Yum! The pizza was delicious and the crust was cooked just right! Great size too, I think they were 18 inches a piece, two pizzas was too much food for 4 people, but so worth it to get to have two types! And I'm sure the leftovers will be great! The Mac and cheese that my friend got also looked amazing!

Conveniently located right next to the movie theater at Northgate, my boyfriend and I decided to get a few drinks before our movie. The drink list was very extensive and the prices were reasonable! Out of the 15+ beers on tap I tried two local IPA's which were both delicious. Really wish I could give a half star because the only reason I didn't give this 5-stars was because the pizza slices were grabbed before the movie weren't great. Overall though they were still yummy and did the trick. Would definitely go back anytime I'm in the Northgate area!

I really love this place!! Tonight was my third time eating here! Each time I've had a very positive experience. Tonight we came in for dinner and a drink. They have a great beer and cider selection and they seem to be constantly updating their selection! Tonight our server was Adam and he was completely AWESOME! One of the best servers I've had in a long time. He was so friendly (introduced himself to us and asked our names etc...), accommodating and helpful! When we were ordering we were trying to decide between two pizzas on the menu -- the Meat Head and Macademik (a pizza that has mac and cheese on it!!), Adam let us know that we could do a half and half pizza, so we did!! It was a great decision! I especially loved the Macademik pizza and plan to come back and have it again! The pizza is HUGE! My boyfriend and I ate about half of it (the slices are really big) and took the rest home. I have had such great experiences at Watershed and highly recommend it to everyone! Also, they host a lot of different events throughout the month. They do trivia every Tuesday and sometimes have brewery nights and occasional live music. I haven't been to any of these events YET, but I really want to check them out!

Came here for happy hour on a Thursday (starts at 3pm) with a large party (greater than 10 people) and we got seated immediately. There wasn't anybody in the pub at the time. Drinks: I wanted a light ale and was open to suggestions. Apparently it was our server's first day and although he didn't know the beer selection very well, he recommended the Alaskan White Ale. It was smooth and not too hoppy, so I have to give him props for his suggestion! Food: Right when I saw their happy hour menu, I knew I had to get the half grilled cheese with tomato soup. Been craving this for awhile and there's this one place in San Diego called "Bread and Cie" that has the most amazing grilled cheese/tomato soup combo you will ever have. This place wasn't as good but it definitely satisfied my craving! The cheese was gooey and the tomato soup was creamy and delicious. Some places I've been to tastes like their tomato soup is out of a Campbell's can, so at least this place has some legit tomato soup. Some people in my group got the margarita pizza and the garlic sticks, which weren't anything special, would not recommend getting it. Service: At first, the servers were very attentive and came frequently to check up on us. They gave us good recommendations but as our visit progressed, they came less and less frequently. When we asked for the bill, they were kind enough to split the check (which apparently they don't do if they're busy, but since they weren't that busy, they made an exception). We waited for half an hour, literally, for the checks to come and a few of us needed to leave ASAP to make it on time for work. Overall: 3 stars for their subpar service and their mediocre food. Definitely have had better, but obviously we just came to get a few beers and weren't even thinking of getting food.

Came here expecting pub style food as it is called a pub. It's great if you want pizza... The menu is limited other than pizza. The drinks are mediocre. They don't have anything with chicken or turkey and there is no burger on the menu. I would come back if I wanted pizza and only pizza. Maybe beer or wine I would not order a cocktail again.

This is just what the Northgate shopping area needed! I have been here three times now and have been pleasantly surprised and pleased each time! Their pizzas are 18" huge and definitely good to share. Plus they let you half/half it if you are vegetarian and trying to share with a carnivore friend! The salads are also ample in size and fresh-sourced farm to table yummy! Beer selection is great for everyone - gluten free? Check! IPA? Check! Planning on seeing a movie at Regal? Come here first to get your $9 tickets - regular price over there is $12.50 for evening showings! Then come here after for $1 off a drink for everyone in your party - just show your ticket stub! In the back area there's a place for live bands to set up and play on Sundays and when they aren't there you can play darts. Music selection has always been on fleet of you ask me. Last time I was there they played all the good stuff from Weezer's blue album. The time before that they played the Fleet Foxes, Cold War Kids, and the Dodos. Looking forward to coming here many more times in the future!

We came here on a chance one day when we noticed the sandwich board outside, and I'm glad we did! We've probably been about half a dozen times now. It's hard to surprise me with beer selections but Watershed always does. The first time we visited they had my covered Cigar City Brewing on tap - I'm originally from Florida and miss Cigar City desperately and was over the moon to find it here. Even after that visit I'm always very pleased with the tap selection, which my rating of a location majorly depends on. The pizza and pizza folds are some of the best pizza I've had in Seattle. The pizza fold selection appears to constantly be changing, which is good and bad - good for new things to try, but then when I find one I love it may not be there next time! Every time we go to the Northgate area for errands or movies, we go to Watershed for a meal. I highly, highly recommend it.

Food is decent, nothing extraordinary though. I think I would recommend it for beers and cocktails over the food. I ordered the hummus with pretzel sticks and caprese plate. The hummus did not have a lot of flavor and the pretzels were not that fresh tasting. The caprese plate also did not have a lot of taste. I think more vinegar and oil was probably needed. I ordered a cocktail, it was something like a raspberry basil... something.. I wish I could remember the name... It was listed on a table tent. It was really good. Very refreshing. They have a lot of beer, wine and a lot of unique cocktails. I like the decorations - beer taps and beer glasses.

Pizza was pretty good but ordered online and was informed that the order would be ready in 20 minutes. But, when I got there exactly 20 minutes later, was told it would be another 10 minutes. Then, 10 minutes later, I was told that one of our pizzas needed to be re-cooked. So, 10 minutes later, finally left with our order.

I really love this bar/ restaurant, and wish I would have ventured in sooner. The food is fabulous, fresh and they incorporate locally-grown and owned items. The menu includes weekly farmer's market specials (chicken corn chowder with Washington potatoes is one current item I recommend), great salads and pie folds (a smaller version of a calzone). Staff are very friendly and helpful and always provide a taster if you're not sure what you'd like to order with beer and cider. They also sell tickets to the nearby movie theater, which is cool.

Northgate scored with this place. Beautiful interior, pretty solid beer selection. Menu looks like mostly pizza & calzones. It is vegetarian friendly. Their Happy Hour menu was solid. We tried the pretzel and it was DELICIOUS! The cheese sauce was a little odd (cold on the warm pretzel) but not bad. Service was fast & friendly. Looked very family friendly.

Great find, friendly atmosphere. We ate brunch, and were thoroughly impressed with the selection, the food, and the service!! Sorry we missed it before. If you're in the northgate area, don't settle for a chain, come check this place out!

The experience that my girlfriend and I had at Watershed when we went there for brunch on Sunday was truly bizarre. As we were parking the car, we were worried that we might have to wait a while if the restaurant was crowded with other brunch-goers. However, once we stepped inside, we were relieved to see that the restaurant was a little less than half full. The hostess said that she'd be back to seat us shortly. We waited about 10 minutes. During that time two groups of diners finished their meals and left the restaurant. There were about 10 tables occupied out of what I'm guessing is about 25-30 tables in the restaurant. We counted one hostess, one bartender, and three servers in the dining area. All the while, we sat patiently on the bench by the door, the cold air rushing over us whenever a group of customers left. After the 10 minutes , the hostess came up to us and said that the kitchen was "slammed" and that we'd have to wait about twenty minutes more. We both did a double take. Here are the immediate questions that came to mind: 1. How is the kitchen "slammed"? The restaurant is huge and there are only about 25 customers. 2. Why won't they seat us? Even if the kitchen is running behind, we could have still been seated and served drinks. That would only take a minute for one of their servers to do. We've never experienced anything like this. It is one thing to be told that the wait is 20 minutes when all of the tables are full and there are customers ahead of you on a list. It's another to be the only waiting customers in a mostly empty restaurant that seems to have plenty of staff working. Clearly, Watershed does not want customers at their brunch. Everyone should oblige them and eat elsewhere.

A brand-new place in an area that barely has enough old places. Very nice to see it here. It's a serious beer bar that you can visit strictly for the food or just to relax. They deliver for the beer geek and they deliver for the locals and passersby as well. This is brand-new construction, and will probably always seem like "the new buildings" to me. Northgate had plodded along forever with lots of empty space around it, and even after they added the transit center it seemed to take a while to pick up speed. Now there are multiple movie screens and hundreds of apartments and condos right around here, and the new density of development gives the area a hustle and bustle that hadn't been here in my lifetime. This mall was something of a hub back when shopping malls were the new thing decades ago, but in the 80s and 90s and 00s, these blocks were crying out for some development. For once, people came in and built a bunch of necessary, high-density stuff without steamrolling something historical and cool. And the result of all this work is a space that can keep something like Watershed humming with activity. Make no mistake about it, though. This is not just a thrown-together "concept" place contrived to take advantage of some high-visibility real estate. Veterans of the beer industry built this place, and they built it to cultivate discerning regulars, along with succeeding among the locals. I keep harping on the development, but there were never multiple floors of apartments full of people right here before, so there's the potential for a ton of foot traffic here. Makes it easier to think this place can stay viable for quite a while. You will definitely notice when you get here that everything is new. Shiny new concrete ramps and steps outside, big new wooden door with fancy metalwork, brand-new interior that looks no younger than the exterior. There are rows of tables and then there are rows of stools at the bar. Not a huge space, but there are two full walls of floor to ceiling glass, so everything feels bright and airy. The staff are super nice. They're because they know what they're doing and they love it, rather than just flirt with customers and make tips. But they're friendly and fun, too, so it's kinda the best of both worlds. The menu runs to pub grub, with lots of burgers and sandwiches and pizzas. They also have pizza folds, or pie folds, which are calzones that are open on the edge rather than crimped together. I had one of those, and it was damn fine. My boy C had a Caesar salad, which looked really good, and a side of toasted bread, which was OK. The focus here is not exclusively on beer, but they certainly do focus knowledge and effort on the taps. There are about 20 of them, along with I think at least some wines. The taps range from dependable stuff most people might like up to some really interesting specialty items. They had just finished an imperial stout festival when we came in--"Black and Brew." 15 imperial stouts pouring. That's definitely a specialty item not aimed at the casual interloper, and they got some really nice kegs to showcase for it. It's a small space, so many of them were still pouring by the time we got there. Prices here are pretty fair, and they pour a proper beer through clean lines into correct glassware. I really dig what they're up to. Rumor has it they do some very nice beer pairing dinners as well. I will definitely be back again and again, especially given that they have such an easy location and so much parking.

