Grilled cheese with tomato soup was great, nice staff. My son and I stopped in during the afternoon waiting for our oil change at Firestone. It was a very pleasant experience.

Not sure if this bakery is open. The signs are down. I will plan to stop and update if they are open.

Laura, I appreciate your additional response, and I'm willing to return to give it another try. To clarify, no false statements were made, as I was simply making an observation and not repeating anything that was stated by you. Cheers! Kathy

Would love to be able to say something positive, but I couldn't get a response from repeated attempts to reach Laura for a special order inquiry.

Laura's brownies are amazing! Her cookies are amazing as well (love the classic chocolate chip). I'm giving 4 stars only because the two snicker doodles I purchased were a bit on the crispy side for my personal preference, I wish they were a little soft in the middle (but they were still tasty). Laura was very friendly and helpful. I will return for more gluten free goodies in the future!

Laura's Gourmet Bakery is located among business buildings, which I did not really expect. It looks unassuming on the outside and pretty minimalistic on the inside as you walk through the door. Everything from americano to chai tea to brownies to quiches was priced reasonably. I did, however, have a Groupon Now deal, which entitled me to get a 12oz drink and a pastry (up to $7 value). As I walked in, a friendly lady who came out and greeted me from the back of the bakery. She asked if I'd like to have my drink started, so I order a latte. Because it is amid holidays, there were not too many baked goods to choose from (I was hoping for a peanut butter toffee cookie or something similar...). It was nice to see some GF options though. I ended up with a spinach and feta quiche, which was baked in parchment paper like a muffin, grabbed my latte, have the lady scan my Groupon barcode, and walked out of the bakery as there was no place to sit down and eat. The quiche was not bad, but it definitely was not the mind-blowing-OMG-it-is-sooooo-good kind. I am OK with that. It was warm because the lady microwaved it for me, and I appreciate something warm in my stomach especially when it is cold outside. I think I have to go back there when they have more selections.

They close at 3pm. Owner and baker and everything else. Seems like she should be making more healthy treats, but not doing it out of fear of losing business. place is very hard to find. You have to do a Uturn if coming from anywhere else but from Redmond plateau. Once I got lost trying to follow my GPS. It's about 3 buildings up from Hwang's taekwondo.

Honestly, I would not have known Laura's Gourmet Bakery existed if I didn't encounter it while mindlessly Yelping one day. Although I make the drive into Redmond from the Sammamish plateau very frequently, I've never noticed the small street-side sign. Given the locational intrigue and generally favorable reviews, I decided it was worth checking out. Let's just say, I've been craving Blondies ever since my visit! The menu is posted on a blog each day (which you can access from Yelp), so that helps give a quick preview of what will be offered. I was happily surprised by the offering of gluten-free items as well as non-GF ones. While I don't have a gluten intolerance, I still try to avoid it as often as possible. With that being said, I set out on ordering one GF item and one other treat. I asked (who I assume to be Laura) which was her favorite item & she suggested the Blondie and the Lemon Bundt Cake. I'm usually apprehensive about Blondies seeing as a lot of them are dry, but I ultimately gave it a chance and also opted for a slice of the GF Chocolate Cake. The Blondie was incredibly decadent, it was perfectly hard on the outside but moist on the inside. I loved that it tasted so homemade (in a good way) and was delectable but not overly sweet. While the GF Chocolate Cake was rich with a pleasant pudding middle, it did taste different than your average chocolate cake. While I devoured my sweet treats almost immediately, I had to knock off a star due to location and accessibility. As another review mentioned, you can only access LGB from Northbound Fall City Rd. (away from Sammamish). It's the turn-in right after 185th St, so you'll need to be on the lookout as you're driving. Don't be fooled by the aesthetics, the bakery is located in a business area with lettered suites. The only other setback of LGB are the hours. I completely understand Laura needs to have a life of her own (and time to bake treats for the following day), but I would be ecstatic if the bakery was open late enough for me (and other 9-5ers) to stop by after work for a Blondie or five. Also, they are not open on weekends. All-in-all, I loved this bakery for a variety of reasons. Part of me thinks the odd location and hours add to its charm. It isn't a commercialized bakery, you can tell this is a place that's trying to put down some roots and gain a following. Having recently moved to the PNW, I'm constantly surprised by all of the GF considerations available. Knowing the small size of LGB, I'm impressed that Laura goes out of her way to offer GF items as well. You can tell a lot of heart goes into this small bakery, so I find it almost a shame that there aren't more Yelp reviews. Those Blondies are just so wonderful! Do yourself a favor and stop in if they're open.

Woo Hoo!!! Laura makes the best desserts! I am an absolute sucker for blondie brownies and hers are absolutely perfect. I've even called ahead just to make sure my stash was waiting :) Also love love love the brownies and banana bread. I don't need a gluten free diet but these were gluten free and I could not tell the difference, that's art! Cookies, yumm, biscotti, double yumm, homemade Chai tea, OMG, everyone needs to try the Chai. Breakfast sandwiches are super yummy. I could go on and on. Haven't had a single thing that wasn't simply awesome. Get up there and check it out, I promise you won't be sorry!!!

In summary, my husband's quote: "Wow. This chick can BAKE. Wow. Wowww." Worth the trip. Based on a great reputation I made the trip from Seattle to Sammamish and based on the trip from Seattle to Sammamish I purchased cream puffs dipped in milk chocolate, almond poppy seed muffins, cream cheese brownies and some cookies. Everything was SO delicious! I appreciate Laura's meticulous skills, as evidenced by her baked goods. It sounds like the smoothies are great too - I noticed her impressive ingredient list for them. She is a darling, engaging young woman and gave me six cookies with my purchase! And now I am wild for her toffee peanut butter cookies, go figure. She has free cookie times that she posts on her Facebook page, if I were closer I'd take better advantage of that. Just thinking about her fine baked goods makes me ponder which of my Eastside co-workers is best suited for an early morning pick up.... If your travels take you anywhere remotely in the vicinity - stop here and YUM!

I called several times during business hours before new year and no one answered. I drove by today and found a sign posted on door saying they are temporarily closed due to illness. I hope everything is OK and she reopens soon. Owning a small business is hard work and I thought her baked goods were among the best gf products I've tried. Not to mention very well priced.

I had a coupon so went there to buy 2 mochas and baked goods. The baked goods were not fresh and seemed like a day old. In some of her baked items the smell of egg was overpowering (most likely she skimps on the vanilla extract). The items were overpriced. I would never return here! Its in such a small strip mall, I wonder who her customers were.

I ordered a few hundred baked goods in advance and handed them out today. I have already received comments on how delicious they were! Some of the comments were on the little tarts and cranberry bars. I'm bummed that I didn't order any for me! :) Great job, Laura!

I thought the muffins and brownies were awesome! Not sure why some folks feel they have to get on and trash a small business owner. And more importantly, I would have talked to the owner if I thought there was a problem. Specific to bakeries, there are two independent bakers in Redmond area that I am aware of - unless Safeway and Albertsons are your idea of high end baking.

Laura's is fantastic. First time there today and had a latte, which was perfect, and a couple of fruit smoothies. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in Redmond or north Sammamish who appreciates great espresso and homemade smoothies that are not made from a mix. We will absolutely be back!

I heard about Laura from a friend at a soccer game. I bought my father-in-law 6 pies for a birthday present. He is the ultimate Apple Pie tester - he said it was the most FANTASTIC pie he's ever eaten. The crust was spectacular. Way to go Laura! I finally found a way to please my father-in-law!
