Great service, great food, very size able portions. Would definitely come back. We were seated quickly, waited on quickly and the food arrived quickly even though they were very busy. They had more to go orders than sit down dining, but their service to the sit down diners did not suffer at all.

Came for lunch with my mother in law. We chose this place based on yelp reviews. The lunch buffet was very limited. So we ordered off the lunch menu. It says lunch comes with a soup and appetizer. Neither of which were our choosing. We got hot and sour soup- which I can't eat. The appetizer was a fried chicken wing- I expected an egg roll. The chicken wing was gross. For lunch I ordered cashew chicken. The flavor was decent. The food was hot. WAY too much celery. I asked for fried rice instead of steamed rice- it was an up charge of 1.50 (Ok I understand) However, the fried rice was barely warm- not fresh- I saw them take it from the lunch buffet. We will not be returning.

Go to place for Chinese! Great buffet for price. Tiny selection but very delicious. Fantastic place to do lunch if short on time. Eric provides great service, and Benny, the owner, has a great place.

Not only is the food great but the people are so kind. Today I stopped in for a quick lunch and took notice of a homeless man who had come to the door. He was quickly greeted by an employee who escorted him out and engaged him in conversation. When the employee came back in I questioned him as to if he fed that man and he told me they did. Everyday instead of throwing food left over away they feed this man. This is such a wonderful small restaurant that is doing something great.

Always good food and friendly service. We love that all their food including the potsticker's and eggroll's are made in house fresh daily.

I am beginning to question this place cleanliness and the workers personal hygiene. They started off with good food but now have gotten bad over the months. They are thawing their meat in the back hallway on the ground that they share with ups. The last trip really gross me out. There was hair in our fried rice and hair on our cups sitting on the table.

Just a great hole-in-the-wall Chinese place. Been coming here for dinner for 10 years now. The food is amazing- service is friendly and fast and whether you eat in, have it delivered, or carry out, it's a great value. Haven't tried the lunch buffet, but I hear it is good too! Part of me hopes this place remains a well-kept secret so that I don't have to wait for a table.

Read the reviews so thought we would try the lunch buffet. The buffet was limited. So we ordered off the menu. Upcharge for fried rice which came from the buffet. Soup and appetizer came from buffet as well. None of it was warm. Ordered Kung pao which was labeled as spicy. It was sweet but had lots of shrimp.

Absolutely love this place. Best Chinese food in Kitsap county. We eat here regularly but we have it to go or delivered at least once a week. It's fantastic. When ordering to go you get enough food to feed 3 people with one meal. I won't go anywhere else for Chinese.

We ordered lunch from them, because they had so many good reviews. We ordered appetizers, four entrees and chow mein. We were so excited to try it, but as soon as we got it we knew something was up. It smelled bad, like rotten vegetables. We could barely eat it. All of it tasted tainted like it was baked with rotten cabbage. We were so disappointed. There are hundreds of choices between silverdale and bremerton, I'd choose somewhere else to eat.

When left to fend for myself, my favorite meal of all appears to be Chinese food...it doesn't matter if it is dine-in, take-out or delivery...I like Chinese food. I have perhaps dined in most if not all, Chinese restaurants in Kitsap County, but it has been some time since I've enjoyed the Mandarin Restaurant. Tonight I felt like delivery, so I ordered Chicken Chow Mein...lots of veggies, some chicken and a great sauce. I also ordered Pork Egg Foo Young...not bad, I've had tastier... then of course I "need" hot & sour soup. My meal arrived hot...very tasty...quick delivery...and at an agreeable cost. This restaurant is owned and operated by Bennie and his family, along with two local gentlemen that have worked with Bennie for quite a number of years. The restaurant has been a success for perhaps 15-20 years. That speaks loudly for the meals that are prepared and the level of customer service. Awesome...easly a 5-star...!!!

Delicious! It's hard to find a decent Chinese place around here, but this one satisfies our needs. Anytime we deliver, it always comes hot as if we ordered it in the restaurant. The restaurant service is always friendly, and helpful with the menu. We always get the pork fried rice which is amazing. We've tried the sweet and sour chicken, the sesame chicken, and much others and everything has always been very good! It's a little hole in the wall restaurant near Pizza hut and UPS. I highly recommend giving it a try! Food: 5/5 Appeal: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Overall: 5/5

Made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner and were so glad we did! The service was exceptional and the flavors of the quality dishes surpassed our expectations. I cannot say enough about the taste. We had two appetizers - egg rolls & egg drop soup - and three main courses - sesame chicken, broccoli and chicken, & Mongolian beef. Every dish was a delight and the portions were plentiful! All this and two 1/2 carafes of wine was under $50! If you want Chinese in Kitsap, you must eat at Mandarin!!!

