Few miles outside of downtown this place produces some of the best pizzas I've had on the west cost, it's that good. The whole hog pizza comes highly recommended. Smoky, pulled pork, prosciutt + another pork product on top of a thin New York crust. Heavenly stuff. Local beer and wine on tap for under $5, and a large pie for around 9. One of my favorite eateries in Seattle. 5 stars.

Humble is a great descriptor for this place! You can tell sustainability is their thing. The place looks like it's made from a shipping container. The first thing I noticed was the chicken coup. Then the giant sunflowers lining the area. I'm sure they grow some of their own ingredients. Plenty of outdoor seating with very little covered seating. Not sure how this place takes it when it rains, but I assume most people go here for take out then. You can see them fire up the pizza right behind the register! We got the mushroom, egg, arugula, caramelized onions, truffle oil, and mozzarella and we added bacon. They were definitely generous with the amount of arugula. First time being here, I was really impressed with this pizza! Although they did forget to put the bacon on it the first time, they made us a second one for free. They also offered us a refund but we took the second pie. -1 star because they forgot to make it for us and we had to remind them. I think the quality was great and it was decent pricing so I would still come back and try other pies. It was also fun feeding the chickens or crust :)

I'm pretty sure I just found my new favorite pizza spot! The pie was delicious and I'm so happy that they have field roast as one of the vegetarian options. They actually have a ton of vegetarian options available and they're willing to make changes to the pizzas if you ask. Next I'm gonna tried the apple spiced walnut with beechers, because let's be honest, you can't go wrong with beechers! After reading yelp reviews and tips, I decided to place an order for take out. When I called and placed they were very nice on the phone and told me that the time would be 25 minutes. Once the time rolled around I headed a few blocks over to Humble and saw a pretty long line there. I asked a busser if there was another line for pickup and he said no. I sat in line waiting to pay for and pick up my pizza for about another 25 minutes. This was very frustrating to me, especially because they didn't seem to have one dedicated cashier. She was trying to stock up items and help with prep in between customers. This made the wait time pretty long. I know things can get pretty hectic back in a kitchen but someone should be designated to the register. The line is unappealing and my stomach wasn't very happy with the added wait time. Plainly put, I was hangry! If I do take-out I will call then head there to wait in line so I won't have the issue again. Besides that, I loved the pizza. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant as well. Next time I go, I will be eating in for the full experience. Also, they have a happy hour from 4-6 with $5 margherita pizza! Can't beat that.

Went here on a whim and recommendation of my two Spanish friends who were visiting for the week after a hike - amazing. Such a delightful surprise on the side of the road and a great addition to the neighborhood. We ordered some local beer and cider - so good to have these options available - to go with the pizza. The two pies we ordered eggplant and arugula/egg/prosciutto were delicious though took a very long time to get. Would come back - with the expectation of waiting for awhile to get the pies. The setting and design is also noteworthy. They did an incredible job with the space and location - the summer outdoors seating near the chicken coop and sunflowers blooming made it a memorable experience. Nearly perfect - except for the extraordinary wait for the pies.

I've tried coming here before but the line to order has been long, and the wait for pizza even longer... so I left. But last night, I called ahead and ordered a pizza so it was ready when I got there! I think that's the move for this place. The pizza itself was a standard margarita, and I enjoyed it! The crust was pretty good, a little chewy (which may have been the only negative of ordering ahead... It probably sat there a little longer), but the sauce was solid! I went on a Wednesday and the live music and half dollar bottles of wine made the atmosphere perfect. I'll definitely be coming back again on a Wednesday!

Delicious pizza! They grow some of their own ingredients, the pizza is not greasy at all! I loved the outdoor layout and those big benches! Even though the line to order was packed, they were quick to take care of everyone!

*CALL AHEAD TO PLACE YOUR ORDER!! I came here on a Friday night, and it was busy. The line to order was long, it took about an hour from the time I arrived to the time the Pizza came to me. I had ordered the Prosciutto and egg pizza, it was a good pizza, although I could have used more topping of prosciutto. I like that you can bring your own growler to fill.

I've never had a pizza I disliked, from here. We usually order to-go, but their space is great...and humble/simple. The chicken pizza is delish, and they have a way of getting their meat additions pretty crispy. They use organic when possible, and in this area, is the best pizza you can find. Sometimes they hold inconsistent hours, but it's not often enough to be a big deal. Everyone needs a break, sometimes.

Casual, such a great backyard dining out experience to share with friends. We had a half marguerite: half mushroom egg arugula pie. This was such a nice break from the pre-July 4th traffic, it was quiet, we got a table right away and no line at 7:15pm, although the dining area filled up quick with cool locals. The red fire oven behind the counter is quite a sight, overall a very cool local experience. Highly recommend!

We were shocked by our entirely too humble pie and the ridiculous lack of toppings. When we arrived to pick up, the woman working at the cash register announced that she had to close down for 5 minutes, while we were left to stand around watching our already boxed pizza sitting there getting cold. We nuked it when we got home. HP gets a big TWO THUMBS DOWN for really lousy food and crap service.

This place is a cool hidden gem that I recommend checking out solely for the atmosphere. I really dug the patio seating. The pizza left quite a bit to be desired. While the menu options look very impressive, the pizza itself was rather bland and lacking in seasoning. The sauce was really acidic and tart which did not help the toppings stand out. Based off of the amount of customers in attendance, I'm sure many people dig the flavor profile of the sauce. It's just not my cup of tea.

Humble Pie, and places like it, are needed in this part of the neighborhood. I love their outdoor seating area, lit up at night by the large white bulb string lights. And actually, there isn't any indoor seating to speak of; but there is a partially enclosed area to enjoy your pies and beers. We live a few minutes from here so we decided to take our reasonably priced pizzas to go. We had the mushroom, egg, truffle oil, onion, and arugula pizza, and the Margherita pizza: mozzarella, basil, and tomato sauce. Margherita is my favorite kind of pizza, and the mushroom pizza has some of my favorite ingredients--all in one place! So when I actually bit into each pizza, I was a wee bit disappointed. The crust was in between a thin and regular pizza crust and tasted like flour; it was very plain, without the crisp but chewy texture I was hoping for. The Margherita was lightly topped with ingredients and the tomato sauce was not flavorful. The mushroom pizza strangely didn't come together, even though I really wanted it to! The eggs come from their chickens right on the property ^_^ but there was only one egg...that's chopped into smithereens before being sprinkled into the center of the pizza only. I wish I had come during the summer; not for the pizza necessarily but to enjoy a pitcher on late summer evenings with friends and hang out with the chickens.

Pie so cute, makes you squeal!! Cute little spot- check! Super cool pizz oven - check! Outdoor seating area with chickens- check check! Pies humble enough to gorge on for days/ check check check!! This place has all the cute and coolness factors you can want from a pizza joint and then some. Not to mention their amazingly delicious pies! It's a total win. I wasn't sure how big the pizzas were online so I ordered two on the phone. I came in, squealed and waited a few minutes. They apologized for the wait since I called 15 minutes ahead but I didn't mind the wait. It was sunny and quite pleasant to sit out on the patio! And I got to watch my pizzas being cooked in their cool dome oven. All bubbly and stuff. And viola! * Prosciutto with arugula and egg - the egg was nice and crispy! I really love this even though I felt there were a tad too much arugula on it. * Pizza with potatoes! This was just a last minute add in because I wanted to try something different. Think margherita but with potatoes slices instead of mozzarella. Definitely different and tasty! They were also pretty darn big in size too. I could've just gotten one to share between two people. But with their prices being so affordable, I didn't mind. The egg on that prosciutto pizza was simply bomb! They have pretty extensive menu too. Looking forward to going back so I can try all of their tasty little humble pies! Yey!!! Thanks ,humble pie!

