I work nearby and have been closely following construction of the restaurant and was excited to try it out. A group of 8 of us, not a huge group, went for lunch. The menu is expensive for lunch, and although they offer half portions, a fist-sized portion of pasta is $9. Be that as it may, the service and timing of courses is terrible. We arrived at noon and were offered (what turned out to be gratis) bread. It did not arrive until over 10 min later. We were only offered one service for a large table. We were one of 3 parties in the place, and outnumbered by staff. When we ordered food, it took 40 minutes to deliver. Having a one hour lunch hour, this left no time for some to eat. Paying was an ordeal as the waitress couldnt remember what we ordered. Other choice aspects of this place: Loud owner (?), host talking on phone near the tables and when we were 'greeted', and wait staff that cant pronounce the menu items or even know what is in them in English. And despite having high end decor, paper napkins. !!! If you are in the area, go to the Alibi Room or Zig Zag. Far superior service and food.

A couple of evenings ago my son and I took my wife to Roberto's. It was my wife's birthday. I had a 5 star experience. Was welcomed into the restaurant by Roberto's. We weren't rushed. Very very relaxed. Roberto suggested a few menu items - all fantastic. What was good: the wine choices, wild boar half pasta, out of this world ciopinno. Tiramisu and the zabioni were the best I have had. My son had the bone-in ribeye. Better than Gaucho's, Met etc. Our waitress had a sweet accent. Roberto was very attentive and a very gracious host. The staff gathered to sing happy birthday to my wife. It was late when we left; and Roberto escorted us to our Uber. Recommend this restaurant to all. I am going to go back again soon.

My wife and I enjoyed a late happy hour here. The food was great and the staff was super friendly. We sat at the bar. AJ, the bartender, made a perfect Negroni. We'll definitely return sometime soon!

Awesome service. One of the people I was with was obsessed with the bread and dip (which was amazing) and was very annoyingly always asking for more. The waiter was very accommodating and brought us a ton! Great ambiance. Food was very good. I had a Caesar salad which was solid. Then had the bucatini amatriciana which was a good sauce but the pasta itself was only okay, very hard to twirl. I didn't have dessert but they looked gorgeous and I tried the nutella crepes which were very good. I'd definitely go back, and the location is kind of hidden and cool while being right in the heart of pike's place.

The bolongese had a nice balance of flavor and wasn't to heavy which made for a perfect lunch before I had to head into the office. The ambience was really nice and relaxing especially in the glass room at the Pike Place Market. Also service was very attentive and knowledgeable!

We visited Roberto's last week while in Seattle and were very impressed!! Living near Boston, we are able to enjoy some amazing Italian food in the North End, but Roberto's was truly stellar despite being open for only a few days prior to our visit. The vibe is swanky with lots of windows and even open-air bar seating. We had the calamaretti and the Caprese salad as an appetizer (hey, we were hungry). The calamaretti were delicious - perfectly cooked and super tender. But the Caprese salad was just incredible. The full service is served on a large Himalayan salt block and has buratta (sp?) mozzarella and beautiful heirloom tomatoes. Best Caprese I have ever eaten (and I am currently looking for my own salt block to try this at home). Our entrees were the Spaghetti frutti di mare (which included homemade spaghetti and mussels, clams, shrimp, etc) and the see bass which was served in garlic-lemon white wine sauce. Both were amazing and the plating of the sea bass was especially impressive. Lastly, the drinks were great and included nice heavy pours of champagne and wine (which is how we roll) so we were definitely in our happy place! If I had to guess, I could easily see this place becoming one of the hottest places in the city. We will definitely be back next time in town!

The service was a solid 4 star, unfortunately the food was a 2. We were seated in the glass gazebo area at 6:15 and the sunset was in full swing. We started with the calamari fritti and the meatballs for an appetizer, and a couple of glasses of the house chianti. The basil sauce that came with the calamari was outstanding, however the calamari was slightly undercooked and the spicy marinara wasn't spicy or particularly seasoned at all. I cut into one of the meatballs, it was crispy on the outside but raw in the middle. The waiter commented that the kitchen had been doing that all day when he took them away with an apology. That's not a good sign... Our dinner was the veal shank with saffron risotto, and I ordered the risotto special of the evening with shrimp, bay scallops, clams, mussels, and spinach. My husband's veal was fine, but had no seasoning, and his risotto was prepared much better than mine. The side of carrots were delicious. My dinner had serious issues. The risotto was undercooked, had way too much spinach to the point of making it overwhelmingly herbacious. It also had a lot of raw garlic added to it. The shrimp were the baby shrimp size and had no flavor. Perhaps I misremembered what the dish was supposed to come with, but it didn't have a single clam or mussel either. We ordered some espresso and a tiramisu to share to finish the night. The tiramisu had all the right flavors, however the lady fingers were crunchy and custard had not set and was runny to the point of pouring off my spoon in a stream. Our waiter was excellent and we never lacked for water or more wine. I felt the outdoor gazebo area needs some lighting though. It was dark by the time dinner arrived and I was squinting to try to see what was in my risotto. The tiny candle on the table didn't help. They've only been open for 6 weeks, hopefully they can work out the kinks and get some flavor and consistency in the food.

Best Italian food I found in Seattle. Ordered Alla Carbonara for dinner and Zabaglione for dessert. Seriously love this restaurant.

I waited for the restaurant to open for several months as they built it and brought in a great 'celebrity chef'' (Christopher Covelli) to work out a menu and train the kitchen. It was worth the wait, but I did notice some issues in the comments, which I believe will be sorted out by Roberto himself. This is not a pizza parlor and the total bill is worthy of a top rated Italian restaurant. I think it delivers. The OSSO BUCO is amazing. Polenta con Salsiccia e Peperoni is another one of my favorites. CAPRESE MODERNA on its pink slab of salt was impressive. The Zabaglione was Roberto's own recipe and was perfect. Another dessert was not familiar to me, Citrus Semifreddo, but it will definitely be ordered again when I return. The young Happy Hour crowd stayed in a room with glass walls and a pitched glass roof. It seemed like a party.

What a thrill to find Roberto's! A group of us who meet every couple months in a downtown restaurant decided we needed a new venue. Roberto's was our new restaurant of choice to meet over Happy Hour. We had a fantastic experience! The restaurant is beautiful, the dinnerware sublime and the food...artfully presented and absolutely delicious. AJ, our server, was delightful, attentive and spoiled us with whatever we needed (which with my dietary restrictions was a challenge if not a pain). Roberto warmly greeted us and the entire staff graciously catered to our every want, comfort and need. Looks like we have a new place for our future meetings. In the meantime, can't wait to go back and experience a full dining experience. Va bene, Roberto! HIGHLY recommend.

