Out & About Burgers Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I'm from California and have been spoiled with In-N-Out burgers for as long as I can remember. Used to make my hubby make late night runs during the preggo days. This sure has its similarities to the king of all burgers and does hits the spot. So I'd say this Cali girl is happy until the next Cali visit. Reason for 1 star knocked off is because the onion rings were kinda burnt. It does have amazing flavor, but the burnt taste lingers and isn't a good after taste. The sweet potatoe fries Cagney style was really good. Wished they put more cheese on it. All in all this place is good and we would definitely come back.

Yep...It's a trailer in a Uhaul parking lot. Don't let that stop you. When we found this place, we were a little disappointed. Disappointed that it took so long to find a good burger place when there was a good, economical place just down the road! The staff is awesome, the burgers are great, the house sauce is amazing, and it's ALWAYS fresh food. Our favorite part - $1 Ice Cream Cones. We don't care if it's winter or not. :) I'd highly recommend this place!

This place is delicious!!!! I love there Burger's and fries I do wish they put pickles on the burgers though it would make it taste ten times better:p

If your looking for a greasy, thin in and out style burgers, shakes, and amazing sweet potato fries, this is your place! The shakes are thick and delicious and the burgers are amusing but small so get a double of you're hungry!! The sweet potato fries are great but the onion rings are out of this world! I dream about them for real!!!!

  • Randy C.

Get the double cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, and chocolate milkshake. Your stomach with growl with pleasure so loudly that the gods themselves will weep. All of Asgard would go weak in the knees for this combination, an you will too.

I'm not a fan of burgers, I grew up in California and the only burgers I like are inn and out animal style cheese burgers. So when multiple people likened it to inn and out I had to try it! I was not disappointed. The burger was delicious, definitely hit the spot, the only regret I had was not getting a double double instead of a single cheeseburger.

  • Andy W.

This place is fantastic, the burgers were delicious and greasy but not too greasy just greasy enough. The onion rings were very good and homemade and the fry sauce had great flavor to it. Anyone who compares this to In-n-Out is crazy, this place is so much better it's not even in the same ballpark.

Service has alway been friendly and warm. The last time I had a burger from here the patty was so thin it was pretty much non-existent. It tasted like a good burger but with no hamburger if that even makes sense. The sweet potato fries are delicious. I might give their burgers another chance.

Okay, so here is my tiny disclaimer about this place. *its darn close to in n'out burgers... but it's not* A coworker of mine recommended this tiny little shack since we both came from California. To him, he said 'Their burgers taste like in n'out.' Is this possible?! No way on earth did he say such blasphemy!! (I kid, I kid...not really) So I called up my sister and we made the trek down to Puyallup to go search for this burger. First off, the it was a bitch to get to. If you don't pay attention, you 'll easily miss it. Second, it's a shack!!! It's a drive up little burger shack with a simple menu. Drive up tell the nice young man your order and drive around the shack to get your order. If you would like there are some park tables you may park, get out and enjoy the meal outside of your vehicle. Did I mention it's a shack, this is located right off to the side of a U-Haul rental space? The quality was decent. The fries were average, the milkshake was tasty, my sister really enjoyed it. The burger....hmmm...the patty looked like it, the sauce was similar, but the bun....the bun...*sigh* I took one bite hoping to get a taste to home and only to be mildly surprised by the taste. It was pretty darn close but not the real thing. Was it worth the drive? Meh. Would I go there again? Maybe..if the damn traffic wasn't bad enough in Puyallup.

Best burgers around! No joke, best burger ever!!!! I'm a huge In-N-Out fan, and this place has them beat hands down.

I have driven past this place for years, but did not stop in until this past Saturday. Wow...I have been missing out! First let me start by saying I am very picky about burgers, so I don't eat them often. I hate really thick hamburger patties...I like them thinner and a little crispy. This place did it right! I ordered a cheeseburger, minus tomato, but add bacon. It was incredible. Hands down the best burger I have ever eaten. The meat was amazing, the burger was cooked just right, and the sauce they put on it is wonderful. The onion rings were also really good. Some places cut the onions too thick, but here did not. The breading was really tasty, and not super dense. Honestly, I couldn't of been happier with my food. The woman who took my order was one of the owners and she was super sweet. She talked to me the whole time I was at the window and told me how her and her husband are thankful for my business. You can't beat friendly service from the owners and amazing food. I cannot wait to come back here and am thankful it is along my commute.

