Great location, the beer was cold, nice atmosphere. Food was low quality and like the rest of Seattle costs a lot more than it should. Athletic name, yet nothing healthy and tasty on the menu that I could see. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which they only fry to make look bigger. (Only served fried) My fiancé is a vegetarian and her only option was fries or a salad. The salad was just lettuce, croutons, dressing. It would have been nice if eggs, avocado, or something else topping wise was offered. A veggie burger should be offered. This is a nice place to have a drink, but do not go there for food. J&M has better items to eat.

Awesome location right near Safeco and Century Link Field. Quality Athletics has a large indoor area with big screen tvs and great outdoor area with two fire pits to keep you warm, and plenty of people watching to keep you entertained. The food was decent, albeit, overpriced. The spicy duck wings had a good kick to them, but the portions left a lot to be desired. The $12 pitchers were a good deal. Overall, a good pre-game spot or place to watch the game near the stadium should you not have tickets.

Spectacular location!! You are right on the corner entering all the sports stadiums. Great outdoor patio with two huge fire pits are just welcoming you to come inside. During this trip, we can before a Mariners game during a weekday, so considerably less busy. We grabbed a few seats at the bar. There are no less than 10 TVs in the restaurant. It would be a great place to watch the games if you don't have tickets. The service was a tad on the slow side, especially since the restaurant was half empty. We ordered: - Fried chicken sandwich. A must!! This fried chicken sandwich is truly the king of all fried chicken sandwiches. You know you order the right thing on the menu, when the bartender gives you the ole, "Oooh good choice!" The fried chicken is still tender and perfecto crunchy without being greasy. The honey glaze adds a sweet complement to the salty chicken. I would definitely come back just for the sandwich - Andouille sausage. Yummy smoked flavor. 3 large sausages. Served with mustard & sauerkraut. The sauerkraut could have used more flavor. It felt like it was lacking something. Overall, a pretty limited draft beer selection. Just 6 beers on tap. But I guess during game day, you don't need a whole bunch of options! I definitely liked the layout of the restaurant and the spacious patio area. The fire pit looked perfect for those cold Seattle nights. Will definitely be back for game day.

Dropped in here after a Mariners game for a late dinner without really knowing what to expect. The decor is all very high school varsity, with gym lockers and cheap trophies everywhere. The outdoor area didn't have any service, so we sat inside even though it was beautiful out. I got the Fried Chicken Sando with fries and was pleasantly surprised. The fries were alright; maybe a little moist for my taste but there was a whole pile of them. The sandwich was delicious. The sauce was terrific without the chicken being too greasy, which I was a little concerned about. The burger also looked good, but, y'know, hard to screw up a burger, really. The service was good, but I wish we had been able to sit outside. The place picked up pretty good while we were there and the waitress was still pretty attentive. All in all, not bad for a quick bite after a game or concert, if you're willing to drop $15 on a sandwich. Not sure I'll be back, but I wouldn't complain if that was where the group wanted to go.

I've walked by Quality Athletics many, many times on the way to CenturyLink. And each time I pass I've thought to myself, "I need to try that place." Of course, I never bothered to read the Yelp reviews which might have turned me away. In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't or I might have bailed on the whole attempt. But after a very pleasant experience I am comfortable saying that QA is a good bar, with unique and tasty food that clearly suffers from inconsistent and shoddy service. I can see how is place might disappoint. The staff is friendly but do seem to get overwhelmed. I didn't have any issues but it's clear you need to be prepared for anything when you go. Still, I found the venue itself and the creativity of the menu make up for any other shortcomings I might have experienced. I value and appreciate good service. I'm paying to dine out after all. But Quality Athletics is a good bar that deserves a shot. Give it one, or maybe two.

Quality Athletics has a unique concept for a sports bar so in that regard it needs a tip of my head for being original. They kind of make a fusion between your typical sports bar and the ancient Olympic Games. There are two big cauldrons of fire as you enter into the place which definitely catches your attention. The food? Well. it was just fair. I got the fancy Ramen Noodles / Pho type dish. The taste was very strong and none too mild. A few months later I went to another Ramen joint which proved to be more authentic and enjoyable. The service? It was kind of slow to be completely honest. It was always friendly but the place was not all that busy. We went in there on a weekday yet somehow we did not get speedy service and I am not entirely sure. Overall the experience was just fair.

I live in the same building, but I write it off as a dining option 99% of the time. It's just too pricey for what it offers! Even the beers are overpriced. WTH? I was so mad when I ordered a burger the last time I was here. Kiddie-size...and $16! It was a pretty decent, juicy burger, but I don't have it in my heart to pay that amount for it. The fried chicken sandwich was amazing, though. Really nice batter, really nice crunch. It's a great sandwich. The one time every 8 months or so that I come here, this sandwich needs to end up on my table. Apart from that, though, I really can't think of any other redeeming quality. Okay, it's a fun joint during a Seahawks game because of its location. It gets PACKED with Seahawks fans. Great energy, if that's what you're looking for. And sure, the bartenders are very cool. Great staff to chat with. But I can get that in many other joints nearby that'll also give me a better bang for my buck. Sorry. I just hate paying too much for too little!

We stopped in for lunch on a sunny weekday. We arrived at about 11:50am... at about the same time as many other people. We sat outside along the bar and did some people watching while gabbing and waiting for our food. I ordered the Q burger along with bacon, and a caesar salad instead of fries. The burger was tasty but I chose to "knife and fork" it since with the sauce it was just a tad on the sloppy side. It still was yummy! I liked the caramelized red onions and the sauce. The caesar salad was good too, and held up well with the flavors of the burger. It was a tad slow to get our food on the table. I won't subtract a star for this since we arrived at the same time as many other diners. I mention it in case you are in a rush.

I am a fan of Q.A. The servers were super nice. I like the unique menu. It is a little weird but the items go good together. I recommend the wings, duck or chicken. The fried chicken sandwich was not at all how I expected it to be. I thought it would be greasy but it was not. It was light. I balanced it with a salad so I would not feel bad for making unhealthy dining choices. By the time we left, I was ready to come back for more.

