Sushi was excellent. Very fresh. So happy I decided to come to this place out of the other ones Yelp suggested. Presentation was also very beautiful - colorful and loved how they arranged the food. Makes you want to eat it even more.

The sushi was very good and freshly prepared. They also serve you free miso soup and salad before your entree comes. The dressing has a hint of wasabi, very good! Our server was very polite and kept checking on us to make sure we were satisfied.

Good quality sushi at a good price. Nice fresh fish. Very friendly wait staff and a friendly chef who must be picky about his fish. It is not a 'fancy' place in terms of ambiance, more of a family feel. No beer on tap, which is always a downer for me. They are happy to serve you a big bottle of Asahi though.

Not a bad place. I had some salmon and tuna sushi which was very good. Udon was a bit plain. My daughter had the orange chicken and liked it. It was very fresh.

My husband and i went here for a date night on a Saturday evening. He had been craving sushi and I wanted to try a new spot. I picked this restaurant because of how good the reviews were, how disappointed I was. First of all, the restaurant was so hot inside that I started to feel sick. We were sat right away, eventually we were asked what we wanted to drink, we both asked for iced tea, ten minutes later I stopped our waiter, thinking he just forgot, and that is when he said the teas were being made and it would be a few more minutes. Then about 5 minutes later he gave us each a bowl of miso soup. My first sign of what was coming my way, the soup was served in plastic bowls. The first bite of soup was good, but then after that I could taste the detergent used to clean the dishes. Dish detergent embeds into plastic, acrylics, latex, this is the major reason restaurants shouldn't use them. So I couldn't eat my soup. Then finally our tea came, my tea tasted like dish detergent so I couldn't drink it. Then we got a small salad each, it was a general iceberg salad with to much dressing on it, but the dressing was pretty decent so I was able to eat that. Finally our rolls started coming, we ordered three, all came to us very sloppily made, and they had over 30 minutes at this point to have made them. One was the firecracker roll, the worst part was that all the fish was so warm it made it impossible to stomach the texture of warm chunks of tuna that did not melt in your mouth, but rather, disintegrated in a bad way in your mouth. Our other two rolls were just as bad, and way to warm. My husband forced himself to eat the rolls because I couldn't, he left a good amount, he never leaves sushi behind normally. We did not ask for a to go box. We were very nice because our waiter and chef were nice, we thanked them both. This is just a checked off the list place we will not be back to.

I love love sushi and was so glad that I found this place not far from my home. I go there constantly. They may not have too many of the fru-fru innovative rolls, but the ones that they have are super tasty...I love their dragon roll even though not a fan of avocado, but the way they make it, you don't even feel it, but it sure adds to the taste. Really advise to try the Hot Night Roll...it has many fish inside and out and just yummy. And their spicy tuna, are just spicy enough that you can enjoy them without burning off your mouth lining. In addition, the service is fast and super friendly.

I've been here a few times since it's really not that busy and close to home. Not bad for a Japanese restaurant run by Koreans (most people don't understand the difference in the flavor of the food). I've had numerous items which were all satisfactory for the price. The menu is a mix of Japanese, Korean and Chinese food. The Chinese items are actually better than the Japanese food. The miso soup is average made with white miso. Little bits of tofu and almost no seaweed. I still don't understand why people in this country have breakfast soup for dinner and lunch. Japanese soup in the evening is never miso soup. Service is average. Go if other asian places are busy.

I have the sushi tempura bento box. It was delicious. Salad was fresh. I like their salad dressing. Tempura is very crispy. We went on a week day lunch. That place was empty. We were the only table. Hope they can make it. Waitress didn't offer hot tea. I give them 4 stars.

