Pho K&K

My wife and I ended up here only because the most popular Vietnamese place in the area was closed for renovations, and I walked away impressed. The food was perfectly prepared, the spices were great but not overbearing, and the beef was out of this world. What's more, the buy who cooks also takes special care to make sure those nasty string-like tails are removed from the bean sprouts -- I have never seen a restaurant take that much care. My wife had the fried rice, and it was full with crunchy, perfectly cooked veggies, and the rice was cooked to perfection. We also split a order of the steamed dumplings, and you can tell that the wrappers are made in house (not crappy, store-bought ones). Plus the man who runs the place was kind enough to give us one extra dumpling for free, so we had an even six instead of five. What's more, the prices are very fair. The three of us (my wife, our son, and I) all ate for $31, and we had rather large orders. This has officially become my favorite Vietnamese joint, and we will return soon. Check out this hidden gem, you will not regret it!!!
Stopped by today on one of our road trips....was craving some pho. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this place is not it. Pho is bland. The fish sauce for the noodles was tasteless. The stir fried noodles looked unappetizing. One of the worst Vietnamese food I've had in a long long time. But I guess you can't expect authentic Vietnamese food in VT. The owner is very nice and friendly. The place was clean. I'd like to give it more stars. Unfortunately, the food was not good.
Nice place, very clean and new. The owner seated me and waited on me. Friendly gentleman, who talked to me about the area and weather at length. I'm a nut about hot sauce and limes, and easily worked out my special requests. The pho tai was excellent, as were the pork grilled spring rolls. I enjoyed it very much! Give a newer business a try and put this guy on the map!

I have never been disappointed here. The food is always flavorful, meals arrive hot and void of that sat-in-the-light-too-long crust (like we always get at Chili's). My kids can find something that they like (even the picky ones), and taking a group is no problem. My favorite menu item is the strawberry chicken salad. I like it so much that I have tried to duplicate it (without success) at home.
Christy provided exceptional service in the bar area. The food was cooked perfectly to my request and tasted delicious. I ate here during the middle of a dinner rush but since I came alone I was able to get a table immediately in the bar. I would definitely come here again.
Came here on a Friday as a first timer for lunch- Immediately loved the kitsch cattleman decor, warm woodsy barn look. We were seated without a wait and served promptly- My bf opted for the rib eye steak and I had grilled shrimp skewers with rice and my choice of side: smoked mac and cheese which was insanely rich and delicious, although the bacon and smokiness can be overwhelming if you had this as a whole meal. Perhaps fortunately for us, the rib eye came back medium well, rather than medium rare as ordered, we had to send it back and once it arrived properly, the flavor and texture was definitely up to par- We ended up getting it for free, comped on the house! My shrimp were juicy and well seasoned, for 12.99 I thought it was a perfect price and portion for lunch. I'd be interested in coming back for dinner next time, I know the portions and selection are a little more generous, also because I didn't get to experience Longhorn's full potential in terms of appetizers or desserts.

Subway

I typically do not stop at this Subway as 1. It's an "add on" to a Jiffy Mart and I have found they typically don't have the same quality and selection at those versus the standalone franchises. 2. The exit to turn left onto 2A here was always extremely difficult due to the traffic patterns on the highway most of the day. But boy was I surprised when I noted they now have a light on James Brown Drive nearby and the Jiffy Mart has access to the road in the back now so traffic leaving can now use the traffic light to get out! So I decided to give this Subway a try. They are very well staffed for an "add on". At around noon they had 4 people working hard behind the counter and it kept the line moving quite fast. All of the help was friendly, courteous and professional as well. They even had some tables and seats available here! It's nicely laid out and the sandwiches look fresh and to the Subway standard. I think they have a very good thing going here at this Subway and now that you can get out of there without breaking traffic laws or getting your car smushed, it's that much more perfect for a lunch stop!

