This was a pretty disappointing visit for me. My wife and I went on a Friday night to enjoy some sun and thought this would be a good choice. Here is a summary: -View is pretty; right on the pier so you can see the water/boats. The one thing bad about the view is that there is a little kids playground RIGHT next to the outdoor eating area. Twice we had kids just running around with sand in their hands in the restaurant area. It's fine if you're a bit away but not when you're so close. -Service is pretty good. Our waitress was friendly and fast. We didn't have to wait at all for our refills/food. She was also serving the table next to me and a lady next to me ordered a meal and "didn't realize it has mussels.". She looked as if the waitress made a mistake (hate people like that) so the waitress brought the menu and showed her the order.....and yes....it had mussels. Totally the lady's fault but they still took the dish back and cooked a new one. -Now on to the disappointing part, the meal. My wife got the Hawaiian Cobb and I got the Kalbi Chicken Bowl. The Cobb was great. Generous portion on a big plate. The Kalbi bowl isn't really Kalbi sauce (for those who know true Kalbi sauce) but it was delicious other than the fact that my chicken was raw!! First price was good but when I grabbed the second one and took a bite, it was way too chewy. The comped us the meal and gave us free dessert. Regardless, raw chicken is not good. I will try to come back here again, as I'm sure they don't do this very often, but I can't help give 2-stars when my meal was prepared like that.

I am surprised to read some of the negative reviews on here. My family and I have been coming to the Beach Cafe for about a year now. On our most recent visit, we came in last night (a Tuesday night) under a reservation for a party of 12 and we were seated right away. While waiting for the rest of our party to arrive we were greeted right away by our server Jared. A humurous but very professional young man who was very attentive the entire meal. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and had some great suggestions for appetizers and drinks. We took Jared's advice and ordered the steamed clams, mussels, and the calamari. OUTSTANDING. The clams and mussels were steamed perfectly and had excellent flavour in the juice. My wife could not stop dipping the bread in the juice and repetitively told me how good it was. The calamari was excellent as well especially with the aioli provided to dip the calamari in. After our entire party arrived we continued onto cocktails. Again Jared had some excellent suggestions on wine and liquor that we were searching for. Our drinks came out fast and we did not need to ask for refills! Our server was on top of things! We received our food out all at once which again no complaints here. Everything was excellent and everyone seemed content by the end of the meal. We really wanted dessert but could not do it because everything else was so filling and good! I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking to get great service and great food. I can't repeat enough how excellent the service was. I wish that more restaurants had servers like Jared. You could tell that he wasn't there just to make money, but he was there to provide us with the knowledge and tools to give us an excellent dining experience! Kudos to you Jared and kudos to you Anthony's Beach Cafe!

I tried their new seafood macaroni and cheese with baby shrimp and fresh Dungeness crab. Flavors were amazing. Unfortunately when I think of macaroni and cheese I think creamy, this was definitely on the watery and not creamy side. Well come back because we've had great food here before but the cheese sauce needs thickening.

I love the outside seating area ! The view of the "beach" and cold breeze....ahhhh refreshing. I seldom go to places that are overly commercialized and a friend insisted that lunch ..happen here. I ordered some fish nacho / thing and ....it was JUST OK, a bit bland and lacked ....everything good. it was a subpar experience and the view and company was what made the visit grand. Id rather go to Ivar's and enjoy a chowder bowl over Anthony's. Coming here for drinks mid afternoon on a sunny day sounds nice but other than that I cant see myself coming back.

Service is outstanding. Peach lemonade and peach slump were perfect. Cioppino is my favorite.

Went there after a lovely late afternoon walk along the pier. We love Chinook's in Ballard so assumed this Anthony's "cousin" would be good, as well. Overpriced for what we got: Coffee served warm-ish, seasonal dessert with stale brownie, the Blue Plate special shrimp was meh, uninspiring. The one bright spot was my dish, the Ling Cod fish & chips. The purple cole slaw was tasty & not drowning in sauce, the fish firm. I substituted dinner veggies for the fries, not bad. Service okay. For the price, attention to detail, service, similar menu & quality, we'll stick to Chinook's.

Love a good HH, and this one has been great, have only sat in the bar but the service is quick and the bartender has made some awesome recommendations. Never feel too full when I leave but its been just right!

One of the few water front dining establishments in Edmonds, right on the marina. Great place for cocktails, and a sandbox for the kiddos, dogs ok on the patio. I love the flowers, the ambiance, and the food is good too, something for everyone. I love the fish tacos and the coconut shrimp bowl. The warm bread basket is to die for. There are heat lamps and blankets for those cooler summer evenings. No hipsters here, just a beautiful location to catch a sunset and enjoy a meal.

Great beach location but the restaurant is very outdated. The food is a hit or miss so you really have to know what to order or just rely on reviews from Yelp. I'm a local so I frequent this restaurant when I'm in the mood for lunch next to the beach on a sunny day. Their Caesar salad is always super drenched in dressing, so if you are like me ask them to go light on the dressing. Some dishes like their cioppino can be overly salted, but very flavorful. The fish and chips and fish tacos are a classic here; can't go wrong with fried food. Try the rhubarb strawberry lemonade or an Arnold palmer. The service is great here, you feel well tended to. Overall, for two lunch entries with 2 drinks, it comes out to be $47 with tip.

Bleh- not much to say about this place. 1 star for the location (on the water), 1 star for the service (everyone is very nice). Other than that, hmmm, let's see the restaurant is outdated and the food is not good. Not my favorite.