This place is a hidden treasure. I saw this place on yelp and decided to check it out since i was over in the area and wasn't feeling like Blue C. Saw the reviews on yelp and decided hey it can't be bad. Walking in, it wasn't too impressive, but they do have good customer service. I was quickly welcomed and told to sit anywhere and asked what i would like to drink. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento and some super white tuna (my weakness) the miso soup they brought out was good, and the super white tuna was great.... nice big cuts of fish and not a ton of rice , just the perfect amount. It was super fresh and delicious. My food came out, the rice was just okay, not that great, but the chicken teriyaki was nice and moist and flavorful. The salad was actually pretty good too, had some sort of wasabi ranch dressing that had just the right amount of bite to it. The tempura was great too. Not too much coating and inside it was nice and warm and tender. Two pieces shrimp and various vegetables. There was a sashimi salad, with 9 pieces of sashimi, 3 salmon, 3 tuna, and 3 of a clear/white fish that i am not quite sure what it was, but it was still good. The California rolls were great, plenty of flavor, and i was so satisfied that i ordered the crazy roll and a rainbow roll to go as well as some more super white tuna and makarel. A few hours later, the sushi was devoured and still was fresh and tasted amazing. Say hello to my new sushi spot in Alderwood.... even though it is a bit expensive.

The salmon and the tuna are not fresh at all! Don't try the sashimi here, it feels so disgusting!

I have yet to find a good sushi restaurant in the WA area. Ordered 2 rolls(sunny roll and baked roll) and 3 appetizers of calamari and gyoza. Servings were small. For a $10 roll, I expect more. There was free miso soup, which was not hot, only warm as though it has been sitting for the day, and a salad. The service was polite, though they did not refill our water or clear the table of empty plates or give us each a plate. Better off eating at the food court in the Hmart mall.

Amazing! I went when it wasn't busy, so service was fast, but also very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and the price is very reasonable for how much you get! I got the Firecracker Roll for $10.50 which had spicy scallops and crab inside with avocado, and spicy tuna on top as well. It became my new favorite after my first bite! I will definitely be going back!

Yelp totally did us wrong, again. Who is paying for these good reviews? We dropped into this place to grab a quick bit before heading to the movie theater close by. Ordered the usual roles, California, Spicy Tuna, the usual stuff. The server didn't offer us water, or anything, we even had to get our our plates. The place wasn't clean, and smelled like old fish. The decor was dark and the paint on the walls was chipping off. The plates were like plastic. Now on to the food, wow bad. The sushi wasn't rolled properly. The wasabi was runny and taste bad. The fish just wasn't fresh, the rolls were not properly put together. They did offer us soup, but it was poured out of a crook pot sitting in the middle of restaurant. You could see buckets in the kitchen falling all over the place, and the door to the kitchen was this old sheet which was dirty. Look this place wasn't clean and was kind of scary.

Update* came back here again. Salad was good like before. Had to wait for utensils. Salmon skin roll was good . Dragon rol was good. Service a little lacking.

Forget about H mart and Sushiland, if you want to taste real sushi this is the place to go. When I first came into the door, the waiter instantly gave me the attention every customer should get. Not knowing what to order, the waiter gave me great suggestions and I got the yummy yummy role. The price was very reasonable for the portions they gave. Before the roll was served, I was given a bowl of Miso soup. I don't understand why people keep saying it tastes like dish soap, but it really just tastes like a ordinary Miso soup.. a couple of minutes later the roll came out. It was delicious. The roll was fried to perfection and I couldn't have wanted it any better. Overall this restraunt uses fresh ingredients and takes care of their customers. Other sushi places in the lynwood area just don't taste the same. check it out its good stuff.

This small hole in the wall sushi and noodle house is the best we have found in the Edmonds or Lynnwood area. We've tried a bunch. If you are at the Alderwood Mall it is worth crossing the street. Don't be put off by cheap looking "sushi" sign. The Japanese owner couple are your chef and waitress and they care about every aspect of your experience. We've eaten the raw fish dishes (sushi, sashimi and ngiri and rolls) which have all been first rate. I had a teriyaki baked salmon lunch meal that was excellent too. Good miso and small salad come with each meal. Six seats at the bar and about 5 four tops are the total space.

This is my favorite sushi location! And I actually always end up getting the chicken fried rice though since it's my absolute favorite dish there. I've taken many friends and my family here and they all enjoy the food. The business is family owned and they're always very kind so it's great customer service. I find myself coming back nearly every week though I've moved almost an hour and a half away now. I love this place!

  • Hannah G.

