Horrific!!! At the food court, waiting 10 minutes for a gyro sandwich when you're the only one who has ordered is too long. The staff doesn't care whatsoever. The pita is soggy, and the lettuce and tomato aren't fresh. The one redeeming quality that the Greek Kitchen has that brings it above 1 star is tasty meat that is wonderfully seasoned. The gyro makes up for the lack of freshness of the other ingredients, but the bad service and long wait can't be overlooked. Skip the Greek Kitchen, you'll thank me later :)

Food is a little more pricey than other fast food in the food court at the Northgate Mall but its way better. I had the felafel and greek fries and they were really good! The two men who were working were also really polite. I'm assuming they own the place. This place is worth spending little more money to get better food and support a local business than going to Taco Bell to get pink slime.

15 minutes for 3 grown men with only 2 customers to make a gyro? The food was quite good for mall take out, but the service was confused and lacking. I had no idea whether the guy behind the counter got my order and none of the people waiting were quite sure if the completed orders were his/hers instead of somebody else's. Too bad, as this place does have potential.

I watched them make my falafel balls. The hummus is homemade and creamy and delicious and there were at least 5 falafel balls in my sandwich. Yep, I has to wait a few minutes for FRESH food at the MALL! Totally worth it and a refreshing vegetarian option. And everything with the sandwich was compostable!

Really really really yummy food!!! My twin 2 year old boys will ONLY eat their falafel sandwiches - not from anywhere else!! We visit once a week now. They are so nice and they cut the cucumber, onion, and tomatoes really small for the boys. The falafels are made fresh on order and are super moist. The sauce is vegan - perfect! I always know I can count on my boys loving their dinner here - thank you!

On the days when my younger son has maneuvered me into yet another visit to GameStop, in the Northgate mall, we find ourselves ambling hollow-eyed through the food court, dodging the overly enthusiastic Grody Sweet-and-Sour Chicken Nubbins Sample Guy at the Chinese restaurant (on last visit he'd gained new competition by New Guy Doling Out Equally Grody Sweet Chicken Nubbins at the adjacent Japanese place.) Chinese/Japanese / heart disease / don't eat these! That leaves, let's see. Ivar's, which I'm never in the mood for, Taco Time, featuring food so unremittingly bland that the iceberg lettuce is the most proclamatory flavor in any given combination. Even their salsa tastes like nothing so much as the foil packets themselves. Let's not forget Sbarro, which has the distinction of being the most inedible pizza I've ever bitten into in my whole life. This was years ago, but I'm pretty sure I ate Soylent Green that day. If my love of food were a gleaming aircraft, Sbarro, with one well-aimed slice of pizza, tore a gaping hole in my fuselage. So on those evenings when I know the GameStop deliberations will last longer than a land war in Asia, our choice is a gyro at The Greek Kitchen. There's a Mexican guy who works there and always remembers us; he'll add or subtract ingredients good-naturedly and typically remembers these modifications even months later. The meat is not superlative, but it is plenty good. Its texture and temperature are always reliable, and they're not stingy with the feta, the meat or the dressings. The sandwiches are a reasonable size (though sloppy to eat elsewhere; we've had some gyro blowouts in the car, so I do recommend eating on-site, depressing though that might be. Just the sight of glazed, miserable cafeteria employees listlessly sweeping crap into their boxy dustpans near me makes me want to open my veins in the parking lot). The other guy that works there speaks Arabic and looks too young to be employed and has crinkly eyes when he smiles, which is a lot, and I suspect this may have to do with being at a slight disadvantage with English. The gyro salad is what I typically order. This salad could benefit from more variety and crisper (rather than Sysco) veggies, but I am a realist. More disappointing are the Greek fries, though we never fail to order them each time, always commenting that they're subpar. Both Gyro Hut and Mr. Gyro do these much more deliciously, with a nice tangy lemon and olive oil blend in addition to heaps of very good feta cheese. Here, the fries are just dry mall fries. They sprinkle some feta atop the pile, but dry cheese atop dry fries makes for low adhesion. The feta falls to the bottom and you have to do little feats of finger engineering, clasping fries from the top, while parting the pile and digging for the cheese crumbs to fuse them together on the journey mouthbound. Which I'm totally not above, but it ain't quite cricket, if you follow. If you're in the mall food court, you have my condolences. It's sad when food becomes little more than fuel. For some of us, though, it may be an (almost) necessary evil, and when held hostage by mediocrity, the Greek Kitchen will get you through without excesses of hot grease, breading, or despair.

This is the first Greek eatery that I've been to that offered my boyfriend and I samples, granted it being in the food court. The food was pretty damn good. I'm going to assume it was probably better than all the other food court vendors.. Oh and that crappy conveyor belt sushi place they have at the mall.

I love gyros.... But I don't love this place, unfortunately. It does, as everyone else says, take forever to get your food. It is fresh though, so ok fine. My issue is more with just random complaints. The lettuce in the gyro is really big and usually wet so it's hard to finagle into your mouth. The chicken is delicious though! Those Greek fries are weird really. Greek fries shouldn't be steak fries and if they added a nice lemon or olive oil I would be down. Also the soda they give with the combo is like the child size at any other place. I know as an American it's cliche to want bigger stuff, but c'mon. Soda is really quite in expensive so up-sizing it a bit would be nice. Overall this place is pretty ok, but certainly not my favorite gyro place.

I love falafel sandwiches, have them frequently and wanted to make a comment about Greek Kitchen. It's a minor peeve but none the less I felt compelled to share it. Without exception, every falafel sandwich I've ordered comes traditionally with 3 falafel balls. I ordered 2 falafel sandwiches at Greek Kitchen recently. I eagerly watched my sandwich being made as I wanted to get the 2nd sandwich sans onions. The sandwich maker took out 6 freshly fried falafel balls and set them on the pita bread to make my sandwiches. 3 balls per sandwich. I watched the manager come over and remove 1 ball from each sandwich and crumble the remaining 2 balls and spread them out on the bread. I'm sure he didn't know I was watching but I felt somewhat cheated and didn't quite receive what I paid for. Count your balls at Greek Kitchen, Northgate.
