JOEY Southcenter Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

My boyfriend and I came for dinner last night. We like going here when we can't decide on a type of food to eat. I like their menu because they have something that will satisfy almost any craving.. Pasta, salad, burgers, sushi, etc. We sat in the bar area. The waitstaff were extremely attentive despite it being pretty busy. I was impressed! We ordered hibachi wings to start which are our favs. Not your traditional huge wings, these are on the smaller side. I was definitely like "whaaat are thooose" when I first ordered them but I've grown to love them lol. Sometimes smaller is better! I had the rainbow roll as my main dish and my boyfriend got the bacon cheddar burger with fries + blue cheese. I am obsessed with their fries! They are skinny shoelace, and nice and crispy. The roll was okay but I really liked the burger so we ended up trading haha. The food also came out in a timely manner which was a huge plus!

This spot is my jam! I love the Szechuan Edammame, rainbow roll and baja fish tacos. Recently they got rid of the spicy edammame and I was devastated!! They lost an entire STAR because of it. They were gonna be a 4-5 star all day. BRING IT BACK JOEY!!

If you're looking for a "club" feel in Tukwila and you need a drink after midnight, this may be your only option. We headed there post-Mariners game, and were easily the least fancy people in the joint. The staff was attentive, and all dressed in LBDs. If you want to pay $12 for a Jack and Coke with slushy on top, go. If not, drink at home. I will say the food was really good, even if I think $15 nachos are silly. The chef is an Iron Chef champ/ James Beard award winner and the menu shows it. Too fancy for our taste, but good food in the middle of the night.

This is actually my spot when I am lazy to drive to downtown Seattle to meet up with friends. Pretty waitresses prancing around while talking to my friends and listening to the background music... Yes, it definitely is good for a lounge environment in Tukwila. The foods are pretty good, and it is nice to see the kitchen team takes the time to decorate the foods with some creativity. Again, you should check out this place if you feel lazy to drive to Seattle with the hassle of looking for a parking spot. There'll always be parking spots around the mall area for you.

Another location that I love to visit, and it is conveniently located next to the mall. They have awesome outside seating with comfortable couches and seats. The inside is very urban and feels like a lounge. The food is amazing of course. The staff is beautiful and friendly and service is fast even on busy nights. The food ranges everywhere from salad to sushi to seafood to steak. Never been disappointed with anything I ordered!

Came for drinks on a Friday night and had a wonderful time! The service was great and the drinks were better. We sampled a few appetizers that were just OK but we weren't there for the food! Lol The atmosphere is real comfortable, you can dress up or down which is great! This was a great pre-game spot for our group!!

There's never really a wait here, which I love. The servers are pretty and attentive. And the food is delicious. I started out with a passion fruit margarita, really good, just wish it was bigger. I tried their fried Korean cauliflower- too die for. Easily could've mistaken it for chicken- not a bad thing. I need to make this at home. It seems as though this may be the replacement for their Szechuan edamame (?). The margarita and cauliflower were filling in itself..but...decided to try the braised beef short rib, it was either that or the Ahi tuna salad (also amazing), but fell for the claims of "fork tender" meat. And the meat was just that, flavorful and super tender. My only complaint is that there are too many choices on the menu, mainly because they all sound so good you wish you could eat it all. First world problems.

This restaurant reminds me of one that would be found in one of the Vegas hotels. It's very contemporary and sleek; the ambience is fantastic. There's a nice patio area (21+), trendy bar area, and the restaurant is clean and spacious. This place is for adults, but we had children (because we are traveling) and the hostesses and our waiter couldn't have been more gracious. They were smiling, friendly, accommodating-the service was spectacular!! The food was excellent! The Chicken Cesar Salad was amazing. The Fettuccine Alfredo was delicious and fresh. The Ahi Fish Tacos and the Fish Tacos were perfect. We added a green sauce to the fish tacos because it did need a little something. The Rainbow Roll was also tasty and fresh. It comes with REAL crab, which most people would enjoy, but I personally don't think it flows with the sushi. The texture is that of canned tuna fish in my opinion. This is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. The flavors are all very clean and delicious, but not my favorites. I will only give 5s for my personal favorites, but I think anybody who goes here will love it! Definitely a fun spot in this town of.... I forgot the name of the town I'm in as I write this...Tilamuk?

Smh. The staffs are nice, but the chef--I sent the Steak back to the kitchen because it wasn't rare. I barely could eat the next steak because it was too salty. Three glasses of water to chase it down. Even the veggie was salty. There's no way that steak deserved $30. I've tasted better over cooked steak at Sharis. I would come back here for appetizers and see to maybe update my reviews.

Met a friend here for dinner because it is halfway between Tacoma and Seattle. I was not impressed :( Our waitress took FOREVER to do anything, seriously we sat there for 30 minutes after our meal waiting for our check and she was nowhere to be found. I got the ahi tuna tacos. Portion was TINY. 4 tacos that were 2-3 bites each. I was expecting some decent sized tacos for $12.5... They also seriously skip out on the booze in their cocktails. I ordered a stiff lemonade and a Bellini and I felt nothing from them and tasted no booze... And I am a lightweight these days. We were also told that there was AC inside but they had all the windows and doors open so we were sweating... Definitely will not be coming back.

The intention was to go to the cheesecake, however since the lines were out the door and with two hour wait we came here. We got a table right away and the servers were very quick. We ordered the nachos. Which were good but it was like they dumped a whole can of black beans on there. I had the sushi which was really good. I love the atmosphere cause I didn't have to shout to speak to the person next to me. The reason for the missing stars, I think this place is extremely overpriced compared to the cheesecake. It is a little bizarre with all the servers being in black micro dresses. I feel like I'm in a Robert Palmer video. It makes it kind of odd to enjoy rich potato fries when you have a 90 pound woman in a black skin tight dress serving you. I found myself thinking when was last time that she ate ?I kind of felt like I was at a high end hooters in black.

Hate giving this 2 Stars because the atmosphere and food was amazing, but the service was unbelievably horrible. It was an uncrowded Sunday night and our party of 5 sat on the patio for drinks and dinner. We constantly had to remind our server about our drinks...when he was around. Multiple times we got up and pulled another server to ask where our items were and if we could get refills, silverware, place another drink order, etc. At one point I looked around to see if we were on a hidden camera show, it was that bad. I ordered the USDA Steak and Sushi and it was delicious. The steak was cooked well and the roll was fresh and well prepared. This dinner was on a business trip so most likely wouldn't be back, but would probably give it another shot if I was in the area again.

We had the calamari, I suggest skipping, to start. It had absolutely no salt. I'm not a huge salt fan, but I can tell if there's none. I ordered the tuna sashimi salad, and that was flavorful. It had the sesame flavored dressing. My friend requested to have her ceasar salad substituted with prawns, and they were accommodating. Everyone from the hostess to the servers were quite polite and nice. I'd be back again the next time we have a shopping day.

Nice place with great fish tacos. Reasonably priced and good atmosphere. Enjoy the outside dining area

Service was amazing... We ordered the chicken sandwich which was amazing. Of course I got the fresh squeezed IPA which was at my table in the blink of an eye. Hannah, our server, was beautiful and very very nice! Very attentive.

  • Mandy A.

Absolutely amazed!! We almost didn't come here because service is a big thing for us and the reviews were saying the service was bad. That was not the case for us. Not only was the food amazing till the last bite but our server Bailey was wonderful! She was prompt and kept checking on us. All in all Id give this place more than a 5 star if there was a way. A must try!!

  • CHRISTINA S.

ZERO stars for service which is too bad because the food is yummy. I think they need to film an episode of Mystery Diners here. We ended up missing birthday plans due to the terrible and slow service. And it wasn't even busy! I counted two tables of four and one party of six along with a few people at the bar. No wonder the restaurant next door is a two hour wait. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

  • Nittaya S.

Came here a few time and i had amazing service every time. The food is great, my favorite is the Ahi Tuna Salad, and their fried chicken wings. It's a nice place to come hang-out/ catch up with friends, even at the bar, the staff here is fun and the restaurant has a great ambiance.

Worst service out of all the Joeys in Washington. Be prepared to wait 30min to pay your tab.

  • Gary S.

Bar keep is super fake friendly. Food was above par for a bar but my meal was served to the wrong table then charged to me twice. The waitress was pleased with herself and surprised I wasn't super happy that I didn't have to pay for a double charge. Really? It took so long to get my dinner I was late for the movie, despite being early when I started out for the evening. I will say that the drinks were full strength, no watered down booze at Joeys. People are here for the trendy environment and sexy waitresses. Imagine if Hooters had a little class. I got dinner and a show when my waitress bent over to set things down. If that is what you want, this is your kind of place. Joeys isn't my kind of bar because I am a grown up. I am sure it will remain plenty popular with the 20-something crowd and people who can't handle an in-person conversation, are impressed by glitz & glam and don't care about poor service. Ambient noise is high, not a good social conversational bar. All in all, I am unimpressed and will avoid.

  • Marijana Z.

Been here a few times and loved it. The food is great and the atmospheres is nice as well . My only complaint so far is that they took the edamame off the menu, that stuff was delicious! Bring it back!

    (5)
  • Jessica S.

Joeys food is okay, but sadly the service sucks. Well at least to me!! The girls only concentrate on the men and stay flirting, hey do what u have to do to get ur tips but damn and can you that and serve ur other guest. So I give it a 2 just because the service, then the food isn't as good as I thought it would be for the price they charge. Sadly I won't go there again unless I have too.

  • Whitney B.

Terrible service! There were nine of us at the table and every single one of our meals required silverware. No silverware was brought to the table nor were napkins. I've been here so many times and not reciveved service like this. I enjoy the food and atmosphere and normally the service is great. We had to ask for silverware each time a meal was brought out and also had to go get silverware and napkins from the bar. Very frustrating visit. I get that it is a Friday night, but there was no reason for that.

I recently dined at JOEY for my partner's mother's birthday dinner. It was an utter disappointment! One glaring problem was with the service. We had one main-ish server, and she was very nice! However, the service was very slow, and in the course of this one meal, we had about four different servers visit our table. The biggest problem with this was the fact that when the food finally came, the random lady who brought it gave everyone the wrong meal, and was constantly swapping plates around the table. Even worse than everyone getting the wrong dish, though, was the timing of the entrees. Half of the people at our table ordered salmon dishes, and the others ordered steaks. The salmon dishes came out all at once, and the server told us she would head back to get the rest of the dishes. About 6-7 minutes later, two of the remaining three dishes came out... About 5-6 minutes AFTER they came out, the last dish was delivered. Pretty ridiculous, considering the price of the dishes. Yet another issue - all the steaks were ordered medium-rare. Despite taking so dang long, all of them were incredibly rare. My partner actually had to send his back because it was still cold and raw in the middle! When it finally came back 10 minutes later, it was - of course - overcooked. I don't know.. It seemed like everything was way overpriced for what we got. The overall experience is one that I won't be going back for. Some people seem to like the place, but

For the many that have headquarters in the Southcenter/Tukwila area, this is by far the best place to entertain your guests. This is one of the few restaurant chains that knows how to prepare a prime dip sandwich. The portions are generous and the au jus is splendid. Staff is attentive. This Joey's is not as über "frantic" as the others. You won't have to arm wrestle someone for a table or a place at the bar. You can actually get a seat and have a decent meal and experience.

  • Ilya S.

So this is pretty nice but the service here will ruin your whole experience. I'm just gonna say they need to re-train some of their staff... Our group sat down and were greeted by our server. Everything was going great until she did not come back for 20 min to ask for drink orders. The drinks came out from the bar and then we waited 45 min to place our order. We actually had to flag her down and tell her we are ready. We were talking in the group so it wasn't as bad, but still 45 minutes... The food came out and it was really nice. I didn't get a steak knife so I had to stare at my sirloin for a good 10 min before I could flag her down and ask for one. We ordered another round from her at that point and she totally forgot about it. Half an hour later we called her on it and they came out 5 minutes later. The weird thing is she did not even ask to take our plates when we were done. We ended up just handing it to one of the other servers when she walked by. It's a nice restaurant and I expected more. The check said her name was Tessa G and she just need to have some more training or coaching. I say give this place some time to get their stuff in order before you go there. I'm going elsewhere for now.

Joey's has an average of 3.5 stars at the time of my review. That's just about right, too, in my opinion. Joey's has the potential to be much better, though, if they could just pick it up in a few areas. The food is good, at least from selections that I've tried. The problem is getting it to you in an organized and timely manner. This is where Joey's falls short. I'm not.sure if it's because there is no one person responsible for pulling the whole order together or what. There definitely appears to be a staff rotation in play that ultimately disrupts continuity. The other issue, I think, is a wait staff that is perhaps used to people waiting on them, rather than the other way around. I know that appears to be a harsh criticism, but the waitresses are young, beautiful women...rather, girls, that may not have the highest focus on customer.service I like the swanky, upscale atmosphere. I like the beautiful waitstaff. I like the drink selection and the food. If Joey's could just "tie the knot" with all of the good things it has going for it, they could be 4 to 5 stars instead of 3.

We came for lunch on a quiet Saturday afternoon after fighting for a parking space. This place usually is crowded in the evenings, but we were happy to come at an off time to avoid the crowd. The waitresses all looked like someone right out of a Robert Palmer video. We started with the calamari fritti appetizer. The breading was heavier than what we like, but it wasn't greasy. There were onions fried in the mix as a filler, but I liked the taste. My companion had the rotisserie chicken. He said t was really good. It must be free range chicken because it was really tiny. I enjoyed the veggies that came with it. I tried the French dip sandwich. The prime rib was sliced super thin and was rare. It melted in my mouth. The French roll was grilled and greasy. It came with skinny fries. My companion really liked the French dip. Since the chicken was such a small portion, he had to eat half my sandwich to fill him up. Despite having good service throughout our meal, things went south quickly after that. It took half an hour to get our check and quite a bit more to process the payment. Considering the restaurant was mostly empty, we weren't sure why it took so long. The waitress kept coming by and filling out water, but seemed to constantly forget about our check.

  • Carina M.

Not quite really deserving of a 3 star review, but neither does it merit a 2 star one, either. Food was good, but it struck as bit more of a fancy comfort food place. Ordered chicken nachos as an appetizer, with chicken on the side since Mr Carina is a vegetarian. Ordered the burger and fries. I always judge places on their burger and fries. The patty was so bone dry. I felt that the dryness relied upon the moisture of the tomatoes, lettuce and pickles. While it was incredibly dry, it was seasoned extremely well. Fries were all right for being match stick/skinny fries. We chose JOEY Southcenter because they had a vegetarian menu. Which consisted of them pulling the handful of vegetarian menu items they had and putting it on a menu...you know, all FOUR items. Maybe it was five, but it was disappointing. Mr Carina M had a salad and subbed out the chicken and put in chicken protein substitute. He freaked out for a minute because when it arrived, it really looked like chicken on his salad. I took one for the team and had a bite - nope. Fake chicken it was! He seemed all right for the salad. I did not see seething Mr Carina M during dinner. HUZZAH! Overall, it's a nice place with hit-miss service and slightly expensive food. We'll go back eventually.

I'm becoming less and less of a fan of Joey's as time goes on. What once was one of my favorite bars to sit and relax while enjoying good food and awesome drinks. However, the menu has changed and so has the quality of their food. They use etched glasses with their logo on them to "measure" their alcohol servings. I guess this is good for inventory and cost purposes. My question to Joey lovers is this, " Why do you enjoy going here?" "What makes Joey's so special?" My answer would be that it's a nice ambience and fairly decent bar food. Theres nothing so special about Joey's anymore. Hopefully the owners will step up their game. There is so much competition out there...It's a shame to witness Joey's become an ordinary restaurant over time.

  • Shelby S.

I and a friend went for lunch today, and the food was fantastic! We started with the Gyoza and some wine, and then I ordered the Beach Salad. She ordered the salmon. Both were really really good and filled us up! The reason for the lacking star is because the service was nonexistent. The hostess at the front did more than our waitress... and that was not much.

    (4)
  • Gregg F.

Terrible service. Ended up sitting at the bar to get served. The hostess is a useless position here if they don't actually host. Who cares about the food if it takes you an hour to get served.

  • Maria A.

I really really liked this place. The cocktails were great, BIG, & affordable. The food is a bit on the expensive side but the portions were generous. Ahi tuna club was very tasty. The shoestring fries were ok, I prefer thicker French fries. The pimm's cup was yummy & so was the vodka soda with slush. The drinks were adequately strong. The spinach & artichoke dip was nothing special but good. Although for the price I feel like they could have given us just a bit more. Our service was wonderful, waitress was friendly & attentive but didn't overdo it. 4 stars bc they need better happy hour times & better prices on the appetizers. Classy restaurant in a convenient location. Definitely coming back!

  • Aaron W.

Great atmosphere !!! Expensive food for the little portions...great drinks , okay customer service the waitress seem like they work doubles all week but the look good so it's okay

    (3)
  • Chris J.

Food was good for the price, though it took awhile to get. The setting is pretty nice. The waitresses are all dressed in a cheap looking black mini dress, which matches there cold stares. Service is really why I'd vote 3 stars, otherwise it was a good place to go,

    (3)
  • Doug J.

Heard this place called high class hooters and it's clear they have targeted their waitstaff to meet a specific appearance . The food is decent but pricey. You get the sense this is a place to be seen and grab a drink or three in route to your final destination or maybe a final resting spot. It definitely suffers from acoustics and gets loud as the place fills up. I came for a business lunch meeting , I think everyone felt cool about using it as a spot but no one was blown away by the food . Not some place I'm going to bring the family back too

    (3)
  • Melissa C.

Went here for lunch and had a really good meal! I ordered steak frites and crispy mashed potatoes. Sooo good! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the steak is a lot smaller than I expected. As small as a kid's fist. But other than that the food is amazing. And good customer service as well!

  • Dalina L.

This is my 3rd time going to Joey's, and i'm not a fan AT ALL. I had the fish taco, and their summer sangaria. Fish tacos were OKAY, it included some sort of buffalo sauce, which did make it better, it was tangy and spicy, which i absolutely love. The sangaria was alright, nothing special. Service was horrible, they were sooooo slow it was ridiculous. We asked for our check 20 minutes before our waiter came, and after the 20 minutes... he came and asked if we wanted our check, are you kidding me? Not only was the service slow, but the other waitresses were not doing anything at all either, yeah they're good looking and all, but not all that friendly or quick at getting their duties finished. I would only come here if i had to, which is for a birthday dinner or for a date but if i wanted some good food and good service, i wouldn't choose to come to Joey's, sorry

  • Nancy R.

I've been to this location many time but The last two times I've been to joeys have been ..ehhh.. Waitress was far from attentive. I ordered the Penang curry with brown rice, satisfying to say the least. Bartenders sure do know how to make great drinks in a fast pace. Vancouver, B.C location is always promising with great service!

  • Rusty F.

The food is amazing- it's fresh and made to order. The atmosphere is elegant and It's really a great place to meet up with friends or coworkers. The menu is somewhat limited however and it's smart casual. This isn't your fast food joint- the food prices are priced in accordance to higher end quality.

  • Carrie B.

We had an unusual time here tonight. Very slow service. Slow to get our drinks. Slow to ask if we were ready to order. Very slow for the actual meal to come out. The steaks were cooked nicely, however, they were barely warm when we got them. So they must have sat on the counter cooling for too long. At one point, they turned the lights out. But they did not light any of the candles on the tables. We thought the power went out. So we asked, hey did you lose your lights.? The server asked if we wanted the lights back on, to which I said, uh yeah, we'd like to eat with lights. It was still light outside but raining, but still who turns the lights out without lighting all the table candles. Was very awkward. We had to ask for a refill on the coffee, and when it came, we saw floaters in it. It had lots of coffee grounds in it. Yeah we left saying - what an awkward meal. We don't plan on returning.

This place is horrible! I went there on a weekday evening, we ordered a pasta and seafood entrée and they messed up on our requests twice! They forgot the appetizer, drinks took forever to arrive and water refills are non existent. At the same time, they all hang out and socialize in the bar and have a drink or two. Makes me SMH, don't they work for tips? Isn't customer service their only job? Not sure, why they continue messing up our meals on such a consistent basis. We have stopped visiting, and visited other more tastier dining options in the greater Seattle area. Must say I do not miss their bitchy, dull stares when you mention something is wrong, or where is my drink/appetizer? Did I mention, NEVER place a to go order with them? They mess it up every single time! No dressing for a over priced $30 salmon Caesar? Really?! And a tiny sloppy piece of old salmon as well. They prepare it really messy, give no condiments, or utensils. If you must, please double check then be prepared to wait around another 15-20 mins so they can fix your order since they most likely messed it up. Joey's you suck!!!! The staff here is also the most unattractive bunch. Chubby Asian girl, some short haired bland looking girl named Simone, and many others. Head to U Vill, they will treat you much much better!

    (1)
  • Allison P.

So I like Joeys. I usually get drinks and the blue cheese fries. Haven't gotten real food so can't comment on that. And I mainly sit in the bar. So to start super crowded when football is on. Our server was really sweet (Naomi?) we asked some questions about drinks and she was helpful. The AMF Spanish margaritas so good!! Had strawberry and raspberry! Next had my beloved Bellini, which did not taste as good as I remember. Very dissatisfied with it. But the bleu cheese fries amazing! Love that it's the thin fries! Will be back for new favorite drink and fries! Oh and they have a pretty decent drink specials just depends on what day you come.

I waited till I visited a 3rd time. The service is still horrible. Everytime I have visited this place, it never fails, the service is horrible. They take forever to take your order or even return to your table. The food is very poor quality. The only saving grace is the cool open floor plan of the bar area and decor. Never again!

  • W O.

I've been a regular here...the service is usually pretty good, except when they keep switching servers on us, but I'm used to it by now. The atmosphere is great, bar is nice, play live sports on a multitude of fairly large TVs, decent food, good drinks, and the outdoor seating is nice. Nice spot.

  • Ticha A.

First time here and I would have to say it's been a horrible experience. First things first got seated, no water was given or anything. When we got food no utensil or napkins was given. The waitress attention was towards other tables with guys and all. Although when we asked for the bill and boxes for food she was quick with it. Never coming here again when I'm in town. :/

I came here with my now boyfriend for a date night Nov. 2014. We choose to sit in the self sitting/bar 21+ area verses the restaurant. I was really impressed by the atmosphere/vibe, it was very crowded and seemed like the place to be that Friday night. They have a lot of neat sitting options on the bar side and we would have liked to sit on one of the couches near the fireplace but the sitting fills up FAST and is first come first serve. The menu had some interesting selections, however as a vegetarian, I was disappointed. I had to ask the waitress what all I could have and it wasn't much- the waitress also didn't seem to really know the menu well and had to return to the kitchen several times to ask which was appreciated, maybe she was new. I read online to try the parm cheese fries, but I didn't see this listed on the menu. When I asked the waitress, she knew exactly what I was talking about and the fries were delicious, however I got the strong impression that a lot of what is offered here isn't listed on the menu. My boyfriend raved about the wings he had, the bar drinks were on point (long islands- very strong & tasty), service was decent (not the best) the portions were very small and the bill was expensive. I got the fettuccine pasta which was bland, would love to see more vegetarian options on the menu. CONS- Seating is spaced very close together Best seats fill up quickly and will most likely be unavailable Portion size Limited Menu Price PROS- Atmosphere Parm Cheese Fries (Must order) Wings (Must Order) Bar Drinks Ordered (about $70 before tip): Wings Parm Cheese Fries 3 Bar Drinks Fettuccine Alfredo 4 stars because we plan to return to Joey's for another night out, even though its pricey. Next time we may skip dinner and just go for drinks and maybe the fries because we were both hungry immediately after our dinner here but the vibe is great for us.

This is amazing place and just love it. The ambience, service and last but not least food everything is world class and outstanding. Our server is Simone and is simply amazing a Hollywood material, Joey got lucky to have her here. I can imagine if Tuesday night is busy how it can get crazy on Friday or Saturday night! I would come back and recommend friends just to try it for a relaxing hang out and dinner.

Great atmosphere, but the beer was warm. At $6.50 a pint it ought to be below room temperature.

  • Riannon M.

Excellent food, drinks and service! We ordered the lettuce wraps without cilantro. Our dish ended up coming out with cilantro on it but we ate it anyway, it was too over powering. When our waitress found out she was very apologetic and insisted a manager came over, even after we repeatedly said it was okay. They went above and beyond to make sure we were still happy with our experience. Highly recommend the passionfruit margarita! Delicious!

This place reminds me of that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine tries to accuse a diner owner of discrimination by only hiring women with big breasts. Personally, I enjoy that my co-workers habitually pick this upscale center of urban chic tucked between BJ's and Blue C Sushi. JOEY is custom built for the business lunch diner with comfy seating, a professional air and pretty things to look at every which way you turn. My female co-workers enjoy watching the wide variety of male reactions to the staff at each table, which are plentiful on weekdays at lunch time. So it's the proverbial cherry on top that the food here is pretty good, too. My co-workers consistently order the fried fish tacos, bacon cheeseburgers and the beach salad. The waitresses are very efficient, friendly and considerate of guests waiting for others in their party to arrive. I'm a sucker for the chicken souvlaki with their fantastic shoestring fries! It's a warm soft pita filled with marinated chicken breast, iceberg, tomatoes, hummus and tzaziki sauce that is served in a paper bag to keep the mess factor down. I'm grateful that they only provide you with a small dish of the fries or I'd make a huge pig of myself. I'd be pretty happy if I just ordered those if I wasn't sure of the inevitable carb crash at 3 o' clock. The reason I downgraded them to 3 stars is the prices. I realize that this place is a child of a well-known chef and that the ingredients are probably reasonably high, but the prices here are excessive for lunch. The beach salad is $16 and my souvlaki is over $13 for starters. I couldn't bring myself to try the lunch portion of salmon for $19. Oh, and no doggie bag ever needed from here. The portions are enough for one meal for the girls and not quite enough for some of the men in my party. But otherwise, come on down. It's toobular boobular fun for all!

