We found this place by a chance. What a great find for dog lovers. They have a lovely patio space where you can have beer with your dog.....Ah, water for a dog, I mean. As a matter of the fact, a friendly server at this joint brings some water for your dog. How nice is that? We had some hamburger and fries with beer. It was beautiful. Nothing tastes better than burgers and beer under the sun! I mean, the burgers were not like a gourmet burger or anything, but it's tasty. You can substitute your regular fries with sweet potato fries (delish!) or onion rings for $1.25. Dog friendly patio with nice servers, decent hamburger and cold beer, I can't ask more!

We discovered Hamburger Harry's by accident after getting lost. What a great find! Quick and friendly service, delicious food, great serving sizes and reasonable pricing. We will definitely be back. We were seated immediately and chose to head for the bar. The waitress was super nice and very attentive. Beer's came quickly as did the food. The cheese curds were delicious, however slightly pricey considering they're tiny deep fried cheese balls - but that's really my only complaint. I had the Chicken Ranch Wrap which was flippin huge and super tasty. My better half had the Sicilian burger and fries and his cousin had the ...whiskey chicken wrap? Something like that - either way, he liked it a lot. The Sicilian was pretty darn juicy and tastey as well. Definitely will be back and definitely recommend.

Just went to Hamburger Harry's a couple weeks ago so my girls could play in the sandbox. The patio wasn't really open since it was pretty cold outside and getting dark but I was so impressed with their accommodations for us. The owner was happy to take our order inside and then they brought the food out to us even though it was not convenient at all (it was trivia night inside which means that they are very busy and have a lot of people). My girls loved the food and I tried their chicken strips which were very good. Much better than my previous experience.

I stopped in here because I got a coupon for free appetizer at Jiffy Lube. For whatever reason that didn't seem like a great endorsement for the company (they should check out Groupon I think) -- so the thing stayed on my fridge for about a year. I finally headed down there with the gf a few nights ago for a late dinner, got there just after 8. Place closes down at 9, so we were the last people served before closing. First impression walking in was that they were getting ready to close. We were given the option of sitting down below or up by the bar, but it was pretty obvious they were trying to get the dining room cleaned so they could go home, so we walked up to the bar and sat down. I'm not much for bars (anymore), so wasn't really sure what to expect at this point. Was this going to be mediocre bar food? The clientele really didn't offer much in the way of a hint. It looked like a slightly upscale bar crowd, if a little older than usual. I'm guessing from other reviews it has a much different atmosphere during the day. Looking at the menu we decided on chicken strips for our free appetizer. I hoped they wouldn't cook them to death. Looking at the burgers -- and most of the menu is burgers -- a lot of it looked like stuff I wasn't going to eat. The teriyaki burger was tempting but I'm allergic to raw pineapple so didn't want to risk it. Ended up ordering just a standard hamburger, and was wondering if I'd regret it. When you're paying 10 bucks for a burger, it should be memorable. Anyway, the chicken strips are brought out first, and look much better than I expected. And taste much better. In fact these are probably the best chicken strips I've had since moving here from New York 15+ years ago. I'm amazed. They are also basically a meal in themselves, and by the time the gf and I are done plowing through them, we joke that we're not hungry anymore. Then the burgers come out. They are huge, and served with French fries. The fries are outstanding. I eat about half of them before even trying the burger, which I'm somehow still concerned is going to disappoint me. The burger is juicy and they have some kind of sauce they put on it that is absolutely perfect. I manage to eat my entire burger, nearly all the fries, and I swear we were eating for about a half hour straight. I can't remember the last time I ate that much food at one sitting, and all of it was excellent. If I had to compare this place to another restaurant, it would probably be Red Robin. It's smaller, to be sure, and has more of a local, family-owned feel, but that's not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. Hamburger Harry's is a great addition to Edmonds and I'm sorry I waited so long to come in. We will be back! [Update: I've been in here twice since and it's failed to impress me quite as much either time, although the food is still pretty good. Maybe the trick is to come in right before closing? I'm not really sure.]

This place is a WIN. Came to Hamburger Harry's with 4 other friends for happy hour. All 5 of us got drinks (4 beers and one raspberry vodka lemonade) and walked out with a bill under $20. Came back again the next week for food and ordered the cheeseburger and candied fries. The cheeseburger was great! The candied fries were good, but have been great with a dipping sauce to compliment them.

Fried Pickles were surprisingly good-1 order for 2 people. We sat outside at a nice table w/ umbrella. Staff was really friendly-our waiter was friendly and always kept our waters full and checked in to make sure all was well. I ordered the Spicy Bleu Cheese Burger & it RAWKED! Big thick bacon, chunks of deli Bleu cheese-yum yum. My husband ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger & it was amazing as well-mile high burgers-feed you x 2!! His had guacamole, cream chz-he loved it. We'll be back! Hamburger Harry's is a must try!

I love the burgers here! My favorite is the blue cheese burger or the bacon cheese burger. This is a great place for happy hour deals or to go for the sports bar/tvs! Fun place to go with a group or celebration!

Great place to take the family for burgers, they have the best onion rings..super slim sized and fried to perfection. The prices are reasonable and the staff is awesome! Been here many times and service is quick and friendly. Will definately be back here.

We ate late lunch/early supper @ Hamburger Harry's and it was FANTASTIC, My husband had the 3pc (Fresh) cod panko battered, made from scratch onion rings and slaw. I had their onion burger with sauteed and carmelized onions and stoneground mustard with cheddar cheese. The best PEPSI and MT DEW ever and hold on to your hats -- PEANUT BUTTER MILKSHAKE. The service was just a great as the food. We told our server==We'll Be Back== and we will!

Hamburger Harry's II was a nice surprise! The atmosphere is perfect for us since we have a 9 month old and the staff was uber friendly. Now to the food! Ha ha! Well all I can say is this was the best chicken sandwich I have had as long as I can remember and the fries are done the right way the Double-Fried French Fry Way. My wife had the fish sandwich which was huge with two I repeat two fillets of battered fish and it was redonkulously tasty as well. So all and all I give the place five stars. Also I used to work the kitchen at KIng's in Ballard when they first open and had one of the top voted burgers in town, so I know my Bugers and fires.

