As far as Thai food goes, this is definitely one of my favorites! They make a killer Phad Kee Mao and Phad Thai. Nice decor, servers are helpful and friendly. However service gets pretty slow during the lunch hours (although we were the only ones dining in the restaurant, there were loads of people coming in to pick up take out). Also, it's really hard to get a wheelchair in here, as the ramp is super steep and short. But the food is excellent so giving it 5 stars!

Friendly, prompt service. Mediocre food. Several details ( brown rice instead of white, spice level, etc.) were overlooked. Good not great.

Decent food. Les than decent service. Had to ring a bell upon entering to find someone working. He asked us if it was take out? Seated us without asking if we needed anything. Brought us ice water without asking if we wanted ice, which we never do. Phad see iew was not very tasty and had softer than usual noodles. Mongolian beef was lacking in beef. But had good flavor. We liked that onions were not overused as often found. Thank you is not in the vocab here. Two meals was $20. Likely week not return. But we did finish our plates. We were quite hungry.

I just love this place! I am a somewhat regular here; I love the neighborhood and the prices are reasonable. My two fave dishes are the Pad See Yu and the Pad Thai. Both traditional and very satisfying plates. I commented to my friend just last night that I appreciate that the servers place fresh flowers in their restaurant - very inviting. Also, the service is always kind and the food comes rather quickly if you're in a hurry. Great patio available as well.

This place is a solid 4 stars. I have eaten here plenty of times. I typically go here for lunch. The prices are more than reasonable considering their portion sizes are huge. I can get a to-go meal and easily split it into 2 meals. My go-to dishes are pineapple fried rice with chicken and prawns(~$11) or the pad se ew with beef (~$9). The dishes are made fresh, with plenty of spice (medium spicy) and include a good portion of fresh vegetables (broccoli, tomato and cucumber). Don't let the look of the restaurant on the inside or outside fool you, this place has great food.

Service has always been really friendly so that is a plus! The food has never really hit the mark of what I'm looking for. Not bad per se but I wouldn't call it great thai food. I would categorize this is a locals joint. I ate here on occasion when I lived in Greenlake, don't eat there now that I don't.

Convenient location, mediocre food for the price, good portions. I have eaten at Thai Ocean several times living near the Green Lake area. The restaurant is right across from Circa condo complex right next to Green Lake. There is a small parking lot outside of the restaurant which is nice, since parking can be a little tricky in that area. Pineapple fried rice: Had a balance of meat, veggies and pineapple. The flavor is decent, a good standard Thai dish. Chicken pad Thai: Generally one of our favorite go to dishes at Thai restaurants, but unfortunately their pad Thai was not up to par. The sauce tasted strange and off compared to how pad Thai is suppose to taste. The noodles had a ketchup-like taste to make it sweet and sour, as opposed to the classic tang from tamarind, lime and spices of traditional pad Thai flavor. It was interesting, but still edible. Service is okay. The restaurant has often been mostly empty when we dine-in or take-out. With many other Thai choices in the Seattle Area, we likely wouldn't consider this a top option.

Don't be fooled by the silly patio, it's the taste that matters and this place is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in the Seattle area. I've been here so many times I can't count. Simply because the people that work there are very friendly and the flavors are amazing. The red curry dish melts my heart with the coconut milk it's made with. The flavors that this place produces can't be recreated anywhere else. I've been to other Thai restaurants and this place has its own uniqueness in flavors and is always fresh. 6 stars from me.

  • Crystal D.

The patio looks silly and cheap. But I was starved, so i came in. Nobody was working and it took a couple minutes to be greeted. Then, it took forever for them to even take my order! By then I was hangry. At dinner time on a Thursday, there was only one couple in here eating. That should have been another warning sign. The curry doesn't come with rice and it is $1.75 for a side of small white rice and $3 for brown rice. I asked to add basil to my fried rice and that's $1 extra. I said yes only because I was too starved to think. But REALLY? Basil is not that expensive!!! With O'Ginger across the street in a nicer facility with better prices, I'm NEVER coming back here. I always give places a second chance but this place doesnt even deserve that. Krittika Noodles is a 4 blocks away too. Not a good value when you have other options that are tastier, better service, better prices and better food. 3 star wasn't that spicy, the tomatoes were soggy and it was super salty. I've never encountered too salty fried rice before. I don't know what they did.

I'll keep it short. Get the 3V lunch special combination (Puk phad ped) It is incredible, especially on Mondays.... I haven't had any thai food as good as this in this city. Not kidding.

First time here, holy cow it was delicious!! Pad thai, Tom khah, fried spring rolls....I will definitely be back! Super friendly owner, service was great. I didn't notice any funky smells and I have a bionic nose.

Good food. Decently cheap and the portions are pretty big. Never had anything there I didn't like.

Every neighborhood has to to have a Thai place. I think Thai Ocean has been here long before Albertson's was torn down to build apartments. Yes its a restaurant and food is ok. Definitely be sure to order water or tea to drench your innards after every salty bite of Thai food. I believe every Thai dish (not just here mind you) is laden w with salt. That said, the food isnt that bad, ok imo. Entrees are reasonably priced for a decent amount of food. On my recent adventure, I ordered my favorite Phad See Ew to go and expected to have leftovers. Alas, only 9 pieces of beef. I counted. I expected more tender meat. Tiny leftovers, but refer to my comment above to drink plenty of water... couldn't finish. Decent food, sometimes. I may return for a quick bite when nothing else whets my appetite, but there is more Thai down the street.

Sweet and sour chicken had no chicken. The dish was watery and very little taste. The meal was a plate of warm veggies swimming in water. Service was less than great. The price was ok, the place was clean except for my glass of water. Not a place I would ever go back to but I had fun with the people I was with

Take out has gotten REAALLLLY slow. They also haven't mastered that American hospitality thing yet. I order here takeout a lot because it's just so hard to screw up Thai food, and they are super close. But every time I go I wait for a while. Typically I call in, they say "15 minutes", I show up in 30, and wait another 30. I've been showing up even later each time, and I still wait most nights. Last time, they didn't put the soup on the counter, I paid for my food and grabbed the big bag. I called them to say there was no soup and they just argued with me that it was my fault. I finally caved and picked up the soup, and it tasted funky. It made me realize that the Tom Yum soup has been getting progressively worse. I would say the service here is dreadful, the food is okay.

The Phad Thai was way too sweet...almost tasted like candy. The dining room smelled moldy. What I saw of the kitchen looked dingey. Not going back.

