I wouldn't go anywhere else. There are others called Super Buffet in Northgate and Puyallup... but it's not like this little gem in Dupont. $12.99 gets you all-you-can-eat dungness crab, chinese food, sushi, ice cream etc... Make sure you wait for that cook to come out with a fresh steaming pot of crab before all the elderly asian ladies come and push you aside. For the price you pay, despite the drive, it's worth it.

I'm really not a big buffet fan, but my parents LOVE it. Pros: They have a large selection of fresh seafood (crab legs, prawns, clams, muscles, crawfish, etc. The Chinese greens are good. The price is right for treating the parents and I do get my money's worth taking them (makes up for me)! 4 adults and 2 children under 70 bucks. Con: It's so far out there just to get not so great food. Salad bar is painfully sad. Desserts are cute but not tasty. Sushi -- it should be against the law to go to a Chinese place for Japanese food. That's just wrong. It's like going to a teriyaki restaurant for vietnamese pho.

This is the just of what happened . I went to reach for the strawberries and there were a few with mold (blue/white film) growth. I told our waitress and she acknowledged but took no action . On our way out , we checked the strawberries and there were still there . Now, I have experience with storing strawberries and I know they spoil fast . That being said , it is no question whether the food is old but the fact that after presented with a problem , the employee ignored it . The only employee to take action was the hostess. On our way out we told her as well and she removed the bad strawberries and apologized . At the beginning on the incident I would have returned to the restaurant a later time because I know it is hard to keep strawberries specifically fresh. But too many fails . First the one employee responsible for putting out the food on the tray and secondly the waitress that ignored the problem . Shame .

It seems DuPoint is growing little city. I visited my cousins in Dupont, WA. My uncle was a Former 1st Sergeant with the US Army at Fort Lewis and took the family here, Super Buffet. After arriving to SeaTac Airport, each family that I stayed with took me to a Buffet....lol...There are so many Chinese Buffets in Washington. All have very elegant decorations and gold plated poles and dragons. This was the best buffet that I visited in Washington. Not sure what it looks like now, not sure if they put up a Grocery Store, but all I remember is that its next to a Dentist or some sort of Medical Practice. I did not pay, so I cannot tell you the price per person when I went during the weekend. They had a lot of food than the typical HomeTown Buffet or Chinese Buffet in Los Angeles. They had an abundance amount of seafoods and long tables for probably guests of 30. Their Clams and Oysters were great!! However, I love the best was the COCONUT Shrimp. I think the family and I were there for over 2 hours just chatting and eating since they haven't seen me in a long time. I think its about time to go back to Washington and pay my cousins a visit?! It was great, but they need a Grocery Store...lol...I think the economy in the area started slowing and building is in slow transition, If anyone can update me with whats going on there, it would be great!! Have Fun here and Keep Yelping!!

Here's the deal. Its clean, orderly, all you can eat (trough feeding) with a huge selection. There is really no room to bitch about anything and you are out the door for about $11. Having said that I can only handle it about once a year and only when I am stranded on an island starving hungry. Having been raised by parents of the depression I feel compelled to get my money's worth only to feel like a glutton afterwards. If you haven't been there give it a try...at least once.

My boyfriend and his family loves to eat here so we always end up going here. This by far is one of the best buffet place because it has a large variety of seafood. My favorite would be their ginger lobsters...they are to die for!!!!!!

Regarless of the grease food, I still like this place for all you can eat lobster/oyster 2 way/crab leg for a okay price. I know stores that charge more than that. Beside the food that being eaten more by customer, other food were kinda stale due to being under the heat lamp way too long. The location is pretty weird, but it alot closer from my place than the other super buffet. The fruit area was pretty fresh too. You should call ahead to see what they serve at their dinner buffet, otherswise, you might come in and pay for something you didn't even like. Overall, I would visit again, just have to call ahead.

This place is pretty big, and the only reason it gets three stars well because I have had better. Sad to say right? Wrong I have been to worse places than this, and this was before Yelp and they are out of business now, so I know what good/bad/subpar chineses food tastes like. The egg drop soup was so-so, the chineses doughnuts were decent, the orange chicken was dry, general Tso Chicken was Tso-Tso. I did not get to try everything but from what I had I might try some other stuff if I come here again.

I can excuse the empty trays, stale food, atrocious service and the flat soda. This is, afterall, a chinese buffet place. BUT THE LINE GETS DRAWN AT THE PEOPLE CLIPPING THEIR FINGER NAILS AT THE TABLE. All the people that gave this place high reviews need to get out more

This place is ok for the money. The quality of the food has gone down a lot from the time when it first opened. I have gone here couple times in the past and the food selection along with the quality of ingredients is average. It's a buffet so one can't expect too much. Majority of selections are fried and greasy but isn't that what buffets are for lol. However, if you want good selections and better quality ingredients in the food, try out Main Japanese buffet in Federal Way. By far, that place is the best buffet in this area that I've found. If you don't want to drive up there, try out AAA Buffet in South Tacoma Way.

Good food for a buffet! Good selection of various chicken and beef dishes and a Mongolian grill.

