Great place and excellent food. The night we went here, they had a band and people were enjoying it so much they started dancing. The food was very good and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely be back.

I love Sarajevo lounge! I come a few time per week now that they are open for lunch. The lunch menu is awesome and on a sunny day the patio has a beautiful view of the sound! And the waitress always takes great care of my guests and I.

My friend visiting from out of town and I tried this place for lunch on Sunday. We were drawn in by the unique exterior and friendly server that talked to us while we looked at the menu outside. He was really friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the taste and quality of food that they serve. He did mention that it's a night club and not a lot of people are aware that they do lunch and dinner. It definitely looks and feels like a night club, with black exterior and darkly lit bathrooms. The interior design could use some work. It almost feels like they are trying to do too much with the space and can't decide which direction to go. But this is all purely cosmetic. Let's move on to the food! I ordered the falafel sandwich and it came with fries. The falafels themselves could have been cooked more as they were pretty mushy on the inside. But everything else about my meal was great. The fries were cooked to perfection and not overly salty. My friend ordered the Healthy Grains Salad and after I tried hers, I regretted not ordering it. It was DELICIOUS. It has quinoa and farro (a rice like grain) that are seasoned with harissa, topped with mixed greens, strawberries that were perfectly ripe, blueberries, and topped with grated Parmesan cheese. It was really, really good, and healthy! Next time I'm in Belltown I will be visiting this restaurant so I can order this dish.

Been coming regularly for weeks, all of a sudden got turned away at the door for wearing a hat. Food is alright and overpriced, service used to be good but became extremely douchey and selective. There are plenty of other places to go that are far more worth the time and money at this point.

The ambience of the lounge is really awesome. Food quality is decent and it comes in a big portion. I'f recommend the meat platter/mixer if it's your first time there. It has beef kebab, chick kebab, sausages, fries and so other stuff. We also order fried calamari for the starter, that's abundant and delicious too. I wish the female bartender at were more friendly and cheerful. For the record, there was barely any other customers around the time and got there at 7pm. it got really crowded in late night though.

This place rocks! The food is amazing, the music is great, and the staff is very friendly! If i'm in Seattle this is the place i always go to! I would definitely recommend stopping by at least for the food!

The Sarajevo Lounge not only serves amazing Bosnian food (think: the best not-made-by-your-Bosnian-friend's-mother cevapi in Seattle), their cocktails are really good, too; and last night I hit up Sarajevo lounge with my girlfriends during a girls' night and the hip hop in the front and the Mediterranean music in the back dance room made it so everyone could have fun. It's a little different than all the other bars in Belltown (or Seattle that is), but it's a fun and tasty experience all around!

Experience was great!! My wife is from Bosnia and she said the food was like back home. We will for sure be back again!!

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite dining places in Belltown, where we live. Our "neighbors" (5 other couples in our large apartment complex) gather monthly for dinner at nearby restaurants, taking turns to select the place. We picked Sarajevo last month. None of our neighbors had been here before. They were put off by the dark exterior and noisy nighttime crowd (typically after 9). They are all now "converts" and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner experience. A plus for us is that the Sarajevo Lounge doesn't attract a large dinner crowd, especially at earlier times. Their happy hour is 4-7, which is nice. The happy hour menu is reasonably priced, though not extensive. We typically order food from both menus. For some, it might feel weird to be dining in a restaurant that's nearly empty, but it works very well for us. If you want crowds, come back later in the evening. The menu here is mostly Bosnian food, though they do have some more generic offerings. Don't waste your time with the latter, because they're available elsewhere, and the Bosnian food here is so good.

Very friendly service in the only Balkan restaurant in Seattle. Genuine menu with large portions. It is a bar with music in the evening but a great location above Elliott Bay and the disappearing viaduct. The food was very good, especially the salmon.

Fiance and I stopped in here, unplanned, on a Sunday afternoon and have nothing but great things to say. Small plates were sensational. Balkan sliders, skewers, and mozz stick...all delicious. Happy hour drink prices are incredible. We had an amazing chocolate tort cake for dessert, and we were treated to complimentary shots for her birthday. Amazing experience, great service. Will certainly be back.

Came in for bar hopping, not the best drinks, super dead place, considering it was a friday night -- really surprising actually. Drinks were decent, but may as well have been worth it elsewhere.

One of my favorite Bell Town spots. The service staff is really friendly and attentive. I have yet to eat the quality of Bosnian food anywhere else. The Cevapi is really good. Sarajevo beer is really great !

BEST Cevapi outside of Sarajevo! Liz was our waitress, she was super sweet and very pleasant. This will for sure be one of my stops every visit to Seattle. Croatian Beer too!

Walked in with a Groupon, low expectations and a party of five very hungry people. This place GREATLY exceeded all of our expectations. We Had all of their "native food" and every dish brought new delight and enjoyment. We walked out full and happy thanking the Groupon Gods for yet another amazing new restaurant find. We will be back!

This is the poorest service that I've ever had, the food was bland and the employees were reluctant to take any responsibility for what happened. To start off the waiter, "Bryan" was erratic and seemed agitated. My grandmother asked for a spoon to put sugar into her tea in response to that the he rolled his eyes and let out a big sigh. When he came back and did not have the spoon my grandmother asked again, to which he did not acknowledge her and walked away. Finally, my friend from out of town had to ask on my grandmothers behalf at which point he reluctantly brought her one. My grandmother then asked Bryan about he soup of the day to which he went on a 5 minute lecture about how "no one eats soup on a day like this, and we stopped making soup since it is so expensive, $200 a pot and we are just throwing the pots of soup down the drain...." He was aggressive and condescending while admonishing her for her simple request. My mother received her pasta which was quite bland and requested salt and pepper to which Bryan, the server told her, "you need to taste your food first, we season our food a lot." He then turned and walked away. She then requested the salt and pepper again. I requested to speak with the owner or manager at which point Bryan told me, "I'm acting as the manager." So I told Bryan that I have never received such poor service and that he made my mother and grandmother feel disrespected. During my conversation with him his friend "Allison" that was sitting at the bar began sneezing on my shoulder, three times. I asked her to stop at which point she began arguing with me. I phoned to speak with the manager, Alexander, on Tuesday. He told me that he was fully aware of the situation and that what he heard was that four of the people from our party were perfectly satisfied with their service while I was the only one that complained. I informed him that he was informed incorrectly. We were all appalled at the service at which he apologized. He told me that he only puts out salt for a certain ethnic group and that for Americans he does not. Then he went on to tell me that the owner and manager were actually at the restaurant the day that I requested to speak with them and that they just don't speak with customers. This was by far the worst service that I have ever had and I felt so horrible that my mother and grandmother were treated so poorly on their trip to the city. I also felt embarrassed that my friends from the east coast were witnesses to such poor service.