I think most yelpers would agree that food here is good here. My portchetta sandwich was quite awesome in fact. Maybe it had a bit too much sauce but I was able to easily get some off of it with a knife but other than that, it was fantastic. Fries were... fries (always yummy). Service was alright. Not very memorable in a good way. Host and waitress weren't particular mean or nice. Our seats were arranged kind of funny but once we sat down, it was alright. When you come in, youau notice that the seating area may look a bit odd. For such a big place, it appears like they are wasting space. It was a tad bit loud but I gues it is expected at a sports bar. Prices were high for the type of food offered but as mentioned food tasted great. Recommended if you're in the area. They take Amex!

We were on our way to the game and we tripped onto this place. For a sports bar? For bar food? These were some pretty good viddles. Great.place to get a great bite on the way to the game. I had the rice bowl. I definitely enjoyed it.

Just what Seattle's stadium center needed - a NICE place to go get quality food and watch the game! Your feet don't stick on the ground when you walk in (yet...). There is usually a line to get in during game day but it goes quickly. We've come here to prefunk before Hawks games, and even come here to watch the game! Service is always great, food delicious. We've had the wings and loved them - be advised they are not traditional wings, they are the bigger piece of the leg from the bird and don't have a ton of breading. They are delicious!! I've had the chicken sandwich, which is also delicious, the butter lettuce salad (one of my favorites in the city!), and the hand cut fries. All the food was tasty. The bathroom situation sucks - they only have 4 single stalls which backs up pretty quick (they are unisex).

So as I mentioned before, the burger isn't that big, but guess what, price increase! A cheeseburger is $16, $18 if you want bacon. QA gets the prize for most expensive burger in town!! (Even John Howies burger is cheaper). $15 for a chicken sandwich. Well anyways they just raised all their prices, and for what? Oh i know, they know the local douce bags will pay anything to "look cool". Went after a game one night, not serving food, just drinks....really? FX across the street had no issue in serving us food. Theres so much better around here, on price, and service, just pass on this place, really.

Came here for a Wave event for bingo and staff was great. Atmosphere is great and the food samplers were very tasty. I'm not sure why the other reviewers gave low ratings. The food is a step above Applebee's. Had the fried chicken sandwich and fries and it was very good. Drinking atmosphere is good too and they have large fire pits outside rain or shine. The TV screens are pretty cool there too.

Not your typical sports bar fare - very unique menu that spans just about every genre you can think of - French, Mexican, Japanese, Creole, you name it. Highlights for me were the tostada (they were willing to accommodate the veg, and I got it without the lamb) and the salted caramel peanut butter sundae. Both very unique - the latter came with spicy homemade "cracker jacks" and a dusting of nori on top of the ice cream. Weird, but extremely good. My least favorite dish was the tartine - a bit too heavy handed on the salt. They also have a varying list of about five special dishes to keep things fresh. There are a handful of decent beers on draft, but by no means an extensive beer list. For a fun drink, try the "Seattle Freeze", which is a slushy drink they change up regularly. The one I had was a bourbon spiked frozen Arnold Palmer. There is a bar area, a restaurant area, and an outdoor area. We sat in the bar, and service was very attentive and they tried hard to accommodate everyone's viewing preferences (we came on a Saturday afternoon so there were plenty of games to be shown). The decor is kind of a throwback to a 1970s gym class; trophies, medicine balls, and an unusual array of athlete photos which line the wall on the way to the bathrooms. There are four individual unisex bathrooms that were fairly clean when I was there, but I might not be wild about sharing a bathroom with the guys on a busy game day. Overall this is a great place to watch a game and eat some tasty and unique grub - two qualities which are tough to find at a single spot in Seattle!

  • Yvonne D.

Quality is in the name so it's expected and they succeeded. You can taste the freshness of all the ingredients and you know this place isn't messing around by the looks of their menu. This isn't your typical sports bar. There are wings and chips on the menus but it's been kicked up a notch, and then some. Unfortunately it's a bit pricey to be 5-star but overall great place to have a meal regardless if there's a home game or not. + grilled cheese (open face sandwich, tasty, but pricey) +/- mussels (loved the kick from the sausage but wasn't a fan of anything else so next time i'll just order the sausage which was another entree choice) - deep fried razor clams (got sold on this but another server; loved the dipping sauce but breading to clam ratio was too heavy on breading) + sundae (peanut butter ice cream with salted caramel popcorn...yum!)

I love this spot. It's really fun before, during and after Seattle sporting events, but I also love it for lunch/happy hour any day of the week. Great vibe, cool decor and friendly staff. The menu can be a little off-putting only because it's not your typical bar food (thank goodness!) and some of the items seem a bit foreign, but once your food arrives your mouth will thank you. My favorite dish, the one I can't help but order EVERY time I go there, is the Suki Rice Bowl. Don't pass this up. The Jerk Spiced Duck Wings have the most amazing flavor, and the yogurt sauce that comes with them could be a dish of it's own. While you may be brussel sprouted out, don't pass these ones up, holy crap, life changing! I'm always too full for dessert, but I'm considering fasting for a day just to come in and order dessert items only, the dessert menu looks to die for! Oooh, can't forget the cocktail menu! I usually let the server or bartender suggest their favorites and I've never gone wrong. Really creative and well crafted cocktails!

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. I gave it one for its cool setup, swanky interior design and the fire pit. But that is all this place is good for. A couple friends advised us to skip out on this place because of their bad experience, but we were throwing a goodbye dinner for one of our friends and thought it seemed like a great restaurant for s group of people. We got there (only 10 of us) and the place was practically empty. We asked for a table, knowing that we didn't need reservations prior to getting there, and the guy working the hostess station looked at me, didn't say any words for a couple minutes while scanning all the empty tables in the restaurant and then finally said, "you said 10 people? I mean.. I guess you can just find a table and sit there. I guess.." What the hell? So we sit at the cool family style table and reminisce about the old school elementary school chairs we are sitting on and then it hits us... 20 minutes have passed and we have not been helped. They gave us one menu.. Because apparently walking 10 menus over to our table was too much of a task for the ever so busy hostess man. Another 10 minutes.. No help. I work in the customer service industry and my husband worked in the bar industry for a long time.. and I strongly believe you should tip your bartender and waitress BIG, but tonight - I felt more than okay leaving nothing. What a waste of a beautiful and fun space - Quality Athletics, you may want to think about hiring a more inviting and attentive staff. I don't know what you guys were going for when you were holding your business meeting, but tonight - it seemed like you were going for "we just had money to buy a space, but we don't care about your money... Or even customers. We are just here to look cool and apart of the scene." Oh, and tell your hostess guy (talk, skinny, lanky, dark haired man) maybe he should try his hand at a job that doesn't require him to converse with people because the way he answered my very simple questions were rude, rushed and seemed like he couldn't be bothered with humans. Worst experience at a bar/restaurant ever. We walked over to Good Bar and they were so gracious to our group, opened up their balcony for us and let us have a great time! Quality Athletics = Not So Quality!

