I take my 2-year-old daughter here on Friday after the gym. Random, lame atmosphere, and a soul-less strip mall to top it off. But solid donuts, rich Italian sodas, and free, all-she-can-eat donut-holes for my daughter. The woman who's almost always behind the counter asks about us when we miss a week, and had a little Christmas gift waiting for my daughter last week. It's not quite Cheers, but it's nice to eat at a place where they're happy to see your kid. Last time I checked they were open crazy-late too.

Absolutely terrible! If I could give no stars I would. My husband and his dad ran a shop 2 doors down from Evergreen and has been eating there for around 25 years. We have been buying donuts there since we started dating almost 18 years ago and have been taking our kids there for the last 12 years. We heard Evergreen had new owners and decided to give it a try earlier today. The donuts have shrunk by about half, are not fresh like they used to be, the overall quality was poor, and cost $2 more a dozen than they used to be. It's sad to see another landmark go by the wayside.

This place is a solid doughnut shop. When I came in, the guy working had just finished frosting some cake doughnuts with frosting and sprinkles, and they had enough steam to frost the inside of the case. I think he was also working on fresh maple bars and twists in the back, and told me and the other customer they'd be out in about 2 minutes if we wanted them. I got an apple fritter- its friggin huge! Soft, with lots of little apple bits, and something like $1.50 too. The maple bars I saw in back were still steaming from the fryer and were on a rack cooling down and waiting to be glazed. I got a cup of coffee- it was okay, on the warm side of room temperature, but I needed some coffee pretty bad, so I chugged it. This place does accept cards, but I'd seriously use cash if you arent ordering a dozen or more.

Like other Yelpers recommended, I too recommend the Apple fritter. Its pretty much an all star. Its nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and tasty in the inside. I like that its really about the donut here and not the frosting or glaze. The dough of the donuts are the star and too me thats most important. Cons: There's not a huge selection ( which is probably why the other donuts are so good) They do charge you for every little "upgrade" on the donuts. Which I guess is pretty typical these days. 6 donuts with 2 apple fritters was 10 bucks. Will be a regular.

Like another yelper said..this is by definition "hole in the wall." I am a sucker for plain glazed doughnuts, and these were excellent!! Fluffy, light and sweetened to perfection. I also tried the lemon, cream cheese and chocolate doughnuts that were good as well, but the glazed one was by far the best. The young lady at the counter was also very polite. I wouldn't stay to eat but for a quick on-the-go bite or a share-with-the-office treat this place is great.

Absolutely delicious. You have to try the buttermilk jam donuts. I have never had anything like them before. The best!

Solid local donut shop! They're located right off 44th Ave on the right side of the street if you're heading North. If you're familiar with the location, you know that it can be a hassle trying to head South again...but hey, it's donuts...good donuts. There prices are comparable to other donut shops and they are cheaper than purchasing a donut at Starbucks or Tullys. Plus, you get more bang for the buck...their donuts are larger than the donuts you can get at Starbucks, Tullys or the grocery store. Customer service is great. The lady and gentleman that have been behind the counter on the occasions that I've visited are very welcoming and a pleasure to do business with. They are always so friendly, which makes the donut experience better altogether. As you would imagine, there is a great deal more selection available earlier in the day and unless you don't mind paying 1/2 a donut cost more for using plastic, bring cash.

i say best donut shop in the lynnwood/north seattle area. cheap hot fresh made donuts amazing. the only man i have ever seen working here is just great super friendly he ever gave me a free donut because i bought so many on my first time in. if you are here go to taste of pho right next door before or after your donut experience haha

Good donuts in here. I got one of the chocolate bars with is about double the size of the supermarket kind and tastes a whole lot better too! The dough is just a little sweet and has a nice yeasty flavor and the chocolate frosting was sweet without becoming nauseating about halfway through like some tend to be. The place is small but neat and clean. There was a very nice older Asian man working behind the counter today. Yes, there was a surcharge for using my card which I'm not crazy about, but he didn't give me trouble using my card for $1.50 like I've encountered in some smaller businesses. So not THE best donut I've ever had, but still pretty tasty, and gets extra points for nice people working here!.

