Sushi Paradise Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

  • Erik J.

I've been here a number of times and even though I only gave 3 stars I keep coming back because it's the best cheap all you can eat sushi around. I have to dance carefully around their menu but after enough trial and error I know what I like and what to avoid. My favorites are 911, uncle, and sex on the beach. I don't care for the red dragon. It seems processed. The service is good and the people are friendly. If you are a sushi snob you might not like this place. The fried rolls are very tasty but a bit greasy so I avoid them for the sake of my health. A lot of the items have cream cheese for the filler which I try to avoid, but it's the best bang for your buck as far as AYCE sushi goes. Trapper's is worth paying extra for but sometimes you need to think about your wallet.

Been here a couple of times. They have An all you can eat lunch menu for $11.95/person. The lunch menu has a number of great rolls to choose from. Must say the red dragon has to be my favorite! If you're into spicy the fire cracker is a must! The staff is always very friendly and attentive and the restaurant is very clean. It's quite a distance for me, but highly recommend it if you're in or near the south end!!

All you can eat sushi lunch for 11.95. The sushi was ok but they skimped all the meat and it was mostly just rice and vegetables. AND the best part was they charge $2.50 for a cup of water. What. The. Hell. I wont be going back.

I wish I can give this place ZERO stars. I literally just got home from here and came straight to my computer JUST to wright this review because I'm so (dumbfounded). I'm really confused because this place has good ratings and I am NOT one of those 24/7 yelpers who are super picky- if anything I normally give good reviews but I SPECIFICALLY want to write THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. If a restaurant could be a con artist this place is. You're basically paying $17.99 all you can eat to eat white rice, mayo and imitation crab. One of the rolls I ordered was a Las Vegas roll which is normally comprised of Eel, cucumbers and cream cheese. I took a bite of the first roll and couldn't taste any eel so I looked at the rest of the roll pieces and I found literally A PAPER THIN sized piece of eel hidden in ALL THE RICE. I was so shocked I just laughed. I know it must seem like I am exaggeration but if you must go and waste money yourself, please do. Their fish slices/cuts are a joke. This is a NOT a sushi house it's a rice rip off house. If you're a big sushi fan like me then this place is GARBAGE. I'm so upset I wasted my money here. I woulda rather went to Fred Meyer's and bought their pre-made sushi sets.

Still as good as ever, they have changed ownership (Now its Paradise Roll). Dinner is still 19.95 with a good selection of rolls and nigiri. The Service from our Sushi chef is great, we always try to sit close to our regular guy. We've kind of become regulars, and he makes special rolls for us. The Lunch deal is even better if you just eat rolls (No Nigiri), you get pretty much all the rolls that you can get at dinner, for 11.95! What a steal! Honestly if you are anywhere in the area, this is the one spot. We coming from South Hill, and skip all of those places to come to Paradise Roll Sushi!

We came here after a day at the Fair last year and were pleasantly surprised. Waitress was efficient and FAST and sweet with my 4 year old. Sushi and rolls were great and quickly made. We did all you can eat dinner and there was a lot to choose from. Only "negative" is the decor but hardly something that would keep us away. Great place!!

  • John T.

This place seems to have gotten much worse than it used to be. The all you can eat rolls sound like a good deal but they are mostly rice and the choices are only good if you like fried this or fried that. Bacon rolls...really? This isn't sushi. They use as little quality fish as possible on their rolls. There are better choices around town. We won't be back.

  • John S.

The sushi is some of the best I have ever had. Staff is always friendly and happy to see you. Why go anyware else.

I honestly didn't even want to give this place a star. My first experience here was disappointing. The old lady with the short hair and thick eyeliner greeted us, asked us to pick a seat, then before me and my friend could really sit and catch up she rushed us to pick out plates. And CONTINUES to do so, barely giving us the time to really read the menu and pick out what we wanted to try, or shit even to DIGEST the first plate!!!! Then when I was done with my second plate, she yelled across the restaurant while cleaning 'hey what's next?' Finally I had to hold out my hand and tell her to give us a few minutes, this probably pissed her off because she had the CHEF waited our table instead. Oh not to mention, when I had to use the bathroom, seeing that I was going in as she was coming out, she pointed to the corner and told me 'you go stand there' in such a harsh and rude manner?! Overall I tipped $5 because I felt the chef deserved it, NOT HER!! You open a business hoping for customers and this is how you act, reflect upon your customer service skills PLEASE!!!

Great sushi at an even better price. All the sushi chefs are very friendly and attentive. I have been there several times, and always get quick and friendly service.

better then trapper. you are not waiting in a line when u get there, the sushi taste better, and it is priced 5 dollars cheaper for all u can eat

This is my favorite sushi place, and I make the drive all the way to Puyallup just for my sushi fix. Everything is uber fresh, and of course, they make it right in front of you. I recommend the all-u-can eat lunch or dinner, sidled up to the bar, chatting with your personal sushi chef. They are very outgoing and pretty funny. They even cheer when you walk in the door. I feel like Norm showing up at Cheers for a beer every time I return.

Sushi in puyallup....This is rated by food service and taste of their lunch sushi specials. 11.95 for all you can eat for 26 roll types or 19.95 from their dinner with more specialties. You cant beat that price. My boyfriend and I ordered the mexican and the firecracker which came out in less than five minutes. His roll was definitely spicybut also flavorful and i chosemy roll as the top rated from what i have tasted. The service was superb, super friendly and a playful attitude. We asked for another spicy roll that we havent tried yet andthe sushichef said, "this my special, i make for you." He spent less than ten minutes whipping a bunch of things together and voila! Our own special spicy roll! The only negative is the fighting fish right in front of us was dead, poor guy. No one cares about a fishyou cant eat in a sushi restaraunt. Great place to eat at while your car is being serviced.

Recently moved into the area and we were searching for a good sushi place. Well, we found it at Sushi Paradise. The sushi is delicious, the staff is wonderful and the restaurant is clean and inviting. The staff is great with our children also. I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm getting bento today but they have all you can eat rolls $17.95/person. Add all you can eat nigiri to that for $22.95/person.

  • Andy K.