Nestled between the i~district and soul bucks lies this hipster pizza haven. Known for its simplicity and outdoor chicken coop, stay up to date with their many offerings of pizza toppings. Quite simply amazing. And I couldn't help think that the eggs on my pizza came from a local source. Crowd favorites include whole hog, sopressata, etc but they also have an incredible margarita pizza that shouldn't be overlooked. They've perfected the idea that fancy pizza doesn't have to come with fancy ambiance. That's not Seattle! This is definitely a local hangout so if you come here, come with no pretense. Instead, grab a beer, a slice of pizza, and think of names of the impressive chickens in their coop. A must try.

Maybe because I watched a little bit too much of The Walking Dead lately but the layout really creeped me out. I half expected some zombies to be popping out of the entrance. Perfect for Halloween. My friend and I tried to visit this place because I've heard so many great things about it. We tried both times and very successfully hit their hours of non-operations. Third time is the charm. Despite my overactive imagination, I think this would be a neat little hang out spot during summer nights. Service was super friendly and the pizza definitely makes me humble.

I didn't think it would be good. I thought it would be overpriced..I thought it would be dirty because of the proximity to rainier and the chickens.. Wrong, worng, worng...I think to much. The food here is delicious. The shipping containers make me envious and make me want to live in one. I loved the pizza and I loved being able to sit at the bar and just enjoy the cool breeze with my thin crust pizza. The sauce on the pizza is just right. The thin crust was baked perfectly..and best of all it is not overpriced and I was actually full walking away. The signs say they use the freshest ingredients and all organic non gmo goodness. I believe them. Ill be more than happy to frequent this place again.

Great spot tucked near Little Saigon. Nice outdoor space with picnic tables. We loved the sausage and pepper pizza, as well as the arugula salad, which is topped with creamy goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and pickled red onions. Everything was so fresh. The staff was really sweet and made a rush order for our son who woke up from his nap crabby and very hungry. They keep chickens on the property too, which is a fun attraction for kids.

I first thought this place was good. The wood fired crust was a fine example of the form and prices were reasonable. But the other day I stopped by and was going to order a pizza - I chose their Margherita and asked that mushrooms be added to which the counter person replied "Sorry, we don't do that." They have other pizzas that feature mushrooms but they won't make a customer the pie they ask for? I was willing to pay extra for the extra ingredient. WTF? I asked again and they refused to add an existing ingredient to an existing pie. I walked out. I will not patronize any business that won't accommodate a reasonable request like that.

Awesome outdoor spot! Don't let the chicken coop bug you- it's unique!! Pizza is amazing!!

Kind of pathetic. It used to be good but now the service is awful They just lost our order. Now we have to wait another 15 minutes. "The wind blew the ticket away." The girl apologized but wasn't very sincere and came across as super bitchy. Probably won't come back. Too bad I was a semi regular.

I love pizza. When my brother suggested we get pizza for lunch the other day, I said absolutely without hesitation. He took me to humble pie, and at first I didn't know what to make of the place. It looked more like a barn/farmhouse than a restaurant (for good reason- they grow most of their own ingredients!). When we walked up to the counter, however, I was pleasantly surprised with how easily accessible everything was (water, glasses, plates, napkins, sriracha, garbage/compost cans). And then came the pizza. We comfortably split the pulled pork option (DELICIOUS), and a pitcher of the Maritime Pale Ale. I will definitely be making more trips back here!

Love their creative kitchen and chicken cage and decor. Pizza is great value at happy hour and so is the beer. They probably need a bigger sign to advertise themselves better but won't have seen them without fb ad.

When I'm hesitant in the spectrum, I toss it into rounding up for hopefully good karma. :) 4 starry-eyed icons it is. When I first heard about HP, I knew I had to check it out: "Hm! A sweet concept of an idea just off Rainier Ave? Must.try.soon." FF a few months later and off Route 7 I hop. I'm gonna go from the inside in on this one: I really dig the naturalness of it. It's not a big enclosed space, trapped by drywall, stuffed with body heat or sensory overloaded with electronics. You have a well-crafted, spacious wooden shack with big entry. The smokiness trapped can be a lil bit much for some, though. Add gravel walking area with tables and partial covering, et voila! It's small, unique, woodsy, earthy and you can sit outside. And that chicken coop is great. **** NOTE: I'm not sure if these chickens only eat a certain diet; I saw several kids feeding them through the mesh fence. Is this ok?? **** Lots of great stuff to choose from but I finally chose the smoked eggplant. 'Dude up front was a natural blend of groovy, chill, sarcastic, cool & friendly. Even popped the suggestion I sample a beer on tap (I think both tap and bottles? IDK). Sweet, I'll try it. Closed out with the ever-more-swish Square pad cashier. How ya like my fin-gerrr signaturrrre? ;) I did my business at the far left bar seat inside. A busy day - someone always ordering when I was there. Finally, my food comes out and dig in. I enjoyed it but it could have more flavor. I even tasted one piece of the somewhat sparse eggplant and could tell a little bit; if only that level resonated more in the whole pie. Still, like I said, lol. Don't know if they have parmesan and/or chili shakers and/or S&P. Once I finished my pizza, I still had my beer left so I just walked around the yard a bit, even chilled on the ramp---which reminds me: you can easily just get drinks and chill in the yard, along railings, w/e. Just put your dishes in the bus bins once all done. *HANDICAP: The have a sweet wooden ramp with tension turnbuckle cables. It looks like a minor effort navigating the gravel incline to it, though, FYI. It's a great place I hope to discover more of. They also have beer, wine and I think cider, as well!

Great pizza, great drinks, and a spectacular setting to enjoy a Seattle summer day. Humble Pie is pretty amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know. They use really fresh ingredients and I'm always impressed by the concoctions they come up with.

I love this place! My favorite is the Whole Hog pizza! They make great wood fired pizza. It's mostly outdoor seating with limited covered seating though so it's best to come on a sunny day.

Humble indeed, as in, leaves much to be desired. The line was long and the menu is quite misleading. If you don't eat meat, don't bother, they'll either run out of toppings or serve you dry ass arugula on an unseasoned piece of dough and call it a mushroom and egg pizza. Seriously, as far as culinary taste, its the same old bland Seattle shit. The people in the kitchen were wearing booty shorts and tank tops which does not seem right for a kitchen with an active oven, but whatever, health codes, who needs them, right? The service was disgraceful and they ran out of napkins...at a place where people eat with our hands...I can't, this place was a disaster.

Humble Pie is really good thin crust wood fired pizza. The prices are very reasonable- you can get a whole margherita for $8! They only serve whole pies. Prices range from $8-14 for pizzas and they're decent sized. I think a pie would serve two hungry people. The guys working here are really nice. The setting is ok. They do a nice job with the set up of the restaurant but the location is not that great on the corner of Weller and Rainier. It's more of a grab and go spot for me. They have a chicken coop right by the outdoor seating area! That's pretty cool. Fresh eggs! I really like it and would recommend it to anyone! Lots of vegetarian as well as meat options.

We have lived up the street 5 years now and just decided to try humble pie today. Man we have been missing out. Super yummy. Very lightly seasoned refreshingly minimal sauce, toothsome perfectly foldable crust, balanced amounts of cheese and toppings not overpowering or excessive. If you like you pizza EXTREME (loaded with oregano and toppings) this may not be the place for you but for us it was just right.

Delicious and inventive pizza shack with an outdoor patio and chicken coop. You order at a window from the chalkboard menu with delicious pizza options such as potato and carmelized onion, Apple with spiced walnut, Beecher's flahship and mozzerrella and Field Roast veggie meat with fontina and Mama Lils peppers. There are plenty of meat lover options too, such as soppressata, pulled pork and prosciutto with egg. They use mostly organic local ingredients and cook the pizzas in a large wood fire brick oven in the back. Very casual place but VERY tasty and a fun, unique experience. I strongly recommend trying an egg on your pizza..they're as fresh as can be!