  • BK J.

Grabbed some takeout from Mandarin while staying nearby. Egg rolls were good, but the oil probably needed to be a bit hotter as the skins were oily. I like that they were vegetarian (which was not mentioned on the menu). Also got the szechuan shrimp and really liked that there were a ton of veggies in there. The sauce was a bit on the sweet side but not too much so. The quantity of shrimp was generous. My only regret was that I was not offered any hot mustard with my egg rolls, which was offered to someone who phoned in an order while I was waiting.

I have got to say, for the past year of me living here in Washington all Chinese food has disappointed me. It's always horrible and bland but this is the only restaurant that is actually pretty good!! I definitely recommend this restaurant! Although I don't like how they charge for delivery, it's kinda worth it

Is this traditional Chinese food? No. Is it flavorful, excellent, well seasoned American Chinese food? Yes! The service is excellent! The staff is friendly and thoughtful. The restaurant is clean with a great ambiance. The food is great. The chicken is crisp. The vegetables are fresh and have the perfect amount of crunch. The sauces are superb. The egg drop/flower soup is perfect. I came for the lunch buffet and it was the best lunch I've had in quite awhile! I'm coming back for sure and bringing friends! Oh and did I mention how amazing the prices were. This place has it all!

Wow. Coming from Alaska I have had American-Chinese food ranging in quality from great (Dutch Harbor) to horrible (a nameless food store chain). I had looked at the reviews for this place while I was in the area and noticed that this place had some very good reviews on Yelp. Amazing. The General Tso chicken was crispy and seasoned well, the mu shu pork was good as well. I was pleasantly surprised that the general Tso was crisp, usually the feel is mushy and squishy. Loved it! Enjoy the pictures I took!

Are there two Mandarin Chinese restaurants in the area? What's with all the 4-5 star reviews? We decided to order Chinese and this was the only place that delivered, when it arrived both of our hot and sour soups had spilled (slightly, thankfully it was in a bag). Not that it mattered, it was inedible anyway. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken and I ordered chicken broccoli, neither of us were impressed and he didn't even eat a fourth of his meal before he gave up on it. But hey, they have really good fortune cookies and they delivered quickly so that's nice. Next time we'll get off our butts and go somewhere else when we get a craving for comfort food.

I had to think really hard about how to rate this place. Took me a couple of hours to increase my rating from two stars to three stars. Had high expectations after reading a number of reviews and in the end was horribly disappointed. The fact that the service was fairly quick and the servers were somewhat friendly were about the only positives that immediately come to mind. While they tried, it was obvious that the entire staff needed additional training. They were on cell phones, yelling at each other and disorganized. The portions were fine, however the food was average at best. Kind of get the feeling that the Kitsap area lacks a decent chinese restaurant and the locals are used to settling for food that deserves two stars on a good day. Definatly a one and done.

  • Michelle H.

I am appalled at the service of this place. The man taking my order over the phone LITERALLY yelled at me when I couldn't understand what he was saying. I do not recommend this place to anyone who doesn't want to get verbally abused.

Came in late right before closing time was kindly greeted. They quickly made my takeout order. Kindly gave me tea as I sat down and waited. Over all amazing food at a good price and good friendly service.

Fast easy ordering - never a disappointment! Whether it is take out or dine in, this place is tops!!

  • Jeremy W.

I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and quality of the food even after having high expectations from reading all of the Yelp reviews. This is much better than the Chinese food I've had from places lately in Seattle. We ordered four entrees and Wonton soup. All were good. Very friendly staff as well. Thankful to have a new option for dinner in Silverdale.

  • Jason P.

Mediocre, at best. I assure you that I will not frequent this establishment again. Overall, just a disappointing experience. Pot stickers were gross. Generals was not very good. Chicken chow mien was so-so. Beef and broccoli was gross. However, my wife liked the sweet and sour sauce that came with the egg rolls, and my kids enjoyed the fortune cookies. Don't believe the hype! Just because this might be the "best" in Kitsap County doesn't mean it's any good. Because it's not. It means the Chinese food in KitCo sucks. And it does.