This place has good food for a good price. The drinks are good too but the price is nothing to write home about. The atmosphere isn't bad either. It's got a posh nightclub kind of feel but sometimes that's fun. Buy the groupon for sure, can't go wrong.

Sounds eastern European at first. Like that city in Bosnia or wherever it might be, right? Maybe we see some of Bell-town's finest eastern block hookers smoking like a chimney, doing shots of vodka, and yelling out "nostrowia" right? No, it was actually not even close. My friends cousin was spinning some Latin music in the front of the house and the local Latin scene people trickled in a little at a time until they opened a huge room in the back. I was digging it to a point of being pleasantly surprised. Everyone is all dressed up doing the salsa and other dance styles. We grabbed a table in the corner and had some pretty quick table service. Mojito's were pretty good. Otherwise nothing screamed unique by any means. The tables outside were pleasant. I am sure it is a great weekend, Sunday Funday spot to drink copious amounts of libations and waste the day away. Absolutely an A-OK place...

No. Just no...never again. This place was way too crowded during the event. Oddly, no bouncer was at the door to check IDs or keep this place under control. I kind of question whether or not that many people should have been there. The bar was really slow. The bartender was slow and she was letting herself get really backed up. She took orders but was consistently a few rounds behind. It was a busy night. I kind of feel for her but it wasn'tt totally her fault or anything. They should have staffed more people. The red wine I had was the worst red wine I've ever had. I don't say wine is bad that much but it was terrible. Way worse than 2 buck chuck! The back room is way too loud. I hoped it would be an improvement from Del Ray but it was worse.

Worst dinning experience in Seattle EVER. Service was terrible, tables were sticky and dirty, servers never cleared any plates and dinning space became very cluttered. When asked about a additional charge on our bill, the staff didn't even look, got incredibly defensive and dropped the F-Bomb at us. The guests next to us were so offended by this behavior they also left.

The food Is amazing! The seafood kabobs are perfect. They have the most amazing rice. Management was very personable. The bartender was so nice. We loved it.

Admittedly I'm a regular. My patronage is based on the the service of Brian (server/bar tender on Saturday's). While the food is great - it's Brian who sells me on the menu, is engaging in conversation about the local scene and ensures I always have a good experience. Not sure what it's like on other days, but I would strongly recommend Saturday for lunch.

In the last month, we've tried to get served on two separate occasions, with not more than two tables of customers and never anyone at the bar. We couldn't get a waiter's attention either time. We'll try one more time and then it's "strike three - out".

This is a very tricky review for me to write because I have such mixed feelings about this place. The hardest part about coming to Sarajevo Lounge is that there is no element of predictability and reliability. I have been here probably about 5 times now and all of my experiences have varied tremendously. When this restaurant first opened, I was pretty excited that there was a place in Seattle with Bosnian food that was relatively convenient. The food started out great and the cevapi I had were great and made exactly to my instructions (well done). I have never been here during the evenings for the dancing and drinks so I cannot attest to that specific experience. But, Basically, I do not genuinely label my experiences here as enjoyable because of the service and I hesitate to recommend this place. The food is ok, passable, not the best Bosnian food I have had, not the worst. I understand as a new business there are always going to be a couple kinks to work out. But LITERALLY every single time I have been here with friends or family the waitresses sucked. One time, the waitress completely forgot about our table (hadn't even served water or taken our order yet), and was flirting with some guys who came in. I could tell the poor bartender was pretty uncomfortable, and he came down from the bar and took our order, clearly going above and beyond what his job was while his coworker was, well... doing nothing. Furthermore, I think some of the staff just has no clue about what expected behavior is when working in a restaurant (even if it has been pretty empty most of the times I have been here) I have seen the waitress touch her hair and then my food. That is just sloppy and gross and NEVER acceptable, later during the same meal when we finished eating, we waited 20 minutes, and I finally had to go hunt down our waitress for the bill. Seriously?! YOU need to get paid, not me! Finally, the hours are never predictable or what they say they will be. My sister and I were in Seattle for a day together and had heard from their Facebook page that they were now opening at 12:00 noon, so we headed over and the place was closed, and opening at 4:00. Two weekends ago I happened to be downtown with my mother and it was past noon (again they said they were opening at noon on the door) and it was not yet open. We saw some other people go into the restaurant and sit down so my mom went in to order and the waitress who wouldn't stop talking on the phone told her it didn't open until 3:00, but she was letting people in at noon? It just makes no sense. Finally, when we received our order, the meat was borderline raw, and the onions that came with it were disgusting (I literally have no idea where they could've bought them they were so nasty). All in all, I don't know that I would tell anyone to avoid this place in general, but for the price you are paying, I am SURE you could find better service. The food is not anything to write home about and I hate dealing with the unreliable nature of this place. It could really be a cool, awesome gathering spot that I would gladly bring service to, but the management and staff need to step their game up, so I am not bringing anyone here or telling anyone about it to save myself the embarrassment. There is much more to owning a restaurant than the building and location, and these guys just have not figured it out in my opinion.

