I have been to the dock a few times and have never been impressed by their service, food, or prices but tonight sealed the deal for me that I will never go back to the Dock again. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! We waited over 45 minutes to order food. The staff helped all of the tables around us even asking patrons with full beers if they needed anything while skipping over our table with empty glasses. Every time the waitress passed I attempted to wave her down raising my voice trying to get her to take our order but nothing. I honestly don't know why we were being discriminated against....was it because we were wearing Vikings jerseys? Was she a Packer fan? I guess I'll never know but I do know that she did not earn a tip on our $6 tab after 45 minutes attempting to order food. I'm glad we gave up and went to the Pacific Inn where they have good food and friendly bartenders.

This place was fun. Added bonuses for a cool bartender who almost gave me a free round of drinks until my guilty conscious got the best of me and for playing Modest Mouse's 'The Moon & Antarctica' in it's entirety, causing me to sing along in total disregard of my fellow drinkers' ears. Extra star for miraculous feats of drunken engineering and balance.

New owners? Same too busy waitresses, long waits while regulars chat with them. Tables feel sticky, as do salt shakers, chairs... everything. There are a couple new touches. In women's room the bowl of seashells.... but bowl is too grimy to see through! Food was so-so, also the cook forgot the bacon on my club sandwich. And the problem with lots of TVs is that when the volumes up on at least four of them., you really can't hear anything!

Blue-collared local dive bar. They know what their clientele like: cold beer, stiff drinks and a staff that takes no sass. Deck outside for those famous Seattle summer days. I do hear that it's days are numbered and a microbrew pub will be replacing it. We'll see....

My well behaved dog and I usually go to Norm's Eatery & Ale House (also in Fremont) for breakfast on weekends, but this morning happened to be washing bedding at the laundromat next door, saw the banner for $4.95 breakfast of ham, two eggs, hash browns and toast, so went inside to ask if dogs are allowed. They are, but only on the patio, and with signs everywhere that they're not allowed on the furniture (usually, that's a given). The feeling was that dogs are tolerated (barely), but not particularly welcomed. This is definitely a jock bar--wide screens blaring sports games inside and out, sports logos decorate the walls inside and on the patio. I ordered two eggs, hashbrowns, ham, and toast (the same as on the banner outside). Portions were small, and came with one piece of toast. That was ok, for the $4.95 price. I ordered a bloody mary (special $5)...mediocre at best...a single olive plopped on top for garnish (compared to the generous spear of mixed veggies on Norm's $4 bloodly marys. I place my order inside, collected my dog from the car, and we made our way to the patio. At 11:00, the patio looked abandoned...cushions not on the seats, not a soul in sight, though the wide screen tv was blaring a football game. My order arrived after about 20 minutes served by a pleasant server. No salt, pepper, or condiments on the table, and she didn't ask. As I was eating, another server busied herself around me, placing cushions on the seats. It all seemed mediocre, but still worth $4.95 for breakfast. I was surprised when the total ($9.95, right?) came out to $16. 95.

The scorecard: Denizens: Friendly people, with a fair number or regulars. Not too crowded. Less studiously hipster than Cap Hill (nary a fixed gear outside vs 9 at Linda's once). Diversions: Pinball X 2, in good condition: Getaway and Sopranos. Pool table. TVs if you are into watching sports. Reasonable jukebox. Drinks: Cute and awesome bartenders that can whip up a balanced, nuanced drink or "something cheap and strong". Dinner: sadly, the late late night menu is only cold sandwiches or nachos. The nachos: huge and tasty. It had about 15 ingredients, so you might get the rundown if you are a picky eater. Domain: Outside, it is a little rough around the edges...I have avoided it several times on this basis, which makes me sad now that I've been inside. I think this makes it invisible to others, too...I like that there is always room for a crowd of friends, but I like it so much that I wish the business was booming and they could avoid going condo like many lots in that microneighborhood. The deck will be glorious in the summer.

Service at this place is abysmal. The food is decent. The NFL ticket and TV selection is great. That would be the only reason to return for me.

Ah, the Dock. The Dock hasn't been the same since: The Captain moved up to Everett for good. Mark started commercial diving and Brian got married (no more funk band?) They quit letting the regulars cut through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. They added that outdoor deck. I can't write the things I've done at the Dock on a family website, but suffice to say we have a history.

Solid neighborhood pub....Great for Breakfast, Have pleanty of flatscreens to catch whatever sports are in season. Awesome staff, quirky crowd. Also has a deck for sunny days.

I actually like this place...huge portions on good greasy food and strong drinks. The service is a little lacking and some of the clientele may live in their cars but it makes for good people watching in a county fair sorta way.

I don't know about this place. It's definitely bar food without being a real bar. Perhaps I'm judging this place too harshly by the piece of freezer burned soggy horrible "fish" that was delivered to me on a plate. I think I've just talked myself into decreasing it a star. Stick to the bar, sandwiches, fried things, and maybe breakfast and some hair-o-the-dawg if you're still wasted the next day if you must, but I think I'd leave the rest of it.

Been coming here for decades, always a good time and the staff is really friendly, good stiff drinks and the crowd is versatile, you have the boat people, the regulars, the families with thier kids, the sports watchers, the fishermen or people who work on boats, the hipsters so it can get pretty interesting. The food I have only had a few times, but it was good, some better then others, never had a complaint. Good prices, good location. They make a good bloody mary and most of all my ex husband can never drink in there agin, he is permantly 86'd, Yahoo!!

  • Todd B.

Actually, not a bad place for the price. It looks odd inside, as though it hasn't been updated since 1984, when it was established, but it's got all the football games on, and pretty good breakfasts. Good diner coffee too. I bet the deck is great too, although I didn't get a chance to use it.

  • Brent K.

