. They were busy, so refills on water were slow, and I never did get my hot tea. However, I still left full and satisfied, so I'm not complaining too much. If you want /good/ kaiten, go to Sushi Yama or iSushi or (I hear) Blue C. If you want real sushi service, go to Mizu or Toyoda's or Rikki Rikki. If you want decent fish for a good price, Sushiland is your place.

Planned to visit the new Seafood City at the Westfield Southcenter Mall across the street, but somehow ended up starving and instead stopped at the Marinepolis Sushi Land in Tukwila. The restaurant is cheap and if you are planning to simply engorge yourself with food without a preference for quality then this may be the spot for you. For around fifteen dollars, you could have a relatively decent meal with a fair amount of variety. However, if you visit the restaurant at a time other than lunch or dinner, you will find yourself staring down a conveyor belt with literally no variety that has probably been circling the tables for an hour or two. Other than that, there are not a lot of positive comments that could be given since the booth we were seated at had definitely not been cleaned and the staff seemed to make no effort to do so. Also, we watched a couple intent on paying for their meal at the register wait almost ten minutes standing in line unattended. Unless you are in the neighborhood and you simply have to have sushi and refuse to go to Blue C Sushi at the mall, which is not great either, then this may be your only other choice. Lastly, to anyone who has already been to this restaurant, did the wall mural seem overly tacky and unnecessary? When we entered the restaurant and saw all those characters on the wall, it felt as if we had entered into some sort of perverse Chuck E. Cheese type of establishment that tailored to children with sushi. Our group almost expected to be greeted by a man in some sort of salmon outfit with a sailor suit on.

I used to like them. The last time we ate there, they would not make the Agedashi tofu we ordered. We ordered it 4 times and then after 40 minutes were told the cook moved on to other items and forgot and hopefully would make it later if he wasn't busy SCREW THAT!!!. Also the green tea smelled like urine or mildew like the pot was never washed out ans is mildewing like an old bath towel. HURL. It looks as if they have NO MANAGEMENT at all.

I am still giving this 3 stars but I wanted to write another review as my views have changed since I last ate at SushiLand. The selection is still far superior to Blue C and with my most recent visit to Blue C so is the quality of the fish. HOWEVER, I recommend that if you are going to order any of the raw items that you order them directly from the workers. They make them fresh so you are almost guaranteed a nice cold piece of fish that hasn't been sitting on the belt for too long. The cost is what gets me everytime...the place is just so affordable that I can't really complain when things don't taste good. For example, I grabbed what I thought was a shrimp salad but it was a corn salad gunkan style sushi. It wasn't that great but it was only a dollar...so for a buck who cares. The appearance still isn't that great...but again...for the price I really can't complain too much. For a dollar I should expect masterfully plated sushi? No. This is my new place to go for quick cheap sushi. Just make sure you go at the right time and in smaller groups to ensure that you aren't waiting for long periods of time.

I do not like this place. The only thing I like about it is that it's cheap. The service sucks here. It always seems like that workers are talking to each and not taking care of the customers. When you orders something it takes awhile to get to you. I ordered one Samon when I first sat down and I didn't get it til 1 minute before I left. It's always like that there. I don't like the service.

Out of all the Sushi Land's I've been to, from Oregon to Lynwood WA...I'd say this location is the best one. They have much more of a high end variety (upon ordering, not on the kuru kuru rotating belt). Basing the 4 stars on the food and not necessarily the service. Keep in mind...it's practically a self service restaurant. If you plan on ordering, sit in the view of the guys making it.

Sushi for the budget conscious. Good quality rolls, but watch for the ones that may have had a few turns too many on the sushi boat conga line.

This must be where all the bums go to get their Sushi fix after a long day of pan handling. The service is slow and unfriendly. The whole establishment is grimy. The Sushi lids where dirty as in; had a film of filth. Yes, the Sushi is cheap but seriously, it's Sushi do you really want to be that Cheap? Apparently, a few of my friends do because they are the ones that wanted to go there. I am never going back. Never!!! Oh, and we had to give back several dishes because there was food stuck on left over from the last dish that was on there. Unbelievable!!! Also, the dishes at the table where dirty. So... disgusting. The worst part is that they are fairly new to that location. BoooOOooOoo on them!!!