So my wife and I stumbled upon this little gem in the heart of Belltown the other day and have found ourselves a second home. First off, we were immidiatelh and happily greeted by Brian, the bartender and server of this wonderful establishment. His enthusiasm and knowledge of things actually had us asking if he owned the place. So I don't keep this too long, the food was incredible. Best i have had In a long time, the service could not have been better, people that are learning how to serve should come watch how the staff here handles themselves and the business and learn how to be the best like they are, on a side note even talking to a fellow diner, Sarajevo lounge is a pretty great spot to party and dance the night away. The food was perfect, the cevapi was amazing, the crepes we're the best outside of france, and the happy hour is unmatched anywhere. To sum this up, we are customers for life. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for an incredible experience and delicious food, and the Bartenders great service combined with all the other aspects of the business, food, decor, music, overall feel will have us back in here as often as we can and recommending this place to all of our friends.

Sarajevo Lounge is by far my favorite restaurant in Belltown. Their food is phenomenal, the layout is dope, the decor is sexy, & their late night happy hour kicks ass! The menu is huge and most of their dishes are something your favorite aunt would cook at home. I usually go for the grilled salmon or Cevapi, although the Balkan sliders & fries are great too. I have food allergies so I usually ask for some kind of variation on what I order, the chef is great at accommodating for allergens. They just remodeled the space; all new furniture, fresh new decor, & more lounge space. The front room looked great before but now it's such a sexy chill spot. Def my favorite place in Belltown for happy hour. Sarajevo does happy hour twice a day: 4-7pm & again from 9-11pm. I usually go to the late night happy hour, Tuesday & Thursday are my favorite nights. They do 50% off appetizers & cocktails & $4 Fireball all night on Thursdays. Def worth checking out.

We came here to celebrate a birthday party for a good buddy, Jorge B. Dark everything interior...the decor, floor and black chairs / booths. Only lighting is the blue neon and dim red lights. It didn't help that all the staff was dress in black, too. lol Sarajevo Lounge has yummy Bosnian food. We got the fish & chips and pita + hummas platter. It was perfect hand food that goes well with our alcohol. Dino had chilled champagne waiting for us at our reserve VIP booth. Comfy lounge seats. Nice back section spacious section in the back with another bar and dance space. Extraordinary service from Ashley the bartender who spent time chit chating with us and made our drinks massive stiff. Not only that she is easy on the eyes but is also a sweetheart with many funny stories....reason why I gave them an extra two star! It was slow not busy Friday night but I guess that they are in transition of finding a new promoter for their Friday nights. I still had a good time. Thanks Ashley. I keep hearing about the cevape so I will back to try it. Recomended. Pro Tip: Inexpensive happy hour on drinks & food - all day Happy Hour on Sunday Funday! Awesome patio for sunny days.

I have been to this place many times and I've hosted several events here. There are plenty of venues in Seattle I don't return to, but I keep coming back here. Great food, great service, great bartenders, great managers.

Stopped in at Sarajevo Lounge Tuesday for lunch and was dazzled by the open interior, cool decor, big booths lining the walls and view over Elliot Bay. As it turns out, this building used to be a movie studio owned by MGM in Seattle. The mozzarella and tomato salad was fresh and delicious with perhaps the best balsamic vinaigrette I have ever had. The french fries also were exceptional, fresh and crisp. This is my new favorite in Belltown, located just a couple doors south of Macrina Bakery. On weekends, Sarajevo Lounge is a hoppin' party and dance hot spot attracting a dedicated Euro crowd.

Groupon brought us here, and we were dissapointed. Prices are higher in the restaurant than the online menu. We had the beef gulash and the Chevapy. The beef gulash had way too much gravy and a sparce portion of meat, some of which was all fat. The Chevapy was just average sausage with bosnian style bread. The bread was good, but overall the dish lacked flavor and was below average. We came at 7pm on a Friday and were seated, served, and given food quickly. It's rare to want to tip after dissapointing food, but that definitely sums up our experience at Sarajevo.

This place is great. Service is really good, ambiance is fantastic, and food is great (from what I had, at least!). I had the flaming cheese appetizer and the meats sampler. Flaming Cheese is a 5/5 - awesome presentation and extremely tasty. Meats sampler is definitely nice and filling. Some meats were a bit overdone it felt, but it was still a nice treat. Lastly, the servers are extremely attractive and friendly, so that was a bit of sugar on top!

My favorite place to go out to! I have never had anything less than an amazing time here. Weekend nights are a blast! With lots of international nights. Always a unique experience! Weekdays are a more chill experience, with live music on Sundays and really good Bosnian food. Not your typical belltown lounge.

Where do I begin? The view on a warm, sunny Seattle day is pure magic! Sure, the viaduct stands between you and semi-pristine views of the puget sound, but that's on it's way out! Seriously, it's a great place to spend happy hour with your friends! The drinks are great and the happy hour food menu was pretty tasty. But more importantly, the bartenders were fun. They provided great service and awesome conversation in addition to food and drink recommendations. The decor is a little special. I wasn't a fan of the faux Louis Vutton seats in the bathroom and the red lighting made me feel like I was hiding out in a brothel, but all of these things can be easily overcome. Just don't go to the bathroom! Now back to that view. When the sun is shining and the breeze is blowing, they open the windows. It was seriously a great way to kick off the weekend.

I modeled in a show at Sarajevo last year and it has a really fun ambience. Their food is pretty good and they have plenty of room for dancing (especially in back). Overall it's a fairly small club which can be better for more intimate situations but can be quite close quarters when up to max capacity. They could also use a little more in the way of seating but otherwise everytime, I've been there, I've had fun.

I've been here a few times. Most recently I went to a happy hour networking event. It's such a great place to have events. It's perfect becuase there's plenty of seating and good amount of space for standing. The staff are all very friendly. The food is actually really good. Great deals if you go during happy hour.