It is what it is. With salty dogs, locals, cheap beer/food and half nice waitresses you simply get what you pay for. Which is a great local dive bar experience. I dig.

  • Lia O.

OK...I just moved into the neighborhood from New York City, via California. I'm a HUGE fan of dive bars and when I go I expect the dark lighting , the pickled pigs feet and the clientele no younger than 70. But I have to tell you that the Dock is not a dive bar....With 15 new TV's and a delicious down home menu it is a fantastic Sports bar. The bartenders are all great gals and the service is right on. Come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner to watch your favorite team and you won't be disappointed. Try the Corned beef hash, the famous fries or the Joe's or Greek omelet for breakfast. For lunch or dinner my favorite is the Spinach Salad with chicken or the burger and fries. Fun friendly people and just a short walk to Gas Works park if you want a little excercise. The Dock doesn't look like much from the outside but c'mon in! We're all in here havin' fun.

    (5)
  • Eric L.

I go here to watch football, and nothing else. They have TV's and they show the team I want to watch. They have a decent greasy spoon breakfast for before half time and beer for after. The service can be adequate or absolutely terrible. Today I asked for a menu twice... finally I stood up and got it myself.

Fine little tavern for some happy hour beers and a bite to eat.

Like a 1988 Chevy Subarban, lifted, with lots of rust. The Dock is the go-anywhere, do-anything, all-go, no-show bar-slash-restaurant-with-an-identity-crisis-that-doesn't-give-a-shit that can accommodate all your friends. DON'T go to the Dock to impress anyone or hook up with a hottie, but DO go to have a great fuckin' time. Watch the game and drink a pitcher. Play a drunken game of spoons and do shots. Hang out on the deck, enjoy the summer sun and a cocktail. Have a greasy breakfast and a stiff drink. Play pool and get drunk. You can do it all at the Dock, just expect to feel like a dirty whore when you're done.

1 miller lite and no service at all after 1 Q of NFL football gets you 1 star. nuff said. but i did steal a customer from there and brought them to the pacific inn pub, that has all HDTV's.

  • Sprizee V.

Good no frills greasy spoon breakfast and there's never a wait. But all you need to know is that when the waitress comes around to hand you a menu, she'll also ask, "Orange juice, coffee, Bloody Mary?"

I love this place. It's the kind of dive with good food and drinks that seems to disappearing at an alarming pace. Great after work drink spot. Good place for a down home weekend breakfast though often very busy on Sundays during football season.

  • Holly W.

I'd do nearly anything for one of their pancakes - they're amazing. I've had several omelette/scrambles and they've all been great. Plus they have Buck Hunt Safari...so it's hard to think of a better place to eat.

    (5)
  • Patricia L.

The food is just okay... I like that they had local beers on tap, especially considering how many breweries Seattle has. We tried the shrimp tacos and the wings. The wings were meh, but the shrimp tacos were pretty good and spicy. We actually came here to watch the Kentucky-Florida game while we were doing touristy things in Seattle. I liked the number of TVs. I also liked that some of the TVs had their own sound bar so you can have the audio for the game on while there was music over the main speakers. It's a pretty chill spot, though.

Solid 4 stars for The Dock! I've come here for Hawks games, World Cup Games, and for lunch and casual HH since I work down the street. Great atmosphere, always wonderful service, and - uh duh - they have the towers of beer! Just went there for lunch today, our server Brittany was awesome. We had a group of about 5 and she was able to accommodate separate checks for us. The nice thing about the Dock is that they surprisingly have great options for a lighter/healthier meal (with a few tweaks!). I ordered the citrus kale salad, removed the cheese and added blackened chicken with dressing on the side. It was perfect. Another diner ordered the burger with special fries that are tossed in buffalo sauce - I'm personally not a fan (the fries were soggy and goopy, I like my fries crunchy!) but the burger was great. I've also had the fish tacos and loved them. If you're planning to go for any kind of sporting event be sure to show up plenty early so you can get a good spot. Also note that the patio seating (couches) have a minimum group of 10 people to sit there and everyone from your party must arrive within 15 mins of each other or they will give the spot to another group. Cheers!

Wow this place was a mess. Staff was overly casual, throwing trash on the floor while clearing tables. One bartender sneezed on a bouncer then poured herself a drink. They would have had only one star but the blta that I had was actually pretty decent. They really need to do a better job of having the staff be staff and sell products rather than being staff that gets paid to hang out at the bar. I saw one customer (I think) with a bag of popcorn they clearly brought from home. None of the bar tenders would make eye contact or ask if I wanted a drink. If I did manage to catch their eye, they would quickly look away as if I caught them doing something wrong. I suppose for cheap beer and watching a game, it isn't terrible. It seems to be a hobby business that isn't concerned about doing well. If that is the kind of place you like, be sure to stop in!

5 stars for breakfast! If you've never had their pancakes - go do so now! You will not be upset. They are heavenly goodness. the hasbrowns are not consistent, which is a bummer. Sometimes they're nice and crisp, sometimes not. But go and get the pancakes. Worth it! Good for hangovers and non hangovers.

Nice little spot close to Gas Works, so easy walk to the fireworks. I stopped in her to wait it out a bit, grabbed a hard cider, and listened to a Halcyon Daze perform. It can get a little crowded inside, and the bathroom is kinda small, but it's a cool venue.

The French dip sandwich was great, very tasty. Good fries. The crowd in the bar, not so great. For a wed mid day, they were wiped out. Seemed waaaay over served.

The bouncer (Thursday night) quite literally had the worst personality I have ever encountered. When we walked in, we asked how his night was going, to which he just said "I.D." Then he preceeded to just be a complete ass hole to most everybody in the bar who he decided he just did not like. There were multiple experiences this night with his sour attitude, but needless to say it was enough to keep me away from this place from now on.

