As an Alki native, I finally checked this place out. I WANTED to like it. How amazing to get a decent burger and beer with our view. Unfortunately, in a city with so many decent to awesome burger choices this place was painfully bland. I ordered the sliders for my wife and the buns were still partially frozen. I got the BBQ burger which was incredibly underwhelming. You can't ruin a shot of whiskey or a beer, and the waitress was super chipper and friendly. Two stars for her and an unbeatable view. Ultimately, if this place stays in business, it will be because of the undiscriminating weekend masses who will eat anything.

I ate here for the very first time and it I must say it was pretty tasty. The portions come in bigger sizes so you definitely don't have to worry about leaving without being full. I enjoyed the atmosphere and because it is on Alki the vibe itself is really laid back, especially in the summer time. I ate here on a sunny weekday and even then, it gets a little packed. The customer service was great and as I skimmed through the menu I noticed there there was a good amount of variety to the food. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was good, the bowl was just packed with food (but I didn't complain, the more the merrier). Personally, I think the salad dressing for the Caesar lacked flavor but that is all I can really say about the dish. And lastly, as you all know parking at Alki is ridiculous so if you decide to come eat here, remember parking isn't easy!!

The only reason why I came in here in the first place was because my son wanted a cheese sandwich and curly fries. It was 6 months since my last visit, so I thought management would have dealt with its major problem, piss poor service. So we walk in and we are seated right away. Then the wait begins. After about 10 minutes and my 7yr old griping, a young gentleman asked if my son and I had been helped and I said no. We ordered. My son ordered the cheese sandwich, curly fries and an apple juice. I ordered the fried artichoke, onion rings and a "bottomless" diet coke. The artichokes were excellent. My son was happy with his meal. The place was not that busy when we got there, which is amazing because it is Alki in August. I paid the bill, left a dollar tip on a 15 dollar ticket. I usually tip at 15 to 20 percent, but I felt the wait time and poor service made me leave such small tip and a low rating. If I could have left a 0 star rating, I would have.

Well, Well.... A Cool Burger Place on Alki !! But also includes a Buffalo Express. I don't understand some of these other reviews ? So far my Experiences here have been just Fine. I like the atmosphere, Very Cool, Garage Doors open on the Nice Summer Days, (Parking is Horrible at times but it's not the restaurant's fault, It's Alki Beach.... Com'n), They Have Beer, Burgers, Salads & Wings.... And Flat Screen TVs !! What's not to like ?? The servers I have had have always been nice and helpful. The Side Caesar Salad is Plentiful; The Wings are a Good size and the Lemon Pepper flavor is Phenomenal. Lots of Different Burger Styles as well as Chicken Sandwich styles and you can now have the burger wrapped in lettuce reducing your amount of bread intake !! It does have more of a Restaurant "Feel" to it as opposed to the Traditional Fatburger's but It's a nice change of pace compared to the Normal fast Food type of Fatburger"s. They also Have Mannie's on Tap.... Woo Hoo !! Always a Cool stop to add when you are on Alki Beach & Craving a Good Burger & Wings

The space is nice. They have lots of tv's for sports and such. You could have a small football watching party. One downside. The customer service was mediocre. A friend and I were sitting synthesis bar. If someone is sitting at the bar and had an empty glasses wouldn't you ask them if they would like another? It was at change of shift so not sure if that had anything to do with it. The have your standard happy hour menu. I'd go back but I'm not going to rave about the place. I must confess I haven't had a burger there yet. I'll write another one them

The burger here were good, I liked that they had low carb options, i had my burger wrapped in lettuce with a side salad. I was actually pretty full off just eating the burger and couldn't finish my salad. The service was good, and it was also nice since this is on Alki.

The only thing that has saved Fatburger from the dreaded 1-star review is the POSSIBILITY that their shakes taste as great as they look. Fatburger is the "local" restaurant that pretends not to be Red Robin, and honestly, this is offensive to Red Robin, a chain I enjoy on occasion. Fatburger under-delivers on everything, except for the bartender, who over-delivered on being that guy who thinks he's the coolest guy in the joint. The interior design actually isn't terrible here. It's bright on the inside, which is a nice change of pace to most 'sports' bars, and has pictures of food, which I later discovered was clearly not an example of what to expect, that makes it look like you might have a decent meal. Ordering was a bit of a challenge, frankly, because the aforementioned bartender decided he would take the orders from half way across the bar and not listen to what was said in the 1st and perhaps second attempt. The burger was neither fat or terribly reminiscent of an actual burger. The patty was definitely not made in the back and was about the size of a McDonalds patty. Nothing about the burger was anywhere near fresh. After thinking about this a little more, I lied about the shake saving Fatburger from a 1-star revew, they're getting it. Come prepared to both spend $20 on a burger & beer and leave completely disappointed.