Every time I pass by this place, it seems to be closing, or open with hardly any customers. But on this past Saturday night, there was a crowd and I finally happened to make my way in. Love the open space and the simple/modern feel to it! Fried Chicken Sando... rocked my world. A gourmet sandwich with tenderly fried chicken. Moroccan Chicken Salad - I could have made this at home, but it was still a flavorful salad that I don't regret ordering. Kale, chicken, quinoa, etc. Sangiovese was delicious! And I have to say - the server, Alex, was refreshingly personable. So delicious food, good location, and nice staff... I can dig it.

Why on earth am I reviewing a sports bar if I do not drink (keep that in mind)? I think it takes a bit of alcohol to make the food better. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't very good either - and quite overpriced. But see the connection? If I have had too much alcohol, then the prices might seem fair and the world has a certain glow where all women are strong and the men handsome. But, without the booze, the salad was kind of limpy, the duck wings were glopped with jerk sauce and some kind of white creamy stuff that we told jokes about, and the chicken sandwich, in a word by my friend - greasy. But our server was wonderful! And we were outdoors in nice weather. No more sports bars for me, if food is the focus. I promise.

Chef Josh Henderson (of Skillet Diner, Little Gull/Westward, Hollywood Tavern, Cone & Steiner), opened up Quality Athletics last year right by the CenturyLink Stadium. The whimsical interiors of this place were dreamed up by the same guy who did Westward; so the space is bright and easy, like a Californian macho man shooting up too many roids meets Etsy & Wes-Anderson sorta feel. After being pleasantly blindsided by the interiors, I felt like I got sacked by the menu. In a good way. (I don't know if getting sacked in football is ever a good thing, but that was me trying to make a lame sports metaphor. My excuse is that I have the flu right now.) The food is nothing short of what you would expect from Henderson: his inventive, creative take on the classics has set a new standard for the typical sports bar fare. However, the more interesting thing to note is his addition of entrees that sample the more #trending items in the culinary scene, vis a vis pork ramen, kale salad, and kalbi, elevating this sports bar to something more than just your run of the mill cesspool of greasy bravado and testosterone. Armed with the glassy shield of low blood sugar levels, the manfriend and I were ready to grub on anything fried, greasy, and wash it down with something hoppy. We had the: 1. JERK SPICED DUCK WINGS: Cinnamon And Cayenne, Pickled Pomegranate Seeds, Lime Yogurt. - Ask for a extra side of the lime yogurt, cause these shits are deliciously SPICY, so you're going to want to coat them before each bite. They will literally slowly incinerate your mouth and cause you to inhale glasses of beer. Probably my favorite dish of the night. 2. FRIED BRUSSELS SPROUTS: Lambrusco Vin, Pecorino, Saba. - The Lambrusco Vin adds for sour-sharp and swooningly sweet bite to the meatier texture of the brussels sprouts, the pecorino definitely helps tone down the tart factor. They were on the greasier side, which just means it was the perfect accompaniment to our beer. 3. QUALITY BURGER: Sharp Cheddar Cheese, House Made Bacon, Pickled Onions, New Hampshire Sauce. - All-around solid burger. The bun they use is state of the art; it holds the fort down nicely, sopping up all the grease and juices without falling apart into a soggy mess, but there's a soft and easy give with each bite.

I went to this place when it first opened months ago and ordered the duck wings and the fish tacos. The duck wings were ok and the fish tacos were served in a way that I've never had. It was cool because they brought out an entire fish and deboned it in front of me, but the overall taste of the fish taco wasnt all that. Not to mention, there were still bones in the fish. Anyhow, I went back yesterday for a friends farewell happy hour and only ordered drinks because I didnt have a good experience with the food when they first opened. The bartender wasnt friendly and I'm guessing it's because it's busy, but I've been to places where no matter how busy... they are friendly. So the bartender wasnt friendly and one of the male servers was not nice either. Totally left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd much rather go across the street to King Street Bar And Oven (considered a dive bar) and kick it there than in a new, "cool", trendy sports bar that doesnt have good food or service. I didnt give them a 1 star because the venue itself is nice and they have an outdoor area with a fireplace which is cool. Wont be going back unless someone I'm hangin with feels strongly about going.

I liked the decor and ambiance of the place. It really does have a sport bar feel to it, but in a more modern sense. My cousin and I decided to check this out when we were strolling around town. Neither of us have been here before either. Unfortunately I can't review the food because we didn't eat there. We did have a couple of drinks though. I think the main reason for my rating is because of these drinks. I had a whiskey sour and it honestly was on the lower end of the totem pole in comparison to others I've had. The other drink that I got was a house special on their menu. It wasn't bad, but not what I expected based on what the menu said what was in it. I would go back to give it another shot, but probably this time for the food if anything. Maybe it was my bartender? Either way, I feel like it could have been better in terms of drinks.

Great bones, but needs to grow into its potential. Best thing about Quality Athletics? It's close to my office and my home. Second best thing about QA? The #burger. Yeah. It's a great f'ing burger. It comes like you ask for it - you want med rare? You actually get it. Crazy. BRGR Bar, not so much. I will absolutely come back for the burger, but the ambiance takes it down a few stars. Really need to get a better vibe.

I've usually been very lucky with seating whenever I feel like stopping by, I live in the neighborhood. It's a huge space, but it quickly fills up whenever there's a game. The food quality is surprisingly good, more "Gastro Pub" than your typical sports bar grub-- a great place to bring a sports loving first date or to impress your uncivilized friends. However, to be perfectly honest, I really love the jerk spiced duck, but the overall food quality & service has been really hit or miss-- it mostly depends on how busy they get. I try to avoid game days as much as possible!

This place is a great go-to spot for lunch and their front patio is a great place to hang out, although it gets pretty cold considering the shadows of all the surrounding buildings. I had the fried chicken sandwich- delicious! The winner by far is their jerk duck wings- drool. So spicy but so delicious.

