I've eaten at Five Guys a few times and only once so far at the Issaquah location. There's a lot of options for burgers here on the Eastside, and some very good ones. Burgermaster and Broiler Bay being standouts of quality and local business goodness. Unfortunately we don't have Dick's on this side of Lake Washington, Not yet anyway. So then there's Five Guys, no its not local, but its also not a soulless multi-national chain peddling chemicals disguised as food. Its a good quality burger, that I personally AM willing to pay a little more for. Fresh cut fries, and never frozen beef patties? Sounds a lot like another place or two... Unless you're REALLY hungry, order the small burger, and for every 2 people you have only get one order of fries. If you're alone? Just accept that you probably shouldn't try to finish the fries, there's just.. too many of them. From the other reviews I've read a lot of people seem to really dislike that the burgers are big and sloppy. I'm sorry, what were you expecting? A McBurger puck on some newpaper recycled as a bun? Until In-n-Out (Best Burgers Ever, 12 out of 5 stars) answers my demands and expands to the PNW (they're in Texas and Utah, of all places, now). This is probably the best, non-local, chain burger available.

We've ordered online for take-away and also have eaten in the restaurant of the Issaquah Five Guys. Unless you haven't had a thing to eat in several days, keep to the Small burger because anything larger and you're adding whole additional meat patties. I like that all the toppings are free and that the choice there is pretty complete. I normally just order "everything" which includes mushrooms. Turns out that's not a good choice when doing the take-away thing because the mushrooms seem to be pretty saucy and they make the bun soggy by the time I get the bag of food home. When eating in the store, mushrooms are a fine addition! Yes, it's noisy and bright -- it's the black & white glossy ceramic tile on the walls, black and white linoleum checkerboard floor, aluminum chairs painted to look like wood tones. It's fine for a burger joint. When it's busy, not only is it loud but it's difficult to find a table (the restaurant is kind of small considering their rush hour business) and the register lines can be rather long. They don't always seem to have enough cashiers at the register at times they ought to be striving to push a lot of folks through. The fries have always been the star of the meals here as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps we've just been lucky but they've always been fresh, hot, not-too-salty and there are TONS of them. A small order is more than enough for 3 people to share if they're also having sandwiches. We usually order them plain but ask for the cajun seasoning on the side and they're always happy to oblige. Value for price paid is borderline. It can get really expensive really fast and, while the burgers are good, they're not great. But they are quick and that's worth something! The restaurant has always been spotless when I've been in to pick up or eat in. Wish they had a window just for picking up pre-ordered meals that have already been paid for -- or a drive up window but that's going to happen in this shopping center location.

I ate at a fast food chain for the first time in many years!! I had just left the dentist which is next door and went in to get a drink. When ordering the drink I noticed a sign mentioning where the potatoes for the fries were from. The wonderfully polite young man told me the fries are made to order everyday and never frozen. Since most fast food fries are not gluten free I questioned him and he promised nothing was put on the fries before cooking them. The small size of fries were just the right size! I also ordered a bun-less burger and was in heaven! I'm not sure about the meat so will ask more questions about where they get it etc.next time I go, in but the fries were yummy!

Finally we got to try Five Guys! Loved the burger - we both got the two-patty burgers (rather than the "little" ones). We got our burgers w/ EVERYTHING (all their condiments / add-ons are free which is great and you can order EVERYTHING which gives you all the condiments listed on the top line - which is terrific!). These are juicy sloppy luscious burgers, just the way they should be. Much better than Dick's, hands down. Much better than Fat Burger - without question. Jaks is very good too but we kinda prefer the two grilled patties for all the extra grilled flavor. We're split as to which is the best burger place - Jaks or Five Guys - they're both really good. Kinda depends what experience you want, and your personal preference. Oh yes - it was nice how the 1st order was marked with #1, and the 2nd order was marked with #2 so we knew which burger was which. Simple, elegant, good thinking. He got the hot dog with EVERYTHING as well - and loved it. The hot dog is split and grilled. We ordered one order of large fries - very good! Definitely more than enough for two. They are fresh, they are a bit thick cut and I prefer skinny but still enormously tasty! Thank you for having malt vinegar - yes! Would have been nice to have milkshakes as a beverage option (we don't do soft drinks), but their menu is very short and simple. Still milkshakes would be nice - hint hint. It was noisy as hell when we walked in at 1pm on a Sunday, but we were able to get a table and by the time we'd finished, the place had mostly cleared out. The tables and chairs are packed in so it's not a fine dining experience. But the noise was part of the expected charm and ambiance. Great music playing too! We'll be back to try some of the variations - w/ cheese, w/ bacon. Though the burger without cheese / bacon was quite fine, and the add-ons seemed a bit pricey. The menu is simple, the food is good, the prices are comparable to other places. Definitely 5 stars for Five Guys!