My husband and I are a huge fan of Thai Ocean. We live in the neighborhood and opt for pick up or eat in on occasion. Curries are great, portions more than adequate for price, and taste/quality on par. Would certainly be confident my in recommendation for Thai Ocean to others.

I came here with a friend over the weekend and while it wasn't the best Thai food that I've ever had, I guess it wasn't the worst. We started with the fresh tofu spring rolls which were awesome. The peanut sauce made these even better. I'd come here just for these. I had the noodle soup with tofu as my entree though and it was just disappointing. The broth tasted too fishy for me, the noodles were thin rice noodles, (normally this has the thicker ones) and they skimped on the bean sprouts. The price was pretty reasonable - about $9 for the soup and $6 for the spring rolls. The service was friendly and prompt - I just wish my entree had been a little better.

Nice little Thai restaurant by greenlake. Service and food were great. However, the bathroom was pretty creepy. There wasn't enough lighting...and they have dried-dead roses hanging all over the wall. I was feeling pretty eerie sitting on that toilet....

Amazing little place in Greenlake I happened to find. Called in an order for dinner, phad kee meo, pineapple fried rice and order of fresh spring rolls, ready in 10 minutes. They have a little parking lot out front, which was nice. Total for our dinner was about $28...but I can tell you it was worth it. I could barely lift the bag when I carried it out to the car, it was super heavy. My bf had complained earlier about the other Thai place near us about how expensive it is and the tiny portions, so that is why I decided to try here. When I got home, we were both pleasantly surprised at the large amounts of food we got. My bf was very happy, as was I, with our dinners. They were full of flavor and the stars requested was right on target. The peanut sauce with the 3 rolls was amazing, too. We will order dinner here again soon.

Pad Thai was good. Decent Thai food. Service was kinda slow, but that's fine with me when I'm not in a hurry. Seemed like lots of people came in to get pick up.

One of the worst customer service I have EVER had. Went here for an early dinner with some friends tonight. Place was empty, that should've been a sign to leave then but decided to give it a try regardless. The woman working the front counter was nice enough: no smiles but nice enough for me to not care. Food was below average. As a regular thai food eater, this place was more than disappointing. My friend and I ordered Phad kee Mao (drunken Noddles) and another friend ordered sweet and sour chicken. Our Phad kee Mao was dry, almost no taste. Had to ask for some hot sauce to add flavor. We were starving so we didn't care much and ate. However the real surprise came when we paid and left the restaurant. We were getting into our cars when the lady (same lady who served us) came out yelling at us with receipts flying in her hands because one of us didn't leave a tip. We had paid desperately for our meal with 3 different transactions and decided to leave a bigger tip on one and none on the 3rd due to some money we owed each other. WHAT KIND OF RESTAURANT SERVICE IS THAT?!?! She Followed us to the car and demanded we leave a tip for her. It wasn't even worth arguing over so we left an average amount of tip and left. Horrible.Horrible Horrible. Will never be returning to this place again.

Service wasn't great for me, I was the only customer in the entire restaurant.. They bring complimentary soup, there's a cool fish tank and a lot of bamboo plants. It looks clean, Bathroom was clean. Food was great, tofu amazing. As a vegan I'm very critical of tofu. I've had better thia food, but I've had much much worse. I will be returning.

Reasonable good Phad Thai. If you're in the neighborhood good place to stop but not worth searching this place out. You'd go back.

My first time in was great! My lady and I ordered Wontons and a couple beers. Service was quick to start with and had multiple people waiting on us. The wontons were great! The ginger sauce was just sweet enough for me! For dinner we ordered the Duck Curry, and the cashew chicken. The duck curry was probably one of the best curry's I have ever had. The tomatoes, possibly heirloom were melt in your mouth. Same with the pineapple and the duck was tender, and cooked just right. The Cashew Chicken was pretty good. Nice moist chicken with perfectly cooked veggies and a nice 2 star spice. Nothing spectacular but really good chicken! As they got busy the service slowed down but who cares right? Its natural and expected and... I just had the best curry ever! I will defiantly come back!

This is probably the first 4-star rating I've given to a restaurant to which I will NOT return. The main reason for the high rating: the service was superb. The waitstaff anticipated the needs of our family (multiple small kids) better that we've experienced at probably any other restaurant. Kudos and thanks. The reason I won't be back: all the dishes were too sweet and/or too salty. Too bad, since the ingredients were all great. Our kids(and us adults) were drinking like camels after the meal.

Come in an Thai one on...see what i did there? Seriously though, this place is great. Nice little outdoor sitting area. Standard Thai restaurant decor inside, there are photos of The King of Thailand inside. The food was very delicious and very fresh, the lady that served us was very nice and prompt. I know most Thai places are very similar, and this one does not deviate too much, but if you are in the neighborhood and want thai, this will not disappoint!

  • Lisa W.

I've been here several times. They've got a good lunch menu, reasonably priced items that come with a salad with peanut sauce and spring roll. I like to sit outside on a nice day. I ordered takeout from this place recently and was less than impressed. I ordered the fresh roll and phad thai, both are reasonably priced. The fresh rolls were good, I love their peanut sauce that comes with it. But the Phad Thai didn't taste fresh. The noodles were stuck together and some of the chicken pieces were suspect. This used to be my go to place, I'm in the Lake City area. Guess I'll be trying some of the other spots that have been recommended.

Simply delicious. Unimpressive exterior, but friendly staff and once you taste it you eill be coming back. I like this place more than any of the places in district!

  • Boky S.

Food is amazing and the price is right! My dining partner was complaining that most places only give you "American spicy", not real Thai spice. Guess what, I got to hear sniffling, sneezing, coughing, and got to look at his teary eyes. Hahhahaaha They did it right because he said it was delicious! You can ask for 1-4 stars of spiciness to match your tastebuds. Love this place!

3.5 stars Awesomely priced $6.95 lunch specials! I got the veggie phad Thai, the spiciest they can make it. It was good. Not the best or the spiciest but for the price and portion it was one heck of a deal! The dish had lots of vegetables and was also colorful, making for a pretty-looking plate of food.

Awesome food, friendly service, quick for take-out orders, and pleasant casual atmosphere for dining in. I've been eating here for 12+ years and I still find it to be the best casual Thai place in North Seattle.