Good food. The sirloin was good and I enjoyed the wings. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. It was during the week but was still busy for a late night. I will return.

My friends and I walked in, trying to a catch a blazers' game tonight. The waitress who was supposed to help us wasn't helpful at all. She left us alone at the bar and did nothing. She didn't know what channel it was, didn't go figure it out. We waited forever for her to change the channel. But she appeared it to be rude and impatient. I definitely don't want to get any more lousy service from her. So we left.

Excellent food. Knowledgeable bartenders for most drinks. I enjoy coming here. Good looking people. Late night is definitely better. Little bummed out with my recent visit. Most Joeys (UW and Bellevue) have a great selection of wine. Southcenter was lack luster, not to mention the sticky wine glass with smudges... oh well.... it's southcenter. Go with the fish tacos or sushi. You'll be full. Enjoy.

Let me start by saying that Joey is a beautiful restaurant with a great menu, (almost always) excellent service and great staff. I'm just sad about some menu changes and my most recent experience last night: They removed my all time favorite menu item, sweet chili chicken, from their menu a while ago (I still don't understand why--it seems like it was pretty popular!), which was such a bummer. However, you used to be able to make a special request and they'd whip it up for you. I had a craving a few months ago and came in for a fix, and was told that they "couldn't make it that day", which I totally understood and figured my luck had just run out. However, a friend of mine who works at another Joey Restaurant said that they still made it all the time off-menu at her location, and she advised me that if I ever wanted to go back, I should call ahead to see if my favorite dish would be available for order. Nothing else on the menu really sparks my interest, and my hubby isn't as obsessed with it as I am and would happily dine elsewhere, so when we agreed to head to Joey for our anniversary dinner last night I followed my friend's advice and called ahead to make sure I'd be able to get my favorite food! I'm pregnant and the cravings are strong-- getting what I'm hankering for is REALLY important lately :) I spoke to someone who assured me that yes, the chili chicken had been taken off the menu but that it is still available by request, even that she "orders it for herself all the time." I was so excited! An hour later, we were sitting at our table ready to order, and my server informed me that they no longer made the dish and wouldn't accommodate any special requests for it. She was super nice about it, but even when I told her I'd spoken to someone about it and been told it would be available, she dismissed it as a misunderstanding. Sad face :( I've worked as a server, and I understand kitchen politics. It's totally not the server's fault! I still think Joey has a great atmosphere and awesome staff--it was just such a bummer that after going out of my way to ask ahead of time, and getting so excited about the prospect of celebrating our anniversary over a plate of my absolute favorite food, to be told no once I got there and have to settle for something else on the menu that looked pretty but didn't taste all that good. We would have gone to another favorite restaurant if we'd known we couldn't get what we'd come in for. Just put a bit of damper on an otherwise amazing anniversary night. On the plus side, my husband's steak & sushi was apparently excellent! JOEY, BRING BACK YOUR SWEET CHILI CHICKEN!!!!!!! I can't be the only one missing it!

First and Last time here. I scheduled our work Christmas party here. After someone told me they would be good for a large group. I scheduled it a few weeks in advance, We were told we would have semi private dining in there formal dining area. (This is the only reason I wanted to plan it there so we could hear each and have our own area) We arrived early and had a few drinks in the bar area. When our reservation time rolled around we were told we would be seated in the main dining room. The manager said there must be mis-understanding and said she will comp some of our appetizers. The staff was friendly but didn't bring the food out on time and forgot a few things mixed up. It was to loud in the main dining room and we could barely hear each other. Also the seating was poor and crammed. The food.... Was not worth the price , I Have been to finer dining establishments with better quality food and better ingredients and flavor profiles.

I rarely write 1 star reviews, especially for a somewhat of an upscale restaurant by industry standards. By I had to share to my experience. It's still surprises me how the whole customer service experience, especially in today's restaurant world, remains subjected to one's appearance. After running some errands, my wife and I decided to stop in for a quick drink and a bite to eat. I've been to Joey's before. But it was more for lounging than anything...food options were minimal at best. So after hearing about how much the restaurant spent revamping their brand and menu to cater more towards that of a full-scale restaurant, I decided why not? Walked in, greeted by the hostess..great! We aren't fans of waiting (but who is?!) so we opted for the bar. First come first serve seating. Grabbed a table right away. It took a good 10 minutes before someone came by. Greeted by a waitress. Forgot her name but she wore the Hawaiian hibiscus flower in her hair. She was great. But that would've been the last we've seen of her. Greeted by ANOTHER waitress. Based on their "system" they have 2 separate people serving you - one for food and one for drinks...a waste of overhead if you ask me. Anyways, so far so good. Drink waitress was awesome but kind of rushed the service since she was approaching the end of her shift - which was apparent as she checked out immediately after taking our drink order and joining another party right next to us for drinks of her own. Drinks came quickly and served by her sub. Yet ANOTHER waitress comes by to take our food order. She was great, looked and sounded like she might have just started working there. She took our order, no problem. Mentioned that the Hibiscus wearing waitress was too "busy" even though we saw her serving and waiting all the other tables around us. Alright then..a little irritated now (strike 1). Ordered food and wife ended up being allergic to the dish (Nachos) we ordered as it contained peanuts, which wasn't specified at all on the menu or mentioned to us (strike 2). Only then was the staff on high alert, for obvious reasons of course since we could've potentially sued. Luckily my wife and I always carry Benadryl and an EpiPen for instances like this...we eat out a lot at on Capitol Hill so it's a must. Manager came out, apologized and offered the "allergy" menu which contained a more elaborate description of the ingredients of each of their dishes...AFTER THE FACT of course. She was helpful, more cautious at that point. Nachos were comped but that was it. Drinks went to waste (not comped) because she had taken the Benadryl. Long story short, we finished dinner. And received our bill. At that point, I think they were glad to be done with us....like a burden had been lifted off their shoulders. Pathetic. It will probably be the last time I go there. But if I do end up there, I might as well act like Vegas club head jack-ass since they seem to get way better service from what I've seen. I should've stuck to the food court and that guy who hands out teriyaki on a tooth pick...at least I'll get what I pay for i.e shit food for shit service.

For the young men, the waitresses here are good eye candy for you. I would say it's a downscale version of Earl's Bellevue. Happy hour at this Joey's is much better than other branches I have been at. The Ahi tuna taco is relatively good with the wasabi sauce. The burgers are a good size and the apple crostada is enough for two. For late night snacks, I would highly recommend this location especially since it is conveniently by the freeway and by the movie theatres. I think the service is okay, but there are days when it's so busy you could get ignored or overlooked by the waitresses. For the most part, they try their best and do a decent job. There are TVs on both sides of the four sided bar for sports fans and the lounge area is comfortable for lazy Joes or a tired worker.

Super sonic gin and tonic: a must. Never had a gin and with a lemon-lime slush shot but now I'm questioning why nobody else had thought of this idea before? It's great, you gotta get it if you love gin and tonics. Blue cheese fries is not on the menu and even if you're not a blue cheese fan (like me), you'll still enjoy it. The cheese is not overwhelming and the shoe string cuts of potato is just right. Ahi tuna salad: great. Order it, you'll enjoy it and you'll feel good about yourself afterwards.

First time here, came here for a late dinner. Ordered the veggie burger and it was on the pricey side, but it was delicious! It was nice and comfy we were able to sit out on the patio area and relax.

I think I was told by a former Joey's server years ago that they don't hire ugly people, and that is certainly true. I don't know if any men work here at all (maybe back in the kitchen) because I only saw ladies. Anyway, the mood in there is very South Beach, and I loved that in the back of the bar they have lounge areas with couches which are perfect for larger groups. The whiskey sours came with whipped egg whites to give it a frothy texture, which was a nice surprise. The mediterranean flatbread with pesto and shrimp was pretty dang good. Very good place to go; most reviews complain about the service and we weren't ignored, but the shifts changed twice during our visit so we had 3 different servers.

Great food and service. We ordered steaks and the Ravioli with Prawns. The crispy mashed potatoes that came with the steaks are delicious and the steaks and ravioli were cooked just right. Our server was attentive and friendly and the hostess made sure we were satisfied with our dining experience. Joey's is our new favorite place!

I was skeptical at first because the menu is not extensive, however everything I got was AMAZING!! Best ceaser salad I have ever had! Chicken nachos were also delicious. The service was amazing. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

My favorite Joey, I will ONLY go to this location. Food is pretty consistent at all other locations, but service doesn't even compare. They have the hottest girls that works which I don't really care, but when they do also have the BIGGEST brain here! Or actually I'll just be happy if employees at other locations even have a brain. Let me start off by saying I'm not picky at all, all I ask for is that you don't take half an hour to bring out my water and another WHOLE hour to take my order, bring it out, & give me my check when the restaurant is practically empty, but you keep disappearing because flirting with male customers that's can be your father's age at your ONE other table is more important than taking care of your table that is tipping you based on your service & not great looks. I've had that same exact problem every single time at every other Joey, but at the Southcenter location! Great service each & every time, I've never felt like I was being rudely talking to here or sense a hint of snobbishness at all. Props for training your employees how to actually serve! Beautiful presentation on all dishes, let's be honest;it is one of those places where the portion would be smaller and more expensive, but it's worth it to be in a friendly & inviting atmosphere. When you leave, the host will never just simply say "have a nice day" with a smile, they will walk up to you and show an interest in you by asking how your service was, and then hold the door open for you to leave. I heart Joey because of this location.

First time here and heard from friends that the food was good. But sad to say I was not impressed. The food is overpriced. We asked for iced water with lemon which they served with NO ice and was no where near cold. Ordered their Steak Frites for lunch and was very disappointed at the portion of the steak. The food was okay but not great in my humble opinion but people seem to like it. Anyway I don't think I'll be going back.

Joey's... all Joey's are the same. The decor is sort of trendy on the douchebag side, the prices are a little too high... but the food delivers and that's what matters. I came here in a bad mood (see my BJs review) on New Years Day and left in a great mood. Service was very attentive, although our waiter seemed either a little new, or just culturally didn't know what to make of my weird under-dressed family (I'm pretty sure I was wearing shorts) who didn't know about football or want drink refills. I got a burger, my wife got some soup and salad thing, my son got a french dip. I also had a beer to get over the horror of BJs. Food came pretty quickly, everything was done perfectly and tasted great (again, it's a bit more expensive than BJs or Cheesecake Factory, but it's like real food). I'm sorry other reviewers had issues with the service or food, but we saw none of that. The manager swung by at one point to see how we were doing... It was great. I'm knocking a star off for our waiter because we didn't click, but that was probably more our fault than his fault. Also I think he heard me complaining about BJs but thought I was trash talking Joey's which made everything awkward. Oh, we got dessert too and that was really good too. Key Lime Pie and some apple thing I think. Anyway, it's really good.

This place is pretty nice, the atmosphere is real chill, and the servers and bartenders are real pretty also. I usually sit at the bar instead of the restaurant. The bartender is usually real friendly and the service is usually fast. The food is on the high side when it comes to price and they don't ever have a happy hour. If they did I would probably go more often.

We were greeted promptly, but waited for close to 10 minutes to get our 2 WATERS. When out waitress came back she took our order. In the meantime as we were waiting for our food, a table of 5 people sat down near us and they recieved their food before us. Its not like we ordered a lot either. We ordered a starter caesar salad and the fish tacos. When we finally recieved our food from a different waitress we could clearly see and taste that it had been sitting under the heat lamp for some time. Never saw our waitress after she greeted us and put her name on a piece of paper on the table. Enough said. Terrible service and okay food. Lets just say our first impression was definitely our last.

Was really good for date night with my husband. He loved his steak and sushi and I loved the beach salad. One of the best salads I've had! I got a peach Bellini to drink and wish I had gone with the stiff lemonade instead. I would gladly go again

Bad food and even worse service. Nothing compared to Lake Union location. Over priced, unfriendly waitress and just a horrible experience in general. If you are considering this place ... RUN! The group I was with unanimously decided our money would have been much better spent in the mall food court.

This location is in the SouthCenter Mall, there is valet parking which is noce as the place is often packed. The food menu is usually pretty good and service is spot on. Nice to sit at the bar and people watch as it is next to the main enterance.

I always love the food here but this Saturday I had a terrible experience. The first thing wrong was it took at lease 45 minutes to get my food, the restaurant want even close to full. The second thing that went wrong was once I finally got my food it was black and completely burnt. It took another 25 minutes to get my new burger.

Dim lighting, high pricing, mediocre food. And did I mention loud. If your trying to be fashionable at least loose the paper napkins. Should have known better than to eat at the mall.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for some drinks. Started off with a Pimm's cup. I like ginger ale in my alcohol and this drink was quite refreshing. I could barely taste the alcohol which was perfect because I was starting off light. When asked for another glass, my date suggested jack and ginger. Then the waitress asked the million dollar question, "double?". Without skipping a heart beat I said yes with utter confidence and a smile. The drink was strong as it should be but quite palatable probably because of the ginger ale and not because I'm an alcoholic. Mmmmm ginger ale. We decided to order some food else let the alcohol bore a hole through our stomach. Fried Calamari was ordered and served to us. It was lightly battered and came with onions! Onions were also fried and made the dish from decent to great! Onion breath ain't got nothing on me. It also came with a dipping sauce which I emptied out. We had another double jack and ginger to end the afternoon with a slight buzz. Overall it was a great stop for a quick snack and drink. Pick your poison and double or nothing. It's your choice.

I just went to Joey's for the first time and was not impressed. Food was ok but expensive. Bar was loud and our waitress made no attempt at friendliness, maybe since there were women in our party, which is clearly not the "target" audience or demographic they are hoping to attract. The entire female wait staff wore the same "very little black dress", heels, with lots of makeup and hair. The obvious "typing" of employees was so overt you could choke. I felt like exclaiming, "I get it already".

Joeys is a great place to go to for drinks but valentines day wasn't so great. I'm picky when it comes to steak, especially how it's cooked. I like my steaks "medium" not medium well, just medium. That's not how it turned out for the steaks we ordered. My boyfriend said his steak looks like it was from a Denny's menu and they forgot to include asparagus with my steak. I mean, for a $100+ order, we could've just waited at the Cheesecake Factory instead. Still is a good place to meet up for drinks but not so much on the overly priced unflavored steaks.

The quality of the food is fantastic. It's the confusion among the wait staff and even the bitchiness of one in particular that took away from the experience. I'll return but certainly not on a busy night.

Came to grab drinks after dinner the server was great and friendly! One drink was forgotten he had vodka and soda... I'd stay away from that drink it's just not good.... I had the peach bollini!! MMMM! This one is keeper! It is almost like a slushi mixed drink I really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is really laid back as well we sat on couches and just relaxed! We shared nachos and made it mild in spice! It was delicious!! We came more for the drinks so not sure how the rest of the food tastes but this place is super big! Service was great our server was constantly smiling and making sure we were well taken care of!

This place was great ! Went with a good ole buddy mines to get a bite to eat. The food tasted great cooked well and served hot, place is nice and clean. The workers are mostly women really good looking I might say, they have a nice full bar. The only reason I marked it down to 4 stars is the service, the service was pretty bad took like 15 min to order our food are waitress was never around and after we finished our food it took like another 15-20 min to get our bill.

Every time I've been here the service has been superb, the food is brought out in a timely manner, I drink a lot of water so they always fill it when they walk by. The 500 salad and the rainbow roll is delicious.

  • Neil H.

Went there on a business lunch, had the calamari and the wings as apps. The calamari was good, the sauce was very good. The wings were really good, not too sloppy but with plenty of flavor, they were fairly small but you get quite a few to share so it works out. 6 guys ordered 5 different entrees and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. I had the steak and sushi and it was all great. Atmosphere was nice, servers were very attentive even if a little overly so...the drinks were never empty...The food was slow, ~45 mins for our entrees but it was pretty busy for lunch...All in all i'd definitely recommend for a business meeting.

  • Stephan J.

Really good food but really slow service. They also have no climate control when they open the doors to the patio. It was in the 90's outside and mid 80's inside. Nothing is worse than breaking a sweat while you eat dinner. If they could get the service to be a bit more timely it could actually be a great spot to add into the regular rotation.

Ambience is well decorated, good place to socialize and have a few drinks! Ordered their plum sour and had a few small food items: fish tacos, fries, and hand roll. Their food a okay, I think most people go there for their specialized drinks. The fries were soggy, had to ask the waitress to re-fry them a few times.

  • Tammy H.

Food was good, atmosphere nice, if you like eye candy then ok. But dinner is Pricey and you get paper napkins, tacky! What was not great is the service. We had a total of 6 different girls come to our table, not sure who was waiting on us. They over charged us for drinks we did not get, because none of these girls talked to the others? if was a very strange experience. Service was slow, food come out late. We have been here 2 times and nothing has changed. And last when I got home my card was ran twice and they charged us twice, not trying to get my money back. We will not be back.

  • Keri M.

I would not go to Joey at Southcenter mall again. The service was horrible! The girl at the front desk was talking to her friends when we walked in & ignored the 5-6 people waiting for a table. We did not receive a friendly greeting at all & I had to tell her we needed a table for 4. The person taking us to our table ran to the table before making sure we were behind him. We didn't even know we were supposed to be following him since there was lack of communication between for girl taking names at the front desk ad the person actually seating guests. Once seated, we waited for about 8 minutes until a guy asked if we wanted waters or drinks. We gave him out drink order & didn't see him again. A girl (our waitress) finally came over about 18 minutes later & said she was sorry, she was just told the table was hers so it wasn't her fault. Our server never told us her name but the receipt says Bailey. We asked about our drinks, she said she'd check on them & we placed our order. She also mentioned that she did not like the company policy of the bus boys taking drink orders. I ordered the Sushi Cone & she suggested I order something else in addition since it was a tiny dish. I ordered a salad with salmon. We ordered 2 salads which came with our dinners that were brought by someone other than our server. Unfortunately, the sushi I ordered along with my husband's shrimp skewers were not with delivered our order. When our server came to check on us, we let her know that our food was not all there. She acted surprised, but said ok, I will check. She came back to the table 2 more times never mentioning the ETA of our missing food order. After we finished our meals, the shrimp skewers & sushi cone were delivered. No apologies were made. We were not offered refills on drinks ever, but asked for them. The food was good, but over-priced. The food may have tasted better, but the poor service overshadowed any quality of food I may have noticed! For these prices, I suggest you hire professional servers that know what they are doing instead of cute young girls that look good in the tiny black dresses that your staff wears. Joey's has a great atmosphere and is trendy. This is the kind of restaurant that I could see myself becoming a regular guest. The wine list was amazing! There were 3 of my top all-time favorite wines. I was a server for many years and most of my family is in the restaurant business, so I have a lot of compassion for people in the industry, but our server definitely did not take her job seriously or was just severely under trained to do her job efficiently. Joey's has the potential to be a really great place so I hope that my experience was just a one-time occurrence or an off night. I realize that does happen from time to time.

We frequent Joey's fairly regularly, but today was awesome! Our drinks were tasty and our appetizer was great. Our server, Julia, was the best. Love the food and the atmosphere here at Joey's!! My absolute favorite thing to order is the Ahi Tuna salad! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I've been there both for lunch and dinner and they have never failed to deliver. The menu is anlittle pricey but they make up for it in flavor and presentation. The chefs are top knotch, the wait staff is always on top of it, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is electrifying!

Ok - I can't believe I'm giving this place 4 stars - but here it goes. If you are ever in need of a place to kill time before heading to the airport - I would actuallly recommend this place. Was here late last night trying to find a bite to eat round 10p and nothing decent was open - except Joey's (Kitchen closes at 1a). Had the Ahi Tacos & Caesar salad and nice glass of wine, hubby and friend had the Roast Chicken and it was really good! The set up was quite nice, we sat outside and on a cool Seattle eve, it was definitely a nice experience - I almost forgot that I was at Southcenter!. Can imagine this place being the new "it" joint of the southend on the weekends, very cool and laid back for a Monday night. So again, if you need a place to kill time before Seatac i'd check it out. I've been to both Lake Union and Bellevue and think that Southcenter has the best set up.

I came here on my 21st birthday with some friends for lunch. It's a nice looking place, and the service was pretty good since it was a weekday lunch and there weren't too many people there. I think everyone else's food was OK, but my Ahi Tuna Club was INCREDIBLE and I can't stop thinking about it. To top it off, the waitresses took care of my drink since it was my birthday :) so nice of them! It was a lovely visit, looking forward to go back for more Ahi Tuna nom nom nom

Wow- I've never felt so judged at a restaurant ever before! I agreed to meet a friend here for drinks and wedding planning. I arrived on a sunny afternoon, walked in and immediately turned to the bar. They had the wall(?) side part open extending to outside. I asked the host if this was part of the bar and if I could sit there. She said yes so I wondered out there to pick a table. She literally chased me down and changed her answer telling me I could not actually sit there it was being reserved. Everyone began staring so I quickly walked inside where ANOTHER host chased me down to inform me I had to be 21 to sit there. I answered quickly that yes I am 25 and know that is is the bar. Instead of apologizing she just turned and walked away. I sat at a two person table and after 10 minutes I was finally approached. I ordered a drink and before it came had another friend call and decide to join us. When my server walked up I informed her I was going to move to a table suited for 3 people she said ok. I pointed to where I was going and moved. Sitting at a 4 person table by myself has never been so uncomfortable. All the staff was looking at me irritated. I watched another girl (one who didn't take my order) walk all over the bar with my drink until she found me where she said "Oh is this yours?" I tried to joke and say yeah sorry I moved and she just snottily replied "yeah I noticed". She set down my melted frozen drink and walked away. At this point I would have done ANYTHING to make my friends show up. I considered leaving when finally a different waitress approached me asking if I was going to order food. (No hello, how are you, anything) As soon as I mentioned there would be 3 of us her attitude changed from irritated to slightly less irritated but not friendly by any means. The rest of the meal consisted of a lot of waiting. Everything took a really long time and the wait staff seemed much more interested in the men at the bar rail. Needless to say this was a crappy crappy experience. The only reason they got a 2nd star is because the food they served was good.

I've been to the Lake Union location couple of years ago and although I love the decor, I wasn't impressed with the food. And the rumor that Joeys only hire hot looking waitresses was obviously not true for that location. However, it seems there's some truth to that rumor for this Tukwila location. Joeys is a chain based in Vancouver, B.C. and it is trendy and somewhat upscale. Although there aren't any written dress code, customers are well dressed, so I don't recommend showing up in sleeveless T-shirts and stained jeans, unless you're a douche bag. Joeys is great for dates and small groups (less than 6 adults), but probably not family with small children. The dishes aren't spectacular, but they're plated in a trendy way, and the fusion dishes are certainly interesting. Also, each entrée is a little small, and there's no free bread with the entrée, so you should consider adding appetizers and/or sides (they call it "accessories" on the menu) to your order. There's no direct access from inside the mall, so you have to exit the mall and then enter the restaurant thru their front door. Initially I wasn't sure if I was going into the right place since there weren't any logos or signs on the glass front door; it made me feel retarded.

I took my family there for my brother's birthday, they gave us the nice table in the restaurant by the wine wall however his birthday was never acknowledged beyond that. After the first round of drinks took more than 10 minutes to arrive we were just trying to be nice smiley and patient as we're not typically the kind to go out and immediately start complaining even though it was 5pm on a Sunday and the place was dead. Then the service just became laughable, then pathetic. The waitress was clearly either never trained or her head was somewhere else completely. Table of 6, the food came out at different times and the food runner had no idea who ordered which plate. We had to ask for water 3 times. We had to ask for silverware and napkins and ketchup. They were out of wine we ordered, once she came to the table with wine in a decanter but no glass, yet another trip. The food was so so, $177 AFTER they took off the soup, salad and bread meal as the bread arrived long after the soup and salad were consumed. The goyza and spicey salmon rolls were probably the best thing on the table. Somekind of manager tried to make things right and we appreciate that but then the original server came back to clear the table and take care of the check, no apologies, no talking, no thank you, no nothing. No training I guess. We have eaten here in the bar twice before and it's been "fine", not great but fine. All 6 of us agree, we will not be trying the restaurant again.

Their Fish Tacos are the best I've had, so far. Love the atmosphere and the people there, employees or patrons are always friendly. HH prices, not so HH prices but the drinks are great. The have a great selection on mixed drinks from your Dirty Martinis to Cranberry Vodkas to the Mojitos. Beer, well whatever you like they have from domestic to imported. Waitresses are great, they keep an eye on your table to see if anything else is needed and always comes at the right time for you to order more food or drinks. If you go on a game night, depends on who's playing or what not, it's a blast to be there. There are 3 locations, Southcenter, Lake Union and Bellevue and been to all 3 and you can't go wrong with either one.