This is my absolute favorite sushi place. A little pricey, but all sushi is so that is to be expected. Service is minimal but not bad (language barrier) and the sushi rolls totally make up for it. it's the real deal eel, crunchy tuna and all of the other fresh ingredients they have to offer! Huge menu as well.

Now this was a truly surreal experience. My friend and I popped in here to grab some take out. A lady greeted us in a terse, but polite manner and we ordered our rolls. The interior was really pleasant, I very much liked the decor. As we were waiting I wasn't really paying attention to the music, just some twangy guitar, until I thought I caught the word n****r. This caught my attention. Sure enough the song was about a hatred for black people, condoning "pulling the trigger" and other such imaginative rhymes that explained the protocol of answering the door to greet different races. This was clearly not something I'd expect to hear on a radio, so I can only assume someone put it on deliberately(not to antagonize me specifically obviously, but I guess someone there must enjoy it), and was definitely unexpected in a restaurant. Needless to say I spent the next 10 minutes in relative discomfort. When we got our food, the sashimi was carelessly cut, and we had been given the poorer sections of the mackerel. The rolls were okay, nothing to write home about and definitely not worth the price. Overall, the food wasn't awful, but I have never had such a weird experience in a restaurant before, and I felt distinctly unpleasant after leaving.

Great sashimi. Small off facility. Located next to H Mart. Only negative was that sushi bar smelled of fryer oil given fryer in small area. When enjoying great, fresh fish, the odor of "fried food" is unbecoming.

My 2nd favorite sushi location. A little bit of a hole in the wall, and as far as sushi goes, I would not have come here without a recommendation from a friend. Boom! Really, really good traditional rolls with excellent family atmosphere. The raw fish is always fresh. We have probably been over 100 times at this point and I have never had a roll or piece of fish that I found questionable. This is a true mom and pop shop. Locally owned by a couple. He is the chef and she is the server. We have been coming here for years, and have added little ones to our family. My kids are shy and don't typically love strangers. Both kids allow the owners to pick them up, hug them, and take them on kitchen tours. Very family friendly. Also, my kids love the sushi. No better sight then a 1.5 year old destroying a piece of salmon or tuna nigiri! As I said before, the rolls are traditional. You won't find a lot of fusion like you do in some of the more hip Seattle locations, but that is my preference. I always get tako (octopus) sashimi in addition to some nigiri and some rolls. They always serve us salad and miso soup before the rolls come too! Very close to Alderwood mall, and way better than any of the chain restaurants that you will get there.

Good value and great service. Looking at the menu when I came in for lunch today, I was thinking overpriced. I ordered the Misoya special bento and it was huge. 9 pieces of Sashimi, gyoza, tempura (two shrimp and 3 veggie), teryiaki chicken, rice, and miso soup. The sashimi was decent to quite good at this price point. I appreciated that whole kitchen is visible along with the sushi counter so you can watch your entire meal being prepared from scratch.

This wonderful little sushi escape opened in the summer of 2007 in a shoebox location that used to house a great little Chinese restaurant (Happy Family) that had the best-est hot-and-sour soup ever. The hardworking, young-looking Korean owners (M & S) provide a wide assortment of Japanese items, with everything from skillfully carved basic cuts of sashimi to deeply satisfying cutlets and teriyaki. The menu also has good children's selections. Some hardcore sushi fans may snub Korean-made sushi but they would be missing out on a pretty delicious tasting platter of both high-quality rice and plump, succulent slices of tasty fish. The chicken katsu is done very well, with excellent crisp on the outside and tender meat within. The dish that puts Misoya on the map for truly unique dinner "experiences" is the Hamachi-kama, or yellowtail cheek. First, you are presented with glistening, pearly cuts of sashimi-grade cheek, in all its pink marbled-fat glory resting on what will be the rest of your meal (once grilled)-- a full-sized, moon-shaped collar. Dab each piece in some salt then wrap it with a small rectangular section of seaweed (nori) then dip in some sesame oil. Home run! After you are done, the collar is taken to the grill then returned in a bowl of soy sauce and ginger and other good things where you can then really dig in and croon over what is always the tastiest part of any fish! Sublime. The restaurant table seating maxes out at around 30 chairs and 5-6 at the sushi bar. Busiest nights are Fridays and Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. When you are tired of the hustle-bustle of nearby Sushiland and the community seating at Oshima in HMart, try this very good Japanese restaurant with its serene ambience, excellent food, cold beer, and lots of smiles.

