Only had a few items from here: Cashew Chicken, Rama, and Pad Thai. The Cashew Chicken and Rama were nothing special but their Pad Thai is delicious. If you order it with 5 stars it will make your nose run. Thai places are a dime a dozen around here but I recommend this one.

Went here the other night on a date and was pleasantly surprised. Had the chicken satay and the chicken pad thai. I enjoyed both dishes and would really like to head back and try a few more. Next time I will make sure not to have a snack before going out.

Yummy, Krittika is my all time favorite Thai place. Since moving to CA I miss it so much! The combo is my favorite, my husband and I usually share it (spring roll, pad Thai, soup or salad, and one choice of entree). We order an extra soup on the side and it's enough food for both of us $22 including tip, you can't beat that!

I order the same 3 things whenever I eat here and I always get it to go, and for the past 4 years, they have never failed me. Krittika is my dirty little secret when ever my boyfriend is out-of-town--I so look forward to the extra spicy pad thai and tofu curry which will be all mine! ALL MINE!

This is a great family-owned establishment that rivals any of the food I have eaten in Thailand. The staff has been the same for years and is attentive & accommodating. I highly recommend the Tom Kah soup, Spicy Wide Noodle and any of the curry dishes. They've recently added Chang Beer to the menu so I can really feel like I am transported right back to the streets of Bangkok when I eat there. There is no cocktail list so if you're wanting to get your drink on after padding the belly, plan to head to Mona's or the Latona Pub next door.

Great food and unlike other Thai restaurants their spice scale is pretty right on - you want fire they'll give you fire. Nice waitstaff and relaxed atmosphere, although the paintings on the walls kinda weirded me out, felt like I was in Fantasia ( I dunno maybe thats a positive fore some people)

I love the green curry at this neighborhood joint--their version with pork is first rate. There is a snug ambiance here--classic Fiestaware dishes, napkins that remind me of the University of Washington's colors, quick and easy service. The food is always reliable and there never seems to be much of a wait. You can always order take out if you prefer.

This is one of the better Thai restaurants in Seattle IMO. It's also in a quiet neighborhood where you can always find parking without circling the block for an hour. And even though the restaurant is a little small, you rarely have to wait for a table. The food is good, solid, tasty, dependable Thai. I've tried many dishes on the menu (no duds, all delicious-), but my absolute favorite is the Panang Curry - a mouth-watering coconut veggie curry, sort of a mix of red and green curries over cabbage...mmm.

When I returned from thailand, I missed everything I had eaten. Then my friend showed me this place, which is unpretentious, incredibly delicious, and cheap like you wouldn't believe. I dont miss Thailand nearly as much anymore thanks to this gem!

My favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle. Been eating here for years and always great food, friendly service, reasonable prices and generous portion sizes. I've brought a number of friends here and they have become regulars as well.

This is by far the best Thai noodle house in Seattle. Attentive service and comfortable, simple ambiance. With the exception of Thailand of course, they make the best Pad Thai I have ever eaten. Try it vegetarian - the way they prepare tofu will kick your a$$. Wait staff and kitchen are always very sensitive about vegetarian preparation. My only criticism would be that they always appear be closed on the weekends.

After the fabulous reviews of this place I had to try it. Generally I hate phad thai in restaurants here, but this was the best phad thai this side of Bangkok. yum!!! Green curry is ok - not as great as I've had at other places. But the noodles will make this place a new stop on the takeout rotation.

  • T H.

Each trip here has been great. Friendly staff, great with making exceptions to a dish and they don't skip on spice. YOWZERS!

  • Kami F.

The only reason I gave them a 4 star is because I haven't actually dined in there, I've always gotten take out. The chicken pad thai is the best Seattle. It puts others to shame!!!

  • K. B.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I'm recognized by name when I walk through the door of Krittika. What can I say? I love the Pad Thai! I've had Pad Thai at various Thai restaurants around the city and Krittika's is by far my favorite. They have other good selections as well - the Pad See Aew and Spicy Fried Rice are other favorites, but mmmm that Pad Thai. I work in the neighborhood - unfortunately for my waistline, a little TOO close to Krittika - so it's often a lunch choice for me. The service is friendly and the portions definitely outweigh the prices. I highly recommend it!

  • Monica A.

Yes Please! I live about 3 minutes from this place and I have driven by so many times. I love me some noodles and I was happy to read the reviews for this place. Im only giving it four stars because ive only eaten there once, you never know. I do have to say their Curry Noodles got me all shook up. Something so simple is really the test behind a restaurant's talent. I sucked that shit up like a flowbee. I dont know if there is more stuff on the actual menu, but the takeout menu was somewhat small. I think anyone that is curious should definitely give this place a shot.

You say you want the best thai food? I've got a secret for you....my friend from Thailand goes to this place all the time. She says its just like home. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.

  • Rebecca M.

Avoid the citrus dishes and you'll be fine. Their pad thai is bright orange but delicious!

    (4)
  • Shawn F.

I love their Pad Thai! I comes out orange and tastes like no other I have ever had. The restaurant leaves something to be desired, but I would travel for the food.

  • Bria K.

We love this place. Their food is great, they have sticky rice (woot!) and they offer combo platters (since my husband and I don't agree on thai food choices). Great!

Great quality for a low price. We came in for dinner and our waitress was very nice and the service was fast.

Great Thai, especially for the price. 4 stars is spicy enough which is nice.