Yeah, not really impressed, what can I say. I am an apple fritter connoisseur and I was very disappointed when I ordered a few of these in my box of half-dozen. I could not taste any apples, and it had only a slight apple-flavor. The texture was DRY as all hell and it tasted almost burnt. The jelly-filled ones were decent, cake-donuts were moist and I liked those OK. Just extremely let down by the fritters. HOWEVER! The man behind the counter threw in a free maple bar for me because I am kinda cute and he was feeling generous that day or something. So while the service and kindness of the staff were awesome, the donuts themselves left a lot to be desired.

Definitely the best donuts around!! It is a small unassuming donut shop in a strip mall in Lynnwood. Not exactly where you would be expecting to find a good donut shop! But their donuts and pastries are very fresh, homemade and really good. They make really good Kruellers, one of my favorites. The little family that owns and runs the shop are so nice. The older man will sometimes even give me extra donuts just to be nice, particularly if I am picking up a dozen to take to work. They are open long hours in my opinion - much longer than I would expect a donut shop to be open. The family is super friendly and the donuts are really good. I hate Krispy Kreme donuts, Top Pot is alright, Mighty O is good, but Evergreen is REALLY good! Satisfied purrs....

I stopped by Evergreen Donuts this morning to get 14 donuts for my daughter's class to celebrate her 11th birthday. The lady working was friendly and patient. I needed the donuts cut in half (otherwise the teacher would kill me for giving the kids whole donuts). It was kind-of a pain to cut the donuts, but she carefully cut all of them (with a smile). I never knew this place was here -- I am happy I found it!

First off, this is not a "boutique" doughnut shop or polished retail concept. It is, by definition, a cheap doughnut shop. There is no atmosphere to speak of, and, though they have tables, it is not a place to go to sit down and relax. That being said, the doughnuts themselves stand up favorably and, in my opinion, exceed those from Top Pot, Mighty-O or anything else I've tried in the Seattle area (admittedly, I prefer raised doughnuts to cake doughnuts). The cake doughnuts are good but the raised doughnuts really stand out. They are consistently slightly crisp on the outside and airy and chewy on the inside. They can tend to be sweet, but they are, after all, doughnuts. For a good, solid hole-in-the-wall doughnut, these are the best around.

I think if there were a Krispy Kreme close I'd go there, but without that this is my favorite donut place in town. I love their old fashioned maple donuts. Wow, these are good. Their espresso, Seattle's Best, is good too. Not incredible, but it's super cheap. $1.50 for an 8 ounce! As Rob mentioned, you don't get to choose a 13th, which is odd. Most of the time they choose one for you.

Tasty little neighborhood doughnut shop. Doughnuts are VERY reasonably priced. A dozen mixed and matched came to $10.10 which is great. The apple fritter was nice with real apple bits. The custard filling is lovely. At 11am on a Monday the doughnuts were fresh and tasty. There's no real "ambience" but who goes to a doughnut shop to look at the decorations?!? The woman behind the counter was super friendly and very efficient. Plus, some local law enforcement were eating doughnuts at one of the tables, which made me smile, but also I took that to be a huge vote of confidence. There aren't any freaky/unusual flavors (although they do have that bacon/maple bar doughnut that is everywhere these days). But a solid selection. The dough and flavor are way better than Safeway/QFC doughnuts, and not much more expensive. I mean, there are some swanky and delicious shops out there, where one pays $3 or more per doughnut. This is not that. Just a good, old-fashioned doughnut shop.

These donuts are the most amazing donuts EVER! My sister is a flight attendent so she has donuts all over the country and even she agrees that these are the best. They melt in your mouth, literally! We usually go really early in the morning and that is the best time to go because they are super fresh out of the oven and still warm. Seriously, they will change your life. The baker is not very talkative, but who is at 5AM? He's amazing at is job though so I really don't care if he's chatty. One time ran after us because we forgot napkins. Great customer service. I love this place. I only go on special occasions when I'm up really early however or they could become a really bad habit.

Best place for donuts. So good! We've had the apple fritter, cruellers, chocolate covered donuts, jelly filled etc. Can't go wrong here. Pricing was ok. The fritter is $1.55 and most regular donuts are $0.90 each.