First timer! Sat on the patio and you couldn't even tell that I-5 was a block away and a big mall and Industrial complex surrounds the place. It's like a little heavenly oasis! I had the asparagus/prosciutto salad and a basil peach mojito! It was delish! My friend had the breakfast pie fold. Everything was top notch quality! The staff was attentive and friendly. Excellent place! I'll be back for sure!

My friend and I came here for drinks and I am sorry to report that the Winter's Rose was pretty bad. I am no cocktail expert so I thought it would be a rare day when I found a drink I thought was very bad, but this was it. The Winter's Rose has gin, st. george spiced pear liqueur, lillet blanc, thatcher's elderflower liqueur and prosecco so I was pretty excited since I like all of those things. It sounds like a delicate cocktail but it was a giant cocktail that was way too much alcohol. The flavors weren't balanced, the proportions were off, the temperature was far-too-lukewarm and it was downright undrinkable. I asked them to add some club soda, which made it bearable but ultimately, I left it unfinished. We polished our trip off with a decent slice of comfort pizza and headed out. :(

Stopped in here for a libation while we waited for our show time to get a little closer. While we didn't eat, the food we saw and smelled was appetizing. It's on the bottom backside of a shopping/apartment complex. Not my ideal type of restaurant, but I am sure it works well for the hungry/thirsty folks milling about or living overhead.

Stopped here for a late dinner on a Saturday night. 21 taps with a well rounded variety - a little something for everyone and lots of local brews. I ordered the "award winning" grilled cheese. Beechers cheddar and house made beer bread? Don't mind if I do. Delish! The hubs had the carnitas pie fold. Super yummy! Entrees come with either soup or salad, I could've gone for some fries, but not a deal breaker. The red wine vinaigrette was tasty, but the salad could've used a few more toppings (besides cherry tomatoes), maybe some croutons, onions, cheese...something. Overall though, the food was really good. They have live music on the 2nd Saturday of the month, which we were lucky enough to stumble upon. Loved the atmosphere of this place, super friendly and casual. We will definitely be back!

I've never acquired a taste for beer, so I don't indulge in the brews. However, I do love the root beer on tap. Beers aside, the pizza is outstanding. The pizza crust is one of the best I've had in the city. The seating is a little uncomfortable and the acoustics are a bit loud, but well worth it for the food & drink.

I remember coming here when it first opened, I think we came the second day it was open. Service was hella slow but the food was good and the staff was warm and friendly. The menu was very limited but they had a ton of delicious beers and cider on tap. I waited a while before coming back (about 2 months)... Wow they really improved. The menu doubled in size with appetizers, salads, pie folds, and of course pizza. They also had an extensive drink and beer menu, as well as a happy hour menu. I liked that the beer menu was so detailed. It listed the beer, where it is from, if it's on draft or not and the alcohol percentage content. My love ordered the Nitro IPA and I opted for the Seabreeze Happy Cider. The Nitro was very flavorful and had nice warm fruity flavors. I loved my cider, not too sweet and very refreshing. We started with the Everything Plate for an appetizer. This was a charcuterie plate that consisted of two cheeses and two meats served with preserves, fruit nuts and baguette slices. They gave you a VERY generous portion of everything. Our plate had a Gouda cheese and a Rogue blue cheese. The Gouda was okay but the Rogue was delicious. There was also the most delicious hot coppa and prosciutto. I found the strawberry preserves, strawberries and grapes served with the plate were a bit random. The grapes were went well with everything but the preserves were a bit too sweet and the strawberries did not go well with the plate not to mention they seemed a little mushy and wrinkly. The baguette slices were hella dry but the candied walnuts were delicious. Definitely not the worst Charcuterie plate I've ever had but I probably wouldn't get this again. I think it would've been better if it was served with a delicious butter or some good olive oil and balsamic. Oh and better bread! The bread was really really dry. We ordered the Caesar Salad and The Ricotta Salsiccia with pesto instead of red sauce. Hands down one of the BEST Caesar Salads I have ever had. The dressing was sooo light and fresh but full of flavor. It went perfectly with our pizza which was freaking delicious! First off the pizza was HUGE, they only come in one size here. The pizza was wonderful. The ingredients were extremely fresh and bursting with flavor. I was glad we opted for the pesto instead of the red sauce, it just went perfectly with the ricotta in the pizza. The crust was perfect! Not too thin but chewy and crisp. Sooo delicious!! They should make breadsticks out of this dough! All in all it was an excellent meal and we had a great time. Service is still very warm and friendly but also a lot faster than how it was when it first opened. The food and drinks were fantastic, sure the charcuterie plate could've been better but everything else was basically perfect. I loved how roomy and clean the restaurant was too. Great ambiance, a couple more tvs wouldn't hurt though. I can see myself watching many football games here. I read some reviews about it being too expensive here which kinda boggles my mind. For the quality ingredients and generous portions you get with the food here, it is extremely affordable. For a pizza that size and quality you would definitely be spending more than $21 at a lot of other places in Seattle. The salad we ordered was HUGE too and it could have easily fed 3-4 people, a steal for $8! Good Service, Great Food and affordable. We can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu!

Very beautiful entrance graced you arrival, many in our party commented on the beautiful door and fixtures. The interior is heavily decorated with bright and dark woods, and look above to see the beer and cider pulls that adorn the top. We cannot really comment on the service, as we were a birthday party with staff of the Watershed in our group. We had a MONSTER 3 foot pizza of varied toppings, very yummy. The sauce and thin crust were what sold it for me. Their fare is very diverse and thus we grabbed another pizza and salad to take home. Ordered the Caramelle Pancetta and Spring Greens salad, the salad was absolutely amazing, filled with fresh, red strawberries (not the white, flavorless ones) and pickled red onions. The candied walnuts and feta were beyond plentiful :) Had a lovely cider and shared beers, too. Will be back again.

My wife and I came for lunch. The hostess was very friendly and recommended the Optimus Grind, a pie fold and grinder hybrid. Our server was also very knowledgeable and helpful. I went with Optimus Grind partially because I just wanted to say it. My wife had the Beechers Mac and cheese. The food was delicious. We are picky with quality and we ended up sharing each other's order. We both decided each dish was both delicious and well prepared. My wife also tried a soft pretzel and a raspberry cocktail. The pretzel was crispy on the outside and warm and chewy on the inside. The texture was perfect but we decided it lacked the pretzel taste. Still, it was well done. She also loved her cocktail.

Really cool environment and excellent staff. The drinks were very tasty! For me the food fell short though. There was very little flavor and the bread tastes like cardboard. I was expecting a little more...

Food was good and staff was nice. There was a huge corporate party going on which is why I call it an "ok" experience. The A/C was on so high (or low depending upon how you look at it) that I was super cold the whole time. I'll give it a 2nd chance when I'm in the area and bring a sweater! :-)

I like this place. The staff is friendly. The pizzas are good. The drinks are good too. When it's sunny, the deck with it's communal seating is very nice. I wouldn't say anything in-particular would drive me there except for the deck on a sunny day. If I am in the neighborhood though, it is first on my list.

The Watershed is such a treat. In the middle of the ever crowded shrinking urban spaces this place is roomy and comfortable, modern, yet its theme doesn't yell at you. I love the materials and to me, it's so cool to see real wood! Maybe that's a Pacific Northwest thing? The tables are made of it, the chairs and doors, and big slab cuts of it adorn the place, but not overly. It's got a new Northwest aesthetic with a tip of the hat to tradition. There's a spacious public patio just out the front door and ample parking in the garage. This is a big one for me! I love the city but parking can and often is an expensive pain. The owners are super friendly and gracious hosts. We held an event there in the loft area where we had around 30 attendees and we ordered a variety of their pizza's and salads for lunch. By the way, I totally enjoyed their pizzas... They aren't the great big heavy greasy (a ton of fake cheese) chain pizzas. They're light and each is handcrafted and I really liked the Mama's, Roma, Finocchiona, and the Ricotta Salsiccia. It was a real treat to sample several. They all have a really nice balance of different textures and flavors and the crust is divine. Hey, I was one of the event creators so I got to taste almost everything if I was quick enough to get there before it was gone! I'm looking forward to my next visit. Soon, I hope.