We have been at this restaurant twice the first time we were blown away the flavorful very authentic meals we got besides the server was very cute and attentive. Happy to have found a great spot to visit regularly we invited that following evening a couple of friends and our experience was absolutely different. (Sunday March 8, 2015 @ 7:00pm) Our Server was a different Lady that seemed to be in a BIG rush, she seemed nervous to be at our table taking our order and was really rushing. We ended up joking about being afraid of asking her anything else. The radna noodles okay, the pat thai noodles where good flavor and undercooked, and the garden chicken was okay, nothing memorable really. So sad, we got really excited about the first night. I really wish this place gets consistent on their quality food and service. We will give it another try....

    (3)
  • Paul J.

Two of the four of us were disappointed; my salad was not what I expected--guess I should have read the menu more carefully. I asked for 2.5 spicy level--the lowest in our party, and my dish was spicier than anyone else's dish-even the egg plant dish which was a 4.0. The tofu dish was unremarkable...the noodles are good. probably just a bad night-seems like a decent place.

  • Austin G.

My wife and I never get sick of Thai and we wanted a restaurant near Green Lake so we came here. It's Seattle, so we assumed they'd have amazing Thai food. We were wrong. I ordered green chicken curry and it was just average. Don't order the Thai iced tea. It's the worst I've ever had. Way too sweet and not good at all. We're still in Seattle visiting and we haven't had Thai since because of our bad experience here. Go to Thai Simple in Chinatown instead!

    (2)
  • Adrian L.

This place is the bomb. It's hard to screw up Thai food. Krittika is a very sweet lady and her food is like home cooking with a touch of aloha. People who gave 3 stars or less are entitled and stupid. Go home and cook it yourself, haolis... People are trying hard to make a living, they provide a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. Nuff said.

We've Loved for 15 years, and still eat their great food several times per month. Service is good for take out too. They remember you and give you extra treats sometimes.

  • Michelle J.

Pretty good food but horrible service. Two stars is being generous. The place was busy when we arrived but there was an open table and we were quickly seated and given menus and water. Took at least 10 minutes to place our order, even though our menus were closed and we were constantly trying to make eye contact with the wait staff who would just rush by and not acknowledge us. Very long wait for food and then husband's meal was delivered a good 15 minutes before mine. He ate while I just sat there. I noticed that other tables experienced the same service. Terrible restaurant etiquette. No excuse or apology given by the wait staff. Pretty much impossible to flag anyone down until it was time to pay the bill and then they took care of it right away. We typically have a lot of patience in restaurants but we chose Thai as it is usually a quick experience. Would not return and would not recommend to others unless you're ordering take-out but even then you should probably order well in advance as we saw those coming in for take-out waiting quite awhile as well.

  • Drew H.

We go here about twice a month for carry out. Great value and food. Always friendly and a nice ambiance inside. One thing I appreciate is that the vegetables are always prepared fresh. Broccoli and carrots are crisp and not overcooked. Definitely worth making your go to spot.

  • Royce L.

Solid Thai takeout. Got the pad Thai, chicken sate and veggie spring rolls. Pad Thai was tasty. Very flavorful, not dry. Not too greasy either like some places. Chicken sate was nice. Chicken was tender and juicy. Sauce was great and you get a few difference dipping options with it. Spring rolls were light and crispy, not heavy or wet even after walking 10 minutes to get home. Always super nice and super quick. Usually get my food within 10 minutes. Very reliable Thai food for when you need it on the go. Great for a group as well.

  • Tray Z.

I would never trust yelp ever again. First of all, the service was really slow n it wasn't even busy. (We were the only customer at that time) I was on starve mode n usually I would clean up my plate no matter how bad the food was, but I didn't. (That show how bad it was) We ordered Pad Thai n Bean Thread Noodles. Pad Thai was too sweet. Bean thread noodles soup was bland. 2 stars for friendly service. I would not go back there again.

Krittika Noodles was a fun find while exploring the neighborhood. The prices are great, and the pad thai was yummy. Service was friendly and fast. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my red curry.

  • Andy G.

everyone know there is a lot of competition for the best thai food this place usually does the trick but depends on whos cooking ive never had a bad meal out of here just it varies on the flavor some days its full of flavor, delicious and awesome but last night 1-13-15 was a weird one i got carry out and wanted something spicy so i ordered a 3 star drunken noodle and 3 star basil fried rice it wasn't at all spicy but more on the sweet side which is totally odd maybe a fluke ill still give it another shot

  • Tara S.

We love Thai food, and are so very happy to live a block from Krittika. The food is excellent. They make a mean fried rice, excellent green curry, and their spicy noodles are to die for. Their fresh rolls and tom ka are amazing too. Their pad Thai is probably the only dish I wouldn't recommend. But the kids like it. Service is a bit slow, and depending on who is helping you the language barrier can be tough. But we order out, or dine in from here at least once a week, and it's consistently good.

    (4)
  • Kamalpreet K.

I ordered red curry and the portions were huge! But it was very tasteless, definitely needed more salt and spice.

    (2)
  • Eric N.

Good, tasty Thai food that's (sort of long) walking distance to Green Lake. A small, dark ambiance with friendly service, the food itself is just not memorable. I've eaten the pad see ew twice, but there's not a whole lot of distinction between others. However, this is in a good location to other places so I wouldn't hesitate to eat here.

I walked up to the door and they appeared to be closed. The closed sign was up and the open sign was not lit up. However, their posted hours indicated that they should be open. I saw a woman sitting in a booth and opened the door. "Are you closed?", I asked. They said they were open and I went in. I saw the cook lying down on a cot in the back and dirty plates on the tables from customers who seemed to have left long ago. The waiter was nice, so that was a plus. I placed my order: crab delight and tofu pad Thai two stars. I went to the bathroom and there was no soap in the ladies room. The food came out and I immediately noticed it was very very greasy. The crab delight had very little flavor and the pad Thai was overly greasy, totally bland and had zero spice. It was not good at all. I will not be going back.