Food quality very good, fresh seafood which many seafood/higher end sushi restaurants can do. They can only do this if the volume is high enough. Very similar to Fish market in Bay area, same price for fish dishes, ~30.00/dinner plate. They complement their seafood with locally source fresh vegetables which was asparagus and string beans. Salmon w/steamed string beans. $34.00, wine, misc appetizers, was there for 4h talking and watching sunset. Can't do that in most restaurants. $150/2. Destination restaurant. Busy during peak weekend hours when the weather is good, 1.5h wait on Sun. Outdoor seating. Great view of the sunset. Gets cold when sun goes down, they provide blankets! Rhubarb slump, sour, sweet, crunchy, and creamy and cold contrasts from the ice cream. Good idea to steal to make at home. They bake each portion individually vs. baking an entire pie and slicing it and serving it. This makes each individual serving much hotter and enhances the texture contrasts between the ice cream and the slump/pie. Good idea. Probably a standard restaurant trick.

Great service! My husband and I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and our chips had too much salt on them. The manager came to our table and apologized and got us a side of fruit salad. She also returned with new chips without salt :)

Decent food. Terrible service. Wouldn't take much in the way of organization to boost the service but it's bad.

4 stars for location, ambiance and food quality and quantity. Stick with basics when eating here, fish, mussels, eat what's on the fresh sheet. The deck off the bar is one of the best in town when temps are above 70 degrees. Truly a great place to get excellent drinks and well priced apps. Plus free parking

Good chow! We had a deal through groupon or living social and gave it a try. Service was good, the oysters (my fave) were very tasty, and the beer was cold. Couldn't ask for much more! Not inexpensive but the quality is there...

I'll be brief. At lunch... Food 2-stars Service 5-stars Food server Jodi was excellent - attentive, fast and friendly. Food - not so much. Salmon burger - dry, lettuce, onion, etc., dry and unappetizing. Fried oysters - too few and not crisp but oily, they need to turn up the temperature of the fryer. Salmon bowl - O.K. Chop-Chop - O.K. Chowder - Very good. Jodi, knowing that two of us were sharing, even gave us two individual cups. Good job!

This was our 2nd visit in the past month. Came back just for the huckleberry goodness! Had clam chowder, the seasonal salad (with huckleberries), got to try one of the prawns from the appetizer, and we all had the huckleberry slump for dessert, and it was a-may-zing!!! Service was great, our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Already planning my next visit!

I would give this restaurant two and a half stars, and here's why: It was very busy on a Monday evening. The wait wasn't too bad, but the hostess area was farther into the restaurant than normal, which is confusing for first-time visitors; having to wade through a crowded waiting area to get the attention of a hostess. This is different from most restaurants, where the hostess can easily spot new visitors and get them on the wait list quicker. The decor is dated, and the tile floor and high metal ceiling contribute greatly to the noise level. Putting up some acoustical tiles or classy wall/ceiling treatments would help cut down on the noise. It felt and sounded like a noisy mall cafeteria. The floor and dining area didn't appear very clean, either. My chair and the table felt a little grime-y. They sure are proud of their food. The prices were not comparable to the quality, nor were the portion sizes adequate. I am a 100-lb. woman, and I easily ate everything on my blue plate special (cup of soup, halibut fillet, green beans, and roasted potatoes) and wished I could have had just a little bit more. Typically, I can get full AND have an entire portion leftover for lunch the next day. And at these prices, I would certainly expect more food. The blue plate special said it came with "grilled potatoes AND grilled vegetables..." I thought that would mean a variety of vegetables, or at least two different kinds. Nope, just green beans. Don't get me wrong, the food was tasty enough, and the fish tasted fresh, but the menu description was misleading. The clam chowder was tasty, too. My husband also felt like he didn't get enough to eat (he had the fish and chips). The service was good, but not outstanding. We did wait a bit for our server to first greet us, and to get the bill taken care of, and sometimes we were low on drinks, but not anything so lacking as to make us grumpy. It was busy, after all. So...one star for the tasty food, and one star for the friendly and adequate service. But I was definitely not impressed with the portion sizes, the atmosphere, the noise level, or the cleanliness. This place seems to be coasting on their good reputation. I will give this place another chance, with reservations.

Everything about this experience was just OK. It was a beautiful day outside and we were hoping to sit outside but on Saturday around 1:30 pm, there was about a 30 minute wait so we opted for the first available table. The restaurant felt cramped - the tables were very close together. The service was uninspired - it was friendly enough but with an air of apathy. The menu itself did not have many options that appealed to me. I chose a kalbi chicken bowl with jasmine rice with a soy and sesame glaze. It was a little sweet for my liking and the salad that came with it seemed like an odd choice to accompany the meal. It was fine but nothing noteworthy. The best part was the berry lemonade. They had northwest berries being featured here and the lemonade was fizzy (I'm assuming with soda water) with berries mixed within. It was refreshing and perfect for a hot, summer day. Come here for the outdoor patio and the beautiful view - for drinks.

If it's nice outside, this is one of the best places around for outdoor dining. The food is great, as is the service. But when you're watching that sun go down...it makes it a special experience.

Stumble upon this place and decided to check it out. Sit outside on a warm sunny day - it is worth it. The food is laid back beach food like fish tacos. The prices are reasonable and the servers are nice.

I enjoy this place and have since I first came here years ago. Now that I've gotten a little older I understand it's not the ideal place for dinner with a view, but it could depending on your mood and/or party. We came in here the other night after weighing the option of going upstairs to the Anthony's restaurant or going to the beach cafe. I wanted something more casual, so I persuaded my partner to go to the beach cafe. The restaurant is kind of small so it can get packed quick, and on this particular night there were loud children everywhere. I felt like I had to yell across the four person table that we were seated at (it was just us two) to have a conversation. So keep in mind this might not be the best date place. I ordered the bakers bowl which is chowder in a bread bowl. This is one of my favorite summer eats, but I was disappointed when the bread bowl it came in was hard as a rock, which didn't make it as appetizing as I've had it other places. We both agreed that we should have went upstairs instead to get a better view, better food and an all around better experience.