Great little place in the Edmonds bowl. We ate in the bar on a Sunday at lunchtime, where they have multiple flat screens, so you can watch the mariners game regardless of where you sit. They don't have a huge selection of micro brews on tap, but they have manny's and diamond knot! We ordered the bacon burger and the fish and chips. Our food arrived quick and our orders were correct :) The fish was cod and was very fresh, but it had a bit too much batter for my taste. The fries were awesome and they don't skimp on them! Overall: fast, friendly service, nice bar, nice outdoor seating area, clean restaurant, I'll go back!

Great bacon burger, unlimited Dick's style fries for about $11 bucks. Not too bad at all. Cocktails were way too expensive and weak, so if you like to drink and like your drinks with a kick then this isnt the place. (10 dollars for a double 7 and 7 is ridiculous especially when you cant taste the booze). There is a sandbox outside that I think attracts the neighborhood feline population because I could smell cat urine or spray when I walked up to the entrance. That is not too kosher, especially if you are eating outside next to it. I am giving 3 stars though because the burger was so good and we ate inside. BTW, my mother had the fish and chips, and the fish was overcooked and kind of dry. Good tartar though.

I'm an actress. When I do a show in Edmonds for Driftwood Theater, I find that during the rehearsal process I need to find quick food to grab before rehearsal. Usually I just settle on fast food or even a Starbucks protein snack, but those are never hearty enough. A few months ago a friend suggested I try Hamburger Harry's. I was craving some thick and hearty "mom's cooking" food for my soul. The dining room was sparse - never a good sign. After a quick view of the very readable menu I saw it... Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and carrots. I was skeptical, but ordered it anyway. To accompany the comfort meal I ordered a PB & Strawberry shake. The shake was delectable, and the perfect consistency. The ingredients perfectly blended. A lot of times there is too much PB, but it was perfect. This happened to be before a show, and I didn't have time to eat much of the food. Even warm and eventually cold, the pot roast was perfect. I vowed to return. Unfortunately through circumstances I wasn't able to return until just this past week. I met up with a fellow actor and we decided on Hamburger Harry's. I ordered the prawns from the app menu, and some sweet potato fries. After my rave on the pot roast, my dining companion ordered it. For a drink I chose the Arnold Palmer. The Arnold Palmer was more tea than lemonade, but it was still good. The prawns came, and they were gorgeously presented on the plate. They were really small, so I figured them to actually be shrimp instead. I ate the first one, and was instantly disappointed. While yes, there was a lot of flavor to them, I found the flavor to be overpowering. I had my friend try one, and they agreed. Then, because I almost always try things twice (just to see if it grows on me) I had one more, but still it wasn't fitting to my taste buds. I know just from the flavors that others would definitely like it, though. The waiter insisted that I ordered something else - which is a first for me. Big kudos to Jakobey! I settled on the chicken fingers 'cause I already had the sweet potato fries (which were absolutely perfect). I was given a taste of the pot roast, and it melted in my mouth. Such a wonderful dish! The replacement chicken fingers were very good. Going back? Yes indeed. In fact, I just may go there tomorrow night! Maybe I'll try the meatloaf next....

Took the granny here yesterday for a late lunch. We immediately were put off by the gi-normous televisions, but it's a sports bar so that's to be expected. That just isn't my scene, since I don't understand or feel the need to watch sports and I think it's tacky to ignore your lunch partner in favor of a big screen television playing celebrity poker. But that's just my opinion. The food was delicious. My grandma ordered the quesadilla with chicken. It was a lovely presentation with avocado sliced on top, and served WITH sour cream and salsa (no extra charge). I got a veggie burger to replace the meat patty in the Greek Burger and lemme tell you-- heaven. Juicy garden burger with tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and feta cheese and for 1 dollar extra, lovely sweet potato fries. I really wanted a peanut butter shake but didn't. I wish I had because I can't stop thinking about wanting one. The waitress was attentive, nice, and brought a box before we had to ask. Other staff seemed attentive. There were several big groups with young children but the acoustics of the place were awesome and it seemed rather quiet for that. I'd go back. Next time, spicy bleu cheese garden burger : ) AND PEANUT BUTTER SHAKE

I read the positive reviews and saw people lined up out the door and decided to give it a try. As soon as my wife and I bit into our burgers we exchanged the "This is it?" look. The burgers are about Wendy's quality and way over priced. The fries are above average, so maybe people who eat here really like fries. We avoided all the high fat sauces so maybe they add something. I can get much better burges at Cajun Bayou, Red Line, Leen'a, Time Out and at home.

Delish burgers, friendly staff. A little spendy for a burger, but it was yummy!! I think the interrior and decor could use some sprucing up, the patio will be nice in the summer though!!! I'd go again, best burgers in the Edmonds/lynn area for sure!

  • Clark D.

I recently have been avoiding Harry's. It's good, but $30 for 2 burgers is just ridiculous. We've discovered Red Line Burgers in Lynnwood. Literally half the price and the burgers are just as good or better.

Great value, great food and even better staff. If you want a great food at a reasonable price this is your place in Edmonds. The burgers are hand crafted and delicious, the fries are homemade - not the typical run of the mill frozen out of a box type you get at so many other place - and you an tell in their excellent flavor. Best of all the staff are welcoming and swift. A can't miss meal for a family, or even as a start for a night out with the guys.

Finally! A local non pretentious restaurant with good food at good prices. Great happy hour. All you can eat fries. Great burgers. Local owners. Fried pickles. Outside seating. My only issue is their limited beer selection.