I used to be a fan of the Super Buffet. I haven't ordered from there in about 4 months. Ordered take out today, and it was terrible. The rice tasted like they hadn't rinsed the pots properly. The egg rolls have changed, and they're terrible now. Almost tastes like they're using breakfast sausage in them, that's the closest spice palette I can compare it to. The crab rangoon/wonton was more cream cheese than anything, and had a funny taste. I don't know if the oil was new or old, or if they'd changed the oil to a different kind entirely. The batter on the sweet and sour chicken was too thick, and not cooked thoroughly. Really disappointed. Their buffet was great about 6 months ago, but now I'm questioning whether or not I'll ever take the chance and see if that's changed. Next time I'm ordering from KoKo's Teriyaki. They deliver, and they're consistent.

Overall this place is very good. I like the food and the huge verity they offer. It was clean and had a good pleasant atmosphere. It looks like they are doing a remodel so there was some unpainted walls. Other than that it was a good experience.

What a place! I've seen alot of Chinese buffet before, but this place is above par than the standard joints.. First visited Super Buffet with my classmate and teacher during lunch.. I was a bit skeptical of the whole thing but i was quickly proven wrong.. The food was fresh, maybe because it was during lunch, and plentiful. Muscles on a half shell, fresh made sushi, great fruit bar.. a little bit of everything for everybody.. and u cant beat the price.. so go over and give it a try..

I really should not be reviewing a buffet at all..since I walk in the door and am hit in the face by all the differing smells ...if there was good food at a buffet I sure as heck would never know...they are way too much for anyone (like me) who is overstimulated by anything called a "mart" And this really is a "mart" style way of eating... People were having fun and looked happy feasting on the seafood I tasted too much salt and drank a boatload of water at 3am

Having lived in Hong Kong and a real Chinese Food Snob, my wife avoids places like this. I'm very experienced in overseas living as well, but being an American male and eats like a "Gui-lo", I think this place is OK for "chineses food". For an all you can eat place, they do an OK job. You can do a lot worst. I normally load up from the sushi and cold seafood counters. Not the greatest seafood items, but then, it is an all you can eat buffet. The hot entrees are about what you can expect from places like Panda Express or any of the numerous take out places around town. Again, nothing to really Yelp about, but then, not bad for an all-you-can-eat place. Do avoid the "western" style items. This is an all-you-can-eat Chinese place after all. Service was not bad. They bus your used plates away as you finish them. I had no problems with getting good service there. Even during those busy Sundays after church time period. Will go again and again with my "Gui-Lo" friends.

I'll admit that the $7.99 lunch special is a great deal for a variety of Chinese/American food and sushi. They have all the fried favorites (crab wontons, egg rolls, orange chicken) and plenty of sushi rolls to select from. Their desserts are a bit lackluster, but the fried doughnuts are very yummy (and consequently very popular). I don't know if I'd pay more for the food though. I would not drive down here from Seattle, but when I'm at Ft. Lewis for the day, this place is the best option by far.

We went there for my son's first Birthday. I reserved the for a small amount of folks and they were very accommodating. As soon as we sat down the waiters were on us on asking our drinks. We bought a Birthday from Baskin and Robbins prior to arriving to the buffet and asked to have it held in the freezer the waiter was "sure we can do that." While eating I had some of the clams, crab legs, coconut shrimp. All were great for being at this restaurant. I will continue to eat here and recommend to others eat here.

Looks are definitely deceiving! My family and I recently went to the Super buffet in Dupont on a Sunday afternoon. For myself, husband, and our 3 small children, we paid a total of $80 to get into the buffet. After the initial shock of the price, we were excited to see the variety of food that Super Buffet had to offer. The ambiance is great as you walk in; soothing water sounds calm you, above average decor greets you to your table. Unfortunately, midway through that walk, the strong smell of perfume or soap combined with I'm assuming a artificial crab meat hits you like a ton of bricks. I can't deny the enormous selection that Super Buffet offers. There are enormous amount of dumplings, crab, fresh fruits and tons of desserts to choose from. Sadly, the great selection did not save my family from becoming nauseous. The perfume smell lingered all around the buffet, causing my 7 year old to get sick. After about 20 minutes of waiting for my son to get out of the bathroom, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, one of our other children became ill right in the middle of the buffet tables. When we finally got home to Lakewood, my entire family for some reason were really, really tired and weak. Since the next day, I vowed to stay away from any other American Chinese Buffet!

All you can eat Asian seafood buffet- SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! I went here on Sunday with a girlfriend and my two little ones. So so Asian food not the best for the price but, hey it's all you can eat with sushi and crab legs so, I'm not complaining. The fruit bar was awesome as well as the endless selection of chicken. The atmosphere was cool, casual, and relaxed. Also, the restroom was clean!

This place is in such an awkward location - in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere. The parking was a bit bizarre for a shopping type place. I have to say that this place is one of the better chinese/asian buffets I've been too. With that being said, the place did leave a lot to be desired. I couldn't try everything because there was so much food to choose from. I like the variety that they have but the stuff I tried wasn't all that great. Their soups were bland, which is a shame because I love hot & sour soup and egg drop soup. I was hoping for so much more. Every seafood item that was labeled as "stuffed" used the exact same stuffing. It wasn't good on the scallops and it wasn't good on the shrimp. The clams were yummy and I couldn't stop eating the honey walnut shrimp (which they labeled as "Coconut Shrimp". I'll assume it was an oversight). Their raw oysters were huge but they didn't even bother to disconnect them from their shells. After struggling with them and getting a mouthfull of shell in the process, I quit trying and continued on with the hot foods. Wanting to be a little bit healthier, I decided to try out their fruit bar. Big mistake! The fruit was tasteless and the cherries, which I would have loved to gorge myself on, had brown spots all over them. Not fresh-looking at all! Finally, it was time for dessert. I was excited for ice cream since buffet places usually have a great ice cream bar. I was very upset to see that the ice cream bar consisted of a soft serve machine and that's it. No peanuts, no chocolate sprinkles, no hot fudge, no strawberry syrup. I liked my ice cream but it would've tasted much better with some hot fudge. Maybe it was an off night but it's not worth making another trip to find out.