I love this place! The location is a bit random, but still very convenient with plenty of street parking right outside. The selection of pizzas all sounded so delicious but my friend and I went with the proscuitto, egg & arugula and the apple & bacon pizzas. There was plenty of outdoor seating and a few seats inside as well. It took about 40 minutes for our pizzas to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. The apple and bacon one was definitely my favorite of the two. I mean apple and beecher's is an amazing combination already, but the bacon on this pie was so crispy and flavorful I was just so happy each time I took a bite! I gotta say the arugula one was a little overpowered by the greens. I didn't really get to taste any proscuitto. Nonetheless, a great pizza. I'm very excited about this place; the music was good, the vibe was chill, I can definitely hang out here on a weekly basis. Will be back soon for the HH!

Tried Humble Pie finally after helping my friend move into a new apt nearby. It's a really cool looking spot, almost like a food truck that got stuck and decided to build some skeleton structure around it and stay! Most of the seating is outdoor so we squeezed into the small indoor patio area, which actually had a fun communal vibe to it. Ordered 2 very reasonably priced pizzas, and sipped on some beers while we waited. Of the two, the apple and bacon was better. Awesome contrast of sweet and smokey, melt in your mouth apple and nice quality applewood bacon, delish. The salami and black olive pie was good but not great, just nothing really stood out about it. Their crust tastes good out of the wood fire oven they use (in plain view of the seating which is cool), and their sauce is light and a little sweet, as pizza sauce should be! Great little find, still not on the same level as Cornudo in Greenwood but cheaper, and for sure worth a visit or 3.

Wow this is a lesbian heaven with an art for making pizza!! Plus it's just down the street from standard brewing "delicious" I had their pizza with shredded beef and it did not disappoint a bit! Check this place out for a chicken coup raccoon environment. They obviously don't kill trees and the shit must be organic as a apple tree in the rain forest because I felt like Jesus after eating there...

When we first arrived here, our first impression was that it looked like one big chicken coop. There actually IS a chicken coop on the premises near the dining benches, with live chickens, which, if you're dining with vegetarians, seems like a cynical picture. Anyways, we were here on a Monday for their happy hour special that included Margherita pizza. It's a decent sized pizza for small to moderate appetites, but those having bigger appetites might have to order one or two extra. Come here as soon as their happy hour begins and no later than 5pm to beat the rush; From the glimpse of their back kitchen, They only have one brick oven to cook up all the orders that come through so you'll be waiting awhile if it's rush hour. The Margherita pizzas I had was tasty; just the right amount of pizza sauce and cheese, and I love the thin crust which wasn't too crispy but soft. Overall, if you don't mind the chickens, the food is pretty tasty

My wife and I came with some friends on a pleasant Sunday evening. The sun was out, but it wasn't too hot outside, so it was perfect weather for an outdoor meal. The reason I mention the weather is because Humble Pie has primarily outdoor seating, so if it's rainy or cold, it might be a little trickier to eat there. There is a small part of it that is covered, and some of the tables have umbrellas (that don't cover the entire table), so that could be a deciding factor for some people. There's a stand you walk up to to order your drinks and pizzas. I got the Whole Hog Pizza, which included pulled pork, prosciutto, bacon, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. My wife ordered the Potato Pizza, which included caramelized onions, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. The Whole Hog Pizza was great - the pulled pork was smoky and flavorful, and I'm always a fan of prosciutto and bacon. The crust was well-made, and the tomato sauce and mozzarella rounded the pizza out nicely. The size of the pizza was enough for 1.5, maybe 2, people. My major issue was that the toppings were a little sparse. I could have used a little more hog on my pizza. The Potato Pizza was also enjoyable. The potatoes went well with the caramelized onions, and it seemed like they had some rosemary on it as well, which tied it all together. The potatoes were cut in large slices, so it pretty much covered the entire pizza. The other toppings, however, were still a bit sparse. Overall, the pizzas were delicious. For the price we paid, it was worth it, because of how large the pizzas were. One pizza can be shared by 2 people, or if you want a pizza per person, you'll definitely have some left over to take home. The layout and ambience of the place is neat. As I mentioned before, it's mostly outdoor seating, so it's perfect on a nice summer day. When it gets darker, they have strung out lights overhead, which provides a warm feel to the place. It's an unexpected gem in the ID, because there really isn't anything around it, making it a little tricky to find if you don't know what to look for. In spite of its surrounds, everything is clean, new, and it's a very pleasant place to eat on a nice day. Good pizza, too.

Loved it and told everyone I knew about it. But, a couple of months ago we went in and it took an hour and 10 minutes to get a pizza. Not because they were busy - a little - but because the girls working were carrying on sharing stories and laughing and drinking. Acted as though we didn't exist. I felt as though I had intruded on someone's gathering. One of them even brought her beer out with her to do something in the seating area while also talking to her boyfriend who showed up. When she later brought our pizza she mumbled something while turning away to continue with more important stuff - her boyfriend. Didn't go for awhile but when we did return weeks later we watched as our vegetarian pizza was made by someone who clearly could care less she was making a vegetarian pizza by the fact she alternated between handling meat and veggies while making two separate pizzas. Again, most people in the back seemed slightly intoxicated/having a get together. No napkins, no salad, no clean glasses, no worries. Oh well, the pizza is made well 80% of the time and we like the concept. If only they could get a handle on a bit of professionalism.

This pizza makes me feel good about myself. This is the only pizza I've ever eaten that doesn't make me feel like I'm shaving minutes off my life and increasing my risk for heart disease. This is a fully organic pizza joint with a terrible location, but you'll drive there anyway. The pizza is worth it. They have their own chicken coop, a rooftop garden for herb growing, and a really cool overall design that is inviting and even artistic (in a hipster sort of way). They serve the freshest pizza you'll ever eat. It's delicious in such a unique way. I've never had a pizza that melds organic with classic so well. I usually hate pizza like this because they go too hard on the healthy and it makes the pizza taste "meh". They don't have this problem. All their pizzas (even the weird salad-like pizzas with eggs on them) have a good, fresh taste that still maintains that classic pizza flavor. My absolute favorite is the Apple Bacon. It has Beecher's cheese (flagship I think, which is one of my all-time favorite cheeses) and the obvious apples and bacon. The apples are thinly sliced and the bacon is perfect. It's a sweet and savory combo I could eat all day. Beware though. Like I said, this food feels healthy, but I can almost guarantee it's not. It's still pizza after all. It's easy to trick yourself into eating more slices than you should because of this. I've actually eaten an entire apple bacon pizza to myself once and thoroughly regretted that decision afterwards (Side note: Their pizzas are much thinner and less meatier than most pizzas.). Anyway, if you are looking for really good, organic pizza, this is the only place you should even consider.

4.5 stars, rounds up to 5, besides it's the holidays and I'm feeling generous. For months I've been watching the pizza oven at work and noticed the garden and chicken coops as I whizzed by on bus or by car. It was always an intriguing topic with my bus mates. Later we saw the sign go up and I definitely wanted to know what this place was about. It's a compact spot off Rainier. You walk right into a black board menu with their pizza offerings. They also have an arugula salad and some beer, wine, and cider for alcohol, as well as non-alcoholic drinks. There is seating for about 20, no tables inside, just counter space. The outside has picnic benches with umbrellas, and I'm sure it's the place to be when the weather allows it. They offer 10 varieties of pizza, and all look like they're worth sampling. First off we came on Saturday night, at 8...and it's Happy Hour from 8-9! YAY! The happy hour is for the $3 pints and $11 pitchers and $5 Margherita pizza. If I recall, there were 4 rotating taps, and we chose a pitcher of the Fremont ale. We were famished so we each ordered a pie. We sat at the counter space by the window, and it was sooo cool watching them make the pizza from scratch. I had the Whole Hog, which had prosciutto, bacon, and pulled pork; my husband had the Prosciutto, egg and arugula. And we were quiet from the moment the pizzas were brought out. I have to say we enjoyed both pizzas, but seriously, the prosciutto, egg and arugula pizza was sooo damn good! Biting into the pizza where the egg yolk melted in your mouth was so heavenly. I don't know who was the first to put a fried egg on pizza, but they deserve a Noble Peace Prize. This spot is a definite must for pie-lovers!!!