Dinner here the other night. Service was excellent. Actually they had a lot of staff on hand and not too many diners, so they were especially on it. Crayons for the kids, yummy milkshakes and good selection of beer for the husband. Burgers- huge and very messy but good. If you're craving a big burger, with good flavor, not too greasy with lots of choices for toppings, this place is for you. I had the Teriyaki Burger which was good but not the best ever. I ordered it mainly to compare it to Red Robin's. Red Robin's is better. A bit more flavor, love that grilled pineapple ring, both equally messy. My husband had the Onion Burger which he ate with a fork. Actually b/c these burgers are so messy with the toppings, sauce and shredded lettuce it's easier just to give up and go with the cutlery. I saw several people in the dining room do just that. I think if you go in expecting to eat your burger with a fork, you're bound to have a better experience. They must have read reviews because my bun was toasted. Fries were crispy and quite yummy. I had onion rings. These are thinly sliced, breaded and then fried. They were good but not what I was expecting due to their thinness. Not bad, just different. I'd order them again though. My daughter LOVED the onion rings. She had mac-n-cheese. Pretty typical, very cheesy and basic, comes with fries. My son had Chicken Tenders which "had no pizzazz!" and were "awful". (His words.) That would be my only complaint about this place-- they need to find more flavorful chicken tenders! These were pretty dry, flavorless and overly fried. Tasted a bit like crunchy cardboard. I didn't make him eat them b/c they sucked. Luckily kid portions are huge so they shared the mac-n-cheese and filled up on fries. Still, we'll go back. The menu is pretty diverse. Lots of burger and chicken burger choices and then a few comfort food choices like meatloaf and mashed potatoes, so Grandpa Fred has a few favorites to choose from too. (Smart considering the location.) I hope it makes it b/ c we could really use a few more dinner options in Edmonds. I'm giving 4 stars b/c overall it was great, but they still have a few kinks to work out.

We stopped in on a stormy Saturday afternoon and we were greeted by a young man who is totally out of sunscreen. The interior is peppered with TV screens showing various sporting events and people ignoring the one they were with to stare at one of them. In our case we had people staring past us to watch the screen above us and then the station for the cute young waitresses (lots of them) to touch in their orders right next to my husbands back made for way too much attention. OK, food-yes, we had some. I had the Beef Dip sandwich was a bit soggy even before dipping. The salt that Heinz just removed from their ketchup was in my sandwich. A generous portion, I took half a sandwich home and the fries and was sad to see the dreaded Styrofoam take out container. My husband had a Salmon Burger & he joined the clean plate club giving it an A. Outdoor seating on a sunny day and a spot for the kiddies were noted.

It was my birthday and we were determined to go somewhere new. Excellent fries and service. OK burgers, (although everyone needed a trip to the bathroom after to wash!) but the prices are a little high. We had three burgers, a wrap, one side of onion rings and four sodas and it was over $70. I would much rather have gone to Red Robin or Red Mill. We likely won't go back.

I decided to go to Hamburger Harry's because I was missing my old town's fried pickles. So I had expectations of how fried pickles should be. These were a letdown. The pickles were too thin, lacked crunch; the batter was minimal, and the sauces were strange to me. They had a honey mustard (which was okay but not what I wanted) and something quite spicy that I didn't think went with dill pickles at all. Second letdown: the onion rings. The thinness in this case worked fine; it was the batter that I didn't like. Rather than a sweet light batter, it was almost chalky or pasty in texture (though crunchy), if that makes any sense. It was very weird; I've never had onion rings like that. They were more like the fried onions you get from a can than conventional onion rings. My son ordered a strawberry shake. I wasn't impressed. The waitress told us that they were out of actual strawberries, so it was just flavored with strawberry syrup. But I still expected better, since hand-dipped ought to mean good ice cream...right? It didn't taste like it. Maybe the syrup was the problem. The bacon guacamole burger, which I got with a turkey patty, was my meal's redeeming feature (though you should ask for your bacon crispy if that's what you like, because this bacon was NOT even close). It was messy but good. My husband liked his mushroom (beef) burger and fries. It was also nice that the menu featured a few non-burger items (my son had french toast). Service was fine. Restaurant appearance was fine (though I agree with other reviewer about all the TVs). Cost was a little painful ($50 for two burgers, one kid's meal, one shake, and one order of fried pickles, plus tip). This is a place I would probably visit once in a while if I lived nearby but isn't really worth another 20 minute drive.

Supper supper good. It's a pleasant expense every time my family and i go in there. The waiters are nice and helpfully, the food is why we keep going back, its literally the best. Everything on the menu is fantastic, i don't think you could order something bad... Overall just a really nice, very good tasting restaurant. And clean. They even have a full bar. I always order the chipotle wrap, and it never lets me down. And the milk shakes are the best in town, I only wish they gave you more, or at least bigger servings. Definitely give this place a try, very good, casual, relaxing, restaurant.

I thought that the food was extremely bland. Garlic fries were good. They need to get back in the kitchen and get there seasoning down.

Update to my 1st review- took some friends from Germany to have their very 1st gourmet burger. They loved it. The staff was so welcoming and excited to have visitors from that far they brought out a complimentary huge dessert. They were as were we very appreciative. We love being within walking distance to this great place. Thanks HH!!!!

We go here at least once a month with our two small boys and the staff are consistently patient and sweet with us... especially Jacobi! The food (stick with the burgers) is similar to Red Robin-- but even faster! Awesome peanut butter milkshakes and buffalo wings too!

For a place that I had once thought of as a five star burger place, that I recommended to a bunch of my friends I now have to give one star. About 3 weekends ago now, I stopped in for dinner a little after 6pm on a Sunday, I was seated, the waitress then told me that there was a big party was coming in, and that she wasn't sure which tables were taken. I thought to myself it couldn't be any bigger than 12, 15 tops. After I'd ordered my drink the manager came over and apologized to me, and said I would have to be moved, that a party of around 70 people were coming in, and the lower part of the restaurant was going to be taken. I was told I could move up to the bar area. And of course I had to move myself and carry my drink over, and find my table. The night didn't get any better, the fries were over cooked and pretty much flavorless it tasted like that had just changed out the grease, the burger was a bit cold, and they were out of sweet and low. At the end I had to wait 37 minutes to pay, I timed it with my phone, had I not been in so many times I would have just gone out the side door after I'd waited 20 minutes. Also as the lower part of the restaurant and the other customers who'd been there before I'd even gotten there, were being pushed out, one of the employees said to an elderly woman that he was sorry if she felt forced out. Just as she started to voice her frustration, he looked away and waited on the football party. Friends asked me why I decided to stay after they told me I'd have to be moved. I told them the fries were usually really good. Now I will never return to a place that cares more about a large party one time, than a return customer. I'd eaten there pretty much once every week for the past couple of months alone, not counting the countless but more sporadic times I'd been in since discovering the place the summer before last. And you could tell most of the party hadn't been there before they were all amazed by the TV's Also A couple months ago, I'd stopped by on a Friday night to walk in on the middle of a large banquet, with no signs or anything out saying that they were closed

Love this place! Seems like it always happy hour here. Mon - Thurs until 7, and 7 - close on the weekends. A true hidden gem. Don't know where else you can get $3.50 you name it drinks during happy hour.