The place look nice. A lot of hot girls, but the service horrible. I only been there once and I never going again. I went with a friend ordered 2 drinks in one bar and give 5 dollar tips each time, when I ordered my third drink in the other bar, the bartender (lady with a lot of tattoos), barely served me alcohol, of course I don't give her tip. She ignore me and finally I have the oportunity to asked her (generously), that she don't put alcohol at all. Her answer was: I served you more than a shot, if you don't like it, you can leave the club. My friend started to argue with her and she told us: if you guys don't like it GET THE FU$@ OUT, or I take you guys out myself, than she called security to take us out. I talked with the guy and he told us:let's talk outside to hear you better. When we went outside, he told the security to don't let us in and ignore us, WOW. Finally, I talked to the manager and I told him what happend and he found out that she was wrong and let us in and pay for one round. Again place look pretty, but get to pack, you can barely walk.

We came here for happy hour before dinner and it was very good. The drinks were tasty and very reasonable and the staff were super nice. There were only a few other people here probably due to the time of day. We got great service, and the bartener hung out with us and chatted about the different food they serve; he mentioned it is all made in house. I'd like to come back and try the food! The music was not too loud, and it has sort of a clubby atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, nicely decorated with lots of space to dance, and two bars back to back. Drinks were served fast and with gusto. David was great to talk to. Food- I would recommend choosing from the little menu "from back home." I had Bosnian combination which was a combo of cevapi (small beef/lamb sausages) and spicy little beef/veal sausages served with bread (lepinja) with a side of chopped onions and sour cream. I grew up eating this food and this was 8 out of 10. The best I had outside of Bosnia so far aside from my mother's cooking. DJ played great dance music but the dance floor was deserted on a Saturday night sans me. Come check out beautiful Bosnian people and other Eastern Europeans that will covet this place real soon.

  • J K.

The food is not very good. It's probably on par with Denny's food. Considering all the other food options in Belltown I would definitely recommend going somewhere else. The service was pretty slow too. The waitress was alone but there weren't many customers. It turns into a night club at night. It can be fun at times.

I've been going to Sarajevo on and off since they opened last year. This place can be on and off but the one thing I've always enjoyed are the people. Unlike most places in Belltown this isn't a typical meat market with puffed chest dudes or stuck up fashionista women. Friday and Saturday nights are a blast! But it's best to show up around 11PM-12AM if you're looking to join a crowd. As of this writing they also have Lady's night on Wednesdays which offer's $1 well drinks. The DJ's always have enough variety for everyone to enjoy the music and they typically have hip-hop/rap in the front with euro dance/pop in the back. The drinks are always strong and I've always had fast prompt service.

My husband and i went in with a friend during happy hour. They had the mexipolitan which they said was ridiculously spicy they could barely finish it. I was suprised because they both love very spicy food. We had cevape and they were delicious. No complaints. Then we ordered the tulumbe for dessert and they were horrible. Dry, stale and cruncy. A complete let down since they are my favorite dessert and remind me of my mother making them for me when i was younger.

Came in on a Saturday night, loved the music and vibe. I really enjoyed the music because it was a great mix of top 40's with older hits. When the DJ mixed Thank you (Boyz II men) straight into Poison (BBD) I almost crapped my pants. It wasn't very crowded at all unlike some of the other spots in Belltown and everyone there was happy and just looking to have a good time. BTW, no cover. It's fun factor may highly depend on the DJ that night, but definitely worth checking out during a night out in Belltown.

I haven't actually gone out out here, so this is just reviewing this place as a restaurant. The food is great and the quantity excellent for the price. I am from the Balkans, so for me it is really nice to have some food from home. The quality is pretty darn good too. I took some of my American friends here and they LOVED it. It is very approachable. There is a great selection of food like yummy cevapi (little sausages in toasty bread with pepper sauce). I also highly recommend what they call pitas, but what we at home call burek. You get them with cheese or meat and they are wrapped in filo dough. Uhhhh so delicious. For dessert you must try the palacinke. It's a balakan crepe with a delicious filling. The drinks are great too. They don't skimp on the alcohol either, but they are very smooth. The waitress recommended some things I have never tried like a Baked Alaska with some new Smirnoff Vodkas. Try it. It's great. They also have a great selection of different European and domestic beers. Our server was very friendly and warm too. The setting is definitely geared toward adults and feels like a lounge. There are low lights and even red lights in the bathroom-weird. The bar is the center piece of this place. It is comfy though. I really hope this place sticks around because I can see this place becoming a habit of mine.

Great atmosphere! Great staff! Great location! Great music and energy! It's fun, and if you've walked by, make sure you stop in and peeps it out! Thursday, Friday, or Saturday is the best for dancing, Mon - Sun, come in for a taste of Bosnia! You'll walk away full, happy, and wondering when you're going to return!

Great Bosnian Food. You must order the Mezze platter. It's an Appitizer that comes with Bosnian smoked meat. This meat is addicting! Smokey and salty, not too salty but so flavorful, I can't stop eating the stuff! Their most popular plate is probably the Cevapi ( Chelapay) it's looks like a breakfast sausage but seasoned with Bosnian spices served with chopped raw white onions and Bosnian Pita bread. I personally like their Gulash (Beef Stew) and the Mezze Platter the Best. At night this place can get pretty crackin, and they are always doing themed nights, Greek Night, Balkan night, International night, Etc. I like how diverse the crowd can be. People from all different nationalites. I love that!

Sarajevo Lounge is a unique experience! The owners are Bosnian and the place has a definite foreign vibe to it. Lots of people from different cultures. The women here are very friendly! But, they expect you to treat them nice, which includes being a gentleman and buying them a drink. If you are nice, you may get to talk, dance and expand your cultural horizons! There are 2 rooms. Up front, is the main room which spins top 40 and hip hop stuff. In the back they spin ethnic, European type tracks all night long! It's interesting to go back and forth and see the completely different scenes of people in the two rooms. Drinks and food here are good too!