Round and round the conveyor belt goes, how long has your salmon been sitting outside? Nobody knows.... I've been to conveyor belt sushi joints, including the Tukwila Marinepolice, about a few dozen times. The prices no longer justify the poor quality and poor handling of the seafood. * THE FOOD: - Too often I have witnessed cooks leaving unprepared seafood sitting on the cutting boards, at room temperature, during my whole 30-60 minute visit. That is disgusting. - The rolls are scrawny! - I'm not a seafood buff or snob, but the quality is dramatically noticeable and inferior to higher class sushi joints. * MARINEPOLICE VS BLUE C: - The sushi quality at all Seattle conveyor belt joints is about the same. - Marinepolice is a bit cheaper than Blue C. - Marinepolice really does look Blue C's ugly sister. Blue C's setting is much fancier, however both do suffer from the same food problems noted above. * THE OTHER (TASTIER) OPTION: - $2-$3 for a few scrawny rolls? - If you want decent sushi at a decent price, Maneki in the International District has good sushi at $4 and up. * PRICE: - The price per person has been $15-$20 in my experience. - Higher class sushi restaurants are about $20-$30 per person, on my visits, and that extra $ is worth it. Next time someone says Sushi Land has OK sushi for cheap... slap them and go to several higher quality sushi restaurants so they can see that all those scrawny-conveyor-belt-rolls are nowhere close to a REAL sushi experience. The price difference isn't enormous, and the poorly handled low quality seafood isn't worth it.

I've been to the sushi land up in Seattle at Queen Anne and it was pretty mediocre. I'd go there when I couldn't afford the good sushi, it was basically the last resort for me. My sushi buddy suggested this place (we work in seatac), so I agreed to go. I didn't have high expectations but I still went. We got there and were seated quickly, considering it was lunchtime. I was actually impressed by the quality of the sushi, better then Blue C sushi. Service was alright, took them awhile when I would order special rolls directly, but I was happy with the food and will be going back soon!

This is my go-to place whenever I'm craving sushi and need a fix. Usually it is pretty fair, I mean really, it's conveyor belt sushi so you can only expect quality of a certain caliber. Last night is was a little less than fair, but I'm still giving it 3 stars because I'm not giving up on it, although next time I might try Blue C sushi at the mall. I went last night (Friday) and it was packed, the conveyor belt was full, and most everything was decent. A few things kept coming around and around so you want to be sure you watch things when you first sit down to make sure you get something fresh--or just order it from the chefs. The copper river salmon was on special plates, a little more expensive, but definitely worth it--tasted very fresh and buttery. There was something else on one of the special plates that I wasn't sure what it was, but I tried it anyway and was disappointed since it was seared and almost dried out. There was tako maki spinning around and figured I'd try one even though it wasn't exactly fresh and hot and was actually surprised that it was a-ok. At least I didn't burn my mouth on the searing hot balls--oohh, did I say that? Anyway, I liked it enough to have another serving when it came around again. Nothing really stood out for me, which is usually what I expect from this place. It just hits the spot when I've got the sushi jones. But the sesame balls actually were pretty darn tasty, especially since they usually end up really oily at other places. Again with the balls? Damn, I must be deprived... Anyway, if you're looking for really GOOD sushi, go somewhere else i.e. Village sushi in the U District. But if you're looking to fill up, come here. $28 isn't too bad for one person considering how much I ate. Yes, I am a pig.

I love this place. Thank you to my friend Marco del Fierro for turning me and Mike Puspos RN on to this sushi in motion palace. Marco is aspiring to make it in the real estate industry, but his dreams came crashing down like a 747...oops, he works for Boeing now. Me and mike were visiting marco in Kent during the Spring. Beautiful, weather with the occasional overcast, Marco lead our stealthy Toyota Prius through a parking lot that looked like a Wal-Mart. Unbeknown to us, we see a line forming for business lunchers. What's this we are waiting for, sushi on conveyor belts? Aww, what an interesting concept! I of course ruined it with my mid day drinking, but sushi needs to go with sake and Japanese beer. And, you know mi chung's go for the waitresses [thats for you Marco]. So cheers to this dim son want-a- be place of cheap moving sushi. Pace yourself, and make sure you get every color plate!