Been here 5 times over the course of 2 years and I've always had a filling and good quality burger/meal. My biggest beef (no pun intended) is the pricing which is far too high for what you get. Yes, it is a sit down place, but it's not upscale in anyway and the portions (outside of the bottomless fries) are pretty average. Shakes are especially over priced at $4.75. All in all reasonable quality but not worth the money. Better off at a Red Mill or Five Guys.

I've eaten at Hamburger Harrys with my husband, sister, and friends etc.. The service and the food have always been wonderful. My personal favorite is the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger, sounds gross but it is amazing. I don't mind paying a few extra dollars for a good burger. I recommend this place if you haven't stopped by!!

  • Hola A.

So glad that I found a good local burger spot that is not your typical chain (i.e. Red Robin's). I was feeling adventurous and saw they had peanut butter bacon burger and thought why not? It was surprisingly good. I would get it again. My sister had the BBQ bacon burger and I had a bite of it. It def had a kick to it while my niece got french toast off the kids menu. Our server was attentive and the prices was not bad. I do like how they subbed our regular fries w/garlic fries at no cost so that was a plus. Only con I can think of is the way the flat screens were positioned. They were angled/positioned in a way where you had to crane your neck uncomfortably to watch.

My wife and I really like Hamburger Harry's. We probably eat there with our toddler once every two weeks. The food is straight forward burgers and fries. They have a full bar available and it is an a great location. The main reason we go to Hamburger Harry's is because they are so kid friendly. It is also one of the few places where they always have a clean high chair with seat belt straps in full working order. The kids menu doesn't overdo itself and they have french toast available all day . A solid no-frills family eatery right in downtown Edmonds.

To charge $11 for a burger, it had better be delicious. Unfortunately, Hamburger Harry's does not live up to this standard. To be fair, the burger - a peanut butter bacon burger, one of my favorites - was not unpleasant or unpalatable. It was just, "meh," and there was nothing special about it. I went with a large group and we sampled around, and the results were the same... simply, meh. The fries were decent, a little limp and soggy, but still tasty. They were bottomless, which adds to the appeal, but you'll be full up after the burger and first round of fries. They have dipping sauces - tartar, BBQ, honey mustard - free of charge, which is also nice. The appetizer menu is fairly large, but don't be fooled. Their version of "cheese curds" is "fried mozzarella," and the avocado in the quesadilla was crunchy... yuck! That being said, the fried pickles were tasty, especially with their special dipping sauce. They put garlic aioli on *everything*, and this is not necessarily a good thing. Specify if you don't want this on your burger, or you won't be tasting anything BUT garlic for the rest of your meal. TL;DR the burger wasn't bad, but it wasn't special. I've had better at Red Robin, and I would much rather spend my money at Dick's. If you have plenty of extra money and want a different-sounding burger, you might want to consider trying this place, but I doubt you'll be back too often.

Solidly good fare, tasty fries. While here on a cold day, the outside seating looked inviting and despite the cold we took our toddler to the sandbox to play while we waited for the food to arrive. And anyone with kids can appreciate keeping them entertained! They also had a kids menu with a lot of options.

Just what Edmonds needed, a fun and yummy burger joint. If only it had a water view because that's one of my favorite things about Edmonds. It's sort of in a random spot right before you get into downtown so try not to drive passed it. Service was friendly and quick. I had the blue cheese burger, which i tend not to go towards because i like my classic cheese burger but i am SO glad i stepped out of the box this one time because it was amazing!!! I liked how proportionate everything was - from the bun, lettuce and toppings to the patty, it wasn't 2 lbs of meat with a slice of lettuce and oozing condiments. It truly looked like it would if it had a picture of it on the menu. Presentation can change a meal instantly. It's been a while since i've been and now that i think about it, it's time to go back!! who needs a diet anyway?! Plus, it might be a fun place to catch a game at while enjoying a juicy burger and brewksie because they had a lot of flat screen TV's everywhere!!

Burger was excellent, watch out for the habenero cheese :). Cooked perfectly, onion rings are sliced thin and are crispy and delicious. Milkshake was very thick and creamy, took several pulls to get it through the straw. Very accomodating for substitutions and the staff is very nice. Would have given it a fifth star but it is a bit spendy for a couple of burgers and a couple shakes. over $40 with tip.

If you're looking for a great spot to sit outside on a warm summer evening where your dog is welcome too, then this is the spot! Great menu selection, great service, great atmosphere. Been there twice and tried something different each time! Super tasty! They make their own french fries too! You will not go home hungry, that's for sure.

The burgers are just OK, but the service is good they are very kid friendly. It's nice going to a place that seems to really like kids, and there is a sand box out in the front!

Yummy burgers and friendly attentive waitstaff. Substitute the garlic fries for the plain! Jalapeno popper burger is a close second to the Gyro burger. The child's menu is wonderful and they even have a large sandbox for the kids to play in on warm days. They have traditional dinners as well, but the burgers beckon!

With one son on a camping trip and the other home sick and not up to eating there was no point in cooking. I nudged the wife toward Hamburger Harry's since we haven't yet been there and it's in downtown Edmonds just five or ten minutes from home. We were cheerily greeted and seated by our server Sarah, a pretty blonde perky nice. A big menu of burgers and American classics made it hard to narrow the choices. I went with an avocado bacon burger and the wife went with the habanero burger. Excellent burgers though my wife didn't care of the plain white bread buns. Excellent fries and came with tarter sauce, quintessential western Washington. I ordered up a Mac N Jack wishing they had a stout or porter for this cool drizzly evening. The service from Sarah was attentive yet unobtrusive. Big screen TVs visible from everywhere make this a potential sports event hang out. I liked this place. It sure beats driving all the way to Red Robin at Alderwood Mall. If they had fish and chips on the menu, I'd really be hooked.