  • Vincent G.

The food here is great. It's been over 10 years since I last ate here and I was expecting things to be different. The staff is very friendly and will gladly make recommendations on food if you ask. By far one of my favorite Chinese Restaurants in Kitsap County!

This is one of those times I would like to give half stars, I would go 3.5 if I could. I feel like Mandarin Chinese Restaurant is caught between two identities. If it were not in a strip mall I could see the food standing up to a full service restaurant, the kind of Chinese establishment that I loved going to as a kid. The layout and amenities suggest a cheaper spot for fast grub on the go. This seemed to be the case during our visit as we were the only ones eating here, although a good dozen or so to-go orders were handled during our visit. The food was good, a little heavy on the oil and the sauces tasted a tad bit bitter (makes me wonder if the dreaded MSG was a factor), but the leftovers did not last long at all, and when it comes down to it isn't that what it's all about? I will be back, I want to try a few more of my usual favorites and see how Mandarin Chinese Restaurant does on our second visit.

  • Miranda T.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered delivery, and it took over an hour to get here. The food was terrible. I mean not even edible. I ordered chicken chow mein, Mongolian beef, and pot stickers. The pot stickers were edible, but by no means good. The other two dishes? They are in the trash. There was a weird underlying flavor, and something was definitely wrong with the meat. I would have been better off just throwing $30 in the trash can.

Showed up shortly after 12pm for the lunch buffet, and this was one of the only times I've ever left a buffet still hungry. Seating was prompt, and once we got up to grab a plate, I was able to behold the sparse, desolate wasteland that was this buffet selection. The chow mein and fried rice were both in low supply; the noodles and rice were both cold, and the rice was crunchy. The unidentified chicken entrée was dry and tasteless (no, it wasn't sweet and sour without the sauce). The sweet and sour chicken looked pallid. The broccoli beef was barely broccoli and hardly beef. All of the entrées were nearly wiped out. The egg drop soup tasted like nothing. It was literally void of flavor. The only items that were worth anything were the items that may have come from Costco: chicken wings and the egg rolls. Those two items and the tea are the only things keeping this review at two stars. If you want a buffet, there's a much larger one with wider and better selections down the street.

  • Melissa M.

My family has been eating here since 1998 when we moved here and the food has always been great! They have the BEST egg rolls, The BEST Hot N Sour soup and the BEST chicken wings.. The rest of there food is really delicious as well. The lunch buffet may be small to many but the quality of the food is what matters and the price has only gone up by $1.00 in the 16 years that I have been going there, you can not beat $6.95 for AYCE lunch buffet that includes your drink. And if you go on Fridays they even have tempura shrimp in their buffet.. I highly recommend you try their lunch buffet if you have not yet, I guarantee you will be hooked...

  • Holly B.

The service was amazing. Super attentive, and very pleasant. The food though, left something to be desired. The eggrolls were very greasy, the "4 star" kung poa chicken was bland with more celery and peanuts than chicken. Like another reviewer said, you could get the same thing at Safeway

    (2)
  • Usa G.

This is some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had! I ordered 3 dishes and all of them were equally bad. .. even something like kung pao shrimp which I love and have always considered a safe dish was simply awful and quite frankly, didn't even taste or look like kung pao shrimp. Will never eat here again!

  • Danh N.

This place is indeed strange but strange in a good way. As mentioned by another person previously, the place seems to be ran by a couple waiters who are very friendly "middle aged" white guys. It's kinda funny actually LOL The service is always good and the Chinese food is surprisingly good for Kitsap.

  • Wiz G.

I tried the Chicken Egg Foo Yung and the Sweet and Sour Pork. I have had better at a lot of places. The Egg Foo Yung was rather tasteless and could have used some salt. The sweet and sour pork deep fry batter was dull and droll. On the whole, it was a disappointment.

Just discovered the Mandarian Chinese Restaurant and have visited twice in last two weeks. The food was good, portions were large. I especially like the Orange Chicken. Ordered the General Tso and it was also very good. Staff was friendly, restaurant seemed clean. Highly recommend!

Went in for dinner with the family last night. They were very busy, but had two tables available. The host / owner told us they were taken and asked us to leave because there is no waiting area. Needless to say we left and will never return.

