Just what the neighborhood needed. Good beer, good food, family friendly, all of which are the reason it's usually somewhere in the very busy-to-crowded scale, even on a Tuesday night. I stick with the Lake City Way IPA, because I love IPAs and it's the signature brew, right? Ahi Tacos are light and delicious and come with a great chipotle dipping sauce. On the other end, the elk burger is rich and delicious. My son is addicted to their fish & chips (they don't skimp on portions for a kid order, btw), and we will keep coming back to try more, since it looks like there are lots of great menu choices. The one time I ordered fish and chips they came with an uneven level of crispy-doneness, but they were well seasoned and tasty.

I think Lake City was in need of a place like this. I don't live in the area but frequently pass through and always wished there was someplace a bit more upscale than Dick's. My family and I went fairly early on a friday night and even after our hour long wait to sit I was glad to have come. I had been hearing good things about this new Elliot Bay location and the rumors turned out to be true. Both the food and beer were very good. Great selection of house beers, guest taps, and even some cask beer! I had the cask version of their Riot Ale and it was very good. It's a beer that really works well being served under cask conditions. The higher temperature allows for the hop aroma and taste to become more pronounced to created a delicious hoppy pale ale. Now to the food. I'm a HUGE fan of fish and chips. There's something great about sitting down at a pub and having some beer and fish. I ordered their Luna Weizen Fish & Chips and was not disappointed. My mouth is watering now as I type! Big flaky pieces of alaskan cod dipped in their house tempura batter made with their Luna Weizen beer. Very delicious! The cilantro citrus cole slaw was a nice side as well, helping to clean and refresh the palate. Everyone else I was with seemed to really enjoy their food and beer as well. The only complaint I heard from my table was the bun on the burgers is a bit big a dry and the burger wasn't cooked as ordered. This being said, no one sent their food back and everyone left very full and happy. I'm looking forward to my next visit to the Lake City Elliot Bay Brewery!

having heard good reviews from friends I decided to check this place out. I went in for lunch hoping for good omelets and found out that as restaurant's go, this is a great bar. the interior is all wood, no cushions anywhere and the ambient noise levels hurts the ears if you stay too long. It took a few moments to be seated but once seated the waitress was there almost instantly she had a smile that could light up a dark room and seemed very happy to see me. there were no omelets but lots of burgers, and some sandwiches,. so I ordered a bacon cheese burger. it took about ten minutes and when it got there the fresh cut fries were good, the burger was Dry, the bacon was even drier than the burger. but it tasted good. I saw no steaks on the menu and very few breakfast items. I do not know if they have multiple menus for different times of the day and all the food I did see on the menu was bar foods Being as it was mid day and I was driving I did not have anything hard to drink as far as local hamburgers go I will stick with red robin if I go back it will be because I can't forget the waitress's smile or because someone else is paying.

Pros: Plenty of parking on Lake City Way and also back in the back. Service was fast, concise, and friendly. Can't say enough good things about the waitress as she seemed to like working there. We ordered Cod Tacos, Garden Salad, and an Imperial Ruben sandwich. All were exactly yummy and exactly what the menu said. Some diners and restaurants give you extra slimy pickles or extra garnish that was not mentioned on the menu. I also loved their hard cider selection. Probably the best choices in all Seattle. Sadly they were out of pumpkin. Must be popular. They also offer pitchers of coffee (which we did not order, but laughed at) I also liked Elliot Bay Pub's website as it has the full menus online. That helps me decide what I want before I go someplace brand new. We went to this place on a Tuesday night at 7:30pm and it was very full and huge place, but they seated us right away in the center of the big room. Not sure if they have small rooms or not. Which leads to the Cons: The room is too loud for my taste and the 7 large screen tvs are distracting as they are all on and people have to talk over them. Might be fine if it was a sports night as all the chairs and tables could be moved toward one tv. Speaking of chairs, none of them were padded. I like restaurants that at least have a few padded chairs for us people with boney butts. (^:= I bet the bar had padded seats as they make more money over there to encourage people to stay a long time to drink. In other news, they sell kegs and growlers at their Burien location. Also you can bring in your own container and get up to three gallons filled of any of their ales and any location to take home. Container must have volume info on it and have a sealing lid. Hmmm I wonder if that is why the pumpkin hard cider is gone! (^:=

I love that this place invested in the Lake City neighborhood. People there are starved for good, clean restaurants and especially a brew-pub type of place. The food's great, the beer selection is amazing, the service is fine. I totally recommend it. However, I can't give it five stars because the place is so LOUD! We tried taking my mom-in-law here but it was a joke because we couldn't even have a conversation without yelling. I hate that part of it. They need to put buffers on the ceiling or dividers or something in to solve this. We don't go there as often as we would otherwise because we always have to weigh the noise issue. It might help even just to turn down the stereo. There's enough people in there to make it feel lively. Anyway, overall I love this place, I just wish they'd do something about the noise level. One note: the owner has emailed me and said they're working on the noise issue. Yay! They just didn't anticipate being so busy with so many people all the time. Go Elliott Bay!

I've visited Elliott Bay more than a handful of times since it's opening; the food and drink menu is always awesome, and I have always received excellent service. When I needed to quickly find and reserve an event space for my friends' engagement party on short notice, I got in touch with Elliott Bay (the bride and groom's favorite restaurant) to rent out one of the event spaces they have. Ryan, the manager, was so incredibly kind and accommodating (especially given the short notice for the event) that I could cry. Not only did he snag us a room on only 5 days notice, but the day of he helped us set up a lot of our settings. Our server Lisa singlehandedly took care of the entire party's (around 15+ people at any given time) food and drink orders and was speedy, patient, and kind (I know large parties can be a bit of a hassle). Overall my entire experience hosting an event here was above and beyond fantastic!

So happy to have and Elliott Bay pub in the north end. The food is delicious so good that my pretty picky father in law wanted to go back two days later. I had the ahi tacos (yum - and the sauce). So good! The service was also great, fast and friendly and helpful in picking what I wanted to eat, because I can be indecisive.

Love this place. Not pricy ( look for a coupon in the Chinook book for extra savings), great selection of ciders and super tasty ahi tacos with a magical spicy sauce. I've been there for dates, brunch with the folks, big groups of rowdy Star Wars fans, and even groups with kids. It's a neighborhood joint close enough to walk to and stumble home from.

We were excited to try this new place but were ultimately very disappointed. We had a party of 5: 4 adults and a 4-year old. FOOD: Food was OK, nothing special. The menu has lots to choose from. The beer list is posted on a wall behind the bar, which is nice --- IF YOU'RE SITTING IN FRONT OF THE BAR! If you're in the rest of the restaurant, you have to crane your neck or get up to see what you want. They should provide a drink menu at every table, or post the beer list on the other side of the restaurant. SERVICE: Table service was good. Our server was courteous and attentive. Where we ran into problems was the hostesses. When we put in our name we were told 20-30 minute wait -- OK, we'll wait. At 20 minutes, we inquired how much longer it would be, the hostess said we were next. At 30 minutes, we inquired again. She said, "oh actually there are still 4 parties ahead of you." After 40 minutes, we asked again, and discovered that someone else had given the same name at check-in. They had given our table away to another party! After 1 HOUR, we were finally seated. All the hostess said was "oops! sorry about that!" with a cheeky grin. TERRIBLE. AMBIANCE: LOUD and crowded. They could benefit from some sound dampening wall hangings. It was kid-friendly. Overall - we will not return. With average food, and bad service (from the hostess), and so many places to choose from in Seattle, we will eat elsewhere in the future.

I like the fact that it is family friendly. The food was pretty tasty. My son had the elk burger and really enjoyed it. My sister really likes the fact that you can substitute a chicken or turkey burger in place of the beef (see does not eat beef). My boyfriend was really impressed with the beer selection. Our server was very friendly and on top of re-filling drinks, etc.. We will be back.

First of all I'd like to say that Elliott Bay is a great addition to our neighborhood and I've enjoyed two meals there previously. Both times I had the Ruben sandwich and the service had been great. So I decided to take a date there last Sunday. The Ruben Sandwich was very soggy with a too thick layer of sour kraut with not much corned beef plopped in the center of the bread. The fries were a mix of luke warm and hot fries which was annoying. The waitress served the ice tea but didn't leave sugar. She dropped by the table to see if we needed anything like drink refills after we were finished eating. The ketchup bottle was sticky and gross and almost empty. I hope that this was just a bad day to go and things will return to normal. I look forward to the quality of food I had the first two times.

At last, a great place to go to in Lake City. Great beer selection, nice atmosphere and the food was excellent. We had the Reuben and Tofu sandwich. Best of all was our server, Kim!

If seeking a local spot that has plenty of seating... it's a good bet. Stick to the bar food- stuff that is easy and fried and you will be fine. Great beer selection... obviously. I ordered a bbq chicken salad and it was terrible. I told the waitress... she didn't seem to care. Wasn't impressed with the service. Update. Ended up here for a second time...not by choice... service was not good again, and this time it was a different server. Save your money and hit one of Seattle's other bazillion breweries that have better servers and food. Seriously... this place has weird juju. Update. Third time- manager sent me a gc to come back and try again after my bad experiences... It was better... but honestly, not awesome. Lack luster wait staff- and the food was just ok. Tried a few new things- but nothing delicious or worth mentioning. What can I say. We tried. I will give a few more stars- because it wasn't as bad the last time and the manager did reach out.... but can't muster more than 3.

I have gone here several times for beer, and once for food. Sitting at the bar and drinking beer has always been great. There are literally dozens of draft beer and cider choices, including a few guest draft beers from other breweries. The bar staff is attentive, they know everything about all of the beers and they are always happy to give you a sample if you need help making up your mind. Today my wife and I finally had some real food here. The elk burger and portobello mushroom "burger" with sides were great. The place is often very busy (because it's the best non-ethnic sit-down restaurant for many blocks in any direction, or maybe just the best restaurant period) and this time was no exception. We waiting about 10 minutes or so for a table, and then the food took about 30 minutes to arrive at our table. The server was very friendly and fast on his feet, and when he presented the check he told us that the entrees were FREE because the food had taken just over 30 minutes to reach us! I tried to tell him that this was not necessary (we hadn't really noticed! We assumed it would take a while because the place is always busy!) but he insisted, so we had a great meal and two pints for a pittance. These people obviously hold themselves to extremely high standards of good service. Did I mention the food was great? If I had anything almost negative to say about the place, it would be that it has a family restaurant vibe before 8:00 PM, and it can be a little disorienting when there are people carrying babies and little kids running about when you're trying to do some moderate to serious beer drinking. But that's just the kind of place it is. As a soon-to-be father, I imagine I will actually appreciate this when my kid is born and I want a nice place to eat and grab a pint with the kid in tow. So I can't see myself knock a star off for this place because of this. Also, if you don't want kids around, go to a crappy sports bar or do your drinking later in the evening, amirite? Also, the place is often a bit crowded; but that's not their fault, because the facility is very spacious inside. Actually, it IS their fault, because they made this such an awesome place and it is accordingly popular. In short, great food, great beer, wonderful service, and a commitment to excellence make this a great neighborhood bar and restaurant. It's probably the best place to get American bar food in Northeast Seattle!

This is my "go to" place in Lake City now. I've been there three (or is it four?) times since they opened a couple months ago. I've ordered quite a few different entrees and never been disappointed. I've only tried two of their beers so far. The Lake City Way IPA was quite good. Last time I went I got one of their other pale ales (forget which, sorry!) and it was a bit hoppy for me, but that's just my personal preference. I can't complain about the service. From what I have seen and experienced, they've done a great job of handling the crowds, considering this place was mad busy from day 1. Reading some of the previous reviews makes me wonder what you've got to do to impress Seattleites. Didn't anyone ever tell you how douchy it is to complain about the service at a pub? Come to think of it, maybe those were fake reviews to repel hipster douche bags, in which case, they're genius! Elliott Bay is a working-class, family-friendly pub in a working-class neighborhood. They've even got the wide-screen TVs to prove it. If you're expecting crystal ware and five-star treatment and food you can't pronounce, you're in the wrong part of town, friend.

My husband and I have lived in Lake City for a little over two years now, and were very pleased when Elliot Bay opened up and brought a little bit of quality and class to downtown Lake City. We have been regulars ever since. We usually get friendly service, decent food, and good beer when we go, but the last couple of Sundays when we went there to watch the Seahawks game, the service has been a let down. Its not that they're not attentive--quite the opposite, they have been pushy to the point of making it uncomfortable to drink at a healthy and moderate pace, especially if you don't want to order much food. I understand that they are a high volume pub, but that sort of "move it along" mentality can alienate regulars who, even if not spending a large amount of money now, would spend it there in the future.

Overall a really great neighborhood bar and grill. Quite loud but that's pretty normal for a place like this. Good atmosphere with fun art on the walls. Great beer and food. Our only complaint is that our entres came out before we got half way through our appetizer :( which isn't BAD (much better than taking too long,) but we wish we could have had more time to enjoy it. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip which was decently good, the BBQ ground turkey burger, and my fiancé had the Philly. We both enjoyed our food and we liked the house pale ale too. Overall a great place to grab a bite, good food and drinks, good atmosphere too. We will definitely be back! (there were tons of people too- so don't just take my word for it)

The Lake City neighborhood was in desperate need of something like this. It seems every neighborhood has a fun pub, but LC was missing one that has the beer selection that these guys do. The service was good, staff was really friendly, nice beer selection. Food was average, but that is what I expect pub grub. All in all a nice addition to the neighborhood.

I went to the opening and Elliot Bay rocked all expectations. Yes, as reviewers said: it was extremely busy, but heck it was opening night. Frankly, I was so exciting to see this crowd and all the buzz. I'm sure that thing will settle down a bit. Besides the crowd and wait, the restaurant looked like it had been open for four years not a few hours. The wait staff was excellent and relaxed and, considering the crowd, speedy. The food was delicious and fresh and quick, once we were seated. The menu is pub fare and well priced. There are 17 open taps made by Elliot Bay on premises and a few others available. Delicious. I love the decor and the title "public house." It felt open and fun to be there. They created a really smart section by the bar that will be a great place for friends to gather for apps and beer. All in all, fabulous. Go eat and enjoy yourself. P.S. As a resident of Lake City, I am SOOOO tired of people talking about it as "purgatorial." Yep, we've got giant neon legs and car lots a go go, but come on: it is one of the few diverse neighborhoods in seattle (as least the north end). I am glad it isn't yet another white, affluent, perfected manicured neighborhood. Do I welcome more robust development, yes, but enough with the crapping on Lake City. Elliot Bay is awesome for taking a chance on us and I am proud to live here. And, hey, we now have our very own beer named after us. So, suck it you LCW haters. : )

I had high hopes for this place after reading all of the reviews but I was sadly disappointed. We stopped buy to try the place for dinner, we were told it would be a 30 min wait is was actually a little over an hour. Here's the good: ambiance, great selection of beer's and friendly staff and good food presentation. The bad: extremely long wait times, the food didn't really leave an impression (I had the Pub Burger) and didn't have a wow factor as far as taste. For their first week I expected a lot from a restaurant that has several other locations and I also expected a lot as far as taste wise for the food because of the past reviews of the other locations, but I was sadly disappointed. I might give it another shot in a month or so, I would definitely still go there for a beer to watch a game but I would think twice about ordering anything substantial. We'll have to see.

So nice to have a great neighborhood place in old, tipping-toward-seediness Lake City. Step inside, though, and it's a warm, friendly neighborhood gathering place - yes I actually ran into neighbors there - a pleasant escape from the neighborhood public inebriates that unfortunately continue to plague central Lake City business district. I'm a pulled pork snob, and theirs did not disappoint. Loved the beer samplers, too, and helpful bartender makes suggestions based on your previous likes. This place is always hopping and quite loud, but it's so festive and happy, you don't care and just join in cacophony. My companions also raved about their selections, generously portioned. Usually a wait during dinner hours, so plan ahead. But it's quite large, and service is fast, so wait is not too long. Step up to the bar while waiting for a table and get that beer sampler.

First: Yes, I agree. Lake City needed a joint like this. Typical pub atmosphere, reminded me of The Ram right off the bat- but with better parking (huge lot in back). We called ahead, they don't take reservations. Bummer. The wait was only 15-20 so not bad. The place has a nice vibe to it, about what you expect from a new grill/pub these days. Our table started with the sweet potato fried- super delish! I had the tofu sandwich since I'm a new vegetarian. Talk about enormous! I only ate half, and that was after removing one slab of tofu. It all tasted good... However, my (also vegetarian) husband started to feel ill shortly after his veggie burger (ketchup and cheese only, btw). not good... I got the middle of the night wake up... Maybe it was old grease? too much grease? There was no meat or mayo, etc, so that's our best guess. I can't confirm if anyone else at the table fell ill. Needless to say, the reminder of our meal was the drop in stars. Bummer.

This place is my new favorite! - outstanding menu and fabulous brews. Service is spot on and place has a fun vibe. Have tried a couple of the burgers (green chili and PBJ) -- both were outstanding. Sweet potatoes waffle fries are delicious, as are the Humus plate, fish tacos and cheese steak sandwich. Make sure you try the beer sampler. Highly recommend!