Yeah, I can get down with humble pie. The varieties are sure to satisfy every member of your group, and despite the fact the outside seating was full and there was a bit of a line.. the food still came out quickly! There are communal tables, and usually everyone is friendly enough to share. The pizza dough was really good. Not too spongy and not too crackery.. juuuuuuust riiiiiight. The toppings are *good* but the pizza didn't blow me out of the water. It's good. Very good. I'd go back again, I'd go back many times. I don't even know if there's some sort of sensationalist hype behind this place or what but it is absolutely worth a visit. Do you like how there are contradictions all over this review? It's sort of a hipster place, if "hipsters" even exist anymore. There's just a few beers on tap too, and you can get pitchers. Take advantage out the outdoor seating when the weather is the bomb.

Well, I thought hubs and I knew all the best pizza joints in Seattle. I was wrong!! What's funny is that we almost turned around and got back into the car as we walked up from Rainier Ave, because from that angle it looks like a tiny shack. So glad we stuck it out though! I would definitely come here in warmer, dry weather if you can, as there are only about 10 bar-style seats inside, very close together. There were just 2 other young couples eating inside on this overcast March day when we came, so it felt kind of cozy and communal. The menu is limited. Pizzas only come in one size - 14", and there can't be more than about 10 options. If you aren't drinkers (like we aren't), you will be drinking Mexican Coke or San Pelligrino. Those are the only options. No dessert options. I have a major sweet tooth, so that left me a bit of a sad panda. Service was fine but nothing to write home about. The compost can for customers to use was overflowing with plates and utensils, but the two gals were yakking in the back for 10 minutes while we were eating. Would have been nice if they had emptied it so we didn't have to play Jenga with our plates in order to dispose of them properly. She was friendly enough when she took our order though. Minor stuff. But the saving grace of this place - the pizza!! Bomb DIGGITY. It is Neapolitan style, i.e. thin and a bit on the lighter side, so if you're used to deep-dish-loaded-with-grease-and-salt pizzas, you will likely be disappointed. But we absolutely love Neapolitan style, so we were very happy! Shared a Margherita, which at 8 bucks was a steal. And we couldn't finish it between the two of us even though we were both hungry! It was huge! I giggled like a little kid when I visited the hens in the chicken coop, and gave them my best buk-buk-buk's. Absolutely charming to see that in an urban environment. All that was missing for me was more non-alcoholic beverage and dessert options, and better indoor seating. They should also brush the crust with olive oil after the pies come out of the oven - I don't know why every Neapolitan pizza place doesn't do that, it's the icing on the pizza cake. We're new fans, and we'll be back!!

When the GPS said we had arrived I had to crane my neck to look where a pizza restaurant might be hiding itself among the aged or disused storefronts on either side of Rainier Ave. It emerges suddenly into view from a side street where you thankfully see plenty of parking (at least today on a Saturday afternoon) which in Seattle is a lot like seeing water in the desert. We didn't need to find their lot because there was street parking right in front. Staff is friendly but not overly talkative. Atmosphere is as close to farmyard as I thought a pizzeria could be with mainly outdoor only picnic table seating on gravel covered dirt and a coop full of chickens to keep you company. Water is self serve out of a Coleman style cooler which enhances the effect You can parade up the wooden stairs or roll up the winding ramp to the counter to place your order. There's some bar stool seating inside (probably for those rainy days - we wondered how this place fares when the summer weather leaves town). They feature a relatively small menu without a wide variety of drinks. My partner had to go with water because they don't offer iced tea, for example. Most of the pies are around $10 so we wondered by the price if we needed to order two for the both of us. We played it conservative and ordered a single Potato pizza with a Rainier tall boy for only $14. They bake the pies very quickly in that big wood fired oven in the back and they come out piping hot on aluminum rounds. The crusts are very thin but not quite cracker-like either with nice chewy crusts. They layer a perfect amount of tomato sauce and cheese on a surprisingly large pie for the price, but go very light on caramelized onion and rather thick slices of potato. Still, it's tough to beat the potato pizza from Mioposto. I set my standard at very thin slices of potato crisped on the edges and the crust from the pizzas at Pizzeria Credo has yet to be toppled from the #1 slot. I crave a Credo pizza or a potato pizza from Mioposto in my spare time, but I don't think I will do so about tonight's dinner. Too many of the components were too "okay" to out-weight the ones that were very good. One element that puzzled us were the offering of plastic forks alongside the napkins and paper plates. They're not quite durable -or sharp- enough to cut through the crust, so you end up discarding it and just tackling the food with your hands. Kind of a waste. We'll probably try it again, but probably only when we want to try something we haven't had in a while.

Humble pie has a very tasty thin crust pizza - tried the pulled pork and caramelized red onions - it was delectably crispy and savory. The outdoor patio in the back is like your own backyard complete with chicken pen.... And on a good day you can see Mt Rainier. The staff seems slightly overwhelmed at times due to volume of orders so there is a slightly longer wait - but it's worth it!

I seriously considered being selfish and not reviewing this place. I want this place to be entirely mine and not have crazy Qs come between me and my humble pie. But then that wouldn't be fair to the Humble Pie team. I have tried the mushroom, pulled pork and sausage pizza. The sausage pizza is hands down the best ever! I think humble pie can give serious pie a run for it's money. The establishment is small and cozy. There are some benches outside - that will surely be getting filled during summer months. They have a great happy hour with $5 margherita pies. Wish they had low-calorie drink options. Service is very good and everyone is super friendly. 4.5 stars, rounds up to 5. Half star only off since the toppings feel a bit less and not every bite is meaty.

Our first time visiting. Seems like it's in the middle of nowhere. We wanted to order the Apple, walnut pizza since we've heard good things about it. But they were out of Apples! The pizzas we had were the Margherita and chicken lime pizzas. Price for pies are reasonable. They had water but NO ICE! warm water on a very hot day sucked! So I gave in and bought a soda which I thought would have at least been cold, but it was not refrigerated $2 for a can of San Pellegrino was ridiculous!!! They didn't have any other sodas other than 3 types of San Pellegrino and Mexican Coke all $2/each. We had to wait 20 minutes for a spot to open up so we could sit. There's seating next to where you order your food but the way it was built, it was like a greenhouse so it wasn't very comfortable sitting there. They were also out plates! But they had bowls. The staff was great, and the pizza was good although there was a lot of flour on the bottom of both. The chicken lime pizza was excellent! The Margherita pizza was very plain and could have used more cheese. Would defiantly go back for the pies but only if I were in the area. Cool feature was that they had chickens kind of cool for the kids. They need to add more tables somehow.

Easily the best Pie in Seattle. Sorry Tom Douglas. Field Roast with Mama Lils was my fave. Very lovely to be here on a Spring day!

I was so pumped to try this place after all the amazing reviews! But I'm sorry to report that Humble Pie is way over-hyped. We tried the potato pizza and the apple pizza (such a great idea!). The potato pizza was bland as can be. I would not order this again. The apple pizza was much better, but to me, I pretty much just tasted bacon. The apples themselves got completely lost (bummer). But my biggest problem with Humble Pie was not the pizza toppings but the crust. It was kind of a thin crust, very soft, and super bland. The next day when we tried to reheat our leftovers, it was just awful. The space itself is pretty minimalist but unique. They even have chicken coops in the back! Seems like it would be a fun place to hang out in the summer. Good beer selection as well (you can get growlers to-go). I might be back, but with so many other great pizza places around, we'll have to see...