  • Rich L.

Three very good stars! I have high standards for cheap Chinese food. It's the best place in the area if you don't want to do the King Wok. The Happy Family and the shrimp fried rice is really good combo.

    (3)
  • Shirley H.

Ate there last night after checking reviews. It was possibly the best Chinese food, we all agreed we ever had. The only complaint we had was that it was so good we ate way too much. Will definitely go back.

  • Tara D.

Stopped by for the first time last night for dinner-was very awkward at first because we didnt know we chose our own seating and we were the only ones in the restaraunt. Regardless the staff are super friendly, and the food came out quick. Large portions-great deal for your money. Orange chicken is amazing as well as the curry chicken. We found our new chinese place!

Well, this food was basically inedible. I ordered chicken chow mein, wonton soup, General Tso's chicken, and egg rolls. The only thing that had any flavor was the gelatinous mass they called a sauce on the General Tso's, but it didn't taste appropriate. It wasn't spicy, and it seemed that whoever was cooking the food forgot entirely that salt is most often a necessary ingredient. The only things in the entire meal that were good were the won tons, though the broth itself tasted like hot water. Literally no flavor. So I ate won tons and threw the broth out. The chow mein had no flavor. Greasy noodles with chicken that was fried, but not in any kind of sauce, that I could sense. No salt, no pepper, no ginger, no garlic; there was literally no flavor. Inedible. I tried to order dumplings, or potstickers, as they call them. I was told it takes 30 minutes to make them, plus they were all out. The guy taking my order basically told me not to bother. I was told it would take 45 minutes to deliver. After an hour with no food delivery, I called asking where my food was. They told me they had to cook a dish twice because they had screwed something up in the ingredients, and yet the person on the phone with me acted as if it were my fault that 1) they screwed it up and 2) they were then late and 3) I was definitely irrationally angry because everyone knows when you say 45 minutes, you definitely don't mean it. (Read part 3 in a voice dripping with sarcasm, please.) In all, I will never, never, ever order from them again. I'm flabbergasted that they have so many high reviews. I can only assume that the people who reviewed them so favorably are either relatives, investors, or people who have never had a proper Chinese meal in their lifetimes. PS What type of Chinese restaurant has never heard of lo mein? Seriously, I'm flabbergasted.

Great place, food and service is very good. Benny the owner greets everyone and is a very friendly. The lunch buffet is also an excellent bargain. The best part is they deliver to my house. I would recommend giving this place a try, food is always fresh.

I ordered delivery AND first time with this establishment. It was AMAZING! Not only was my order correct, it was HOT when it arrived at my doorstep :) I wasn't the only one who was satisfied! My order was for a family of 6. My kids were very pleased! Hopefully, we can eat-in next time. I'm sure the staff is friendly. My delivery driver had a smile :)

  • Jared C.

I've been eating here about five or six times a year since 2004. It has always been pretty good, until recently. It seems like the owners have tried to make the dishes with cheaper ingredients, with poor quality results. My wife usually loves the cashew chicken. Tonight it was terrible. The cashew shrimp was very salty, and bland. If there were other options in town, I would recommend those, but since there are no other Chinese eateries around, I recommend staying home.

Rude on the phone. Hour wait. No food an hour later. Gave up on waiting for delivery. These people are not getting our money.

Great staff and the lunch buffet was terrific. Very fresh veggies... They were delivered while I ate and I watched the family check the garden fresh green beans! The chow mein is amazing and I love the Hunan Chicken. So good! Great prices for what you get!!

Been looking for decent Chinese food since. Moving here April of last year... Well this was way better than decent ... It was amazing!!! Service is superb and our food from the egg rolls to the cashew chicken and Mongolian beef was very tasty and super fresh!! We will be back... Often!!

  • Mel O.

This place is kinda strange to me, but my beau really likes it. Portions are huge, most of the food is pretty good, and the service is friendly...this isn't the strange part. The strange part is that it seems like the place is ran by middle aged white guys. Not to say that there aren't chinese people in the back(i've seen a cook pop his head out from the back...he was asian-ish)...just that the majority of the time when we have our order taken or our food brought out, it is by husky middle aged white guys. Well maybe middle aged is a bit harsh...let's say they are probably 30-45 age range. One guy is a bit younger. i have no problem with this fact...actually, bully for them. It's pretty cool that they have found a place in job that's prevalently dominated by 20 something year old girls. WAY TO GO! Actually, this is more of a 3.5 review. The only reason i am giving 3 instead of 4 is because the last time that we went my food wasn't all that amazing. The kung pao tofu was disappointing. Not that it's always bad, I always order something new...it's decent, not amazing. 3* on a bad day and close to 4* on a good day.