It was a Saturday afternoon and Five Guys was packed to the brim, meaning there was a waiting line to get a table to sit there. I come in with 2 other people only to discover that there is one girl working the cash register. One cash register open for a full restaurant of hungry people wanting fast food? WTH? My boyfriend had a $50 gift card to spend on himself and his friend; he had been raving about how good it was and how excited that they had opened a chain in Issaquah. We go in and have about $36.00 of food ordered, the girl swipes his gift card, and somehow the God of Gift Card Reader decides to not work. She keeps telling us that the "system was down." It is a gift card with money already on it. How is it broken? How is the debit/credit card reader NOT down? This went through my mind as she ended up holding a line of people that was waiting out of the door. The manager was called in and he kept swiping the card up and down as if it were going to work for the 15th time he swiped it. The funniest part of this was that I was staring at all three stands at every cash register (of the few available) that had gift cards for sale while we were holding up the line. The manager kept implying that we should just use cash this time to pay for the food. Why? We have in our hands $50 that is specifically for Five Guys. We have already paid for this lunch, pretty much. The management here is pretty shitty, to say the least. The manager offered no solution to this problem. Never bothered to troubleshoot. The best he could do was to offer free drinks, but none of us even like soda. So that was my experience--bad and slow service, overpriced burgers, a terrible ambiance, and food that we never got to eat. If it weren't for the gift card, I would consider not ever going back.

This place gives you a taste of the fair without the crowds - Massive grease and lots of French fries. Good to some but not quite my taste. In other words a gut bomb.

  • Ben F.

Tried this for the first time ever today. It defiantly hits the burger/fries crave. It was good I will go back but hopefully not too often as it is very high in fat/calories...

Well, if you want an enormous, greasy cheeseburger with all the fixings, this is a place to go. I went here today, and ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Cajun Fries. The thing about 5 Guys is that the portions are huge. A small fry can easily feed 3 people. The Burgers taste great. A couple of minor gripes: It's a llittle pricey, I wish they had shakes, and they have the Coke machines that don't get the mixes right when you use them. However, they are close to work, and I like Burgers, so I'll be coming back.

Ok folks, Its a 5 Guys, not Canlis. If you're expecting over-the-top service and a quiet dining experience go elsewhere. I'm getting a bit tired of reviews of this place being noisy and bright and everyone whining about it. GET OVER IT. Now, the food. No better burger will be found in Issaquah than this place. Yes Jaks is very good, but 5 Guys still manages to get it right. The Fries are cooked to perfection and have the freshest taste imaginable. A little bit pricey, but worth it!

The burger did have flavor and the cheese was melty goodness. However, the bun was soggy and wet bread cannot be overcome by any other attribute. The dining experience equated to pure sensory bombardment. The lights are very bright and the decor full of bright colors. The place is crammed with chairs and tables so much so that you feel imprisoned at your table. I had to limbo my way out of my seat because there is zero room between tables and chairs. It is also extremely loud where you must shout to be heard with those at your table. Considering the eating experience and the actual burger I walked away feeling dirty. Not something I want to feel after dining out. I would recommend ordering to go, but only if you like a soaked hamburger bun.Otherwise I cannot think of ever returning.

The Five Guys in Issaquah is definitely one of the better in the state. The tables are always clean and the food is amazing every time that I have been there. I suppose a downside is the atmosphere. It can get pretty crowded and noisy if you choose to eat inside, but it's a pretty small joint, and that's to be expected. I've been to this one maybe 4 or 5 times since it has opened, and my orders are always spot on and cooked right. I love this place and will keep coming back!

  • Liz W.

Sometimes you are in a hurry but you want the fun of eating out. The service is impeccable and the food high quality. The fries are memorable. I almost gave it 4 stars because my son who only eats chicken picked at his burger. It's a burger joint! The fresh jalapeño was a surprise and delight!

  • Vaidy R.

Nothing like In-n-Out. They overload you on fries and give you a big-ass burger (I bought the hamburger with 'all' toppings option) that really has no distinct taste and you feel like throwing up when you are done. The staff is nice and the place is packed, but they are prompt in cleaning it up. So, I don't have a problem with ambience...but I do not get what all the hype is for.

Sorry XXX burgers. If you really need a burger the size of a dinner plate, order 2. Quality is better than quantity.

  • Gina C.

Pros: REALLY good burger - super tasty (be sure to order the "small" burger b/c the regular one comes with two patties). Fries are great and I love their soda fountain. You can also order ahead online - I already tried that once and it worked out perfectly. Smooth operation. They keep the place clean, at all times that I've been there, there seems to be a full-time employee constantly sweeping the floor and wiping tables. Cons: Very expensive for fast food. ~$11 for a small burger, fries and a drink. Very small space - they should've leased a space twice the size espcially for how busy they are.

