I am 7 1/2 months pregnant and went to Post Alley looking for a Mexican spot (CRAVING) for lunch that apparently closed down. So I stopped into Post Alley Pizza and got two slices of pepperoni and sausage pizza. Turns out, even though I was craving Mexican, this Pizza really hit the spot! Why only 4 stars? Well...I love to drench my pizza in ranch...no matter how amazing it is, but they didn't have a side of ranch available. So, even though the pizza is amazing without it...I suggest offering sides of ranch (even if you have to charge). :-) I will be back for sure!

Customer service for me is HUGE. and they deliver. This place has a local, small town feel in the middle of a... not small town. They regularly serve pizza featuring fresh fruit/veggies from pike place market. Get to know them, they'll treat you well.

Grabbed a slice of sausage and pepperoni on my last morning in Seattle before heading home to Chicago and now I ask myself. Why didn't I discover this place while visiting here? Chicago and NY is known for their pizza and I felt this was a fusion of them. Nice ingredients, hot and fresh to order. Great service as well.

The customer service is AMAZING. The best you could ask for. Yes, THAT good. We had weekly pizza parties for awhile while doing a lot of customer validation meetings --- and always ordered 1 cheese and 1 pepperoni pizza from Post Alley. I asked them to deliver by 445PM on Wednesdays, and they always delivered - WITH a smile, and on time. The pizza was always a hit with everyone in our accelerator and our customers that came to help us with research.

What an awesome place! The service was superb and the food was excellent! No fuss over substitutions here! If we lived here I'd frequent this establishment often...no doubt! Great people serving great food. What more could you ask for?

Post Alley Pizza is the go-to slice for many locals during the workday. A quick-hit or a "needed break" spot, the pizza's great as is the welcoming customer service. Mark has really made this into an easy lunchtime decision.

A hidden gem in Post Alley. Located in the south end of the alley, this is a restaurant where the owner is hands-on and obviously takes a great deal of pride in the food he puts out. I found this restaurant on Yelp and have back several times since. Fresh, local ingredients, a crispy thin crust, and super friendly customer services makes this place worth a try! Lunchtime can be quite crowded and they close at 6, so get there early for dinner or plan on taking it to go! Warning! Be careful if you order the large, because it's not large--it's HUGE! A bit hard to find, but well worth the trouble!

My favorite pizza in Seattle. Closest to a NY slice you're going to find. They're closed on weekends but hopefully that will change one day. They've also got a good selection of hot sandwiches.

I came across this place while walking drunk off of 2 dozen oysters from Elliot's Oyster House. I had and have been craving a nice slice of pizza pie. I looked it up and was glad to see that it had 4 stars on Yelp. I walked in and scoped it out. From the nice aromas of freshly baked pizzas coming out of the oven to great service and conversation with the owner(?) from Brooklyn. There was also someone else we talked to mainly that lived in Carlsbad (San Diego area) and that's where I've been living! A lot of nice conversation while we waited for our pizza to be re-toasted. We got a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! The cheese was gooey, remained on the slice, the dough was thin, light, fluffy and crispy. Classic pepperoni did not disappoint. I don't understand people who say presentation is everything and gave one star. The pizza looked perfectly fine to me, not outstanding, but it is pizza and I would say taste is everything!!!

New owners have been running this place for a couple years now and they show a lot of pride in what they do. Slices are better, and larger than before and they showcase local fresh ingredients. They aren't afraid to try something different in addition to the classic pepperoni and cheese slices.

Figured I'd bump this up a star because I just love coming here. This small hole-in-the-wall offered some fantastic slices when I first reviewed it 3 years ago, and still to this day. Nice, thin crust and a fantastic attitude with great toppings = 5 stars. Keep it up, Post Alley Pizza!

Had a nice slice of cheese ($2.75) here. Friendly folks who own it, and fast service. Definitely a good option for a slice of cheese downtown. Located at the end of post alley, or just off first, it's got some nice seats to sit at looking out on the passerbys.

If you want NY style pizza, this is the place. Customer service is AMAZING. The pizza slices are LARGE. Cash and Credit are accepted. Reasonably priced.

Love it here! It's a hop and a skip from my work. They are terribly friendly, patient and welcoming. They usually have at least 4 to 5 different types at the ready to order, including veggie! Great salads, great pizza, great value!