Excellent food and great if you eat gluten free. Awesome local place my daughter and I love.

    (4)
  • James B.

We read the reviews before heading over. Which was a challenge since Tom Tom couldn't locate the address. Anyway, Really good burgers and shakes. However, the Onion Rings were way over cooked.

  • Justin G.

Great Food with a great price! Gluten Free Burgers and fries for 3 people for only $22!!! Loved the food. Grilled Onions and grilled bun. OMG! Very happy, will definitely go back!

    (5)
  • Melissa D.

Everyone there is always extremely friendly and they definitely have the best burgers in town! I would definitely recommend Out & About to anyone who wants a delicious meal and great service. But just a warning, the line is usually pretty long, but totally worth it!

    (5)
  • Bobby C.

This place is pretty darn good. The burgers are a bit pricey but they fill me up so that is all that matters! The FRIES always make me come back for more.. Love those damn fries. Would give this place a 5 star but the last 2 times I have been here, it took over 10 minutes to get my food... But other than those bad experiences, this place is great

    (3)
  • Kimberly W.

MMMMMmmm! Love this place. Love the "house sauce" (which is both used on the burgers and as a fry sauce.) Love that they put grilled onions on the burger instead of raw onion. Love that I can also ask for the addition of pickles. The only thing is that the lettuce or the tomatoes are too wet so when your eating the burger it can be quite messy as the water drips. But yay that they are cleaning the lettuce? :)

    (4)
  • Sissy S.

Everytime I've ordered the onion rings they've been on the verge of burnt. Which is too bad because they would be the best onions rings ever if it were't for that. Burgers are good, and staff is friendly.

    (3)
  • Mike H.

This burger is almost what you would find at Inn and Out in California and Yummm! Driving by you wouldn't think much of a trailer sitting there but heck its better than most burger restaurants that put out so so burgers with little taste. So if you are in the Puyallup area this is a must try and you will be surprised at how great it is!

  • Vasiliy S.

Stopped by on the way home on the way from Northwest Trek. Location is convenient for the drive through - not so much if you are eating in (they have 3 tables set up on the side of the parking lot). It's basically a mobile burger stand parked in a U-Haul parking lot. Food is good, fries and fry sauce is excellent.

    (4)
  • Alison M.

Drove all the way from Bellevue and it was well worth it! Awesome customer service and great food!

    (5)
  • Mike T.

One of the Northwest's answers to In and Out, and a good one at that! This little drive through stand on the main drag of Meridian has some really great burgers to pick up and take home or on a picnic. They also offer some really good onion rings and fries, as well as sweet potato fries. Out & About is about as good of a fast food style burger as you are going to find in the entire Seattle area.

    (5)
  • Handsome G.

Tastes just like In n Out burger without the travel expenses. The Fries.....not really but the burgers sure do. The only thing I wish they would change is the size of the patty. If they would offer a version that had a standard size hamburger patty I would give them 5 stars.

    (4)
  • Julian W.

Awesome burgers, great sweet potatoe fries!

    (5)
  • Todd V.

We wanted to go out for a sit down dinner but Red Robin and Bob's were a 45 minute wait on Saturday night. There were four adults and one child . We ordered a cheeseburgers for each of the adults and a grilled cheese for the little guy. The cheeseburgers were delicious! They were smaller like a Dick's burger and tasty and full of toppings like Burgermaster. The kids grilled cheese was a bust. It was a burger with no patty and all the toppings. We had three fries and an order of sweet potato fries. We ordered too many fries but they were tasty and they have fry sauce. I highly recommend instead of other fast food options in the area!

    (4)
  • Josh M.

Don't drive by this place for 4 years like I did. It's a must stop, drive thru trailer serving top quality burgers w/ fry sauce!

    (4)
  • Josh D.

I love little holes in the wall like this. A trailer in a parking lot serving up very In-N-Outesque burgers. The food was awesome and the service was fast and friendly. Don't pass this place up!

    (5)
  • Brenda L.

Lovely place. Friendly owners, chesseburger had a great flavor but next time I will get a double chesseburger. :)

    (4)
  • Katie H.