My wife and I stopped by here for our anniversary and it was ok. It is very spacious and located to all the shopping amenities that you could ask for in one location. Heck, it's Southcenter. We ended up sitting on the couches which was good and comfy. The place has plenty of TV's. What I gathered from this place is that it makes for a good meat market for single people. I have another term for it but this is G-rated. I'm not sure if another reviewer's racial tinted comment makes any sense because I read his comment before we visited here and that observation never came to mind. But yes, there is plenty of eye candy here. Being there on Monday, it was happy hour all day. My wife had the Bellini which was delish and I had two Bud drafts. We enjoyed the nachos even though there are quite a bit of appetizers to choose from. My wife had a burger to which she said was good and I had the BBQ baby backs which was ok. Both of our meals are served with their what-I-call their microfries which are strawlike fries. I wasn't sure how to eat those because normally you can grab one fry at a time because it fits securely in between your fingers. But, these were very thin so grabbing "several" seemed like the proper etiquette. I must have looked like a fumbling fool stuffing my mouth with these things. Anyways, the microfries were good. Now what leaves this as three stars instead of four is the service. It was ok. I'm not sure if the criteria for a server is just boobs which I didn't mind (SLAP,sorry honey) but I assume there are other skills required as well. But as for happy hour, appetizers, being single, and nice eye candy, this place is fine.

First Yelp review. I love food and eating out and this place was such a disappointment, especially given the prices. I ordered the Souvlaki, which is basically a pita with seasoned grilled chicken (that still had the skin on it - ick!), lettuce and tomato, hummus and tzatziki. Nothing to write home about. I was especially annoyed that they charge $12 for it, when I could totally make this at home for about $2. If you're looking for a good pita, go to the Pita Pit! Bottom line: the food here is definitely not worth what they charge. I like restaurants that have good food at a reasonable price. I'm even willing to pay more for something special, but Joey's doesn't have it. Save your money people!

The food was still pretty good, but we waited close to half an hour before our entrees came out which to me was a shame! I had the soup and salad and my girlfriend had the rotisserie chicken, I can't imagine that tossing some salad w/ canned mushroom soup taking more than 10 minutes; the chicken was very seasoned with spices which tasted pretty good not too dry and rather moist/oily. Overall still not bad and the waitress did come by and informed us about a possible delay in food, but I probably won't return for their lunch rush.

Visited with some friends late night since it was one of the only things open later. The restaurant is beautiful inside, great drinks, and great food, but being in the service industry for so long myself, I can honestly say that they degrade themselves by giving the service that they do. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly, although most of the time she was behind a glass partition with the computers nibbling on some food and sipping some water. She only appeared at our table 3 times or so. We had ordered some drinks and some appetizers, all which arrived individually rather than together. Drinks were identical, yet dropped off one at a time, and the appetizers were two of the same thing... so how can one be dropped off 10 minutes after the other? No check back to see how things were tasting until drinks and plates were empty. We continued to drink, but no more food. I also noticed that another girl (manager, maybe?) was sitting at the bar with a drink (what it was, I do not know), but she did keep getting up to go behind the bar and help other servers on the computer, then sit back at the bar with her drink. She looked younger than everyone else in the bar and was having trouble walking in her heels (maybe due to the fact that she was extremely tiny) and her hair was teased to the point where it was the largest part on her body and I wouldn't be surprised if one of those hairs had ended up in my food, had she been the one to drop the appetizers off. I can admit that I will probably go back, but only for food. I will only sit at the bar, and only go in at times when the restaurant is slower, to ensure I receive adequate service. The food and drinks are what keep me coming back. What really sucks, is that at one point, I was hired at this restaurant. After having my orientation switched 3 times (finding out as I drove 20 minutes out of my way, and arrived at the location before they informed me of the change rather than calling) and the hostess/manager being a snobby priss each and every time (I think it may have been the girl with the hair), I just decided to not call THEM back to inform them of my decision to have my plans change as well. Being from Canada myself, this Canadian chain needs to get back in line with the Canadian version of this store, as far as attitudes and service are concerned.

Hottest women I have seen in a long time. Great bright white interior for a bar. I go midday usually. I'm never disappointed. I now have a great appreciation for smashed avocados, drinks, witty menus, hot women and fire places. Make the trek check out the scene also best women's bathroom in the Seattle area. OK and the food is not to die for but whatever at this point it's about the fact that I can watch ESPN and stare at people awkwardly.

This place is definitely nice for the scenery and the ambiance. If you are going there for the happy hour or for lunch or even for dinner you will experience some good food and some awesome personality by the staff. Not necessarily the best service as far as how quick they are, but they are always bubbly and fun

I wish I would've had a better experience here but sadly, that wasn't the case. I would have given them a 3 star rating but the service was THAT BAD! My friends and I came here for a late night dinner and it was all of our first times. We walked in and the atmosphere was definitely what I expected - upbeat and... nice. However, our waitress was a bit stuck up. She took forever to take our orders, only asked us how we were doing ONCE (and it's not like they were busy), spent majority of the time flirting with some man at the bar, and took 10 years to give us our checks back. Oh, and not to mention she never came to give me a refill on my coke the entire time when I asked for one. It really seemed like all the waitresses here threw themselves at all the men who were there - and we, being the only group of girls in the restaurant at the time, weren't even given the time of day. Anyways, I had the Nachos grande which was pretty good. I really liked the tomato salsa that was in it. The Blue Cheese Fries were good but really oily and I was a bit disappointed with the amount of blue cheese they actually put on the fries. Even though I didn't have the best experience here, I wouldn't mind going back just to try their other dishes.

Amy: I've been here previously for dinner and I have to say, not that great. But the upside, drinks are very good. Love their nightly specials. Michael and I had our first date here and it was a great first meeting place. Hope he didn't catch that I was flirting with the cute bartender! :) Anyways, he was very personable and made great drinks. We came back for our third date and he recognized us! I work in the hospitality industry and remembering your guests is a HUGE deal. I would definitely go back for more drinks just to chat it up with the (VERY) cute bartender. Michael: .....wait...what?

One day I was at the mall and approached by a Joey's manager offering me a job. Apparently they hire all "visible" employees based off of looks only. How tacky! Maybe they should of opened a night club or escort service instead. Anyways, I ate here once before this ever happened and the food wasn't anything special. I really didn't like the snobby vibe and how overpriced this place is. Perfect spot for men who want some eye candy but can't go to the strip joint since they are with their wives/ girlfriends. LoL. PS. I'm a woman who likes to be valued for more then just my looks and would never be interested in employment here.

Stopped by here before the heading to the airport. It was good too. The decor was awesome chic and fancy but comfortable. The service was good and fairly quick. I had chicken soulvaki which was the perfect combination of Greek flavors. My sister had a Steak Dip the steak fell apart perfectly and the au jus was perfection and my brother in law had a small cut of steak that was actually cooked to perfections. With each of our meals cam the best shoestring fries, all crispy and delicious, just the way a fry should be. This is a great place to go, I'd love to try everything on the menu!

Stopped in tonight after walking out of Duke's due to their menu limitations. (They only offer ONE kind of bread, so, if you don't happen to be a sourdough fan you either have to go Atkins or go elsewhere...) We chose the latter and were glad we did. We were greeted immediately by the VERY friendly hostess. (I would go broke on the serious drugs I would have to do to maintain her level of peppiness. BUT, I appreciate it as a quality in others.) A quick glance of their menu showed their prices were comparable to (and, in some cases, better than) Duke's and their menu looked interesting so we decided to give it ago. We were seated in a very comfortable and very quiet main restaurant area (as opposed to the lounge). We appreciated the decor; it was an interesting combination of cinder blocks and really funky lights. I had the grilled ahi club. The tuna was good, but the red pepper relish that topped it off was damn near heavenly. It was accompanied by a very generous portion of french fries. Mr H had the fish and chips which he reported to very yum He especially liked the accompanying tartar sauce. The entire thing disappeared mighty quickly. Our only complaint was, once we'd been brought our check, we sat there for close to twenty minutes before our waitress came back to collect. More inconveniencing than anything since we did not have anywhere we HAD to be, but it was an unfortunate end to an otherwise very pleasant experience. Still, if we're back down at Southcenter and hungry, I could definitely see stopping in here again.

Could not believe this place existed in Tukwilla. Found myself in the area for work, so we decided to go to Joey's. Wow! The Ahi Tuna club was incredible. It is the perfect blend of flavors and textures. Mouth-watering make a trip to Tukwilla good. The fries were....fries. Nothing special, but the sandwich made up for it. I feel this place would be a bit "sceney", which I am not a fan of.

READ THIS FIRST: Ahi Tuna Tacos. Beyond that you can skip the rest but know it's positive as well. I've tried other food there as well (only in conjunction with Ahi Tuna Tacos) and it was good. The decor is alright, I've never had to wait long, and I don't know where they import the girls from but they're not from Tukwila. Overall good food, good atmosphere, decent value. A little d-baggy but you get over it. Cool bathroom too.

I came here on two different occasion, one was for dinner, another was drink and appitizers. Both time...the service could have been better...I would say, however, it's not terribly bad, the waitress wasn't rude or anything...so about average....... however, the food, I don't really care for... I had the burger and fries...wasn't very good, also the roasted chicken...that's ok... the nacho was very heavy... overall it was an ok experience, nothing very memorable... =/

Was there with a large group on Saturday night. Drinks took forever and half of them were wrong. Time goes by and our empty glasses weren't loud enough to get any attention from the two waitresses that were assigned to our party. Dinner orders were then taken and the wait ensued. One Caesar salad came out and more waiting. Then about fifteen minutes later two rainbow rolls came out. Finally a second round of drinks were ordered. Couple more rainbow rolls come out and a few steaks. Then eventually some pasta came out. The drinks finally make it out but its only half of them. Those that didn't get their drinks cancel their order. Rainbow rolls were fishy and mealy. The rice was falling off the roll and the texture was awful. After reading so many great reviews in regards to the chef and concept of the restaurant we were excited to try this place but it was so terrible. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere.

Did not know what to expect when we got here, my brother picked this restaurant. We had a difficult time finding it, we used the map provided by this site - wrong exit for sure, we ended up driving around the whole South Center Mall. Did not realize it was actually part of the mall, between BJ's and Dukes. Atmosphere was great, we were in their outdoor seating area. Did not really check out the inside except for the ladies room, which was very nice, clean and private. I hear the men's room was nice also. Our wait person was very sweet, attentive, friendly. There are a lot of employees, we had 4 different people other than our wait person check on our table - a little excessive. Food - I decided on having their crispy, loaded potatoes - very good, unusual. Seasonal vegetables: zucchini, onions, 1 piece of red pepper, 1 slice of tomato and 1 mushroom, tasty but would have liked more than one piece of vegetable. Shrimp skewer - personally I couldn't eat it as it wasn't cooked enough for me, we asked to have it cooked a little bit more, they offered to replace the whole thing, which was very nice of them, but it wasn't any more cooked than the first one. My husband ate it and enjoyed it. My husband enjoyed his mushroom soup, steak and sushi. My sister-in-law enjoyed her salmon and rice, my brother had a steak, but didn't say much about it. Our bill was about $200 for the 4 of us. Probably won't go again, not worth the drive from UP.

Who would've think I would give this place 5 star? LOL, first lets start with parking; there is valet right up front and even with the South Center madness, if you're willing to walk -- you'll be fine! There are nice seating area both in and outdoor. The appetizer were awesome; loving the ahi tuna tacos! Overall a fun and "convenience" area to chill with friends; especially when you went to get away from typical crowd in downtown Bellevue or Seattle!

Meh is right. Okay, so I have to say I think the coolest thing about this place is probably the ladies room. Black and white tile, good lighting, clean. Ridiculously good looking staff, which I'm pretty sure is the primary thing they are famous for. Maybe it's meant to be a distraction from the crappy food? We stopped in for a cocktail to pass the time while my daughter was at a movie with friends. We were seated at the bar and ordered the specials. My friend had their souped up gin and tonic, I had the Hoe Garden. Our choice was based on price, as most of the cocktails were upwards of $8. Come on, this is Southcenter. Another fact to be overlooked while oogling the staff? Drinks were fine. A bit later we opt to check out their Ginger Beef appetizer for 8.99 and their lettuce wraps for 12.99. I was hesitant about the wraps, already expecting that they cannot compete with Chang's. However, I was wooed by the caption on the menu that very convincingly explained how prominent their chef was, so we took the plunge. Ginger Beef - familiar with popcorn shrimp? If there was such a thing as popcorn beef, this would be the closest thing. Tiny morsles drowned in sauce, without a hint of beef, piled on top of some kind of ramen. RAW ramen. Intentional? Mistake? Dunno. Me no likey. The lettuce wraps were less offensive, but I could tell right off the bat we weren't going to be best friends. The filling was chopped to large to actually work with the wrap, and slimy with too much sauce, again. I barely touched it, and sat there sulking, hurrying to finish my beer and make my escape. Had the bartender expressed any interest in our satisfaction, I surely would have provided honest feedback. He did approach to ask if we wanted a second round. I would have thought he may have observed that our food was rejected when we declined and requested our check, but he didn't seem to notice at all. Oh well. Vote with your feet.

I was disappointed with this resturant. I had heard a number of good things from friends about it and was looking forward to trying it out. The service was ok and the waitress was polite but I got the feeling she was new as she seemed rushed though it wasn't very busy. She forgot my drink order and brought me something completely different twice. The food was terrible. I ordered the baja fish taco's and they were not very good.

Great place when your in the the south end. The food is decent and drinks are good. I never ate anything here that I didn't like. I like the bar side of this place the most. There is plenty of seating, plushy couches, nice bar tables, and even outdoor seating on sunny days. You gotta try the blue cheese fries even if your not a fan of blue cheese. Also the scenery sure isn't hard on the eyes either. i wish there were more loungy places like this.

I can't believe this place got a 3.5 stars review. That is ridiculously, they have the most friendly staff. The atmosphere is very laid back and sports like. The food however is so damn good. Tried both of their delicious steaks, but it was a whopping 20-30 dollars, pretty pricey. However their calamari and their secret sauce is the best I've ever had in town. It's sad that they cut down the portion of the plate. Joey will always be the spot for me and my groupies. By the way fellas, all the waitresses are pretty cute, I do miss the gay guy though, he was a funny guy, grabbing napkins for me when I was in my baby back ribs need... sorry ladies.

If you are looking for attractive women and good food...this is the place to go. Anytime I have a business lunch it seems I always end up here. Think of it as an upscale hooters :) They have a nice spread of dishes to choose from. My favorite by far is their fish tacos...they are pretty grubbin Pricing wise, there might be an "attractive waitress" tax added to the dishes, but I feel like I get what I pay for. Every time I go it seems like the bar/lounge is always more full. They have very comfortable seating and overall a good atmosphere. I've also been to the other locations in the area and think this is the best one out of the three.

Excellent service! Had my 30th birthday party in Joey's Southcenter and everyone was a delight to deal with. From their waitresses who remembered me and my girlfriends the next time we went after my birthday, to one of their managers (Jordan, was it?) who gave me a free drink and helped us with our photo ops. Awesome! Thank you so much! My personal favorite is their Ahi Tuna Tacos! Will sure be back for some more!

I was taken here right after my flight touched down at 11pm on a Wednesday. The waitstaff was putting away some of the outside furniture, but we were welcomed and told to sit wherever we felt comfortable. We sat in the corner, close to an entry way to the outside patio. This place is a perfect spot for a late dinner, or even a drink after a long day of shopping. We ordered the pot stickers and they hit the spot. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The first time I visited, my girlfriend and I just had drinks and dessert. I loved the set-up where there were couches with tables in the back, tables in the center and then the bar with t.v.'s. The drinks were eye-pleasing, tasty, and pricey (but expected). The dessert was delicious! The second visit I took Joey's for a full-blown test drive; down from the appetizer to the coffee after dessert. Everything was great besides the fact my filet mignon wasn't cooked right, so I had to wait for them to make another one (not a biggie). The waitresses both times were sweet and busy enough to not bother you every 10 minutes, but attentive enough where you didn't feel ignored.

A great place to eat after shopping. I've been to joeys a hand full of times now and I must say I enjoyed the food and service very much. Also don't be intimidated by the look of the place it's pretty much a slight upper class apple bees with better looking waiters. The food is pretty good I really love the calamari. But some times the food does take a bit longer then it should to come out. But despite I think this will always be my go to spot at south center.

My sister raved about their ahi tuna tacos so we decided to have lunch here and take a break from our shopping. I would give the ahi tuna tacos 3 1/2 stars, it's the service I have a problem with. I should say, the service from our waitress as the hostesses were friendly and opened the doors for us. Our waitress didn't even greet us with a hi or hello, just a "can I see your ID." Don't even expect to get more than a 10% tip from me if you're going to act like that from the start then not fill empty water glasses, too. Seriously? It wasn't even busy. I'll give the other locations my business as they have better service than this one.

The south end has been waiting for a place like this. Slick lounge/bar area which is setup like spots in Belltown. I am definitely a fan. Food is good. I especially enjoy the ahi tuna tacos. Waitresses are obviously attractive (mostly). The vibe is really cool. If you're in the area and looking for a place to hang out or meet up friends for drinks/food, definitely consider Joeys. I haven't been to the other locations around town but I've heard good things about them too...can't be too different considering its a chain.

So went here the other day with a friend. First thing that you'll notice is that all the waitress look like they belong to a prom night. Not that it's bad, but makes other people who under-dress uncomfortable. So the big question is..how is the food? I looked at the menu to find that....it's pretty limited. But something kept my eye towards the salad called " Evil Jungle Salad." Normally I would not pay over 10 dollars for a salad (I think salad in general are way over priced) but this one seemed exciting. My friend took the easy route and ordered Better Beef Dip. When our food came out, I took the first bite to find out that...this salad is what it is, jungle food. It's just bunch of veggies chopped up, sliced, diced, with real mint leaf, thai noodles, on a ginger lime dressing. To be perfectly honest, I so can make this with my home ingredients, maybe better cause I am Asian and own better noodles. =) But over all, it wasn't that good. And after reading what others had to say, I would agree with them that food is decent, and pricey...the hostess and servers look like they actually belong at a club, but I want GOOD FOOD to go with that.

Ended up at Joey's for my birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The Szechwan edamame and chicken lettuce wraps were delicious. I had the ahi salad which was amazing and my husband had the steak and sushi. The steak had good flavor, the sushi was ok (hence the 4 stars, but we are a bit of snobs when it comes to sushi). I was impressed they got my drink right, belvedere and water with muddled lime. Sounds easy enough but you'd be surprised how many times bartenders forget to muddle the lime. It was pricey but worth it. We'll be back.

I still don't see why my friends love this place. Been here twice and its alright. We usually sit at the bar for quicker service yet the servers are still slow. I've sampled many items from the menu by trying each of my friends dishes. Average. Food is comparable to Applebees. I did love the chocolate lava cake. The cook accidentally burnt my first one so I had to wait a very long time for my dessert. But the server did take the cake off the check. =)

Decided to take the advice of others about the Baja Fish Tacos -- good choice. My friend had the Ahi Tuna Tacos, another the Ahi Tuna Club--both really enjoyed them. Drinks were strong this time, not watered down like usual, and service was quick, friendly and very accommodating for a party of 12. It's hit or miss with Joey's at Southcenter, just read the reviews and don't have too high expectations. Just enjoy your company and the ambiance.

Well, what started as a great evening and progressed into less than when a tray of drinks was dumped on me was saved by the fantastic manager Jordan Burns. He just called me to apologize, offer to pay for my dry cleaning, and is going to treat my friends and I to a meal on the house to apologize. Not many places would do that.

This place just gets worse and worse. I love the Lake Union Joey, it has exceptional service but Joey Southcenter is absolutely horrible! I've been slowly decreasing my visits to both since the menu has been tweaked but the happy hour drinks are just too tempting to prevent me from completely escaping the place. Anyway, Joey in Southcenter really needs to retrain their servers, they have no idea what customer service is. My last visit there has been almost a month now and I'm still experiencing a problem with a bill that hasn't been settled, not worth it at all! I'm so happy I did not tip, their service sucks and their food is average, I've found many places to get better drinks so I'm 100% sure I will not be returning to Joey, especially @Southcenter..

Went here for a few drinks with the wifey sunday night and it was average to us. We are both bartenders and went to sit at the bar which needed to be wiped down and still had glassware from other customers yet they didnt seem to be too busy. Not a big deal really. They have nice decor and the bartender made me a good Makers Manhatten. I would enjoy the place more if they focused on service more than the looks of their staff, however I see why the "glorified barista girl turned bartender/server" appeals to many. Didnt have anything to eat so I cant speak to that. Would go back again though.

I was never really tempted to try Joey's (or is it just referred to as "Joey" now?). I'd looked at the menu before and it seemed like a small selection. My cousin was in town so my brother and I decided to take him somewhere new so we went to Joey's. The menu seemed larger than I recalled, there were a lot of things to choose from and the prices weren't too bad. I've always liked the decor and the atmosphere - it's modern and simplistic, kind of reminiscent of Vegas. We sat in the bar and it was pretty busy but the service we received was decent. I ordered a strawberry Joey Burst and really liked it - it was fizzy and not too sweet. For food, I ordered the Killer Ahi Tuna Tacos and OH MY GOD, they were sooooooooo good. The shells were crunchy and the coleslaw was refreshing. The tuna was perfect and the dipping sauce was really good too. It was just the right serving size, I ate everything and didn't feel like I was about to throw up. I also tried the Blue Cheese Fries (minus the blue cheese) and they were pretty tasty too. I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed what they ordered and I'd definitely come back just for the Killer Ahi Tuna Tacos.

i had the bleu cheese fries, cheeseburger sliders -- always a great start. main course was the hi-rise burger... not bad. atmosphere is good -- but really, if you're a male, you come here for the female servers. a - m - aaaaaaaaaaa zing.... well, most of the time at least. been here a handful of times (lake union mostly) and always good food and great looking servers.

This place is great! Drinks are good but expensive! Food is good as well as the hibachi chicken is BOMB! I noticed the whole JOEY's staff are good looking people and are pretty chill. My only dislike of this place is that they should have a R.S.V.P for the big party table. That's all!

  • Kathy W.

Apparently, this chain (Lake Union, Bellevue, and Tukwila) does not accommodate groups of 10 or more very well. At the Tukwila location, when I called to ask for reservations, I was told they don't take any, but to go a half hour early to get a table in their "private dining room", so I did, only to find out that they won't seat you until 80% of the party has arrived. When we were ready to be seated, the only large table in the private area was already taken and it was then a 2 hour wait. They don't take reservations OR put your name on the waiting list. All of their tables are bolted down to the floor so you can't move them together. While we were waiting in the lounge, we asked for more chairs to be moved over and was told we couldn't. The patio area was not open at all so we couldn't sit there either.

  • Chas S.

Same Joey's style and atmosphere as their others in the chain. It's good to know I can go to any of their locations in Canada or WA and get the same great Ahi Tacos and Baja Fish Tacos I love. Outdoor seating perfect for lunch.

My bestfriend and I always meet in southcenter when we have dinner because its pretty in between tacoma and seattle, usually we opt for the cheesecake factory, maybe even dukes but this time we went to joeys. and i couldnt have been more satisfied!! we sat in the bar because the thought of sitting next to the fireplace sounded pleasant on a 40degree fall day and it was!! The bar is HUGE and there is tons of seating, it was kind of a cramped maze when we were leaving , but its because there were people sitting at the tall tables with their chairs pushed back a little far. anyways-- the hostess as well as the server were super sweet and like everyone else has commented, just about all the girls there are pretty! a girl might get jealous if she went there on a date if their man had wandering eyes!! the only thing i have to say bad about the server is we weren't checked on until we had a couple bites of our food left--we didnt need anything but a refill on my lemonade wouldve been nice sooner than when i was ready to order dessert. but in all fairness, we were in the bar. im sure if we were sitting in the regular dining area the drink would not have been an issue. onto the best part- the food!! this is why this place gets 5 stars from me! it was the best dinner i had had in such a long time! and i eat out at restaurants FREQUENTLY. i ordered the steak and frites with greens on the side and it was amazing. ive never had a steak fully well done and still be sooo tender. there was NO PINK and it was not dry one bit, they have skinny fries which i love and they really hit it right on! even the greens with a sole slice of tomatoe beneath it wasnt left on my plate thats how wonderful the meal was as a whole. my friend got the tuna sandwhich with fries and she loved it as well!! to top it off, for dessert we shared the individual apple pie--which was more than big enough to share! and topped with vanilla (or maple) ice cream and caramel. it was more like an apple crisp, which made it more delicious!! the ambiance is over the top but not in a bad way. i cant wait to go back again, and i will, very soon!!!

Joeys is absolutely amazing for a girl's night. A bit pricey, but the food is so bomb. The Seafood Sicilian Pesto Linguine is absolutely delicious, with a side of Gorgonzola bread. Goodness, the Gorgonzola bread is humongous, but so tasty. The baked apple pie is so also amazing. The waitresses and hostess are super nice, but the only downside is that the food takes FOREVER-ish. But other than that, I'd recommend this place any day :)

Not over-impressed with this new restaurant. Over priced for the Southcenter market. Kindof a mixed message with "sports-type TVs and $20 a glass of fine wine. The load RAP music was not condusive to a romantic lunch. And the $52 lunch bill for soup n salad and my wife's entree and two glass es of over-priced wine was not very understanding of the current market down-turn. We won't be going back - good luck I give these guys less than a year in Southcenter (maybe north Mercer Island would be more understanding)

  • Richard C.

Different (likeable the lounge setting) from other casual dining at South Center - good assortment on the menu & real cocktail, good service. But not sure about the black ceiling lamp shades hanging over at the dining table section; suggest those ceiling lights from the private banquet. Must have any of their three desserts before totalling your check.

If you're a guy who looks like Rob Dydrek this is a good place to hang out. If you're a hot retarded girl this is a place to get a job. All kidding aside Joey's has a really cool ultra modern interior. Far too hip for Southcenter mall. The food was alright, but wow. I mean wow, the girl that was our server was dumb. We were literally telling her what was on the menu. The clientele was a lot of Trixies and the douche bag guys that are bred to hit on them. Did I mention the interior was cool?