My lil family and I ended up here on a July summer evening for a birthday dinner for my dear hubby. The place was not packed by any means and there were tons of people just hanging out in Alki - doing their thing. We walked in and asked if we could have a booth preferably since we have a lil one and the tables were not really setup to block out the loud music they had pumping out of their walls. I also knew she'd likely lay down for a nap since she had just eaten herself. The 'hostess' tore herself away from the chatter she was having with a co-worker to tell me that she only had one 'giant' booth in the back and she wasn't sure she could give it to me. So she told me to wait and she literally walked back there and then came back and said "uhm, I guess it's fine" I can tell you that almost made me turn around and leave. I hate people and places who think that they should leave tables open and force you into a small corner table that barely holds your meal. We took the table (which was next to the restroom) and my honey ordered the burger and I ordered the Buffalo Wild Wings as I had never tried them before. Our waiter (bless his heart) but he totally forgot about us after our food came. Not only did he never come to refill our drinks but when he did, he thought my Sprite was water and my husband Strawberry Lemonade was Lemonade. Terrible experience and the worst part was the open kitchen design. Why? So then you could see all the staff hanging out and talking while they ignored you trying to get your food or refills. I scrolled through Yelp reviews while we waited for our food and just to update folks.. Yes, the bathroom door to the womens room was still broken.

Tried this place twice as my 1st experience was awful, but not wanting to be that person who complains on Yelp but mentions nothing to the manager at the time, I actually did speak to him about the undercooked food and super slow service on our 1st visit. He did comp our burgers and offered to cook us more, we declined but said we would try the place again as he mentioned it was a one off. My 2nd visit was the same as the 1st. I gave it a good 4 months before I went back and this time ordered the chicken sandwich, oh how I wish I hadn't, what I bit into was raw and fatty in the middle. I nicely called the waitress over who looked confused and said "I will ask them to re-heat it"????? Re-heat it!? Seriously!? I said I didn't want it and she said ok but left it on the table. When the bill came, the burger was on it. I mentioned I was not paying for it and she said "well, i need to get a manager then, because you need to pay for it". She then came back (without manager) after 30 minutes and said, "it has been removed", she set down the bill and walked off. At no time was I ever rude or loud about the issue. There was no need for her attitude, I only guess she was like this because it happens all the time. This has happened twice now so unfortunately I am leaving a 1 star. The food is under-cooked, staff too busy chatting with each other to care and it's just a basic cheap sports dinner.

This review is stupid. I do not eat burgers or fries often so it is probably useless for you to read this review. I had the Salmon Cesar Salad and it was really good! The salmon was cooked just perfectly and the salad dressing was not the garlic mouth assault I frequently find at chain places. The view, of course, is great. You can see the water, the beach and all the people from your seat.

About what you'd expect from a big corporate burger place focussing on quantity over quality. It's fine, but nothing compared to the various smaller establishments it is competing with. It's also hard not to resent the new tenant of this once-great Alki Bakery location. I miss those cinnamon roles so much!

The burgers are always on point. The bartender was a little funny, service was a slow & there wasn't many people in there. It was also freezing in there. But on sunny days and the windows are open, I love the atmosphere.

Went here for lunch with a couple friends. The service was friendly, the food came relatively quickly, and the burgers & fries were all decent. I wasn't wowed by anything, but didn't dislike anything either. I'd recommend this place if others in the area are too crowded or the wait is too long.

We had 4 different milkshakes at our table and none of them were worth drinking. The service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. We enjoyed the view and the patio, but that was about the best part of our visit. I'm changing my review to a 1 star. The food was really disappointing and the service was terrible and it wasn't even that busy. Go somewhere better - it's not worth it. Also, they don't even have salt on the table. You have to request salt and pepper

Fatburger has changed since my last and first visit! I hated it the first round but this time the food was good! I wish I could say that about the overall experience though. You can't beat the location! Right on Alki Beach, this Fatburger has the perfect corner spot, viewing the water and people watching. Don't sit in the back of the restaurant though or you'll have the bus stop blocking your view. I would recommend the management move the hostess stand further back from the front door. There was a family of 5 in front of us as we waited to be seated, and there was nowhere for the guy behind us to go so he stood outside to wait. We were seated in the back by a large flatscreen with the volume on full blast. It was so loud, we literally had to plug our ears the first 15 minutes we were there till we got use to the volume. My friend stuffed his ears with torn napkin! I asked the server right off the bat, nicely, to turn the TV down. She promised she would. It never happened. I think she got busy & forgot about it. It appeared that there were just 2 people working the front. Getting our food and taking our order took too long since it was one gal working all the tables. Our burgers and fries were good. I had the California and my friend got the Hawaiian. I like that they give the option for different kinds of fries. The menu has expanded to be similar to Red Robin, and the same goes for the presentation. The strawberry lemonade was great with real strawberries. I would like to come back again with the tv's off or in a normal sound range. Food: 3.5 Ambiance: 2 Parking: 1 - street parking only and it's very limited on a nice day at the beach Service: 3

My experience at Fatburger on Alki: Sorry, but the name has never done anything for me. We stopped at the Alki location and waited at the sign that states "Please wait to be seated at a table". We waited for 5 minutes before I just decided to find a waiter (they were there, doing their waiter thing but no one was paying attention to the front door). I approached a waitress and asked if my party of three could sit at an empty table I was pointing to. She said she wasn't sure and need to check and make sure it wasn't reserved. Makes sense - ok. The waitress was kind and attentive. Service was reasonably quick. Food temp was hot. My wife enjoyed her plate. I ordered a burger on ciabatta. The bun tasted buttered and overly salty. I ordered and received a Coke with my plate. I drank it before I was finished, due to the salty bun. I placed my glass at the end of the table to make it obvious I had an empty glass and was hoping for a refill. It was then that I realized that aster being served, the waitress never came back to our table until she presented us with the bill. As she stepped away with the bill fold and my credit card, she hesitated and looked at my empty glass....then turned and walked away, saying nothing. I was disappointed with my visit and will likely never go back.