Summary: Not what I was expecting...questionable value for the money. I'd heard that Five Guys Burgers had recently opened a new location in Issaquah and was pretty excited about the prospect of a good local burger joint, but it wasn't until tonight that I finally got around to acting on my original impulse and finding out where it was: turns out, it's right near Target. Given the recent cold snap, a burger and fries sounded really good, so Blushing Bride and I set off for Five Guys with eager anticipation of a dinner of delicious comfort food. Turns out, we were somewhat wrong. I'm sure you're familiar with the format - enter, place your order and pay for it, find a table, wait 'till your number is called, grab it, eat and go. Well, the first shock was when I paid for the dinner: $20.41 for two cheeseburgers, one regular order of fries, and two bottles of water (16.9 oz. Dasani for $1.79/ea)! Hey, you're getting into "sit down restaurant territory here"! Compared to the In-n-Out (look it up) standard, you're about 40% higher! When we picked up our order, I'll admit it looked pretty good. I'd ordered a burger combination that was similar to a "Double-Double Animal Style" setup from In-n-Out, and it looked almost the same. Problem was, it didn't taste the same. The Five Guys burger was more greasy, the meat had less flavor, and the bun just wasn't as good. On a one to five rating basis (where In-n-Out or Red Mill scores a five) this burger was in the three-ish territory. The fries were worse. There was no flavor, and the only way I can describe the taste is flat. Hell, even Mickey-D makes better fries. Two stars. Given the combination of a three star burger, two star fries, and the high price for what you get, I'm going with a two star rating for this place. Which is surprising, because I remember the Renton location being better (I think I gave it four stars). To those of you who compared Five Guys favorably to In-n-Out's product, I suggest you refresh your memory and go there - it's *way* better!

TOO LOUD!!!! I was excited to have a Five Guys in town. But disappointed after I got my burger, which was not made correctly. I have gone to this particular site 5 times now, and every time my burger is not made the way I ordered it. So I decided after the last time to just get fries there.. that didn't work either! I ordered regular fries and they gave me cajun. I took them back up and eventually got it fixed, and then the fries I got were old. I'll give them one more chance on the fries, but I won't waste my money on their burgers again. Not worth the money.

  • Kelli D.

Don't go out of your way for this burger. It seemed they were precooked, the bun was cold and the meat was dry and flavorless. There were signs all over saying that they had the best fries...I don't think so. They were undercooked. :( On the plus side, the service was good. When will the Eastside get a Red Mill?!?!?!

Love the burgers. Not a huge fan of the fries. Hate that they have peanuts in their store because both my sons are allergic!!

  • Jeff C.

This is a chain originating on the East Coast that has come out West. All the East Coast transplants and curious locals alike are most likely giddy about the place opening, reminiscent of when Krispy Kreme opened. Good luck finding a parking space on weekends during the Holiday Season but then that may help self-regulate the size of the crowds. Similar to In N Out or Fatburger, another burger maker cashing in on the hamburger enthusiast by giving a supposedly higher-quality option to the Mega Burger Chain establishment . They use fresh beef with a Subway-ish wide variety of toppings to choose from. Their main differentiator is the use of peanut oil to cook the fries served 'boardwalk style' and they proudly display their kegs of peanut oil and the name of where the potatoes came from on a chalkboard. Their buns are also heavier than your average (supposedly higher egg and sugar content - trying to go borderline pastry bun??) The regular size burger is two patties and can be a bitt hard to eat unless you have big hands - a complete mess if you get a lot of toppings. It's a sizeable amount of food so if you have an average appetite and aren't a giant, go for the little size, especially if you plan on eating fries with it. They also have hot dogs. I chose to skip the fries and go for the regular burger. Quite good but so is pretty much any well-cooked hamburger with fresh, high-fat ground beef. Speed of service is going to depend on the customer load and number of employees but it took about 5 minutes to get 3 hamburgers when it was busy, so their assembly line has probably worked out any kinks. Ambience is a crowded mad-house as might be expected but they seem to be on the ball cleaning up after everyone. Be warned -- this place is not a good destination for people with food allergies. If you are highly allergic to peanuts, the air alone might set you off. However this location did not have the free peanuts with shells all over the floor like the one I visited in Virginia though so you may be okay with it. I watched them cook the burgers and there is a significant risk of cross-contamination for those allergic to milk (cheese) and there is milk in the buns along with gluten, soy, and eggs. If you have none of these food allergies (which is most people), and need your fix for a good burger, then this place will give you another attractive option on the Eastside. It merits 4 stars as it does a good job accomplishing what it has set out to do and serving the demographic it targets. In a nutshell (no pun intended) It's satisfying. Be warned though, you may cringe when looking at the board and see that the large fries have over 1,500 calories. WOW! It really is JUST another hamburger but a good one at that. Most hamburger enthusiasts should enjoy it - but maybe best not too often. ;)

Overpriced burgers that taste exactly like all other burgers. French fries, not too good either.

    (1)
  • Alan B.

I guess I am not a super fan with five guys. Just like other people's review. It's nothing like In-n-Out burger. I truely believe it's over priced. For the whole meal with drink it cost me around $12. For in-n-out it will be around $6. For that amount of money, I can go to Fat Burger or Red Robin. The place is too packed, that you can't really move around much. However, you can order your burger ahead via their website. I think it's a nice feature. If you order the burger with "all the way" or "everything" it may be too much, and the burger will be too saggy.

A step above McDonalds, Burger King and all those other fast food restaurants! I love this place, service is always great but this particular location has a weird set up. The Redmond location is built for long lines but this place you'll probably end up out the door. Burgers are great, fresh cut fries and free peanuts while you wait! Can't get any better than that! + Fresh burgers and fries! - If you order to-go, the burgers get soggy because they are wrapped in foil right after they are made, way too much condensation. They need to figure out a new wrapping method... Tips: Don't be the one in line that takes 20 minutes to order deciding on the toppings, look them up online before you go!