  • Megan L.

I thought it odd to dine at the mall, but would I do it again? YES! I had the full rack baby back ribs and they were delicious. My party and I couldn't believe the price, it was only $20 something for a full rack! The decor is beautiful. Even if you don't have to go to the bathroom, take a stroll in there for a quick look. I would've given Joey's five stars but we were continually denied access to the bar. While waiting for our table, we wanted to get a few drinks, but they said they reached maximum capacity at the bar, but it looked very spacious to me! After dinner, we wanted to get drinks at the wine bar, but they said they were closing that area. We tried the bar again, but they still didn't want to let us in even though it looked very spacious to me!

I've been here 2x, both times were just to grab a drink with friends. Each time I was in there the servers appeared irritated that we had bothered to come in. I ordered a lemon drop that came out pink and the server was arguing with me that it was in fact a lemondrop. It tasted more like a cosmo to me. It's a good place for guys to look at pretty girls and girls can definetly get some good drinks. It's not a bad place to go but they should be happy they have customers to serve.

  • Frankie G.

Greatly disappointed. The main diningroom was nearly empty, yet our waitperson behaved as though she was juggling several tables; in fact, we had 3 different people attend to our table, but all of them seemed distracted. I got the impression that our table was an 'after thought' which is probably the rub, since I'm use to, and appreciate customer-focused service.

Went after work expecting average food and decent atmosphere. While the atmosphere was as expected, the food is what made this place stand out. I had the ahi tacos and bleu cheese fries. The fries were the lightest, most unique things I'd tasted in a long time and the ahi tacos were outstanding. I will definitely go back to eat a full dinner here.

Stopped into Joey's with a friend for a bite to eat. He was taking me to the airport, and I figured this would be a good place to try out before my flight. Very well taken care of at the bar! Ann and Ashley were very friendly and had excellent customer service! You don't really find that in many bartenders around the area. Our meal was delayed by quite a bit. After asking what was up, the chef for the night brought us out our food. He chatted with us for a bit and let us know that the food was taken care of for the evening! Try the Southwest chicken dinner! Worth it! Will definitely try Joey's again if I have time before another airport visit!

We had to have a family lunch outing and we picked Joeys because of the location. I don't normal eat at chain restaurants. Us ladies went to the powder room and on my return the very young, tightly clothed, booby waitress was chatting up my hubby and father in-law. She was lean on my chair holding a pitcher of water completely oblivious to the fact I was standing behind her waiting for her to move. Once she finally realized I was there she still didn't move and barely acknowledged me. When I finally asked her if she could move so I could sit down she did, but in the process spilt water on to my coat. NICE! She asked me if I wanted a drink and I asked her if they had a menu. She said yes, we have a special girly drink menu. I said no, I don't drink hard alcohol only beer and wine. She then said, how about a shot? I repeat, I don't drink hard alcohol. she then offers me a Martini, and I again, I said, I don't drink ANY hard alcohol. I gave up and order mineral water. When she brought the food she has three entries, two in each hand and mine on her arm snuggled up against her boobs, which were actually in my salad along with her HAIR! SERIOUSLY!!! My salad was fine nothing to go back for. There were more issues with the dizzy waitress but this review would be two pages long! To make a long store short, "IF" you want to look at hot young thinks, which I have no problem with, then Joeys is the place. The bar was full of men and the dining area was all most empty. I just think the waitress shouldn't have ignored the women at the table.

I have gone to Joey's [Southcenter location] numerous times over the past year, always satisfied with the food. I have gone mainly for business lunches [sit in the bar area] and seem to order the same thing every time [when you find a great dish you tend to stay with it]. I order the Spicy Salmon Roll...just fantastic! [Note: sometimes this is on the menu and sometimes its not, but I get it every time I ask for it.] Not too spicy but there is enough there let your taste buds know. Friends have ordered the Baja fish tacos and been very pleased. On occasion I order the Seafood Sicilian Pesto Linguine...you better enjoy a strong pesto with this one will light you up! I do and the portion is generous with this dish. The service is "hit and miss"; all the waitresses are very attractive ladies with attire that complements their figures. Very friendly service and well suited for the business man lunch environment. Guys, if you plan on bringing a date to Joey's you better have good control over your casual glances or have a girlfriend that is not bothered by that. When asked to go out for a business lunch; Joey's is always my first suggestion.

when i first heard about joeys at southcenter....it felt weird. i mean its SOUTHCENTER! but after going twice i have to say i am a fan, its a nice central place to go after work if i dont want to go to seattle, or want to go to like an applebees. the decor of this location is far better than bell or lake union. i love the lounge area, with the large sofas....keep in mind when going that this is at the mall, and there are families that go there.....dont be shocked to find kids running around. stay in the bar area to avoid that....

This place is pretty overrated, or maybe it's the convenient place that has a nice atmosphere. Their food is sub-par for the prices, everything looks great but doesn't taste great. The appetizers are mostly pretty good compared to the entrees actually. They seem to do well when I order fish. But stay away from their meat, it's really low quality beef. The few times I've been here I can already tell the waitresses are incredibly biased. If you don't look like you're going to spend money - don't expect great service. Good place to watch some sports or wait for someone while they're shopping. But I don't think I'll be going here for dinner again anytime soon.

  • Jenika M.

I normally love the food every single time I come, but with the service it's always a 50/50 chance of getting crappy service. A server today totally ignored the fact that I was on a time limit and made me late for work. I told her specifically that I had to get my food first and leave at a certain time and she literally gave me my food last and on top of that got me my food 5 minutes before I had to start work. Also, the salad I got had a hair in it... Since the prices are pretty pricey I expected my salad to be a little better in taste and quality. In addition to this complaint, I want to know WHY should I pay a required 18% for gratuity if her service overall sucked? Sorry but not sorry for the bitchy review.

  • Gorman E.

My favorite Joey's period. Why? The main reason is the service of Marlene so ask for her table at all times. She has the best friendly service that will warm or melt you away with her smile plus making sure your experience here is 100% guaranteed happy. We celebrated countless birthdays here or just grabbing dinner and drinks with the guys when we are in the area. I like sitting on the outdoor patio especially on sunny days. I recommend the 12oz New York Steak with garlic mash potatoes in a lumpia with peppercorn sauce. It might not be on the menu anymore, but I always ask for it and it is so worth it. All the bacon bits on top of the lumpia garlic mash potatoes is the best side dish ever. Dipping each bit of the perfect cook medium rare steak in the peppercorn sauce is an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Foodgasm. For drinks, I usually get the lemonade slush with an extra shot of Grey Goose. Yum-O and will give you a nice buzz with not tasting any alcohol. Great on sunny days. The prices on food items and drinks are little overpriced ( minus one star) but if you follow my recommendations than you will have a 100% good time! Also, want to mention the most beautiful staff of all the Joey's, too!

This place has such a great bar! When it's nice outside all the windows open up and let in a nice breeze... And SUN! Don't forget it's at a mall so the view is at the joeys on lake union. The management is outstanding. ECLH every customer leaves happy is the best motto ever. Fav's on the menu- super stoked vodka coke Mahi tacos Calamari Actually you can't go wrong. Love Love Love

I felt the staff was judgemental, inept and couldn't care less about the guests. Joey restaurent should hire people with better work experience. Food is over priced for the taste and overall experience. I would recommend going to cheesecake factory (anywhere) for better food and better service.

  • Natasha J.

Great local place to grab some drinks with friends. It's classy, but not stuck up. My only gripe is the amount of inconsistency. They constantly change their menus, their staff and their drink list. So if your hooked onto something, don't be. Their blue cheese fries were a hands down winner for me. And I would come here every Sunday night for fries and a mojito. But nope - dreams were dashed. Please keep your fan favorites here. Consistency is a good thing.

I've been here many times. It's a great place to come and have some drinks with the guys. I will defiantly never sit in the "family" side of the restaurant again, the prices are fairly steep and it's not for the food, that is for sure. Bar side of JOEY's is what you're paying for. Some unique cocktails, okay beer selection but STUNNING waitresses. You do for sure get the feeling you're not the preferred clientele if you're not in a suit and tie on a business lunch. I've tried it, completely different experience! This location also pales in comparison to their sister location in Bellevue or lake union for that matter in service, food quality and overall environment. The decor of the place is very modern. I like hanging out by the fire place and drinking down a super nova. Delicious by the way. The ahi tacos and nachos are my appetizer recommendations. I have to say the steak and prawns were not worth the price. Everything was under seasoned except the mashed potatoes. I would recommend sticking to one of their sandwiches.

My wife and I were in town for a conference and after doing some shopping we decided to stop in for a drink and a little food. Really nice atmosphere and service, we had the calamari, sushi roll, and gyoza. Drink selection was nice, couldn't complain.

The food is better than the service, but not all that great! I do adore their wings (fried) and their strawberry amf. Other than that it's okay. Prices too high in my opinion, and the service could be a lot better. The waitress can be rude at times.

  • Yen N.

I ordered the salmon. It was like $35 and tiny. It was pretty good, but it wasn't fulfilling. The menu was very limited, and the service wasn't great. If you only look for a place to drink, then try it. I wouldn't recommend otherwise.

We went here for my moms birthday. We had 11 people in our party and I had to sign a contract for the large group which seemed odd but it all worked out great. Service was precessional, and timely. Drinks were all great and after ordering appetizers they were ready to take our next request. We asked for more time and explained we were not in a hurry and it wasn't a problem. No one came back to ask three minutes later like a lot of places who are interested in clearing the table quickly. Drinks were freshened up, we were checked up on a couple of times and once we had finished and the table had been cleaned then they took orders. From my previous experiences and reading the other yelp reviews it appears Joey is placing a lot of emphasis on service. The manager came around three or four times to make sure everything was going well and even took care of a few requests personally. Everyone enjoyed their food. My steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. For a larger group besides the odd contract I would strongly recommend Joey if your looking for something around southcenter.

Update..after 2 managers, several new employees and 3 years later, this place is still a 5 stars establishment. I heard that they may be getting rid of my all time favorite long island slush but that has yet to be seen. I do miss seeing the old employees and managers but changes are good i guess (somewhat)...the new waitresses are still getting acclimated to their job and im a fair guy so ill be patient..but on another note, i really hope they bring back their chili chicken one day.. Overall, after exploring plenty of new lounges and/or date spots, Joey is still my 'go to' place to alleviate a hard weeks work and/or to elevate my pre funkin status before hitting the city to marinate on life...Great job guys!

Coming from out of town and hearing locals ride home about the rather attractive service, I was hesitant to test the quality of food at Joey's. Although they may focus more on the atmosphere and staff aesthetics, the food is good and filling. An average meal, and great for groups.

Came here for lunch after a grueling day of Saturday furniture shopping. Definitely satisfying. The modern atmosphere is cool, seems to attract the 20- to 30-years olds but is versatile for romantic dinners or group hangouts, etc. The outdoor seating was perfect for the hot day and the service was top notch - not too fakey friendly but definitely attentive and accommodating. We had the southwest chicken burger and the ahi tuna salad. Both were scrumptuous. The chicken burger came with some delicious aioli and cute little shoestring fries and was perfectly cooked. The ahi tuna salad had a great presentation and clean flavors. Every bite of that was delicious. Would definitely come back again if I lived nearby, but the one on South Lake Union is quite a bit closer to home.

So yummy! 4.5 stars! great trendy and super clean space! I got a chance to try a lot of the dishes: -crispy mashed potatoes -ahi tuna tacos -bleu cheese fries -ahi tuna club -rotisserie chicken -creamy chicken alfredo -apple pie -molten lava choco souffle Everything was great! except the alfredo was subpar, but that's ok, I don't particularily like alredo to begin with. The bleu cheese fries are something I crave now so great! (I don't even like bleu cheese!) Can't wait to go back to WA and eat here again! ^_^

Bizarrely incompetent service. We had at least 6 waitresses and 1 waiter, and had extraordinarily slow delivery of both drinks and appetizers. Finally addressed by the presumed manager, but once she stepped away, we couldn't get the bill. Food quality was good -- but bartenders/ waitstaff struggled with the basic idea of a vodka gimlet and a manhattan served up.

No a fan of this place at all. Horrible service. The girls that work there are so fake and have offered me a job there two different times while I was dinning there. So strange! Very fake environment and I will probably never go back.

Wow. That's how I describe the experience but not in a good way. 1. My husband and I, along with our baby, came for a birthday party of about 20, showed up 10 minutes early for a 7:30 event time(it was not busy) and the hostess refused to seat us (our "room" was empty) because... we were early? 2. The hostess did, however, suggest that we take a table in the bar. I informed her that bringing a baby into a bar was illegal. 3. Several "waitresses" graced our room with their presence in the first 15 minutes, however, not one of them offered to take drink or appetizer orders, they just kind of milled around, similar to goldfish bumping into the walls of a very small bowl. 4. After 25 minutes (it's now almost 8 pm) I finally flagged down a waitress and begged for something to drink (only a soda, not liquor)and ordered an appetizer, to which she rolled her eyes, but did end up serving us...another 10 minutes later with a drink and 15 for the food. 5. As the "waitress" brings the appetizer in on a scalding hot plate, she proceeds to set it down directly in front of my 11 month old daughter. 6. The next time period was that of ordering and receiving our appetizers and meals, or as I would like to call it..." The Joey Special Olympics". I have never seen this particular level of ignorance and disorganization if my whole eating out lifetime. Seriously. The "waitresses" couldn't even figure out which drink belonged to whom. 7. The food was of the proper temperature and was edible but was comparable to an Ihop or Denny's. Really the only differences between this place and a Denny's is that you could actually get full at Denny's and the waitresses are nice. 8. 9:30 comes and we ask for our bill. At this point, we are just eager to get out of this place. The total of our meal (including the REQUIRED 18%!) came to $88 and some change. I hand the "waitress" $100 and she comes back with $10. Um... is the other $1.50 a special tab paying fee or...? Yes, I am aware that it's only a little over a dollar, but it's the principal that she didn't think I would want ALL of my money back. Especially after paying an 18% gratuity on some of the worst service I have ever received. (Actually in hindsight, it's probably a good thing they charge automatically because these girls would starve if they had to support themselves on EARNED tips.) Wow. So in conclusion: Don't waste your time or money. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

I"ve always stayed away from Joey's because it always seems like a meat market with the trendy decor and the fact that they only seem to hire younger attractive women as servers... I have nothing against that, but I find it tacky. Only reason we came is because it was the only spot open for drinks after a late night movie... the interior, like i said is trendy and we found a spot by the fireplace that was nice. Our servers were polite and the food was decent. I tried their seasonal special which happened to be Pyramid Snowcap - which I thoroughly enjoyed. Decent spot for some late night food and drinks in the Southcenter area.

Warmly greeted and told it's self-seating in the lounge/bar. *quickly notes all of the cute lady staff---who were also very pleasant, and not otherwise* The Hi-Rise Burger was a tasty one, good flavor with monterrey cheese (i almost thought it was mayo, 'cuz I asked for no mayo). Perhaps a bit too many floors high to fit in one bite, but the DDD made it happen without cutting/dissecting the burger. BBQ sauce on the side for it, too (+1 BBQ sauce, -1 ma-yuck-aisse). The substituted yam fries over regular were good with the lemon/mayo(?) aioli. LOTS of stuff on here I did want to try, especially the ahi tuna/fish tacos. The restroom was exceptional in it's design... I just wasn't feeling that giant image above the urinals that showed a forest and photoshopped(?) urinals attached to them. o_O

this was a HH run and that's all that it was. huge bar and some cheesy decor (painted landscaping bricks?). it did have big comfy couches and leather chairs. so, i'll call this a wash. nice landing places to chat with your buds. we liked the jacked up edamame, but the bar food was just okay. drinks weren't pricey and there was plenty of staff floating around that they are known for. in fact, there might have been a bit too much of this. different staff at the table, not knowing what the previous person had done. mixed up drinks and some pettiness amongst the staff about who was doing what. oh well, it all worked out. but attitude abounds!

First time at this restaurant. My daughter ordered the nachos. After one bite she couldn't eat it because it was way too spicy. I tried it and found that the OLIVES were super spicy! Olives, spicy, odd.. Anyway, told the waitress this and her response was "Hmmm, really? That's odd" as if my daughter and I were making it up! Told her to try it. After telling her my daughter won't eat it, she took it back and made another without the spicy black olives. I ordered steak and mushrooms. Way to much pepper in mushrooms! I couldn't eat it! I didn't want to send that one back because I already complained about the spicyness on my daughter's meal. Waitress could be a little more friendly and available! No refills on my daughter's strawberry lemonade. I was charged 2X without being told! Not a good way to experience a new restaurant!

I've been here a couple of times and only because a friend of mine loves it (he thinks the waitresses are hot - and they totally are, but I couldn't care less). Good food - especially their sliders and regular burgers. I also like their sushi. Their food is totally overpriced though. Got a beer and a plate with 8 pieces of sushi and it was almost $20. The food's tasty, but not THAT tasty. It's also difficult to have conversations in the lounge as it does get a bit noisy. There was a table of women sitting next to us on a Friday evening letting loose. They were giddy as hell over something and literally screaming and laughing in my ear. Who does that?? I'd be perfectly content to never visit again.

I almost want to give this joint 5 stars!!!!! The reason I can't is that the place is pretty pricey and with the economy these days, not too many of us can dine out here and still be in the green:( Other than that negative let me get started with all the YAYers of this place:) So I really wasn't expecting much as I have heard from acquaintance about "Joey's," of course I checked out the reviews on Yelp as well. My personal 1st time experience was FANTASTIC!!! I met up my cousin for her birthday dinner/happy hour and she was seated in the bar, which was a nice booth in a great area. The aura of the restaurant was very modern and swanky, a little dark but it was 8pm on a Saturday night... This is were it gets good due to the service our waitress provided. I even kept my receipt just in case, I wanted to give her props for being on it!! Tara B. She made sure that we were all taken care of, checking on us promptly as I was sluffing on ordering and such. My glass never stayed too empty and when I ordered my apps, it seemed like magic and appeared pretty quickly!!! My last drink was kinda skeptic based on what I read and what came out and she made sure I was okay with it and decided to just add a shot of vodka, which she kindly took off my bill!!! ;) Wooo hoooo for Joey's.... oh and the crowd, I was digging it:)

I don't know. I really want to like this place, but my heart just isn't there. I like the atmosphere/decor and their food is actually pretty good, but I think it is overpriced for what you get and the service is pretty awful. I came here with a large party (about 10 people) and we were splitting checks, so I think the waitresses hated us from the beginning which resulted in terrible service...and I am one who will give upwards of a 25% tip if you treat me well (especially if I make you do something potentially annoying like split checks), so I think that is a lame excuse for bad service. For example, unless they were literally venturing to a nearby well to get some water and then boiled the cup of water individually, it should not take 20 minutes to get some hot water for tea. And that was just one example of how painfully slow the service was. Yes, it was a Saturday night, but we were there when the place started to thin out later in the night and that didn't really improve the service at all. The only saving grace of the night was the Chocolate Soufflé, which is always a winning dessert option!

If I could give them a zero I would. After sat down i noticed our seats weren't clean (crumbs everywhere). After find what drinks to have and food to order we waited till the waitress came back... 10 min...15min...25min...30min. NO SERVICE AT ALL!!! NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS THIS HAPPENED. So bad!!! As we were leaving, the night manager asked how our dinner was. Well we never go any food or drinks or service... she then proceeded to follow us out the door pledging for us to come back and eat for a discounted price. We said no thank you...she said that if we ever come back that if we mention her name that we will get a free appetizer. Sure....

Still remains one of my favorite chains. Great food, excellent drinks. But can I just be honest? I'm vain, and this is the hottest group of servers I've ever seen at one restaurant. Whoever is running the casting couch, you have good tastes. :) The visual and culinary feast was nice :)

Joey Southcenter is definitely less douchey than the Bellevue location. Although, I think one of the requirements for working there, has to be that you're good-looking because all of the waitresses were attractive. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner the other night. He ordered the California chicken sandwich and I ordered the Vida salad. His sandwich was pretty good, though the chicken breast was much too small for the bread that it came on. My vida salad was delicious! Fresh salad with roasted chicken (very moist), apples (crunchy), feta (salty), red onions (sweet), avocado (creamy), and a fried tortilla accompaniment. It kept my mouth interested with all the different textures and flavors. To drink, we ordered the Friday drink special: the super stoked vodka coke. He ordered the vanilla while I ordered the cherry. The vanilla was dangerously good - couldn't even taste the alcohol, which is what makes it so dangerous. My cherry tasted kind of like cherry cough syrup and I wasn't a big fan. The service was great, our waitress was attentive, and someone else even came by to check on how things were going. Overall, it made for a good dining experience - except for the beginning, when a tray full of drinks fell and glass shattered at my feet - but I guess I'll forgive them for that.

What's good Tukwila yelpers?! 2 words... 1 location! Joey Southcenter =] AMAZING night at JS! After flying in from LAX... I headed str8 to Joey Southcenter to grab a quick bite to eat before heading to Seattle. A friend of mines brought me here. We had the lettuce wrap and ahi tacos! YUMMM! I'm a fan of both. We sat at the bar... open seating... it was crowded that night (Friday night). private lot with free parking. Located in a huge mall. I would suggest anyone who is either going or coming from the airport to stop by and grab a bite/drink. Great place to come with friends and catch up. Love the decor and ambiance. I miss you Joey Southcenter! xo- Miss Yelp 2010.

The food is good, but I have to say Ariana made my night. She was fun to talk to and was very nice to me and my best friend when we stopped in for a ladies-night dinner and drinks. I hope she knows that she helped change my opinion of this place. I'll be back.

Let me start by saying I really, really, really like their food. Unfortunately, the service is very slow. Sometimes takes a long time in the bar to get any attention. And, Unfortunately it takes forever to get your food. I would give five stars if the service was better. For me service is just as important as good tasting food.

This place is sexy! Love that the lady servers wear skirts!!! Dropped in on a early Saturday afternoon and sat in the bar/lounge area. There was a nice fire going so we sat next to the fire place. Cozy little sofas and big coffee tables made sitting by the fire that much more enjoyable. We ordered the mushroom soup, salad, and lobster ravioli. The mushroom soup was absolutely creamy, delicious and filling. The salad was average, but what else would you expect from a bed of greens. The lobster ravioli was better than I'd expected. The dish was a bit dry and fishy, but once I squeezed the lemon over it, I was in heaven. For a cocktail we had the long island ice tea which came with a frozen lemon cello (I think that's what its called) on top. It was absolutely amazing and quite refreshing. I don't think I would've enjoyed it as much without the little slushy on top. The service is slow, but if you're in the presence of great friends, you probably won't notice because you'll be to busy wishing you were here on a date, rather than hanging out with the girls. Gotta love a restroom that has a full sized mirror that greets you as you walk in. Check yourself out before and after going to the potty. If you enjoy wine, the other side of the restaurant has a beautiful wine display

I am so late on "Joeys". I have walked passed this restaurant countless times and often commented on the chic decor, and just assumed the food was chic and foo-foo, with little/no substance. I was wrong about the "no substance". We started with the hibachi wings that came with a very unique, tasty sauce. The wings were tiny, but packed with flavor. For dinner I had the chicken sandwich and fries, the sandwich was delicious. Though it is common to find slaw on pulled pork sandwiches, it was different (in a good way) to find it on a chicken sandwich - would definitely get this again. My husband got a lettuce wrap burger...it arrived nicely wrapped, but with each bite it became a bigger mess - but that is O.K. because he said it was very good. After dinner hung tight a bit to enjoy the piped in music and the overall ambience of the restaurant. We eventually decided to split a dessert...the apple pie with maple ice cream. It was sinfully good. It really tasted like it was made fresh on-site, with REAL apples (not the can stuff). It was a delightful ending to a perfect meal. The mall was closed so we could not walk off the calories while window shopping - so we walked a long, innovative route to the car. We look forward to our next Joeys visit.

Three stars because while we were there we could clearly see an off duty employee hanging out in the kitchen touching his face and mouth and the food prep spaces. No less stars because of the immediate handling of the situation by the two managers on Duty. Extra props to our server Marion/Miriam (sorry didn't quite catch your name) who handled the situation wonderfully and was super nice the whole meal.

Spent a few days in the Seattle area from Chicago and stumbled upon Joey when looking for a decent place to take the wife, kids, and mother-in-law. Loved it! Great decor, upbeat and stylish atmosphere, superb service and the food was bloody good. The cost was reasonable and certainly justifiable for a great family dinner in a swank place. Course for a red-blooded male ... the Victoria-Secret-esque staff - gorgeous - didn't hurt! It was all good and I'd love to dine here again if ever back in Seattle/Tacoma.

Manager Kelly and waitress Kelly were totally awesome and provided us with great service. We actually ordered our drinks and food but for some reason it took a long time for our meal to come out...tables around us were being served and finished while we were still waiting. Both Kellys took note and come to us apologizing and offered us some soup while they figure out what was going on. They were so sincere and professional. When we got our food it was very very good! I am from out of state and I look forward to going back there with this exceptional service. Thank you Kelly and Kelly for making the experience for my sister, niece and myself such a pleasant one! We will be back!

I enjoy this location. They are often busy but it does have a really good atmosphere to enjoy with friends. I recommend their peppercorn steak or naked chicken wings. The sliders aren't too bad. There is a wide variety of drinks. Overall a good place.