Finally Lake City has a nice casual place to eat out! The place is quite large and has typical brewery style menu that is prepared well. It can be a little loud if you are trying to have a conversation, but the service is consistent and the food is great. Despite its size, it is always packed, I mean always - weeknights, no matter the weather, always busy so plan to wait a few minutes for a table. Oh and there is a great parking lot in the back.

I should written this sooner so I could provide better details...but I LOVED their Cuban sandwich!! I am a Cuban fan and can't resist when I find one on the menu. Theirs had some interesting additions such as pepperoni. I was skeptical at first, but YUMMM! I was so happy. It was moist, hot and delicious! Need to get back there for another one...

Stopped by while passing through town. The selection of house beers was wide enough to choose between pilsner/lager and amber types, and we were both happy with our choices. I was amazed that they offered a seared ahi sandwich at the same price point as a cheese burger, and was quite pleased as was the hubby with his burger and fries. The wait staff was friendly- what more could I want?

One of my favorite brewpubs. They have a huge selection of beer and cider. Their burgers are incredible as well. The environment is fun too - there's always sports on in the bar so it's a great place to go watch a game!

I frequent the West Seattle location and love it. The new Lake City location was convenient for me so I thought I'd check it out. Knowing they are new I didn't expect them to have all the bugs worked out, but I was still disappointed. The beer was good as usual. The food was really meh. I had the "brewer's burger" with fries, which I have had many times in West Seattle. The fries were terrible. You ever try to take fries home and reheat them later in the microwave? That's what they were like. Not crunchy on the outside. They weren't even hot. I left half of them on the plate which I never do. The burger was disappointing. Very flavorless. I am not sure how you put bacon, cheese, grilled onions, grilled peppers, and grilled mushrooms on a burger and still have it come out bland, but it was. The bacon was pretty hard and chewy, not crunchy. It actually hurt my teeth to bite through it. Also they were a bit skimpy with the grilled veggies and fungi compared to the huge pile I am used to getting in West Seattle. My lady friend had the elk burger with a salad. Her salad was fine. Her burger was pretty good. If I had ordered the elk burger with fries, this would be a 3 star review. Having said all that, I'd still go back if it were convenient. I know they have potential based on the other two locations. If I had never heard of this place and walked in to this location, I would probably never return based on this food alone.

Elliot Bay Brewery adds a nice touch to Lake City. It's a good place to go with a group of friends, but the wait for a table is usually pretty long. We went on a thursday night and still waited about 30 minutes for an open table. The menu offers a large variety of stuff to choose -- from burgers to sandwiches and salads to fish n' chips. They give you a lot of food no matter what you get. I tried the fish tacos and was give two giant burritos size tacos. Plus fries! Most importantly though, the nachos on their appetizer menu are a volcano mound of deliciousness. I've gotten them twice now (granted, I've only been twice) but they are definitely a must.

New place and Lake City sure needed it. Beer is very good my favorite being No Doubt stout. Been there three times already. The first time by myself and had the best elk burger I've ever had. The second with a friends' family. They have a 5 year old so I can recommend that it is kid friendly though my fish taco was so so. The last visit I took a friend and hung out and had the steamed clams which were good but I make a better more spicy version. I would highly recommend it and think it is the best eatery beer bar in Lake City for sure. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Nice new beer and food place in Lake City. Good beer selection and good food. Had a burger which was good but the hot wings were okay. Another place that does growler fills too:)

Good beer, great service. Mediocre food. Good, but not spectacular. Still a great addition to the neighborhood. I hope they kitchen finds their groove soon and adds some great menu items. Also, it is LOUD! really loud.

I so wanted to love this place 5stars worth! The atmosphere is great as are the selection and quality of crafted brews and even the service was great. I am thrilled to have a brewpub like this so close by. They handled a huge crowd on a Saturday night impressively. However, I was very disappointed with the food. Believe me when I tell you how much I wanted to love the food - or like it enough to say - what a worthwhile outing! We ordered burgers and fries and a chicken gyro. The burgers were good all around, fresh toppings and bun, the meat was a bit below average which was just too bad. There is so much potential with a little higher quality meet. This is not the place to skimp. The fries were good enough. - average but just fine. The gyro - not acceptable. A dry bland piece of pita bread, tasteless chunks ( not the thinly sliced chicken as on the menu) of chicken breast that needed to be in a weight watchers salad at best, low quality tasteless feta and a good bit of a nice red onion. It tasted like a dry onion sandwich. The yogurt dressing helped but not nearly enough. Is it too much to ask to heat up the pita, maybe grill it a little to provide it with the flavor it is lacking. The seemingly steamed chicken chunks had no place on gyro, or in any restaurant for that matter.. If you are going to offer a menu item like this- learn what it should taste like, give it some flavor. Don't serve that and call it a gyro just because you put it on round bread. Inedible to everyone at the table. Such a shame. Invest a little in the food quality- you are raking it in on the brews... we can't eat here or recommend your restaurant for dinner if you care this little. Food aside, I'd like the mgr to know that I was on crutches for this visit. The host (after our "30min" turned 55min wait) led my family to a table in a back corner, completely inaccessible to a handicapped person. I could not get through the other tables without asking several patrons to stop eating and move their tables/chairs. He didn't offer to help, offer a more convenient location, or even notice our dilemma. He sat my 10yr old and wandered off while I battled my way through the restaurant for a full 8 embarrassing minutes. While I got settled, the waiter was already asking for my drink order. Please learn from this. I'm so disappointed. We went to Red Hook with our guests tonight.

Wide selection of good beers and a waitstaff ready to serve. 4stars. Food was more of 2stars. It tasted OK but missing flavor and mistakes from the kitchen. Fries were cool and there is nothing worse but both the sweet Potatoe fries and regular fries were replaced right away with fresh hot fries. Skip the seared Ahi tacos. Light on flavor and wrapped in a store bought generic flour tortilla that was represented as a gordita it wasn't either. I would never have ordered it if I knew it wasn't really tacos. The tuna was over cooked and mostly absent in quantity and flavor. My wife had the portobello sandwich and she was disappointed with the lack of flavor and cold sp fries. The romain salad was missing the house cheese and special pepper. Must have been a bad night in the kitchen. The manager and staff worked hard to make everything right and were open and patient with us which was appreciated. They just need to get the kitchen to take as much care with descriptions, food quality, presentation and ordering (two items were out that we wanted to order). Not the best first impression unless I'm just looking to grab a good beer.

In an attempt to find a breakfast place closer to home, we visited this place this morning. Being a pub, I did not expect the hoards of families with small children. We ordered the salmon scramble and banana blueberry pancakes to split. We got were also given a couple of fritters while waiting. The scramble was good. The pancakes were enormous and so absorbent that the tiny jug of syrup was quite inadequate. The fritters were decent. On the whole breakfast was good if not spectacular. My only problem was that the iced tea was passionflower or something similar. The menu didn't say that so I was not expecting it and it upsets my stomach. As it is my main default beverage, I tend to avoid places that serve it, so I will have to weigh that in the merits of returning. They do have some other breakfast dishes that I would like to try, so we will probably be back. We have had dinner here as well, and it was good, so it will remain on the list for that anyway.

The upside: The food is great! Everything we've tried here has been really tasty and just the right size portions. They have a great menu that is varied and I get the feeling anything we might have ordered would have been good (as it was we had the fish tacos and the Shroomer). They have an AWESOME kids menu! Kudos to these guys for providing a large kids menu over and above just the standard chicken nuggets and burger menu. They have that, but they also offer a myriad of smaller sides for picky eaters (mandarin oranges, rice, pita and pint size hummous plate). The downside: We've been here twice now and the wait and service has been SLOW. I have high hopes that they'll work it out, but it really seems like the kitchen hasn't figured out how to handle the huge capacity of the dining room. The first time we waited for 30-45 minutes for our food to come (though the waitress was really nice about it). I think it was a bit longer the second time around and my burger showed up with a cheap grocery store bun (they told me they ran out of theirs and had to run out to get some elsewhere). The burger didn't even fit on it and it was pretty sad. We'll be back again, but probably on a day guaranteed to be lighter or sans kids. It's a tough sell for kidlets to have them wait so long for food. Hoping that they'll continue to improve.

Wonderful food. Had the chicken strips and fries because I just really couldn't decide on anything. A couple sandwiches I noticed looked good and they have over ten different burger varieties. I would recommend calling ahead and making a reservation because the night we came in there was an hour wait. Can't wait for the pool table and shuffle board in the downstairs! Visited on 4/5/12

I finally went to this fine establishment after a very long day. The restaurant was crowded, however I was seated immediately and a waitress was at my table within seconds. Every employee was friendly and helpful. I decided on the rueben sandwich and it was so big that I took half of everything home. I will admit it is a bit pricy for the area, however with food and staff this good, I will be back.

The tap list is impressive, the salads are good. Definitely get the special sauce with the fish tacos, but most important... SIT IN RYAN'S SECTION. Some if the best service I've had recently, maybe ever.

SOOO excited to have this in Lake City. Great atmosphere, very busy when we went last week, we waited 30 min for a table but I just think that's a good sign as to how busy they are! They came around and offered pita chips and hummus to those of us waiting, which was a great touch and helped keep my 5 year old placated. They are still working out the kinks on the food I think. My burger was good but my husband's food was lukewarm and my daughter's grilled salmon and veggies were realllllly greasy and the salmon was literally no more than 1oz. Poor kid ate that in literally 4 bites and was asking for more. We went home and fed her dinner after we left dinner. I'm really hoping this is just a bump and they'll figure things out. We'll be back to support this local restaurant! I would've normally given 3 stars but I'm really giving them the extra star for taking a risk on Lake City!

Great Place. large, open, lots of natural light and clean. The menu looks very good and inlcudes some brunch options. The food my wife and I had was great. Even if your not interested in the many Beers they make, the menu is worth a visit. The one issue is all the TVs are on one side. so if you came with a group and wanted to all be able to see a game while socializing, it will be tough without a lot of neck turning. It would be an obvious and easy thing to fix so hopefully they do.

Went back for brunch and was less impressed. The service was still stellar. Sadly, the food was underwhelming. The complimentary apple fritters are a great touch, but they really aren't delicious - too bready. They needed some more apple or spice or crunch or gooey-ness or something. Instead, they taste like health food, but aren't. We tried the "Lake City Way-vos" and the "Public House Breakfast." The poached eggs were nicely done, but the salsa was tasteless. None of the textures really lined up either (crispy tortillas and chopped romaine lettuce finish out the dish). Definitely not worth $9.25. Ditto the Public House - nothing special and really not worth the money. The fruit cups were half under-ripe strawberries and half canned fruit. I'll give them another try under the assumption that they're still perfecting this aspect of their menu, but I'm pretty sad that my neighborhood STILL doesn't have a great breakfast spot.

Made it in to check it out. Happy to discover a full size parking lot in the back, I was certain this destination would be street parking only. As to be expected place was overcrowded with a long wait on a friday night. Bar area also packed, but could get a beer and stand around to wait for a table. More children than I prefer in a place I go to drink beer, but I know my parenting friends might appreciate this. Very loud inside. Lots of beer varietes, including many not by Elliot bay. Happy to find that samplers were available and decently priced. Menu clearly marks veg options which I am appreciate of. Had a tofu sandwhich which I didn't love but was glad to have the option anything besides a bad veggie burger makes me smile with delight. I'm sure I'll be back for the beer and there were a few items that might be tasty. Also happy to find a coupon in the entertainment book and so much closer to me than the other two locations. I was happily suprised to find out they were opening up this way.

My wife, her father, and I ate there two weeks ago.. My turkey, bacon & swiss was fresh and very good. The wife pronounced the pulled pork well worth it and her father liked the Ruben a lot. Fries are better than average. The place is noisy because it's busy and seems kid-friendly. If we're lucky they'll put Claire's out of business, soon.

Awesome! Great food, great waitstaff, great beer and kid/baby friendly! We have a toddler and it is sometimes difficult to take him out to eat, and we can take him here no problem. They have a nice kids menu as well. And it is obvious that lots of parents feel the same - they have a huge stack of high chairs by the front door for a reason! So glad they moved in the the neighborhood.

Just want to give a huge shout out to EBB for being the best Pub I've been to in Seattle! I frequent both the Lake city and Burien location often and have yet to be disappointed by anything. Service has always been 10/10, food is exceptionally delicious for being a public house - :) smiley face for that :) - and the beer is great! an EBB poem: Bring your family (little ones included), or come alone drink some beers then Uber it home

Update 9/9/15- Management contacted me and wanted to make a wrong right. They sent us a gift card to come try them again, and in my book that's good enough to raise a couple stars. I don't expect every business to do this, and I don't go looking for it- but if they care enough about their customer base to do so that's pretty swell in my book... See the original review below. What an epic disappointment. We were so excited to bring a friend here for the first time, boasting about how great it was. Total let down and embarrassing to boot. We were seated for brunch at 10:00ish. Seated-meaning more like pointed towards a table. 10 minutes later we've watched one server wander aimlessly, seat another guest and watched them be served and drink hot coffee and then we had to ask if we also had a server. The reply to this innocuous question was "yes" and a drifting away. Same waitress that walked away then came back and offered to grab us drinks. 25 minutes from seating we received coffee. The woman who was seated and has coffee is now complaining about the food and this review has turned into a play-by-play. Woman complaining has just left the building without eating due to poor food. Can't wait to eat now! We still don't know if we actually have a server. 40 minutes in and the food has been delivered. I repeat food has been delivered. It is cold. We'll probably never come here again. And I was really excited to share a new place with a friend who will also probably never come here again.

Elliot Bay Brewery is a fantastic venue for whatever event you are planning. I recently attended a very well appointed wedding reception in the downstairs room. I enjoyed their beer and service so much I decided to host our fantasy football draft here! One of the managers Ryan was very gracious, he offered us a private room toward the back with no minimum, granted no paying customers reserved it. We had plenty of space to eat, drink, and draft. And we were able to smack talk without fear of offending anyone else. Ryan even ran over right before we started to let us know about Jordy Nelson's injury! Now that is service. The beers here are fantastic. They had about 12 different in house brews on tap, which is pretty phenomenal. The offer 5 x 5oz samplers so you can try their whole range. Currently, their Session IPA "Virgil Sunshine" is my favorite. Clean with tangy floral hoppiness. You can't go wrong with the food here either. They incorporate beer in to many of the menu items in a way that doesn't feel forced. I've enjoyed the Bacon and Corn Fritters and the Corn Dogs. I had the Cowboy Burger with Fries and they both really hit the spot. The slightly spicy horseradish blue cheese spread worked well with the bacon and onions. The fries were crisp and fluffy and were great dipped in the pub sauce. If you need an event space or just a beer after work you can't go wrong with Elliot Bay.

I've been coming here forever and never wrote a review. So this place never lets me down the food is big portioned and Will keep you full. I love the guacamole bacon burger its huge and comes with a large amount of fries. And what ever you do when you come here get the artichoke dip I love me some artichoke dip and try to get it at every restaurant that offers it. And this is by far the best one. It's big and super cheesy (= but on the weekends this place can get super packed and the wait line sucks and takes forever but it's worth it!

Things that are great/make Elliott Bay unique among breweries in the area: -a TON of local and proprietary brews on tap that are organic! (And brewed onsite) -massive dining area in case you want to bring ten of your closest friends with you to dinner -ciders for those who aren't the biggest beer fans -great prices: a flight of five beers runs around 7 bucks, depending on which ones you try -half price growler fills on Tuesdays (Lake City location) -free parking! And lots of it All of the above and more combine to make EB an excellent choice for a dinner out or just grabbing drinks with friends--to be honest, I was surprised at their large selection of taps and the size of the place given the smaller appearance of the storefront. I would also like to recommend the sweet potato gaufrettes (basically waffle fries) with their house made ketchup and hot mustard for dipping for snacking--they're super tasty, and a large portion size. Re: their beers, the Lake City Way IPA (love the name) was outshined by their Red Von Boorian, by far my favorite brew of the flight. This place gets five stars and deserves it. I'll definitely be back.

Elliot Bay should be a destination for those who reside inside and outside of Lake City. Yes, LCW has a great restaurant/brewery! There, I said it. Now you know. So go. My husband and I come here frequently. The hostesses recognize us and know to always give us a booth. We have our menu favorites that we come here specifically for: -the chicken fajita salad: it's HUGE so be warned. It's like a platter of salad. -the California burger: comes with bacon and guac. Any of their burgers can be made with a turkey party which is what I usually get. They have the best tasting turkey burgers I've had anywhere. The patties are juicy, tender, and flavorful. Other tasty items include the chicken fingers and both of their fish tacos (tuna or the fried cod). Love their chipotle aioli. Love their side veggies. Love their sweet potato fries. They have a ton of rotating beer on tap. We like the B-Town Brown and the Lunaweizen. Tons of IPAs for the hardcore beer lovers. You can also bring in a growler and they'll fill it up for you with your favorite beer. A glass of house wine runs you $5. It's one of those places where you have to ask for water or you don't get it. Just a tip.

First time here; we had a few beers and shared a burger and HH appetizer. The burger was very good and pretty filling, the HH corn dogs were a yummy little snack and all the house beers were very enjoyable. The bar atmosphere was very casual and comfortable. All the servers were friendly but it was odd that we had 4 different employees, that we only saw once each...it was just a little bizarre to have someone approach who we hadn't met bring our food, then a different person ask how we were doing and then someone else brought the check.