Best donuts in Lynnwood! I've been patronizing this shrine to donut goodness for almost two decades. This unassuming storefront with the a.m. regular old-timers dishes out the finest, fluffiest, tastiest deep-fried cakes ANYWHERE. The basic dozen is still a bargain at $8.75, and not a bad or even average one in the lot. Of course, the fancy, premium items like apple fritter ($1.50), cinnamon roll ($1.50), and maple bacon bar ($1.60) should be purchased separately. They are all simply dreamy. Heavenly. Status epilepticus inducing. Roll-your-eyes-so-far-back-you-get-a-detached-retina satisfying. They also do coffee/espresso at ridonkulously low prices (under $4 for 20 oz.). Caution: use cash or you will be charged an extra $0.50 for plastic (no AmEx). As a side opinion, the best of times (and 6-star worthy) happened when local favorite Thu L. was at the helm. She greeted everyone with her perky smile and had such an ebullient and infectious personality, which was the only intangible that usurped the quality of the donuts. Hours have tightened recently with the shop closing at 5:30pm on weekdays, which makes sense as opposed to the historical 10pm closing time, but who's gunna feed the city's nighttime po-po???

Donuts were decent. Wasn't a very large selection but I was there after 5 so they were probably close to closing. Service was friendly.

This tiny little donut place is fantastic. We got 4 donuts for the price of one fancy coffee beverage. And the quality cannot be beat. The donuts are so light and fresh, they just melt in your mouth. Apple fritters, maple long johns, everything we've tried has been wonderful. This place is a bit hidden, but worth finding!

"I still haven't found what I am looking for" I like the people here more than the donuts, and the donuts aren't bad. Call me crazy but the precise way she folds the bag over, then folds the napkins over top of the bag and leans the bag against the napkin dispenser just says: "it is important that we do a good job." Takes me back to my days in Japan where McDonald's hamburgers were so fresh they were too hot to eat, the buns were perfect, and not squished and the wrappers folded in tight creases like origami, I loved that! That is what I felt here! I prefer crispier donuts, crispier Old Fashioned ones, Crispier Apple Fritters. That is what I prefer. And for the love of all thing holey...(get it?) would someone on this side of the hill do filled donut holes? If I had the money I would open a donut shop JUST so I could introduce the PNW to filled donut holes and their magical goodness.

Yes, another doughnut shop review! If you read my reviews, you see a lot of doughnut places, because I love 'em. This is a good doughnut shop, but not up to the level of Family Doughnut shop. The size of the place is small, which for a business like this is perfect. If it had a lot of seats, it would be occupied by senior citizens and others that would nurse their coffee or get multiple refills all day long and not spend much money. The crulers were good with excellent buttermilk flavor. The apple fritter was a little on the cakey side. I prefer mine with a lot of apple and cooked more towards the crispy side. My daughter liked the cinnamon sugar cake doughnut, but said it was a little dry. The maple bar was good, but a little too sweet. Being located close to home, Lynnwood, the culinary void of the Northwest, this is a great place. But when you compare it to Family Doughnut, it doesn't really compete. If you can't travel to Northgate to Family Doughnut, eat here.

Bacon maple bars. up charge of 80 cents but it's real bacon I think. I didn't try it but got some for staff at work and they scarfed it down along with all the other varieties. this place is small family owned with the freshest doughnuts!! blind test against ToP Pot? Evergreen for sure. you'll pay $7 more for the fancy box. plus, I don't eat doughnuts often, but these ones didn't make me sick. that's a plus in my book. they open at 5am. why? I have no freakin clue! I get there at 730 to pick up a dozen or 2 for work. they are warm still!! many varieties. There are ones that looks like a volcano with custard or jam. they have a crunchy texture in the outside and soft in the in. I haven't had these before, but they were great with my coffee. Seriously, so much better than Top Pot.

A coworker brought a dozen in today, and this is absolutely the best cruller I've ever eaten. I'm shocked this place only has 4 stars. Another coworker described it as "melts in your mouth". It's better than any chain bakery. If you're in the area, you'll be missing out if you don't stop in for one of these sweet treats.

I was very impressed with their doughnuts. Very soft and doughy. Krispy Kreme is my favorite, but these are almost as good!! Will definitely be going back.

Eat your donuts here! I went to this place as often as I could, whenever I could. They're cheap, delicious and the man who serves them is a friendly nice man. A very unassuming place, but don't let it fool you, the donuts are to die for. I dream about these donuts still.

I really like this place. It's a quaint little shop with friendly employees. Decent selection and some really good crullers and maple bars.