I like most of the staff here. Friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu. The Wild Salmon sandwich with an Elysian Immortal is hard to beat. Just across the road from Alki Beach. Great view.

Expectations - service-wise, like every other Fat Burger in Washington - Issaquah, Federal Way, Bellevue (now closed). I was wrong. I think they're trying to make the conversion to a full-scale restaurant - hostess, waiter, bar, full menu including wings and variety of alcoholic beverages. Super-friendly staff, lightning-speed service, only a 10 minute wait for the food to come out from the time we ordered. I didn't even have to ask for refills..that's always money. It might have been the timing of it all Monday evening at 6pm. I'm sure it's different when and if you choose to dine in on the weekend during the peak hours. But whatever, my experience was great. I'm a fan. I'll be back...just not on the weekends ;)

I have eaten here several times. The first time I had a build-your-own burger, and it was fine. But it's been downhill from there. I do not like their onion rings (and really don't like the dipping sauce that comes with them), the salted caramel milkshake (my favorite flavor everywhere) was way too salty (I kept biting into large salt crystals) and it was just generally not up to my standards for par. The boneless wings were okay. I probably won't o back.

I work near Alki and frequently stop by Fatburger for a quick drink or a meal. For the most part i love the location, so close to the water with a ribbon band of windows to see the veiw. The food is great and over time ive become friends with the manager though im terrible at remembering names. He is always friendly, and provides the best service. The food doesnt take long and the drinks are pretty good. The only dilemma i have with the establishment is that there is a sign that reads "please wait to be seated" but noone ever seats you. A few times ive waited at the sign and an employee noticed me after a few minutes of having a conversation with a coworker and without coming closer, told me i could sit anywhere. Usually i sit at the bar when the manager is bartending because i love the small talk but whenever i come with friends or family its difficult to get your waiter to return. A few just stand in the corner of the bar/ entrance of the kitchen and talk to eachother while waiting for orders; and if youre lucky youll be able to get their attention from afar. But overall it still is a good bar/restaurant. Not all the employees are this way and they make some really good burgers. If you visit Alki its one of my favorite places to grab food near the water.

I haven't been in a fat burger for year! This one is way different then what I remember. Probably because it has a full bar and a view of Alki! Surprisingly none of us ordered a burger in my group of 4. I would say they do have good wings. Not my favorite but still good. And they have lots of flavor and size options. Very small kids menu, it was hard to find on the menu. But had different options of fries and drinks. They have a good drink menu. I like that it's sit down service. All the workers were beyond nice.

I'm a West Seattle local who frequents Alki. When I'm looking for consistent and good food, I can rely on Marination, Phoenecia, or Cactus...and sometimes Dukes. But, Fatburger isn't on that list. The first experience a few months ago included some wings; not bad, but nothing to write home about. The second experience a few weeks ago resulted in us walking out after being ignored by the servers for 20 minutes. Tonight's experience included burgers and fries that were better than at a drive thru fast food restaurant but well, is that saying much? The service started off as being responsive but we were then seemingly forgotten after we were done and waiting for our check for quite a while. Overall: I'd go back for an easy drink with a view outside the window. But, for a satisfying dinner, I'll keep walking up Alki.

I LOVE fatburger, they make a mean veggie burger. But this location is not as good as other fatburgers that I've been to. They forget to add items to your orders or omit things. The food sometimes seems under heated and this evening my husband called to put in an order for pickup at 9:50 and was told that he couldn't because the kitchen is shut down at 9:45.....why does it say you close at 10 yet you really close at 9:45? Furthermore who closes at 10pm on a Saturday? If there was another location closer to Seattle proper I wouldn't bother coming to this location.

I really really really try to not to write negative reviews, but I am gonna. I have been into this place twice and both times the service was slow and unattentive. The kids that work here are very young, but for the bartender who seems a little too focused on himself. The last time we were there it was a bit breezy outside, there is clearly something wrong with the front door of the restaurant, beacause everytime some one came in or out of the place it would slam with immense force, extremely loudly, and shake the whole restaurant (it was a negative distraction to say the least). The food was just ok... fast food grade burger fare, I was neither impressed or unimpressed. The service, however BAD BAD BAD! They seem to have plenty of kids working, but they are very poorly managed and just kinda milling around the bar area fooling around with eachother, while all the customers just sit there with empty glasses and unmet needs. I am not really sure if there is any managment, or anyone running it with any previous experience in the food and beverage industry at all. If your food isn't that great, then you really must focus on the experience of dining in your establishment. There is no excuse for mishandling customers this way when they can make the same or better food and home for less money and not have to deal with the frustration of bad service.

First time here, and I will be back! Tony is the perfect waiter. He was on top of everything, my drinks were never empty and he was so friendly and genuine. Tony made me try the wings, which are TO DIE FOR. Highly recommend Tony as a server, I wish he was at every restaurant.