Service was ok; a little slow. There were a couple of screw-ups (brought out a wrong entree, and I got onion rings instead of the sweet potato fries I ordered). That said, the food was fine (those onion rings were pretty tasty). Big portions, and the bacon was smoky-good. Might go back.

This place is great. Try the Chicken Ranch Wrap it's good or try the peanut butter burger I hear that's good also.

I have been here twice, both times when I wanted to go out for food but my three yr old had not napped. Why am I saying this? 'Cuz on the patio is a giant sand box-- prefect to entertain the little man while mom/dad have a beer. I have yet to have a real burger (at bit leery of ground beef since watching Food Inc) but the garden burger was just fine (and she didn't even look at me funny when I asked her to add bacon). I really liked the "onion rings" which are actually more like the Awesome Blossom from Chili's. I am a bit of a fry snob and like them a bit more crunchy then these guys make 'em. I have to say that I agree with previous reviews that they could grill their buns as I am all for that.

We popped in early Friday evening and the place had customers lined up. Luckily it was just two of us so we were able to quickly secure a spot at the bar. A seat view a peek a boo view of the Sound, not bad at all. Despite the huge crowd the service was very quick, friendly, and our drinks burgers were brought to us in less than 15 minutes. Each of our burgers were tasty, properly cooked to order (med rare for my partner, he likes red meat) and there was no lack of flavor. Toppings were generous, buns were up to the challenge, and I really appreciate that the waiter knew to bring extra napkins without asking, since the burgers were loaded and dripping. Fries were decent, reasonably crisp. My partner had the onion rings and they were just how I like them. Thin cut, crispy and not greasy. I really dislike those thick, heavy, batter laden rings other places serve so it is nice to see a light crispy ring available. We both had milkshakes and they were fantastic. Thick, creamy and rich, just what you'd expect from a burger joint. Our bill came to nearly $40, which, for a casual dinner for two, isn't much of a value for my budget conscious family, but we'll be back again when we're hankering for a above average burger and have some extra coin in our pocket.

If you are craving for burgers and some drinks in edmonds area, this might be the place to go. They have a nice bar and bunch of TV everywhere. We actually went there just for the burgers not for the drinks. Burger itself was good but the canned mushroom that i got on the burger was not very exciting. Fries on the other hand was decent. Prices were little expensive but i believe its because its full service bar / restaurant. In the future if i just want the burger i doubt i ll go there but if i am in a mood of alcohol and burger then i might visit them in the future.

This is probably unfair because I am reviewing for my husband who is not a gourmet but a gourmand. That said,he eats everything on his plate good or not so great. He said he thought the burger was great and that he was offered sweet potato fries and paid extra for endless fries. He had a milk shake. He said it was all good to pretty good, but what threw me was the bill. For a burger, fries and shake and a tip was $18 for one. We're not in New York City or San Francisco. This is li'l ol' Edmonds. The other problem is the parking. There is none. Try and find a spot on the street on a busy night. Good luck. And don't even think about parking in Petosa's Grocery store across the street. For sure you'll be towed.

I went there for the sweet potato fries and had the Blue Cheese Burger as well. The sweet potato fries had little flavor and the burger was neither juicy nor tasty. The blue cheese (menu said it was a Danish variety) was awfully strong - maybe just not my taste - fine - but overall, nothing spectacular about the food here. The wait staff was attentive and nice, the restaurant clean and had a nice ambiance so I give them stars for that.

We live in Edmonds and this place is kid friendly. We've been in several times. We typically get the chicken strips and fries; our daughter loves them, as they are hand made and are done well. Recently we went in and ordered the fish and chips. Several of us are vegetarians and they don't have much in the way of options, but exceptions can be made. I asked prior to ordering the fish and chips how they were made because I'm very picky about fish and chips, especially since I rarely eat meat or fish of any kind. Ideally I like English style beer battered lightly coated thick cuts of fish. I was told they were very light (not greasy) and large pieces of fresh hand cut cod. What we got were half inch thick square pieces of supposedly cod that was mostly batter that was very darkly fried and yet still gooey. The fish was yellow and not reminiscent of a true cod. It looked more like a typical white flaked fish like snapper. We took one piece off the platter of three and each tried a bite to see what we thought. No one liked it. When I questioned the manager I was told that it is cod. That its a good product and just because they took it back and we didn't like it doesn't mean there was anything wrong with it and we should still pay for it. He actually lied to our faces stating that we'd eaten half of the plate and then sent it back. I corrected him and he relented on it, however we found his aggressive attitude disheartening and will not be going back. Just to note, he deducted one $3 beer from our tab for the $11 fish and chips. He could have handled that a lot better.

Amazing selection of burgers (around 20) however many end up being very similar with only one or two different ingredients.

I tried the Hamburger Harry's in Ballard first and ordered the blue cheese burger and onion rings. I was with my wife and 20 some daughters. The place smelled like spilled beer and the blue cheese burger was like Niagara falls of milky bad tasting cheese running down my chin. On top of that the table felt like they had been wiped down with bacon grease. Daughters liked it though. I was skeptical to try the Edmonds Harry's but went because my wife wanted a hamburger. I ordered the cheese burger and fries for about 11.00 I was kind of amazed at the high prices for what you got. It was much better than Ballard...service ok..about 25 minutes to get food. My fries were like the greasy soggy Dick's type and were stubby and a small portion. I do not get why people like this place...it is just not worth the money and the atmosphere does not make up for an average burger. My strange friend ordered a fried chicken Breast, mashed potatoes and gravy that came with cooked carrots...and he liked it. So I don't know maybe it is just me...10 to 13 dollars for an average hamburger and soggy fries...not for me..saving grace ...the waitress was nice and attentive and did offer a french fry refill.

Was meeting a friend for lunch, and we found this spot in Edmonds. The service was slow, so was the business in general. I have the mushroom burger with fries and my friend had the cheeseburger. The hamburger was not the greatest thing in the world, it was very salty, soggy, and had a salad bar under the bun. Other then being ignored a lot by our waiter the view from the winder was great.