My sister and I were looking for a Thai restaurant to have dinner at near Greenlake. Thai Ocean was convenient, so we chose to come here. She is gluten free so we always need to be a little careful about the food we order, etc., but the staff was SO helpful and considerate of her allergy. They seemed to check and double check that all of the food was okay for her to eat. I was really impressed by the friendliness and the service. The food was delicious as well. The peanut sauce alone is worth returning to this restaurant for. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be returning. During our meal, my sister said she was already trying to figure out when she could come back. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Decent enough. But not enough to earn 3 stars. The place wasn't very busy, so our group of 5 were seated promptly. The place is pretty dimmed with a huge fish tank in the back of the restaurant. We started off with our appetizers of fresh spring rolls and a fried chicken with mustard sauce which were good, but nothing especially amazing. One little nice thing about the place is if your veg you can substitute any of the meat for tofu - unfortunately all the tofu comes in fried form. They also do the spicy factor pretty well here. Pass on any of the traditional drinks here; they came out to be very watered down in my experience. And you'll likely be waiting for your check to come for a 1/2 hr. I think this place could have better potential if the preparation of the food were more fresh/steamed and change up the decor to something more brightening. I don't expect I shall return here anytime soon. Better luck next time I guess.

This place was a pleasant surprise for a little Thai joint right around the corner from my friend's new apartment. Absolutely AWESOME fresh rolls, served with heated peanut sauce. They were to die for. I could have easily eaten TONS more of them. I'm dreaming of them right now... Solid Pad Thai, although I would have preferred a bit more tofu and I wasn't a huge fan of the added carrots and broccoli. The staff was very friendly and service was very quick. The interior was a little bit tacky, but not too bad.

Thai Ocean is my go-to take out restaurant! They are super friendly to all their customers and take only 10-15 minutes to prepare your take out order. I've only dined in during lunch hours and they have great prices and portions, enough that I usually have leftover Phad Thai! Recommended dishes: Spring Rolls Stuffed Wontons Phad Thai Panang Curry Tom Kah Gai Swimming Angel I love the consistency of Thai Ocean; I know I'll always have a tasty, fulfilling meal. Bonus: they have a lovely outdoor patio that is popular during the summer!

  • Jenny D.

We get take out from here often as we live very close. Their Tom Yum is okay (I prefer Krittikas) but it is reasonably priced. It's hit or miss on the spice. Sometimes 4* is not too hot, other times it's like WHOA. A little more consistency on the spiciness would go a long way. Overall it's reliably tasty though, and for the convenience factor it gets 4* (I would give 3.5 if that were an option...)

    (4)
  • Michele E.

I work close by and frequently make the dash in and out here. They are super fast in their preperation-as long as you order it to go. I always order the green curry as I know for sure it will be good. Another go to is the Fresh Rolls. The spiciness level varies from day to day. Some days a 3 star will burn your mouth up, other days, not so much. To summarize: I keep going back when I get the craving. The lunch menu is the key.

On my semi-frequent walks over to The Latona for a pint, I always go past Thai Ocean and think to myself, "hmm, I like Thai food, I should try this place." So, when a coworker wanted to grab some Thai for dinner, guess where I suggested? You guessed it: Thailand. But, because by the time we got there it would have been well past dinner time, I begrudgingly suggested Thai Ocean. I ordered the garlic prawns, and she had the pad thai, both of which were pretty solidly done. As I'm a spice hound however, I was a bit disappointed (as I am with most Thai restaurants, to be fair) in their supposedly 5-star heat. I'm generally of the opinion that if your eyes aren't watering a bit when you're eating spicy food, it simply isn't spicy enough. Also, despite being one of the world's biggest garlic proponents, I must say that even for me they laid it on pretty thick. Despite a meal having 'garlic' in its name, you should still be able to taste the other ingredients in the dish, which I sadly could not (the prawns were nicely cooked though). Both the bite of pad thai I had, and the fried spring roll appetizer were delicious. Service was quick and friendly, but my friend had one complaint that I wholeheartedly agree with: we both ordered, and our waitress asked if we wanted rice with our entrees, and of course we said yes, because when you order an entree that is meant to be eaten with rice that's what you do. We did not, however, expect to be charged for said rice. It's a small complaint, and it's not like it was expensive, but a Thai place not offering complementary rice just feels a bit on the cheap side. With all that said, Thai Ocean is a nice, quick option that's close to Green Lake, and I'm sure I'll be going back.

My wife and two kids love going to Thai Ocean. The portions are huge, the price is great, and the staff is extremely accommodating. My wife and I don't get to eat out often with 2 kids, and no family around so we eat at Thai Ocean whenever we go out to eat. We live within walking distance, so it is convenient for us. Plus, whenever we walk to Greenlake park, we have to smell the food which just motivates us to eat there more. Plus in the summer, we love to eat out on the deck. We love Thai Ocean.

So the (still present) veggie GF and I were out on a day adventure yesterday at Greenlake and decided to swing in Thai Ocean for lunch. We really wanted to try a new place with an outdoor patio, alas Yelp helped us find Thai Ocean. First impression is that it's a bit divey, not all the way divey, but distinctly leaning that way. Also, if you've read my reviews you should know that I am not judging, in fact I really like dives. We decided to eat outside on the "patio", be aware the patio is not that big and it doesn't see sun until the late afternoon. Despite it being a quite nice day in Seattle we were a bit chilly on the patio. So we shared the fresh rolls as apps and my non carnivorous friend had a small bowl of the Tom Kha Gai (coconut soup) subbing the chicken for tofu. Now, I didn't think the fresh rolls were the bees knees but in all honesty I struggle with anything that doesn't have meat. The GF really liked them and the soup. Moving on to mains the GF had the fried Tofu as a main and I had the Moo Yaung (grilled pork). I have to say I really liked the flavors of the Moo Yaung, the meat was spiced really well. I felt it was a bit overcooked but I understand the tendency to overcook pork. The chili sauce on the side was incredible. I wound up ordering a side of rice and was using the chili sauce to drizzle on the rice and eating it in conjunction with the pork. All in all the food was good and I can see us heading in again for a meal if we're in the neighborhood. The only real downside was the length of the meal. I was incredible long, especially for a lunch. We were out doing a combination of errands and just enjoying the weather. This stop in lunch took up far more of our time that we ever anticipated.