Automatic 18% gratuity on parties of 6 or more...this is indicative of the identity crisis this place is having. Food was okay, but service was super slow and the whole operation was disorganized. Is it fast food? is it trying to be upscale? I don't think this place knows what it wants to be, and as a result, the experience is not a good one.

So very not impressed. We were excited to try this place out for a while, only to be disappointed... I had the veggie mushroom burger and the husband had the california burger. To sum it up, this place is not even as good as Red Robin. The hamburger bun, was generic and flavorless. The fries were cold and unflavored. I get that they have plenty types of seasoning on the table for you to flavor your own fires. But trying to add flavor to cold fries...doesn't really work. The upside was that the service was friendly and attentive. It's hard to go to Fatburger when there are plenty of places to get tasty burgers around West Seattle.

  • Lauren W.

I'm updating to say we returned to find the service much improved. My overly honest 7-year-old told the server and manager that we had poor service the time before, and they were really nice about apologizing and trying to make it up for us with speedy and courteous service this time around. That's the good and why I added a star back. Why I didn't add more stars is that I still think the food isn't all that great, especially for the money. I expect a burger place to have amazing burgers and fries, not mediocre ones. The burger patty is dry and not that flavorful, and the fries need the seasonings to be interesting, but shaker seasonings don't stick to fries that are dry and cooling.

So we had no problems here:) we came in, we were seated promptly. server met us fast and took our orders. we had chicken wings 4star spicy, and an order of curly fries.. wings were delish. its the kind of wings they deep fry so they are crunchy, then coated in sauce... we thought four star would have been spicier, but we arent complaining, it was delish. the ranch was good, bleu cheese was creamy. fries were good. happy hour is from i think 3 to 5 monday thru fri then i think 3 to 6 on weekends. that info i couldnt find on the website. it seems happy hour is only drink specials, no food specials i could see. they serve milkshakes with different alcohols, next time i wanna try them! the only gripes i guess would be really small table for twos..... and 6 wings was about 8 bucks so that seems a little pricy

Have been here two different times. The first time I ordered a crispy chicken burger and curly fries and it was delicious. The place is very spacious and the interior is colorful and modern. There is also a full bar in this particular location. It was a rainy day on Alki and the first time we happened to be the only ones in there. The second time, the place was packed, even though the weather was still drizzly it was later in the day and the crowd was mostly people in their twenties and thirties enjoying the full bar. It was loud and our waitress did not seem especially concerned with providing the best service, I guess because it was a busy night. Yet, the BBQ boca burger with onion rings I ordered was delicious. I was satisfied with my meal both times and the overall laid-back atmosphere and for that I would rate Fatburger a solid four stars.

Can you get worse service? 40 minutes, finally able to wave down... actually tap another tables server and ask if the could take our order. Our server was busy chatting with her friends. God forbid you WORK. Food was crap.

Left feeling A-OK. The burgers weren't anything special although the portion size was good. Had the California burger (smothered in guac) with onion rings. All in all, A-OK.

I waited until making a second visit before posting a review, after my second horrible experience I've decided to do the review. Both visits: stopped by when they were not busy (later in the evening), in both cases I was ignored for an uncomfortable and maddening amount of time by the staff that had no customers taking up their time. Their conversation at the bar was more important. First visit: given the wrong to-go order. Mistakes happen and I wasn't going to trash the place for it. Second visit: order was wrong making my sandwich far less appealing to me but at least I could still eat it. Worse though was the food my wife ordered, it ended up being inedible. I have never tasted a chicken sandwich with that kind of texture, it felt like biting into a gelatinous, vaguely meat flavored piece of cucumber. Seriously it was disgusting. I don't know if they pulled some sort of shenanigans to thaw out a chicken patty because they had run out for the day or what. All I know is the food went into trash uneaten. The onion rings tasted like mushrooms, also not very appetizing, at least the chocolate shake was edible so her meal wasn't a complete loss but the net result is we will never eat there again. Lastly a prediction: whomever designed the layout did not account for the Alki summer crowd and because they tried to take a formula for a burger joint and cram it into a sit down restaurant experience this place is going to be horrible next summer. The hostess podium is not going to be able to handle the to-go crowd and this is going to be a foot traffic nightmare.

Amazing wings! I didn't know Fatburger even sold wings, but I think this is some sort of souped-up Fatburger, with lots of other options and a full bar, which is pretty sweet for watching games. I have been a wing snob since my college days in Arizona and haven't found a good wing place in Seattle, until I came here. I am normally a hot wing kind of guy, so I always get half my order scorchin' hot, but the other half I get Sweet Burbon BBQ, they are incredible. And normally I get them with bone, but starting to get into bone-less more now, but you cant go wrong either way.

Not sure if they hired a fortune teller or what, but the Curse of The Corner has been lifted. This is the third business in the two years since Alki Bakery was forced out to try to make a go of it. This one looks like it's gonna stick. Some of the neighbors complained about it being a chain, but it's a locally owned franchise and they're doing a nice job of trying to fit into the neighborhood. Since it's a sit down place rather than the standard take out stand it's more like a Red Robin. It's cheerful, friendly and pretty fast. You can either choose to "create" your own burger or order one of the pre-selected ones. They're fresh, good, quick and tasty. Not the best burger in town, but far better than many of the choices in West Seattle(hear that Pepperdock?) I also grabbed a milkshake to go which was a very nice desert. Nice Job Mr Fatty!