First time I ordered their burgers there, I actually cried! They have the bestest burgers and fries. Their sauces is so good! I have always come there to get hamburgers for my 81 year old mother and I. She loves them so much too!! The lady who runs the place is very sweet!! Love her!! The place have since cleaned up a lot. Flower pots have added. Drive up is paved there are picnic tables on a nice grassy area. If you don't want McDonald's or Burger King, go there for a home style burgers, fries and a chocolate shake!!

    (5)
  • Carlos S.

Their burgers are really good but their onion rings take the prize, a bit greasy but it's well worth it.

    (4)
  • Stacy A.

I'm a super picky burger eater and would rather pass than fill up on something that can be picked up at a place with, let's say, golden arches. In-N-Out and 5 Guys are my top 2, but this little gem in a trailer has now made the rankings. You know it's a good sign when they've made success with practically one item on the menu. Their burger taste fresh and flavorful, messy but not greasy, cheese melted just like it would be at home, and their fries are warm and crisp. I had a vanilla milkshake which took me back to my grandmother's home growing up. And the friendly staff only add to it.

    (5)
  • Lori R.

Awesome burgers and fries fast service. The best ice cream shakes in town, haven't had anything from there that I didn't like and ice cream cones are only $1. People working there are very nice and friendly and during the summer they have tables where you can eat outside. All-in-all it's a fun and great place to eat.

    (4)
  • Nick J.

Out & About Burgers is fantastic! It's kind of a hybrid of food truck and fast food joint. It's drive thru only, but there's plenty of parking nearby. The menu is simple, but the food is so delicious it doesn't matter. I have never been anything but 100% satisfied with the food and the service!

    (5)
  • Jordan B.

Love their onion rings and burgers!!! Yummmmmmmy!!! Definitely a must go to. And they have $1 ice cream cones too that is yummy as well!! Burgers are better than most places around here

    (5)
  • Sabrina H.

We have gone here two time now and have fallen in love! Amazing food all around, tasty is great, sizes are great and price is wonderful for the quality you receive! We have had the double cheese, cheeseburger and the plain grilled cheese (which my kids love from here only), also fries and onion rings. All of which were very tasty, would recommend to everyone! Also, wonderful local owners!

    (5)
  • Bryce M.

This place is really good. The burgers are very similar to In n Out, and are on the smaller side. If you want a good amount of meat, make sure you get the double. The sauce, grilled onions, and melted cheese all come together nicely to make for some amazing burger juices. The fries are another highlight. They're about twice as thick as Mcdonalds fries, and have really nice flavor. The fry sauce is really good, and free unlike at some places. I'll be going here often.

    (5)
  • Larry B.

Awesome burgers. People say its like in and out burger in Cali but I'm from Cali and I think out and about is good in its own right. Excellent onion rings!

    (4)
  • Bryan P.

I love this place! I've been going here for a few years and always order the cheeseburger with bacon and then I get onion rings. The food is delicious! I wish I could take a picture but I ate it all already. The place deserves the great rating it already has. Def a place to stop grab a burger and keep driving....or grab the food and eat in your car. They are also very nice! I have and will continue to recommend this place to friends and family.

    (5)
  • Customer C.

Been back many more times, still a great place to grab some burgers, fries and onion rings on the go. Also the fry sauce is the best around here... Great work on this burger stand over the years to keep the quality consistent each time....

    (5)
  • Nicole R.

It's a local version of In N Out or as close you can get to a knock off it. Happy to have found this place. I always get the cheeseburger with bacon added on. One person usually gets normal fries and the other the sweet potato fries. Love the fry sauce. Everything is always hot and made to order. Prices are good and cheap. I do wish they had some kind of meal deal where you'd save a dollar when you buy everything. It's great and we go frequently!

    (4)
  • Meagan K.

I can't rave enough about this place! The burgers are so delicious. It makes me extremely happy that they offer gluten free buns. I can't help but get a bacon cheese burger while I'm out grocery shopping! Also, their fry sauce is amazing too!

    (5)
  • Elle W.

If you've lived in SoCal and miss In n Out burgers, go to Out and About!!! Yum! So good! The burgers are delicious and the fries!!!!!! The fries are SO good!