Solid burger offerings. A touch on the pricy side for what you get, but not out of whack. Good strong drinks with the full bar. All you can eat fries, with the skins still on the potatoes, options include sweet potato fries which gets bonus points.

I've now been there three times and all three times had the Deluxe Ciabatta Burger. It's so good that I can't imagine ever going there and ordering anything else but have been told by others who went with me that their food was equally as good. And the service I received, especially the time when I was there with my arm in a sling, was really excellent.

Stopped in for a bite on a Tuesday around 730.. Fast friendly service they were close to closing but bar area was busy. Ordered the BBQ chicken Chipotle burger with garlic fries and my mother ordered a normal hamburger and salad. Food came out fast and was tasty. Chicken sandwich really yummy and the garlic fries good. My mom was happy as well. Our server was super nice and attentive as well. It's pretty pricey but the quality measures up and a lot of fries, could easily have shared. Staff seemed rush to close ups turning off open signs at 8pm but this is Edmonds and not Seattle ..didn't effect our experience just thought it was odd they close so early with a full bar but it's all good.. They close at 830pm every night btw

Shared a burger and an appetizer with my husband. The burger was ok but strangle sweet and not really enjoyable. The onion rings we ordered as an appetizer we ok but nothing impressive. We also had two beers - our bill was over $50 after tip and tax - a little pricy for mediocre food. We are new to the area but I think we ended up in a touristy part of town which might explain the unreasonable prices.

The low rating is no reflection on the waitstaff who helped us at HH II. We were greeted and helped by one woman and then here must have been a shift change, in which a younger women began helping us. Both were very friendly and warm. Based on the service (and some of the food), Hamburger Harry's II would be at a solid 3 stars. However, the man walking around the restaurant (manager? owner?) just watching customers at their tables was SO uncomfortable. Who wants to be watched while they're eating/trying to enjoy a meal? Both my boyfriend and I, who arrived to meet another party, were extremely put off by his loitering with no real purpose. Before arriving, I was looking forward to a milkshake. When I order, I'm informed that they can't make any because their machine is broken -- and has been for 3 1/2 weeks. 3 1/2 weeks?? You'd think a burger joint would make that more of a priority (instead of walking around staring at people). I got over it though, and ordered my food. What was good: the fries, and the onion rings. The onion rings were super salty, but I still found them deliciously bad. What wasn't so good: the burgers. My nephew the chicken strip addict, didn't care for his chicken strips but agreed that the fries were good. When the machine is up and running, I might come back to try a shake and fries. I'll just hope that there's not someone walking around and staring at me while I do it.

Great local spot! Very unassuming, not at all fancy (but a GOOD not fancy, still clean and very approachable, not too divey). Very tasty burgers and sandwiches with lots of choices. The front has outdoor seating with a sandpit for the kids, and inside has a full bar with TVs. Great for just chilling and watching the game. Super nice wait staff that will joke and laugh with (and at!) you.

A bit pricey. $14.95 for a hamburger and unlimited fries. Kids meals were $8.99 (included beverage). Pops and Iced Teas were $3.95. At Hamburger Harry's they make their own salsa, etc. Everything was quite tasty. The restaurant is cozy albeit reminiscent of the 80's - not very modern.

So, thought I'd give it one more try since the wife and daughter seem to like this place. But it turns out to be the same shit show as before. Me and my honey stop by around 7ish for a quick bite. The only thing she orders is the chicken caesar wrap with fries. I on the other hand have been waiting and waiting to maybe see something new on their menu for once but to no avail! So I order the fish and chips. But as I'm ordering I see their flyer that says Happy Hour appetizers 6.99 so I throw on some chicken wings because even though they are the size of game hen wings they are pretty tasty. Wife's meal is just fine, but my fish looks grey inside. It tastes alright but looks like it has been in the freezer way too long. (I'm positive that they just buy this from a vendor and it is not inhouse breaded). So another less than satisfied meal at HH2 and we ask for the bill. I look at the price of chicken wings and they are 10.99??? WTH? They are barely worth 6.99. I ask the waitress what's up with this and she says you have to order them in the bar and then you only get 4ea. I'm pissed, that's not what the flyer says and owner is no where to be found, I pay the fricken bill, never to return! I'm done with their paper thin meatloaf, their sorry excuse for breakfast, those stupid frozen carrots they serve with their meals, and just being disappointed in general every time I eat there. Good luck Harry!

4th of july, city is pretty much dead between the parade and the fireworks. We decide that, after smelling all the grilling, that we wanted burgers. So we walked here and took advantage of the air conditioning and the comfy seats. Server was nice, didn't mind waiting for our 5th wheel. Actually asked my permission to serve my kids soda, which never happens. We are big fans of coloring menus, as are our kids. Kid meals seem like a pretty big hit. My son got the hot dog and fries and was full. The have a sand pit outside to entertain the little ones also, which is a pretty neat feature if you ask this mom. Food is pretty good overall. We all got burgers and they were delicious. I had the bacon guacamole burger, the meat was not too dry and the toppings fresh. Kind of a messy burger though, be warned. I ordered the garlic fries with it, and I was disappointed. There wasn't much garlic on them compared to typical garlic fries, although no one else at the table complained so perhaps it was just my order. Did I mention there is a full bar? Well, no one was drinking yet so I passed but that always makes for a good place. Overall, I've been pleased every time I come in. Good food, great service and little things that make bringing kids here an enjoyable experience.

Despite the good food and generous portions, we were disappointed this trip. The prices seem to creep up each time I come, but the real bust was the service. They had two, maybe three, servers working the entire place, including the patio. This, on "trivia night" and during Mariner's game, assured "too little service" and too many customers. Our food took almost an hour and we never got a glance from our "Harried" server who had too many tables to tend. Very sad, as this used to be a family fav.