Went there for lunch on Saturday ($16). It was worth it. They have a wide selection of food items. The seafood list includes king crab, dungeness crab, oyster, shrip, mussel, clams, etc. The fruit selction is very good also. They have a larger selection of fruit, dessert, and sushi than most Chinese buffets. The place has a lot of customers, so the food stays fresh. Well, as fresh as a buffet gets. The seafood was very good. The sushi was o.k. The fruit was good. The dessert is better than most Chinese buffets. And the bathroom is actually clean. You don't see too many Chinese restaurants with a clean bathroom. I would go there again.

Do No confuse this place with the one in North Seattle, they are not anyhow connected, I asked. This one is 10 times better. A 30 minute drive from Kent, WA is well worth it. This is the only buffet restaurant that I would go to again and again and again. They have everything from Sushi, to seafood, to meat dishes, salad and dessert. If you have been here you should go. It's worth the drive, in my mind and yes I will definately go back again and again, once a month or so! =)

As a fat girl I tend to stay away from buffets, you know, places where you see people like me (i.e. fat) in leggings and tank tops filling their plates and gorging themselves with all you can eat madness then trying to stuff their purses full to have some free takeout for later. This is one place where I get over it. I'm not a big fan of seafood so it's hard for me to go out with my mom and her husband for dinner and not be surrounded by things that swim, or filter, or both. I have to say that Super Buffet makes both him and his red-headed step-child happy. This fact is so apparent, that last year when we had the absolute crappiest Christmas ever, we freakin came here because my mother and I refused to cook it was so depressing. The dessert bar is crappy if you're into that kind of thing, but this isn't the place you go to for that. You go here for crab legs. It's most definitely crazy when they come out, but with that kind of turnover you're sure to be getting fresh food so I never complain about the wait. The sushi never stays out for long either, another *yay* point from me. Lunch is our favorite time to go though, far cheaper and not a crazy house like it is at dinner. This place has a decent fruit bar, though not the best quality and ripeness. I'd love for that part of it to be better. I love the noodles and rice and the spring rolls are really yummy too. My three year old even loves this place. It's nice to be able to go out and feed everyone and have no complaints for the night. Another really cool thing is that they do per pound take out! The biggest peeve that I have is that when we order sodas, they fill up a pitcher to go around and do refills (such an odd hybrid of service and buffet style get-it-yourselfness.) Great idea, no running back and forth! Except it ends up going flat really fast from sitting out. If you can get them to give you fresh refills, which I hate asking for, it's so much better. I just order water now to combat this though.

This is a bit of a trek to go out here for food, but my family and I will travel far and wide for a good buffet. The sushi selection here is pretty awesome. They have a wide assortment of goodies which are sure to please any sushi eater. Granted, the pieces are wee bit small but hey, this is a buffet. Knock yourself out and grab 5, or 20! If you enjoy seafood, they have a variety on hand - shrimp, oysters, and CRAB. My plan of action involves me hiding out in the corner, waiting for the next batch of steaming crab legs to come out. Then, you will see me stampeding my way through the masses, actually more like slithering my way through the crowds (I'm short, so stampeding is not the correct terminology) to grab handful of these bad boys. Absolutely delicious and well worth the wait. There are other kinds of dishes as well, that I can't really comment on because I usually stuff myself silly with the crab legs and sushi. Also, there is a nice selection of fruit, but who the hell eats this stuff at a buffet? Not I. A meal is not complete with dessert and lo and behold, Super Buffet also has a yummy soft serve machine as well as an assortment of ice cream. If you're ever in the dirty south, I'd highly recommend making a pit stop here. Just don't get in my way of the crab legs!

Brand new chinese buffet place in Dupont, WA (South of Tacoma) just off I-5 in new strip mall. China Bufet is a great place for taking out large families for lunch or dinner. This place is packed. They have 7 large buffet tables with a large variety of food. Lots of tasty chinese dishes. They also have a sushi bar and a big ice cream bar (8 different flavors plus a soft serve machine). Prices: $7.99 lunch, $11.99 dinner, beverages extra.

Awesome sushi. Almost as good as some specialty sushi places. Everything is all in all good. The staff is nice but a little quick to bring your bill, in an attempt to push you out quicker. Don't feel rushed. Verry clean atmosphere.

It was ok. Food all over the floor, kids screaming, the food wasn't the best either, some were over cooked. I have had a lot better. The price to eat there was a lot too.