Cute place, bright and fun. Great location at the Edmonds marina. Nothing on the menu is over $18, unlike the traditional Anthony's where prices can get ridiculous. Great service, my grandparents love this place, they always special order everything and the wait and kitchen staff are always accommodating. I had the seafood macaroni and cheese and shared the seafood chop chop with a friend. Both meals were delicious! Good view, good food, good service!

We came here on a Wednesday evening with people from work to celebrate a co-workers birthday. First I have to say that the fish taco's are very good however the drinks are small for the price compared to other restaurants and eateries and the service was absolutely awful and that is the reason that I am giving this such a poor review. I don't know if they were short handed or what but we hardly saw the waitress or were asked how our dinner was or about drinks and by the time we left nobody had water. I was so thirsty by the time we left I ended up stopping at the nearest convenience store. It was real disappointing that way. I wont be coming back since service is one of the biggest things I look for when we are dining out.

Yes this place is very noisy. It would make a good late night spot, except they don't stay open late night. The noise and inside atmosphere remind me of some spots in Seattle in the 80s. We've been here several times. Although it's not a great view, I like sitting outside on this level. And the sandbox is a great idea. Wish they'd had it when my kids were little. The fish and chips is sometimes greasy but I always think that deep fried fish is iffy. The rest of the food is usually excellent. When they're busy, like 7pm Sat night, the wait is long and the service can be slow. But otherwise it's not bad. I'll go again. (I really like sitting outside). If they ever decide to stay open later I'll go more often.

Where to start.. I've been coming here for 10+ years with my family, at first on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, although that has slowed to once every few months as we all get busier. But throughout our long relationship with the Beach Cafe, everything has always been stellar. There will most likely always be a wait, but it's an enjoyable, well worth it wait, as the giant swordfish looks down from the wall, and there are sand pits outside for little ones (and big ones) to play in. Cleanliness as never been an issue; tables, chairs and bathrooms have always been sparkling. Everyone is always extremely nice, and very helpful. No attitudes here! The breadsticks that greet you at the table are amazing, they have some sort of oregano seasoning on super soft, warm bread. Even if you don't like seafood, you will find something good here. I'm definitely not a big seafood fan, but I definitely do enjoy their clam chowder and taking nibbles of my family's dinner as well. They serve all kinds of burgers and salads that you can get with or without seafood (salmon burger, chicken burger, beef burger, etc). Personally, I get the chicken tacos with fries, and it's one of my favorite meals anywhere. Brother gets the fish and chips or the shrimp and chips and is never disappointed (this kid is a fish and chips connoiseur). I like that their desserts and drinks are seasonally based, so what they are serving at the time is very fresh and delicious. Especially now, their strawberry desserts (strawberry cheesecake) and drinks (strawberry lemonade) are deee-licous! I definitely prefer this to the Anthony's restaurant upstairs from the Beach Cafe, they definitely have more variety and are much cheaper! Although my boyfriend and I have noticed a price increase (upwards of $2 a plate, seafood more), but that won't deter us from coming! I haven't found another place that has quite the same food as the Beach Cafe. Oh, and sure its loud and kind of small, but it really isn't a bother at all, I much prefer that to a quiet, uncomfortable ambience. Also, the outside seating option is pretty awesome on a nice, warm day!

We have been eating here over the past few months as the kids are playing jazz outside for the summer. Anthony's has supported them along with the Port of Edmonds in giving them a chance to play, earn some $$$ and eat great food so of course that rates them in my book already. From the paid side, the service is always quick and the food is great. I had their Seafood pasta last night which was a-ok. Their salads with salmon or steak are great and their rice bowls with prawns look good.

We came here for a team event; holiday lunch, compliments of the my employer. I ordered the blackened rockfish and the fish was overcooked. I LOVE rockfish, so that was a disappointment. The fish was topped with mango salsa, a nice touch as it was tangy and and complimented the fish well. Potatoes served as the starch and they were moist, but bland. The broccoli was nice and tender, a nice bright green color with a little crunch. Our server was on-point. We had a party of 11 and he never missed a beat with refills and was pleasant and patient. The dining room is open, with views of the peninsula (or Kingston...I don't know the area over that way) and you can see people engaged in good conversation throughout the restaurant. Four of my coworkers had the mac n' cheese and they loved it. Anthony's isn't a place I would normally go, but if I do go back I'll probably try the mac. Otherwise, it was a decent experience, but overcooked fish at a seafood place kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Had lunch with my husband here today. We chose to sit at the counter. There was some slimy goo on the chair the hostess offered to me. I had unfortunately put my hand in it and rushed off to to the ladies room. My husband said hostess only wiped at it with a dry cloth and did not get it clean so he opted to sit further down at the bar. Our food was very good (wild salmon salad, blackened fish) but our server forgot about us on several ocassions and we had to ask random staff for things. As we were finishing-up the manager, Barbara, came up and asked us about our meal. I was ready to pay the check and just not tip very well, but I told Barbara about our lack of service and she took the bill from me. She said she is always glad to hear customers' input and that she wants us to return. (Great Manager!!) We left with a smile thanks to Barbara. We love this place. Yes, it can be noisy, but its a great antidote to a Spring that wasn't here in Seattle. Yes, Barbara, we will most certainly be back!