    (2)
  • Lisa P.

I really do like the Fremont Dock! Be careful about coming in on a Thursday night though, as they now support the local WAKA kickball league! This just means about 50 or more drunk folks coming in to party late Thursday evening. The dock offers a number of tv's in the area, your traditional bar items and happy hour options. I love getting their happy hour sliders, the perfect amount of food at a great price! It's definitely your traditional sports bar, so don't expect gourmet, but the service is friendly and the space is nice. By the way, check out the outdoor seating area - has some nice relaxing couches to watch the game!

I love this place. We go for breakfast and the food is always fresh, hot and pretty fast. Servers are nice and the place is clean. French Toast is yummy. Have not had dinner.

I go here because it's close and the food is good. The service is unbelievably slow though. Huge turn off if you are not one of the regulars.

Definitely a dive type of bar but big in space. Lots of seating. Waitress was friendly. Lots of daily beer specials. The food was ok, pricey for a dive bar I think. Got the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Sandwich was kinda greasy, everytime you held it, grease would be runny down your hand. But the fries were great.

We had a blast on 4th of July at this place!! As we were walking on Freemont trying to find a place to hang out and have some drinks we passed by this place and people were in the outdoor patio partying like crazy. They were playing a Shakira song so my friend and I almost freak out and started dancing in the middle of the street. It was very crowded so we doubted to go in there. The other place we were going was closed so we had to come back. This place have 3 different ambiances. In the entrance there is a karaoke and bar area. Outside there is a lounge in the second floor where you can sit and have some drinks. And in the first floor outside it's like the dancing area. There is a little dock where the dj plays music. A set of drums that random people just seat and play. It's super crazy but so much fun!! They played crazy music and I loved it. My friend and I went dancing and there was a lot of drunk people but nobody was disrespectful. They sell beer towers and pitchers. Their staff is always cleaning and making sure everything is ok. I loved this place and had a blast!!

Ray: First impressions of The Doc were good. Nice exterior and expansive clean interior with a gazillion wide screen TVs. We felt invisible for a little while, but finally got served. The beer selection was pretty good. The meal presentation was nothing special, but the flavors were good. Three out of five stars. Josh: The place was clean, fairly attractive wait staff, pretty standard for a sports bar. Took some doing to get menus, then was only given one for the two of us. Service left room for improvement, to put it mildly. Food wasn't bad. Would be a great place to enjoy a Seahawks game. Three stars

  • Heddie L.

I work at a bar myself so I'm all about the service. In brief: if you're a dude, you're gonna love this place and they'll treat you great. If you're even a remotely attractive female, watch out. Regardless of tip size, friendliness, and patience on busy evenings I get the stink eye, long wait times and no conversation at all while the men around me get treated to hugs, discounts and "can't wait to see you agains". I hesitated to write this review the first few times I was in there but recently numerous female friends reiterated the sentiment, so gives ladies? Girls tip too, it's something the staff there might want to remember.

    (2)
  • Kelly D.

Great service, they have amazing food, so many TV's for game days and the patio is amazing in the summertime. Not to mention their daily specials and karoake on the weekend!

    (5)
  • John V.

Best sports bar near the UW. I've been here 5 or 6 times for weekend lunches, preferably during some TV sports events. I just order the blackened chicken salad and enjoy the games and the sportive atmosphere. Friendly waitresses and owner. Other options in the area are the Big Time Brewery on University Ave, but it has a much sparser menu, and where else? World Sports grill? 520 Grill in Bellevue? College Inn Pub? Naw, the Dock is my favorite. It even had fast internet today.

    (4)
  • Bonnie C.

By the time I got to the Dock, I may have been a little inebriated so watch out for reviewing under the influence. I had just graduated after all! The Dock used to strike me as a serious divey dive on par with Pacific Inn up the block, but it's been refurbished in recent years and is actually not creepy on the inside. We went in on Friday night and though it was lively we were still able to find plenty of space with a view of the karaoke stage. Drinks were reasonably priced and of average well drink strength. The food was edible but nothing special.

    (3)
  • Amy B.

Terrible service! The bartenders have to be flagged down to get anything for customers. Not once was I approached or asked if I wanted anything. When I was able to get someone she acted like serving me was an inconvenience.

  • C F.

Ordered a burger with no mayo. It came with mayo, and I sent it back. They gave me the same burger back with a new bun, but with mayo still smeared on the burger. Hella lazy and rude decision, especially considering the burger is like $12. McDonald's will sell you a $3 burger that is less lazy than this. Also the beer selection is weak.

    (1)
  • Matthew B.

If you go to the dock expecting something other than a classic sports bar you will be sorely disappointed. TVs aplenty. Beer selection leans toward macro but they have a decent (and getting better) craft representation. Food is greasy and NOTHING sticks to the pans back there. Breakfast is solid though more expensive than I would like and (once again) a little greasy. They have a pretty good outside patio and the service is surprisingly good for a sports bar. Extensive menu. Unless you are a glutton for punishment, or really good at that one Elton John song you love but isn't tiny dancer or rocket man but it's awesome and you're going to sing it anyways, avoid the karaoke at all costs.

    (4)
  • Alyson M.

Surprisingly great bar food and reasonably priced. I didn't go there for a game but I would go back and try watching a game there. They certainly had plenty of TVs. It was divy, but I liked it.

  • E G.

It was an ok experience. I know it's a pub/bar, but the poor server must have been the only one the night we went do it took forever to get our orders, she looked impatient (I get it, but she could have hid it), and we got the wrong order. Then it took just as long getting our bill and being able to pay it. Might try it out another time but just not for awhile.