Getting a good experience at Super Buffet is all about timing ... there is a window of time when everything tends to be very good. This window is shortly after the big rush, but well before the crowds die down. During this time, the food is fresher ... meaning it hasn't been sitting around. I've found that 1:15 - 1:30 works for lunch and 6:30 - 7:00 for dinner. The choice of food here is better than most other Asian buffets, but the price here is also higher than most. The snow crab here (which seems to be an attraction for many people) is a bit tastier than other buffets I been to, and the fish is generally very good. Again Super Buffet main advantage is the variety of food served here is more than most other Asian buffets. The service here is no different than a typical buffet-style restaurant - pretty much they seat you and at some point they come around and refill your drinks. No better or worse than other Asian buffets ... even Old Country Buffet. If you expect an attentive server like the one you find in regular restaurants, then you shouldn't be at a buffet restaurant in the first place ... you get what you pay for ... lots of food, but it's self service.

I give this buffet a 3-star rating which is actually pretty good for a lunchtime fix. I am not a big seafood eater, so that could be why I didn't give it a higher rating. The food here is plentiful and they do serve a big variety. The taste is fair to good, typical bland Americanized Chinese food. A few of the better items are the coconut shrimp, peanut chicken, and the non-breaded chicken dishes. If I get a fried, breaded food, I don't like the texture after it sits for a while in the warmer. It's fairly inexpensive at lunchtime, but for real Chinese food, you are better off going to a local restaurant in Tacoma, like the Szechuan. It is pretty good for going away functions and it's really close to Fort Lewis.

When it comes to buffets, you have to go in with a certain mindset: That it isn't going to be as good as a la carte, and that quantity is the key. Super Buffet is actually the rare buffet that brings quality into the mix. The food is always fresh and there is a great range of everything from fresh fruit to seafood of all kinds. I love the stuffed shrimp, fried shrimp, spicy chicken and shrimp in a cajun cream sauce -- and all of the Chinese mainstays: general tso's chicken, lo mein, dim sum and hot and sour soup by the vat. And their sushi is actually pretty good! It's no-frills, but definitely solid California roll, among others. I like that they offer desserts including soft serve and pastries so it's a complete meal. Their plates have gotten smaller over the years, which is kind of entertaining, because it's a buffet -- it's not going to keep people from getting more food! Service can be hit or miss, but really, it's not a big issue.

A lot of choices to eat from a little expensive and you have to go get your own drinks no wait staff is really needed

Now this is what Chinese Buffet's should aspire too, Lots of selections and choices, and one of the better sushi bars I've ever seen at a Chinese Buffet. They have numerous choices of chicken and beef dishes, also many chicken dishes that are not covered in a thick breaded dough, which I like. Some of the tastier dishes include, the pepper chicken, and the walnut shrimp. The dim sum and pot stickers are better than other places as well.

Great food, huge selection, a little expensive and some of the food wasn't cooked enough while some was cooked too much... still very good, recommend for lunch

One of the best chinese buffett around, I could've gave 5 stars but gave 3 since the Sushi man is so mean. He had some delicious looking rolls behind the glass window and I asked him for a piece, he yelled "NO!" I was thinking, ok, no biggie, it's just a piece of sushi... but why the hell is he yelling at me? I walked past the sushi bar later and noticed someone had dropped a dollar bill in his tip jar, immediately he grabs that plate (the one I asked for earlier) and offers a piece to that person. WOW... He will give you dirty looks if you take a sushi without dropping some change in his tip jar... what a wierdo... I will give this place 5 stars when he is no longer employeed there.

Going to Super Buffet for lunch on a Sunday is a bit more expensive. But that's because the weekends are when the buffet busts out their best seafood dishes. Sushi, myriad Asian dishes, salad, desserts, and ice cream are still available.

Ever since my favorite Chinese buffet in Bonney Lake closed (Panda Buffet), I've been looking for another buffet that has peanut chicken. Finally, I found it! I absolutely love this place for the most part. My favorite items are the peanut chicken, crab legs, coconut shrimp, ginger crab, and the golden doughnuts. I've tried a few things that were a miss, at least for me (crawfish, for one) but for the most part this place is excellent. Your glass is never empty and the servers get rid of your dirty dishes immediately.

OMG.. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants that my sister ever found. We go there all the time, especially when Lil Man and I go back home. This buffet is the place to be at least for us for every holiday, special events, or just because. The food is always fresh from crab legs, to the different kinds of sushi. There there is all kinds of chinese food, seafood, fresh fruits, and desserts galore. Lil Man gets chicken strips, french fries, and lots and lots of fruits plus ice cream. Me, I always get sushi, crab legs, fried rice, beef -n- broccoli, and lots more.

On the way home from a long hard day of shopping at Shipwreck Beads in Lacey we happened to notice this buffet in Dupont. We decided to check it out and we were amazed by the selection of food. They even had out small octopus, crablegs, oysters, shrimp, and a lobster dish. It was a sunday lunch so I don't know what sort of selection they have for weekday lunches. The price was reasonable for the selection available and the food was great imo. Don't come here if you are on a sodium restricted diet as like most chinese food restaurants the sodium levels of the food are sky high.

