My friend and I stayed here a little while back for a girls' weekend and had a fantastic time. We stayed in the Montgomery Room, which was very large, clean, and comfortable. Our room included a private, detached bathroom a few doors down the hall, but the provided bathrobes and intimate feel of the home (including the fact that there are only a few guest rooms on the first floor) made the detached bathroom adequately comfortable. The common areas were very comfortable, and we felt welcome to use them. Sometimes at B&B's you feel like you're in someone's living room, but this felt like usable guest space. We enjoyed the tea from Vermont Liberty Tea Co., and were especially excited to arrive back at the B&B late one evening to a platter of brownies in the dining room! (Linda was kind enough to share the recipe, though after seeing how much butter was called for - no wonder they were so good!! - I never attempted baking them myself). Coffee on the large porch in the morning overlooking fields and a large lawn dotted with adirondack chairs provided a welcome escape from city life. Luke and Linda were very friendly and fun, eager to offer recommendations but also not intrusive. Breakfast was delicious, and Linda was patient with my friend's several special requests. The dining room included a large, long table, but also a couple of smaller tables for 2 for those who prefer more intimacy. I definitely intend to return!

The epithet "home away from home " is often overused giving it less meaning. In this case not only is it a proper description of the Wilder Farm Inn, but also it's innkeepers Luke and Linda treat you as if you were family (or in my case better than family). The inn provides space to be either alone with a good book or in the middle of new friends you didn't know you had. Fresh baked goodies are always there to greet you as is the every present decanter of port. Breakfasts are not to be missed which include farm fresh everything and home baked breads. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and beautifully appointed. The extra distance from Sugarbush is worth the drive. Nothing this close to the mountain feels like home.

Beautiful, comfortable rooms, delicious, creative breakfasts, and great friendly advice on area events, food, etc. all were readily accessible from Luke & Linda. To top it off, we were able to purchase some lovely pottery as gifts for friends while we visited. We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and found fun activities nearby (water sports, a wonderful craft fair, great food and local beer). Couldn't be happier with our choice to stay at Wilder Farm Inn, and we've been recommending it to whomever we can ever since.

The Wilder Farm Bed & Breakfast was a pleasure to stay at. Luke and Linda are very friendly people and keep a modern style B&B. My boyfriend and I are in our late 20's and wanted to stay somewhere a little more modern than what other B&Bs have to offer. The common areas are full of books, magazines, games, a computer, a television, a fireplace and comfy couches and chairs. Fresh baked YUMMY goods were put out in the afternoon. There is also tea, coffee and evening port available as well! We stayed in the River Room... which had a very comfy bed, a beautiful bathroom with bathtub and shower. in the bathroom there was bubble bath soap, lotions, organic hand wash, a blow drier, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bathtub even had a tray you can use to read your book while relaxing. The breakfast was amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious and perfect-size portions. I had the best piece of toast I've ever had. I didn't think toast coult be so delicious...! Outside the window there were bird feeders that attracted all kinds of birds and even chipmunks. Across the street is a Mad River trail along the river which is quite scenic. All and all, we had great time and enjoyed the stay. I would recommend this place to anyone!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Wilder Farm Inn for two nights last fall for a weekend getaway. Everything about our stay was fabulous - the house is gorgeous and very comfortable, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and Luke and Linda are the two most incredibly friendly and helpful people out there. We can't wait to go back!

Luke and Linda were the consummate hosts for our stay here. We arrived and immediately had a shmooze-fest in Luke's pottery studio about his naked raku technique, looking around at his super interesting work and their new super cute kittens. The farm house is attractive, clean, with generously sized bedrooms and right across the street from a great swimming hole and walkway along the Mad River (which was great since it was unseasonably hot while we were there). Luke had great suggestions for restaurants, hikes and place to see artist's works. Breakfast was great with home grown veggies. The place is family friendly yet also romantic. (The lawn area is a good star gazing area.)

I have stayed here three times and have scheduled a fourth visit in February. The inn is gorgeous and cozy, the rooms are beautiful and well appointed. If you have a room with a bath down the hall, it is still private and it is totally fine. Luke and Linda are so amazing--their breakfasts fill you up for the day, the food is delicious. Luke is a potter and has his studio in the back barn--I look forward to adding to my coffee mug collection with each visit. Luke set us up with great discount ski tickets to Bolton Valley, a really nice place to ski and a welcome change from Sugarbush. While the location is not central in Waitsfield, driving into town, or to the ski areas is a breeze. If you want a relaxing, beautiful, cozy inn, this is it.

I would much prefer to keep Wilder Farm Inn a secret, but Luke & Linda deserve better. It's a beautiful Inn, with super-comfy sitting areas, and lovely rooms. A fire is made and ready to light downstairs each night when you get home in the winter. Breakfasts were perfect, and totally accommodating of my dietary restriction. The Mad River Valley is gorgeous and packed with amazing local food, great skiing, talented artisans like the Naked Potter himself, and super-friendly people. Luke & Linda are great people to be around, and extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. But, everything is as low-key and personable as the Valley itself. The pottery lesson was outstanding, and I learned a ton. Can't think what else we could have wanted. We'll be back.