I was fortunate enough to live across the street from Thai Ocean for a year, and would give them a call whenever I craved their Phad Thai, which was often!! Its definitely worth visiting, even if you have other Thai restaurants close by, this one will not disappoint! My favorite order was the Phad Thai with beef and spring rolls. The only time I didn't order this I got the Thai soup because I was sick, which was also very good. I always got 2 stars which was just the right amount of spice to complement the delicious sauce. Their peanut sauce is absolutely to die for, and I found myself dipping anything and everything in it just so it wouldn't go to waste! My boyfriend preferred the beef and broccoli, which he defines as the best in Seattle. The orders were always ready in 15 minutes or less and the quality was always amazing. My only con was that I found it to be a tad pricey, but I don't think it's any more expensive than other Thai places.

Thai Ocean is my 2nd favorite Thai restaurant in the Greater Seattle area and I eat Thai food quite a bit. Their food is cooked with care and tastes authentic. They are also fast; I have never had an order take longer than 15 minutes. 10 minutes is more the norm. They have never messed up an order and are friendly and courteous. My favorite dishes: - Green or Panang curry (both are very good) - Tom Kha Gai (AMAZING soup; we get it with chicken) - Phad Kaprau (Chicken/veggie dish for those watching carb consumption) - Neau Yuang. This is the place to go for Thai Food in the Greenlake area, particularly if you want fast pickup.

This place is solid, but my advice is to get your order to go! The food is pretty good and the staff is really friendly, but dinning in is a slow experience. Pros: Decent Thai food Good location if you are hanging out around Green Lake To-Go orders are ready in 10 Cons: Dine in experience is pretty slow Weird parking lot

I've had better meals here before - maybe they had a different chef last week. I had the Rad Na (Stir fried wide noodles topped with broccoli, carrots and cabbage in black bean sauce) with tofu. The noodles were all stuck together and slimy. The sauce was bland. The worst thing though was that I asked for extra broccoli - the dish came with about 7 florets -- and they charged for the extra. I hate when restaurants skimp on the veggies. Also, staff were not very attentive - it wasn't a busy night but no one came by to take our order for quite a while until we flagged down the person pouring water to send someone out.

I've eaten here plenty of time and loved the pad thai. Tonight is a different story..... Literally found a huge bug in my peanut sauce. Never ever again. Probably ruined pad thai for the rest of my life.

The food here is solid, but not remarkable. The staff and owners on the otherhad are to be cherished. It was cold a drizzling last week when I stopped by (I know that's hard to believe in Seattle). I could have sworn that I stopped by my Aunt Becky's house for a meal. Although I was just grabbing take out, they invited me to have a seat at a table while I waited. They brought me some hot tea and explained that she didn't want me to catch a cold with the weather. As I was waiting a regular walked in and before she sat down a waitress brought her out the Singha she hadn't yet ordered. Seriously, the waitress had it in her hand walking to her table as she said "I'd like a Singha". If you live nearby, become a regular. Membership has its benefits.

If I were a coconut, I would most definitely wish my life would go to the sweet savory broth of a good Tom Ka Gai soup. Thai Ocean seems to have harvested this delicious flavor ten fold. Love the perfect amount of spice, not overpowering but not bland. Kudos to them. My Pad Khi Mao was surprisingly colorful. You know you are about to experience either flavor nirvana or overwhelming robustness when you are actually able to see the multiple ingredients in one bite on your fork. This is when you silently pray before you consume the spectacle. Thank goodness Thai Ocean got it right. A scrumptious blend of pan-fried noodles with crunchy (not mushy) vegetables with right amounts of basil, garlic, magical goodness etc... Yay for them. They don't advertise anywhere, so word to your momma. And her Tupperware Party friends.

Thai Ocean is a solid Thai place for me. They are super helpful and have on multiple occasions stayed past closing time to allow me to pickup a to go order of phad thai, pineapple fried rice, or swimming rama. Not the most exquisite Thai food I've ever had but their promptness and cheerfulness merits them four stars.

We were looking for some quick dinner last Tuesday evening near the Northeast corner of Greenlake. We wanted something relatively healthy so we decided to go to nearby Thai Ocean. I had been there once before and vaguely recalled being unimpressed, but we decided to give it a go anyway. There were very few diners in the restaurant, maybe two occupied tables at dinner time, and a couple of people waiting for their takeout. That should have been a warning sign. Also, the air smelled strongly of a dusty old heater. I'm guessing they were running their heater after a the warm weather season, and you could really smell the warm dust in the air. That should have been a second warning sign. They really should maintain their HVAC system, and replace the filter to keep the air clean and odor free. Despite these warnings, we sat down to dine. The food took a long time, much longer than Thai food normally takes, and too long given how few diners were present. The appetizers -- fresh rolls with peanut sauce -- had wilted lettuce that looked like it was a couple days old, and fridge/freezer burned fried tofu. My dish was Panang curry with fried tofu. The tofu tasted noticeably not fresh. It tasted several days old and like it had been in the fridge or freezer and picked up smells there. Furthermore, it wasn't heated all the way through -- it was cool in the center. Obviously, this fried tofu had been fried days earlier. On the whole, the ingredients were far from fresh. The service was slow. The ambiance is non-existent. I suppose neighborhood folks order takeout because it's convenient. Don't waste your time eating here, though. There are plenty of Thai restaurants around Seattle that do it *much* better. Without fresh ingredients, a meal is a non-starter. I won't be going back to Thai Ocean.

So I ate here again yesterday and it was HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT! TEN STARS HOT! Tied with a couple of other places for most hottest ever. Red faced hot! Empty water glass hot! If you go here and you order hot, don't say I didn't warn you. They got in a fresh batch of Thai chilis okay? HOT!!! Oh yeah, it's good too. But HOT!!

We eat here fairly often because the location is convenient and the food is pretty good. I'm not sure why, but the food is kind of "hit or miss" sometimes. I always order the yellow curry and it is always good. However, my husband always orders the cashew chicken and it is NOT always good. Sometimes it is good... sometimes it is not. I've never had anything else on their menu. It's not the best thai I've ever had, however it gets the job done. We usually order it "to go", but we've eaten inside a few times. The atmosphere is average. Personally, I enjoy eating it at home. I say, give it a shot. Your chances of getting good food are higher than your chances of getting "okay" food. Your safest bet is the yellow curry.

I eat here quite often and I've never had anything that wasn't exactly what I wanted and expected. The service is great as well.