This is a small family-owned restaurant who kindly serve you the menu choices. We have sampled their fresh sashimi and sushi. Their other dishes are most delicious. We have always enjoyed the experience and simplicity that they bring to dining.

My family and I love this little sushi spot. I have two little girls and they always give all four of us a bowl of miso. I love the fact that it doesn't have seaweed in it! :) The dressing on the salad is a little spicy and purely delicious! Out favorite roll is the California crunch and my girls love the gyoza. I believe this is owned by and husband and wife and the wife always serves us. She is very pleasant and we are always well taken care of. My girls can be a little loud at times but they never seen to mind. My only qualm is that they don't devein the shrimp for the tempura. I love tempura but can't stomach the thought of eating that "vein". I know this is a common occurrence in Asian restaurants though. It's a great little spot anyway!

If you're looking for the best sushi in Lynnwood, you don't need to look any further. Misoya Sushi is the best in town! It's a small place...very cozy atmosphere, and it's run by a husband and wife (and maybe their kids help out?). The sushi is top notch. I used to like some other sushi restaurants around here, until I tried this place. Now I go to those other places and it feels like all I'm eating is rice. The portion sizes at Misoya are generous and the food is delicious. I don't think I'll go elsewhere for sushi anymore! The one complaint might be that they're a little slow. This probably isn't the place to go if you want something fast. But then, good food takes time to prepare. If it's a busy night and you're waiting for your check, just go wait by the cash register. Being that the wife is the only server, she works very hard and very fast, but often isn't available to bring your check. If you wait patiently by the cash register, she'll be right with you. Friendly service and delicious food. What else can you ask for? Sushi Misoya is the place to go for sushi in Lynnwood!

Decent food but really bad service. Our table was full of empty plates and cups yet no one was attending the table. Mind you, there was no other customer but us (which I see why) at the moment.

Sunny day in Lynnwood led us to start with Sunshine Roll; tasty sweet and spicy. Perfection Roll was a simple passing filler. Misoya Roll drowning in Misoya sauce. Miso soup salted just right and refreshing wasabi salad comes with order. Service was nice but s. l.. o... w....

Korean run Zushi* place....meh.... Opening had soooo much promise... served us boiled peanuts, for a moment I thought I was in Hawaii....le sigh.... We ordered and soon after our miso soup showed up. Lacking much flavor other than soy sauce, I realized there might be a few issues ahead.... Next came the salad, now that was a nice find, the dressing had a light wasabi and sesame oil flavor, it was a nice blend, and for some carrots and iceberg lettuce the dressing made it enjoyable. Then we waited...tic...toc...tic....toc.... Meals came out every so slowly and one at a time. Tempura udon, pause, Tempura dinner, pause, Bento box, then...tic...toc...le sigh.... Zushi* was fine, a bit chunky on the servings but it tasted fine. Hot meals took forever, tempura was okay, Bento box wasn't worth the $18.00 Calamari was decent, served up hot and fresh, but came at the eat of our meal??? They offer a "Chinese" menu, stir-fried offerings, we opted for Tofu fried rice....it was fried, it had tofu, it had the peas, carrots and lima bean frozen mix that I detest....that is all.... I'm sure for many this place would rank fairly high, for me...meh...2 1/2 Yelp stars. *Zushi, sushi made by a Korean Zushi master....

We ate there on a Saturday night around 7 pm. All of the booths were filled, but were promptly seated at a table. After we placed our order for Dragon Rolls for an appetizer and three dinner entrees, we waited ... And waited ... And waited. Clearly, they were understaffed in the kitchen. After well over a 30 minute wait, the first dinner was served, followed 5 minutes later by the Dragon Rolls (so much for the appetizer), another few minutes for the second dinner, and five minutes the final dinner. Perhaps if the food was exceptional, the slow service could be overlooked. Unfortunately, the food was nothing to get too excited about. The Draon Rolls were the highlight; they were very tasty and well presented. My tempura was a little too oily for me and the batter not very crisp and a little heavy. The vegetable yakisoba had way too many onions and the chicken teriyaki was nothing to write home about. I'd like to be able to say some good things about this small family run establishment, but I am afraid his will be my one experience at this restaurant.