Here are some of my notes. Take them as you would.... Positives 1) Cheap 2) Friendly staff - very talkative if you ask them questions 3) Serves good japanese beers at a very reasonable price 4) Clean and plenty of seating Negatives 1) The all you can eat $17.95 sushi rolls are substandard, 2) Very little quality fish is available and is sparingly used. 3) All the rolls are basically the same 4) If you don't like cream cheese you are pretty much out of luck 5) Over use of mayo in all the rolls - I've never seen that before except here 6) There really are no truce maki rolls if you want to go on the lighter side 7) Over use of rice & cream cheese and mayo 8) wasabi is old and stale. I don't use ginger so I can't comment on that. Basically everything tasted the same. The sauces are bad and the use of fish in the rolls is minimal.

Wow. Ok for the sushi - 3.5 out of 5 for $11.99, I would go back. NOT (by FAR nowhere NEAR) the best sushi I have had, but for that price, and being a buffet, I will be back. Word to the wise - get there by 11 0r 11:15am because any later they are SWAMPED and you will be waiting. Ok for the employees there - the sushi chefs are nice and personable, the other employees are RUDE with a capital R. They want you to eat and then get the F out of there so they can move and shuffle all the other $12 buffet-ers because to get the buffet deal you actually have to be physically sitting at the bar. It's the most unprofessional and rudest dining experience I have had in years. So "maybe" one day I would return if I were starving, because the sushi is doable, but - other than that, doubtful :)

$11.95 Lunch Special for All you Can Eat? Yes please. A limited but tasty selection, and I had only two rolls before I was stuffed (2 rolls that by themselves would have cost closer to $20). Big portions. I had the Las Vegas roll and the Spicy Tuna. Both extremely delicious. My daughter had a California Roll and some egg rolls. They sat us at the bar and were super friendly. Props to being open on a Sunday too! I'm going back, for sure!

Have been here plenty of times with my husband and we really like it here.. Their sushi is always fresh and meets our high standards.. Lots of options on the menu.. Prices are reasonable.. Not your typical atmosphere for a Japanese restaurant.. Rap music and UFC fights on the TV.. I don't mind but others might.. Service is not always the friendliest.. A couple of times the owner lady was acting so strange that I thought she might of been abducted by aliens :P lol

19.95 dinner time all-you-can-eat sushi 11.95 lunch time all-you-can-eat sushi enough said... Sushi is good, not great, but when your as fat as me you cant go wrong when there is sushi and all you can eat compiled into the same sentence. Whenever i get the big craving for sushi i will drive 20 miles to get to this joint. Fun place to eat and good sushi! Dont hesitate to yell at the sushi chef what you want.

The new name of this place is, "SUSHI PARADISE" Still to this day I believe this is the best Sushi bar for the money. My husband and I cointinue to frequent this place every Saturday night. He loves the Bento Box with the Teriaki Chicken. UM NUM NUM!!!!

  • Gerry W.

Like others here, I took the 4+ star rating to mean that Sushi Paradise was an above average value. Our son, who is vegan, had also heard some good things about the place, so we made the half-hour trip out from Federal Way to try it. The service, if you want to call it that, was spotty. One other review describes it at "disinterested". That would be being generous. We also have at least two Japanese restaurants in Federal Way, who do just as well or better with their food and without the long drive.

Ok place but way too much rice...felt like I was eating a bowl of rice instead of sushi

So I rushed to my laptop as soon as I got back to the hotel to write this review, because I know later I will be under the influence of a major stomach ache. 4 hyphenated words sum up the second best thing about the restaurant: All-you-can-eat! Wow! $15 for as much sushi as you can stuff your face with!? Everything from spicy tuna rolls and crab/scallop, to instant-favorite, house specials like the Mexican (mucho gracias!*) and Rainier Mountain. The sushi itself isn't necessarily the best sushi I've ever had, but it's well far from bad (or even average). Even the most picky sushi connoisseur will enjoy this meal. As soon as you ask for your first roll, you have a double-take thinking you only ordered just the roll. But no, you get as MANY WHOLE ROLLS AS YOU WANT!! Asking for one after the next after the next. I believe I had about 5. Plus 8 pieces of nigiri of your choice? You without a doubt get what you pay for, plus WAY too much more. Now for the best part of this place. The Sushi Chef! An absolute joy to talk with. Very thick Japanese accent makes everything funny he says that much funnier. He jokes around with you as you sit at the bar, *shouting out random things related to your roll. Absolutely loves when you say "hai" and "arigato" to him. At the very end, he gave us an orange panda, which topped off the meal perfectly! All-in-all, a must if you are a sushi lover. You WILL be stuffed, I guarantee it. That says a lot about a sushi place: where you can have good sushi, but still get a lot of food. If you're local, you will become a regular. If you're visiting, it's the perfect spot to stop for dinner! Douzo meshiagare!!

Really? We we're so excited to try this place only to be met with disinterest in serving or entertaining any new customers at 730, a full hour before closing. First they wouldn't let us sit down at a booth, the tried to make us sit at the bar and with 4 of us we were looking to enjoy good food and conversation. They walked away before we done ordering--not even asking what we would like to drink. We in turn walked out. So disappointing.

Service is great! I have never been really big on sushi but this place changed my ways, I will continue to come back here. For what you get here the prices are unbeatable and the taste of the rolls are of great quality. I have to say the place is small and it's not much to look at but I feel the service and the food make up for it as long as you are in good company it doesn't really matter what the decor is.

Best sushi I have found in the Tacoma area. All you can eat makes it even better. Rolls made to order.

  • Jennifer I.

Really awesome sushi. Their lunch time all you can eat deal is worth it. Lunch is about 13 dollars for a one hour sitting with a good selection of rolls.

i just went to this sushi bar because of the reviews that I seen on this sight, and let me tell you it is as good as it gets. The staff were so friendly with helping me decide what special to choose from. were very attentive and made it as inexpensive as possible. the food was fresh and beautifully presented. Very fast service and again quite nice. I will continue to eat there and try all the different styles of rolls.

Ok, so I have been wanting Good Sushi for a while and wanted an all you can eat place. Sushi Paradise did more then just meet my standards they surpassed them by leaps and bounds. When we got there I wasn't sure what to expect because I read the reviews on here and everyone seemed impressed but when we got there the place was empty other then a women and the man behind the sushi bar. We were greeted by the women who was very friendly even teasing My husband and I that they had been there five years and what took us so long to come for a visit, she quickly got us to are seats at the sushi bar (very pretty) and took are drink orders (Ice Tea) and even took the time to explain the Menu a little for the all you can eat sushi rolls. The chef making are sushi rolls did an amazing job he was friendly, polite and also asked if we had any questions, He was very fast with are sushi orders. Each order was just as good if not better then that last after every roll we were impressed even more and when we told him it was are 3 year wedding anniversary he asked if he could make us something special and we agreed he made the most amazing sushi rolls with a lightly torched salmon on top and also decorated the plate with Orange slices, whip cream and a cherry on top and lit the orange skin on fire on top of a wine glass in the center to blow out for good luck. The sushi he made us that wasn't on the Menu was to die for and one of the things I liked best of all was that even after we were super full he still wanted to make us more sushi we walked out of there with are tummy's so full I felt like we could have exploded. We will be going back here from now on when we want Sushi for dinner or Lunch. I truly cannot express how impressed I was with there Sushi rolls and serves.