Beautiful people. Great service. But the food is not too great for the price that your paying. This isn't my first time at this place so this review is based off of all of my times here. So overall if your looking for good food this isn't the best place. But come for good service.

Met 3 girlfriends here for Happy Hour after a union meeting. First off their HH is a joke. 3 drink "specials" & 4 food "specials". Service was glacier slow. Had to flag down the server twice. $10 for a normal martini $14 for a premium!! You can buy a whole bottle of vodka for that much! I had the HH sliders & they were decent, but for $6.99 I could have had a much better BIG burger somewhere else. Shoestring fries were tiny. One friend ordered the gorgonzola bread. $5 for a piece of french bread toast with no visible gorgonzola. A very COOL vibe about the place but very UNcool for your tummy & wallet.

I'm going to make this one short and sweet. I went here for dinner with a group and ordered the fettucini alfredo, sans chicken as I'm a vegetarian. They brought it out with chicken on accident and our waitress apologized and of course returned it to the kitchen to be remade. Except not. THEY PICKED THE CHICKEN OUT AND BROUGHT ME BACK THE SAME PLATE. That's really all I need to say.

My last visit here was below dissapointing. BUT!!!!!! I've revisited this Joey's a couple times since then and I must say I'm happily impressed. The service is somewhat slow, so be sure you're not in a rush when you come in. FAVORITES: Sliders & Bleu Cheese Fries Order them......ALWAYS.

Their slogan should read....."Sexy waitresses and horrible small portion food". I went there back on Apr. 9th, 2012. I ordered 8oz. top sirloin for $21.99. It was dry and no flavor at all. I notice they have raised their prices a little since my last visit (online menu indicates $23 as of this writing). The steak knife I was given, the handle area has a crack on it. You would think they would replace with a newer one. After all, they are charging an arm and a leg for their food; and just enough to keep you full for half hour after you take your last bite. Look at my photo to see it yourself. The only highlight of my visit were seeing the waitresses. OH MY GOD!!! I can't believe how attractive they all look. That day, they were all brunettes in black dresses. After telling my friend about it, my friend said the restaurant is known for waitresses, but not their food. By the way, don't just go with shorts or jeans. Dress up nicely, otherwise other diners will look at you as if you don't belong there.

I have been here a few times and I have enjoyed each trip. I was referred here by a local who liked all the pretty servers. I was concerned because there was little mention of the food or service. Luckilly for me they are good at those as well. We started with the blue cheese fries. They are great. Even people who are not big blue cheese fans may like these. The blue cheese flavor is subtle. For my meal I orderd the steak frites. The meat was tender and tasty. I added a side of the peppercorn sauce. That made it even better. Our server was friendly and attentive.

The food was ok-good... but I must say, I was quite offended by their effort to rip me off on my drink. This is the Bailey's on the rocks I ordered and I am not exaggerating, this is exactly what they brought me. Does it seem a bit light on the beverage? Click the link below: thevocaliststudio.box.co… I think they do this because some people actually let themselves be ripped off like this and don't complain. Not me, I find it to be an insult to my intelligence. So beware that they may try to bend you over on the drinks.

Went back to Joey after being contacted by the management, who assured me that was not their normal service. This time we didn't sit in the bar, and the wait staff was so attentive. We ordered the Calamari appetizer, a Slushie Long Island Iced Tea, I had the Hamburger and my husband had short ribs, we followed this up with the mini Pumpkin Donuts for Dessert. Everything was delicious. The spices where spot on this time. There was another family celebrating a Birthday and that made the atmosphere even more festive. I think next time I am in Southcenter I will be stopping by Joey for some of the Yummy Calamari!

I would give it zero stars if possible. You must have to have an iq of 10 in order to be employed here. Didn't bring us enough menus, didn't bring us drinks, didn't know the menu, forgot that we were waiting for a table. Absolutely terrible service!

My wife and I made a trip over to Seattle for a night (Ikea). We decided on this restaurant as I'd been there for drinks several times on business trips. We got there at 10:30 pm on Sunday. We had a fantastic waitress in Hannah who was very friendly, knowledgeable on the drinks, and was always checking on us. My wife ordered the sushi and steak and i had the steak with mushroom jus. Also calimari app with spicy aoli. The app was great especially the tempura asparagus which should be an app of its own. But the main courses were phenomenal it was amazing to get such a wonderfully prepared meal that late on a Sunday night. Kudos to the chef!!! My steak was rare and seasoned perfectly. The one issue was the sushi roll was rolled a little loose but tasted great nonetheless. Can't wait to go back!!!

Friendly servers and very nice atmosphere. The drinks are good. I got the peach bellini. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it tasted almost more floral than it was peachy... maybe it's just me. I would probably get a different drink next time, but it was still good none-the-less. I got the ahi tuna club and WOW! What a great concept, and great execution! The bacon overpowered the tuna, which I wish didn't happen since I pretty much ordered it for the tuna, but it was still really good. Everything else balanced out well enough. It's pretty pricey, but it a nice place to eat at and the servers are great. Give this place a try.

Don't go here under any circumstances. Food is horribly made and ridiculously priced. Service was terrible as well. For the same price, I could have had the best steak in Seattle at the Metropolitan Grill instead. This place is a joke. Expect to pay over a hundred dollars for food you wouldn't give to your dog. And good luck getting your water refilled or even seeing your waiter.

As much as I love the atmosphere and the food and beverage here, I can honestly say the service from the wait staff is terrible. Me and the boyfriend got a much needed date night out from the baby, and decided this would be our first stop, since he knows how much I love it here. We were greeted almost immediately at our table in the bar. I thought this was going to be a pleasant experience. We ordered our drinks, and sat and waited for them to return. We waited...and waited, and waited some more. By this time, I had seen that our drinks were waiting for someone to bring them over to us. By this time, Im just sitting there staring at our drinks which were melting (since I always order the Super Nova Vodka Soda, it comes with the citrus slush). About 20 minutes later, the woman who took our order originally came and brought us the drinks. We asked if we could have them re-made, since they were sitting for so long melting. She said 'No problem' and walked back to the bar. She told the bartender we wanted new drinks made, in which her response was 'Why?' Then she kept re-stocking her bar, and NOT re-making our drinks. The bartender took the new order receipt for the drinks and put it on the same OLD drinks and a DIFFERENT waitress brought THE SAME DRINKS BACK TO US! NOT COOL! I said, No. We want these re-made (AGAIN). Then I asked for a manager. In which, she went to speak to the manager. The manager went and spoke to other tables to ask how they were doing, and completely ignored us. Once our drinks were brought back to us (after 30 minutes of waiting), I asked once more for the manager. She came over, I explained the situation, she apologized profusely, bought our first and only round of drinks, and gave us a card to come back with two drinks and an appetizer. I don't even know if I want to use it. Such a bad experience for what is suppose to be a nice restaurant. The manager handled it in a very good way, but the overall experience has left a permanent bad taste in my mouth. I'm done with JOEY.

This review is about their alcohol free drinks. Came here with a group of people that are under age since it's the only place that's open past midnight. Since we only want alcohol free drinks and a place to chill and talk...their drink options is very limited and not the best either.

Worst bar I have ever been too. No type of customers service. Stuck up bartenders who thinks they are too good to server you. Everything is way over price. $50 for 4 shots that was short-poured. I know because I'm a bartender. Never again with this place. Sick to my stomach of how bad it was.

I came here once before and had the steak frites but Saturday I Came here because I had 2 free entrees from the owner. Their customer service is one of the best. Tatyana our server was so friendly and made us feel at home. I ordered the salmon and it itself was not the best I had.. But the potatoes and egg roll that came with it was very good!! My boyfriend had the steak & sushi. He liked his steak and the sushi was pretty good but not the best. (In my opinion) the Joey burst drink was so refreshing and tasty!! Il especially on a hot day. I crave it all the time now. I would definetly come back again and again. Service 11/10!! Taste: 8/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 (a Little to hot)

I am in love with this place! Food is amazing, waitresses are dressed nicely, and ambiance is great with this place. Food is not cheap and friendly BUT presentation and taste is always amazing in this place. It's not fancy enough to wear good clothing but it's not too rubbish like going to an Olive Garden. Smart casual works well in this particular establishment. Overall I always come back to this place even for just drinks because the drinks are amazing! :)

food is good, not great but for this.side of seattle, its ok. service is usually bad but at times you get a server who is tip conscious. the annoying part is how consistent menus, forks, and plates are dirty yet i always see groups of wait staff just standing around doing nothing but chatting it up. this place is all atmosphere, and decorated with wait staff in black cocktail dresses. personally, id take consistent good service or a natural smile over pretentious seattle sevens with big heads.

I came here for a work event and was really looking forward to it since I've heard decent things. We ordered a variety of appetizers from the menu- sliders, fries, calamari, caesar salad- which all looked basic, nothing fancy. I ate some of the fries and they were okay. Nothing else looked good enough to try for me. I looked at the menu to order other items and the prices were higher than expected. We were also in a private area but it was so loud! there weren't any walls, just beads from the ceiling. You could only talk to the person next to you or else you'd be yelling across the table. The music was a little loud for that time of day too. I'd like to come back and actually sit in the restaurant. They had a great wine and cocktail menu. The restaurant and bar is very nicely decorated.

Expect to wait at least 30 minutes for a refill of water or do like I did and walk up to the bar 5 feet away and get it yourself. This was on a Wednesday night when it wasn't even busy. Our dinner for 6 lasted two hours. That type of duration for dinner I would have expected at a much nicer and hospitable restaurant where the price of dinner was reflected as a great experience. The food is ok when they actually get your order correct. Our waiter was too busy delivering food to table as across the restaurant than attending to our table while 3-4 waitress stand behind the bar and discuss their nails. Their wait staff do not communicate to each other. Be sure to only address your waiter ONLY not those who bring the food. While not getting much attention during dinner our waiter was sure eyeing us like a hawk every 2 minutes once we got our bill. VERY TACKY!!!

I ate lunch here with my sister and BFF and I was not happy with the food, service or prices. All three orders were wrong, we were mostly ignored by the wait staff, and our bill was $75 - for lunch! I shall not return. If this review saves just one person from throwing their money away, I will be gratified.

Went here for a work team lunch. I'm not in a hurry to return. The steak was small, cold, and unremarkable. I will note that I was able to cut it with the bent butter knife I had available to me (They brought the steak knife after I was halfway done eating it.) The "frite" and I use that term derisively, were shoestring, tasted like styrofoam, and I ate two of them before giving up. The salad on my plate was unremarkable, tasted like a shrub, and the tomato underneath it lacked anything resembling molecular cohesion. It might have been tomato paste carefully crafted to resemble a tomato slice. The nachos were a weird pile of stuff with what I think was chicken, olives, sauce, and avocado. There might have been cheese in there somewhere, but I don't recall seeing it. I always expect service to be lacking for large groups. It's logistically challenging, and most restaurants just don't staff for it well. This was a cluster of epic proportions. Most of my table didn't get water until just before the entrees arrived, and when it did appear it was placed on a side table and one of my group got up from his chair to hand it to people. I have type 2 diabetes, and had ordered a diet soda. I noted this to more than one server. I got regular soda the first time, and then again on two subsequent refills. I did not drink them past the first sip, but even that will mess with my blood sugar. I should have brought a food taster with me, I guess. The room we were seated in was directly behind the front counter. The chairs were uncomfortably narrow (I have two foot wide shoulders), it was a weird spot, and just not well situated or designed. I didn't know that garden cinder block was an interior design choice outside of college dorm rooms.

I knew the service here was sketchy but I didn't expect it to be this bad. When I first arrived, I waited at a table that my friends were already sitting at. I waited for about 15 minutes and the server never approached our table. I finally went up to the bar to get my own drink and the bartender only started to make the drink I ordered after the manager came up and asked me if I had been helped. After I sat back down at my table it took another 30 minutes, at least, for the server to ask if we wanted to order food. When I ordered a glass of wine, my wine order got sent to another table but we were able to get the server's attention to let her know that she was giving my glass of wine to the wrong table. When we ordered another round of drinks the server asked us if we wanted chasers for our shots. She never brought the chasers. This is a short list of many of the things that were wrong with the service tonight. The food and drinks are too expensive for the extremely mediocre service.

This place is fraudulent, i was asked for my card by my server to start a tab i told her i was paying cash, she said they needed a card to start my order i then gave her my card. We ate dinner and i payed with a $100 dollar bill when i requested my credit card back i was told that she didn't have it i said you required me to give you a card to order so where is it she said she didn't know? I called they manager the following morning and was told sorry we don't have your card. I'm so pissed, I'm not going to report the card stolen either I'm waiting for the unauthorized purchases that I'm going to get because this restaurant has stolen my card, then I'm contacting the police

Here for Dinner on Saturday night with a group of 10 of my friends. Had a great dinner, Brittany you are wonderful, and I mean what I said for reals. Navreet, you run a tight ship and I will be back for sure. The staff was excellent, the cooks were on the mark perfectly and the sangria was exceptional; Wow what a great dinning experience. The prices were very reasonable for a nice night out to dinner at a steakhouse. Be sure to check the drink specials, Saturday they had a Hefewizen wheat beer for $4 on draft and a large sangria for $6, this was at a discount of about $2 a drink and made the dinner all the more affordable. Bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and parking was abundant in the large shared lot. For a mall restaurant, this was classy and upscale for sure. Thank you Joey Steakhouse.

Bar/grill featuring soulless "soul" music, mostly garbage that could have been pulled out of a time capsule from 15 years ago. It's the only place I've ever been which serves room-temp water in a glass with no ice. I ordered the burger, which was good but very small. They did a nice job of cooking it to order, but then charged an extra $2 for a minuscule side salad instead of fries. The staff is almost entirely female and attractive, which is a nice touch and shows they're trying. If they could warm the music and chill the water, enlarge the burger and throw in a decent salad, it would be a fine place.

WHAT I LOVED: The atmosphere - came Friday night to meet with some girlfriends after work. The bar culture is great, and hard to find, south of downtown Seattle. Lots of young professionals, sports playing on the TV, etc. Location - Westfield Shopping Center! Perfect location! Mall closes at 9pm, I believe. Southcenter is sort of a "fair" meeting place between Downtown Bellevue, Downtown Seattle, Federal Way, and even Downtown Tacoma! Nice pic! Wine list - Washington is the 2nd largest wine producer in the U.S. Gotta love the #WAWine! OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH: Service Time - Ummm... service is slow! Point of Sale - great food, but way overpriced. $13.75 for a rainbow roll at a restaurant that doesn't even specialize in Sushi. It was good, but I think it should have been priced at $10-11. I can go to Happy Hour at Palisade and get high quality sushi for the same price. I think this should be reconsidered, OR, they should install new Happy Hour times, which leads me to my next point. Late Night Happy Hour - I came at 9:30pm. Hello Joey's? Where is your Happy Hour from 9-close? This is the perfect opportunity to create dishes with a lower cost of goods to the restaurant, draw in a great late night crowd, and still make a nice profit... Sushi selection - Their sushi is actually quite good. I'd recommend expanding the selection though. The rainbow roll is the only maki roll available, which is odd, as usually non-Japanese restaurants will insert more neutral maki rolls onto their menu (i.e., California, Shrimp Tempura) if they're going to included sushi. The rainbow roll is a bit aggressive for people who want to try maki rolls, but aren't overly keen on the raw fish! I liked it though :). FINAL THOUGHTS: Overall the food was pretty good, however, they really should start a late night happy hour though. I'd definitely go back to meet friends, but not sure I'd initiate the reservation at this place. It's a nice, trendy spot to hang out on a Friday night, but doesn't seem that great if you're looking for value. Service was also a little to slow for me, but I'm guessing it's because it was a Friday night and our waitress was slammed. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and giving Joey Southcenter 3 stars!

Came here for dinner for my friends birthday and we were seated outside on a very hot and sunny day. I got the sangria and my boyfriend got a hefe. We got the blue cheese fries which is always bomb. I ordered the hibachi wings because I wasn't that hungry but to my surpirse, it came with a lot of wings. My boyfriend got the ahi tuna sandwich. But the biggest highlight of our dinner was that a couple of Seattle Seahawks were sitting next to us! We got a picture with Ricardo Lockette and Tarvaris Jackson! I guess Joey's is a popular place for football players to come eat haha

I've been to nearly all Joey's location in Washington and this location is by far the best. From the service, cleanliness, food and ambience... I give this location an A+ Management did very well in choosing their staff, keeping them on their toes and most importantly keeping the service top tier. There was a very nice young woman by the name of Linh that made sure our table(along with everyone else's) was great and if we needed anything else. She was very kind, enthusiastic and very helpful with suggestions as I wasn't sure what to order. I don't mind driving further to this location from now on. Thank you & keep it up!

I came here a couple weeks ago to treat my friend to lunch. We were promptly greeted and seated which was a definite plus. Our waitress was a blonde female, don't quite remember her name but she was extremely awkward. She asked us our names but never ended up using them during the meal. We both ordered a beer then hibachi wings with parm sauce for an appetizer, a salad with watermelon radish, and a CAB Mushroom burger. Appetizer came out relatively quick but we only had the wings about 3 minutes before getting our main dishes. The wings were very flavorful and had a nice pepper kick to it. My CAB burger was decent and the shoestring fries were good but only if you eat them fast because they get cold. My friend said her salad was good, also had quinoa, tomatoes, raisins, and other stuff. Took a veeeeery long time to get the check. She wrote a nice little message on it which of course is in hopes of getting a better tip. Overall about $60 before tip. The only very enjoyable thing about our visit was the appetizer. Next time I'll be going elsewhere primarily based on price.

This was my first time ever at a Joey's and I was pleasantly surprised after reading several poor reviews. They were having an unexpected busy evening on a wet, drizzly Thursday and I had driven 1.5 hours to meet with a friend who drove up from Portland for a couple of interviews. Setting: dim, with lamps, candles, and the glow from several large flat-screen televisions broadcasting several different games. Service: Pretty good. I was prepared for several different servers, per reviews and I think I got three. One drinks lady (Diane?) who was the sweetest server, someone else who was our food person that we only saw maybe twice, and some random woman with caramel-colored ponytail who didn't introduce herself to the table. Diane (or was it Diana?) was super sweet and patient, esp after my friend got lost in the area and took longer arriving than anticipated. She got us tasters when we couldn't decide on wine and didn't pressure us into ordering anything. She even took our food order and offered to split both so that we wouldn't have to do it ourselves. Super nice! Food: The food was pretty good, too, esp when you're cold and tired and super hungry. We split the French dip and that panang curry bowl. The French dip came on a soft buttered/oil French roll with an inch of thinly sliced meat inside. The au jus and skinny fries that came along for the ride were as delicious as the sammie. The panang curry was sweet and spicy, as advertised by server Diane, and came with shrimp and peppers. It was so pretty and yummy-- too hungry for pics this time. We had a great time, hogging the table for over 2 hours, and no one told us to leave! Our side of the house was fairly emptied when we left after being embroiled in two years of catch up the entire time. So glad we came for dinner! Next time, I want to try the cocktails!

Come for the hot waitresses! Stay for the overpriced food and drinks. Honestly, if you're coming here just for the food, get out more. It's okay. You're paying for the view. Joey has what appears to be a very progressive hiring policy. That is, if you are not a hot female who looks good in tight black pants, don't bother. There's something to be said for that. Otherwise, the food is mostly over priced, but tastes pretty good. Their chef boasts of some awards he has won on the menu I think, so if you are impressed by things like that, this place may be for you. Joey fits in better in Bellevue where the divorced cougars can hob knob with some Microsofties looking for some side action.

We have been to the Seattle and Bellevue locations many times, this was the first time that there was open seating at this location. The burger was killer! My Baja Taco's had no sauce for some reason, and the only real problem was the 10 min wait for a check. How good was the burger? Let's break it down BOMC style: Bread - Not egg bread, not brioche, but something in between with enough structure to hold up to the juice. Burger - good char, kind of thick but soft and almost fluffy that it melted in my mouth. Veggies - thin slices of onion and tomato with just the right amount of leaf lettuce. The lettuce was still chilled when it came to the table. Cheese - Thin slice but still tasty. Fries - too salty for me, but crisp and creamy frites style. Pickle spear was chilly and crisp too!

I've never had a bad experience here... I think except for when I had to wait like almost an hour for my foood.... and that was bad. But I usually get pretty good service here. I had the Thai Salad, which I just looked on their menu online, and I didn't see it, but it was delicious. It had some sort of Asian noodles, and the sauce was definitely on point, also with chicken. I also can't believe that I can't remember what else I've had here. But it's good food, good service, and I would definitely recommend it to girls who want to eat before a night out, or for casual dining, or for happy hour, or just for fun . :) this Southcenter location and Bellevue, both, I've been to, and have been excellent. PS. Bellevue probably had the utmost BEST service though ;)

We got the Tuna tartare appetizer because it was our first time there. It's different from most tuna tartare. It had a crispy mini taco shell with sugar sprinkled on the outside. Then they had shredded cabbage and carrots with the rare tuna all inside of it. There was a bit of sauce on it but I couldn't figure out what it was. The appetizer itself is pretty tasty but different. For my entree I ordered the Sashimi tuna salad. The salad had A LOT of flavors going on. At first, I was a bit confused and didn't like all that was happening in my mouth. It was sweet, spicy, salty, tangy, minty, etc. I was a bit overwhelmed at times, but all in all, it was a good salad. The venue is pretty nice, they had a few TVs above the bar for people to watch sports. The servers were good looking women. There are a lot of business men who were there. Before dining here, I heard it's meant to be like a "Hooters." I think it's a bit classier than Hooters and a lot more tame. It's not loud and obnoxious inside like some Hooters can be.

I'm surprised to see that this place has rather low rating. My boyfriend and I visited Seattle for almost a week and walked past by JOEY a couple times and finally decided we'll stop by to get some snacks since it looks nice and comfy inside. We were greeted by the hostess at the front right when we walked in, very friendly attitude. She asked us if we want a seat after we looked through their menu in the front, and she was rudely interrupted by another staff (I'm guessing waitress or another hostess), whom then continued to stand in front of us blocking the original hostess we were speaking to. Awkward. We could see the original hostess' look that said "wow, ok...", well, so did we. That was not a very good impression of professionalism. About the second hostess who interrupted rudely of course. I mean it was rather obvious that we were in a conversation with the original hostess. Just didn't exactly enjoy that hint of drama between the staffs. Moving on. So the second hostess had us sit down anywhere we want in the restaurant. It was evening and there were probably 5-6 tables other than us. We waited a while for someone to come by to ask us for drinks. It seemed as if no one even knew we sat down. After we got our drinks, again it was a while before the waitress or whoever it was that came by to take our food order. Food didn't take too long to come out. We only ordered two apps since it was supposed to be "snack" for us. We waited a while, again, for whichever waitress to come by so we can get our check and some boxes. We didn't exactly like it there. They had at least 4 or 5 staffs (including bartenders, excluding hostess) with 5-6 tables with approximately 10 customers excluding us. That is FAR from being busy. Yet we waited so long for service when we need it. The staffs there look hot and all, but service is a lot more important in a restaurant. No customer enjoy a pretty face but no ability to work efficiently. After we pay we walk out and we were asked by the manager about how our experience was. We said it was okay and she asked further about what was wrong. We told her it was slow service. And she offered to treat us for the next time we go back, which I thought was very nice of her. Unfortunately we were only visiting and we won't be going back anytime soon, so she gave us back the money we paid for our meal just because we weren't satisfied with our experience. That was an excellent move of the manager, and that's why I'm giving them 4 stars. Nothing is better than safely securing your customers, no matter what kind of problems customers may have with the place. That is true professionalism. But I really do think they need to train and get their staffs working properly... Bottom line: Atmosphere is great, super chill, comfy, and classy. Food is great. Service... not so much. Service from manager... excellent.

I feel like everytime I come to Joeys, I always get a male server. And when I do get a waitress, she will not even acknowledge me or my girlfriends. RUDE. Anyways, I know they are suppose to act extra flirty and be super hot towards these business men that come in around noon, or even after work hours...but still, I am still a customer!! Keep on hiring "Ferrari's that don't run" then the real $ won't come in either! Food is alright, but must admit I love the filet mignon. The first time I had it was on my birthday last year, it was DELICIOUS. came in not too long ago, it tasted like old meat. I took a small bite and chewed not even 2 bites of it and spit it right back out. Gross. the peach bellini is great as always. ahi tuna tacos are my favorite. The sauce that goes with it, is good as well. I feel like I'm paying for the environment of the restaurant. nothing too specail.

I like Joey's. $3 Mojitos on Sundays are hard to beat. I love their mojitos even at full price. The peach bellinis here are also divine. Hmmm, what else? I love the bleu cheese fries and I don't even like bleu cheese regularly. The gyoza are a little on the salty side with the sauce, but they are still pretty good. My favorite entree would be the fish tacos - that guacamole and hot sauce, with a cold drink, is the perfect ending to a long work week. The food isn't the most incredible I've ever had, but it is quite good, and consistent - which is a plus. I've always been happy with my service here. The girls are hot, but still sweet and helpful. Although, they do give more attention to the male customers, but I understand - get your money girls! All in all, Joey's is a great place to come and grab some good food & drinks... and stare at hot girls (if you're into that sort of thing).