Grew up in So Cal eating In n Out Burgers thought I'd never find any as good...I actually found something better!

I wish this was in and out burger. It reminds me of in and out but isn't half as good.

    (3)
  • Elaine W.

I'd give this five stars but I personally like Red Mill better. The fries are FANTASTIC and you only need to order one serving for a table of four! Lots of wasted fries unfortunately. The burgers are huge - I usually get the smaller single patty bc the regular size is just too much. Pluses are: peanuts in the shell for the kids while you wait (DO NOT go here if you have a peanut allergy!), and freestyle coke machine.

  • Dimitri H.

My wife picked up a couple small burgers (beware the regular burger is a double). The burgers were excellent and the fries were tasty (not as crispy as I would have liked but the flavor made up for it) and you really can feed two people on one order of fries. The burgers came as they were ordered. As good as Fat Burger? I'd say on-par but I give Fat Burger the nod because of the Fat Fries (steak cut).

these guys are awesome every bit as good as you think they should be. great burgers, great place.

  • Phillip P.

Tasty burgers!! The fries were less than desirable. This place is going for "The Varsity" feel with the yelling and whatnot. The atmosphere inside is pretty tight quarters and you might find it hard to find a seat. They offer free peanuts in shells that you can serve yourself which is nice, but you got to try out the fountain soda machine, its all digital and has multi-flavor options. Like when you select coke or sprite for example, it moves the next screen and has vanilla, cherry and many more I can't recall but its cool.

  • DanandShelley T.

Yes, they are trying to copy In-n-Out. No, it is not the same. But if you want a decent burger this place will do. The fries are hand cut, which is nice, but there was enough salt on them to cause a heart attack in a perfectly healthy person. Food was certainly fresher than the average fast food burger place, but it is pricier too. Our server was very helpful as this was our first visit to a Five Guys and we had no idea how their order process worked. Bottom line, if you are having a burger and fries craving, this place will take care of it but we were kind of underwhelmed.

Second time visiting 5 guys, and meh. Ordered little cheese burger with lettuce, onion, tomato, relish, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. No lettuce was on the burger I waited 15 minutes for, and the bun was over warmed to the point it turned into commercial bun powder

Five Guys consistently serves great burgers. I prefer mine relatively plain, with cheese and bacon, not hidden beneath layers of condiments, and these don't disappoint. (Want lots of goop on your burgers? Go to Red Robin.) The "standard" burger is a double, so unless you're very hungry either get the "little" one or skip the fries. The fries are good too, as long as you don't let them get steamed in the sack (they get soggy). The portion size is way too big for a "regular" fry, so unless you are feeding an army a single order will do fine for the whole table. The biggest downside to this location: It's not big enough. While it's wide enough, it's not nearly deep enough. The store overall should be twice the size. Also, the music was too loud, making it hard to carry on a conversation. Please, crank it down a few notches. I prefer the Bellevue location to the Issaquah one - much more spacious.

We go to Five Guys often. They claim they never freeze anything and make everything from scratch every morning. Their burgers are delish and use real beef and prices are like McDonalds (without the coupons). They start making your patty when you order the burger and you can add from multiple usual toppings plus grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, grilled green peppers, or even grilled jalapenos (yummy!) for no extra charge. For a $4 little burger that's a pretty good deal. While you wait you can shell and eat complimentary peanuts that are stacked around the restaurant. We always get the little burgers as they are average sized and the full sized burgers have 2 patties and are huge. They are nice enough to give you sides if you ask and my daughter always gets her grilled mushrooms and green peppers on the side. The fries are fresh handcut and are huge, so order little fries unless you're 2 people. They give you Cajun salt on the side too if you want to do half regular, half cajun. Here's my take on the constant debate on the best fast food burger. I have tried In-n-Out in CA and Vegas, and I would say that the beef patty seasoning is slightly better at In-n-Out but the toppings are better at Five Guys. If you really know how to customize your burger - maybe get Cajun salt on side and add it to patty, get grilled veggies on side and lay on burger yourself you can get a great burger at Five Guys. As far as the fries go, I prefer the rustic hand-cut ones at Five Guys with a dash of Cajun salt. But overall, nothing beats freshly made no-salt McD fries. Five Guys serve only burgers and hotdogs, no chicken burger. Their veggie burger is the same with no patty which is a bummer as I can't go there with vegetarian friends and most of my family is vegetarian. Service is friendly and the mix and match soda machines are so much fun! TIP - Order little burger and top it up with grilled veggies for a cheaper and healthier meal. Get the grilled veggies on the side if you're eating later, it prevents the burger from getting soggy. Get grilled jalapenos to spice it up. Little fries = Regular fries in other restaurants. So go small. Get the small soda and refill. Try crazy combos from their endless options.