Hard as heck to find. Stick it out though as I think it is worth it. This place came up in a search I did in my local neighborhood, so I wanted to give it a try. It took me about 10 minutes to find it as there is no sign, and it is not near the other restaurants in that area. Look on the SW corner of the building near the creek. Anyway, they have a great selection of rotating beer taps, and the bartender was both nice, and knowledgeable about the different beers. I ordered their soup of the day, which came with a great piece of cheesy bread. Both the soup and the cheesy bread were quite yummy! The pizza's looked really good too. It is a nice place to just hangout in a low-key environment, and has free Wi-Fi. Give it a try!

Updates: - expanded menu including a DELISH mac and cheese - brunch on the weekend! So much value, large portions of food for your dollar. - kids menu added - kids coloring page is cute - they just won BEST NEW RESTAURANT from Evening Magazine's community-voted Best of Western Washington! With all the good press this place is getting, I expect they will be around for a long time. Give it a try. Or a second try. If you've had a poor customer service experience, mention it on the way in the door. A restaurant open less than a year is certain to have challenges and something to prove.

Great atmosphere, horrible wait staff. The first waitress we had was passive aggressive and would just stand in front of the table waiting for our attention. She also refused to engage and would only ask, as if bored, "anything else?". After she clocked out the next waiter was friendly until the check was split incorrectly and a member of our table heard him cussing us out. Unprofessional and rude. Also, we waited for twenty minutes (so far, maybe more) for the correct individual bills. The waiter seemed intent to punish us for their misunderstanding.

The atmosphere here is a good size and very comfortable. A good chill place to grab a beer and food that isn't too pub like or overly classy. I've had both their brunch and their pizza and I think they're pretty tasty. The selection of toppings or type of food fits my tastes. Their cocktails, on the other hand.. Let me say this, all of their menu item descriptions suit my tastes perfectly. I was SO excited to review their drink menu because everything sounded like a drink I'd love to order. HOWEVER - I've never had a cocktail here that I've liked. They've all tasted extremely bitter and one noted. The ingredients all sound amazing, but the balance is just not there. On another positive note, however, service is always extremely nice. I've never had a poor customer service experience. In the end - good place to get food and a beer - especially before you catch a movie. I suggest avoiding the mixed drinks.

The best pizza! The waiter and waitress is super nice and they serve the best pizza. It takes quite long to get my order but it is worth it since everything tastes so nice. They also have this outdoor sitting which is perfect in the summer. I love how it is right next to the apartment complex which is easy to get by.

Stopped here for dinner and a drink before catching a movie next door. It's a nice space with plenty of seating and a north facing outdoor patio that probably gets good sun. They have a good beer selection on tap, I think it was close to 20 different beers. They also have darts which is a huge plus for me. All of that was great, however the food was just ok. We had the grilled cheese (super oily) and mamas spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were ok, but the past and sauce didn't have much flavor. I know they claim to use San Marzano based sauces, but COME ON the tomatoes can't do all the work, you need to season those suckers. Needless to say we will probably come back for drinks again before a movie and give the pizza a shot.

Not impressed. Came here for lunch and sat in the bar. My boyfriend ordered an Alaskan Pale Ale from the menu, but the waiter said they didn't have it and recommended the "Snoqualmie". So my boyfriend told him he'd have that, only to have the waiter tell us it was a root beer. Why would you recommend a root beer in place of a beer? We ordered Caesar salads for lunch. The chicken was good, but the lettuce was mostly shriveled up, soggy, moldy looking and inedible. Nobody ever refilled our waters, they were standing at the bar chatting with a friend and showing each other Twitter posts on their phones. Won't be coming back.

In town on business visiting a company located nearby Watershed Pub, and therefore I ended up having drinks/dinner there one day and lunch the next. If I lived in the area it would definitely be in the regular rotation for the friendly atmosphere, interesting menu and great beer list. The area is so cute and Watershed fits in perfectly. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Interesting menu and mix of items. Extensive beer list that is somewhat overwhelming to a person like me, who likes beer, but isn't an afficianado. However, my dining companion is, and tipped me off to which options I'd like and that I could get tasters of whatever I wanted. So that helped narrow down and get me a great beer. The food that I tried was all good - especially liked the chicken saltimboca pie fold even thought it was a little on the salty side.

Loved it. Really. I've driven past here so many times and always thought of stopping in. Tonight was the night. We've been in Seattle for 9 years, searching for our go to pizza place. Growing up on the East Coast we were pizza spoiled and haven't been able to find a decent East Coast type pie here. We have finally found it! The crust is just right, chewy and flavorful, not too thin and not too thick. The toppings are fresh and the sauce is tasty and not overwhelming. The pizzas are huge, definitely not for one person. My husband had the "award winning" grilled cheese and tomato soup which was also very yummy. Great comfort meal ! The rest of the menu looked really good, I'm looking foward to coming back to try some other dishes. Nice rotating tap, even if not the largest selection. The space is warm and comfortable with lots of wood, tvs for watching sportsball, or a collection of board games if you want to play while waiting. I've seen some of the other reviews about service, and maybe it's because it was a Monday evening, but our service could not have been better. Our server Joshua gave us tastings of some of the beers we were deciding between, helped us with menu choices, and just could not have been more on top of things. So glad we came in, definitely won't be the last time.

Update - ok so there isn't a Mac and Cheese bar at this time, but it's on their menu and it's wonderful! The tap selection continues to be top notch and they frequently have beer-centered events with local brewers and special menu selections. If you haven't checked out The Watershed yet, get in there!

Holy moly. I LOVE this place! It's a gem hidden amongst the dull/gross chain restaurants sprinkled around the perimeter of the mall. The owner used to work at the Fiddler's Inn in Wedgwood so they definitely know their stuff! The beer selection is amazing and the food is to die for. Tip: order the Pão de Queijo - these amazing, chewy, delicious cheese balls (they're better than I'm making them sound). You're welcome! On top of all that, the ambience is really cool. It's like cozy industrial chic with carefully selected bar/beer-related décor. Thoughtful, not tacky. Bonus: they have a large upstairs area in case you ever want to get together with a big group!

I'm basing this on the service. The food was decent, we had a group (6 top), the gal kind of slow? It was cold, wet and rainy. We waited quite a bit to get our food order, It all came out at once and they ran out of salami for one of the pizza's we had order, so we opted for bacon. But the bacon was kind of burnt. How the hell do you over the BACON!??! ITS BACON PEOPLE!!! Ugh, fine I'll deal. My husband ordered a pitcher of beer to share and she didn't bring an extra glass (their were three of us sharing the pitcher so I had to share the pint glass with the hubs.) By the time we got the extra pint glass the pitcher was nearly gone. I asked for a refill of hot water, never got it. Maybe she was still recovering from thanksgiving? Either way, not if we will be returning...

Dear Aloha Beasely- let us count the ways you turned our white Gap t-shirt night into a wild Hawaiian floral extravaganza evening! At first I thought you were poisoning me with the wine but then I realized we were both immune to the idocane powder. We laughed and exchanged jokes, emotions and money, but I will always remember the Beasely who made our night at Water Shed. From the "princess bride" wine roulette, to the jokes and laughs from your wonderful persona, thanks for making our experience a great one. P.s. The pizza was good too

Stopped in here with my son for a first visit. I must say its damn impressive. I had a BLT that was made with their pizza dough and an amazing garlic aioli. Frickin thing we delicious. My son had the Mac and Cheese and loved it. I started my meal with a Caesar sales. Amazing as well. The ambience caters to adults and is more of a pub. 90% of the seats are for bar patrons and 10% for the non-drinkers / under 21 crowd. Staff was on it and friendly. Highly Recommended!

First of all, I am a sucker for real darts, so major points for that off the bat. Secondly, I love a rotating beer/cider list. Thirdly, I love good food. I went to Watershed for their Alpenfire Cider Tasting and GF Food pairings, and what the experience!! For $50 pp (including all taxes, gratuities, food, and generous pourings!!) we were treated to one of the best tasting menus I have had! The staff was generous with the rounds of cider, and Alpenfire is not your run of the mill grown up Martinelli's. Alpenfire uses the finest ingredients like organic apples, and their rep was fun and knowledgeable. The Exec Chef and Team nailed the pairings--crispy cider with Cajun jerk pork--heaven! I was thoroughly impressed with the plating and quality of the ingredients--seemed way above what you may think would be "pub food." My BF and I decided we will definitely be attending all of these pairing events, and I will continue to come check out their robust, diverse beer menu, and play some darts. Check it out, this place has great energy!

While sitting here on the patio on a nice day you might forget you're at the corner of Thornton place. Park at the park and ride or NW 5th for 2 hr parking. Great rotating beer selection and food reminiscent of nearby Fiddler's Inn. Came by for lunch and took advantage of their pizza slice and salad $5 deal, and a nice Chucanut Kölsh to wash it down. House made lemon salad dressing, crispy hand tossed pizza. What's not to love??

Great beer selection, great service. Ordered the Optimus Grind. Wasn't that crazy about it though. I don't know that I would eat here again.