If I were to choose one Seattle Area Sushiland as the best, this would be it. It's still conveyor belt sushi and cheap. It's still the Sushiland experience of cheap conveyor belt sushi, but I'm pretty sure they won't give me food poisoning and once I got to watch one of their cooks make the egg for the tamago. Another time I got to watch them fillet the massive fish right in front of me. It was awesome. They are also fast on the service and refill your drinks without a lot of fuss. For fast, cheap and filling sushi south of the city, this is definitely worth a stop.

My first experience ever with kaiten-sushi, the conveyer belt sushi. Its being worked by all young people, who dont really pay too much attention. My friend and I were seated, and started to choose from the choices available. We went during the lull, so there wasnt a whole lot and it seemed to only be about.. 6 different items to choose from. I chouldnt believe that their House Special roll was only $1! Crazy! And California rolls are only 1.50! I got two :] We ordered their udon, but IMO, it wasnt really worth it. $3 for a smaalll bowl of udon, when you can get a huge udon for probably 6-7 elsewhere. Sushi prices were great. Its hard to get the attention of the servers because we never knew where they were or when theyd come back around. We placed an order for calamari (eh, ok. wouldnt get it again) and for the octopus dumplings (not for me). We capped off the meal with green tea and mango ice cream. 1.50 for a cute portion of ready-to-go ice cream :] perfect serving size. All in all, worth the money. My friend and I ate our fill for about $11 each. Would I go again? Yes; its cheap and fast. BUUTTT... the ambience was seriously lacking. It seemed so quiet and big in there. The tabletops were small and crowded. The waiter who seated us sat another two people rice next to us.

This particular sushiland consistently sucks in both quality and service. Horrible employees here... They should not be allowed to work with people with such poor people skills.

Well, the sushi was very inexpensive. We spent $23 for 2 people including 1 beer and tea. The wait was 30 minutes at 7pm. The staff definately looked like they hated their jobs. The sushi chefs sometimes didnt wear their gloves and we had several pieces of sushi at room temperature or warmer. The rice was not sticky enough and many pieces were falling apart. I had a much better experience at Blue C Sushi. It was a little more, but the quality is much better.

Sushiland's newest location is in Tukwila near the Southcenter Mall and in the Acme Bowl complex. Sushiland is a conveyor belt place - however, they are always willing to make something on the menu that isn't going around the belt. I've found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is surprisingly clean - very important when consuming raw fish! The menu is pretty expansive - it has most of your "normal" sushi rolls and nigiri, and some others that are more obscure. If you are looking for hundreds of different rolls, this probably isn't your place. That being said - what they do have on the menu is fresh and delicious! In short - I love this sushi joint. I know that it already is uber-popular, but I hope that I'll still be able to get a seat!

This place has really good calamari and spicy salmon rolls, and that's what keeps me coming back again and again. I love sushi, and eat it all the time, so the cheap price is a good thing! Service here tends to be slow, and you have to work hard to get their attention, especially during rush hour. Their nigiri is also not as good as some of the other Sushi Lands around. The Bellevue one has much better quality fish. Overall, a nice cheap place to satisfy a sushi craving.

Mediocre sushi. They ran out of mussels and calamari last night.

    (2)
  • Chris F.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sushiland. I go to the Bellevue one all the time, as it is affordable and delicious. I was incredibly excited to find out there was one going in a block away from where I work, and even more encouraged to see the head sushi chef from Bellevue working behind the counter. My excitement waned as I had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get the attention of the waitress to order a drink, only to find out they don't serve beer yet, and have no idea when they are going to be able to. It's really lucky that their items don't really change that often, because the other chefs seem to be quite horrible. Who knew mexicans would be so bad at making sushi? As far as Sushiland locations go, skip this one and make the drive to Bellevue. Or at least wait until they can serve booze. Maybe then the service and the quality would be a bit more tolerable. And why close at 9 on a Friday? Buh?

I went here last night with my girlfriend for the first time and i must say that i liked it a lot! I love their spicy tuna and calamari was a little bit salty for my taste. They call their sushi chefs alex?... I am not sure but it was funny. They have lots of variety of sushi passing before your eyes! Just grab one and taste it... it's so good. I am really big fun of sushi . Their service? There is none really so no tip to worry about.

  • Alicia L.

It's hit or miss at this place. Honestly I only keep going because my coworkers adore it. For the price, I would say yes this is a decent lunch. I do love their spicy sauce that they put on the spicy tuna rolls, (I know it's packed full of mayonnaise I'm sure, but oh well). We always get seated right away in a booth; it sometimes takes a while to get refills and get the check. If I was craving sushi, I wouldn't choose this place. It's merely a social experience for me and a cheap one at that.