It's a chain restaurant so I won't be rating base on food! (just service and cleanliness) FOOD: Food was decent for a fast food joint! Juicy burgers, average buns. All toppings free of charge! (LOVE IT) The fries weren't to bad. They were just fries to me, oily fried potatoes! SERVICE: Friendly staff! Someone was cleaning and wiping down the tables while we were dining in. Also, asking if we needed anything as we got up! PRESENTATION: Clean with a lot of tables! LOCATION: Great spot. Walking distance from Target and REI! Lots of parking! WOULD I COME BACK: If i'm in the area =) ADVICE: Grilled onions and jalapeños is a must for burgers!! mmmmhmmm

It's Five Guys; it's gonna be good. But the lunch hour rush causes long waits for your food, even if you order ahead of time via online. If you order fries, a small size will suffice -- they give you plenty.

  • Sandra L.

Good value for your money. Burgers are tasty and you have many choices of topping, mushrooms. Restaurant is kept clean and service is good and friendly. Very family friendly. It can get really noisy when busy and for some reason they keep the music blasting. Hence the three stars. I take out most of the time. Fries are good too. Parking is available right outside the door.

I live in the area and went in here one time. I have not been back since. For the amount of food you get and the low quality of said food, it's a huge rip off. The hype is not real when it comes to Five Guys. All I ordered was a burger and they couldn't even correctly get condiments correct. McDonald's beef surely comes from the moon. I'd say Five Guys gets theirs from Mars, as the beef was extremely dry and somewhat rubbery. I pass by all the time and the place is usually packed during dinner hours. Maybe many people are experiencing their first time or maybe we have lots of Martians living here who come to the one location where they can satiate their hunger for a "home cooked" meal. I was always skeptical about the In-N-Out hype in California I heard people raving about, but I discovered that hype was real. Dick's in Seattle is hyped up. Their stuff is decent, at least. The Five Guys hype - I have no idea where that stems from. Not approved.

The thing that I love about Five Guys is that it's so consistent. I rarely crave burgers but when I do (and I'm not near an In-n-Out) then Five Guys is my go-to place. I always get a cheeseburger with everything and cajun fries. There's a ton of grease but if you balance this with the fresh lettuce and tomatoes, it doesn't taste AS unhealthy. My favorite are the cajun fries. I would come here just for them. I have come here just for them. And I regret nothing.

Burgers and Fries are as amazing as in any 5 Guys. Tasty, real beef burgers. Fresh and warm fries. One of the few places in the area open after 9 (how sad is that for Issaquah). All good. Now, one of the things that makes a difference in this shop is Mr Barnie. Puerto Rican rock star that is a total crack up, especially late in the evening when we're all low energy and he is right there to keep the night going. Kudos to him, and thanks.

Absolutely love this place!! We get the junior bacon cheeseburgers and one order of fries (its plenty), that is a cheap meal and comparatively to other similar style places for this food the calorie count is like 400-600 less for each person. I will gladly pick this burger place for a to go order over anything else here in Issaquah.

Yum. As long as you have a strong heart this place is great!! Delicious burgers and fries. Don't visit if your counting calories. Good place to take kids! Can get crowded on the weekends.

Bought in to their marketing, so gave it a try, with the extensive self promotion inside, I'd expect more pride. It was a home style burger, not a lot different than the major chains but 2 times the cost. This location was apparently missing a broom and someone to wipe down tables, not a clean one in the place... Maybe it was packed earlier.

Was there no manager or supervisor working on July 3rd around noon? While the food was as good as usual, the couple of clowns working the kitchen were immature and offensive. If I need to hear someone repeatedly exclaiming how the number 69 is his favorite number or watch that same person doing hip thrusts while cooking my food I'll be sure to let them know. In the meantime, a restaurant full of families doesn't need this kind of "entertainment".

Well I should have read the reviews from the people that rated this for what it is not impressed. Was there when it was slow maybe 8 customers in the place ordered a burger and fries and a drink. Burger was hot, but a cold bun, cold bacon and a dry tasteless burger patty that didn't even a little salt on it to give it some flavor. Never again, for the money no real value here. I don't get the reviews that state this is the best burger in the nation. What I read on their in store self inflated advertising is that the last time the where voted best burger was in 2009. If this is the best burger in the nation I want to know what those people ate because it was not what I had.

Overrated burgers here. I know people love this place but, i ate there five or seven times and the last three I couldn't figure out why I was. Everyone I was with each time felt hungry after leaving. Bergers have a texture that seems like filler (not saying it is cause I don't know but I seems like it) and fries are hindering on the brink of styrophome texture. I'm done.

This isn't a review of the chain (which I love) but this particular store. Honestly, Five Guys corporate should come take a look at this place and see what's going wrong. The hamburger meat has no flavor, the wait staff is incompetent (wrong orders, they don't speak English fluently) and I've felt sick after eating here on two separate occasions.

It never goes wrong at Five Guys. For a fast food restaurant, the quality of the food is too good for its price. Love that. I'm not much of a meat person, so I chose the Little Hamburger. The size of the burger is the same as the regular; the only difference is that the regular has 2 patties. I love how I can customize my toppings, all for free. What a deal! You also have to get the fries here.....SO GOOD! Speaking of selection, it goes the same for the drinks. Free refills so I'd say you save money by getting a small, unless you have to to-go. It's a great place to go if you want a quality, inexpensive burger.