    (5)
  • Richard H.

Not bad, the burger did seem small though, so if your hungry and come here I would suggest getting the double burger, or two of them. I would have to agree with what Natasha's husband said in regards they are good but nothing to die for. Most likely we will be bac

    (3)
  • Jenny E.

Awesome burgers, fries and shakes! Reminds me of the burgers you get from a diner. Prices are awesome too! The service was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!!

    (5)
  • Chris W.

It's not fine dining people. It's a drive through hamburger trailer. But oh! what a tasty grilled onion burger they produce!!! If you're looking for a quick and tasty burger you should give this small unassuming family business a try. If you're lucky it will be a sunny day in Washington where you can sit at their picnic tables and watch horses at play in the lot next door while you munch.

    (5)
  • Alekkz H.

I could solely give this "place" 5 stars for their sweet potato fries! I always end up getting a cheeseburger with it too. I regret.. getting the cheeseburger each time and my stomach agrees! I have nothing against the burgers but my stomach can't really handle greasy foods so I tend to stray away from fast food or greasy foods. But oh my goodness... honestly.. while living in California.. who cares about In-N- Out burger... when I missed Out & About burger (their fries actually)!?! Yupp... when I got back I had to get some sweet potato fries:) Super satisfied with the sweet potato fries plus.. its a couple roads down meridian from my house so I love it:)

  • Bethany T.

I finally ate here after I drove past this place a million times. I was pretty disappointed ! Food was just meh, after reading other reviews I expected a great burger. It wasn't anything outta the blue. A bit pricey. But guess I can say I've been there, but doubt I'm going back.

    (2)
  • Yen E.

I read reviews comparing their burger to In and Out and I just had to come try it! Burger was definitely one of the better burgers I've had here for sure. I had the cheeseburger with pickles and sweet potato fries. Burger was pretty good, but the fries was SO GOOD! Enough though it was a little more burnt, but it was really good. Their sauce was okay too... not In and Out good, but it was good enough. Someone commented on their coke... but it came from a can. I heard him pop open the can! Overall, pretty good meal and I would definitely be back!

    (3)
  • Tania A.

Amazing sweet potato fries. I opt for this place over fast food hamburger chains. Friendly service. Fresh lettuce and tomato which is a big deal for me. The regular fries are great too with their fry sauce.

    (5)
  • Bianca C.

Coming from California, I'm all about inn in out but now that I'm in Washington I'm all about out in about burgers. And also they are nice

    (5)
  • Robert M.

Definitely good burgers here. An obvious comparison to In and Out Burgers most will make is just with exception to the cost. I paid ten dollars for a burger, fries, and a drink. Which seems a little much for me to be a regular customer. I mean it is good, but very basic. They were genuine in their customer service which is refreshing.

    (4)
  • Sandra M.

Tried for the first time today, definitely not let down! My co-worker is constantly eating this on his lunch breaks and it looked amazing so thought I'd give a try tonight. Their fries are so good and the burger was amazing! It had grilled onions on it with their house sauce I didn't need to put ketchup on it, or dip it in fry sauce, it was perfect! The lady helping me was super nice, will definitely be coming back! :)

    (5)
  • Tim H.

Decent burger, not my first choice but it's pretty good. Friendly staff, reasonable price. Not a whole lot on that end of south hill other than fast food, so this is a nice step above.

    (3)
  • Kellen C.

Can't tell you much I vBulletin ordered for four on demand of my WIFE. I wasn't hungry for beef took a bite of my burger one sweet potato fry and was done. Food looked good I just didn't have an appetite price for 4burgers 2fries $18 EVERYONE SEEMED TO ENJOY

    (3)
  • YOUMETHEM Y.

We love the quickness of getting a meal to go here. The fries are so much better than the commercial burger joints, but I wish they would offer a veggie patty as a replacement for the meat.

    (3)
  • Elicia H.

It's not bad, I can understand why some would compare it to In & Out but I don't think it tastes like them much at all. Five guys is more of the joint that's comparable. The patties are very small and thin, although it was enough for me being 100 lbs. Fries don't seem special, mine were cold and dry. I doubt I'll ever go back, wasn't awful but I think there's other places much better.

    (2)
  • Clint S.