Like others here, I wanted to like this place. It's close to my office and has those cool fire pits. Our server was nice and knowledgeable, but wow, was the service slow and uneven. Three of us went for lunch. Diner One's burger arrived in 25 minutes. About 10 minutes, along came Diner Two's ramen. Ten minutes after that -- nearly time to go back to the office! -- my pasta dish arrived. It was pretty but tasteless; truly, how can pasta with bacon have no taste? Serving sizes are small and prices are big. Glad I tried this place but I won't be back. There are other less expensive places with more choices, better food, and the ability to bring all meals to a table at the same time.

Came here once after a Seahawks game and had a horrible customer service experience. I figured I'd give them a chance and stopped by before a Mariners game and it was better. Not in love with their menu or prices, but if you're looking for a sports bar with an upscale atmosphere, then this is your spot. The bartenders are very friendly and will definitely engage in a conversation with you, even though they're super busy. The rest of the staff, not so much.

Feeling this place. Doesn't seem like you can go wrong with whatever you order. The duck were really good but thymes practically melted my face off. The old fashion was the drink of the night...so good!!

An uniquely upscale atmosphere for a sports bar, while still retaining a very distinct sports theme. Similarly, the menu has roots in a sports bar, but takes an upscale twist. For example, rather than normal wings, Quality Athletics features duck wings rubbed in a spicy jerk seasoning, well presented in a dish with yogurt. I also tried a tasty Moroccan-spiced quinoa salad involving a bunch of other stuff (can't remember what it was, but it was tasty...) . Good beer selection, if not a bit overpriced. The happy hour is a pretty good value, particularly for food (I believe the only beer special is Rainier). A good addition to the area near the stadium!

I'm giving Quality Athletics four stars, although my boyfriend would probably say it should get three stars. We got to finally pop in to watch a Seahawks game for their early 10am start during Dine Around Seattle. The restaurant was already rather busy when we arrived at half time so we sat at the bar to watch the game and eat a three course lunch. Here are some of the pros of our visit: - Food is not lacking in seasoning. - Croquettes were very good but rich and probably would not order again. - The smoked chicken salad was large, had a delicious dressing and great chicken, cheese and croutons. I would order this again. - Good beers on tap. - GREAT desserts. We had the smore and the peanut butter ice cream sundae and both were inventive classics done well. - Comfortable bar seating. - Awesome decor for a sports bar. - Lots of TVs. - Good prices, at least for Dine Around Seattle And some of the negatives: - WAY too spicy duck wings. These would be amazing at about half the spice level. The cooling yogurt was much needed but not enough to tone down the spice. - We saw our 1st course waiting in the window for 10 minutes before it was served to us. - Because of the delay on our 1st course we got our entrees shortly after the apps came out. - When dessert was served we had no utensils. The server took notice of this but didn't try and get us any silverware. - Some of the screens are difficult to see from the bar because of a large column smack dab of the bar. - Their flavors are sometimes too overpowering (i.e. wings and lamb philly cheesesteak) - The bread on the philly was too crunchy on the top and completely soggy from jus on the bottom to pick up I DO like this restaurant, mainly from the need of more sports bars in Seattle and particularly around the stadiums. I thought the food was good and I would want to try more of it but there are definitely misses on their menu that need a little tweaking.

How can you be located 1 block from Century Link Field and not be open 2 hours before a Sounders match??? You lost the business of these 8 fans and countless others. #FAIL.

Simply put...the worst service. Even if the food was good (which I wouldn't know because we left) it all comes down to first impression. We were ignored. Yes, they saw us. But I'm pretty sure they needed to finish a important conversation (about what they did last night). No biggie. Lots of other options in the area.

We ordered the wrong food with the right drinks that didn't quite go together so my palate was confused. Should have ordered a beer with all this stuff. - The 47 (its in Roman numerals but i'm not gonna bother figuring that one out), named after our winning SuperBowl, was delicious. Gin, apricot liqueur, lime... something else, maybe? Can't quite remember, sorry! After a while i started to wonder if they had used their well gin in this $10 cocktail.. who knows. - Queso fundito with chorizo was tasty. Tasted like they served it with flour tortilla chips, and even though the menu only disclosed "tortilla chips," it would have been good to know as I normally don't eat a lot of wheat. - Fried brussel sprouts. They are deep fried, as we only found out when a server presented them to our table. Wasn't really in the mood for another unhealthy snack after the queso, so we thought the brussel sprouts were safe... unfortunately not. That aside, they were delicious. Obviously. - Kalbi lettuce cups. they're pork and they're very good. all in all an alright place to eat, but wish it wasn't $55 for that and another drink.

The worst possible management and incredible waitresses. We came and the management messed everything up and was the meanest man I've ever met in a customer service position. I'll never go back because he was such an awful person. Id follow the waitresses somewhere else though.

Seriously, if you're looking for GREAT upscale, quick, bar food and a stout IPA... this is it! The staff always remembers our names - the upscale "bar scene" makes you feel as if you're in a sports bar, yet with a high end food selection. All of their food is organic and the meat is grass fed, free range. We come here AT LEAST, 3 times a week.

Hmm. I thought this was a great place to grab some beers on the patio. 3 of us were served and taken care of promptly enough given how busy the place was. We even got a dish of water for the pup. No complaints here.

Really nice place. Yummy happy hour options. Do yourself a giant favor and go right ahead with the fried chicken sandwich and gravy fries. Fries are really salty but I know you don't care. All I would change is the tap water bottles at the community table, it was hot that day and I really would have preferred ice water.

My steak was ok. French fries were burnt. It was my first time coming and the waitress Cara was not friendly at all, not personal and didn't even to check on us while we were eating. I had questions and she seemed like she was too impatient to answer them. My food was out first then it took another 10 minutes for my friends to get there's. We were in Seattle to go to a baseball game. We have been waiting for out checks for 15 minutes and are late to the game.

Talk about the post Mariners game blues.. We stopped here with our very hungry 5 yr old to get a post game meal. We were seated outside next to a lovely fire pit and quickly ordered our drinks. Upon reading the menu it occurred to us that this place was definitely not our typical venue. But hey, they have to be willing to accommodate a 5 yr old for a cheese burger, right? Nope. If you want a single burger with only cheese, you still have to order the $16 deluxe burger, ask for nothing but cheese. My husband and I decided this was not the place for us so after the 7 dollar PBR and the 7.5 dollar glass of cheap white wine we decided to go elsewhere.