First time here and the burgers were good. The price is really cheap compared to hawaii burgers. Oh and free peanuts where you could throw the shells on the ground for their tradition so I threw some on the floor:x I loved the soda machine with 20 different flavors

I came into 5 guys about 20 minutes after they opened. There were only 3 other people there. I ordered a little cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard and mayo. That's it, pretty simple right? Obviously not for them. I had already left by the time i unwrapped my burger so I couldn't complain/ask for a new one. So I ate mayo with a side of beef, bun, ketchup and the littlest bit of mustard. Don't eat here!!! They repeat offenders!

Being the only person in the restaurant, I was surprised to wait about 15 minutes for my order, which only consisted of a burger and fries. At 2:30 on a weekday nonetheless

Five Guys is a consist company and there are so few of this quality available these days. The employees are always very helpful and friendly. The food is always fast and incredible.

I know this place gets a lot of slack for being noisy and kind of dirty (aka peanut shells all over the floor), but I can't help but really like it. They combine juicy, tasty burgers and fries (hence the name) with really fair prices and quick service, which is honestly all I can ask for from a dive burger joint. I've had the hot dogs and burgers here, and both are tasty. Greasy and full of cholesterol? Yes. Oh yes. But who doesn't crave that every once in a while? Well, some of us more than others, and this is the place to go for those cravings. I also love that they have a wide variety of toppings and all are free, so you can kind of have a different burger every time. And again, cheap. My family of 5 ate here which includes 2 almost-teenagers, and we still paid less than $35. Can't beat that.

Love the ordering app, it's never more than a 5 min wait so I recommend using it anytime you order. Skip the lines. Low carb, lettuce wrapped option is convenient.

YUM YUM YUM! Is there anything better in life than a good burger and great fries?? I was having a really honestly terrible day - stressful to say the least and grouchy from hunger. After 1.5hrs in traffic, I debated whether or not to come out to Five guys, and I'm so glad I ended up going. What does it say about a burger that I can turn a crappy day completely 180 degrees around?? The fries were crisped to perfection, potatoey, but also soggy and salty as fries should be. The burger - sloppy, tons of condiments. GRILLED ONIONS! gotta love em. The only "beef" I have (pun intended) was with the meat patty. I watched as the cook squeezed the precious juices out of the patty and pressed it hard on the grill. *Cry* Thats where all the flavor is!! But the burger was delicious nonetheless, so no complaints. Thank you, Five Guys, for flipping my crappy day around!

I love Five Guys. Wait, I don't love five *actual* dudes. I love the restaurant. Actually, I probably do love five men: my dad, my brothers, my cousins. Okay, I love Five Guys Burgers AND I love a number of actual guys.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for some burgers and hot dogs. The place was relatively busy, but we were able to find a table easily. The four of us ordered some burgers, hot dogs and fries. I do like the fact that you can have free peanuts while you wait, as well as endless options with the drink dispenser. However, I would agree with some of the other reviewers that the portions aren't that big here. At other Five Guys locations, if you ordered french fries, they would literally give you a double order, but not at this location.

I'm a fan of this chain. It started in Northern Virginia where I use to work. It isn't anything but a straightforward burger with toppings. The meat is good and juicy. They probably use a 80-20 blend is my guess but it isn't fatty like some. The Fries are good but I'd recommend ordering one regular for 2-3 people. They have a new small and that is plenty for one but may be stretching it for two if they are hungry guys. This is the burger I dream about when I'm traveling overseas and can't get one.

  • Jessica P.

By far my favorite burger joint. The portions are huge! My husband can usually eat a lot but the burgers with two patties is a little too much for him. I don't know why other reviews say they 'skimp' on the fries. Oh no. No they don't. A small fry here is like a large fry at McDonald's. America has ruined portion sizes and people easily complain about it not being enough! It's enough! Just go with it! I also like the fact that they have a Coke machine that has endless flavors! Whoop! That's a plus! If you're in a hurry, you may not want to come here. It's always 5+ minute wait depending on how busy it is. It's not 'fast' food.

I come from Minnesota where there are absolutely outstanding Five Guys And Fries on every corner. Given that, I have to give this one a major thumbs down. They skimp on the fries, the meat, the everything. What they give you tastes lack-luster and nowhere near fresh. The staff seems to be slightly depressed and this establishment certainly isn't bustling like the ones I'm used to. In all honesty, If I'm going to risk getting heart burn, the burger needs to be better than this. Wah-wah. Hopefully they decide to start putting some effort and passion into their food. They've got a great base... wouldn't be difficult to turn a place like this around.

Just came back from yet another convenience stop here and realized I'm due for a review. I'd like to start by addressing the elephant in the room. These burgers, which supposedly get high marks, are pretty freaking tasteless. And no, I'm not comparing them to fast food artificial flavorings or to gourmet burgers. With all the beef I eat in restaurants and the full side of beef in my freezer I can honestly say the Five Guys meat has no flavor of its own. No personality. It's like the Mitt Romney of beef. Other than that, it's a pretty good burger. They'll add all kinds of fixings for no charge, like grilled onions and grilled mushrooms, so "have it your way" pretty much rules. Once you salt both meat patties, the whole thing is A-OK. Good bun, too. I'm awarding a fourth star for the fries. Excellent fries. Best quality potatoes fried in real peanut oil. They're always cooked correctly, too. I like this location. The staff are always friendly and service-oriented. Way better than the Renton and Overlake locations. The music they pick for these places is crap but I can overlook that for the great staff. All in all recommended. Just make sure to salt your patties first.