So after reading all of the reviews and talking to several friends about this place, I had to finally check it out. The sushi here is simply amazing. Everything is extremely fresh and very eye appealing as well as tasty. I had 6 different rolls from the all you cab eat menu and I enjoyed every single one of them. I even had a rolled called the Washington that had apple in it. ( That's a first for me.). All in all, I can't wait to come back here after I wake up from my sushi coma to try more of the numerous selections that they have.

Tried Sushi Paradise for lunch a couple weeks ago and was very impressed with the selection of sushi and had a great lunch there. The all you can eat sushi lunch, at the sushi bar was excellent. I tried three of the rolls and each was well prepared, were beautiful to look at on the plates and tasted great. Was going to stop at 2 rolls but decided to try one more and it was worth it. I had the Seattle Roll (deep fried), the Red Dragon Roll and the Rainbow roll. Next trip I'll try something different. This is currently my go to Sushi place for lunch.

  • Charles P.

Very good sushi. I stumbled upon this place when I couldn't decide what I want for dinner. I was hungry and in a hurry. Well nit much of hurry but more like impatient. So my wife and decided to go here. Love the tuna. I'm picky on how places prepare my tuna. They did an awesome job and couldn't get enough. If you like sushi as much as me I would say stop here. If you know Puyallup its right off river road where the Burger king is.

  • Erin B.

When my brother wanted me to go with him to a sushi place in a strip mall off River Road, I was understandably skeptical. And was I ever *wrong*. Sushi World is now on my list of favorite sushi places (I had to create a new category for it)! The all you can eat buffet style at the sushi bar is a great value, and the sushi chefs are friendly, funny and helpful. There are some great choices and very unique kinds of rolls. The nigiri is very good (apart from the tuna, which was a bit bland and not very fresh). They also have what looks to be a great selection of sake, and a few types of beer, including my recent favorite, Kirin Ichiban! I highly recommend this place, it's the best sushi south of Seattle!

    (5)
  • Matt C.

This place is the best sushi bar I have been to. I have gone in twice now, both times were amazing. They offer individual rolls, but the all you can eat is where it's at. Individual chefs for each section, great selection of rolls, and you get to watch them make it. I have had sushi at a lot of different places, in a lot of different cities, and after two visits, I am going to list this place as my fav. The staff and chefs were super friendly both times as well.

    (5)
  • Jamie T.

Tried this place as it had a higher rating than my two favorite Japanese restaurants in Tacoma. Teriyaki chicken was excellent, but everything else was average. I did not see miso soup or a bento meal that included sushi. It's worth a try as taste is subjective, but I disagree with these 5 star ratings, especially compared to other local places.

    (3)
  • Jason B.

The sushi is good, but certainly not the best I've had. If I'd paid normal sushi prices for it, the rating would be a 4, but for $20 all you can eat (dinner), the rating gets bumped back to a 5. The staff and service deserves the 5, too. Everyone is exceedingly nice and helpful. I ate myself stupid at the bar and was sad that I was so full. That just about says it all.

    (5)
  • Freda C.

Pull up to the Sushi Bar to enjoy the all you can eat rolls! The chefs are friendly and impressed if you can eat more than 4

    (4)
  • Audrey M.

It's perfect. Drinks are not included in the all you can eat price so the bill went up $ 2.

  • Dunja M.

Been back many times, have always been treated very, very friendly and I keep loving the sushi. My current fave is the Tuna handroll, handsdown amazing. Still one of the best Sushi places for me.

great lunch specials , friendly service, and fresh fish.... all you can ask for 11am till 2pm $11.99 all you can eat rolls.... GREAT DEAL!!!

  • Jeff M.

Love. This. Place. I've been going here since they opened it. It's only gotten better. The all you can eat specials are great. Pricing and quality of sushi are great. And the staff are very nice. Almost family like. They also make alot of other dishes so there's something for everyone.

Don't let the bright, distracting, and tacky door decals stop you from coming in. There is good sushi inside and the atmosphere is pleasant. When entering I was greeted immediately by the hostess/waitress. The place was not busy. Only two other people were there. Was offered high bar seats even though I had a toddler with me? Had to ask for a booth. The hostess was nice but seemed distracted with her own personal phone calls. Ordered the all you can eat lunch sushi special for 11.95! You order/get served one dish at a time and once it is finished you can order the second dish. Like I said earlier, the hostess/waitress was preoccupied but the Sushi Chef came over to our table and took our next order quickly The sushi is the best I have had in Puyallup and the price was great. Had to get up and request our drinks be refilled. If the service was better I would have given them 4 stars. Due to the taste of the food and the fact that the Sushi chefs were trying to compensate for the lack of the waitress/hostess attention I will be back and give them a chance for a new review.

I went to this place very hungry, and I'm glad I did! I'm a big fan of nigiri mostly and don't like very many of the heavily sauced or fried rolls, but my boyfriend likes that stuff. It wasn't too busy and the young chef was very attentive to all sitting at the bar. I said I liked Nigiri (because he asked us righ away!) and he kept the plates coming, asking me to try new kinds of fish and it was all VERY VERY good. Super fresh, amazing flavor. He used my boyfriend and I as guinea pigs for culinary experiments asking us "Would you eat (some type of roll) if I made it?" and every time we said of course! He even seared some delicious white tuna right in front of us and garnished it with some tangy sauce. We still talk about that! We were totally stuffed and incredibly happy with the service and the quality. The older chef was really funny and outgoing too, so everyone was in a great mood at the restaurant. We came from Tacoma to go here and would do it again in a heartbeat. $19.95 for all the great sushi you want? can't beat that. Add a hot sake and you've got yourself an overall 5 star experience. I'd recommend this place to anyone who appreciates pure, high quality sushi.

  • Joe M.