Presentation is everything. This place has none of it (even the pizza looks dead). Meh. I've had better. I don't mind thin crust but I spent $8 bucks for a slightly soggy greek salad with hardly fresh ingredients. The one slice of pizza was not appetizing to look at (been sitting around in a tray) and was reheated (ya I know that's the way they do it) but it didn't fill me up either. And afterwards I got the runs... Something's wrong with this place.

As close to NY pizza as you can get in Seattle. Great service and conversation with the owner(?) from Brooklyn too. The sauce had oodles of oregano and wasn't too sweet or acidic. The cheese was gooey but still remained on the slice. The dough was a good balance between light and fluffy and crispy underneath. It was thin crust and held up to the fold-in-half method of eating, which I prefer over a knife and fork. My boyfriend had the pepperoni and it was also good. Definitely stop here for satisfying pizza.

Tried this place for lunch. The pizza was a solid four stars but the phenomenal customer service bumps Post Alley Pizza to five stars. I am very partial to thin crust pizza and this sure hit the spot. Unlike a lot of thin crust pizzas I've had, this pizza was extremely thin but not soggy in the least. They really know how to cook it! The sauce is also flavorful (very heavy on the basil, which I enjoy) and there's plenty of yummy mozzarella. I only tried the "plain" (cheese) pizza but the others looked great as well. The prices are fairly reasonable given the HUGE size of the slices. The restaurant itself is small and modest and caters to takeout, though there are still a couple tables if you do want to dine in. As for the customer service, we were warmly greeted when we walked in and the guys joked with us while we were waiting as the pizza was cut. I highly recommend Post Alley Pizza. I will definitely be back!

We order here a lot for work meetings. A lot of the specialty pies are pretty similar in toppings... So same tastes over and over again. Maybe it's our crazy admin who orders it. It's ok 'Za, but a bit greasy and I always have a gut ache afterwards.

Post saved our party after Frolik bailed 3 days in advance. Post reserved us space, plates to cut our ice cream cake, and saved the event. The food and drinks were good, really good food. I have to say the environment is fantastic. My only complaint is really slow service. My party found the service really slow and poor so half left early to go to the bar down the street.

Tasty. Tasty. Tasty! I love Post Alley Pizza. I generally bring lunch to work, but I like to splurge once a week and when I do - I head here. Always a great selection of pie, yummy salads and awesome lunch specials. Mike & Shane are the best and I always look forward to seeing them. If you work in the area, they also deliver - which is fab for team meetings. Check em' out. They'll give you something delicious to put in your food hole!

So, my wife and I passed by this Pizza joint (on corner of Post & Seneca) while on our way to the "Seattle Great Wheel" today, 3/14/2013. At a quick glance, it looks like you don't want to walk in there. Anyhow, after walking around the 206 all day, enjoying are anniversary, we were about to head home when my wife decided she wanted a Pie. We didn't want to walk back down the stairs-DUH, we were exhausted, so we saw another PIE joint on 2nd ave and walked there. As we approached & the waiter opened the door I asked "does your restauraunt sell by the slice?" Of course the answer was no because my review is on Post Alley. ;) Anyhow, Shane-the cook & Mike the owner (I think that's their name) are awesome. They make time to get to know you. The atmosphere is like an east coast, back alley pie join. Shane spends time on the crust, that's where it's at along with the slices are filling. I ordered a small greek salad w/ our 2 slices and WOW, I was full before I ate my pie. I read Dave M.'s 2 star review......of course they leave the pie's out and reheat!! hasn't he been to the east coast? HEY! it beats eating the mcdonalds crap or any fast food or frozen food buddy...so don't listen to dave m's review.. ;) If you are looking for a bang for your buck, friendly friendly service and some great great food....check this place out and make it a habit every time you are in the area. I know we will. Also, just know from 11:30-1pm is lunch hour, this is how amazing this place is..... Hours: Mon-Fri: 11am-6:30pm (206)382-8475 P.S...Delivery from 3 block radius :)

What a great place! We arrived just after a Big lunch rush with a double stroller. Needless to say, we were taking up a lot of space in a small restaurant. The owner was so kind and helped us get situated and comfortable. The pizza was amazing too! What a great combination of great food and wonderful customer service. This will definitely be our Seattle go to pizza shop!

These two guys are really friendly. I've gone here to get pizza by the slice and I like their crispy crusts and their lunch deals are reasonably priced.