I arrived at 8 pm on a Friday night for a family birthday dinner. I was the first one there so I put my name on the list and I watched as the hostess put my name down as "Rainy"- hahaha that's a new one! I'm assuming she didn't hear me because this place is super noisy. I had a few good laughs because although I was yelling at my cousin next to me to communicate, I had to explain to him that no, I did not say "beer cats" I said "beard hats" (it was Mariner's beard hat night). Anyway it's suPER LOUD! We started off with a pitcher of beer that our waiter suggested to us and it was light and refreshing! I ended up ordering the blue buffalo chicken blt salad. This is NOT a healthy, I'm-trying-to-lose-3-pounds salad by any means, which is both great and slightly concerning. My plate came and it was enormous! More like an entire garden with a whole fried chicken on it than a salad, but I'm not complaining about that! The meal was just alright though. The chicken was not very buffalo-y, it was more sweet than sour/spicy which is why I love buffalo-flavored things. The dressing was also poured all over the chicken so the would-be crunchy pieces were soggy by the time I got to them *cry* but overall I found the salad enjoyable and I had leftovers so that's a plus! Three of my cousins ordered the lava burger, about a minute after they all came out the waiter came back to let one of my cousins know that they accidentally gave him an elk burger so they switched it out. Halfway into another cousin's burger she was saying that the arugula was making her burger taste bitter and she realized that there were no jalapenos on her lava burger- well turns out they also messed up and gave her an elk burger! She was kinda disgusted that she didn't realize and it's kinda a sucky experience to have, especially since no one came to check if the other two lava burgers were correct after the first mistake. Overall, food is good, service is okay, the place seems to be always packed so it might be a good place to watch a game or something but still "meh" to me.

So when a friend of mine told me that there was a brewery in Lake City, I didnt believe him so I Yelped it and there it was. I was there a couple weeks ago and ordered the B-town Brown which was awesome! I also ordered the bbq pork quesadillas off of the happy hour menu and they were delish. I definitely recommend it! The place overall was pretty chill. I went after 9pm on a Wednesday night so it wasnt packed or anything which was nice, but there were still a good amount of people hanging out. This place is good for large groups as they have these big ole tables and the venue itself is bigger than what you'd think looking from the outside. Speaking of outside, they have a parking lot, but I can see the lot getting full on a busy night which means you need to find street parking which could get a little tricky. Last, but not least the service. We got there on a non-busy night so the service was good. I have read a couple other reviews that stated that service was bad on what seemed to be busy nights, but I didnt go on a busy night so just keep that in mind.

Having been here just once for a Saturday morning brunch, the only accurate word I can think of to describe the experience is... "Meh". I came in with a friend around 9:45 this past Saturday and had no problem getting a nice window table as the place was fairly empty. The waitress was perfectly nice and friendly and service was totally adequate. The food, not so much. I ordered a croque madam sandwich (ham and cheese, bechamel sauce, topped with an egg). They got the egg cooked perfectly, but the bechamel sauce was broken and lumpy with the texture of cottage cheese and no discernible taste (I get that it's just a basic white sauce, but at least there's usually a little salt, maybe some garlic, onion powder, *something* to give it a little taste, whereas this one just tasted like thick milk and could have been totally left off for a better overall dish). The roasted potatoes they served it with were nicely cooked but completely unsalted or unseasoned in any way. Really? unseasoned breakfast potatoes? Before that, while we were waiting for our order, the waitress also brought us a little plate of two complementary fritters. While it was a very nice gesture and we appreciated the thought, these were totally underwhelming as well. No noticeable seasoning or flavor, just plain dough topped with a faint bit of powdered sugar. I'm not really sure what was going on there, but it wasn't worth whatever calories were in it. Maybe it would have been better with a dipping sauce or something, but as-is it was a bit depressing. Honestly, if I was the waitress, I would have just skipped offering it since we didn't need/order it, and it obviously wasn't going to be something that got us excited for the rest of the meal. Maybe they offered it in order to lower expectations from the beginning and make the rest of the meal seem not as bad in comparison? Overall, it wasn't the worst meal I've ever had, and nothing tasted particularly bad, but for ordering the most expensive item on their brunch menu ($13.50 vs most items that were closer to $10), it was pretty much a fail. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't' make a point to come back.

The food is excellent we have been back many times and introduced several of our friends to this great restaurant. The Elk burger remains my personal favorite as do the bacon corn fritters. However the Basil Pesto grilled chicken sandwich is so good! The selection of hard cider is good, and seems to get better all the time. The deserts have also improved dramatically, the Chocolate Stout Cupcakewith real cream cheese frosing is delicious. This is an excellent place to eat in Lake City!

Top notch food every time and great service. Been here at least 5 times and every time we walk out with a smile. High quality food and great prices. The place is large, laid-back, and loud. I could, with my used-up rock band ears, just make out the classic rock and pop hits that gave a beat to the din. This, while with full bellies, we watched wild-card football on one of the half-dozen screens. The food is 3 stars here. That score is based on tasting or consuming a burger, the Philly cheesesteak, steamed clams, fries, slaw, and two different desserts. Other than too-salty clams, the food wasn't notably faulty, it was just okay across the board. The beer list is five stars. I like that they have @ 30 on-tap choices, and that 9 of them are organic. I most recently had one of their IPAs, which was deliciously-hoppy, and a Lazy Boy Amber. This is a solid choice for a bite to eat and a couple of high quality ales.

Went by one afternoon to watch a game and grab some beers. I had a Belgian IPA and an oatmeal stout, the IPA was one of their own batches and both were pretty good. The other members of my party all had some different drinks and everybody seemed to enjoy it. We also got some wings and they were solid definitely better then average bar wings. The service was good but we were pretty low maintenance customers. He came by every so often to see who need a new round and was friendly enough. I can't really say much about the restaurant part as I didn't use it but it looked nice and seemed to be hopping at 3 in the afternoon so it must be popular. If you're in the area and are looking for a bar that's nice without being fancy I'd recommend it.

I'd give 5 stars but some of the food items I've had here aren't so great, like the chicken pesto sandwich; it's a greasy mess. The fish and chips are awesome. The desserts are excellent. Always a large selection of beers on tap here at Elliott Bay; lots of their own as well as some well chosen guest taps. The servers made some good suggestions based on what types of beers we prefer. They have schooner glasses available as well, which is nice since a lot of times I can't drink an entire (imperial) pint. In my experience they'll serve you a smaller glass of any of their taps, unless it is a special (extra strong) beer that doesn't normally come in pints anyway. The seating is nice, with some great booths on the window side so you can look out on to Lake City Way. They have several TVs with sporting events playing. It does get pretty noisy in here when it is busy. The food menu is extensive (maybe too extensive) but I have always had great burgers here. Super tasty options are the elk burger, Reuben, and the Cuban sandwich. I did not care for the pimento burger, but that is the only "meh" dish I have tried so far. They have monthly specials at each of their locations as well.

A few of my office mates and I came here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. At first it was completely dead and we found it a bit odd that we were seated in a section where there were no other customers but within 15 minutes it was filling up quickly. The restaurant seemed a bit under staffed for the amount of traffic we saw which resulted in empty glasses and no wait staff around. Friendly service although mostly just not enough. As for the food; mostly sandwiches & burgers. I got the reuben on gluten free bread and was happy with my choice. I have found that at some restaurants, the GF bread options tend to be on the smaller side but not at Elliott Bay. They gave me two large slices topped with pastrami and tons of toppings . It was a solid sandwich that came with basic french fries. They had a great beer selection but could use a few more cider options. Good place, would come back for a drink and a sandwich.

We just went here for drinks, and there was a really great selection. Tons of beers including some barrel aged, and a good cider selection, as well. I can't speak for the food, but I would like to come back and try some appetizers. The place is pretty big, so there's lots of space for groups or having your own table in a corner. A nice alternative to overcrowded "hip" bars.

I literally ordered my food, blinked my eyes and my food was in front of me! Fast service and great waiters/waitresses. I loved the chicken and waffles! Inhaled it! It's clean, but table was a little sticky ( I think it's because that type of finish usually is in restaurants). I liked that they have their own beer as well as featuring others. I didn't get to try their beer but my dad got the imperial red ale and said its above average for a traditional red ale--4 out of 5 stars for his first time trying it.

My family's go-to place for great beer and American food. We frequent it for birthday dinners and as a favorite neighborhood spot to take guests. For lunch/dinner their burgers are great, though my favorite meal to eat here is Saturday brunch (my go-to order is Croque Madame + Apple Fritters). Something to keep in mind is that they do get fairly busy in the evenings and the parking lot usually fills up - one of the unfortunate downsides of being a popular place!

Our new go-to spot in the area to catch a game, grab a beer (or two) and eat some good food! We've been here twice and both times have left happy customers. It's definitely good to see a place like this in the area as I think it can attract a good crowd and hopefully encourage other businesses to continue growing in the Lake City community. The venue is large, clean, and very inviting with TVs all over the place. There is also a downstairs "lounge" area that can be rented out with a private bar. As others have mentioned, the tap selection is fantastic as most of the beer is brewed at location. I'm excited to continue to visit as each of the seasons go by to see the selection change. Food was spot on as well, the first time I had their BBQ bacon burger which was awesome and spicy wings the second time. The portion was a little small for the Wings compared to some other restaurants, but they were good nonetheless. I will definitely be coming back and becoming a regular here. You should as well.

I called in to place takeout. The gal who picked up (the bartender, it turned out) was super friendly and laidback. When I asked about a burger, she mentioned she could just list different ones---off she went and eventually I halted her for the green light. This phone convo was friendly, cool and patient. Inside, I waited up at the bar and asked her for rec's on a nice light-med beer to kill time. The pleasant/seducing(?) name escapes me but it was nice & smooth! As a future note, since it's just the brown box, I'd pass on the big bag and save the material, yo, unless you have lots of condiments and crap you want to carry in it, too. Sweet! It was a busy night.

This place was great! The food was solid pub food and they have enough beer to make your head spin. They let me pick my own flight and my gf had the pineapple cider. All were incredible beers and the cider was wonderful. Big fan of the IPA. The fish & chips was a HUGE and like the fat bastard I am I finished every bite. My girl had the Philly Steak and it, too, was huge. The bread was soft and the like the bird eater she is we took much of it to go. Our server looked like a poor man's James Van Der Beer and even though his section seemed to span the entire place, he was great, no complaints. I will go back!

You know what I think? Those ahi tacos need to be taken off the menu. The description is misleading: Southwest seasoned Ahi tuna flash seared to medium rare, laid over a bed of fresh citrus cilantro slaw and wrapped in gordita shells. Served with our house-made pico de gallo, chipotle aioli and seasoned fries The "gordita shells" are flour tortillas (yes, the grocery store kind) and the ahi is cooked to SHIT. Such a shame to do to ahi. Then, if that wasn't bad enough they give you a small serving of tuna compared to tortilla, So you get about 3 layers of tortilla and a bit of well done (lol) tuna in each bite. If you search through other reviews, you will see this isn't a one time thing and it is no mistake. I asked the waitress why they were served in tortillas and the tuna wasn't seared. She said "Oh, we always serve it like this, its the cod tacos that come with CORN tortillas". At that point I wasn't going to argue. HOWEVER--- I did try their burger again (twice actually since writing this) and it is damn good. So ignore what I said before, what I had come to find out is, when they run out of buns they pick up some at Grocery Outlet... guess who got a Grocery Outlet bun with their $13 burger? This girl. Make sure you get the good bun!! So we are still at three stars. Come on Elliott, you're better than this! There is so much beer fun to be had (you even have a nice selection of wine). I WANT TO SPEND MONEY HERE. LET ME SPEND MY MONEY HERE. Just give me decent food man.

We have been here about once a month since finding out about this place about a year ago. I eat strictly gluten free and the bartender at this location walks me through any questions I have about the menu. I've never been sick from eating at this location and if you have to eat gluten free I think this is a valid place to eat. The food is solid and always good, the service is always excellent. There are always gluten free ciders on tap, at least 4 or more and always a new one to try.

We love this place for brunch, happy hour, dinner... Really, we've never been disappointed and the prices are so reasonable for the quality. It's also one of the ONLY places around that you don't have to wait in a huge line for weekend brunch!!! Also, you can upgrade any burger to a delicious, lean elk patty for a little extra - wow! Also also... sweet potato fries, and breakfast comes with a free little apple fritter starter. It's an appley beignet. Nom. Their beer and cider options are pretty epic too.

Such a great atmosphere. They say it's a bar and brewery but kids are welcome to come along and I felt like it was more of a family vibe. Loved their ahi tacos. It was a such great balance of flavored. Came back a few days later and had one of their grilled cheese basil chicken sandwiches and that was absolutely delicious too!

Mmmm, we love this place! Great selection of beer, and they always have a few ciders. The malt milkshake is to die for, and it's a good glass and a half of milkshake so definitely enough to split! We live fairly close so I've probably tried over half the menu and NEVER been disappointed. Our favorites are the California burger (with chicken instead of beef, yum!), the ahi tacos, and elk burger. The pancakes are also awesome. We've brought many a guest with dietary issues and they've always been very accommodating. Service is always impeccable. My only gripe is that I wish they had a larger outdoor seating area! There's only a few picnic tables. It's also always relatively busy here, so be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes.

This place is great! And there's obviously a need for a great brew pub in the neighborhood as it was completely packed 7:45pm on a Tuesday. The space is lively and attractive and loud. Amazing selection of beers including lots of great rotating taps. Also a very impressive collection of hard ciders on tap. The menu is varied and mostly well accomplished. The Fish and Chips were very tasty, the French Dip sandwich was fantastic, and several of the appetizers were great. The Nachos are a bit of a disappointment, however. Chips covered in a nice collection of chopped tomatoes, black olives, jalapenos, and beans...SO SO many beans. The chips get soggy quickly. But, the Nachos had hardly any CHEESE! It was like fancy beans and veg on top of chips, which was tasty enough. And there was guac and sour cream on the side. But the POINT of nachos is melted cheese so that was sad. But everything else was tasty. They also offer several float and milkshake options with some of their beers. Their own stout is super creamy with hints of chocolate and so must lend itself beautifully to ice cream float. Staff was attentive and friendly. They managed our large group of ten wonderfully and were great about separate checks, just keeping track of it from the beginning before we even asked. They do not take reservations but if you have a large group you can still call in ahead with your number of diners and arrival time and they'll be better able to manage this. Yay.

This is a big establishment with lots of space. It gets a little loud, even early on a Saturday evening, but about what you might expect for a brewery setting. There are a couple of TVs with the game on, but it is by no means a sports bar. I really liked some of the art on the walls, especially some great travel photos that were for sale. The sampler flight (5 of their own beers in 5 ounce pours for $7) is a fabulous deal, and great for helping you find your favorite. I liked that you could choose your five or give your server a direction like "A little of everything but I don't really like hops." My favorite was the Noäle Holiday Ale, which was chocolate and delicious and, unfortunately is only available during the holidays so I guess I need to get my fill now! To me, the most impressive thing is that many of their beers are USDA Organic. That's impressive and the type of business I'm happy to support. On the other hand, the food was a little disappointing. I got a mac and cheese special. While the description sounded great, the mac and cheese itself was kind of dry. I would have expected it to be creamier. The flavor was good (it had bacon! hard to go wrong with bacon!) but it was just a little dry. The waitress offered to bring me something else, but I finished it, so I really can't complain. My friend had a burger and said it was good, although she ordered it medium and it was definitely closer to medium-rare or rare. Again, she finished it before I got to try a bite, so it couldn't have been too bad! I was especially surprised to see many families with young children. I guess I don't think of a brewery as a place for kids, but with menu items like burgers and mac & cheese I guess it's a place everyone can enjoy. Overall, I was on the fence between 3 stars and 4 stars because the food was disappointing but give me a few affordable, organic, local beers and a good time, how could I not say "Yay, I'm a fan"?

The food is pretty good, the service is exceptional, and the menu has some good selections. Highly recommend getting the spinach artichoke dip. But I was shocked that it comes with tortilla chips instead of warm pita bread. My server was nice enough to bring me some pita bread. Highly recommend that they change this! The tortilla chips just don't do it justice. We came on a busy night but got seated within 5 min or so. Big tv screens everywhere. Nice artwork on the wall. My only complaint is that it's a bit too loud although I guess that's to be expected with a restaurant that size. Love love love that they have a parking lot out back! I never would have guessed that based on the front side being on Lake City Way but I read the reviews on Yelp before coming here and was happily surprised to find out about the huge free lot out back. Prices on the menu are pretty reasonable except I felt that the salads were much pricier than anything else on the menu. Oh and they give you an Elliott Bay Brewery sticker with the bill.

Party of 4 - EVERYONE had a problem with their order. Do NOT order the ahi taco if you're actually wanting a taco. It's a large tortilla (burrito sized). My fries were ok but not amazing.