Humble pie ought to brag a little more. First, their pizza is brag-worthy. Their wood fire is not quite as hot as other "wood-fired" pizzas I've enjoyed (like Elemental, Serious Pie, The Rock) but the pizzas are consistently cooked and the crust has a nice amount of pillowy chew. The ingredients are a little sparse, but make up for it in flavor and freshness. Smoked Eggplant and Whole Hog were both very tasty. Second, they have created a perfect amalgam of everything pinterest, which I consider quite a feat. Whoever thought putting tall boys of Rainier, strings of mini light bulbs, and a chicken coop all on the side of Rainier Avenue was a good idea clearly knows their target clientele. (FYI Humble Pie, pinners are really into mason jars, too). Enough sass. I really enjoyed my pizza.

Good pies. Really really good pies. Prosciutto Arugula and Mushroom Arugula - both good. Eggplant pie. - even better. The pulled pork with beechers cheese was hands down the best pie I've had in forever. Our family has wed pizza nites so I've had a ton of pies - this place is top notch. 1/2 price vino on Wed's too! I'm a fan - It kinda sucks when it's raining as there is not very much indoor seating - but it would totally be cool in the summer time. The dudes running the joint are cool as well. Humble Pie ur definitely on my pizza nite list!

I wasn't prepared to like this place so much - thin crust, wood fire oven pizzas are not typically my favorite, and there is already a glut of them in this town. But I really like this place. I've had at least 3 of their pizzas now, all of which have been delicious. They have good beers on tap - a perfect way to pass the time while waiting for that take-out pizza. And then there is the convenient proximity to my house, which means I now have a go-to place when that inevitable pizza craving hits.

I've been a couple times now. The place is indeed 'humble,' so I think the name says it all! Nothing about the place/food/service is really remarkable, but it's just fine. The pies are good, light enough for lunch (one pie is easily split between two at lunchtime), and when the weather is sunny, it's a great place to grab a bite. I work down the street and really appreciate this addition to the area. (I also hate that some reviewers have talked about how 'gross' Rainier Ave is. Why are you coming here to eat if you find it so offensive? Please, stay in your high rises and chain coffee shops if you're so easily put off. But I digress...) It's unique, consistent, well-priced, and yes, humble. Don't drive far to visit, but certainly drop in if you're nearby.

It's rare to find a restaurant that is a living embodiment of its name but humble pie has done it with signs of ease. I've driven past this place multiple times a week completely unaware that it was a restaurant at all until my girlfriend sent me a picture of one of their pizzas. Immediately, I knew I had to try one of these pizzas covered copiously by arugula and curiously crumbled fried eggs. Walking into humble pie is a treat all by itself. As you pass by the farmyard fencing the sprawling city slowly fades out around and you start feel like you can hear the clucking of chickens...oh wait... There are actually chickens! After walking up some stairs into what appears to be a very large chicken coop. On the wall there is a list of many pizzas with organic or WA local ingredients! After spending some time trying to pick out what to eat my girlfriend and I decided to buy two pizzas and grab a pint of beer. The cooking process is a feast to the eyes and extremely fast. We couldn't finish our beers before our pizza was done. So the employee asked if we would like to place our pizza in the "hot box" since we asked for it to go, We very happily agree and finished our beers. We got home and dug into the delicious pizzas. We had bought prosciutto egg and mushroom egg.... Mushroom egg pizza! Mushroom egg pizza! Mushroom egg pizzzzzza! Get it, eat it, love it. I'll be going back to try many more types and I can't wait for the summer to have a drink in their beer garden next to the chickens!

Delicious & love that they do local and organic when possible. Cool local neighborhood spot with fun little deck as well.

I did love the pizza crust, it was outstanding. We were left standing for about 25 minutes waiting for our pizza. Be warned. The disappointment came with the lack of bacon on the apple bacon pizza. If you collected the teeny bits of bacon, they would yield less than one third of a strip of bacon, and I am being generous by choosing a third rather than a fourth. I can't justify the $13 cost for this. Humble Apple and Bacon Pizza. Not to be confused with applewood bacon.

No frills but delicious all the same. Feed your inner hippie here. Their Margherita is worth a try as well as the Apple Spiced Walnuts. It may not seem like much but there is nothing humble about the taste.

As we wait 45 minutes for two pizzas it is very discouraging to see 4 kids in front of us get freebies pizza and beer in about 5 minutes.

This place is great! I may be slightly biased since I work up the street, but that just makes it convenient in addition to being great. I absolutely love the unique combos on the pizzas, and even though I haven't been able to work through the entire menu (yet) I'm convinced that the Whole Hog is the only pizza for me. A pizza with pulled pork, prosciutto, and bacon is this Italian-Hawaiian American girl's dream come true. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, and this is fast becoming one of my favorite places to stop by after work. I always recommend it to everyone I know that passes through this part of town, and now I'm recommending it to anyone who reads this review. Go get some pizza!

  • Dub N.

They have some uncomfortable dusty benches next to chicken shit and you can sit down in the blazing heat with no shade. Terrible location. It's about $15 for a medium size pizza.....menu has like 5 choices.....it's pizza folks.... there ain't 5-star anything going on over here.

Great happy hour! You can get a margherita pizza and two beers for $12. Outdoor seating is nice. Pizza came less than 5 minutes after it was ordered. Service was friendly and energetic. So far I would say this is the best pizza I have had in Seattle. Great thin crust. I need to try more of their menu in the near future.

I can't tell you how amazing this place is... and for sooo many reasons! their pizza's are huge! I mean, like... 14", for about $12 bucks, depending on the toppings obviously but still! super cheap compared to other Seattle pizza joints. my favorite was the truffle oil with mushrooms and an egg on top. DELISH. they got a neat little chicken coop, look out for the obese brown one! ^_^ they also have happy hour from 8-9 -- $5 magherita pizza, $11 pitcher of beer. the ONLY downfall is that it's all outdoor seating... not really a downfall now that summer is right around the corner though, if anything it's a plus! so never mind. :) I'll definitely be back for more this summer.

So good. And they're so nice. Excellent, thin crust, wood fired pizza. Eat in or order ahead to go. And local beer! Did I mention how reasonable their prices are, too? And you know that I am down with their philosophy: "People, Planet, Pizza. We are committed to bringing sustainability into the core of what we do. The approach of the 'triple bottom line' that balances community benefit and environmental sustainability with profit, lies at the heart of Humble Pie's creation. These values are reflected in every aspect of the restaurant's physical design and daily operation, from our recycled building materials, to our minimal waste policy, to our locally-sourced organic ingredients."

  • Bridget N.

Awesome pizza. Great atmosphere. Fresh and tasty local ingredients. Recommend coming on the not so busy nights.... When it's busy, and they are cooking lots of pies, the stone in the oven can't stay hot enough leaving you will brown or burnt crust and a soft soggy white bottom. :(

We came here on a Friday night and the place was popping! I can't remember what pizza we ordered, but it took over 30 minutes to get it... I understand, it was a busy night, but I think 30 minutes is a long time to wait for a meal that you order at the counter. While the pizza was pretty good, the toppings were sparse, and there's just other tastier pizza places that you can go to without the wait. Staff was very friendly.

After moving to Mt Baker neighborhood, and learning that Pagliacci's doesn't deliver, we had to go out and explore. We found Humble Pie last night, and just love this little pizzeria!! Will definitely make this a new regular spot for us! Ok, we only have ordered here once, but the pizzas were tastyyyy!! The pizzas are wood fired, decent sized and have incredibly creative ingredients. There are quite a few vegetarian options (LOVE!), and they even have a veggie sausage pizza, which is to die for. The husband told me it's cute inside, albeit a make-shift joint, complete with chicken coop and outdoor seating. Could be a fun spot to visit on nice weather days. Definitely will give an update later, I'm sure we'll be back soon enough.

parking is a pain in the butt.. they do have a few spots in the back if you're lucky their pizza is pretty good.. i had the whole pig pizza and the crust could have been slightly thicker and chewier.. it was almost cracker like.. i'll come back and try their happy hour some time

Wow! Amazing Pizza without the fluff of mall-polished siblings in its category (Serious Pie, Elemental), just straight pizza, beer, and vino. The treehugger appeal comes across real and lived. The pragmatism throughout underlines its focus on great food and nothing else: Reclaimed shipping container (à la Freitag tower in Zürich), Sharpie to mark the brown box with what's inside. Loved it!