Below average foods and drinks. I will say, the servers were all women, very done-up, mostly asian, and mostly with huge boobs. If you're into that and not a good restaurant, this is your place. Pros? -BOOBS -Happy hour has relatively cheap prices -The service was up to standards Cons? -Food was slow -The food was edible, but that's not saying much

For someone who doesn't like this place, I'm sure here a lot. My cousin planned his birthday dinner here for a group of 10. Appetizers: -blue cheese fries: pretty good -calamari: the breading was ok, but the actual squid and the sauce were not good. Entrees: -BIG chicken caesar: more like a side caesar size, nothing impressive. Not enough croutons and not enough cheese or dressing. -Ahi Tacos: 4 tiny tiny tiny tacos with only a single 1.5inch strip of ahi on each. i couldn't even taste it beyond the crunchy won ton wrap that was the shell. Bad. -Fish and shrimp tacos: OK, but i prefer grilled fish tacos and not fried fish, so not my fave. Dessert: -Apple tart: best thing I've ever eaten here. Final verdict after about 5 visits in the past couple of months: I would never choose to come here. Service is good, but food just needs a lot of work.

24 people for lunch. Waited over an hour for first course. Salad over-dressed. Seared ahi tuna sandwich flavor was ok, but tuna was a thin steak that looked like it was steamed and then had grill stripes painted on it. I wouldn't go back but some like the drinks here. Noisy. They did give everyone a coupon for 1 free appetizer for the next visit.

I debated 2 or 3 stars on this, but when I remember the size of the entrees for the price, I had to downgrade. First, very nice restaurant from a decor and other perspective. Good service as well. Attentive and helpful. However..... for the $125 for three for a smallish dinner, I was unimpressed. Being from Chicago, I thought maybe the Halibut and Prawn spaghettini was going to be good. However, the fish was a tiny sliver of Halibut and the prawns were the almost tiny salad shrimp. Fish was a little overcooked and dry. Really wish I felt better about this place, but I didn't.

How to classify Joey's? I've been to multiple locations (South Lake Union) as well as this Southcenter location a few times. I'm always surprised at how 'upscale' they claim to be. The menu/drinks reflect their desire to be considered a 'upscale' chain although I don't feel that it was a $20 chicken entree. I came recently for the big LSU vs. ALA game and so we only stayed in the bar area. The bartenders are all young ladies who have a strict uniform. It felt a bit like "Hooters" and caught me by surprise. Perhaps I am now an old lady but I'd rather go to Happy Hour next door and get better food and atmosphere.

This place is awesome! I have been here many times (mostly as a guest), and it's always been great. I love the menu selection - you don't see too many places that serve tacos, sushi, pizza, burgers, pasta.....and do it great! It isn't the cheapest place, but you get what you pay for! I love the Ahi Tuna Club!! I love the atmosphere - the low tables/chairs in the back. The fireplace. Cool joint - definitely the 'hippest' place for the younger crowd in the area.

Eh. Nothing to rave about this place. Nice atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating on a sunny day. Sat at the bar with a friend, service was fine.. came on a Saturday around 130pm. Ordered one drink and the calamari. They calamari was OK, a little on the dry side and over-seasoned. So... for one drink and an appetizer, my bill was $30... over-priced to say the least in comparison to the quality of the food.

I came with two friends. We originally wanted to go to the Olive Garden but there were a bunch of homecoming kids keeping that place packed. My friend did want to come here at all, so I feel like his complaining kind of ruined it for me and god forbid, may have swayed me a bit. We ordered the shrimp pesto pizza and ahi tuna tacos for appetizers while my girlfriend and I shared the shrimp and halibut spaghettini. My other friend ordered the chicken sandwich. My friends seemed to like the shrimp pesto pizza quite a bit. I thought it was just ok and later, they agreed. It had a nice oven-roasted flavor to it though. The ahi tuna tacos were delicious and so refreshing but impossible to eat because they crumbled upon the first bite and the veggies splatter way beyond your plate. The spaghettini was ok...I liked the halibut. My friend didn't like his chicken sandwich, but he also was biased. I really like the decor of this place. It was way nicer than the Lake Union or Bellevue location. There were swanky white beaded curtains, colored lights on the wall and the bathroom was really nice. I've eaten at Joey's so many times that maybe I didn't pick the right entrees this time, but all in all, it was still a decent trip down South!

  • Lisa P.

I've always stop by Joey's as a default for a nice dinner. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet, furnished with chic and modern decor, and the food (although with a limited menu) delivers a fusion of American and Asian cuisine. I would recommend their steak entrees if you are indecisive or just really hungry. While the rest of the menu (lunch options included) offers familiar items such as burgers, calamari, and pasta, I find that the steak entrees have more quantity and quality in portion size. The staff is always very helpful, but service varies depending on the day and time of your dining experience. Most times, the waiters are nonexistent, and would show up every now and then to refill your glasses with water. Despite many inconsistencies, they are always helpful even when you have to flag them down in order to ask for your check. Joey provides a decent dining experience whether you're here for food or drinks.

I rarely write a poor review about a restaurant, however this one star out of five was well deserved for JOEY South Center after my visit this evening. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, so first impression was great. Our waitress promptly took our drink and dinner orders and they were delivered in a timely manor. But then we never saw our waitress again. Me and my two guests went our entire dinner without anything to drink! (Our cocktails were finished well before food arrived). Once our dinner was compete another waitress finally came by to ask if we wanted anything to drink (about 30 minutes later). After requesting 3 diet cokes, the cokes came 20 minutes later of which by this time we are late for a movie. Immediately asked for the check (denying the late diet cokes) and still being charged for three of them! This was my first time at this restaurant and after a $150 bill suffice to say I will not be going back nor will say nice things about this place to any of my friends.

I haven't been to Joey's in awhile... and this was my first time at the Southcenter one. I really enjoyed it actually! The food was great, I ordered the burger and it came with delicious string fries... oh my, they were probably my favorite part of the meal. The service was pretty on par as well, our server was good about refilling waters and she was very helpful too. My friend ordered the fish tacos and that's a favorite of hers. We sat in the lounge and it was very nice and fancy! I still don't know what the dining area's like but I can imagine gorgeous decor and great lighting as well.

My girlfriends and I (who live in the south end) like to meet up here for Happy Hour. Their drinks are good (heavy on the liquor). I can't say they have "Happy Hour" prices although they have a HH drink each day. Their fish tacos is a good snack dish. Their mini burgers are so cute, but a little too greasy for me (only my preference). Everything else is just so so. The waitresses are friendly and they check up on us frequently. They are also accommodating when it comes down to splitting the bill and knowing who ordered what when you are there with a big group.

If I could give zero stars I would. Since opening at Southcenter, I have eaten at Joey's probably five times with the last two time being in the past week. I have yet to be impressed with Joey's. The food is okay and service is horrible. Last week I had gone to Joey's with a group of people from work. Service was really slow and it took forever to get your drink. One person waited so long for their glass of wine t ended up being on the house. I went to Joey's last night and this will be the last time I will ever go there. It was the worst experience of all times I have gone to Joey's. My friend and I decided we wanted to eat outside in the bar area. We were surprised that we couldn't just go to the empty table that we wanted, but had to wait for the hostess to seat us. We told the hostess what table we wanted to sit at and she said okay. When the hostess went to seat us she took us to a table for ten people and we laughed. We told the waitress to save the table for a large group and we again pointed to what table we wanted to sit at. We couldn't understand what the big deal was but the hostess got argumentative because we wanted to sit at a table for two and not ten. After arguing for a few minutes we FINALLY get seated at the table we wanted. As soon as we got seated we gave the hostess our drink orders. She must not have turned it in because after she left us, we had four other waitresses stop by our table to take our drink order. Each time they came, they would be going so you ordered this and that. They seemed to know what we ordered but it wasn't getting turned in. It took forever to get our drink. And the rest of the night it went like that. Towards the end of the evening my friend and I were getting fed up with the lousy service and decided to leave. We told the waitress we were going to the restroom and to please have our checks ready for us up front. We got to the front desk looking for our checks and even though we asked our waitress to have it up there, she left it at our table. Advice to anyone thinking of going to Joey's DON'T. Instead go to Duke's. The food is better and so is the service. As far as your waitresses. What is the purpose of putting them in dresses three sizes to small. When I am eating the last thing I want to see is my waitress's boob popping out because the dress is to small.

We came here on a Friday night and went to the bar as there was a wait for the main dining room. I was pretty impressed with the interior of the restaurant. It was a hot day and they opened the doors and so the bar area had an open feel which was fantastic. The TV's were easily seen at all corners of the bar area which was good. We ordered the Friday bar special which was some vodka coke cherry topped with an ice slush and a cherry. It was pretty good. For the entrees, we got 2 steaks. My bf and I asked for medium well and medium rare and I would say we got it. The steak needed some A1 and it was good. We were craving it and knew this place isn't a steak house so our hopes weren't to high. I always love the egg-roll mash potatoes and the assorted vegetables that came along with it was good too--crunchy, flavorful and fresh. I been to all Joey locations and there isn't a better or worst one.. Service was kinda slow at first and then it picked up so I can't complain.

This review is long over due, for two reasons. One, I haven't written a Yelp review in a while, so I need to get my feet wet. Two, because I haven't written a review in a while, something obviously must have happened to put a fire under my butt; and it did...AMAZING SERVICE! Let me explain... I was up visiting my partner in crime over the weekend at the start of June. We'd been busy all day, it was late but we wanted something besides fast food. We had been to Joey's before and the food was decent, and more importantly, they had late-night service. You know how it is when you want some late-night noms, you need to have LATE NIGHT NOMS! We got there around 11Pm and the place was CRAZY busy. I figured we weren't going to have an ice cubes chance in hell of finding a seat, and there was no one at the front to greet us. This was already starting to be a bad idea...until our savior appeared! The sweetest girl I have met in a loooong time, and by sweet, I don't mean that annoying hostess or greater voice you get at most places, but GENUINLY caring and adorable to boot. (FYI...the staff here is very easy on the eyes, from the hostesses, to bartenders to the wait staff) Anyhooo....we came to find out her name was Brianne and she was a doll. She apologized for circus, put us at ease, and found a nice little spot for us to chill in the bar area. However, after sitting for a few minutes, Brianne actually came over to tell us that our server would be right with us, and she promised no one had forgot about us. True to her word, a lovely waitress appeared as if by magic (and I feel terrible for not remembering her name, but it started with an "M" and if I had to guess it was "Melissa"). We got drinks and food ordered and our waitress was a delight. To be honest, food and drinks were a little slow, but it wasn't our waitresses fault. The restaurant had a "slammed" vibe and I think the bar and kitchen were feeling the effects. Fast forward to 1 1/2 hours later.... Remember our heroine of the story, Brianne? Well, that girl deserves a medal. Since the food and drinks were lagging, we had time to "people watch" and lets just say that not everyone in Joeys was as chill as my boy and me. There were some straight up rude people, bitching about stuff that shouldn't be bitched about on a Saturday night. Seriously, this poor girl handled some serious business that night. I watched her talk to customers, bus tables, and calm down the crankiest of fools. I thought she was a hostess at first, but quite honestly she could have been the manager, still not sure. All I know is that because of her, that ship did not sink and the crew did not commit mutiny. The only reason I'm not giving this review five stars is because things were slow, but again, not the fault of our waitress. Honestly, the food is about a three, but Brianne was so awesome I'm bumping it up a notch. Well, played Joeys, well played.

Good for people-watching when the weather is nice. However, it's SC so you might get stabbed while watching. The women are cute and the menu is different from normal restaurants. They have some interesting dishes. Great ambience as well. I like it for night-time chillin.

BEST PLACE TO SIT/PEOPLE WATCH...21+? Sit at the patio & have cocktails if you can if the sun is out! Have dinner beside the fireplace on cold months! *Check out their bathrooms it's picture worthy ;) *people normally dine here "dressed to impress" even though it's a premium casual restaurant

Decent food, great drinks, mediocre service. The bar area at this Joey's is very spacious. They even have outdoor seating that they open up on sunny days. The only thing that really marked this location down was that when we sat down it took almost 15 minutes before our waitress asked us what we wanted and another 10 plus minutes to get our drinks. It was a pretty slow day as well mind you. I would come back though since it has a great atmosphere to hang out in.

if i could - i'd give this place half more star. but its not really fair to round up. A-Ok fits it just right. i've been here a handful of times and its okay. there's never anything that sets it above and beyond to get much more. service is okay - food is okay - drinks are okay. i've had above and beyond service at the bellevue location and lake union has the unbeatable views. Southcenter is a nice spot to grab a drink or a quick snack on the patio on a nice summer day. my last visit here - i had the soup and salad combo. the ceasar was a bit under par - the romaine lettuce wasn't very crisp and fresh tasting. the mushroom soup was borderline luke warm. the food runner had asked me if i wanted fresh ground pepper and i said yes - she said "i'll be right back" and never came back. so minus points there. our service was cute and friendly. but nothing spectacular. i know that Joey has the 100% satisfaction guarentee motto - i'd say i was about 80% satisfied but nothing to complain about. just a mediocre experience. A-Ok.

The food here is excellent! The chicken wings and pot stickers / gyoza are two of my favorites, but the Margarita Pizza is right up there with them. You won't find a better looking waiting staff in the South Sound. Someone told me before I had first gone that it's like an upscale Hooters, but that doesn't do it the justice they truly deserve. This is a classy spot and the food is 100x's better than any Hooters. Definitely a great spot for a Date Night or just going out with a good group of friends. I suggest wearing something nice, but they'll take you in your Game Day gear too. This is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in the Tukwila area.

Hung out at the bar with the fiance before a movie. The bar area seems to be decent sized and I love the seating (we sat at a couch). Food and drinks were delish and our server was really nice and helpful. I agree that it does get a little noisy, especially if you're sitting in the bar but I sort of expect that to happen. Price can be a little steep, but it's not too bad if you're there for happy hour ;) And yes, I'd also agree with a couple of other lady reviewers that the bathroom is pretty sweet :)

Wow...if you are into hot asian girls, this place is like heaven. I'm sorry but that is the first thing I have to say about this place. The girls here are all really good looking and almost all of them are Asian. It's kinda weird. The first time we went, I ordered a chopped salad and they brought me a wedge of lettuce. It sort of pissed me off. They didn't even bring a knife with it. I flat out told the waitress that I had ordered a chopped salad and this meal was not done being prepared. She offered to bring me a knife but still - the name also implies how it is made people! Anyways, after I cut it up, it really wasn't that good. Too much asian influence in it. Not really enough of a normal salad flavor. Anyways, it was probably one or two stars at that point. So as we were leaving, the super friendly, super hot asian hostesses were all over us asking how our meal was. I told the girl that I wasn't really impressed with mine and about the whole chopped salad thing and she turned around, got us two free entree coupons, and appologized. So that was pretty awesome. We went back a few days later and I got a gyro. It was pretty good. Above average. The fries that came with it were pretty excellent too. Still, nothing amazing, but edible and pretty good by most standards. This place gets four stars because they had awesome customer service. Not only were all the waitresses that we had very efficient and friendly but the restaurant made amends to rectify my poor experience. If more places would follow their lead, they would have franchises just like Joey's does now.

This is a decent place to just chill and hang out, expect great service, but don't expect great food. Nothing is bad here, but nothing is spectacular. This is a place where you come for the atmosphere and service. You can go somewhere else if you are expecting amazing food. They have drink specials every day here, and they have various beers on tap. They don't have a food happy hour unfortunately. It's a cool place to rendevouz before heading out for a big night.

Have been here multiple times for lunch and a few times for after work happy hours. Overall its not bad.. I think the food is a bit overpriced for what you really get.. there is minimal flavor to the dishes.. but in all honestly I doubt people come here for the food....... Everything I had off their menu has been OK. I dont think I've had the same thing twice... I usually sit in the bar area and watch the Champions League matches during lunch. They have 4 TV above the bar area and you can request them to change the channel to the game you want.

This is a breastaurant. But on the classy side. Not like the huge chain that's named after a funny looking bird of prey. I've been there a half a dozen times and only ate in the bar. Food is decent. I was given a complimentary appetizer once. Salads and steaks are fine. Beer choices is good.

Front end of nothing but big bussomed fembots. All very vapid and pleasant. Wow it's pricey here. $15 for a burger I can get far better quality and more at Lunchbox laboratory or even red robin. I ordered a chicken souvlaki. What arrived immediately gave me pause. At first it appeared suitable but looking closer at the chicken it appeared to be quite a bit underdone. When I finally got the server over (very slow staff) they cordially took it back and asked what I would like to do. I ordered the split pea soup and salad thinking they couldn't kill me with that. It was tasty. The manager came over a short time later and with a smile on her face and told me the kitchen looked at it and said it was fine that maybe I just didn't know what dark colored meat should look like. @blink@ I eat chicken nearly every day. I know when something is underdone. She leaves and before we get our check explains of course my meal was comped and she didn't want us to think she didn't believe us. @blink@ it's a texture thing I explain. Undercooked meat (white or dark) has a rubbery texture. Bah. Never coming back here again. You don't mess around with chicken, lady.

Excellent drinks... good looking bartenders... nice appeal for Seattle area. I'm a Joey's regular from Vancouver so it's nice to check Joey's out when I am in Seattle. Probably the best place to drink in this general vicinity if you like it young and chic.

This place is pretty swanky. Almost a little to cool for the greater Puget Sound. Or maybe it's just my old behind. It's hard to tell. But this place is a little pretentious to me. For those that want the things I described you'll probably enjoy this place. I'm just not that cool. On to the more important topic, the food. It was pretty decent. I had the orange chicken. But fried food and rice is kind of hard to mess up, even at the local teriyaki joint, so I feel like I have to try other things. So, being that I can't say, "OMG this is the best orange chicken I've ever had." and I'm used to the Puget Sound that doesn't really have pretentious dining, I'll give it a 3.

Would it be bad if I say their BATHROOM is the most favorite part of em' all? I mean you can seriously dance inside here. It is like a disco ball. Fancy couch, tall mirrors,...tall, long, dark doors. LIKE OMG. I can literally sleep in here. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Came here a couple of times. Each dish is like worth 15% of your paycheck I swear.. But I never paid even a dime here, friends always treated me here. Came here with Mary where she brought me some sort of potatoe salad and she got chinese tacos or something. They gave us a free complementary dessert w vanilla ice cream and fudge brownie cake. YIPPPEE!! The waitresses are dressed up so professionally. It's like a fancy version of Los Angeles or something. You always see these limos everywhere. Another time I came here w Steve and Dara during the summer when I had the house to myself and wanted to adventure. Luckily he brought me a margarita, since I am only 19 during that time. We stuffed ourselves with chicken wings and good stuff. I was already full but great 1 am night to hang? HECK YES!

This is a great, hip place. defenantly announce it is your first time (if that is the case) when you arrive as they comp a delicious appatizer. (or they did for me) I felt like the service was good but the food is great! the atmosphere is fabulous and trendy with a tweek to the masculine side. Fish tacos are wonderful here. Come hungry!

I used to be a bigger fan of Joey's but over the years the service has gone down and prices have gone up. They care more about hiring a pretty girl then one with brains. Every server is clueless. On a nicer note, the atmosphere is great, love the menu selection, the food tastes amazing, and it's always a fun place to go. Just know that you probably won't get very good service.

I've been here multiple times and more times than not service is horrible. Went for a birthday one time and it took forever to get a new drink. Was asked as we left how our service was i told them the truth that it was the worst I've ever had and they did nothing about it. No apology or nothing. I'll stick with the Bellevue location. Update: 7/26/2013 Tonight was the last straw. When seated BOTH of your place settings had old caked on food stuck the utensils. Got new ones and guess what, MORE food was stuck on those as well!! Discussing! When our appetizer plates were brought out that too was dirty. The service was slow and some staff was un-attentive. Food was also subpar. Blue cheese fries were brought out soggy and soaked in the sauce. They took care of part of the bill but i am no longer going back to this location. I'll make the trip up to Bellevue. 8/26/2013 (this email was sent to a manager) Dear xxxxxxxx, Despite my better judgment my friends and I decided to dine with you guys. Once again it was a mistake and highly regrettable. I cannot express my disappointment enough. When we sat down the waitress asked us if and how the bill should be divided. That was fine except she did something I was not used to. She asked for our names to make it "Easier, i just had to hit print at the end." That was a little odd but it wasn't a big deal. We ordered our meals, and I wasn't very hungry so I just ordered the tuna tacos and wanted the nachos to go for my brother. (Same one that was with us last time, I'll explain more about that later) I SPECIFICALLY asked for everything on the side so that it is still good after I get home. She asked if I wanted to put in now or after we get our meal; I said after. It seemed to have taken a little longer than usual to get our food, I didn't understand why because it was not very busy. Once the food came out it was good except the spin dip that a friend of mine ordered was a little bland. They did not want to say anything about it but since I am sending this to you I wanted to make sure that it was known. We had to ASK for a refill because the waitress didn't. When it came out it didn't have a lime. (Not a big deal) After I finished my meal I wanted to make sure that she put in my to-go order. She had a surprised look on her face and said "I'll put it in now." The food came out a little later and was just left it on the table. About 30 min went by and WE had to ASKED for a dessert menu, she instead let us know verbally and we decided against it. I thought there was more than 4 items on that list. I then checked the to-go order to make sure that it was packed properly. To my surprise everything was on it in the container sealed and soggy. I immediately grabber her attention and she said that "I'm sorry I didn't hear the when you said on the side" I was VERY upset and asked "why would you pack nachos to-go in one container." She apologized and offered to have a new one made. I accepted that offer and was visually upset to the point where my friend were getting worried. FINALLY after that we received our bill. That took way too long. Even though we didn't eat dessert (we had to ask) from the time we finished eating till we got the bill was about 45 min. I was fed up and didn't want to speak with the manager on duty as they do not know what I've been through. Now, switching gears to the dinner that was offered to the 5 of us a few weeks ago: We sat down and jokingly I said "silverware check" (last time it we had multiple dirty silverware and plates) and sure enough, we had 3 different items that were dirty at our table. Our server quickly brought us new ones that were clean. Our drinks came out and the coke was flat (excusable). She then brought us out new ones that were much better. The manager that was there checked in on us before, during and after the meal. We told them about our issues that we had. His response was "thank you, she did resolve those issues, is that correct?" We then replied that yes she did. I was taken by surprise that he didn't take it more seriously or offer anything other comments. Frankly it is UNACCEPTABLE to have dirty silverware at an establishment that prides itself on this level of quality. I have been to restaurants in 3rd world countries that do not have dirty caked on food on the utensils. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to give me a call or reply to this email. Transacted details was truncated for yelp audience.

Not the best dining experience. I eat out a lot and base my expectations on the prices. This place was too expensive for what I paid. Ordered the Summer Salad and a double Blueberry Mojito. The salad was short on summer and high on salad. Very little chicken, cheese, and strawberries. The mojito was ok but weak for a double. The server was good but didn't really meet my expectations either. The customers at the tables around me were extremely loud and on the obnoxious side. I ate at Duke's across the way earlier this week and will go there again. I won't return to Joey's. It wasn't worth it.

Went back to this Joey's for dinner and the service was better than at lunch. This time I ate in the bar and actually the bartender transferred from Lake Union Joey's, so the service level was higher. It's still an odd crowd. Could be the mall location or whatever, but I'm partial to the Lake Union Joey's.

There's nothing horrible to say, but there's nothing great, either. It's very attractive decor wise (and most men would say waitress-wise), the food is good but not amazing -- We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and there was hardly any chicken, mostly crispy noodles you find on the top of salads. The service is the only thing I could really commend. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly, and quick but not pushy. Honestly, our waitress was the reason this place got three stars instead of two. Ways to improve? Don't charge 14 bucks for crispy fried noodles, three cubes of chicken and iceberg lettuce. Also, hire some eye candy of the male variety! We women deserve a high-end hooters, too!

It's always a good experience when I come here. There's only been one time that the service was a little slow but they definitely cared about my experience and even gave me a card for a drink on them for the next time! The ahi tuna tacos are the BEST here. I can eat 3 orders to myself, it's just that good. I also always order the strawberry burst and also the rotisserie lunch/dinner. The only reason why I gave it a 4* is bc I noticed their portions gotten A LOT smaller. About half less than it used to be which is kind of disappointing bc the prices is the same (maybe more) and the food is less. But either than that GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT FOOD!

Got a burger and beer. It was Tuesday so it was $4 IPAs. I liked the burger just fine, but what I really liked was I got to substitute the fries for a salad at no cost. I got the green salad, which was delicious! Had a great-tasting viniagrette and plenty of filling ingredients. Service was friendly. Burger price was comparable to Palace Kitchen, even though the Palace Kitchen burger makes all burgers taste lame in comparison. This place is excellent for a large group (there were 7 of us) but seemed like a cool chill spot for couples too.

Decided to check out Joey Southcenter for dinner while in Kent for work. I've tried most of the places in the area and had never been here before. I almost didn't come because I'm not a fan of malls but all the reviews of this place changed my mind...plus I wouldn't mind looking at some attractive waitresses while I spend my evening by myself! Had the ahi tuna salad and it was awesome. The tuna was delicious and dissolves in your mouth. I only wish there had been more! Discovered they have drink specials every night and it was Pyramid night, so I consumed a few IPAs. Only thing was they must not change the TV channels that often. The manager didn't know and the guy he called over couldn't either. He tried to change the monster truck racing but put on WNBA instead (which was on the TV next to it)...so I was not thrilled about that. But the waitresses were nice. They must do their hiring at a modeling agency...or I'm doing something completely wrong!