I had a really good meal here last night. Anthony's is a local chain, and for a local chain, they are pretty decent. The restaurant was packed last night with several people waiting 35-40 minutes for a table. My friend and I opted for an open seat at the bar. I ordered off of their seasonal menu- showcasing peaches. The peach Cosmo I had was a delightful, peach pulpy-laden frozen concoction that tasted fresh and well balanced. My meal of fried oysters, green beans, and potatoes tasted so delicious. The oysters were perfectly done, briny and fresh tasting and not over battered, overcooked, or over seasoned in the slightest. The fresh steamed green beans were seasoned lovingly and cooked crisp. The red potatoes were served a little crispy- they tasted good, but i think i would have preferred a double portion of those awesome green beans. Dessert was again off the seasonal menu. A peach melba cheesecake, it was loaded with peachy goodness and garnished with the very freshest fruit. I couldn't finish it and ended up taking half home. It wasn't a cheap meal, but it wasn't too unreasonable for the quality. And the service in the bar was absolutely stellar. I would recommend going during lunch as the dinner rush in the nicer weather months seems to be quite full and busy.

Very lovely! I love coming here, obviously when it's warm and sunny outside. So, typically July-October. Their Mahi tacos are delicious. Something about that sauce they have on there - delicious! The service has always been good to me. They have a good kids menu too, which is nice. Come and enjoy the food - worth it! ((cough cough)) especially if you can find parking!

If you want some good fish and chips this is your place. I ordered the salmon and chips and they were tasty. I was impressed that it was an average sized portion of good fish, instead of a huge serving of subpar fish which you usually see at restaurants. The salmon was moist and the breading was good. The menu here features all sorts of things including fish tacos, fish and chips, dinner platters, salads, etc. This place isn't as stuffy as the upstairs restaurant and is more family friendly, both in atmosphere and on the wallet. If you're looking for quiet fine dining this is not your place, you should go upstairs. But if you're looking for a lively family meal this is your place.

They fish and chips are amazing! Some of the best fish and chips I've had anywhere in Seattle. The service is also very fast and friendly. Whenever I'm in Seattle I make sure to stop by and grab and quick delicious lunch!

Went for dinner with the hubby again last night, and it's still great! We didn't even have to wait, despite the Edmonds Waterfront Festival was going on directly next to the building. Service was still a bit slow, but I always expect it to be when I go there, especially on such a nice day like yesterday. I ordered the salmon burger which is made with a real salmon fillet, instead of pressed salmon, and hubby had the rockfish tacos again. So yummy! The bun on my burger was PERFECTLY toasted, and melted in my mouth. The fries were perfectly crunchy. The server was knowledgeable about what was on the menu and was great about letting us know what we could sub for what if we didn't want what something came with. Note, I think they change their house wines because the last time I ordered a house wine I believe it was a Chardonnay. Last night it was most definitely a Reisling. Fortunately it wasn't too sweet and went well with my food. In an out, a glass of wine, a glass of beer, a side caeser and two entrees for $55!

Went there for breakfast and had the eggs benedict. Hollandaise was far too tangy/sour. The potatoes were very 'meh.' My wife had one of the scrambles which she said was very good, and plentiful. The only saving grace about the meal was the excellent coffee cake that came before the meal + the coffee.

Located right on the beautiful Edmond's Marina, Anthony's Beach Cafe' is a great lunch destination during those amazing summer days on the water! Ample outdoor seating and quick friendly service has made this a regular destination for us while boating. The menu is simple, yet has plenty of choices - the Mahi Mahi fish taco's are fantastic! They have salad's, pasta's, burger's and of course, their tempura battered fish & chip's...which are great! Bon appétit!

Totally fun - amazing seafood mac and cheese - great rich flavor and nice light crunchy panko bread crumbs - perfect! The fish tacos were great as well, really fresh flavor - not a heavy fishy flavor and amazing mango salsa! Great location and our waitress was totally awesome. They have fresh strawberries every day and the strawberry shortcake was really good.

Family friendly portside dining. I enjoyed some ordinary fish and chips and a beer and price was about the same as Ivar's. Some large parties and teams were having dinner and waitstaff did a good job taking care of the tables.

Nice spot right on the water at the Edmonds marina; same building as Anthony's. Food is ok; had the Petrale sole on the blue plate special a while back that was absolutely sensational. Light (not greasy) crunchy crust; the fish melted in your mouth. Unfortunalely have not been able to get it duplicated after 3 more tries. They have now added it to their regular menu but it's not the same. The outstanding dish here in my opinion is the chowder; best I have had. A must have.

Food is OK but location is great right near the Marina & on the water in Edmonds. This is the sister restaurant for Anthony's Home Port upstairs...more casual and louder. We like their salads, fish & chips, burgers, fish tacos. It's cheaper than Anthony's (you can still get grilled fish is you want), good location, outside tables for the summer and place for kids to play in the sand while you wait for a table (2 sand lots - one in front by entrance, one on the water side).

Great location for outdoor dining if the weather is right. Fisherman's Catch and Fish & Chips were both delicious - a bit too heavy on the breading, but the cod and the salmon were of high quality. Cole slaw was light and balanced the heavy meal well. Service is slow as they were understaffed, but friendly.