Horrible customer service & topping combinations, Interesting structure. I was waiting to order and I was on my phone reading off the different pizzas available to my coworker who is splitting it. the worker rushed past me and was rushing around like he was in a hurry. so I waited politely, he rushed arround past me twice and then he took a phone call, then made a pizza and walked passed twice mor. I asked um are you waiting for me to get off the phone? I was looking to see if there was a no cell phone sign I dont see one, I was going to leave. thinking you just didnt want to serve me. he said yes actually thats exactly what I was waiting for. I responded. That if that's your preference you should really have a sign to that affect. He said well its the preference of every retail store. & he will tell the owner to get a sign. He had such a entitled attitude. Who interacts like this, I certainly wouldn't expect it from a new business trying to get and keep customers. I was shocked I will never come back again ever and I will discourage this establishment to anybody looking for lunch of pizza. P.S there is a way better pizza place called Old World Pizza that's just a couple streets over, family owned great topping combinations there is indoor seating and parmasian cheese andmuch much more without the attitude.

Great little out of way freaky cool wood fired pizza place with wooden tables. dust, gravel for walking on and live chickens to watch (they are a hoot) while you down a very respectable pie. don't expect fancy, and you won't be disappointed. Plus they are dog friendly....brought fresh water out for our pooch. will be back on our next visit to Seattle.

Great pizza at a really good price, a handful of good beers on tap all of the time. My only reservation is that they don't have a lot of seating and it's heated by some heat lamps, making it a little chilly in the winter. I think that's part of the charm though.

  • Laura F.

This place has delicious pizza made from fresh ingredients and interesting combinations. The entire setup is appropriate for its sustainable vibe and recyclable utensils. Fresh air abounds (there is a roof in case of rain) and the pizza oven provides sufficient heat for colder days. Great value for any who like delicious pizza and/or sustainable meals (green roof with herbs and chicken coop on site).

I absolutely adore the sustainability of the environment. Everything was cleverly thought out in terms is the environment. Oh and I crave the mushroom, caramelized onion, soft egg and arugula pizza erday. So fresh and I feel like I could say i consider it a healthy pizza bc there's basically grass trimmings on top. So good. The only thing I would say is there is a lot of crust and I wish they would cover more of the crust with toppings/fillings.

We finally made it to Humble Pie during their opening weekend. The space is well laid out and there's even a chicken coop. They had plenty of patio space but I can see how they will need more tables as the crowds get larger. This might also be a good space for some live music. We ordered the Pulled Pork and Beecher's Cheese with pickled onions. Excellent! The pulled pork was juicy and cheese (of course) awesome. The taste is so fresh and I really like how the pizza was not circle shaped. It was light and not too doughy. Perfectly fire cooked. I love this place and will definitely tell all my friends. It's so good to have a fab fire pizza place in the CD/ID. Honestly, I think this place is better than Veraci in Ballard which has been our go-to wood fired pizza place for a while now. We are going to Humble Pie now.

Great pizza! Looking for good pizza in Seattle is tough. This place fits the bill. The ambiance is aptly humble with a small eating space but a great outside patio. We called in for carry-out on a Saturday night around 7p, ordered the Mushroom Egg pizza and Pulled Pork pizza and were told 10 minutes. We zoomed over and lo and behold they were finished when we arrived as quoted. The entire car ride the smell was incredibly tempting but we abstained until arriving home. Both pizzas were delicious and the best part is, the whole thing cost $24! ($10 for the Mushroom Egg and $12 for the Pulled Pork + tax). Will be running back in no time.

Meh. I'm not impressed. The pizza was ok, service non-existent and the smell of chicken poop wafting in the air was unappetizing.

Went during happy hour....$5 for the margherita pie. Great value! The crust needs a little work. Very simply space, with thoughtful service. Not the best pizza I have ever had, but as a package, I love the set-up. $3 buhn mi has some competition now... Very nice addition to the area and nice use of space. Will be back to try the other pie offerings Specifically the egg!

Live just down the street and order from here about once every two months when friends come over for pick-up. The staff is always so nice. We've had almost everything on the menu and really like it for a light pizza. Sometimes I wish they would put more toppings on it, but then again, it would make the pizza heavy and soggy. I like the lightness and the taste, without it being overwhelming and a feeling of being stuffed afterwards. Their salad is also really good, the dressing thoigh is hit and miss with sometimes too much and sometimes too little. Definitely recommend this place.

I love the concept behind humble pie. It's an Eco friendly container building with a courtyard. There's a large chicken coop in the middle and a rooftop garden. So far so awesome. The owners/service is great! Very friendly staff. The pizza is pretty ok... But also very bland... The dough needs salt bad at the very least. The toppings are a little skimpy. I'd say the whole hog is their best pie due to the fact that pork is naturally salty. I really love everything they stand for and want to give a higher rating , but the food is lacking in flavor :/

This place is amazing and I would probably come here once a week if I lived in the neighborhood. The pizzas are thin-crust 14-inchers, and I definitely managed to eat the better part of one pie myself without any help. The best part is the tomato sauce, which is probably my favorite sauce I've had on Seattle pizza since moving here. There is quite a lot of crust space around the border of the pizzas without toppings, so it's not necessarily for folks who subscribe to the pile-as-much-on-as-possible philosophy, and the crusts were more thin that chewy, but it was just my taste. We tried: Mushroom & Egg Pizza with mozzarella, caramelized onion, truffle oil and arugula: Definitely my favorite pizza of the evening. The rich egg and umami truffle oil create a very decadent slice that pairs nicely with the delicate and slightly spicy arugula scattered on top after cooking. Prosciutto, Egg & Arugula Pizza with grana padano (hard cheese), mozzarella, and tomato sauce: Lovely and balanced. Pulled Pork and Beecher's Flagship Pizza with pickled red onions, tomato sauce and mozzarella: This one is definitely great for meat-lovers -- it was good but personally I prefer my pizzas a little less meaty. Apple and Beecher's Flagship Pizza with mozzarella and spiced walnuts: Oh my gosh this was like desert on a pizza slice, with candied walnuts and sweet thinly sliced apple pieces. To drink, they have a nice selection of 4 beers on tap (I ordered Boundary Bay's Scotch Ale), a couple wines by the glass, and Mexican coke. The location is totally unexpected -- a dark corner off Rainier Ave that you might drive right past if you didn't know what you were looking for. The interior space itself is quite tiny (maybe 24 stools total along a counter running the perimeter of the space), and designed by the owner who clearly has some serious architectural chops. He even hand-built the mushroom-shaped wood-burning pizza oven. Outside there are plentiful picnic tables and space for congregating on warm summer days (I look forward to coming back). There is even a resident chicken coop! Humble Pie does not offer delivery at this point, but they did seem to have a steady flow of take-out orders when I visited on a Sunday night. They also have a happy hour 8-9pm with beer and pizza specials, which I would like to return for!

Excellent thin crust pizza in what for these out-of-towners seemed like the middle of nowhere. A 14 inch mushroom, arugula & egg pizza was cut into 6 slices and was enough to share for two. Very friendly staff. Great spot on a sunny Seattle day. (It's always sunny in Seattle, right?)

Excellent thin crust organic local pizza!! The menu is light but packed with flavor. I highly recommend the arugula egg and mushroom pizza, Wood fired to perfection, & pairs well with red wine :) Outdoor patio complete w a chicken coop where owner Brian gets his fresh eggs daily and a green living roof where he grows his herbs for pizza, are great practices in keeping buildings green and food local. One of Seattle's best kept secrets.

  • Tom T.

Humble Pie is really unique. The restaurant is more-or-less a small shack with a few picnic tables in a gravel lot. I assume the eggs they use cannot be much fresher since there is a chicken coop on site. The pizza was very good. They had a couple of really good beers on tap.