I brought my fourteen-year-old son here last Sunday morning to watch a football game, having searched Yelp for Fremont bars that welcomed minors. When we got there, I was cautioned that normally they didn't allow kids during football time, but since this was a morning and the place wasn't crowded, the server said, Sure, you can stay. Just be warned that if the place gets slammed, you'll have to leave; but, he added, It won't, because the Seahawks aren't playing today. So my son and I order breakfast. Toward the end of the second quarter, we're asked to leave. Why? The place isn't crowded. Well, says the server (a different one), a manager just walked in and doesn't like it. I'm sorry, this server says, but you'll have to leave in a half-hour. I tell her what the other server had said, and she explained that they can't keep track of the twenty-somethings who bring their underage friends in. So that's why no minors. Huh? At least, she was nice about it, very apologetic, completely unlike a third one who said, "You'll have to leave," in as nasty a tone as I've heard in a while. We weren't the only ones kicked out, either; a man had brought his young son on a football outing too. So for $25 worth of breakfast, we got a half-and-a-smidge worth of football. Thanks much.

  • Seth M.

Sorry, Dock. You're a sports bar. We met up with some friends last Sunday to get breakfast and watch football. The giant banner out front says "Every game. Every Sunday." This is apparently not true while the Hawks play. We found a corner with one of the smaller TVs and asked if we could watch our game. The (very courteous) waitress explained that their new policy is to use all 30-or-so TVs for the Seahawks only. We used to like this place because it catered to everyone, and we have met great fans of many teams. There are plenty of sports bars in Seattle. With this new policy, I don't think we'll ever go back to the Dock.

Stopped in for breakfast early on a Saturday morning - was perfect for breakfast. I'm giving high marks 'cause the coffee was Caffe Appassionatta and it was brewed perfectly! My meal was good but I made the mistake of being seduced by the namesake Dock omelette - thought there were just a few too many ingredients in there fighting with each other instead of being harmonious. But the coffee was so good the eggs did not distract me in the least from a satisfying breakfast. I don't live in the area but if back that way I would stop in again.

Fremont Dock has undergone new ownership over the last month and it seems like they're off to a great start! My first impression when walking in the door was lots of TVs and lots of guys, This is a sports bar so it makes sense. My friend and I popped in to check out the restaurant and watch a bit of the game. We sat outside where there is a huge TV and a big sun soaked deck. I felt like I was in Florida or somewhere down south, not Seattle! We each had a Bloody Mary and they were strong and spicy. Yum. Service was friendly. One of the new owners came and introduced himself to us. Apparently a father and kids bought the restaurant and are revamping it. Looks like they're doing a good job. I look forward to returning! They have their own private parking lot which is a huge plus. I look forward to coming back and trying their happy hour. I wish them luck!

I really like their food! I don't know what it is about this place but I've had everything from their burgers to their kale salad and it is always so good (this may or may not be related to the fact that I drink a lot of beer while I'm there). I'll be back for another Sunday... especially because I can do my laundry next door.

Great place for groups and drinks. I've had food here a couple of times and it was tasty, but very greasy. I know it's a sports bar, but if they had healthier (less greasy) options I'd rate this place higher. This place is good in the outdoors when it's nice out.

came here for brunch with my boyfriend, sat ourselves at a table in the back hoping to enjoy the auburn/miss state game. server came about 35 minutes after getting us our drinks and took our order, mind you the place is NOT busy. waited another 20 minutes for our food after ordering, by the time we got our food, chicken quesadilla and veggie omelette, the server did not come back to refill our coffees/waters, and we were very unhappy with our meals. no flavor, very bland, and not the warmest either. the toast was the best part of my breakfast and even the toast wasn't that great. still no service from anyone to pick up our dirty plates or refill our empty drinks

I love this bar. It's always great to go to a bar where the owners work on a regular basis. It shows they care and can stay in touch with the quality of staff, food, and drinks. Since they Sarah and Eric have taken over this bar it's become a "Go To" place for any sports event. The outside patio are is a great place to watch Sunday football games with friends. And if you haven't been here for Karaoke on Friday or Saturday nights you're missing out. Sarah loves to get on the mic and if you get a chance to hear Chase sing you'll be amazed. All in all, a great place for food and fun. Highly recommend this sports bar.

This is a GREAT sports bar!! I'd never heard of it before, sadly - but I went there last Sunday for the Hawks first play off game (make sure to go early) because this place was PACKED, but they have TV's everywhere so there isn't a bad seat in the house. They had great drink specials and a huge menu full of yummy greasy typical bar food - but who expects high hopes at a sports bar right? Next sporting event you want to watch, check this place out!

used to go here every wednesday for about a year and a half. was SUPER bummed when they shut down, but understood the obvious reason. went to the grand opening and it's great! biggest bummer, however, is the gaping lack of a pool table. they used to have one, now they have big buck hunter and darts or something.... not a worthy replacement. oh well. decent kitchen, attentive wait staff, LOTS of BIG tv's, decent deals.

Great happy hour experience here! (Mon-Fri 3-6pm) - They had 10-12 beers on tap - good variety, some uncommon stuff - Good happy hour food deals - the sliders were ok, the Sicilian Flatbread for $5 was one of the best pizzas I've had - chicken, garlic, mushrooms, drizzled with delicious balsamic - Back deck area was comfy and had a TV as well - On Monday they also had a long list of random drink specials for $5, and they have other daily drink deals. Note: It's definitely a sports bar though - inside involved lots of dudes drinking beer and staring at televisions. So expect that atmosphere on a weekday evening at least I'll definitely be going back.