I've eaten here many times...in fact the first time I visited the Beach Club was for a job interview with a large insurance company in 1999. The gal who interviewed me drove me thru downtown Edmonds and I knew I had to live near the Puget Sound. I figure I have eaten here at about 3 to 4 times a year since 1999 which is testament in itself that I enjoyed it enough to come back. All these years eating here, I've never had a bad meal. Some of my meals were just okay, but most have been pretty decent. My favorite is the Panko-crusted fresh fish, usually halibut. Their fish tacos are pretty decent and I've also had their planked salmon. During those wonderful summer days, ask for a table outside and watch the Edmonds Ferry arrive and depart and enjoy a Puget Sound sunset. In the summertime, the planters outside are overflowing with beautiful flowers and plants providing a wonderful backdrop for the outside tables. They even have 2 sandboxes for the kids: one at the restaurant entrance for those who have to wait for a table....and the other at the rear of the restaurant near the outdoor seating area. So it's definitely a place that kids will enjoy. Service can be a bit hectic and therefore spotty, especially during their busy times. Good place for business lunch if you have the time to handle the 25MPH zones going thru Edmonds downtown area and can put up with a little slower service. If you want a "toni-er " version of the cuisine, eat upstairs at Anthony's Seaport which is probably 2x more expensive...more formal atmosphere and quieter. I personally like the laid-back Beach Club ambience better. Yeah, I'm a regular here and I'll probably continue to be.

I've eaten here probably half-a-dozen times and have never had a bad meal. If you don't like noisy, crowded restaurants, go at an off-time (like mid-afternoon on a weekday). It DOES get noisy in the place. That's the only reason I can't give it 5 stars. Chaos does not make for good dining. But good food does! I always get the mussels appetizer with the bread and I recommend you do the same, no matter what you choose for an entree. Thus far my favorite entree is the fish taco. The seasonal desserts are sensational and huge (the cobblers easily serve 2 people, so order one with 2 spoons). Good atmosphere - particular if you're lucky enough to go on a warm, sunny day. Sit outside and enjoy the breeze and the sound of the seagulls wheeling overhead.

I usually like the Beach Cafe but this visit was the last for me. We walked in and waited for about 5 minutes when 1/2 the tables were open. When we finely got to our table and looked over the menu for about 15 minutes before we asked for some bread. After we got the bread, the waiter came to get our order. I ordered the fish n chips. We were waiting at our table for about 45 minutes before our food came. I tryed my fish and thought it was tasteless. The fries were something from McDonald's and were super greasy. Not to mention that 3 pieces of fish and a handful of greasy fries were 12 bucks. Never going to this place again and would suggest you don't either!

The draw here is really the location. With help of the floor to ceiling windows you can take in the Marina, Island, Ferry and Puget Sound views. They also offer a nice outdoor seating area surrounded by beautiful planter boxes filled with colorful blooms. This is actually the cafe rather than the restaurant and is located on the lower Right side of the building. Otherwise the indoor eating space, perhaps the reason it's called a cafe is open and very loud. Not exactly condusive to a relaxing Sunday afternoon. I've eaten outside in the past and that was much more of an enjoyable experience as the child shreiks and lady cackles don't reverberate around you like they do inside. Unfortunately, although a warm day, the sun wasn't shining and the wind was too cold to bear so we sucked it up for an inside experience. To be honest, the prices at this cafe aren't much of a break from the restaurant so in the future, I think I'll just head up the stairs unless I'm looking to partake in the outdoor seating. The menu is also pretty limited, I thought to myself that the seafood chop salad must be pretty large at $18 however saw one delivered to a table and it looked to be a disappointment. We started with some chowder of which I have to say was quite delicious. Large chunks of potato, celery and tender clams in a creamy base that had a bit of a kick. Both of us then had the fish and chips. These made the noise worth it! The batter was crispy and perfectly seasoned without being greasy or too much in comparison to the fish. The fish inside was perfectly cooked, moist and not at all chewy. This fish literally melted in our mouths! Another bonus was the chips being that they were the thin crispy version, my preferance. The coleslaw had a poppyseed dressing that to me was a bit too mild as I like some vinegar to go with my fish. I did squeeze some of my lemon into it and it really helped the flavor. I waivered here on whether to give 2 or 3 stars however based on the food and service, I went with 3 stars. The downside here is the noise and food prices because you are paying for the view. However if it's a beautiful day, you are in the North end and you're looking to enjoy an outside marine dining experience, I highly recommend this location and the prices may be worth it to you in the end.

If it's a sunny day in Seattle this is a beautiful place to eat lunch. They have a great outdoor seating area, or even inside where there is wall to wall windows of the amazing view of the Edmonds Marina water front. It's a prime location in the summer so expect to wait a little bit, but it's definitely worth it. The menu is a bit on the pricier side with no lunch specials, but I've always been satisfied with what I've eaten there, and it obviously hasn't stopped me from going back. Some of my favorites are the Blackened Fish Tacos - the mango salsa is delicious, and the Prawn Salad is AMAZING!!! They grill the prawns to perfection and toss small clumps of garlic with their oh-so-yummy garlic cream dressing, I also love that they grill the lettuce just the right amount of time to add a little extra taste to it. The food is great and the service is usually quick and easy, so check it out if you haven't already. Yum!

Good food, good service, and outdoor seating. Perfect for a nice afternoon family lunch. My niece and nephew were happy and so were my parents. Plus our waitress was upbeat and interesting but not overbearing. Will definitely head back on a nice sunny day.

reliably decent. i've never had a great meal here, and never had a bad meal either! every option on the menu comes out consistently edible, every time. it's a good place to have a quick bite after bringing the boat back in... or if you are down at the marina and don't have time for Arnies or Anthony's proper. the service can be a little slow, particularly on drink refills. still, staff members are friendly and helpful and the kitchen doesnt mind making special variations on the menu descriptions. I always know what I'm going to get, at the beach cafe: in as far as consistency is a valuable feature for any restaurant, I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