I wish there was some place between a three and a four. We've only been to Super Buffet twice, and I'd go again except my car is broken and Dupont is hard to get to, really. In the middle of suburb no where. The food is pretty warm, for being a buffet, and they really have like, all different kinds of asian food, which is sort of weird, but nice. You can tell that after like, two hours, the staff sort of wants you to leave, even if it's pretty empty, anyways. The ice cream and jello and pudding are good, as well. Also, they have tiny little octopi that are really chewy. Make sure to try the shark fin suit. One time when we were there, they had a giant birthday party with like, five tables pushed together, so maybe it's a hot spot for birthdays. And the staff clears the tables really often.

Great food. Best selection I've ever seen around. All quality food. Hostess service was great. Busboy service a little slow...a lot of adverted eyes when dishes needed cleared. Bathrooms modern, big, and spotless.

How do I give this place NO STARS?! Food is Tasteless & the staff hovers over you while you eat. You can really tell that it's about the $$ at this place. They overcharge for crappy food. Went there twice. Once the a/c was out on a 90 degree day & they gave no discount for the people that still suffered thru the extreme heat. BAD BAD BAD!!!

I have lived across the street from this restaurant for years and because the patrons use our resident parking, I hold it against the restaurant. :) But anyway, I do love Chinese food and got talked into going there for dinner one night. Nice big place, lots of choices. I hate seafood so if you are not a seafood lover, you will go home hungry. And no fried rice? I was so disappointed! But the salad bar was fresh and had lots of fruit. I personally would not go again, I didn't get my money's worth. But if you love seafood then this place is for you! And from all of the residents that live near-by, we don't all get up @ 8 am on a Sunday to go eat at a buffet!! Expect the lines to be really long on weekends and we don't appreciate the garbage left on the ground, you yelling at your kids running around because they're bored and smoking in front of our windows. Gross!! Go to the Lacey location if you are impatient and rude!! Thank you!

The whole concept of a buffet totally skeeves me out, but I will say that Super Buffet has really good sushi! It's always clean and they have (of course) a TON of food. Stay away at dinner time; it's a madhouse.

    (3)
  • Terry H.

I ate here on a weekend night, so not sure if the lunch choices are as bountiful, but this is one huge buffet! Multiple fish choices, various seafood dishes, and the ever popular crab legs are highlighted on the dinner buffet, but I concentrated on the standards so as to compare them with other Chinese buffets. The majority of the dishes I tried were tasty, but I found a few too many to be spicy, which is why I only gave four stars. The desert bar was as big as some buffet's entire output, and there is a sushi bar for those so inclined. The waitstaff was attentive, of course, having to fill your drinks since they charge extra for pop. The decor was full-on cheesy Chinese restaraunt with dragons and lots of red and gold. It's a bit of a drive, but I would definitely like to eat here again. SO...Food - A Staff - A Atmosphere - A

If you're going for seafood, I suggest this place. Great seafood selection. It's cooked perfectly and always fresh. I can't say the same for the other food selections on the line though. Some looked stale. I'd only go for the seafood. If your not going for seafood, I would suggest AAA Buffet. Their seafood selection isn't as great as Super Buffet but everything else is good and freshly prepared.

Super-buffet is a chain and their restaurants can be found all around the south sound. Out of all the locations I've eaten at, the Duport location is the best. The restaurant is spacious and it seems their menu is a bigger as well. They've recently added lobster (though there is limit of 1 per trip) so you can't just load up your plate with nothing but lobster..hehehe. I'm not big on seafood but they've got plenty of other dishes. I like the Hong Kong Beef and chicken with broccoli. But I'm a simpleton and those of you with more sophisticated asian palettes might find their menu on the basic side. Anyways, for $14-15 of all you can eat, it ain't bad. There's plenty of space as well so it's food for a large party of people.

This used to be a favorite spot. They've lost our business. We went in for lunch yesterday. We used to go pretty regularly. We haven't been in a while. All of the food was OLD. It was recycled from the night before. Given that the price is higher on Saturdays, that was a rip-off. We noticed right away that the parking lot was empty, and Asian customers that we typically see were not there. That should have been our clue. Of course, I ended up with an upset stomach. So long. We will not be back.

My parents goes to this place alot. Well, the place is huge and the options are plentiful from seafood to american food to desserts. The staff seem to be quick to clean messes, and maybe because of the language barrier, they dont seem to come to you unless you have a bunch of dirty plates or if you wave em down. Busy weekends!!!

So very bad! The food is often left there forever. The sushi was stale, and obviously made in advance (like grocery store sushi) The crab was overcooked and overly salted, as was everything else on the menu. The dim sum was terrible and dried out. Nothing worth eating was refreshed often, and the foods that were refreshed are usually carb "fillers" that make you full and make you leave after having one plate. Definitely NOT worth the price. It seems to be catered to people who have lost their tastebuds or sense of smell or don't give a ... What they stuff down their mouths. I have been here twice and I thought the first time they were having an off night. Nope!!! Never again. For the same price, I would rather drive down to Lacey for Main Buffet which has sushi chefs AT the station churning out fresh sushi constantly or removing old ones that have been sitting out. Their selection may be smaller than Super Buffet but I wouldn't subject anyone to eating here if they valued their money or body. This place also gives off the vibe that they are serving you cheap crud for their maximum profit. No bueno!!!

Read other reviews. Some, have Super Buffet pegged correctly. When they first opened back in 2006, they were the best in the business. But something's changed. The facilities are grand but the food quality is not consistent. The Super Buffet in Lacey WA. That's another story!