This place is da bomb. The crust is crispy and light( not to thin and not a dough pie), the cheese is high quality (not tasteless and greasy), roasted vegetable toppings were amazing, and the sauce was unique. I chatted with the owner and chef for a minute, they obviously have fun experimenting with food. If you are near pikes or downtown, come eat here. Cheap slices and meatball subs.

The best pizza I have ever had! The crust is thin but not too thin, crispy and delicious and they sell it by the slice. I am going there this evening and tomorrow for lunch. There only con is they close at 6pm but I guess when your pizza is that good, you dont have to be open late! This place is delicious!!!

The way a local hole-in-the-wall should be...perfectly imperfect. They serve up the thinner, crispier crust pizza, so if you don't like that you might not fall in love with Post Alley Pizza, but if you do--and you certainly should--this is doubtless my favorite pizza joint in Seattle. A MUST visit for every pizza lover.

I walked in here for a quick bite on my way to work. Pretty easy -- you walk in, they have pizza sitting out, and you pick what you'd like. Other options are available as well. The people working were a bunch of your average Joe Seattle guys, and the guy who helped me out was extremely polite and talkative while taking my order. The pizza was pretty good and decently priced. As I left, I was thanked by name (he got it from my card) which was a nice personal touch. I'll be back.

Funky ambiance, friendly service. Pizza is ok. Tomato sauce is a little heavy (read very thick) and not too seasoned. Not awful, definitely tasty in it's own hearty way. CRUST IS FANTASTIC. light and crunchy. Prices on slices are great. 2.35 for cheese, 2.85 for the specialty. Lunch deals looked pretty good. Slice sizes were fairly large.

  • Kelly K.

Wow. I confess I wasn't that excited about zucchini being the veggie option today (anyone who grows zucchini gets bored of it really fast) but paired with that spicy red sauce, my oh my. The thin crust was fab, too. I don't know who decided the vibe is "hipster" but I was in line with a guy in dirty coveralls and another in a suit and everyone was chatting warmly with the folks behind the counter (who were somehow also able to deliver super fast service). Now that's the sign of a great, neighborhood joint.

    (5)
  • Eric R.

The thin crust is what really turns me on about this place. Most pizza places, the crust dominates the experience and it's too many calories, but here it's got a crispy bottom and a balanced flavor. The eating area is generally kind of cold. But, that's a minor complaint.

There aren't many NY style pizza places here in Seattle. I have to say that this place was pretty cool. I love the location, back in Post Alley. The owner was super cool to me, even though, after me and my partner in crime had a L pizza for ourselves, I ordered more slices. That probably sounds bad, but I just really love pizza. Next time I can get back to Post Alley I have to get myself a slice or an entire pie!

**Under new ownership as of June 2012 This pizza joint is fairly close to work, and sadly that's about the only thing going for it. It used to be ok, but sadly my meh experience is closely mirrored by those "post-lunchtime" reviews below. The people who worked there in the past, and the new owners, are all really nice. Friendly, care about your experience, and smiling. But this is pizza, and sadly their spirit doesn't carry over into the food. I ordered a post lunch couple of slices, and they were tossed back in the oven for reheating. They were pulled far too quickly, and were not warm, sadly. Also, the bottom of the pies were blackened, and tasted....sooty. There is no other word for it. I hope the new owners get it together, and soon.

  • Rebecca S.

Cheap? Yes. Good? No. I went here during lunchtime during the summer. There was only one lady in front of me, and it took them about fifteen minutes to get to my turn. The pizza itself was under $3 for one slice, however the pizza had obviously been sitting out as they had to reheat it for me. I also noticed more than a few flies in the place. The one thing that did look good here were the salads. They create them on the spot in a huge bowl and mix it all together for you. I may go back to try one, but considering how inconvenient the location is and how meh my pizza was, I probably won't be returning.

Under new management/owners as of June or July 2012. They're still getting on their feet, only been a few months, but I have to say if the current improvements are a window into what's to come out of this great location, then they have a hit business on their hands. While they still serve "traditional" pizza toppings, the key gem is getting s slice or whole pie of their fresh veggies. Heirloom tomatoes, light garlic sauce, basil and goat cheese?! So awesome! After trying a slice I had to find out more and happened upon their Facebook page. Just do a search for them and you can see some of the new pizza creations they are serving using local toppings. Don't pay attention to the menu, just ask and they will create. I asked the owner and beer and wine is coming soon.