We've always had yummy meals here. There is outdoor seating in the summer for those of you who enjoy working on your tans while you're eating and plenty of indoor seating inside as well. I love the Seafood Chop Chop. Lots of crab, yummy dressing, avacado, egg, good ripe cherry tomatoes. Get the dressing on the side and it will stay crunchy. Another favorite is the Crispy Coconut Prawn Bowl. Sticky rice at the bottom, greens on the side with julienne beets and carrots, and crunchy sweet prawns on top. Pour the dressing over (I use about a 3rd of what they give you, there's already a bit on it) and YUM! Delish! My husband loves the Baker's Bowl. Tasty clam chowder in a crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside bread bowl with a Caesar salad on the side. After you eat the chowder you can nosh the bowl. Our kids always eat well here (devour the fried calamari and then their entrees) and the service has always been good. We've been going here since they were babies, and the waiters are always helpful and quick. It's a more leisurely meal than Red Robin, so kick back, have a glass of wine and relax. This is a noisy, casual joint so don't expect a quiet lunch or an intimate dinner. It can be a bit pricey and there is usually a wait. You can walk around the marina while you're waiting or the kids can play in the sandbox (if you're OK with them getting all sandy.) It's a great place to bring the kids and out of town guests if you're looking for local flavor and beautiful Sound views. Plus, you can wear your flip flops without feeling out of place. Always a good thing.

Was here with my husband and son a few weeks ago. My husband and I had the Citrus Glazed Wild Salmon Salad, which was absolutely delicious! I made sure when ordering that I requested no butter for the salmon, as honestly, it doesn't need it because the fish tastes so fresh. When I go back, I will order this again. So healthy and satisfying! The lighting is perfect, not too dark. The waiters are always very attentive. They pay attention to your body language and pick up on subtle cues and act/respond accordingly. My son (8 yrs) had a cheeseburger, which was not on the kids menu. He did enjoy the burger.

Not good, not good at all. I didn't expect too much when I came here, but I and got far less than expected. Its lunch bistro fare and its on the cheaper side so I was wasn't expecting anything outrageous in terms of style or prep. However, the simpler the dish, the more necesary it is to be well prepared. For an appetizer we had a chop chop salad and some sort of shimp cajun potato thing. The shrimp and crab in the salad had the taste and texture of something out of a can. As for the other app, the shrimp was overcooked and the potatoes were nearly raw. Not a good start. For an entree I chose the sole dish, lightly breaded and quickly pan seared with lemon and herbs, very simple and i figured impossible to screw up. Wrong, The fish came out looking like it had killed the cooks mother and the cook wanted sweet revenge. Heavily breaded and looking like it been sitting in the fryer for a month. .... It was not good. It was served with some asparagus that was actually well cooked (bright green and still semi crisp and not limp at all) and a potato side that looked and tasted like it had been made that morning(truly) and simply reheated to order. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

There are very few restaurants that I feel totally comfortable bringing my two kids and also receiving an excellent meal. Here's the reasons I adore this place: Giant sandbox that is well cared for where the kids play, and I dine. Quality inexpensive kids menu. Very good cioppino. A view of the water. A lot of pluses to this excellent gem of a place. I have a new fave!

This place is phenomenal. My husband, my roommate and myself found this place driving around, and it was an amazing experience. The food was beyond words. I ordered the Kalbi Chicken Bowl per the waitress's recommendation and it was one of the best things I ever eaten. My husband ordered the shrimp fettuccine and demolished it. I'm not a seafood fan and even I liked it. Our waitress was the sweetest person. She gave us helpful suggestions on what to order and when finding out we were new to the area, she told us all of these great tips about the weather and what to expect and was overall a very personable and attentive waitress.

This is a great restaurant with patio for those who are close to Edmonds, want to enjoy the sunny summer with friends and those that have kids. Nice staff, good food, good live music, pleasant location by the water. I had a great time with my friends there. I tried coconut prawn bowl which honestly I didn't expect too much from the dish because the environment was already worth it, but I was wrong. The coconut prawn bowl was delicious! I dont have any reason to not give 5 stars to this place.

You really can't beat the downtown Edmonds waterfront on a hot, summers day in Seattle. We arrived just before they opened and got in line with the rest of the hungry locals. We were sat outside in 5 minutes and our serve was young but helpful and very attentive. We ordered the clam chowder and fish tacos. Thought it was a bit strange that our meals were served with chips and salsa but it was enjoyable none the less. The ciabatta bread with butter, oil and herbs they serve as you sit down was really, really too good. I had to push that away and fast! Really can't go wrong with this place.

At lunch today, Tuesday July 7, 2015, there was a glitch with the kitchen printer that delayed our food from coming out in a normal amount of time. Our waitperson and the manager both came by to proactively explain the situation. They gave us a complimentary dessert to make up for the delay. We received our order shortly thereafter. The food was excellent and the service, aside from the printer glitch, was terrific. But I do want to say that what I was most impressed with was the proactive approach by the manager and waitperson to avert what would have been a very unhappy experience for us. As it turned out, it was awesome. Professionalism and taking responsibility won the day for Anthony's Beach Cafe. You other restaurant owners, managers and waitstaff can learn a lesson here. It's not hard. Well done Anthony's. Well done!

I was contacted by the manager Barb Mountz about my issues, and I have to say that she was extremely sympathetic to my complaint. She actually took ownership of this and assured me that this is not how Anthony's trains their help and explained that their expectations actually should exceed mine. I could tell that she was very concerned and was extremely appreciative of my review and follow up. I trust that my next visit (that will be soon) will be of the same standard of customer service that Anthony's is famous for.

