I go scuba diving about 5 miles north of Eagle Creek Saloon and usually zip right past this place coming and going. A dive buddy of mine said that we should stop by to grab some lunch on the way out of town to celebrate me completing my Dive Master Certification. It was a beautiful afternoon, so we decided to park it outside and soak up the sun. We got our drinks and the cold frosty locally brewed IPA was soothing. The owner was super friendly and cheerful. While my friends ordered the 1/4 lb Cheeseburger and the Bacon Cheeseburger with a fried egg on it, I decided to go with the 2nd to largest burger, which was the 3/4 lb Creek Burger with grilled onion, bacon and cheese. Oh yeah and just for the heck of it, let's go ahead and throw on a fried egg :-)... Ordered rare, this bloody goodness was Perfect! Messy and juicy! What a delight! I'm definitely going to make this a regular stop when scuba diving at my friends house up at Hood Canal. Overall Rating: 95% Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Drink Selection: 4/5 Price: 4/5

In a beautiful setting, with outdoor places where we were able to take a minor, this place exceeded every expectation. The service was as good as any I have seen anywhere in the nation. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. We will definitely be back again and again. I would be willing to make an occasional trip from the south Sound just to eat here, it's that good.

LOML and I decided to take the new truck for a day-long road trip to celebrate and to get out of the city. We wanted to see some mountains up close and some undeveloped waterfront without leaving the comfort of the vehicle so a trip around Hood Canal seemed to fit the bill. We have an ongoing love of casual dining (AKA bar food) so I looked on Yelp for someplace a couple of hours into the trip from our West Seattle home and found out about Eagle Creek Saloon. It sounded like just our sort of place and, in reality, didn't disappoint. The food was good and plentiful, the prices reasonable, and the service very friendly. LOML had the blue cheese/bacon burger and fries. The burger was pressed fresh in their kitchen and the fries were perfect. I had halibut and chips. We were told that all fish was fresh delivered except for cod which they buy in large frozen pieces and cut, bread, fry themselves. Anyway, the halibut was terrific; lightly battered and crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. "Treated like locals" pretty much sums up the service. They seemed to be genuine in their happiness to see whoever drops in. The place has a little bit of quirky decorations in addition to the usual bar signs. Furniture consists of tables and chairs and a coin-op pool table in the center of the room. Overall, it's a place that has been in business a long time and looks it. There is outdoor seating but it wasn't in the plan on this raining spring day. I could definitely see it in summer though or even getting take out and wandering over the highway to sit on the shore. We don't get over that way very often but when we do we'll eat at Eagle Creek.

When they say the best burger on the Hood Canal, they really mean the best burger on the Olympic Peninsula. Cold beer and drinks, a great juicy burger with all the fixings. The staff is pleasant and friendly. Every one is treated like they are locals. Food is great.................

There are few choices in Lilliwaup. Eagle Creek Saloon is the best choice if you're looking for bar grub, divey atmosphere and a good view of the game. This big bearded dude came out and we thought he was going to eat us but he ended up being very sweet, taking our orders then cooking our food. The place is covered in dollar bills with messages written on them. The lighting is strung up construction lighting. This is absolutely no frills and effective. The burgers are large and very tasty. The shrimp basket is also large and cooked to perfection. Laid back atmosphere with a great view of Hood Canal. Recommended.

I love these kind of roadhouses! I was making a rare autumn trip up the Hood Canal to check out the fall colors and was getting hungry pretty close to Lilliwaup. That isn't hype about the best burgers, (at least on the hood canal). Eagle Creek does make an honest burger. Me and the missus split an order of the breaded clams I thought I'd try the 3/4 lb while she went with the sane-sized 1/4 burger. I took a pretty good run at driving that cheeseburger into the old cheeseburger locker, but could only get half of it down- I had to save room for a beer. It was good, juicy, messy, delicious and perfectly cooked. The service is plenty friendly here and the lunch rush filled up the place. Check 'em out while in the area!

Order: The Eagle Burger Burger Layout: Bun, Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato, Fried Egg, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Grilled Jalapenos, Bacon, Cheese, Burger, Pickle, Bun Cost: $14 Fries: Steak Unless you happen to be one of the 15 or so people that live in beautiful Lilliwaup, WA, please be advised that driving under the influence of this monster burger is not advisable. This full pound bomb is big, meaty, and chock full of different flavors. The mushrooms, onions, jalapenos, bacon, and fried egg all contribute flavors, but the overwhelming one that you're going to get is beef. And in my case, overcooked beef. The beef also happened to be overcooked enough that make the whole thing dry, even with the help of all the aforementioned condiments. Sit at a bar stool and you'll quickly find that this place has a lot of fans. Because of that I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that my particular burger happened to be overcooked and that it's not the standard way they operate. I think I ate one fry, which tasted fine, and then rolled off the barstool and out into my car. That was a real rough drive back to Olympia, and I hadn't even had any alcohol. 2/5

I would give them 5 stars if they cleaned up the bathroom. The food is great! The location is assume. And the wait people can't be beat. I have stopped here more times than I can remember now as I ride my motorcycle around the Hood Chanel Loop. I always have a beer and have had several burgers and I even had the taco salad once it it was wonderful. I'm sure glad they are there. Please do something with the restroom though. It needs attention.