Hey. They made me like Thai food. They were pretty fast too. Other than that they just need some music. Thanks for reading.

I had lunch here with a friend today. We had fresh rolls to start out. The peanut sauce was some of the best I've ever had - not too sweet at all. We then shared a 'bathing rama' with noodles and a green curry with chicken and brown rice. The food was some of the best Thai food I've had in Seattle. We will definitely be returning.

    (5)
  • Jae Y.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants and probably the best in Seattle. I think the food tastes fantastic. But it's not the typical American-influenced style and the taste is much cleaner less greasy than typical Thai foods. The flavors and ingredients are very basic, reminiscent of home-cooking, and not over seasoned. Service is quick and prices are pretty cheap.

    (5)
  • Tara V.

Best Pad Thai I've had in years! Had it with fried tofu and extra side of peanut sauce. Very casual place-fair prices.

    (4)
  • Rinky N.

A very solid four stars The food here is very good but a notch away from excellent. They have many vegetarian options. The Rinky family and my brother's family had dinner here recently and we had a feast. Everyone left full and satisfied.

  • Chelsea N.

It's always a good sign when eating Thai food just makes you want to eat more Thai food. As I sit thinking about my dinner at Krittika last night, I thought, yeah...I could go for that again right now. Crab rangoon is always a gamble at Thai restaurants you've never been to, but Krittika's made me happy. Tasty dipping sauce plus extra crispy wonton rappers and tasty cream cheese/crab filling. The tofu phad thai was also good with just the right amount of spice for two stars. The noodles were slightly thinner than I prefer but it didn't make a huge difference. And cheap glasses of white wine! Add in a cozy atmosphere with a rad exotic fish tank and I'm sold. Looking forward to returning!

Execellent flavor. High levels of spice. A little bit on the greasy side but cheap and delicious.

This is the best Thai food restaurant that I have ever been to! The food is delicious with large quantities, and the service is great. The owner is often present and is really hospitable, remembering you as a returning, valued customer. When I come, I love to order the amazing Pad Thai, Pad See Aew, and/or the Tum Yum Goong soup. The peanut sauce served with the chicken satay is also a favorite as well as the Thai iced tea! I am from California, and I still manage to come here at least once every year! I highly recommend coming here to eat!

I was first introduced to Krittika by a colleague around 2006. The experience was good but I forgot about it and didn't return for a few years. I have always enjoyed the food and recommended it to other friends and colleagues. Thai Ocean what? Pff, that place has always been mediocre to me. I work in the Green Lake area and if I want Thai for lunch I would much rather walk the extra 3 minutes it takes to get to Krittika. The chicken Spicy Noodle is my favorite dish (5 stars please). Everything else I've had has always been fantastic, and I consider this one of my top Thai restaurants in Seattle. I'm only awarding the restaurant four stars in this review because on two occasions I was disappointed with the service upon arriving. The first time, I must have stood inside the front door a full 3 minutes before a girl talking on the phone at the counter noticed me. She was facing the other way, which explains why she didn't see me, but it's beyond me why she wasn't turning her head on occasion to check for new customers. So finally, I was seated and everything went well. The second time, I walked in and didn't see any employees about. Great, I think to myself, remembering the other experience. It again took a few minutes to get noticed and seated. With each visit, I've gotten an Andes mint or Doves chocolate with my bill. A nice little treat to help fight the impending afternoon sleepies.

Let me start by saying - the food was 4 stars. Fresh Ingredients, good portions, tender meat. Green Curry w/ Chicken was great! Lots of green eggplant & chicken was not dry. Rice does NOT come with curry (weird). Spicy Noodles w/ Beef pretty much tasted like Phad Kee Mao with lots of veggies & meat. Phad Thai w/ Pork was OK - a bit on the ketchupy side. The service however was AWFUL. Friendly, but just OMG bad, was our server new?? First, the place was freezing cold. I asked for some HOT tea but it came not even warm. The hot water from my faucet get hotter than this. Finally on the 3rd try, they were able to give me HOT tea. We ordered Spring rolls to start - the server confirmed "fried" we said yes and then she asked us Veggie or Pork. We ordered Pork. Out came FRESH rolls with Tofu. After the server tried to argue that the TOFU was indeed PORK (what???) and that Spring rolls are NOT Fried (then why are their spring rolls & fresh rolls on the menu?) she finally took the dish back. Our correct PORK SPRING rolls came out mid meal and were dry and tasteless. Ordered Thai Iced Coffee, she came back after some time to tell us they don't have any. Asked for Thai Chili in Fish Sauce, she came back to tell us they did not have any BUT came back again with the Thai Chili in Fish Sauce. Every question we asked during our order, she left to ask someone else and came back...A table of 3 only received 2 place settings & 2 waters. We ended up grabbing an extra set from the empty table near by. Ordered 2 sides of rice (1 Sticky & 1 Jasmine). No rice was served until we asked AFTER our food was served. She served us just Jasmine. You get the picture. Don't get me wrong, she was friendly through it all, but the experience was just frustrating. My recommendation is to order Take-Out.

My husband and I were in this area running some errands and stopped for a quick dinner. I don't know if we came on an especially bad night for them, but this was not a great experience. 1. The restaurant smells like pets. 2. The food had ingredients that were not cooked properly or chewed well so it was difficult getting through bites as to not hurt my throat when swallowing. They did OK with spice factor, but didn't evenly distribute the spice so one half of the plate was sort of spicy and then the other half was over the top spicy.

  • Philbert D.