I actually did enjoy this place, it was friendly and had a nice setting. The food was pretty standard however, not terrible, but not a huge bargain for the prices. I would definitely go again, like I said, I still Enjoyed this place. Out of Ten, I'd give it a high seven, low eight.

Absolutely horrible... Don't even waste your time or money. You can definitely tell that this place was a has been. The food is substandard and the condition of the restaurant could be renovated. The carpet is old and stained, even the dishes are stained. Imagine that. White plates with stains. Bring your own cups. $35 dollars for two adults and a 2 year old. The staff was friendly none the less.

Second time I've been here. First time was absolutely horrible and swore I'd never be back but I did return over a year later. Service has improved I think. Food - there's a lot to choose from but like other reviews have said already it's not fresh. I was going to get the garlic bread for my son but it was rock hard, as if it had been sitting there since yesterday. A lot of other things tasted old as well. Not a bad buffet in my personal opinion, just wouldn't be my first choice. There are plenty of other places to go to. Only go here if you're extremely desperate or you have no gas to go anywhere else.

The food was decent. After I finished eating decided to go wash my hands. The sinks were disgusting! Black mildew everywhere! Heaven knows the last time they cleaned them. I figure if the state of the bathroom is like this, I'd hate to see the kitchen. Obviously, cleanliness is not a priority if the public restrooms are gross.

Honestly to my most honest opinion this place doesn't even deserve a star!! Today I took my entire salon out to eat in celebration of my birthday first there was poor greasy selection of petty food then the service was completely shitty..... The guy brought over a pint of soda out in the open for us to serve ourselves the cups were dirty the pint holding the Coke was filthy. We did not drink from that pint because they're floating debris in it.... And lastly when the check came I was surprised to see that they had pulled out $15 to tip themselves without my knowledge.. Had they not done so I would have gladly tip $20-$25.... First time ever being here was honestly the worst experience ever. If I was to known the outcome of the poor variety of food choices and crappy service I would've treated them to Korean barbecue instead. Don't worry I'll gladly never come back here again!

Came her to eat with my family last night. It just wasn't a very friendly environment. The waiters they had didn't acknowledged us or asked us whether everything was Okay or to even check to see if we needed more water! Refills on water is a must! We were still eating and they had already gave about checks! How rude! And we were pretty forced to give them a set gratuity when they did crap for us! My brother-in-law had to ask the waiter for my sister's drink hella times. The only reason why we went here for dinner was bcuz my dad wanted to eat here. But I swear, never again. At least for me.

Expensive for buffet and highly overrated. Most of the food was odd tasting. Will not go back.

All the none-Asian peeps think food is decent. I'm sorry but this place is the worst Chinese buffet I've ever tasted. AAA buffet in Tacoma is a little better.

I was really hoping to like this place but the food was cold and old. Very limited and not so fresh sushi. Peking duck looked like it had been sitting out since the day before. Baked oysters tasted rotten...very dissatisfied customer :( I'll stick to Mika in FW or Main Chinese buffet in Lacey!

  • Tiffany S.

Food was cold. Our waiter didn't give us good service: no refill on my water, plates stacked up, was in the corner phone on loud playing. Very disappointed.

We were just got transfer to this air to the base, and this is the best seafood buffet restaurant i know of, we love seafood, they got lobsters and oysters, we don't have it in Geogia Atlanta. Price at $16 Sunday a person, i think it's great price with all that selections.

We had dinner on a Friday evening. There were maybe 20 people there. The food was very greasy. The lobster was hard and the squid too chewey to eat. The BEST thing was the atmosphere. It was good. I will not be back. $17 per person is way too high. In actuality, $5 would have been too high

Out of all the Chinese buffets I've been to so far in Washington this is one of the cleanest. The food is pretty good and there's a decent variety of different things. The employees are very polite and quick on their feet. My hubby's favorite Chinese buffet for sure.

Once upon a time, back in the day, this place was bangin. Great food for a good price. Especially since it was an all you can eat buffet, naturally I took the challenge. I was able to have my full and then some. This place had Tiramisu once upon a time. Not any more. I asked if they were bringing it out and they said YES! They never brought it out -_- . My family and I have been to this place a few more times throughout the year and I felt like it has been degrading over time. The food is always the same, which isn't always a bad thing. The crab is always cold and the food is extremely oily. It was not like this before. Oh yeah, I think I may have forgotten to mention, STILL NO TIRAMISU! That was the only thing bringing me back to this place. The staff and servers here are not bad. The environment is fair. This place sees a lot of traffic during lunch hours. It is really hard to find a great Chinese Buffet nowadays. This place could be better like it was back in the day. Maybe, just maybe, they will spark my interest once again. The sushi is pretty good too.

I was here with my Family on Thanksgiving and I love the ambience. Typical Chinese Restaurant but it's cleaner, spacious and fancier. The service was alright but fast. In terms of food, some were delicious and some are just so-so. I'm from Vancouver but I never fail to go back here with the fam whenever we're in the US. I don't think the price is expensive for the buffet, that's the average buffet price here in Van, I don't know about other places though.

    (4)
  • Ben L.

Lots of seafood options. Kind of meh food. If you don't like seafood then their dinner buffet isn't worth the price since it's 75% seafood. If you're looking for Americanized Chinese buffet this also might not be your first choice.