I really love Fremont Dock for what it is - a dive bar with a decent kitchen and an outdoor deck. The staff is great and the patrons always... interesting. We live down the street and love going on a sunny day to soak up a pitcher and the sunshine on the patio. I've not had a bad meal yet, either... yeah, it's pub food but the menu is great, prices fair and it's pretty tasty too! I guess they're under new management as of recently - and that might explains ome of the other changes (the pool table is gone and it looks like they might not be doing Karaoke anymore?).

I love the new owners of Fremont Dock. The food used to be so unimpressive, and now it's good, solid bar food. Great place to go for a Hawks game, drinks after work with coworkers, etc. Lots of space, cool outdoor area couch like seating, a parking lot, and a generally friendly staff. It's becoming a staple for my coworkers and I who work down the street.

$5 mimosas and $5 bloody marys. Need I say more? This place is definitely a hidden gem in a City lacking good sports-bars. The service is solid (friendly, professional, attentive and attractive). The food is plentiful and absolutely delicious. Prices reasonable. What makes this place so great are the number of wide screen HD's strategically placed everywhere. They have all games going and quick to accommodate any particular game requests with smiling faces. If you don't have A.D.D., you will when you arrive here on Game Days. It is definitely an oasis on Sundays (and I'm sure every other night of the week). Patrons leave happily satisfied even if their teams lose. Sidenote: Parking is tough as their lot only holds about 16 spots but there is additional parking around the area.

The place was adequate to go and watch a game, but with the crowd and slow service, I am not eager to recommend it.

The Dock is what it is, a good place to watch a game, have a decent and very affordable meal and just hang out. I have been here several time and the food is always good. Sometimes you have really good service and then you have time when the waitress spills iced tea all over your food and does nothing to replace it. Most the time it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss. I have had the Bourbon Street Chicken Sandwich which is really good. The philly is pretty good as well. If you want an app for the table get the super nachos with chicken. It is a mound of chips and all the fixings! Enjoy! Side note, don't go on karaoke night, unless it's your thing. We were there one Friday night and the had a karaoke class before regular karaoke started. It was really annoying.

Server was nice and the food was OK. I came here for breakfast and the place was pretty packed. I ordered biscuits and gravy with some eggs and they were nothing special. It's a sports bar dive so you know what to expect.

I'll tell you this much....I'm not going to rate this place a four star just because it seems to be the norm and my social anxiety tells me to play it safe so that everybody will think I'm cool. I like the menu because it has a lot of things that seem to be very tasty. I picked one item, The Alaskan Amber Wild Cod with Onion Rings. For $12.00 it made me very happy inside. Nice service. Fast if it is not busy. Great menu worth coming back for. Clean atmosphere including bathrooms. It looks like the new owners might take the average rating up a bit. I like it!

Came for a Tuesday night trivia, which was unfortunately cancelled. But I got to check the place out, order a few drinks, and get some grub. First off, I was shocked to find a private lot for the bar. How rare is that in Fremont? They have a nice outdoor section, wooden deck with cover. It's pretty open with plenty of TVs inside. Huge menu with bar food. Decent beer selection too. I would come back for sure.

This is a great spot! Good drinks, good food, great service! I usually stop in in the evening to kill sometime while I wait for laundry at the laundromat next door-I've been in on both quiet nights and busy game nights- and I have always gotten truly great attentive service from the staff. They seem to really care about their customers and always recognize their regulars. It's an extensive menu and I haven't exhausted the options, but the food is good, exactly what I want and expect from a sports bar. I've never been disappointed. I've been in once for breakfast and they have some of the best suasage links I've had anywhere. I've never made it in early enough for their breakfast special, but I hope to one day! This is a great neighborhood spot and I highly recommend it!

*Great place to watch games on one of many TV's *Pretty good prices on cocktails and beers *Divey divey divey decor and regulars *Great place to have a few cocktails while waiting for your laundry to dry at the laundromat next door. *Not great for food. Just avoid it.

I remember this place having an awesome burger so I wandered in the other Monday to catch the game and grab another burger. Unfortunately I was ignored for 20min, even by wait staff that was just chatting. I suppose i could have stopped one and asked for service. After 20min and one waitress looking at me and my empty table and walking by i just left and went somewhere else. Maybe i will try again. I do remember a great burger though.

Went in on a Sunday night and not much going on. I went specifically because I was craving a Reuben sandwich and this seemed to be the only place in town open that served them. The bartender was very unattentive. She was more into hanging out at a table full of her friends. The food was okay, nothing special. After waiting 20 minutes for the check, I finally got up and walked over to her. Maybe this place would be better with a crowd during a game or something.

It's a divvveeee bar! What the heck do you want? the food is soooo standard out of a can. Servic eis soo flip out of a dip.The music and tv's blare. looks like customers are all kinds from run in for lunch locals to wild to bleary.

I love this place and have been coming in off and on for years. They've always been pretty decent, and you can always find a seat somewhere. They have even changed the channel for me so I can watch random sporting events that no one else wants to watch (who watches saling?!). For the first time, recently, I noticed that they charged me more for my food than it said on the menu. I didn't notice it until a day or two later, and it's only a few dollars, but really? Now I wonder if this is standard practice? Or maybe they need to reprint their menus? I'm keeping an eye on my tab from now on., but will keep coming back.

After reopening with new owners, Fremont Dock off to a great start! Some things I really like is they have a daily special, for example Wing Wednesday or Thirsty Thursday. Maybe I'm a sucker for alliteration but it made me smile! Their food has really stepped up a notch, our table ordered a combination of sliders to full-size burgers to wings and everyone agreed the dishes deserved two thumbs up! I can't speak to the mixed drinks because we stuck to pitchers of beer, but the service was friendly and genuine. As far as a sports bar I can't think of a better place to watch a game, they have so many TVs they almost look like modern art! Even if none of these things had gone right for me the one reason I would return would be this: the fries. It seems a supreme fry is all it takes to impress this girl! I will definitely be returning to support the relaunch of The Dock.