Love love love this place! If you're looking for your hole in the wall, thai food fix - THIS IS IT! Been going here for years. Friendly service, excellent food, and laid back environment where you can walk in with jeans and a t-shirt and feel right at home. My top 5 dishes: Orange Beef. Cooked just the way i like it. Nice beef chunks with awesome orange and spice flavor. Chicken Pud Thai - the noodles and seasoning they use, it's like candy. I can't get enough. Thom Yum Seafood - oh snaps...jahhhh bomb. This is great for starters, especially after a cold day in Seattle.

Tasty food, friendly service, usually packed during meal time. What else is there to say??

    (4)
  • Adam W.

Run-of-the-mill Thai. Big portions (appetizer plus entree was way too much food), iffy wine. Kind of a weird interior. Cool lionfish in the fish tank.

  • Rosco S.

I've eaten at Kirttika a bunch of times, and it has always been consistent four star performance. I can't imagine anyone being super impressed by Krittika, but if you want quality Thai food with friendly service and a good price, Krittika is the way to go.

    (4)
  • Stacey H.

Okay. Thai food is basically like crack for me, so it's already awesome that Krittika's is just down the street from me. The food is delicious and fresh, and not too oily or sweet. If you're into healthy-ish Thai food, try the Yum salad - it has an amazing tangy lime/deliciousness dressing that I can't get enough of. And, Krittika doesn't skimp on sides - last time I asked for a side of peanut sauce and they didn't give one of those dinky salad dressing cups - they gave a giant container of sauce! I've also had the Bathing Rama as well (basically chicken with peanut sauce on top of spinach) and also been very impressed by their curries, especially the pumpkin curry. Atmosphere is cosy but nothing fancy.

  • Lisa E. L.

This is a noodle house located in between green lake and u district. My favorite dish here is the fried egg over rice. The mixture of sauces they use is very tasty. A little sweet, a little salty, and a little bit of the fish sauce scent. My second favorite is the Tom Kah soup. It's very sour with a bit of cream. A very good way to open up my appetite! Thai ice tea is good too!!

    (5)
  • Jamie P.

I don't get what everybody is saying about the food being so great, but I've only gotten tofu dishes. The mushroom tofu and salt and pepper tofu are okay. They tend to skimp on the to go portions. I paid $9 for a what ended up being a half cup of tofu dish on a bed a iceberg lettuce. Yuck. There are definitely better Thai places not too far away.

It's always really hard for me to review a well-reviewed restaurant... especially when I disagree with the majority. I had high expectations for this place because 1) I had been craving Thai food for several weeks, 2) my co-worker is a huge fan of this place and said it was great, 3) I was trying to impress my mom and aunty by taking them to a new joint and 4) the four star rating of Krittika. Well, I should NEVER have expectations and this goes for life in general too. Boooooo. Here's the deal, we ordered an order of spring rolls and we were a little confused when the order came because we didn't realize they were the fried kind. Darn it. And then our next issue was that the vegetables inside the fried wrapper was pretty cold and I think at one point, the bite I took was pretty icy... weird. Then our main dishes came, we ordered the vegetarian curry and beef pad see ew. Meh. There really wasn't much to write home about to be honest :( I love pad see ew and theirs wasn't quite as good as the ones I ate before... not sure what it was but I was a little thrown off because the fried egg didn't seem to be scrambled enough because some of the pieces were huge and it could've been more evenly spread out. Now I'm just going into way too specific details but it wasn't super delicious... just very average. The vegetarian curry was just OK. I felt like the curry was quite watery and I like my curry thick. *insert 'that's what she said' joke* But anyway... yeah so I'm afraid I won't be going back anytime soon. The place is also really confusing to find because there are multiple slanted street signs... I'm not familiar with this part of Green Lake at all. Unfortunately.

  • Trav K.

Krittika is one of my favorite places to grab Thai. Since it is only a few blocks from my house, I almost always get it take-out, so can't really comment on the 'dining experience per-se. However from what I have seen while waiting for the take-out, the staff appears to be extremely quick and responsive in this cozy little restaurant tucked on the corner of Latona and 65th. Being a creature of habit, I generally order the Chicken Pad Thai, but have tried other dishes and they have always been really good with huge portions, and the prices are extremely reasonable, if not a little less inexpensive than some other Thai establishments. If I have anything negative, it might be that the spiciness factor (they factor from 1-5) might be a bit inconsistent, but honestly isn't too big a deal and doesn't detract from the food or the service. If you are ever in the Green Lake area, make sure to stop by for lunch or dinner!

  • Alice R.

One of my favorite dine in or take out thai restaurants in the area, not only for the taste and quality, but also for the prices. We usually order the pad se ew, mee grob or curries. One of the dishes i really enjoy is their eggplant saute with either chicken or beef. Also, the level of spicy always seems to right on par with what I order. Their papaya salad is delicious! I haven't had a disappointing experience in the number of times I've eaten here. For those unlucky folks who don't live within walking or public transportation distance, parking is a bit tricky at different times of the day. At lunch, it's usually not a problem and you can find parking within a block. The restaurant is located in a residential area. Weekends and evenings can be a bit frustrating going round and round looking for parking, but the food well worth a stop.

A MUST! Everything we ordered was fabulous! I wish I could eat here once a week ..... Their Yellow curry - talk about a party in my mouth! Amazing :) The pad thai - wonderful as well. Friendly - great experience over- all!!! Next time I'm in seattle - I'll be making this my first stop!

  • Matt E.

We had the fresh rolls, pad thai and panang chicken - all were well prepared and clearly freshly made. The panang chicken was better than I have had in a while; the pad thai was good but less notable. The staff was polite, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. We will definitely be eating there again.