Visiting my dad we decided to stop here after seeing the awful reviews on olive garden and the good reviews for this place! Good Chinese food! The usual! The service was good too staff was friendly and prices were cheap! I would come back here again!

Great prices, friendly staff and good food! Will definitely return! We came during the linch buffet, selection was okay ... again food was good. Place is clean with about ten tables.

Great, friendly, quick service. Food tasted fresh and hot. Had the orange chicken, pork fried rice and broccoli beef. Small, clean interior. Bathroom used as bathroom and storage area with a case of garlic? Odd!

  • Tony B.

I like the food here. Great portions. Tastes like what I'm used to for this style of food. In Kitsap County, it's probably my go to place for Chinese food. The only problem is, if you order pot stickers for an appetizer. It's not really an app. They make them fresh to order, so it takes a while, but it well worth it! BBQ Pork fried rice is also very good from here! They can be a little short with you on the phone. But, really I don't want to talk for an hour. I just want my food :)

  • Becky G.

This is closer to a 3.5 star review. We called in a to go order and it only took 15 minutes for our food to be ready. We weren't sure of portion sizes, since this was our first trip. Portions are huge!!! He brought out a box filled with food, I was shocked when I realized the box of food was our order. We ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken, 2 order of egg rolls, 1 order of wontons, and 1 order of pork friend rice. Sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls were typical flavorings, but good. The wontons were just fried wonton strips, we thought they had cream cheese in them, so that was a negative. The pork fried rice was really bad. The pork pieces were huge and did not really resemble pork in taste or appearance. The staff is really, really friendly. We don't really crave Chinese food often, but when we do we will probably give them another try with some other menu items.

This place was delicious. We came in about half an hour before they were going to close (total faux-pas, but we're fast eaters!) and they were still 100% gracious. No stink-eye! My boyfriend and I ordered garlic chicken and broccoli beef. The garlic chicken was amazing; just the right amount of sweetness with the perfect amount of crisp. Now, don't think I mean chunks of chicken that are 10% chicken, 90% batter. I mean they were 99% chicken, 1% batter. I'm not even sure it was batter, but they had just the slightest crisp on the outside, despite being covered with just the right amount of sauce. The broccoli beef featured really fresh-tasting veggies. They weren't all wilted or nasty. The beef was also perfectly tender and the sauce wasn't overly-thick or hideously sweet. Good portions, tasty food, great service, really reasonable prices (Garlic chicken was only $8!). Super satisfied! EDIT: Just tried their mongolian beef, and it was WAAAYYY too sweet for me. I wouldn't recommend it, as it's a bit more watery than most mongolian beef recipes I've had. I will say that this is just my taste, and I'm pretty sensitive to sweet things, so I'm not changing the five stars. :)

Excellent chinese food! The portions are big and wonderful. I love the kung pao tofu. The fried shrimp are to die for. Everything I've had here has been great. They also deliver which is a life savor for us. We don't get our chinese food anywhere else now. I've even converted my parents..lol also the service is always excellent!

  • Michael S.

This restaurant has yet to disappoint. Whether take out or eating in, the quality is always tops. Service is beyond reproach and the quantity vs cost is welcoming in these tough economic times.

    (4)
  • Laura C.

Mandarin Chinese Restaurant is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Kitsap County! We usually order broccoli beef, sweet and sour chicken and pork chow mein. The veggies are cut in big chunks and taste fresh. Each dish has generous amounts of meat. Eating at the restaurant is even more pleasurable ever since they remodeled (several of the tables used to sit on a platform?).

    (5)
  • Lee K.

The place was small and the service seemed mildly friendly. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was on par with most restaurants but the dipping sauce was a thick gelatenous mess. The General Tso's chicken was sub par, lots of breading and suspect meat. The sauce for the general tso's lacked any real flavor. We will drive the extra 25 minutes to Port Orchard for the best chinese food in the northwest, Simon's and Golden Grill on the Bay.