"Fremont Dock: Est. Since 1984" reads the sign above the bar. Not just established in 1984. Not just open since 1984. Established Since 1984. I have also been established since 1984, which might be why I liked this place. That and the cheap breakfast food, a perfect way to warm up and reload the calories after the St. Patty's Day Dash. You know, the one that I didn't actually end up running. But those I was with who had actually ran in the snow and rain seemed reenergized. I had the "222"--2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon. In fact, I think all six of us had bacon and eggs in some form or another. And lots and lots of butter--I was sitting in just the right spot to watch the waitress buttering toast, and let me tell you, she wasn't shy about it. But man was it delicious. This place is obviously nothing fancy, but it does have some excellent selling points, such as the New and Improved Buck Hunter Safari, a cigarette vending machine (you don't see those much anymore), pool table, Ladies' Night on Thursdays, a patio for when the weather starts behaving...I could go on and on. But a word to the wise: the floor gets slippery when wet. Especially when you're on crutches. (Learned that one the hard way.)

Fremont Dock is the anchor of what I consider "Dirty Fremont". If you don't know that term (since I invented it) Dirty Fremont is what you find east of Fremont Ave. and unlike Fremont proper, it isn't overrun with the frat crowd and high heels on Friday and Saturday nights. The dock is always a great mix of local neighborhood characters, good cheap drinks and unexpected surprises. It's a great spot for Sunday football (plenty of TVs and Sunday ticket). It was a fun time for NYE. On a sunny day, it's a great outdoor deck party. The food has been on an upswing recently. My favorite item is the Sirloin Dip and the batter-dipped fries that come with it.

  • Rachel P.

What's not to love about a place that you can watch two or more football games on any given Saturday or Sunday with a crowd of locals?!?! If you're expecting a posh place, look elsewhere. BUT if you are looking for a good place to grab a beer with friends, come on in! Drinks are cheap and the food is surprisingly decent!!! In the warmer summer months you can usually find a fun crowd on their patio. It's definitely a good place to stop on a Friday night after hitting the Urban Beer Garden at Fremont Brewery since they tend to close earlier than most are ready to go home. It's a safe bet to go to if you are looking to avoid the shall I say, "college" crowd, this is your next stop!!!

I like that this is listed as "Fremont Dock Restaurant" instead of just "The Dock"... I have never and will never refer to this place as a restaurant. Granted, the food is shockingly good. They have great fries. Not quite the caliber of the Pac Inn one block up, but still, better than most bar food in Fremont! The Dock is generally AWESOME. Why? - Walking distance from my place - Chill staff - NEVER too crowded, unlike most bars in Fremont - Big TVs - Come as you are. There is NO pretension here. I like going in sweatpants. - People often dance at night.. not grindin on the dance flo' stuff, but old-fashioned dancing to cheesy bar hits. Funny and cool. - Photo Hunt Photo Hunt PHOTO HUNT!!!!! - To expound upon that last point: EROTIC PHOTO HUNT!!!!!! - Cheap cheap cheap and strong drinks I don't know what else to say. The Dock is the SHIT.

A Good place to go before or during a Husky game plenty of Tv's great burgers and they do a tailgate party with burgers and hot dogs at a decent price! They also have a free shuttle that will take you to the games and pick you up after!!!

Not sure about the food, this place is a dive bar, not in a bad way though. On a Friday not you can walk in with a big group at midnight and grab a table to hang out at. Not a busy place so if you are looking for a rager this is not the place. But stiff drinks and nice bartender/waitress.

  • Cameron B.

A pretty good place to go if you live within walking distance of it. I've never tried the food, but I don't think it will be high on my priority list. Decent beers on tap, a good patio for the summer and of course Erotic Photo Hunt and Big Buck Hunter. Stop by here to watch some football or on your way in or out of Fremont. UPDATE - 11/3 After spending 5 hours here on Saturday watching college football, I'm giving it another star. It's just a good place to chill out, watch football and hang with your buddies. Plus, I had a slice of heated pecan pie à la mode, which was delicious.

We come here now and then on Sundays during football season. I do the crossword while the husband watches the games on the multiple TVs. He orders lunch, I order breakfast. I drink a bloody mary* and coffee, he drinks beer. We're both happy and full. There's nothing pretentious about this place - the food isn't anything innovative or fancy, but it is yummy and filling and it's the sort of place you can come to in your grubby jeans or sweats and feel right at home. *I wish they had hot buttered rum - goes better with a stack of pancakes than a bloody mary.

The Dock is great for getting blackout drunk with your boyfriends (the friend variety, not the romantical ones) while they watch sports on TV and you pretend to have fun. The Dock is also great for big groups of friends who want to get blackout drunk in a semi-dingy place, close to home, and on the cheap. The Dock is also good for lively games of Erotic Photo Hunt, crappy food, the patio, and the proximity to an actual dock, in case you get blackout drunk and want to jump in the lake.

I hate this place. I. Hate. This. Place. Don't get me wrong...I love myself a dive bar and I also love breakfast. The Dock serves up both of those things. But I've been dragged here too many times by people who then watch baseball on the HUGE tv screen and I end up sitting there completely bored and forced to SMELL the place. It smells awful. And the floors are tile and the chairs all make really loud echoy scraping sounds when people move. It sounds like McDonalds. So there's that: TVs, bad smell, bad sound associations. And weak drinks! I couldn't even get drunk enough to forget how miserable I was.

If you just want breakfast with no fuss- come here for breakfast! They do serve the usual items for breakfast. Their hash browns are sliced potatoes (instead of shredded) that is fried in a pan. The bacon tasted like it was fried in a fryer- was not a fan of it. I think I would try sausage next time. I had the basic french toast- and it was good! The decor is also very basic but did not affect my dining experience!