I came here upon the recommendation of a friend as the place he likes in the area for a slice. Its kind of a shame that I can only give it two stars because the people were really cool and they had Orange Fanta pop in a bottle. Hot damn that is 2 stars right there. So what gives? Well the stomach ache and cramps after lunch killed the experience for me. That said the dough was really bland and just lacked that yumminess that you get from Pagliacci dough. I wont totally damn them since maybe I got unlucky but it was a pretty unpleasant day after lunch. I had the pepperoni slice and a cheese. Who knows but it was pretty immediate, like during the walk back to the office. Bummer...

Mark and Shane are doing an awesome job of providing delicious by the slice (you can order a whole pie too) pizza out of their hole-in-the-wall style shop. You can typically catch them making trips up to Pike Place Market in the mornings, to grab fresh seasonal produce. Their menu consists of typical favorites with options for both veg and meat eaters as well as new creations based on what's available from the Market. My favorite remains the Broccoli and Cauliflower. As a regular, I've helped give input on some of the more experimental pies.

I didn't meet the staff but I ate some pizza. I likey! The boss decided to get pizza for us working SO hard & picked up some meat pizza and a veggie which is what I ate. Crust: perfect. Not too thick or thin. Definitely not greasy. The veggies were really fresh and the sauce was the perfect amount. There's nothing I hate more than too much sauce because I feel that 'they' are hiding something. The man. You know what I mean. Or not. Anyway, it's close to work, fresh & good.

I'm torn on how to rate Post Alley Pizza. This is an occasion where I feel being able to award a half-star would allow me to more accurately express how I feel. It's two-and-a-half star calibre. It's cheap and convenient, located only a block from my place of employment, but even given this, I've only popped in about thrice over the six months I've worked around here. The first time, the pizza was at least respectable, and fresh, but we were there right at the lunch rush and it took probably 15 or more minutes before all of us could even order because the small staff was so backed up. That's not necessarily their fault, because, well, it's lunchtime and there are only three of them. But you should be aware of this if you're popping in to grab a slice or two on the run. You'll be in and out much more quickly if you do not go during the lunch rush. The other times I've gone, it's because I've worked through the typical lunch time and need to eat something before I raid the snack room at work, which may be worse even than a couple slices of pizza. Maybe it's a wash. But having a lunch of Cheetos, root beer, and peanut butter Ritz crackers definitely leaves me feeling like more of a nutrition jerk than even pizza does. The price, though, for this convenience, is that the pizza will be not nearly as fresh, unless you've arrived at just the right time. Naturally, at lunchtime, pies are rotating much more quickly than they do after the lunch rush drops off. I went today and ordered a cheese slice and a veggie slice. As I watched the attendant lift the slices off the pies sitting on the counter, I was filled with a slight sense of preemptive remorse. "Surely they'll look happier when they emerge from the oven," I consoled myself. They did, but it was short lived. I walked the block back to my office, box of reheated pizza in hand, and by the time I reached my desk, the transient state of "piping hotness" after emerging from the oven had subsided into a sadder tepidity that yielded little pleasure upon consumption. The old crust had gotten mealy--or maybe it's always mealy and just less noticeable when the pie is actually fresh. The main flavors I got were thanks to the generous coating of parmesan and crushed red pepper that I had applied prior to departing the establishment. Sorry, but Post Alley Pizza falls way short of my standard-bearer for NY-ish style street pizza, Big Mario's. But that's not nearly as close to work, and not really a place I'd make a special trip to; I just happen to be nearby often, at times when pies are rotating a lot--because the freshness of your pie will determine a lot about the quality of your experience, pretty much anywhere, but some pies are just better than others. So now, here I sit in an attempt to convince myself that it was still preferable to a desperate snack room raid. Yes. Yes, I think so. I should have gotten one of their salads, because I would surely not hate myself for eating a salad. They're freshly tossed and actually look pretty decent. But come on, the level of discipline required to walk into a place called "Post Alley PIZZA" and order a salad is just asking too much. AM I RIGHT OR AM I RIGHT?

Walked by today for the first time and was looking in the windows trying to find prices. One of the employees waved at me and gestured for me to come in. Once inside they showed me a variety of options for slices (most of them had mushrooms and had been sitting there for a long time.) However a pepperoni pizza had just come out of the oven so I decided to try that. Being from New England I've had plenty of "NY" style pizza over the years and I definitely found the crust to be of that tradition. The slice was large with a semi-crispy crust that you could fold in half if you desire while you eat it. I could tell with my first bite that there was only 1 type of cheese used (more then likely mozzarella) that was on its own a little bland as was the sauce that couldn't have been more then a generic can from Costco. The pepperonis were small (similar to what you'd find at the grocery store) and contained most of the slices flavor. I would recommend this place because of the warm & friendly service and the reasonable prices. However if you are looking for great pizza pie Seattle has much better options (try Serious Pie near Westlake Center).