Love this place!! The smoked eggplant pie is to die for. And it feels great to support a place that cares so much about getting the best fresh, locally sustainable ingredients. As another reviewer noted, they may not have tons of options to choose from here, but I'd take superior quality over quantity -any day-.

yummy yummy yummy! Their dough is a great one for people that aren't into thin crust pizza (like myself) because it's just "doughy" enough to give you the satisfaction of eating carbs while still giving you the crispiness of what traditional thin crust pizzas offer! Order any pizza with tomato sauce and you won't be disappointed. I ordered the beechers cheese+apple+walnuts pozza and it was yummy, but I'm always happier with a tomato sauced pizza! Seating is great for warm weather eating, but during the cooler months take-out is a better option, for sure. They're conveniently located near the infamous #7 bus line just outside of the Int'l District which great for those us living in the Southern skirts of Seattle

Great Happy Hour, $5 margherita pizzas, $11 pitchers of nice craft beers... 8-9pm. Cute environment with nice big patio zones for outdoor fun! Regular prices seem a bit steep but I will definitely be back for the late happy hour. Good design overall for the restaurant.

I've been here a few times and the pizza is fine. It's not great, but it isn't bad either. The service isn't so great unfortunately. The last time I went here it was a friday night (and it was not busy at all) and it took over 45 minutes to get me and 2 friends our pizzas. When the pizzas finally arrived, they were also kind of bare (i.e. not many toppings.. I got the "whole hog" and it was very underwhelming). I really like the atmosphere though and it's a cool place, so I will probably continue to eat here, but the pizza, unfortunately, is nothing special.

4.5 Very good tasting pizza but it's not very filling. Not really sure how healthy it is, but I feel like I can eat two pies and still be hungry. Be aware of that before you go.

Spectacular. The quality of the pizza, and creativity in the menu is unmatched in the city. The space is ambitious, functional, and a great example of what new development in the area could be like. The beer and wine selection (4 beer, 1 wine tap) is also a nice surprise. And now they're open for lunch! Great, great, great. Thanks for bringing this to the neighborhood owner Brian!!

I live a block from here and was always curious what was being built during their construction. Once I found out it was a local pizza spot I had to check it out! I ordered the Margarita which was great for the price ($8) and a small salad. The pizza was very good but the salad for me stood out more due to it's freshness! I will be back to try more humble pies!

This is the coolest place ever! So Seattle. Built from shipping containers and they grow some of their own ingredients. Chickens on site lay the eggs. But it is not just a gimmick. Their semi-outdoor pizza oven produces amazing pizzas. They combine excellent toppings for great results. They have good beers on tap. Fantastic hangout int the warmer months, but they are open year round.

I'm a fan! Before Ballard Pizza there was no good pizza for me in Seattle and I chaffed at $26 for a bullshit Pagliaci or Zeeks pie - vastly inferior to Mulberry Street in LA and Delfina's in San Francisco (and more expensive). Via Tribunali in Georgetown was hit and miss. But then (thanks to Yelp!) I found Humble Pie and am certain this is one of the best pizza I've had in the world - the owner (Brian I think) is hands-on, personable and the staff are great too. Prosciutto with egg and arugula is fantastic and those chickens in the coop add ambiance I've not experienced before - this is right up there with HongKong, Peco's, Paseo ....

I loved Humble Pie, everything about it was fantastic. We ordered the potato pizza as well as the margherita pizza and they were both delicious. They had great sauce but not to much of it and the basil was especially fragrant. We ordered some local beers and ate outside next to the chicken coop. You might think it would smell but it doesn't at all, they hardly even made any noise. I loved everything about this place, and everyone who works there is super friendly.

THE BEST PIZZA EVER! This is my favorite pizza place. I was a big fan of Pag's but this place is so much better. The Whole Hog is awesome with just the right amount of pulled pork. The other pizza I love is the Apple and Bacon - since they don't have Hawaiian, this must be the replacement. My kids both love their pizza as well. The best part is the dough. If you're a fan of wood oven pizza, this crust is slightly thicker but not as thick as pag's. And it has a chewiness to it that I love. Service can be a little slow but I don't mind waiting for good pizza! Who would have thought this little place can produce such amazing pizza! We love the pizza so much that we had it three times in one week!

Love this place -- super good pizza. Our group shared three and they were all delicious: Apple Beechers Flagship (with walnuts instead of bacon), Potato, and Field Roast. Yum! I like the style too, good beer and friendly service, and it's fun to watch the chickens.

I unfortunately have to downgrade these guys and hope that they address some issues: 1. The past two times I've ordered takeout, I've come by 25-30 minutes later and the pizzas have not been complete. 2. The people who are working there might knock you over trying to go about doing whatever they're doing (clearing glasses or whatever). Isn't that odd? Since you work there, wouldn't you give way to a customer? Apparently not... 3. The prices have gone up from $3 to $5, don't believe me? Look at the yelp pictures and compare to their current board. 4. They are getting very stingy with the ingredients, the pizzas are looking more slapped together. Last time I came in, they were opening up a fresh can of tomato paste...I'm surprised they're using canned ingredients? 5. There is little variation in the standards, you can't build your own pizza and they don't let you make changes or substitutions - the add ons are fine but don't represent all of the options. 5. There is no indoor seating, and the only indoor area is small and cramped - strange idea for the rainiest major city in the US. 6. Last time I ordered, they totally screwed up my order and it ended up costing me 30% more than I wanted to pay - I didn't feel like haggling.

Pros: Really cool space, really nice staff. The interior space is so thoughtfully designed - it feels industrial without being cold, from the plywood countertops & matching furniture to the large bulletin board that will no doubt be filled w/ neighborhood announcements very soon. It's a great addition to the neighborhood based on the design of the space alone. & the staff are friendly & genuinely seem to enjoy working there. The one big con is the pizza itself - specifically the crust. Turn it over, & it's uniformly flat & white as a frozen pizza. Take a bite, & it's chalky & flavorless. The crust should be airy, full of flavor, a natural extension of the toppings - but this was more like subpar flatbread, where the toppings, already doled out in sparing portions, tasted totally disconnected from the crust. The bar in Seattle for gorgeous pizza crust has been set by the Independent Pizzeria. Had the chef eaten there, he wouldn't have rolled out this recipe. It's got a long way to go, but I really hope they get there.

This place definitely exceeded my expectations. The first thing that I was impressed with were the very reasonable prices. You could share a meal here for about $12. They also have 4 beers on tap and pitchers. The space is mostly outdoors and there is a small indoor space that would be helpful for a rainy day, although in bad weather you may want to take your order to go. Last but certainly not least, the amazing pizza. The menu is creative without being too crazy and the pizza is excellent. The best part was the perfect crust, it was obviously hand made and just right. I also loved how the pizzas weren't overwhelmed with toppings and instead just contained a perfect balance to not weigh it down or overpower. We ordered the Apple Beechers with bacon and the Whole Hog. Not to mention the place is built to be sustainable and Eco friendly and even has chickens!! You should go here...now.

This is the perfect example of a skewed overall Yelp rating. If you're a weary parent in the neighborhood, maybe it's ok. But a food destination this is not. The pizza was decent enough. I think. I wouldn't know because they are so stingy with the toppings that it was more like flatbread with cheese garnish. Just look at some of the pictures on here. I'm intimately familiar with this style of pizza, and they're doing it wrong. There's a good 2 inches of bare crust all around, which if you are good with geometry, tells you in a pizza that can't be bigger than 14" across, is a SUBSTANTIAL amount of surface area that is just bare. It doesn't come across as minimalist, it comes across as cheap. The restaurant is really more of a yard. It's a cool idea, but going here on a Friday night, it was dominated by children running around and screaming. I know you're thinking "What a curmudgeonly jerk - nothing satisfies him!" Allow me to explain. As I sat down, a herd of children came running by - two almost ran into me (ok fine, whatever) and another ran ON TOP of the table and jumped into me. The whole time, owner of the place kept coming out to chat with people. I won't judge a place for rowdy children unless they see it happening and don't do a thing about it. While it did not appear many of the families knew each other (mostly dads bringing their kids and drinking beer), the most analogous place I can think of was Chuck E Cheese. Screaming, running, chaos, slightly defeated adults who realize this is now the sum total of their Friday nights for the rest of their lives... yeah, it had all the hallmarks. I like good food enough that I'd probably even put up with the terrible parenting that is encouraged here, but when the food is average in quality and miserly in its portions and proportions, no way. No way. I don't even know why I thought it would be a good idea.