At the suggestion of a friend who works in the area, we dined at Thai Ocean tonight. I was thankful for the suggestion as I had been craving Thai food - and Thai Ocean did not disappoint. It is not a fancy atmosphere in regards to decor, but service is friendly and the food was great and authentic. We had mini Thai fried spring rolls, panaang curry and pad thai. We ordered 3 stars and it was pretty spicy (out of 5)... We both can handle some spice (especially my husband), but I think I'll order the 2 stars next time. :) While we'd love to try other things on the menu when we go back, we loved both dishes so much it's likely we'd order them again and again. :)

I went here with a group of friends this afternoon. Oddly enough, I did a search on Yelp to find the nearest place (within a reasonable distance from my friend's place) and boom, off we went. The food was mediocre (especially for the price -- maybe it's okay during the week -- for their lunch menu... if you have nowhere else to go and you want horrible service) and the waiter was forgetful, rude. I am not sure why they even ask how you want your meal (mild, medium, or spicy) because apparently they don't listen, then they blame it on you for not seeing the red star, which means something is "a bit spicy". A bit spicy? Okay, this isn't the first thai restaurant I've been to, and whether it's a star or a pepper, I know what ONE red indicator means. My friend ordered his pad thai super spicy and it wasn't spicy at all. Not only was the food burning a hole through my stomach (after he asked me how I wanted it and I told him mild), but the dish I ordered literally only had five pieces of pork in it. Yes. Five little pieces. Soooo I'm paying $12 and change for this? I politely told him that it was way too spicy for me and then he proceeded to cop an attitude with me. He forgot to bring out my friend's tea so we just ended up sharing mine. Which saved us time and saved me from having to drink that bitter mess. Every time he came back to the table he felt the need to mention the spicy pork and green bean mess they tried to serve me. "Next time..." There won't be a next time. He came out and told us it's easier for him and us if we go inside to pay. How is that easier for us, exactly? He's glad that I left him a tip. I really didn't want to and I'm not sure why I did. P.S. Both my friend and I got sick after eating here.

This is such a frickin nice restaurant! I love it! The service is good. I go there for lunch when I have the time and money. I live in the Green Lake area and the lady who owns it is very personable and takes time to talk with me about what I might like (since I don't know that much about Thai food). I usually like to get the Phad Thai (noodles) but not spicy. Though I learned they can make it so hot to drop your pants. I can get full at lunch time on very little money...so ya...it's reasonable. I love it!

I LOVE Thai Ocean! The people who work there are super friendly and super accomodating. I heard a patron advise someone she couldn't have corn or soy and they were able to serve her quickly and at her requests. When I said I couldn't eat wheat, the waitress immediately said, "are you gluten-free?" YES! Someone who understands (no, it is NOT an allergy to milk 'tards at other places who don't get it) what I can and cannot eat :) They even promised me a new wok would be used for the dishes I would be eating, so no cross contamination woudl occur in the pan from the soy sauce. The portions are big enough to split and it's a great way to try a lot of dishes. Favs are: Fresh Rolls, Phad Thai, Panang Curry, and Yellow Curry. This is partially because we order the same thing everytime, it's so good! A nice way to end a walk before dinner- or go to dinner early and walk after to work off some of those coconut calories :)

I've now been to Thai Ocean twice. My first experience wasn't so bad, which is what made me think it would be okay to come here out of all the possible Asian places in town when I decided to capitulate to my week-long craving for Asian food. Man, what a mistake! The first time I went I got the Pad See Eew which was pretty good albeit very greasy. Not necessarily the best Pad See Eew in Seattle, but good enough to calm the craving. The guy who stays up front to take orders was pretty hospitable and friendly the first time I went to get take-out; he even offered me & my dog some water while we waited. This second time I went, he was not quite as friendly. When I asked him to describe one of the dishes to me, he said he didn't know how, in a tone that implied it was a stupid question. If you're working there, you should know what the components of each dish taste like & what they're made from! He didn't offer me a drink while I waited, and given how hot it was outside, I would have appreciated a glass of water. I have no idea why I left him a tip, but I stupidly did. I ended up spending $11 on the Swimming Angels, which really ought to be called the Drowning Angels given how much peanut sauce they ladle on there. Disgusting. This is what $11 bought me: a bag of ready-washed spinach from the grocery store, one small chicken breast sliced up, and three (yup, just 3) quarter-size sliced carrots DRENCHED in the most nauseatingly sugary peanut sauce I have ever tasted. I could have easily made this dish at home for less than $6 and had leftovers. The reason I eat Asian food out is because I don't know how to cook it; this did not count as Thai food to me, and left me quite disappointed. The only "Thai" component was the peanut sauce, but it was the least authentic-tasting peanut sauce I've ever eaten (& I've eaten a lot of Thai food). My last complaint is that the nearly $10 price tag didn't include rice! They wanted $1.50 for rice! Since when do dinner entrees at Asian restaurants not include rice?! I might be willing to change my rating if my third time ends up being more satisfying, but as it stands now, I will not be going there for a reallly long time. I was thoroughly disgusted & disappointed with this last experience.

As other reviewers have posted, there are major benefits to building up a regular status at Thai Ocean. Excellent Phad Thai and curries, very spicy, and awesome service. The folks here know how to take care of their customers. We've lucked out to have orders placed both before and after they were open. Even after we've moved out of the neighborhood, we're still asked if we're having our usual.

Atmosphere: Casual, interesting authentic decor, fun fish-tank to look at. Good place to bring a girlfriend/date. Food: I've only tried the Pad Thai here, so my review is based on this single dish. Overall, it is hit-or-miss. Sometimes it's really good, with a lot of sauce to make it more 'wet.' Othertimes, it seems like the portion that i was given has been sitting in the kitchen for a while as it's dry and a bit soggy. I have found this Pad Thai to be more greasy than most places, but it's great for a hangover! I've asked for NO sprouts before and found them among the noodles...bit of a pet peeve of mine. However, it is good Pad Thai most of the time, so I generally forgive them for this. I have only eaten in the restaurant once, and it was nice because even though it's generally not too busy (1-2 other groups) it still feels private. Staff: Friendly, quick, gives me hot tea when I come in and wait for my order! That's a big plus for me because I love Oolong and Green Tea =) Price: Cheaper than other Thai places in the area, and fair for what you get (fairly large portions, although sometimes not the best Pad Thai if it's an off day) Final Thought: Hit's the spot when I have a Thai craving. Generally satisfies, although has been known to disappoint which keeps me hesitant. Nothing spectacular, and wouldn't travel too far to get it.