Everything about this place was just OK. The pizza - OK, although next time I would try the 5-alarm pepperoni The service - OK, nothing great, but nothing terrible The ambiance - Eh, kinda grungy and not in a cool way The price - OK, thought it would be a little cheaper. It's $7 for 2 slices and a soda May or may not be back. Still looking for that great pizza place in Seattle...

We found this place before an Argosy cruise for a work thing. I wasn't sure about the food for the cruise, so we decided to eat something beforehand just in case. We happened to walk past this place on our way from parking. They had just opened. They clearly had a rough night as the boys inside were looking a bit rough. They made us a fresh pizza. It was really good. Very filling and it didn't have that frozen dough feeling to it. Would eat here again.

It was fun trying to find this place. You have to walk down some stairs from 1st Ave. It had a divey feel to this place. The pizza was okay. This is the only pizza place around the area. The employees are friendly. I probably won't be back because there's a closer pizza joint to where I work.

It is perfect at what it is supposed to be. Quick, inexpensive, delicious lunch place when you're feeling in the mood for a good slice of Za. The two gents that work here are some of the most polite people I have ever interacted with in any food establishment and it is consistently refreshing.

I absolutely loved the pizza I got from this place last year. I just heard it was under new management, read the other positive reviews and looked at the pictures on facebook so we decided to try it. We had pepperoni, mushroom and margarite. I was really disappointed, there was way too much sauce and hardly any cheese. Overall it was cardboard-like, and especially for the price I was expecting some decent pizza!

Post Alley Pizza appears to be under new management in the last month or so, and I've been by a couple of times since then, and I've had a couple of good experience. First, the new owner was super nice and conversational while I waited. And they were also happy to add peppers to my slice when I asked, which was nice. I'll definitely be giving this place a second a chance.

Great place for a quick bite if they aren't too busy. I only get a 30 minute lunch so this place has been convenient for me. Food quality was not the best, just wish the crust wasn't so thin. When I'd pick up the pizza front end would fold downward and toppings would fall off. There is one pizza they make that I absolutely LOVE. It's the pesto w/ ricotta or fetta. This place was the first place that introduced me to these cheeses and ever since then I've been in love with cheese, and am curious to try more. Next time I'll try a gyro or something.

Post Alley is in a pretty hard to find location if you're just walking around downtown or the waterfront, considering it's in Post Alley, and has no signs on main arterials. However, we've come across the place as I work close, and it's an OK fallback if you're in need of a pizza fix. The food here is pretty average, but for downtown, it's also pretty cheap. While the selection isn't greatly varied, with only a half dozen or so choices, and the pizza isn't always fresh, it does hit the grease spot if you need it to. The big detraction to this place though, is that it seems like nothing has been upgraded or replaced in decades, including the furnishings. Additionally, there must be a mandatory urine test where a POSITIVE pot result is required, as most of the staff seem to be always stoned off their rockers. Case in point: ask for a cookie, and half the time the guy at the counter will look around slowly, and give you an "uh... we have cookies?" Yes, Sherlock, the circular disks of baked dough. What'd you think they were, hamster frisbees? It also kind of gets in the way when they can't remember an order. Like one slice of 'roni and one slice of cheese. Sweet mother of ganja.

Stopped in almost by accident, I was feeling all hungry for some day-before-payday food on the go. I was originally going to go for the mexican place across the alley but thankfully they put a menu on the door and anything that I would want there was too pricey... Post Alley Pizza however had pricing that was just right! I got a slice of cheese and a coke- I think I paid at most like $3. Maybe $4 but I don't think so. The pizza wasn't amazing, it didn't change my world. However it was not intolerable greasy or lacking in flavor. The crust wasn't cardboard and the sauce wasn't laid on too thick. It was good. I'd eat here again, for sure. Ambience was chill, relaxed, and the music was a bonus. I dig it. Its worth stopping in, why not?