Good friendly staff 5 stars. Food is OK. Location hard to find. Decor is outdated. We will be back because of the staff!

  • Sam S.

This place is v. tiny, small, miniscule. The most repeated words heard here are "excuse me..." I ordered take-away, per usual, and found a chair that was in front of the cooler, so every few minutes I had to shift as someone fetched a cool one. As I waited I noticed that the waiters were constantly emptying platters of uneaten food into the "canine sacks" to take home. This is because you get beaucoup food here - the proverbial trencherman's portions abound. This is good because the food is just that. I haven't been disappointed yet. Staff is quite friendly (probably due to the close quarters) and they do have a few booths for in-house dining so you can admire the cheezy decor as you eat. Good food at affordable prices and you get two meals for the price of one.

    (4)
  • Michael R.

Great food, huge portions, friendly staff and the price is right. The family meal for two will actually feed four or plan on having Chinese for your next meal, too. I'm never disappointed when I feel the need for some Chinese food.

  • Mary Kate C.

Sometimes it's delicious, sometimes it's average and sometimes if just nasty. Not a fan of crossing my fingers before I take my first bite of orange chicken. On the flip side- the egg rolls actually ARE consistent and very delicious! The last couple times we went, I just got the egg rolls. They are delicious.

Yay! Thanks to Yelpers, I have finally experienced good Chinese food in Northern Kitsap county and not a moment too late. To celebrate the start of the Olympics we though "why not have Chinese"? That thought quickly soured when we reflected on our other experiences in trying to find good Chinese food. Yelp to the rescue! Looked at Poulsbo and Silverdale and decided to give Mandarin Chinese a try based on the reviews. Although there were not many, they were enthuastic enough for me to give it a try. Yes, the place is small and yes the tables were all almost full - Good sign. Sweet and Sour pork, BBQ pork fried rice, Egg Foo Young and Garlic Veggies were ordered for take out. All in all, everything was quite good although the Garlic veggies were kinda lacking any personality. I will have to try the Potstickers as I can attest to them being made up fresh. One man was making up the dough, another the filling and a couple of ladies and a child were stuffing them and crimping them closed. As the governator says, "I'll be back"

    (4)
  • Neill S.

In my opinion it is the best Chinese in the area. It has been here forever and is a family run establishment. My wife loves the shrimp fried rice and the beef and broccoli. My personal favorites are the chicken chow mein and the Mongolian beef. I haven't found a place that compares in taste especially for the price in Kitsap county. The one time that I received a questionable dish on takeout my wife called in to ask about it and they promptly offered a credit due to being so close to closing time.

The foods pretty darn good but the dude that runs the place is kind of a jerk. I have yet to order from here where this guy doesn't rub me the wrong way. He cuts you off mid-sentence, doesn't want to explain what something is when you ask and talks down to you if you didn't like something. First time I ever ordered from the place I ordered the BBQ pork. Every single place I've ever ordered BBQ pork from (its only my favorite) its the kind that's slow cooked in the sauce. Their version is cold with BBQ sauce on the side to dip. That's fine, no big deal, but when I brought it back to ask if maybe it was the wrong kind of pork and get a substitution he was a total D-bag. The only reason this place gets more than 1 star is cuz the food is still pretty good. If that manager guy had some basic manners I would have given them 4 or even 5. Too bad

I am a recent transplant from sunny southern cali and tonight was the first time I got a really strong craving for some goooood Chinese food. So not knowing this area too well yet, I came onto yelp to aid in the search and decided to go with this Mandarin Chinese Restaurant. So here is my decently documented experience ordering take out (after reading the reviews I decided that I didn't want to sit my 4 person family down in what was previously described as a tiny restaurant, and it was a damn smart decision as they were very busy). When I called I was greeted with a thick accent that was dripping with hospitality, I appreciated it very much. How often can you say that it was pleasing to talk to the take out order dude on the phone? Anyways... As I ordered the guy would repeat my order in mandarin(assuming it was mandarin) to a lady who immediately started my order. Which was cool because it was all packaged nice and piping hot ready for me to take home in 13 minutes when I arrived. We ordered pork fried rice (damn good), vegi chow mein (just damn decent but only because I like the noodley part and this was a lot of veggies), shrimp lo mein (hubby ate it by himself but said it was great), sweet and sour pork (I was a little surprised that it was fried pieces of pork with nice big pieces of veggies but I have to say it was very good, even my picky kids loved it), and a bunch of egg rolls (which were FANTASTIC). Oh also, the sweet and sour sauce (delicious too) was separate from the pork and I guess because we also got the egg rolls they gave us a friggen enormous tub of sweet and sour in it's own container. It was way more than we needed but I was much happier in that scenario than not having enough. I was a little bummed that they were out of pot stickers for the night because I really wanted some but it was about 730 so I understood. All in all we were very happy with the experience and plan to go back. Tip in case you've never been- it's in the same parking lot as the Safeway gas station on the corner of silverdale way and bucklin.