I like this restaurant A LOT. When I worked in the area, I ate here for lunch 2 to 3 times per week. Now that I am not close, I order my 2 favorite dishes and pick them up on my way home. I get the Thai Ocean Fried Rice and the Garlic Calamari. There is a Thai restaurant down the street from where I live, and the food is decent, but I like this one a heck of a lot better!!

This place is near my apartment, so I would think it should be my go to place for thai, but it's not. It's more expensive than what it should be. It doesn't blow me away by any standard, but it's solid. The value just isn't there.

Decided to give Thai Ocean a try this evening as it is the closest Thai restaurant to our house. Save yourself the disappointment and go to Jhanjay in Wallingford on 45th instead! We ordered the Pad Kee Mao and the Pad See Ew, our staple Thai dishes. Both came with lots of vegetables (relative to other restaurants with the same dish) and very hearty portions. Spice levels were spot on, and service was quick. But, both dishes were vastly overcooked. The noodles were soggy and both dishes were drowning in oil. Several of the vegetables were burnt, with visible charring! Aside from the spice, the flavor was just...meh. Others have raved about the cost, but our dishes were a buck+ more than other Thai restaurants we frequent--not SO much in the grand scheme, but for the quality...I'll go elsewhere next time.

I live nearby so I've eaten here a few times. Each time was decent, I enjoyed all their dishes except for one that I had ordered as pick-up. It was lacking in quantity. Also, when I showed up there was nobody present at the front-desk so I had to yell to get their attention. The wait staff is generally friendly and the food is generally pretty good.

I live near Green Lake, and have access to several Thai restaurants in the area. Fortunately, the best I've had around here is 5 blocks away, which is Thai Ocean. That being the case, I tend to call in orders, do the pick-up, and eat at home. Even after being packaged and schlepped, the food here has never let me down. The Crab Wonton was squishy and bizarre once (and only once!), but other menu items keep me coming back. The Panang Curry is out-of-control delicious, as are the Phad Thai, Moo Katrium, and dipping sauce for the fresh spring rolls.

Good food, good service, great prices, & great location. The one thing that this place could use some work on is the decor. It looks exactly the same as it did 5 years ago when I first tried it out.

As others have said this is a pleasant surprise of a place. Only done takeout here, but I think they have a good decor & friendly staff, and quite good quality food. Takeout portions are awesome, with plenty of taste and spice. Stop by when in Greenlake!

  • Courtney M.

Their Phad See Ew is TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL. I thought I didn't like Thai food until I was coaxed there by vegan-boy, and holy cow, it was so good! And don't miss the "fresh roll w/ peanut sauce"..always hand-written on a whiteboard so you think it's a special, but it's the only special and they never erase it. Once I asked the kid working there why there's always a bottle of red Revlon nail polish included with Buddha's daily food offering (brass plate next to the register). He sorta shrugged, then pointed to another small shrine on a shelf above the kitchen doorway. "There's food up there too," he explained.

One of my favorites in Seattle - always look forward to seeing the owner - so friendly! Practically lived off their Chicken Phad Thai & Mongolian Beef for 2 years. Their dishes always taste so fresh - and perfectly spiced. Mango Sticky Rice (when available) is always an incredible treat after. You'll definitely need the walk around Greenlake when you're finished.

Thai Ocean is totally fine, but it's not really worth going out of your way to eat here. I live 3 blocks away, so it's my default local Thai place. And it's totally good for that. But if I want an amazing Thai dinner, I'd go elsewhere. Pluses: when you ask for spicy, they make it pretty spicy; generally a good assortment of veggies in the dishes; quick for takeout; outdoor seating.

I started going to this place many years ago when they first opened. I would come every Sunday for Soo see pla. A fried whole fish covered in a red curry sauce. I never got over that fish and I am still looking for it wherever I go.

I do like this place. The service is always friendly. The Phad Tai and the Phad Kee Mow are what I usually get there. This place is cheaper than most of the Thai places I've been to. The Phad Tai is 7 something and most places are about 10 bucks. I work near the place. So I usually get my Thai food cravings satisfied. The only thing I would say that I don't like is that the spicy level is not constant. Sometimes a four star would taste like a 6 or even a 2. Not constant, but really like the food and service and how cheap it is.

I beg to differ with Astro M's review. I do NOT like seafood at all or anything with seafood or fish flavor and i NEVER have eaten a dish at Thai Ocean that had too much fish sauce. My fiance, a Thai food newbie, brought me here after a friend of his brought him. He never know he liked Thai food til he came here, and wouldn't listen to my urges to try it. I on the other hand love Thai food and have sampled many an area restaurant. So I can tell you that Thai Ocean is one of the best Thai restaurants in the Seattle area. We don't get there as much as we'd like since we now live in Kent, but I can tell you....the 1st time we went there I was a couple months pregnant, our son is now 13 months old. As infrequently as make it in, they ALWAYS remember us every time we go in. The owners are so friendly, and the guy who's usually waiting tables is super friendly. Now for the food, the pad thai like many have said is hit or miss. I've only had it a couple times since the 1st time I was not so impressed. But the pineapple fried rice and the panang curry are always EXCELLENT!! I also like to have the yellow curry, and my fiances friend told me if I ask them to add mixed veggies in it they will, but I have yet to do that since its so filling the way it is. The mango sticky rice, omg, is SO yummy!!! Although I usually have to force myself to leave room for it, since everything else is so delicious. I do also have to disagree with the reviewers who claim the food is SUPER spicy. I tend to order my food 4 star and then ask for chili sauce on the side to spice it to my liking. My fiance will usually order 3 star which is good for him, but tends to taste not spicy at all to me. All in all Thai Ocean is really good, the food is good, the service is great, and I wish we could get there more. We are scared to sample Thai in Kent because we just don't think it will stack up.

I love this place for the consistently good service and best-ever Phad Kee Mow (I get take-out and ask for (fried) tofu instead of meat). I always ask for extra broccoli and they get the two-star spiciness exactly right (with actual pieces of pepper for heat!). The "wide" noodles are the kind that are cut from sheets...delicious and so much better than regular wide noodles. If they're not too busy and it's chilly outside, someone will usually offer me a cup of hot tea while I wait for my to-go order. :D After walking three blocks in the rain to take it home, it's still piping hot and delicious. If you live in this area, you must try it! It just might become your favorite rainy-day weekend study food.