  • Tom D.

Sushi Ala Factory This place is always packed. You have to be patient because there's a reason for it. The service is spotty, it doesn't seem like they assign your party a waiter. You just have to hail people down and hope they remember to come back. The food is great. I like the idea of seeing your food coming down the line. I've tried stuff I would not have thought of just seeing a little picture on a menu. It's good, informal and fun. It's one of the best sushi places I've been to in Seattle (for the food, not the service).

    (4)
  • Wan Q.

Excellent price and cheap, especially for searing salmon sushi. Service could be a bit faster, however, I do notice they have a tendency to be always under staffed. Also, the aura of the place is a bit dark and plained, but what can I say considering the price is so low. Good place for a normal lunch or dinner after shopping at the mall or just feeling sushi without paying an arm and a leg.

My last experience is worth noting. Two of my friends and myself went here late on weekday night arriving at 7:30. There were a handful of other people there, and it did not appear busy. We were told we could sit in one of the two booths at the end. After being seated the waitress promptly took our drink order and served them. After that we never saw another wait staff member for the rest of the night. None of the sushi chefs seemed familiar to me, and they would appear and disappear in the back never coming near our table where two other tables also had people. They stayed at the opposite far end where only one gentleman sat. The selection on the conveyor belt was very sparse with none of the usual sashimi or nigiri on it. There was calamari and mackerel galore, but no ebi, shrimp tempura, salmon of any kind, or any of your usual staples you see at conveyor belt sushi restaurants. After 30 minutes of not seeing anything, and not being approached by anyone my friend flagged down a sushi chef and we gave an order of several nigiri pieces. When they handed it back to us I went from disappointed to disgusted. I had ordered six pieces of salmon nigiri and two shrimp tempura roll orders. My disappointment came when they handed me shrimp tempura nigiri, but I shrugged it off. It was a minor disappointment at the incorrect order. There was no language barrier to speak of, and the chef seemed rushed, so I chalked it up to that. The salmon, though, earned my disgust and made it clear they were rushed or sloppy. First, the salmon was very warm. I expect room temp, but this was like it sat too close to a heat lamp warm. All the pieces were inconsistently cut with parts of the salmon being thicker and thinner in unexpected places such as one end being thick, but the middle being gossamer thin. And then there was the matter of the fish scales. They didn't even bother removing all the fish scales! After picking off a silver scale on the top of one, and then biting into another that was on the underside I started flipping the salmon to inspect it for these chewy bits. It was the first time I ever lost my appetite for sushi. Seriously, disgusting!

Much better parking arrangement here compare to the Bellevue location. This location also seems to have more variety, for example, they had spider rolls tonight. I've never seen spider roll at the Bellevue location. Unless you go there early, like 5PM, expect to wait a while--Bring a book or your iPod. One time I had to wait 45 min and I was alone. Update: THEY HAVE SAKE!!! YAY~!! "Sake to me." : ) $3.50 for small bottle.

  • John M.

Now I went here pretty late, but it was still very good. The service... well, it can take a while, but if you're there with friends, it makes it better. I'm there alone, because I'm a pitful, lonely business traveler. But there is plenty of sushi, even if you don't know what it is, you know the price. They do take requests and if they hear you, it comes pretty fast. Decent quality fish. Nothing like I had in Japan, but then again, this is Seattle. But, their maguro was soft and fresh. They don't have full-sized rolls, but just cut ones. Their spicy tuna roll is in the form of a gob of tuna. OH, one thing that sucked was their seared tuna. They literally get the tuna, and put a BLOW TORCH to it. Zaps away all the flavor. Seriously, get a frying pan guy! I'm taking away a star just for that.

I've only been here once, but I had a pretty good experience. I don't know what's going on when everyone else goes there, but the service was quick - I was seated right away, my drink was brought right away, I ordered Takoyaki, it was ready in about 5 minutes. No complaints as far as the service and I went there about 12:30 during lunch - lots of people. The food was very good, toward the end I was considerably stuffed and still saw things on the belt I wanted to try, but there was no more room in my tummy. I took a star away because my calimari (which was off the belt) wasn't very hot - only warm - and the breading had become a little soggy. I should have waited because about ten minutes later one of the cooks yelled "Fresh calimari!" and they started putting more on the belt LOL! It tasted good though and if it had been fresh I probably would have finished it. I've been to a similar restaurant in Tacoma and this one has much more variety, so I may make this my regular sushi place when I go to Seattle.