So I have driven by this place for years and never checked it out. Tonight I decided to give it a go and call them up for takeout after reading some reviews. It turned out to be pretty good! The food tasted fresh and had good flavor - the egg rolls in particular. We ordered the Vegetable Delight, the hot and sour soup, and General Tso's. The vegetables were fresh and according to my husband, the chicken dish was very good. And the hot and sour soup portion even though we ordered a small was huge! :)

Yelp reviews helped us find this restaurant and we are now fans. Great staff, great food and wonderful jasmine tea. Our go to chinese restaurant in town.

Really nice staff, everything is made right there in the store, sodas are like 1.50 and the chicken is really good.

Pretty good Chinese food - my family and I go here a lot and we get a few dishes and share them - there's enough in about 3 dishes to satisfy four people and still have leftovers. We used to go to another place in Bremerton but their quality went downhill, so we've been pretty loyal here when we want Chinese food. My favorite dish is the hunan beef - I'm not a big fan of spicy food and it is spicy, but I'll deal with the pain to eat it lol. I've never been disappointed with their food. If you go between 5:30 and 7 PM parking can be difficult because they share spaces with other establishments.

This place is small but that just makes it cozy. I had Almond Chicken one day and the buffet another. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would recommend to anyone.

We have eaten here a number a times and for the most part the sauces were fine. However, and this is the key word, however, the sauces for the Pepper Steak, Orange Chicken/Shrimp, General Tso's Chicken are never the same. But they do have the best Egg Drop/Flower Soup around also Egg Rolls. Service is really polite and on point.

Customer service is the worst. Restaurant is ran by a few 300+ pound middle aged white guys who think that you owe them for visiting their restaurant. when i walked in, and the manager said "what do you want?" in a condescending tone, i should have known this place was going to suck. I didn't even get to the food, thats how offputting the staff is. I didn't want to eat next to a huge sweaty guy talking about me to the cook while i'm sitting within earshot. Extremely unprofessional, i had no choice but to walk out. I'd recommend this place for kitchen impossible but they don't even deserve to turn this place around. If the staff keeps this up, they're just going to crash and burn and the next place will take over. I can only hope that they're left with tens of thousands of dollars of debt after they fail miserably. by the way, walking across the street to the safeway gas station and buying 2 liters of soda for 75 cents, and then selling them for a buck 50, real classy.

Based on these reviews, my husband and I ordered carry-out from this 'restaurant' and were sorely disappointed! The staff was Very friendly (LOVED THEM), but the food was terrible. We ordered the egg rolls and sweet & sour chicken based on the online recommendation...NOTHING to write home about. I looked to the fortune cookie as a possible meal highlight, but even that failed. I don't know where these other reviewers are from-- is this the ONLY Chinese food they know?! If you've ever had quality Chinese cuisine (heck, I'd even go for PF Chang's!), this place will NOT suit your fancy. However, if your taste buds have never experienced the glory of fine Chinese dining, perhaps you'll be a regular here :-/

My husband enjoyed the egg drop soup and my daughter enjoyed the chicken chow mein. That was it ... mongolian beef and kung pao chicken are not supposed to be breaded and fried. Both were indicated on the the menu to be "spicy". Neither actually were. We just moved here from California and tried this place based on the other "yelpers" and I'm hoping this isn't the best chinese food in the area!

love the food here! it is always good! we enjoyed their sweet and sour pork and their homemade sweet sour sauce they serve w/the fried eggrolls. the veggies always tasted fresh not frozen. we had tried and loved the following dishes: wonton soup, any of the sizzling platters, mongolian beef, general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, and pork fried rice. this place is small and sometimes busy so call in your order and pick it up or have them deliver.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