  • Lucas H.

I rate my sushi on how full I get and the quality for $15 at each place. I usually expect to get some specialty roll (6 piece with sashimi, various) and another basic roll (usually spicy tuna). This has held true across the myriad sushi establishments I've visited. In short, this place is the best I've seen since moving to Washington 6 months ago. The ambiance is pleasant and peaceful. The service is very good (it seems like the owners make and serve at this place, since it's only the same two people every time we go). Ordering a couple items from the sushi menu means the food comes with miso and a small side salad, which I find is a nice touch (unfortunately, not a standard offering at all sushi places). I order the rainbow roll, which is almost enough food in an of itself, and a spicy tuna roll (big enough to be stand on its own, unlike some places that really skimp on their basic rolls). My bill is almost exactly $15 before taxes and I am FULL! Compare this to other places in the nearby vicinity and I can't expect the same level of gustatory satisfaction for the same amount of money (usually at least 25% more expensive). Misoya is buried in a strip mall across from the over populated alderwood mall, and doesn't benefit from the traffic of lesser places like Blue C Sushi, which stands in the mall. Do yourself a favor and check this place out...but not often enough that I have to start waiting to be seated :-P Good job Misoya

I've been going to Sushi Misoya for a number of years, especially when I still worked next door at the theater. They have great sushi (whether it's authentic or not I don't know, but hell, it tastes good) and they also have a few teriyaki and wok options. More recently Cam and I went in for dinner and had a few different rolls. They served us miso soup and salad along with our meal. Everything was fresh and prepared well. The only problem was how long it took; it wasn't that service was slow because the guy bringing us our food and such was very efficient. It's that the sushi chef was taking a long time. I don't know if that's because he's just very slow, or because he's meticulous in his work. Despite the speed at which we were served, food was great and always is great. This is a good little restaurant in one of Lynnwood's many strip malls worth checking out.

  • Zanne R.

Not only is the sushi top notch (I would drive from downtown Seattle to Lynwood any day of the week to eat there and I hate driving), but the owners and staff are thoughtful and remember regulars with ease. I especially love the dragon roll and highly recommend being adventurous here as all the dishes continue to surprise and delight. The prices here, especially for the great quality, are yet another reason to visit. Considering how pricey a night out for sushi can get, Misoya provides a great deal. Start with the miso and don't look back!

This place is notably the best Sushi in Lynnwood. The food is top notch for sushi, as well as, the "over the top" service. I've been there over a dozen times thus far, and haven't had a below a "9" experience ever. Its comes highly recommended. Try the sashimi salad, its KILLER! Paul B.

Had lunch here today. The yumyum roll was good and very creative. The chicken teriyaki was good, as well as the tempura. The service was slow, and the restaurant only had 2 other tables. The only thing that came promptly was the check.

Originally wanting to check out Matsu Sushi but they were closed - they are away 7/31/10-8/4/2010. So that evening, my friend+I visited Misoya instead, before heading over to the Tour De Terrace Festival. I ordered the Bento Dinner Special for $18.50 and my friend ordered a special roll with a few orders of nigiri. There's a lot of food in the Bento. I wish I had taken a picture.

Best sushi in Lynnwood! Very clean, nice little sushi restaurant. I drop in here whenever i am in Lynnwood, the staff is so happy and friendly. They always remember me, provide great service. I only eat the sushi, and I have never had a bad meal! The sushi is always fresh, prepared with care and presented well.

Awesome sushi. Be prepared to wait. This is a 2 person show, 1 sushi chef & 1 wait person (husband and wife, I think) who is doing all the other non-sushi dishes. What they save in overhead they spend on some high quality seafood. Well worth the wait.

Great Sushi in Lynnwood. Some of the Sashimi is lackluster especially the supposedly grilled ones. The grilling is pretty much just a light sear with no flavor. The rolls are excellent. I recommend them. The house special yellow tail is actually a hunk of cooked fish. I am mentioning this because it shocked me, I thought it was Sushi. Overall good food at a reasonable pice.