This place is comically bad. I give it that 2nd star simply because it makes me smile to recall how bad the execution is there. To be fair, the service isn't lacking in any meaningful way; probably on par with most chain restaurants (i.e. Applebees). Our waiter was nice but forgot a few things and struggled with recommending/describing items on the wine list. Again, fine if you're charging $15-$20 per entree but at $30-$50, I believe the service ought to match that price point. It was really the food that sets this place apart from other restaurants in its price point - not the menu, mind you, it has some great stuff but the execution is, as stated about, laughably bad. We were a party of 6 and none of us finished our meals. My "veal" was a tough and dried out pork (?) chop with wrinkled prosciutto sealed around it. My seasonal vegetables were bulk baby-carrots (you know those round-ended, symmetrical ones that come in big bags?), cut in half and barely warmed. my appetizer was "flatbread" which more closely resembled a pizza-pocket that had been pried open and flattened. Anyway, I bear the place no malice, the mood was friendly and unpretentious. The place really ought to be an irish pub - that service, quality control and food quality would be bang-on and the mood would be a good fit. Until this place changes to being an Irish pub, however, I would recommend against dining here or at least check your expectations at the door (you can't check your coat here btw.)

I was referred to this place by a coworker and I was not disappointed. AJ was our server and she was fantastic. She had recommendations for everything from pasta to wine. The quality of the food was amazing as well. AJ was charismatic and cute and myself and my boyfriend both adored her. We would come in to see her again for sure.

I'm disappointed. As a resident of Pike Place Market I was excited about this new spot opening up. However, I have had a few disappointing experiences with Robertos thus far. - inconsistent hours: even though they are supposed to serve food til 11 and drinks til 2, I've tried them before 10 a few times and have been greeted by a locked door. Don't venture out here unless you know they are open. - Roberto! Personable owner, but sleazy... Talked me and my boyfriend into getting an appetizer without mentioning it was $30!!! I'm sorry, you mention a price if it's that steep for an appetizer I hope they will start catering to locals as well as tourists instead of acting as a tourist trap. I'm done seeing the staff hassling people to come in. It's just obnoxious

Really enjoyed the food! We ordered the Caprese and it was fantastic - and was served on a solid block of salt, which not only salted the tomatoes perfectly as you scooped them up, but also added a cool effect, haven't seen that done anywhere else. I also tried the Tortellini en Brado soup - and the tortellini was fresh hand made and the broth was outstanding. I had the Risotto with seafood (prawns, clams, and mussels) and it was very solid. And the Tiramisu for dessert did not disappoint either. The ambiance was good- at one point the music was a little loud but they immediately noticed and turned it down. Service was great, they visited and checked in with us frequently. And it was great to meet Roberto himself, always a nice touch to have a present and enthusiastic owner.

Absolutely beautiful location and space. and that is about it. there wasn't a dish we ordered that tasted fresh or even good. the seafood even tasted off. service was just average and was mostly shocked with the pacing of service and the fact that our table was about a half inch off level. skip it.

Went there this last weekend... We kinda just gave up looking for restaurants in the pike market cause everything was basically closed Or too busy. I can't tell you if I liked the Decor or not. It looked nice but it just wasn't practical, plastic chairs just didn't do it for me. We proceeded to order. Nothing spoke to me but the calamari which by the way was the best thing we had. I then wanted to be safe and ordered a full Caesar salad and my friend got the pepperoni pizza. When I received my salad I was not impressed. I asked for a full but it looked like a side salad... Maybe a cup and a half of romain lettuce. But I started to eat it. I put a crouton in my mouth and it was very stale! No crunch what's so ever, I thought well maybe it was just that one. Lol nope! It was all of them. My friend tried one and had to spit it out! I sent it back. The owner came by and apologized for the salad and wanted to know if I wanted something else. I ordered the soup of the day which was a good comfort lentil soup and that was all I Cared to order... My friends pepperoni pizza came with my soup and we still laugh about the pizza because it was tasty BUT I swear it was just like a Tostino's 99 cent pizza you get at Winco! So... If I ever want to go back to Roberto's for any reason I will just go to Winco and buy myself a Tostino's pizza and save myself 12 bucks! Will not be going here again. Save yourself some time and just go across the street and go to the Crab Pot!

Went on Valentine's Day and had a horrible experience. Food took over an hour for everyone, never got our drinks, and was sat right next to the kitchen where I was getting bumped by servers all night. I couldn't even hear my date. The meal was not bad, but just do not go to this restaurant on a busy night. Horrible management.

While not perfect, Roberto's was the most exciting delight I've had in a long time with eclectic classics and creative originals that are authentic in principles, excitingly assembled into a value filled tour-de-force menu, well executed, in a romantic setting. In our first day in Seattle I made my wife promise that we would eat at a crab house. But on our way to Pike Market we got lost and exited the Pike Market elevator on the 2nd floor, where we ran into Roberto's, which is kind of hidden. The friendly waiter directed us back on course but not before we noticed that they had a nice dining space with a bar for aperitivo. The most appealing part of the inside dining space (they also have a nice modernistic 3 season room with diffused lighting perfect for a sunny evening) was the charming old white muntined windows that line the main table space. While it's too bad being so close to the ocean that you don't have an ocean view, overlooking the street is cool anyway and would pass in any city. Well when we returned for that aperitivo, all I could say is, WOW! I was blown away by the menu and knew it was the real deal! My wife, who is from Italy and whose father is a chef, would normally not consider any Italian menu with misspellings for what it indexes, was equally impressed and excited. We decided to stay for dinner. These are not just either classic or principally authentic Italian dishes, the items on the menu here are often very creative and exciting in their preparation and combinations. Surprisingly they even have good Piadine (like tortilla sandwiches) and exciting pizzas to choose from for a lunch. Take the Paradiso (tomato proscuitto and figs), Garibaldi (house made walnut pesto & mozzarella), or Giotto (gorgonzola cheese, pears and truffle oil) pizzas, or the Olive all'ascolana with caramelized onions piadina as examples. These are in addition to classics that inspire confidence and provide security on a menu, which depend on simply the best freshest ingredients, such as Margherita pizza or the Diavola (riccardo and piccante on this menu). Perfectly diverse options. One of the best parts are the full or half options, so you can have more samplings. 7 exciting and classic bruschette to choose from and 11 exciting and creative antipasti. Pastas and the land-based principle dishes are impressive and exciting. Though, especially in Summer on a nice day, we were too close to the ocean to have meat! The seafood dishes often utilize super fresh local varietals of seafood instead of the classics from the Mediterranean. We sequentially enjoyed: With "Bianco di Custoza" from Veneto- mussels in a saffron cream sauce, baked stuffed clams (incorrectly labeled vongole on the menu, they are actually cape sante), black squid ink fettucini with a saffron white wine cream sauce with clams and baby octopus, garlic, olive oil and parsley, Alaskan Halibut Roberto with pesto and sundried tomatoes. With a nice moscato grappa- Torta della nonna (which turned out to be a delicious kind of cheesecake, not typical from Italy which usually has dried cakes as torts della nonna), espresso caffe umbria, nebbiolo grappa aged 5 years The chef also allowed us to sample the tiramisu and a cannolo. The tiramisu was very good, but a little too sweet with not enough coffee. They may have used a sweeter whipped cream instead of mascarpone though, which would have been lighter. The cannolo failed only because the ricotta was not good, typical problem for ricotta in the US. The seafood was all incredibly fresh and exceptionally delicious. Our sever, Tom, was welcoming and enthusiastic. He never interrupted our conversation. His only mistakes were one suggestion for some kind of milky sauce on a seafood plate (which we then wouldn't have then been able to taste); having to ask for the origins of the individual seafood; and taking 15m to get us our coffee. Some things were a level of service below the refinement of the menu. For example, he could top off our wine glasses and handled a chilled white bottle more appropriately, he insisted we keep flatware between courses rather than replacing them for us, and no one ever tended to our water glasses. As for the bad: there weren't menus outside the door, the place calls itself Venetian and they don't know how to make either an Aperol or Venetian Spritz, and the items I mentioned above. And $16 for a shot of grappa?!? After the great value in each dish it is insulting. $8-$10 would be consistent with the value of the rest of the menu. $64 for four shots when our total was $199. The bartender blamed it on Washington liquor taxes but I think the real reason is, seeing how all the bottles were new, no one ordered them before and it wasn't in the computer. They charged me for four "open liquor" on the receipt it wasn't even listed as grappa. I felt taken advantage of. Overall a beautiful vacation evening we'll remember.