I don't know what happened to Anthony's Beach Cafe. The idea is awesome: a more affordable version of Anthony's with the same experience. And they've been an Edmonds institution for years. I've gone and eaten there since I was a little girl. A friend of mine, raised in Edmonds, loves Edmonds and had her wedding reception at Anthony's. That's how much we adore Anthony's. I can't imagine Edmonds without both Anthony's and the Beach Cafe. That said... They did a remodel a few years back. And the inside looks great! They can seat more people, and they have a few more private rooms. But they don't have enough waiting staff for the amount of customers they have. Due to this, their service is slow. I'll forgive them on things, because I know how stressful it can be when you only have another server with you and there's a huge line of hungry people, not to mention all of the customers you have already seated. And we were in on the last week a coupon was going to be valid. But if you have a deal going on, shouldn't you make sure you have enough people covering the floor? I will say their food hasn't suffered, it's still delicious. Their salmon cakes are to die for. And I always love their fish tacos. Just bring the service up a notch.

It's your classic, neighborhood PNW food joint - nothing to write home about but everything is cooked well with good flavors! They do have delicious clam chowder, and my friend was happy with the salmon bowl.

We visited Anthony's on a Monday night around 6pm- It was moderately busy.. They have a unlimited fish and chips special on Mondays for I believe $13.95.. That is probably why.. We were seated right away- A nice window seat overlooking the patio in front of the marina.. Our server Molly was very friendly and attentive- Fast service for everything- I am not a seafood fan, I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich- Hold the Mayo- It was perfect very tasty! IPA from local brewery was cold and good.. Other members of my table ordered various fried fish dishes- No complaints- Everyone was happy with their meal.. - Its pretty pricey, but what you expect on Edmonds Marina- We will be back!

We took the kids to Anthony's Beach Cafe today because a friend of mine told us about the sandbox. I have to say that the sandbox was the only good thing about our experience. After waiting for our food (fish tacos, fish & chips, and a couple of kids meals) we discovered the fries were barely warm. The cocktail I ordered, a strawberry cosmo, was bitter and lacked any real flavor, and the service left a lot to be desired. I will say our server was nice but she forgot our bread (even after we asked for it) and when I asked for more diet coke she only brought one, despite it being a very warm day AND the fact that ALL FOUR OF US were drinking diet coke. When seated outside on a hot day I don't expect to have to ask for refills on a cold drink and when I do, please be thoughtful enough to bring one for everyone. Besides cold fries, the rest of the meal was bland. Also, despite being a "beach cafe" the prices were still up there. I could have gone to Ivar's, spent 1/2 the money and had a better meal. Seems to me you're paying for the location, which I don't mind if the food is good. This was not. Given how many great places there are to eat in and around Seattle, I can't say that we'll be going back - sandbox or no.

We were referred to this location by some locals. We sat outside, because there is a large sand pit for our 3 kids to enjoy. The food was very fresh. I had the Bay Shrimp Mac and Cheese and my wife had another pasta dish that was really good. This might be a 5-Star, but the beer selection was not very good at all. The local IPA was more like and amber. Not a fan, but the food, environment and service was really good.

Love this place! Great specials, good food, great views, kid friendly patio with a sandbox - couldn't ask for more! I only wish the Anthonys Homeport could utilize part of the Beach Cafe's patio for their Happy Hour (which is one of the best) so there was more family friendly seating for HH.

One of my favorite places in Seattle. The drinks they have on special are always spectacular-like the food... I love the salmon, the Cesar, the fish tacos are a must try!!! Whenever bar tends does an excellent job. Very, very good! Also bread that comes first is addicting be careful! Almost forgot to mention desserts. The cobblers a la mods, perfect...

My family and I went to have dinner at Anthonys Beach Cafe on monday around 5-6. It wasn't my first time there, so I knew what to expect but this last time was dussapointing. My dad and younger brother got there before us and the waitress didn't even ask them if they wanted anything to drink. The seats and table cloth were sticky and they didn't feel clean. We didn't get any bread until after we ordered our food and it seemed like we waited forever for refills and tater sauce. Usually when we go there, we get pretty good service, but this last time was not very satisfying.

Great improvements! Added dining area around back corner with booths (perfect for families with small children.) Changed recipe for All you can eat fish n chips on Mondays to a Panko style breading which is not near as greasy. Service was great; never had to ask for more of anything. It was good before, but even better now.

Went on a sunny busy Sunday late afternoon, so of course it took a while to get a table on the patio. Had a couple drinks at the bar in the meantime, and then had dinner in the sunshine. The service was great, food pretty good, portion was kinda small for $17 rockfish, and all the healthy side vegetables were customarily covered in butter. I could definitely see coming here with kids, with all the places for them to play -- sandboxes and grassy areas.

Go ahead and come by for the sunset menu - a 4 course meal for $22. With a large group, it's hard to adequately judge some of their dishes, but here's what I got: Wild Salmon Croccantini - 5/5. Absolutely delightful! Crunchy, buttery cracker topped with a dollop of mashed potatoes and a slice of salmon. New England Clam Chowder - 2/5. Creamy cup of chowder, but a bit lacking in clam flavor. May have just gotten a bad batch. I would come by to try this again. Duet Salmon & Shrimp - 2/5. Decent portion of salmon, covered with baby shrimps and served aside a pilaf (with dried fruits). The pilaf didn't match my tastes since I don't like sweet and savory mixed. However, the salmon was on the dry side. I will overlook this since I came with a large party and I think they worked hard to bring out all the food together. Burnt Cream (Creme Brulee) - 5/5. One of the best I've had! Chilled to the core, flavorful and creamy with a great burnt/caramelized top. Absolutely would order this again!

Stopped in around 1pm today for lunch, I ordered the beach burger and I have to say it was literally the worst hamburger I have ever had, the bun was brushed with a gallon of lard or butter, the burger was thin and tasteless the meal came out on a wicker plate that didn't seem sanitary, the cloth napkins were old and well washed, fabric was all piled up and worn, I've had great burgers at all other Anthony's restaurants, the wood fired grills being the best.