I have been a long time customer to this establishment. I have gone to many a hale and farewell here. When I came in with my kids the waitress took my son's high chair while we were still eating and hovered over us in attempt of rushing us out of the restaurant as well as being incredibly rude. So after everything went down I went to the front to get the managers number. Once I spoke to the manager and he watched the camera footage he said it was my fault because my son dropped jello on the floor and it is too difficult to get out of the carpet. I should be able to get up and wash my son's hands without being rushed out of a restaurant. So instead of explaining to me what the solution was for how rude this waitress was he gave me times and told me everything that my kids did wrong. This is not a family friendly environment and I will never be returning for work or for family functions. I have also filed a complaint with BBB.

Delicious! I lived in China for two years, and this is one of the few American Chinese restaurants I've been to that reminds me of the excellent dishes I had there. This Chinese food is more savory than sweet, unlike a lot of other Chinese restaurants in the U.S. We've lived in Dupont for two years and never went here. I wish we'd gone sooner!

    (4)
  • Jason W.

Not so much. We went on a Wednesday evening and while they did have multiple versions of crab legs, shrimp and other seafood you could tell that it wasn't terribly fresh. We paid $14 per adult; too high a price for what we got. If they left off the seafood and concentrated on better quality regular dishes they could drop the price and get more customers.

    (2)
  • Eric L.

Good food, decent refresh intervals, and a solid spread. This is consistently one of the best Asian buffets I have ever dined at, and is a staple for quick and easy dining in Dupont. As with all buffets, the best food will be had on Fridays and weekends - so keep that in mind if you are planning to give this great restaurant a shot!

  • Matt C.

My aunt found mold on the crab there. We told the owner and all he did was deny it was mold and then accuse us of trying to get a discount. We paid the bill and left. Please do not go here it is horrible.

This is the best Chinese buffet around JBLM hands down. Not the cheapest, but you get great food for just a little more than you pay at other Chinese places that do not have true buffets. It's hard to believe that a location like the PNW that has such a large Asian population has so few high quality Chinese buffet and/or Asian restaurants. They have a very large dining area, and around lunch time expect it to be filled with military and civilians from base. Food is always fresh, and I have never had to wait on the staff to bring a new item out, unlike many other buffet places. If your in this area, and your wanting a Chinese buffet don't waste your time going anywhere else. I have tried a lot of the other Asian restaurants in the area, and they do not compare.

We've been going here for a few years. My family loves asian buffetts and this happens to be one of their favorites. If your not a fan of meat, than this is not the place for you. It seems like everything is fried or meat in some type of sauce. Pretty standard buffett items nothing different. Honestly it appears that they use the same type of fried meat and throw a different sauce on it and call it something else. We went for lunch this last time and I was a bit disappointed. Food wasn't replenished as much as dinner time so some of the food looked like it had been there for a bit. My daughter is a fan of fried fish and I had to go up there 3 times befor they finally put more out.

Very disappointed....food dry and overcooked, mislabeled. They don't take American Express so we paid in cash...they pocketed the money. I don't think that we'll eat there again.

Large selection of food. A lot if seating. Very clean establishment. Food is good and fresh. One of the better buffets in the area. Reasonably priced.

We went at lunch time, hence the food was actually pretty fresh. If you probably go at other times, it probably isn't that way. First buffet I've seen with a sushi counter with a large array of pre-made sushi. I couldn't find any vegetarian rolls though (cucumber, avocado, carrot). I don't think the sushi was on ice either, sooooooooo? Also, a lot of the food I got (fried rice, mei fun, low main, sugar breads, the broccoli & carrots from the chicken & broccoli) were pretty oily/greasy. Even the hot & sour soup was off putting. I felt a little ill since I am not used to so much oil. Maybe I need to build up a tolerance. The ice cream was good though. And they have a big dessert/fruit counter. Moderately good cantaloupe and watermelon. Even with all the JBLM people taking their lunch, there still was quite a bit of food to select from. I saw a sign that they are adding a hibachi section soon, so that could be cool. It's a buffet, so don't get your hopes up. But it is bigger than most.

I'm not normally a fan of buffets since the food is typically not that great and this place doesn't change that stereotype. However it ain't bad and the weekends from my experience had crab legs and crawfish which makes this place pretty good for a buffet place. There's some cooks there for Mongolian BBQ and sushi which aren't too bad from what I heard from the fellows I went with. And they restock their food quite often so rarely will you not have the options that they laid out. I will say that their donuts are pretty amazing so I suggest eating those. Another good thing about this place is that it's quick to get seated and quick to get food though that's pretty typical for these types of places but it's especially good because it's in close proximity if a military base so whenever we have to have a relatively quick lunch this place is a good place to go to. If you're indecisive and don't know what sort of Asian food to eat I would suggest this place as far as ease and options go but if you had something in mind I'm sure there are better places to go.

I've been to this establishment a few times overall I give it three stars. My friends all stay that this is the best Chinese buffet around. I do know they bring in busloads of people to this restaurant. I think it's reasonably priced easy parking.

  • Corinne P.

Yuck.... and even more yuck. I am not a fan of this place but since there aren't any close chinese places near post.... well, it is what it is. There is a ton of seating, which is good, especially when a lot of army folks roam in and out of there during lunch hours. The food has always been meh. I know not to expect much except for an upset stomach for the rest of the day. But I do like their egg drop soup... I guess you can't really screw it up. I would rate this higher if they actually cared about the food being prepared. Maybe less sodium and more flavor would be a start.