Standard bar food at high prices I had a burger $14, and asked for salad instead of fries $2. For $16, you'd expect it to be quite good, but it was just OK. This is a bar aimed at patrons going to CenturyLink Field, with prices that reflect that - and quality based on high turnover rather than discerning patrons. You can have fun here, but don't expect either great food or a bargain.

One word: overpriced. I paid $25-30 (with tax and tip) for a Caesar salad and a slushy adult beverage for lunch. They were good. But like $15 good.

Cool place, convenient location in Pioneer Square but the staff was so unresponsive and not helpful. Our party of 10 met here thinking we'd check out this place to finish watching the Mariners game with drinks and snacks. At the time, there were two other large parties sitting outside dressed in more formal attire, whereas our party was in casual gear. We asked for a table to sit so we could order food inside since we weren't getting service outside. Got inside, had to keep going to the bar to order drinks, and had to ask for the menu to order. Lastly when we asked one of the employees of we could get someone over to take our order, she said someone would be over soon. 20 minutes later no one. We closed our tabs and took our business elsewhere. This place could've been a cool spot to hangout but the service is horrible. Please improve your customer service and not base your service on how customers dress. It's a sports bar!

Pioneer Square has some really good standout restaurants, and some mediocre ones as well. Sadly, Quality Athletics falls more toward the latter than the former. We stopped in for lunch after I convinced my husband that it was in fact, a restaurant and not a sports supply store. I'm a fan of Josh Henderson's other restaurants so this had been on my "to try" list for some time. I ordered the Quality Burger and was immediately surprised at the small size. Not quite a slider, but definitely not what I would expect for $14. It was ok. Nothing special or stand out about it other than the small size. On the other hand, My husband ordered the Fried Chicken Sando and said it was excellent. Also excellent according to our friend dining with us was the Moroccan Chicken Salad. Since I didn't try either, I can only review based on what I ordered. Our server said those were the 2 most popular items on the menu so it would make sense that they were good. Will I go back? Probably not. There are way too many great dining choices in the area. it wasn't bad... wasn't great. Just A-OK as a 3 star rating states.

Hmmm. OK, I know you have your off and on days. Our server was great. She was very friendly and personable, so none of this is her fault. The fault will go to the cook. My Morrocean Chicken Salad had no chicken. My friend who ordered the same WITHOUT chicken got bits of chicken at the bottom. HMMM. - BLT was just okay. I will agree with James G's review, I would like to know what they are trying to do to this place. Is it supposed to be a sports bar, or a hipster sports bar? I don't understand. One other thing that erked me, my friend originally wanted the smoked salmon salad, but they were out of salmon. For such a limited menu, I feel they should have those supplies on hand and not run out. The location is beautiful though, I love the fireplace outside on cold days, and the decor of the place is great, I love the dark tables and chrome chairs, but I feel it should not be a sports bar. A lounge would be a great idea, since they have all those tvs, make it a lounge with a nice drink selection and some Quality dishes, and the restaurant would be booming. This is so close to the stadiums, and when people come from a game, a crowd of guys are not going to want fancy sandwiches and salads, they want grease and cold drinks. I would like to try them one more time before I make a final decision on this place.

This at the onset may look like some of the other spots to grab a bite pre or post game but that is where it ends. The food is really reaching for another level. Those who might be stopping on Cap Hill or Fremont/Ballard to eat something other than a brew pub burger need to check this place out. If you are looking for a place to watch a game/match they have a ton of screens, I was never without a view of the game. The combination of booth seating and group tables would easily accommodate a group of any size. They also have a sectioned off bar if you prefer that. After a slight hiccup/miscommunication/MIA??? with our original server Austin stepped in and gave what I would call legendary service. We started with the Fried Brussel Sprouts and the Quinoa Salad. Both were delicious and my wife described the Quinoa Salad as a "Scavenger Hunt" of flavors, in a good way! We also tried the Chorizo Dip, do yourself a favor and get this, it is tasty, perfect for sharing, make sure to stir it up. For our entrees my wife had the Fried Chicken Sando and I had the Duck Wings. Let me start by saying I enjoy wings and have had my share of them running the gambit from poor to awesome. The Duck Wings are easily the MOST CREATIVE I have ever had. They are spicy and not for the meek, seriously, if you have ever had real Jerk chicken you know what I mean. It is not just about the heat though. As any real fan of spicy food knows it is about the flavor and the heat. The chef succeeded in creating a delicious, original, quality wing that I would put up against any in town. The Lime Yogurt sauce works perfectly at cooling the heat while complimenting the flavor. My wife already reviewed the sandwich so I will not steal her thunder. At this point I should insert #OrderedTooMuchFood but we had plenty of tasty stuff to take home. For dessert the Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sundae. The "Kracker Jack" style popcorn on top was surprisingly spicy, I enjoyed it but YMMV. The ice cream is made in house. So in conclusion Seattle we always boast about having a diverse palate. This place puts it to the test on game day.

Totally exceeded expectations on all the food. The duck wings were awesomely spiced and really large. The soup special (curry vegetarian) was chunky and flavorful and the beef bowl was outstanding. The subtlety of the flavors came through as if in a much fancier place. Yes, the prices aren't small...but that is what one expects at a location near the stadiums, yet the food was amazing. The Rainier pitcher at $12 was a fine food go-with. As others have noted, the atmosphere is terrific. Lots of screens to watch lots of things. And we were there before a Sounders game and it was open. And we got a fireplace outside seat right away and the service was fine. We'd go again...especially for the food...even if not going to a game.

Didn't have a chance to find out if the food was "quality" because we left before we had the chance. My friends and I sat without so much as a "be right with you" for at least five minutes. Eventually a cook came from the kitchen to refill his water and asked if we had been helped. After we said "no" he went to tell the hostess and the server she was speaking to. They replied that they knew we were there but still didn't come over to speak with us. We promptly left after that. Looks like all of the bad service rumors were true.. Hope the food is at least enjoyable, but I'll probably never know.