Watershed is truly an oasis in a desert full of mediocre chain restaurants near the Northgate Mall. First, let's start with the food. I've had the meatball sandwich twice and it was very tasty. It's not the hugest portion in the world, so you might want to order an appetizer. I had a couple bites of the Optimus Grind (with salami, Canadian bacon, peppers) and it was good too. I am also a huge fan of their pizza! Love their thin crusts. If I wanted thick, doughy, disgusting crusts, I'd go to Pizza Hut. I ordered the Mama's pizza, which has peppers, sausage, and fresh baby spinach. Delicious! They're huge, so be prepared to share or take home lots of leftovers. The pretzel bites are just OK. Their "cheese sauce" was not cheesy at all. Seemed like a bland bechamel actually. Watershed also has an excellent selection of craft beer for those who care about that sort of thing (which I don't).

Visited here for dinner and a Puzzled Pint event on a Tuesday evening. The location is nice, right behind Northgate mall with a conveniently located parking lot just across the road. The pub was full of fellow puzzlers so we had a 15 minute wait - outside as there isn't much room to wait inside. Once seated, the waitress immediately took our drink orders and served them really promptly as well. I recommend the Cappucino Imperial Stout - it is rich, dark and subtly coffee flavoured, unusually delicious! Unlike most beers, this has a 12% alcohol content so don't plan on driving after a couple of these. Unfortunately, we soon realised that Watershed is just not prepared for the crowd that the event had dragged in. First off, we noticed that our table hadn't been properly cleaned after the previous person, possibly due to the rush. Then, the single pizza we ordered took close to an hour to be served (thank god for the puzzles that distracted us!). I will say this for the pizza, it is giant (3 of us couldn't finish it) and quite delicious (speaking for the Pesto Giardano). On the other hand, I was a little disappointed that a joint like this had a primarily pizza based menu - I was hoping for some of the signature snacks that bars are usually known for. Watershed is pretty far away from where I live so I don't see myself going back here too soon, particularly after the lukewarm experience.

Don't go thirsty. Many taps, but we rarely saw our server enough to ask for anything like water since the beer went pretty quick with the pizza. Pizza was tasty cuz it had a surprise spice to it. I feel like if we asked for it to be well done, no problem. Overall experience was very relaxed, but wouldn't be my 1st rec if asked.

My friend and I decided to stop by for drinks on Friday night. It was a beautiful Seattle night and there were spaces on their deck. When we went inside to request seating on the patio, we were told "we are not currently seating outside". When I inquired further, the snippy hostess told me that the server outside was 'overwhelmed' as they just had a party finish and LEAVE, and the also had a rush so the kitchen was backed up, but at soon as the server said it was okay they would start seating outside again. I asked 'when' that would be. The answer was an eye roll and exasperated (at me) "it could be 5 minutes it could 30". We left and went elsewhere. We wanted drinks, not food, but that was never asked. It would have been totally appropriate for her to seat us and then warn us that service would be slow b/c of the situation, but to simply refuse service?!? Also, this pub is next to a movie theater!!?!? If their staff can't handle the ebb and flow of service that comes with 'opening weekends', the management needs to hire better staff. Very disappointed, I park there every day and was thinking it would be a great spot for post work drinks/dinner as well as pre/post movie outings. Clearly they are not interested in return visits.

A new place that I think is going to struggle to find purchase. It is an ideally located hole in the wall with little to no competition. However, that's no excuse for laziness. While the food saves this review (an acceptable chorizo pizza); the service was lacking, the beer selection (maybe they have your third or fourth choices) was less than promised, and the ambiance was cheap. There's so much potential on premise. Not to mention the promise of such an ideal location next to the theater and lacking any real competition. This place should be a shoe in for go to. It's sorely disappointing though. Maybe they'll find their footing in the future, for now, I'd say wait.

The reason why the five star is attest more to our server Jean than anything else. She was really sweet and genuinely friendly and hospitable. She came back to check on us exactly the appropriate number of times. (Give her a raise!) This was our first time and while the food was good, I really liked the fact that you could cary on a conversation because this was one restaurant that didn't bombard you with loud music. In fact we had a pleasant conversation and that to me is primo! The spacing was good with a variety of areas to chose from to sit and I loved the greenery outside. I would most certainly return. It was terrific to know that there is now another fine place to eat ad not have to venture miles to find a good eatery. Next time I'll try the Happy Hour as well.

Jamey our server was attentive and knowledgeable, not obtrusive. Beer choices were varied and well selected. Lots of drink choices. Mac and cheese w/ bacon was fantastic but the regular Mac and cheese and cheese sauce for the pretzels was bland. Pepperoni pizza had a nice crust and flavor. I had a spicy chicken pie-fold (sandwich) which was excellent. Good place for good pub food.

Very nice ambience and friendly staff, however, the sandwich I ordered was awful. The bread was thick (making up most of the sandwich), stale and completely tasteless. The only choice given was white bread. I can't believe that it was homemade so it must have been store-bought. There was a barely detectable smattering of cranberry cream cheese on the sandwich. The meat was unremarkable....like the processed kind you get at QFC, certainly not from a roasted turkey. Don't you think a restaurant of this (perceived) caliber could make a sandwich with REAL turkey?? They threw in some tomatoes and lettuce and called it a sandwich. It was probably the worst sandwich I've ever eaten in a restaurant. They need to get better cooks who know how to make sandwiches befitting a restaurant in this location. The salad was just disgusting. Neither I nor my friend were able to eat our salads. Perhaps their saving grace is their pizza. I wouldn't know because I will not be eating there again. P.S. All the 5 stars seem to be at the top and all the highlighted reviews at the side are 5 and 4 star, giving the impression that the restaurant is fantastic. Prospective customers are misled UNLESS they take time to scroll on down. Had I scrolled down further, I'd have seen the negative comments and perhaps avoided this place. Live and learn.

I've been here two times and... meh. The service is slow, so be sure to know everything you want and to order all at once because that might be your last chance for a while, haha. The first time I went my friends ordered two pizzas and they got the sauces and toppings all mixed up, but we decided to just take it considering how long we waited for it to come out. The second time I got the Croque, which was good, but the entire meal took about two hours. There's nothing else on the menu that really jumps out at me... I'm not going to order a cheese plate while I'm out. The menu seems a little "easy." It's an ok place for just getting off work and walking down the block with time to kill, but there are a lot of other places nearby that I'd rather go to for the food, ambiance, and service if I were planning a night out.

My wife and I recently tried the Watershed Pub and Kitchen, we love it great beer selection and the menu is excellent. They do make one of the better pizzas in North Seattle that I have tried. I don't get the reviews that said service is bad here. This place is very busy and the service is great; thank you Ariel for the recommendations.

Have gone here multiple times since it opened and am a huge fan. They have tons of beer on tap making it a perfect place for beer snobs like myself. The atmosphere is very fun. I've gone here for football games and even world cup games. The staff seems very well organized and the owner is awesome. He gets to know a ton of his customers. I recommend the Mama's pizza, it's our favorite. Also try their salads. They have events every once in awhile, usually by having a live band or something. Sometimes they showcase a local brewery. Will be back.

Had great potential, but unfortunately failed miserably. Food was mediocre. A $20 pizza better be something to rave about, but fell short of a $12 Papa Murphy's pizza. If you have food specials you tell the customer when they're seated, not when you're *finally* taking their order (we've already changed our mind 3 times by then). Note: If you have an impressive list of beers, be proud of it and recommend a couple. Don't just point at a piece of paper on the table when I ask if you have a hefeweizen on top and say "there's our beer selection." Slow, bad service. Was not the busy time of day, early dinner on a Thursday and there were plenty of empty tables. Servers and wait-staff just walked past our table; the bartender was the one to *finally* come over and take our order. This meant we got one drink and ordered food. There was no "How's everything taste, need anything else?" after the food was delivered. There was no offer of another drink or water, so we ate with empty glasses. The tables on either side of ours were seated after us, waited on, received their food before us, and received a refill or two. When it was time to leave I asked the host who manager was because I wanted to speak with them. He said "well the owner is here, you can speak with him." I said "great, who is he?" He pointed at the kid at the end of the bar, sitting with his two friends watching the Sounders game. This kid had not moved from his two friends the whole time we were there, he was all of 8-10 ft from our table. I figured it was just three guys there to watch a Sounders game a have a couple beers. He had looked over at our table a half dozen or so times, and that's what made me irate: - If an owner of a newly opened restaurant/bar isn't the hardest working employee in the place, that's a bad sign. - If an owner of a newly opened restaurant/bar notices there is a table in the center of his bar, with empty drink glasses (be it beer, water, soda, etc) and their food was just delivered, and isn't flipping out or getting refills himself, that's a bad sign. There were a couple reviewers that also stated they did not receive good service, I wish I read them before we went. With Watershed's desolate location (in between a park-n-ride, and some half-capacity condos) they better have killer food, killer beer, or *THE* game you want to watch or else there's no reason to go there because no one is going to just stumble by. Definitely go somewhere else.

Wow I really enjoyed the watershed. The pizza was perfect. So good! Only a couple of suggestions. When we walked in no one greeted us and the seat yourself was confusing. So we were just standing there for a solid minute before anyone said it's seat yourself! Also, no one came to our table for the first 3 minutes and it's probably because the message wasn't relayed that we were there. But other then that I love the new addition to northgate! It's just what the area needs!