Had a very positive experience last night. Madison was my server, and she was very friendly with a great smile. The margarita was very good, seemed a bit slow in getting to me. The All-American Fatburger...wow!!! Excellent. The key was the perfect seasoning on the meat. Perfect. Only real issue I saw was someone needs to be watching the food in the window. Food sat too long, mine was one of them, causing the fries, (which are excellent) to not be as hot as they should be. Side note...the bartender seemed rather disinterested in what she was doing. Saw very little engaging with the guests sitting at the bar. Once she looked at the food in the window, but when I guess she realized none of it was hers, she just ignored it and went back to ringing something in on the system. I will definitely go back, as I know they are still new, and will improve. The keys...food was great, and the service was genuine and friendly.

Great hamburger patty. Bun was pretty basic. But it fell apart as I ate my bacon blue cheese burger. I ordered the curly fries and they were great. We also had boneless wings with their hottest sauce which wasn't that hit. But they had good flavor.

GREAT food, GREAT atmosphere, GREAT service. This is a really unique location with it's table service and a full bar. The design is open and spacious, comfortable, and appealing aesthetically. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. The menu has their classic options and also does an extremely good job at accommodating those with gluten/grain intolerance. Just an overall fun great place. check it out.

Fatburger is a somewhat new spot in Alki. I think they opened in the fall of 2013, but we are part time Seattle residents so this was a first. I decided to check the place out for happy hour and was incredibly surprised to find out that I had the place to myself. The beer selection was okay... 6 options... nothing stellar. Somewhat surprising because you would expect more beer options at a burger joint. The bar looked to be more stocked for nightclub/ younger party scene, which again is weird because they close at 9pm (another strange thing about this place, how do you expect to compete in this market with hours like that?) The food was hit and miss... Boneless wings were cooked to perfection, very good... The ranch was thin, like it had been watered down or something? Onion rings were awful: poorly seasoned and greasy. Service was also pretty average. There were a bunch of servers standing around when I arrived, but they were soon put to work cleaning. Bartender was friendly & helpful in describing some of the food items. He was a little aggressive about selling 'shots'/'shooters' and kept offering them to people sitting at the bar. I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try, it was okay, but not worth the $15 or so dollars that I was charged. Overall this was a very average experience. I wouldn't say their wowing anyone here on Alki. Probably go back to give the burgers a try, maybe order wings to go.

Great view and just so so food. We thought we would give it a try after having been at other locations in different cities and having a consistently good burger. This locations biggest problem is simply how incredibly dirty it is. The seats and benches were covered in greasy fingerprints. I ordered a salad and the silverware was dirty- they brought me new. I went to the bathroom and was appalled. There was trash all over the floor and you could tell that the floor hadn't been mopped in a long time. Gross. What does the kitchen look like.?! We won't be going back.

I was with my boyfriend and his friend walking along alki to get some food and beer and we saw fat burger and I wanted to try it. Menu was okay nothing big out the ordinary. Appetizer, wings, and burgers your regular bar food. I got the BBQ burger and a strawberry margarita. Burger wasn't nothing special I give it a 4. Margarita was horrible. It was way way to sweet and all you can smell was the tequila oh yeah and it came out in a slush. Why wasn't I getting a heads up from this in the first place or why didn't they let me know. I felt like I was drinking a melted slushy from 711. It was so nasty. I took one sip and didn't like it so I let my server know. He gave me a look like ughhh. Ask me if I wanted another one I said no I was already disappointed from this didn't even bother to try another one. Than he came back 15 minutes later saying he got in trouble for me not wanting that nasty margarita that they made and the owner yelled at him. My boyfriend told him we don't want to make his job difficult and what so ever so just put it on our tab than he walked away.... I will not be returning here. How are you not gonna care what your customers want or comments they make about your restraunt. We don't care about paying for the drink that we sent back but at the end of the day is the principal that counts. Little things you do like that can make you loose your business and a bad reputation so why be so bitter over a drink. Instead why don't you spend more time and effort training your staffs to have it meet up to standards so you can statifield people so they want to come back and bring people back. Topping that off my sever really didn't even do a good job of being a server or making us felt like we had a good experiences.

We sat outside in the evening on a week night. We were the only ones out there which was nice. We waited for ten minutes and no one came over to greet us after we were seated by the host, so I asked my fiance' to grab someone inside. All the servers were chatting about who was going to take us. I thought that was weird. The girl that served us was nice but when we asked her about their specialty drinks she just looked at us and said, "I don't know." A little awkward. At least pretend to care! Lol! Our food was okay. Drinks were mediocre. I'm not sure I would return but... Hopefully next time the service is better if we did return! Overall, i'd give it three stars. I'd compare it to a Red Robin. Good price for the waterfront. And, a good place for kids.

Yucky! Terrible service and terrible food. You'd be better off going to Jack-in-the-Box.