I've driven by this place about a thousand times and finally stopped in today for lunch. I ordered the double cheeseburger that was by all rights delicious....it was well cooked and everything I wanted it to be....the onion rings on the other hand...not so much. They were burned to a crisp....instead of that Carmel color we all expect...these were closer to a dark dark chocolate...unfortunately it wasn't until I got home before I realized this...in the end I'd recommend the burger...but skip the sides.

    (3)
  • Janine Z.

Okay, so I can't personally comment on the burgers here, just the French fries and strawberry shakes! Hubby and I stopped here 2 weeks ago before a movie, he ordered the bacon cheeseburger, French fries and a strawberry shake for me. The shake was served to us while we waited on the other. Oh my goodness, what a treat!!! Flavorful, creamy and all around the best shake I've ever had! I sampled a few fries while hubs enjoyed his burger. Hot, lightly crispy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside. The fry sauce isn't needed by any means, but is a nice addition. Quick service and hot food! Definitely be returning soon!

    (5)
  • Natasha G.

Been here twice, and generally happy with the food. Weve had bacon cheeseburgers which are wonderful. The burgers really are the best. My husband gets the fries, and seems pleased with them each time, but nothing that is to die for. The first time I had onion rings, they were good, but super greasy. A couple weeks ago we came in about 20 minutes to close, and when we got home, found the onion ring order to be about half what it was the last time, AND super burnt and greasy. Almost inedible. Ill definitely be back for burgers, but unsure if I would give the onion rings another chance. Their fry sauce is alright. A little sweet... which wouldnt be my first choice, but still okay.

    (4)
  • Jolie M.

Really good burgers! Reminds me of in n out which is my favorite burger place of all time being born and raised in Southern California. We will definitely be back!

    (4)
  • Gretchen F.

I was in the area so I thought of trying a burger from this roadside stand on a gluten free bun. We sat in the chilly sunny weather and munched down on a juicy burger with a delicious sauce. Although my GF bun was a tad soggy, at least it was an option although I would have liked the actual burger to have been bigger since I was left with a lot of bun and no meat. The sweet potato fries were divine yet very fattening and the chocolate shake was great. I would stop by often if this was in my neighborhood! YUM!

    (4)
  • J. S.

It's a funky little drive around burger place. If it's not raining, you can park and sit at a picnic table. Last time I was there, there were two tables outside. No inside dining. I love the taste of their burgers, especially the BMC. Have to have at least one a month. They also make a unique grill cheese sandwich, and grill cheese and bacon, they use hamburger buns inside out! If you were one of the people not satisfied, I would say give them one more try, I've never been disappointed. Don't tell my wife, but sometimes I'll sneak out mid-day and grab a BMC!

    Amazing.

Wife and I tried Out & About Burgers today based upon friends suggestions, need for a burger and gluten free bun option. Living just up the road a piece (I know that can be any distance really but less than 5 minutes in this case) I like the simple set up of the place as a drive thru only establishment. Having to take to go isn't that big a deal for us. Both of us had the double cheeseburger (Wife's with the Gluten Free Bun - $1 upcharge), an order of regular and sweet potatoe fries, and a milk shake for me givig us a rough $20 bill. May be seen as "pricey" for this set up but not enough to drive me away now. The burgers were really good. Plus points for solid, crispy lettuce leaves and nice thick cut tomatoes! I adore tomatoes!! Like how the buns were toasted. I would say a must for the Gluten Free bun and just bonus again for me. Wife said she thought the Gluten Free bun was a little sweet (which she liked) but I couldn't taste it. I order Gluten Free at times for us to share and such but I wouldn't here by choice. Burgers were well done but still juicy. Grilled onions were spot on also. The fries on both counts were good and I would say we could have only gotten the same order of fries to split even with our 2 kids. The mix works best for us. Milkshake was thick and we both enjoyed. Not sure again it would be a standard meal piece but an option for a once in awhile. For those who care, they serve Pepsi products for Sodas although we didn't order any. I like how they packaged everything too in individual paper bags (which I wish they had labeled for the Gluten Free bun but we could tell the difference by sight) and box type containers for wrapped burger and fries. As mentioned by another reviewer I am partially reminded of In-N-Out Burger concept although these fries aren't as good IMO. Don't go there expecting it to be In-N-Out Burger but rather a unique place and good in it's own rights. The inclusion of their special sauce for fries works well for me with either fries. I expect we will be back sooner than later!