Strangely underwhelming first visit. I can't even say exactly why I didn't love it and that feels like part of the reason I don't like it. I just don't quite get what they're doing. Atmosphere is fine, there's nothing really wrong with it but it does feel a little boring. Husband had 2 beers and I had 2 drinks, a strawberry rhubarb margarita and blackberry mule. All were good. The strawberry rhubarb margarita was actually delicious. Husband had a Croque Madame which is one of his favorite things in the world (we just came back from France where he had so many that I'm surprised he even ordered this tonight). He loved it and it had 2 eggs on it which is double the protein they normally have on them I guess? He had it with a side Caesar salad which was also good. I had a pork carnitas pizza fold. I honestly felt like they weren't even trying here. It was a pre-cooked pizza crust basically cut in half and served as a sandwich crust. It didn't taste very good and was just confusing. I did have a side of life changing tomato soup with it though. Holy moly, that was amazing. Next time I'll order the grilled cheese with bacon and a cup of tomato soup and I bet I'll be content. In summary, I guess this place is fine. I almost want to knock them down to 2 stars for being just "fine". I feel insulted that it seems like they're not really trying. That's not how you create a long lasting and profitable restaurant either. We had heard good things from friends. I kind of question their judgement now.

My local beer living Seattle and Portland peeps will like this place! Decent beer selection and good food not all gross pub grub but yummy fresh salads and pizzas. Not too mention 20 beers on tap with a full bar and the music is legit rock alternative the kind that makes you reminisce while drinking your beer. Totally recommend it.

My girlfriend and I on vacation with the kids had dinner here last night and had some great pizza and I had the carnitas torta which was awesome:) The owner is the cousin of a good friend of mine and greeted us with smiles. I recommend the watershed. Great people and some really good food. The only downside I would say is its not a very "family" type place .. But when we are back in Seattle we will diffidently return :) Thanks

My friends and I have been here twice now, and we are definitely fans. It might be more accurate to say the neighborhood is Northgate instead of Maple Leaf because it's about a block south of the mall's movie theater. In any event, the beer selection is good -- esp. if you're an IPA lover -- and the spring cocktails are tasty: so far we tried the Vitamin Gin and the Basil Gimlet. The food itself is good, but a little overpriced here and there. Not a lot, just a little. Two pretzels for $7? That feels like a lot. Last week I had the meatball sandwich which was VERY good - but on the seriously small size. As in, I'm not sure I've ever seen a meatball sandwich this small! Last night we had the ricotta pizza, which was delicious, and for $21 (large) was perfect for four of us and priced just like everywhere else. Thin crust (foldable!) and really good. Definitely going back for that. On top of the lovely cocktails, good beer, yummy food, excellent service (thank you Janna!), and atmosphere that does not lend itself to you thinking you're in/near a mall, the music they played -- at least last night -- was the best! We Gen Xers loved the selection of alternative classics from about 1994 - 1999. Already looking forward to going back. It's wonderful to have another decent, independent pub in the area.

I've been here a few times now and had a great experience every time. Their food is really good, I especially love the Delizia Martino pizza (blue cheese, mozarella, and the ever present Beecher's cheddar on olive oil). I could eat it all day every day. Their grilled cheese is phenomenal. I know every restaurant in Seattle boasts the best grilled cheese every but after trying dozens of them, this one is my favorite. Their salads are also delicious, and I loved the honey-lemon salad dressing so much I started trying to mimic it at home. Beer selection is good and prices are competitive. I've loved every cocktail I've had here and all of them were very strong, to the point where I had to slow down and wait until my food arrived to keep sipping. People have complained about the prices of the pizza but I felt the pizza we ordered was huge and delicious and fairly priced for Seattle, we even had leftovers for lunch. Service here is good too. All of the servers I've had have been friendly and on top of things, and it seems like other servers and staff sometimes stop by as well to make sure you don't need anything. The first time I came here, in fact, two different servers tried to take our drink order within a few minutes of sitting down because the second one was worried we hadn't been greeted yet.

Great beer selection that is always changing. Pizzas here are pretty good as well. The tomato soup is superb! Pretzels are also good although the cheese sauce is bland - needs some more zip! Service is super friendly and always tries to be very accommodating if you are trying to make a movie time. We've had a couple slips as far as wrong beers delivered when they are busy but they are always quick to fix it. Be careful if you are sitting at the picnic tables outside - they're wobbly!

I just got laid off from my job earlier this morning and my family wanted to guarantee I got outside to do something fun and different to lift my spirits. We ended up at the brand new Watershed Pub and Kitchen earlier this evening. What a great find and awesome addition to the urban village of Thornton Creek/Northgate! Impressive entrance with the customized iron work. Bright industrial interior tempered with wood work, smooth banquettes and tables, and eye catching lighting. A wide variety of seating arrangements are available to accommodate singles, two tops and upward, and groups. Plus folks with kids are able to dine in designated areas. Sports on the TV screens, an area for darts, and upstairs section too. Evidently down the road there will be outdoor seating to take advantage of the view of the Thornton Creek Watershed. Genuine welcoming vibe from the restaurant staff. Our family enjoyed our friendly and knowledgeable wait person, Janna, who helped us navigate through the menu choices. The husband tried the Tieton Wild Washington Cider ($6) and the kiddo had two glasses of root beer ($5). Husband had the Optimus Grind sandwich ($13) which had San Marzano tomato sauce, basil, pesto, finocchiona salami, Canadian bacon, Mama Lil's peppers, mozzarella and provolone on a toasted Macrina roll. It also came with mixed greens that were lightly dressed. Dressing choices include ranch, red wine vinaigrette or honey lemon. Me and the kiddo shared an 18 inch Delizia Martino pizza that had Beecher's Flagship, blue cheese, parmigiano reggiano, goat cheese, and mozzarella on an olive oil base ($18). We were allowed to have half the pizza with goat cheese, while the other half had the above toppings but with added bacon. Loved that the pizza was piping hot and a chewy, delicious crust. Managed to have some leftover slices to box up to take home. The food and beverage menu will guarantee that everyone in your party will find something of interest. Lots of beer on tap, in cans, and tall boys. There's also cider, wine, cocktails, and other non-alcoholic offerings. Food is of high quality ingredients and locally sourced whenever possible. There's a variety of appetizers ($13-15), salads ($6-9), sandwiches with salads ($10-13), and pizzas ($13 and up). Hours are generous for nearby workers, shoppers, commuters from the Northgate Transit Center, movie goers, and the surrounding neighborhood. Another great dining option in the immediate area! Sunday - Thursday 11am to 12 midnight Friday - Saturday 11 am to 2am Excellent find and look forward to many more opportunities to return with family and friends. Mission accomplished where this evening's experience deserved the five stars. Congratulations and welcome to the neighborhood!

My first time here was very disappointing. Service was weird. Hard to explain but just awkward and not good. The coffee was bad. The one person in the kitchen is not enough to actually put food out in a timely fashion. It took forever for our food and no server ever came by to check on us or to say the food would be out soon. It is too busy for them. The restaurant is way too big for the tiny kitchen and what seems to be the one person working in the kitchen. We waited about 50 minutes for the food and it was not worth the wait. We had the pizza and then we had stomach aches the rest of the day.

Took the opportunity to check out this new pub in the 'hood (come on Yelp, this is NORTHGATE, not Maple Leaf!) on their first Friday night open to the public. Location: Parking is ample since it is across from the park n' ride. The fence makes it a pain to walk around, but it's nice to have off-street parking period. Great location for pre or post-movie meals and drinks at Thornton's theater. Atmosphere: They need shades for the west-facing windows stat (BLINDING SUN LATE-DAY! ACK!). Decor unremarkable but clean and simple, seating is overcrowded in the bar so servers have a tough time getting between tables--this will definitely need tweaking. Sound levels very good; could easily hear one another talking, yet still enjoy the music and the bustle of the Friday evening crowd. Definitely felt free to hang out as long as we wanted, seating was comfortable, lighting was appropriately moody without being dark once the sun went down. Food: Menu is disappointingly small. Beer and wine list is good. In a pub like this I expect far more appetizer options--small, quick bites to accompany your brew. They had only two appetizers: basically an uninspired cheese plate and a meat plate. I wish Seattle would forget Beecher's Flagship exists just once. It need not be on every "local" menu. A few salads, a few sandwiches, and large pizzas made up the rest of the menu. Caesar salad was large enough to split as an appetizer or eat as a meal. Salad was poorly tossed (some leaves were sopping, some were dry, chalk it up to a kitchen in a big rush), and they missed one of the requested toppings on our pizza though it was on our receipt at the end of the meal (we had them remove the charge). Pizza was delicious but WAAAAY greasy. I had to ask for napkins to sop up the oil on top and underneath the pizza. Crust is a good doneness, unremarkable in taste. Some truly creative combinations offered and we look forward to trying more. Service: Service was friendly and attentive enough for us--some may have felt neglected but we prefer being left alone most of the time. Beers were kept full, requests were fulfilled in a timely fashion (for their first busy Friday especially). Multiple servers took care of us, whether by accident or design. But it meant we had a mess of a bill at the end--our bill somehow got combined with another bill, and since we had been served by multiple servers, no single server knew what all we had ordered. We had to go over it line-by-line with the server who brought the bill, then she couldn't fix it without a manager getting involved. They are still getting to know their system, so it took around 20 minutes for them to straighten it out--long enough for us to finish our last sips of beer, each take a turn in the restroom, then stand around wondering if the server was ever coming back. Sent the hostess (owner?) to check on the situation, bill finally came back and nothing was comped for any of the mistakes or lengthy waiting--left us with a bit of a sour taste on exiting. Bottom Line: Will definitely be back a few more times to see how the place evolves over time. I don't think it will become a regular watering hole for us unless they introduce more small bites. While we much prefer the atmosphere of Watershed over the chain Stanford's nearby, at least the latter has a fairly robust and cheap happy hour menu where we know we can get delicious smaller plates when we just want a drink and a nosh. But $50+ for four beers, a pizza, and a split salad is a bit steep for us to want to "just drop by" throughout our week. If they add some happy hour specials and/or expand the appetizer menu, it will be a bigger draw for us, and I suspect we aren't alone.