This is a very good sushi restaurant. I have tried many of the different rolls or nigri pieces. The staff is very attentive and will make sure that you are taken care of. I do not rate on environment or decor (which was typical of some of the japanese restaurants in seattle). the sushi was very tasty, the spicy tuna fish roll had a nice sharpness of heat with out loosing the flavor. The baked scallop dish was good (hard to get at some of the other restaurants). The Trantula roll (aka spider roll) was still crispy in the roll. They also serve other basic japanese fair as well. From what i can see, the owners also make the sushi and have not hired out on that front to some local kitchen staff like other restaurants. I believe that sushi should be done by a seasoned person not some person you hire off the street just to make it cheap.

If you like dirty, horrible service, no utensils and when you ask what kind of white wine they have and Chardonnay is the only answer then asking oh what kind and they say I don't know and don't go look for you.: This is the place for you. The bathrooms are the cleanest place in the restaurant. The sushi was so so not as horrible as the paint job on the walls, ambiance or customer service. There are too many good sushi places around to even think about going back. I'd go to the H-mart any day over this place.

My husband and I went here for dinner with our almost 2 year old. We had calamari to start and it was the best calamari I had ever had. On the other hand that was the only good thing about this place. The rolls were not very good and the restaurant was soooooo dirty. It looked like the floors had not been swept or mopped in a month. There were black spots of caked dirt on the floor and walls. I dropped the pacifier on the floor and it was covered in dirt and hair. I had to wait to get home to sanitize it. I peaked into their kitchen and it looked dirtier than the dining area. Needless to say I will not be returning. Someone will get sick if they continue this way.

Two times. Two times I have tried to eat here. They were not ready for customers at the posted hours of operation. Open at noon supposedly. This last time I arrived at about 12:20pm. Not open. In fact a couple minutes later the owners drove up. I found out they were the owners because they got some groceries out of their vehicle and unlocked the door to the restaurant. Huh. I figured they would not be ready for some time. Oh well. H-mart food court is open and I am done trying to eat here.

What a great find! My bf and and I came in for lunch after shopping at H-Mart. It wasn't busy and soft oldies music was playing in the background. Both my bf and I ordered lunch specials. Lots of food for a reasonable price. BF's combo had sushi (3 pieces nigiri), gyoza, and chicken teriyaki. Mine came with 5 pieces of nigiri, 4 pieces of CA roll, and tempura. Both came with miso soup and salad. We also shared the sunshine roll which was CA roll topped with spicy salmon. Everything was fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely come here again for lunch.

Our family loves this place. It is an intimate and wonderful family owned little sushi joint. The place is clean and their sushi is always fresh and very tasty! The atmosphere is very clean and cozy. A must try!

Excellent service but what every sushi loving yelper wants to know is how is the food. Large portions, and very fresh. Prices extremely reasonable. Ask the chef what he recommends and you will be delighted. I know it sounds gross, but he told me his norwegian mackeral was very good so I said to make me some. It was so clean and tasty. Tasted similar to yellowtail. Not salty or oily like I was expecting. I always like to try new things from master chefs. I had all the favorites, salmon, eel, tuna, yellowtail. I even had the sweet shrimp, and for those of you who know, the crunchy head is the best. Enjoy this place, I wish I lived in Washington.

This is by far the best sushi place that I have ever tried. Better than Blue C Sushi and any other sushi bar. The sushi is fresh and the service is great. Depending on what you order the time can vary but it is worth the wait! They give you miso soup and a salad while you wait for your sushi or whatever else you order. I have tried many different sushi rolls like their dragon roll, caterpillar roll, spider roll, and just a california roll and they are all delicious! They also have teriyaki and tempura and other dishes that are great as well.

On first stumbling upon this restaurant, I wasn't sure whether to stay or try another place. While the strip mall facade isn't appealing, don't let it fool you. I ordered the Misoya roll and tempura udon. Both were good choices. The Misoya roll was filling, and the sushi chef didn't hold back--eel, soft shell crab, and avocado. The tempura udon was good too. I've never had such a hot bowl of noodles. Atmosphere was ok--for the price and style of food, it fits the restaurant. I recommend this place if you are passing through the area.