My wife and I went last night with our nearly 2-year-old in tow. We were welcomed with big smiles and the service was great throughout the visit. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich ($13) and my wife ordered a bacon cheese burger ($14 +$1.50 extra because she swapped the cheddar it came with for monterey jack). Both sandwiches came with delicious hand-cut fries. I also ordered a root beer (3.75). We would have ordered off the kids menu but the price was $8.50 across the board and they charge something like $2 or $3 extra if you want to swap the included soda for a juice or milk. You might be starting to get my point here. The food and service were great but the prices were out of control. There were 3 items on our receipt with the chicken sandwich, the burger and the root beer and the bill came to $36 with tax. Add tip in for the excellent service and we spent over $40 for 2 sandwiches and 1 drink. We would have loved to order our daughter something off the kids menu but that would have put us over $50 which I think is just silly. Sadly, we won't be going back. And that really does bum me out, because I enjoyed everything about the place but the prices.

Came here with my sister, bro in law, their kids and a couple friends of theirs and their kid. So we had a decent sized party. Came here after a day at the park and in need of some sustenance! The service was decent and friendly, albeit a bit slow. The burger choices were interesting, but execution was lacking. Also the burgers were kind of pricey. One positive? Bottomless fries. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon, greeted by welcoming staff. Clean and comfortable atmosphere, family friendly! My 5 year old daughter had the kids spaghetti which was delicious and worth the $8.50. I had the BBQ bacon burger, DELICIOUS, handmade patties and homemade bottomless fries. There is also plenty of outdoor seating on the patio and a good size sandbox for the kids on those nice sunny days. We will definitely come back!

I used to be a regular there. There had been an obvious negative change when I went there the last two times. I apologized to my daughter for taking her there after telling her how wonderful it was. The once wonderful onion rings tasted like plain flour with little onion flavor. The previously fantastic sweet potatoes were coated in something boering and not as flavorful. The hamburger was soggy and the meat was just as bland as the fast food burgers I used to go there to avoid. It used to be a treat to go there, now it's another place to avoid.

Another reviewer gave it 3 stars, I give it two for most of the same reasons. 2 burgers, 1 soda, and we were out $40+. Upon entering, the specials board was topped with "please wait to be seated" After a few minutes of waiting, someone finally came into the front of house and was surprised someone was standing there to be seated. Change the entry board if we are supposed to just grab a seat. We would have just sat down, but the first thing I read upon entering told me to wait.. This is a good time to note, after this, the service was pretty good, with friendly staff. TV content: the pro-bowl was happening, sure, nobody cares, but I watched an infomercial for penis enlargement pills on the television I was facing. Other channels showing were not even showing sports. Burgers were good, but portions just too large. No points deducted, but save some food costs and portion as people should eat. To the owners: don't feel like you need to throw meat at people. Make the policy, if you want another burger, we'll make you one. Garlic fries, good if you like garlic, but the fries were mostly a soggy greasy mess. Flavor was good though. Cost: The prices are too damn high! $15 is just too much. Plus $4 for a soda? I understand making drinks the money maker, but $4 for something that costs $0.07 is a stretch. For $2 more, I can dine at places that have tie service, bread and butter on the table.

I went in craving a decent, solid hamburger and sadly left just a little disappointed. I am sure I'll end up going back because I want to try something, well, a bit more normal. I went in hungry. Always a bad thing for my wallet and my cholesterol. But...without anything holding me back (like a conscience or good judgment) I got their "ultimate burger". This is probably a good example of something being too decadent for its own good or being a product that is overwhelmed by the sum of its parts. It was just too much. Nothing stood out because there were too many thing between the buns. An interesting idea, but it just came across as a huge conglomerate of meat. Not a bad thing usually, but it just started tasting like generic protein the more I ate. If I'd been smart, I would have gone for something more interesting, like one they have that has a mess of habaneros as part of it. So I am cautiously willing to try it again. The only thing kinda holding me back is that the french fries in my order were a bit inconsistent. I had a few that tasted fine and were well fried, but most of them were kinda underdone and flaccid. Not good. But as I say, I want to go back and give it another shot. Just hope it is a bit better.

Im generally a slim, healthy woman but if I were going to turn into the Fat Woman at the circus..... this is where I would do it. A W E S O M E. Was in town for 3 nights and ate here every night. First the guacamole burger which curled my toes with delight, and then the next two nights I got the spicey blue cheese burger with bacon. You need to take a shower after these burgers as the yummy oozes off them and all over you. My husband laughed when I recounted my meals as Im usually pretty blase when it comes to food. I left town before needing a cardiologist.

Holy garlic breath it's in my lungs! Seriously, those garlic fries are no joke. I'm still tasting it the next day. Pretty sure it's coming out of my pores. The fries are tasty but I don't see how the repercussions can possibly be worth the temporary indulgence. The prices seem a bit high for burgers and fries but the portions are gigantic. I don't think anyone could leave hungry. I had the buffalo chicken burger and the aforementioned garlic fries and I was so full. Garlic fries come at no extra cost with the burger (except your dignity). The chicken tasted good. Buffalo sauce was ok. I've had other buffalo sauces that I've preferred to this one. Service was nice. This definitely seems like a local watering hole. They have a good happy hour from Sun-Thurs 3-7pm with $3.50 drafts and select wines. The pinot tasted cheap but hey, it's $3.50. The glass was very big. Easily 1 1/2 glass equivalent. I think the prices are a bit high for what you're getting but if you're ok with spending $12-15 for a casual burger and fries you'll be satisfied.

Sat at the bar... service was excellent, burger was pretty good. Fries were a "meh" - too soft/soggy for my liking. Beer selection needs to be improved- couple of macros and 3 locals (Manny's, Diamond Knot, and I believe Mac & Jacks) was all they had. Decor needs a make-over as well.

My husband and I recently purchased a home in Edmonds, and I wanted to find a casual neighborhood hangout. Driving around the area, we came across Hamburger Harry's and it looked like it would fit the bill. We ended up paying $50 for 2 burgers, 2 salads an iced tea and a glass of water. The salad was mediocre at best (iceburg lettuce, black olives, chopped tomato and grated cheese), and our burgers were greasy with little flavor. The restaurant seemed run-down with stained carpet that needed to be vacuumed and old booths and chairs and our table was not clean. It looks like it might be better early in the day, as there is a great little sand box for kids to play in. It seems family friendly. The portions are very large. These things give it potential, but the food and prices are a big turn off to me.