I'm a fan of Fatburger from previous experience at their other stores, so I was excited to see the Alki location open. When I walked in, I thought I was in the wrong place. It's not counter-service like other Fatburger locations, but rather table service with a full bar. It's an excellent location with a wonderful view, so the format change probably makes sense. The roll-up windows will be awesome in the summer. Despite it being a weekday lunch-hour, there was no one at the hostess stand and I stood around feeling dumb for a few minutes before I was seated. I'll cut them some slack because they haven't been open for long, but the service was simply not good. Everyone was friendly enough, but it took nearly 20 minutes to take my order, and another 20 to get served. It was not busy. My iced-tea came unsweetened, which is fine, but I was not offered lemon or sweetener. No one checked on me for a refill until my food came, 40 minutes after being seated. I asked for and received some (generic) Splenda for the refill. My burger was as good as I've had previously at Fatburger. Lots of fresh lettuce and tomato, and I like the sweet relish. The fat fries were good. I got a small cup of ketchup on the side, which I used up quickly, and no one came by to offer me more. No ketchup on the table. I tried a few of the weird, unlabeled seasoning salts on the table, but didn't particularly care for any of them. I love Alki at lunchtime, so I'm sure I'll give them another try. They'll need to improve their speed and customer service if they want to make me a regular, though.

Was pretty excited to give Fatburger a try as we live just a stones throw away. As other reviews have stated, this place has some kinks to workout if they want to stay around on Alki: Service is awful; Not much personality from the waitstaff; Long waits for drinks. What truly ended up summarizing the experience was that the menu indicated no-charge for substituting for a side salad. We were charged a $1 fee and when we asked our waiter, she spoke with the manager and he would not remove the charge as the menu was wrong. Its just a $1, but the apathy they showed to the customers was reflective in this minor non-gesture.

Those milk shakes though....go here for the milk shakes, wow! They adult milk shakes are extra special! Great place to watch a sports game! Wonderful view. As of 7/10 the women bathroom door doesn't lock.

Perfect! I love this place! Great place to take the whole family. I like the teriyaki chicken burger. The fries are yummy and the service is perfect. Great location!

A good burger and wing place near Alki beach. They have a lot of burger options, good wings, as well as some healthy options (Kale Salad, Salmon). They have a good variety of wing sauces and yummy sweet potato fries. It is a sit down type restaurant with good beer on tap, not a fast food type place.

Always a go to whenever I visit Alki beach. Milkshakes and buffalo wings are amazing. Burgers will get you FULL for the rest of the day. Servers are exceptional. Wait time is also definitely reasonable. Recommend recommend recommend!

Soggy fries (2/2 times I've been). Done giving this place a shot. Burger is so-so. Pepperdock, located a few blocks north is much better, and less expensive.

I dont write reviews but I was really impressed with Fatburger. It's definitely the up and coming place in West Seattle. The wings are amazing and my wrap was even better. I enjoyed talking to my waiter, Brad. He knew the menu was well and helped me make a great choice. I would highly recommend it.

For a brand new restaurant they are doing great! People are too harsh. The food was great and tastes fabulous. Service was fine and loved the atmosphere! I still love me a FATBURGER! If you want a fancy meal don't go here it a great burger joint people!

Great addition to Alki! Although I don't eat burgers often, I had to try my new neighbor. Both the service and food was outstanding! I wish them the best of luck!!

meh. icy bartenders seemed to do their best to pretend I wasn't there. good food but very lacking in hospitality. I mean, what kind of place is it where you walk up to a small crowd of servers with an empty water glass, and none of them even acknowledge your presence? forget this place. I won't be coming back.

Showed up for my first visit during Monday Night Football. 70% full. Seated immediately, order taken almost too fast, but luckily I'm a veteran ex-pat California with a very specific order. Beer prices were low if not cheap, selection was good. Free chips, great with the seasoning salt. Food came out about the same speed I've come to expect from other Fatburger locations...not super fast but not slow at all. Good quality food. Bun was not dry, got my order right. Fat fries highly recommended! Very friendly staff. My only complaint is that the food is slightly overpriced for what it is versus other slightly upscale burger fast food (despite this being a sit down location). Very happy they are here and they seem to be working out kinks others have mentioned.

We went there expecting to enjoy a very tasty burger and left extremely disappointed and ripped off. A.M. below says it all - "In an absolute comparison, Pepperdock down the street, also has a better burger for half the cost." The fries weren't much tastier.

Fatburger + Buffalos Express! I really like Fatburger and always have a good, tasty burger. This time (for lunch today) was no exception. They definitely have some kinks to work out but the service was great as were the burgers. What I'm particularly excited about is BUFFALO'S. The wings were amazing. Crispy bits, tender meat and the sauces are incredibly flavorful but pack a punch (we ordered Scorching). All-in-all it is a great addition to Alki/West Seattle and its going to be a guaranteed madhouse in the summer. A great place to go for a great drink, good food and the absolute best view in Seattle!

Why do they not offer a GF bun? This is a total bummer. Get with the times, people! They offer every other option, just not a different bun?