Well fact that there is no "Real" sushi around Lynnwood, this place at least offers quality and authenticity. If you went to Blue C or I love sushi type of place thinking you had a real sushi? oh plz...

The sushi is really delicious. Especially the baked seafood sushi over california roll. Everything is made fresh and so service can be a tad slow. Super friendly owners. Extremely tasty food in the Lynwood area.

Everything at Misoya was just OK. They gave me free miso and salad with my order - that was a nice addition, however; the descriptions of the dishes were off. Our server was also OK, she didn't smile once...but I wouldn't say that her customer service was bad by any means. I most likely will not be going back.

Came here for lunch with a friend and it was delicious! Great family owned business. Hood customer service. The sushi selection was good. I had some type of fried tempura roll with spicy tuna and eel sauce: glorious. Soup and salad was also good. Decently priced. I'll be coming back!

Service: Very quick, efficient, and friendly. Odd that all the servers were taking their break at the same time and hanging out at a table but this didn't slow down the service so I didn't mind. What we ordered: Ordered yakitori, beef teriyaki with yakisoba noodles, vegetable tempura, and cucumber sushi. Both entrees came with miso soup and salad. How it was: Awesome. The miso was some of the best I've had. The salad was exceptional - the lettuce was crisp and the dressing was a little spicy yet tasty. I'd go back for the dressing alone. Cucumber sushi - some of the freshest, fattest rolls. Fresh cucumber, loved the way it was rolled. Vegetable tempura - just how it should be. Loved the broccoli and zucchini especially. Beef teriyaki - had a very sweet sauce and lots of it but the quality of the beef was surprisingly good. Loved the yakisoba noodles, too. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the yakitori. The quality of the chicken wasn't very good and it tasted a little slimy. Otherwise, awesome food. Happy Hour: Between 3-6, there are half price appetizers. This whole feast only came to $30! Pretty impressive. Decor: Nothing special, a little cramped, tables felt really odd - thought there should be booths where there were tables. Didn't feel SUPER clean but "quaint." Verdict: Will be back.

Have started frequenting this fine establishment since it is so close to home. The sushi has always been fresh, and my favorite item is the Caterpillar Roll, followed closely with the Rainbow Roll. They serve complementary miso soup and a nice small salad with house dressing that has a kick of wasabi--sounds weird but somehow it works! The only negatives relate to service. Since they are just a two-person outfit, if it's busy, you can be waiting upwards of 20 minutes for your rolls. Also, I visited on one occasion at 11:15am when they were supposed to be open at 11:00, and the door was still locked. Despite these small knocks, I love this place for the quality of sushi, relatively low prices and convenience of location.

The food here is good and I had some great sushi. But the service is unbelievably slow. I was in the area on business so I wasn't in a rush, but I sat for a long while and just read my kindle. The menu is eclectic and has both Japanese and Chinese food choices. They have large menus above the Sushi Bar, but also give you a menu at your table. At first, I thought it was an order at the counter place. But it is a sit down restaurant. Come here if you have time and are not in a rush.

My husband and I have been coming here for years. For sure regulars. We come here because it is the best Sushi we can find! Hands down the best. Second, the husband and wife that run the place are fantastic! When we first started going, we noticed sometimes we had to wait a bit. But we kept coming back because it was so yummy. They are for sure worth the wait. Or you can always do to-go orders. Love this place!

Ewwww, good sushi in Lynnwood? That was my thought until this place. On the outside, the place looks "meh". Like some Teriyaki joint. When you enter it's like, "Wow, I had no idea". -Food-wise best bang for your buck in the area- Someone said the service was slow. I can see that being an issue if it's busy as the lady who was cooking was serving us too (along with her man I think). She swiped our credit cards while watching over noodles, so I was impressed. Yakisoba beef: $11 got us mini salads & miso soup too-- delicious sauce & big portion (got my brother full, that's difficult) Tuna / Salmon California roll of sort: A+ Fresh salmon and maguro (Japanese for tuna, as I'm sure you know if you're reading this ;))

This place is my favorite sushi place around the Puget Sound area, other than the one in H-Mart, literally next door. The price point, the quality of the fish (great quality but they dont have otoro) and the taste of the food brings me back here when I get a hankering for sushi. Warning for those that have never been here. Come with lots of time to spare. Service WILL be slow unless you're the only one there. It's a 2 person crew of husband and wife. Trust me it's worth the wait.