We stopped by here for a burger around 2pm on a recent Saturday. We had just finished a couple of SCUBA dives, we were staying at an RV site down the road but were so hungry we decided to grab a bite to eat rather then go back and fix something. The place was not busy but considering the time I wasn't surprised, I went inside and asked the waitress if we could sit at one of the outside picnic tables so we could keep our small dog with us, she said sure!!!, you can even sit on the deck, no one around here will mind a little dog:). She promptly brought out menus and proceeded to ask if she could say "hi" to our dog (always a good sign !!!) She then proceeded to plop right down a give our Joey lots back scratches and belly rubs, laughing when he got in a few quick kisses!! That in its self made me feel good. she took our drink orders and came right back with those and to take our food order. We both ordered burgers and when I asked for mine with out the bun she asked if it was because of a gluten issue because she had some of her OWN gluten free buns if I'd like one!! (this lady was offering me her own food, I was floored by her generosity) However when I explained I skip the bun due to trying to cut back on carbs which then means I can eat some fries, because I LOVE fries, she just laughed and encouraged my husband to order the hand cut and battered onion rings as they are really good (and she's right, they were fantastic!!) The burgers were hand made and cooked perfectly. Service was prompt even though it looked like she was both waitress and bartender and we were the only ones sitting outside. We love to find these little out of way, one of a kind places and we will be back to try some of the other many menu options.

I want to set the stage for you. You're driving along highway 101 along Hood Canal. The road is 2 lanes and windy, following the beautiful Puget Sound and sunny blue sky one one side and on the other a dense forest with the occasional house thrown in. You're thinking how beautiful the scenery is, how you'd like to retire to this corner of the world someday... Suddenly you realize your stomach is growling so you pull over to a small shack of a restaurant that's in a small clearing across from the water. The first thing you notice is the motorcycles. Highway 101 is full of guys and gals in leather riding big nice motorcycles, and they all seem to be here. There is a gigantic plastic burger sitting on the top of this small and slightly run down tavern, and you think. What the hell, I could go for a burger and a drink. This place is mostly frequented by locals, I know this because our waitress seemed to know a lot of the people there. We sat on the deck, enjoying the burst of northwest springtime sun, at one of the 6 patio tables. The chairs are all either a white or green plastic variety that seem to be in every person's backyard. I had a margarita on the rocks (next time I think I'll get a beer), the wine list has white, crisp white, white zin or red, so I'll pass on wine. The food is mostly burgers, different versions of fish and chips, and mexican food. The chips can be had with shrimp, oysters, cod or halibut, though I don't know any northwesterner who would pick cod over halibut, especially when they're the same price. I had a cheeseburger, Mitchell had the bacon cheeseburger. These were NOT frozen patties, these were gigantic 8oz patties that had been seasoned and shaped by someones hands and they were juicy and just the slightest bit pink in the very middle. Excellent. Fries and salad were nothing to write home about. But the ambiance and having a place to sit in the sun sheltered from wind was great. Dogs appear to be welcome, and there is definitely no rush when you get there. Enjoy the people watching, have a good burger and soak in some rays. I didn't go inside but I did see a pool table and christmas lights.

Best burger on the canal. Pickeled onions on the salads, decent prime rib and tony and bri are the coolest!

Look out for the 80 year old, mange infested, affectionate, greeting dog outside, after that everything is peaches. Jalapeno burger is best in the land. Oysters are Yum. Duck fartini a must order. Price is so nice you can afford to play the quarter in jar of water game. Main strategy equals cheat.

I am a SCUBA diver who spends a good amount of time in the hood canal area. I have eaten at a variety of restaurants that claim to have "good" or "the best" burgers. So when a friend suggested this as a good place for a burger and that it was the best burger they have had I was dubious. From the moment my bacon cheese burger arrived I knew it was going to be great and I was not disappointed. Everything about this burger was perfect. When I took my last bite I was sad. Not because I was still hungry but because I had no more burger. I ended up going back again the very next day and ordered the same burger. This was more to see if they are consistently great or if I just lucked out. They are consistently great. If you are driving up the hood canal and get a chance to stop take the opportunity.

Just moved into the area and absolutely already love this place! When you walk in the door it feels homey and friendly instantly. We were greeted right away and enjoyed our entire evening there with great food and new friends!

I love this place! The huge hamburger out front is a total flashback to the 50's and if it's good weather you get a nice view of the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains out back. Horseshoes and billiards, good drink and great food. How could you go wrong? Menu isn't anything fancy but it can please anyone. Not so hungry? Try one of their $3 appetizers or a cup of house made chili. Their fish and chips are fantastic....cod or halibut, both made to order with a fantastic beer batter. Sit at the bar and you'll even see what type of beer they use! Don't forget Taco Thursday!

Eclectic little spot in the road with great service and the feel of your local cafe/biker bar all rolled into one. The place was swamped and with just a single waitress and cook we were treated like we were the only ones in the place. Food is solid.. Not to die for... but is certainly good and filling. Clam strips were overdone but the burgers and fries were good.