Dear Post Alley Pizza Workers, Smoking pot before coming to work at a pizza joint may seem like a harmless idea. However, for you it seems to lead to a line out the door 15 people deep. Forgetting each person's order and having to re-ask multiple times makes you seem like a big pothead; especially when there are only three things to choose from - Cheese, Pepperoni and Veggie. I know I threw you for a loop by asking for a salad, and asking to eat it here. Yes, here. As in not to-go. You put it in a box anyway, oh well. You did make a totally decent slice of Pep though, so I thank you. And I'll be back one of these days. Hopefully you'll wait until after work next time. Hungry customer

Went here for lunch today... One word comes to mind after receiving my slices: SIMPLE. I ordered two slices of pepperoni to go and ate it at work. I truly love the simplicity in this pizza. The ingredients are not complicated, no frills at all. I love all the components of the pizza...the thin crust (NY Style), tomato sauce, the thin layering of cheese and of course, the pepperoni, which encompasses most of the pizza. It's not as decadent as a pizza from Pagliacci's but sometimes the most simplest of pizza's is all you would need to satisfy your appetite. I haven't ordered any hero's or subs from here...all I know is the Pepperoni pizza. If you love a simply delicious pepperoni pizza, check this place out.

The Post Alley Pizza gang are good people. The food is consistent, affordable, and a damn sight better than chain pizza crap. I have it multiple times a week (I work across the street) and have never been disappointed. If you're there on a Friday you owe it to yourself to the the Coney Island pizza (complete with hotdogs and mustard). The staff are a kick in the ass, play good, honest punk rock, blues and whatever random bullshit they feel like. And I appreciate it. You can expect them to treat you like a person and not someone to get the hell out of the way once you hand over the cash. My only complaint? They close too early for me to grab dinner on second shift.

3 stars for the pizza. Nice thin crust without the sogginess of too much sauce. 2 stars for the fun and quirky folks working! Good sense of humor with cheery dispositions... and a hint of crazy. Just how I like them!

Stopped in there to grab a slice. Cold pizza heated up in the oven for about 2 min. They were closing I think even though it was 2pm or so. Pizza was not good, had a slice of cheese and it tasted like ketchup on a saltine. I won't go here again.

Nice room. Small. Got 4 slices through a homerun deal. The pizza was pretty good. Their prices are decent even without a special deal. Friendly people. Noticed one fly.

Odd yet friendly staff and amusingly dumpy atmosphere conspire with average to decent pizza to provide a genuine food experience. Posted hours are subject to whimsical staff needs.

The other day I got the strongest, strangest craving that I had to fulfill. I wanted a slice of cheese pizza, seriously when do I EVER want pizza, so strange I tell you. I sat at my desk thinking and deciding where to go than it hit me Post Alley pizza, I'd been there before and some co-workers like it so why not it wouldn't kill me right? I bundle up, fight the freezing weather and walk down to Seneca, than down the stairs to stand in line. Get this the person in front of me gets the last slice of cheese pizza. I think the nerve of them! I ask for a slice of chees anyway, they tell me it will be a while. I wait, it's what this girl wants and hello fresh out of the oven pizza is so much better than sitting around on the counter pizza so I'm OK with this. The cheese pizza if finally out of the oven I get my slice and head back to work. The box is keeping my hands warm, the cheesy goodness is making my nose happy, I'm rather excited for my piece of cheese pizza. I get back to my desk, open the box and take a bite...mmm yum mmm; this is some good stuff I tell you. I eat my slice minus the crust and get back to work. About an hour later I had the worst stomach ache ever and started turning green. No amount of Tums I took helped the situation, it wasn't pretty folks. So the moral of the story is if you eat at Post Alley Pizza an hour later you'll regret every single bite you took.

I work close to Post Alley, and I know some co-workers that are regulars here for lunch. I decided to give it a try and it was decent pizza. It was simple without any surprises. The price was right, and the staff was friendly. I will return if I need a slice.

Ignore any of the reviews you see about the owners being unpleasant. I went to Post Alley Pizza for the first time, tonight, and they were genuinely nice, and so appreciative I had come in. More than that, this is about the best pizza I have ever had. It reminds my wife and me of the pizza we got in NY 30 years ago. We have found our favorite pizza place in Seattle!! Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I didn't have a very good experience at this pizza joint. If the NY City attitude is what the employees are going for, I would definitely take a pass unless you have thick skin. The hours of the joint are a joke and they are listed as Mon-Wed 11 am - 4 pm and Thu-Fri 11 am - 6 pm but frequently they close earlier than posted... I arrived at 5pm on a Thursday and they wouldn't cook any more pizzas because they were closing... I definitely recommend calling ahead if you considering going there... Good luck to this pizza joint but honestly I will never ever step foot in the place and the service and hours are one of the main reasons...