I have high hopes for this place because the ambiance was great and it's so close to home. There are a few things however that will keep me from returning right away. The outdoor seating is on park bench style picnic tables that are very wobbly. We almost tipped our beer several times as we moved or shifted in our seats. We noticed other people having the same issue. Also, the servers seems pretty green. Our server was fine but we didn't order much. Both the folks on either side of us had messed up orders and things not arrive that the server admitted to forgetting to put in. A few months under their belt and I'm sure they will sling beers and pizzas like some of the more established joints in Wallingford or Ballard.

How could you go wrong? Beer on tap, excellent food, and great service. Definitely worth stopping in. Husband got the Nonna's Meatball sub and he was in love. I got the Caesar salad and the croutons alone were perfect! Thought it was cool that along with their selection of beer, they have a selection of rootbeer too ;) Awesome new addition to the neighborhood.

Went there and they "ran out" of lemonade the day before but didn't bother to stock up for the next day. Ordered the roast beef sandwich...paid $15 for a sandwich I could've gotten at Subway or Safeway. They used lunch meat instead of fresh roasted beef. The salad was very disappointing and they took 50 minutes to serve our food. Told us to purchase appetizers because the wait was long, but didn't apologize or offer a discount. Ate my meal with zero refills on my drink. They definitely have some things to work out.

I have been sitting here for 30 minutes and no one seems to pay attention. There were people that showed up much later than me and they already got their order down. Perhaps im not White enough that being Asian is not quite welcome here. I will be moving on to Kukai ramen perhaps my kind will be served food at a timely fashion.

Nice friendly place. They are still in their first week of service and so understandably are working out a few things. For example becoming more kid friendly, hopefully they get just a couple things on the menu that will be good for the kids but they did a great job accommodating. Beer selection was great. They could use a couple more ciders. Food was delicious and a great price.

We enjoyed the happy hour and it could be really good given the location, although we had a hard time finding it. There is a sign by the entrance to the movie theater but you actually have to walk to the southern side of the building to get to it. I think this place is relatively new and I still think looking for its identity. For a bar/restaurant in Seattle it was pretty devoid of Seattle personality. There seemed to be a lot of people on staff although everyone was very friendly. I wish they would have offered some suggestions or asked if we had been in before and what to try. When we asked about a beer they offered us a sample instead of telling us what they thought about it. I am a huge fan of the staff knowing their selection and what they do well. Their pizza looked delicious although for ~$20 bucks for a whole pizza we were somewhat skeptical to try it. I think it would be really neat if they had slices at a reasonable prices that we could try before we ordering a whole pizza, especially for only two people. Plus the canned tomato sauce that they openly display means it isn't very fresh. I left this place with more questions than answers. What do they do? What are they really good at? What kind of place is it? I would go again for happy hour or if I were about to catch a movie. I feel a little underwhelmed after visiting here. As far as a destination, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to visit this place. We hope for good things.

The food is pretty good. I've had the beet and spinach salad and many pizzas. Service is terrible. I'd opt for takeout rather than dine in.

I have had better pizza, but it is a good location to get food before the movie. I have to try some of the sandwiches and beers next time. The restaurant was not super busy and it took or pizza a long time to come out. The service was nice and responsive to anything we needed.

Love this place. Great food, great people and awesome beer selection. They have a small selection of good liquors, which I appreciate because sometimes I need a break from beer (I know, I know....) It's definitely busy at times with wait times for seating and food, but that's to be expected when a new pub really takes of. Have a beer and chill, it's worth the wait!

Been here about six or eight times in the past three months. Excellent service and food every time. Great salads especially the Arugula Orange and Pear and Walnut. Excellent cheese plate a little different each time. I tried the Carnitas Torta sandwich based on a server recommendation and it was very tasty and just right size portion. I love the area and the outdoor seating looking towards Thornton Creek, too bad the weather is cooling off.

We had 25 people for a very casual pizza birthday party. They were very accommodating and organized in setting it up and serving the party. It is an awesome place for this sort of party. I would definitely do another party here, because I really like the local ownership/staff of Watershed. Waiter Jamie was great.

Walked in and was ignored for a good minute by the bigger red head hostess. The brunette finally greeted us was friendly and eventually seated us. Ordered a pizza first thing the waiter says is there kitchen should be caught up they've been busy. 20 mins pass with a apology for the wait and that they are making our pizza now, another 20 mins pass another apology it's going in the oven now. Wow it took 20 minutes to "make" the pizza? Now it's going in the oven 40 mins after I've ordered. 20 minutes pass still no sign of a pizza been here over a hour. My kid couldn't wait any longer so I asked for the pizza to go, so close to just leaving but I didn't want to screw them so paid for the pizza the waiter felt bad and says I'm going to give you a discount. Then he gives me my change and receipt I'm excited to see my "discount" which I was just going to tip him anyway for the gesture. No discount! why even mention it? Needless to say no tip then.

Good selection of beer. Location is quite hard to find if you don't know your way around Thornton place. Food is just Ok. The pretzel was disappointingly small. The decor is pretty cool. The room is lined with point glasses. I probably won't go out of the way to come for beer. Unless I'm already in the area for movies or food.

Great location. Very busy when movies let out. The atmosphere is 'community' - close tables or even sharing on the patio. Most patrons are friendly and will chat a bit. We've been here 4 times and each experience was different. 1st time - service was horrible. Waited about 25 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge us. The couple sitting next to us had been in several times and encouraged us to try again as they felt it was just a bad night for the usually great waitress. The food was fine. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup both were very good. 2nd and 3rd visits were okay. We shared a pizza (only okay) and the service was up to par. My husband prefers ice cold beer and they serve their beer in room temp glass. The 4th visit will likely be the last. The summer patio was busy and wait staff use the front door to access the patio. When we were walking up to the front door, it was slammed into my chest (very painful!). The waitress hurried by with a 'sorry'. The front desk asked if I was alright and offered a pitiful 'sorry'. The hostess would not seat us in the bar (there were vacant tables) and would only sit us in a small corner table. Our waitress was efficient and nice. The tomato soup wasn't as good as the first time - a bit curdled and not very tasty. My husbands pizza fold was very heavy on the mayo. Not too bad. Then, the front desk gal visited a table near us and chatted the folks up and offered a discount. Overheard that she's the owner's wife (owner). Really? I get a bruised boob and not even comped an appetizer or drink? Don't think we'll be back - didn't get a good feeling from the place and there are tons of other options in the area.

We went there for early lunch on a weekend. We were the only ones there and service was so slow! Major turn off when we ordered appetizers (Pão de Queijo - our kids' favorite snack) and they said it would take a whole hour to get them done. Obviously we didn't wait. I can get them done at home in 25 min from scratch. The booth where we sat was dirty what totally threw us off. They have no actual children's cups so obviously we had a lot of clean up to do with 2 children trying to handle pub sized glasses of water. Not to mention the "fruit cup" in their kids meal menu is a ramekin of canned pineapple chunks swimming in sugar syrup. EW! Which they sent to our table with a humongous spoon instead of a small desert sized fork. We had to call the server several times to bring items that were missing like napkins, silver, plates, etc and she was always taking her time. I waited for a refill on my soda our entire meal. She never offered one besides seeing my empty glass on the side of the table. She actually never came back to check on us after delivering our order. The food is average so we're probably not coming back. I wish I had read the reviews before heading there.

Very happy with this newly discovered restaurant in our kids apartment complex. We had breakfast (2 times) and pizza dinner. Very good food and food prices. My favorite was the yogurt and granola very good, and with a little honey drizzle, mine was perfect. My only observations and suggestions would be: Condiments, we felt like we had our servers running back and forth at every meal and we had to keep asking. Ketchup, salt and pepper, honey, jam No toast option with the breakfast menu, but they have biscuits and gravy on the menu and after asking we had the option of getting biscuits, however, they needed a bit more baking time. And rebaking a biscuit after it has cooled is less desirable and really doesn't work. Given that the restaurant feels new, these are relatively minor issues and merely observations with suggestions. The service was great and staff very pleasant. Would definitely go back when in town!

I love so many things about the Watershed Pub, starting with the people. Staff is super friendly and go out of their way to remember the names of those who visit often. I live at Thornton Place and find a reason to stop by at least a couple of times a week. Their food is amazing . . . Great pizza, award-winning (not even kidding) grilled cheese, and the best meat and cheese platter appetizer that I have ever had in my life! Really fun bartenders who make killer cocktails in addition to serving lots of locally brewed beer. And now they serve a hearty rustic brunch for those who would rather pay than cook on the weekends. (I'm one of those) Can't hardly wait for the warm weather come back so the patio will open up. That is heaven.