I've been wanting to try this place out since I moved into the neighborhood a couple of months ago, and I'm definitely glad I did! Great food, friendly waitstaff and a very cozy atmosphere. I had the spicy noodles and was not disappointed at their success in turning up the heat! We also had delicious spring rolls and the massaman curry was quite tasty as well. The service was very accommodating for my 3-year old nephew, bringing his order out first and supplying us with all of the appropriate kid-friendly supplies - a plastic cup, smaller cutlery, etc. They were very attentive but not over-bearing, checking up on us from time to time but not pushing us out the door when a certain tot was totally absorbed with looking out the window at the cars and busses driving past. Overall a good choice for a casual dinner that is delicious but won't break the bank. I also loved that the bill came with dove chocolates (with messages inside) instead of the typical fortune cookie. Nice touch.

  • Joe B.

Who cares how good the food is if the service is non-existent? After throwing the menus at us, the 'waitress' sat and gabbed to her friend. The place was practically empty. I don't know if we ever would have gotten served, but after much too long a time, we left. Maybe it's a good thing: the windows are filthy, not a good sign.

I love this place. My wife and I order food from here all the time. Service is pleasant and generally quick. When they have it, their mango sticky rice is really tasty. They make a great Pad Thai too!

This place was super yummy! The staff was very friendly, prices were good, lots of good beers, and a cute space. Would be great for a date! I had the pud ba mee and my hub had the spicy noodles. Both were super yummy! The go a little easy on the spice so I would over order on that if you really love it. I would definitely come back here-especially since you can pop over to Monas or Latona Pub for more drinks after!

The spicy noodles were good as was the wonton noodle soup (our son rated it a 5). Fresh spring rolls were good also. Good service and quick!

This is an average Americanized Thai restaurant. Very good service, and kind, talkative waiters. I would have liked the food to be spicier, but I enjoyed my tofu and salad dish, whatever it was called!

The location is really convenient if you've been hanging out at Green Lake and are craving Thai food. Thai Ocean is the only other Thai within walking distance and it's nowhere near as good. I love the atmosphere here, lots of cozy booths and lanterns. Our spicy noodles (their version of pad kee mao) was delicious with plenty of fresh veggies. The panang curry was too intense in curry flavor, more than at any other Thai restaurant I've been to. But our server was very kind in accommodating our request to have it toned down with more coconut milk.

3 star food, 1 star service/atmosphere (slow service, freezing room). I think this place is getting the Seattle "my neighborhood thai place/nail place/snooty coffeeshop is better than yours"-skewed mercy ratings by locals.

Man, this place just always pleases. I went with a bunch of family here tonight that had never been, and it was for a Birthday. A big risk because it was my idea and NOT my birthday, and some of the party doesn't even like thai! In true Krittika style it was a crowd pleaser! Our server was great and gave us three free ice creams! YUM!

Considering Seattle has a Thai place on every block, my standards for Thai are deservedly high. The food here has nothing that stands out and offers nothing original to set them apart from the sea of Thai in this city. The food isn't bad but it's over priced. I feel like run of the mill Thai food should be inexpensive and quick. Krittika is not. If you must go here, stick with the phad Thai. Do not order anything with seafood, as it's most definitely all frozen and not fresh.

We dropped by for a quick lunch while we were in town. Coming from the SF bay area, we found the Pad Tai to be much more oily than we are used to, with less vegetable and peanut garnish. I ordered 2 on the 1-5 scale of spiciness, and wasn't able to detect any heat. Fast service, and good waitstaff.

This has got to be the worst Thai restaurant in all of Seattle. (I'm sorry Krittika, I tried realllllly hard to like you.) I really wanted to like this place as it is in my 'hood and it looks cute from the outside. Nay! I've been here at least five times, and it has been really bad every time. I have to disagree with all the other posters and say the pad thai from here was the worst I've ever had. It looked like it was covered in ketchup and had no flavor. The third time I went here I gave up and ordered Tom Ka which is my backup Thai order, which wasn't awful. Tonight I came and ordered Tom Ka again and it was REALLY bad. The coconut milk had separated already (not enough cooking) and the chicken wasn't well cooked, it was still pink and slimy. Enough chances! The atmosphere looks cute from the outside but inside it is faintly grungy, you can see all the boxes in the kitchen from the entry and in the winter it is incredibly cold. There were no fewer than FOUR space heaters running tonight and I still had my coat on. That said, I have a friend who used to get their fried rice from here and she liked it, and my dining partner tonight said her curry did not suck. Spring rolls also do not suck but how hard is that? I went to Thailand last year and there are carts on the street with better food than Krittika. You can do better, especially in Seattle.

Their spring rolls are the best I've had at any Thai restaurant. I also got the Pad Thai 2 star, spiciness was great, it was a little bland in flavor so I added their sweet chili sauce and it was just what it needed. Pricing was okay, I thought it was a little bit higher for the quantity you got compared to other places.

We had really high hopes going into a Sunday evening dinner at Krittika. Having recently moved into the neighborhood we thought this might become one of our local faves as we both really love Thai food. Unfortunately, this is not to be the case; I'm still wondering how they've managed a Zagat rating. In a nutshell: The restaurant was cold, the food took a long time to come and was served in a strange order with our Pad Thai coming last after an entree that was completely misrepresented on the menu, and one that we ended up sending back. The Tom Ka Gai was good, but would be better with straw mushrooms, how truly authentic Tom Ka is meant to be served. It probably would have been fine with the mushrooms used, had they actually been in the soup long enough to soak up the flavor. As it is, it tasted as though they were added only minutes before being served, if that. The Pad Thai was good, but nothing close to what other rave reviews had led me to expect. The Satay was average. The entree sent back was the BBQ chicken, described in the menu as being dark meat. It came with only breast meat and had no flavor at all. The staff was courteous and attempted to move us to a warmer part of the restaurant. However, we were never asked if we wanted anything besides water to drink, and were surprised the only alcohol listed in the menu was beer. Can't speak to the desserts, we didn't stay long enough. Oh... and a quick tip: Use the restroom before you get there. The toilet paper was actually flapping in the wind from a steady overhead -- and very cold-- breeze in the non-heated and VERY cold women's restroom.