Soooooo Disappointed. One of the worst . The one star is for our waiter who was really nice and obviously had a rough night. The food was really just bad. Went there for Valentines. Twice my reservation didn't show up in their system, but they were nice and seated us anyway. Our waiter explained that it had been a crazy night so far, understandable. We were seating and honestly, no one looked happy. We had gotten the Valentine Menu, ordered the Pesto and the regular Bruschetta. Both were really bland , we had to put salt and pepper on them. Ordered the Cesar Salad, really bland.. hardly any dressing or parmesan cheese and the lettuce was a bit wilted. Then we ordered the pasta with boar meat and the veal entree. The pasta was just blah with hardly any sauce.. dry and tasteless. The Veal meat was cook ok i guess.. tasted boiled.. The tomato sauce over it was like, canned tomato chunks with no flavoring at all.. it was just BAD FOOD. We were supposed to get dessert but my boyfriend said that we should just leave and get Dick's Burgers. I agreed. When we walked out the Maitre D asked how the food was and I was honest. I told him the food wasn't good, the pasta was dry, the veal was tasteless, but the service was nice. He said that when we come back, it will be better.. Yeah sure.. when we come back.. Didn't offer a comp or anything.. The best part of the night was the Prosecco we got when we were seated and the validated parking. That was a $139 meal.. down the drain.. we will NEVER be coming back.. We even went to QFC afterwards and my QFC salad alone was more flavorful than the whole meal. Such a bummer.. had high hopes. Looks like we will be going to The Pink Door next year..or just QFC again.

Outdoor dining near the waterfront and amid the Pike Place Market activity. Atmosphere is clean and modern. The specials all sounded good: scallops with pea puree and polenta cakes, duck breast, halibut... I'd go back for drinks in the bar overlooking the waterfront.

Ate here again for the second time this past weekend - food was absolutely delicious! I'm a fish snob, but the halibut was spectacular.. and of course you'd expect the pasta to be excellent (which it was). I also had a taste of the meatballs.. holy jeebus.

Beautiful new restaurant in Pikes Market. The location is great with open windows and lots of light. The food is just ok. We just got back from being in Italy for 2 weeks and was excited to try this place. We tried a few different bruschetta's. The trofie con pesto was a huge disappointment, it had no flavor. I was excited to see it on the menu since we spent a lot of time in Liguria. My husband tried their pizza and that was probably the best thing on the menu. The menu is pretty large and sometimes that takes away from the quality of the food. They put micro greens on every dish we got?

Fantastic atmosphere and great food! I enjoyed the 1/2 order of Fettuccine Vongole E Polpo Di Murano which was Black Squid ink infused Fettuccine graced with a Saffron Cream sauce with 6 clams basking in a white wine sauce. Also in the happy pool of deliciousness was baby octopus, garlic, olive oil and fresh parsley Our bartender Sean was great fun too and knows how to pour! We will be back!

I somewhat stumbled across Robertos as I was looking for a place to eat near the stadiums. The caprese salad was very good - and this is coming from someone who grows their own tomatoes and basil. It is served on a salt block which was really interesting. I then had a half order of the pasta bolognese which was pretty good as the pasta was not overdone. Really solid pasta dish. Finally, I had the Osso Buco which was very good as well. The risotto wasn't perfect, but then again risotto is not an easy dish. All in all, a very good experience, service was outstanding and if you want something other than the typical Pike Place area fare, definitely stop by Robertos.

I've had 2 amazing experiences at Roberto's. The first time I went on a dinner date. We had made a late reservation and stayed until it was almost time to close the restaurant (most people had left by that point). Instead of feeling rushed or feeling that we were an inconvenience, the owner of the restaurant came by with 3 shots of Limoncello on the house, chatted with us as if we were family. It made our date super memorable, and we talk about that experience to this day. The second time I came with my family who was visiting Seattle. Our waitress, Violette, was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The food has always been delicious, nicely portioned and reasonably priced. It was the atmosphere and the staff that really made the experience incredible.

It's cute, it's stunning. It's the latest shiny new thing! We all love shiny new things. This place is the epitome of a shiny new thing. I've met the owner Roberto back when he was in that other restaurant in belltown. He's all things Italian. From the way he talks to the way he dress. You know if he opens a place, it's going to be good. He told me about this cool new spot he's opening a year and half ago. I was excited. When I walked in/ I was thrilled. It is visually stunning! Floor to ceiling glass, white decor! Pink soft lights. He brought a touch of Europe to here. Just stunning! Now let's talk food. I was in the area and decided to drop by for happy hour. The menu is pretty big for happy hour. The prices are reasonable. And the portions? Huge!!!!!!! I've tried the tagliatelle in bolognese sauce and the carbonara pasta with some delish wine. Presentation is stunning. I love the prertyy flowers on top. It's a nice touch. Now tagliatelle- the pasta was way too soft and mushy for me. Pasta should be Al dente and most of my Italian family members would agree. Carbonara - this was a tasty and creamy dish. It's just doesn't taste anything like a carbonara. Usually carbonara is that light and clean dish with egg yolk on top or mixed in with Pancetta. This tasted like someone dumped a white sauce on top. Didn't taste the egg. Overall- the place was stunning. Loved it. I felt the food lacks that authenticity. It felt way more Americanized than it should. Didn't expect that. But this could also be their off day. I'm willing to give t another chance. I just won't try those two dishes!!