What happened to Fatburger? I walked in and thought I was in the wrong place, but to my left, there's the huge Fatburger sign. Ok, I thought I was going to a fast food burger joint, I was expecting to go up and order a burger and be on my merry way, you know, like the ones in Vegas that they have every couple of blocks? NOPE, I asked a hostess where I can order to go and she proceeds to tell me "oh we don't do to go orders, well, not at least for another 45 mins" UM what? Ok, why are we trying to turn this place into something it's not? the tv's and a full bar? why not call it something else and tag it "sponsored by fatburger' because Fatburger this is not.

Great food and great value. They worked out the kinks and we had a fantastic meal and perfect service. We are discriminating locals and will definitely come back often. Great kids menu and since our kids typically determine where we eat out, we know we will come again. This will be a mainstay local joint.

Not to good of service. Just a bunch of kids playing grab ass and not helping customers. They could not stop touching each other. I will go somewhere else. Geared towards highschool kids

I used to live in LA and liked the turkey burger at Fatburger there. I will admit I had mixed feelings about this chain appearing in little Alki area, especially after seeing the space turn a few times. But I gave it a go, I have been twice. The turkey burger was not as good as I remember but the beef burger I got, and tasted of my husbands were both good (A1, Californian and Mushroom). I like the curly fries, fat fries and onion rings. All good. What astonishes me is that they have been here a while and they still always have a nasty cardboard box and storage clearly visible where a hostess could stand right as you enter. Not what I want to see. The servers are nice, happy hour specials good... but aside from the "in sight" storage, the sometimes on the floor dirty dishes cart, what I don't' get is the BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT lighting. Why so bright lighting?? Are we on TV? I felt like I was in a spotlight pretty much anywhere in there. No bueno guys... tone it down!

Randomly found myself in West Seattle today and to my surprise I saw that Fatburger just opened. I still don't think these are the best fast food burgers in town, but I surprisingly enjoyed it more than usual, and I'm still digging the fat fries. My main problem is I just feel it's overpriced a bit with the nickel-and-diming they do with the add-ons. C'est la vie. The patty wasn't overseasoned like I've experienced at other locations, so hopefully this new staff can keep that up. Since it was opening day everyone was super friendly, so can't fault the service in any way. There's also a Buffalo's here but I think wings are disgusting so had no interest. I'm glad this little bit of suburbia is now located in West Seattle, I'll likely be back when I'm in the area.

I was so excited when I drove down Alki beach and saw Fatburger in West Seattle because it is so close to my house. My family are fatburger regulars and always commute to Federal Way or Issaquah to get our Fatburger fix! So the first time we went to the West Seattle location I was really disappointed because the bartender was rude to my Husband and I. Then when I attempt to take a bite of my favorite burger and the hamburger patty was already broken. So it was a huge mess. It did not taste good as much as Issaquah and Federal Way . We called and complained to Manager and she did make it right by paying us back half the bill. So the second time we went we hoped we would have a better experience. No I was let down again. We ordered burgers and fries for my family of four. I got my order and I noticed that I got all skinny fries so I told Server that he did not ask me what type of fries I would like. I forgot to mention we only like fat fries. So I requested to replace all the fries. So we waited 10 minutes and he replaces 1 out of 4 fries. I was shocked because I wanted them all replaced but I just took fries and left because I did not want to further complaints and wait longer. So I left and went home to eat. My daughter had a small burger and immediately complained that her burger patty was broken and it was a mess. Hmmm... Sounds familiar right? We all fought over the 1 fat fry and 3 skinny fries got thrown in the garbage. So West Seattle Fatburger u burn me once and u burn me twice so I learned my lesson and will never go to West Seattle location ever again. We are Fatburger regulars and I had Fatburger in Issaquah last night and I was not disappointed!! It is unfortunate when there is one in my backyard. I will continue to commute to Federal Way and Issaquah until West Seattle location ChANGES their low standards!!

Driving by the Bellevue and Las Vegas Fatburgers, I thought that this was a fast food place. The Alki location is more like a Red Robin, with burgers and fries priced at $9.99. On a frosty winter night I was tempted to order my food to go since the place was a little chilly but decided my love for hot fries over-rode the temperature of the restaurant. Mushroom burger sans mustard, skinny fries for me, bleu cheese and bacon burger, onion rings for him. Seemed like a nice, juicy, hand-formed patty, loaded with mushrooms and covered in melty white cheese. Ate most of my fries, which came out piping hot, and took home a better part of my burger. $38 dinner for two with a couple beers not too bad. The next morning I put the wrapped burger in the microwave for a minute at 80 power. Perfecto and good as new. Although the place was kind of empty mid-week in the dead of winter, it will be perfect for its first summer.

My husband and I decided to try this place out simply because we wanted a burger and fatburger was close by. The employees were great. Very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They definitely get 5 stars. The food, however, just wasn't that great. I ordered lettuce on my burger instead of bread and when it came out, well, let's just say I wasn't impressed. They could have wrapped the burger way better so I didn't have to eat it with a fork and knife. My husband's burger was okay but definitely not great. It was also very sloppy and most of it ended up on the tray. The onion rings are to die for so I would recommend those for sure and the fries were so-so. They also have milkshakes that looked great but I didn't get a chance to try them. Anyway, we won't be returning to fatburger. There's way better burger joints in the area I'd choose over fatburger any day. It's a nice restaurant but the food quality just isn't there!

came here today to try this hyped up burger. burger: bread was super dry/ patty was dry, over cooked and under seasoned/ lettuce and tomato was fresh. fries: (fat and curly) fat fries were perfectly fried! curly fries were slightly under cooked. They were almost cold, not crunchy at all and lacked the golden fried color. milkshake: yum!! not too thick... just perfect! service was ok, waitress made a few suggestions but once the food came out, she never checked on us again (bf's soda was finished before the food arrived and was never offered to refill)... but the restaurant looks good, I'll be back for the bar! ill give them some time before I try the burgers again.