Curries are excellent. Phad thai is almost as good. We had green curry, red curry and beef phad thai. The service was good, but not great. Everyone was nice but they needed 1 more employee to keep on top of everything. The curries had the right amount of sweet and spice and had a fair amount of meat and vegetables. The phad thai did a great job of not being overly sweet or overly ketchup tasting. The final thing, the price was great. Under $10 for each dish and we all left food on our plate.

I just read a review that stated the Pad Thai looked like it was covered in ketchup and the meat was often undercooked...maybe they don't like you because I have NEVER had undercooked meat and describing the pad Thai as covered in ketchup is far from the truth. I have been going to Krittika for years. I live in the neighborhood. Frequent, happy and satisfied customer. Also, a big Thai food fan. The pad Thai here is great. If you couldn't taste the heat in 2 stars get 3 or 4 next time! I love this place. I recommend it for good food and good prices and cheap drinks...I like Changs :)

I was having a serious Tom Kha soup craving and Krittika did NOT disappoint. My boyfriend and I have been back several times since (within just a few weeks) and have loved everything we've experienced. The portions are very generous, the servers are super nice, and we often leave with left-overs to enjoy the next day--or, 2 hours later ;) The layout is a little strange, but it's all booth seating (my favorite) and they are roomy and private. If you're ever craving drunken noodles, Pad Thai or my favorite--Tom Kha soup--definitely stop by Krittika Noodles!

I ordered a simple take out order. After paying and walking out of the restaurant I noticed that the order was wrong. I returned to the restaurant only to have the coworkers argue with me that it WAS my order. They then bickered to each other behind the counter until they realized that it WAS NOT my order and that I had paid for and received another order. They then proceeded to charge me an additional $5 dollars to cover my original bill on top of the $2 I had originally tipped them. At no point during this exchange did they apologize or express any type of responsibility. We were originally told the food would take 10 minutes but it ended up being about 25 minutes. By the end they shoved the food into my hand and said "here you go" and walked away. As expected from this post, when we got home we noticed the order was still not correct. With all the amazing Thai restaurants in Seattle and Green Lake (Thai Ocean, Amazing Thai Cuisine) I would not recommend a restaurant with decent food at best who treat their customers as an inconvenience.

Krittika's is our go-to for takeout, and on Sunday we decided to try eating in the restaurant. I'll agree with others that the orange pad thai is a little strange. But it tasted pretty good (mine needed more spice). I love all of the curries (thick and spicy...mmmm....) and pad woon sen...and a few other dishes that I've ordered but don't know the name. I love that I can call and tell them what ingredients I'm in the mood for and get a great dish (eggplant, celery, prawns...3 stars...great). The service is a little slow, but good things come to those who wait! I also love that they have brown rice! Krittika's is a great neighborhood restaurant! I gladly drive around GreenLake to get there!

This is my favorite Thai place in all of Seattle. I lived across the street from it for years and have had a chance to try a lot of the menu. I love it because the owner Tony and his staff are very friendly and the quality of the food is better than most Thai places. They take a lot of pride in their food and you can tell. Oh, and the salmon....amazing! Ironically, I'm not a fan of the Pad Thai here, but step out of the box, it's worth it here! My favorite recommendations: -Goong Hom Pah (fried shrimp and cream cheese wantons) -Pad Khing (flavorful veggies and chicken, I could eat this every day!) -Bathing Rama (fantastic peanut sauce) -Choo Chee Salmon (creamy red curry salmon) Catch a either a nice cocktail with some live music 2 doors down at Mona's, or grab a micro-brew at the Latona Pub with the locals 3 doors down. If it's early in the day head across the street and check out the treasures at Ageing Fancies Antiques. This is a hidden gem of quality places!

Considering the varied opinions here on Krittika's Yelp entry, I didn't know what to expect from the place -- an aggregate of four stars isnt always a reliable indicator for my palate. Going in ready for anything, I was pleasantly surprised to find a really solid and enjoyable offering of chicken Phad Thai (at a good price no less). The noodles were well cooked, well spiced and the chicken was tasty -- too often the chicken in phad thai just tastes boiled, and this was not the case at Krittika. A feature of the dish I particularly enjoyed was that the four stars I ordered came solidly spicy, with good quality pepper -- not the dumping of red pepper shell pieces found in sub-par Phad Thai dishes. The peanut sauce side was a little thin for my liking, but went well with the noodles. Jasmine rice helped round out the meal and I left well-pleased! I've been to Thailand many times and am skeptical of those who would bandy around the word "authentic" too freely; while Krittika isn't exactly what I remember from Phad Thai in Bangkok, it's close enough. Four stars, I'll definitely return for the Phad Thai.