Foodies know that the BEST food is always found off the beaten path. Tucked away on the corner of Post Alley and Seneca, Post Alley Pizza embodies this rule like no other can! This place is absolutely amazing!! As a connesuoer of all things pizza, I assure you that Post Alley Pizza will live up to this review the minute you walk in. Owner/operator, Shane, has spent most of his adult life perfecting the art of pizzeria concoctions, and he has reached the pinnacle of pizza pie. The Post Alley Special is the greatest pizza on the planet, nay, in the known universe! Post Alley Pizza uses only the freshest ingredients, purchased nearby at Pike Place Market, providing the vegetables less-traveled. Post Alley Pizza combines each ingredient in a masterful way to create a flavor orgasm in your mouth. Seriously, not one ingredient overpowers the others. The distinct taste of oregano, tomato, and garlic are all equally present in the sauce. Even more amazing? The sauce does not overpower the toppings! Each meat and vegetable vies for your attention in a free-for-all flavor extravaganza!! Not only is Post Alley Pizza amazing as an eat-in, by-the-slice joint, but try taking a whole pie home. Like really good homemade lasagna, a Post Alley Pizza pie is even better reheated the next day!! I personally guarantee that Post Alley Pizza will exceed your greatest expectations, that as only a customer, with no stake in the business, I will double your money back if you disagree with this review. A rare treat in today's corporate nonsense, Post Alley Pizza contributes to the growth of the local economy and puts people before profit. I refuse to eat pizza anywhere else in Seattle, because that would be a crime against my taste buds! Check 'em out, and tell your friends about them. This place is a Seattle favorite just waiting to become your favorite too!!

I'm the first to give this place 5 stars. Guess I'm a star slut, giving 'em out indiscriminately. But, my attempt at justification, I work in Pioneer Square and this is the best pizza-by-the-slice place I have found in the Pioneer/Downtown area, and I need a quality pizza option within walking distance. But don't think the pizza is undeserving of praise. It's great. Love the thin crust. Also, I've seen them making some mouth watering sandwiches, though I have yet to try one. And, they usually have some good/interesting music playing. Tends toward the punk end of the spectrum, but last visit I heard some great low-fi, back-porch blues. The seating area is small, so I wonder if it gets overwhelmed during normal lunch hours (I tend to go post-lunch-rush).

We here at work order from Post Alley Pizza quite often. They're perfect for the meeting that pops up *SURPRISE* You're going to have to stay late! Better order some pizza... Because they're so close, they deliver super quick. Plus, they've got great salads. We always order about $130 worth, so maybe they just treat us better because of that. I like their pizza, the sauce is yummy and it's great cold the next day. The people are cool and different, which shows that the management is cool and different as well. Most managers wouldn't hire delivery dudes with tattoos on their necks and hands. I like it, it reminds me that even though I'm stuck at work, there is a real, exciting world out there.

Addendum to below: I just ate more pizza here. I told the pizza baker that I loved the sausage/onion/jalapeno. He told me he would make it for me on Thursday. That kicks ass. Original review: This pizza joint rules. Thin crust. Not overly cheesy. Good ingredients. Funky-great cooks. Great sauce. I love the pep. Also, the sausage, onion, jalapeno was the shizzit. Much love. I eat it almost daily.

You can do better for pizza downtown. I guess I am just not into the re-heated pizza slices at lunch (Sunday morning hangover - fine, but workday lunch? I expected a bit fresher.). Sure, the staff seemed nice, but that doesn't make up for the pizza.

If your off shopping at Pikes Place, hop up one alley and you'll find Post Alley Market. Here you'll encounter all kinds of quick bites, one of which is this pizza joint. Grab a large slice of pizza and call it good, carry it with you and you can eat while you shop. Good stuff.

Best goddamn veggie pizza I ever had!! Take it by the slice or by the pie. Also the home of Seattle's own mail-in copy of Elvis' Tears and napkin art.

One of the top 3 pizza places in the city that I know of, and being from NY, finding good pizza is one of the things that I have devoted some time to. It is a shame that they aren't open later, though I do understand that most of thier business is office worker lunch rush. I live near by and would love to be able to drop in to pick up a pie every week or 2.