It seems like I just paid 13 dollars for some barely warm, chewy fries, an unevenly cooked burger topped with some leathery bacon slopped over with canned guacamole, and a glass of water. Next time, at least phone it in, fellas.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING, clearly a toilet had overflowed, all the toilet paper was soaking wet, and there was no soap! When I told the manager, he looked mad and blew me off. Yuck if that's where cooks and staff are supposed to be washing their hands, I can't imagine the food poisoning. Gross gross! Will never step foot back in this place.

Terrible. The one star was for the "bottomless" strawberry lemonade which my waiter decided wasn't worth refilling. Horrible service. Was not impressed with the food my burger was in an odd shape and my boyfriends chicken burger fell apart as soon as he touched it. Do yourself a favor and enjoy one of the many wonderful restaurants on alki ave like bamboo or cactus. skip this place.

I hope they're still ironing out their wrinkles. The burger was average - not worth the wait of over 15 minutes. All of the toppings on my burger were not present and there was so much lettuce that it made the entire burger hard to handle. I agree with an earlier reviewer that stated that someone needs to watch the food window. Food sat there too long and was not as hot as it could have been. It's wasn't helped by the fact that that the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. When 90 percent of the patrons are eating with their jackets on, it's time to adjust the thermostat. That said, I'd like to give this place a second chance at some point. Maybe when the weather warms up.

Thanks Fatburger Staff. My car broke down and I was having a awful day. Every employee there was asking me how they could help. I had there Blue Cheese Burger its was great. I will be back for there frozen slushie margarita this summer..

I think I should have read the reviews above and waited until they "worked the kinks out" before dropping in. We live just a few blocks down the road and have been waiting to try this place but it has always been packed - a good sign? Well, on the way home we decided that going to Jack's place up in the Admiral would have been a better (and less expensive) choice and Dick's on Broadway would have been more satisfying and fun on a Sunday evening. Burgers were OK, service was so-so but not really friendly and the atmosphere is just a bit off - it looks and feels like a cross between a McDonalds and the bar at a Red Robin. The waitress served me a rancid tasting wine and replaced it with another glass that actually tasted worse - I left the unfinished glass on the table and she never asked how the second glass was - I could have initiated another discussion but by then I realized that we would not be back.

Both times we've been there the fries have been soggy (curly fries). BBQ burger was sub-par, veggie burger pretty much flavorless with too much sweet relish. We won't be back any time soon.

  • Kyle A.

This place will struggle when the weather warms up. Service needs to be greatly improved. We were seated promptly however it took nearly 50 min from the time we ordered to the time our food was delivered. The food was good but not worth waiting an hour for. If the "kitchen was swamped" on a Friday evening in March just wait til Summer.

  • Joe A.

While the burgers are good (not great), the service was possibly the worst we have ever experienced. We went for there for lunch and some of the staff was in the midst of a meeting with what appeared to be higher-ups. Once our food was delivered (incorrectly, in part) We never saw another waiter or waitress. We even had to get someones attention to pay our bill. There are enough good burger places in West Seattle where we never have to go back to Fatburger.

  • A M.

This place has a nice atmosphere, but the staff are more superficial (think Applebees) than down to earth or friendly. The burgers are the real disappointment as they are cooked through, rather than cooked to order, and taste like they have been steamed into a nondescript grey meat slab. Its weird because the menu makes a big deal of the burgers and they have different sizes of patties, but the patty is the worst part. At this price point, Dukes on Alki has a much better burger and JAKS at the Junction leaves this place in the dust. In an absolute comparison, Pepperdock down the street, also has a better burger for half the cost. The only saving grace to this place is the atmosphere, the fries, and the beer.

This is an weird burger (fast food) place (I wouldn't call it a restaurant), First they have hostess and you have to wait to be seated, again its called Fat Burger not The Georgian Room Restaurant in Four Seasons Hotel, so waiting to be seated is ridiculous. As you enter they have wine bottles on the display like it is a Italian Restaurant, again its called Fat Burger not Mama Mia Ristorante. My biggest disappoint came from the fact that they charge ~$11 for a burger that is not worth half that price. I mean, its a simple burger, made of some cheap meat, not some rare exotic animal, so the price sucks big time. There are so many other burger places in Seattle that are more reasonable and have better burgers so I am not coming back ever to this cirques. Its a brand new place, so of course everyone is so nice and polite, but I hate when you try to take my plate 4 times while I am still not done eating, back off, perhaps they were running low on a plates that day. Anyway, big disappointment for me, it does not make sense to eat here.

Burger. Meh. Wings were pretty good but for over $1 each I will pass. Happy hour 3.75 bud lights and dollar off some food items. Far from happy.