Maybe I've been spoiled on amazing Kansas City breweries... I don't know... But this place left a lot to be desired and their patio was horrible. That could be due to the fact that it rains allllll the time in Seattle. I don't know. Service was fine... Average beer recommendation. But overall... Very blah

The have a large number of in-house and 3rd party beers on tap and few good cider sections too. But be prepared for a wait - even on a Thursday night. I had the taco salad and it pretty satisfying. Their tiramisu portions are huge and you can easily share.

My night at Elliott Bay Brewery was quite the pleasant experience. The decor is nice, the layout is spacious, the beer is great, and the food is generally better than most pubs or sports bars. I had the Buffalo Chicken BLT salad and thought it was a B-minus. Feedback from others at my table was the Sloppy Joe was excellent and the Pastrami Dip was amazing. For drinks, I had the Lake City IPA and loved it!! There are some really great beers on their list so it's hard to go wrong! Overall, I really enjoyed the night at EEB and will definitely return.

I keep putting off rating this place. I don't know why but I want to make sure it's good, solidly. We came for Mother's Day, not as packed as everyone else in the city I assume! This was probably my third or fourth visit. we ordered five samples of beer, one of the beers was disgusting... It was called the barrel 1000. Usually when something says barrel aged, I assume that it is a barrel aged whiskey. Not in this case. It was a sour beer. It was absolutely the most disgusting and I have ever had!!!! I asked the waiter if we could trade it out for something different, he obliged. That was nice! Everything that we tried other than the barrel 1000, was good. My husband and I both got a totally different beer that we didn't even try on the sample of. They do have quality beers. Now onto the food. I ordered a teriyaki turkey burger. It was fantastic. Not that you could never go wrong with a turkey burger! My father-in-law got the pulled pork sandwich. I did try it and it was very bland. There was really no barbecue sauce on it at all. It was basically a pile of pork on a bun. It definitely, 100%, needed some sauce!!!!! Overall the experience it was good. We kind of had to flag the waiter down a few times. And, he seemed a little pushy about us ordering food. We did sit in the bar, but to me and felt like he wanted to keep turning the tables. We wanted to drink and socialize, and then eventually eat dinner.... With out feeling the pressure.

It's just like The Ram or any other "neighbourhood" brewery/ale house, only the food quality is slightly better. They have a solid beer selection, so if you are looking for a casual place to go, I would recommend here. They have a large parking lot in the back, which you cannot access from Lake City Way. All in all, I wasn't "wow"d by the service or food the couple of times I went, but I am not going to write it off because it is easy and convenient. I prefer going here over the Ram ANY DAY however, if that helps.

The food here has been really hit and miss for me. I've had better luck with their specials, when they haven't run out of them, than I have had with their regular menu. The one thing on their menu I REALLY liked was the sloppy Joe. I found the Italian club dry as a bone. Just so dry. The tofu sandwich sounds like it has a lot of flavor, but was not as interesting as it sounded. I prefer Ram, as they are similar joints, and their food is generally better seasoned. The kids like it, and call it "the nacho place" after the nachos that are on the kids menu. It's a loud space, so it's very comfortable bringing your kids here and not worrying how much noise you make. I would not call this an intimate date spot. I'm sure we'll be back, but not as regulars.

This place is hit or miss for me. I'm talking strictly food here not beers. The breakfast sandwich served only during brunch on weekends is seriously the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. I thought it sounded kind of weird on the menu, so many meats on one sandwich but oh man, I can't get enough, I love it. I usually split it with someone cause it's that huge. Just thinking about it is making me hungry it's fantastic. There fish tacos are good too, but I had a burger there and I dunno it was ok. I had the Italian sandwich and it sounded so good on paper and then it was straight up gross. My mom had the philly and that looked nasty too. I think I don't like there buns. I don't know, I would go for brunch you guys, that's where it's at. I do love the Art they feature from local artists that's really cool

Ahhh, way to make me miss my old hood! Elliott Bay is right in the heart of Lake City (LCW 4 lyfe, yo!) and features good food, friendly service and a cider sampling flight. How could I not be in love? When we went we were even seated in a room that featured a ton of video game inspired art. Our table of three shared some delicious mini corn dogs to start the meal -- so damn good. I had the pimento-peno burger, my boyfriend had the cherry stout BBQ elk burger and my friend had the grilled cheese special of the month... we traded bites around, and everything was tasty. For dessert we went with their brownie sundae, which had like 7 scoops of their delicious ice cream and was easily decimated. If I still lived nearby, this is definitely the type of place I could be a regular at.

What a difference a year and a half makes. The good: * Printed beer lists! Finally! And with useful information like ABV and IBU, as well as an "up next" listing on some of the limited beers so you know what's coming if the keg blows * The new downstairs bar/waiting area is great. A little loud, but you can go down and have a beer while you wait for your table * The food (with one caveat) is still quite good. They're maybe a little generous with their burger temps (I asked for med. rare, got rare), but the meat is quality and the toppings are great. The bad: * Still no paprika seasoning on the "seasoned" fries. I know they have paprika in-house because my wife got some on the fajita salad. Why they can't manage to get it onto the fries I guess we'll never know * Parking is horrible. Street parking in front is minimal. The lot in back is way too small for the restaurant's capacity. While you can park in the parking lot next door, there are signs indicating violators will be towed but no sign indicating whether or not Elliott Bay parking is allowed or is a violation. * Some seating locations are very, very loud. They're right underneath speakers, and for some reason they were playing very loud club music during an early Friday evening dinner. This isn't a dance club. Why are they playing dance music? We apparently weren't the only ones annoyed, because halfway through dinner the volume was drastically reduced. The weird: * The Virgil session beer is above 5.0% ABV. While 5.1% is technically acceptable by The Brewer Association as a session, it really should be less than 4.5% ABV. When there are other non-"session" beers on the list below the ABV of the "session", they're doing something wrong. By comparison, other local breweries like Hi-Fi have made session beers as low as 3.0% ABV, which to me is about perfect for a session. But then I'm probably in the minority who prefers tasty, low-alcohol beers so I can drink more of them without getting drunk. I've given up on ever getting seasoned fries, so if they could satisfactorily solve their parking issue I would feel comfortable finally giving a full 5 stars.

The beer and the food were both awesome. They had a wide selection and quite a few IPAs which made me happy. We had a brewers burger and the public house dip. Both were awesome. The public house dip was a different take on a french dip, it had pastrami but it was super delicious and HUGE. The atmosphere was great. Awesome place to catch a game and have a brew. We will be back. Also there is street parking and additional brewery parking which was convenient.

So I thought I already reviewed the wonderful Elliot, but yelp wants me to review it again, so I will. We love this place. The food, the staff, (Grant and Christi for the win!) the selection of local craft beers (lots. Lots of beer)band even the music selection. They have a great rotating specials menu which try's lots of different dishes with their own twist. The Elliot is the brewpub lake city needs and deserves.

I love having this place as an after-work dinner option or weekday lunch. Lake City greatly benefits from having this business here. Hopefully more business will follow and a real downtown revitalization happens. The burgers are super decent and the prices are as well.

After craving for burger for a week plus, I decided to get one here with a beer. It was a Saturday evening. I didn't think I can wait anymore for a burger. I walked in here after an informational meeting next door in a coffee shop. There are two areas you can sit. The bar area, you don't have to wait, you just have to find your own spot. The seating area with booths, you need to wait. I just walked up to an empty spot and sat down. Immediately, the staff came by and helped me with my beer. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries (they have a few options like regular fries, coleslaw, Asian veggie stir fry, etc) The burger was about medium rare. However, it was just not a juicy burger. I loved the sweet potato fries thou. There are just so many options for beer. And, the staff who helped me just seem to be able to educate me a bit about beer. I really appreciate. I'd like to go back again and try different beer one of those days since I was only able to have one beer that night.

One of my neighborhood faves, can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! + Great nachos, they are consistently and incredibly delicious. Huge portions, I can barely finish the "half" order + Yummy elk burger dripping with grilled onions + Ginormous cod fish and chips, super juicy and crunchy + Amazing beer floats, get the one with chocolate chip ice cream + Lots of delicious beers to choose from, and the servers generally have great recs - The only thing I've ever not liked here is the smoked salmon appetizer. Dry, tasteless, and barely salvageable by the sauce. Definitely will never order that again. Word of advice: Call ahead to see how long the wait will be. Some days are crazy!

I seldom give 5 star reviews but Elliot bay has earned it in my opinion. Elliot Bay on Lake City Way has become our go to watering hole. Not only for some random debauchery, but also for a family dinner out. The establishment carters not only to those having a blast on a night out but also to families. The beer selection is fantastic, with more than 30 micros, both house brewed and guess brews on tap. The food is excellent, We have never had a bad meal there. The Cuban Sandwich is just awesome. Don't forget the get a side of their chipotle aioli. They have rotating chilis and soups, must of which are fantastic. The place is big and it can get loud. Also prepare to wait for a seat if you arrive during typical restaurant rush hours. Having to wait for a seat is just a sign of a good place to eat. Service has always been top notch, prices are very reasonable.

This is a great, family-friendly place. Lots of beers on tap and a large (and loud) wide-open space. What is even better is the food is better than what I would expect from a place like this. I've tried a few of the burgers and they are all prepared very well and looking to go back again.

I LOVE Elliot Bay. It is one of my favorite places to go. I have never had anything but amazing food here, and the beer selection is huge. The best kept secret is weekend brunch!! It is DELICIOUS and apparently no one knows about it because there is never anyone there! That's right NO WAIT FOR BRUNCH. That basically can't be said about any other decent place in Seattle. GO HERE. You won't be disappointed.

I really like this place. They are family-friendly, and group-friendly. Their delicious burgers are my go-to, but I've loved everything I've ordered here except for the nachos (not a good chip to topping ratio IMO).

I love this place. It's a bar that I can bring my baby to, it's huge so seating isn't usually an issue, and the beer is wonderful! Also the food is great. The burgers and sandwiches are great but when I was on a diet I was able to get soup and salad that were both delicious. I recommend the ground mustard brussel sprouts if they're on the menu.

Oh my glob, I love Elliott Bay. Always has ciders on tap, staples and some rotating. Awesome food menu and there's always a new monthly special themed menu to accompany. They'll make almost anything they can into gluten-free upon request, even if it's not explicitly labeled so. Service has been consistently good, regardless if seated inside or out, at the bar or not, etc. One of my only regrets the last time I moved out of the immediate area was that I was no longer in walking distance of this place, because it's a true favorite!

I think I enjoy the beer a little more than the food, but I'm not saying the food is disappointing. My friend and I went here the other night and I was in the mood to be a kid and ordered the chicken strips with fries while she got the BBQ burger. We both cleaned our plates. The beers were also good. I had the Hop Von Boorian and she had a red IPA I think. We had good things to say about each. My only criticism is that it took a long time to order. We were sitting at the bar and the bartender wasn't really very busy. He also lacked some personality. Eh...I'd still go back.

This place was awesome!!! We had the happy hour lamb sliders and the quesadilla and they were awesome! Then we had the shells in butter and my husband got the no doubt stout burger with an egg and loved it! I got the elk burger and oh my gosh!!! Definitely recommend this place!!! Beer and cider were okay, not really our type but still good! Had a blast!

Elliott Bay is one of my favorite neighborhood joints to hang out with some friends, and it's right down the street from my house! On the outside, it doesn't look too impressive. Once you step inside the restaurant, you'll be surprised at the amount of space and tables there are. It's huge! It's a perfect place for large groups, and there are monitors by the bars to watch games on TV. Don't be surprised to find some kids hanging out here with the parents. This place is loud, packed on weekends, and you will expect to wait for up to an hour for a table. There is a decent selection of beer including their own local brews. Their menu has a wide selection. I personally enjoy their burgers, nachos and fish and chips. The large nachos is a decent size with all the good stuff, and can be shared with several people. The service has always been friendly every time I came here. I'm not a huge fan of Lake City but I'm definitely a fan of Elliott Bay!

I have eaten here for years and it is always excellent. From the first bite I ever had to date, they have had the best burger in Seattle. All I have to say is... Elk Burger! Come hungry leave dumbfounded.

My dad was in town so we decided to take him out to a nice local place on Saturday night. The service was HORRIBLE. I don't understand why wait staff won't write down orders, because my of course was wrong. And then I still never got part of my order. We had to ask for beverages to be filled. The food was not that wonderful. I do not plan on going back.

Good eats and drinks. I am mainly fond of the beers but find myself diggin' into some of the the food as well. I have had some burgers, fish n chips, salads, and the gyro pita. The food spans 3-4 stars, service has always been 5 stars, and ambiance is what to expect for a public house. When this a wait, the downstairs beer room is a great place to wait. I never hesitate to enjoy a meal and some drinks here at elliott bay LCW.

Very nice, large space for having a meal and some good craft beer. It was kind of a madhouse because of all the college football games on TV but even with it being busy, our service was prompt and friendly. I've only been here once but will return for sure because any of their burgers can have a veggie burger substituted. And they different options for burger styles is really great! I had the Hawaii 5-0 I think it was called with pineapple and teriyaki sauce and it was excellent! I'll be returning to this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cool space to hang with friends and drink microbrews that aren't overpriced!

All the food I have had is good and great beer selection. It is a welcome addition to the Lake City Neighborhood. The biggest annoyance factor is it can get really loud/busy.

We ended up here when Aloha Ramen across the street wasn't open, because my sister had been to their West Seattle location and raved about the fish and chips. They were busy but not crowded on a Saturday afternoon, and there's plenty of space for large parties as well as TVs to watch various sporting events if one is into such things. Being cold, we both ordered tea, but I recall a pretty varied drink list and quite a number of beer options for fans of the other kind of brews. We ordered the fish and chips which was an enormous plate of pretty good fish, all right fries, and tasty coleslaw. The Croque Madame was equally huge (and kind of messy as a result) and fairly good but doesn't stack up to the likes of Cafe Presse. There are a few other interesting menu options, including an elk burger that I'd be willing to come back and try. Pricewise, it isn't budget dining but for the quantity and quality, the prices are appropriate and our server was mostly on top of things. It took a little longer than we would've liked to get the check, but not so long as to put a damper on the overall experience. They have a parking lot, although we found street parking a block away without much difficulty.

We have been eating at the various Elliott Bays for the last 12ish years. We have loved them. The food and beer, especially at the W. Seattle location, was always top notch. We came here for a family birthday meal. The space is very large and can accommodate numerous large parties. The beer is still very solid and they have upped the selection size. I ordered the fish and chips. I found them to be a little oily (not cooked at the correct temperature) and bland. The slaw that came with the dish was quite good. My wife had nachos and a salad. Both were just average. Our server was very good. She was friendly and interactive. Based on all my past good experiences with EBB, I will assume the food was having an off night and be back to check it out.

Elliot Bay is one busy place. I avoid it on the weekends because of the crowds. The high ceiling makes for a loud and echo-like environment when busy so don't go here for a quiet date. They have good vegetarian options and gluten free buns are available on their burgers and sandwiches. And of course a lot of beer on tap.

This place is cool inside, like a log cabin. I ate so many mini corndogs that we set the new record here...152 corndogs in one sitting. If you break that record your whole tab is free (little secret). Overall...great food and beer and I will come again

From a vegetarian perspective, this is one of the best pubs for finding tofu, veggie burgers, salads, and a great selection of veggie side dishes. Their veggie burger is the best I have ever had, good enough to make a driving detour so we can swing by here after hikes. What's great is that every burger can be made into a veggie burger with simply subbing a veggie patty, and that really opens up the world of veggies burgers for someone who has otherwise felt confined by lack of options in other pubs and restaurants. Service is also fast and the patio is enjoyable for summer days.On our hit-list for the next visit- the stout brownie!

Tad expensive for what they serve if you aren't getting alcohol (and we never do), but the food is pretty good. It's also very loud, being a pub and all, but don't expect to have much conversation.

Very nice to have a place like this in Lake City. Open, welcoming, great ambiance. Not a "sports bar" but TVs for catching the games are spread around the rooms. We ordered a beer each (very good selection and reasonably priced at $5 each) and clams for appetizers... tasty! Not sure what the boy ordered for food but I had the "Goddess Salad" with blackened tuna which came highly recommended by the server. The tuna was soooo salty to the point where you couldn't taste the fish and the cheese on the salad was just weird. For $17 I wasn't impressed. The total bill (2 beers, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees) came to over $60 so I didn't think it was a great value. We will definitely go back though, and try some of the other items on the menu. Brunch menu looks legit.

We came with 20 adults and kids for a family gathering. I called ahead and they were friendly and inviting on the phone. They called me the day of to see if we were still planning on coming, then they were friendly and accommodating when we arrived. The service was excellent and the food and beverages were great. Very impressed! We will definitely be going back!!

What a nice surprise! Family friendly, food better than expected (better than the Ram), really good milk shakes and weekend brunch. The breakfast burrito with chorizo is delicious and huge! Also, try their Lake City IPA.