This is a really creative menu, which I think explains some of the low ratings here. Open your minds, friends! We tried a smattering of items and every dish was unique or interesting in its own way- I really liked that. We had: Brussel Sprouts, Fried Chicken Sando, Chorizo Bean Dip Thing, Quinoa Salad (my fav)... And duck wings: perfectly cooked, crazy spice combo, cool yogurt sauce- yum. If you like to eat good food and don't mind trying new things- you need to eat here! PS- We had a service snafu that they recovered brilliantly from. Our server took my drink order and 10 minutes later I saw her walk out the door. After another 5 minutes I flagged down a server, Austin, and found out that she had left without transferring our table to anyone else. He brought my drink right away and comped it on our bill. He gave us awesome and attentive service and saved the day! Thanks, Austin!

Went back for lunch on a sunny day. Ordered the Quality Burger, which came w/ hand cut fries. Prices are a bit expensive. Sad that they didn't have the Salted Caramel Ice Cream with Cracker Jacks anymore on the menu. Good customer service. Maybe they can add more small and large plate items to the menu plus desserts. Next visit gots to get the Apple Crisp dessert!

Decent food good service high prices! I think the idea and atmosphere is right but there pricing is a little bit higher then the rest of downtown I mean I pay less for a shot of jack at the WAC then I do here at QA. That being said I recommend the salmons wings but definitely not the grilled cheese. They say it's non traditional I says it's not a sandwich haha but I guess they believe tomato potato instead of tomato tomato good food all around though and good service but not great like other places I have been.

I went here last night with a group of girls in the hopes of playing some "Badass Bingo." Sadly, the bar was too full of people watching Midwestern basketball games so they ended up canceling the event. However, to make up for it, they gave our group free drinks and free snacks! The cocktails were delicious (most of my group had a George something... Some kind of delicious drink with every alcohol you could want topped up with ginger beer), they had a pretty good selection of draft beers, and the food was awesome. The servers were also all super delightful! I wish I had had some cash on me so I could have left them a tip for all the free stuff. The space is also really cool; super huge, tons of space to move around especially if you're just grabbing a drink before heading to a game. Long story short: this bar is awesome and I'll definitely be going back soon. And leaving a huge tip.

Before going I checked out their online menu. It wasn't exactly the same as in the restaurant. I had some dishes that I wanted to try out but apparently it wasn't listed on the menu at the restaurant. The waitress said their menus changes daily. Well if that's the case then update your website and make a note of it. Waitress wasn't friendly of helpful. I told her I had a reservation an she said it didn't matter since they weren't busy. Well if you're familiar with open table you know you get points upon checking into your reservation. So the waitress already from the start was not to my liking. Then the whole menu ordeal. Still giving her the benefit of the doubt I waited til my meals came. I ordered 2 appetizers and an entree. One appetizer and the the entree came at once while the other appetizer didn't show up for about 15mins. During this time my entree was getting cold. Once done we waited for about 15 more minutes for dessert. Apparently it took longer to get dessert but it was ok for the entree to sit there cold. I was pretty done with this staff. Luckily the duck wings were great and very spicy. Would go good with rice, lol. The chicken sandwich was greasy and a huge slab of the aoili was dumped on, not even spread on the bun. The ice cream sundae and smores were good. I wouldn't come back to this place to eat in but would order the duck wings to go

Fantastic new restaurant by the stadiums. New twist in high end bar. Creative upscale menu with duck wings, fish tacos, Brussels sprouts and beets. The designers did a great job with the decor. It's very inviting. Love the "AstroTurf" carpet and lockers on the walls. This will be the new hotspot in Pioneer Square.

Went here to celebrate my husbands birthday and had an amazing time! Food, drinks, service and decor were all amazing. Sure, the menu was a little risqué for a sports bar, but those in our group who were less adventurous were quickly appeased by the potato croquettes and chicken wings smothered in that delicious tangy, spicy barbecue sauce. The topping on the cake was desserts for sure though. Three different kinds of cotton candy, chocolate cherry cake, and peach funnel cake! Amazing! I know we had a great time here celebrating and watching the game and will definitely go back for more.

The highlight of Quality Athletics are the firepits outside, which are inviting. They have a solid menu that is a step up from similar places. The gravy fries were awesome and better than the poutine at other restaurants. Beverage selection was average but thought it was cool they had ginger beer on the menu. Service was decent but it took a while just to get an appetizer.

The atmosphere and decor of this place is actually pretty cool. Service was fairly good, albeit a bit inflexible. The food, however, is all kinds of mediocre. The aim is to be a non-traditional sports bar. Ok, if you want to force your clientele to try something different, make the food actually taste good. Our group of 4 tried the grilled squid, potato croquettes, duck wings, fried Brussels sprouts and a meat entree. There was not one thing I would ever order again. Nothing was terrible (except maybe the duck wings---ehhhkk), but nothing was good either. It's a shame because it's a good location and decent atmosphere, but I'll never come back unless they stop trying to tell people what they should like. The menu and cooking needs to drastically change in order for this place to survive. The prices on food and booze are quite steep as well. $6 for a tall boy of PBR? WTF!?

At last, imagination combined with food quality in a sports bar! Certainly not the place for those seeking cheap classic fare, QA is an exciting place for anyone who enjoys a creative menu, well executed, with skilled service. On Friday we had an amazing lunch of quinoa salad with duck, and a shaved ham plate, and went back on Sunday for their brunch menu...leaving just a bit too stuffed but smiling nonetheless. We were even inspired to check out the owner's other restaurant, Westward, which has similarly excellent food in a beautiful waterfront setting.

Loved this place! Had their take on a Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was awesome. Service was great and nice. The salad was amazing. I had one of their frozen concoctions which was also great! Nice decor, would be a great place for a date to watch the game. They seem to lack internet service but I was able to get it through my phone.

I love this restaurant as an alternative to all of the other neighborhood places - The Lodge, Sluggers, Elysian, Pyramid... it has FRESH food, DIFFERENT food, and yes, it is more expensive. But the atmosphere is cool, it's comfortable, service is great (the servers are super nice). When I go out to eat, it's nice to choose from things outside of union rings and burgers. OH, and the TVs are huge to watch the Hawks. Thanks Quality Athletics :)

Very helpful hostess who got us a table right before the Seahawks game! Funny, down to earth and helpful server! Food is out of the norm of sports fare -no burgers fries here and very much appreciated! A few vegetarian options, loved the burrata and quinoa salad!