You know those kinds of places where you smooth your clothes, pat your hair, check your teeth, straighten your posture and suck in your gut before entering? This ain't that kind of place. In fact, it's exactly the opposite. You enter the Dock and every tiny gram of pretentiousness you weren't even aware you had just whooshes straight out of you (whoosh being a technical term for giving a little sigh, slouching the shoulders and relaxing the abs at the same time). It feels pretty good. Go around brunch time on a Sunday, adjust your eyes to the dimness as you head away from the windows, admire the pool table in a side room and promise yourself a game "some day", find a table, and read the chalkboard for the drink specials. Order a Ruby Mimosa made of Chambord and Champagne, or a perfectly spiced Bloody Mary, and Corned Beef Hash which is homemade and scrumptious with big pieces of potatoes and real corned beef (as opposed to the dog food in a can that often poses as corned beef). If you can get into a place where a waitress might call you "hon" and the smokers are outside on the deck and a random person sitting on a barstool offers to pay for a round of drinks for everyone and you can play a game of pool or pinball without being on your best behavior, then you might like the Fremont Dock. I do.

It's aieeeet. We were there at a little after 7am for a hearty breakfast before we hit the ski slopes. We sat down before a whole bunch of apparent regulars that arrived a few minutes after us but we were ignored until the regulars were served. Grrr. Really? Took at least 15 minutes before we were able to get our orders in and then another 45 minutes or so to get our breakfast served (and the whole time it wasn't even that crowded). The food's aieeet, it'll keep you from starving to death.

As great as breakfast places are in Seattle, it took a visit from Granny to realize that a lot of them are for the young. Trying to find somewhere delicious on a Sunday morning with a short wait and somewhere to sit was a challenge. That alone knocked out all my usual favs. Thus we came across the Dock. Unimpressive exterior & interior deco was not a problem since we were taken care of immediately by a friendly & attentive waitress. An adequate range of breakfast options allowed everyone to choose something they liked and coffees were refilled regularly with Granny even getting a freshly brewed decaf. Prices were low, and potatoes & toast came with most options- delicious. An added feature was the spicy & strong Bloody Mary on special. Excellent. Granny approved!

Advertises itself as the "Best Sports Bar in Town!" How can you be the best sports bar in town when you don't even carry ESPN Full Court? And the waitresses tried to tell me my game wasn't on TV. If you WERE the best sports bar in town, it would be, because you would have Full Court. 2 stars because maybe, maybe, the food is decent. It's certainly cheap. I said deuces before they could ask for my order.

Good place to watch the NFL on Sunday. Friendly waitresses, good food that's reasonably priced, and 14 (mostly plasma) TVs and Sunday ticket. Amen. A response to the bad reviews. You people just don't get it. It's a dive. Deal with it and enjoy it for what it is. Not for the pretentious, or picky. Yes, service can be slow, but it can be dealt with some skill and patience.

It's hard to find a good place where you can get breakfast and watch a 10 am NFL game. For me, it's too depressing to go to a bar that doesn't offer food or coffee at 10 am. The Dock has good greasy spoon style eggs and hash browns and serviceable coffee (i.e. caffeinated, the coffee doesn't taste good). The Dock has a lot of tvs and the staff does a good job of accommodating people's requests for games. I would give it four stars if I could reliably get sound for the game I want to watch. I've only had the breakfast food, but someone at the table next to me got a greek salad and it looked surprisingly good. Head's up- they are no longer accepting restaurant.com gift certificates.

Great food for what amounts to kind of a dive. Awesome breakfast selection. They usually have a few pie choices as well. Service is usually good (a little slow when there's a huge crowd, but what do you expect?). I avoid this place on game days. I'm no sports fan, and I like to be able to hear myself thing.

Mmkay, I've been on this kick lately where I've been wanting to try a bunch of new places that I've driven by a million times but never stopped to try. So the boyfriend and I see the Fremont Dock, a place that definitely fell into the category, and decided we'd try it. I must start off by saying that I work in the biz. (I know, everyone says that. And generally they mean that their sister was a waitress once like 6 years ago, but I'm the real deal. Promise.) So we walk in and ask if we can sit on the patio since it was that Sunday that was SUPER nice out. The hostess gal hands us 2 menus and says, "Sure, just go tell that girl over there." An odd thing to request seeing as how YOU'RE THE HOSTESS. Whatever. I go tell the gal and we take a seat outside. (There was about 6 people sitting in the whole place, and 2 tables on the patio.) And then we wait. And wait. About 15 minutes went by without our waitress (who I assumed was also the bartender and therefore, busy) came out to even take our drink order. I ordered a soda, boyfriend got a bloody mary. After much debate, I decide on the tuna melt and boyfriend decides on the montecristo sandwich, both with a salad instead of fries. And then we wait. And wait. And wait. Finally, about another 15 minutes later, she comes back with the fairly decent bloody mary, tells us she'll be right back with the soda and takes our food order. Then she clears a table, runs food to another table, and brings me my soda. I wasn't mad yet, just thought it was weird. I felt like the salads took a long time. I still didn't mind waiting since it was so nice out and I was basking in the sun. They were ok. About 20 minutes or so after that, the boyfriends sandwich comes out, piping hot, along with an arm full of another table's food. She said she'd be right back and she was. With another arm full of the other table's food. I waited like 3 trips for her to come out with my sandwich, which was barely warm when I finally got it. Again, I wasn't mad, just thought it was really weird. She asked if we needed anything, boyfriend asked for a glass of ice water. First bite, beyond salty. The bread was perfectly toasted, though. I figured it was just me being hungover and finicky. But alas, garbage disposal boyfriend agreed it was too salty to eat. His was pretty good. Our waitress doesn't come back for another 20 minutes. Not that I would have complained, but boyfriend finished his bloody mary and was parched. She sets down this glass with some sort of jam or jelly on it and a hair stuck to it. Shut up, right? Gross. I caught her before she disappeared again. She brought back a non-yucky glass of water without the usual 15-20 min wait, bless her heart. Then, with only half of my sandwich gone, we decide we're ready to go. And we wait. And wait. I had to go to work so I ended up having to hunt her down, only to find her flirting with some dude at the bar. I assume this is where she's been because, like I said, there were only 6 people in the whole place. All in all, I was pretty annoyed with the whole experience. Judging by other people's experiences, it sounds like the only people who are shown any sort of service are regulars and icky dudes who flirt with the bartender. Save yourself some time and skip this place.