We had a marvelous meal there last night. The mozzarella tomato salad served on a salt block was wonderful and the fried calamari even better with terrific dipping sauce. The main course was the star however. The best Veal chop we have ever had hands down with a marvelous rich sauce served over a bed of broccollini. The pasta carbonara and pasta with garlic and anchovy were tremendous as well. We will definitely go back! Great job Roberto!!!!!

If you've wondered what it would be like to eat in a greenhouse downtown, do check this place out. I dined in the not-greenhouse area which was cute and somewhat romantic. Nice background music too. Service was upsettingly slow considering it wasn't too busy when we showed up. It picked up some, but it doesn't explain why the server seemed to disappear for the second half of our meal. It took a very long time to get our bill. While my pasta was good but not spectacular, I do like that they offer half portions. It's a fair amount at a reasonable price, considering the location, saving you some cash to add a half salad or another glass of wine! But $8 for three tiny pieces of bruschetta. This is a trattoria, not a ristorante! Am I right, Yelpers? Am I wrong for assuming an order of bruschetta is not only meant to be shared, but slighty bigger? Roberto, you've hoodwinked me for the last time!

Happy hour review: I read about Roberto's last week in the Seattle Weekly last week when my friend and I wanted an Italian happy hour. We decided this was the perfect match and opportunity to try a new place. For starters, this place is pretty hard to find. Head over to the gum wall and there will be a sign for Roberto's. It says second floor and looks like it's pointing up but it's actually through the doorway and DOWN. On the way down the staircase, there will be an atrium with the sign Roberto's. As soon as you come up on it, you will notice that the space is GORGEOUS. The atrium is beautiful and the rest of the restaurant has huge windows overlooking Western Ave. Everything is white, sleek and modern which I loved because Italian restaurants are usually rustic. This also seems like a really random pro but Roberto's has it's own bathrooms super close by. A lot of places in Pike Place make you hike out pretty far so I liked this! The happy hour is pretty vast with $2 off wines, well drinks and other cocktails. They also serve the appetizers, soups, pizzas and salads on discount and have several pasta and bruschetta options. I think I could come many times without running out of new dishes to try! The two of us split the Roberto's pizza, the spaghetti with anchovies, garlic and olive oil and the spiral pasta with vegetables. I also had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Everything was quite tasty. The spaghetti with anchovies is one of my favorite dishes and it was done well here. The Roberto's pizza is a "personal size" with a great thin-but-not-too-thin crust. It was simple and tasted fresh. The service here was good and our bartender was very attentive. Eyeballing the dinner menu, some of the non-pasta entrees are a little on the high end ($30+) but the pasta dishes are more reasonably priced and come in half ($10-20) and full orders ($25-30). It's a nicer place for sure. The atrium especially, would make an adorable date or group dinner and the happy hour is great for casual dining. I'll definitely come back.

My boyfriend and I were in town for a visit and decided to check out the Pike's Place Market and stumbled upon this gem. Before anything else, shout out to Nick, our server, for being absolutely incredible!! The food was excellent. We started with the soup of the day (a chicken soup on a Sunday) which was absolutely incredible and rich in flavor. We both ordered a pasta, mine was the half order of a simple pasta that's name slips my mind (basically just a little meat, olive oil, tomato, garlic, white wine) and my boyfriend's SPAGHETTI CON FRUTTI DI MARE was AMAZING!! To top it off, Nick made the entire experience absolutely excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We will be back!!

This place is tucked away and kind of hard to find, but that's what makes it even more special because not so many people know about it. We went on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet. We got a great service at the bar and had some of the best cocktails! Carbonara was to die for and that's literally all I've been thinking about since Sunday and I can't wait to go back! We got tiramisu for the dessert, which was excellent. I'm usually not a big tiramisu fan, but this one was delicious. Overall, super cute place in the market! A must try!

We went to Roberto's yesterday. I have an allergy to tomatoes. I know I'm crazy for going for Italian food, but I did. I asked the lovely waitress what she recommends for a person like me. She suggested PASTA ALLA CARBONARA and I had a Caesar salad. The food was amazing. My allergy was treated with respect and I will definitely return to Roberto's and tell all my friends. Oh also finished off dinner with the tiramisu. That was a wonderful desert that I suggest everyone try.

This is a $$$ place. The food is delicious but the seafood isn't as fresh as you would hope from a restaurant directly under Pike place market. The servers are knowledgeable but young and not as courteous as you would expect when paying 75$/head. Good meal but you can do better for the price

Love it! Two words other than "Love it"....Spagetti Carbonara. OMG the best. My fiance and I come here often for the food and the view of Western Ave and lower Pike Place. I really feel like I'm out on the town when I come here. And when the windows are open on a lovely sunny day, the ambiance is just perfect. My favorite seat is in the bar by those windows. Even on a busy Saturday night it never gets too loud and crazy in there. And the owner, Roberto, is super friendly and says hi to everyone who comes in. It's just a nice place to walk to and enjoy a delicious italian mean with desert! Also make sure to try out some of their amazing selection of Italian wines and Washington Syrahs!

My daughter and I were walking around as tourists and ran into Robertos Venetian and we were the last customers and we were treated like royalty. Had the most wonderful pizza. Loved the pizza. The best we've had! The owner was gracious and showed us his beautiful new restaurant decor. Very beautiful place to eat with wonderful pizza.

Wow! When you open a place I. A high bill locale you really out to know better than to only have one by the glass red, and it really should at least be drinkable. Obnoxious overly loud classical music makes it an experience to forget.

Went to roberto's last night for a large group dinner. There were 20 of us and they had a nice large room outside on the patio. That's about where the good ends for the night unfortunately. First, the person who organized our group event asked when she booked the place if they would be able to split the checks and they said yes. When we got the bill at the end of the meal they told us we couldn't split the check so we had to calculate how much each person owed. This is not fun when you have an $1800 bill and multiple apps and bottles of wine that were split amongst the entire group. Second issue, they created a special menu that looked like it was a fixed price menu with several courses and no prices. When we sat down they just started bringing out appetizers without asking how many we needed. For pasta, several people in the group ordered half orders and the rest just ordered pasta without saying half or full. They ended up charging us all for full portions even though the supposed "full" size portions were exactly the same size as the half (same plates and everything)! Finally, when the check came and they told us they couldn't do separate checks and we finally wrote down how much to charge on each card, it took almost an hour for them to run the cards and bring us our receipts. During this hour long wait we asked several times what was taking so long and the owner kept blaming it on us for needing to split the checks. When I confronted him about it he just said sorry and said "you haven't been waiting an hour, more like 45 minutes". I replied, is 45 minutes an acceptable amount of time to wait to get 15 credit cards run? Beyond the terrible service, the food was nothing to write home about. They call it an Italian restaurant but most of the pasta dishes were bland and not seasoned well at all. For the prices they are charging, nothing tasted nearly as well as it should. The best thing we ate was the caprese salad which I could make at home pretty easily. There are way better places in Seattle to go for group dining and Italian food so I'd recommend avoiding Roberto's!