I live down the street, but hadn't tried this place because it lacks flare and pizazz on the outside. Come to find out, the inside is no different, and actually is bland, very much like the food!! The waitresses were nice, and I love that they bring a carafe of water to the table (even though it only fills up about 2.5 glasses of water). The menu has, like, 5 million choices, but only 5 appetizers. It took us no less than 10 minutes to figure out which dishes, out of the 5 million, we wanted to eat, and we were starving! We ended up deciding on orange beef and a veggie noodle dish (can't remember the name, I couldn't pronounce it either! :)). They had brown rice, which I appreciated. No chopsticks, we had to ask for them. The plating was very interesting.... a ton of garnish, and a pretty small serving of food. I was quite surprised. The orange beef was strangely, very strangely good. The beef seemed like it had been left out several months to crystallize and then disintegrate, because it was curiously crunchy on the outside and then melted once you bit into it. It was great, but left me wondering.... what the hell did they do to the beef?? Kind of uncomfortable.... The veggie noodle dish was borderline barfy. It was veggies and tofu with a sauce made of what seemed like corn starch, oil, and dirty dish water. No flavor, and it really bummed me out. The noodles turned out to be those dried rice noodles, which happened to be the best part of this dish, as long as they hadn't touched the nasty sauce. It was not good. We got each dish at 2 stars, which I usually order because I'm kind of a weenie and I find that most places are generous with their stars. But, I detected absolutely no heat in either dish, and I'm sensitive to it. :( I wanted, so badly, to like this. But, I'd much rather go up the street to 5 Palms Thai, or whatever it's called on 65th and Roosevelt.

I have a rotten cold, and my sweet boyfriend suggested some lovely, warm Thai soup. "Fine," I snapped because my head feels like a balloon filled with bad poetry and every episode of the Partridge Family - "But I don't want to GO anywhere." Then I cried because he was being so nice and I'm such a girl. Anyway, we snuck into Krittika around the corner for some soup and curry. Let me tell you, spicy means spicy around these parts. A 2 out of 5 was enough to feel the heat. Although I think Bai Pai has the better soup, this is closer and pretty darn good even without all my tastebuds. I'll be back, Little Thai Place! I'll be back.

I went in thinking I'd try something else besides my usual yellow curry/or pad thai, and saw the Lard Tofu on the menu, which sounded really yummy- deep fried tofu with cabbage, cilantro, onions, and carrots. When it came out, it was a tiny plate with a pile of raw cabbage on one side, and some minuscule crispy tofu slivers on the other. NOT good, and also NOT filling. It was $8.99 so I was expecting a meal, or at least a salad or soup to add to it, but nope- nothing but cabbage and won-ton wannabes. It's probably my fault for going off my usual choice, but still it was a pretty steep price for something so unsatisfying.

A-OK Thai food. I think Thai Ocean is better, and since Thai Ocean is much closer to our house, we'll stick with that. The food was definitely fine - good red curry, pad thai (suspiciously reddish, though - does that mean ketchup was included?), brown rice. But not worth going out of your way for.

Sometimes I read other reviews before posting my own, and then I just feel badly. As good as the food someone had in Thailand? Geez, where did you eat when you were there? I can list 10 better places than this in Seattle alone. I give this place 3 stars because it's just slightly better than those Thai places you see in strip malls. The decor is probably what steps it up for me. The food is of the style where the Phad Thai tastes like it has ketchup in it (WHY would someone do that?) and the noodle dishes aren't cooked on high enough heat, so they just look boiled when they end up on your plate. Totally average in every other way. Well, their menu is quite pretty- definitely some graphic designer involvement. I don't see the appeal; maybe it's better on one of those rainy winter nights than on a sunny summer evening. I say eat here if you can walk from your home, otherwise, don't bother.

Perfectly good Thai takeout in the Greenlake/Ravenna neighborhood. Often our default. Cheerful ambience, colorful but modest. And a Daily Special board which the teenage cashier (daughter of owner?) uses as a sounding board for movie preferences and cutesy aphorisms. Only catch here is that they don't deliver: I gotta schlep the 5 minutes up 65th to get there. But the food is good -- the veg spring rolls, panang curry, red curry, pad ke mao, and pad thai are all well-executed standards at standard prices ($7-9 entree). I usually order an extra entree to have as leftovers, and an extra rice portion to sop them up.

This place has gone from my favorite Thai spot to just another Thai food restaurant in the city of pho, Teriyaki and thai restaurants. I ordered chicken pad thai and panang curry. The pad thai was missing the usual garnish of shredded carrots & cabbage...that was my first warning that something wasn't right. It was almost like they added extra ketchup (or something) to try to salvage the flavor, sadly it didn't work. (The staff is all different too...new owner maybe?) The panang curry was watered down and had too many lime leaves for my taste. I will not be back. Now on the quest for some delicious Thai food...

I have yet to find Thai food on the east coast that rivals what I used to find in every neighborhood in Seattle, so I was super-psyched to go out for Thai on a recent trip back west. Krittika is better than every place I've eaten up and down the east coast, but its not the best in Seattle. The menu is large. Unfortunately they brought our appetizers at the same time they brought the entrees, and overall the servers were rather detached from the whole thing. The food was fine, but I guess there's some big deal about them having really hot food (they supposedly have a "true" star system for scoring heat levels), but everything we got was bland, even when we told them we wanted it hot. This is a great neighborhood place and I would probably go here all the time if I lived in walking distance, but I can't say you should drive from very far away to eat here.

I'm always pleased to find new Thai restaurants that can satisfy my frequent craving for red curry. Even better when I find one near my house. The red curry was perfect and loaded with bamboo shoots, just like I like it. I stole a bite of my friend's Pad Thai, and that was amazing as well. The salt/pepper shakers shaped like interlocking lovers also gave me a giggle.