My top 'hood choice. The question is how did we survive so long without them? We in the Lake City/Matthew's Beach/Olympic Hills/Cedar Park neighborhood were devoid of a quality food joint that we could take the family to. Breakfast (on the weekends), lunch or dinner- Elliot Bay is just the ticket. Loads of beer options on tap: their own, rotating guest beers, ciders, lambics, and they always have a cask ale or two (which is often Boundary Bay IPA). Their wine is reasonable and decent. There are numerous great options for food, though my favorite are the burgers. You can interchange turkey or mushroom for any of their standard options. They also have a fabulous elk burger. The bacon chutney/jam that tops the Public House burger is drool worthy, and hell, if that is not juicy enough, you can top it with a fried egg. All at a reasonable price. For brunch (served on the weekends) they have a carefully curated menu. The portions are kind of ridiculous on many of the items, so they can be shared if you are not the most ravenous of diners. Top picks: public house breakfast, breakfast club sandwich, and malted blueberry banana pancakes (my daughter and I get two meals each out of the later). Thank you Elliot Bay and the awesome team that keeps the place running. Brandy (Brandi?) you are a welcome sight first thing in the morning- thanks for taking such good care of us when we stumble in on the weekends.

My boyfriend and I decided to try Elliot Bay out after driving past it a few times (very inviting exterior!). We were definitely glad we tried it out and will be back! I will be bringing my family here after graduation next weekend!! The food was delicious and we want to come back and try the Elk burger and more beers and ciders :) The atmosphere is really comfortable and it wasn't crowded at all when we were there. Can't wait to go back!

I want to give EBPB a better rating, but I just don't have it in me. My wife and I went for dinner. The food options are pretty good, I had the "No Doubt Stout BBQ Burger" while my wife had a Cuban. The BBQ sauce was amazing, they should bottle it and sell it on the shelves. That sadly was the high point. The outside of the burger was charred while the inside was as pink as my 12 year old daughter's room. They have a lot of beer selections and would love to give them the thumbs up in that category....but they are so IPA heavy (At the time they had at least 7 IPAs on tap), us non IPA drinkers have little selection. Even the stuff called "Ale" and "Lager" was so very near an IPA. As previous reviewers stated, the atmosphere is loud and not very relaxing. We were lucky to find a couple stools at the bar instead of waiting for 40 minutes for a table. The entire restaurant is very loud, and it isn't helped by the staff walking through the bar yelling "Dufrane, part of two" (bonus points for you if you got that reference) every five minutes. So close to being awesome....but just enough wrong to be not awesome.

The fact that the incredibly mediocre Elliott Bay Public House & Brewery continues to have unbearable waits a year after its opening, is a testament to just how lacking NE Seattle around Lake City was for a decent family restaurant. Unfortunately the neighborhood is still waiting. Over the past year I have been to the Elliott Bay Public House & Brewery (good god, could they have picked a longer name???) four times, twice for dinner and twice to hang out in the bar. Each time I have walked away completely underwhelmed. Let's start with the restaurant itself. When you first walk in, you can't help but be impressed by the beautiful birch colored knotty wood that is used throughout. Unfortunately, that wood also creates an incredibly noisy environment, with every conversation throughout the restaurant bouncing off the wood creating a din that essentially makes it impossible to hold a normal conversation at a table. You have to speak louder than normal, thereby adding to the overall effect. It is not a relaxing environment. There is also nothing relaxing about the wood construction of the booths, chairs or bar stools. Maybe cushions would help, but of course there are no cushions. The entire décor is cold and stiff. When I go out for dinner I want to be comfortable and it is simply impossible at this restaurant. The food at the Elliot Bay Brew Pub is strictly middle-of-the-road pub grub. On my most recent visit I had the Cherry Stout BBQ Elk Burger which is listed on the menu as a "House Favorite". It was gamey and bland (although the BBQ sauce was good). My boy had the Luna Weizen Calamari - an appetizer - as his entrée and enjoyed it. My wife had the Luna Weizen Fish & Chips which were greasy. My daughter had the Elliott Bay Cobb Salad. She ordered it without bacon, but it was brought to the table with bacon. The server was apologetic, but servers who insist on memorizing an order and then get it wrong, is increasingly becoming a pet peeve of mine. My previous attempts eating at Elliot Bay were no more impressive. The fries are not fresh cut at the restaurant so they taste like generic frozen fries and the other dishes are simply ordinary. So what is extraordinary, the beer? The Elliot Bay Brew Pub features seven year round beers and a ton of seasonal and guest beers. The bartenders are happy to provide samples. Still, despite the wide assortment, I've never really found a beer that I genuinely love and have switched to drinking ciders, which Elliot Bay has a nice selection of. I'd rather visit The Beer Authority just down the street (review coming - yelp.com/biz/the-beer-au… ) or the Wedgwood Ale House, which despite my frustrations has a decent selection of rotating beers on tap and fantastic hand cut fries (see my review: yelp.com/biz/wedgwood-al… ). If Yelp allowed half stars, the Elliot Bay Brewery might qualify at a 2.5 star review. But, since that's not an option, I have to round down because I after multiple attempts at embracing this restaurant, I just feel like I'm done. There are too many other options around town to continue paying for mediocre meals, uncomfortable seating and uninspiring beer. Health Department Report When possible I've decided to add records from the King County Department of Public Health to my restaurant reviews because most people don't even know these records are available. The most recent health department report (12/12/2012) is discouraging with the restaurant scoring 46 points. Violations included improper hot and cold holding temperatures and food contact surfaces not maintained clean and sanitized. See the entire report here: 1.usa.gov/Z2EP0s . More information on what the scores mean here: 1.usa.gov/R2 .

I love love love coming here after a long day. It's hard for me not to order my usual Pilot Light and the Chicken Fajita Salad. Yum! I always ask what the chili and soup of the day are and often choose one as a starter. My fiancé and I always receive great service and it didn't take long for the staff to start recognizing us as regulars. A few waitresses and waiters even know our regular orders! It's a pretty fantastic feeling to walk into this place and feel like we are in great hands. Whenever someone wants to get together this place is always one of my top suggestions. While I recommend my usual order, my partner would say that the green chili burger or cod tacos, and the Lake City Way IPA are good choices too.

Fish and chips were good along with the fries. Chili is god but really spicy!!! The rueben was good. The service is were I say it lacked a little. Ran out of water twice which I hate!!! I would almost give it a 4 star if there was better service.

I always get a great meal here, the service at the bar top is better than some high end places I go to. Their beer selection has something for everyone, including some great ciders and Crater Lake root beer on draft for the kiddies- can I hear a big hooray for root beer floats? Minus one star for the wait which can be upwards of 45 min at times and for the kitchen getting overwhelmed and sending out improperly cooked food. Blue rare does not equal med/well. But our server was quick to replace the burger and comp out the undercooked one. I really enjoy my time here!

Never been here but so happy to discover an awesome place on Lake City Way! The waiter was super attentive. He asked us if we were to share our food and we said yes. She the food got on the table they are already divided! Super sweet of the kitchen and staff! Elk burger was really good! It taste like in between lamp and beef. We also had the fish and chips, super good! I order the raspberry beer thingy, it came out as $8.5! Oops. A little pricy for what I got. Well, why do I know :P

  • Brian K.

The beer and cider selection alone is worth coming here for. Throw in the food, and the dessert, you'll be back every night. It gets a bit busy each evening, but they have a downstairs area with beer and games while you wait. A large private lot for parking in the back, which is almost unheard of for Lake City Way NE.

  • Zach T.

Great place to grab a pint and a burger. Atmosphere feels like a Red Robin -- parents will appreciate that their potentially loud kids will not be noticeable over the overall noise level of the restaurant. This place would get five stars if their food was a bit better. I tend to stick to the BBQ burger which is good, though have been disappointed by items like the gyro and french dip. A couple of the servers are top notch -- super attentive, recommending great apps/entrees, and of course the "revolution" draft beer for those IPA fans.

I had no idea there was an Elliot bay on lake city. I had the simplest of sandwiches, the turkey bacon Swiss on sourdough bread, but let me tell you that sandwich was amazing! Something about it was elevated about the rest of the other turkey sandwiches around town! And try the ciders they are absolutely tasteful! RC was the best! Give that guy a raise!

The food there is pretty good. If The Ram is too crowded, then go to that place. The prices are reasonable. The only thing that they don't have is a wide variety of hard liquor. It's a good place to watch a Seahawk game. It has the right amount of lighting.

Had a great time with some friends the other evening at Elliott Bay. We were seated right away by a very friendly hostess. We ordered some beer and were impressed with what we chose. For our second round, I was sad that they didn't have a few of the beers on tap that I wanted. Not sure why they were listed as available if they weren't. Other than that though, we had a great time and the food was delicious. I can't wait to go back again. They have all different beers for different palates.

I love this place, it's a regular stop for my wife and I. The service is always fantastic - the staff are very friendly and enthusiastic about helping customers. The PUB is very well managed with consistency, the staff keep the restaurant clean despite how busy they usually are. They have a great selection of beers on tap that rotate frequently. Growlers are available and offer discounts on Mondays. The burgers are very good, fish and chips are awesome. The breakfast is also good which is only served on weekends. They also have a monthly rotating menu which usually has something fun and tasty on it. My only complaint is I'd like to see more healthier food options with smaller portions, but you can always share an entree with someone. This place is just what Lake City needed. Go Elliot Bay PUB, keep it up!!!

I live near this brewery and it's a frequent stop for me. So far, I have enjoyed everything I have eaten off the menu. The burgers are always delicious. If there is a problem with the food, which has only happened once or twice (and been minor), the staff is happy to fix it. The rotating specials are great as well. Overall, an excellent experience. And try the beers!

Went here last night. Knew it would be busy since it was a Friday night, the weather was nice & they have only been open for 2 weeks. I have previously been to their Burien & West Seattle locations & was already a huge fan of their beer & food. Checked in with the hostess at 6pm and was informed it would be a 45 minute wait. Squeezed into the bar to order a beer to drink while waiting. Took a little while to just get a beer. Hubby got the Demolition IPA & I got the Highline IPA. Both excellent. Took them to the "high chair area" & just hung out. Our table was ready in exactly 45 minutes! ( or 2 beers each if you want to count time that way) We ordered an app of calamari to share. Pretty good, although they could have used a bit more seasoning. I ordered their Cod Tacos. They serve them with a single tortilla. They should be served with 2 or they should put the fish on the bottom and the "slaw" on the top. The tortilla completely fell apart in my hands. Asked for a second tortilla for my second taco & was charged an extra $1. Whatev...Hubby ordered the steamer clams but was informed they were out. :( He opted for the Cuban sandwich instead. I had it last month at the West Seattle location and it was twice the size of the one he received last night. :( Again, whatev.... A couple other friends ran into us & joined us at our table after we had ordered. The waitress added their food and drinks to our bill without asking if it would be one check. We then had to ask her to separate the bill & she messed it up. Luckily they are good friends & I had cash to give them to pay for my entree that was added to their bill. Lots of families with kids eating there & it is pretty loud. If you are looking for a romantic or relaxing dinner out this probably isn't the place for you. It might be quieter on a weekday night or for lunch. Another minor "pet peeve" the staff don't wear uniforms of anything that clearly identifies them as staff. A solid color "polo" shirt for all waitstaff with an EBB logo should be worn. Note: Parking lot direction is weird. Entrance is the North driveway & exit is the South driveway. Had to park in the Bartells lot. The hostess stand is on the Lake City Ave side of the restaurant.

The food is great, the place is clean, fun and wow- thats alot of beers to choose from! Always a wait for a table, but never more than 10 minutes. Oh and the best part of me?: I can have any burger with a turkey burger or mushroom, thank you for providing the options!

Really disappointed this visit. This used to be one of my favorite places in lake city. Now the food is awful. Ordered my usual Cubano and received the blandest sandwich ever. I have had this multiple times before. Literally took 3 bites of my sandwich and couldnt eat any more. The server asked if she could box my sandwich and I said no I didn't like it. The sandwich was still on my bill. My friends didnt want to go there but did at my request. I felt like an ass on requesting going there. We orderesd two hop von borens which I loved in past. Tasted like the end of or a bad keg. Hope they can get their act together.

Pros: - It's nice to have a "higher end" dining option in lake city w/ a bar to hang out in that isn't divey - Good service & kid friendly - Decent food & gluten free options (The sweet potato fries were yummy) Cons: - Wait time...since this is the only restaurant of it's kind in LC, all the people flock to it - Basic menu...burgers n salad...nothing intriquing...a little on the pricer side for what it is

The food and the atmosphere are really good but the service was so bad that it detracted from the experience. Our waiter was utterly apathetic about presence from the moment we sat down and it never really improved from there. I had to ask three separate times for a glass of water, I asked that my burger be served without the aioli (and of course it was served with an enormous amount right on top of the burger) and we sat for a good 20 minutes after we were clearly done eating waiting for the check. I always tip well but this guy definitely didn't earn it.

Great time. Spent my birthday here with friends earlier this year and we had never been before. Came in after a Seahawks game to live Bavarian music and a very welcoming staff. One of the better spots I've been to in a long time. In an area full of dive bars and questionable food choices, this really stood out. Fantastic sandwiches and unbelievable beer options. Well done everybody on a great operation.

I've been back now several times for lunch, take-out and mostly for Seahawks games. This place is Awesome! TONS of seating and Televisions for the sports minded customer, or take the whole family kids included, for lunch or dinner! My friend and I had a Great Time watching the Seahawks win the SuperBowl there earlier this year. The Food is excellent. ***So Nice to find a pub/restaurant that has an Excellent menu using Very High quality ingredients.

Brought our family to this restaurant for some delicious pub food... Unfortunately that isn't what we got. Out of the four of our orders, two orders had to be sent back for ice cold fries, one order had to request cheese and pepper that was on the menu but not on the food. The fourth order was sent back entirely. The ahi tuna "tacos" were served in large flour tortillas. Had I or the other member of our party who ordered this had known, we wouldn't have ordered this item. On the positive, the food that was sent back was promptly replaced, the service of our waitress, Caitlin, the understanding of the manager, Grant, and the alcohol was fantastic. Come here to drink, but if you're a foodie, ask a lot of questions before ordering your meal. Overall 2.5 out of 5, rolled to a 3 for service.

Just recently found out about Elliot Bay from some friends and cannot believe this has been hidden from me from so long! Hands down one of the best places to eat in Lake City. Although it gets crazy Fri/Sat nights, it is well worth the wait as they have a fantastic selection of beers and the food is lipsmackin! Our party ordered the Italian Club Sandwich w/Cilantro Coleslaw (a nice spin off of the typical coleslaw and the cilantro added a nice hint of flavor), the Cuban Sandwich, and the Croque Madame (yum, just a warning- like the menu lists, it's really cheesy!) Pros: lots of parking, great service, awesome selection of beers, and tasty food Cons: gets pretty busy and noisy. Will definitely come again!

This has become my favorite place in the Seattle area when I'm looking for half a great beer, iced tea and spiced ahi tacos with fries and five kinds of dipping sauce. My girlfriend and I tend to come here on Sunday nights, and she obviously understands at this point that it's a chance for me to continue watching Sunday Night Football. One of this place's charms is the set of at least a dozen large TVs along all the south-facing walls. The best part, though, is the dips: chipotle aoli, barbecue, tartar sauce and honey mustard. I allow myself to eat fries once a week, and I'm rewarded well here. The one ding on this place is its unpredictability, in terms of both clientele and wait time. We've arrived for dinner some nights and have been seated right away. Other Sunday nights, we've had to wait for nearly 30 minutes (much longer than the hostess had predicted). I don't mind sitting near big families with tons of kids or muscleheads applauding every play in a game, but I never know which of those crowds I'm going to experience when I come here. I suppose that's evidence that they get a diverse crowd.

What a great date night dinner! The hubby and I decided to give it a try as we had a gift card and had never been. It was a rare kid free night and we weren't sorry this was our choice! Fun atmosphere, games playing on all the screens. We were a little worried when we saw how crowded the parking lot was but our worries were soon laid to rest when we were greeted then seated almost immediately by a cheerful host. Once seated we were greeted right away by one of the nicest most cheerful waiters I've ever come across...I wish I knew his name! Tall Asian with a goatee ring any bells? Anyway, he was awesome. He took our drink orders and throughout our evening checked on us often, topped our sodas off regularly, and kept his cheerful demeanor the entire time. Now to the food: Appetizer- bacon and roasted corn fritters with ranch; delicious! Fried bits of heaven they were. My dinner-the public house dip; superb! Done to perfection, loaded with pastrami, sauteed onions and mushrooms and gooey cheese, two dipping options the traditional au jus and the blue cheese horseradish. Both wonderful with this sandwich. Hubby's dinner-the fish and chips; the best we'd ever tasted! Beer battered fish...huge pieces fried to perfection with slaw and their delicious fries on the side. Yes, we will be back soon!

Great food, great selection of beer, great service. It doesn't get much better than this. I had the philly cheese steak, substituted american cheese for cheddar and added mushrooms and bell peppers. I had the cilantro lime slaw as a side and it was awesome. Not too heavy on the mayo, very light. I had the pumpkin beer, but I did take the last of it when I bought a growler. Our server said that they should get more in, its on par with Elysian pumpkin beers. My husband had the Reuben and loved it. The sweet potato fries are and extra 1.50 and I wouldn't recommend spending the extra money for them. This location is new and was very busy at 6pm on a Saturday when we left. We got there at 430 and there was still room at the bar and looked like no wait. They do have a happy hour, but only have 4 or 5 food options.