I hadn't been to the Fremont Dock in a while, and I was pleasantly surprised during my recent visit. The food was great! Our group ordered a variety of appetizers and they were all very good. The types of dishes and the quality were much better than you get at what I perceived as a fun dive bar. We are definitely returning!

  • Madd C.

Returned to the dock last Saturday after being encouraged to do so by the response to my original post. Sadly, none of the issues had been addressed. Again, we sat at our table for about 20 minutes and the dark haired waitress/bartender ignored us. Eventually we made our way to the bar and asked for menus. After sitting down for another 15 or so, we had to go up to the bar to place our orders....you get the idea...slow inattentive service the entire time. What makes it all that much worse is that we were one of 4 tables in the entire bar that actually had people at them. Sorry Fremont Dock, but you have seen the last of our group. :(

  • Daniel D.

You should have low expectations for the dock - a greasy spoon of a dive - and that's all I expected. And it delivers! So why the low rating? Unfortunately, I found a huge centipede like bug in my food on TWO occasions. The first was two years ago and I then stopped going... But I missed the grease and gave it another chance. I figured it might have been a fluke. This time, however, I was looking for bugs... And I found one just as big. Both times it was in their hash browns with breakfast. Maybe they don't wash their potatoes or something but now I can't trust the place. Never again. I'd be remiss to not warn others. Please look at your food carefully.

Old and dive-ish, but fun, cheap and reallllly good Greek food? Had a gyro platter and thought it rocked. I heard everything from Journey to Neil Diamond on the jukebox, ran into old friends and even broke a chair (oops, sorry about that). $25 got me a double Absolute Citron, 2 shots of Stoli Raz, a Crown & Coke and a Goose & Cran...Its almost worth me driving out from Woodinville for that deal! As the night progressed, I unfortunately saw a lot of barfing going on - in the hallways even - but I guess that means that everyone was having a great time as well!

This place is a great dive. The food is decent as long as you stick to the basics. I would say breakfast is best here. This is a great hair of the dog place to come and get a nice omelet and a bloody mary. SLamoRama!! Its also a good place to watch a football game with plenty of big screens and fellow fans.

This place has gone a bit down hill. The buck hunter machine is gone. They still have the NFL ticket but don't do football specials. There are other nicer sports bars in the area with more fun vibes. That golf game is also gone. Probably done with them.

I would've enjoyed it a lot better if there wasn't cigarette smoke wafting across my food on the patio. Food was typical "you order it, we'll cook it" style with nothing to write home about. Definitely a chill place, but I can't muster enough strength to write a more comprehensive review. Such is a review in and of itself. ;)

Three stars

Great service, they have amazing food, so many TV's for game days and the patio is amazing in the summertime. Not to mention their daily specials and karoake on the weekend!

Terrible service! The bartenders have to be flagged down to get anything for customers. Not once was I approached or asked if I wanted anything. When I was able to get someone she acted like serving me was an inconvenience.

Surprisingly great bar food and reasonably priced. I didn't go there for a game but I would go back and try watching a game there. They certainly had plenty of TVs. It was divy, but I liked it.

I wish them luck!

came here for brunch with my boyfriend, sat ourselves at a table in the back hoping to enjoy the auburn/miss state game. server came about 35 minutes after getting us our drinks and took our order, mind you the place is NOT busy. waited another 20 minutes for our food after ordering, by the time we got our food, chicken quesadilla and veggie omelette, the server did not come back to refill our coffees/waters, and we were very unhappy with our meals. no flavor, very bland, and not the warmest either. the toast was the best part of my breakfast and even the toast wasn't that great. still no service from anyone to pick up our dirty plates or refill our empty drinks

  • Kerry S.

    (1)

Human words can't adequately describe The Dock. The voice of God could but it would burst your eardrums. It is the Promised Land.

I would've enjoyed it a lot better if there wasn't cigarette smoke wafting across my food on the patio. Food was typical "you order it, we'll cook it" style with nothing to write home about. Definitely a chill place, but I can't muster enough strength to write a more comprehensive review. Such is a review in and of itself. ;)

Great customer service! Sports bar atmosphere. The street tacos are authentic and the salsa was great.

I do.

Actually, not a bad place for the price. It looks odd inside, as though it hasn't been updated since 1984, when it was established, but it's got all the football games on, and pretty good breakfasts. Good diner coffee too. I bet the deck is great too, although I didn't get a chance to use it.

It is what it is. With salty dogs, locals, cheap beer/food and half nice waitresses you simply get what you pay for. Which is a great local dive bar experience. I dig.

I go here to watch football, and nothing else. They have TV's and they show the team I want to watch. They have a decent greasy spoon breakfast for before half time and beer for after. The service can be adequate or absolutely terrible. Today I asked for a menu twice... finally I stood up and got it myself.

I'd do nearly anything for one of their pancakes - they're amazing. I've had several omelette/scrambles and they've all been great. Plus they have Buck Hunt Safari...so it's hard to think of a better place to eat.