Just tried this place and so great! Got multiple visits from Roberto himself and a special desert that's his mother's recipe. Got the pappardelle with the wild boar sauce - amazing.

Never tasted the food... We were one of three couples in the restaurant, after sitting at our table with not so much as water or "can I get your drink order" for a good 15 minutes, so we left. Didn't say anything... We walked by the host on our way out and he didn't even notice. To many good restaurants in the area to deal with that.

I'm blown away by the less than perfect reviews...I frequent Seattle restaurants and this place is amazing. One of the best venues I've seen in awhile and great food. The service was equally amazing.

Roberto's rocks! Tonight was my first night and because I love pasta, I decided to check it out. My first impression was taking the Pike Place elevator to the second floor and entering the restaurant. When the doors opened I felt as though I were entering the penthouse of a high rise condo in Manhattan. How many restaurants have you been to that have their own "private" elevator? How cool is that? As I entered I immediately observed the 20 or so windows that wrap around the dining area. Wow, the view is nice but I bet spectacular in the daytime, I said to myself. The decor is modern chic, right out of a Sex in the City episode, high end but casual, a place where you can dress up on a special occasion or grab a beer at the bar and watch football on one of the several flat screens. (And there are USB connections and outlets under the bar for patrons to use, awesome!) I felt right at home. Besides an expansive dining room is an enclosed greenhouse or glasshouse dining area that overlooks Western Ave., a place where you can enjoy lunch in the sunshine or wet weather but feel as though you're outside, again, a rare experience in any restaurant. The men's room is spotless -- love the modern feel -- and the staff is uber friendly. The pasta is light, not heavy, and the Bolognese is fantastic, and I'm no foodie! Finally, the owner visited every patron and thanked us personally, making us all feel welcome and appreciated I'll return for that reason alone.

We had an unfortunate experience here... We had a large group coming in and confirmed a number of times that they would be able to split the check, however in the end they had many appetizers and bottles of wine circulating and no way to keep track of who ate / drank what so in the end many people paid a (very high) price for things they maybe didn't consume. Additionally it took about an hour to figure out the checks at the end and there was no way to know if the amounts were correct. The servers and staff were really nice people, but unfortunately the food was pretty mediocre and overpriced and we were there for about 3.5 hours and late to our Christmas party : (

Excellent food! The beet salad was beautiful and delicious. The halibut was so moist. The wine and cocktails were out of this world. Our server Colin was fantastic and very attentive.

The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful and the location is nice with glass room overlooking streets and trees. However the food was variable. We started with calamari fritti which was a bit undercooked. The spicy marinara was good but basil aoli was fairly tasteless. The bread was good and the dipping sauce with bread which was garlic onions celery olive oil and carrots was quite good. We also had meatball appetizer which had a fair amount of Parmesan cheese in it And served in a cream sauce. My daughter and I liked it but my son and husband thought the Parmesan cheese overwhelmed the taste of meatballs. The fried veal was over cooked. It was pounded paper thin and fried crispy which made the veal tough. The pasta dishes were good. The paparadelle with wild boar sauce was meaty with chunks of wild boar and tasted of carrots. The pasta was very good. The squid ink pasta with seafood was very good. The Caesar salad was just okay. So if you go stick with the pastas

Bottom line: I want to love this place! It is cute and romantic, the music is good and the desserts are amazing. However, it is a new place clearly run by an owner who is inexperienced in service industries. Priorities for a restaurant are food, service, and environment - in that precise order. While I love a pretty place, Roberto's needs to focus on food first and work its way down. I would currently recommend it for dessert but not dinner. ------------ Long version: My husband and I saw the greenhouse seating on the way up to a show at 8pm on a Thursday night. It was nearly empty, but it looked cute! Later, since I am a sucker for a cute place, I ignored the mixed reviews and suggested we go in on a whim. At this point it was 9:50 (they close at 11), so we were looking for after show small plates and a couple of drinks, not dinner. When we walked in, the two employees at the door seemed confused and unresponsive. Then Roberto came and said, "two for dinner, let me see if - " and started walking away, then told us to follow him. There was one other couple seated. Completely unrelated to the restaurant, I tweaked my shoulder when settling in, so ordering was a little delayed, but they asked 2 or 3 times if we were ready to order drinks before we were ready. Roberto came by when I was ready to tell us that we had 2-3 minutes to order food, because he wanted to send his kitchen staff home. Okay....I get that it is expensive to keep staff on hand for a nearly empty restaurant, and I further understand that it is frustrating when the customers who are there are ordering a few small items. But filling the restaurant through reputation and marketing is your responsibility as an owner or manager, as is managing and budgeting for hours open. When business is slow, you have two options: you can either remain open with full staff, or you can send your staff home AND send customers away. If you choose not to serve food to customers, say so at the very beginning; if you choose to keep your staff on hand to serve your customers, stay mum and serve them at their leisure. Your customers should never feel like an imposition. And there is a fine line between attentive service and pushy service, which depends on frequency and presentation. The service from all involved was noticeably clumsy throughout. Eating out is a luxury, an experience to be savored, not rushed. The food itself? Meh. I would call it just edible. And portions seemed very small. Based on food alone, I would not return. However, as we were about to leave extremely disappointed, they brought out complimentary tiramisu and a lemon custard thing - and they were amazing. I don't even like tiramisu and it was great! So that was a smart move on their part. They obviously are aware of their issues and are trying, but it seems like they just don't know how, nor do they have their priorities straight. Their website says they want to be AMAZING, with every experience going "beyond the plate." But they need to focus on the plate first, hire an experienced manager and polish their service. I doubt they are long for this world, but I hope they sort it out and stick around - it could be a wonderful date place.

After watching the remodeling all summer and seeing the empty tables often as I walked by, I thought I'd give Roberto's a try with a few friends. We like Italian food and I don't consider any of us too picky. The first, last and constant thing you notice are the noises - the dull loud buzz from some kind of kitchen fan and the amplified noises from the few fellow diners. Willing to overlook if the food is great but it wasn't, frankly disappointing: pastas dull and dry, fish tasty but small, and soup/antipasti uninspired and also small. Finally the whole thing is way overpriced - basically the value isn't there. $150 for 2 glasses of wine, 2 antipasti, 1 main and 1 desert for the 3 of us. We left a little hungry, our fault but we'd had enough.