Well sad to say this place has gone downhill! I ordered the nachos a full order and they are the worst nachos I've ever had! Cheese not melted hardly any meat and the flavor was terrible. I did have a milkshake and it wasn't bad but I haven't been this disappointed in a meal in a long time. Oh and the corn dogs aren't bad but anything deep fried is good. I will not be returning to this place.

Our food came out super fast! Love the rotating taps. Friendly service and a fun environment. Would recommend this place for a chill date night.

Amazing food! This is seriously one of my favorite places to eat. I get the gyro nearly every time, but when I do switch it up I'm still utterly satisfied. Their homemade rootbeer is also delicious! I also enjoy the atmosphere and the changing local art displayed on the walls. The service has been good all but once-out of like 12 times lol. It's well worth a visit!!!

I'm pleased to report that they have added a printed beer list! I'm happy the restaurant took the customers' suggestions and had one made. It truly made the experience of eating and drinking here much easier and more pleasant. No more craning my neck around to look at the bar or having to get up to go look! I had the California Avenue burger last night with a chicken breast subbed in and it was absolutely delicious. Yummy guacamole, Swiss, and crispy, thick bacon with mayo on the side. I've decided chicken is the way to go at Elliott Bay. Their sweet potato fries are great. ($1.50 to substitute in for normal fries) Get the spicy chipotle dipping sauce! The service can widely vary. I've had a server a few times who is very nice and friendly and efficient and a couple other servers who are also good. I have had a not very good experience with a different server who was downright hostile though. It was really too bad because I came with a group of people who hadn't visited this location yet and they left with a not so great impression. This visit the service was friendly and efficient. I got a LCW sticker with my bill, too! Now to figure out where to put it...

Wonderful place. Very good food. Awesome staff. Parking lot is often full. Go early if you want good parking. The Cuban is great! Did not like their pancakes.. too extremely sweet. They have lots of seating. It can be kind of loud when its very busy so would not suggest it if you wanna talk over loudness when its busy. Its Great when its quiet

Big Big beer selection, not just their owns, which is appreciated. Food is solid. But, standard brew house atmosphere and tons of families and kids. Very loud. So loud you can't hear the terrible late 70's rock they're playing. So, now I don't know if that is a good or bad thing.

I am so happy Elliot Bay Brewery put in this Lake City location. They have great and interesting food, a huge selection of beer on tap, and a fantastic wait staff. They are almost always busy, but it is normally not a long wait for a table. The parking is usually fine, too. If you ever have trouble deciding what to order, just ask your server. They are knowledgeable and personable. I like the Pub Burger with an egg, and the coleslaw, but the pulled-pork is also fantastic. They also have a great kids menu. We'll be coming here as long as they are in Lake City

"You HAVE to try the Cherry Ketchup." ... I don't like ketchup. Then, I heard that there were mini corn dogs involved with this travesty called Cherry Ketchup. And, as most can gather from reading my reviews, I cannot say no to a wiener in any form. Especially corn dog form, because I have such fond childhood memories of perfectly deep fried, huge, over-battered and perfectly crispy fair corn dogs that I have not been able to ever find anywhere. And come on, mini anything is kitschy and cute. I've been wanting to come in here for a while now. It's been too packed the last couple times, but I finally got to go this last weekend, and I was pretty happy with the experience. I wasn't uber impressed with the beer list, nor was I super impressed with the house brew that I tried. So unimpressed, the name escapes me. I was happy with the Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere IPA that I tried, though. Now on to the food. The mini corn dogs were made with a high quality beef wiener (trust me, I know my wieners!) so the tube meat on the inside was absolutely delicious. I liked the breading, but for some reason, no matter where I get a corn dog, no one can seem to duplicate that same taste and texture of the corn dogs I had as a kid. The sweet tangy pungent stone ground mustard they were served with was really delicious. And, on to the Cherry Ketchup. It was really more reminiscent of a black cherry chutney rather than a true ketchup, was more sweet than savory, but was actually pretty delicious. Although, it was better on the fries. The green chile burger we split was just okay. The beef was good and charbroiled to my liking, but not a true medium as ordered. Nothing special. The waiter however, was awesome, and brought our burger already cut down the middle and even split the fries equally. That's good customer service. I'll be back. I liked it here enough to want to sit and drink more beer for sure. I will have to delve more into the house beers on a future visit.

I am greatful for a place like this around the area. Can't wait to go here to watch the games etc. You'll thank me later- get the sweet potato fries with the crack sauce!!!! SOOO good!!!! I also can't wait to try their sandwiches, which look amazing as well! :) OH and HH...definitely want to check that out!

You will probably wait for a table. This place has been here for weeks, and I waited ten minutes for a seat at 8:00 on a TUESDAY. This place gets packed. So. Five stars, rounded up. It's probably a four star place, or four and a half, but they get rounded up. For a couple reasons. #1, they're doing this in Lake City. Not Lake City near Roosevelt, either. This is far-flung, strip-club Lake City. Well, not quite strip club. They're a mile in either direction. But the other dining option worth noting within 3 miles in any direction is...Dick's. I am sure I am missing something, but, seriously, these guys struck gold when they set up shop here. Hence the crowds. The server last night said people gratefully waited TWO AND A HALF HOURS for tables the first couple weeks they were open. They were that excited to have a good place to eat in this neighborhood. Wow. Anyway, the place. Maybe you'll find parking. Maybe you'll have to hoof it a little. But the vibe here seems to have improved a lot over the last ten years, so that's completely fine. The joint itself is shouldered in with a bunch of other businesses fronting along the sidewalk. It's one of those sets of businesses that went up block by block all at once 50-60 years ago. You wouldn't think, for exactly that reason, that it would be nice inside. But it is. The ceilings are triple height; there's plenty of air. The dining room is huge; at least 125 seats scattered through four cordoned sections. There are a bunch of booths along the big windows in front, and a big bar with plenty of stools and highboys. The bar sits under a gigantic chalkboard listing a couple dozen house and guest taps. Everything bustles. The host station just kinda blends in with all the other woodwork (attractively constructed of light blond wood). The kids working are super nice and right on point, though. Same goes for the whole staff, really. They're all working the whole time, but giving off a great relaxed, friendly vibe, wearing their own clothes, chatting with everybody the whole time. Just what a brewpub should be. They were all clearly hired in part on appearance, but they can all do their jobs very well for sure. Best of both hiring practices. The drawback of all that pretty blond wood? It's fairly noisy in here. There are ~5 big flat screens tuned to the game, and you can't hear a thing over the crowd. Not even sure if there are speakers. They need some acoustical baffling under tables and on walls and ceilings in here. But, really, you walk in expecting the building to kind of suck, given how old it must be, and it's gorgeous in here. The beers range from OK to pretty good to sometimes really great. The servers know their beer list pretty well, but they could stand to write up short descriptions for each beer for them to work with, rather than guess on how to describe the beers. They're *really* helpful, just awesome, with helping you pick what to drink, so they should make the most of that by having Bill (or whomever) write a sentence or two about each beer. The food is solid pub grub. A huge list of burgers, sandwiches, and salads, with a few other entrees and apps mixed in. Apps are mostly fried IIRC. They emphasize a lot of solid ingredients with quite a few organic options here and there. The burger was pretty delicious; they got the bun right for sure. The fries were good. They give you an "LCW" origin bumper sticker with your check. They're clearly angling to make Lake City a viable neighborhood with real community ties, and they're giving it a meeting place and a bit of identity too. More importantly, they're giving it beer and burgers and ballgames. Well...more importantly to me, anyway, since I live a couple neighborhoods over. But I'll definitely be in here a lot.

We came here for a surprise birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. I loved the openness of the location, and the staff was so very friendly and accommodating, even with our rather large group of celebrators. Some of us had our kids with us, and the staff was so friendly and helpful to them, as well. So, let's get down to the food! My fiance and I ordered the Hawaii Five-O, and it was an amazingly juicy and messy burger. My dad once said the best way to tell the quality of burger is by the number of napkins used in the consumption of said burger. I ended up with the napkin mountain, and didn't get any on my clothes. But, the burger was so flavorful, the pineapple was grilled to perfection, and the teriyaki sauce was AMAZING! The fries were totally rocking, but after such a huge juicy burger, I wasn't able to eat too many. It would have been a crime not to finish the burger itself, so the fries were donated to the tummy of my fiance. He loved his burger, too. My son ordered a kid's burger that was H-U-G-E for a kid's burger with plenty of fries as well. A couple of other people in our party ordered the ruben and they just raved about it. There was a vast selection of beers, of which I didn't partake, but was impressed with the notion of the coffee porter. I was so impressed with this venue that I thought it would be the perfect place for a wedding rehearsal dinner. So, we are definitely going back again, perhaps this time we'll try brunch.

My office and I go here after work for happy hour every few weeks. The food is tasty, the service is quick, and happy hour prices are pretty smokin. I think this is the nicest, best restaurant in Lake City. Is it amazing? No. Would I go out of my way to come here? No. But is there anywhere else I'd rather go? Nope. This is the spot.

I've been here multiple times since it opened and brought many friends and family members to join me. Their appetizers are great, my favorite are the sweet potato fries. And each time I've tried a different entree and still haven't found something that was disappointing. I am not a big beer drinker but they do have some ciders that are awesome! The ahi & cod tacos are great as well as the fish and chips. Don't forget to try a burger! The croque madam was heavy but definitely something worth trying. The environment is casual yet it can get busy with families. You might have a wait but no more than any other restaurant.

Pretty good food and beer. Service is very slow when busy even at the bar. It's not a very quiet place either. Good local alternative to Red Robin.

The beer is cold and delicious, the food is hot and yummy, atmosphere is lively, but not too loud (even on weekday evenings). I would say it's a winning addition to the LC neighborhood. Service is also pretty good even with the busy crowds. Try some of the salads... they are actually really good! The chili is also pretty delicious too! Portions are decent, so don't worry too much about running out of food!

Dang, I was hoping to be first to review! Ah well, I'm just happy to review this place at all. I was really pleased to hear Elliott Bay would be opening a location in Lake City. It's definitely a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Tonight was opening night and the place was PACKED. But the service was friendly, the food was amazing, and the wait really wasn't too bad considering. I had the turkey, bacon, and swiss sandwich, which I'd had several years ago at the West Seattle location and had been dreaming of ever since. It was just as amazing as I remembered. Super flavorful and SO MUCH BACON! My friends had the calamari (which I tried and it was tasty!), the fish and chips, and a burger. They happily scarfed down every bite. Service was a little bit slow, but considering how packed the place was, it was completely expected. My guess is that they should have no problems in a few weeks when they have settled into a more normal rhythm. Parking isn't the best - there's a lot behind the building, but it was completely full when I got there. Finally managed to snag a spot...but be prepared to stalk shoppers leaving nearby stores like Bartell Drugs in an attempt to grab a place. Definitely check this place out - it's well worth it.

The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, and the staff follows through as warm, inviting and helpfull. All the food I have tried is delightful from lunch to happy hour and especially dinner. Soooo good can't wait to be back in the area to grub again. Oooo ya and the beer selection is pretty epic.

Went there for happy hour, and got the quesadilla, hummus, and chilli. The chilli was pretty delicious with a generous amount of cheese and chilli. The quesadilla was alright, just average, not much filling. The hummus was a little disappointing, they included two types of dip, but very little bread. One of my friends got a pale ale, which wasn't bad. Service was a little slow, but it was a busy Friday night, so understandable.

Thank you for making my neighborhood better! Not only are there so many beers on taps, but there are CIDERS. Anything involving fried fish is good-- fish and chips, fish tacos. Burgers are decent. This location is much larger and open than the West Seattle location, which is a bit more like a pub. But the food is just as good, yay. I feel like everything's been covered, just wanted to say I'm happy Elliot Bay is here to stay :) ^ I didn't mean to rhyme, it just happened that way haha.

One of the best things that came to Lake City. This place has great bar food and beer! They brew their own beer and the food is always fresh. I was pleasantly surprised when they opened and have gone back multiple times. I love their ahi tuna tacos. I typically do not like cole slaw, but I will get their slaw because it is that good. Great place to grab a bite if you are in the area, they have TVs there that are always tuned on to some sort of sports game. Huge plus for sports fanatics. Service is great, but they can get quite busy. Kind of lame that they do not take large group reservations because they certainly have the space for it.

Overall: Food is good (get a sampler of dipping sauces), beer is meh, help is awful (maybe this will change if you don't show up at the end of their rush but I've never been so rudely helped and than walked away from...) and apparently crappy happy hour. Some great food options. Pricing was pretty standard ($9-$12 for entrees). My boyfriend was EXTREMELY happy with his burger and my food was good. Not mind blowingly good but alright. A little disappointed in the small helping of fries because we asked for a sampler of all their dipping sauces. With ale honey mustard, cherry ketchup and stout BBQ sauce, why not? (DO THIS. They were EXCELLENT). However, the wait was pretty long (dinner time) so come prepared or call in advance(?). Also, our waitress seemed pretty out of it. At one point we were ordering a sampler and she just walked away from us. Literally. "Well I would like..." and there she went. Bizarre. After that it was hard to get her attention. The beer was meh. The bartender was rude and not helpful but quicker than our waitress. I ordered the Three Tree Porter (i think, give or take on the name) and it was sort of bitter for me. Should have gotten their Oatmeal Stout instead (tried it in the sampler it was yummy). The Lake City Ale was good and their Riot. We tried a few of their Van Boorians selections and they were pretty tasteless. Also, happy hour apparently sucks. They only have a few appetizer plates which aren't all that discounted and it's super common things like hummus plates.

I had the fish and chips, and to be fair, I got what I expected. It's almost impossible for restaurants to separate themselves from the bell curve with fish and chips. They are all just meh, mediocre. This was one no different, the skin was a bit soggy from the fry...which was offputting. The fish itself was flaky, a bit mushy around the edges. It had thyme (?) mixed into the batter, although I thought it was distracting. The clam chowder wasn't very good, it was overly chunky, a bit too thick. Also, it was rather bland and needed more seasoning. More potatoes than seafood. My wife had the taco salad which was really good; great guac, fresh ground beef, crunchy lettuce - I wish I had gotten that. We had the 'mini' corndogs for a starter, and there were 6 of them, each about half a corndog. The mustard was incredible - tasted like horseradish was mixed in. The ketchup is called 'cherry ketchup' and is also really good, sweet. The beer selection was good, I had a sample of 5 different beers. All were good, nothing great. Service was good, no complaints.

This was something new that I went to during my trip to Seattle. It's a pretty typical pub and brewery type of place, decent food, but nothing extraordinary from my perspective. It was kind of loud, but I think that's the new thing in restaurants nowadays.

I was a bit iffy about coming here because it was only rated 3.5 stars on the Yelpy scale, but my buddy talked me into trying it with him. So glad I was easy and went along!!! I liked it so much the first time I went a second time shortly after. First visit we got a beer sampler with some EB brews and some others, all were great, especially the Hales Creme Ale. I personally loved the variety of the menu, there is a ton of stuff on there I am still dying to try. First visit I got a tuna steak sandwich which honestly was perfect! They did the tuna just right! The lemon aioli was ridonkulous and I really wouldn't mind bathing in it sometime soon :) Second visit I went for the Cuban which was also good but not as good as the tuna sammy. Their fries are great and fresh with herbs sprinkled on them. Service is pretty efficient but not overly friendly. The tables could be a bit cleaner as I had to ask both times for a wipe down. I hope on future visits I still like them and wasn't just lucky a couple of times!!! P.S. There is a parking lot in the back, you don't have to park on the street.

Quite loud, as other people have mentioned, but consistently good food and a great selection of beers. Unfortunately it's not just a brewery, but also Romper Room. The place is overrun with screaming children running around (literally). Obviously some parents do not teach their offspring how to behave properly, but the tons of screaming children running around don't go with a casual place to relax and have a brew. There's a pub in Ballard that doesn't allow anyone under 21 -- too bad this PUBLIC HOUSE AND BREWERY doesn't have that rule.

Dropped in for taco salad and schnitzel special. My schnitzel had no flavor other than the grease in which it was fried. My girlfriend's taco salad had no dressing other than the hamburger grease. There are few windows and the place was very loud with the Sunday post-Seahawk rush. Really the place is awful.

A new find that is one of the best places to get a great selection of beer and pub food. This place is in the space that use to house the large hobby shop in downtown Lake City and now has the Elliott Bay Brewery. Although I've not eaten here more than just the mini corn dogs. I will say this is easily comparible to going to Naked City in Greenwood.

I really wish there were more than 5 stars to give this place. We have loved this place since it opened, but what caused me to come on here and write this review was our experience on Saturday night. It was so over-the-top amazing, everyone should know about it. I wanted to have my husband's birthday party here, since it's our favorite place to bring our toddler. Always great service, the wait staff seems to love kids and are very accommodating and understanding, and very little beats a pint of B-Town Brown on a cold day. The Lake City location has a great looking back room, so I contacted Lawrence, the manager, to ask if we could reserve it for a group of about 20 people. While you can reserve it, you can only reserve on Saturdays between 9 and 5:30, since they get so slammed on Saturday nights, they really need the space. However, he said he'd put my name down to warn the wait staff that we were coming, and told us to send one person from our party to come down early and get our name on the list. Four of us went down early and were told it would be about a 45 minute wait. 10 minutes later, our section was ready for us. I believe our server's name was Grant. He was, hands-down, the best server I have ever had at any restaurant. He was attentive, anticipated what we needed, watched closely for new people to arrive and, even though the restaurant filled up completely, he popped in as soon as people were seated to get drink and food orders. Even the person who I assume was the floor manager kept stopping in to make sure everything was going well and that we were still happy. These guys were funny, awesome, and just pitch-perfect. The food, as always, was a big hit, as was the fact that they have cider on tap! At the end of the night, we'd asked for one check to keep things easy, and they added an 18% gratuity to the huge bill, since the group was so large (as I would have expected). However, our experience was SO good, I added in an additional 20% on top of that. Everyone in our group, every time our server left the room, looked at each other and said, "WOW. That guy is getting a HUGE tip." ;o) What a great night. Can't wait to host another party there. These guys are just amazing.

