This place is awesome. Owned by veteran bar folks. They know and care about customer service. Especially surprising is a small menu but the food is handmade right in front of you. My favorite the turkey sandwich with bacon. Even will put pepper on te tomatoes for you. Thanks Liz! Great staff and a mature but not fuddy duddy type clientele. Look for the Norweigan flag. PS great private bathroom.

Good people, good service, good drinks, good times. Glad to have Stepping Stone in the neighborhood. They are the local bar that Ballard needs to hold onto and not give in to an ever increasingly conglomerate feel. Stay true Stepping Stone!

Not expecting much but a great place. Clean and comfortable. Great service. Low key. No blasting music. Good selection of local beers and the food I had was excellent. Lean and delicious Pastrami Ruben. Cudo's Aubrey the bartender.

I went to this little gem on monday and had a wonderful lunch in a friendly atmosphere. Very clean and good food. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The ginger beer was a first and I usually don't like beer.

Glad for new ownership. Regular consistent hours we can count on. Brighter space. Great beer at good prices. More mature crowd (read: not people being too outrageous or in some wild rush to get totally blotto). I hear they have food, but didn't try any when we were in on Friday - just stopping in for a pint on our way into downtown Ballard for a show - but do look forward to trying it. Grateful for a well-priced bar without pretense! May skip it on big game days (given the three TVs and our personal lack of interest in sportsball), but we'll definitely be back. Glad you took over!

Great neighborhood bar, cozy place with friendly, sarcastic clientele. Potlucks for Seahawks games are a hoot.