Natural Provisions

329 Harvest Ln,Ste 100

Reviews:
As others have said this place doesn't have that feel of some healthfood places that some of us try to avoid, but it does have a great selection of healthy products. The grocery section is not huge so can't expect to do all your shopping here. The produce section is pretty good, the salad bar and deli are both good as well. The best part though is the bulk section. So many options and the prices are great for tea, coffee, spices, snacks, etc. Oh, and they sometimes have beef bones in from local farms for people looking to make their own bone broth. And now they even have a growler filling station in the back.
Located underneath the Williston Goodwill store, Natural Provisions is a quiet, calm refuge for anyone in search of bulk nuts or spices. The ambiance is exceptional, especially when you decide to stay awhile and savor one of the many sandwich options made to order. Salads are available from the mediocre-stocked salad bar or cooler case. However, that abundance of calm may be shattered when you start to compare the prices of everyday objects you pickup elsewhere. The difference in price is sometimes astounding and cause for pause. What Natural Provisions gets right is their selection of natural, organic and "green" products that can be hard to find in other mainstream stores. Sure, I'll spend an extra $2.00 to buy vegan cheese flavored popcorn because this is the only place I've ever seen it sold. Come here for the quiet, the selection and the green products. I suggest walking through the aisles a few times to get a sense of what is necessary to purchase here or what can be bought elsewhere. Sandwiches are hit or miss. Take any sandwich from the menu and customize to your heart's content. However, ingredients run the gamut from fresh and green to sad and droopy. Do grab a sandwich punchcard for the next time you buy. After a few "Dagwoods" or "New Englanders", you'll have a free one. All in all, Natural Provisions is a great natural foods store if you know what you want to buy when you first step foot inside.
Pretty cool store- not too overwhelming and doesn't have the same "granola" feel as other healthy food stores. There was definitely a variety of goods and I would go again. However, as expected, it is a bit pricey.

Management is awesome and all the workers are so courteous!! I just wanted to hug each of them. That nice. Food tastes great and from what I've seen, their pies are also really popular. Didn't get a chance to this time but I think I'll also pick a few stuff up from their bakery.
They close at 4 pm. Serve food til 3 pm. Why, at 230 pm are they placing the chairs on the tops of the tables as if they were closing down?! They even asked a couple to move to a different area because they wanted to put those chairs on the tables to close up (again, at 230 pm). It's so rude. My food was good but I won't go back. Who wants to be eating when they are packing up/ closing down a full hour and a half before they are supposed to?!?! It's like they were kicking us out.
Favorite brunch place in the area!!! Consistently good with amazing salmon benedict and delicious baked goods. Prices are comparable to other breakfast places. They also have great fancy-ish prepared foods -- the kind that you would find at an upscale grocery market. Best of all, in the year and a half I have been coming here, never a wait for weekend brunch!!!! Why wait an hour and a half at a Burlington spot when you can be seated right away in their spacious dining room or patio? No clue!

I love this place! Their sandwiches are imaginative and flavorful, their soups are delicious and homemade, and their fresh cookies and squeezed lemonade is a nice touch! Plus smiling and friendly faces behind the counter. With this amazing food, they should invest in sea salt or something better than little iodized packets of salt. (Same with pepper - how about peppercorn grinders?!) Pros: Quick and delicious food, with a large selection of bulbs to buy for "dessert"! Cons: Little packets of iodized salt, ala McDonald's - come on, you can do better than that!!!
The atmosphere would be a five but the small salad with mostly greens, three mandarin orange slices (from a can) and half a handful of craisens averaged it out to a three....the maple vinaigrette gave it an extra star. I am gluten sensitive and the staff steered me away from the soups and they don't have a gluten free bread so the only option was the salad. The greens were fresh and tasty...just not much to the salad. My friend was not impressed with the gazpacho or the quiche. But boy, it is a beautiful spot to have a bite! We loved watching the activity around the pond and marveled at the beautiful flowers. There were plenty of kid friendly options that I might explore if I come back with my little one....will report back if I do. I won't go out of my way to eat here again but if I am hungry and at Gardeners Supply anyway I might give it another try. The staff was friendly and helpful....and the view, paired with a friend made it a lovely time.
I frequent this cafe tucked inside Gardener's Supply about every other week. The ambiance is wonderful and offers the choice of sitting on the patio in the summer or inside the tranquil greenhouse area all year long. The food is consistently good and the prices align with what one would expect to pay for lunch in this area. My favorites include the Russian sandwich (yum!) and the Cabot Cheddar Jalapeno Soup (spicy but delicious!). And be sure to get a Gardener's Supply card (free) for a slight meal discount!