Finally a great pizza place in the ID/Central area! Make that Seattle! 1st day open so they were a little disorganized but extremely friendly. They told us that only a small number of the ingredients are not organic (olives, tomato sauce, bacon). Had the Mushroom Egg pizza. Awesome! The combination of mushrooms, carmelized onions, and truffle oil works perfectly. And the egg is a bonus. Excellent crust high quality mozzarella. Perfectly cooked. Also the large salad. Good size for 3-4 people. A ton of fresh arugula cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, olives and shaved romano. Nice patio to enjoy a beer on tap while you are waiting for your pizza. We were told the owner made the building, patio and furniture himself! Highly recommended.

I don't know if I need to repeat what others have said, but I will! I had great and quick service, delicious food, and a small but nice selection of beers on tap. If I could afford to (and had the time to) eat here every day I would. I love pizza, especially when it's cooked in a wood-fired stove and the crust is crispy and chewy, covered with a thin layer of fresh, delicious ingredients.

This place is truly a gem! The service is wonderful. The food is outstanding and the price is unbeatable for the quality!! So fresh and delicious. The ambiance is so pleasant and unique.I have already been there 2 days out of 3 and can't wait for the next visit. Also such great vegetarian options!!

This place has a simple but great menu - 12ish pizzas, one salad, a few beers on tap, one red wine, one white wine - a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. A great place to meet friends after work. Clean picnic tables out front, friendly staff, delicious pizza in great combinations. Also - lots of veggie options. We were there with our 7-month old son and the location worked for all (he was fascinated by the chickens). An overall great addition to the hood - even if it is in a totally wacky location :). Nice to see it used!

Pretty good Neoplolitian-esque style pizza. However my preference is for NY style, crispy yet slightly chewer crust. Must get soft egg option for topping. Like the shipping container use for structures. As well as the on-site chicken coop. Great distraction for kids and source of their yummy eggs. Nice topping combos on menu. We had both the potato and whole hog pizzas which were not bad. Need more meat options for carnivores. Could use more salad options as well (one type of offered salad was arugula, goat cheese, olives and berry vinaigrette- - good but would like more options. Caesar perhaps?) Great addition to Jackson Place!

Pizza was good, customer service was lacking. Initially I asked for a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, I was told, "We don't do that." It was a little off putting, but not a huge surprise considering they're more of a specialty pizza place. I went ahead and ordered a Margherita pizza, and then asked for a plain cheese pizza since my sister had her kids with us and that was the pizza they wanted. Again, I was told condescendingly, "Yeah we don't do that. I can get you two Margherita pizza's and have one without the basil on it." Um, What? I replied, "can I just have one Margherita pizza and one plain cheese pizza." She then stated, "Okay so you want two Margherita pizza's one with no basil?" The only reason I was reiterating to have a plain cheese pizza was because I wasn't sure if the Margherita pizza had more ingredients added other than basil. She kept insisting that we were ordering two Margherita pizza's and one with no basil. I gave up and we just said alright and ordered two Margherita pizza's, one with no basil. Overall I think it would've just been easier to say, "Sure!" Instead of going so far out of your way to avoid acknowledging that you actually can order a cheese pizza. So there you have it. If for whatever ungodly reason you decided to go against the grain and desire a plain cheese pizza, go ahead an order a Margherita pizza and ask for no basil.

I've tried more than half of the pizzas on the menu and they are all fantastic. You can get the potato, pulled pork, or mushroom and egg pizza and you will be very satisfied. All of their ingredients are fresh and local, and if possible, home made or grown. They have an herb garden and chickens on site! They also have a quality local microbrew and cider selection. The best part? They are now open for lunch! Oh, and the happy hour from 8-9 pm when you can get $5 Margherita pizzas. Go! You won't be disappointed!

for the prize, you get a pretty big personal pizza. Its on the thinner side, but you'll still have a flew slices left over. The pizzas here reminded me of a flatbread. crust is not greasy at all and the pizza has a very light layer of cheese and toppings. I think just a tad bit more cheese and tomato sauce would really balance it all out with the drier/dense pizza crust. The pulled pork pizza really had a great smokey bbq flavor...smokiness may be a little overpowering for some. I also tried the mushroom and arugula with egg pizza. They ran out of caramelized onions that day , which would have rounded out the pizza really well, but i couldn't taste the truffle oil at all. (luckily i had some at home ...heh) chicken coup on the patio was cool, as i think they get the fresh eggs from in there. :) fairly new establishment so i'll give it a second try in a year to see if they have perfected their pies,

Drove by this place awhile back and decided to try the place out this weekend.... Glad we did! Got the mushroom+arugula+egg pizza and was in love with how flavorful it was. The crust was crispy and not burnt like some other places. Only thing I wish that was slightly different for the pizza was if the egg was running and not cooked through but it was still tasty. Will definitely return to try out their other selections!

This pizza place is 1. Delicious, 2. Seriously cute, 3. Very inviting. While it was December, we were warm enough under the heating lamps. I look forward to coming back in the summer and eating outside. Also, they have happy hour from 8pm-9pm!

After another local pizza shop closed down we started looking around and saw that this place opened after a lot work. The pizzas are great, some original takes on toppings, cool re-use of shipping containers. The people there are super nice. Our two year old loves pizza night with some Humble Pie!

Love this place! Flat-bread Italian wood fired pizza's are inexpensive averaging $10 and you can get it to go. Great to pick up on the way home if you are in the area. Sometimes the wait can be long because this place is getting popular.

This place is a welcome addition to the Central District. A building that would be LEED certified if it were large enough, you can tell that Brian cares about what he is doing. The pizza toppings taste like real food not some frozen highly processed garbage. There are 4 taps serving good beer, the staff is super cool and the prices are really reasonable. Cool neighborhood hangout, it would be nice to see them open up for lunch on the weekends. The chickens are fun to watch while you enjoy a beer and wait for your pizza.

I've been to Humble Pie twice. The first time I went, I would agree that the pizza dough was flavorless and on the undercooked side. However, I was much happier when I returned a few weeks later. Crust had much more flavor and was perfect. I thought the pizzas we had (margherita/the one w/ beecher's, walnuts, apples, and bacon) were delicious. Lost a star for their salad though - dressing tasted like it was all balsamic, not much of anything else. Hope they change it up in the future.

Some of the best pizza I have had in Seattle. Place is super cool: built out of old shipping containers and has a chicken coop and small garden on top. Pizzas are extremely reasonable considering how tasty they are. Nice beer selection on tap. A must visit if you live in the area or really want pizza.

Although we are just visiting Seattle we were inspired to give this place a try. We were just walking past and noticed the amazing pizza oven and stopped to inquire about it. The owner made it himself. Quite impressive. He opened up less than a week ago on a barebone budget. There are 2 tables outside and about 20 bar seats under roof that lends to its charm. You walk up to the counter to order: salad, an impressive selection of pizzas, soda, beer, one red wine and one white wine on tap for now ( more to come). Of course they have a few growing pains to work through, like what will they do during inclement weather, but the main point is that they whip out some absolutely amazing pizzas in short order and the setting, replete with a henhouse, is unique and fun. If I lived here it would be a regular haunt for me, I wished we had something like it where I come from. Go, you won't be disappointed.