I went for the beer and will come back for the food! Ordered the Elk burger and Riot Ale Imperial IPA. I was skeptical about eating Elk, since I've never even tried it before (to my knowledge), plus the burger came with BBQ sauce (not really a fan of BBQ sauce except on ribs). It was fantastic! The combination of elk with carmelized onions, bacon and the right amount of bbq sauce made this a world class burger!! The Riot Ale Imperial IPA was dry hopped, so it had a nice bitter taste that was still very easy to enjoy. I believe it was Organic if that's important to you. Finally, I ordered a Cask Conditioned IPA (can't remember which). This was the first time I had a beer in a bar that didn't include CO2 or Nitrogen. It was hands down the smoothest beer I have ever tasted. Cost a little more, but well worth it!

We are big fans of the Burien and West Seattle locations. We used to visit the Burien location at least a couple times a month when we lived down south. We moved up north and was excited to find that there was an Elliot Bay Brewery here as well! We are sorely disappointed. Their Lake City location is one of the worst restaurants we'd ever been to. First visit was great. I always order their steamer clams with an extra side of bread to split with my daughter. I don't love paying $1.50 for 2 slices of bread, but it works out perfectly for us so I suck it up. Service is great, food is great, we leave happy and full. Second visit, I order their steamer clams. Strike #1: They return to tell me that they have run out of clams. Strike #2: They seat 2 squirmy screechy kids next to us. (They felt like they kept all of the kids together back where we were sitting with our well mannered 7 year old.) Strike #3: At the very end of the meal, the server spills a practically full glass of water on my lap while reaching for our credit card. Third visit was the final visit. It took them about 2 weeks to get steamer clams back on the menu. (I called a few times to check.) I order the clams and a side of bread as usual. They forget the bread so I remind them that I ordered a side of bread. They go back and bring me back 1 slice of bread. I question why it's only 1 slice and they go to check with the chefs. He tells me that he just pushes a button for an extra side of bread and the chefs make it happen. I told him that I have ordered this several times before and I have never had 1 slice of bread come out before. He tells me that it's dependent on the chef that is on staff at the time and if I want 2 slices of bread in the future to make sure to tell the server that. Um, I have never had to tell any server this in the past. Why should I have to start doing this moving forward? Also, $1.50 for 1 slices of bread, are you freaking kidding me??? The quality of our visits diminish so much each time that we have not been able to muster up enough enthusiasm to visit again. We're disappointed at the loss of a family friendly pub with good beer and good food, but we will not be returning to the Lake City Way location again.

Elliot Bay Brewery of Lake City Way really impressed me. I took my girlfriend based on their commitment to organic ingredients...wholeheartedly expecting your typical Seattle tree-hugger hippie house. Elliot Bay certainly was not that; their beer selection was fantastic, ranging from house drafts, guest drafts and 2 cask conditioned, (Maritime IPA Cask was awesome). All in all about 25 on tap (and they serve in proper glassware). Next...their food was fantastic. An awesome 'gourmet' twist on traditional Pub Grub without the 'gourmet' price. All prices were completely reasonable. Family friendly bar setting without feeling like your in a Red Robin (fellas will appreciate this). Our server Chris was awesome and super knowledgeable. Overall a great experience and fantastic establishment. Nicely done Elliot Bay. ***Beware: This place gets crazy on Fri-Sat nights, after 7pm, expect a 30-45min wait ---For good reason, best eatery and brewery around Lake City!!!

My husband and I have gone here twice and plan to for their Brunch menu as well. It is very big, with a good menu. I am not picky just give me more than two options and they do. I can't drink beer so I can't vouch for that but my husband seems to like their selection when he orders. Service, for me, is perfect. I don't want you walking by my table every 5 minutes to see how everything is - that will just annoy the hell out of me. Each time we've been the server did their duty: drinks, food, drop off, one check up, and check; that for me is perfect. Some might want more and if so - you'll be lacking. Others, like me, this is all that you need. Food, is good. It's not the best that I've had - it is better than Red Robin for sure. My husband got the fish and chips and really liked it; said you could actually taste the fish. I am an odd ball and can't deal with gooey foods, I ordered the Philly Cheese steak and the bread got gooey so I couldn't eat that; but the steak and veggies and fries were really good. Overall, it is good - service is really good as is the food. Is it the best in town - no. Neither is it the worst. If you are hoping for 5 star service and food don't even bother - if you want a fun "get together" place for either happy hour or good food then this is it. Hope this helps. :)

I do love a good Brew Pub, so I am definitely glad to have discovered the newest location of Elliot Bay up on Lake City. As an Eastsider, lots of places in Seattle are just too hard to get to for dinner and drinks, but this location is definitely do-able. I came here for a Friday night dinner with a large group of people. We waited around patiently and took over a large table in the bar area for a few hours. While we had some problems with rude services, overall I had a great experience(that may have just been the company, who knows). I tried 2 different beers, I don't remember what they were, but they were both good, but nothing memorable. They have a large selection of both their own beers, and other beers to choose from, so I would definitely come here again for more beer. The food was good, but also, not great. I had a burger and fries. I wasn't a fan of the fries, but apparently there are sweet potato fries, and they do have some delicious chipotle mayo to dip the sweet potato fries into. My burger was good though and they have a huge selection of burgers, sandwiches, and specials to choose from. It's nice to know about new Brew Pubs, and to try some new local brews. I will definitely be back!

Good food, good beer, good service - what else do you want? Well, I'd like them to do some sound conditioning. This place gets really noisy when it's busy. Portions are generous, and in fact my daughter and I have learned to split the weekend brunch order of blueberry and banana pancakes, which leaves her full and leaves me sated. With some of the burgers, just give it up and realize you need to knife-and-fork it. They've done some really good work with the staff, and your server will at the very least be competent and efficient, with most being friendly and delightful. I go there a lot, probably more than I should, but I like being there.

We were disappointed in most of the food and with some of the service. We started with a cider sampler (yum!) and an iced tea. The iced tea was very perfumey (we didn't order jasmine, or anything special, just iced tea). It was undrinkable. The bacon corn fritters sounded really good but were only so-so (the husband didn't like them because they weren't fluffy, instead they were greasy from the bacon in the center, so didn't seem completely cooked). We were really excited to try the pickled pot as we love to try different home pickled vegetables, giardiniera, etc., including our own, but these were not good. There was no flavor other than vinegar; no spices or nuance. It mostly tasted like white vinegar. The walnut olive tapenade served on the side was bitter. We couldn't eat very much of this dish and told the waiter it wasn't good. He said other people really like it, and didn't take it off the bill. My Italian club sandwich was just okay; my husband's burger was somewhat grisly. The fries were okay but cold. The greeter and servers were friendly on arrival, and upon serving the food. However, after we complained about the pickled pot dish it felt like we were being avoided and it took a very long time to get our check. We won't be going back.

So glade to have a brew pub on the north side:) The burgers, salads, ahi tacos, and OMG sweet potato waffle fries are good (make sure you get a side of their amazing cherry tomato ketchup to dip your fries or even fingers! Beers are consistently good, but I hope you like hops as much as I do! I love the black ops IPA. Also don't miss half price growler fills on Mondays! Also love that they always have local art on display and it changes out at least once a month. Great for local artist, the brew pub, and the patrons! If you have a party of 4 or more be sure to order a brownie sundae, otherwise be prepared for a belly ache. This place would get 5 stars if the acoustics were better in the restaurant. I feel like I need earplugs so I don't get a headache in there. Maybe if they added insulation to the ceiling that would help. And the service is a little slow/inattentive, but that is partly because they are always busy when I go for dinner. Also be prepared to wait if you want to eat dinner on a Friday or Saturday night. And they won't add your name to the waiting list if you call ahead :(

I had the teriyaki burger which was good, the fries were just okay. Place was jammed pack and the food still arrived in a timely manner.

Our bartender was so friendly - quick and made awesome recommendations. Our ahi tacos, with corn tortilla instead of flour, were over the top delicious. The yam fries -tasty,.....my niece had salad instead....also delicious. Sampled a few of their dark beers and they were absolutely fabulous! Had a stout and a porter....THEN we had an amazing dessert...brownie with two types of ice cream...it was HUGE...too big for the two of us. Can't wait to go there again.

I got introduced to Elliot Bay through the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, as we have our monthly meetings there. I really like some of the food there (in particular the Hawaii Five-O veggie burger). I also like the beer sampler. They have an impressive variety of beer on tap. The have a large parking lot, and there is street parking in the area as well. I would give them five stars, but I've been in a few times and its so crowded its difficult to get a seat, and sometimes even after you've been seated its difficult to get service. The staff is great and all of the servers have been prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable about the food and beer that they offer.

What a great addition to Lake City! So many raves: - plenty of parking available - incredibly family friendly (lots of options on the kids menu) - friendly and attentive waiters - great selection of beer - delicious food Went there a few weeks ago after our softball game (6 adults and 3 kids) and were seated promptly. Our waitress was fabulous - got our orders right away and even put in a request to get our daughters' dinners in first so that they could get their food quickly. All of us were satisfied with our meals. We were so full but decided on desserts. YUM. We left with bellies full of happy. We'll definitely be back!

Exactly what we needed in Lake City! I have been twice and will go again and again! The first time I had fish and chips, superb! The second time I had a fajita salad which was delightful! I talked my friends into trying Croque Madame and it was incredible. Bacon chutney comes with it! On the second trip I noticed on the bottom of the menu they will sub gluten free bread or bun. Now when I return I can try one of their famous burgers!! Excellent service and friendly knowledgeable staff make you feel very special!! Thank you for moving in!!

This has to be the best brew pub in all of Seattle. Huge beer selection, huge food selection, lots of specials rotating regularly, tons of TVs, tons of seating, and a very warm and friendly atmosphere while maintaining the industrial brewery feel. Service is outstanding - beers rarely stay empty for long, food is delicious, and service is always quick. I really could not recommend a better brew pub to visit in the Seattle area.

The Lake City Way Elliot Bay Brewery is arguably one of the best brew pubs in the region. First - the staff have been excellent - not only fun, but very knowledgeable about both the food and the beers. Service has consistently been quick, but no rush to down your drinks. Second - the setting is comfortable and enjoyable. One area has big screens if you are into sports. There is a more family oriented area over by the windows. In the middle is the bar and bar style seating. Third - the food, while pub style, is consistently executed very well. Their normal burger is great. If the soup of the day is tomato - order it - it's the very best tomato soup I have ever had - no BS. I love that you can get a "grandma" style burger with green peppers and onions all over it - they call is the brewers burger or something like that. Last, but not least - the beer. While none are on my top 3 all time favorite list - all that I have tried are excellent. The Lake City IPA is great. The Elliot Bay IPA is great (though I like the LC IPA better.) The Btown Brown is excellent - as good as Diamond Knot which is fabulous. The Demolition is great. The Red von Boorian is excellent - it is a bit unusual - sort of like Pike Place Monk's Uncle Tripel, but better - and the color is amazing. All the ABVs are listed so you can have a couple lighter alcohol content beers or one big, hairy imperial running over 9.0. Either way - it's nice not to be surprised how fuzzy headed you get. One word of caution - it can get busy at peak times, (largely because the place is awesome.) Don't let that stop you - just set your watch an hour early and start drinking at 4 instead of 5. Don't forget - order the tomato soup if they have it.

Decided to give this place a try on a Friday night. The restaurant was barely half full, and it still took my boyfriend and I about 5 minutes to be greeted before we went to our table. The waitress was rude and smelled strongly of cigarettes (nothing against smokers, but not very appetizing) she didn't even say "hello" or "how's it going," just started off with "drinks?" We looked over the menu, I ordered the taco salad, and our waitress rolled her eyes HARD when I asked to customize my order with no guacamole. Boyfriend ordered pulled pork sandwich. We got our food in a fairly timely fashion, but it was pretty bad. I found a noodle in my taco salad, and his pulled pork was super dry, and got fries that were half cold and half fresh, and the fresh ones were mediocre at that. All in all, definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who expects friendly service and good food.

A much needed establishment for the neighborhood. The beer selection is good combining an assortment of house brews and guest taps. It is a brew-pub and the brew does come first. Haven't really ordered anything besides appetizers and they were all fine for their prices.

My wife and I tried this great place the first time about three weeks ago based on a Groupon... My first reaction was: "OMG, Lake City finally has a GOOD place to eat (besides Toyodas)..." The food, while certainly not Canlis's or something, was FAR better than 90% of the brew pubs I have been in. The beer selection is even better than the food and the taste and presentation are even better yet. But, what really impressed us was the attentive professional and downright PLEASANT service... everything from a short wait on a busy night, right through to our waddling very well fed out the door made us feel like royalty. So, we went back. This time, the food was just a touch tastier, the beer just a skosh crisper and the wait staff even MORE pleasant and attentive. Well Done! BTW: I am now a criss-cross sweet-potato fry with wild cherry catsup JUNKIE (Yes, it is THAT good!) This has become our go-to place. Very satisfying food to go with some stellar beers and service that makes it all a joy for very reasonable prices.

We went to Elliot Bay Pub for dinner the other night and all four of us were blown away at the food! This isn't your standard pub fare; while they certainly have the greasy, grubby burgers and fries, they also have options like Croque Madame (which my mom had), Manila Clam Steamers (which I had), Philly Cheese steaks, (which Cam had) and Cuban sandwiches (which my dad had.) There were also quite a few salad options, and a ton of other food options. There was something for everyone. Not being a beer drinker, I elected to have their root beer on tap and it was really good. Both dad and Cam had a variety of beers and liked them all. Service was pretty good, despite it being absolutely packed. Our bill for four entrees, 6 beers, two root beers and a diet coke was about $100. So they aren't particularly cheap, but man the food was good!

We were delighted to have a new place in our neighborhood and had heard great things about Elliott Bay Brewerys so were super excited to check out. We went on a Saturday night around 6pm and the place was packed. We only waited about 10 minutes and then were seated, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. That was, until our waitress spilled our drinks on us. I fully realize accidents happen but she was very slow to respond with towels and was less than apologetic. The table, my chair and my pants were soaked. Needless to say, WE cleaned up 90% of the mess and finally got around to ordering our food and new drinks. Overall we liked our food. The fish tacos which were just okay. They would have been much better if served with corn tortillas. The flour overwhelmed the flavor of the fish. When we got our check the waitress let us know that she "comped" the drinks that she spilled on us. While this was a nice gesture it would have been more appropriate if she comped a round of drinks that we actually drank versus bathed in. Our overall dining experience was tainted by the mishap. Not sure if we'll go back.

Tried their brunch on a recent Sunday - do not waste your time. We were the first people to arrive but had to wait for our food for over 20 minutes while damn near everybody else in the place got served. Our server was more or less MiA the whole time we were there. The food was incredibly lame. Apparently these tasteless fritter things are complimentary for brunch, but we weren't told that till after we ordered some and the free plate showed up later. Public house breakfast was a joke - maybe one egg on top of a few hash browns with three sausages, not a whole lot of food for $10.50. Also got the pancakes which were bland and strangely sour. The syrup wasn't sweet at all. Best way to describe it was damp and tasteless. Also had to ask them to bring us utensils, butter, and coffee refills which we kept waiting and waiting for. And the coffee was really weak. Gotta say this was one of the worst breakfast experiences I've had in Seattle. Really unsatisfying all around.

Hosted a group brunch on a Saturday morning at Elliott Bay on Lake City - although they usually do not take reservations, the manager was willing to work with me to reserve a space for our group of 20 to come in. We really appreciated that! They had a dedicated waitress available for us. Everyone enjoyed the food, and many commented on how large the portions were. We had people ordering off the regular menu and the brunch menu (we were there at 11am, so both were available). I personally ate the Oatmeal Brulee, and that was amazingly good. Hit the spot - thick cut oatmeal, blueberries, whipped cream, yum!

First impressions are important and Elliot Bay won me over from the get go. As we walked into the restaurant I was so pleasantly surprised, the space is beautiful! There is also a wonderful smell of fresh wood, probably from all of the materials that have gone into the interior. There was a good number of tvs and I liked that the patrons in the bar actually paid attention to the Euro Cup match on tv. It provided a nice sports bar environment (that Seattle seems to be lacking). Food: I had the ahi tacos, fabulous! The fries were delicious as well as the "special sauce" served with them (tasted similar to Red Robin's 'campfire' sauce which I think is ranch + bbq). My dining partner had the green chili burger, he said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had (high praise from someone that eats a lot of burgers LOL). I appreciate all of the meat options they have for burgers (beef, chicken breast, turkey, veggie patty...or a buffalo patty for $1.95 extra). There is also an elk burger on the menu that I have my eye on for next time. Lake City definitely needed a place like that. Tip: There is a good sized parking lot on the back side of the building!