All in all it was fun. I didnt make the lunch special price for all you can eat rolls. So the damage was $17.95 plus beverage. Not bad for all you can eat sushi. My chef was very attentive and quick with my next rolls. Also quick to make suggestions. I like spicy food. They had alot to choose from. My chef even mad them a little spicier per my request. They have alot of selections of saki to choose from and a very neat little bar setting to enjoy your meal. They also have tables for larger parties. Didnt expect to find anything like this attached to a K mart in downtown Puyallup. Did I mention they were fast? Couldnt have been any quicker service. Yes.... you can certainly spend alot more money elsewhere. No they dont have the little cutesie revolving carousel of dishes. But, you get the whole roll and the undivided attention of the person who made it. Cool. Are there better places? Sure. But I feel its a pretty tasty spot and a good value for the money. Nice to have it on the south end. I'll be back.

Best priced sushi in the area. Tastes great. LOTS of different kinds of rolls. For people who typically dont like raw fish, they have fried and cooked things in rolls. Also serve cooked asian dishes.

  • Zoey B.

We went here for the first time today, for the all you can eat sushi lunch for $12.95. Friends have been raving about it. Have to say we enjoyed it. Had some different types of sushi. Hubby ordered the Jackpot and to my surprise it had been lightly fried. That was new to us. We got full pretty fast. You order 1 tray at a time. We liked everything we ordered. The chefs are friendly and ready to make whatever you order. It was a nice experience except for..... The young woman who really made herself look like a real Witch (b****h) from San Diego, yelling for all to hear how she wasn't going to pay for something she didn't like and calling the owner lady, money hungry and they would lose a customer for life. I'm sure the owner lady won't be missing you. Get yourself back to California ASAP because you won't be missed. I was embarrassed for her and the person she was with. Some people have no manners, her attitude sucked like most of California! Other than her outburst, we enjoyed our sushi!

  • Janice B.

wah wah.... I am very sad to write this. I took my family here today because I came here 3 years ago with a friend and it was great... Most of the ingredients seemed stale (tempura and rice). Which by the way when eating fish raw is scary! the customer service was nice but I think they knew their product was sub par... struggling business should never risk feeding old stale food and very skimping on the rest of the ingredients. We paid for 6 rolls of mostly rice and a teeny bit of what was supposed to be in the rolls (which was stale). We will look at it as paying it forward. I hope they can rise up and be better then what we ate today. good luck to you. maybe it was a bad day? Idk

Party of seven in for lunch. Food was fast and decent. Didn't realize we were way overcharged until we arrived home. Will be back But will watch for extra charging at register. Note to owner: Your check out isn't customer friendly.

Excellent prices and really great sushi. Perfect spot to come and grab fresh sushi fast. If you sit at the bar they treat you like kings. I will be back.

Hands down the best sushi spot in puyallup. My favorite is the Crunch and Yummy Yummy rolls. I've never had a bad Roll from them and this is my go to spot when I'm craving the good goods.

  • Katie S.

I was not so interested in coming here since I love sampling all kinds of different sushi at once and on the all you can eat menu here it means you have to finish one roll before you can order a different one. Anyway, my brother was psyched for ayce nigiri and sushi for under $30, so we came in and took a seat at the bar. The variety is extensive and these chefs will tweak anything to your liking. That's a HUGE plus to get it exactly the way you want it. Roll portions are large and I tapped out at two, but my brother got down three and had four nigiri plates (2 per plate). Rolls might appear to be run of the mill, but have many creative surprises like adding banana or deep fried (both not my fave, I like sushi simple and clean). It's fun though and surprisingly FAST! Speaking of fish, my brother's nigiri was fantastic. This place is absolutely a great arena to taste tuna, red snapper, yellowtail etc and really test your palate. I recommend the world roll for tuna fans. We'll be back!

    (4)
  • Larry V.

I'd give this place a 2.5. The sushi us sub par. It's mostly rice and cream cheese deep fried with sauce drizzled on it. Seemed very low quality, the service was good but i was there for the food. If you like deep fried style sushi with cream cheese then this place is right up your ally, if you are looking for authentic sushi then keep moving.

  • Melissa D.

First off, the woman who is primarily a server, is so extremely rude I'm surprised I have seen more comments on her. She only wants you to sit at the bar, and won't let you sit at the booth unless you physically just sit down. When you ask for something she mumbles in her language to the guys behind the sushi bar and they all look at you. The food was cold and soggy. Their portions are good but it's not worth it's

This is my favorite place. I go here a lot . This place has all you can eat sushi. The price for rolls only is $19.95 and rolls+nigiri is $27.95 This prices beats all other sushi joints as far as I know. When it comes to sushi I can eat a lot. I eat about 5 to 6 plates. What I eat here, I could easily spend $60 and up in other places . The stuff is really friendly and like to joke sometimes. The sushi itself is also good quality. My favorite sushi is 911, play boy, hurricane, dancing, and New York.

Great sushi, and even better service. The chefs are so nice and even if we haven't been in for 6 months to a year they still remember us.

  • Woody U.

Average sushi style food. I would not call this place a sushi restaurant. Nigiri fish precut, avocado precut and flesh brown. Severs speak Korean which is awesome, considering the Japanese occupation of Korea during WW II. I guess the Korean owners are comfortable with current Japanese food culture and find it marketable. However what's not so nice is they assume that non Koreans cannot understand them. My Korean is weak but I understood enough to know they were saying not so nice things about their customers who were in hearing distance. Shockingly, these were good customers who are regulars and were not rude in any way. I ordered the most expensive items on their menu to test the quality of their fish. Most disappointing was the Yellow tail fish that they labeled as hamachi , it was not Japanese amberjack. The piece of fish I was served was more likely a Korean yellowtail tuna placed on rice about 4 TBS thick. The slice of fish was mostly frozen and the chef knew it, but still served it, very unprofessional. There was consistent excessive amounts of rice on the rolls and precut sushi. Rice is fine but it's much cheaper than fish and too much is bad. I've had nicer quality fish at trappers and my servers were not Asian, but that doesn't really matter. You don't have to be Japanese to make wonderful sushi, there just must be respect and care when preparing the ingredients. Finally, fish labeled as Red snapper (salt water fish) by the owners was incorrect. In actuality the fish was Izumadai, or more commonly known as tilapia or African soul. Tilapia is a fresh water fish that is more dangerous to consume raw due to parasites endemic to all fresh water fish. I hope the best for the owners, but I won't be returning bc I do not want to risk getting sick. I can only imagine their competitive advantage is that there are few competitors in Puyallup for this style of food. If you like lots of rice rolled with a little bit of mislabeled fish deep inside of imitation krab, you may like it here. *after reading other reviews I have decided to change my *** to **. Doesn't seem the owners realize how sub mediocre the quality of their food is on a consistent basis.