Ramunto’s Brick Oven Pizza

18 Taft Corners Shopping Ctr
Williston, 05495
Reviews:
This is a pretty good pizza joint in Vermont. The slices are huge and so is the pizza. Though you will be paying about 25 dollars per pizza including tax and there's no way around that unless you have some promotion item. You can go there and order slices but then you're limited. The pizza is very good but it's preeeetty greasy. The toppings are plentiful. I frequent visit this establishment but twice they put me on hold for over 10 minutes ! Both these times I've just hung up. The southwest steak and cheese is the pizza I get most and it's very good. The crust is very good and is important to a good pizza. Ramuntos is good, it's not the best but its priced as if it was the best.
This place is fairly new in town, but has easily surpassed any other pizza place in the area. The specialty pizzas are all great along with their calzones, sandwiches, and salads. It's a great place to order whole pizzas from or swing in for a few slices. Their prices may be a bit higher, but it's well worth the difference and you can tell that it's mostly due to fresh, quality ingredients. I'd also say the staff are great and seem to enjoy what they're doing. If you're in the Williston area, I would highly recommend checking it out.
Our office is just down the street from Ramuntos, and we order from them frequently for many events, meetings, etc. What I can say for the pizza is that it is generally very good, and they have the best spicy buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had - I say this as someone that generally doesn't like chicken pizzas, but will always order this one from Ramuntos. Service on the other hand is a bit chilly and rushed at times. Not always the most friendly people to deal with - experience on the phone is quite curt when ordering; expect to get hung up on if they think you've finished, even if you haven't. If it wasn't for that, they would rate a full star higher.

Belle’s Cafe

Went to Belle's for lunch last week with a couple of co-workers. I was really impressed! The food was good and everything tasted quite fresh. We all remarked at how wonderful the bread was. I had the egg salad, which came with a lovely variety of vegetables, and we chose to eat there. The food arrived pretty quickly and I found the service courteous and friendly. The only things that knocked it down a star were the prices (HOLY PRICE CHECK!) and the pickles, actually. The later seemed more like a McD's pickle versus some nice, crisp variety that you might typically find at a high-end deli. Call me crazy but for what I paid, I'd love a better pickle to go along with that lovely sandwich. Beyond that, we loved our lunch here and would gladly return.
Every time I eat here the workers are kind of rude, but the food is really good. It has a cute cafe feel, it just throws you off by the service.
Belle's has changed ownership so many times over the years it's hard to keep track. The quality of the food and service has ebbed and flowed dramatically. It's really the only soup/salad place in town (ignoring Quiznos here), so I still keep coming back. It's a shame someone hasn't knocked it out of the park with this place. Williston could really use a solid soup and sandwich place! (Yes there is Chef's corner, but I'm thinking a simpler place. Many years ago there was one across the street from the library that had THE best bread and sandwiches. So sad it closed and has yet to be replaced with something as good.)

Vermont Tap House

22 Merchants Row
Williston, 05495
Reviews:
The tap house is pretty good overall. Decent pizza and moderately good beer selection. We are not talking mule bar or farmhouse or threepenny beer selection but a decent representation of some Vermont brews plus a number of others out of state. The ambiance needs help though-- it is way too bright and plain. The decor could use some inspiration. Love the Vermonter pizza with bacon and maple syrup. Sandwiches are decent too. Pizza-wise I would still pick flatbread or verita downtown over this place. Still one of your only good choices for a wide selection of brews in Williston.
We got take out, and I tasted 3 different pies: Mad About Meat, the Vermonter, and Solar Flare. The Mad About Meat is pepperoni and sausage - pretty straight forward and delicious! The Vermonter has apple and maple syrup on it, which I personally found too sweet. More bacon, please! The Solar Flare had dried tomatoes which were pretty powerful. I would like more garlic flavor. I found their pizzas good, not great.
We had a great experience coming here for an early dinner, but based on the menu we could see how the kitchen could easily get back up on a busy night. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, because how could you go wrong with that, and the answer is- you can't. The pizza was fantastic and came out pretty quickly. We also had the fried cheese curds which were a bit of a disappointment since they were weirdly bland, still served with marinara but also had shaved parmesan. Turned out it needed the parm for salt, and curds aren't supposed to be mozzarella sticks they are their own thing and should be treated that way. Their list of local brews was a big hit for hubs, and it is nice that they tell you what is on deck... To keep you coming back. Our server was friendly and attentive.

The doctor is in! Great fresh sandwich and great service!
Credit card machine down. Cash only. Out of bacon and no discount offered to account for missing bacon. Be nice if a few more outdoor tables existed.
I had my second bad experience in a row. Last time I went, I placed my sandwich order and waited over a half hour and, seeing others that ordered after me come and go, asked how long it would be. They had somehow misplaced my order, and their way of making it up to me was to make it next. Annoying, but not a huge deal. But my next trip I ordered the same sandwich and the sprouts on it were brown, rancid and slimy. I had gotten back to my office by the time I was eating it, and tried to remove all the rotten sprouts, but the whole sandwich tasted spoiled. At a minimum, for the high prices I'd expect fresh ingredients not visibly spoiled food. The first sandwich I got was good, but at nearly $12 a sandwich, I won't be suffering long waits and gambling on whether or not I will get rotten food again.