I really like this place, which comes at a surprise to me because in the past several times I went to Belltown, I was unimpressed. The specialty drinks here are pretty good; I love the 9pm - 11 pm happy hour on a Saturday night. Strolled on in with my peeps as our first stop of the night and stayed long enough for a couple drinks. It got busy quick but not in an overwhelming kind of way. The bartenders were fun and the guy next to us gave us some of his food, not sure why! Can't go wrong with free sausage I guess? And it was delicious so maybe next time I'll order their food as well! Overall good place to start out a night in Belltown and not just because some dude gave us his sausage.

I had some Bosnian friends in town and we saw this place while driving around Belltown. We stopped by to sample some of the food. It was authentic and delicious, especially the cevapis. The patio seating is also very nice.

Best Bosnian food since my visit to Bosnia in 2006! The owner Dino treated me like family. Was here for my best friends wedding get together prior to the big day. Wonderful staff. Try the cevape! Ben

Fantastic Happy Hour. Half price food and drinks. Excellent service from the bartender and really tasty food. The flaming cheese was amazing! 3 drinks each, 6 dishes all for $60!! And music was perfect, each song that came on was better than the next. We had a really great experience!

Was here on Friday 3/7/2014 for dinner, getting there about 8:30pm. My gf and I split the hummus plate appetizer, the shopska salad and mixed meats platter. The food is great and if I judged dining there only on the food I would be giving 5 stars. The service was pretty awful. The place was nearly empty when we walked in, with 8:30 being a little late for dinner but rather early for the Belltown barely 21 crowd. Had to waive down the hostess and point out where we were going to sit, and there was only one other couple having dinner and two young guys at the bar drinking. Despite the loud techno music we were able to talk without having to yell at each other. Service started well, as the hostess / waitress explained the menu and got us our drinks quickly. The food came quickly and was very good. After that, we couldn't get anyone's attention to order a second drink. The waitress was busy talking - flirting - dancing with the young guys at the bar instead of paying attention to the dining room patrons. Had to waive down the waitress, which took a couple minutes, just to get a box for the leftover food and our check. While trying to get our check, the bar manager started setting up a DJ stage right in front of us but didn't bother to even look at us let alone ask how we were doing....and yes, that was while my arm was up and waiving to get the waitress's attention. Service doesn't have to be perfect for me to be perfectly content, but do not ignore your guests.

Came in Saturday during dinner time. The food is not great, service was decent. Good soundtrack, I imagine that it's probably a good place later in the night, but still hard to overlook the less than average cevaps.

Cheap happy hour (all day on Sundays), friendly servers, and oh my god, the most awesome afternoon sun on the patio... Because of it's location, the sun doesn't get blocked behind buildings as it sets, so sun is pretty much a guarantee your whole meal, unlike most other downtown spots. In addition to great Bosnian food, they have really really good fish and chips. My only real complaint is that the interior of the bar is dark, and the women's bathroom is downright creepy with its dim red lights.

I must have experienced the worst service ever! Worse than my mobile phone service in the middle of nowhere; that bad. I don't even want to describe my experience because it was soooo unorganized. Let this be an admonishment that you will be very indignantly discontent if you decide to try this place out. Fair warning.

Needs work!! And I don't mean the physical kind, because their spot is choice with a great view of the sound, and the interior still has the nice look of the former Del Rey. However, the staff isn't quite up to snuff. When me and a friend went in, we found there were no drink menus and there didn't seem to be the standard happy hour deal -- not a huge problem, but the day after your grand opening....seems a little odd. Additionally, you shouldn't have to give the waitress your drink order three times; at least she came back to make sure she had it right. However, there was only one other table of people there at the time. If it weren't for the genuine friendliness of the staff, it would be a one-star. So hopefully they'll buck up their game over the first few months they're open.

Fantastic place to bring your girlfriends for dancing and they make amazing drinks! The bartenders are friendly and quick! That's a plus + in my book at a night club. They also have a Euro section in the back which has a fabulous place to dance and in the front great top 40's music with an amazing DJ and you can also enjoy authentic wonderful Bosnian Food at Sarajevo's. I would suggest the Cevapi from the menu and the best part is that the staff are just Amazing and very friendly! I really can't say enough about this place :) I have not been to their happy hour yet but this is on my to do list! I must confess I have been here 4 times already :) This is by far the best night club in Seattle thus far and in Bell town too.. If your looking for something classy, trendy, friendly, and fun this is your place

This place is definitely coming together very nicely. I have been here a handful of times and it just gets better and better each time. The Cevapi on the menu are a MUST! The pita bread that they are served in is absolutely delicious, none definitely goes to waste at our table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Came here for my birthday on a Saturday night. Food was absolutely terrible! Got the meat and cheese plate, and they served American Cheese! Are you F ing serious? What a waste of $. Also even though my boyfriend left them a tip, they decided to add their own $10 for themselves. Do they think we wouldn't have noticed? What a joke. Don't recommend this place to anyone! And definitely not coming back especially since they like to add their own tip.

Does anyone notices how things work on Yelp? The REAL consumer review gets posted, and if it's pretty bad, the business rushes to create (at least 2) phony consumers' reviews with 5-star ratings. Well, gues what, your restaurant sucks and that is the truth!!! I am not sure where you find any justification to charge so much for any of your less-than-mediocre items on the menu??? Please wake up, and walk the neighborhood to check out what great (full) meals can be indulged for $11-12. It seems you have no intention for repetative guests. "Try our food and do not come back; we are too expensive to become your regular place!!!" Please....

Wasn't too excited to go out, but this place really changed that around! The drinks were great! The service was quick! I took all of 2 minutes to get 2 drinks! Yekta, the manager is an extremely nice and outgoing guy! The outdoor patio is a HUGE plus, and there is a TON of seating, so you aren't forced to stand, or fight for a couple bar stools! A+, will come back here for sure!