Horrible experience... My girlfriend and I placed a to go order. We ordered a NW Cheesesteak with no mushrooms, and mac n cheese. We don't live close by, but we were doing some shopping at the mall, so we ordered some food to take home. We got home and checked the bag, and there was no mac n cheese. The cheesesteak had mushrooms which we clearly stated to the airhead who answered the phone that we did not want. We called them immediately and the manager tried his best to resolve the issue, and refunded our money back to the card that was used. That is the only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1. We tried to look past the extremely long wait time to get our order once we arrived, but messing up the order completely is unacceptable. There are plenty of other places to eat in this neighborhood, they need to step their game up. We won't be back...

Nice location, good menu, and *excellent* beerage. Service was in fact a little slow when we were there, but our server had his hands full trying to balance indoor and outdoor seatings and we honestly didn't lack for anything. Standouts included the tomato soup (next time I'm going to take mine to another table, because it smelled so incredible I suddenly had to fend off all the other spoons nearby -- yes, I go out to eat with vultures) and the grilled cheese, which DAMN. My friends' thin-crust pizza was tasty as well, though if anyone asks it wasn't me who stole that last piece. We'll be back!

I've been twice. The place probably isn't going to make it with the servers getting high on their breaks and drinking both behind and at the bar (I guess he got off his shift - he was drinking while he was serving and then pulled up a stool at the bar). Yes pot is legal in Seattle but I don't want my server coming back all glassy eyed after going out to the parking lot while I wait for my pizza.

I want to really like this place - it is super close to where my boyfriend and I live so I hoped it would be a staple for the "to lazy to cook" days. Unfortunately, despite a decent beer list and decent food... The service is always bad. I have been here when it's busy and when there is literally one other table and it has always been a painfully slow experience. Try to know everything you want the first time someone comes by because that may be your only shot. Then your food will likely sit under a heating lamp while the servers and bartenders act bored. Alas, we will probably be sticking to our go-to neighborhood pubs over this place in the future.

Nice atmosphere and good beer but the service was poor and the food was nothing to write home about. Went w/ my cousin after we saw Gone Girl (crazy movie!) and, after being seated by the hostess, we were ignored for the better part of a half hour. Finally flagged down a waiter & asked if he was our server - "nope!" was his response, but he was happy to take our drink order anyway, which was nice of him. Found the menu a bit perplexing -- Roast Beef sandwich listed as a small plate? No idea what a pie fold is -- I think it's a sandwich or a grinder? We ordered bruschetta, which I've always thought came on toasted bread. The bread wasn't toasted and was a bit stale actually. The chopped tomato topping was fine if a bit soggy. Certainly not good or memorable, though. Also, when the bruschetta arrived we didn't have silverware, napkins, separate plates. Had to flag somebody else down. We also ordered the Pao de Queijo, which are "Brazilian cheese balls." We mostly ordered them because they sounded weird and we were curious. Certainly wouldn't recommend them. More discs of bread than balls, they were bland and boring. If they got their act together in terms of service and upped the food quality, it'd be a great place to go after a movie or shopping. But the enjoyment we got was mostly from laughing about how confused we were by our bizarre experience.

Super lame food. I had a meatball sandwich that was just shy of awful. It was very bland and soggy on tough bread. It comes with a salad which is really just a bed of spinach leaves and two cherry tomatoes. Not a place I'd eat at again.

Great environment and tasty food and beer selection. Rotating taps are top quality. It's my new neighborhood go to. Just wish they had more gluten free options for my wife besides salads. Also, love the movie discount if you eat here first. Ask your waiter for details as its a deff bonus.

A modern, posh new pub near the Northgate transit station that is just outside the theater. It's a little tricky to find since it isn't in the same cluster of restaurants directly next to the theater. Walk south along 3rd Ave NE from the Regal to find it. We pulled up a couple seats at the bar after a movie and enjoyed a $16 pizza which could have served four people. They have a nice family-friendly seating area as well as a bar, and darts. The pizza was much bigger than expected, and it was tasty. The dough was not as good as Pagaliacci in my opinion, but it had great toppings. They have tons of beers on tap and they fill growlers. The bartender made me a delicious dark n' stormy cocktail. I can't wait to go back and try more food on the menu. They have a variety of options, such as a charcuterie board and gourmet sandwiches.

Had brunch here recently. The dishes were all pretty good but the service was super slow. The food took a long time to come up and it seemed that the bartender was waiting on the few tables that were occupied. Perhaps they were short-staffed. I hope this is the case because, as I said, the food was good and they have a really interesting assortment of beers on tap.

My first impression wasn't good and it only got modestly better as food and drinks were served. First, I sat down at a table which seemed a reasonable size for the group I was with. It was dirty, but figured when the waiter came over he would wipe it off but he did not. I moved to a different table after I heard more people were showing up for our gathering. We ordered two pizzas which resembled microwave pizza. We also ordered salads which were good but expensive. Overall, the food was pricey for the quality. In addition to the waiter not concerning himself over the first dirty table, he also neglected to bring drinks the first time he was asked. Our gathering was only 6 people, so he shouldn't have been overwhelmed serving drinks and pizza to a table of 6. If you are looking for a mediocre restaraunt with over priced food and average service, then this is the place.

Good thin-crust pizza, nice salads, and an excellent beer list. We also got great service and found the set-up and servers very kid-friendly. It's also nice that they have the creek walk right there for younger ones to get the wiggles out while waiting for dinner. Nice, simple decor with plenty of light. This area has been anxiously awaiting such a place. We'll be back!

The pizza was thin and the crust held itself up. Only had one size, and it was what I would say is medium/large, priced at 13$. They even adhered to my request for light cheese and sauce. I admire that, too few places pay attention. The sandwich was quite small, and somehow priced higher than the pizza. Still tasty though. Would definitely take the lady to this homely place again.

Today was my second visit here. I went with friends their first Friday, and loved my meatball sandwich. Today, though, oh my god. Grilled cheese taken to heavenly heights with smoked gouda, caramelized onion and homemade beer bread. Unbelievably delicious, and big enough to split. We also shared a green salad, so the waitress suggested substituting the salad that comes with the sandwich with some tomato soup. All incredibly fresh and delicious. My friend asked for a recommendation for an IPA and the waitress was very knowledgeable and chose one that my friend loved. I'm not a beer drinker but happily got no attitude about it. Very friendly staff, love that it's a family owned place, and wonderful food and beer selections. I'll be back!

3 1/2 stars. New PUB PIZZA place. Not divey. Bright lots of windows. Good selection of craft beers. Nice bartender and waitstaff.(not Seattle characteristic) no long ass lectures about the beers ( not Seattle characteristic) The staff talked with customers and learned our names (definitely not Seattle characteristic). It's clearly a pizza pub joint ( no identity crisis yet and hopefully never) Pizza has crunchy chewy crust and very light. Simple ingredients and not overdressed. If you want the "bourgeois beer experience" go to f ing Capitol Hill or Fremont. Otherwise open your damn mouth and ask the staff if you are so curious about the floral notes of each beer. We need more neighborhoody hang outs not belltown wannabes. One advice though watershed, diversify your staff unless you are just trying to attract a certain crowd like some of these a hole yelpers. Also, even if people aren't regulars yet, they may be in the future. Hint hint.

I love that they have what, 21 rotating beers or 21 beers on tap or something, anyway, a ridiculously awesome number of beers on the menu and on tap. They have some wine and cocktails also. It has a very adorable atmosphere, feels more like a great neighborhood pub than a raging place for the bros (although I'm sure you can do that here as well). They have some games and chess and stuff to do, seating outside, differentiated but still kind of included seating for those not blessed with being drinking age, and booths. The service has been really awesome and friendly all three times I have been here. Beer tastes awesome, as do their cocktails, but their prices are kind of high and they don't have a great happy hour menu. In fact I don't believe there is food on it, although that may have changed since I asked about it a month ago, and beers are like a dollar off. And their food was good but I felt not completely worth the price tag. Ambiance: 5 Service: 5 Taste: food 3 drinks 5 Price: 2 1: utter failure 3: standard 5: awesomesauce Bottom Line: 4.5 It is a really great location and you can take anyone and their mother here (even probably that high maintenance date) for drinks, or if they like pizza. Their prices are pretty standard for beer, a teensy bit pricey for food. I will definitely come back since it is conveniently located, but would love to see a better happy hour menu, and pizza by the slice (i have to double check this but I was under the impression they don't sell by the slice). Love that they are a locally owned neighborhood pub/type bar!

OK, I'm not too much of a fan when it comes to shopping malls. This place, however, isn't in a shopping mall, it's just near one. The outside is a bit sterile, but the interior is flashy with lots of blonde wood. The beer selection is outstanding and the pizza and calzone is fabulous. If you want to see a movie at Thornton Place in the same retail complex, they can buy the tickets for you while you are at your table. Service is smart but not smarmy. Try it if you are in the neighborhood.

We have had the pleasure of eating here twice! Once midweek for lunch and today for brunch. Both times the food was excellent with fresh ingredients. Wait staff were friendly and made great recommendations for what to pick from the menu. We look forward to returning to sample the dinner menu and partake in the evening experience...or mid day to play some of the board games they have while sampling the wide selection of brews! Fun place!!!

I'm a bit of a foodie so I'll keep it simple...The pizza is what Pagliacci wishes it could be (but never will) and less expensive! Crust, cheese blends and sauce impeccable. If you don't love the pizza, go back to Pizza Hut, this is wasted on you. The beer selection is good although a little heavy on the IPA's, but I can always get a stout or porter. The sandwiches, especially the "Pie Fold" which uses pizza crust as bread, might be the secret weapon if you aren't looking for an 18" pie. Like an Italian pita sandwich. I wont even get into the beer bread grilled cheese, it is mind blowing. Daytime bartender Sara is one of N Seattle's best and, believe me, I know something about that as well.