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I love everything about it but I hate that it is so close and convenient for me to go to. A unique sports bar with wonderful food. Was there earlier this week and it looked like they revamped their menu a little bit. Tried some new items and they were wonderful. Chips and dip were better than expected, and the chicken wings make you want to come back all of the time. Shout out to my favorite waiter Mark. He gave us great service the last time we were there. Also saw a lady who I assume is the manager handle a drunk guy trying to get into the bar with so much grace. I thought she was incredible. Good food. Good people. Good times.

I've been here multiple times and have always left satisfied. I understand some people have had "poor service" but you have to give new places a chance to work out the kinks. I have had nothing but good experiences from the management and saw them defuse a tense gameday situation with an unruly guest quite smoothly. Prices are a bit on the high side for a sports bar but the food is top notch and the atmosphere is something worth paying for. I do hope they incorporate some more "bar food" staples with a twist into the menu.

Delicious duck wings with the most perfect crisp and delightful yogurt sauce to cool off the spice., great service. We really loves this place for appetizers but their prices are a bit high for the area. The waiter (Brandon) was really fabulous and friendly. We are looking forward to coming back here to watch the next football game.

Okay, there are a million places for HH around the Pioneer Square/Sodo area, however are they places you also find food that you might crave in the middle of the night? NO! Enter Quality Athletics-we just left and I had to post this review. Service: Five stars, our server was friendly, informative, gave us just the right amount of attention. When my friend was unsure of the apple cider, she offered and brought a sample. We got rose (I know its winter). The potato chips & onion dip-both were very tasty. The chips were fresh, thin and crispy. The dip was so,so creamy, oniony minus the salty flavor you get with packaged stuff from the store. The rose was a perfect pairing with the chips. We also decided on the fried Brussell sprouts, they were absolutely delicious-umami,with a bit of sweet-sour from the balsamic. I got chicken wings to go for the BF-they were according to him, the best wings ever! I loved the pickled fennel and peanut sauce. I can't wait to to try other menu items. So glad they are in my work-hood!

Great if you like a place that closes at 9:30 on a Friday. I'm sure this place hops on game nights, but they will run you out by 10 on any other night. Rude, uneducated staff. This place will survive on the game day dollar. Sad.

  • Rob D.

I've seen reviews that say 'Quality Athletics' doesn't live up to its name. However, I'm not so sure that I agree. This is only due to a technicality, as the name doesn't qualify if the quality in 'Quality Athletics' is good or bad. This place gets packed during Seahawks game days. As a Seahawks fan, I'll be liberal and say there are about ten home games per year. However, unless the NFL season is to increase by an order of magnitude, I can't see how this place will survive. DO NOT order the 'crispy charred chicken wings'. Trust me. Yes, the sauce was good but it ends there. The wings weren't remotely close to crispy and seemed barely cooked & slimy - not good. It was obvious from the perfect grill marks, that in a move driven purely for aesthetics, the wings were placed on a grill top for only a few seconds after they were initially cooked. I've also ordered the 'Porchetta Sammich' (obviously this particular visit was after closing time for nearby Rain Shadow Meats and Delicatus) which was fairly tasty. However, this 'Sammich' was $15 - a price that isn't a big deal if not for the fact that I received a half of a sandwich. Again, $15 for one-half of one sandwich - WTF?!?!?! I found the 'Fried Chicken Sando' to be very overrated. The sandwich was small & overpriced ($15) and severely lacking in the flavor department. On the bright side, at least the fries aren't awful here - one redeeming quality @ Quality Athletics. There is a decent layout for televisions to watch games, including televisions viewable from a rather large outdoor seating area. But, let's be honest: A) chicken wings are an important part of watching games B) this simply isn't a real sports bar. Quality Athletics is intended to be a twist on the common sports bar. Well, a sports bar it isn't & the menu leaves much to be desired. Doing something different is good IF you make it work - something this restaurant seems to be struggling with. Also attempted to order take out only to learn that the kitchen closes at 8:00 p.m. on Mondays. Despite wanting this place to be good & giving it numerous opportunities...... it is a huge disappointment overall.

Two words: overpriced, underwhelmed. I went for lunch with a friend. The $14 hamburger was only average. The burger was undercooked, more raw than rare, and the fries were way oversalted. My friend had the Moroccan chicken salad which was over-spiced: more like 5 stars, which was barely eatable, with the hot masking all the other flavors. The two stars are because the waitress was very nice and tried to fix things for us, getting me new fries and a take-out salad for my friend to replace the one she couldn't eat. For these prices, the kitchen staff should be paying more attention to what's coming out of the kitchen, and not serving food which is undercooked, too salty or too spicy. It will be quite a while before I try it again.

This was my second time to pre-func here before the sounders match. The first time we never got served at all on the patio even though the waitress knew we were waiting for her ( for an hour... ) They had just opened then and were slammed so I thought I'd give them another chance - I wanted to try their food. This time we beat the crowd and got an order in. Great food but the service still sucks. I can't really blame this on the server; she was nice enough but was completely overwhelmed. Why doesn't management have more staff there on game day? Who was the women who kept directing the door guys but ignored my husband and I sitting there with empty beer glasses? If she's front of house, she's doing a pretty crappy job of it. Why do they seem to put more emphasis on security than service? Won't be back even though there's more stuff on the menu I'd like to try.

They have beer. They have food... But it just kind a weird. Are they fancy....? Are they a sports bar...? Are they ahead of their time...? Am I in a fancy ass locker room...? The green rug is...fun? The fire pits...are they supposed to be that giant? But they have beer, so it's good.

Terrible menu, over-priced drinks and bad service. A $6 can of PBR to wash down your $35 slow roasted duck? Get the F outta here. This place is obviously here for the new, up and coming residents of the building they occupy and all the future developments in the pipeline. I've been there twice now and as much as I want to like it, it all just kind of comes off a little too pretentious for my taste. No burger or fries on the menu at a sports bar? Lame. I will say however, im happy all these new businesses are coming to the square. Im not anti-development and just because I dont care for this place doesnt mean others wont love it. To each his own, but this will definitely not be on our list of places to go when we are out in the neighborhood.