It's a great joint with great staff. The waitress was funny, quirky, and friendly. Food came out hot and the burgers were delicious. I'm glad the patties are not frozen. The price for a burger was $15 a pop. The soda was $3.75. I'd rather go to Red Robins because they are both pretty similar, although I won't be spending $40 for two people at RR if I order similar burgers and drinks. But, the staff was amazing and I had a great time talking to the old lady waiting us!

I live nearby and thought this hamburger spot would be a kid friendly place to take the kids after school. When did kids meals cost $10? Sure, the kids meals are $8.50, but if you want a drink for the kiddos that is NOT soda (i.e milk) then it's an additional $1.50! My kids are 2 & 4 and so it seems a little pricey to spend $20 on kids meals that are unremarkable and greasy. Unimpressed and will not return. Also thought it was unprofessional that staff are in street clothes. The bussers were wearing yoga pants (?!), which there's a time and place for, but not at work!

The kid and I were hungry and we were drawn into this hamburger joint by the cute name and sign ("Hamburger Harry's". How cute is that?), the welcoming outdoor seating area (although we eventually opted to eat inside), and of course, the fact that we love burgers! We were NOT disappointed here!!! Our waitress, Lyndsay, was friendly and attentive. The menu is great, with a ton of burger options and a nice salad selection, too. Unfortunately they do not carry Coke beverages, but their lemonade was good (and Lyndsay kept refilling the glass without my asking, too. Bonus!). And the burgers! OMG, the kid and I ordered the bacon cheeseburgers, and they were each enormous. And the bacon was, hands down, the best bacon we've ever had, cooked to perfection: crispy, not greasy at all, great flavor. Wow, we could've had an order of fries, straight. And the hamburgers were cooked just right, with "Harry's secret sauce" (kinda like Thousand Island"). They were way better than Red Robin burgers (and we really like RR burgers). The kid had fries, which she said had a great seasoning on them. I opted for the sweet potato fries which were unreal good: again, not an iota of greasiness. Just crispy and naturally sweet and totally addictive. We were so full after our lunch here, we weren't even hungry for dinner later that night. Other notes: there is a sandbox outside, so kiddies can play. Inside, I saw that they have big cups of crayons and coloring sheets for kiddies, and they display the kids' artwork on the wall. This would be a great place to bring young kids! (I neglected to check if they had a "kids' meal" section in the menu, but I'm sure they do). All in all, this joint might well have the best burgers in town!

very bad price for the food. I ordered the jalepeño cheese stick for about 13$ and only got 8 small sticks. my girlfriend got a bbq chicken sandwich and the chicken was awful, its was hard to chew through and seemed undercooked. the bacon burger was okay but for 13$ there's a lot better things you can get for the money. not coming here again

Very overpriced for extremely mediocre food. With tip it cost 47.00 for my 2 kids and I to have lunch. That included 2 kids meals, one spinach salad a soda and tip. I give it 2 stars instead of one because there was a sand box for the kids to play in.

Happy hour menu is super light on options, and all mostly high fat... Drinks are OK, and patio is pretty toasty on a sunny day. Patio also faces 5th Avenue which is a busy street in Edmonds. OK for a quick lunch, but not a relaxing good happy hour for the girls to meet.

It was OK, little expensive, but a lot of food. I usually don't care to eat that much, nor do I care to pay that much. Got the gyro burger with gyro fries, burger a little dry, fries a little soggy but so much garlic, were tasty. GF had lipstick on her glass, she doesn't wear make up. She ordered spinach grilled chicken salad, chicken was dry but she got 200 leaves of spinach to make up for it. Waitress was great but I cant deal so well with a thirty dollar bill for two for lunch.

I've been here 3 times, and each time I've had a great meal. The atmosphere is borderline pub and casual - it is a burger place, after all. However, they do have more than just that. I have always had a burger - and they have been tasty everytime. My husband and brother-in-law absolutely love their brisket - and the latter is from Texas. This is a place I take a lot of out of town guests, as they are pretty much all across the board in terms of American fare, and the food is high quality. Also, the prices are decent. They have a pretty lively trivia night, but it does not make the customer service suffer. A word of warning, however - their garlic fries are UBER garlicy. They're yummy, but you will smell. :) High points: Brisket, meatloaf, Peanut Butter Bacon Burger, Veggie burger, fish and chips, garlic fries. Low points: Habanero burger (tasty but barely spicy at all), and the deep fried pickles (way too salty).

Hamburger Harry's is great -- the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and reasonably priced; it is pretty much everything you would want in a local pub-like burger place. I have never been disappointed there. I have been in several times and never disappointed. It is also very kid-friendly, but offers a bar with a good selection as well. The staff seem well-trained and have good, friendly attitudes. They pay attention, even when it is busy, and notice when your drink is low or if your fry supply needs to be replenished.

Wow... the sandwich's in this place are big, beautiful, AND tasty! At first my husband & I almost didn't stay because the prices seemed a little high; but with our tummys & our kids telling us we needed food we decided to stay. Best bottomless garlic fries ever, my beef dip was huge and perfect! This is my new favorite burger joint!

Yeah it was a pretty good burger, but it became instantly soggy. Also, the waitress was paying a little too much attention to my boyfriend, and at one point even started to walk away after taking his 2nd drink order, and didn't even ask me what I wanted. "Excuse me..." I said as she walked away. "Oh, did you want something, too?" Yeah, a little respect and another beer.

Perfect place for after a matinee movie if your not full up on popcorn. I really wasn't in the mood for a burger, they have other items and one thing that caught my eye was their version of the french dip. It was worth it!! Made with brisket that was smoked and tender and flavorful. Friend ordered a burger that looked absolutely delish. Will have to try the place again when in the mood for a burger. Don't expect to walk out spending less than $50 (includes tip). Staff - well kinda not there, didn't pay attention to us very well. Asked if beer and wine was the only alcohol served & she started talking about the beers (I don't drink beer, I wanted something harder :) and then she walked off. So I ordered tea and never got a refill on ice tea or asked how the food was and it really wasn't that busy. Had to ask for to go boxes a couple times & finally got the owner (I assume) to do it. Will try again and see how the burgers are.