Eat all you can sushi!! Best sushi place ever

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews. I eat sushi all the time and this place is terrible. The service was good, but the sushi is definitely sub-par. It's mostly rice or other cheaper ingredients. Very little fish. Also, every roll is smothered in sauce. Not a fan. Won't come back. It's also nearly $30 if you want nigiri and not just rolls with your all you can eat.

My husband and I have been coming here since the place opened and had different ownership. We love it! Today he did the all you can eat for $19 and I got the 2 rolls for $12.95, our rolls were delish as usual. My husband got world rolls and foxys. I got the samurai. The chefs are friendly and remember us when we come in. Definitely our sushi go to in the area.

This is the best sushi place! My friends and i come here all the time and the owners seem to remember us. $20 all you can eat fresh sushi. So good! Try the boyfriend roll.

Completely agree with Kevin A. This place deserves 2 stars at best and that's only because the people were nice. First, the pieces of raw fish were pre-cut and literally see through. That's not a joke. And unfortunately this seems to be a theme among Korean owned restaurants that serve anything but Korean cuisine. Corners get cut to maximize profits. Enough with the Korean hate even though I am Korean myself. You will find nothing here worth your hard earned money. It's a lot of filler, little to no fish. Don't expect to find green tea here either. A staple at any sushi restaurant is substituted for black tea in a mug. I'm starting to lose a lot of faith in yelpers in the Washington area. This is the forth place I've tried based on yelp reviews, and have unfortunately been let down in dramatic fashion.

Nice all you can eat for $12.99 but we opted for 2 69rolls there which were amazing and very reasonably priced. Clean kinda basic sushi place, but tasted fresh and got very fast. Are server was friendly and attentive, and I don't feel like I'm going to throw up yet so that's a bonus.

Hostess-owners wife i believe- is rude and has a pissy attitude. Maybe she needs a 101 on customer service. Food is mediocre at best. There are far better places than this. All the other reviews pretty much sum up this place. It doesn't even deserve 1 start.

Sushi Niwa is now the best sushi I've had in all of Washington. And it's priced VERY reasonably. Forget sushi paradise and its grumpy hostess!

For the price it's ok, but I've DEFINITELY had better sushi within a 15 mile radius of this place. The boyfriend and I went there after seeing all these great reviews and . I left underwhelmed that's for sure. I had the 2 roll special for 11.95, because I felt I wasn't quite hungry enough to benefit from the all you can eat. I chose the samurai roll and the Jackpot roll. Both rolls were decent size...big enough to not be disappointed but small enough to eat comfortably with chopsticks. The samurai had good flavor but the jackpot was a huge disappointment. It is a deep fried roll and the thing was just soaked in grease and was missing the crispy texture you are supposed to get with a fried roll! The thing literally tasted of grease. I don't think they have the heat high enough on their fryer as this is a common problem with food fried in low temp oil. My boyfriend had a bento special which included spicy chicken, shrimp tempura, a california roll, rice and gyoza...first off, there was NOTHING spicy about the "spicy chicken", so he was VERY disappointed in that. Secondly AGAIN, the tempura was a greasy soggy mess...SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR FRYER!!! He didn't eat the rice and since he's not a huge fan of plain ol' california rolls he ate it but wasn't really pleased. The server was friendly and the food came out fast, but unfortunately for me my sushi came out a bit earlier than the boyfriends, so the timing was a bit off (I think this is a big problem when your kitchen and wait staff can't get their timing together so everyone in the party can eat at the same time) I would have preferred waiting an additional 5 minutes to get the heat right on their fryer so our fried foods would have tasted better.

First Impression: Cute little place! Very clean, everyone that worked there was friendly and made me feel very welcomed. Food: The first roll I had was called "Foxy"; it had spicy crab, shrimp tempura, and spicy tuna. I thought it was fabulous! It was very light and none of the ingredients overpowered the other. The second roll I tried was "Sex on the beach." It had spicy tuna, cucumber, and was topped with spicy crab and salmon. I wasn't very found of this one. I think it had too much sauce, which made it overpowering. Price: I paid $12.95 for 2 rolls, which I thought was a good price. I also paid $5.95 for a little plate of iceberg lettuce and cucumbers (my daughter doesn't eat sushi), no dressing or anything just veggies...That to me what a bit over priced. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a good time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the Puyallup area.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Sushi paradise, it was a nice run of delicious all you can eat sushi but alas my love affair with you is over. I came here on NYE for dinner and found the brown sauce that you drizzle on everything contained chopped hairs. Copious amounts, to the point where my fiancé made the remark of "looks like the sink after I shave." We found this sauce was on his sushi roll too, also containing chopped hair. When I asked the sushi chef what the sauce contained, I was told eel. I asked what the hairs were. They informed me it was the whiskers from the eel. All 3 chefs took my plate to the sink and didn't speak any English. After which the service turned very cold, and we forced ourselves to finish our rolls for fear of being "charged for leftovers." We left after paying full price, and didn't get our usual "see you later." I couldn't get out of there fast enough. For shame.

One of the best "all you can eat" sushi places I've ever been too. The best part about this place is even with the awesome deal you get and good sushi, it's never packed. Great service, friendly staff and good sushi! Highly recommend this place!

I had the Puyallup and sex on the beach roll. Both were really good. It was $12.95 for two rolls and they filled me up. They only had one other customer so the wait staff was really attentive and we got our rolls really quickly. They have a handful of different beers available in bottle. I tried the black butte and it went well with the sushi. Don't forget to grab a dum dum sucker on the way out