Sadly, this was hands-down the WORST dining experience I've had in Seattle. Our party of 6 had reservations for dinner on Valentine's day, so I knew it was going to be a busy / packed night, but we weren't prepared for what followed.... The aesthetics of the restaurant is beautiful - the decor and music were great... but the chaos in the room detracted from everything else... The front lobby area was filled with unhappy customers who had reservations but no tables, distracted hostesses, and a man shouting at people -at first, I wasn't sure if he was a customer hosting a gathering or the owner, but upon later observations, I realized he was probably either manager or owner... Anyways, it took me a while to get someone's attention to see if our table was ready and after a few minutes, a gentleman kindly showed me back to our table..and then I didn't see a waitress or get water for another half hour. Our seats were right near the kitchen, which we thought would be kind of fun to see the food prepared - but instead, all we heard was scolding, shouting and stress..Again, I get that Valentine's day can be a busy and stressful night, but that really should remain backstage... it made for an awkward atmosphere.... Our dinner reservations were at 6pm - we finally got our food at 8:45pm!! Not only did it take over an hour for our orders to be taken - but we just couldn't understand why the service was so slow - There were plenty of servers around - they just didn't seem to know what to do or where to go.. nor did we understand why there were 20-30 PLATES of food sitting on counters, just waiting to be taken out to customers - some sat out for over an hour (NOT exaggerating) - the meat/ seafood looked cold and what had once been fresh, now wilted... and then we were appalled to see that some of those dishes were then actually served to customers?!? Really?!? UGH... I hope no one gets sick...and still, our dishes were no where to be seen. Finally, the guy shouting orders in the kitchen noticed that we were still without food 2.5 hours later... - and he instructed another person to re-take our orders. By that point, we were frustrated and highly contemplating leaving and grabbing a burger somewhere - but then our meals finally came... and mine looked pathetically dry and without sauce. :(. I asked the waitress about it and she said the sauce was in there, so I trusted her... but upon tasting the dish, there definitely was no sauce and no taste... So I had to flag down a server to get my sauce 2x, which eventually came out pretty much after everyone else was done with their food. Even with the sauce, my dish had no flavor... After all this, we thought that at the very least, one of our appetizers or meals would be comped, but when we got the bill, nothing was comped... couldn't believe it!!! Still don't... Anyways, I can see that this place really has so much potential with the location, ambiance and being right next to fresh seafood... but there really needs to be a 1000% fold improvement in management, organization, and attention to quality and flavors... Hope they do better moving forward, but I won't be back.

If you're looking for happy hour at Robertos, it's available only in the bar area - be sure to let the host/hostess know right when you get to the restaurant :) Hidden away in Pike Place Market, Robertos utilizes a fun space right off the stairway with a covered patio/greenhouse-like dining area. I've passed by it several times and finally found my way over with a few friends after work. The restaurant has a modern, clean feel to it and was pretty empty when we stopped by around 5PM. My group decided to stick to the happy hour menu and went with the: -Picante pizza - The picante turned out to be a pretty standard sausage and pepperoni pizza. It was a nice size though for its happy hour price! -Pear, gorgonzola and truffle oil pizza - Definitely our favorite of the night, I would come back just for this pizza. Granted, I have a soft spot for truffle in general... -Trofie al pesto - This pasta with pesto was so-so. The pasta itself came out a bit cold and bland, and we ended up not finishing it. -Tiramisu (not on the happy hour menu) - Great presentation! Although taste-wise, it was also pretty standard. While I loved the actual interior design of the restaurant, the food didn't seem to spark much interest in my group. I would say that Robertos didn't quite make my list of "must-try" happy hour spots in the area.

Had a delightful dinner at Roberto's this evening. Both the quality of the food and service were top-notch. I ordered all low-carb dishes on the dinner menu, namely the caprese salad, beef carpaccio, and a cure meat/cheese platter. The caprese salad was served on a Himalayan salt slab - definitely a must-try. The carpaccio was super tender - practically melted in my mouth. The cured meats were not too salty with a generous portion of various cheeses - perfect to share. My server named Nick was excellent - he didn't leave a minute unattended. Will come back for sure.

Hard to find. Street parking. Huge menu of items. On a Friday night it was pretty quite, only a few guest were there. Service was good and attentive. The food however was a hit or miss. Some dishes were good, some not so good. The pasta was good but needed a little more sauce added to the dish. Best dish I had was the bruschetta, the ink squid pasta and the tiramisu for dessert. Place is overprice pics posted on instagram @amanda.n_

I went here with my friends because the interior looks nice from the outside.. Then i ordered the calamari for the starter.. It was tasteless and way overprice ... For the main course, i waited so long for the food to come, even though the restaurant was not full at all...i ordered the squid ink pasta and i also didn't like it ...

My family had a wonderful experience at Roberto's. We had a large group to celebrate my grandmother's birthday, and the staff at Roberto's went out of their way to give us a great time. The food was delicious overall. People thought that the caprese salad, calamari, pizzas, and pasta dishes were fabulous; only one person had a pasta dish that disappointed him. The wait staff and Roberto checked on us several times, and they brought my grandmother a piece of cake and sang to her. We were very appreciative of the food and their efforts.

Dined this week with a chef friend and estate manger...THE most tender and flavorful beef filet (the gorgonzola topping added the perfect match for our Martedi syrah). My friend cut it with a fork in front of Roberto. A tremendous value compared to the big name, stuffy steak joints. And did I mention the 09 Martedi Winery Giovanni Syrah? Get to Woodinville and Joe Miglino and the clan. The rabbit was rich and succulent. It paired well with the 2008 Gaja Brunello Di Montalcino. The halibut in pesto had the most delicate citrus finish. But the star of the evening was the Gnocchi in pesto with mushrooms...silky smooth pillows of flavor...we wanted to lick the bowl. Literally.

Amazing food with great service!!! This is a great little restaurant on the edge of the market! The atmosphere is laid-back but trendy and they have a huge kids menu (if you have kids). The food is amazing! It's nothing like the "Italian" food I'm used to (smothered in sauce). Everything is light, unique and tasty!! We started of with some great bruschetta pomodoro and then for the main course I had the Pappardelle al Cinghiale and my wife had the filet. Both were amazing!! Roberto stuffed us with desserts! We had the Zabaglione (amazing!), Cannoli Siciliani (shell-less cannoli) and Diced Fruit Medley. I was both miserable (stuffed!) and amazed at the same. Roberto is the consummate restaurateur. Checking on tables, glad-handing, telling stories and generally just working the room. He spent quite a bit of time with my kids making sure they were having a good time. He found out it had been one of my daughter's birthday a couple of days earlier and even brought her cake! You can wear shorts and flip-flops or a suit and tie and feel right at home. Bring kids; they'll have a blast. Cool bar as well.

You are greated by a lovely decor, with a beautifully painted ceiling, and if you are lucky a firm hand shake by roberto. The atmosphere here is real laid back, although the waiters outfits might say upscale, the prices reflect differently. Onto the food, I had the pizza, spegetti, and the Panna cotta for dessert. The dessert was the highlight for, the Panna cotta was delicious and had just enough orange zest, same with the semifreddo. The flatbed oven fired pizza was also on point with all the flavors well executed. I was only slightly dissapointed with the pasta, which was a little saucy and lacked a real punch for flavor. Although the noodles themselves we're delicious. Overall this place is defiantly worth a try.