It's a bar with sports, bar food and drinks. The bar food is pretty good considering it is bar food (I constantly crave their gravy fries). There is one exceptionally talented bartender who is fast, pays attention to detail, constantly offering new/tasty concoctions and is always working! He is amazing and I appreciate his work there! I will always come back for a title 9 and will always try whatever he wants to make for me. Thank you!

An especially bad experience for a "sports bar" which will ultimately lead to me never setting foot here again. Came on a Seahawks bye week Sunday to watch one particular NFL game. Sat down with my group - we were the second table seated - right in front of the television showing this game. Bartender asked us nicely if we had any requests for any of the televisions -- we told him our only request for any TV in the house was for the one in front of us to stay status-quo. Had a few beers and some food and the place started to fill up a little bit. At one point in the 2nd quarter, in the middle of a play, the television inexplicably changed channels. Obviously upset, we ask the bartender what's going on. He asks the guy at the front who is apparently in charge of this, and he tells him that someone on the other side of the restaurant wanted a different game on, and apparently the TVs are linked to the one we are watching. This guy (manager? possibly) then turns confrontational and tells us that our game is on a different TV over the bar. One that has an obstructed view from our seats. I get up to go talk to the guy and ask why we should be the ones who lose out - we were there first and had chosen our spot based on the television arrangement. He looked at me and said, verbatim "Well, I'm not changing it back." No valid explanation, no rationale -- made me furious. I'm guessing he knew someone at the table that wanted it changed. Anyway - that's totally unacceptable behavior for me, so I'm done. We left at halftime and went to the Elysian Fields. Too bad. The beer was tasty (albeit expensive), and our waitress was attentive and had a great sense of humor.

I know this place is spankin' new, so I try not to be too harsh for this reason. We arrived to the mostly empty bar with a largish group, and after we received menus were asked for our order after about 5 minutes. We ordered a few pitchers, and it was happy hour, their house beer (Rainier) and an IPA. The IPA arrived a few minutes later, but the other 2 pitchers of house beer did not. We waited at least another 5 minutes before one of the people in our group went up to the bar to see if they forgot the rest of our order. He informed us that he just found out there was something wrong with the tap on that beer and they needed to figure out what to do. After another few minutes he comes to our table and asked which other beer we'd like. We asked for Olympia, that also had an issue, so we ordered the Pale Ale to replace our order. This took an additional 5 minutes. I get that things take time, but I was needing to catch my train home, so I wasn't interested in waiting around to chug 1 beer and run. The bar literally had only 1 other group who was done ordering, so there wasn't really a good reason to have such slow service. I really wanted to love this place, but I more than likely won't be returning unless I have lots of time to waste waiting. Sorry guys! Step it up!

As residents of the building, the other, myself and a friend (also a building resident) went down for dinner. We waited a couple weeks from opening as the first few days can be problematic for restaurants. Also, we purposely chose a night when both stadiums were dark. We ordered drinks and two apps. The onion dip and chips and the potato croquettes. Shortly after, our server came back and took our dinner order. The menu offerings are not very enticing. I finally decided on clam strips, the other chose a pasta with southern king crab. The friend also ordered clam strips. While waiting for drinks and apps, our dinners arrived. We told the people delivering our dinners that we had ordered drinks and apps. One guy said he would find our waitress. Then our drinks arrived, delivered by our server. She politely asked if we were enjoying our dinners. We all kind of looked at each other. We asked about the apps, she looked like it was the first she heard of apps. The clam strips were very heavily breaded. When I removed the breading to actually taste the clam, it was like a fishy rubber band with a spicy mayonnaise type sauce. The friend agreed, not too good. The other took a bite of his pasta and had a funny look on his face. He asked about his dish and was told the crab comes from South America. It tasted like a salty canned product. The apps then showed up. Onion dip was no better than the dip of the 70's with packaged soup mix. The croquettes were sitting in some sour cream type sauce. They were bland with the texture of baby food. Again we all looked at each other, and requested our check. They did remove the crab pasta from the bill, which we didn't request them to do. We walked a few blocks and had dinner someplace else. While I agree that this area doesn't need another sports bar serving bad food, this place was disappointing. The place could be good but it seems they tried too hard to offer different food. Sadly, it isn't good.

I've stopped here a couple times. Once for salmon wings, duck wings, and chips. Another time for beer and lamb tostada. I see what this place is trying to do, but I can't say I'm a fan. Take the salmon wings for example: On paper it's a fun twist on traditional bar fare, but in reality it just doesn't provide the satisfaction of buffalo wings or a traditionally cooked salmon filet. The concept is well executed, I just don't think it's a concept worth exploring. I'm always excited to try new dishes and I'm no picky eater, but in the end I found the menu to be a bit weird and unappetizing rather than tasty and interesting. Don't get me wrong - the kitchen staff clearly knows how to cook. I just think the menu is a little too far out there at that moment. If they can reel back the experimental items a bit and bring in some slightly more traditional game-day dishes, I'd be glad to give them another shot.

A girlfriend and I stopped by for lunch the other day, and we were extremely happy with everything. The ambiance was pleasant, the music was great, the service was superb our server (Amanda) super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all of the ingredients and wines that were on the menu! I am really happy that QA opened up so close to work, we will be returning =)

This is a sports bar BUT clean and new and open. All the things you wish for. TVs at every view. Easy parking.

The food here is delicious! The brussels sprouts in balsamic vinegaret simply amazing! I love the idea of the "shareable's". Perfect for a night out with the husband! Don't forget to come for trivia! Every other Tuesday at 7pm. The best part? Happy hour prices!

Been here a few times, for lunch or after-work drinks. Service has been hit-and-miss; sometimes very good, sometimes only OK, once painfully slow. My primary complaint about this place is the food: yes, some of it tastes pretty good (not all of it), but WTF are they going for, stylistically? Is this a sports bar? Is it a hipster foodie place? I am sorry, but those two don't mix. For example: duck wings? They were OK and different, but not terribly good. And, not what I want from a sports bar. And, the whole shared entree thing is weird...for a sports bar. Whole fish taco board?? Probably tastes good; but a pain in the A to eat, especially at a packed table. Speaking of seating, the benches in the booths are rather short...not terribly comfortable. And, the beer selection is surprisingly shallow. And, the website doesn't seem to have a menu (if it does, I couldn't locate it amongst the cliché vintage sports pictures and other BS) I'll probably be back, just because it's close to work. And, maybe they'll find their groove. But right now, I just don't get it...