EPIC YELP FAIL!!! WTF YELPERS?!? For the record, I would have given 2 stars due to the service being quick and friendly and the fish being reasonably fresh. My 1-star is an attempt to do my part to correct a completely undeserved 4-star rating. Ok, I should have known better than to go to an AYCE sushi place, just like I should have know better than to eat Korean sushi, but still, it's 4 stars, right??? And of course it was the only thing in Puyallup open past 9p which just completed the setup. FYI the reason so many reviewers talk about "how full they got" after just two rolls is because each roll contains about 1/2 a lb of fake crab and 2 cups of poorly-seasoned rice. In fact, you'll be hard-pressed to find a single roll that DOESN'T have krab in it. The first roll I ordered had tempura shrimp...usually a safe place to start. However, my shrimp was pulled off a tray of about 50 pre-fried pieces, so wasn't warm (which I could live with) but was also not remotely crispy. BTW I was the only customer in the restaurant and would remain that way till I left 20 minutes before they closed. Don't even want to think when that tray of shrimp was fried or where the rest of it was going to end up... So, I stupidly up the ante from the $19.95 AYCE roll failure to the $27.95 roll or nigiri deal. I order maguro (i.e. tuna), albacore, and hamachi (i.e. yellowtail). Again, everything was reasonably fresh, but the quality of the cuts was HORRIBLE and each piece of fish was on a 2-oz bed of aforementioned nasty rice. The albacore was passable, one of the pieces of hamachi was a little gristly and too close to the bloodline (therefore very fishy), the other was just kinda fishy, and the maguro was almost as white in color as red snapper--and utterly flavorless. When the chef asked if everything was good, I just couldn't bring myself to answer--partly due to my disappointment but mostly due to the gigantic rice ball in my mouth. Feeling like I was now pretty much running out of options, I decided to go back to rolls and ordered a spider roll. On my plate in 60 seconds flat! ...Meaning the soft shell crab was also cooked LONG in advance. When I bit into it, the crab was so tough I could barely chew it. At this point I decided it was time to tap out, economics be damned. I did a tad better than the AYCE price by having them charge me a la carte, but still the damage was $27 pre-tip for 2 horrible rolls and 3 orders of nigiri. Ultimately, I just can't figure out a reason this place should exist. (Unless maybe you're a big dude and can put away 5+ rolls??) For similar pricing you could eat MUCH better sushi at Forever Sushi just 3 miles away. Yeah, it's a conveyor belt joint, but the fish is WAY better, they'll make things to order, even the pre-made stuff on the belt doesn't seem too old, and the rice/crab ratios are appropriate. God please don't let me have food poisoning tomorrow...

Revitalizing their menu is genius! They have rolls with bacon, deep fried calamari topped rolls or in the roll, sweet potato, and of course banana. They have a little more deep fried rolls which are my favorite. Out of the new rolls I tried, the "D.C." roll (not fried) is my favorite! The apple and cucumber compliment the salmon real well and the seaweed ties it all together! I can't wait for the next rolls they come up with! And yes, it's still all-you-can-eat rolls!!!! Yummy!

  • Sabrina L.

Pretty decent sushi place my boyfriend and I like to visit. If you're like me, you won't benefit from the AYCE dinner but the AYCE lunch and the 2 for 12 dinner deal are perfect since I can only eat two rolls max. Nice selection of sushi, wish it was a little more varied and had less deep fried rolls. Wouldn't really recommend those as they tend to be soggy and kind of gross. Other than that you can't really go wrong, though my favorite is the Crunch! If you want the deals you sit at the bar, though a few times I've gone with larger parties so we sit at a table. The regular menu is okay. I've had the bentos and they are generous! Overall a pretty good place that's worth a visit.

Decent, really decent all-you-can-eat. The staff is funny and remembers you! Fresh food and quick service. Anything deep fried can be a crap-shoot but that's true in any Asian fare.

Great sushi! The all you can eat menu is really delicious. If you get there between 3 and 5 it's quiet, not as rushed as during lunch rush and if you let the chef know what you like and keep an open mind they come up with interesting creations. Even the ones the student makes is great.

  • Chris S.

First off...GREAT price! 17.95 for all you can eat sushi or 11.95 for two rolls...are you KIDDING me! that's amazing. The fish was fresh (sometime at Trappers I feel like it's super fishy) and it's cut thin and well (again, unlike Trappers). The one server who has always been there when we go is great. She's a little sassy (which I find funny), but she is so nice to our son! She always brings him rice and a sucker so he's happy. My favorite roll was the 911...great place, I highly recommend!

Open on Sundays, need I say more?!?!? These guys are really friendly and remember us. I regularly get the katsu with a side order of egg rolls. I'd say that they are just above average when it comes to teriyaki. They've got some great sushi selections and did I mention that they are open on Sundays! Not too many teriyaki places are open, yet there is another one down the street from this place that is as well. This one is better! One time they had just closed the doors and opened just to get us our order. They've earned my return business, over and over again.

I only ordered Double Double as my first plate. After that, I ordered a Spider up to three times. I got full. Most of my family ended up trying the Spider. It was enjoying. The employees are super friendly, best customer service. The sushi chef prepares your meal professionally. I am aware they were Korean. They did a fantastic job, and I only had two different rolls. You get a lollipop after you're done eating. Plus, they have bubble tea! That's a bonus.

This place was as I expected. I came here a few years ago- tried it twice I believe. I wanted to try this place out BECAUSE every other sushi place... sucks near where I live. After eating such delicious SUSHI from California.. I thought I would die without.. any GOOD stuff. I came here during lunch time (because that is when I had time) and we wanted to sit in a booth to talk but the lady insisted we sit at the sushi bar. I forgot about their lunch all you can eat ($11.95?) and wanted to eat some actually nigiri and even sashimi. But looked at the pricing on the rolls.. and decided it was probably better to eat all you can eat. After working at 2 sushi restaurants.. I know what all you can eat's can do. They add tons of rice on the rolls to fill you up. I have to say.. the first time I came here without eating all you can eat- the rice was decently portioned. My latest experience.. I basically only ordered 2 rolls.. and the 2nd one I had... was hard to swallow without water every bite. I give them 4 stars because they are the most decent in Puyallup/Tacoma (so far) and the owner happened to remember me!! I have been there TWICE ... 2 years ago.. haha! Well, you know how koreans are I guess! I definitely will be coming back here:)

After moving to the area and looking for a new sushi place we came upon Sushi Paradise. My boyfriend and I both did the AYCE special for dinner and it was fantastic. Great sushi for a great price. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend for your sushi fix!

Love the all you can eat sushi for 12$for lunch and 18$ for dinner. I don't get anything else other than the all you can eat cause buying individually seems more expensive to me. And YOU HAVE TO FINISH EVERYTHING OTHERWISE YOU PAY FOR LEFTOVERS!