Just moved to Washington from California about 3 weeks ago and I was a little devastated that there was no In n Out. Decided to check this place out and HOLY SMOKES their burgers remind of In n Out burgers. It's scary, but good scary. Hey I'm happy though because we found a burger place that hits home! The similarity stops there, and the fries/onion rings are great!

    (4)
  • Brian D.

Great fresh burger for a great price. Only thing holding me back from 5 stars is I'm not a fan of eating in my car, and by the time I get home to eat my food is not as warm as I'd like. Even a makeshift covered stand would be nice

    (4)
  • Ashlee H.

I think it's pricey for what you get, I've heard mix reviews on this place, I decided to try it out and wasn't all that impressed, I figured it would be better than it was, and service would be better. I may give it one more shot in the future.

    (3)
  • Richard F.

Okay burger, a little small and over cooked. Sweet potato fries are good. But all in all, not note worthy.

    (2)
  • Lisa S.

Only got an ice cream come here but it was good!! And I loved that they offered my dog a tiny cup of ice cream free! Friendly staff.

  • Alex P.

This is a cute littleburger trailer that serves a vaery basic menu. hey have swwet potatoe fries which are always a plus. The food came out in average time, and wasdecently priced. The lady taking the order didnt really hear what we were saying and im not sure if it was cause they are located on a main road or because shes kinda deaf. On the other hand my sweet potato fires were burned :o( the burgers were good, but small. not much flavor in the fries either. I might go back if im to lazy to go to burger king for sweet fries

    (2)
  • Brian H.

Enjoyed the heck out of my meal here. No complaints. The lettuce was crisp, tomatoes sweet and the bacon thick. Got the fries Cagny style which is sautéed onions, burger spread cheese. Very tasty!

  • Annie J.

Oh how I miss In-n-Out Burgers, but this will do in a pinch. They serve a pretty tasty burger and I love that it's not overly greasy.

    (4)
  • Steven L.

Always has a good experience here. They are a much better alternative to the franchise locations and leave you much more satisfied. Not as greasy as 5 Guys and the fries are always cooked very well. The patties are on the thin side so I generally order the double while my wife simply gets the regular and is just fine. A burger and fries is more than enough to fill you up. The nice thing is that they have always been very consistent which I can appreciate. It's not like a box of chocolates....

    (4)
  • Tammy M.

Mostly consistant. Sweet. Potato fries always yummi! Really nice owners~

Out and About ... If I had to guess I'd say someone used to work at In 'N Out ... Excellent burger, excellent fries ... hell, their coke was even good. VERY impressed

Ok ok ok...I admit it, I'm a California trans plant. And the one thing this native Californian thought he was going to be missing was the ever so iconic In-n-Out Burger. I can't help it. I'm positive due to my mass consumption of, what I consider to be, the perfect burger it has some how altered my DNA and you will find the recipe for a "double double" somewhere lurking deep in my genetic make up. A couple weeks after my arrival to the Evergreen State the withdrawals kicked in; loss of sleep, cold sweats, male impotence, the list goes on. After scowering high and low for an exceptable substitute I came a cross a loan burger trailer in south hill. I took my first bite. I felt a sence of euphoria coursing through my veins, my eyes dialated, and the hair stood up on the back of my neck. This was a familiar sensation but not identical to the high I would get from a double double. I have finally found my fix. Out & About you are my methadone.

Need a U-Haul or a tasty burger? Or both? In the same parking lot as a U-haul is this burger bus! They have hamburger, Cheeseburger, or Double cheeseburger. Add bacon? .99 Also, they have fries and shakes. Wife and I have driven by several times and thought how funny it was that it shares a lot with U-Haul. We finally stopped by. My wife being a girl got the single cheese, me being a guy got the double cheese. They were pretty good. Toasted bun, melty cheese, and good old caramelized onions. Really I would give this place a 3.5 but not a 4. As stated before I am a food snob. This place was good just not a party in my mouth. All in all if you want a burger go here instead of any other fast food joint.