I usually like this place not just because I'm Bosnian but because their food is really good. Service went downhill since they lost few of really nice waitresses. We went there few days ago and it took the waitress like 20 minutes to figure out we were there. Then took forever for our food to come out. My wife and I got this mixed meat plate which is great but for some reason they didn't give us the whole bread (lepinja) basket but just half. We had to pay to get more which I don't think was the case when we were there before. Advice, give whole lepinja with whatever dish. So all in all I'm going with 4 stars hoping you will improve on little things and while your new waitstaff is cute and pretty they could also be little more efficient in serving folks. We usually stay for coffee and desserts but this time we decided it was time to go; especially when you're out with a small child. Also maybe you should hire a busboy or something of that nature. You can't expect your wait staff to do everything. Doesn't matter if your food is good if your service sucks. Train your staff or make sure good people don't leave you so soon. I'm sure we'll be back here but I'm not sure I'll be going as often as we used to. I guess I'll start visiting that other Bosnian restaurant in Tukwila again.

My friend and I intended to visit this restaurant yesterday to much of surprise: the sign said "Open", but the restaurant was closed. There were no hours of operation, so both of us had to return home. The web site does not exist (yet), and there must be some info on the Facebook....but not everyone has (or wants to) have a Facebook page in order to view such a basic info as to when a restaurant is open... Not very responsible by the owner(s). .... :((

We went to Saturday lunch. The restaurant has great seating inside and out and a clean comfortable look. We ordered the flaming cheese, beef kabob and lamb burger. Everything was delicious. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The bread was flavorful. The food presentation on the serving planks is quite appealing. Our server was a strong believer that all menu items are amazing and he made believers out of us. We are planning to return and bring friends. It's well worth returning time and time again.

After a friend & I walked around trying to find a great place for happy hour, we stumbled across this hidden gem since every where was closed. It sounds bad that this would be our last resort but I have to say we were pretty impressed! I mean, I ended up bringing a different friend who was visiting from Alaska for happy hour a couple weeks later. 1st time service was so bad, the lady seems like she had other things on her mind, she forgot to put in our order as well as the customers next to us. The customers she took an order after us got their food before we did. 2nd time the service was great, I think he's the bartender too. He was in work mode, working by himself during a busy happy hour time. But he was on it, even had a little time to chat with us. The drinks were pretty good, food was great! 1st time ordered Balkan sliders & Gyro Sliderd. 2nd time I ended up ordering same thing to share & my friend ordered a pasta dish she really enjoyed. Next time I'll have to try their Kebabs & possibly check out their nightclub part of Sarajevo Lounge.

After much thought as to which Happy Hour to choose from amongst the array of options on 1st Ave in Belltown, I am satisfied that I chose this establishment. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigiot for $5 on the Happy Hour menu that was served as an extremely generous pour, above the average portion for a glass of wine! I also ordered the Hummus platter, Bruchetta appetizer and Falafel plate, all of which had a delicious zest of seasoning and well developed flavor. The setting was a warm summer day, enjoying the sunshine on the patio while vigorously watching people bustle by on the busy streets. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the Belltown area and for a solid Happy Hour meal under $30 for two people!

Sarajevo has tasty food, and is a good place to go if you want to go dancing in Belltown! Tips: - For food- Groupon/LivingSocial/AmazonLocal almost always have a deal for their food/drinks - Sarajevo employees are super nice - Fridays are Latin music night (yay)! - The place turns into a dance club after 11pm...like at 11pm on the dot. It's a fun place to go with your friends for dancing

I always stop by here for a quick lunch before work. Everytime I go, I am greeted by Brian and the lunch specials are always recommended. Soccer games are on to watch if you are a sports fan. On a nice day go grab a seat out front would you?

Ace cocktails, lots of space for downtown / belltown, back bar, great fresh food, circulating chef menu. It combines some of the best elements of bars and competent restaurants into one cozy booth big vista restaurant. They have TVs for the sports people..... I have only been here mid-day for lunch and drinks so not sure if it goes full freak zone at night :) (thats not a bad thing for everyone) They also have a different dinner menu which I haven't seen.

Marshall Tito eyed me with great suspicion and hesitation as I entered his domain, and I steeled myself with resolve to complete my mission and stay focus. My mission was a beer and a bite, and his name is probably not Tito. Wait, what? Im referring to the manager and possibly the Bosian owner of the establishment. Although he looked as out of place in his all green sweater (how i figure hes not a Native American...wait, what?) as Josip Broz in any civilian clothes, it was St Pattys day weekend just as Tito was also a family guy...right? Luckily i entered with success but to avoid suspicion (doesnt matter if you did or plan to do anything) i accepted th bitburger rather than the Stella I asked for. It was ok, which is as good as s duitsbier can get. I got the menus from...ok, tito might be offensive to some, though i consider.him the greatest.politicians ever, and among the greatest military stragetists...anf dude just stood around, looking around, not doing.much but looking imtelligent...lets just make up a random slavic name....dimitar berbatov...i got the memus from dimi and a happy hour menu from my server, lets.call him Brian. as with all authoritarian regines, worker bees are usually very helpful and friemdly. Brian was certainly today. i ordered the meat.platter, or meat plate, or meat something else (no giggeties! only i do that!) which wasnt on the lunch, daily, or happy hour menu. let ne stop here. happy hour, on a saturday, after noon and aound noon...awesome! they have quite the compregensive.hh schedule! but i digress, and i know youre all waiting for the big juicy meat.coming (go ahead...) so here it is: chicken and beef kebab, two types of sausages, fries, and a warm soft bread.that was quite.moist inside (giggety). it really is for two people but i sometimes bring it like that (suppllemental giggety cus its true). nice gastropub without calling itself.that. ill be back.

I looked at the pictures and I thought the place is more of bar-kind of place than a proper restaurant. Once you walk in, it does feel a bit more modern lounge than restaurant but it was not noisy or crowded on a weekday evening. The menu favors meat eaters so vegetarians be warned. The service was outstanding, maybe because the waiter was flirting with my dinner companion (she was ok with it). The food was a bit late so the kitchen ended up sending a free appetizer to keep us in a good mood. I was surprised that their water glasses are plastic, nice looking but still plastic. The bread is really good, like a very puffy and soft round baked pie?