Hahahaa!! My first review.... When I stepped through the door the first thing that came to mind was fa-st fo-od Japanese?! I lingered around for service with the other 4 or 5 groups and noticed that one must sign in for a table and wait to be called. We waited about 7 minutes before being seated. The quality isn't great by any means, but it was exciting to grab what looks appealing off the conveyor belt. There's a good amount of choices to select from, yet after a while it gets boring, and once you're full everything starts tasting similar. At the end of the meal I left with a full stomach and extra mullah in the wallet. Will I eat here again? Who knows...if I'm pressed for time, yeah...

How could you say no to yummy, inexpensive sushi? I visit this particular Sushiland about once a week. I feel the quality of their sushi is pretty consistent and they tend to have a good variety out on the bar. And if there isn't anything there that you like, it's very easy to order from a number of the chefs. They tend to get your order done fairly quickly. Sometimes, if it's busy, it can take a while or they can forget all together. The servers are friendly, although they are sometimes neglectful if the restaurant is busy. At times it can take a while to flag one of them down for your check. No biggie. I figured you get what you pay for - decent sushi=decent service. I've seen a lot of people get impatient and rude with the servers or chefs. You're paying $1.50 for a plate of sushi. Wanna be treated like royalty? Gtfo and go somewhere fancy then.

Went here last week to get some sushi to go. However, it was kind of awkward because, despite being a conveyor belt sushi place, they don't have an area for you to stand and select items for takeout (a la Blue C). I was instead seated along the belt and handed a to go box. This worked fine, but it was a little bit weird because I was seated at a location with other customers on either side of me. Once I selected my sushi, the rest of the process was pretty painless. I was given some soy sauce packets and a small container of wasabi, which was much appreciated. For the price, the sushi is good and the selection is better than Blue C. The staff was friendly and helpful, even with the awkward takeout setup. Overall, I was satisfied with my lunch. It was perfectly fine sushi and it hit the spot.

I don't even know why I bothered to come back here. This place just gets worse as the years go by. The food is mediocre - the prepacked sushi from Uwajimaya is better. The chefs seem to be sloppy with their sushi and they just slap it onto the dish. They avoid eye contact with you and don't even really bother to ask how the food is. Since they're right there, shouldn't you expect them to be at least a LITTLE interactive? I mean, even just a "how's the food?" once in a while would suffice. The servers are just as bad. Besides getting seated and asking you what you would like to drink, they barely pay you any attention. I had to really stare one of them down just for a refill on my mom's tea, which was a little weird. After that, nothing again. I looked to the other customers and their waters were empty as well. I tried to get the check and it took a while for them to even notice and come by to ask if we wanted the check, which is all they care about, I would assume. After writing down our bill, she sped off without a "thank you" or "have a nice day." Then I walked over to the cashier. She didn't even make eye contact with me. Little to no conversation, again. The next time I want sushi from a conveyer belt, I'll keep a mental note to myself to go to Genki instead. If not, then the deli section at Uwajimaya.

I don't generally go to Sushiland anymore when there are other kaiten places closer to me. The food is cheaper than the other places and you get what you pay for in the quality here. I get kinda turned off by seeing so many rolls made with mayo going round and round the belt. The last time we went my tummy was pretty unsettled afterwards. If you're on a really tight budget and California rolls from the grocery store are your thing, this place will fill your needs. Not that there's anything wrong with that! :)

  • Ron T.

Decent sushi for a very low price. You typically don't wait long to be seated. The sushi chefs are very willing to make anything you don't readily see passing before you on the belt. My only complaint really is the wait staff, or lack thereof. Once seated, you will only briefly see them wandering around looking disinterested in what is going on around them. Don't expect a refill on your water or tea. When it's time for the check, make sure you REALLY make yourself known because, trust me, they are not paying attention....

Not the best or prettiest sushi but you get what you paid for. Okay sushi at an okay price. I can say that I never left this place still hungry or not have any money left. I will be back but not if I'm taking someone to impress.

okay, convenience and a need of protein after a hard workout at the gym located in the same parking lot has brought me here a few times. Service has always been prompt but nothing special. Made to order sushi available. quality... ehhhh... okay. Prices are cheap, but then you buy what you pay for.