This place is nice! they seem to have good food and the drinks are great !!! their service is good, and mainly given by cute girls :) which i think makes this place crowded with tons of guys, the diversity of people is big!! the place itself is clean and modern with a huge bar in the middle you can order from any part around or just wait for your cute waitress at your table ... Good food Good drinks Friendly staff you'll be hooked !!! ipb

Looking around, the question I asked myself was: "do they ever hire anyone that's NOT attractive?" of course, the answer to my question is no. Later on a friend compared Joey's to being a classier version of Hooters. In terms of decor, atmosphere and food I would say that Joey's is wayyyyyyy classier. Food was good. You can't go wrong with any of the ahi-tuna choices. We ordered ahi tuna tacos for an appetizer, which was tastier than the chicken quesadilla. The Ahi-tuna sandwich I ordered came with onion rings (in the sandwich) and shoestring fries. I was a fan of the ahi-tuna, everything else (sandwich and fries) were just ok. Food is a little too pricey, but we're going classy here, so I guess it figures. Even though we were sitting in the dining room area (as opposed to the bar) I felt like I was in a nightclub that served decent food and had pretty waitstaff. The music was good and everyone around our table seemed to be enjoying themselves. In sum: if you want to go to an environment that encourages conversation and is overall social then Joey's is your place. Being the lively place it is, the atmosphere leaves plenty to talk about.

As many times as I've been to the Southcenter Mall, I had never been to Joey's Restaurant & Lounge. I met a friend for lunch, and we sat in the bar area. It was empty upon first arriving, but had significantly more people by the time we left. (we arrived promptly @ 11am, and left around 12:45. While I did not order any alcohol, I did inquire about their rum selection, and as usual this establishment doesn't have anything better than Captain Morgan. Sorry Rum Lovers :-/ My dragon roll was nothing special, but still tasty. My friend's fish tacos were (according to him) also "tasty, but nothing special". The service was good, but the young attractive female server was a sicking color of spray tan that was incredibly distracting. Thankfully the rest of the young attractive female staff didn't seem to have this problem. The decor and atmosphere was pleasant. I will be going back, for sure.

I was skeptical. This isin't my usual type of joint, I'm more of an irish-pub type of gal- especially for my Birthday dinner!! I suggested this place and we all agreed as none of us had ever been... Decor is very sushi-bar-california-vegas-new-dark-spacey (is this a thing). Bathrooms are almost too trendy for me- but ready for some action!! (ala vegas). We had a bottle of wine, some wraps for apps, then we each tried a different salad (tis the New Year). EVERYTHING was delicious! No really. The reasons why this place doesn't get 5 stars is that it's pretty spendy, service (while really good) is a little young and seems a bit inexperienced. (we were asked to wait- not sure why??) I will be back! The outside seating area was nice. For some reason, parking was terrible- I don't know- after holiday returns- but the mall was super duper busy!! Happy Birthday to me! Dinner out that worked out well, and I didn't get tricked into going to Cheesecake Factory (icky icky).

I came here for the first time on Sunday because the friend I was with was craving steak and he wanted to come here so I decided to give it a shot too. I ordered a medium-rare filet mignon and it came with mash potatoes in an egg roll (it was definitely a new experience for me!), and seasonal vegetables along with some bacon bits sprinkled on top. The waitress that I had was superb. She was attentive and checked on us every few minutes to see if we needed anything and the place wasn't even deserted so service was definitely on point for my first experience here.

Food was Ok and tasted fine but nothing out of the ordinary. The burger sliders were odd looking and loaded with extra size tall mini buns. Caesar salad for the price was small but the chicken was tasty. The Fettuccini Chicken Alfredo was Ok and nothing special. I think what makes this place above average is the décor and atmosphere.

Shopping and hockey on a sunny Saturday. Well, shopping was really the main purpose of our trip to Southcenter, but with the Canucks playing in game 1 of Round 2 of the playoffs, we needed to take a break from shopping to watch the game. Yes, we're obsessed with our hockey. We arrived 15 minutes before the game, and was able to snag ourselves the largest round table there was in the lounge area. There were 6 of us, so it fit perfectly. The manager was nice enough to switch one of the TV's to hockey, while all the other screens were playing basketball. This Joey's is like every other Joey's I've been to in Vancouver, but I guess that's what you can expect with chain restaurants. High ceilings, and sleek furniture make this place very 'hip', and the waitresses here are always good looking. The menu here is quite varied-they have a bit of everything. They have happy hour everyday, which basically lasts all day. We start off with some drinks-I get the drink special of the day- the Hoegardden. She insists that I try it with ice and it makes it taste even better. For food, we get some appies to start-the Hibachi Wings and the Earth & Surf Calamari. The wings were large and juicy, and lots of pieces too. There's a spice rub on it, and the parmasean dip that goes with it is perfect. One of the best wings I've had, surpisingly, from a chain restaurant. Calamari is also good, not too oily, just a light batter, and a good portion too. There were also tempura vegetables-green beans!, and it also came with a delcious roasted red pepper aioli. For my main, I got my usual, the Ahi Tuna Club, with smoked bacon, red pepper relish, watercress, and panko onion rings. I asked for half salad half fries on this (which I've done in Vancouver before), but the waitress seemed very hesitant in making this substitution, so I just opted for the fries instead. The entrees took a while to come, but we still attended to as to our water glasses being filled. We were probably the only ones watching the hockey game, but I must admit, it was one good game. The food finally arrives. My Tuna Club was good, but the tuna was a bit dry and it was lacking the juiciness that I had expected. Fries were a bit cold, but I still love skinny fries. Good service, good food, and screens for us to watch hockey. Canucks won! That's all that matters.

Sunday happy hour is awesome because they have $4 Mojitos and they are delicious! I love their skinny fries and their fish tacos. The atmosphere is dark, very dark. Almost like being in a strip club, if I've ever been to one. Is it just me or are all the women in their really skinny and tan as if they should be go-go dancing after the joint closes? No. They are classy broads. I like this place because they have seared tuna sandwiches too.

So I step off the train in Tukwila and get picked up by the bf. And we're starving. It's 9:45 at nite. We drive to (ahem) Southcenter & the only thing that looks remotely inviting is... yeah, you got it...Joey's. Now here's a place I NEVER thought I'd set foot in, unless it was a joke. But here I was. In...Joey's. Truth be told, this is actually a nicely decorated place. Wait staff was a little rushed & kind of busy, but otherwise, not a bad joint. HOWEVER, the clientele. Oh the clientele. There was a guy at a table next to us telling his friend how retarded his son was (really? I'm gonna go w/ bad parenting). How lovely. There were dudes in name brand sneakers and baggy pants. There were girls in...how you say? Hoochie outfits. It was people watching at its finest. Our food pretty good. The Evil Jungle (?) salad was chock full of evil jungle things (chicken? noodles? greens? other assorted veggies?). The calamari also came w/ tempura veggies. That being said, I don't think this is a place I'll be hanging out at, but when in a pinch and hungry, you know it'll be open late at nite.

I came here with my co-workers for a going away party a couple months ago. We were all sitting on the outdoor patio which is awesome. Of course the ladies that work there are all young, attractive females, so naturally my male co-workers have to spit their game on them. It went like this: waitress: "what's the special occasion?" co-worker: " it's my going away party. I am going to work for Amazon (note: it's not actually his going away party, he was just fucking with her) waitress: "oh my god that is so awesome! I love to travel!" BAHAHAHAHAHA No dipshit he is going to work for Amazon the company not work in THE AMAZON! SO EPIC. So obviously you don't need a college degree, let alone high school degree to work her! You just have to be hot, skinny, dress slutty, smile and nod. Foodwise I love the Viva Salad. It's pretty good. I also like their calamari. I pretty much get that every time. Oh and the slider burgers arent bad either. Defintely stick to beer though, the cocktails are pricy.

This place is awesome, the decor is super trendy and the wait staff is comprised of only good-looking, incredibly friendly young women. The Baja Fish Tacos (with shrimp, mm) are amazing, and one of the cooks even came by and asked me how I liked them. The nachos are also good, and served in a surprisingly large portion. The service was fantastic, the ambiance is casual yet classy, and I can't get over how cool the women's bathroom is! Super tall ceilings and modern-futuristic looking fixtures. Very cool place.

It's delicious! The drinks, the food, the decor! Is all ah-mazing The only real problem is that I'm broke and its pricey. And the service is hit and miss. Plenty of beautiful girls working, and the male servers are rude, stand around and watch TV. serious, no lie! But the blue cheese fries and the blueberry blast novas make up for it all.

Definitely 4 stars for being our regular "go-to" place. It varies for me between 3 and 5 stars depending on the server, bartender and cooks. I haven't figured out a pattern other than going when my friend is bartending. Wine choices by the glass are so/so in my opinion, but I have one or two that I like. The Bellini's are blended and one of my boyfriend's favorite drinks. If you go you MUST have the crispy mashed potatoes (although they were 100x better when they were served in smaller portions). Whoever thought up deep frying mashed potatoes is a genius! :) Their sushi roll is consistently good for a non-sushi house and the Spicy Edamame is delicious. Steaks are consistently good as long as you get a good cut.

Ok so I am going to give them a better review because for the first time ever I receive excellent service!! Yay for stepping it up. I decided to come here today to watch the Seahawks play the Saints in one of the playoff games. Woo Hoo go Seahawks, we won despite what most people thought. Moving along, a server actually help seat me at the bar even though it is self seating usually. That was sweet of her. She gave me my menu and my server came immediately. Roxy was so awesome got my drink order right away and it came out in no time. She kept checking up on me until my friends arrive. When my girls got there she came right over and got their drink order. So great. I was very impressed. She took our food order. Everything was just how I liked it. Great customer service didn't check on us too little or too much. I was really happy. My gf spilled her drink and Roxy came right away to help her clean up the mess and also got her another drink. We decided to change tables because we ran into some friends and decided to join them. Roxy accommodated us and took over as our server on our new table as well. Every time we ordered a round of shots they came out quickly. She was great. When it was time to check out she actually had the house take care of one round of drinks for us. I thought that was awesome. We had no complaints the whole time and that was just so sweet of her. I minus a star because Joey had called me a few weeks prior regarding my previous review. They also said they would send me a gift card took down my address and everything but I never got anything in the mail oh well. I was very please with this experience this time around but hopefully its always like that. If you guys decided to go there, sit in the bar and ask for Roxy she might only work weekends. She is great and you won't have a shitty experience.. Plus the Seahawks won soo it was a great game day ;)

Super hot bartenders, amazing Sushi and Steak appitizer, and fatastic wine!! This place equals a great time. Very 'club' feeling atmosphere, but no dancing. Dark and a little loud but they have the game on the TV and it's not to loud to talk to the people you're with.

My sister and I were in the Seattle area visiting family and taking in the sights. On the first night we were in the area we went to Joey's on a family member's recommendation. There were 5 of us that went. When we got there the bar area was pretty full and the dining area was sparse. We couldn't get into the bar area so we waited 10 minutes to be seated in the dining area. The hostess gave us a booth that only sat 4 people and stuck a chair at the butt of table. I asked if we could be sat somewhere else were we all could fit. I looked around and there were plenty of tables (with no one in them) that could be put together to accommodate us. The hostess said that the booth was the only table available. I gave her a doubtful look. I also gave her the benefit of the doubt since they may have had a lot of reservations. We were given our menus right away. The server took 15 minutes to finally take our drink orders and another 15 minutes to take our food order. Our food didn't come out for another 15 minutes. So from the time we sat down it took about 45 minutes for us to finally eat. I was famished and pissed. The server recommended the lobster grill cheese sandwich. I ordered it because it sounded yummy. My sister ordered the sirloin steak with sushi. My lobster grill cheese sandwich was so gross and nasty. There was hardly any lobster and I couldn't taste the cheese. It was over-powered by whatever spread that was in there. My sister's steak was chewy and not cooked to her liking. She had ordered a medium-rare steak and it was more like medium-well. Overall the service was slow and the food we had was gross. I wouldn't go here again. The only thing good about the experience was the blue cheese fries we had as an appetizer. BTW...when we left the dining area it was still sparse and there were plenty of tables open. So the hostess could have totally accommodated us with a better seating arrangement.

A - Happy hour my ass...happy hour prices are still more expensive than most restaurants normal prices. B - Horrific service by extremely unintelligent, fake-and-bake, big-breasted bimbos who have no idea how to serve tables (although, I'm sure they could service you in other ways....just look at their uniforms) C - If you claim to be open until 1:30, then why the eff do you give last call at 12:30. This has happened to me multiple times - I get off work and go to get a drink here, and they tell me they've already done last call. Arbitrary hours?!? I've sat before for about 10 minutes before getting greeted, then had my drink sit (I can usually see it accumulating sweat on the service bar) for another 10 minutes, then ANOTHER 10 minutes will go by after my drink is empty before someone finally comes over and asks if I want another. And they're usually not that busy at all. So 30 minutes for 1 drink. No thanks, Dukes next door is significantly better in every way.

Joeys in Renton, WA just plain sucks for food and customer service. THe girls are pretty and nice, but the service and food quality is a D-. This is my 3rd time to this restuarant and each time I am more disappointed. The food is overpriced by at least 75%, and the quality is more in a Dennys range,,. I will not visit this restuarant again, and I am shocked at the poor level of food and service.

Joey Joey Joey... What can I say about you? You got rid of my favorite drink, the menu has changed, and some of your staff is quite uppity, but pretty. I feel like they rather look themselves in a mirror or text message with their boyfriends rather than serve us. I don't mind you honestly, but if I had a choice I probably would chose some other place. I've been here quite a few times, sometimes our service is quite good where the food and drinks are prompt and then there are the times where it takes forever and a day to get a waitress much less a drink. Some might think that, oh it depends on how busy the floor is, but that really shouldn't be an issue when there are 3 waitress and place is half full. The food is overall not that bad, sometimes a little drenched in condiments, but not bad. I generally get the Ahi Tacos and the Bleu Cheese Fries, if we're just drinking. If not, I aim for one of their salads. The drinks... like I said they got rid of my favorite one a year ago. =( Besides that, some of their drinks are a little weak, but they have a full bar. Overall not a bad place, the ambience is great. But, if I could choose I would go elsewhere.

Walked into Joey's thinking that it might be a nice place to have lunch. Once inside it felt like I was at Hooters, minus the bright orange hot pants. There was even a server who made me think I was visiting the Jersey Shore for a minute. I couldn't stop staring at her poof and rediculous fake tan. Wow! The lunch crowd was 99.9% men and it's not because of the good food. Infact the food was terrible, though it kind of looked pretty. I couldn't force myself to eat my salad... yeah... a salad, how bad can it be if you can't even choke down a salad?!? All of the servers creeped me out. Something tells me they were not hired based on experience or skill...

The only good thing about this place is the nice decor and ambiance. Everything else is just mediocre. The food isn't even that great and its way over priced. Never will I waste money on this food again.

"Joey" keep the drinks coming, keep running it back...Good place to chop it up and have a few drinks, especially in the south end. The food, not very cracking, more of fillers for your stomach. But let's keep it 100%, no one goes to Joey expecting a fine dine meal...What you get on a good day, is some eye candy, good drinks, and maybe some cool patrons to shoot the breeze with! Of the three "Joey", this location is probably the most chill and laid back, a place I can definitely dig!

So I finally got the chance to go to Joey's for my friend's birthday tonight after hearing about it for a while. First I'll say I love the environment. Great casual atmosphere full of young people looking good. It looks nice and modern and it has very comfortable seating with the couches and hip tables, which gives it a true lounge feel. The outdoor option seemed really nice, especially on a warm summer night like tonight. The bar looked nice and spacious. There were TV's all over the place showing the Seahawks vs. Titans preseason game. The most pleasant surprise was the first person I saw walking in being my fellow Husky Brandon Roy just chilling right when I walked in. I'm a huge fan so I'm thinking "Wow! This is the spot!" Haaa. So me and a group of about 8 were seated promptly and given great customer service through out the night. Our waitress was nice and always helpful. We were just bullshittin for a lot of the time but she never rushed us. Not to mention it seemed like all the waitresses in there were extremely attractive. That never hurts. I drunk a lot of water like I always do and my glass was never empty. As for the food, I tried a couple of items. I couldn't decide between a Filet Mignon and a 8 oz. Cab Top Sirloin but ended up deciding on the sirloin because it was $7 cheaper and the size of the Filet wasn't specified. The food isn't cheap but I wouldn't say it's overly expensive. My meal came quick. It comes with a crispy mashed potato (which was delicious) and seasonable vegatables (which aren't really my thing). The steak was seasoned really well but it seemed on the small side for 8 oz. If it was maybe a 9 oz steak I probably would have felt I got a good value for my meal. It tasted pretty good nonetheless. As I was still hungry, I couldn't help but try some of my friends' food. I normally get appetizers but none of them were really cheap per se and I didn't feel like spending $50 tonight as a broke college student. So I pretty much ate the entirety of my friend's Blue Cheese Fries. I love fries but I gotta admit these weren't the greatest in the world. Too skinny and just not salty enough for my taste. I normally don't like blue cheese but that part actually turned out tasting good. They are definitely overpriced though. I also tried some of my friends Hibachi Style Wings. Ayo, those wings were crazy good. Next time I will definitely get them as my appetizer. The birthday boy was eating the Creamy Chicken Alfredo and told me it was the best he's ever had and the reason he wanted to come here. Mind you he's a pasta connoisseur. It looked good. I would have tried dessert if they had a bigger menu. As far as drinks, I don't really drink alcohol but I had Bellini (Go head and call me a pussy). It actually tasted good and that's about as much detail as I can give you about alcoholic beverages. Took a sip of my boy's Double Slush Long Island and it was strong. They seemed to be enjoying the bar. Overall, it was a pretty good experience even if you gotta spend a lil money to get filled up. I'll definitely come back with a group or take a girl on a date here. Next time I think I'll try that pasta

We visited this new Joey's at about 10 pm on a saturday night, after picking up my mom and her hubby from the airport. While this Joey's still has some kinks to work out, the food is still solid. I had the ahi tuna tacos, which are always delicious. My honey had a chicken burger with fries, my mom's hubby had the mushroom burger, and my mom had the chicken souvlaki. Service was slow. I guess something got screwed up at the bar with our drinks. The waitress was sweet and comped the drinks, as they should have. Food took a bit, but was very yummy. My mom's souvlaki however was skimpy on both hummus and tsaziki. I don't think there was even tsaziki on it. If our waitress wasn't so good at vanishing like I dream of Genie,we would have asked her for a side of each. My mom is a big hot tea fan and got to try jasmine tea for the first time. She's hooked now. The decor of course is modern and absolutely gorgeous. It is different than the downtown location, with more whites and blues, not quite as dark. The head chef, Chris Mills supposed to be a top notch guy, did some work on the Japanese version of Iron Chef, and also prepared food at the James Beard Foundation members. If you like Joey's in Seattle, you'll like this new Joey's at Southcenter.

I stopped in here last night after work with a visitor from out of town. I love the size of the lounge in this place, its like 60% lounge and 40% restaurant. Even though the lounge is really big, its actually almost always pretty full with just the right amount of people. What I mean by that is that its full enough to have a good vibe but not to crowded, you know what I mean... Now that I've said that I also need to say that I know that is IS standing room only on weekend evenings (when I am never there) so fair warning... Anyway, what people often under estimate about this place is the quality of the dinner entree's. I had the pacific salmon which I've had 5 times before and my guest had the spiced basa. Since I am pretty sure I've review the salmon before at lake union joey's I'll stick to my guests dish. A massive piece of seasoned, blacked basa draped over a beautiful bed of jasmine rice. It came with a salsa with assorted peppers, onions, tomatoes, and a sweet glaze sauce. Sort of a sweet and spicy pico de gayo if you will... He loved it, and I loved the smell and presentation, I am definitely going to try it next time. I had a Hoegaarden which I usually love, but mine was a bit warm. It happens sometimes with beer on tap so I told my lovely server and she wisked it away and replaced it with a stella before I had the subconscious desire to reach for my drink again... This will remain my first choice to take clients for a reasonable priced meal in a trendy atmosphere while near my office. (Kent / Renton / Tukwila).

Joey spends money on image, but does he back it up with good food and drinks? Sorta... some nights.... * The Catch: The main appeal of Joey's is obviously the setting. * The Catch for the Dudes: The waitress staff mainly consists of women in their early 20s. They are not dressed in tight tights (like at Hooters), but they still are offering eye candy for Washingtonians (dudes) that don't have many other options for gazing. I once visited the lounge with a few buddies; the waitress was surprised that we were there to eat. We looked around and noticed about 75% of the crowd were dudes just drinking and looking at the women. * The Catch for the Ladies: If the drink menu could be any more girly, then anyone who touches it would be turned into a flaming lipstick lesbian. Fruity is an understatement for the drinks at Joey's. Also, the décor here is modern for local standards (I'd say aiming to be posh on a budget). * The Food: Casual American food mixed in with a bit of Japanese & Mexican! The Steak & Sushi is a great combination. The Baja Fish Tacos are always a winner. The Grilled Chicken sandwich is alright. The Ahi Tuna Salad is OK. The Evil Jungle Salad did not justify its price. The food is a bit overpriced and should be much fancier. * The Service: I have never seen a drastic difference in service among staff like I have at this Joey's. Busy night + Jasmine as waitress = fast & charming service Not busy night + another waitress = delayed & forgetful service The service is a big HIT & MISS. Jasmine was awesome, a few others kept up fine, but the last waitress just got lost. * BTW: There is NO HAPPY HOUR. Something is horribly wrong with that! OK food & OK drinks in a lounge setting with breastesses. A great option for creepy dudes who want to scope out eye candy. For the rest of us... there are other nearby locations were we can get tastier steak, burgers, tacos, sushi, for cheaper.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Joey's isn't a place you go for great service. The food is alright but leaves more to be desired. I would only recommend the tuna tacos and fries for appetizers. Drinks are good for the most part. Try to go on their special days that match the type of drink you prefer. My fave is the super sonic gin & tonic. $6 for a double done their way isn't bad. Be prepared to wait very long times for drinks, food, and any other needs for the table.

I have been here many times over the years and continue to come back. Not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere, the drinks, the incredible wait staff. It's a classier joint, with full bar and open late. The food is nothing beyond mediocre, even the steak and lobster i felt was a bit overpriced for the quality. I get better rotisserie chicken from Costco or Albertsons. BUT....the ambiance is great. Thats really all i come here for. Grab some overpriced drinks, get slightly disappointed because they don't have an all day happy hour anymore, and just Cheellllllllll. Go to drink and hang out...order some fries...and pretend to look cool like everybody else.

Super Sonic Gin & Tonic! Yup, the SSG&T! It's a double shot of tanqueray, tonic, lemon and lime, and citrus slush (basically a lemon/lime slushy). At $8.99 (and $6.99 all day on Thursday) it's a great value as well as delicious. I can't think of anywhere else that uses a decent gin, double pour, and charges less than ten bucks. Beyond the SSG&T, Joey's has a solid drink list (the AMF Margaritas are insanely awesome and strong) that includes a decent selection of beer and wine. The food is consistent with other Joey locations. The ahi tacos are by far the best appetizer (seared ahi, a delicious ginger slaw, and wasabi aoli) but you can't really go wrong with any of them. As far as entrees, they have a great selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, seafood, and steak. If you go with pasta or a salad you simply must order a slice of their gorgonzola toast! It's a pillowy, huge triangle of bread that's been smothered in cheesy goodness. The loaded mashed potatoes (mashed tots with cheese and bacon that have been wrapped and deep fried) are also a great side to go with your steak or seafood. While the food is consistently good, it's consistently uninspired. The chef who creates the menu has been a James Beard House featured chef and has been on Iron Chef Japan. I feel like he could do a little better and expand the menu to include more creative items. More ahi taco-esque items (quite possibly one of the most flavorful appetizers I've had) rather than chicken caesar salad and cheeseburgers. Servers and the hot girls who greet you are... well, hot. Service has always been friendly but occasionally slow. Ambiance is sleek and modern but inviting. Whether here for a meal or drink, I always end up at Joey during a Southcenter visit. Check it out if you haven't and be sure to order a Super Sonic Gin & Tonic!

Very classy atmosphere. DELICIOUS food (I've had their curry and tuna ahi tacos which were both completely amazing). The service isn't bad. It gets very difficult to snag a waitress even though there are several running around at once. They seem to not even glance at you (if you don't look too classy yourself). However! The waitress my friend and I had was very friendly . She would check up on us, but not too often where it got annoying. She even told us about how the kitchen runs and information on the chefs because we were very happy with the ingredients used in the dishes. The odd thing is, there are only waitresses and they're all very gorgeous, but it seems all very superficial to me. All of them are wearing black; very well-fitted clothes, might I add. They all looked very serious when they were just waltzing around (except for our waitress, she stood out to me as bubbly and sociable). If you go into Joey's, even though the dressing was said to be casual, you'd better dress at least semi-formal because you'll get a sense of reproach from the front desk/entrance women. It wasn't too bad, since I just ignored and enjoyed my meal with a friend, but I didn't appreciate it either. Overall, it was an okay experience. The best part was the food.

Joey is amazing. The food was absolutely wonderful. We started with calamari and tempura vegetables appetizer, and it was a good start. Then I had a Ahi Tuna Salad which was extraordinarily fresh and flavorful. My wife had the Steak and Sushi dish--the steak was incredibly tender with wonderful flavor, and the sushi was an oddly perfect compliment. Our friends visiting from Spokane both had pasta dishes and were similarly impressed with their meals. We had a couple double-shush Long Island ice teas on special, and we got our money's worth. To finish, we split two desserts. One was a chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream, which was good. But the other was a fresh baked apple pie with Madagascar vanilla ice cream--and it was a phenomenal, with each bite subtly different from the last. The menu is a little pricey for our tastes, but great for special occasions...and you get far more for your money compared to other restaurants that are more popular and more expensive (i.e., The Met). The staff was very attentive, especially the manager (Maria), who visited our table four times to check on us, was politely conversational and quite helpful.