Great place to have some authentic Balkan food. It's one of those deceiving places where you think the place will be mediocre and only because on the weekends it turns into a club however the food is super authentic and extremely tasty! The manager was so helpful and friendly it was a pleasure to be there. A few imported beers and a Huuuuge Balkan platter made our night.

Sarajevo is a nice stop for happy hour, though there are some things that I wasn't too thrilled about. The server was extremely artificial. But, this is coming from someone who's been in a customer-racing role for a long time and I do have high standards for service. Mad-dogging (is that a CA term) is not cool. Just, no. Hummus plate was tasty! Large portion of pita bread, hummus, pepperoncini, cheese, and vegetables. High quality stuff. The Balkan Burger on the other hand... is easily top 5 of worst burgers I've had. Maybe this is my ignorance with Balkan food, but the patty seemed so perfectly formed and the meat was "matted" to the point it looked like it was a frozen patty. The texture tasted far worse. I'm not convinced what I had was even beef. Mozzarella sticks are worth trying, though I can't recall ever having a bad fried cheese stick. The restaurant itself has an odd stale feel to it that is hard to describe. It seems there is no real theme to the place and nothing outstanding about it. I have to come back because I have a Groupon here that I couldn't used on this visit - my next trip, I'll be sure to avoid the burger.

Top weird things about Sarajevo: 1. Their loquacious, hot-and-cold daytime waiter. He disappears for long periods of time, acts like you're an inconvenience if you ask for help, then talks your ear off. He scolded me for waiting until the end of the meal to mention I had a gift certificate, then told me that he had done the same at another restaurant. Weird. 2. During lunch and early evening, when other nearby establishments are hopping, the Sarajevo is always deserted. And it's a big space. How to they afford to pay the bills? 3. Cevapi, the sausages they're known for, according to the loquacious waiter are...weird. They look like and have the texture of frozen supermarket sausages - but have far less flavor, and possibly more grease. I tried to like them, really I did, but they were incredibly bland. 4. The beer list is almost entirely lagers. They're eastern European, of course, which is interesting, but there's not much else to choose from if you're not into lagers. I bet it's a good place to watch a futbal game, though - there are quite a few large TVs always playing a match.

This place is awesomely weird. First of all it's huuuuge, and has lots of empty space, and a bunch of really fancy leather booths. There are enormous HD tv's, usually with sports on. The food is pretty good--a mix of bar food and fancy stuff, like a greasy lamb burger and also a hummus plate with plump pickled peppers and feta served on a fancy cutting board. Our waiter was really great, but felt guilty about some unknown thing and gave us some gift certificates, which I forgot there anyway. Prices are fair.

When I first saw the name of this place, while searching for Belltown restaurants, I had to try it since I wasn't sure if I had Eastern Bloc food before. so we went there and right before we found a parking spot, we circled around the front of it and looked at the patio area. it looked empty and kind of dingy, dusty like. Sort of turned me off, but we found a spot and went in regardless. the inside is a different story. The interior decor is modest but fancy in its own way, and very spacious. its "Feng Shui" is on point. Our server was very nice but felt like she needed to break down every little thing which got kind of annoying. The bartender kept destroying the mellow ambience with these meathead grunts and yells that seem to pertain to nothing. He just had the look of "you say name, I pour drink". I'll say that the Platter for 2 was awesome tasting, especially the lamb (omg) but the serving size was lacking for the price. I ordered a glass of Fetzer wine before realizing that's some bottom of the barrel wine and quickly changed it to a Croatian beer called Jele I think. It was decent, but being from OR, we are spoiled with the world's most tastiest beer, so my nose went up on that offering. The lamb was the only thing that stood out because of it's fresh, extra gamey taste. I'll give this place another try because I really like the layout and atmosphere, but I'll go with the Gyro and maybe another brand of beer to stay in budget. 1 wine + 1 beer + Meat Platter (with Lamb substitute) + 2 salads = $66

This is a pretty fun place. The waiter we had made it that way. They may be understaffed but he really keeps the joint running. Great sense of humour and good guidance with the menu. The flaming cheese is easily a standout and you can never argue with the meat platter! Will be back for sure. The website looks pretty ghetto though.

Excellent happy hour! Good deals on drinks and a nice-sized happy hour food menu. These tapas-style happy hour menus are becoming a favourite of mine here in Seattle. I like to get samplings of all sorts of dishes and not feeling stuffed afterwards. Tasty choices from the menu on this particular visit included: falafel, sarajevo potatoes, and the hummus plate. All were delicious! We ordered a bottle of the house chardonnay, Fetzer's. Normally $20 or so, the price at happy hour was only $15. Good wine for the price and it complimented our food selection.

I have nothing but the best to say about this establishment. I celebrated my birthday at Sarajevo Lounge and my 22 girlfriends and I had a blast! We had great seating, music was great and we felt very comfortable. Even I danced. From the service and staff, to drinks and food, I am very happy.

I loved this place, for a lot of different reasons. Not necessarily in any order. 1) The view. Look out, stare at the puget sound. Amazing. Related: The breeze. It was a hot day, but being right there on the water? Cool breeze with a view. 2) The food. We went with the 'Happy Hour' small plates which allowed us to try 5 different things for roughly $36.00. We both walked away full, and all of the dishes were ... WONDERFUL. Really, enjoyable dishes that were both tasty and satisfying at a reasonable cost. 3) The staff. Our waitress, whose name I failed to get, was wonderful. I don't often leave a 45% tip, but when I do it's because it was the best service I ever had. The girl had blonde hair, and I believe wearing a grey dress of sorts and leggings. This was on 8-27-2015 around hm, 4:00 pm? I hope this doesn't sound creepy, but I mention in hopes that if the owner or manager of the establishment sees this review, they realize they have a great employee who really made the experience there 5 stars. She was very friendly without being awkward, I don't think my drink was ever empty, a finished plate never sat too long, and she was great with both her recommendations and timing. Really, just wonderful. So, definitely eat here. You will actually be missing out if you don't.