If you want fresh delicious sushi at a affordable, I wouldn't suggest this place. The service is awful, food quality is disgustingly terrible and theres roaches running around. In addition to this the manager is rude and an absolute tool.

Not a quick spot to eat, as they're busy almost any day, any time. Food is decent, though if you're willing to wait. The Bellevue locations seems to have a little bit better tasting food, but this one is a great location and you can get filled up for WELL under $10 per person. Try the red bean ice cream to go!

It's cheap. The service I've had the two times I've been has been awful. Every time I've been the rice on the sushi is dry and flavorless. Bleh.

My family and I have been to this location a number of times and service had been decent meaning they would come check on our water and tea. This evening we had to wave the waitresses for refills and for our check. If they were short on staff, would have been good to let us know. We noticed some of the waitresses were casually chatting with other customers which is fine, but be on the alert for other customers' needs. The booth next to ours complained to the waitress they had been waiting for the check for 15 minutes! Perhaps we picked a bad evening to dine here, but this is not acceptable customer service.

It's cheap, okay sushi, and often crowded. Service is a bit hands off. Good luck getting refills on soda. Their miso soup is cheap and good (and you get a lot for a $1). Their selection is limited from the conveyor belt but the menu is rather robust.

I love kaiten sushi. What is more fun than grabbing your sushi off a conveyor belt? XD Sushi Land is larger than Genki, and the most inexpensive sushi place I've been to. That being said, the quality and variety of the sushi is nothing special. I'm not really into raw fish, so I'm more than happy with just going for the tamago, inari, and california roll. I also love this one roll that is filled with tuna and wrapped in egg. They also serve miso soup and udon if you ask for it. The sushi on the belt can be dried out, so you can ask to have them make some fresh. It is best to do this with the gyoza and calamari since they are only good hot. Green tea, mango, and red bean ice cream for dessert are the best! Service here is not the best. Most of the time I have to ask for something multiple times before I get it, and it is usually a long time in coming. Overall, it is a great place to get cheap, average quality sushi. I've been back many times, and shall return again.

This time, allow me to say the bad news first. The bad news is: The waits during busy times can be long, but what do you expect? Waiting lines means it's busy, which means it is therefore popular, which means business is good. Sometimes waiting at a popular restaurant can be frustrating, but it's natural ok! Jeez!---Gosh!---Uggh. Service can be rather lackluster with the young asian fems. Perhaps you can bare with them? o.O Good news: Yummy sushi at a pretty good price seems worth the visit to me. It's all good stuff and the experience isn't too bad at all. The atmosphere feels nice and casual/relaxed, too, albeit some ambient chat noise. Decor would sure be nice, though.

Well I was treated to Sushi land about a year ago by my great friend J Ling! He took me to the Seattle location where his friend works. This was after I tried a local sushi place in Renton. The chef's at the Seattle location are the best. They say hello when you walk in and goodbye when you leave. They are also very accommodating to the patrons. The South-center location is good quality but the chef's are mostly Mexican. I'm not saying that they can't work there, I'm saying that I want to feel the experience when I go there. So say hello and goodbye and be more interactive. I mean, anyone can be taught to put a sushi roll together, shoot there is a machine that makes the rice balls for the maki! Both places are good and I think you get more for the money. They are clean and have a friendly staff. If you are a beginner then I suggest the Cali rolls and the calamari!! Get the spicy mayo and that makes everything zippier!! Overall these places are very commercial and you can tell. But the food is good for the price.

I go out to eat to enjoy company and conversation with friends and family but when I have to sit next to other people bar style it defeats the purpose. The selection of food on the conveyor belt is mediocre. You will notice the food that rounds about on the belt are the cheaper selections. You have to ask for the exotic sushi and special items. Clientele is geared toward the younger crowd. They play 93.3 and 106.1 music. Go to Genki Sushi in Renton or Blue C Sushi at southcenter to get better service and less headache.

It's not the best or the most artistic sushi ever (nigiri balls made by machine!?!), but for the price, you can't beat it. We had no idea this was even here, but happened to stop by randomly. We'll for sure be back, even if to another branch. Things we strongly recommend are the calamari (barely breaded, good pepper flavor) and the octopus dumplings. The horse-mackerel is also excellent.