  • Wendy W.

The fish selection is low end: Rock fish, sole, fish and chips, salmon, and some prawns. They DO NOT offer Mahi Mahi steaks, halibut, crab legs, snapper, etc. I was so disappointed that I waisted our family day coming here; I only ordered the clam chowder because nothing looked appealing and I just wanted to leave. Such a waist of our time.

View is beautiful. Good quality seafood but poorly executed. The waiters didn't care to be there which is fine, but I need at least one redeeming quality besides the view and the good bartender. We understand that we pay a markup for seafood at restaurants, but to pay $35 for a halibut dish that was dry and needed copious amounts of patron applied seasoning was disappointing. We live in the north end so we figured Anthony's was a safe bet to try when we were craving seafood and a "fancier" meal. Welp...we were better off driving an extra 8 miles to have a great selection of oysters and perfectly executed seafood at the same price at Elliot's. Skip this Anthony's if you're willing to pay a premium. It's not worth it. If you just want a drink this place gets an extra star for their unassuming bartender that makes great drinks. With that said, the waitstaff was somewhat cold and abusive towards him which was extremely off putting. Not one of the waiters said thank you to the bartender when they would yell at him for more supplies in front of the restaurant. Being nice to your patrons is not enough. If you're rude and mean to your colleagues it makes the entire restaurant experience disingenuous and not worth the money. Want decent seafood? - just go to Ivar's Want a fancier meal with a great view and at least a waitstaff that pretends like they actually want to make your experience worthwhile - bite the bullet and just drive to the pier for Elliot's or pretty much anywhere else.

Came here last night, they were moderately busy and were seated within 5 minutes in the middle of the restaurant. We sat with our menus for 15 minutes, not even water. Asked the hostess if she could please send over a server. Another 5 minutes and the hostess came back and took our drink order. Another 10 minutes passed and we finally ordered and had really good food but not sure I would go again. It was actually very uncomfortable.

This was already my moms and my favorite place to eat lunch on Saturdays. She is going to be 79 this year and on the way to our table, she stopped and asked a woman and more than likely her daughter if what they were eating was good. Chatted for maybe 30 seconds and went to our table. The waiter brought the bill, turns out for no other reason than we think than to just make our already fun Saturday even better they had paid our bill for us. Great day, excellent food and the nicest gesture from complete strangers I've ever seen. We highly recommend this place!

My family and I have been coming here for decades... and have always felt like it's kind of hit or miss. Today we were lucky enough to be taken care of by Malcolm, and as it always is with him as our server, it was fantastic. He is friendly without being intrusive, knowledgable, and efficient. He ensures food is correctly prepared and that drinks are attended to. Anthony's is lucky to have a server like him, and I will probably call ahead next time to be certain he is working before we decide to eat here.

Very disappointed. After waiting for a table we were served barely average food. It was borderline fast food-ish with a high price. Not worth $13.99 for 3 small pieces of fish and hardly enough fries to call it a meal. The fish was oozing grease and the fries were tiny & flavorless. We should have saved our time and money and went elsewhere.

Over done clams and shrimp at a restaurant known for its seafood. Extremely over priced food with a childish outdated interior. At least the drinks were stiff.. won't come back. They get amazing seafood then destroy it. The Mahi Mahi reminded me of cheap taco del Mar fish tacos. BBQ shrimp came in a lake of oil. Seventy dollar bill for a forty dollar meal. Shame.

Seasonal special - Strawberry Rhubarb lemonade with vodka - Awesome!! This is a reasonably priced nice casual spot for a good meal. The Maui Maui Tacos are my personal favorite they are fantastic! The fish and chips are also very good. For desert, currently rhubarb is the focus - the rhubarb slab with ice cream is really yummy!

Place gets chilly in "winter" , drafty doors, bring a light sweater . I thought the place was really nice can't wait to go when its warmer. the garlic bread is so good, i want the recipe, next time i go ill try & bribe the server, Im not kidding it was that good. I ordered the tempura shrimp, it wasn't normal tempura, the light crispy kind, it was very heavy , dipped in beer batter? I don't know , all I know is that it was reallllly hot when it got to me, but after letting it cool down a bit it was heavy & greasy , I tried my best to eat it, but I did not like it. my boyfriend got the Rick fish & that was so delicious. I recommend it to everyone the service was great, the server went out of his way to ask the cook if they used MSG , they don't . the clam chowder is out of this world. & I'm from new England. Best I have ever had .

I have to be honest, I've revisited the beach cafe a few times this summer because I have a toddler now, and the sandbox adjacent to the outdoor dining tables is a blessing sent down from heaven. The fish and chips that I referenced in my initial review have undergone a recipe change and are so much better, and service has always been very prompt and kind which we especially appreciate because we have a small child with us.

Large sand put outside for kids to play in. My wife got the grilled salmon and it was fantastic. I've always hated salmon, and this was so good I'll order it myself next time. I got the blackened rockfish, and it was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be returning!

I was starving after a long hike and came across Anthony's on Yelp. I've been to a couple of other locations in the Seattle area so I know it's a solid option. I ordered the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. They were ok but didn't have enough fish inside of them. The flavors were good and all but they just skimped on the actual fish. The side of chips was also on the skimpy side which isn't a huge deal if you put more fish in the tacos! I kicked myself in the ass for not ordering the salmon burger! I ordered a dish of the seasonal peach ice cream and WOW...it was awesome. I'm not a huge fan of peach flavored anything but this was pretty awesome ice cream. My server was a young guy who did a nice job overall.
