Not a bad place at all. Looking at the reviews here saying management or the lady at the counter is rude, GUYS; expect the same kind of treatment at any other fast food restaurant in China. The people here are not being rude or mean to you because you have a bazillion questions about the menu. That's just the way a lot of Chinese are. If you're looking for basic Chinese food at a fraction of the cost you normally pay, then come here. Expect to wait a few minutes after ordering (tip: order online) as this place is more of a popular takeout place rather than dining in. This place is my dirty little secret whenever I'm having a guilty pleasure craving for cheap Chinese takeout. Especially if I'm broke from paying for rent in this area. If I'm feeling a little richer that day and wanting to be healthier, I'll pay Asian Bistro a visit.

Hit or miss as my husband's family describes this place. Great on good days, forgettable (not horrible) other days. Our last encounter was good. I don't think their portions are horribly small, but they are not large in comparison to other Chinese places we have been. They got our order right, made sure there was plenty of sauces and fortune cookies, and the bill for 5 take out combo plates was not painful. Dumplings- meat ok, dough too thick and somewhat chewy. Fried rice- pretty tasty. Shrimp- good cook time. Go again? Sure.

I was in town for business from out of state and my colleagues and I wanted Chinese and saw this local place. We have it a try and was very displeased with not only the food but also the terrible service. After ordering our food, my group of 10 sat down waiting. Once our food was ready the lady who took our order called out the order and we began moving the tables together so we could all talk and eat together. The staff yelled at us not to move the tables together, and then in the middle of our meal the lady who took our order confronted my colleague and stated "you no pay"! We all laughed because he had the receipt in his pocket and we told her he did but you were to disorganized by writing all our orders on a single receipt and lost track. She proceeds to go away and leave us to our lunch. The food was sub par Chinese food, I ordered the beef and broccoli combination plate and had 90% fried rice, and 9% broccoli and 1% beef. Another colleague ordered just friend rice and they put it only in those take out containers. She asked for a to go plate to eat with rather than eating it out of the box and the lady got very upset and said "this is how it comes, you don't need plate". After a minute of back and forth she finally got her plate. As we were getting up to leave, most of us couldn't finish the heaping load of rice so we asked for bags to carry out our food to save for later. The man behind the counter asked how many bags we needed and I said six. One for each of us, he said "you don't need 6, here's three". I laughed and now I am pissed and demanded 6 and got them and left. I certainly will never patronage this establishment ever again, the customers are the ones who keep them in business and frankly they need to rethink their business plan. Men at Wok is more like Men at attitude!

Wasn't given my change tonight or a receipt so pay attention to that. Sadly I have to take away a star. Food was still good and not too expensive

They are the best Chinese take-out in the area. Hot & sour soup to die for, I can't find its equal even in fine dining spots. Service can be a little slow on Fri/Sat night and some of the staff can seem gruff, but the quality and price of the food makes it worth it every time.

Food is amazing but the staff is horrible, rude, and nasty. Always make sure you get your change back. I say go only for takeout.

Online order at 5:11pm Arrived 5:35pm Paid ( foolishly added a tip) 3 people total working there... Left with food 6:11pm All I got was " sorry" and "we're busy" Got home 20 minutes later- NO pork fried rice or pancakes/sauce for the moo shu.... Arg. Seriously!? Later found out it wasn't cashew chicken, so too spicy for my spouse. He got 0 to eat... For $40....

Great for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. When we lived in the area, we would eat there or get carry out weekly. The staff was friendly and happy to see us. The food was predictably good. Loved it!

Ick. Loud (staff yelling seemingly randomly at each other...two feet from each other). General Tso Chicken was tasty, but meat was weird. Beef with broccoli looked good, but tasted awful. Cashier was super curt. Food bits on all the dine in tables. No thanks.

Eating at this place was so bad that I had to create a Yelp account just to warn others. Customer service was nonexistent. The woman working at the cashier that looks like Spock from Star Trek was rude and not very friendly. Unfortunately my classmates and I came to eat at this place because some felt for Chinese food, and there were not many available in the area. The lady had the nerve to talk bad about one of my coworker (Indian) in Chinese (Cantonese) to her son who was preparing the food. I had to tell the lady in Cantonese that I understood her rude comments, and that she should watch what she says to her customers. They place their food in a to-go box but yet hesitate to offer a to-go bag. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go elsewhere.

Enjoyed this place on our first try. The spring roll wasn't greasy and neither was the crab rangoon. The General Tso's chicken and orange chicken was tasty, if a little chewy/crunchy. Love that this place is close to home.

    1. Wrong address on Yelp 2. Mediocre food...worst Gen Tao Chicken ever! 3. Asian woman that took order was quite impatient giving impression that she was super busy but when I got there the place was deserted. Never a good sign. WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN

I used to favor another Chinese place in town over this one, but since the other place has gone downhill in quality of meat, I've been a bigger fan of this place. It's a typical fast food Chinese take out -- meaning, it's usually empty, it's a little cold and has almost zero ambience-- however, the food is cheap, fast and good and the reason I'm giving them 4 stars is their crab rangoon is DIVINE. As in I bought it 3 times in one week --divine.

Men at Wok is just the pits it's unbelievable how bad this place is. Instead of going to Asian Bistro which is a little bit more expensive I decided to subject myself to this place. Ordered a General Tsao Chicken Daily Special with Pork Fried Rice. Usually in New York if i tell the person taking my order may "i please" have chicken fried rice they usually change it no problem at no extra cost. Instead I was told NO CHANGES NO CHANGES twice in a pretty stern tone. OK calm down lady it's not that serious, move on. I also ordered a side of Crab Rangoon as well. Now you would think that the General Tsao would come with a decent amount of chicken for the price they charge here and also the Crab Rangoon keep in mind I ordered a large size of it. Once i opened up my food I might as well just ripped up my money thrown it in the air and danced all around it. The General Tsao had a ton more rice than it did chicken, in fact I think it had maybe 8 small pieces of chicken which i finished very fast. The Crab Rangoon were so small and I was only given about 7 pieces. What a joke this place is, cannot believe people actually like this establishment, SPEND THE EXTRA $$$ at Asian Bistro at least you will get what you paid for.

Hands down the best Chinese take out chinese food spot I've ever been too. This has been my favorite Chinese take out spot for over 15 years and many of my friends and family agree. I never miss a chance to stop in. The portions are huge on the combos and prices have changed very little over the years - a GREAT deal! Try the crab rangoons and sesame chicken combo. Super fast also.

This is a good place to have lunch when I am at work. Quick service, fresh, and ample portions. The prices are very reasonable.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
