They finally opened this place after like five years of saying "coming soon". Well we decided to go here for lunch, and man was I disappointed. We got the chips and they were soft and chewy, not cooked at all. When we asked for some new ones the waiter seemed very agitated, and told the bus boy to come and get new chips very rudely. After that they treated us like we were going to complain about everything. You know that attitude, when you order its quick no eye contact and they grab the menus out of your hand and rush so they don't have to deal with you. We never saw our waiter again until we got our bill. Then they gave us the wrong bill, and when asked for the right one he insisted that was the right one. I din't order two tacos man I know what I ate. Whether the bill is cheaper or not I always pay for the right thing, its a moral thing. And Mexican restaurants need to realize that other people know how to speak and understand spanish, and when you gonna insult somebody under your breath better make sure they haven't taken that language deuch bag. So I will never go here again. Oh and if you live in this area parking sucks and its either street or around the corner. Walkings no big deal to me, but some people it is so heads up.

Better service I have not experienced anywhere. They are so good it's almost scary, but that's OK! Also very friendly. Always seated immediately, provided hot off the press tortilla chips to munch on off the bat. The salsa is perfect. Fresh, spicy but not too spicy, just the right amount of veggies, and you even get your own cup. If you are hungry and don't want to wait this is an ideal destination. The entrees don't necessarily stand out above other Mexican restaurants, but I can't think of anywhere that is notably better either except for maybe Rancho Ramona back in the day which was my all time favorite. I usually order the Mazatlan Feast and my steak is always cooked perfectly although I've had better tasting steaks at steakhouses.

We have eaten there for 2 years and have always gotten mediocre service. It was close to our house so we would suffer through it. Tonight is the last night waited in the bar for 15 minutes for the first round (two of us). We waited 15 more minutes for menu. Then 40 minutes with no drinks left and our order not taken. We left and the waitress apologized and said " there is only one of me". If your not able to handle all the tables get your bartender or your manager to help you. Terrible service will never return and never recommend that place.

We usually eat here, at least for 7 years since we moved to Puyallup. We won't patronize this restaurant again. I called to reserve banquet room for a party. I was told that our reservation was on the books. When I confirmed a month before and after I made invites, the manager woman said that they charged for that room and it is St Pattys day. They wanted my guests to park at safeway and me to buy a taco buffet for $16 per guest for a taco bar??? (little greedy) We ended up at Rio Blanco, where each guest picked from the menu and drank liquor 25 guests were under $500.00 Go visit Rio Blanco for your Party in Puyallup. We won't give our money to Mazatlan... Poor Choice Manager.

I've eaten at some really bad Mazatlan. But this location has been good. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Pricing is a bit high, however the size portion is good. The last time we where there the chip where on the over done side. They have a huge parking lot and even when the parking lot is full you can still walk in and get a table. We have never had to wait.
