I've been back and had excellent service and continue to have excellent food. The honey chicken is sweet and delicious! Prepare for service disruptions but its worth it because the food is that good.
This is my favorite place in DuPont. The staff is consistently sweet and attentive! I am sure they have plenty of good food, but I can't help but get the house Yokisoba every time I go. It has such great flavor and is cooked perfectly. And as for sushi, the only one I have tried so far was the shrimp tempura. It was such a large portion and absolutely the best I've ever had.
Great, very fresh sushi. Had the rainbow roll with spicy mayo over the top. Excellent!! Very prompt, friendly service.

Farrelli’s Wood Fire Pizza

1590 Wilmington Dr
Dupont, 98327
Reviews:
I have been here a few times since coming to WA, and I really cannot say anything bad about the place. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant has ample seating and is very clean. The pizza is good, and they have some nice happy hour specials including discount well drinks, and food items. The crust is my favorite part of the pizza. It is thin and crispy, but not too crispy, and is prepared on a wood fire oven, that you can see when you are in the dining area. They also offer fresh parmesan when they bring out your pizza. None of the dry, jarred stuff you get at other pizza places. They have tons of beers on tap, and several TVs that show sports. This is a nice place to go out for pizza, and a few beers. A Family atmosphere mixed with sports bar atmosphere makes Farrelli's awesome.
Horrible to say the least Came in an sat on the bar side of the restaurant and there were only 2 tables... Our party of 3 and one party of 8. We ordered (Mac n cheese and 2 salads) round of soda. 38 min later no food, no soda refills... Waitress MIA Finally had to leave to get back to work and get the food to go, and we're told that they are finishing up our salad. Worst part was that looking into the kitchen 4 people were standing around doing nothing.
I want to like this place, I truly do. We moved to DuPont about a year ago and have tried Farrelli's about 5 times. This last time was because the inlaws were in town and wanted to try it. Oookay, but you asked for it. As usual, the service was slow. Like....so, incredibly slow. It's okay, I had good company, but the kids nearly pooped themselves with the wait time. The servers always seem caught off guard when asked questions about their menu. For example, one server accidentally brought my husband sweetened tea, and when our main server came back and we told her, she said (and I quote), "All we have is unsweetened tea, so that's impossible." Then she goes back to discover, yes! Farrelli's does, in fact, serve sweetened and unsweetened tea. My favorite of the night was when we asked what the Buttered Rum drink was made with. Our server came back after checking and said, "My manager said it's an alcoholic drink." .........You don't say? I'm pretty sure our server was drunk. Or brand new. Probably both. The problem is that we get a different version of drunken-new server every time we go in there. The crappiest thing is that this place is way too expensive for the level of awesomeness they claim. Oh Farrelli's I want to like you, but you suck.

Super Buffet

975 Ross Ave
DuPont, 98327
Reviews:
I wouldn't go anywhere else. There are others called Super Buffet in Northgate and Puyallup... but it's not like this little gem in Dupont. $12.99 gets you all-you-can-eat dungness crab, chinese food, sushi, ice cream etc... Make sure you wait for that cook to come out with a fresh steaming pot of crab before all the elderly asian ladies come and push you aside. For the price you pay, despite the drive, it's worth it.
I'm really not a big buffet fan, but my parents LOVE it. Pros: They have a large selection of fresh seafood (crab legs, prawns, clams, muscles, crawfish, etc. The Chinese greens are good. The price is right for treating the parents and I do get my money's worth taking them (makes up for me)! 4 adults and 2 children under 70 bucks. Con: It's so far out there just to get not so great food. Salad bar is painfully sad. Desserts are cute but not tasty. Sushi -- it should be against the law to go to a Chinese place for Japanese food. That's just wrong. It's like going to a teriyaki restaurant for vietnamese pho.
This is the just of what happened . I went to reach for the strawberries and there were a few with mold (blue/white film) growth. I told our waitress and she acknowledged but took no action . On our way out , we checked the strawberries and there were still there . Now, I have experience with storing strawberries and I know they spoil fast . That being said , it is no question whether the food is old but the fact that after presented with a problem , the employee ignored it . The only employee to take action was the hostess. On our way out we told her as well and she removed the bad strawberries and apologized . At the beginning on the incident I would have returned to the restaurant a later time because I know it is hard to keep strawberries specifically fresh. But too many fails . First the one employee responsible for putting out the food on the tray and secondly the waitress that ignored the problem . Shame .

McNamara’s Pub & Eatery

1595 Wilmington Dr
DuPont, 98327
Reviews:
I thought the atmosphere was nice. The booths were comfortable, plenty of TV's plastered all over the walls to watch whatever you desire, and the service was proper. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was very good. The sweet potato fries were okay. Nothing knock-your-socks-off, but good. The Irish cream pie that I had for desert was awesome!!! One of the best deserts that I think I have ever had!
We just had the worst service I've ever had. Shauna was our server and I'm pretty sure it was her first day working in a restaurant or customer service ever. Every interaction, which were few, was as though someone had told a dead baby joke that hit too close to home before she walked to our table. So awkward. No beer knowledge, brought half of the food out way before the other half, etc. I would love to encourage you all to go there, but just avoid her section. I eat out a lot and this tips the top with bad service. Also the food was mediocre at best.
Oh McNamara's. We have frequented this fine establishment with mixed experiences. The last two times, however, we actually complained and talked to the manager. It's like the more you go, the worse it gets. I suggested Mc's to eat at when my parents came to town from Arizona. Our food didn't come out for an hour and 15 minutes. No, seriously. I will show you the screen shot. We were about to leave, but out came our food. My mom's salad had dirt in it, like they failed to wash the romaine. That pretty much did it for everyone. I asked for the manager. Mr. Hipster-Gauged ears man came over and apologized. He said that they had call outs and our server was new. I get it, but that was the excuse LAST time. You only get to pull the "lack of servers/new server" card once per customer. I didn't understand why he wasn't helping the new server who was apparently not managing her tables well. Help her fill drinks. Help her run plates. Check on the tables. The only time I saw him the entire time was when he was walking across the restaurant carrying a latter. Whatever you need the latter for could have waited....I guarantee it. Anyway, sad to say it, but I'm staying away from this place for a long time. I am embarrassed that I took my parents here.

Super Yummy pink lollipop cupcake!
I just went through the drive through today at the Dupont Starbucks and this is only my 2nd Tall Tvana Oprah Chai Latte. My drink tasted very bland. I tasted like hot water with foam on it. I did not taste the drink while at the drive through because the beverage was still too hot to drink. I drove all the way home expecting to enjoy my beverage and took a sip of the latte. ...disappointed. I like the customer service but perhaps there was just no attention to detail with my drink? ..I knew I should have just gone to the 72nd street Starbucks.
You guys really need to take a cue from New York City on efficiency and service standards. There is NO good reason why it should take 10 minutes in a line to order an iced coffee that takes FIFTEEN MINUTES to turn around. Twenty five minutes?? Really? Who do you think you are? Here's an idea: have one person take orders, one person to make the simple brew and iced coffee orders, one barista **at least** to make the complicated orders. (But everyone is getting their soy chai latte with extra foam, so two baristas next time). This is not the first bad experience I've had on the west coast for Starbucks (Dunkin all the way on the East Coast, for the record). But when in Rome, or Washington State. Think you'd have A+ customer service in the home state. Shame on me, since I've been fooled more than two times.