Pretty good normal thai food that can do spicy right. An excellent take-out place. Prices are a little high, but portions are very large; about one and a half times what I'm used to getting from a usual thai restaurant. I would almost say that they put too much meat into their entries. You may wish to ask for extra rice to compensate for this.

If only Thai Ocean delivered, I would eat from here a lot more often! I'm not usually a fan of fried rice but there is something about their Pineapple Fried Rice that is truly sublime!

2 cute girls work here hahaha. The service is excellent but the food is so so. Anybody looking for cheap Thai food come here. Its a far drive for me since I live in West Seattle, I wouldn't park in their parking lot but there are street parking which is great. I ordered beer hoping it were to be cold, all i got was a room temperature beer.

When it comes to Thai food I have definitely been around the block and while I casually frequented many establishments, none had won my heart. None, that is, until Thai Ocean. With its fresh daily roses and a giant, well-maintained fish tank along the whole back wall, it was love at first sight. My fondness only grew after I tried their scrumptious Yellow Curry and their yummy Pad See Ew noodles (their Pad Thai is good too, worry not), now I'm smitten. I go at least 2 to 3 times a month, can't get enough. The service is great, I really only ask that they handle with care, and it's a convenient location with free parking. Four stars instead of five because once my dish was unusually bland and very different from the other times I'd ordered it. I mentioned this to the waiter and he explained that the owner (and head cook) was out of town and that the replacement cook didn't put the same "love" into her cooking. The waiter was super nice about it, he even gave me free Thai iced tea, but the owner needs to find a better substitute or train the current one better.

Yet another staple for the Greenlake neighborhood. The food here is pretty damn good (loves me the Swimming Angel!), it's inexpensive and its fast. It's gotten to the point now that when I show up I don't even get a menu anymore... they already know what I want. That my friends is the beauty of the neighborhood restaurant. Come here a few times for good Thai and I'm sure you'll be remembered.

  • Astro M.

Alright in a pinch but think any restaurant could take over their lease and do much better in this neighborhood. The food always has WAY too much fish sauce and is often overcooked. If you are starving and it is the only place open - you might want to see what is left in the back of your fridge.

The food is decidedly average, and the help sub average. I live a block away, and the convenience isn't enough to get me to go.

I do like all things riparian, and so I decided to feast at Thai Ocean yesterday. The name is interesting, sort of. Would the host be dressed as Manchanu, guarding the lake lead that leads to the underworld? Would it be an ocean of flavor or a tsunami of culinary ecstacy? Or would it be like a gently pounding surf, lulling me into bliss? I arrived around 5pm and immediately spotted the ocean-- a fish tank in the wall in the back of the restaurant. They should really call the place Thai Tidal Pool, or maybe Thai dal Pool. ahhahahah!! Hahah!!!! ahem... There wasn't anyone else there yet, but by the time I had visited the moldy smelling bathroom bordering a musty worn carpeted foyer, there were many more customers clamoring to get their "to go" orders. The owner was very pleasant and accomodating, and the staff there didn't seem to mind "Junior", a fat squirrel who waits outside the door for food all the time. I ordered tea and red curry squirrel, er I mean chicken. I asked the owner to make it very very very very spicy. Their hot scale is a 1 to 4 star scale. I asked for 4 star. It was hot, but not really as hot as I wanted. But it was tasty and I loved the fact that they served brown rice, which is much better for you than Jasmine rice. I was thinking about the squirrel. I wanted to really like a Thai restaurant that fed squirrels by a lake. There's something very John Muir or Kerouac about it. And after I paid, I decided that if I was hungry and in the area again, I might return. So, 1 star for the decor (it actually kind of depressed me --salmon/perriwinkle colored 1980's era decor), 2 or 3 stars for the red curry chicken I ordered with brown rice (it was good), and 5 stars for having a fat squirrel begging at the door. There's better Thai, but hey, Squirrels are pretty damn cool.

i've only done take out from here and it's decent, but be sure to stick with the phad thai if u go for noodles. i like how it comes with the regular noodles and meat, but then veggies are on the side (and fresh) and u can add on. adds a good crunch. phad see iew on the other hand is just average. i've had better at other places. it'll hit the spot if that's what you're craving, but between the two it's phad thai all the way (for noodles at least)

    (3)
  • Lizzie M.

I luuurve this place. It's incredibly cheap, so that's good. The fried tofu here is amazing, and they don't look at you all funny if you ask for red curry sauce WITHOUT coconut milk. In fact, it's on the menu that way. If I ask for my red curry without coconut milk at any other Thai restaurant I get a range of reactions, from shock and scandal to laughter to a blank stare. Who likes a meal that's sweet? Curry should be savory. Anyway, it's sort of awesome. The decor is standard to blah, but what are you going to a Thai restaurant for anyway? It ain't a museum, folks. If you want Thai food, good and hot and fresh and as spicy or as mild as you want it, Thai Ocean is a destination of perfection.

Tonight was the first time I went to Thai Ocean, but I was so satisfied that I can't help writing a review for it! My friend and I ordered the Phad Thai and Fried Rice. They're both really good! When I saw that they do not use MSG, I thought the food won't taste that good (I'm not really a fan of MSG, but I know that food with MSG will taste somewhat better.) However, to my surprise, both dishes were very rich with flavors. We ordered 5-stars and they were spicy enough. Food came out pretty fast. Besides the good food, service was great. Staffs were really nice and friendly. The restaurant itself was nice and clean. They also have some outdoor seatings, so it should be perfect during summer, where you can enjoy the sunshine and the view. While we were there, about 4-5 people came in to order to go. I guess that's understandable since they cook the food pretty fast. This is a great place to eat after you run around Green Lake. On top of those, food was cheap, and the portion was quite generous. Almost everything is under $10. Lunch menu is about $6 only. I will definitely come back, and I'll bring more friends next time. Really looking forward to try other dishes!

If it's wasn't 100 yards from my house, I most likely wouldn't go there. Not to say it's bad, I just wouldn't go out of my way b/c there are SO many Thai places in Seattle (I prefer Siam Lake Union). Pad Thai and curries are good and I like that they have brown rice as an option (vs. just white rice). My wife thinks the fish tank is scary, so we usually get it to go. :) Oh, and when they say spicy, they mean spicy. I love spicy food, so I don't mind it. 3 stars and you'll be grabbing for some aqua.