I came out to Seattle on vacation! I have to say this is one of the best Bosnian restaurants I've been to! Great service. The food can be a little expensive. I suggest splitting a dish due to the large portion they give you. Other than that this place is also really clean. You get what you pay for.

Only complaint I have was I was the second person in there for Happy Hour (but it did start to fill in with more people). The bartender and the waitress, Maya, were great hosts and made me feel welcomed. The beers and drinks were a good selection. The food was really good and big small-plates. The place is designed to be a club more than a restaurant but its a place you would enjoy being at.

There's not a no star choice. Terrible service. No, I can't say that. NO service. We were ignored at the bar while people that came after us we're served. 20 minutes after sitting down we left. Glad I had a $5 to pay for my beer.

Had a great lunch there. Lamb kebab with hummus, rice, and wonderful bread. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Food arrived on a wooden plank and looked great...it tasted even better. The lamb had been marinated and grilled with pepper and onion pieces separating the large lamb pieces. It was perfect. The rice was a long grain white river that had an awesome flavor. Now that bread...it was terrific...need to go back to try that again. Great afternoon treat.

Another hard review to write. As with a lot of places recently I wanted, I mean really wanted to give this place a 4th star but just couldn't in the end. Anyway, let's get to the review. The service was very slow, but very cordial. The waiter was very nice and extremely outgoing, but it was slow. Now, let me put a little note in here. Some reviews harp about how long the wait was, ect ect. So when I say slow service, it does mean slow. If you get your food right after you place the order I can guarantee you that your food is a marriage between mr. microwave and bag x. Overall though, the friendliness of the staff really went a long way towards making me feel better about what i thought was slow service. I had ordered a drink, which was REALLY good, 5 stars on that one, an appetizer, baked brie with figs and a traditional eastern european dish, sarma, which is a cabbage roll type of meal. The appetizer was really good, but boy were they stingy on the figs, if they had put just a few more fig pieces on the brie it would have been 5 stars for that one too. The main meal is the one I had the most issues with. It was good, really good, but the rolls really seemed like they were something you would get from a can or bag. They were not special and a bit generic tasting. Now, I am holding the sarma to a higher standard than most, there are several versions of sarma from the serbian/croatia area and they are a lot more flavorful and savory say than what I got. What I got was good, but not great. In summation let me say that I think this is a 4/5 star restaurant on a 3 star night. It is definitely someplace I would go again and give a second try, and If I am in town again I probably will. So I would recommend that you give this place a try! I think they are a LOT better than the meal I got and I'm willing to go out on a limb on this review.

My son and I were there the other night and had a nice time. The atmosphere is relaxed and the wait staff very accommodating. The service was prompt and our waitress answered all our questions about the menu. Since I had never eaten this type of food, I had a lit of questions. I would have given four stars just for the service we received but the burger I ordered was just OK. I didn't try there most popular dish but I will go back again and give them another try. Overall, the experience was pleasant and I look forward to going back and trying the Shevapi Dinner.

Awesome happy hour, great night life, delicious food. We were looking for an alternative to List out of a need for variety. We stumbled upon this little gem at happy hour and realized we'd been previously for a friend's birthday. Service was enjoyable and the food was solid. The medallions were "meh" , loved the gyro.

Entered on a dark, wet, and somber Wednesday night and we were the only customers in the place! Waitress was cleaning and directed us to a table. Good vibe inside. Very clean, cool bar with nice ambience and blue lighting. Oddly there's a huge flat screen playing MLB Network (on mute) while jazz vocals were playing throughout the joint. Strange. On to the important, that is, the food. Used our 30 dollar Groupon (no problem accepting it here, waitress was totally familiar with it) to buy one meat platter (22 bucks) and one small chevapi (total was 29 dollars). Food arrived maybe 15-20 min after we ordered and was all very warm, freshly cooked. We loved it all actually. Totally recommend the meat platter. Awesome veal sausages (spicy), chevapi rocked (the bread, OMFG), nicely marinated chicken. The steak was overcooked (well done) and the hamburger patty, not much to say, it's a hamburger patty. Also came with fries, which was weird to say the least. The sour cream dip and the red pepper dip were terrific. Definitely different than most American food and totally worth trying out. Felt like a cool place that really just needs customers. They put some money into the joint that's for sure. Would definitely go back, though I'd likely not pay 22 bucks for the meat platter. Stick with the chevapi...the small size at 7 bucks was a pretty good value. They have maybe 6 beers on tap and a full service bar. Our waitress also served as the bartender. She was nice and seemed like she was probably Bosnian herself as she looked and sounded Eastern European. She was in her 20's...more of a 20-something kind of place. Good food, good vibe. If you get a Groupon chance, definitely take it here.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food. The happy hour was awesome, and the diverse selection of European beers was nice. And the couches. *sigh* The couches are cushy. This is officially my new favorite happy hour and it should be yours too!

New in town and found this spot. Great for Latin music, great drinks and friendly staff. The crowd here is not trashy, I always have a great time here. Definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting a great night club experience. OH! Friday night is Latin night Saturday is ... Armenian night I believe.

Worst "music venue " I've ever been to. Try having more than 8 lounge seats, and spare some chairs for non performers (paying customers). Rude, abrasive, unhelpful staff. Flat draft beer. Flat Sprite (really??!) Cold calimari, and overpriced (like the rest of the menu). Yeah, if you're in Belltown, don't bother.

Most authentic bosnian / balkan food i've had since visiting Bosnia. Definitely coming back. Get the cevapi or sliders.

Food here was extremely good. Wife and I both ordered lamb. I had the lamb burger, which while very delicious, was not as good a choice as the kebab, which is what she got. Hers came with a variety of sauces and basmati rice which I wanted to eat all of. The bread was also something I had never had, and was enjoyable. The server (who was polite and attentive) also recommended the crepes, saying a lot of people came there for them, and I can see why, because we ordered a plate and devoured it.