We were in the mood for sushi in the area, did a search on Yelp and found this place being the closest with decent reviews. The local Yelpers did not disappoint me, this place was delicious! I was a bit uneasy when I realized the owner lady is Korean, but felt more comfortable when the chefs started speaking Japanese. We sat at the bar, it seems like they have two prices for their AYCE option with a roll only option and a more expensive nigiri option. We decided to went with rolls as the choices seems fulfilling enough. They seems to enjoy using pink sweet sauce in most of their rolls, and they went very well with the overall flavor for them surprisingly. Favorite rolls were definitely "Sex on the Beach" and "Red Dragon", and the most creative one was Samurai with dried tofu skins. Sushi Paradise is definitely a great place for sushi in the Puyallup area, I will most likely return here when I am in the area again.

This is an all you can eat sushi roll place, and it's very unique. First of all, I don't think there's any restaurant that does AYCE SUSHI ROLLS...I come from Vancouver, and we don't have any of that there. We have AYCE sushi, but not these special sushi rolls. Their rolls have interesting names, with interesting combinations. For example, the Washington Roll. It has apple slices in it! I didn't think apples can be so tasty in a sushi roll, but it works! Their Monkey Brain is unique as well, as it is deep fried. *Q* AMAZING~~~ Sometimes, during lunch, when there aren't many people, the chef might ask you if you want the Chef's Special. It's whatever combination he thinks is good, and both times I've been offered the Special, they were really tasty. You can't ask for the Special, but you have to wait for the Chef to offer it to you. :) The price is pretty expensive, but WORTH IT. I would definitely come back when I have the chance to! Beautiful rolls with exceptional taste.

All you can eat sushi for $19.95 nigiri for $22.95 -- such a great deal! I absolutely love this place. The chef's are so fun & friendly, they always remember me and we have great conversation. The fish is fresh, the rolls are delicious, and I always recommend them to everyone! My favorite sushi in the south end - by far :)

Not the best sushi but not the worst. All of the sushi tasted alike as well. My wife thought that the sushi was dry too. It was also odd that all of the rolls that we ordered had fried shrimp in it, really? If you are a seasoned sushi eater, don't waste your time here. The customer service was the best experience, they greet you as you walk in.

I see that most of the good ratings are on the sushi, so I might go back and try the sushi. I ate a bento, and it was just ok. I chicken was part crispy, and part soggy. I thought that our server was not overly friendly, she was ok, but just a little off. The portions were decent, and the price for the quality, was just ok, so I give it an a-ok rating....

Bookmarked this sushi joint a while back but didn't get a chance to venture to this area until the other day when the Hubby had a massive craving for sushi and well I can never say no to sushi! Surprise, Surprise! First of all I had a few doubts seeing that the address was on River Road and also the fact that it was a 5 star rating and had a decent amount of reviews..... I started to give this place a 4 but then my daughter coaxed me into keeping the 5 star rating due to the so many factors: $19.95 for All u can eat?!?!?! Pretty deelicious and fresh sushi Fast and Friendly service Korean owned (wink, wink) Bubble Tea!!!! Upon walking in the place was slightly filled with to-go customers and the bar for the all you can eat was slightly full:( To our surprise we were greeted and explained how the all you can eat worked and what was available. We quickly decided to sit at the bar that was all of a sudden had space for us to sit! Immediately we were asked what dish we wanted to start with and the feast began......We ordered sake to help keep the pace of eating and after listening to the owners speak, realized they were Korean and asked if they served kimchi, YES!!! Our bellies seemed to get full waaaayyyy to quickly:( but I can say we got our moneys worth... We will definately be back Sushi Paradise!!!

This was my first sushi excursion since moving up to Washington. We came here after going to the fair, which was conveniently located 5 mins away. We ordered the all you can eat sushi which is a good deal if you order at least 3 rolls. Since I am allergic to shrimp, my choices are limited and I was bummed that half of the rolls had shrimp, but they were awesome and substituted crab for shrimp. Bonus points for being awesome. Overall the rolls were pretty good. I don't have a baseline for sushi up here, so I can only compare to sushi in California, which nothing compares to. The rolls were generously filled with fish, and the service was great.

  • Lehua S.

Not the greatest sushi place around, the menu could use more choices (a lot of their stuff contains the same ingredients just jumbled.. I.e. imitation crab and cream cheese) Would be better if it was cheaper because it wasn't on par with other places around the area. The workers were somewhat awkward and unprofessional but still friendly if anything. The monkey brain was kind of horrible, much better at California monster in Kent, which can be said about everything else too really. Bottom line: won't be coming back :/

  • Heather M.

My wife and I came here after checking out the Puyallop fair last month. I was amazed at the price for all-you-can-eat rolls. However, I soon realized WHY is was such a good deal. They use almost exactly the same ingredients for each roll. They also have a high rice to filling ratio on most of the rolls. Needless to say, I probably wouldn't go here again for all-you-can-eat; but I wouldn't mind coming back to try the specialty rolls that aren't part of the deal. Of course, you'll pay full price for those. All in all, this place is just okay. If you're looking for quality, as oppose to quantity, I recommend either ordering their specialty rolls that aren't a part of the deal OR going somewhere else! If you're a newbie to sushi, or don't like a good variety of ingredients in your sushi rolls, this is definitely the place for you!

  • Phi V.

Good sushi, I'm not the most picky eater and if you are in the mood for sushi this is a good place to try. The all you can eat sounds like a good deal but I got full after two plates and went for the 2 for 11.95 during lunch. The place wasn't too busy and I went Saturday during lunch. I sat at the bar and the chef waits for your order and makes it fast. I wasn't ready to order and he kept asking which roll I was going to order a lot. You could sit down at a table if you're not doing all you can eat. I came in and was greeted nicely by a lady. The fried rolls didn't taste too good to me because it was just a mouthful of the bland rice with an off tasting crispy exterior. My experience was good. Sushi was average and satisfied my appetite. Would go again.

All you can eat sushi or order from their menu. I definitely think the all you can eat sushi is a better bargin than their menu, but they also have some interesting selection on their menu. They serve a lunch all you can eat with about 25 different sushi selection for 11.95 from 11-2. Their dinner all you can eat include nigaris and the more expensive rolls you'll find at common sushi bar. Dinner all you can eat are 19.99 but still a fairly good bargin. Their sushi are full roll, and not a split roll like the conveyor belt sushi. So normally 2-3 rolls are enough to fill a person up. They also have a wide selection of philidephia style sushi roll. I recommend the river road and double double if you come here during lunch. The sushi chef are nice and friendly. If its not busy, get the time to know them. You'll find that they remember who you are and greet you by name when you walk in, and pay extra attention to you when you're there. The host is also a very nice lady.