Sushi places like this make me miss the state of WA! The sushi here was very fresh and unique. The location is unassuming and the venue is quaint. The Misoya roll was awesome (fried soft shell crab). We also got a couple rolls that were basically california rolls with fresh fish piled on top. Different but fabulous! We went for lunch and ordered a few rolls and were pleasantly surprised to be served miso soup and salad as a starter. The seaweed salad is your standard salad and is fresh like the rest of their food. The service wasn't too slow but we weren't in a hurry either. A great place!

This is the place we have started to go now that our old sushi place closed down. It can be slow if it is during lunch or dinner time since it is mainly just the husband and wife team who do everything (I am assuming they are married) They are very sweet and friendly and give good portion sizes of fish. We really enjoy the sunshine! another low cost favorite is the salmon roll (good size pieces of salmon for the price!!!) We tried the salmon skin roll for the first time and really liked it as well. Their Miso soup is some of the best have had and we also really enjoy the lite almost sweet wasabi type dressing that comes on the complimentary salad.

The service was great. Our waitress did a wonderful job of attending to us without being overbearing. Although it took a while for the sushi to come out, it was beautifully presented and tasted very fresh. Definitely worth the wait. The only issue I had was with the spicy tuna. I'm not a big fan of using tobasco for the spicy factor. It's much better with wasabi mayo, though I have yet to find a sushi joint in Seattle that makes spicy tuna rolls that way. Guess I'll have to keep looking!

Oh my goodness, what fresh sushi! The unagi is amazing! It is tender and just melts in your mouth! We had the Bento combination, child's bento combo, and sushi combo as well! Everything was wonderful! The meals come with a cup of miso and salad. Both very good! The dressing is a wasabi dressing and it is yummy with a little bite! Our son loved the child's plate! The teriyaki and tempura is very good and in generous portion. My husband also ordered the tomato sushi special. Very good. Next time, we'll have to try the orange. They provide a generous amount of sushi and sashimi, and oh so tender and fresh! If you like good sushi, you must try this place! This is the best sushi place we've found in or near Seattle!

My husband and I have been there twice now. The only thing we have ordered is the Sushi. We both agree that it is the best sushi in the area. I heard from a friend who recommended this restaurant that the chief personally picks each fish he serves to his customers. I find that pretty impressive alone. The service of getting your food is really slow, but refreshing all at the same time. You really have the chance to dine instead of being hurried out of the place. Don't go if your in a hurry. Its that simple. Love this place! 4 1/2 stars!!

This sushi joint (run by a Korean family) is in the same plaza as H-Mart, and is within a close distance to the Alderwood Regal Theater so if you're looking to kill some time before a showing, this is a great place for a bite to eat! Personally, I think it's hands down better than other nearby alternatives, Blue C Sushi or Sushiland. The sushi rolls are plentiful and the fish tastes amazingly fresh. It's nicely decorated with the usual Japanese decor & silk screens while service is prompt, and prices extremely reasonable. I usually always skip the miso soup and edamame but there's a lot of variety of rolls and sashimi dishes to choose from! The firecracker is amazing!

The sushi here is so fresh and delicious. Best sushi hands down. Seriously melt in your mouth delicious.I love that they also give you real miso soup, not that watered down crap at other restaurants, with your order. You also get a small salad as part of your sushi order as well. The staff is so friendly, prices are average, and the place itself is very clean and inviting. I will never go anywhere else for sushi in all of Snohomish county!

The best sushi I've ever had!!! Me and my boyfriend found this place 3 years ago, and now it's our #1 sushi place. Depending on how busy they are the service can be fast or slow. However, it is worth waiting if it's a busy night becuse the chef is taking his time to make sure that everything he makes is special. The price is very affordable. You can get a big salmon roll for about $5. You also get a small cup of miso and some salad for free.