  • Leticia G.

A lot of the food was cold or obviously not fresh. They had a lot of options but very few great options. The price was not worth all you can eat cold food.

    (2)
  • Donny U.

Many tables and seating and booths. The food was great! Except the sushi. Too wet. But the standard buffet fare was good in general. They even had sweet tea. Which I don't expect any joint to have in the PNW.

  • Kim G.

This is the buffet place so do not expect any excellence in service other than server will serve your drinks and come to clean your empty plates. One thing that had improved in this place is the sushi selection and sushi rolls. If you ever have any complaints, please be prepare for front staff will come to you with loud, "what is the problem here?", I strongly encourage front staff to go through customer service before approaching customer with any inquiry regards to their foods.

This place rocks for a Chinese buffet. Its in a small town of Dupot, Wa. Very clean place and a huge variety of food. I'm a huge fan of their seasoned crawfish. They have more than enough food to feed an Army. The food in most cases is fresh. Their kimchi rocks! And they have other dishes that are not Chinese which they try cater to a typical person who doesn't necessarily eat Chinese food. I'd rate this place 4 stars based upon years of experience with Chinese buffets. Definitely a must. Good place for large groups and reasonable priced. Enjoy.

This place is hella bomb!! It really does shit on muzuki, Main Buffet, & the other Super Buffet in North Seattle. There is so much food here I already feel full looking at everything cause I know imma eat so much shit...smh I just love all the food here...LOL you have to see for yourself The only problems I've ever had here are: 1. The long ass fucken wait on the weekend! 2. Rude ass customer service

    (4)
  • Yvette A.

Pretty much hit or miss with this place. It used to be good, but over the past year seems to be going down hill. The food used to be fresh and delicious, but now you can see some of what looks like what was leftover from the night before, or what has obviously been on the buffet for hours. The fruit is so old, all the flavors have blended together. On weekends they offer crab legs on the buffet. Don't get your hopes up...it isn't good crab. Once the crab is put on the buffet, it goes pretty fast and it takes them a while to replace it. Come to think of it, it takes a while to replace most of the meat products. Its as if they do it intentionally so you eat the rice and veggies. Honestly, the time you visit this place determines the quality of the food. So a couple of days ago, I went in for a carry out order which is normally pretty good...not this time. I ordered chicken with mixed veggies and ended up with a container of cauliflower and broccoli...I was extremely disappointed. The staff is okay, but don't expect them to be on top of things. They'll collect your plates from the table when they see them piled up about four or five high. Be prepared to beg for water as well.

  • Michelle A.

we come here every 1-2weeks, for dinner only. i feel like you get more and better food for the dinner time. the service is basic, we love their crab legs because they are served hot with butter. have tons of different selections of veggies, meat and seafoods, sushi and desert too. the buffet tables get a little messy and the spoons are usually greasy from ppl grabbing food and stuff, which is kind of gross, they could keep it cleaner imo. the foods are always hot, they refill it pretty fast too, never had to wait for a dish, sometimes the crab legs are a little slow because everyone wants them. a fun place for a family outing, kids will love it.

Food is what you would expect at a Chinese American buffet. I can definitely a lot eat here. Sushi bars needs improvement. Would help if there were signs to know what the rolls/nigiri are. Usually the service is great, but the most recent time I went, our waitress was rushing us out. The restaurant was not even full, so I didn't see the point. When we had stopped eating for five minutes, she came and gave us the check. Cool, no big deal. We went back to get more food. She came back while we were eating and asked for our payment. Uh...rude. When she came back to give us our receipt, she hovered over us and waited, awkwardly, while my guy wrote in the tip and signed the receipt. It's not like I was wiping out all of their food. Probably won't be back for awhile.

The food was great, seafood was fresh, and sushi quality and selection were pretty good. Service was friendly and attentive. I only gave it 5 stars because although is was very good and a quality eatery, it didn't blow my mind.

  • Jim T.

Lets start off by saying I wouldn't of given a star at all but I had to to give a review. I took a group of six to dinner and I have to say it was embarrasing. It was some of the worst food i have ever had. The bathrooms were disgusting and to top off the meal after paying well over one hundred dollars the guy that brought us our drinks had the nerve to follow us out the door asking for a tip. I suggest to all that you not patron this restaraunt unless you like hepetitus.

    (1)
  • Mike C.

I've never given a 1 star review before. I use to think this place was the bomb. Now I'm not sure I'll ever go back. Disappointed by the variety and quality of food. How can something be both over cooked and cold? I hate to be negative but found nothing positive on this trip to the buffet to write.

    (1)
  • James G.

The staff are friendly but the food was just so-so. Seafood such as clams and crab were drowned in goopy sauce that overpowered the taste. Nothing was bad but nothing was better than okay either. It is not a good value for the $14.99 weekend dinner price.

  • Jutta L.

It was so so good. The choice of food is huge and everything is delicious. From seafood over teriaky over salad to dessert! I am amazed and extremely full ;)

Best buffet I've ever been too! Lots of choices of Chinese, American and sushi. Super fresh and delicious, all for $7.99. Wow!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