A little taste of New York in the heart of Seattle. Order the beef carpaccio and stuffed clams! Stuffed clams are the owners moms recipe passed down. Melts in your mouth! The bellinis are astounding. The view is peaceful and the service was impeccable. Everything on the menu is local. The cannoli is mouth watering. I can't say enough about this gem that we found near Pikes. Ahhhh-mazing!!!!!

I had ventured upon Roberto's coming from Western Ave up to the Market several months ago, but didn't have the time to stop, and it's been on my radar ever since. Hubby and I were having a stroll through the market on a Sunday afternoon and decided to stop in for happy hour. We were so pleasantly surprised! Amazing happy hour prices and options! We had a small serving of the trofie pesto pasta for $6, and it was so filling we took some home. We first found trofie in Cinque Terre and have been wanting to eat it again. Roberto's makes their own in-house and it was delicious and authentic. You must also get the Venetian meatballs! They were amazing, and sauce alone is worth the $5 happy hour price. Dip the bread in that.....mmmmmm. The bruschetta was ok, nothing amazing. Good authentic Caesar that wasn't too heavy. Also had a nice Pinot Grigio for $5 on happy hour. Overall we were very pleased with the food, portions, and prices. A great little spot hidden away in the market!

Came here for dinner, we ordered the calimari as appetizer, two half portion pasta and 8" pizza. Didn't expect the portion to be that much so I'll give it that. However, there's definitely rooms to work on in terms of the flavor. I wish there were more garlic sauce in the pasta and more flavor in the calamari... The restaurant was not big at all, the have a open kitchen, which made the air not as fresh. Probably will not come back again...

My fiancé and I were excited to try Robertos for the first time on Valentine's Day. When we arrived we were immediately impressed with the ambiance and music. Those positive first impressions dissolved quickly. We had made reservations for 6:30. When we walked in the young host asked how many were in our party we told him 2 and he grabbed menus and started to take us to a table only to be told by another staff member once we walked in the dining room that nothing was available. Once we were seated a frantic waitress took our drink order and we didn't see her again for quite a while. The owner Roberto stopped at our table and asked if he could take our food order. We were flattered to get attention from the owner himself and gave him our order. Our waitress came by a few minutes later asking for our order. When we informed her Roberto took our order she checked in the system and Roberto had not actually done anything with our order and she had to take it again. It became glaringly obvious that everyone in the restaurant was unhappy with the terrible service. Guests at neighboring tables were swapping stories. The staff had their tables confused and were delivering plates to the wrong tables. Drink orders were not being filled, including my own. Overall the food was not memorable. The fresh bread and garlic/olive oil was a nice start. We ordered bruschetta with caramelized onions and sun dried tomatoes which was a huge disappointment. 3 small pieces of stale bread with a couple pieces of onion and tomato- no flavor at all and $8! My fiancé has the Osso Buco and thought the flavor were nice but the lack of meet was disappointing for a $38 dish. I had the Filetto and enjoyed it. I ordered it to be cooked medium and it was severely rare- I didn't complain at the time because we just wanted to get out. We never received the pasta we ordered or refills on our drinks. It was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. The service was unbelievably bad and staff didn't seem to really care or know what was going on. I have a hard time seeing this restaurant rebounding from such a terrible night of service.

I went to this place while visiting Pike Place Market. It is a fine dining place, so if you aren't willing to spend a lot of money this isn't the place for you - just a warning. We came at lunch, so I didn't have the experience people did with bad service because it wasn't a full house. The waitress who was there was great, she knew about the food and checked on us constantly. She was well mannered. The owner came out to great us and check on us as well. It was nice. We started with drinks. The waitress let me sample a few wines because I wanted sweet red. None of the wines were sweet enough for me, but that fact that she let me sample was great. We had the carpacchio for the start, it was super yummy. I loved that everything on the menu was in Italian, it was like being at a place in NYC. Which has the best food in the USA. The Caprese salad was the best. They drizzled imported olive oil on top, and they served it atop of a pink Himalayan salt block. It was so good, and I'd come back just for it. It is my favorite kind of salad and they did it so well, with heirloom red and yellow tomatoes, house made mozzarella, and baby salad green sprinkles. I had the duck special. I love duck - cooking it is an art form. It is a mix of red meat style / steak style and bird. The fat needed trimmed more, but other than that it was amazing. I can't wait until I'm living there in college and can give myself a salad treat here again and again.

Too bad you can't leave ZERO stars, Robertos does not deserve any ! We too had reservations for Valentines night at 7:30 and like the other reviewers said, we expected a wait. Right off the bat when we arrived I knew things were going to be trouble. The Hostess, greeted us and when I told her we had reservations and her our name, she just stood there and did nothing but smile, did not check off out name that we had arrived. I could see unhappy customers everywhere. The wait staff were all very young and I did not see one staff person over 30 years old, my guess the were all around 20-22 years old- It was total chaos. We waited at our table for 30 mins and no one came by to offer us water or a drink, even know, there must to have been 30 wait staff. The fact that Robertos has not even come on Yelp and offered some sort of explanation- pretty much sums it up.

My wife and I had the worst dining experience of our life when we went here for Valentines day dinner. Sure... It is expected that should be a busy day, but Roberto himself was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Seemed like he had no idea what to do. The staff was trying to do their best, but with no organization and direction, there was little they could do to salvage the disaster at this restaurant. I feel sorry for the staff having to work for such an incompetent restaurant manager. It is really bad when you go to a restaurant and the waitstaff say... "I don't blame you for leaving." when you walk out.

From Nataliya Z. "This place is tucked away and kind of hard to find, but that's what makes it even more special because not so many people know about it." - Yes! I agree. We sat in the vestibule and it was so great. The food is very good. The cocktails are great. The staff are very friendly, and efficient. Very clean, huge menu. The breads and pizza dough are SO good. I am talking NYC good. Will definitely eat there again.

I made reservations a week in advance to take my lady here for Valentine's Day. We opted for valet parking. So, that was a breeze. The guys running that very kindly pointed us in the right direction when we asked where Robertos is. We were twenty minutes early, so expected a bit of a wait. No problem. When we got to the restaurant, we were met with a line stretching out the door and got the pleasure of hearing a waitress chewing out the host. She was telling him to stop seating as no one would see so much as a drink for at least a half hour or until the kitchen got caught up. A person mentioned to her that he had a reservation for 7 PM (it was 7:45 by this time), her curt reply before darting off was that she didn't know what to tell him. I asked the host about how long we would be waiting past our 8 PM reservation to be seated, he told us at least an hour. As we were walking out, a woman told us that we had dodged a bullet by leaving. Her party's experience with the food sounded pretty horrific. Thankfully, the wonderful people doing the valet parking didn't charge us. They saw who validated our parking and let us know that they had stopped charging the people that were "flooding out of Robertos". We went to Golden Singha instead. It's not as romantic and is far cheaper, but their food is always amazing and the staff is extremely friendly. I'll give Robertos a year, if it lasts that long, before I try it again. Maybe by then they can get their act together.