I worked for the In-N-Out Burger for 2 years back in the mid seventies. There burgers are very close to the In-N-Out Burger. The fries are not because they are frozen but they are still real good. I like the onion rings. I eat here from time to time & the food is always good.

I had the single, my boyfriend has the double with bacon. We left satisfied. I liked that the burger is fresh, thin and filling; but NOT greasy, yucky bloated filling. The bacon was great, thick slices. The sweet potato fries are great, although very filling. The regular fries are also amazing. If we didn't live in HI, we'd go back once a week!

Great burgers and service, I'm taking away a star just because of its location.

Pretty cool place. I love to swing through and grab a few small things to munch on with the kids while siting outside at the picnic tables. We watch the horses and enjoy some onion rings or french fries and maybe a burger (get bacon!) They have really inexpensive ice cream cones so it's easy to stop in with my girls and get a little treat on a nice day.

Was in the area picking up a ticket to the Seahawks game, searched Yelp for something close by. Very good burgers, reminds me a little of In and Out back home. The hamburger patties are pretty thin, I recommend you get at least a double. Add some bacon and top it off with a hand spun shake, doesn't get much better. I doubt I will ever be in the area again, but its worth checking out.

I love this place!! It is the Northwest's version of In and out burgers. I went here thinking that there was no way they could beat In and Out; the truth is they are GREAT!! I also love that their burgers are less than $5. It is a drive-thru out of a truck so you have to be on the look out as your drive by. They can put fresh onions and pickles but you have to ask for it; otherwise, you will get the sauteed onions. Also try their onions rings they are great, too!

This place is nasty!! Bland, thin almost paper like patties, not worth money or wait. If I could give it a -1 star I would yuck!! Service was eh, but sorry not good tasting IMO.

I came here on a recommendation of a coworker. We stopped in at about 7PM so there was no line at all and the guy in the window was ready to take our order with a smile. At first, we actually turned into a dead end drive way, so watch carefully if you are trying to find this place! I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings and a chocolate shake and my boyfriend got a double cheeseburger with regular fries and a chocolate shake. First off, my milkshake was delicious. It was very chocolately and I got to watch him mix up the syrup and soft serve ice cream. Secondly, the sauce on the burgers is great. It might not be in and out burger, but it is still really delicious. Not to mention all the ingredients on my burger were definitely fresh and it came together great. Finally, their onion rings are awesome. I love onion rings, and these ones are on the top of my list! Freshly fried, and you can actually tell they are onions.. not processed or overly battered. Overall, the food was fast and fresh and tasted great. I was also impressed with the portion sizes! I was stuffed by the time we were finished eating! The only reason why it is getting 4 out of 5 stars is because it was slightly on the expensive side. However, I WILL BE BACK!

um... not for those counting calories... But does help me when I come back from NorCal (on business) and am having an In And Out withdrawal. Its a bit weird pulling up to, what can only be described as, a modified fifth wheel, but they have good burgers and fries. The only complaint is that their prices are a bit high for a burger joint. But hey, there are nights when the Out and About fix is totally worth it. FYI... everything is better with bacon... and a shake... try it!

I am finally getting around to posting a review on this place. This was the second time that I went and I would have to say that the burger was superb. It had great flavor for just a regular burger with the fixin's and was very filling. The sweet potato fries were awesome. This is definitely a place that I would go to again and would recommend anyone visit.

We drive by their semi mobile drive up restaurant all the time but never stopped in for try. Their hamburgers are very good along with the fries. Everything was fresh and hot and the guys including the owner were very friendly. Plan on eating in your car or sitting at one of two picnic tables if the weather is nice. Two burger meals with fries and drinks were about $16. We would definitely go back.

Top two reasons to try this place: 1. Sweet Potato Fries - OMG, freaking amazing. AMAZING!!! 2. Milkshakes - old fashioned real shakes! So I'm a vegetarian, thus haven't tried their burgers, but have brought a few to my dad who LOVES them. Way better than fast-food. Staff is always super-friendly, which goes miles in my book. I hate fast-food places with their crappy food and miserable employees. The guys here are always joking and smiling when I go. If you haven't been - give 'em a chance! You'll be convinced!