This is as good as it gets for hamburgers and fries here in Issaquah. I've always found the staff very friendly, offering to help me with the high chairs, holding the door, and overall helpful. To the reviewer that feels like this location has smaller portions than usual, I've found this is not to be the case with our experiences. A small order of fries easily feeds my husband and I plus two small kids. The patties are the same size here as any other location. Every time I have visited, there has always been a worker assigned to the dining room, cleaning, restocking, helping customers. No complaints and as good as it gets for hamburgers in our book.

A friend and I had a burgers that we both enjoyed from Five Guys today. I chose the double patty cheeseburger with plenty of the free toppings; jalapenos, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes. Coupled with a large iced tea, the whole shootin' match was under $10. not bad at all! Worth a stop for quick food in the 'Quah!

The Good: Cheap burgers A lot of free 'extras' (mushrooms, A1 sauce, etc.) Coke Freestyle soda machine w/ LCD screen that allows you to mix-n-match various flavors Free peanuts Decor reminiscent of the beloved In-N-Out The Bad: Burger patty wasn't particularly flavorful May have been a bad/end batch, but fries were very oily and not crispy Seems like Five Guys is NW's In-N-Out, always busy and packed. I think I'd prefer a Red Mill burger over this, but if I'm not in Seattle Five Guys is where it's at.

It's Five Guys...what else can I say! A delicious patty topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, relish with crisp fries. This meal can turn any bad day right around!

We ate here again today at around noon when they were super busy. They were friendly, had one sweet and friendly girl cleaning the lobby the whole time prepping tables for the next herd of customers. Our food was fresh and we had to wait for our fries to cool so we could share with our youngest. This is by far our favorite local burger place. We will definitely return.

One Word about this place.......YUCK.....:( My fiance's son raved about this place since the day it opened & has probably eaten there 3 times since. He's a pretty picky eater, so when he likes something, it must be good! Last Friday night we were deciding on dinner and decided to try Five Guys. We didn't want to go in, so we ordered on line (very cool tool, worked great...most don't ) and put in a for a time that we would pick up our food. Very simple order, couple of cheeseburgers & fries, nothing fancy. We get the order home, I unwrap my burger & immediately I am disgusted. The bun is soaked & soggy with grease. Displeased, but still hungry I decided to keep the bun on the burger and continue. First bite......dull. Meat didn't taste good, tasted more grease then anything. Pink color all through out which I didn't' care for. I like my meat cooked! Cheese was ok....nothing special about it. The fries were probably the highlight of the meal. Hand Cut with a good texture, but way to salty :( One order can easily feed two people. I was really disappointed about Five Guys, because I really did want to like them. They need to work on the burgers before they get my money & business anytime soon

Since it always takes a while to get your food I tried ordering online with the Five Guys app. You pay and order online and they make your fries when you arrive. I wish you had the option to pay when you arrive, especially if you want to use cash and don't want to have to call in your order since they are always busy. It was a little confusing and went through twice so my card got charged twice. I called the customer support hotline and they refunded me for the second order and were very helpful and told me this happened a lot. I'm sure it does if there's a whole hotline dedicated to it. That means they need to make the system better and give an option to pay with cash on arrival so this doesn't happen as much. I called the restaurant and told them not to make the second order since it went through twice by accident. I arrived right on time and my burger was partially soggy and therefore didn't taste as fresh and good as the other times when I walked in and ordered. The tomatoes inside were all soggy too. I have a feeling the burger was made a while before I showed up and not near the pick up time I stated. I still had to wait a bit anyway for them to make my fries. They ended up making my order twice even though I called and told them not to. I will never order with the phone app again. The food will be so much fresher when you just walk in and order. I have no problem waiting so I can get a freshly made burger.

Just found this new Five Guys in Issaquah! Went there for lunch and the food was terrific. I had a small bacon cheeseburger with the works plus jalapenos. The burgers are so flavorful and the fries are awesome. They have two of those new soda machines that give almost endless versions of sodas to choose from, as long as they are Coca-Cola products. It's great.

I dont know why this place has an average 3 stars because this place is BOMB! The veggies were so fresh, crisp and delicious and the burgers are juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside like you made them on the BBQ. I love how they have local ingredients and the oils have no trans-fat and crap in them. I didnt know this but they dont have ANY freezers just coolers so you know everything is fresh and good. SO AWESOME! Burger joints have come a long way since their begin and really gone down hill with company's like McDonald's and others, but it is nice to see burger joints getting back to their roots! Warning: the use peanut oil so if you are allergic, stay clear!