We enjoyed our evening here. It is the kind of pizza I like: the salad was good. We found our favorite Seattle ale here. We love Full Sail Amber but now love Georgetown Chopper Red thanks to the wait staffs suggestions and knowledge. I love the location in this LEED ND development and along the daylighted creek. Perfect name too. We enjoyed our leftovers the next night as well.

Went here for the first time last night for a friend's birthday party. I had a chance to sample several of the pizzas and a few different kinds of beer and that were all excellent. I highly recommend the pizza that comes with salami, ricotta cheese, and peppers as the toppings. Good prices too. I'll definitely be coming back.

I went here once a couple months after this place opened and was not impressed. It's named "pub" so I would have expected more options on the menu that would actually be pub fare, but it was basically a pizza place and there weren't that many options. The pizza we did get was decent but nothing special and seemed a little pricey for what we got. The service was also just so so. Overall I will not be coming back here. It was a bit of a disappointment.

Went to a movie and decided to grab a bite afterward. We walked in to Watershed at 9, it was not busy. The beer selection is unique and extensive. Had a simple pepperoni pizza that was enormous! Plenty to feed the three of us. The two men who kept checking on us were friendly and took time to chat. (They may have been the owners.) We had an excellent experience and will return many more times. What are you waiting for? GO!

We decided to try this place out after hearing about it on eater Seattle. Pizza was pretty good, the crust is awesome! It was hard to find as it is tucked behind the movie theater. They need bigger signs. The bad thing was our waitress Sarah S. She was horrible!! She was rushing us thru the order & never came back to even see if we needed utensils, refills on beer etc. I actually physically had to track a different waitress down!

I really want to love this place. It's close to my house and it has a great selection of beer. But the food and the service are mediocre at best, and I just can't get past that. This review is based off multiple visits, unfortunately. The cheese balls seem to be missing a key ingredient - cheese. The meat and cheese plate suffers from a terrible imbalance of meat, cheese, and bread - mostly due to the impractically thick (though tasty) cheese slices. The pretzels were excellent, the mustard very good, and the cheese sauce vomit-inducing. I have no idea what they were thinking with the cheese sauce. It's more like a cold, slightly garlicky milk. Very confusing. The vegetable sandwich and the meatball sandwich are decent. The tomato soup has been so camouflaged with cheap cheese and salt that it barely resembles to fruit it was named for. The salad with the honey lemon dressing is fine. The real heartbreaker of the evening was the grilled cheese. Made with a loaf of bread, cheap or maybe fake butter, and grilled onions, somehow the cheese got overlooked. I'd estimate about 1/4 a teaspoon of cheese on each half loaf, at best. I wanted to cry in disappointment. Any hopes I had that dessert would make up for it all vanished with my first bite of the dark chocolate cheesecake. It is composed of at least 50% bland crust, and the other 50% is merely a grainy chocolate pudding. Maybe I'm so critical of the food because the service is so erratic. Simple orders of beer can take over 15 minutes to arrive. After waiting 10 minutes for the pretzels and beer, we ordering the meat and cheese plate too, which arrived long before the others. After eating these, we were planning on waiting another 20 minutes to order our meals, but based on the previous dishes we decided to order now. The meals arrived immediately. Come here to have a beer, but don't expect your meal to be more than 60% good.

Had the "Optimus Grind Sandwich" well the sandwich doesn't even come close to deserving that name. Truly a joke of a sandwich. My buddy had the Grilled Cheese and we couldn't even find the Cheese.

Super disappointed! This place is really close to our house so we wanted to like it. Went in here yesterday with my wife and received some of the worst service of my life. After we were sat down and brought our first round of drinks, the lady working behind the bar that sat us down didn't bother to check on us to the point that I had to flag a separate waiter down and ask him to get us a second round. My wife ordered a nitro IPA and they brought us the wrong beer. When I went to approach the bar to ask for the correct beer, I said I'd still drink the one they brought out just to be courteous in case they didn't want to waste their product. Was perfectly happy to pay for it too. She acted like I was trying to get it on the house, snatched it away from our table and proceeded to talk about us to another employee in plain sight of our table. I actually heard her mutter the the words "not on the house" and look at our table begrudgingly. The other waiter floating around was super awkward, didn't check on our table once, was shooting us weird looks and was entirely unfriendly. Then, we were brought our check without even asking for it. Not sure who owns this place, but he should really hire some friendlier waitstaff if he wants his business to succeed. Sadly, even though this place is close to my house, I probably won't be back and will tell my friends to stay away as well.

The food was great--the San Marzano tomato soup was the best tomato soup on the planet...no, really. Had the beet and goat cheese salad (exact name questionable, but you get the point)...really good. Love the pickled onions in it, which seemed an unlikely, but scrumptious pairing. Usually opt for a delightfully hoppy beer, but went for wine tonight, but the reader board of the rotating beers was awesome and certainly seem to be able to please my hoppy, ipa loving self...and other saavy beer drinkers alike. Service was great. My friend and I were there to chat the night away but were regularly checked in on and our waiter was delightful. Highly recommend and support this new, local restaurant--and you should too.

Came last night based on a friend's recommendation. I'll definitely be back! We caught the end of happy hour. Boyfriend got the soft pretzel with whole grain mustard and the house salad. I got the beet and spinach salad and white bean hummus. Portions were very generous. I couldn't finish all my food, and trust me, that NEVER happens! The fruit punch is awesome too. Try it, it's not just for kids! Altogether, two drinks, two salads, and two happy hour appetizers came to $26. For the amount and quality of food, I was very satisfied. The service was great also. Well done, Watershed!

I really dig this new place. They have over a dozen beers on tap, and it's not the usual bud, coors, etc., that I see often. They're all solid, craft beers and reasonably priced, especially during happy hour. The food is also on point. I've tried a couple sandwiches; meatball and roast beef were both good, but the grilled cheese was my favorite. They elevated an old classic with caramelized onions, Beecher's cheese, and a phenomenal bread. Pizza is the real star here. It's kind of like a NY, thinner, foldable crust, with just the right amount of crunch. They have some great choices on the menu and I've tried several. Everything was great, but the sausage, peppers, and ricotta one was my fave (sorry, can't remember the name). They use quality ingredients and it really shows in the final product. Staff was friendly and well versed on the menu. The building is brand new and looks great. I'm stoked this place opened and can't wait to come back.

Service was OK. Food was not. We won't be back. We were drawn in by ads outside the theatre. It wasn't easy to find (no address on those ads), but once we got there, it looked nice enough. Waiter was pleasant. We ordered cheeseballs and pretzels for appetizers. The cheeseballs were tasteless little lumps served with salted honey. The pretzels were okay - nothing special - and served with a surprisingly very cold cheese sauce. I want to say parmesan? Not tasty at all. I ordered a beet salad. The bacon looked like something my dog would chew on, so I picked around it. Other than that, it was pretty descent. You can't really screw up a salad. No one else at the table was impressed with their food. It was fairly blah all around.

Great alternative to Roosevelt Alehouse and Flying Squirrel. Pizza crust was chewy and flavorful and tap list was extensive (pitchers and growlers too!) We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating on a perfect July evening. It's still fairly new so it isn't totally dialed in, but it has ton's of potential. And for being spitting distance from the mall and the highway, it's surprisingly calm and quiet. Needless to say, we were impressed and we'll be coming back soon!

Was anxious to try this place out, as I'm a fan of Fiddler's Inn. This place did not meet that expectation. I know it's not the same venue, but when you have other locations, you'd expect some consistency across the board. I ordered a grinder sandwich--had pasta sauce and pepperoni--was tasty, but the side of salad was just a bunch of greens with barely any ranch dressing on it. My friend ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, which was equally disappointing--$9 for a big bowl of greens with boiled chicken breast slices and no Caesar dressing. It was an oil based dressing. Hope they dial in their menu after being open a while, but cannot justify coming back for the food at the present time.

Having a craving for pizza and a pint we tried the newly opened Watershed Pub near the Thornton Creek Theater complex. The location is great and we were greeted by friendly staff. The wait person helped with an IPA selection and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The choice of beer is very good and we ordered a couple pizzas. That's where we were quite disappointed. Both pizzas were essentially flavorless. We thought it may be our pallets that day so we took half home. We reheated the next day with the same results. Pizza with bad flavor, weird flavor, overpowering flavor is not unusual but no flavor was a new one for us. We will not be going back unless it is just for a pint.

This place is great. The bartenders are fast and friendly. They have a large beer selection and the food is really good. They serve a very good pizza and grinder sandwich. They have both indoor and outdoor seating for these warm Seattle days. Love the location and will be back.

I cannot believe places like this exists. I do not know if it was because i was asian, but not the bartender nor the waitress wanted to serve us in the bar. We got passed back and forth and had to negotiate our beer. We got the rude looks from the staff and like we did not exists. I have been on yelp for years and used this often, but never have we been treated on a place this bad before that i had to leave a caution to my fellow culinary hunters. Its not even bad instance, it was just a offensive experience. The pizza btw, was just ok. I prefer flying squirrel though which is a few blocks down. The bill got back to us though really fast.