Went here with a Friend the other night because the place we planned on going to was closed. Short-and-sweet critique, I'd say if you are local & looking for some quick takeout, ... maybe. But once was probably enough. There are just too many places in Seattle to return somewhere that doesn't "wow" you in some way! We got there before they 'opened', so I was able to relax and enjoy the little patio outside until my Friend joined me. Well- they decided to 'open', but never turned the sign around or invited us inside! People just began walking in... Well, it didn't matter too much. It wasn't all that crowded. I think most people order takeout there. The one girl who helped us had her head down on the counter sleeping before we came in, and was doing homework most of the time we were there. We ordered an appetizer of fried tofu, with the red Panang curry and swimming Rama. People (who worked there? caterers? really-familiar-customers?) were running in & out from the kitchen to their cars the whole time, the portions certainly were not overly-generous. However, the food itself was fine.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for years. The service is always terrific, and the food is fabulous. There aren't any trendy new items on the menu (I can attest that it has not changed for the past 10 years, and the plates of Pad Thai I devoured here in middle school were as delicious then as they are today), but they do have all the staples. Keep in mind that this is a family run, down home Thai restaurant, and it is decorated accordingly. This is not a chic, hip or otherwise cool place, but it is definitely delicious and perfect for a casual dinner (or take out).

Pretty good Thai food, but I have had better. Got the yellow curry w/ Prawns, which was good, except for the huge chunks of potatoes in it. Prawns were of a nice size and tasty. Curry good, but a little on the thin side for me. Crab Ragoon was good, as was the Pineapple Fried Rice.

Good but not great thai food. They seem to have cranked up the spice in recent months, and while I like spice, 3 stars at Thai Ocean in August/Sept and in Nov/Dec were two very different things. But, it's very close for me, my standard thai takeout joint due to convenience/location, and I'll continue to go there on occasion. Not as fast on takeout as places I've been to in the past, generally 15-20 minutes. I like the drunken noodles, although I get it sans mushrooms..

Not very good at all. The two stars were for the service only; they were very attentive. I ordered the Moo Huang; it was dry, cold, and flavorless. The portion was meant for a child. The Fresh Wraps were old and may have been pre-made the day before. The peanut sauce tasted like what I buy from the market.

I was pleased to notice the take out comes in paper or EarthChoice recycleable containers. Reall good phad thai and pineapple fried rice (though a little stingy on the pineapple) the other night. The curries and chicken satay are always great, too.

Thai Ocean's shrimp Pad Thai is great (Smoky and flavorful!) Stop by when you're done torturing yourself (I mean exercising...) at Greenlake. There is a parking lot here, and indoor/outdoor seating (depending on the weather.) Food is available to go.

reasonably priced, reasonably okay. Nothing great, but it's close to home so we thought we'd try it. With all the thai in Seattle though, I probably won't go again. Service is good.

I have only eaten inside of this place once of the 15-20 times I've gotten their food, so I can't really comment on the service. I usually get a noodle dish and a curry. The curries never dissappoint. The green curry is phenomenal, and the panag curry good too. Sometimes the phad thai is too saucy and sweet, and other times the phad see-iuw isn't friend enough. But on the whole their dishes are good, it's pretty inexpensive, and take out is ready in 15 minutes, max. I'll keep coming back to this place.

When we moved to Seattle we knew that we would be able to find LOTS of Thai food. We were so pleased to find our favorite so near to our new home. Thai Ocean is so fantastic! They are really good about making it spicey- if you ask for a Four you are going to get something REALLY hot. My husband loves spicey things and the four was almost too much for him!

Great take-out since it's usually ready in ten minutes or so. After grabbing the goods, walk it over to a bench along the lake for a great meal with a great view.

Excellent service, food can be tailored to your tastes regarding swapping ingredients, and the food is delicious. Chef makes a great daily special.

Maybe I was there on an off day....but we thought the food was horrible and the restaurant seemed dirty. I've walked by this 100 times and finally tried it. I was so disappointed in the food. After that one experience I swore I'd never go back. It's sad, because i know it's been there for quite some time and it's so convenient near greenlake. It just wasn't good...and I think it's hard to really mess up thai food.

Thai Ocean is becoming my next best place to have inexpensive Thai food that isn't too much an Americanized version of the real thing. With all the thai restaurants around Seattle, it has to be something special to catch my eye and this is it. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can sit outside and watch the cyclists zipping around Ravenna/Greenlake area.

This is the cheapest and best thai lunch you can have in the Greenlake area. The portions are big, and include a salad and spring rolls. If you eat in, the decor is average, but there's a beautiful fish tank in the back to gaze at. In the summer, this you can eat on their patio, which has some greenery and sunlight.

Wanting to make a quick 9:30pm dash for Thai food, we ended up at the nearby Thai Ocean. Even though it was close to closing time, the hostess/waitress was very friendly and allowed us to eat in. I was a little worried the place would look run down based on other reviews and other shabbier restaurants in the area, but I was pleasantly surprised. It seemed nice and clean, and the lighting level was just right. We started with the fresh rolls, which were excellently wrapped but a little dry. The accompanying peanut sauce was abundant and delicious. Two of us asked for more than 5 stars of spiciness, to which the waitress confirmed "Thai hot", but as usual, it didn't end up making any difference. Fortunately, she immediately brought us the DIY spice tray, which featured four different weapons of ass destruction. I ordered my staple "chicken, basil, bell pepper, onion, and mushroom in chili paste" dish, and found it satisfying, especially for the $7.95 price and covered with briny sliced chilies and red chili paste from the tray. While I wouldn't rave about it, my friend was raving about his duck curry, and was quite excited to have enough for leftovers the next day. (My friends commented that Asian food seems to taste better the next day, perhaps due to extra marination. This led to an informal feasibility study for a "Second Day Asian" restaurant. We ended up shelving the idea, in hopes that it too would improve with age.) Anyway, while it didn't end up displacing any of my favorite Thai joints, I'm sure I'll be back before long.

I live about 3 blocks from this place but I was always under the impression that it was a seafood joint. Being a veg that kept me from trying it. But then one day I decided to stop in and check it out. Man am I glad I did. Their Pad Thai is among the best ive had, ive gotten in 3 times in the past month. Last time I went in I decided to try something new. I got flustered and just picked a random number from the veggie menu. Basil something, it was pretty amazing itself. I would recommend Thai Ocean for anyone that lives near Greenlake.

Thai Ocean is fast, friendly and delicious. What more could you want? Though Thai restaurants are fairly ubiquitous in Seattle, this one by Greenlake certainly doesn't disappoint. Great Phad Thai and Phad See-Ew.