Sushi Land is similar to Blue C Sushi but cheaper! We went there for the first time today...and not bad at all. I actually like it. We had about 18 plates and our bill was only $29. The baked mussels, salmon skin roll and tuna salad roll are my favorites! They are under the $1 - $1.50 per plate category. Good service and friendly staff too. We told the sushi chefs what we wanted and got them right away. This is the place to go for a quick sushi fix after shopping since it's right across the mall. :)

Disgusted. The food was inexpensive and didn't taste too bad, but I went to use the bathroom, and while I was washing my hands, a man wearing a long sleeve white collared shirt walked quickly out of the stall, and straight into the restaurant without washing his hands. I walked out the door and was horrified to see he was an employee who walked right into the open kitchen. The man put on rubber gloves and started cutting a tuna. Unless he has some method to put on rubber gloves without the outside of the rubber gloves being touched by his filthy hands in the process, he took a dump, and then any residue left on his hands touched the fish. HELLO, just because you wear gloves, it doesn't mean you can avoid washing your hands after using a stall in a bathroom. I can't go back, and am in disbelief he didn't even fake cleanliness when he saw a customer in the bathroom.

I know I'm not supposed to expect much from Sushiland in regards to grade A quality sushi, but compared to the other Sushiland chains I've gone to such as in Queen Anne or Alderwood, the sushi prepared here is sloppy. I mean...it's like the people preparing the food are half-asleep or unfocused. I understand that it's food service and it can drain your soul, but at least show some interest in your choice of employment. I guess a little more effort could come a long way. But you know - I'm not going to complain too much. All in all, when I close my eyes, it still tastes like the same as the sushi from all the other Sushiland locations. Pricing is still the same and servers are quick to refill your tea and water. This place does usually get busy around lunch or dinner time since it's so close to the mall and gym.

Bleh. Two reasons this place doesn't get only 1 start 1) It's cheap. Crazy cheap. But you get what you pay for. 2) It's still better than Genki. I've also tried the Lower Queen Anne Sushi Land and had the same results. How many chances before it's "shame on me?"

Blah. Sushiland is at the bottom of the totem pole for kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi.Prices are super cheap, but as expected, the food is no good, and you need to speak Spanish to order anything not already going around. I will admit that this Southcenter location is much better than its Bellevue and Seattle counterparts, mainly because it's newer and better service...hence the upgrade to a 2 star rating.

I ventured into this place by accident while I was in town for work. Everything here seems to be pretty average... except for their spicy scallop hand rolls and spicy scallop sushi! I like the way they make it here! The sushi staff is attentive, and you can order fresh items from the sushi chief directly if you don't want to eat off the assembly line or conveyor belt. This floating sushi on a conveyor belt is pretty popular in Washington... not sure why, but it's also quick, so you don't want to wait around. I would come back, but it's definitely not the greatest sushi i've had.

I love sushi, can you tell? Sushiland on the other hand, I don't love so much. Yes, it is cheap but so is the sushi thats served. I don't ever see anything special on the belt and when I order something "good" it takes forever. Portions are so small, it doesn't really seem like I'm getting my money's worth even if it is a couple dollars. This place gets packed. No surprise seeing how it's across the street from the mall. Most of the time I see groups of teens here which are kinda noisy. If I'm lucky the wait time will be about 10-15min which is unbearable when you're starving; or have hungry kids with you. I was going here only with my kids because one doesn't even like sushi (shock!) and the other one just likes the tamago and calamari. Now I don't even consider it anymore because I never leave even the tiniest bit satisfied. You get what you pay for.

My favorite sushi place has always been the Queen Anne sushi land so I assumed that the south center location would be good too. I was wrong. The place was about 1/4 full, not busy at all. They ignored us at the counter waiting to be seated, ignored us waiting to order what wasn't on the belt, (not much WAS on the belt), the food was way lower quality than other locations, ignored us waiting for the check, and everyone else got the same poor service. One guy got so tired of waiting for service that he ended up yelling at a cook to go get his check so he could leave. All the staff seem to move slow and hate life. It was dirty and felt grimy inside the whole place too. I'm glad I live closer to other locations so I never have to go back there. This place gives Sushi Land a bad name. If you actually like this place, try a different location, you will be amazed. Skip redmond though, great food, but they overprice everything.