This review is for take-out (don't take the review out, I took the food out!) My experience with Krittika wasn't a 4 star experience, but rather a solidly mediocre experience. Sorry, yelpers! I had the green curry (w/ tofu) and my girlfriend had ra na mee grob-Fried yellow noodles, topped with broccoli, carrots broccoli and tofu. My curry was flavorful, sweet and spicy (3 star), but I only got about half of what I get elsewhere, for the same price-what, were you running out, Krittika, trying to make it last, or are you feeling the pinch of the economy-eh, huh? The ra na mee was weird....crispy noodles that turned soggy when the 'sauce' was added (that tasted like it was a chicken stock base-in a veggie dish!) and a weird aftertaste. I usually give a restaurant several chances, but not krittika-with a barely average showing, and an abundance of good thai restaurants, why would I go back??

Droooool. Finally got around to trying this and I do believe this will be our go-to Thai joint. 4 dishes - 4 hits (Pad Thai, garden veggie, cashew chicken, ginger prawns). Oh, and 3 (out of 5) stars is spicy. They don't mess around. I'm curious to see if it's consistently spicy or not.

My BF had never had Tom Kha. I was like, "Wha?" We had to remedy that situation. Now, Krittika's remedies his ass almost twice a week. Seriously, he's almost OCD about it. When you say 5 stars, they mean bid-niss. Get ready to let a tear run down your cheek. 'Kay? 'Kay. :) K.

This review requires an asterisk. This is really only a review of the pad thai at Krittika. It is SO GOOD. This is the food dreams are made of... I usually get chicken 4 stars (sometimes I even go 5! What?!!). The flavors in this pad thai are so good though. It's a little sweet, a little spicy, and really, really tasty! And it will fill you up for under 10 bucks. What a steal! Right?!? This place is also great for take-out cause you can phone in your order, hop on I-5, get off at the Greenlake exit, grab your food, hop back on the freeway and chow down at home in no time flat! What could be better than that? Delivery?.. Touche, but still that's pretty good! Try it! You'll like it!

Food is fantastic and fresh! I LOVE Krittika restaurant. You won't never go wrong. :) If you wanna have a very good Phad Thai you can come here. Thai people also LOVE Phad Thai woon sen! or Vermicelli noodle Phad Thai. They don't have in the menu but They cooked it for me. I was so happy with a very nice service and friendly people in the restaurant. I LOVE YOU Krittika! I also love" Krittika's Noodles & Thurst Lounge". It's only 3 block from this restaurant. Feel free to ask me about both restaurant. !

I love small hole in the wall places... Krittika fits that bill. Like hole in the walls this place wasn't designed for large groups. Groups of 4 are ideal here. Unfortunately, the important part of a good hole in the wall, this place lacks. The food just wasn't very good. We ordered a phad see ew and panang curry. I really wanted to like Krittika, but it was just OK to me.

Just... incredible. Try the phad thai and especially the ORANGE CHICKEN. This place never fails to amaze. We go here at least once a month, and it's very consistent. Factoring in the fact that you only pay standard prices (~$7-10 per entree) for such magical food, this is my favorite restaurant, hands down.

I like this little place. They usually have great service and their food is also good. I'm always searching for a perfect Pad Thai and their Pad Thai is too sweet for me. But I like their bean cake soup, lemon chicken, tofu and eggplant (yum yum yum) and their appetizers are great also. Oh don't forget their Thai ice tea! I can drink that all day but I feel guilty to drink it knowing that milk is half & half.... but it's still yummy!

One of the better Thai restaurants in town, meaning it is just above average. It doesn't come close to Thai Tom but it far above most Seattle Thai restaurants. The Tom Ka soup is quite good, Pad Thai, better than most. Like many restaurants, this place is best avoided on Monday/Tuesday. This is our main take-out-Thai place.

Visited this place last weekend on a couple of occasions. Both times I had the phad prik khing gai - the first time, 3-star spicy and the second, 4-star...both very good and flavorful, but not as spicy as what I have had in Thailand. They heap vegetables on your plate and the meat is succulent and moist, not dry. Also had some of the curry which was also very nice and spicy. The staff was very helpful and courteous both times. I definitely will come back on my next visit to Seattle.

I have had nothing but amazing food every time I've been here. It's the kind of place where you order six dishes and eat two...run to the bathroom (so quaint and purple if you're a girl btw) and puke it up...eat two more...repeat...and then eat two more just so you can enjoy more than one or two measley dishes. I highly advise the jasmine rice, tofu fried rice, and the curry tofu soup thingy. I'm a vegetarian, so I cannot speak for the deliciousness of the meat items but I'm sure they're amazing as well. OOO I just had a great idea. Walk around Greenlake, and then head on over and eat a ton. You won't feel so guilty about all the food you'll eat (keep the menu at your table, after your first dish your taste buds will want to order more) since you just burned a few calories, right? Call me if you need rationalizations, I got them off the top of the dome 24/7. PS-they serve everything on brightly colored Fiestaware. I love it.

Krittika remains one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Seattle. I have never had a bad meal there. Their food tastes fresher than many other local Thai places; maybe they use better produce? They do not deliver, but when they are crowded you can phone in a take-out order, and it's usually pretty fast.

After eating some questionable curry at the thai place near our apartment, my boyfriend and I started to hunt for a tasty thai food restaurant in Seattle. We discovered Krittika December 2006 and we have returned to the restaurant on a regular basis since. Although the restaurant is a little on the small side, we have never had to wait for a table. Most of the time the service is prompt. We have tried several noodle dishes and curries (the curries are our favorite) and everything is delicious. We usually split one curry dish and bowl of rice and leave feeling full, so the portions are very reasonable. The price is also a plus and when splitting a dish with my boyfriend the bill is usually between $11.00 and $16.00, depending on if we purchase drinks. Krittika is a great neighborhood thai restaurant. I recommend you check it out if you are in the Green Lake area!
