Good hotel bar with good bartenders. If you're looking for a quiet beer and burger you cannot go wrong. The Kobe beef burger is awesome.

with murray's health waning, i am reminded of his salad days (ok maybe decades) when he had the bartending game on lock. after a brief disappearance leading to a wild goose hunt, my sources pointed me to the pan pacific, where murray was rumoured to be directing the hotel's revamped cocktail program. however, my hopes were dashed when we arrived with no murray to be found. sure, the cocktail list had his mark on it, but there's something lackluster about having your bartender read off a recipe as they're mixing. this just goes to show that one man cannot alone make a great bar and one bar cannot make a better bartender. but with all that said, it's not bad for a hotel bar; at least there's more than just a vodka tonic waiting for you.

This is definitely a cool spot to check out when you're looking to get away from the crowded bar scene where you can't hear yourself think let alone try to have a conversation. Here, you'll find am interesting cocktail and food menu to choose from and a bartender who will see to it that you have everything you need. The decor is ultra clean and definitely on the fancy side which is pretty standard for a hotel bar and you will find your fellow costumers to be a mix of business type folk and random people who have somehow found their way in. The good thing, is there will be plenty of room to stretch out and you won't have the latest hipster soundtrack drowning out your conversations so feel free to stop in, kick back, and enjoy a relaxing time with a few friends.

one of my favorite hang-outs in seattle. the bartenders are fun and very good at their jobs. have a glass of champagne on the patio and have a few happy hour nibbles - worth every penny. i love hotel bars, as they are usually fairly quiet and not crowded (also the crowd is usually a bit higher-end and not as prone to vom on your shoes mid-jaegerbomb), and the lobby bar at the pan-pacific is no exception. great for pre-downtown-exploration breakfasts too. if Jordan's there, she can make a hell of a margarita. trust me.

My roommate and I went because we read on Seattle Weekly that they were doing 2-1 hot toddies. The catch was, THEY didn't know they were running that special. We showed the bartender the article and he was happy to give us the deal anyway. Cozy atmosphere with big, plush seating. The hotel has a sushi place in it, so the bar has sushi happy hour. Our spicy tuna roll was delicious and cheap. The place was packed though, and service was fairly slow.