This place is an awesome substitute for "real" sushi bar sushi. The fish is always pretty fresh, the rice is a great temperature (not ice-cold), and the green tea is really good. There isn't much of a selection on the belt, but you can ask for anything you could want. They lose two whole stars for what they lack in service. I have never been offered a refill on my drink in all the times I have been there. I have to flag someone down to get my ticket at the end of the meal and a server usually passes my raised hands a few times before stopping.

Can't give it a lot of kudos. Its not the best sushi you are going to find but its better than grocery store and the price is good for what you get.

The sushi here is dirt cheap...but that's because it's total garbage. Very poor quality, and I really don't even think that the fish they are serving is actually what they say it is. It appears to be just crappy, low-quality "fish", that's artificially colored to match whatever they claim it to be (even the salmon, which is typically the least expensive fish available, was just orange colored crap). And my stomach is now starting to feel upset after my meal. I would never eat here again. I gave it two stars because I consider myself to be a sushi aficionado...and even though the food here sucks, it's actually not the worst sushi I've ever had.

Fast Food sushi. Minus the wait for a table.. Sushi lands conveyor belt sushi is a great concept. This is no hassle eating and a great experience for a new sushi eater. The quality of Sushi here is mediocre at best, but it's a great place to get quick sushi. If you are into calamari, request they fry you up a few. It's mighty tasty hot out of the fryer. Even though the chefs might get annoyed at you, order as much fresh things from them as possible. Sometimes the food on the belts have been sitting there for a long time and when you bite down on something old...you can tell. My personal favorite dishes are creamy scallops, seared salmon, the calamari and Restaurant is clean and service is pretty good once you are seated. For those who always wanted to try sushi and have been to shy to try this is a decent place to start. No one is watching you unless you eat 30 plates of sushi.

I know a lot of people don't like this place because it's kind of like the McDonald's of sushi. But I LOVE it here. This and the Lynnwood location is probably the best of all the sushiland locations in Washington. The food is not the best sushi I have ever tasted, but hey you get what you pay for. And I think the price is great for decent sushi. I love their seared ebi, calamari, and udon. They're always on top of the food requests and would always come around asking if we needed anything else. And when I say "they" I mean the chefs. The waiters/waitresses are another story; sometimes you get a really nice and friendly server and other times they can be downright rude. But I don't really care as long as I get my sushi! I've been to many other places that are like Sushiland, i.e. Blue C Sushi, Genki, Kaiten, Tengu, etc, but none of these places can really come close to the food taste and price of Sushiland!

Of the local kaiten sushi joints, this one is the worst and the contest isn't even close. The rolls are unappetizing looking with poor cuts and loose rice, the fish is tough to chew and the service is lax at best. What really had me finishing early and getting out of there were the seared salmon nigiri that were being put up on the belt without covers and when they made it over to my seat they had fruit flies walking all over them. That was my cue to exit and quickly. Don't, just don't.

I have to say my visit here was not worth the 25 minute wait, and if I have to wait again that long the next time I'm here, I think I'll just walk right out and head to Miyabi's. The only thing I think that will keep me coming back? Their miso udon soup with 1 tempura shrimp...which isn't on the little fold out menu, conveyor belt, or on their special board...you have to ask!

Good sushi. This was the very first sushi restaurant that Ive ever been to. Always have to wait a very long time just to get in and eat because the place is always packed. The sushi taste kind of taste but the quality if it not that much. Looked like it has been out on the conveyer belt for a while now

I eat here often because it's cheap and decent for sushi "fast food." This place is usually crowded and there's a wait, but not too long. Service is hit or miss. You usually get your drink order in when you're getting seated and the drinks come pretty quickly. As for re-fills, you usually have to waive someone down, but when you do, they take care of it quickly. The fish is usually fresh -- there's some occasions when the mackerel and yellow tail is a bit fishier than normal. Sometimes, they have fried salmon collar...I love it! I love the panko friend shrimp rolls (ebi)! Spider roll and spicy tuna hand roll with avocado and green onion are two of my favorites. Would like to see more creativity with the sushi roll options. It's not a destination, but hits the spot when I'm in the hood.

Same delightful Sushi Land food at Sushi Land prices, but with terrible service given the notably larger space. Ironic, since it is conveyor belt sushi.