The cheeseburger is decent, a good alternative to McDonald's but not as good as 5 guys. The grill cheese should be just listed as cheeseburger without meat. It's just bun and cheese. But the fries are awesome with their fry sauce. Definitely will be getting those again. The price is great awesome. I will be back for the cheeseburger and fries. Not the grill cheese.

It's an In 'n Out knock off but it's a pretty decent one. Little place in a trailer in front of a u-haul storage facility doesn't look like much, but they get you in and out quick and the food is really good. Like their fries "Cagney style", which is basically the same as "animal style" at In 'n Out, smothering them in onions and sliced cheese (sauce is on the side.) Patties are a little thin but the burgers are still filling.

Have been here a few times,.. those people who compare it to In-N-Out, must have had a fairly lousy In-N-out experience. In-N-Out is freakin' awesome. This place isn't horrible, food wise. But it's nowhere near In-N-Out good. Burgers and fries are just okay. One plus is that they serve Sweet Potato fries,.. but there ends the advantages over any other burger joint. Two reasons for the poor review. First,.. location,.. if meridian traffic is slow,.. go for it,.. but anytime durring peak hours like say,.. 12 noon, or 5pm, getting in and out or the uhaul parking lot doesn't seem worth it. Second reason, My wife was out today with our kids on a walk due to the nice weather. She decided to drop by out & about as it is easier to get in and out of their parking during peak hours if you walk rather than drive, and it was convenient as it was on thier way home. When she arrived, she was greeted by a rude, and kurt fellow who told her they do not serve walk up customers. My wife found this odd, as there was a walk up person who was served as she was walking up to the window. She mentioned the earlier walk up, and he countered with, they only do walk ups when there are no cars present ( though there wasn't one present in the lane at this point) and that walk up customers block some of the menu items. He mentioned this in the same, rude, kurt, I hate both customers and their money, way that he had addressed her earlier. Later, a couple cars did pull up, and my wife, not wanting to violate his conditional car rules turned away. Just then, he mentioned that he could take her order if she sat down on a bench,.. but that he would have to take the orders of the three cars that just pulled in first. Even though she had been there first. As both my wife and I dispise those who can not grasp the concept of common sense, logic, or even the most basic rules of customer service, we will not be returning to this business. No sleep will be lost over this decision, as their burgers weren't all that great anyway. But I digress, even an ounce of customer service cloud have changed this review at the very least to a 3 star. I simply refuse to pay for both so-so food, as well as poor service. Their are far to many people out their who are willing to take my money with a smile.

Ok so I have reviewed some burger places in Pierce County and Puyallup before but I am retracteing anything I said and giving Out and About the crown for the best burger in Town. What really sets them apart for me is the quality of the meat. It is just way better than anything I've had in Puyallup. Also, as a former Californian I am totally onboard with the In and Out comparison and now I think I may even be converted since I beleive Out and About has the better frys. I am just hoping to next time try them Cagney's way! Totally worth making the trek to the little trailer in the Uhaul parking lot. You wont be disappointed.

Best burger in the area. In N Out doesn't need to move here anymore. We have our own NW version. Great sweet potato fries. This spot deserves a try. You can't go wrong. Friendly service and great food. Much much better than the large bland burgers at the chaing drive in down the road.

This place is the closest to an In N Out that I have found. Great fries and shakes as well.

I'm not sure why it hasn't been mentioned in a review yet, but the main thing that Out N About has going for it is that it is copying a great burger place - In N Out Burgers. For those people that frequently complain that In N Out won't make its way up to Washington, Out N About provides a very close replica. I am not sure if the owners of Out N About are going to read this. I would be interested to hear if they deny that they are copying In N Out. I am not complaining. I wonder if they do "animal" fries like In N Out does?

The taste of the burger was spot on but left me unsatisfied with a beef patty as thin as my wife's finger nail. Sorry but this burger left me asking where's the beef? Don't go unless you want to spend $3 on a burger smaller than a whopper jr.

Fantastic fresh made burgers. Been driving 20 minutes one way past all the chains. Prior review making a comparison to In n Out is spot on...except for the fact that the fries here are better and a much larger portion as well. Great execution Out N About!

Always drove by the place, since puyallup doesn't have the best restaurants I was cautious. Anyways, amazing burgers. Fresh, hot sides, and good service :) about 4 bucks for a burger though