Went w/ some girlfriends on a Saturday night. . I'm definitely loving the drinks. The service was on point- suprisingly. Great place to come and people watch and see people make fools of themselves. . Apparently wearing barely nothing was the dress code that night. lol. The food was not tasty. Ordered fries and calamari. It's fried how do you mess that up. . . no seasoning. blah. I'll definitely come again to drink...

Went to this location with co workers and friends, first round was fine. Closed tab (shift change) Had second one (no food), ask for check and got charge twice! Waitress tried to convinced us we had 13 drinks in one hr between 3 people (one of them less than 125 lbs). Asked for manager, who said computer had 13 drinks, settled for 9. Started to leave, hostess came over, asked if we had a good experience, we said no, said we got charged twice. and hostess said, its not the first time with this girl! At that pt, manager came over and drove us away, ignoring hostess/ other waitresses. Absolutely rip off . Avoid if you want to not being taken advantage of. Food is not the best and Ethics are absolutely at the worse.

Sweet outdoor seating. Too bad the only view was of the parking lot. What a shame! Had the best edamame ever! Sooooo good! Chicken tacos were overpriced. Highly recommend the long islands, especially on Saturdays when they are on special!

Nice and warm inside.. (many places keep it cold to rotate clientele) A good number of TV's, nice waitresses. Good place. Music is loud, they don't have the TV volume on so it's kindof weird. Couldn't compete with the streaming audio and the music volume.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, WARNING: i have had my card charged double multiple times at this place. Incompetent waitresses. Horrible customer service each time. Recently went to have a quick appetizer and drink with a friend...took them forever to 1.) bring us our water 2.) bring our menu and drinks 3.)Bring our food/drinks 4.) Couldnt figure out how to split a 2 person check 5.) Double charged me without letting me know 6.) Claimed it would take a day to re-process and adjust...its been a week now and for some ODD reason, i cant get ahold of the Supervisor that is the ONLY person who can handle any billing issues. I was charged $90 for ONE beer during HH and the Slider appetizer. That was all i had. Ridiculous. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I like Joey (I call it Joeys) because of the atmosphere and vibe. It's a good dinner spot for "hip young professionals" (whatever that means)--or dates. Along with the many times I've been there, I've had over five dates at Joeys. It's a good first date spot. Three of the guys ended up waiting for me in the exact same seat (the far end corner of the bar). Good seat for a conversation. Or you can sit in the dining area, but it'll a little more formal. The service is great...when you're ordering. So unless you're ordering drinks at the bar, don't sit there. They will give you an attitude--that will trigger your attitude. Because I don't really drink on dates, it happened to me twice. It's obvious the servers work for tip. They'll be extra nice to you if they know you'll be tipping well. And if you're drinking a lot--like the old men googling over the bartender and servers--they'll assume that you will. As for food, the food is actually good. You can't really go wrong with any of the appetizers--ahi tacos are the bomb dot com. I've had a couple of the dishes and I can't complain. The soup and salad combo is delicious for lunch or a lite dinner. I heard the chocolate cake is the ish, but I've never tried it. Good for Dates? Yeah, it's an easy go-to if neither of you can make a decision. Not really original though. Good for Girls' Nights? Yeah, I would think so.

For my first time, I went to be served by DeCarlo. He did an awesome job. He recommended the French Dip and oh my god it was great. One other person ate the same thing and loved it - the third person in my party ate the Ahi Tuna Club and enjoyed it as well. He and many other employees were attentive to our table. I will go back to this restaurant, but probably not on a Saturday night, as the seating was limited and we had to sit by the door.

This place has an awesome view and I'm not talking about the mountains. Although, there were a couple of twin peaks walking around... Joey's is sort of an upscale Hooters with a wider variety of food selections. I had the Blackened Basa which was pan fried and served with tomato pickled ginger salsa, cumin scented rice and squash. It was surprisingly tasty and the portions were perfect to satisfy my hunger. However, it is obvious this place is centralized on its wait staff. Most of the crowd were of upper 20's to mid 30's in age. Overall, I would not recommend this place for a family outing, but would definitely consider it for a guys hang out spot.

Well if I was rating places on the attractiveness of the female staff, then this place would be well off the chart and should reside somewhere on the planet 'Top Totty' But I think I owe it to all my fellow female yelpers to write something a little more objectively! The beer selection is somewhat commendable. (some European favorites) and the food selection good. The food quality was just not that great but the blow softened by the amazing scenery ;) Now the ambiance of the place is similar to crush 29, kinda loudish music, dim lighting and contemporary surroundings. I like this personally. I think this place is marketed at husbands who are thoroughly demotivated from trailing the wives round a mall whilst their credit card accounts are taking an absolute thrashing due to inflated Galleria prices. I mean if I told my wife I was off to Joey's she would probably end the shop and find me a little quicker than if I was off to MacDonald's. Would I go back? F**king right doggy!

From my first impression, I noticed a full dining crowd of all men. I sat down and realized why. A beautiful dining room, a huge menu option to choose from, and of course, an explosion of 20 something female eye candy they call the wait staff. Everything we ordered was spot on, the portions large to share, and some interesting techniques that made me go hmmmmm....even our "too cool" and somber server was attentive and efficient. I would definitely go back, I just need to bring some attitude!

This is a overpriced but good spot if you are a male. I have been here several times with my girlfriends and the service to us has been consistently poor. I worked in the food business and understand that everyone has an off day. But Joey's clearly caters to their male clients leaving females left on the sideline. When briought to the managers attention I will say he comped us some wine and tried to make things right. But we were not there to get something for nothing. We were there to relax after a hard days work and to be waited on. After our last visit to Joey's we agreed that it would be our last.

Joey's is super swanky but their prices don't reflect that. I came here on New Year's while I was on vacay with my WA friends. Despite it being New Year's, things were pretty calm. I loved the blue hues and soft lighting and the tv's weren't blaring loudly. The menu is simple and not over-crowded with a million choices like at Cheese Cake Factory. Everything was delicious but they needed some help with their fish tacos. My friend ordered them and they did not follow the tradition of a fish taco. They were a little big and had some shrimp mixed in but they still tasted good. What impressed me the most was the drink my other friend suggested I try. I can't remember the name of it but it was really delicious. It tasted like a spiked cherry-coke slushy. I had a great time at Joey's and I can't wait to go back!

So let me just start by saying that I USE to work at Joeys on Lake Union and LOVED LOVED LOVED the food. In fact so much so that after I moved away I would still come to Joeys every-time I was in town not to see former co-workers but to eat the food that I served and had come to love in my time while employed there. So with the above being mentioned I was DYING for Joeys food and decided to stop in the Joeys at Southecenter Mall...OMG!!!! What a HUGE disappointment, in fact it was so disappointing that I'm wondering if I will ever crave anything from the Joeys menu ever again. NOTHING tasted the same, the food was blah at best and didn't have any of the unique flavoring that I had come to know and crave so much. The drinks were so-so and the service SUCKED!!! I know other patrons complain about the service but this service truly was the worst, we waited FOREVER and a day for ketchup and another refill on fries that were cold when they did finally arrive. So I could continue to write another few paragraphs or so about my horrible experience at Joeys but I'm not. If you want awesome Joeys food then go to the ORIGINAL in down on Lake Union, otherwise be prepared to be disappointed along with the other reviewers on Yelp here.

i'm not impressed. their service was slow, the food was mediocre and the hawks were losing. if you're dragged in here, i suggest getting their nachos (and only if it's on happy hour) and that's about it. their fries were soggy and their bloody mary had too much pepper and not enough vodka. I wouldn't come here conscientiously, but i will come here for a beer to watch the game. But nothing more than a beer. the decor is nice and open which was great, but everything else was bland.

Stars for location, food and service. A little bit pricey and it was very dark and very crowded. We were at a small table and struggled to hear each other speak. Other than that, it was a-ok.

Decent fish tacos, adequate burgers, good fries. The Fembot waitresses are the obvious attraction here, so prepare your nose for the cheap cologne of the guys who come to ogle them.

What food? They serve food here? Service is spot on. They do a really good job. Had the same server both times, Ms. E does a great job! The food is good, had a salad both times. Creative looking for sure. I'm sure this is a very cool place for the 20-30 something crowd to hang after work.

I come from the south sound, and anyone who lives down there (Tacoma) knows we don't have to much to offer when it comes to upscale locations. Joeys is my favorite spot lately, I love the all day drink/food specials, and I love that the Southcenter location is quite a bit less pretentious than any of the other locations. Yes everyone is pretty, but they are also nice and helpful. The food is great, and cocktails are quick, just what I like for a Friday HH.

Joey's is your typical trendy bar with the modern decor and dark lighting. I'm used to the pretty petite waitresses that are slow and can barely spell M-E-N-U at other Joeys restaurants, but I have to admit the Joey's in TUKWILA has a really good staff. The service staff is always there to open a door, deliver another round of drinks and always available when our table needed something. Whoever the manager is for this location needs a raise & hopefully will spread his knowledge of great customer service to his other associates. The Bleu Cheese Fries, Ahi Tuna Salad & Baha Fish Tacos are always a winner for a quick bite. The Bellini is also delicious if you don't mind a bit of a brain freeze.

Lamest Happy Hour EHVAH! Okay, so I've been hearing wonderful things about Joey's happy hour for a while now. So last Thursday we went. That's about all the good I have to say. When my amazing cute date arrived she asked for a glass of red. They brought her a glass of 14 hands wine. This is during happy hour. You'd expect a suggestion or maybe a wine that was on the happy hour menu since we were sitting in the bar. NOPE! They brought 2 glasses of 14 Hands and charged $14 apiece for them. At least it was easy to remember. I would have preferred some 5 Hands. Call me a cheap date, I guess. Here's what they've done. Instead of a happy hour menu they now have a food special of the day. That day is was the Lobster Sandwich. Sounds terrific except that I'm allergic to lobster and rather than risk anaphylactic shock for the sake of a good bargain we drank up and headed over to Duke's where we had a couple of wonderful and wonderfully cheap apps and amazing mojitos, blueberry lemonades, and yummy bread (the bread is free). If you have to eat at Joeys just to look cool you're not going to find a cheap way to do it. ONE CHOICE AT HAPPY HOUR??? Define "Happy". Sigh... I'm here for you, Kevin P.S. And you're not looking cool, just pretentious. ;)

Meh... Go to the Bellevue Joey instead I was excited when I saw there was a Joey Restaurant in Tukwila. But, it's a pale shadow of the Bellevue location. The dining room is small if you don't want to sit in the bar. And there's a weird banquet type sitting area in the middle that takes away needed seats. The decor is a silly faux 60's/70's retro with extensive use of those concrete blocks you probably held your bookshelves up with in college. Seating has always been frustrating here since their dining room is small to begin with and I seem to wait while open tables sit inexplicably empty. This has happened multiple times. Food is good and reasonably priced. See my Joey Bellevue review for more. ** On the plus side, had awesome service from server Gina there the other night. If it was all Gina's I'd up the review an additional star **

First time, we got greet by three females hostess at the front doors. We got pick between dinning room or bar area. Of course we turned to the bar and have a table that directly across the open bar. I opened two hot bartender! (a star). We greet by a lovely waitress (a star). The food is average, but I like the dessert (a star). They need to put a curtain at the main entrance to block the wind, there few cold chill blow inside the area after they open the main door!! I guess the manager is not from the cold weather area... haha

How can you go wrong with Joy's??? It's not the downtown Bellevue one (AWESOMENESS) but it fits the bill when you are staying by the airport.

Met up for pre-dinner drinks and appetizers here. Trendy little spot with great patio to eat, drink and enjoy the sun... Had the Blu Cheese Fries with some beers. I honestly love blu cheese by itself or with somethng, so I thought these would be good. Honestly, I don't know if it was the greasiness of the fries or ???, but seriously it just didn't work for me. Service was decent, but seriously think the waitresses tend to cater more to the male crowd due to the tips they think they can get... I'm not gender biased, so male or female... if service is decent, then they get a decent tip... Prices are so so... It could become expensive depending on what you order.. Sure, I'd go back here if in an area, Southcenter, that doesn't have too many other places to offer for a Happy Hour or pre-dinner drinks, but going to their other locations I would seriously consider since there are many other places in Bellevue and Seattle.

I hate this place. Everyone talks about how great it is, but the three times I've been there... they have messed up our orders. Every damn time. Yeah, the waitresses are nice but my boyfriend and I prefer to have our food ready within 30 minutes not an hour. I am unable to have a joyous experience at a place when our bellies are hungry and we wants ze food. The only reason why we went back is because they kept giving us a gift card as an apology for their bad service. Never will go back again, no matter how delicious the chicken tacos were.

The food is great, but the music is way too loud. I asked them if they could turn it down and they said they couldn't. The Baja Tacos and hamburger sliders are the best.

This is my new favorite date night spot! Everything here is SO DELICIOUS. Hubby is happy with the huge steak selection, while I can't get enough of the salmon and crispy mashed potatoes and anything with lobster in it. The sushi is really good and the pastas are TDF. I love how I can satisfy a craving for Italian or Asian comfort food here. I just wish they expanded their dessert options, something more on the lighter side after eating such indulgent food.

If you do come here, it's probably best to dress up a tiny little bit. I came in with yoga pants and a hoodie. And my shoelaces were untied. Everybody else were either in business attire or club wear. Oops. I love the décor (modern trendy) and the wide variety of dishes they offer here. The steak ($17 for the lunch portion) was great and the "fish" tacos were also surprisingly good (Contains both fish AND shrimp, came in a set of 3). The lobster (part of the surf & turf dish from the dinner menu) was a real disappointment however. It was overcooked and rubbery. Service was great. Enter and you're automatically greeted by at least 2 people. Leave and someone will open the door for you. The waiters were great -- friendly and spunky. I even caught one dancing like a mad man. Thanks for the show.

Really good food, I had the pork dumplings off of the appetizer menu. As most other review say, a lot of sexy servers/bar staff. Food and atmosphere are both good, and the people watching is a bonus.

Obviously the wait staff here is NOT for my viewing pleasure, but they always manage to take my order and bring my food without any serious mixups, so I won't comment on their inappropriate clothing. Ahem. The menu here is new American with plenty of international influences, though only of the tamest varieties. Their Ahi Tuna Tacos ARE TO DIE FOR. Nom nom nom...wasabi sauce...nom nom..tuna...nom nom...crispy taco....They only give you 4, so if you're like me and hate sharing them, order them for yourself. It'll save you the embarrassment of having to rip one out of your friend's hands in your hunger for them. They serve mashed potatoes in little egg roll wrappers with the sour cream, bacon, and chives on top. It's rather interesting and also very delicious. I usually just order a side of their potatoes in addition to the tuna tacos as my meal, and I'm nearly always satisfied. The ambiance is kind of confusing because the dining room and bar are set up with "private dining parties" in mind, but there are big flat screen TV's all the over the place turned onto ESPN or something equivalent. I guess you can watch a sports program, eat good food, and ogle at women who could still very well be in high school. This place really IS made for men, so I suppose the patterned carpet, clean-lined tables, and plush chairs are there just to distract us women for the time being. So long as I get those damn tacos, I'll be happy.

Although I dont mind the atmosphere here and their drinks but one bad experience with their waitresses will do it for me. Came here with a group of 15-18 people for my brother's birthday and things were going fine until the waitress & the bar manager on shift at the time came by to offer the birthday boy a couple of round of drinks. The waitress and bar manager offered the drinks, brought them out, drank with us and then charged us for the drinks! Who does that? If you offered it, you pay for it or cover the cost. AND, they did this for two rounds. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is the worse marketing scheme possible and will not be coming back for awhile and will follow up with a letter to the restaurant manager.

My husband and I went here after watching a movie at the AMC in the mall. We didn't know what to expect. We didn't want typical mall food, so we chose this place instead. Walking in, the decor seems like it would belong with a more upscale/ pricy restaurant. But its actually pretty relaxed. We didn't have to wait for seats, but we chose to sit in the bar anyway. They have the same menu in the bar as in the dining room. I ordered the 1/2 chicken and a side salad instead of the fries. The chicken had good flavor, but they drenched it in a brown gravy that wasn't so good. One I scraped it all off it was better. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and the server and bartenders were very nice. Since I substituted a salad for my fries, I thought there would a charge or "no substitutions" but neither was the case. I was happy. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if I'm in the area, and hungry I would stop in again.

OUR server wasn't there at all! Asked for a water it never came, she had an attitude when someone informed her that their meat wasn't cooked all the way. I guess I am just not a fan of crappy service, food was good though.

Wanting to not like Joey's because it is actually an international chain and basically a classed up hooters, and actually not liking it are two different things. What is really wrong with a hooters, but all in black and slightly more formal? I do like it. I go to the one in Seattle quite a bit, and I like the new joint down here in Tukwilla, too. The food is consistently good. They have real vegan food- the menu is marked with items they can make vegan, and with a few tweaks, you are good to go. I like the modern decor and the cheesiness of the whole thing. And they have a ton of wine, which wins me over every time. I will say though, it's not a family-targeted place, so skip this it if you are with the kids. They won't have quite as much fun as they would at the Rainforest Cafe across the mall, and neither will you.

this was just a bit disappointing... it looks comfy on the outside! we wanted to try something new for happy hour so we thought of Joeys! the happy hour menu was not very impressive at all! there were maybe 4 or 5 food items for happy hour, none which sounded very appetizing at the time, the drink selection for happy hour was oki but I still ended up ordering a drink off the regular menu as well as the food. the food was pretty good, we shared a salad and a french dip which were yummy! the waitresses were very friendly and attentive which of course was a plus! a couple of things I really enjoyed most was my bellini which was so yummy and refreshing and our molten lava cake for dessert which oozed rich warm chocolate sauce in the middle! YUM!! I'm not sure if I would come back again for the main courses but perhaps for the dessert! I think I just set my happy hour expectations a little high for this place!

We eat at Joey's Southcenter for lunch at least once a week. The food is great, the service is well executed and the staff is...well...gorgeous. I've never seen a nicer looking group of women in a working in restaurant. Hooters doesn't even come close!

Ok usually expensive places lose multiple stars but Joey's takes exception. 7 days of drinking deal kicks serious ass. Friday and Saturday the supersonic gin and tonics are specially priced and a couple will get the job done. The service is good. And for more than just one reason... It is a little much but meh... Worth it.

Super-nova's please! That is my most favoritest drink at Joeys. It's refreshing and will make you keeping coming back for more. I usually get it with a splash of strawberry puree. I come here all the time after work and my friends and I would sit at the bar. You get served better and faster if you sit there. On a Friday, I suggest you go there super early. The bar is packed so you'll be lucky if you can grab a seat. The girls there are super nice. The bartender girls are even nicer and they'll hook you up on drinks! But you must be sitting at the bar. My pet peeve however is if someone is by themselves, and there a bigger group of girls, he has a booth all to himself while they're waiting..... Haven't really tried the food yet...only the fries and salad. Usually will just come here for the drinks. We once asked the bartender if she had heard of this one drink. She hadn't and looked it up online and made it for us. And then didn't charge us because she said she didn't think it tasted right...however, she's never had it before. lol.

Okay, Okay- so the food isn't PERFECT, but who said this was an eating place? First off, if you go here, ask for Julia to be your waitress- then tell her Sean from Yelp told you to do it (she's a high school friend, don't be creepy)! So aside from my obvious bias of the amazingly good looking girls that work here- the drinks are excellent. I hate Duke's (and you can go read about my experience there) and so naturally, this is the place I go when I pull up to South Center, valet my car, and want to go grab a drink. The food, well, I'm not a HUGE fan of this food- but if you like upscale burgers (i.e. burgers on french bread), then this might be your spot. While I admit, there are some good items on the menu, the majority of them are not exactly for me. I will admit, they are likely pretty good; just not my flavor. A tip to guys here, make sure you dress nice when you go here, otherwise you may feel a bit uncomfortable. But none the less, everyone is happy and nice, the bar is cool- and it's a pretty chill place. If you're looking for an alternative to the CRAPPY cheesecake factory, check this place out- better food (I think) and MUCH better drinks and atmosphere. And DO NOT FORGET ABOUT JULIA!! PS - Don't bring your kids here, unless you want people to throw food at them. Just saying, the patrons of this place don't appreciate stuff like that...

I have to admit, this place has grown on me after a few visits. First, among the things I don't like so much. the shots of Patron are in a tiny shot glass, pretty much one measured ounce, for 10.25. *ouch* The interior decor is HILARIOUS, it looks like what the interieor of Southpark's "Club Persh" would look like. kind of what someone who wears warm-up suits as formal wear might picture as a "classy joint" Very "Jersey shore" in it's execution. But the decor is bad enough to be amusing in a kitchy sort of way, and the waitresses are pretty hot, even if they have that aura of sadness that comes from having to display so much of their secondary sex characteristics to meet the dress code, I have found the wait staff to be attentive when I have been in (usually a pre-movie drink) I can't imaging taking the whole thing seriously, but as performance art-meets-bar I give it a thumbs up.

Very modern stylish and upscale decor. Waitresses=pretty girls in black dresses, must be a mandatory upon hire? Gets packed with good looking folks that either work at the mall or near by. Sorta looks like a fashion show with models? The Good looking guys come to oogle at the good looking waitresses, and the good looking gals come to look at the Good looking guys. So I would say it's a tad bit meat market. BUT not raunchy. More Meat market w/ beautiful stylish sorta people?! if that make's sense?! I've been more then once. Cozy on down by the fire place & have some beverages with the girls? and or bring a small group to a booth & have a few drinks? More of a lounge. Haven't eaten there. The cocktails are tasty but not cheap!

I met a friend at the mall for some girl time and we ended up eating here. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was REALLY good and they have Hoegaarden! The chairs were a bit uncomfortable but then again, I am short so most of the time my feet don't reach the ground. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was super tasty. The fries are good- like McDonald's good. And yes, I mean that as a compliment. I haven't eaten McD's since childhood but I still remember how good they were. One thing I noticed was how the wait staff are all very good looking. It was as though they were all made in the same pretty factory. Not that this will hurt their business. Quite the contrary! Plus, it was great service.

This is one of my favorite spots to visit in the Southcenter area. They provide a good environment to hang out and drink especially for guys. The food is good but some things on the menu can be a little overpriced. The drinks too are over priced and can be run up your bill, which is why I gave them a 4 star rating as oppose to 5 stars.

Hum... so went there for dinner as a suggestion from my friend. She did say that menu was different from the Seattle one and at one point wanted to leave (don't know, maybe she was looking for something specific). Anyhow, we decided to stay. We just tried the chicken sandwich and burger. It wasn't spectacular but it wasn't bad either. They do give you a lot of fries that aren't bad either. Since she wanted to leave, I was kinda leery about ordering anything else but the "you really can't go wrong" choices. We sat at the patio and it was nice but slightly chilly. I was disappointed that they did not offer us the blankets that we say them offering other people (or turn on the heater). Joey's would have gotten a 3-star, had it not been for the sub-par service (also it took the waitress forever to get our check out! and I rarely complain about this aspect).

I like Joey's. I am always reasonably satisfied eating here...and this location has a much better interior than the others in Washington, in my opinion. It is however a bit smaller. I enjoy the fact that the menu here is different and that they offer the vanilla apple mojito (which isn't really a mojito bc there isn't any rum involved, but that's besides the point..i still like it). The service here is definitely lacking in comparison to the Lake Union and Bellevue locations, but that would be my only complaint.

My first time at Joey in Southcenter. I was confused entering as there is a bar on both sides. I chose the emptier one. I decided to eat at the bar but most of the seats were taken so I decided on a table for two near the bar. Once I sat down at the table my hostess jumped in to ask me if I was going to sit at the bar. Which seemed to put me on edge about taking a table at a nearly empty area. Anyway, she accommodated me with a menu and told me it was okay. I felt like I was dining in an Abercrombie store. Everyone on the staff was beautiful looking. Now I understand beautiful as I'm a photographer but I still felt uneasy and rushed. The food was mediocre and I didn't receive what I ordered. I tried to order the Baha Fish tacos and the Ahi Tacos came to my table instead. I like Ahi but my tastes were south of the border that evening. I didn't want them to go to waste so I ate them. They were alright. The staff were friendly once I apologized about sitting at the wrong table. Would I come back? Perhaps with a camera to take pictures of all the beautiful people serving there. Food? 3 stars at best for what I had.

My boyfriend and I decided to go to JOEY, when we found out how long the wait was at The Cheesecake Factory. We got right in, and the hostess was friendly. I looked over the menu for quite a while, nothing really look all that great. I finally decided on the lobster ravioli. I asked the waitress if they made them there, or if they were frozen. She said she was almost positive they were not frozen, and they were one of the best things there. So I ordered them. My boyfriend got the french dip. His sandwich was cold when he got it. And my pasta had hardly any sauce, and there wasn't much there. I am a very small eater, and ALWAYS have leftovers, but I ate everything on my plate and was still hungry. The atmosphere is really nice, as long as you dont have some 5 year old in a halloweeen costume jumping around next to you the whole night, while her mom pounds margaritas. We will not be going back for the overpriced, below average food.

Went for drinks and appetizers. The service was wonderful, the waitresses are, how do I say this, aesthetically sound. The ambiance was great - clean, very contemporary. Ordered the calamari - wasn't a big fan of how small the cuts were, more like squid-bits. Also, had nachos and pizza, but really didn't care too much for either - small portions might I add. Drink service was fast, the waitresses also do a wonderful job at gaging how intoxicated patrons are - they don't prematurely cut you off. Aside from being a bit pricey, and the appetizers being lackluster, my experience was enjoyable.