I'm kind of shocked to see the average for this place be 3 stars. My experience here was nothing but fantastic. I'm not one for fast food, but this is how a burger joint SHOULD be. Five Guys has returned my favor in the old school Burger Joints, not the flat-frozen-patties of today's McDonald's and Burger King. Five Guys makes fresh and great tasting burgers. You get your choice of size along with ANY toppings you'd like. The burger was juicy and full of flavor, ketchup be damned - this didn't need it. Unfortunately, I'm not a person that likes fries - so I can't judge on those. But I can say that if you're looking for a good burger, this is the place that you want to be.

Love this place. Great burgers, tasty fries, and lots of great toppings! Their bacon cheeseburger blows most burgers out of the water. Worth noting: Eat them as soon as possible after you get them, theyre so juicy the buns get soggy quickly and can't hold in all the awesomeness for long.

Great burgers and fries. Fast service. Free nuts. Good prices. How bad? The only negative is the online order service. I find that when I order online I end up waiting longer for the food, than if I just went in and ordered and waited. They serve everyone who is there before they give you your pre-order meal. The extra shovels of fries they pop in the bags make up for the wait though.

Only the truth will set you free. But if you wanna lie to yoself, das okay too. Unless you tryna say that Five Guys ain't the best burger chain joint in the nation. If you are, you ain't shit. Choose yo delicate combination of up to fifteen free toppings (don't forget the grilled mushrooms and grilled onions). Burgers aren't supposed to be complicated (I'm looking at you, Red Robin). Five Guys proves that they don't need to be. The bacon cheeseburger here is legendary. Get a "little" burger for a normal-sized burger. Get a burger if you wanna back dat ass up. Just don't be afraid of getting dirty. Get the cajun style fries. Remember to bring a 1-UP in case of a heart attack. You better be smashing the burger if that happens. Carpe fucking diem. Strong 4 outta 5

Boring. Bland. Tasteless. The meat is chewy and tasteless. The fries are bland and very dry. The menu is boring, uninspired and deceptive. You don't want a greasy bad burger? Opt for a grilled cheese sandwich or BLT instead? Nope! Their BLT is just crumbled up, over cooked tasteless bacon with some chopped lettuce and a slice of tomato... On a hamburger bun. They somehow managed to find the most bland american cheese on the planet, seriously they must have engineered this stuff to have zero flavor. The hotdogs are better than the rest of the menu but if you want a hotdog go down the road and get one at Costco, it's cheaper and tastes better, plus it's larger. On the "bright side" they have those soda fountains that dispense dozens of flavors and varieties of drink. I don't like those machines as the flavor of the last 100 drinks lingers and taints the taste of your drink. They have iced tea which would be ok but they don't keep it chilled so you have to fill your cup to the top with ice to cool your drink but this just leads to the tea melting the ice quickly and getting watered down and gross. Go to Costco, go to McDonalds, hell stay home and rummage through your fridge, you'll have better luck finding something tasty there than at Five Guys (who can't cook).

Super friendly staff, customizable burgers for the same price, and they taste pretty good. I also love their soda machine - although I've tried random flavors and always go back to the standards. Their fries portions are pretty big - I always get the 'little' if it's just me and my kiddo on a lunch date and it's way more than we can eat. When the hubby comes along we get the regular and that's just right for 2 adults and 1 kid. Also like that we can shell and munch on peanuts while we wait - shelling keeps the 4 yo busy way more than paper and crayons ever could :)

I was almost scared away from coming here because of the 3.5 star average at this location, but the free customizable toppings won me over and I'm so glad they did. The patties were juicy and tender; well cooked and not tough at all. Love the grilled mushrooms and grilled onions, and the ability to fully customize your burger right down to the sauces. I also really liked the fries, too. They are fried to just the right crispness but thick enough to be soft on the inside, unlike most other burger chains. Other skinnier and inferior fries could wear these fries like jackets. Kenneth took our order and was very kind and explained the details to us first timers.

great burgers. Great fries too if you want to eat in the restaurant. My big complaint is that I like to order ahead using the app. the app works great but here is what I do not understand. If you order burgers and fries online, they make your burger ahead of time, but wait until you arrive at the restaurant to make the fries. This ensures you can never get a fresh burger and fresh fries in the same order. They claim they want to make certain your fries are fresh, but what good are fresh fries if you have to eat them with a sopping wet burger that has been sweating under a heat lamp for 20 minutes?

After about a two year absence I decided to give this place another try. The Good...The burger was OK, nothing special. Same applies to the fries. The not so good...I had the smallest burger, the smallest order of fries and the smallest soda and the price was over 13.00. Seems very expensive for a place like this. The place was NOISY as order numbers are screamed out amist the too loud, raspy music that is played The cooks were very unprofessional as they yelled constantly at each other and engaged in horseplay. The fries were seriously enough for three or four people to share. They came in a large paper cup jammed to the top with an equal amount poured into the paper sack which made locating the hamburger difficult as I had to reach into a blistering hot mess of fries. For the money spent there are MUCH better choices at least in my book!

Food was good, service was great. One guy behind the counter was definitely in high spirits and greeted everybody. Cashier was nice and told us not to worry about it when we came up a little short. Will be back again when we're in town. :)
