Best bed and breakfast in Leavenworth. Absolutely gorgeous view. We stayed in the Almrosen room and it is gorgeous. You can light your own wood burning fire, have a large jet tub, his and hers sinks, the shower heads shoot out from 2 sides head to knee. The bed is cozy, amazing quality sheets, and has a sheer princess cover to enclose the entire bed (you have to pull it out around the bed yourself) It also has a private balcony to overlook the mountains. We used the hot tub outside and drank wine at night. Randy & Renee are very nice and accommodating with anything you need. The breakfast was fantastic and we had various meats, cheeses, oatmeal with many toppings, English muffins, fresh oj, and homemade Aebleskivers served fresh (Danish pancakes) it is close to the heart of Leavenworth, so you can walk or drive, your choice. (2 min drive, 10- 15 min walk) I cannot wait to stay here again and cannot say enough nice things about Abendblume. If I could live there I would! My significant other and myself cannot wait to go back again and are looking forward to our next stay.
i've been meaning to write a review of the abendblume since my wife and i stayed there for a weekend last spring. we had a wonderful time! renee is such a delightful and welcoming host. the breakfast that renee serves is simply fabulous. it's a bed and breakfast--do not miss the breakfast! it's a wonderful opportunity to meet the other guests and to chat with renee as well. and the breakfast itself is amazing--pastries, coffee, eggs, wow! i'm getting weak just imagining it right now. the setting is just stunning. the views of the outside surroundings, near and far, are picture-perfect. and the inn itself is so comfortable and cozy, we really felt at home. the location is away from the bustle of downtown leavenworth, which is perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. but it's also very close to town, so that you can easily enjoy the rest of what leavenworth has to offer. there are no large street signs giving directions to the abendblume, so just keep your eye out for the inn as you're driving up. if you find yourself driving up a hill, you've gone too far and you'll have to turn around. this was our first visit to leavenworth. i imagine we'll be back again soon, and when we do, we hope to stay at the abendblume.
I'm sorry, I haven't yelped a review in quite a while - but my experience at this place needed to shared. pronto. just got back yesterday. My husband and I were lucky because we decided to take a quick weekend getaway to Leavenworth from Seattle spontaneously - all the lodging for the area was booked but there happened to be one room available the night we needed it! (After speaking to the owner, there was a last minute cancellation) - Thankfully it worked out! I spoke with Renee over the phone ( I believe the co-owner with her husband) and she was lovely and made the reservation for me - When we arrived, I felt like I was whisked away to the country side - It was about a mile away from the downtown area - close enough for a quick 3 minute drive into the Bavarian village and far enough for a romantic, serene retreat. -the entry way/driveway is magical! it's a long driveway lined with birch trees -the grounds are extremely well-maintained the grass was lush & bright green/flowers planted abundantly - and the front entrance was literally just like a dream..never been to Germany, but I think its what it would look like living in the countryside... -greeted by Becky (Renee's sister) when we arrived. very courteous & sweet. (dessert was offered in the evening upon arrival - cheesecake & coffee! -loved the European feel & design of rooms -our room was the almrosen and couldn't have been better. (fireplace that we used! although, its the summer - it was nice having the crackling fire in the evening...) amazing bedding & king-sized bed - jet tub & multi-shower heads in the shower.. -we used the hot tub in the evening and was able to soak it up among the stars -breakfast was served in the morning by Becky -homemade banana bread with eggs caprice, fresh fruits, yogurt/oatmeal & morning breads with fresh coffee/ juice...my husband and I ate it out on the patio and just enjoyed the mountains and hills -Sunday morning an elderly man also played the alpenhorn! that was a treat :) This was my first bed & breakfast experience - although, I have nothing to base my review on - I truly believe the quality and experience was TOP NOTCH - the bar has been set HIGH....I would highly highly recommend Abendblume!!

Absolutely loved this place! We went two nights in a row since it was so enjoyable. The first night we had dinner reservations elsewhere but had an hour or two to kill beforehand so we tried the white wine flight and got the olives and cheese bread. We sat outside and enjoyed the mountains looming over the town while we tasted wine. The second night we came and tried the red wine flight plus ordered food from the pizza place next door (Idlewild) which will deliver to tables at Prost as well. We're usually white wine drinkers, but the Malbec was such a good drink that I got a bottle to take home with us that night. The server/host at Prost really made us feel welcome and special as well, spending personal time talking to us about our trip to Leavenworth and what we had enjoyed doing. If we had stayed a third night, I know we would have ended up going yet again to Prost!
My husband and I love coming to Prost after work. They have a fabulous selection of wines. In fact, I've never had anything I didn't like. They let you taste the wine pours so, if you happen to not prefer something you're not locked into the whole glass. Also, on Mondays all bottles are 30% off, which is great if you come with friends to listen to music!
This place is a refreshing change to the usual tourist traps in Leavenworth. It had a great ambiance and nice conversation areas. There are several wine bottle selections and a few selections for ordering by the glass (a few white, red, sparkling, and beer). They have put together some great plates for small bites and try featuring the local Cured meats. I am so happy to find this spot and look forward to checking out their pizza place next door.

Quaint and comfy cafe for home style cooked breakfast with organic eggs and local ingredients. Nice selection of fresh baked goods that look so delicious. We are having a croissant with ham, cheese and eggs and a Burrito with black beans, cheese, eggs and veggies. The burrito came with zucchini (oops, wife is allergic to this family of veggies) so we left that out. Then the chef came out to our table and asked what veggies we would like in the burrito--lots of mushrooms! Oh boy!!! Both were so scrumptious and hearty served with a mouth-watering presentation--do check my pics! Made with quality ingredients! Service with a smile! Warm and convivial setting inside! WiFi! Good coffee! I highly recommend starting your day here--chow down, then, take a long hike into the Leavenworth wonderful wilderness. They serve dinner too and the menu looks great as well! 5 Star--way to knock out of the park Good Mood Food!
The ham croissant was delicious and my daughter lover her waffle. We were surprised at how good it was perfect way to start the day with food and coffee. The only down side is when I asked a question the barista got was a little snarky with me, other than that it was a great experience.
I was quite impressed with this place, actually. It was super cute and the staff was friendly. Our food was mostly delicious, though I nearly broke a tooth in a bone that was in the lamb gyros (and there was also quite a bit of gristle in there). Also the food took a little longer than we expected (~15 min), though it was very nicely laid out on the plate, with a lovely little side salad. Ordered the veggie quiche as well and it was yumsters. Would definitely come back, and hopefully there would be seats available outside :)