We found a coupon for EBBC in the Entertainment book, and discovered they had a location on Lake City Way. We'd been to the one in West Seattle and had a good experience there, and we had anticipated a similar experience here. First attempt was a Friday evening. After being told the wait would be an hour, we bailed. Next attempt was a Sunday evening. No wait this time. Whereas the West Seattle location is much more intimate, this place is like a cubicle farm. It's a large open space with little to break it up and flat overhead lighting. I wouldn't say it's like eating in a warehouse, but it's not too far removed from that. There were a couple of televisions, and background music. They had 3 IPAs, and I followed the server's recommendation for one that would suit my taste. I was not impressed with the result. She did bring some tasters of the others, and though one of the others was more to my taste, none of them impressed me. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with coleslaw. I expected the sandwich to be more fried and melty, but this one was more like a run of the mill sandwich with some of the meats still cold. Sigh. The coleslaw was good. And, they have good sweet potato fries. They did have a strawberry shortcake dessert, which was not particularly inspired. Overall: Meh.

I can't say enough good things about Elliot Bay. My fiancé and I moved to Lake City about 8 months ago and we were admittedly skeptical about what the area had to offer. We tried this place on a whim, expecting anything with a view of LCW to be a bit divey. Boy were we wrong. I don't even want to think about how much we have spent here over the past 8 months. It is our go-to when out of towners come to stay. It's just such an easy atmosphere, with awesome craft brews as well as guest draughts. We go here when we want a late weeknight beer, easygoing date night, satisfying but not greasy breakfast, and every other reason in between. I've never ordered something I didn't like, but here are my favorites: Sandwich/Burger: No Doubt Stout Pulled Pork sandwich is the best thing on the menu, hands down. Appetizer: tie between the Nachos, the Pickled Pot (house made pickled vegetables!), and the Sweet Potato Gaufrettes. Dip: tie between the Chipotle Aioli and the Cherry Ketchup Breakfast: the complimentary apple fritters make my morning. I'm always tempted to order the (giant) blueberry pancakes, which my fiancé assures me are delicious. I usually go for the dependable Breakfast Burrito. A note on the breakfast menu: everything comes across on paper as sort of run of the mill, but each and every thing on the breakfast menu has a special touch, like house made sausage or jam, cherry ketchup with the potatoes. Yummy. Drink: I suggest a sampler to try a little of everything they have on tap. In the morning, I like a Red Light, which is a red beer of tomato juice and Pi Light, with skewered house made pickled vegetables. My fiancé loves the Brass Monkey (Pi Light + OJ) Haven't yet tried the malts or desserts, but someday! Bottom Line: if you live nearby and you've yet to try this place, beware because once you do, you'll be here at least once every two weeks.

I was here for the first time last night. I've been excited to try it - every time I walk by, it's always packed. Beer selection was awesome. I had the nitro cream ale, (delish,) and hubby doesn't like beer, so he had the root beer that was on tap, (which was amazing.) I had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich - lots of flavorful pork on a sturdy roll. Husband had the hummus plate - looked to be homemade, came with pita triangles, artichokes, olives, and sliced cucumbers. My mom was with us and she had the Reuben - it was good, but quite dry, she had to ask for more Thousand Island dressing. And the rye bread came with caroway seeds, which I think are gross. So, beer = A+. Food = B+. Service? F-. Really. It was really, really lousy. Our waiter never really checked on us, never offered refills on water, (a pet peeve of mine,) and we had to ask another waitress who was walking by for some help. I try to be forgiving when the servers are obviously struggling to keep up with all of the tables, but it wasn't that busy. I think I'll chalk it up to everyone being new and try them again later.

Great service, nice selection of beer, fun place. The food is just OK though. Lamb sliders on happy hour were dry and tasteless; basically just meat on a bun. Caesar salad was over dressed. If you are looking for a place to just grab a drink? I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for dinner? I might look elsewhere.

Whoo-hoo! Something decent in the neighborhood! YAY! Actually, something more than decent: it's downright great. As those of us who've lived in this NE corner of Seattle for any length of time know, finding somewhere close-by to go for a good beer, good food and good atmosphere has been next to impossible. There's really nothing between the Lake Forest Bar & Grill and the Maple Leaf...(and LFB&G's atmosphere isn't exactly fantastic) until now! This just opened last week, and the place is -- pardon the beer pun -- hopping. Walking in, the place still smells new. The butcher-block-ish tables are gorgeous, the wood floors are beautiful and the rest of the place is decked out in that PNW industrial-natural look and feel that seems to be everywhere. (REI anyone?) The beer selection has variety, including nitros (try the chocolate), casks, house brews and guest brews. And yummy root beer on tap in case the real stuff doesn't interest you. The menu also has a lot of variety-- so much so we had a hard time choosing what to try. Three of us ordered the elk burger, the No Doubt Stout BBQ (chicken) burger and the Hawaii-Five-O (chicken) burger. All yummy, and before I was half-way through mine, I was checking to see if they had wi-fi (they do) because I was already planning to move my virtual office there after lunch at least one day a week. Some random comments: our waiter - RC - was kind, down-to-earth, fun and helpful; there are a few TVs (3?) and well-placed for both those who want to watch, and for those who really don't; and serious props to the person or people who designed the women's bathroom: stall doors that open OUTWARD...so you can actually get in (and then out again) with relative ease. The incandescent lights throughout are a warming, welcoming touch as well. Thankyouthankyouthankyou to whomever thought of bringing such goodness to this needy corner of the city. We love you. Keep up the great work; we're planning to go back. Often.

The food at this place is great--many choices, good flavor, and extra points for yummy vegetarian options. I've seen a burger place with a certain red mascot listed as a comparison in other reviews, which simply doesn't do this place justice. At Elliot Bay, we have never felt like cattle being herded in & out. Our servers (Brandy & Suzanne) have been attentive & friendly, and while the music is a bit loud for intimate conversation, it works well for families. Our oldest daughter had a slightly embarrassing mishap this evening, but rather than acting annoyed with the disruption, Clay went out of his way to make her feel better about it & won a fan for life! Kudos to this place for keeping great people--it really makes the difference!

They have an incredible beer list,, and our waiter was very friendly and checked in on us often. I came in here one late night and did happy hour. We were very pleased with everything we got, including yummy nachos. Prices seemed reasonable. The seating is very open and comfortable, and the wooden furniture adds to the warm atmosphere.

This place can only be described as BARFTASTIC I came here for "brunch" and I thought the menu was uninspired and limited. I ordered apple fritters which were unsatisfactory. The apples used were unflavorful and they were deep friend in a tangy beer batter which had an unpleasant after taste. The fritters came with a basil jam which was OK but nothing to write home about.. I also ordered the smoked salmon scramble. It was nauseating and very oily. Usually when I go out to eat I can clear my plate fairly easily but I barely finished half my scramble..

Wow. This place is an absolute dream come true. Lake city has needed a place like this for years, and now we have it: a real brewery. The inside is very roomy, and beautifully done. The lighting is calm and peaceful, allowing you to forget the worries of the day, and focus on a nice beer (I can't quite order one yet) and a delicious meal. I had my fish and chips, and I have to say, they were some of the best I have had in a very long time. The cod was amazing, and the batter was perfectly crunchy on the outside. They also have amazing sweet potato fries, and some house-made coleslaw, which really hits the spot. and the dessert is also amazing, I had a strawberry smoothie, which tasted fresh, and not over sweetened. All in all an amazing meal. Lake City just went up a notch in my book. I will be back. Often.

This is the kind of place you would buy stock in if you could - it's really evident that this is a thoroughly well-managed and successful establishment - I've never seen it slow (for good reason!). We come here often, all different times of the day and week - the service and food is consistently top notch. It's so nice to have a go-to place you can depend on for a quality and delicious dining experience. Love the rotating taps and seasonal menu too. Highly recommended for date night, family dinner, groups, or just some casual beer tasting.

I am overjoyed to have a new place in the neighborhood that has great food and well-crafted beers. I haven't had the chance to eat too much here but the smoked salmon appetizer is divine and the wait staff is super attentive without being smothering or making you feel like they are trying to rush you off. My major complaint with this place is two-fold, the noise level of this place is so loud that unless you are sitting right next to someone, as opposed to sitting across from them, you can't hear them. I actually have ringing in my ears when I leave here due to the tremendous amount of noise generated by the people and the fact that there is nothing to dampen the sound. I also have been a little underwhelmed about the lack of knowledge about their beers by the waitstaff and how difficult it is to read their beer menu when you're not standing directly in front of their chalkboards. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood, I really hope that there are more businesses to follow suit, but some fine tuning definitely needed.

I've been to the Elliott Bay Public House over in West Seattle and in Burien, so I was pretty excited to see that one popped up closer to home. I headed over for dinner with a few friends. After waiting more than an hour for a table, we proceeded to receive pretty shoddy service for the rest of the evening. Our waitress never refilled our water without us asking first. She never asked if we would like another drink. After we had finished eating, we easily waited more than 20 minutes for her to bring us the bill. So overall, pretty disappointing. My meal was fine, but one of my friend's found a hair in hers. The waitress did bring her a new half of a sandwich (because she'd eaten the first half) and then didn't charge her for her meal--which was nice, but still, a hair?! I haven't decided whether I'll go back or not. I certainly won't go back on a Friday night, and if I experience service like this again, I'll definitely cross it off my list.

Best place in Lake City for food and beer. Very large restaurant with tv's and art you can buy off the walls. Good service as well. They have a huge beer selection and can't wait to try more of them. The BBQ bacon burger I got was very good could have used more fries on the side though. They also had many items on the menu of various types that looked real good. Definitely doesn't seem like a place for that area but glad it is so close.

Stopped in for my birthday lunch this weekend with the family and some friends. I will make this short and sweet. Kid friendly for sure and they loved kids platter. Huge beer selection with knowledgable staff. Food was top notch, point in fact I have never had a better hummus platter believe it or not. The effort they put into making their hummus platter better than most translates to the rest of their food. Lots of TV's in great locations for watching Saturday and Sunday football. Only complaint is the lighting the area we were in it was hard to see our menus. Over all great experience and we will be back.

My wife and I tried Elliott Bay Public House & Brewery, Lake City this weekend for lunch. We were both pleasantly surprised and we will be back soon. We split an order of calamari and a blue cheese bacon cheese burger. For just a little extra you can substitute buffalo on any of their burgers. We love buffalo meat so this was an easy choice. We both had one of their microbrew beers and really liked them. The calamari was freshly battered and came with too great dipping sauces, a lemon tartar sauce and a chipotle style sauce. We loved the flavor of the calamari and dipping sauce , but the calamari was slightly over cooked and chewy. I like calamari and not many places can cook it well, so I would still recommend this dish. The burger was delicious and I will definitely order this item again. The server recommended medium rare for the buffalo burger, but I just can't do ground anything unless it's cooked all the way. I asked for my meat to be cooked to medium and they did it perfectly. The blue cheese was in a cream sauce the tasted great. The put purple unions and pickles on all their burgers, I didn't think they paired well with the blue cheese and bacon so I pulled them off. The servers were all really friendly and the atmosphere was fun, warm, and inviting. We are both excited for the outdoor patio to open this summer. The dining area was a little noisy, they were about 75% full, I can only imagine it gets annoying when the place is full. They would benefit from installing sound dampening panels on some of the walls or ceiling. Pros: Microbrew Beer, Buffalo Meat, Fun Atmosphere, and Great Flavors. Cons: Noisy

Their beer is ok, nothing special but they do have a huge number of taps and include beers from other breweries and ciders. Overall I like the food a fair amount. Decent veggie burger, great fries with cherry ketchup, pickle pot is a winner and their Mediterranean plate is good. The decor is ok, basically big open room with wood tables and a bunch of tvs on the wall. It can be pretty loud but provably because it is busy. We don't go much. Anymore because they stopped selling sparkling wine which makes it generally a no go for us. Pros : pretty good food Big beer selection Good for kids Cons: No sparkling wine Not a big fan of their brand beer

With a couple exceptions, Lake City is pretty much void of mass appeal, quality eat and drink places. Sure there are Clairs, Jalisco, Thai one on, but they are not a place for a night out with a beer and nice meal. Elliott Bay Lake City recently opened in the old hobby shop location. It's a beautiful, spanking new brew pub. A great space, nicely executed with the experience of having Elliott Bay's other locations. I've been here twice now and I'm very happy to see it help bring up the area. The lower level is also a large space, they are talking banquet rooms or pool tables in the future. There are some great menu items here. The 2 meals I had were very good and well prepared. Portions generous and service was top drawer. It must have taken some major coin to open this place, I hope the area supports it. I will.

I've never been to the other Elliott Bay locations, but this newer location is really big and open. Went in last night for dinner and drinks with friends. It was a Saturday night and full, but we got a table in about 10 minutes. Service was pretty good, considering how busy they were. Their beer menu is huge, it's hard to decide what to order. One complaint is that their beer menu is only on the board above the bar. It's big, so it was easy to see from where we were sitting, but if you are in the way back - it would be hard to see. In addition, there is no descriptions of their homemade brews, so it is a little hard to choose without asking your server so some descriptions. I did enjoy the pale and the Golden Belgium, and I really enjoyed the fact they had 5 ciders on tap as well, and a bunch of guest beers. The burger was better than your typical bar burger. Lots of selections as well. We also had a half order of the nachos, which were huge and pretty standard. Lots of other items look good on the menu as well. I'll definitely be back to try more...I hear the pickle jar is delicious and they make it all in house. We got a growler to go. The growler itself was cheap ($5), but the fill was $16.80 - expensive! My guess tips they have a range for their beers, but since the prices aren't listed anywhere, it was a bit of a shock. Overall, I was happy with the beer and food, which is what I came for. Definitely want to come back to try more beers.

So far so good... Been going to West Seattle for years. I no longer have to do that to get EBB beers now!

This place is fine. For the price, the food is very average. The service in the dining room can be extremely slow--twice we have been totally ignored and had to wait for 10 minutes just to get water, even though it wasn't busy. It is also extremely loud and very hard to have a conversation. As far as a bar, it's great--just not the best place to get food.

A friend called ahead for reservation but when she got there she was relegated to the bar.

Home of some of the best burgers, salads, fries and other required grub in the area. I had been meaning to try these folks since I spotted the sign, and took a group there the first change I had. We ordered a wide range from the menu and everybody was quite happy with their selections. I have an addiction to their smoked salmon sumak salad, and my wife will always order their sweet potato fries as her prefered side. The house brews range from good to great, and the choice of more than one hard cider makes me quite warm and happy. We have stuck to the beer and cider, so can't say if the bar tender mixes well, but I would take a chance on it. This is a great place to take a group, and they have seating arranged to see the big screen if sports and beer are your thing.

So far they are just A-OK for me. If they were just a well needed new restaurant in the neighborhood I might give them another star but since the whole "Brewhouse" thing I have some critiques. First of all, I can't see the beer list from anywhere except right at the bar. They don't have a printed beer list, the first time I had to go on their website on my phone to get an idea of what they had. The second time we went they started using better chalk on about half of the beer list but I could still only read half of them due to glare. Second, both times we have gone our servers have known absolutely zero about the beers which is especially disappointing when I can't see the beer list. Now on to the positives. It's a large place and aside from opening night we have either been seated right away or not had too long of a wait. I like the atmosphere and I like the food. The spent grain buns on the burgers are great and the burger was substantial without making me feel gross. The turkey bacon melt was very tasty and I like the option to have coleslaw as a side instead of fries. We will try it again since the food is good and it's close and hopefully find out more about their beers without sitting at the bar.

Finally, a great, family friendly, clean restaurant on Lake City! The decor in this place is great, a really wide open space with TVs scattered around the bar. This place is almost identical to rams, except brighter and a little nicer! Our waitress was very kind and was happy to serve us. One small issue came up in the bill, but it was only an additional charge of $1 so we let it pass. I ordered a salad that came with a side of pita, but the pita didn't show up with my salad. I asked the waitress about it, and she was very nice in making sure I got the bread (which was yummy and warm). I got it, but was still charged a dollar extra. Oh well. Tip: check your bill to make sure everything is accurate! Overall great food and atmosphere :)

I don't get the great reviews. My husband and I have tried this place about half a dozen times. We have never left here saying "that was so good!" It's usually more of a "meh". We keep trying...we WANT to like it cause it's a great walk from our house but...eh. The beer is good and service is good but the food is just nothing great.

I really enjoy this place....a gem for the Lake City area. The food has been nothing but good every time. Elk Burger - Excellent. Good salads, sandwiches and options for the sides. The beers are always interesting. On one occasion, our server mixed two ales together and it was fantastic. Service has been great each time. My only little nit is I wish they had more TVs for sporting events. But still, fantastic place.

Glad this place opened in the revived Lake city way neighborhood. It is a great place to grab a beer and a burger. They have an impressive selection of beers on tap. It's a good place for groups or just hang out solo at the huge bar area.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