My husband and I ate here early for dinner (5:45) with our toddler son after his Santa photo. Though it is advertised as kid friendly (and has a kids menu), I was initially taken aback since the decor is quite sleek and modern. However, the staff was very kind to us all. It was clear that not many kids actually eat here (no kids cups, his milk was brought out in an ENORMOUS glass with a straw and the kids serving was indistiguishable from adult sized serving), but the service was prompt and the food was good - so we were able to be in an out of there just as all of the 7:30 and 8:00 reservations were arriving. To be honest, we liked but were not blown away by the food but the convenience of locale, decor, efficient service and friendliness of the staff made us like this place anyway.

Went here with reservations on Valentine's Day and the people inside literally didn't say a word to my boyfriend or I and we had to try and figure out who the hostess was. Once we approached someone they were not helpful and seemed to just want to shoo us away. We were told we had to wait and they eventually sat us at a table in a special room for folks who had purchased a groupon deal. We didn't get water or even talked to until about 20 mins in. The menu didn't come until about 45 mins in and after another couple making a comment about it to the waiter-we ordered and they just kept trying to force alcohol on us for "free" because they had no food or service people. All of the people around us went through the same thing. We stayed for 2 hours just to get a poor excuse for one of the dishes we ordered. We decided to leave like many others before us. Overall, disrespectful staff, thrown together food, and poor planning for such a big holiday. Completely disappointed.

Really it should be no stars. We didn't even get to try the food because we couldn't get any service while other tables were waited on, hand and foot. Here's the story: It was a quiet Friday night and Roberto's was not busy at all. We were trying to find a place to eat while visiting Seattle when we saw what looked like a lovely restaurant with a great view. We were promptly seated and given menus and waters. We were hungry so we chose what we wanted to order within 5 minutes of being seated. Our menus were closed and patiently waiting for a server to come by. 1 server passed by to check on a table behind us, then left completely ignoring us. He came back with the said table's request, and then walked past us again without a word. 5 minutes go by and another couple was seated two tables away from us. We saw Roberto come to another table near us and check on them, then he walked right past us without a glance as he resumed his business. Another server came by to the couple seated two tables away, took their order, and whisked their menus away and came back to them with bread. All while completely ignoring us. We ended up leaving to go somewhere else. I can understand that we're two young-looking adults but that's no excuse for ignoring us. We were nicely dressed for a Friday night Dinner-Date and Roberto's inhospitable atmosphere made it extremely easy for us to leave. And as a kicker, the hostess said 'Thank You' as we left, while her coworker who seated us looked extremely confused. TL;DR, basically We waited patiently for at least 15 minutes without a word from 2 servers and the owner whom passed by us on 3 separate occasions before leaving for a better place without terrible service. Save yourself some time and go to a better place.

Seriously we had a Bad experience here. They are way Over-rated, snobby, and bad service. We visited early, very few customers, we sat in the Bar area. The Bartender was pretentious and arrogant, a total fake who did not know his own menu, acting like a total hipster in a fake way. Then he forgot our drink order completely, acting like it was my fault, saying "yeh Man", "Cool Man". No dude. Not cool at all. Then I requested to talk with Roberto - and the Hostess was cheeky and rude, telling me he's not available, "he's a busy man." WTF? There were only 3 other customers in the entire restaurant!! This area of Seattle downtown has many excellent Bars and Restaurants. And certainly far better Bar Tenders who don't offend customers. This was a rude experience all around.

Came with a group of 10 on a recommendation from our concierge. Was delicious!! Best dinner we had in Seattle! That's coming from a group of foodies from across the country here for a conference. Give this new restaurant a try! It's worth it! Must try the caprese salad, get the full order because you'll be dying for more!! All of us loved all of our entrees! We could not decide on which was best! But best dessert in my opinion was the semifreddo - slightly sweet with wonderful citrus flavor. A must after a delicious seafood dinner!

A small group of friends and I decided to try Roberto's for wine and shared plates. Once we all found parking (Pike Place parking, street parking, garage parking) we met in front of the stairs that led us straight to Robertos. The view is gorgeous and immediately we knew we wanted a table on the patio. The service was friendly but not too casual to the point where the meal become secondary to conversation. We had a couple bottles of wine and shared the Polenta con Funghi and Caprese Moderna. The caprese moderna was served on a salt board in which you can agitate your perfect bite to your 'flavors desire'. It served the 4 of us pretty well but could imagine 2 people easily sharing it as a starter. We ordered two pizza the Giotto and Roberto. Giotto was pretty reach so a little goes a long way but the truffle flavor and pear combination was a perfect balance. The Roberto was delicious as well - great crust and the personal size is perfect for one person. It was an excellent meal altogether from start to finish and I look forward to returning and trying some their pasta dishes. Great addition to the Pike Place area!

What a great find! Roberto is an awesome host with tremendous depth in his knowledge and experience with unique Venetian, Milanese and Tuscan recipes. We had a great range of selections through all the courses. From the selections for cheese and charcuterie (pistachio mortdella), main courses - the Mt. Vesuvius Ossa Buco and the Veal Porcini demi-glase were all outstanding as were the Zabaglione and Tiramasu. The wine list - particularly the captains choice are top notch, and the apperitif options do not disappoint with a selective variety of lemoncellos and even Vin Santo.

The first time I came in I had the French waitress. She was very friendly and made my experience really satisfying . This weekend, my family and I had a waitress with short hair she was very bland and didn't even give us bread and olive oil I had to ask for it she also didn't come to refill our drinks often. Our pizza was10 minutes late upon other food coming first I don't even think she was a waitress, I think she was a bartender considering she was behind the bar the whole time. Its clear to say $130.00 for painfully awkward and terrible service, we weren't pleased. The decor is stunning and its tucked away in Pikes. I think the restaurant has a great chance the food is decent but that girl should never be a server.

I would never eat here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. My friend and I ordered a half portion of food and were charged for a full. Then when we told the waiter that he made a mistake, he said that we were given a full portion of food and argued with us. Another person at our table ordered a full size and her's was on a different plate and was considerably larger. We were constantly harassed every five minutes by three different waiters. Our main waiter was very creepy and got uncomfortable close to us. I don't know why we were overcharged, maybe it was because we are college students and he thought that he could take advantage of us. To top it all off the food was just ok.

Enjoy a beautiful space in the heart of the market with excellent food, first class service and a first class wine list. We were greeted by Guy, an experienced waiter who assisted us with wine selection - he was spot on with our request - and was solicitous of our food choices without being overbearing. He was always there to help but never intrusive. This new contribution to Seattle's market offerings is bound to be a winner.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