This is by far the best sushi place I have ever been to, me and my best friend swear by it. I come here as often as I can. The chefs are really great at what they do. They are so friendly and love to crack jokes. I live in Tacoma but it is well worth the drive. Customer service is great, very fast and friendly. Mmm I'm craving their sushi right now.

I came here with a friend who told me it is the best all you can eat sushi. Like most sushi lovers, all you can eat sushi can mean something very very scary. They have to pricing options rolls or rolls & nigiri. They have some pretty creative rolls, like one with bananas. I ordered what sounded good and what sounded interesting and was surprised at how delicious it was! I don't remember how much I paid, but for the price and the taste it was really worth it.

AYCE Lunch rolls for $11.95? Amazing! The rolls are always amazing and the staff is so friendly! This is definitely my favorite place for sushi! The Roman Holiday and Kentucky are my favorites.

  • Andrew K.

Stuffed my face with so much AYCE sushi that I barely had to eat anything the following day. They charge $17.95 for AYCE rolls and 22.95 for rolls and nigiri. Honestly, the sushi was actually quite good. They had a variety of over 20 different rolls to choose from and all the ones I tried were great. It's good to go with a group and share each others rolls so that you can get a nice variety because each roll comes with about 8 pieces. I ended up finishing 5 rolls...which adds up to 40 pieces...wow I'm such a fatty. I don't think I've ever had so much sushi in my l but seriously it was awesome. The sushi makers were all really funny too. You sit at a sushi bar and they take your order and make jokes with you the entire time. Good conversation, similar to being a bartender I guess. Overall, just a good place to get your grub on, just make sure you come exteremely hungry.

I came here with my boyfriend after hearing multiple positive reviews from my friends. We came for the lunch buffet and ordered mostly rolls that we have never heard of before. The sushi was not that great. They make it with tons of rice and hardly any meat. So us getting full was primarily from all the rice that was included in the rolls. I don't think I'll ever be coming back to this place again but it wasn't awful here. The chefs were pretty attentive and friendly. I wonder if they're actually Japanese.

I was nervous for all you can eat sushi, but it was very good. They are very friendly. Great deal and good sushi!!

All you can eat sushi for $17?!? Best deal in town, considering most of us eat at least 4 rolls, which would typically run you around $10-$15/roll. Ask the sushi masters to make you something special..you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for some creative, americanized sushi rolls, this is the place to go.

Frankly it's surprising that this place has got quite a bit of positive reviews...maybe because of the location? Being from Sapporo, Japan where is well known for fantastic seafood, sushi isn't worth eating if it's not good enough. But my expectation is low in this area otherwise I can't eat any! Please don't think I'm a snob. But...$11.95 for all-you-can-eat below mediocre rolls with combinations of fake crab (the menu just says "crab", which is inaccurate), tiny bit of salmon, cucumber, avocado, tiny bit of fried shrimp, spicy tuna and a few other things isn't really worth it. There were 28 kinds of rolls, but with those limited ingredients, there are limits. All-you-can-eat rolls would have been awesome when I was 17 who was growing and almost always hungry, but that was a long time ago. If you want authentic Japanese food with better quality, drive a few minutes more and go to Kanpai. They do serve lunch special with large amount of food. And price is $1 less. If you like rolls, try Gari of Sushi in Tacoma owned by a Japanese chef makes interesting (and again, better) rolls. If you're 17 and don't care what you eat as long as you get full for the next few hours, Sushi Paradise is it. Go with large appetite...you'll be charged for leftover food and can't order the next one until you finished your plate. The service was decent. The guy who was making rolls was friendly. Clean.

Can't argue about an 11.95 lunch special.. It was a pretty good deal, but all the rolls were generally the same. Mainly made with a california base. I ordered a Philly roll and there was hardly any salmon in it.. It was like eating rice and cream cheese. Not bad, but not GREAT.

This place used to be called "Sushi World" It is now Sushi Paradise and is in the same location. Note this; they are the same owners, and pretty much the same staff mostly Korean which is partly why it is so good. The prices are as follows; $11.95 for lunch or $19.95 for dinner, you can get the dinner menu at anytime which includes a few more rolls and all the nigiri, the lunch menu does not include nigiri. These prices are great if you want to explore many options without spending too much. For example, I priced out exactly what I ordered if I was to order it Ala cart off the menu. I paid $19.95 for all you can eat but actually at $62 dollars worth...I like the expensive stuff. For me this place is not the quintessential sushi spot. I would call myself a sushi brat, I am not reviewing this place as compared to Morimoto's place to which I spent $200 dollars. This is just a good sushi place especially for Puyallup. I have never had a bad tasting dish here, always pretty fresh. I generally stay away from the rolls, and eat mostly the nigiri. Many people like their rolls, I have my favorites, but most of them have too much going on and include some overly sweet sauces. I come here and eat mostly Hamachi & Super white tuna which is either called shiro maguro or may even be escolar, not sure but it is great! I like the more pure raw items. Do not get me wrong the rolls can be good and can even be fun. I like that on the menu they have a roll called "Hot Night" and right after that they have a roll called "The Viagra Roll" So either you have a hot night and Viagra or you had Viagra and all of a sudden you are having a hot rashy kind of night..... I would have a hard time ordering these two in sequence or even ordering a ROLL called Viagra, I guess if the roll stays a roll for more than 3 hours you need to call a doctor?! Be sure and not order more than you can eat, if you do they will charge you for what is left, and you may not take it home even though you have to pay for it. If you like sushi and are in the area give this place a try. Most Puyallup-ians may or may not know what sushi is outside of the conveyor sushi arena, but go ahead and bring the whole trailer/family with you and bring some culture in your life :) I love living in Puyallup!

This is probably one of the better AYCE/designer roll sushi places, I think completely on par with Trapper's. I guess I should confess here that to me that AYCE and designer rolls (most items contain cream cheese and/or have something fried) are for my fellow white-bread friends and relatives who fear sushi or don't know what good sushi is. It's like a microwave pizza instead of wood fired. They both have there places. I wouldn't get nigiri here. OK, why four stars? I think they do a great job for what they do. I also adored my chef - very hospitable! Bonus points to the big smile he gave when I told him " Kamsahamnida!" and not the traditional "Domo arigato!" (Most if not all Chinese/Teriyaki/Sushi places in Puyallup are Korean run - just wish we had a Korean bbq closer than Lakewood or Federal Way). So if you like Trapper's - try Sushi Paradise.
